We see the SCW Breakdown logo come up on the screen before we see a shot of Giovanni Aries hitting Selena Frost and Ravyn Taylor with the Down the Rabbit Hole and then showing Sienna Swann hitting the Slice of Heaven on Jake Starr. This is followed by a shot of Donovan Kayl hitting the Point Blank on an opponent before showing Syren nailing Josh Hudson with a steel chair.

We see a shot of Dylan Howell clutching the Adrenaline Championship before showing Jake Starr hitting the Shooting Five Starr on Alistaire Allocco inside the Chamber. We cut to a shot of Konrad Raab doing some shadowboxing in the ring before showing Ikiro Yoshida, Derek Adonis and Manvel in the ring with the KABLAMA Sutra. We follow up with a shot of Gable Winchester walking away from Autumn Valentine and Ryan Watson.

We then see a shot of Ravyn Taylor looking down at herself, while posing in the corner before showing Adrenaline Rush in the ring. Shots of Kennedy Street standing in the middle of the ring posing, followed by Katie Steward posing and Bill Barnhart lifting Ikiro Yoshida up with the Barnhart Shoulder Breaker walking to the ring are shown. This is followed with a shot of Regan Street dropping an opponent with the CATastrophe before showing Bree Lancaster nailing Marie Jones with the Classifier, followed by a shot of Tyler Tucker going for the Caffeine Crash before the SCW Breakdown logo comes back up on the screen.

 

The scene then cuts to show the inside of Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan as we see the lights turned out and a red hue coming over the ring as a video plays on the big screen. We see fans in the concourse at some of the merchandising before see a few play to the camera.

 

Spirit: “Breakdown coming to you live from Detroit tonight, and if you didn’t join us for Unflawed, my God, a lot has changed.”

 

The angle then cuts to the inside of the SCW Studios to see Spirit Dansby with Shawn Winters. We see the SCW Breakdown logo up behind them on the screen.

 

Spirit: “Welcome here inside our studios in Toronto. Spirit Dansby and Shawn Winters and before we get started here tonight, we want to make a moment and just extend the support for both Shawn and I to everyone here in Toronto after the horrible event of this past Monday afternoon. The thoughts and prayers of our roster and everyone here in the studio and the promotion are with all those who are effected and we thank the efforts of the first responders who arrived on the scene. Tonight, SCW is going to try and do our best to do what we do best and that is entertain.”

 

Spirit pauses for a moment.

 

Spirit: “And SCW certainly had an entertaining show ten days ago in Tampa Bay for Unflawed. We have a new World Champion. New Tag Team Champion. And an interim US Champion crowned.”

 

Winters: “Kennedy Street is our new World Champion. One on one, she managed to outduel Syren in Tampa Bay and placing for now a happy ending on that story. You wonder though how Syren, Ravyn Taylor and CHBK will respond, but we will hear from Kennedy Street tonight and we know she’ll be defending against someone in a couple of weeks for WTF Wednesday.”

 

Spirit: “David Helms announcing that was to happen and it will happen on May 9th and the World Championship will be on the line. We expect Sienna Swann and Bree Mason to be possible choice you all at home can choose to determine who challenges Kennedy on that night.”

 

Winters: “That’s not all, we figure some other titles may be on the line. The question is who. Jason Helms earned a US Title shot against our interim US Champion, Ikiro Yoshida. He finally has won some gold. What about our World Tag Team Champions…Max Kane and Dawn Lohan. Yes, Dawn Lohan is back and holding gold.”

 

Spirit: “What about the only champion that did not lose the title and did defend it that night, Andrew Raynes, our Adrenaline Champion.”

 

Winters: “In any case, that’s in two weeks. Tonight though, TV Title on the line. Ikiro Yoshida could become a double champion. Interim US Champion and TV Champion. Has to get past Selena Frost and defeat her, a tall order.”

 

Spirit: “And of course, we’ll see Sienna Swann in action. A special treat for you all. She’ll face Donovan Kayl tonight in our main event. We also have some other big matche.s”

 

Winters: “Uh…Spiirt.”

 

We cut to a wide shot to see on the screen behind Spirit and Shawn, a turtle, in an aquarium, with the camera right in front of it.

 

Spirit: “What?”

 

Winters: “I think Breakdown has been taken over by the Lizard people.”

 

Spirit turns and jumps back.

 

Spirit: “Uh…”

 

Ace: “The Lizard King beckons you. WE ARE NOT DONE YET! OOOoooooOOOOoooooOoOoOOoooo!”

 

Cassidy: “You’re such a doofus.”

 

Spirit: “Uh, shall we go to Detroit…”

 

We cut to the shot to see the camera panning up before being forced down.

 

Ace: “No. Gotta listen to him. He’s the Lizard King after all. Remember Unflawed. He saw everything!”

 

Ace clears his throat.

 

Ace: “Now…Gio, with your wonderland and the horrible anger and rage and stupidity, you think you’ve defeated my TOP general, Ace…oh no.”

 

The camera pans up.

 

Ace: “What the hell are you doing? Turtle is talking…”

 

Cassidy: “Don’t you mean Lizard King? Also where are his dancers. One of them I was going to personally get some tips from….for you…yeah…”

 

Ace: “Oh whatever. The Lizard King was just going to say that Giovanni Aries did not beat Ace…and whoa, wait…are you thinking about one of those Lizard sluts?”

 

Cassidy: “Mansluts. I mean we only do missionary and are boring and what not. That’s what Gio says.”

 

Ace: “Well-“

 

Cassidy: “And if he’s a lizard manslut, then well, with the forked tongue…”

 

Cassidy smirks a bit. Ace snaps his fingers in front of her to get her back on focus.

 

Cassidy: “Yeah, I’ll be over there.”

 

Cassidy turns and walks off camera as Ace turns to the camera.

 

Ace: “Anyway, so as I was saying, our Lizard King, high scaly-hided highness, he saw it all. He saw Giovanni Aries get his ass kicked in the greatest defunct strip club Tampa had to offer. Tasting…literally…all of the fruits of the lizardy goodness and well, then Giovanni managed to get a couple of lucky shots in and then Giovanni says he’s the winner. He counts his own shoulders down. No no no…that’s now how the rules of the match YOU agreed to Gio goes. The match didn’t end by three count. Oh no no no, you saw me doing that. That was just because here in the Lizard Kingdom or whatever the hell you blabber on about, we love trickery. So how do you win…well when that’s the thing, I never revealed and it just so happened it was that when you thought you had the win and then left the ring, acting victorious, that was EXACTLY how you lose. You quit. You forfeited. That’s right, you QUIT to the Lizard Kingdom.”

 

Ace shakes his head.

 

Ace: “I know Gio. But tough break and if you weren’t such a dumbass to begin with, we could’ve had fun, but this Lizard Kingdom stuff….it was your downfall and the Lizard King agrees. So I want the commissioner to come down here and PERSONALLY turn over that decision that Jason Phillips was oh so happy to make when Giovanni clearly lost. Make it better, by FORFEIT, Gio ran off, chasing the dragon or whatever the hell he does and just like Regan loves to kick people in the balls, I’m going to give David a slice of home by making him have to do the dirty work here. So DAVID!...DAVID!”

 

Ace turns and starts to go to his door. He then steps out of the room.

 

Ace: “DAVID!”

 

Ace steps back and then stops.

 

Ace: “Just realized, that probably would be scary to him. No one probably ever calls out his name. Regan only communicates his grunts…whatever…Commish…Come on buddy-boy!”

 

Ace turns backs as we see Memphis Cade walking into the room.

 

Memphis: “Got him.”

 

Memphis steps back and points to Helms and smiles. The crowd cheers.

 

Memphis: “There you go…uh…I got other stuff to deal with…so…bye.”

 

Memphis steps behind David as David glances at him and turns back to Helms. Memphis leaves.

 

Ace: “Oh, that boy. Always with the one-track mind. As if it helped me with Gio…anyways, Davey-Boy. I hope Memphis didn’t get too distracted by his plans to tell you what you needed to do here.”

 

Helms just looks at him, amused.

 

Helms: “Needed?”

 

Ace: “Oh yes. It’s important. Lizard Kingdom rules or some damn thing. We’re very big on justice and paperwork and legitimacy and pissing off Giovanni so he does stupid things.”

 

Helms chuckles a bit.

 

Helms: “Look Ace…you had your match and while you can spin it however you want, it’s your fault you didn’t clarify things with the officials and even with the mix up, you didn’t look like much of a winner at the end.”

 

The crowd roars a bit.

 

Ace: “Hey now…that’s their fault. I can’t do EVERYTHING around here. I’m just a mere wrestler and apparently a Judas and a general for the Lizard King army. I got to fill out a lot of paperwork with all of that. Nevermind Cassidy…”

 

Ace turns towards where Cassidy went.

 

Ace: “Hey Cass! You good over there.”

 

Cassidy: “Yep!”

 

Ace turns back. David shakes his head.

 

David: “Well Ace-“

 

Giovanni: “Where is the JUDAS AND GENERAL!”

 

Giovanni lunges into the room and we see a few security guards and agents running into the room, including Dean Black and James Evans. Ace gets his hands up as Cassidy steps up too and steps over to Ace as we then see David Helms pushing Giovanni back.

 

Giovanni: “Let me go! This can end now!”

 

Giovanni grits his teeth as he is pulled back.

 

Ace watches Giovanni and also the security guards.

 

Ace: “Yeah. I think everyone should get out of the room. Everyone but David. Especially the two crazy jackasses.”

 

Ace looks at Giovanni and James as James glances at Ace. He holds up a hand.

 

Gio: “Or I can just take you out now!”

 

He lunges again and James stops him, with the other guards then holding him back too.

 

David: “Enough! We’re not going to have a brawl in the backstage area here. But I do agree this can’t be over. Not like that. And even if I accept you both have one win, one with Giovanni’s rules and one with Ace’s rules…I think it’s time we end it…and let the fans decide how. One more match…on May 9th, on WTF Wednesday, I’m going to come up with some options and whichever the fans choose, that’s going to resolve all of this. The Lizard Kingdom versus the Wonderland…Got it!”

 

David looks at Ace and then Giovanni and Giovanni just chuckles.

 

Giovanni: “You think it’s that simple…he’s just part of David…PART…of…IT!”|

 

Ace: “Well the Lizard King is right here. You can end it faster-“

 

David: “Okay, get him out!”

 

Ace reaches towards the turtle and stops as Giovanni is pulled out of the room. Ace looks at David as David turns to Ace and then starts to walk off as Cassidy stands over by Ace and we cut to commercial.

COMMERCIALS

We open up with a still of Ravyn Taylor hitting Donovan Kayl with the Evolutionary Synthesis, before showing Christy Matthews covering Donovan.

 

Sharper: “One big contest made for Breakdown in a couple of weeks, Giovanni Aries and Ace Marshall to face for a third time, but that’s just one of the many stories coming out of Unflawed. One involves Ravyn Taylor and Christy Matthews. Ravyn helped Christy Matthews secure the win as the referee was distracted by CHBK. Amy took care of CHBK which distracted her just long enough.”

 

We a still of Amy hitting a superkick on CHBK before showing Amy on the floor and we see Christy and Ravyn holding each other’s arms on the floor.

 

Knots: “Christy got the win, but then, she suddenly turned and attacked Ravyn.”

 

Sharper: “She sent her into the ringpost too. Doing some damage.”

 

Ravyn is shown getting thrown into the ringpost by Christy. We then see a still of Christy heading to the back.

 

Sharper: “And earlier tonight, when Christy Matthews arrived in the arena, Jessica Winters tried to find out why!”

 

We then cut to a shot of Christy Matthews walking into the building with her bag rolling behind her. The crowd in the arena cheers seeing the scene. We see Jessica Winters walking over to her.

 

Jessica: “Christy, could I get a word with you?”

 

Christy turns and walks over to Jessica.

 

Jessica: “I’m sure you already know why I’m coming to speak with you. You turned on Ravyn Taylor at Unflawed when for weeks it seemed like you had an arrangement.”

 

Christy: “The only arrangement was that I was given an opportunity. When that opportunity was off the table, I made the easy decision. Ravyn Taylor is someone who frankly has no limits and refuses to have respect for others. I’m sure you read that tweet from Amy. Regarding her children. Well I saw what Ravyn had sent Amy, trying to get into her head…and as a mother, I was appalled. At that moment, I knew there was never any doubt that I could stand with her and while I appreciate the win, because this is a results-based sport…the aftermath, that was all worth it.”

 

Christy turns and continues into the building as Jessica Winters turns and watches her walk into the building. We then cut to the ring.

Aaron Blackbourne vs. Beard

Television Championship Eliminator

 

The arena lights go completely black. Lightning begins to streak around the entrance way, as "The Terminator" theme blares through the sound system. Smoke rises from the stage as the lightning slowly dies down. As the music continues and the smoke clears, a figure turning slowly rises to its feet in the smoke. The music then transitions into "Who Knew" by Lil' Dicky as Beard reveals himself, stepping out from the smoke, with the crowd erupting in cheers.

 

Phillips: “The opening contest here on Breakdown is scheduled for onefall with a fifteen minute time limit and is your Television Championship Eliminator. First, on his way to the ring, from New York City, New York, he is Beard!”

 

Beard makes his way to the ring, taking some time out to lean into the crowd. He then runs and slides into the ring under the bottom rope. Once inside the ring, Beard climbs to the top rope and strokes his beard before extending his arms out and doing a backflip off of the top rope, landing on his feet, and dropping to one knee as the music dies down.

 

Sharper: “Two former TV Champions about to get a second opportunity. Beard lost the TV Title to Selena Frost. Meanwhile, Aaron Blackbourne was the champion, but lost it to Marie Jones.”

 

Knots: “Yeah and Aaron Blackbourne has a habit of making good on past failures. Beard meanwhile surprisingly is getting better by the night.”

 

All of a sudden, the lights go out, prompting a surprised pop from the fans. The tune of “The Nexus” by Amaranthe begins as a distorted speech that can barely be made out plays amidst the beat, but it’s not long before the song kicks into full gear, and when it does red and white lights begin pulsing on the stage as we see that smoke has begun to engulf it. When the lyrics kick in, the Tron comes to life with clips of Aaron Blackbourne in action, both as himself and as his various demon incarnations. When the song hits the chorus, pyro suddenly goes off on the stage in sync with the creative soul himself suddenly shooting up through the smoke and standing tall on the stage, arms raised and outstretched as the fans erupt into cheers. The lights start to come back on, albeit dimmed, as Blackbourne begins making his way down to the ring, happily accepting high fives from the fans with a smile.

 

Phillips: “And his opponent, from Seattle, Washington, he is Aaron Blackbourne!”

 

As he reaches ringside he suddenly leaps onto the apron and quickly climbs so that he’s got one foot on the top turnbuckle, and in tune with the chorus kicking in a second time he briefly crosses his arms across his chest before throwing them out in the same raised and outstretched pose as before, white spotlights suddenly coming on and converging on him as he closes his eyes and basks in this moment. When the chorus ends, Blackbourne leaps from the top into the ring, removing his black jacket and setting it into his corner before he begins doing some light warm-ups for the match ahead.

 

Sharper: “Aaron Blackbourne ready to go. Both had a good showing, we should add, in the battle royal for the interim US Title opportunity. Ikiro Yoshida winning that and then going on to win the title.”

 

Knots: “Ikiro and Beard had a few moments while Aaron and Owen Cruze kept focusing on each other and even Gothfather a bit.”

 

The bell sounds and Beard and Aaron circle the ring. They watch one another and lunge at each other, locking up with a collar and elbow tie-up and Beard tries to turn, but Aaron blocks it and forces him down to the mat and goes for the pin.

Beard kicks out. Both get up and Aaron grabs his arm and wrenches it. She then nails him with a hard right. He turns and knees him in the ribs. Beard winces and Aaron turns and whips him into the ropes. Beard bounces off and Aaron hits a hip toss. Beard hits the mat. Aaron goes for a knee drop. Beard moves out of the way. Aaron rolls over and gets up and Beard nails him with a left jab and the a right hook before nailing him with a kick to the ribs. He then whips Aaron into the corner and Beard runs after and Aaron hits a back elbow. Beard staggers back. Aaron jumps to the middle turnbuckle and dives back, hitting a back elbow, knocking Beard down.

 

Sharper: “Back elbow. Off the ropes. Aaron is one of the best at that as he has shown in his short time in SCW.”

 

Knots: “Beard didn’t see it coming and just got a small headache.”

 

Beard stirs and Aaron forces him down and goes for the pin.

Beard kicks out. Both start to get up and Aaron hits a kick to the ribs and then a back elbow before running into the ropes. He bounces off and Beard runs at him. Aaron stops and turns and Beard bounces off the ropes and jumps up and hits a flying clothesline. Both get up and Beard kicks him in the ribs. He hooks him up and hits a vertical suplex. He then gets up and flexes as the crowd roars. Aaron starts to get up and Beard grabs him and wrenches his arm and whips him into the corner. He turns and runs after Aaron, but Aaron gets a boot up. He then runs out and nails Beard with a discus elbow smash. Beard hits the mat. Aaron goes for the pin.

Beard kicks out. He turns and Aaron looks up. Beard then gets to his knees and Aaron drills him in the chest with a shoot kick. The crowd ohs. He rears back and shoot kicks him again and then rears back and kicks him a third time and then a fourth time. He looks around and backs up and goes for another kick, but Beard ducks. Aaron steps forward and Beard gets up, grabs him in a half nelson and jumps forward into a bulldog.

 

Sharper: “And Beard ducking and then catching Blackbourne. A bit of creativity of his own. The half nelson into a bulldog.”

 

Knots: “Just dropping him face first into that mat. That stops most offense!”

 

Beard gets back up as Aaron rolls over. He winces a bit and stirs and Beard runs into the ropes, bounces off and drills him with a spear. The crowd ohs. He then rolls over and hooks the leg.

Aaron kicks out. He turns. Beard looks grabs him and pull him up and clubs him in the back and then again and again. He runs into the ropes. He bounces off and Aaron goes for a clothesline. Beard ducks and stops. Aaron turns around and Beard lifts him up onto his shoulders, but Aaron knees him in the side of the head. He then grabs him and hits a German suplex into a bridge.

Beard kicks out. He turns and starts to get up. Beard stirs and Aaron grabs him and pulls his head down. He hoists him up for a powerbomb, but Beard counters with a sunset flip.

Aaron kicks out.

 

Sharper: “Sunset flip. Only two. Good quick counter by Beard who is coming into his own in the last couple of months.”

 

Knots: “I never thought I’d say that. Hell, I never thought I’d say that Beard was a damn TV Champion!”

 

Both get up and Aaron hits an uppercut. Beard falls to a knee. Aaron then grabs him and whips him into the corner. Aaron runs after and nails him with a clothesline. He then watches as Beard hits the mat. Aaron then turns and exits to the apron and climbs up to the top rope. He looks at Beard as he gets up and Aaron dives off and goes for a knee, but Beard jumps up and dropkicks him in it. Aaron turns and rolls over, wincing in pain. He starts to get up and Beard then grabs him and hits the Drop-Top. He turns and hooks the leg.

Aaron Blackbourne gets his shoulder up. Beard rolls off and looks around as the crowd ohs. Aaron turns and slowly stirs as Beard looks around. He then gets up and pulls him up. He then looks around before hooking him up and then lifting him up and bouncing him off the top rope and into a slingshot suplex. Beard turns and crawls to the ropes and onto the apron before climbing up to the top rope. The crowd starts to cheer. He gets to the top and looks at Aaron before diving off for a senton splash, but Aaron rolls out of the way and Beard hits hard and rolls over in pain.

 

Sharper: “No one home!”

 

Knots: “Big miss. Huge miss and Beard’s chances may have just gone like his dating in high school…gone.”

 

Beard slowly stirs and staggers to his feet and turns to Aaron Blackbourne who jumps up and nails him with the Unchained Creativity. The crowd ohs and Aaron drops down for the pin.

The crowd roars.

 

Phillips: “Here is your winner and next challenger for the SCW Television Championship, Aaron Blackbourne!”

 

Sharper: “Blackbourne will get his opportunity to win the title back!”

 

Knots: “Beard nearly had him, but Aaron Blackbourne just holding back enough.”

 

Sharper: “A timely dodge and then that knee. That vicious knee and that’s it.”

 

Blackbourne starts to get up and looks around. He has his arm raised. He then nods and continues to look around as his music plays. The camera focuses on him for a few moments before we cut away.

Backstage we open up to see Jessica Winters standing with Blake Mason backstage. The crowd boos seeing him.

 

Jessica: “I am here with Blake Mason and Blake, a lot of people are wondering about your actions at Unflawed. You managed to have a hard fought contest with Selena Frost. That’s not the surprise. The surprise is that after the match you extended your hand for a handshake.”

 

Blake: “One she did not accept. I don’t get it. I am not looking to forget what I have done and I realize that some people see him as an awful man, but I was merely expressing my appreciation. For the second time in a row, Selena Frost was the better wrestler. As hard as that is for me to accept, I was going to offer my respect. That’s why I extended my hand.”

 

Jessica: “Except you have to realize that given your actions in the last year and a half, it may be difficult for others to see that as genuine.”

 

Blake: “Too many people doubt everything. I was pure in my motives and that is all that should matter. If she’s anxious about what I may do, that is her fault. But I am just trying to move on and well, maybe try and right the ship. Be competitive. Treat others with respect. Just like others should respect people like Bree or Sienna or Regan. That’s the problem is that there isn’t much respect around here and I get it. Selena and I had some significant issues. I took a lock of her hair as a sign of faith for my pending business relationship with Past, Present, Future. I get it. But she needs to move on. Just like others.”

 

Jessica: “Thank you for your time.”

 

Blake: “Thank you.”

 

Jessica: “Breakdown will continue after this.”

 

Blake turns and heads off as Jessica turns to the camera and we cut to commercial.

COMMERCIALS

We open up backstage to see Owen Cruze suddenly getting rammed into a wall. He turns and staggers back before being dropped by a hard right hand by Gothfather. The crowd ohs and boos.

 

Sharper: “Welcome back to Breakdown. Gothfather is assaulting Owen Cruze!”

 

Knots: “Obviously the kid made a bad call. He could’ve had him as a guide!”

 

Gothfather then turns and grabs Owen and drags him up and runs him into the wall. Owen falls over to a knee. Gothfather knees him.

 

Gothfather: “A shame you couldn’t just understand the opportunity I afforded, but not only that to team with an enemy. Just foolish.”

 

Gothfather then turns and runs him over into the wall again and Owen falls over. He slowly turns and Gothfather stomps him in the chest and then again. Owen rolls over before we see Aaron Blackbourne, having come from the ring, running over.

 

Aaron: “Hey!”

 

Aaron grabs him and Gothfather turns and nails him with a hard right and Aaron nails him with one. Officials then finally reach the scene and start to get between the two. Others check on Owen. Gothfather backs up and dusts himself off. He then smirks before backing away some more and we cut to the ring.

Har Megiddo in Action

 

We cut to the ring to see three biker looking fellows in the ring.

 

Phillips: “Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for onefall and is a tornado rules, three on two handicap match with a ten minute time limit. First, already in the ring, all from Detroit, Michigan, they are Harry, Jack and Don, the Motor City Madmen!”

 

Knots: “Oh good, we’re giving some people in Detroit places to stay for the night…the hospital most likely.”

 

Sharper: “This is not going to be pretty.”

 

The opening of “Davidian” by Machine Head begins to play as Behemoth, Malphas, and Kali emerge from the back. They push and shove each other, yelling “encouragement” as they move down the ramp.

 

Phillips: “And their opponents, accompanied by Damian Angel and Kali, they are Behemoth and Malphas, they are Har Megiddo!”

 

Damian Angel follows behind the trio, cane in hand, simply walking as he prepares his own strategy inside his head. Kali remains at ringside, standing to the left of Damian Angel as we then see Malphus and Behemoth pull themselves up onto the apron. They step into the ring. They look at the Motor City Madmen for a moment and smirk. The bell sounds.

 

Sharper: “Here we go. Two on three handicap match.”

 

Harry, Jack and Don all run at Malphus and Behemoth. Don, the biggest, kicks Malphus in the ribs as Harry and Jack hammer away on Behemoth. Behemoth covers up a bit as Don kicks away at Malphus. Harry and Jack get a few more shots in before Behemoth drops to a knee. Jack turns and nails Malphus before Harry and Jack both clothesline him up and over the top rope. Malphus lands on his feet and falls to a knee. Jack then nods and Don turns to Behemoth as Jack exits the ring. He smirks and goes over to Malphus as Behemoth grabs Don by the throat and then shoves him back. He then drills Jack with a clothesline.

 

Sharper: “An early flurry divides the two big men.”

 

Knots: “It just pissed them off though.”

 

Harry kicks at Malphus before kicking him a second time but Malphus just open handed smacks him. Harry falls to a knee and Malphus then pulls him up and hoists him up and drills him with a vicious Lift Up STO on the mats. The crowd ohs as Harry just rolls over. He turns to the ring. Behemoth watches as Don runs at him and Behemoth grabs him in a bearhug, hooking his arms before headbutting him in the face and then again and again. Don falls back. Malphus turns as Jack gets up and Jack nails him with a hard right. He turns and kicks Behemoth before turning to Malphus who blocks a hard right hand and then nails him with a heart punch. The crowd ohs as Jack hits the mat. He then steps forward as Behemoth nods. Behemoth grabs Don as he starts to get up and headbutts him again. He then places his head between his legs. Malphus turns and pulls himself up to the middle turnbuckle. He looks forward.

 

Sharper: “What in the world…”

 

Knots: “Nothing good is going to come from this.”

 

Don is hoisted up and Malphus dives off as they hit the Sacrificial Lamb. The crowd ohs and Behemoth turns and press down on his chest.

The bell sounds.

 

Phillips: “Here are your winners, via pinfall, Behemoth and Malphus, Har Megiddo.”

 

“Davidian” by Machine Head plays as Behemoth slowly gets up. Kali hits a kick to the head of Harry on the floor as Malphus kicks Jack in the chest, causing him to roll over. Damian Angel just steps over Harry, walking over to the steel steps. He steps up them and onto the apron before entering the ring. He then steps over Jack and finally Don. He looks around, admiring the destruction as he turns and extends his hand towards Jason Phillips. Phillips complies, handing him the microphone. Damian then smiles as he looks around.

 

Sharper: “Impressive dominance.”

 

Knots: “Time for the Devil to speak.”

 

Damian: “Did you like this dominance? Just a small taste of what we, and I, am capable of. Even Konrad Raab learned that lesson at Unflawed. Black Ice, his alter ego, was not vicious enough to handle me. And slowly SCW is getting to relearn why several years ago, just the mere mention of my name caused everyone to shudder in fear.”

 

Damian pauses as the crowd boos.

 

Damian: “But alas the challenge I was awaiting, it seems like it may have been premature. Yes, Nietzsche was right….God is dead. At least he is dead around SCW. And upon his throne, I stake my claim. A shame as I was looking forward to open the eyes of his delusional follower, and perhaps God himself. But there is no reason to waste my time or any of yours. I have been called the Devil Himself for good reason…and now there is no God to stop me. Not like he ever had a chance.”

 

Damian Angel looks at the camera as he slowly brings the microphone down. The crowd boos as “Lucifer’s Angel” by The Rasmus starts to play. Damian Angel turns and politely hands the microphone back to Jason Phillips before backing up and motioning to Har Megiddo. They then as a group exit the ring. Damian Angel calmly follows and drops down to the floor.

 

Sharper: “Damian Angel placing everyone on notice. He had been keeping his eye on Chad Evans and Lexi von Aaron.”

 

Knots: “Lexi is gone. Chad seemingly is too and Damian Angel, staking his claim…”

 

Sharper: “Not someone you take lightly and as we saw against Konrad…Damian Angel is as good as ever.”

 

Knots: “Former World Champion and with his own destruction squad…I don’t like it. I don’t like him.”

 

Damian Angel walks to the back, following his three members of Har Megiddo before we then cut away.

A chorus sings along with a harmonious melody

The lights in the arena dim down darkening the area and “Mercy on Me (Instrumental)” starts to play. A spotlight shines down onto the stage for Katie Steward to step out from behind the curtain and stands in the light. She wears her white ring robe with a pink outline around the white cloth and gold sequences sparkled over it. She grabs the sides of her robe holding it out and spins around slowly showing off to the fans who snap photos and videos of her.

After a few seconds on the posing on the stage she turns back around and continues her walk down the ramp and the spotlight follows. Inside the ring, TJ Johnson is already there and has helped himself to the ring announcer’s microphone.

TJ Johnson: Ladies and Gentleman, I’m proud and honor to introduce to you tonight, your Goddess of Desire, nay your Goddess of Supreme, Katie Steward.

Katie makes it to ringside and walking over to the ring steps. She stops as TJ finishes her introduction and a mixed reaction from the fans. The arena lights return to normal. She carefully climbs up and grabs the ring post so she doesn’t fall. She walks along the apron and waits for TJ to walk over and holds the ropes open for her. Katie enters the ring and walks to the middle and stands there taking off her ring robe revealing her amazing and beautiful ring wrestling attire and TJ is right there to take her robe from her. Katie and TJ walk over to her corner and TJ exits the ring with Katie’s robe in hand and Katie gets warmed up for her match. TJ walks over to the announce team and joins them on commentary.

Sharper: “This next contest pits two SCW veterans, both making comebacks recently. Katie Steward, former SCW Champion stands in the ring now, awaiting her opponent, who just came back . You know who I’m talking about…Justin Davis.”

Knots: “Yeah Justin Davis came back, and he has made it clear this is his final run. He wants to go after some of the biggest names this company has ever seen and he wants to top it all off by ending Josh Hudson.”

The arena goes dark and a mist of smoke begins to gather at the top of the ramp as the opening rift of “Sail" by Devildriver begins to play throughout the arena. The lights start to flickers as a spotlight shines on top of the ramp. Justin Davis stands at the top of the ramp with his head lowered and a hood covering his head. Davis lifts his head as he takes his hood off and the words "JUSTIN DAVIS" shows on the titantron. The crowd begins to fill the arena with roaring cheers. You can see a smile on Davis' face while nodding his head as he begins to make his way down the ramp.

Phillips: Making his way to the ring from Boston, Massachusetts, and weighing in at two hundred and thirty five pounds, JUSTIN DAAAVVVIIIISSSS!"

Davis lifts his arms up in the air as he makes his way up the steel steps and into the ring. Once in the ring Davis circles the ring and then chooses a random turnbuckle to climb and pose for the fans by lifting his right arm and pointing up to the ceiling then to the crowd. He then drops down and sits in the corner awaiting the match to begin.

Sharper: “This is Davis’ first match back. Time to see if he has any ring rust. He made a list with Katie being the first name on it. People are probably wondering if Davis still has it, and if he can compete at a high level.”

Knots: “And not only that, let’s not forget the impact Katie made when she returned. She attacked the Wonderland, going after Beard. But that has since died down. Makes me wonder if she was out for revenge, or if she just did it for the hell of it. I am sure someone like Beard is clamoring for information, wanting to know if she is coming after him again or if the Goddess moved on.”

Davis and Katie step out of their corners as the ref calls for the bell. Davis and Katie lock up, with Davis backing Katie into the ropes.

Sharper: “Going for a tie up in the early goings of this match. You have to wonder if Davis is going to be able to adapt or if it will take him some time to get his legs about him.”

Katie pushes her right leg back before driving a knee into Davis’ ribs. She follows up with another knee to the ribs then another, causing Davis to break the tie up. Davis steps back holding his ribs. Katie gets behind Davis and takes him down with a Russian leg sweep. Katie then puts her foot on Davis’ chest for a pin attempt.

Davis shoves Katie’s foot away, as the crowd boos the Goddess’ actions.

Sharper: “Katie Steward mocking Davis, trying to pin him with a foot on his chest. Blatant shot of disrespect.”

Knots: “I don’t know if it is disrespect. If anything, she is letting Davis know that he is going to have to step it up.”

Davis gets to one knee, only for Katie to extend her leg, connecting with the Most Beautiful Superkick Ever. The crowd “ooohhhsss” as she connects. Davis then falls to the mat and Katie hooks the leg.

Davis shoots the shoulder up!

Davis rolls over onto his hands and knees, but Katie charges over and lands a front kick into Davis’ ribs. Davis rolls over onto his back, holding his ribs.

Sharper: “You may be right, partner. This match has been all Katie. If Davis wants to make it to the end and pick up a win in his return match, he is going to have to step it up.”

Knots: “It could be this side of Katie that has scared Beard and the Wonderland off. Maybe they know they shouldn’t test a Goddess.”

Davis gets to his feet, holding his ribs. Katie walks over and delivers an elbow to jaw, staggering Davis. Katie grabs Davis and goes to whip him into the corner, but Davis reverses. Davis maintains control over Katie’s wrist, pulling her back into a high knee. Davis lets go of Katie’s wrist as she falls to the mat and Davis grabs the ropes, holding his ribs.

Katie begins to climb to her feet as Davis rushes to the other side, bouncing off of the ropes and leveling Katie with a running high knee.

Sharper: “Davis, despite grabbing at his ribs, seems to be kicking things into high gear.”

Davis grabs Katie before taking her down with an Evenflow DDT. Davis hooks the leg.

Katie kicks out. Davis lifts Katie up off of the mat and whips her into the ropes, following her and taking her down with another running high knee. Katie slowly starts to stir, but Davis grabs her then drives her down into the mat with a Samoan drop. Davis then reaches over and hooks the leg.

Sharper: “Katie Steward taking a ton of punishment but still managing to kick out.”

Knots: “She’s a legend for a reason, Adam. She knows she has to take a lot, but she knows how to use that and still pull off a win.”

Davis goes to lift Katie, but Katie lands an European uppercut. Davis staggers into the ropes. Davis steps off of the ropes, shaking his head only for Katie to connect with the Botox Injection. Davis hits the mat and Katie goes for the cover.

3…NO! Davis kicks out!

Sharper: “Katie landed the Botox Injection, stunning Davis, but he’s still showing signs of life, kicking out just before the three.”

Katie gets to her feet, standing behind Davis as he gets to his feet. Once Davis is standing, Katie clubs him in the back a few times, before hooking his arms.

Knots: “Katie going for the Platinum Blonde…NO!!!”

Davis shoves Katie forward into the ropes. Katie bounces back and Davis grabs her before dropping her with an atomic drop. Davis then runs into the ropes and connects with You’re Dead! The crowd explodes upon impact. Davis is shown waiting for Katie to get to her feet. Katie is shown using the ropes to do so. Katie then turns around as Davis grabs her, lifts her up, before planting her with the Lip Sealer. The crowd begins to cheer as Davis hooks the leg.

The ref calls for the bell as Davis rolls over onto his back. He throws his fist into the air.

Sharper: “This match could have gone either way. Both fought a strong match. Katie taking a ton of punishment as we mentioned earlier and nearly managed to put Davis away.”

Knots: “Katie almost had Davis with the Platinum Blonde but he managed to turn things around before putting her away with the Lip Sealer. Davis showed that he can still go.”

 

Davis celebrates as the crowd cheers. Katie stirs as TJ goes over to check on her.

We open up backstage to see James Evans and Katelyn Buehler talking backstage in a hallway. Katelyn is standing across from him as both lean on the wall.

 

James: “Good win at Unflawed.”

 

Katelyn: “Thank you. You enjoying your time on security?”

 

James: “Just happy I have a chance. I get it. I screwed up bad before. I wasn’t in a good place. And put here because at least I’m supposed to be with people who can stop me if I can’t be trusted. Just hate I can’t be…”

 

Katelyn: “Just earn it back. You did with me. You’re doing this for your daughter.”

 

James nods.

 

James: “I know.”

 

Katelyn: “And hopefully will give you a chance. I got a second chance. People deserve them. But James…seriously…don’t screw it up.”

 

James: “I won’t. I can’t.”

 

Dean Black then heads over to James.

 

Dean: “James! Gotta come with us.”

 

James nods.

 

James: “Good luck in Match Three.”

 

Katelyn: “Thanks. Got a bit of time though. Not until that WTF Wednesday deal. We’ll see.”

 

James nods and walks off as Dean Black waits a moment longer. James then walks off with Dean as Katelyn watches them leave.

COMMERCIALS

Breakdown returns as we open up backstage to see Hana Ito standing backstage with Josh Hudson.

 

Hana: “Welcome back to Breakdown. I’m Hana Ito here with Josh Hudson and Josh, we just saw Justin Davis return to the ring and he’s already made it clear he’s got his eyes on you.”

 

Hudson: “And I saw someone that can have all the motivation in the world, but it’s going to fall short. He wants to take me on…he’s going to have to do better. And I look forward to ending his career when I get the chance. He can have his little list and he can run through it…I’m going to enjoy this too and we don’t need to worry about idiot chefs or security getting in our way.”

 

Hudson smiles as we then cut away.

The opening riffs to "A New Level" by Pantera hit the PA system. The lights flash for a few seconds. Without warning, Max Kane steps out from the back and looks around for a few moments, wearing both SCW Tag Team Championships around his neck. Max yells at the camera and crawls towards it. He bobs his head multiple times to the song before standing up. Shortly after, Dante McCaffery, Ms. Budde and Dawn Lohan push through the curtain. Max looks around and takes off one of his Tag Team title belts and hands it to Dawn, who smirks. Max turns back around and starts heading down to the ring as the rest follow.Max throws his arms up as he polishes his Tag Team title belt. He looks towards the camera and smirks.

Max: Look at that huh? New theme for the whole gang. I picked it out. And bout look at these titles! These titles haven't been this clean in a while. We had to drip it in bleach to get the Lexi taint off of it. Took a while but we got it off.

Max laughs as Dante simply looks around.

 

Sharper: “You see the new Tag Team Champions. Max Kane and the surprise, his tag partner, Dawn Lohan.”

 

Knots: “No one saw that coming. Third tag title for her and we have a second tag belt!”

 

Sharper: “We do. New tag belts being made. Finally we can move forward from that chapter where Chad Evans and Lexi von Aaron had no respect for anyone and clearly not the Tag Team Championship outside of the attention it gave Lexi!”

 

Budde also looks at the crowd while Dawn shows the other end of the Tag Team Championship to the camera. Max soon slides in, before sliding back his end of the Tag Team titles to Ms. Budde on the outside. Dante sneers at the crowd before he walks up the steel steps along with Dawn and Ms. Budde. They all enter the ring and Dawn then passes the Tag Team titles to Dante, who then holds it up high to boos in pure contempt. He sneers just as Ms. Budde also holds up her end of the Tag Team titles in the middle of the ring. Satisfied, they both hang the titles back to Max, who connects them together by the belt loops and drapes them around his neck; to which he then points to every section of the crowd before extending his arms; to a mixed reaction. Kane then turns and asks for a microphone and is handed one. He looks around as Dawn walks around the ring. Dante leans in the corner and Budde continues to scan the crowd.

 

Sharper: “And look at this, the entire Network holding those championships at some point as they’ve come to the ring.”

 

Knots: “I just want to know. Has Dawn Lohan joined this Network?!”

 

Kane walks back to the middle of the ring and looks around. Promptly, we start hearing a “Sophie!” chant begin as Kane smirks.

 

Kane: “I don’t think you’ve got the right name, yo. This is Dawn. I know, she’s Wonderful and you may think your hometown girl is too, but at Unflawed, Dawn was just a step ahead.”

 

The crowd boos a bit. Dawn shakes her head.

 

Kane: “But before we get to her, don’t these look nice? Finally, titles we can be proud of. No more destruction. No more carved out names. No more well…whatever Lexi was. That’s because Lexi’s gone. She’s gone. Her loudmouth finally couldn’t cash the cheque she tried to cash and she is gone and who cares about God!”

 

The crowd roars a bit. Kane looks around.

 

Kane: “And it just so happened that we just needed to play a few games and well, with an offer she couldn’t refuse, and opportunity to be the THREE TIME, THREE TIME, THREE TIME World Tag Team Champion and bring some gold to the Network.”

 

Kane looks around. The crowd gives a bit of a mixed reaction.

 

Kane: “Always great when a plan comes together and this hasn’t looked this good in a long time…and SCW hasn’t been this wonderful is a long time too, isn’t that right.”

 

Kane then turns and looks over at Dawn. He hands the microphone to her and Dawn smiles as the crowd cheers a bit. Dawn Lohan looks around.

 

Dawn: “Definitely a bit more wonderful.”

 

Dawn looks around.

 

Dawn: “And a lot of people are going to be wondering why I am standing here with Max, with Budde and with Dante. And it’s a unique little deal. Because I’ll flat out admit it, I’m not sure what to make of this group and that’s not an insult. Because whereas they may use tactics I don’t agree with, I don’t have to go along. Because in return for my services, for skill in this ring, I was able to end a dark period in the SCW’s history and at least take these World Tag Team Championship belts from two people who I am glad may be gone. Two people who aren’t just looking to humiliate or to pump their ego. We’ve got our own motivations and trust me, they are much more wonderful!”

 

The crowd gives a mixed reaction. A faint “Sophie” chant begins again. Dawn hears it and looks around.

 

Dawn: “Sounds like-“

 

“Just a Dream” by Nelly starts to play and the crowd starts to boo. A few moments pass before we see Laura Steinbeck walk out with them. London and Paris smile as they look down at the ring. Laura has a microphone in her hand. They start to walk down to the ring as the music fades out.

 

Laura: “Sorry for interrupting, but I was about to hear something that most assuredly wouldn’t have been wonderful, when let’s face it, it’s just not what should be done. Because while you may be the World Tag Team Champions, I want to give you some free advice, Dawn and to you all, Dante, Ms. Budde and Max…don’t make agreements you do not need to. Because they may put you in situations that just aren’t that wise. And while this crowd may have some care for their hometown hero in Sophie James…”

 

The crowd cheers. Laura waves them down.

 

Laura: “Let’s instead focus on who you did not have to beat to win those titles and that immediately leads us to London and Paris, the Tag Team of SCW’s future, just as Sienna Swann will be the light in the darkness of the World Championship! So why don’t we just save some time and London and Paris step up now.”

 

Dawn chuckles a bit. Laura then smiles.

 

Laura: “Oh yes… I forgot Kennedy is smitten with Max here and Dawn, you and Kennedy are still good friends, even with your colourful. Well, at least you could say you two both held two different titles at the same time for a brief period…”

 

Dawn nods and goes to respond before “Scarlet” by In This Moment plays and the crowd gives a bit of a roar. We then see Ruby Amarant and Scarlet Grey walk out from the back. Ruby has a microphone in her hand.

 

Ruby: “How nice of SCW’s modelling department to field more wrestlers and while you two were quite impressive in your single appearance, London, Paris….and Laura…if you’re going to claim that first and foremost, since they did not beat you, they should get an opportunity, well, the same can be said about Scarlet and myself.”

 

The crowd cheers a bit. Ruby and Scarlet take a few more steps down towards the ring before stopping. Laura goes to speak, but Ruby cuts her off.

 

Ruby: “And before you respond with more condescension, I ask you to give any rationale that we cannot comeback with. You’re undefeated…you’ve had one match. That’s wonderful. We’ve beaten former World Tag Team Champions.”

 

Laura: “Yet you had your opportunity at Unflawed. London and Paris were forced to wait-“

 

“Lucifer’s Angel” then starts to play. The crowd erupts as we then see Ruby turn as Scarlet does too. London and Paris’ confidence disappears as Laura turns too. We then see Damian Angel walk out from the back with Har Megiddo right behind him.

 

Sharper: “Oh no…”

 

Knots: “Red Empire is trapped too. Truelove Twins aren’t going to let them pass.”

 

Sharper: “Damian Angel back out of here.”

 

Damian Angel smiles as he looks down, microphone in his hand. Damian Angel holds his hand up.

 

Damian: “Do not fear. We have no intention of assaulting anyone…at least anymore tonight. Instead, we will no longer be waiting for other opportunities. Because we have been patient, in hopes that we could take those titles ourselves from the previous champions, but alas, we no longer need to concern ourselves with that strategy. Instead, we just will take. And the rationales being used…they can just as easily apply to us. So unless you do want us to alter our plans for destruction for the remainder of the evening, you may be better served to stand aside.”

 

Damian brings the microphone down.

 

"BANG!"

As the crowd react, the entire stage lights up with a brilliant white light and the opening riff of an SCW remixed version of "All I Want" by A Day To Remember hits the pa system. We then see David Helms walk out from the back, with a microphone in his hnad.

 

Knots: “How many microphones does this company have?!”

 

Sharper: “Maybe too many, but our commissioner has heard enough.”

 

Damian Angel turns as David Helms walks forward and over to him, standing in the midst of Har Megiddo. He looks around before turning to each team.

 

Helms: “Enough of this posturing. It’s clear that there are a number of teams who feel they deserve an opportunity, but we should note one team that doesn’t seem to feel the need to come out here and posture and that’s the team Max Kane and Dawn Lohan defeated…David Callahan and the Motor City Bitch Sophie James!”

 

The crowd roars as Helms looks around.

 

Helms: “And we’ll see Sophie in action later tonight. Don’t you worry, but I think we need to make a few announcements. The first is that I think we want to see a rematch between Sophie and David and Max and Dawn.”

 

The crowd roars.

 

Helms: “And so they’re going to get their shot at Taking Hold of the Flame. They’ve got a World Tag Team Championship shot…..but, who will they face…Well, you, the fans can play a role in that.”

 

Helms looks around.

 

Helms: “At WTF Wednesday, these three teams…the Truelove Twins, the Red Empire and Har Megiddo….we’ll put up a poll. Whoever the fans vote for will face the Network in their first World Tag Team Championship defense and the winner will defend the titles at Taking Hold of the Flame!”

 

The crowd roars. Helms backs up as Max Kane just climbs to the middle turnbuckle and nods. Dawn Lohan shrugs and smiles. David turns to Damian as Laura looks around and the Truelove Twins look in disbelief. Red Empire just smirk as Damian Angel and David share a few words.

 

Sharper: “Another big match set for WTF Wednesday in two weeks. Who will challenge for the SCW World Tag Team Champions!”

 

Knots: “What about Taking Hold of the Flame. Sophie and David getting a huge rematch. But they won’t know against who for a bit.”

 

Sharper: “David Helms making his mark here very quickly upon becoming Commissioner.”

 

David turns and heads to the back and we cut away.

“Immortals” starts to play as we see the Breakdown logo comes across the screen and we see a shot of Ikiro Yoshida vs. Selena Frost.

 

Sharper: “TV Title will be on the line. Two champions going at it. The Interim US Champion will challenge the TV Champion. Ikiro Yoshida will face Selena Frost, next, here on Breakdown!”

 

The scene fades to black.

SCW’s Cameras ring turn to ringside where Jonathan Knots and Adam Sharper both sit. The fans in attendance are growing excited as the first half of the show looks to end, however inside the ring is Jason Phillips.

Sharper: “Welcome back ladies and gentlemen, we’re about to wrap up our first half of Breakdown in just a few moments and what a match we have for you to see.”

Knots: “The Television Championship will be on the line against the man who not only bested nine other people at Unflawed in the battle royal. But also took on AJ Helms and become our Interim United States Champion...”

Sharper: “Of course my colleague here is speaking about the King of Karaoke, Ikiro Yoshida who the last week and change has been on a tear lately adding a victory over Autumn Valentine prior to that and tonight he will be finishing these two weeks with his opponent being Selena Frost, the SCW TV Champion.”

Knots: “And with Regan Helms suspension ending soon, you have to wonder what is on her mind although her brother in law, Jason Helms is in the winds next in line as well also....”

Sharper: “And you have AJ Helms as well, a lot to think about without question but right now we’re about ready for one hell of a Champion vs Champion match up.”

"BELIEVE IT!"

At the sound of the familiar call, the true-believers are immediately on their feet in cheers as "What I Believe" by Skillet brings forth a barrage purple-blue lights in the design of snowflakes across the arena. From the back, out walks The Snow Queen, herself, Selena Frost with the Television Championship over her shoulder. With a twirl amongst the lights and snowflakes, Frost slowly strolls down the ramp, her platinum-white hair in a long-braid swishing this way and that as the lights bounce off the ice-shard cape she wears.

Fans: WE BELIEVE! WE BELIEVE!

Looking around the arena, Selena smiles at the voice of her true-believers before sliding into the ring. Inside, the Winter Diamond is quickly on her feet, stepping into the center of the ring as all the snowflake-lights rush to form a large blue-white snowflake-shaped light over Selena. Raising her arms with the TV Championship, the Defier of Worlds looks up at the lights before they return to normal. With a smile, Selena removes her ice-shard cape, folding it and placing it aside before returning her attention to the ring.

Sharper: “Selena looking game as ever.”

Knots: “She does, notice how she’s out here first? Always stealing the spotlight, glory hog.”

Sharper: “I doubt that is the reason why she’s out here first.”

Red and White lights begin to flash wildly when the opening to Smooth Criminal (Violin Instrumental) by David Garrett begins to play over the P.A System. The SCW fans rise to their feet casting their eyes to the stage where the curtains part. A sudden pause befalls the arena until a man walks out with a confident swagger in his step, Ikiro Yoshida… He wears his trademark red eye patch with a gold dragon emblazoned onto it along with his long-sleeved jacket. A smirk appears on the Japanese superstar’s lips before he spins around once and drops down to one knee, both his arms outstretched while he looks down at the ground, the Interim United States Championship around his waist…

The fans pop for the Japanese superstar, he leaps back up onto his feet and looks down at the Championship which he gently pats. Ikiro looks inside his jacket and seems to realize something and shakes his head before removing the championship from his waist instead… He raises it up above his head with a grin before lowering his arm and walking down towards the ring with that same confident swagger from before.

Sharper: “Interesting to note that there is no Plush doll with him tonight, I heard there was an incident backstage at Unflawed where it was apparently stolen.”

Knots: “Stolen?! Who in the right mind would steal that thing?!”

Sharper: “I don’t know, I am just going off what I heard from one of the crew.”

Ikiro quickly runs to the ring and slides in, following that up with a quicker roll to a knee. Ikiro lays the US title at his feet while Selena watches… After kissing the tip of his index and forefinger, he places them on the forehead of the doll before picking it up and taking it to the corner and looks at it one more. He hands it to a member of the ring crew along with his jacket and eyepatch.

Knots: “You just know Selena wishes that US title was on the line.”

Sharper: “It would definitely make this match all the more interesting. Currently still Champion vs Champion which you can use the hashtag #SCWTVChampionship to have your say on social media.”

All eyes focus on the ring once more now with Ikiro and Selena in their respective corners. Jason Phillips once again stands dead center in the ring with the official behind him and TV title in hand.

Phillips: “The following match has a 20-minute time limit and is for the SCW Television Championship!!”

The fans roar, the SCW Cameras cut to the crowd who are all waving signs for both Selena Frost and Ikiro Yoshida before returning to the ring.

Phillips: Standing to my left, he hails from Fukushima, Prefecture… He is the Current Reigning Interim United States Champion, he is the King of KARAOKE… IKIRO YOSHIDA!!!”

A massive cheer for the Japanese star erupts from the fans in attendance tonight, this puts a smile on the face of Ikiro who turns towards them and bows respectfully.

Phillips: “And to my right, she hails from Nome, Alaska… She is the current reigning and defending SCW TV Champion, she is the SNOW QUEEN, SELENA FROST!!”

An equal roar from the crowd erupt upon the mention of the Television champion, both stars extremely popular with the SCW fan base. The official walks over to Ikiro and shows him the TV Championship. He then repeats that by showing it once again to Selena Frost before stepping to the center and raising it for the crowd to see. The TV Championship logo appears on the SCW TV Screens before disappearing as does Jason Phillips with the TV Championship.

Sharper: “Wow, these fans supporting both superstars tonight, a rarity if you ask me given the current climate of SCW.”

Knots: “Can’t say we did. But we should all talk about Kennedy Street as our NEW World Champion if anything!!”

The bell sounds and the SCW fans erupt with cheers while both Selena Frost and Ikiro Yoshida stand in their respective corners. The two are eyeing the other up, Ikiro is the first to step out with his one arm behind his back. He approaches the middle of the ring and bows towards the Television Champion, a huge sign of respect from the challenger. Selena smiles and curtseys back towards Ikiro, the SCW fans clapping for both signs of respect. Ikiro backs up a little allowing Selena to come out which she does the two going for a grapple right out of the gate, but Selena ducks under the challenger and spanks him on the behind. She then smiles as does Ikiro.

Sharper: “Selena having a little fun of her own at the beginning here.”

Knots: “This isn’t a game Adam, Brittany Lohan would disapprove of this.”

Ikiro chuckles and nods towards the Champion, the two beginning to circle each other before properly locking up this time. Ikiro is the stronger of the two and leads Selena to the ropes where he swings an elbow to the face but Selena again ducks under but this time counters with a chop to the chest of the challenger. Ikiro winces against the ropes when she hits another and another, each time the SCW fans “Wooo” in unison to the chop. Selena goes for a forth, Ikiro blocks with his arms and spins her around into the ropes instead where he drives a knee into the gut of the TV Champion. He hits another against the ropes before sending her across the ring with an Irish whip and quickly following her. She runs the ropes and bounces past Ikiro who hits the ropes after her, she stops and turns only to be taken down with a clothesline, Ikiro stands over her and once again bows to the champion before offering a hand for her to get up...

Sharper: “Ikiro hitting that clothesline and now offering a hand up, Yoshida is a hard act to figure out.”

Knots: “What is there to figure out, he’s playing games with her, it’s that simple.”

Sharper: “Or just being a good sport.”

Whatever it is going through the mind of him, Selena takes the hand of Ikiro and he pulls her to her feet, she quickly backs up and hesitantly bows to Ikiro knowing all too well he could do anything now. Yoshida loosens his shoulders and the he lunges for a grapple but Frost ducks under again this time wrapping her arms around his waist and attempts to lift him up, but Yoshida plants his feet and blocks the attempted move. Selena tries again but another Elbow shot form Ikiro catches Selena, he hits another forcing the break of the hold, Yoshida next grabs her head with both hands and throws her to the canvas hard only to follow up with a huge stamp to the back of her head which she rolls out of the way from just in time. Selena on her knees is quick minded when Ikiro spins around to kick her in the face where she throws herself backwards to avoid it.

Sharper: “Oh wow, if he hit that stamp or kick it could have been over.”

Knots: “If he hit that, we’d have Selena’s brains over that canvas or in the crowd!”

The crowd roars as she gets to her feet quickly now and realizes now that things aren’t all fun and games after all. Ikiro bows once again but Frost quickly charges across with a knee to the face taking him by surprise this time, she hits another knee only to Irish whip Ikiro across the ring. The Japanese star however once again spins through and sends her, he doubles over looking for a back body drop, but Selena leaps over him and continues running the ropes. Yoshida spins around and a basement drop kick to the knee of Ikiro catches him and sends him smashing into the canvas. Frost rolls away and runs the ropes again as Ikiro gets to his knees were another drop kick sends him flying back to the canvas. Frost quickly covers.


1…. KICK OUT BY YOSHIDA!

The fans roar and a “We Believe” Chant starts up with some of the fans in attendance. Ikiro rolls away holding his face while Frost is on her feet smiling now. Ikiro quickly gets back to his shortly after and adjusts his jaw a little making sure it is okay. Ikiro runs towards Frost and manages to kick her in the gut, a clubbing blow follows afterwards doubling her over before he sends her into the corner with an Irish whip. Selena winces where Ikiro runs across and leaps up for a splash but Frost dives out of the way at the last moment, she quickly rolls Ikiro back up with another pin attempt.

1… NO! KICK OUT BY YOSHIDA!!

Frost is first to her feet, Yoshida second only to his knees where Selena connects with a stiff kick to the chest of the challenger. She hits another and another with each time the fans chanting “We” “Believe!” each time. Selena backs up a little and swings for one more kick, this time to the face of Ikiro but Yoshida blocks the kick and grabs Selenas leg while standing and quickly backs up near a corner and throws her back into it with an exploder suplex! The fans roar and it’s Ikiros turn to pull the champion out and cover her away from the ropes.

1… NO! KICK OUT BY FROST!

The fans cheer again, Ikiro quickly mounts Selena and throws down an elbow and another elbow before getting to his feet and pulling Frost with him. He locks in a front face lock and drives knees into her chest, he hits another and releases the hold where he himself goes for a savate kick this time, but Selena sidesteps and leaps up to hit a Pele kick on the challenger. Ikiro staggers back towards the ropes. Selena runs the ropes and charges at Ikiro and clothesline him up and over, but the Japanese star lands on the apron. He immediately tries to climb back in but Selena Catches him with a kick to the chest. She hits another before dragging him into the ring and hitting a DDT before covering.

Sharper: “Stiff kicks from Frost, this is a see who can kick the other harder match. They’re going to leave a mark no matter who you are.”

Knots: “Yoshida is out it looks like.”

2… NO! KICK OUT BY YOSHIDA!!

The fans roar while some boo a little, Selena holds her head after those thunderous elbow shots to the face moments earlier. She gets to her feet though and quickly exits to the apron herself and scales the ropes keeping a watchful eye on Yoshida. He begins to stir a little in the ring once she reaches the top turnbuckle, the SCW fans beginning to buzz a little as she waits for Yoshida to get to his feet which he begins to do. He begins to shake the cobwebs out but has little time to react when Selena runs the ropes and leaps off while he turns and hits a Dragonrana on the challenger! The Fans roar as Ikiro rolls through from the impact into the ropes. He staggers out towards Selena now who sneaks up behind and hits a spinning inverted headlock lariat before covering again.

1…

2… NO! IKIRO KICKS OUT!!

The crowd erupts another mixture of cheers and boos between them, the Selena Frost fans disappointed that he kicked out, the Yoshida fans obviously not! “Let’s Go Yoshi” and “We Believe” chants begin directly. Selena holds her head now realizing she is gonna need to go big to put this match away. Yoshida rolls away to the side unsure where he is, the Interim United States Champion certainly having seen better days.

Sharper: “Ikiro Yoshida not in a great position right now, Selena Frost in control.”

Knots: “The wear and tear of the high profile matches finally biting Ikiro in the ass.”

Selena approaches and connects with a standard punch to Ikiro, she hits another and another before Ikiro blocks and connects with a strike of his own, he hits another and that turns into a flurry before spinning around and delivering a decapitating Discus clothesline that turns Selena inside out. The Yoshida contingent of fans roar when he pulls her toward the corner and sits her down before backing away and reaching into his pants and begins to shake his hands, he rolls two dice to the canvas and quickly slaps his hands together before running at Selena Frost and driving both his knees into her face!

Sharper: “The roll of the dice, double knees on the board and Selena Frost looks out of it.”

Knots: “Wouldn’t you be?! That looked stiff as hell!”

The fans roar once again as Ikiro rolls back before rolling outside of the ring and makes his way towards Jonathan Knots….

Knots: “What the… go away, shoo! I don’t want to do that.”

Sharper: “He wants to play Rock, Paper, Scissors…”

Selena meanwhile continues to stay in the corner while Ikiro holds out his hand to Knots. Knots reaches out but Ikiro quickly removes it and slides it over his hand and walks around to Sharper instead who immediately laughs and starts to play it with Yoshida. Sharper pulls out Scissors and Ikiro throws out a rock. Yoshida bows to Sharper and quickly rolls back into the ring. He stands in the corner and waits for Selena to get up which she begins to do, he runs across looking for the Yakuza Kick but Selena spins through it and grabs Yoshida’s Arm and hits the Pay dirt out of nowhere!

Sharper: “PAY DIRT!”

Knots: “SEE! That’s what happens when you don’t play with Jonny Knots, besides I would have gone paper and beat his rock!”

The fans explode with Ikiro falling to the canvas, Selena falls back for a moment and has to gather herself before diving onto Ikiro with a cover.

1…

2… NO! IKIRO KICKS OUT!!

The fans explode as now neither set of fans care about who’s better than who, because a “THIS IS AWESOME” chants kicks off now. Yoshida rolls away holding his face, Selena continues to wince in pain. The two begin to get to their feet though showing the wear n tear of this match on each other. Ikiro grabs Selena and throws a forearm shot though, Selena throws a shot of her own. She then drives a knee into the gut of Ikiro before sending him into the corner with an Irish whip. Ikiro hits the corner hard and staggers out where she hits the claim-stake and drives Yoshida’s face into her knee!!

Sharper: “Yoshida looks rocked, that claim strike was on the money and Selena can sense it!”

Knots: “He’s gonna have to snap out of it”

Selena backs up and stomps her foot once signalling for the glass shard, the TV Champion lunges forward with the Glass Shard, but Yoshida spins around and avoids it completely. Selena stumbles before turning around and from out of nowhere Ikiro hits a vicious leaping knee to the temple of Selena where she looks like she is out on her knees. The Fans roar when Ikiro runs to the corner and begins to stomp his won feet spelling out K-A—R-A-O-K-E with the fans, his paced quicker than usual much like against AJ Helms. Ikiro runs across the ring and connects with the Karaoke Kick perfectly.

Sharper: “KARAOKE KICK! Yoshida playing possum it looks like, the fans do not believe it.”

Knots: “I DON’T BELIEVE IT!”

Ikiro drops to his knees and covers Selena Frost, hooking both legs in the process with the fans counting along with the official as he covers.

3!!!

Knots: “NO FREAKING WAY, HE DID IT?!”

The fans erupt in to cheers while some boo but that doesn’t stop the celebrations from beginning as Smooth Criminal by David Garret hits over the P.A System. Yoshida rolls off Selena to his knees and leans into the canvas while holding his face. The SCW official exiting the ring and taking both belts off Phillips and handing them to Ikiro Yoshida who looks at them both with emotion on his face. Ikiro gets up to his feet and has his arm raised by the referee…

Phillips: “LADIES AND GENTLEMEN THE WINNER OF THIS MATCH AS A RESULT OF A PINFALL AND IS YOUR NEEEEEW SCW TELEVISION CHAMPION… IKIRO YOSHIDA!!!


Sharper: “Wow… Ikiro Yoshida is now holds TWO SCW Championships! A hell of a battle to earn them though, Selena Frost gave it her all and it could have gone either way… Just wow….”

Knots: “I can’t believe this, this is madness! Someone gets me a lottery ticket!”

Sharper: “Congratulations to Ikiro Yoshida, his hard work paying off and we still have the second half of Breakdown to bring you… Wow…”

Selena is being looked at by the referee as Ikiro now climbs a turnbuckle and raises the TV Championship high above his head and poses to the crowd for one last shot of the SCW Hard camera before we cut to Toronto.

 

We fade out from the shot of Ikiro celebrating as Spirit and Shawn look a bit surprised.

 

Spirit: “Talk about an amazing two weeks for Ikiro Yoshida. He defeated Autumn Valentine to earn the shot. He wins the battle royal at Unflawed and then defeats AJ Helms to win the interim US Title and now tonight, defeats Selena Frost for the Television Championship.”

 

Winters: “Don’t know what he did. Did he change his diet? Did he just focus? Regardless, this s what we figured we could see from Ikiro months ago and he’s showing what he’s capable of. A win over AJ Helms and now one over Selena Frost is nothing to scoff at.”

 

Spirit: “Beat a lot of great competition. He’ll face Aaron Blackbourne next week, defending the TV title. Jason Helms awaits him too. Ikiro Yoshida is a wanted man.”

 

Winters: “And I’m sure he loves it.”

 

Spirit: “We’ve also had some big WTF Wednesday announcements. Much more to come here tonight. We’ll be back with more analysis in Toronto and of course, more action in Detroit. Don’t go anywhere!”

 

The camera pans out a bit.

 

The Breakdown logo comes up on the screen. We then see a shot of Sienna Swann and then a shot of Donovan Kayl.

 

Voice: “Still to come on Breakdown…In our main event, Sienna Swann looks to continue to impress as she faces off against the experienced Donovan Kayl!”

 

We then see Kennedy Street celebrating with the SCW World Championship from Unflawed.

 

Voice: “And our new World Champion will speak to the world. Her first appearance since winning the title…Kennedy Street will join us! That and much more here on SCW Wednesday Night Breakdown!”

 

The Breakdown logo then goes across the screen before we cut to commercial.

COMMERCIALS

We return to the SCW Studios in Toronto to see the camera pan down as we see Spirit Dansby and Shawn Winters in the studio.

 

Spirit: “Welcome back to Breakdown. We’ll be taking you back to Detroit in a little while. Spirit Dansby here with Shawn Winters. This has been a very newsworthy night as David Helms has quickly put his stamp on things. We saw Unflawed. He was involved greatly there, but this concept he’s developed, WTF Wednesday, it looks like it could be a big shake-up and the fans are deeply involved.”

 

Winters: “Well we know for certain a couple of things about that event. It’s here on Breakdown in two weeks when we come to you from Japan. As a result, fan voting will end at noon. But we’ve seen three huge matches announced so far. Big ramifications. First, we know for the World Championship, Kennedy Street will defend against one of at least Bree Mason or Sienna Swann.”

 

Spirit: “Both great choices and a huge match there.”

 

Winters: “We just found out about the World Tag Team Championship too. Three teams – Har Megiddo, the Truelove Twins and Red Empire, one of them will get a shot against Max Kane and Dawn Lohan…”

 

Spirit: “If they’re the two that are chosen.”

 

Winters: “Good point. Winner will face Sophie James and David Callahan at Taking Hold of the Flame.”

 

Spirit: “But then there’s another huge match…Giovanni Aries and Ace Marshall will face off one more time. The fans get to choose the type of match.”

 

Winters: “We don’t know what the stipulations will be, but given that they’ve been on full adventures before, who knows what we can expect here.”

 

Spirit: “And it’s only the start. We’re being told that other matches are in consideration. One for the TV Title to. We’ll see what to expect there.”

 

Spirit pauses for a moment.

 

Spirit: “But along with all of this, we’ve been waiting for one interview all tonight. Hana Ito is with that person. At Unflawed, AJ Helms had a tough loss to Ikiro Yoshida and lost out on winning the interim US Championship. AJ Helms had won the shot, but then had to watch his adoptive father place the title around Ikiro Yoshida’s waist. Hana?”

 

We cut to the Little Caesars Arena backstage to see Hana Ito standing with AJ Helms.

 

Hana: “Thank you Spirit. I am here with AJ Helms and it’s been a unique couple of weeks for you. You watched your father become named the Commissioner, but then failed to win the interim US Championship. This all coming after potentially facing your adoptive mother, and being told that the Board of Directors had lost faith in you. First off, I’m not going to ask you what you’re feeling, but instead ask, what’s the next step?”

 

AJ: “You forgot that my adoptive uncle also got an interim US Championship shot too and I had to watch my adoptive father place the title around Ikiro’s waist.”

 

AJ pauses for a moment.

 

AJ: “First off, taking nothing away from Ikiro…he’s great…just showed that again by being Selena Frost, hardly an easy task if you ask me.”

 

AJ pauses again.

 

AJ: “I don’t know what the next step is. I had to find out my father is running this company when he walked out. I didn’t know before then. I find out that the Board of Directors loses faith in me and I’ve had to undergo all of these emotions…all after the last year, where I had people screwing with my family life…Its funny…when David walked out. I figured that people second-guessing everything I did would be my biggest problem. Everyone assuming that I didn’t earn anything, that I was handed it. But it’s not. What stung more than anything was that I had to watch my father place that title around someone else’s waist. A moment that could have been something to remember forever. Instead…just another punch to the gut. What’s next, Hana?”

 

AJ shakes his head.

 

AJ: “I can’t answer that. Because Jason, he’s got a US title shot. When Regan returns in two weeks, she may be focused on regaining what is rightfully hers and I can’t even ask my father for guidance because he’s running the God damned show! Anything he says will be seen as a handout. So sorry if I’m a bit on edge, but no matter what D did…no matter the family BS and that personal crap, at least I knew where I was headed. At least I could have a talk with him that people wouldn’t second guess. Now…I guess thanks…I don’t even know what to do. From the world to who knows…”

 

AJ shakes his head. He then turns and walks off. Hana Ito watches him leave and turns to the camera.

 

Hana: “AJ Helms clearly needing to do some soulsearching and finding answers, but that may be easier said than done. Back to Toronto.”

 

We cut back to the studio as Spirit turns to Shawn.

 

Spirit: “Thank you Hana. Shawn, this is a unique situation for AJ. Something not really ever seen here in SCW.”

 

Winters: “And this is where there’s something to be said about the kid’s integrity, but at the same time, who gives a damn what people think. Given that if people want to find an excuse, they will, I think he’s overthinking it. But then again, this is one of those times where the only thing that can help you is your own personal perspective. He’s going to have some tough decisions and David, Jason, Regan, Mr. D, whoever, it’s not going to help him. At the heart of this, I think he thought he’d walk out interim US Champion at Unflawed. He didn’t. Now he has to figure it out, when after The Future is Now, he showed he may not be the best at that.”

 

Spirit: “We’ll have to see how he reacts in the near future. How David may too. Jason as well. He’ll be in action against Memphis Cade later. All this and much more. But when we return, we’ll be back in Detroit and Kennedy Street will make her first appearance as World Champion. Breakdown continues after this!”

 

The scene then cuts to commercial.

COMMERCIALS

We open up with a panning shot inside the Little Caesars Arena.

 

Sharper: “Welcome back to Detroit for Breakdown!”

 

A few moments pass before “Criticize” by Adelita’s Way starts to play. The crowd erupts in cheers and a few moments pass before we see Kennedy Street walk out from the back, wearing a blouse and jeans and with the SCW World Championship over her shoulder. She looks around as the crowd cheers. We then see a few moments pass before Amy Chastaine walks out with her. Kennedy looks behind her and smiles.

 

Knots: “Your new SCW World Champion! Kennie!”

 

Sharper: “Kennedy Street getting it done at Unflawed and coming out, not alone, joined by her B.A.E. partner, Amy Chastaine. Undoubtedly in case Dark Fantasy tries something.”

 

Knots: “And we know damn well it will happen or they may try!”

 

Kennedy walks down to the ring, followed by Amy Chastaine. The crowd cheers for both as the camera pans throughout the crowd. Kennedy Street walks over to the corner and walks up the steel steps. She then walks along the apron and steps through the ropes. Amy Chastaine follows and enters the ring too. Kennedy Street walks to the middle of the ring and poses.

 

Sharper: “Kennedy Street defeated Syren in singles competition. Everyone banned from ringside and it was a classic. Both on their top games, but Syren just unable to counter the drive, the passion, the desire to win of Kennedy Street.”

 

Knots: “That’s because they riled her up. And Kennedy Street wanted to do all she could to end their humiliated, their attempt to derail her career with her standing on top!”

 

She then looks around before turning to the corner and grabbing a microphone. She takes it and walks back over to the middle of the ring. Amy Chastaine applauds Kennedy a bit as Kennedy looks around and the music starts to fade out. She looks around as the crowd cheers.

 

Kennedy: “Syren!....Ravyn!....CHBK!...I just want to take a moment and thank you!”

 

The crowd buzzes a bit.

 

Kennedy: “Because thanks to all three of you crafting this story, trying to destroy everything I had worked for in the last two years for your petty desire for revenge and the World Title…I can now say I stand here and am exactly where I wanted to get back to. I am the SCW World Champion for the second time!”

 

The crowd cheers as Kennedy smiles.

 

Kennedy: “I hope it was all worth it. I hope your time back to the top was worth it Syren, because just like three years ago, I did the same thing and took this title from you, but unlike three years ago, I’m not going to stand here with a group of people, making people run the gauntlet just to have the honour of facing me. I’m not going to dodge the responsibilities of being World Champion. I’m not going to think I am better than everyone, just like you do today Syren. And what Unflawed proved is at the end of the day, you can manage to get by for only so long, relying on others, trying to do what you can to bend the rules to your advantage, and get some good luck, before karma kicks your ass!”

 

The crowd cheers as Amy smirks and Kennedy continues to speak.

 

Kennedy: “And Syren, I already know you, Ravyn and CHBK have to be scheming. That’s what you do. You’re going to be thinking about any way to get your shot. You’re probably going to demand your rematch. Well, Syren, I’m ready. Because right now, I have the happy ending I deserve. Holding this title and having taken it from you, when you used me to get your opportunity at it. And Syren…you can challenge me again. You can arrange to have CHBK and Ravyn Taylor at ringside and I will do everything I can to keep this from you because I know that’s the sweetest revenge for ALL of this. You had this great plan and at the end, the Sexy, Flawless Diva kicked your ass and brought it to an END!”

 

Knots: “Damn right!”

 

Kennedy looks around.

 

Kennedy: “And you can have other people try to take me out. You can have people threaten to injure me. I will keep fighting and I will show that again in two weeks at WTF Wednesday when whoever these fans vote to face me, I will be yet again better and prove that I am nothing like I was three years ago.”

 

We then suddenly cut backstage as we see Syren in the office of David Helms with Ravyn Taylor and CHBK. David Helms is standing in front of them as Syren is tearing a strip off of him.

 

Syren: “I don’t care what gimmick you came up with. I have a rematch owed to me. And I’m not going to have what happened last time happen again. So whatever BS you came up with for WTF Wednesday, likely to help your wife’s friends…can it and you’ll be having me face Kennedy Street that night.”

 

We cut to see Kennedy Street watching in the ring with Amy Chastaine before cutting back.

 

Helms: “The match is already signed. I’ve already cleared it with the Board. And Sienna Swann and Bree Mason, the coincidence aside of their relationship with my wife, they’ve been just as vocal as  well you are, and have been competing to a high level which despite you doing everything you did with Ravyn and CHBK…And trust me, I’m fully aware of what you’re all capable of, if you don’t recall.”

 

Syren: “I knew this was going to be a joke.”

 

CHBK: “Syren…allow me to deal with it.”

 

Helms: “There’s nothing to deal with Alex. And trust me, of the three of you, Syren’s got the best shot because at least I’ve moved on from whatever we had.”

 

Syren rolls her eyes.

 

Helms: “I’d love to hand you a rematch. Because then win or lose, it makes it easy. But just as you’ve had your opportunity, conned or not, Sienna has proven she deserves hers no matter what you three think…and Bree, well, this is her last shot.”

 

Ravyn: “There’s a simple corrective then…Taking Hold of the Flame. You just named a Tag Team Championship match. Name the World Championship match. Syren faces the champion that night.”

 

Helms: “I can’t.”

 

Syren: “Or you won’t.”

 

Helms: “I can’t. Because someone has cashed in their Trios Tournament contract.”

 

The crowd roars as Kennedy is shown looking on and smiling before turning to Amy.

 

Knots: “What? Trios Tournament contract?’

 

Sharper: “And for the World Title it sounds like. Kennedy seems happy!”

 

Syren: “What?! Who?”

 

Helms: “Donovan Kayl. And he will challenge for the World Title that night.”

 

The crowd erupts in cheers. Kennedy Street smiles as Amy and her are seen again.

 

Sharper: “Donovan Kayl!”

 

CHBK chuckles a bit. Syren turns to CHBK and Ravyn for a moment before turning back.

 

Syren: “Then make me an option in two weeks.”

 

Helms: “About that…I can make that decision. And I will put you in it, but on one condition.”

 

CHBK, Ravyn and Syren look at him.

 

Helms: “This El Angel del Cielo that came in and attacked Kennedy. She needs to be here next week and ready to compete. You want to bring in people to attack championship contenders, then they can be prepared for the consequences too.”

 

Syren turns to Ravyn and CHBK. CHBK just nods.

 

CHBK: “If that’s all, happily.”

 

Helms: “Good…I look forward to seeing her next week.”

 

CHBK motions to Syren and Ravyn. Syren turns and storms out. Kennedy just smirks in the ring, watching this. We cut back to see Ravyn turning to Helms.

 

Ravyn: “Enjoying this all?”

 

Helms: “Doing what I can.”

 

Ravyn: “Everything to avoid the fact that on WTF Wednesday coincides perfectly with your wife’s return from suspension. I noticed that coincidence too.”

 

Helms: “Nothing you need to be worried about Ravyn.”

 

Ravyn: “Not concerned at all. You know I’ll respond accordingly. As will Alex.”

 

Helms: “Perhaps you should respond to Christy accordingly.”

 

Ravyn: “Perhaps you should talk to your son.”

 

Ravyn turns and walks off as the crowd ohs as we then cut away.

 

We open up at the ringside area to see Adam Sharper and Jonathan Knots at the announce table.

 

Sharper: “A lot to parse there, but Kennedy Street on top of the world and ready to get to defending her title!”

 

Knots: “But she could have Sienna Swann, Bree Mason or Syren if Syren can produce El Angel del Cielo, the person who attacked Kennedy Street two weeks ago!”

 

Sharper: “Guess El Angel could get a chance to meet Syren herself. Couldn’t then. But then the tension and Ravyn Taylor making some serious accusations.”

 

Knots: “WTF Wednesday does happen on the same date we could see Regan back, but they’ve got to be talking at home. They’ve got to be!”

 

Sharper: “I don’t doubt that, but David’s not beholden to her. We heard clearly from David himself that the Board hired him to keep her under control. So the next couple of weeks could be very interesting for the Helms family, for the World Title and for much more. But we should mention the biggest bombshell in there…Donovan Kayl will challenge for the World Title at Taking Hold of the Flame!”

 

Knots: “Cashing in the Trios Tournament contract. To face Kennedy.”

 

Sharper: “or Bree or Sienna or maybe Syren too.”

 

Knots: “Well Kennedy is going to do all she can to retain and hold on until then. But Kenendy was smiling. I think she knew. I think they thought this through.”

 

Sharper: “I don’t know. But we’re going to try and get some reaction. Donovan Kayl is going to face Sienna Swann tonight in our main event. That and much more still to come here on Breakdown. Breakdown continues from Detroit when we return!”

 

We cut to a panning shot of the crowd as “Immortals” starts to play as the scene fades to commercial.

COMMERCIALS

We return to Breakdown to see Kennedy Street, Amy Chastaine and Donovan Kayl backstage. We see Jessica Winters walking over to them.

 

Jessica: “Donovan…Kennedy and Amy, you’re all here and I assume that you were all aware this was the plan.”

 

Kayl: “Of course. Why wouldn’t I let them in on it? Make sure they understood my thinking and get their thoughts.”

 

Jessica: “So obviously, you’ve cashed in your Trios Tournament contract to face the World Champion at Taking Hold of the Flame and that could very well be Kennedy Street.”

 

Kayl: “And I hope it is.”

 

Kennedy: “As do I!”

 

Kennedy chuckles. Amy smiles.

 

Kennedy: “While I have no problem in facing Syren, she has to deal with the consequences of her actions. Of her actions and of Ravyn and CHBK. She may get this vote in two weeks. And I look forward to seeing El Angel here next week, trust me there. But Taking Hold of the Flame is now out for an option if she fails.”

 

Kayl: “She may get her rematch. That’s still up to Helms and the Board. Or maybe Mr. D if he’s back. She, CHBK and Ravyn Taylor can try and convince them. But this was our ace up our sleeve. Kennedy won the World Championship. We’re going to make Syren work for a rematch if she wants one this time. As for the title match, at Taking Hold of the Flame, I hope I’m facing Kennedy. It would be my honour to challenge her in that ring.”

 

Kayl scoffs a moment.

 

Kayl: “It’s funny. In November, Syren challenged me to a singles match regarding respect. Had she played her cards differently, I may have been thinking about facing her with the title on the line in that same light. But after the last few months, I can’t wait until, I hope, I can tear down the house with someone who has become a true champion.”

 

Jessica: “But this reminds me of her rationale for why she went along with Ravyn and CHBK. Promised a rematch, but one that no longer happened when the title changed hands.”

 

Kayl: “The difference this time…while I can understand the frustration, that is a hazard of hoping everything falls into place. Could even happen to us. Kennedy is going to be ready for whatever awaits her. But for Syren, this time, she has no one to blame but herself.”

 

Kennedy: “Exactly.”

 

Amy, Kennedy and Kayl then turn and walk off as we cut to the ring.

Jason Helms vs. Memphis Cade

 

The lights in the arena cut and the darkness remains for a moment before the intro of “Hated” by Beartooth starts to play over the PA system, the lyrics appearing on the big screen in time with the music.

“WHO KNEW YOU’D BE HATED FOR BEING WHO YOU ARE…
AND BE A BIG TARGET FOR ALL THE FOR ALL THE INSECURE…”

The crash of drums and the wail of guitars kick the song in properly and as the volume doubles a spotlight appears on the stage to show a smirking Jason Helms standing there with his arms out wide. He throws his head back as Aniya Helms walks into the light and steps up in front of Jason, leaning her back into his stomach as she brings her arms up around his neck. Jason lowers his head again and Aniya steps forward for Jason to remove his jacket and tosses it onto the floor, pausing only to slap his wife’s ass before he springs to the ring. 

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a fifteen minute time limit. First, on his way to the ring; accompanied by his wife Aniya, from New Jersey, fighting via the Hollywood Hills, he is Jason Helms!”

Helms hits the ring and slides under the ropes, popping straight back up to his feet and scaling the ropes to throw his arms out again as his wife makes her way to ringside with Jason’s jacket trailing from one hand. The fans cheer as Jason looks at them from his position on the ropes but he pays little attention to them as he turns and drops down into the corner, talking to Aniya as he sits and waits for the start of the match.

 

Sharper: “We found out to start the night that Giovanni Aries and Ace Marshall would do battle one more time.”

 

Knots: “Wonderland against the Lizard Kingdom happening again. The idiots…”

 

Sharper: “Jason Helms coming off a big win against Alistaire Allocco. He’s the number one contender to the interim US Championship. A match against Ikiro Yoshida awaits him.”

 

The lyrics of "Lollipop" by Framing Hanley begins to ring out to a chorus of boos from the SCW fans as light blue pyros shoot up in the air. A few moments pass as the song plays then. Memphis Cade slowly strolls out on the stage and does a crucifix pose with his head down. He then quickly jerks his head up as he has a smug smirk on his face and takes in the boos as he chuckles to himself a bit. He makes his way down toward the ring as he provokes the fans more. Memphis Cade makes it to ringside. 

Phillips: “And his opponent, from Los Angeles, California, he is Memphis Cade!”


Then Memphis Cade climbs up on the ring apron. Memphis then jumps over the ring ropes. While in the ring, Memphis Cade takes off his black Silverstar shirt and throws it to the ring attendant. Memphis turns around and shows off his body to showers of boos from the crowd. Memphis Cade walks over and climbs the middle rope and he motions look at me. He finally jumps down and gets ready for the match.

 

Sharper: “Chubbs not with Memphis Cade. He’s actually doing some promotional work regarding Ace Marshall and Cassidy Carter’s previous issues and that video from a few weeks ago.”

 

Knots: “Probably for the best.”

 

Sharper: “But Memphis said he had better things to do, referring to the Truelove Twins and they’ve been flirting quite a bit.”

 

The bell sounds. Memphis and Jason look at each other. Memphis turns and motions to Aniya and shows his abs off. Aniya then turns and points to Jason. Memphis turns and Jason flips him off. Memphis looks at him and lunges at him and Jason ducks a clothesline attempt. Memphis stops and turns and Jason smacks him. Memphis falls back to the corner, Jason moves in and kicks him in the ribs and then again before whipping him across the ring. Memphis hits the corner. Jason runs after and Memphis gets an elbow up. Helms staggers back and Memphis runs at him and kicks him in the ribs and grabs him and takes him over with a headlock takedown. He then gets up and hits an elbow drop. Memphis rolls over.

 

Sharper: “Big elbow drop and Memphis Cade getting the control here.”

 

Knots: “As both just going after each other. Both jackasses in their own ways.”

 

Memphis turns and grabs Jason and pulls him up and nails him with a hard right and then chops him. Jason falls to the ropes. Memphis whips him across. Jason bounces off and Memphis lowers his head but Jason grabs him and snaps him back with a mat slam. Memphis rolls over as the crowd cheers. Jason kicks him in the ribs and then hooks him up and hits a vertical suplex. He floats over for the pin.

Memphis kicks out. Both start to get up and Jason nails him in the ribs with a kick. He then scoops him up and slams him down. Jason turns and starts to get up and Helms runs into the ropes and bounces off and clotheslines Memphis down. Memphis hits the mat. Helms jumps up and hits a leg drop. He goes for the pin.

Memphis kicks out. He starts to stir and Helms grabs him and drags him up and runs him over into the corner and drives him face first into the top turnbuckle.

 

Sharper: “Jason Helms using his brawling background a bit to send Memphis into the corner.”

 

Knots: “Not his face…his beautiful face.”

 

Sharper: “Nice sarcasm.”

 

Knots: “He’s affiliated with an idiot. He deserves it!”

 

Memphis turns and Helms chops him and the crowd woos. He then pulls him out and drops him into the ropes before firing him across. Memphis bounces off and Helms goes for a clothesline, but Memphis ducks and bounces off the ropes before hitting a headscissors into a DDT. The crowd ohs. Memphis goes for the pin.

Helms gets his shoulder up. He turns and shakes his head a bit and stirs before Memphis starts to get up. Helms slowly gets up and Memphis nails him with a hard right and then another before whips him into the ropes. Helms bounces off and Memphis nails him in the ribs and then grabs him and hits another DDT. He goes for the pin.

Helms shoots his shoulder up. Memphis rolls off. He looks around. He shakes his head.

 

Sharper: “Nearfall. Memphis with a hell of a DDT. A hell of a second DDT and got all of it, but Helms digging deep.”

 

Knots: “Imagine what Jason would be thinking…or Alistaire Allocco…if Memphis Cade got the job done and he didn’t! Especially since Alistaire Allocco tried to outwrestle him. Memphis is just driving him into the mat!”

 

Helms rolls over and Memphis grabs him and pulls him up and smiles before Helms suddenly elbows him in the ribs. Memphis staggers back and Helms jumps back and hits the ReAwakening! The crowd cheers and Jason falls over and rolls to the corner. Memphis slowly crawls to the ropes as the crowd erupts in cheers as we see Giovanni Aries running out from the back. He runs in and slides into the ring. The official turns and tries to get him out of the ring, but Giovanni looks at Memphis before turning and grabbing the official and nailing him with a hard right. The crowd roars. Memphis starts to get up and Giovanni runs over and spears him in the ribs and hard into the corner and then again and again and again. He then backs up and grabs Memphis and whips him across the ring. Memphis hits the corner and goes up and over the top rope and to the floor. He then starts to head towards him and Jason runs over and quickly gets between Giovanni Aries and the ropes.

 

Sharper: “Giovanni Aries coming out, seeing someone affiliated with Ace Marshall and Jason Helms stopping him!”

 

Knots: “Maybe he’s trying to make his brother’s job easier. Giovanni Aries is a crazed man!”

 

Sharper: “And assaulted an official!”

 

Jason keeps holding Giovanni back as Giovanni backs up and threatens to strike Jason. Jason holds his hands up. He then points to the official and starts to calm him down.

 

Jason: “You want to lose your match with Ace…relax man! Relax!”

 

Giovanni seethes as Memphis backs up and falls onto the ramp before starting to get up. We see a couple of officials running down to the ring as Giovanni paces a bit. Jason keeps talking him down as Aniya looks on and we cut away.

 

Backstage we see Alexis Quinne standing with Hana Ito.

 

Hana: “I am here with Alexis Quinne and Alexis, it’s been a unique year for you. You started off by challenging for the SCW United States Championship and then having a solid run in the Trios Tournament, before defeating Josh Hudson at Retribution but things have stalled.”

 

Alexis: “Things won’t be stalled for too long. Took a nice month off from the circus that is Past, Present, Future, ready to move forward and-

We then see a shadow come over the scene as Hana Ito looks up and Alexis Quinne does too. The camera pans over to show Xander Valentine.

 

Xander: “So this is the Pint-Sized Awesomeness…”

 

Alexis just looks at Xander, not standing down. Xander shrugs before drilling Alexis in the face with a boot.

 

Sharper: “What the hell?!”

 

Hana Ito jukes back.

 

Hana: “Help!”

 

Xander: “Not that awesome to me.”

 

Xander looks at her and scoffs before turning to Hana Ito.

 

Xander: “Wasting interview time on this. Shame. Then again, not like you should use it on me. Destroying Jake Starr was the only message I needed regarding what I plan to do at Taking Hold of the Flame.”

 

Xander then steps over Alexis as Alexis holds her face and walks off as the scene slowly fades to black.

COMMERCIALS

Breakdown returns as we see Memphis Cade wincing as he walks through the backstage area.

 

Cade: “Crazy Lizard King bitching asshole…”

 

Cade winces again and continues down the hallway before stopping and smiling as we see London and Paris Truelove a couple of strides away.

 

Cade: “Well there’s a sight for sore eyes.”

 

Cade walks over to them.

 

London: “Did Giovanni rough you up at all?”

 

Paris: “Any bumps and bruises?”

 

Cade: “Nothing that you two couldn’t take care of?”

 

London and Paris turn to each other.

 

London: “I think we can have fun with him.”

 

Paris: “Definitely can have fun with him.”

 

Cade: “Shall we?”

 

Paris: “Shower first.”

 

London: “Yes…shower first.”

 

Cade: “Care to join me?”

 

London and Paris laugh.

 

London: “We’ll see you by our car after. Don’t take too long. We may get bored.”

 

Memphis smiles as London and Paris turn and head off as we cut away.

Sophie O’Brian vs. Bill Barnhart

 

“Hands of the Wicked” begins to play. The lights in the arena fade. A single spotlight shines upon the stage as the tron comes to life and shows images of bloody warfare from all throughout history. The words “Total War” appear on the tron as green pyro begins to go off. Sophie O’Brian then steps out onto the stage side by side with her brother Mark. Sophie’s arms slowly rise up so that they are extended outwards from her sides in a crucifix like pose.

Phillips: “Introducing first, she hails from Belfast, Ireland and is being accompanied to the ring by Mark O’Brian, she is Sophie O’Brian!!!”

She soaks up the response from the crowd. Finally, Sophie and Mark begin to make their way towards the ring. Sophie is to the ring area and then climbs up onto the ring apron and then steps into the ring. Mark walks around the ring to a respective corner while Sophie holds her arms outstretched in another crucifix like pose now in the center of the ring...

Sharper: “Sophie O’Brian in action tonight, he advisor Quinn Murry surely watching this closely after taking her under her wing.”

Knots: “Tonight will be a great way to bounce back after Unflawed. She took part in the Battle Royal, along with her opponent tonight and both came up a little short.”

Sharper: “They did, we all know who won that. Ikiro Yoshida!”

Knots: “Don’t remind me, I can’t believe he is both the Interim United States and now Television Champion. I’m still waiting on my Lottery Ticket.”

Sophie walks towards her corner and crouches down leaning against the turnbuckles allowing her brother Mark to whisper tactics into her ear. All the while the eyes direct to the stage when Confident by Demi Lovato begins to play as the lights in the arena go dark. We watch as pink spotlights flash around the entrance area. After a short time, we see “Bulldog” Bill Barnhart step out from the backstage area with his English Bulldog, Iris, strutting along beside him. Iris is wearing a pink diamond-studded dog collar and there is a pink leash attached to the collar and the leash trails behind her as she comes down the entrance ramp toward the ring.

Phillips: “And her opponent, hailing from Lawrenceville, Georgia… He is being accompanied to the ring by his pet bulldog, Iris… BILL BARNHART!!”

The fans don’t particularly care for Bill Barnhart and they let him know it with boos and taunts. Barnhart ignores them as he is here to wrestle and not cater to the fans. Even as the fans yell louder at him and throw trash at him he ignores them. When Barnhart arrives at the ringside area he bends down and grabs the leash of Iris and hands it to a ringside assistant who holds onto the leash and keeps Iris at ringside to watch Bill’s match. Barnhart gives Iris a kiss on the nose and then he climbs the ring steps to the ring apron. Bill then walks along the ring apron and when he reaches the middle of the ropes he ducks through the ropes into the ring. He walks around the ring playing the crowd but that only incites them to boo him more. Barnhart again ignores the rude fans as he backs into a corner to await the start of his match.

Knots: “That is one ugly dog.”

Sharper: “I’m sure he would love to hear you tell him that to his face.”

Knots: “I like my arms as they are, so does Kennedy, thank you very much.”

The sound of laughter from Sharper is heard while the cameras attention is inside the ring. Iris can be heard barking at Mark O’Brian one assumes when the bell sounds. Sophie pulls herself up from the corner and Barnhart immediately makes a beeline toward her and grappling. A knee to the gut sends her to the corner where he starts to club down at her back again and again. Right off the cuff he begins to stomp the chest of Sophie O’Brian before stopping and pressing his foot on her throat and choking her. The referee immediately tries to separate them but to no avail and so begins the count of five.

1…

2… Mark O’Brian leaps onto the Apro right away and breaks up the count from the referee and the choke hold on his sister when Bill Barnhart takes a swing at him instead. The crowd roars when the attention is back on Sophie who he pulls out of the corner and sends across the ring with a thunderous Irish Whip which looks like it causes the ring to move a few inches! Sophie cries out in pain as she falls to the canvas holding her back while Barnhart looks out to the crowd with a sneer on his lips.

Sharper: “Well we already knew how he felt about O’Brian but now he’s showing us just to clarify it completely.”

Knots: “She joined Murry for her wisdom, she’s gonna need a lot more than that if things carry on for O’Brian like that!”

Sophie starts to get to her feet, Barnhart runs at her, but the Irishwoman drops back to the canvas and quickly rolls out of the ring. Bill stops himself from hitting the corner and quickly exits the ring while Sophie makes her away around it. The larger Barnhat runs around giving chase and looks for a clothesline, but O’Brian is warned by her brother. She spins out and sends Bill crashing into the nearby steel post! The fans are mixed but roar when Iris starts to bark frantically trying to get free from the ring assistant.

Knots: “Oh god, keep hold of that dog, the last thing SCW needs is a PETA law suit.”

Sharper: “That I can agree with. Barnhart looking in trouble now though after hitting that ring post hard.”

Bill does look dazed when Sophie pulls him up and throws him back first into the barricade where he slides down into a seated position. The referee demands she brings him back into the ring but O’Brian waves him off as she kicks Barnhart in the chest. She kicks him again and again as the official starts the ten count.

1…

2… Another kick to the chest on Barnhart.

3…

4… Sophie now pulls him to his feet and hits a chop across his chest causing him to wince…

5…

6… Sophie hits another chop and another only this time Bill begins to tense up like Iris and glares at Sophie who quickly stops in her tracks…

Sharper: “Uh-oh the Bulldog is out.”

Sophie backs up and quickly rolls into the ring, Bill Barnhart charges after her and slides in, Sophie leaps onto the ropes and springbaords off as Barnhart runs at her, she turns, and grabs hold of him and hits an incredible Asai DDT! The fans roar as she rolls over and covers Bill…

1…

2… NO! KICK OUT BY BARNHART!!

Mark at ringside holds his head, Sophie slaps the mat hoping that would be it, but Barnhart already starts to stir and get back to his feet after that DDT. Sophie leaps to hers and hits the ropes once again only to drop him down with a knee lift, another cover from the Irish Woman causes a stir, but she doesn’t even get a one count this time around when Barnhart throws her off and immediately gets to his feet. Sophie looks on in shock as she is pulled to her feet only to get a huge one-handed chop across her chest that sends her down to the canvas, Barnhart however keeps hold of her and pulls her back up only to slap her back down again once more.

Knots: “Jesus did you HEAR that impact?!”

Sharper: “Those are some brutal chops there from Bill Barnhart, he isn’t messing around. A message is being sent here tonight.”

Sophie winces in pain but has little time to compose herself with bring brought back to her feet and sent into the corner with another Irish whip! This time though Barnhart gives chase and catches her with a brutal shoulder block into the corner. He holds onto the ropes and hits another and another before lifting her onto his shoulder and hitting a running power slam into the canvas an covering.

2… NO! KICK OUT BY O’BRIAN!

Again, outside the ring Mark O’Brian holds his head and then clutches his hands together to pray for his sister who is clearly worse for wear. Inside the ring Barnhart sneers while looking down at Sophie who is stumbling to her feet now. With a hand full of hair, Barnhart goes for another chop, but Sophie ducks, Bill spins on his heels and gets caught with a kick to his thigh, Sophie hits another and another dropping Bill to a knee. Here she runs the ropes and connects with a stiff forearm shot to the side of Bills head, but he doesn’t go down. Sophie runs at the ropes again and charges at Barnhart, but he leaps back to his feet and launches Sophie into the air pushing her up high! The fans roar as she hangs there for what feels like an eternity before coming down, Barnhart looking to catch her but She grabs hold of his neck anddrives her knees into his chest with an amazing Codebreaker!

Sharper: “WOW! THE DEATH OF WISDOM OUT OF NO WHERE!”

Knots: “Jesus Christ! She must have knocked the wind out of him!”

Bill flies back onto the canvas, Sophie dives onto him hooking both of his legs, Mark O’Brian is slapping the mat along with the referee who counts.

Barnhart kicks out literally after the three count, but it’s too little too late as Sophie leaps to her feet and raises her arm as Hand of the Wicked hits over the P.A System. Barnhart rolls to his knees and then his feet, his face a beet red as Sophie quickly exits the ring to be with her brother, the siblings quickly backing up the aisle. Inside the ring Bill Barnhart has hold of the referee where he yells at him saying he kicked out. The referee denies that, says it was three Barnhart throwing him down and kicking the ropes in frustration. Iris has now escaped the ring assistant and immediately began running up the steel steps and into the ring to be with Bill who drops to a knee and watches Sophie and Mark O’Brian head backstage…

Sharper: “Hell of a match between these two, Bill Barnhart got caught by that Death of Wisdom and, it goes to show just how important those three seconds truly are.”

Knots: “Unlucky for Bill, that’s for sure. He had her on the ropes at times.”

Sharper: “Well Ladies and Gentlemen, we have a lot more where that come from, we’ll be right back after this.”

We cut backstage and to the Mason's locker room, where Bree Mason has her phone to her ear, listening intently. Blake Mason is seen sitting on a bench in the background, also on his phone. Then, Bree smiles.

Bree: "That's fabulous news!.... Didn't I tell you that was the right call?.... Yes, send me all the info, everything you have..... Don't you worry about that babe, I will handle everything else from here.... You've done a great job.... Of course, the compensation we discussed will be wired to you tomorrow morning.... Everyone is going to get what they deserve, including me.... Thank you, if I need anything else I will absolutely call you again.

Bree taps her phone screen and turns to face Blake, grinning. He looks up, noticing.

Blake: "I will have to call you back. Business."

Blake lowers his phone and stands up to speak to Bree.

Blake: "Get what you wanted?"

Bree: "I did, and then some. This is working out exactly as I hoped."

Blake: "Are you sure this is the course you want to take? Some things you can't walk away from."

Bree: "Positive. I always get what I want, B. You know that better than anyone."

Blake nods.

Blake: "Alright. You know I had to ask."

Bree smirks as the shot cuts away.

COMMERCIALS

The scene opens up to show Thirteen backstage as he sits on a storage crate and looks up, looking into the camera.

 

Thirteen: “It is always interesting hearing the lies people have to spin to justify themselves. Blake Mason speaks on competition. The same type of competition his beloved does and she only got by by the skin of her teeth. Blake talked about wanting to show respect. The respect he and his band deserve. They do not deserve any. But there is always the opportunity to prove me wrong. And one thing was lacking from your empty words earlier tonight, Blake.”

 

Thirteen pauses.

 

Thirteen: “You could have simply challenged me as I have made clear my desire to face you. Taken the initiative. But alas, you did not and Blake, you forget how well I know you. Remember our history. And I know more than anyone how hollow your words are. I could be wrong, but as they say, only way to test is to prove it in the ring. Just as Kennedy has and so many others have failed to do so. So Blake…your turn.”

 

Thirteen looks at the camera for a few moments as we then cut away.

Sophie James vs. Sammy Thomas Davies

 

“Sharing is Caring” by the Tinker Toys resounds throughout the arena as the crowd stirs. From the back, Sammy Thomas Davies walks out along with Clamidiya. The two look around, somewhat in awe of their surroundings before starting to make their way down to the ring. Clamidiya claps a few hands as STD runs over and slides into the ring. He rolls over and pushes himself up to his feet before running over to the ropes. Clamidiya turns and runs up the steel steps and enters the ring. She walks around and the two pose in the middle of the ring.

Sharper: “SCW long-timer here Sammy Thomas Davies alongside manager Clamidya ready to put on a show.”

Knots: “STD! STD! I always wanted to chant that,”

Sharper: “Stop it.”

The lights in the arena cut completely as the eerie choir-like lines from the UWA remix of “Negative Space” by A Day To Remember hits the speaker system. As the intro begins to play out, strobe lights flash on the stage in time with music. They cut completely again as just the bass guitar plays before the song kicks into full flow.

“THESE WALLS, THIS HOOOUSE”

Pyro’s explode on either end of the stage as the song kicks in fully and the lights flash back up to show Sophie James standing on the stage, where she throws back the hood of her hooded top and then throws her arms out wide and the crowd begin to cheer loudly as Sophie grins broadly.

Phillips: "Ladies and Gentleman, from the Motor City of Detroit Michigan and now fighting out of Las Vegas Nevada, she weighed in earlier tonight at one hundred twenty one pounds, The Motor City Bitch herself...SOPHIE JAMES!!!!"

The crowd roars for their hometown girl. With another grin, Sophie suddenly bursts down the ramp, jumping up and sliding leg first under the bottom rope before leaping up and ascending the turnbuckles. Standing on the middle rope, she once again throws her arms out on both sides, her music still thrashing out as the fans cheer again. Hopping down, Sophie does the same on the opposite side of the ring before dropping down again and removing her jacket, which she tosses to the outside. The music fades as she turns to face Sammy.

Sharper: “Sophie James excited to be performing in front of a hometown crowd tonight. Not originally scheduled but as they say... card subject to change.”

Knots: “I think Sammy can play spoiler and upset her homecoming, he's a veteran!”

Sharper: “And Sophie is a former world champion from another promotion, so we'll see.”

Knots: “Psht. That doesn't matter. We'll see indeed!”

 

Sharper: “Meanwhile earlier, Sophie James and David Callahan named the challengers for the SCW Tag Team Championship at Taking Hold of the Flame. So a big couple of months could be on the horizon.”

The bell rings and Sammy immediately rushes at Sophie taking her down with an arm drag. They both get up quick, and Sophie runs the ropes, and takes Sammy down with a Thez Press before laying into him with some punches. The crowd roars. Sammy covers up, and then manages to push Sophie off. We see Clamidiya leaning on the apron looking on. Sophie gets up and backs up a step so Sammy can get up. He does and Sophie runs the ropes again, this time nailing Sammy with a forearm smash. He stumbles backwards holding his face. Sophie throws a European uppercut. Sammy staggers back some more, into a corner. Sophie backs up a step then runs, landing a running knee to the gut. Sammy doubles over and the crowd cheers.

Sharper: “Sophie James getting an amazing start here, Sammy has barely gotten out of the box.”

Knots: “Poor Clamidiya is beside herself, look at her.”

Clamidiya watches Sammy with a look of concern on her face. Sophie poses for the crowd, then grabs Sammy by the head. She pulls him out of the corner and goes for DDT, but he shoves her off. Sophie stumbles forward a bit, then turns catching her balance. Sammy takes advantage of the brief moment of instability and lands a dropkick. He goes for a cover.

Knots: “Ha! I told you, he's gonna pull this off!”

Sophie kicks out. Clamidiya pouts. The crowd cheers as Sophie gets up. Sammy is up. They both run the ropes in opposite directions. On the rebound Sammy goes for a clothesline. Sophie ducks and bounces off the other side. Sammy keeps his stride and also hits the other side. They both go for a crossbody.... and collide mid-air. Sophie spins around before hitting the mat while Sammy just collapses down, his head bouncing off the mat.

Sharper: “Similar styles here lead to that collision. I think Sammy got the better of that though, Sophie got turned inside out.”

Knots: “I dunno. STD hit his head pretty hard there. Could be about even.”

Sammy gets to his hands and knees first, shaking his head clear. Sophie stirs, and the crowd cheers and claps encouragement at her. Sophie gets her feet under her and gets up as Sammy is still trying to get vertical. She bounces off the ropes and lands a step-up enzuigiri. Sammy goes down again, holding his head.

Sharper: “I'm not sure Sophie realized Sammy hit his head moments ago, I doubt she'd have done that if she knew.”

Knots: “It's fine! STD is hard-headed...”

Sophie makes a cover.

Sammy kicks out. Clamidiya claps. Sophie gets up, waving her arms to rally the crowd behind her. It works and they cheer as Sammy gets to his feet. He suddenly runs at the corner, up the turnbuckles, then turns and leaps with a moonsault. Sophie barely has time to react and Sammy knocks her down. He hooks a leg for a cover.

Sophie kicks out. The crowd cheers.

Sharper: “Okay... that was impressive from Sammy Thomas Davies. But not enough.”

Knots: “He's toying with her Sharper.”

Sammy gets up. Sophie kips up. The crowd cheers. Sammy pulls her into a lock up but Sophie slips out before he can get a good grip. She ducks behind him and runs towards the ropes. Sammy spins around just in time to get caught with a springboard flying forearm. Sammy drops to a knee, holding his head. Sophie backs into the corner, and hits her foot on the mat a few times. The crowd noise increases, as they sense what's coming. As soon as Sammy raises his head a little, Sophie explodes from the corner and drills him in the head with her knee!


Sharper: “Detox!”

Knots: “No! STD you almost had her!”

Clamidiya has both hands on her head in despair as Sophie goes for a cover. The crowd counts with the official.

The bell rings and Sophie hops to her feet.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall..... Sophie James!”

 

Sharper: “A heck of a showing here in her hometown.”

 

Knots: “And maybe Tag Titles could be next. Taking Hold of the Flame!”

The official raises Sophie's arm and the crowd roars as she waves and smiles at her hometown fans. Sammy rolls to the apron and slides out as Sophie continues to celebrate, getting up on the turnbuckles to pose for the fans.

Backstage we see AJ Helms seated backstage, leaning against the wall, looking up. A few moments pass before we see someone walking over to him.

 

AJ: “Really? You?”

 

The camera pans over to show Alistaire Allocco. The crowd boos.

 

Allocco: “I understand what you are going through.”

 

AJ: “Really? Do you?”

 

Allocco: “Of course. I had a father who was an embarrassment as well. Didn’t care what I or anyone else thought. I can’t speak too much on the uncle. Although, I can tell you from personal experience that Jason Helms is a horrible person and frankly, someone you should disavow from your life.”

 

AJ just looks at him.

 

Allocco: “The fact that he will be challenging for the interim US championship is an affront to good taste and decency.”

 

He shakes his head.

 

Allocco: “Perhaps you should consider working with Ace, Cassidy and I. He could guide you.”

 

AJ blinks.

 

AJ: “Are you serious?”

 

Allocco: “Of course. You could learn from a former World Champion. Two if you don’t mind learning from me, even if I have less experience than you. And you could also stand against your uncle.”

 

AJ: “And likely be murdered by my mother.”

 

Allocco: “Oh dear. We need to get you some help even more then.”

 

AJ: “I am not going to be fighting my family. Did you not watch anything I was involved in the month before?”

 

Allocco: “Not exactly. I focus fully on my opponent. What happened?”

 

AJ shakes his head and walks off.

 

Allocco: “Consider my offer! It really is a good one!”

 

Allocco smiles as AJ Helms walks off and the scene fades to black.

COMMERCIALS

Breakdown returns as we open up backstage to see David Helms in his office. He can be seen talking on the phone before we hear the door open and David Helms looks up. Andrew Raynes steps forward and looks at him.

 

Andrew: “Whatever or whoever you’re talking to, not as important.”

 

David: “I’ll call you back.”

 

David then hangs up and stands up.

 

David: “What do you want Andrew?”

 

Andrew: “You’re booking this WTF Wednesday BS and you haven’t even come to talk to your longest reigning champion in SCW. Now I get it, Gable may want another shot, but he just can’t get it done anymore, so let’s put that aside. There’s no obvious choice. Now I get that that’s going to frustrate you but the fact remains that no one could take this from me. So let’s just cut to the chase. Let’s not waste time.”

 

David: “Don’t worry, I don’t plan to waste time, as Andrew, you stopped me from needing to find you.”

 

Andrew: “Oh good. You do remember this title exists. Wait…do we need someone to assault me from behind just to have a challenger.”

 

David: “First off Andrew, I’ll always care about that title. May want to take a look at my work. And as for your challenger, I think you’ll like this. Because I’m going to pick three people. Three people who I think could give you a heck of a match and challenge you for that title. The fans can choose.”

 

Andrew: “Just like they chose to side with Gable? Or what about Dylan? Or given that those fools cheered Derek Adonis and his crappy book.”

 

Andrew pauses and smirks.

 

Andrew: “You know what. Do your worst. Because I’ve got a few more surprises up my sleeve and no one is going to be a serious threat to me. No one. Try it.”

 

Andrew turns and heads out. David watches him leave and shakes his head as we cut away.

We then open up backstage to see Sienna Swann and Laura Steinbeck standing with Jessica Winters backstage.

 

Jessica: “Jessica Winters here and I’m with Sienna Swann and Laura Steinbeck and Sienna, you’ve had a smile on your face for quite some time tonight. Both of you have. Granted, things may not have gone as planned with the Truelove Twins-“

 

Laura: “You take that as not getting what was planned. The fans when they choose, there is only one choice. The Truelove Twins. They want to see something special. It’s that simple. As for Sienna, we’re smiling because now with more cards on the table. With one of the Trios contracts cashed in, we know exactly what is happening there. Would love for Selena to finally just get it done and expose that she is exactly as everyone sees her, a prima donna that needs the spotlight, but she can enjoy her titleless night tonight….Never thought I’d say this, but thank you Ikiro.”

 

Sienna smiles.

 

Laura: “You did something worthwhile for once and it’s only a matter of time, two weeks, until Sienna Swann is going to be World Champion. Again, obvious choice.”

 

Jessica turns to Sienna.

 

Sienna: “Exactly. The world is two weeks away from when they can finally give me the shot that I should’ve had months ago. The opportunity that we can finally see the Real Perfect Ten, the IronAngel on top of the wrestling industry as I deserve. Kennedy, congratulations, but as you couldn’t match me years ago, it will be the same in two weeks. And tonight, with me facing Donovan, I can let him know that he can hope for his perfect match, but it won’t happen. Instead, later tonight becomes a preview of Taking Hold of the Flame. A preview that he is not going to win. So Donovan, get ready. A kiss from an angel awaits and then SCW can get ready for what they finally deserve…Sienna Swann ascending to the top.”

 

Jessica: “Thank you for your time and good luck.”

 

Sienna: “Won’t need it.”

 

Sienna turns and walks off with Laura Steinbeck.

 

“Immortals” then starts to play as we see the Breakdown logo come up on the screen. We see a shot of Sienna Swann and then a shot of Donovan Kayl before showing both.

 

Sharper: “It’s our main event. Donovan Kayl faces Sienna Swann in singles action and its next, here on Breakdown!”

 

The scene fades to black.

Donovan Kayl vs. Sienna Swann

 

A red carpet is rolled out with a few photographers positioned toward the entrance position, the woman by the name of Laura Steinbeck directs everyone to take their positions just as the arena goes dark. Suddenly one lone spotlight shines in entrance where smoke begins to come out and surround the stage. “Style" by Taylor Swift begins to play throughout the arena, the Tron plays the Video of her various photo-shoots, training, fighting, swimsuits, lingerie and walking through nightclubs with men gawking over her in skin tight dresses. Then Angel, Sienna Swann walks out with her head down as the crowd gives a mix reaction but admiring at the beauty. Sienna then extends her arms and reveals the large golden angel wings that are part of her entrance gear, she looks around at the crowd and smirks, posing as the camera flashes begin to pepper down on her from the “paparazzi” staged around her, Laura making sure that they take plenty of pics of The Beautiful Angel before making her way to the ring.

 

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall with TV time remaining and is your main event of the evening. First, on her way to the ring, from Johannesburg, South Africa, she is the IronAngel, Sienna Swann!”

Sienna walks down to the ring. She continues to the apron, climbing up the stairs and to the top rope, posing with her wings spread wide. She looks up to the rafters as a gold spotlight like the light of heaven shines down on her as gold glitter begins to rain down on the entire arena. Sienna smirks and hops into the ring, spreading her arms out and smiling before taking off her wings with the ring crew helping her. Sienna stands, patiently waiting for the start of the match posing and showing off her assets to the crowd as they continue to boo her a bit.

 

Sharper: “No Truelove Twins here. They’ve left with Memphis. Sienna Swann meanwhile, as she said, this could be a preview of Taking Hold of the Flame.”

 

Knots: “I don’t even know what to say. But Kennedy Street…she’ll be ready. Sienna Swann will be the World Champion at some point.”

 

Sharper: “If Sienna Swann wins the vote in two weeks, and wins the title, she could defend against Donovan Kayl at Taking Hold of the Flame!”

 

"Tom Sawyer” by Rush starts to play as the spotlight focuses on the top of the ramp. Immediately, the crowd rise to their feet in a raucous ovation. Stepping out to the top of the ramp is "The Cornerstone" Donovan Kayl. He steps to the side, facing out to the crowd. As he stands atop the ramp, he throws his arm out with each big note of the beginning musical portion. After turning his head to survey the entire crowd, he turns to face the front of the ramp, beginning to walk out towards the ring.

Phillips: “And her opponent, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, he is The Cornerstone of Professional Wrestling, Donovan Kayl!”


Kayl keeps his eyes focused on the ring ahead, and with a stoic gaze in his eyes, slaps the hands of a few fans at ringside. Once he gets to the bottom of the ramp, Donovan pulls himself up onto the apron, walking over to the corner. He climbs up onto the second rope, looking out over the crowd, until the next lines hit. Kayl throws his arms up for the roaring crowd, shouting out something that's just impossible to hear outside of the first couple of rows nearby. He hops the top rope into the ring, moving to the middle where he spins once, dropping to a knee and shooting his arms out. He drops his head as the crowd showers the ring with streamers, cascading down around him as he looks at the ring under his knee before raising his head upward slowly.

 

Sharper: “Donovan Kayl becoming a focal point very quickly. He’s had a heck of a year so far. Nearly defeated Ravyn Taylor and Christy Matthews at Unflawed. Ravyn Taylor just narrowly able to get in there as we showed earlier tonight.”

 

Knots: “Yeah, but Kayl quickly turning all of the attention and Syren, Ravyn and CHBK can figure out whatever they want. Kayl and Kennedy, I hope they face. That’ll be great.”

 

Sharper: “But tonight, Sienna Swann faces Donovan Kayl in our main event. Here we go, live from Detroit!”

 

The bell sounds. Sienna Swann looks at Donovan Kayl as the two circle the ring. Kayl watches him and Sienna stirs before she drops down toward the leg of Kayl. Kayl blocks it and pulls her up and then locks in a side headlock. He pulls back. Sienna reaches around and pulls on Kayl’s hair a bit and gets him back into the ropes. She tries to fire him off, but Kayl blocks it and hits a headlock takedown into a pin.

Sienna rolls over and starts to slowly get her legs under her. Donovan holds on and drags Sienna up her feet. He then spins and pushes her into the ropes and fires her across. Sienna bounces off the ropes and Kayl lifts her up and hits a huge back body drop. Sienna hits the mat and rolls out of the ring. Kayl looks around as the crowd cheers. Sienna backs up to the announce table and smacks it. She walks around as Kayl watches her. (1) She continues to walk around. (2)

 

Sharper: “Kayl wins the first volley and Sienna Swann quickly getting frustrated.”

 

Knots: “She needs to step back and calm down. Take a moment.”

 

Sharper: “Sienna meanwhile is someone that Kayl may have some knowledge of. Some have said she is very reminiscent of Kelcey Wallace, obviously, but also Kennedy Street. Both similar styles, some personality overlap. Kayl having a hand in both Kelcey’s and Kennedy’s development.”

 

Sienna walks over to the ring apron. Kayl stays back and Sienna pulls herself up. She then slowly enters the ring as Kayl watches her. She enters and lunges at Kayl. Kayl ducks a clothesline attempt. Sienna bounces off the ropes and Kayl buries a knee into her midsection. Sienna flips to her back. Kayl jumps up and hits a knee drop. He rolls through and goes for the pin.

Sienna kicks out. Both get up and Kayl grabs Sienna and gets her to the corner and whips her across the ring. Kayl walks after and grabs her and pulls her out. He then hoists her up and goes for a scoop slam, but Sienna spins around and lands behind Kayl. Kayl turns and Sienna forearms him in the jaw and then kicks him in the thigh before nailing him with another forearm. Kayl falls into the corner. Sienna then lunges in, placing her boot on Kayl’s throat and choking him.

Sienna steps off and walks around, posing a bit. Kayl coughs a bit and starts to walk off. Sienna turns and hits a standing dropkick, knocking Kayl down.

 

Sharper: “Nice standing dropkick by Sienna Swann.”

 

Knots: “She’s proven she can hang with virtually anyone. Selena Frost. Kelcey Wallace. Now Donovan Kayl.”

 

Kayl slowly stirs and Sienna drags Kayl up and nailing him with a hard forearm and then another. She turns and runs into the ropes. She bounces off and dives up and hits a spinning heel kick. She turns and goes for the pin.

Kayl kicks out. Sienna turns and Kayl rolls over and stirs and Sienna grabs him and wrenches the arm. She then goes for a back kick. Kayl ducks and spins around Sienna and grabs her and hits a snap back suplex. Sienna winces and turns. She slowly gets up and Kayl turns and grabs her again and hooks her up, hooking her leg and hitting a fisherman’s suplex into a bridge.

Sienna kicks out. Kayl rolls over. Sienna stirs and does the same. Both start to get up.

 

Sharper: “Nearfall. Fisherman’s suplex not enough.”

 

Knots: “Shades of Kelcey Wallace. Only a two though.”

 

Sienna turns to Kayl and Kayl grabs her and knees her in the ribs. He fires her into the ropes. Sienna bounces off and Kayl hits a back elbow. Sienna hits the mat. She rolls over. Kayl then grabs her and pulls her up before placing her head between his legs. He hoists her up and goes for a powerbomb, but Sienna slides down and then nails him with a hard forearm and then a kick to the thigh before a right hand, a left hand and then a spin kick to the head, completing the Angel’s Wrath. Kayl falls over. He starts to get up and turns and Sienna grabs him and promptly hits a DDT. The crowd ohs. Sienna goes for the pin.

Kayl gets his shoulder up. Sienna rolls off. She then looks around and waits as Kayl starts to get up. Kayl turns to her and Sienna hits a straight kick to the jaw. Kayl hits the mat. Sienna then looks around and exits to the apron and climbs up to the top rope. She then looks around as she sets up and dives off and hits the Swann-ton Bomb. She rolls through and turns and dives back onto him.

 

Sharper: “Swann-ton Bomb. All the weight across the chest of Kayl!”

 

Knots: “Beautifully hit…wait…perfectly hit!”

 

Sharper: “The cover!”

Kayl shoots his shoulder up. Sienna rolls off. She then gets up and turns to Kayl and grabs him and starts to pull him up and knees her in the chest and then again. She then grabs Kayl and places her leg across the back of Kayl’s head. She looks around before Kayl suddenly hoists her up and hits a sitout powerbomb.

Sienna kicks out. Both get up and Kayl nails her with a clothesline. The crowd cheers. Sienna slowly gets up and turns and Kayl kicks her in the ribs and hits a vertical suplex. Sienna rolls over and Kayl kicks her in the ribs. He looks around when the crowd starts to boo. He then grabs Sienna and hooks her up in a front face lock. He looks around and hoists her up and throws her forward and runs into the ropes, before stopping and walking past Sienna as we see Syren and CHBK coming to the ring. Kayl walks over to the ropes and Syren runs to the ropes and hops onto the apron. The referee tells her to get down. Kayl snaps at her to get down and CHBK starts to pull Syren down too and Kayl backs up. We then see Kennedy Street and Amy Chastaine running out from the back as the crowd roars.

 

Sharper: “Syren and CHBK out here.”

 

Knots: “Where’s Ravyn? Where is she?”

 

Sharper: “Great point, but here comes Kennedy and Amy who were watching!”

 

CHBK turns and Syren turns and Kennedy lunges at Syren and Syren nails her with a forearm. Kennedy forearms her back. Amy nails CHBK with a shot and CHBK guides her away from the entrance way and towards the barricade as Amy nails him a few times and he gets a knee shot in. Kennedy and Syren trade some blows before Kayl is spun around and Sienna drills him with the Kiss of an Angel. Kayl drops to the mat. Sienna goes for the pin.

The bell sounds and the crowd boos. Sienna rolls off and looks around.

 

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Sienna Swann!”

 

Kennedy nails Syren again and Syren rakes her eyes as Amy kicks CHBK in the ribs and CHBK staggers back. We then see Ravyn Taylor getting held back by Christy Matthews in the crowd. The crowd roars as we see some security guards in the crowd, trying to get them apart.

 

Sharper: “Sienna Swann takes advantage, but she’s looking around too.”

 

Knots: “There’s Ravyn! In the crowd!”

 

Sharper: “Christy Matthews stopping her. Christy Matthews must have overheard something or figured something. She’s known all of their tricks since the Infamous days and again playing a roll tonight in ruining Ravyn’s night!”

 

Knots: “Ravyn was going to get into the ring to go after Kayl or Sienna!”

 

Sienna smirks as she rolls out of the ring and backs up. We then see Amy nailing CHBK as Syren turns and runs over and nails Amy from behind. She then turns and sees Kayl down and goes to enter the ring, but Kennedy turns and rolls in. Syren then turns and backs up only for Amy to quickly roll into the ring as well. Syren throws her arms up as CHBK turns and holds her back from the ring. The crowd roars as Kennedy stands in the ring with Kayl as Amy backs up too. Sienna walks around the ring and quickly makes her exit.

 

Sharper: “Syren, CHBK and Ravyn, they were going to make a statement to their potential World Title opponents, but Christy breaking that up.”

 

Knots: “But Sienna took out Kayl. Getting the win!”

 

Sharper: “What’s going to happen next week? Will El Cielo show up? Will Syren get added?’

 

Knots: “What about what Bree walked off about happy. She’s missing all the fun tonight!”

 

Sharper: “And it’s going to only get tougher. We’ll see you next week on Breakdown!”

 

Syren keeps looking in the ring as Kennedy dares her to end. CHBK keeps holding her back as Ravyn and Christy are separated in the crowd…
