We then see a shot of Katie Steward holding the Women’s Championship before cutting to a shot of Selena Frost hitting Vixen Cain with the Defying Gravity at Supreme Saturday: Just Desserts.

LAST WEEK:

We open up with a shot of Lucas Knight walking up to his and Dave’s house with Chris Cannon.

Cannon: “You don’t have to do this mate, you know that don’t you?”

Lucas: “Of course I do, you see what they did to Dave, to Peyton, what they tried with you last week and that nonsense. I said this is going to end.”

Cannon: “It isn’t your fight though.”

Lucas: “They made it my fight when that tart started talking about my family, I'm sick of all this  chaos going on in SCW right now. Don’t worry, I'll leave some for you.”

We then cut to see Lucas Knight entering inside. Shots follow of Minerva diving on top of Lucas Knight, catching him offguard. Following this are shots of Minerva trying to hit Lucas with a piece of lumber, but missing, Lucas and Minerva driving each other through drywall, Lucas trying to slam a fridge door on Minerva, before Minerva hits Lucas with a glass, causing it to shatter. Shots follow of Minerva biting Lucas before showing Minerva hitting Lucas with a 2x4. Following this, we see Lucas attempting to hit Minerva with a pole before hitting a beam. We then hear the sound of a blowtorch before showing it in Minerva’s hand. Before cutting to Lucas kicking Minerva and the blowtorch hitting the floor. We then cut to snap cuts of the fire growing, the cameraman dropping the camera and then a shot outside of the building, the fire growing. Cannon screams at Security.

Cannon: “Bloody do something, they’re in there!!!”

Chris tries to push past Security but has no luck until the sound of engines revving up can be heard, to the right a series of pickup trucks begin to pull in which gets most of the security quartet's attention now. There is one guard now focusing on Cannon however but Chris cold clocks him with a stiff right hand knocking them to the ground which gets a roar from the crowd. He then pushes past and runs towards the burning building and bursts through the door and disappears into the smoke.

Sharper: “Chris what are you doing?! CHRIS STOP!”

Knots: “OH MY GOD, HE’S GONE IN?!”

We then cut to see security stopping people pulling up in a pickup truck from stepping further as sirens are heard. This fades to black.

AFTER THE SHOW:

We cut to see Chris Cannon coughing as he falls to a knee. The camera turns to show Lucas Knight behind him as EMTs run over to check on him as we see fire fighters starting to try to put out the blaze. Chris glances behind him as Minerva is in a heap and he gets up before we hear yelling. Chris starts to get up and turns as we see a man in a Jackal mask nail him with a hard right. Chris falls to the ground, holding his jaw and coughing. The camera turns showing several other individuals with Jackal masks behind the one who struck Chris. That man takes off his mask, revealing themselves to be Drake Hemingway.

Drake: “Foolish move…should’ve let her burn…she’ll only come for more!”

Drake steps back and drops the mask down again. He then extends his arms as he turns and points to Minerva. The Jackals then head over to Minerva and slowly start to pull her up, dragging her off as Chris looks at Drake, uncertain of what to think.

The opening bars of “The Old Me” by Memphis May Fire play as the Breakdown logo flies across the screen.

Shots of Syren celebrating with the World Championship start before we see a shot of the Minerva with Konrad Raab standing tall in the ring. Following this is Cid Turner punching CHBK in the concourse. Katie Steward hitting the Save the Queen on Ace Marshall follows.

Chris Cannon spearing Kennedy Street and Owen Cruze follows before we see a shot of Gavin Taylor on his way to the ring, and then a shot of Regan Street and Datura swinging chairs at one another. The Breakdown logo comes up on the screen and remains on it for a few moments.

We then cut to a live shot of the inside of the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, North Carolina. The cameras pan across the crowd for a few moments.

Sharper: “In the hotbed of the Mid-Atlantic, Breakdown is live on the air. And we have a lot of questions, Jon!”

Knots: “Questions. Who the hell were the Jackal people? We heard about a group called the Jackals last year. This them? Drake Hemingway also watching…what is going on there?!”

The cameras pan the crowd a bit longer, showing some more fans before cutting to the ringside area where Adam Sharper and Jonathan Knots sit.

Sharper: “Adam Sharper here with Jonathan Knots and last week was one of the damnedest things I’ve seen. Fortunately, outside of some smoke inhalation, all are safe. Everyone was able to get free.”

Knots: “But if Minerva and Lucas Knight went this far, what will Chris Cannon and Minerva do at Rise to Greatness?!”

Sharper: “And that’s just one question we have. But tonight, is a big night for a number of people heading to Rise to Greatness. Several huge matches, Jon.”

Knots: “Damn right. Cid Turner is going to face Xander Valentine. Syren faces Holly Adams. Selena Frost facing Jordan Majors and Ace Marshall facing Glory Braddock. You want to see the best wrestling in the world. That’s a potential Rise to Greatness card right there. And damn it, we’re just over three weeks from Rise to Greatness XVIII!”

Sharper: “And we’re just getting started. TV title on the line too. And much, much more-“

We then see Giovanni Aries staggering out from the back, in his fur coat, laughing as he has a brown paper bag in his hand. He comes forward and over to the rampway.

Sharper: “What the hell is he doing here?”

Knots: “He went shopping it looks like it!”

Sharper: “Giovanni Aries coming out here and I don’t like this. We’re supposed to be seeing in-ring action to kick us off.”

Giovanni Aries moves to the rampway and rolls onto it and gets up. He then steps forward and stumbles forward and falls to the ring, back first. He looks up and looks around before then rolling into the ring. He then places the bag on the mat before heading over to the corner. He doesn’t even ask, just dropping down to the floor and going over to Phillips and grabbing him and throwing him down before grabbing a microphone.

Giovanni: “No one is going to stop me tonight!”

The crowd roars as some boo, some cheer.

Knots: “Great from one crazy situation to one crazy person!”

Sharper: “Giovanni Aries hijacking this program to start us off tonight!”

Giovanni rolls into the ring and gets up.

Giovanni: “We just saw the footage…Another great decision by our Lizard King. The man who couldn’t even handle being in this ring for longer than ONE MINUTE.”

Giovanni chuckles as he looks around.

Giovanni: “I told you I’m pressing forward…you’re not running and you don’t want me to get more desperate. DO YOU?!”

Giovanni looks around.

Giovanni: “Three individuals, all idiots, wanting this and you saw the dollar signs. Now they’re not even battling for your trinkets but notoriety as you define it. Lucas Knight almost dies…GOOD FOR BUSINESS….Chris Cannon wants to play Superman. You’ll start printing the shirts.”

Sharper: “We should note Lucas Knight wanted the match and Minerva obliged. Under Mr. D’s objections. He agreed out of respect for David Helms and later Lucas Knight.”

Knots: “That doesn’t matter. Giovanni is like Owen Cruze. Someone willingly does it, they were tricked. Easier than realizing you’re BENEFITTING. Gio’s drawing a bonus from his matches, aint he?”

Sharper: “I assume he was.”

Giovanni paces as he then turns to the fans.

Giovanni: “But that’s fine. You’ll all lap it up. You want to see your heroes rise up and your villains fall and if it shortens a career, so be it. If it entertains you simple people for a moment. You could be constantly entertained in the Wonderland but you won’t open your eyes…and so I’m here to close them for good.”

Giovanni turns to the camera.

Giovanni: “The blood will at some point not flow anymore. Caesar will watch his coliseum dry up. But not because people don’t line up…the sheep always will. No, LIZARD KING…it will dry up because I will destroy the Lizard Kingdom BY MY HANDS…Rise to Greatness…I said I would…and you don’t seem to take it seriously.”

Giovanni looks at the camera, now starting to laugh.

Giovanni: “So time to make you realize how serious I am…”

Giovanni then turns and pulls his coat off and throws it down. He then turns and grabs the bag he brought. He then turns back to the middle of the ring, kneeling next to the coat and grabbing the microphone.

Giovanni: “And when you do, you can go down in flames just like you do to so many others…literately….or figuratively!”

Giovanni then turns and reaches into the bag and pulls out a bottle of lighter fluid. He then turns and starts to squeeze the bottle, expelling the contents all over his coat before then getting up and spinning around in a circle. The crowd roars, trying to make sense of this.

Knots: “He’s dousing the ring in lighter fluid!”

Sharper: “Get security out here. Get this crazed son of a bitch out of here!”

Giovanni keeps squeezing before he throws the bottle down and pulls out a zippo lighter from his bag and reaches in and grabs a cigarette before throwing the bag on his coat and then lighting his cigarette. He then smiles as he steps back and throws the lit zippo down on the fur coat. It quickly goes ablaze as we see security rushing the ring from the back, before we cut to the ground to see one guard pulled away by two others, revealing Cain Adams serving as a guard to prevent security from reaching the ring fast enough from the crowd, and the same to Alice Ames on the other side.

Sharper: “My God! He’s set the ring on fire! And the Wonderland…Adams and Ames…they were running interference!”

Knots: “This was planned. This is sick! Look at him!”

Giovanni is laughing as he takes a drag of his cigarette before security pulls him out of the ring and they promptly restrain him as we see several crew members running down to the ring with fire extinguishers. The fire continues to spread to where Giovanni spread the lighter fluid. The crew members start to spray the extinguisher contents on the ring and the coat, bag and whatever else. Giovanni is pulled up and dragged back. He keeps yelling.

Giovanni: “Going to take this seriously. I have more aces up my sleeve! I’m not going to fail this time!”

Giovanni yells out as he’s dragged back as Cain and Alice start to be restrained by security too.

Giovanni: “DEATH TO THE LIZARD KINGDOM!”

Sharper: “This is nuts! Giovanni Aries just tried to set fire to the ring-“

Knots: “With all of us here. Thank God security was able to figure this out fast enough.”

Sharper: “And the crew for putting it out. My God…”

Giovanni continues to be dragged off as crew members keep spraying at the fire, making sure it’s out as officials now are at ringside too, trying to control the situation.

Sharper: “We’re going to get this under control and SCW will be back after this.”

The camera remains on the ring for a few moments as the scene cuts away.

COMMERCIALS

Breakdown returns with a close up shot of the ring, showing several scorch marks and parts where the ring canvas had been set on fire.

Sharper: “Welcome back to Breakdown. There you see the ring damage caused by Giovanni Aries and his stunt.”

Knots: “Seemingly inspired by the House Rules match and the blaze that was set there.”

Sharper: “We’re not giving any more airtime to Giovanni Aries. He, Cain and Alice have been escorted out as a result of this. We’ve been told local police may be involved. But that’s to this stun all to get Mr. D’s attention. To prove he should take him seriously-“

Knots: “Who wasn’t taking him seriously? The man is not all there!”

Sharper: “We know that Jon, but Mr. D is trying to run this company. Not deal with one individual whose time on this roster may be coming to an end. But thanks to this, we’re now trying to scramble here.”

Crew members start to undo the ring skirt to get to the canvas, trying to start the repairs.

Knots: “Yeah. We’re fixing the ring. Replacing the canvas and hoping there’s no damage to the wood beneath.”

Sharper: “While this is going on, Jessica Winters is backstage. Jessica, I’m sorry, we’re trying to figure this out, who are you with?”

The scene cuts backstage as Jessica Winters is standing with Xander Valentine. Artemis is in the background.

Jessica: “Thank you Adam. Yes, I’m with Xander Valentine. I noticed him backstage here with Artemis and last week, we found out that you’ll be one of four individuals facing each other in an elimination match for the SCW United States Championship. It’s what you wanted, but we also heard from others. Glory, it’s a new challenge. Christy, it’s the final title before she’s a Supreme Champion. Gavin…he talked about he survived you-“

Xander: “Why does he keep prattling on about that…”

Xander sighs.

Xander: “I have made a career of intimidation…I won’t deny. But him surviving me is nothing to be proud of. Beating me, sure. At least that I can respect. But after I beat him, I remember…he ran. But he also represents what I was in a time where I wasn’t sure what I could be. After I had injured Regan…after I let my destruction of others…”

Xander pauses as he looks down. After a moment, he turns back to Jessica.

Xander: “I may be SCW’s Executioner, but I am no longer proud of the legacy of bodies I have left in my wake. I don’t know if I will ever surpass it. I don’t know if I will ever be better than it. Should James Evans return from injury, I don’t know if I won’t return to that person with the hatred I have for him. But too many innocents…and by innocent I mean those who simply stepped up to the challenge…too many I have shortened if not ended this career. Even tonight, Cid Turner…I’ve heard from shouting fans how they hope I end his career. Angry at what he’s done…even I was angry at what and Asher have gloated. Asher could have ended Syren’s career. And for what? He was angry.”

Xander sighs.

Xander: “Tonight as in Rise to Greatness, I aim not to injure. I am to show my dominance in another way. Competitors will fear me not for the potential end to their careers, the loss of money for their families, but for my competitive drive…it’s the least I can do to salvage my decades in this sport…even if it may be too late for the critics.”

Xander turns to Artemis before turning and stepping away from Jessica.

Jessica: “Thank you for your time Xander, especially on short notice. Adam?”

The scene cuts to the ringside area as we see the ring crew frantically trying to roll a new canvas up on the ring, moving the old one back but we see Shilo Valiant walking down to the ring, the SCW Adrenaline Championship around his waist. He looks around.

Sharper: “Thank you Jessica…Shilo Valiant is now out here at ringside.”

Knots: “Maybe he’s lost.”

Sharper: “Or he’s admiring handiwork? I don’t know.”

Shilo Valiant walks over to the ring as the crowd roars a bit. Some cheer him, some boo him as he walks around the ring. He then sees the microphone left in the ring next to the ring. He grabs it and taps it before a crew member takes it from him. Shilo just smirks before stepping back and looking around and then heading over to Jason Phillips.

Sharper: “I don’t know why he’s out here.”

Knots: “Again – we sure he’s not lost. I mean the backstage area is pretty big!”

Shilo then walks over and asks for a microphone. Phillips obliges, not wanting to be roughed up again and Shilo takes it and looks at the ring.

Shilo: “I’ve heard of burning it up in the ring before, but never like this.”

The crowd roars a bit. Shilo walks over to the ring and a crew member moves in front of him.

Shilo: “Hey! Watch it. I still am a Hall of Famer, you know.”

Shilo looks around.

Shilo: “Guess some people forget that sometimes you need to leave it all in the ring. I mean I did for over a decade and even if I’ve been slapped in the face at times, I never tried to set it on fire. I did bring a crocodile to the ring once…”

Shilo shakes his head as he walks around the ring.

Shilo: “Well I’ll give you something to watch right now because frankly, we don’t need to see these people do their job because one nutjob came in with some fire and went too far.”

Shilo stops and touches his face.

Shilo: “I know some of that personally…”

Shilo looks around as he then walks over to one of the cameramen at ringside, pulling him over. The camera angle changes to him.

Shilo: “Whatever. SCW….D….enjoy the spotlight on me for a bit, while we get this back going, because I have a few things to say.”

Shilo then takes his title off and holds it up.

Shilo: “See, this is supposed to be the Adrenaline Championship. A title I won for the first time a few months ago. SCW didn’t care. Forgot to point it out. Make it a big deal, but I did and let’s face it, this…and entertainment. IT WAS RIGHT THERE!”

Shilo smirks.

Shilo: “And last week it was supposed to be there. And you know, as fun as it was to try and take Ace and put him through a table after he made it a sport in the weeks earlier with Doom & Groove, I haven’t cared for it the last couple of weeks. At least last week I broke a streak. Instead, while Datura was coming for me, and looking to prove last year was a fluke, and I stood tall, holding this title, thinking I took her best and proved yet again she wasn’t good enough….after I figured out it was Ace’s ex-wife coming to knock me around because of some SERIOUS unresolved issues. Like come on, Ace, get that figured out…”

Shilo pauses.

Shilo: “Oh wait…it was Lexy. Maybe SHE needs to figure out your unresolved issues. Don’t want you distracted. Too bad, I’m going to have to go through a few people to finish that job, but that’s now on the backburner, because while I have Cassidy Carter as your guard, I have to deal with someone else…”

Shilo takes a deep breath.

Shilo: “Holly Adams…I beat you once and you still won’t shut up. Like seriously! I know you want to go and go and go…you’re the energizer bunny of nothing worthwhile to say, but shut up and move on….but you want to hold my title. Well, for $150 and a photograph, you can come to my signing at the Walmart down the street and get it over with. But instead….nope…NOPE! You had to get involved last week with your crew for whatever show on Channel 9000, the six brain cells or less network…and get involved. And part of me doesn’t care…but part of me cares A LOT.”

Shilo sighs.

Shilo: “I still have pride. I still have pride in being a champion. Sure I made you go through the hoops. But you deserved it. Annoy the annoying person. But then….Datura…she deserved me putting her down MYSELF…and you took that away. And I’m looking at all of this. The Taking Hold of the Flame, the table, Ace, more tables, Holly being annoying, MORE TABLES….and I realized….Rise to Greatness is around the corner.”

Shilo smiles as the crowd roars.

Shilo: “And while some people are fighting in houses, others are listening to friends too much, some people are distracted, I RISE to the God damned occasion at Rise to Greatness and last year, SCW moved on after Aaron Blackbourne beat me…this year….oh no….because I’m going to give them something NO ONE can look away from…and it’s all right there…”

Shilo smiles and chuckles.

Shilo: “Rising….tables….”

Shilo slaps himself in the face.

Shilo: “You want your shot at me Holly. Datura…I want to beat you clean. Let’s up the ante by putting you in something like what gave you your newfound confidence…huh? And Cassidy…you want to get revenge for Ace…Let’s see how they like it when I make you regret it. Put you all in a pot, stir it up, and add me, on the show I thrive…and let’s give them for the Adrenaline Championship….TABLES….LADDERS….and CHAIRS!”

The crowd erupts in cheers. Shilo looks at the camera.

Sharper: “My God!”

Shilo: “Try to stop it from happening D…I’ll give the world a show…I’ll set a fire in that ring and one everyone will remember and to Holly, Datura…and Cassidy, you too. You can stand in for Ace…I vow to put you all through tables before standing on top of that ladder, pulling the Adrenaline Championship down and taking my rightful place on the biggest stage and biggest spotlight!”

Shilo steps back as the crowd cheers. Shilo tosses the microphone to the announce table as “The Man Who Laughs” plays throughout the area.

Sharper: “Talk about a way to distract from what’s in the ring. Shilo Valiant musing aloud and we have Tables, Ladders and Chairs for the Adrenaline Championship at Rise to Greatness!”

Knots: “Datura getting a rematch and a shot at Holly. Shilo’s still focused on Ace, but if he can’t have Ace, he’s got Cassidy Carter who returned. Shilo’s not running from this one. He’s just taken it to a whole new level!”

Sharper: “One of the most destructive matches…the risk/reward…but he said it. Datura…she won the Scaffold Scramble at Retribution. This is like that, but with a whole different set.”

Knots: “Ya think?!”

Shilo walks around the ring as the camera follows him, the ring crew still working in the ring. Shilo throws his arm up and smirks as he walks up the rampway to the back.

The scene cuts backstage to see Cid Turner outside of the arena by the loading bay. In his hand is his cellphone, on speakerphone.

Cid: “Look, I’m not sure about this…I have to get ready to face Xander Valentine and he may be someone who could kill me before I die after what you said-“

Asher: “Cid! Cid!...Big picture here, buddy. It should be arriving soon. Just wait for it, sign for it, and bring it to Syren right before the match. Holly picked it out too. I paid for it, but whatever. Just keep going with your plan. Consider this my way of supporting while here at home. You know…working out and what not.”

Cid: “Of course. You don’t want to atrophy. That would be…uh…bad…I mean, not like I’d know or-“

Asher: “Yeah, so keep watching. Tracking it…should be there soon. Just hold on a bit longer.”

Cid: “Okay, well, he better hurry up. I’d like to make sure I get some stretches in and-“

Asher: “Yeah, yeah. Trust me. This will be worth it!”

Cid: “Thanks, man-“

A click is heard as Cid then smiles before putting the phone in his pocket. He then looks around, gazing around the loading bay.

Sharper: “Asher getting something for Syren…Cid’s waiting.”

Knots: “He’s facing Xander Valentine later. He needs to focus on that. He may not make it to Rise to Greatness otherwise.”

Sharper: “Well as Cid waits, when we return, it looks like the ring crew has fixed the ring. We should be good to go for in-ring action, here on Breakdown!”

The scene fades to black.

COMMERCIALS

Ace Marshall vs. Glory Braddock

An emergency siren begins to go off, as a black and grey TRIGGER WARNING appears on the screen.

"Feed my chaos" begins to play throughout the arena as blue and green strobe lights begin spinning over the arena. The crowd gives mixed reactions, still mostly cheers however as Ace Marshall steps out on stage in a duster looking more fit for the set of Desperado, Lexy Chapel walking up behind him. Standing on stage he throws his arms out boastfully before turning his back to the crowd taking several steps backwards. He casually starts moonwalking down the ramp while making gun motions with his hands, letting them go off with each step up at Lexy.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a twenty minute time limit. First, making his way to the ring, coming in from Las Vegas, Nevada, accompanied by Lexy Chapel, Lexy Chapel presents The One Man Extravaganza, the winner of the 2021 Take Hold of the Flame Battle Royale, Ace Marshall!”

Ace casually leaps up onto the apron before sitting down on the second rope and making a polite gesture for Lexy as she makes her way up the steps. Lexy Chapel claps her hands cheerfully before going over the middle rope. He leans over the top rope and steps in. Going to the center of the ring he smirks before cockily beginning to sensually remove the jacket, letting each sleeve fall from his shoulders down to his elbows, Lexy stepping behind and grabbing it, folding it in half before stepping toward the corner. He removes his shirt that simply reads 'Whoever catches this is an idiot'. Spinning it around over his head he drops it down and grabs the other end of it from behind his back, before grinding it back and forth along his wrestling trunks. He then proceeds to ball it up and throw it into the crowd. Lexy cheers and runs a hand down his abs before lifting both of her arms up to him as if presenting him.

Sharper: “Ace Marshall with a new theme and apparently a lot off his shoulders. Or so we think?”

Knots: “Well Lexy just recruited an unknown tag partner and Ace’s ex to help spread the responsibility. Sound about right? I know I would trust my potentially unbalanced ex to protect me when I’m going for the World Title!”

Sharper: “Lexy means well…we think. She’s got a unique form of managing and right now, she’s got a lot in the works. World Tag Championship, potential World Championship, and we’re going to assume she’s agreeing to the challenge Shilo just put down. Adrenaline title too!”

The first chords of "When Legends Rise" begins to play over the PA system...

Phillips: “His opponent, from London, England, she is The British Bombshell, Glory Braddock!”

Glory Braddock steps out onto the stage, wearing her ring gear consisting of purple spandex pants, boots, and a purple top. She really does look like a million bucks and grins from ear to ear, gazing out at the crowd for a moment before making her way down the entrance ramp.

The British Bombshell steps up the steel steps and then onto the ring apron. She poses momentarily on the apron, allowing people to take snapshots before stepping through the ropes and into the ring.  Once in the ring Glory heads to the center of the ring and poses once more. Then the music dies down slowly...

Sharper: “While a lot of gold could be in the orbit of LexyCorp…or Lexy’s Angels or E-lexy-lent-“

Knots: “What?”

Sharper: “I got a memo with that on it earlier. Anyway, Glory Braddock is awaiting her US Championship shot at Rise to Greatness. A new challenge for her. But a lot in her way there. Xander Valentine, Gavin Taylor and Christy Matthews.”

The bell sounds. Glory looks at Ace as Ace walks out, strutting a bit, before turning to Glory and the two lock up, only for Glory to drop down with a drop toe hold. The crowd cheers as Glory moves into a side headlock. Ace fights and slides out before turning and grabbing Glory by the head. Glory holds on and pushes too and gets free before Ace scrambles up and Glory takes him down with a snap arm drag. Ace rolls through and gets up and Glory kicks him in the ribs. She then wrenches the arm. She goes for a short-arm clothesline, but Ace ducks and both stop. She turns and Ace just muscles up onto his shoulders, but Glory slides down and moves into a headlock. Ace pulls her back to the ropes and fires her off. She bounces off and Ace shoulders her down. He throws his arm up and high-fives the air before turning around as Glory watches him, annoyed.

Sharper: “Ace now taunting Glory Braddock, getting the best of that back and forth to start us off here tonight.”

Knots: “And it was just a shoulder. So maybe Ace is just trying to embrace the freedom. He may not go through a table instantly anymore!”

Ace turns and Glory gets up and quickly hits a double leg takedown. Ace reaches around for the ropes as Glory moves in and tries to grab his head. He swats his way free and both roll away. Both get up and Glory grabs the arm and wrenches it before ducking under into a fireman’s carry takedown. She then moves into a reverse chinlock before then stepping up and going for the Shekinah Glory! The crowd roars as Ace then falls back and bridges up.

Glory kicks out and both roll over and get up and Ace forearms Glory in the jaw. Glory stumbles back to the corner. Ace follows up and forearms her again. He then whips her across the ring. Ace runs after and Glory gets a boot up. Ace staggers back and Glory runs at him, sliding under a clothesline. Ace stops and turns and Glory hits a dropkick to the jaw. She goes for the pin!

Ace kicks out. He rolls over and to the ropes. Glory gets up and runs at him and Ace goes for a back drop.

Sharper: “Ace struggling here as Glory now picking up the pace after just outwrestling him!”

Knots: “Hey, a win against the number one contender is always something you want!”

Glory spins through to the apron. Ace steps forward. Glory springboards to the top rope and Ace just nails her in the stomach. Glory flips forward to the ring. She rolls over and Ace stomps her in the head and then the side before stomping her in the head again. He drags her up and pulls her up before hooking her up and hitting a snap back suplex. He turns for the pin.

Glory kicks out. Glory rolls over and Ace gets up and grabs her. He pulls her up and hits a forearm shiver. Glory falls to the ropes. Ace pushes her against them and then fires her back. Glory bounces off and Ace scoops her up and hits a sidewalk slam. He pulls back on the legs.

Glory kicks out again. She moves to the corner. Ace gets up and grabs her and pulls her up before whipping her across the ring. Glory jumps up and goes to float over and Ace catches her on his shoulder. He turns and Glory then spins through and into a headscissors. Ace rolls through.

Sharper: “Great counter by Braddock! Marshall had taken over, but Glory using her agility!”

Knots: “And you know what. This is a hell of a good test for Ace. Glory’s showcasing some of what we’ve seen Selena do!”

Ace gets up and Glory runs over and hits a spinning heel kick. Ace hits the mat. Glory turns and exits to the apron. She climbs up to the top rope and looks down at Ace before diving off with the London Plunge. The crowd ohs. Glory moves for the pin.

Ace gets his shoulder up. Glory rolls off. Ace starts to stir as Lexy starts to try and get the crowd behind him, but the crowd gives a mixed reaction to Ace as Glory spins Ace around and chops him. The crowd woos. She chops him again. More woos.

Lexy: “Hey! Stop it!”

Glory then grabs Ace and goes to whip him across, but Ace spins through. Glory bounces off and Ace bends over only for Glory to hit a sunset flip.

Ace kicks out. Glory rolls over and gets up and Ace turns and Glory turns to him and kicks him in the ribs. She goes for a DDT, but Ace just lifts her up and back drops her. Glory stirs and gets up only for Ace to kick her in the ribs and hit a double underhook backbreaker. The crowd ohs and Lexy cheers.

Lexy: “Just like you’re gonna do to Selena!”

Lexy woos as the crowd gives a mixed reaction to Lexy’s grandstanding before Ace gets up and exits to the apron. He then climbs up to the top rope. Lexy points to him.

Lexy: “That’s right! Lexy Chapel Presents the Next World Champion!”

Ace dives off and hits Air Marshall onto Glory. He goes for the pin.

Glory gets her shoulder up. Lexy turns and looks on surprised. Ace gets up and grabs Glory and drags her up. He then scoops her up and hits a backbreaker. Glory grimaces in pain as Ace gets up. He looks around and gets up a bit slower as he mutters something to himself before turning and smirking at Glory before running over and hitting a running powerdrive elbow. He goes for another pin.

Glory gets her shoulder up again. Ace rolls off and gets up. He grabs Glory by the hair and starts to lift her up before whipping her into the corner. Ace turns and walks over and grabs Glory and Glory suddenly nails him with a hard right and then another before kicking him in the ribs. Ace staggers back. Glory pulls herself to the middle turnbuckle and then connects with the Prankster’s Paradise!

Sharper: “Glory fighting out of the corner…and Prankster’s Paradise!”

Knots: “Fluid. Ace almost walked into it. And he’s going to have to be ready for some of that quick thinking from Selena!”

Glory turns back and goes for the pin.

Ace shoots his shoulder up. He rolls over as Glory turns and gets up. She turns and grabs at Ace as Lexy climbs up onto the apron. The official turns to her, but just then, we see Gavin Taylor running down from the back. The crowd roars and boos. Glory goes for Lexy before turning and seeing Gavin Taylor as he slides into the ring. Glory turns and stomps him. Gavin rolls away and Glory follows by stomping him again and again. Gavin rolls to the floor. Lexy then drops down as Glory looks at Gavin and then to Lexy before turning around and walking right into the One Eyed Royal. The crowd ohs and some boo as Ace goes for the pin.

Sharper: “Lexy with a distraction! Gavin Taylor in! Ace with the One Eyed Royal!”

Knots: “Look at how quick that was!”

Sharper: “Why then?”

The crowd boos as Ace rolls over. Gavin throws his arms up and jogs around the ring and moves to the rampway. He jogs to the back before turning around. Lexy enters the ring and then walks over and grabs Ace’s arm and raises it over his head. She then hands him the World Tag Team Championship.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Ace Marshall!”

Sharper: “Ace Marshall steals this. I’m not saying he could’ve turned it around, but Lexy Chapel got up on the apron. I think she had a deal with Gavin!”

Knots: “And we can guess why Gavin would come out here!”

Sharper: “Another wrinkle to this and I think Lexy Chapel has another layer to her than we’ve given her credit!”

Knots: “Glory Braddock just got introduced to just that!”

Glory rolls over, holding her jaw. Ace celebrates as the crowd boos him. He drops to the floor as Gavin turns and leaves to the back as the scene fades to black.

COMMERCIALS

BEFORE THE SHOW:

We open to a shot of Jake Starr standing on the stage, wearing one of his special edition Jake Starr t-shirts and jeans. He waves to the crowd before nodding and thanking them before going over to one end and raising his fist in the air.

Sharper: “Before we went on the air tonight, Jake Starr has been at Breakdown events and with him on his retirement tour here, he’s saying goodbye to some fans as he makes final stops.”

Knots: “Yeah and the crowd cheering for him. Some may be happy to see him leave, but they don’t make them like Jake anymore.”

Jake turns and walks across the stage to the other side to again lift his fist in the air, the fans greeting him in kind.

Sharper: “Meanwhile, we’ve been waiting to hear from James Exeter and tonight, James responded with this.”

The Breakdown logo comes up on the screen.

The scene opens up with a shot of a camera looking at the floor. We hear a hiss as Charles, the Komodo Dragon, saunters past.

Exeter: “Not now, Charles-“

The video cuts to show someone carrying the phone at their side, showing the grown, but wind clearly being heard, whistling through the receiver. Another quick cut leads to James Exeter looking at the camera with his face stretched out before doing an exaggerated smile.

Exeter: “Oh…it’s on record!”

The video cuts again to show James Exeter having the self camera on, showing his forehead.

Exeter: “Damn it!”

We then cut to a standing camera with Exeter holding his phone in his hand.

???: “I hate you for this.”

Exeter: “We rolling?”

???: “How do you not know how to use a camera?”

Exeter: “These are skills you lose after not using them. It’s not like riding a bike!”

???: “Just go, I’m recording.”

Exeter: “Oh shit…uh…Hi! Jake! Yeah, I got your note. Or SCW sent it…or the internet. Or the fanboys. There’s a lot of them. Apparently we trended on Twitter! How about that?! We still got it! So uh…you wanna fight? It’s special right. Uh…”

Exeter turns and grabs a piece of paper.

???: “You printed it off?”

Exeter: “Duh!”

Exeter reads it.

Exeter: “Oh shit! You’re retiring! That’s awesome man! Been a hell of a ride and you wanna face me. Even though you ruined by World Championship run. I guess I should turn around and ruin your retirement…Or not. That would be douchey! And I’m not a bitter older person like some people. But uh…yeah, I’ll be there and I’ll be ready to see if I can load up the BEST! SUPERKICK! EVER! I’ll see if I can be EXTRAORDINARY…ONE MORE TIME…and I’ll see if I can give you the send off you deserve. Just sorry man. I’m gonna try to win. You know…being extraordinary and all. So uh…if that’s fine…See you at Rise to Greatness XVIII….BITCH!”

Exeter laughs.

Exeter: “Sorry….couldn’t help it.”

Exeter then drops his phone.

Exeter: “Oh sh-“

The video abruptly ends and the Breakdown logo comes up on the screen.

Sharper: “James Exeter, ladies and gentlemen.”

Knots: “How has he gotten more ridiculous?”

Sharper: “I…I don’t know. But I do know, in the ring, if Exeter and Starr can dig back to who they were, that will be a hell of a match to cap off a career.”

Cornelius Locke Issac Thomas in action

Breakdown returns to the ring to see an older competitor, wearing standard black trucks, black kneepads and white boots.

Phillips: “Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a ten minute time limit. First, already in the ring, from Raleigh, North Carolina, he is The Natural Gary Stevens!”

The crowd cheers a bit as he holds his arm in the air.

Sharper: “This should be a treat. Local legend, Natural Gary Stevens. His best days are behind him, but apparently Cornelius Thomas thinks he can get a good match out of him.”

Knots: “Cornelius Locke Issac Thomas, Sharper. Get it right!”

Phillips: “His opponent-“

Bianca: “Again, again…the disrespect. I’m right here!”

The crowd boos. The lights in the arena suddenly go out. Over the buzzing crowd there’s the low hum of a guitar, slowly building louder. The voice of Bianca Evans is heard.

Bianca: “Ladies and gentlemen…”

The crowd boos at the sound of her voice.

Bianca: “Are you ready for this show to suck a whole lot less?!”

“Black Sheep” by The Clash at Demonhead suddenly kicks in, the bass thumping loudly throughout the arena. The bottom of the stage is softly lit up and strobe lights flash around to reveal just the silhouette of a man in the middle of the stage with his back turned to the ring while the music continues to build.

“Oh yeah?”

He throws one arm out.

“Oh yeah?!”

He throws his other arm out.

“OH YEAH!”

He flexes both arms before spinning around, but the lights and music build both cut out before he reveals himself to the crowd. The bass continues to thump. With each strike of the guitar, the stage briefly lights up, giving us glimpses of the man facing the crowd. Again, the stage lights up in rhythm with the guitar. The man strikes various poses, still obscuring his face. Each flicker of the lights reveal a woman walking towards the man on stage. The arena is fully lit up as the chorus of the song hits and we see both Cornelius Locke Issac Thomas and Bianca Evans standing in the middle of the stage. Cornelius rips open the leather jacket he’s clad in to reveal his toned abs with an arrogant smirk on his face. With great confidence, he starts to make his way down the ramp, Bianca following along with a look of annoyance as she looks out into the crowd.

Phillips: “Making his way to the ring and accompanied by Bianca Evans, hailing from An Alternate Reality Where You Don’t Suck, he is Cornelius Locke Issac Thomas!”

Cornelius stops at the steel steps and looks at the nearby fans with a look of contempt as they continue to boo him. He slowly takes off his leather jacket and hands it to Bianca without even looking at her. Bianca takes it but just drops it to the floor and walks away while Cornelius makes his way up the steps, unaware of Bianca. He steps onto the apron and through the ropes before leaning back against the ropes, testing their elasticity. He walks along the ropes to get to the corner, leaning his back against the turnbuckle as his music begins to fade.

Sharper: “Thomas causing some problems. Injuring Josh Hudson two weeks ago in a moment that was just stunning!”

Knots: “Prevented him from coming out to face Glory Braddock. I’m stunned he went that far.”

Sharper: “Bianca oversaw it. And now, thanks to that, Josh Hudson on the shelf. Believed to be missing Rise to Greatness and potentially longer.”

The bell sounds. Cornelius steps up as he looks at Stevens. The two circle the ring before locking up in the middle of the ring. They push back on one another, both trying to jockey for position, before Stevens drops down and around Cornelius before taking him down with a Greco-Roman throw. Some fans cheer as Stevens moves into a front face lock. Cornelius rolls over and gets free and then turns and grabs the arm and flips over him into an Oklahoma roll.

Stevens kicks out. Both get up and Stevens goes to grab Cornelius, but he drops down around him and grabs Stevens. He then steps forward and hits a leg trip facebuster. Stevens hits the mat. Cornelius then grabs him, pulling him up for a gutwrench and suplexing him over.

Sharper: “Hard suplex and Cornelius Locke Issac Thomas using his youth and talent here.”

Knots: “Yeah and taking advantage of the speed too. He’s just faster.”

Cornelius rolls over and grabs Stevens and drags him up. He then whips him into the ropes. Stevens hits the corner. Cornelius runs after and hits a running jump splash. He then steps back and Stevens staggers out only for Cornelius to slap him in the back of the head and then again before Stevens turns around and lifts Cornelius up and hits an inverted atomic drop. Cornelius winces in pain, looking forward, his knees together and stepping forward, holding himself before jumping up and down before Stevens grabs him and hits a teardrop suplex. The crowd roars. Stevens goes for the pin.

Cornelius shoots his shoulder up. The crowd ohs and Stevens rolls over.

Sharper: “Gary Stevens hit the Naturalplex! He got it, but Cornelius just got his arm up!”

Knots: “And this crowd felt it. We almost saw him have one big win!”

Stevens gets up and grabs Cornelius. He pulls him up and then whips him into the corner. Stevens waits for Cornelius to stagger out and hoists him up, but Cornelius spins through and lands behind him. He then hits him with a snap half nelson suplex. The crowd ohs and Stevens rolls over. He staggers up to his feet and turns to Cornelius who throws him into the ropes. Stevens bounces off and hits the Cancel Culture on the rebound. The crowd ohs and Cornelius turns and hooks the leg.

The crowd roars as Cornelius rolls off and turns. The bell sounds. He then nods before getting up to his feet. The official raises his arm.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Cornelius Locke Issac Thomas!”

The crowd boos a bit as Cornelius pushes away from the official land heads over to Bianca. Bianca nods and turns, showing him her phone. He smiles and drops down to the floor. He then starts to walk around the ring, overly confidence.

Sharper: “Cornelius with an impressive victory. Recovering from that rough middle.”

Knots: “Seems pretty happy!”

Sharper: “Indeed. Strutting like he just won big. Whatever Bianca showed him on her phone made him happy.”

The two continue on their way around the ring before the scene cuts backstage.

Backstage, Gavin Taylor can be seen standing backstage, his eyes darting before turning and walking towards Ace Marshall who is with Lexy Chapel.

Ace: “Uh-“

Lexy steps up and hands out a handful of twenties and a business card.

Lexy: “Thanks!”

Gavin looks at it.

Gavin: “Oh, I won’t need this-“

Lexy: “Just in case Ava can’t get you the sweet deals I could! LexyCorp always looking!”

Gavin: “Either way…don’t need the money too…just-“

Lexy: “A deal was made. Money has changed hands. Thanks for ending it when I decided we needed to protect Ace here.”

Ace shrugs.

Ace: “Sweet. Less work.”

Gavin: “Whatever…I have my own plans with them. Thanks for giving me the opening-“

Gavin turns as Christy Matthews starts to head over to them.

Christy: “Really? This is what you’re doing? So am I next?!”

Gavin: “Hey! It’s just business. I’m just making sure that momentum is on my side! You’ll have to make history another time. RtG is gonna stand for Rise to Gavin!”

Gavin steps back as Christy steps forward with Richter.

Christy: “Should’ve figured you’d be involved in-“

Lexy: “Wanna make a deal-“

Christy: “No!”

Lexy: “Okay, okay….but if you need a manager-“

Christy: “Leave me alone!”

Lexy: “We’re gone.”

Ace just chuckles, almost impressed by Lexy before Lexy grabs her and pulls her away.

COMMERCIALS

We open up inside a massive walk-in closet. Various outfits, for both male and female are hung up. We then cut to the back where we see someone behind an open trunk, the trunk top preventing us from seeing who it is. A feather boa goes flying over, followed by a fake SCW Title, before we see a pair of slippers, a fan, and even a scarf each go flying. We then hear a male laugh. The trunk closes as we see Gavin Taylor smiling. In his hand is the original SCW Canadian Championship. He then looks at it and throws his arms up in the air. He stops for a moment before bringing his arms down.

Gavin: “Feels like these were heavier back in the day….or maybe I just need to get used to doing this more!”

Gavin throws the title up in the air, raising his arms up. He holds the title up and brings it down. He then turns and looks off camera.

Gavin: “Hey Ava! Can you find out if the SCW titles used to be heavier?!”

Gavin walks off camera as the scene goes opaque.

“SCW…we’re really trying to get our message across.”

Pat Evans vs. Tommy Valentine

“Outsider (Rock Version)” plays throughout the arena. The lights dim and fade to black. After a few moments of the opening piano chord being played, a spotlight shines down on Pat Evans as he walks out from the back. The crowd cheers as he makes his way down, but Evans merely ignores their fanfare and walks up to the ring.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a fifteen minute time limit. First, on his way to the ring, from Detroit, Michigan, he is Pat Evans!”

He looks up at it before walking to the steel steps. He then walks along the apron and enters the ring. He takes off his black trenchcoat, placing it on the top rope in the far corner before pacing the ring as his music fades out.

Sharper: “This match has a degree of personal nature to it. We’re going to see Tommy Valentine back in the ring and against the man who injured him.”

Knots: “And we remember how fluid that was. The heel hook, the catch and then that caused the injury. And you don’t forget when a man injures you.”

The arena's lights cut out completely, plunging the whole room into darkness for several seconds before the screens light up to display four words.

HEART FILLED WITH HATE

The screens show static for a few seconds before going dark once more. The black screen starts to pulse now like a heartbeat and on each pulse that reverberates round the arena, a shot of Thomas in various poses is shown before reverting to the words on screen until the next pulse that sounds like a bass drum beat with increasing volume until a final shot of him holding the SCW Title aloft after winning the match at Taking Hold Of The Flame is Shown and remains until two green fireworks shoot from the rafters and explode on the ramp. The explosion drifts across the ramp before the beginning chords to "Cut The Cord" by Shinedown, hits.

A shot of "Thorn" going for the Swanton from the top of a chamber pod at Under Attack 2009 is shown in slow motion as he misses it and hits nothing but canvas. A shot now of him hitting the Socially Unacceptable Moonsault stomp from the top rope onto Justin Davis is shown, the impact punctuated by the last word of the verse before a shadowed figure can be seen standing in front of the curtain at the top of the ramp.

"FREE-DOM LALALALA FREE-DOM FOLLOW ME!"

As the last word echoes, the lights start to strobe again briefly as the song reverbrates throughout the arena now, causing the fans to start jeering, the heat almost palpable in the air.

The lights finally flicker back on and Thomas Valentine can now be seen on top of the arena's ramp as he looks out into the audience that are now booing loudly, chanting obscenities in some cases. He stops and smiles a little before spinning around away from the fans and holding his arms outwards with his palms upwards, he then stops and then shakes his head before smirking and shrugging.

Phillips: “His opponent, from Santa Barbara, California, he is Tommy Valentine!”

Tommy takes a few steps down to the ring as pyro shoots out from the stage. He just smiles as he continues to walk to the ring. Tommy heads toward the ring as Pat Evans then turns around as we see Kandis trying to enter the ring from behind. Pat runs over and kicks at the ropes. Kandis steps back as the crowd roars.

Sharper: “Kandis was going to try and attack Pat Evans from the crowd!”

Knots: “Pat saw it coming. He realized something was off when Tommy was coming out alone.”

Kandis looks at the ring as Tommy runs into the ring. He slides in and Pat turns, only for Tommy to tackle Pat down. The crowd roars as the bell sounds. Pat turns as Tommy nails Pat with a couple of hard shots before Pat tries to block the right hands and even grabs one and tries to move into a submission, but Tommy uses his left to punch Pat in the ribs over and over and then get free. Both get up and Tommy steps up and kicks Pat in the ribs and turns and runs him over to the corner. Pat turns and Tommy leans in and elbows him in the jaw and then again before whipping him across the ring. Pat however spins through and sends Tommy in. Tommy hits the corner and steps out and Pat hits a scoop powerslam.

Sharper: “Evans fighting back. Tommy using his hatred to try and focus in on Pat. Never quite let Pat get his feet set.”

Knots: “And it’s technically two versus one. Pat had to deal with that right off the bat.”

Sharper: “And since Taking Hold of the Flame, the Connection has been growing in confidence, using this new found attention they’ve gotten.”

Pat gets up as Tommy rolls over in pain. He starts to get up and Pat kicks him in the ribs. He pulls him in and hits a snap suplex. He rolls over as Tommy stirs. Pat then turns and goes for the ankle. The crowd roars as Pat lifts up his leg, but Tommy moves to the ropes.

Pat lets go and backs up. Tommy looks at him and starts to get up. He then lunges and goes for Pat, but Pat catches him and knees him in the ribs and then again and again before throwing him into the corner. Pat moves in after, but Tommy rakes the eyes. Pat staggers back and Tommy kicks him in the ribs and hits the Petal of Woe. The crowd boos. Tommy sits up and then starts to get up and grabs Pat. He pulls him up and then drags him over to the ropes nearest Kandis. Kandis looks on as Pat starts to fight and elbows Tommy in the ribs and then again. Tommy stumbles back, nearly falling into the official. Kandis then nails Pat with a hard right. He rolls over as the crowd boos. Pat shakes it off and gets up and turns and Tommy kicks him in the ribs, placing his head between his legs. He turns and hoists him up and hits a crucifix powerbomb. The crowd ohs. Tommy rolls over.

Sharper: “And Tommy with the assist by Kandis! A vicious crucifix powerbomb!”

Knots: “Shades of Pat with that move. Almost like he’s been waiting for this. Studying for this.”

Tommy turns and stomps him in the face before grabbing him by the head and this time, he throws him out of the ring right near Kandis. The official turns and tells Kandis to stay back. Kandis does and Tommy then steps through the ropes to the floor. (1) He grabs Pat and Pat turns and nails him in the ribs and then again before Tommy knees him in the ribs and runs him face first into the ring steps. (2) Pat staggers and falls back before Tommy turns and whips Pat hard shoulder first into the steps. The top half bowls over and Pat winces in pain, clutching at his left arm. (3) Tommy gets up and looks at him and grabs Pat.

Sharper: “Tommy sends Pat hard into the steel steps.”

Knots: “Pat is clutching that arm!”

Tommy then turns and Pat suddenly hits a drop toe hold, sending Tommy into the announce table, face first. Tommy rolls over in pain. (4) Pat then grabs him and drags him up and turns and rolls him into the ring. Pat rolls in after and Tommy gets up, staggering to the middle of the ring when Pat gets up and Tommy turns to him only for Pat to drop down and roll through into the Calf Crusher. The crowd roars as Tommy yells out in pain and reaches for the ropes. Pat was too close to the ropes and Tommy grabs them.

Pat lets go and rolls over. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “The same move that put Tommy on the shelf. But Tommy fell practically into the ropes.”

Knots: “But the fear was there. Pat was testing that injury!”

Pat gets up and Tommy starts to get up and Pat steps forward and grabs him, but Tommy elbows him in the ribs and Pat staggers back and steps forward only for Tommy to dropkick him in the knee. Pat falls into the ropes again. Tommy gets up and staggers forward, falling to a knee and getting the referee’s attention. As the referee checks Tommy, Kandis turns over and drives her SCW Television Championship into the left shoulder of Pat. Pat rolls over in pain. The crowd ohs and boos.

Sharper: “Kandis! Right to the shoulder! Driving that title into the shoulder!”

Knots: “I think Kandis and Tommy Valentine have their own plan!”

Pat starts to get up and holds his shoulder and steps forward, but Tommy recovers and kicks him in the ribs before taking him down by his left arm and locking in the Elitist! The crowd boos as Pat yells out in pain. Tommy keeps pulling back as Pat bites his hand trying to fight through the pain before starting to tap out. The crowd boos as the bell sounds. Tommy, however, keeps the hold on.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via submission, Tommy Valentine!”

Sharper: “Tommy Valentine has made Pat Evans tap, thanks to targeting the shoulder and I think you’re right Jon. They had a plan!”

Knots: “And they’ve not yet executed it! Tommy aint letting go!”

The referee tries to get Tommy off as Tommy keeps pulling back. Pat keeps tapping before starting to grab at the arm, trying, somehow, to get free. The bell sounds again as Tommy keeps pulling back. The crowd boos as Kandis climbs into the ring. The official warns Tommy again as Tommy keeps pulling back still.

Sharper: “Come on! Get him off!”

Knots: “The ref has to reverse this or something. Make it sting!”

Sharper: “I don’t know if that will do anything. Clearly Tommy Valentine wanted to injure Pat Evans!”

The bell sounds again before Tommy finally lets go, satisfied. He then starts to get up as Kandis smiles and raises his arm. The official checks on Pat Evans as Tommy turns and looks at him. He then turns and kisses Kandis as the crowd boos some more. Kandis turns and laughs after the two stand in the ring, jubilant as the scene cuts away.

Backstage, TJ Johnson can be seen standing backstage with Jaina Lancaster. The crowd boos seeing TJ.

Jaina: “TJ, you wanted time, but just you? Not Katie-“

TJ: “Look, I wanted some time, because I think people needed to hear the honest truth. The truth about Katie Steward. Last week, having this…Purity Pixie? That’s her name. Whatever…she comes up and acts like she can judge Katie Steward. No one can judge her. She’s a Goddess. She’s been through it all. People’s jealous. People’s anger. People’s desire to bring her down and she overcomes. She’s won virtually every title. She’s a hero to millions!”

Jaina: “Hero to millions? I can see people could look up to what she’s accomplished-“

TJ: “You don’t be judging her too. She’s done more for this sport, for the WORLD that anyone else here. And I’m not going to hear some nobody like Purity Pixie run her down. So here’s the deal…Katie doesn’t know this, but I want you to come next week and watch Katie in action. What a true hero in action. And you better learn. Because enough is enough. People better start putting Our Goddess of Desire back on a pedestal, you here me? Back to where she belongs…the top. And Purity Pixie, you can be the first…maybe you can take that judgy attitude, check it at the door, and see the truth with your own eyes!”

TJ turns and heads off. Jaina watches him leave before turning to the camera.

Jaina: “A fired up TJ Johnson…Uh…Breakdown returns after this.”

The scene fades to black.

COMMERCIALS

We see a shot of CHBK walking the rope before diving off the top rope and onto Shawn Winters at Rise to Greatness 2006, before cutting to shot of James Evans powerbombing Ace Marshall off the top rope into the barricade at Rise to Greatness 2016, this is followed by a shot of David Helms celebrating his World Championship in the ring with Regan Street and his family, before cutting to show Gigi Steward holding the SCW Women’s Championship in joy.

“This is your SCW Rise to Greatness Recall!”

The Rise to Greatness logo comes up on the screen. We open up in 2011 to see shots of CHBK walking to the ring before cutting to a shot of Jason Zero throwing his arms out as pyro shoots around him.

Phillips: “Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one-fall. If the Canadian Heartbreak Kid wins, Jason Zero can never challenge for the World Championship ever again. If Jason Zero wins, CHBK must retire!”

Sharper: “One is going to end up with the ultimate victory. The win this rivalry. The final win. And on top of that, someone is going to be leaving this ring with their career drastically altered.”

We see a shot of Zero attempting a vaulting press on CHBK, but CHBK moving only to walk into a clothesline. Shots of CHBK hitting a dive through the ropes on Zero follow. Shots of Jason Zero kneeing CHBK in the back before CHBK press slamming Zero off the top, and then showing Zero attempting a spear, but CHBK dodging. Shots of CHBK hitting an elbow drop off the top rope follow, before showing Zero hitting a Samoan drop on CHBK and then hitting a fisherman’s suplex. CHBK is shown kicking out. Following this are shots of Zero hitting a swandive headbutt, followed by showing CHBK driving Zero’s knee into the barricade and then locking in the Figure Four around the ringpost. Zero yelling in pain is heard, before we cut to shots of both CHBK and Zero down on the mat in pain.

Sharper: “The chess game between these two, at a fever pitch!”

We then cut to see Zero hitting the Blarney Stoned in the middle of the ring!

Sharper: “Blarney Stoned! He spiked CHBK in the middle of the ring!”

Kayl: “What? I haven’t seen him use that in years!”

Shots of Zero hitting the Claim to Fame on CHBK, followed by CHBK hitting a running DDT on Zero. Then a pieldriver in the middle of the ring by CHBK on Zero follows with CHBK attempting a pin, but Zero kicks out.

Sharper: “No! Zero kicks out! Oh my! Zero got the shoulder up!”

We then cut to see CHBK attempting a moonsault, only for Zero to dodge and run into the ropes before hitting a spear. The crowd ohs. We then cut to a shot of Zero to walk into a Bittersweet Ending. Shots of CHBK hitting a frog splash before showing Zero attempting the Four Leaf Clover Hold on CHBK, but CHBK gets out, only for Zero to walk into the Bittersweet Ending. The bell is heard as CHBK has his arm raised.

Phillips: “Here is your winner…The Canadian Heartbreak Kid!”

Sharper: “Jason Zero can never challenge for the World Championship again.”

Kayl: “Wow…but what a fight…what a match. I can say every bad thing about both…but in that ring…Wow.”

He just looks down and smirks a bit before turning to Jason Zero. He looks at him before looking down and grabbing Zero and grabbing him by the hand. Jason Zero slowly gets up and looks around and CHBK just looks at Zero and smirks a bit as he shakes Zero’s hand. CHBK then pats him on the back before walking over towards the ropes, but Zero holds on. Zero then slowly pulls himself up to his feet. He then looks CHBK right in the eyes before looking around as CHBK just looks at him and Zero then suddenly grabs him and drops him down with the Chaos Theory! The crowd roars and Zero sits up. He then takes a deep breath and just slowly breathes out before then grabbing CHBK’s hand shaking it himself. He then gets up before walking over to the ropes. He leans on them before taking another deep breath. He then steps through the ropes and drops down to the floor as CHBK remains down in the ring.

Sharper: “It was that smirk. Zero may lose something big…but he just got the last laugh.”

The Rise to Greatness logo comes back up on the screen.

The scene opens up with a panning shot of the crowd.

Sharper: “Just one of the many classics we have seen at Rise to Greatness. An event with some of the greatest rivalries also coming to an end. We’ll still getting a feel for how big Rise to Greatness XVIII will be in just over two weeks. But of course, we’ve heard about one big challenge and Kennedy Street said last week she has a match. And Jonathan Knots awaits in the ring for his wife to explain. Jon?”

The cameras turn to the ring as Jonathan Knots nods.

Knots: “Got it from here Sharper. See, folks, when there’s something really special in the works, you need to make sure that you have the right person on the job and well, the A-Team is right here. That’s right, Jonathan Knots has this scoop. And it’s not just because I’m sleeping with the source!”

The crowd roars.

Knots: “So fans, put your hands together and you better give her the respect she demands….please welcome….The Sexy, Flawless Diva, Hollywood’s Newest Star…Kennedy Street!”

The crowd cheers as "Criticize” by Adelita’s Way plays throughout the arena as Kennedy Street slowly comes out from the back. She stands in the entrance way with her back to the ring, looking down, then up and out into the arena. She looks around and nods before turning to Knots who smiles at her. Kennedy smiles back as she heads to the ring.

Sharper: “We’ve had surprises on the road to Rise to Greatness. James Exeter to return against Jake Starr in his retirement match. We’ll hear from James still tonight. Cassidy Carter returning to serve Lexy Chapel. We know of another new tag partner there. James Evans, Josh Hudson, both injured. Pat Evans potentially. Owen Cruze ducking and running. And Kennedy Street returning too. And she has something in mind.”

Kennedy walks down to the ring and stops at ringside. She looks around as Knots tries to get the crowd to make more noise. Kennedy smiles as she walks over to the steel steps. She steps up them and Knots walks over, holding the ropes open for his bride. Kennedy steps in and Knots gets up. The two kiss briefly as Knots fans himself after as Kennedy Street walks around the ring. The crowd cheers. The music fades out as Kennedy turns and stands next to Jonathan Knots.

Knots: “Kennie…I said a few weeks ago that there’s got to be Many for Kennie. The line of potential options to challenge you. Seems like few had the stones to step up, but Kennedy, I’ve heard your phone. It’s going off the hook-“

Kennedy: “Jonny. I appreciate it. But you don’t have to talk me up. These fans know what I stand for in this ring. And after some of the wars in the past, it’s been some time away. I may have been asking a lot for coming back out of nowhere and asking to challenge someone. Bree was right…and yes, Bree and I, we get along. I did a movie, honey, with Dom…and we cleared the air. And she’s right…people have their own issues.”

Kennedy turns to Knots.

Knots: “But you said you had a match and Kennie, you’ve not even told me.”

Kennedy: “Because we know you’d get offers to spill it. It’s a huge get. A scoop. And well, I figured I’d keep this close to the chest and make sure the contract was signed. Because I heard what Bree said and she was right. And then I realized I still have a few issues of my own. Some unfinished business if you will or actually, just finish things more.”

Kennedy scoffs.

Kennedy: “Still weird to see Syren actually trying to do something right after being a raging bitch for so long. That’s what made me realize some things have changed. One that hasn’t is that if Kennie wants something, she’ll get it and I asked Mr. D for a favour. And I got my match. I got what I want for Rise to Greatness to start my return to the ring right. That’s right, the Sexy, Flawless Diva will be in action at Rise to Greatness….don’t worry about that!”

The crowd cheers some more.

Knots: “So who? Who are you facing?”

Kennedy smirks.

Kennedy: “I’m looking for this. Because at Rise to Greatness…I’m facing Ravyn Taylor!”

The crowd roars. Knots looks a bit confused.

Sharper: “What?! That’s huge! But what about Bree?!”

Kennedy turns back to Knots.

Kennedy: “What better way to return than to kick that scheming bitch’s ass!”

Knots: “Tha-that’s great Kennie. But what about Bree? Bree seemed to be in line to face here. She’s been targeting her after her actions against Ace and potentially throwing the World Title scene again into chaos-“

Kennedy: “Oh Jon…I wouldn’t screw over my new friend. She’s in it too. Triple threat. Three former World Champions…”

Kennedy turns to Jonathan.

Kennedy: “You remember last time I was in a triple threat at Rise to Greatness.”

Knots: “Well yeah, I-“

Kennedy: “So…a flawless way to return if you ask me. And at least there will be honour with between two of us! And Jon…you get to call it all. And all of you…enjoy the show. You’ll be in for one!”

“Criticize” plays again as Kennedy steps back and poses.

Knots: “At Rise to Greatness, Bree Lancaster, Kennedy Street and Ravyn Taylor in a triple threat match. Talk about a big return and Ravyn Taylor may be in trouble.”

Sharper: “Knots saying it. But I’m surprised by this. Kennedy making sure she gets a big match, but what is Bree Lancaster going to think. A few months ago, I can tell you exactly what!”

Kennedy remains in the ring, posing as Knots turns and shows her off. Kennedy laughs as she enjoys the moment with her husband.

“The Old Me” starts to play as the Breakdown logo comes up on the screen and we see a shot of Holly Adams vs. Syren follow.

Sharper: “Well next, Holly Adams will face her former friend, Syren, in singles action. Syren’s first in ring competition since Asher Hayes piledrove her. And what is Cid Turner waiting for…that match is next!”

The scene fades to black.

COMMERCIALS

Breakdown returns with Kennedy Street walking backstage, proud of herself. She then smiles as she takes a few more steps and Bree Lancaster is waiting for her.

Bree: “If you wanted Ravyn, you just had to ask. I know you and her have had a long history-“

Kennedy holds her hand up.

Kennedy: “Relax, Bree. This is good for us. You have someone watching your back in the ring, same for me. And Ravyn, we know she’s going to just do what she wants. So she can. It’s all legal. One of us can beat her on her terms.”

Bree: “Well…I guess I see it. Next time, mind letting me know? I’ve been used the last couple of months of having to fight alone…also seeing a lot of selfish people.

Kennedy: “Owen?”

Bree laughs a bit as Kennedy does too.

Kennedy: “Always knew he was a little sh….well you know.”

Bree: “Still…I got a bit used to this all. Just like you weren’t used to how things changed.”

Kennedy: “Of course, honey. Didn’t mean to muscle in. But I just saw it all…our new friendship, Ravyn…triple threat…Rise to Greatness. It’s fate after all. Too much coincidence!”

Bree: “Just don’t be upset if I happen to take the win.”

Bree chuckles a bit. Kennedy smiles.

Kennedy: “Deal, only if you do the same. I don’t plan to lose my return.”

Bree: “Noted.”

Kennedy turns and heads off. Bree watches her leave, thinking to herself. She shakes her head and walks off.

"W Face," By Kumi Koda kicks in full force around the arena as the stage comes into focus. Holly Adams steps up onto the stage, spinning into place at the top of the ramp. Holly poses with her hand on her hip and her other hand high in the air as she pageant waves to the booing crowd. 

Holly starts her walk down to the ring, continuing her pageant wave, with a large smile on her face as the crowd continues to jeer. She stops halfway down the ramp and puts both hands on her chest thanking a fan for their "adoration," for her. She smiles before continuing down the ramp. She walks to the other side of the ramp, pretending to put her hands out to high five and immediately pulls them away and goes back to pageant waving. 

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a thirty minute time limit. First, on her way to the ring, from Los Angeles, California, she is Holly Adams!”

As she comes around the corner, she hops up onto the ring apron. Holly starts to sing along with her theme song, looking directly into the camera closest to her. She gives a million-dollar smile before putting her hand on the camera and pushing it away and she gets into the ring. Holly then grabs the top rope, bends down, and then snaps back quickly, flipping her blonde hair over her head, smiling brightly for the cameras. As she takes her place in the ring, she starts her pageant wave once again as her music dies down.

Sharper: “Holly Adams about to face her former friend, but there’s something else at work here. Holly had some idea. Asher paid for it. And we’re still waiting to see what it may be.”

Knots: “So is Cid. And that’s hurting his prep time. They care more about Syren, than Cid surviving. But then again, they’re probably also doing what they care most about, not what works for Cid!”

Sharper: “And we should stress – we’ve also not even heard Holly speak on Shilo Valiant’s challenge earlier!”

The opening of “Groupie” by Cassie Steele hits the PA system. The crowd cheers as we cut to the stage as Syren walks out from the back, wearing her ring jacket. She then looks around the arena and stretches out her neck a bit. She stops at the middle of the stage and looks down at the ring. She turns her back to the camera and poses, psyching herself up before turning and starting to head to the ring.

Phillips: “Her opponent, from Los Angeles, California, she is Syren!”

Syren spins back around again before looking over her shoulder. She then walks down the rampway. Holly watches her as Syren keeps her eye on the ring too. She then reaches the ring before going over to the steps and walking up them. She steps between the ropes before Syren climbs the turnbuckles and points to herself confidently. She takes her jacket off and tosses it to ringside. She hops down as Holly has stepped forward. Syren turns to her as the crowd roars.

Sharper: “Holly confronting Syren to start. And remember, Holly left Infamous to side with Cid Turner and Asher Hayes at Retribution.”

Knots: “Felt she’d have a bigger role. And Holly Adams cares about her role!”

Sharper: “Life coaching too, apparently. But right now, Syren may be thinking back to that and the year these two have had.”

Knots: “Maybe Holly is offering Syren her services!”

The bell sounds and Syren forearms Holly in the jaw. The crowd roars. Syren nails Holly again and then a third time before Syren pushes her to the ropes and fires her across. Holly bounces off and Syren hits a hip toss. Holly gets up and turns to the corner and Syren follows up and forearms her again and again and again.

Syren steps back and gives the break. Holly holds her jaw, holding a hand out as Syren turns back and goes after her and grabs her and whips her across the ring. Holly hits the corner and comes out and Syren hits a back drop. The crowd cheers.

Sharper: “Syren all over Holly! Holly was not expecting her former friend to come out swinging!”

Knots: “As far as Syren feels, Holly is helping the man who tried to end her career!”

Holly rolls over and gets up and Syren clotheslines her down. Holly gets back up and turns to the ropes. Syren turns and runs at her and clotheslines her up and over the top rope to the floor. Syren then spins around and lets out a yell as the crowd roars. Holly rolls over in front of the announce table. (1)

Sharper: “And Holly sent up and over to the floor right in front of us!”

Knots: “Syren did not hold up one bit until this point! If I’m Holly, maybe I just walk away. Let Cid know good luck at Rise to Greatness!”

Syren turns to head after Holly when we hear the sound of honking. The crowd buzzes and Syren turns as we cut to the floor by the stage to see a shot of a hot pink convertible being driven by Cid Turner. A bow is on the hood of the car. Cid just half-heartedly waves as he drives the car forward. Syren turns and walks over to the ropes by the entrance way, confused.

Sharper: “What in the world…is…that’s a hot pink convertible….it’s hideous!”

Knots: “It’s got a bow on it. I think Asher bought this for Cid to give to Syren as a gift.”

Sharper: “To continue this ruse that Cid’s apparently a part of, but something off about that car.”

Cid moves a bit around in the car as Holly runs up behind Syren and rolls her up.

Syren kicks out. The crowd ohs. Syren turns and gets up and Holly forearms her in the jaw and then kicks her in the ribs before grabbing her by the hair and throwing her down with a mat slam. The crowd ohs. Cid then stops and stands up, looking in the ring. Syren starts to get up by the ropes and Holly kicks her in the ribs and then again and again. The crowd boos. The referee calls for a break, but Holly instead whips Syren across the ring. Syren bounces off and Holly clotheslines her down. She then sees Cid and gives him a thumbs up. Cid looks a bit confused as Holly turns back as Syren starts to get up and Holly grabs her and hits a Russian leg sweep. She rolls through for the pin.

Syren kicks out. Holly rolls off. She gets up as Syren stirs. Holly grabs Syren, but Syren counters with a jawbreaker.

Sharper: “Holly taking advantage of this distraction by Cid Turner. I don’t get this. This is a bit over the top.”

Knots: “It’s Asher Hayes. Probably just flashing things around to get under Syren’s skin, knowing she can’t touch him.”

Sharper: “Well that may change next week. Asher Hayes’s suspension clears next Monday.”

Holly catches herself and Syren runs forward and clotheslines her down. She glances at Cid who perks up a bit before Syren turns and grabs Holly. She scoops her up and slams her down. She then hits a Blonde Satisfaction. She goes for the pin.

Holly kicks out. As this happens, we then see a camera crew walking out and starting to set up next to the car. Cid notices them, turning to them.

Cid: “Hey! What are you doing?”

Cid looks at them as they ignore him. In the ring, Syren throws Holly into the corner. She grabs her and places her on the top turnbuckle. Syren then forearms her in the jaw and climbs up to the middle turnbuckle. Holly, however, nails her with a hard right and then another before bending Syren over and hitting a sunset flip into a powerbomb. The crowd ohs. She plants Syren and then folds her over for the pin.

Syren kicks out, just in time.

Sharper: “Near fall! I thought that may be it.”

Knots: “Holly did too. And we got a camera crew being set up next to Cid and Cid even doesn’t know why.”

Sharper: “I think we can guess. Holly Adams has been milking her time on the Real Housewives. She’s probably getting more footage. Why not?”

Knots: “Help Cid get under Syren’s skin and Holly can have some added content!”

Sharper: “Not to mention the free advertisement for her life coaching!”

Syren rolls over and Holly gets up and grabs her. She scoops her up and slams her down. Holly then looks at the crowd as they boo. She runs into the ropes, bounces off and hits a running elbow drop. She goes for the pin.

Syren kicks out. She turns and Holly grabs her. Holly then pulls her up and whips her into the ropes. Syren bounces off and Holly goes to lift her up, but Syren spins through, lands behind Holly. Holly turns around and Syren jumps up and hits the Golden Blonde. The crowd cheers. Holly rolls over, holding her gut in pain.

Sharper: “Syren drives her knees into Holly. And an opportunity to bounce back here.”

Knots: “Yeah, but she needs to get it done.”

Cid starts to beep the horn again and Syren turns back as she shakes her head. She turns over to Holly. Cid then exits the car and starts to walk forward. Syren grabs Holly and Holly grabs her and tries to throw her out of the ring, but Syren spins through and sends Holly out. Syren then turns and drops down to the floor. (1) She walks over and grabs Holly and clubs her in the back. (2) She then grabs her and runs her into the steel steps. (3) Holly falls over as Cid walks to the ring. Syren notices him. (4) Cid just puts his hands up and Syren sees him and walks around the steel steps and starts to go after him. (5) Cid backs up, his arms up.

Cid: “Hey! I’m innocent! Just a gift! Just sor-“

Syren however nails him with a hard right. (6) The crowd ohs. Syren nails him again. (7) Syren then kicks him in the ribs and then again and again. (8) She glances at him.

Syren: “You’re asking to for me to do everything to destroy you at Rise to Greatness!”

Syren backs up. (9) Holly rolls into the ring as Syren then looks up and turns back to the ring. (10) The referee turns and calls for the bell. Syren just looks down, hands on her hips before turning around.

Sharper: “Syren’s been counted out!”

Knots: “You’d be looking for revenge against Cid if you know the man who nearly ended your career is sending him after you!”

Sharper: “Well looks like she’s going to focus on Cid again!”

Cid starts to get up and Syren runs over to him and nails him with a forearm shot and then another before kicking him in the ribs. Syren then rears back and goes to nail Cid, but Cid blocks it and holds his hand up.

Cid: “Hey! I’m not Asher-“

Syren kicks him again. Cid grimaces and Syren then goes for a Total Makeover on the ramp, but Cid shoves her back. Holly then runs up behind, having left the ring and nails Syren as she turns around with a clothesline. The crowd ohs. Cid then turns and looks at Syren. Holly then turns and motions to him. Cid then walks over and grabs Syren and then scoops her up as Syren holds her head. The crowd looks on as Cid looks at her, almost concerned, before starting to walk over to the side of the ramp. Holly moves to the car as Cid carries Syren over.

Sharper: “Holly now from behind and Cid…he’s carrying her over.”

Knots: “Carrying her like he’s saving her from a situation. That’s just weird.”

Sharper: “Not dragging her. Cid…I don’t know what to make of this.”

Cid then places Syren down on her feet and she turns, but Holly then runs up behind Cid and Syren and shoves Syren back. Cid ends up falling forward and STO’ing Syren into the hood of the car. The crowd ohs. Syren rolls over and holds her lower back. She slowly gets up on the hood, more just to get up and Holly smiles as she points to Cid and Cid turns to Holly.

Cid: “What? This was your idea. Yours and Ashers”

Holly: “Fine! Life coaching for free!”

Syren starts to get up and Cid turns only for Syren to kick him in the chest. Syren then turns as Holly jumps up on the car and grabs Syren’s head and drives her face first into the windshield, causing it to shatter. The crowd ohs as Syren turns and falls back to the windshield, clearly cut from the glass over her eye.

Sharper: “Oh God! Holly drove Syren through the windshield!”

Knots: “This was just a ploy for an attack. A distraction and attack. Cid assisting the whole way!”

Sharper: “Cid’s almost stunned by how harsh Holly was.”

Cid looks on, his arms up and Holly turns to her camera team.

Holly: “Got it?”

One of them nod before Holly high-fives Cid. Cid then snaps out of his stunned silence and turns to Holly.

Cid: “What did you do?”

Holly: “Just sent a message not to mess with us. Threaten Asher. Threaten us. You finish the job at Rise to Greatness! Don’t screw it up!”

Cid looks at Syren who rolls over, blood coming down her face and even dripping back into her hair as she leans back. Officials run out to check on her as the crowd looks on buzzing and booing. Holly smiles and walks off as Cid gulps. He then backs up and turns and starts to jog to the back. The scene focuses on Syren as she starts to get checked out by the officials and the scene fades to black.

COMMERCIALS

The arena goes dark, the sounds of “Blood, Milk & Sky” by White Zombie plays, echoing when a lone spotlight is shown. The crowd boos loudly before we see a piece of burnt lumber thrown into the middle of the spotlight. The crowd boos some more. A few moments pass before Minerva steps out from the back. She glances back as Konrad Raab crawls out next to her and Minerva bends over and says something to him before Konrad goes over to the burnt lumber. He takes it, cradling it with his hand as Minerva glances back again and Drake Hemingway walks forward, wearing a Jackal mask. The crowd boos some more.

Sharper: “We’ve been waiting for when we would hear from Minerva. But now we have a further surprise. Drake Hemingway seen at the top of the hour on the aftermath. He’s here with Minerva.”

Knots: “And where’s Kandis and Tommy. Or are they waiting backstage. They’ve been already busy tonight.”

Sharper: “The Jackals, it seems, that is who they are and Minerva…she’s not exuding her sexuality as she has. She’s all business.”

Minerva heads to the ring, leading Konrad as Drake Hemingway follows after. The crowd boos the trio before they reach the ring. Minerva then jerks on the chain holding Konrad as he turns and throws the lumber into the ring. Konrad then crawls up the steps and into the ring. Minerva follows as Drake stops her and looks at her. Minerva nods as she enters the ring. Drake then follows up after, entering the ring. Konrad then goes over to the lumber as Minerva steps over him, just looking at it. Drake walks over and demands a microphone. Phillips takes too long, and Drake grabs him by the cuff and pulls him in, saying something to him before pulling the microphone away. He then turns and walks over to the middle of the ring. Minerva immediately takes the microphone. The crowd boos. The music fades out.

Minerva: “You know Chris…you make me sick.”

The crowd boos.

Minerva: “You had what you wanted…Lucas managed to actually not come up short for once and in one moment, you could’ve had the perfect revenge. And you save me…”

Minerva scoffs. Konrad just glares through his mask. Minerva turns and grabs the burnt lumber.

Minerva: “I could’ve been like this…my personal reminder…you actually saved me.”

Minerva smirks, shaking her head.

Minerva: “It will be the biggest mistake you ever made. Superman Lives…I’ve heard people say. No, Superman is a fool. And Superman coming out there to save me…people talking about how it was the right thing to do. No…the right thing to do is to teach people humility. To remind people of their limits. What I have done since day one! Why Konrad is next to me like this…I control EVERYTHING about him. Why the Jackals are here. We are here to explore EVERYONE’s limits….and I have to come to terms with…”

Minerva holds up the lumber before throwing it down.

Minerva: “With this. Well, Chris, there will be no thank you. There will be nothing of the sort. I intended to make you watch as Lucas Knight would fall at my hands and I’d make Peyton Rice’s destruction look like child’s play.”

Sharper: “Minerva angry at Chris helping her.”

Knots: “The question is whether Chris was helping her. Helping Lucas sure. But Minerva? Or was that to make sure he kept his match at Rise to Greatness. His chance at revenge!”

Minerva pauses as Drake stops and grabs the microphone. Minerva looks to him. Drake shakes his head and Drake takes the microphone. Minerva looks at the lumber before taking a deep breath.

Drake: “This close…your recklessness got you this close to throwing out plans into chaos. But they didn’t. And Chris Cannon instead made sure they still can go forward. As I told you last week, you should have let her burn. And instead, she will burn you at Rise to Greatness. The Jackals have come and we are taking what we want. We started with Peyton Rice. Sure, it was petty. But that means nothing to us. Was she deserving? Oh yes…Just as Tommy got his revenge tonight…and Kandis is getting her spotlight…”

Drake turns to Konrad and kicks him.

Drake: “Even he…he will get what he demands.”

Drake turns.

Drake: “And Chris…you will fail. Because now Minerva doesn’t just want your mind…she wants your head-“

The opening guitar to “Prometheus” by Audio Machine plays as Chris Cannon storms out from the back, microphone in his hand as Lucas Knight runs out behind him and stops him. The crowd roars as Chris steps a bit forward, only again for Lucas to move with him and stop him.

Drake: “Come on Chris!”

Lucas: “No…you already rushed in last week…not again…”

Chris: “It’s different-“

Lucas: “Bloody hell not.”

Chris steps forward, bringing the microphone to his mouth.

Chris: “The fact that you’re out pissed off because I saved your life shows me just how pathetic you are. How warped you are. While some people want to see the world burn, I’ve been on that side. I’ve been on the side of spite for too long. Pardon me for not wanting to see people die because this has already gone too God damned far!”

Drake: “Consequences Chris…just the consequences for your actions.”

Chris: “Just like Rise to Greatness will see Minerva suffer the consequences for her actions!”

The crowd roars.

Chris: “Don’t think you’re the only one going to be angry at Rise to Greatness. But last week or not, too far or not, I am still coming right for you!”

The crowd cheers as Minerva steps forward, grabbing the microphone.

Minerva: “So did you save me because it was right or because you wanted your precious revenge!”

Chris: “Does it matter?”

Drake pulls the microphone back.

Drake: “No, Chris. And don’t worry. I’ll be there to watch this all first hand…as all the Jackals will-“

Lucas then steps forward and takes the microphone from Chris.

Lucas: “Oh no…we’re not doing this. And I’m not going to watch Chris come out and screw this up, trying to fight the world. If we’re going to start talking about seconds and these Jackals. I aint going to let you have any scraps to come after. Drake…you better be ready to get your hands dirty too.”

Drake smiles. Minerva then steps up to Konrad and jerks on him to get up. Konrad gets up. Minerva turns to Drake and grabs the microphone.

Minerva: “Then why wait.”

Chris hears that and immediately starts to head to the ring. The crowd roars as Lucas then throws his arms up before following after Chris too. The crowd roars as they reach the ring. Drake steps back, ready to fight, joining Minerva. Minerva grabs the burnt lumber and throws it at them. Chris blocks it and goes to run into the ring, but officials run out from the back and manage to stop Chris or Lucas from getting to the ring. The crowd boos loudly.

Sharper: “Chris and Lucas were ready. The tenor has changed in this one. Drake, Minerva and Raab ready too!”

Knots: “SCW isn’t. They’re not going to let this one go to far again tonight. Not after last week!”

Sharper: “Officials breaking them up!”

The crowd starts to chant “Let them fight!” as Chris and Lucas keep trying to get to the ring. Minerva just glares at Chris while Drake calmly stands next to her. Konrad is at the ropes, yelling at Chris and Lucas as the scene fades to black.

COMMERCIALS

Backstage, we see Holly Adams with her camera crew. They are filming her as she sits on a stool in front of a black backdrop. She’s in mid-confessional.

Holly: “…She held me back. Just a way to remind her. The era of Cidnay and Asher…especially Asher is here. Especially when he gets in with well...don’t want to jinx it. But gotta help him out as I can’t afford Syren losing it on Asher, the champion of the future, when he returns. Just like I gotta focus on the Adrenaline Title. And now it’s going to be over a ring. Like why would that be good? Why can’t he just face me one on one. He knows he’d lose. This is the hardship of professional-“

Just then, we see Datura walking over, coffee in her hand. She smirks and heads over.

Datura: “Hey Holly!”

Datura steps up and throws the coffee in Holly’s face. Holly falls off the stool and down to the floor.

Datura: “Just bringing you a delivery!”

Datura then runs over and stomps her in the face and then the ribs before grabbing her and spinning her around and throwing her into the backdrop. The backdrop falls onto Holly as Datura backs up.

Datura: “Getting off easy tonight…I’m getting the Adrenaline Title at Rise to Greatness…”

Datura turns to Adams’s camera crew.

Datura: “Reality television…”

Datura rolls her eyes and walks off.

Brandi Lynn Tucker vs. Crystal Zdunich

The arena fades to black as the screen lights up and we are treated to an old school movie countdown image.

THE SILVER SCREEN QUEEN IS HERE!!!!

“I’m Coming Out” by Diana Ross begins to blast all across the speakers and as that happens we are able to see Crystal Zdunich emerging through the backstage curtain, greeted by cheers. Crystal smiles as her grouping of paparazzi gather up in front of the ring and they snag photo after of the Latina beauty. She walks down the ramp.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a fifteen minute time limit. First, from Los Angeles, California, she is the Silver Screen Queen, Crystal Zdunich!”

Her following of paparazzi meet her as does a red carpet. She takes in appeal of the cameras smiling as flashes begin to go off one after another. She then runs up the steps where she walks towards the middle of the apron. She blows kisses out to the crowd before dropping into a split entering the ring. She pops back up doing a hair flip as she waits for the match to begin.

Sharper: “Crystal Zdunich had a rough return two weeks ago on Breakdown. Had a good showing against Derek Adonis, but that didn’t matter. Her opponent tonight stepped in and wanted to make an impact.”

Knots: “And she knocked the holy hell out of Derek Adonis! BLT, Brandi Lynn Tucker!”

“White Trash Millionaire” by Black Stone Cherry rings out across the arena as Brandi Lynn Tucker stomps out on stage with a determined look on her face. She has a bottle of beer in her right hand as she takes one last swing of beer. She throws the bottle aside, wipes her mouth, and storms toward the ring as she hypes herself up along the way.

Phillips: “Her opponent, from Pearl, Mississippi, she is Brandi Lynn Tucker!”

She plays to the crowd before sliding in the ring. She climbs the corner and hypes herself up along with the crowd. 

Sharper: “She’s a bit different folks. Comes in with a desire to fight and an attitude to match.”

Knots: “Maybe a breath of fresh air. Something different.”

Sharper: “Don’t think she’ll be joining Kennie on the movie circuit.”

Knots: “I don’t think so. No!”

Sharper: “Should be a unique clash of styles here though. The brawler in Brandi Lynn Tucker; the technically sound and agile Crystal Zdunich.”

The bell sounds. BLT steps forward, her hands up, ready to fight as Crystal sizes her up. BLT then steps forward and jabs with her left before going for a right hook, but Crystal ducks and moves around BLT before taking her down with a double leg takedown. BLT falls forward and Crystal dives forward and grabs her with a side headlock. BLT fights and manages to get free before sliding out and Crystal rolls over. BLT gets up and lunges and Crystal ducks under before running into the ropes. BLT steps up and Crystal slides under a hard right before jumping up and hitting a dropkick to BLT as she turns around. BLT rolls over, smacking the mat before turning and going for Crystal and swinging, but Crystal ducks under and rolls her up in a school boy.

BLT kicks out. Both get up and Crystal grabs BLT only for her to nail her in the ribs with a couple of hard right hands.

Sharper: “Zdunich showing her experience, trying to outwrestle Tucker, but Brandi Tucker fighting back!”

Knots: “And this is the thing – BLT probably has experience. It’s just not been in the ring!”

Tucker pushes her back and then goes for a shoulder thrust to the ribs and then another before grabbing her and throwing her down to the mat by the hair. Crystal turns and looks at her as BLT steps forward and grabs her, but Zdunich kicks her in the ribs from her back and then again before rolling back. BLT steps forward and Zdunich jumps up and snaps her over with a frankensteiner. The crowd ohs. Zdunich goes for the pin.

BLT kicks out. BLT rolls over and starts to get up and Zdunich gets up and grabs her. She then runs her over to the corner. Zdunich kicks her in the ribs and then again before going to whip her across the ring. BLT hits the corner. Zdunich runs out, but BLT runs out and lifts Zdunich up and then just tackles her down. The crowd roars.

Sharper: “Tucker with a hell of a tackle and again, just hammering away!”

Knots: “Zdunich may have speed, but you can’t do much when you’ve been taken down out of your boots!”

Zdunich covers up as BLT hits a couple more hard rights and rolls off. She then steps up and watches Zdunich as she gets up and BLT hits a right hand to the ribs before turning and grabbing Zdunich and hitting a bulldog. She rolls her over and covers her.

Zdunich kicks out. She rolls over, but BLT grabs her and drives her face first into the mat and then again before grabbing Zdunich and pulling her up and running her down to the corner, driving her face first into the top turnbuckle. Zdunich turns and BLT looks at her and kicks her in the ribs and then again and again and again, mudhole stomping her in the corner.

Sharper: “The crowd behind Brandi Lynn Tucker as she tees off on Crystal Zdunich!”

Knots: “Trying to see if she can drive her boot right through her!”

Sharper: “Zdunich covering up. This is not how we thought this match would go!”

BLT keeps stomping.

BLT steps back and stomps around the ring. Zdunich starts to pull herself up and BLT runs after, but Zdunich moves out of the way. BLT hits chest first. She turns around and Zdunich runs into the ropes, bounces off and BLT scoops her up, but Zdunich spins through and grabs BLT’s head and drives her into the mat with a DDT. The crowd ohs and Zdunich looks up and rolls over. BLT remains down and Zdunich runs into the ropes, bouncing off and hitting the Smell the Roses. She hooks the leg.

BLT kicks out.

Sharper: “Nearfall as Zdunich goes to the well. Hitting those high agility moves. The Smell the Roses only getting two.”

Knots: “Guarantee BLT never saw that in whatever bar she fought in.”

BLT rolls over and Zdunich grabs her and pulls her up. She chops her. The crowd woos. She then kicks her in the ribs and then whips her into the ropes. BLT falls to the ropes, and grabs them. Zdunich runs after, but BLT moves out of the way and Zdunich hits chest first and turns and walks right into a hard right hand by BLT. Zdunich hits the mat. She winces, holding her jaw, starting to get up only to walk into the Eviction Notice. The crowd ohs. Zdunich hits them at. BLT drops down for the pin.

The crowd roars. The bell sounds.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Brandi Lynn Tucker!”

BLT gets up and has her arm raised. She pulls away and throws her arm in the air separately and walks around the ring. Zdunich turns, rolling over, almost stunned.

Sharper: “And Tucker with a successful debut here on Breakdown!”

Knots: “She beat Zdunich! Talk about getting notice! Knocks out Adonis and then beats a former TV Champion!”

Sharper: “In a handful of weeks, she’s doing just that. And a lot of people have to be watching.”

BLT exits the ring and throws her arm up again before heading to the back.

Backstage, we see Lucas Knight stepping out of one of the locker rooms. He lets out a sigh as he steps forward and we see Bree Lancaster walking over to Lucas.

Lucas: “Oh Bree…he’s fine…just-“

Bree: “He’s riled. I know. I saw.”

Lucas: “You know you don’t need to check on him. I’ve got him back down.”

Bree: “Yeah, but I told Sienna I’d be an option if he’s here.”

Lucas: “Well-“

Lucas feels his phone vibrate. He then pulls out his phone and looks at it. He then scoffs.

Bree: “What?”

Lucas: “Looks like SCW realizes this is boiling over. They’ve offered a tag match. Raab and Minerva against me and Chris. He’s torn between doing this right and doing this-

Bree: “I’ll take his spot.”

Lucas: “What? Do you know what you’re getting into?”

Bree: “Yeah, I do.”

Lucas: “You sure?”

Bree sighs.

Bree: “Yeah…I could blow off some steam. Plus, Minerva at times reminds me of Ravyn. Being in the ring with someone like that…”

Lucas: “She could cost this all and Kennedy may be a friend now, but she’s also wanting to return with a win-“

Bree: “I won’t worry about that and Kennedy…if she’s worried. She can watch our back. The group of us…this weird family we’re all becoming. We can all watch each other. More people should. Sienna and I watched each other’s backs…why not all of us.”

Lucas: “I’ll see what we can do.”

The scene cuts away.

COMMERCIALS

Backstage, BLT is seen walking down the hallway after her back and we see Bianca Evans standing and waiting for you.

Bianca: “Hey! You! Someone important is talking here.”

BLT stops and looks at her.

BLT: “Oh yeah. Some cocktail waitress lost her tip and you’re comin’ here. Just because ya tall and thin doesn’t mean y’all can yell at me.”

Bianca: “I’m trying to help you.”

BLT: “Please talkin’ that way usually don’t.”

Bianca: “God people are so stupid.”

BLT steps forward.

BLT: “Wanna settle this then?”

Cornelius Locke Issac Thomas starts to clap, the camera turns showing him laying on a foot locker to the side. He gets up.

Cornelius: “I think she’s perfect. Get the match signed. Got the intensity we need for a classic…and I should be able to carry you to something memorable. Better than Hudson who had to screw it all up.”

BLT: “The hell you on?”

Cornelius walks off as Bianca just does too, saying nothing else.

BLT: “Hey! I’m talkin’ to ya. What the hell does that mean? I aint some sideshow!”

BLT continues to look on confused as the scene cuts away.

Selena Frost vs. Jordan Majors

The lights go down and then red lights blink on the stage as “Warrior” by Stitched Up Heart begins to play.

Warrior… Warrior…
I’m… I’m a…
Warrior… Warrior…
I’m… I’m a Warrior!

A spotlight shines on the center of the stage to show Jordan Majors from behind, arms outstretched. She turns around right as the guitar riffs and pumps a fist with a smile across her face. She looks out at the crowd and nods a few times before she begins walking down the ramp.

Phillips: “The following contest is a non-title match, scheduled for onefall with a thirty minute time limit. First, on her way to the ring, from Chicago, Illinois, she is Jordan Majors!”

Jordan keeps her eyes on the ring as she heads down the rampway. She gets to the bottom of the ramp and surveys the crowd once more before running and sliding into the ring. She stays on her stomach. She leans on her elbows and kicks her feet behind her before rolling to her feet.  Jordan runs and jumps up on the nearest corner and puts one arm up as she looks out at the crowd and nods her head.

Sharper: “Jordan Majors with a massive opportunity here. She’s even said that to those backstage. Talk about a way to immediately set yourself up well. She’s got Nicole Kinneck at Rise to Greatness. But tonight, beating the World Champion in non-title action…”

Knots: “You want those big wins. But you have to wonder if Nicole is still in her head. She was not ready for what she saw from Nicole Kinneck last week!”

BELIEVE IT!

The SCW Universe are on their feet as “Kings and Queens” by Ava Max as plays throughout the arena, snow “falling” along the electronic floor and screens as, out from the back walks the Snow Queen, Selena Frost, taking in the crowd of the SCW Universe. The SCW World Championship sits around her waist. Deanna Frost walks out with her. The two look out at the crowd.

Slowly, Selena shifts her head, her sapphire eyes locked towards the ring as she lifts her front hand gracefully, extending it towards the ring, palm upward, her back arm lifted behind her to the sky. With a lift of her right foot, she suddenly slams it down into the ground, causing a crack like ice to form and sprint down the ramp and towards the ring.

Phillips: “Her opponent, on her way to the ring, accompanied by Deanna Frost, from Nome, Alaska, she is the SCW World Champion, the Snow Queen, Selena Frost!”

Reaching the ring, Selena slides under the ropes to enter it. She gets up and lifts her hand up to give a twirl as the lights form to make a massive snowflake under her. Stopping her spin and lowering her hand back down, towards the audience, once again palm upright, a smirk graces her lips, her other arm lifting to the sky once more. With a slam of her foot, Selena caused the snowflake at her feet to “crack” as the rampway did, the shards of ice streaking out to all four corners of the ring to shoot out blue sparkles of light as the lights return to normal. She looks around as the crowd roars. Deanna Frost walks around the ring, settling in Selena’s corner. Selena hands her the World Title for safe-keeping.

Sharper: “Selena Frost meanwhile hoping to maintain her high-level competition tonight. Jordan Majors is a threat. Be sure about it. This is a trap match in many ways for her.”

Knots: “A loss here and everything can get cloudy. Especially after earlier tonight with Ace picking up the win. No distractions there.”

Jordan and Selena step up and look at one another as the crowd roars. Selena extends her hand for a handshake, but Jordan slaps it away.

Sharper: “And Jordan dialed in. That’s not disrespect. That’s Jordan making clear to Selena that this is a big opportunity for her!”

Knots: “And we’re seeing that more and more from Jordan. She’s knowing she needs to start getting over that hump!”

The crowd roars as Selena nods and then the two lock up in a collar and elbow tie-up in the middle of the ring. They push back on one another and Jordan starts to push Selena back. The crowd roars. Selena gets to the ropes. She turns and pushes Jordan against the ropes and Jordan spins through and gets Selena along the ropes before both push each other to the ropes and then through them, both falling to the floor. The crowd cheers. Both get up and Selena forearms Jordan with a shot and Jordan fires back with one of her own. The crowd roars as they trade blows, the official counting. (1) Selena then hits a thigh kick to Jordan. (2) Jordan winces and Selena pushes her back with her boot. (3) Selena steps back and runs at Jordan. Jordan launches her up and Selena lands on the ring apron. (4) She stops and turns and Jordan hits a shoot kick to the shin and Selena hops over and enters the ring. (5) Jordan slides in as Selena runs across the ring and Jordan gets up and goes for a clothesline. Selena ducks and bounces off the other side. Jordan turns and Selena jumps up for a crossbody, but Jordan rolls through into a pin.

Selena kicks out. Both get up and Jordan goes for a spin kick to the head. Selena ducks and then rolls forward and looks at Jordan as the crowd roars.

Sharper: “And that’s what we were looking forward to!”

Knots: “Back and forth and Jordan tried to take Selena’s head off right there!”

Sharper: “Selena had it scouted, but the intensity is high in this one!”

Selena then gets up and goes for a grapple. Majors meets her and the two push back on one another before Majors ducks down and around. Selena tries to block it and goes for an elbow before then bending over and reaching up, but Majors forearms her in the back. Selena spins around and Majors grabs her arm and attempts a short-arm clothesline. Selena ducks under and runs to the ropes. Majors turns and Selena jumps to the middle rope and hits a springboard back elbow. The crowd cheers. Selena goes for the pin.

Jordan kicks out. Both women get up and Selena hits a chop. The crowd woos. She forearms her and pushes her to the ropes. She then fires her off. Majors bounces off and Selena goes for a spinning crescent kick. Jordan ducks under and bounces off the other side. She jumps up for a crossbody. Selena ducks. Jordan hits the mat and rolls through to the apron. Selena gets up and runs over and forearms her in the jaw. She then turns and jumps to the middle rope and jumps up, wrapping her legs around Jordan’s head before dropping down, causing Majors to go throat first into the top rope. Jordan falls back, holding her throat and rolls to the floor.

Sharper: “Hell of a move as Selena using the ring to her advantage.”

Knots: “Even getting Majors a bit off there. Maybe thinking frankensteiner and Selena went a different way.”

Majors spins around, coughing. (1) She recovers and turns as Selena runs across the ring, bounces off and then dives through the ropes, taking Majors down with a pescado. The crowd cheers as Selena rolls through. (1)

Sharper: “High risk! Through the ropes! Right on Majors!”

Knots: “Just set her up perfectly for that and Selena made sure to get it all.”

Selena turns and starts to get up as Majors rolls over and winces. (2) Selena walks over and grabs Jordan. She drags her up. (3) Selena then runs her over to the ring, rolling her in. Majors rolls through and Selena slides in. Majors gets up and Selena runs over and hits a clothesline. She turn and hooks the leg.

Majors kicks out. The crowd looks on as Majors rolls over. Selena gets up. Majors stirs and Selena drags her up and chops her again. More woos come from the crowd. Selena whips Majors across the ring. Selena bends over to back drop her, but Majors jumps up and backflips down Selena’s back. Selena turns and Majors kicks her in the ribs and then hits a thigh kick before jumping up with an enziguri kick to the side of the head. The crowd ohs as Selena hits the mat.

Sharper: “Majors showing how lethal she can be with her kicks!”

Knots: “We always talk about Selena’s kicks, but Majors can throw them too!”

Selena stirs and Majors rolls her over and hooks the leg.

Selena kicks out. Majors rolls off as Selena stirs. She moves to the corner and Majors walks over and knees Selena in the ribs. She then whips her across. Selena hits the opposite corner. Majors runs over and nails her with a running clothesline in the corner. Majors staggers back as Selena steps forward. Majors grabs her and hits a side belly to belly suplex before hooking the leg.

Selena gets her shoulder up. Majors turns and starts to get up. Selena stirs as Majors turns and runs into the ropes. She bounces off and goes for a running punt. Selena however blocks it and then pulls her leg up. Majors hops on the other one and Selena steps through then into a spinning heel kick to the jaw.

Sharper: “Selena caught Jordan maybe trying to end it early!”

Knots: “Taking a page out of David Helms’s playbook. That punt and Selena would have that scouted.”

Majors rolls over and Selena gets up. Majors gets to her feet and Selena hits a straight kick to the ribs. Selena then pulls her in and hits a snap suplex. Selena rolls over as Majors rolls over, holding her lower back. She gets up and Selena hits a shoot kick to the chest. Majors falls to the ropes. Selena grabs her and whips her across. Majors bounces off and Selena jumps up and takes Majors down with a hurricanrana!

Majors kicks out. Both get up and Majors turns and Selena kicks her in the ribs. She hooks her up and goes for another vertical suplex, but Majors spins through and lands behind Selena. She runs Selena to the ropes before pulling her back with a roll-up.

Selena kicks out. Both women get up and Selena turns to Majors but Majors scoops her up and places her on the top rope in the tree of woe. Majors then kicks her in the ribs and then again before jumping up to the middle rope and jumping up and hitting a double stomp to the chest. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “Majors off the ropes. All of her weight down on the chest of Selena!”

Knots: “Not like you can take that or land well. And Selena better be careful. She’s going hard. An injury here and everything is for not!”

Majors turns and drags Selena out of the corner. She goes for the pin.

Selena gets her shoulder up. Majors turns and starts to get up and turns to Selena. She pulls her up and then whips her into the corner. Majors runs after and Selena gets a boot up. Selena then turns and kicks Majors in the ribs again. Selena winces, but Majors kicks her in the ribs. She then hoists Selena Frost up on the top rope. The crowd roars. Jordan forearms Selena in the jaw and then climbs up to the middle rope. She gets up to the top, but Selena blocks it and then again before pushing her off. Jordan hits the mat. Selena then turns on the top rope and hits a rounding splash onto Jordan. The crowd ohs. Selena turns and hooks the leg.

Jordan shoots her shoulder up. Selena falls back. The crowd ohs. Selena turns and starts to get up. Majors rolls over and moves to the ropes. She starts to get up and Selena walks over and clubs her in the back and then again.

Sharper: “Majors kicking out. She’s not going to stay down. We talked about how much of an opportunity this is!”

Knots: “This is turning into a match both may be going too hard in. Rise to Greatness only a few weeks away!”

Sharper: “No one worth their salt half asses it in SCW!”

Selena spins Majors around and whips her across the ring. Majors bounces off and Selena hits a spinning heel kick on the rebound. She turns and hooks the leg.

Majors pushes her off and rolls over. Selena starts to get up and pulls her up to her feet before hooking her head. She then knees her in the ribs. Selena runs into the ropes, bouncing off and suddenly Majors hits a superkick on the rebound. Selena falls to the mat as the crowd ohs. Jordan falls to her hands and knees. Selena rolls over, holding her jaw. She starts to slowly stir.

Sharper: “And a superkick. Caught it right how you wanted. Selena dropped, but you can see how much Jordan has had taken out of her.”

Knots: “But she’s getting up! She’s getting up!”

Majors gets up and falls into the ropes. She bounces off as Selena gets up and hits a running boot to the face. Selena hits the mat. Majors goes for the pin.

Selena gets her shoulder up. Both stirs and Majors runs into the ropes, bounces off, running past Selena and bouncing off the other side before nailing Selena with a running clothesline. The crowd ohs as Selena hits hard. Majors falls to the ropes and leans on the middle rope. She looks out at the crowd as the crowd roars. She looks around before the crowd roars more and we see Nicole Kinneck crawling out from under the ring. She looks around as the crowd continues to cheer. Majors turns and then notices her before Nicole runs over and smiles before booping her on the nose. Majors pulls back and looks at Nicole as the crowd cheers for her.

Sharper: “Nicole booping Jordan Majors!”

Knots: “And Majors trying real hard not to lose it here!”

Nicole hears the cheers before Majors turns and rubs her nose before turning to Selena to Selena who is getting up. Selena points to Nicole. Majors glances at Nicole who just smiles and waves before Majors turns and swings, nailing Selena with a hard right. Selena staggers back and then nails Majors with a shot. The crowd roars.

Sharper: “Selena gave Jordan a chance to recover. But Jordan and Selena trading blows.”

Majors fires back; Selena responses. They trade a couple more shots before Majors knees Selena in the ribs. She runs into the ropes and bounces off and Selena hits a straight kick. She runs into the ropes, bouncing off and Majors jumps up for the Cash Out, but Selena blocks it and sends Majors into the ropes. Majors bounces off and runs right into the Glass Shard. The crowd ohs. Selena drops down and goes for the pin.

The crowd roars as Selena rolls off. The bell sounds.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Selena Frost!”

Sharper: “And Majors walked into a superkick of Selena’s! The Glass Shard and that gets three!”

Knots: “Just like that…Selena reminding how devastating she can be in one shot. And Majors out like that!”

Selena gets up as Nicole looks in the ring, concerned. She then looks around before dropping down and looking under the ring. She grabs a steel chair and rolls into the ring as Selena has her arm raised. She turns and walks around the ring. Deanna then points out Nicole getting the chair. Nicole gets up and then looks at Selena before waving and smiling before looking at the chair. She shakes her head no before unfolding it and placing it next to Majors. Selena looks at her as Nicole smiles before turning to Majors. She starts to check on her as Selena slowly exits the ring, still watching Nicole before starting to head around the ring.

Sharper: “Selena concerned over Jordan Majors and with Nicole Kinneck, that may be there.”

Knots: “Looks like Ducky is in firm control though and apparently feels bad or something.”

Sharper: “Trying to help Majors up.”

Nicole slowly pulls Majors up as Majors holds her jaw in pain, trying to come to terms with what’s going on. Nicole gets Majors up to her feet and Majors notices it’s Nicole and Nicole smiles, but Majors suddenly jumps up and hits the Cash Out, driving Nicole face first into the seat of the chair. Nicole rolls to her back, sprawled eagle and seemingly out. Majors sits next to Nicole as the crowd ohs as some of the crowd cheers, while others boo.

Sharper: “Jordan Majors hits the Cash Out on Nicole!”

Knots: “She realized it was Nicole helping her up and just like Nicole snapped last week. Jordan Majors isn’t going to take the chance!”

Sharper: “And right into the chair too!”

Majors sits next to the chair before turning and looking at Nicole. She then slowly gets up and looks down at her as Nicole remains down. She looks out at the crowd as the crowd gives a mixed reaction and the scene cuts away.

COMMERCIALS

Backstage, we see Cid Turner pacing as he has his phone at his ear.

Cid: “Come on…come on…”

Cid paces and he looks relieved.

Cid: “Asher…what the hell?!”

We can faintly hear Asher.

Cid: “No it wasn’t awesome. She’s going to kill me!”

Cid sighs back and forth.

Cid: “Look, I know you’re looking to help me here, but there’s more to this. Okay? More than just destiny, or fate, or standing up for you….Syren…she’s special…she’s….something else to me.”

Cid pauses as Asher presumably talking on the other end.

Cid: “Ah…uh….no…just….let me figure this out. Okay…I know how important this is. Us together…at this stage….okay…just…yeah….”

Cid hangs up and runs his hand down his face.

Sharper: “Cid actually a bit upset with Asher.”

Knots: “Maybe there some of the nice guy in there still.”

Cid looks around.

Cid: “I gotta survive Xander first. Oh God…”

Cid turns and heads off as the scene fades out.

Autumn Valentine vs. Kandis

A woman’s voice can be heard shouting three letters as the video screens display them in sync.

“Miss Nothing” by The Pretty Reckless hits the PA system as Autumn Valentine walks out onto the stage wearing a black jacket. Across her ring-gear are indeed the letters AVW. She pauses on the stage for a moment before being joined by Lexy Chapel. Lexy watches on as Autumn throws her hands up into the air and screams ‘A-V-W’ at the top of her lungs while making the letters with her hands. Autumn holds her SCW World Tag Team Championship belt. Lexy is holding the other.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall with a fifteen minute time limit and is for the SCW Television Championship. First, the challenger. Introducing, accompanied by Lexy Chapel, hailing from Los Angeles, California, one half of the SCW World Tag Team Champions, she wants you to know she still giving Zero Effs, this is AVW, AUTUMN VALENTINE!”

Autumn walks to the ring accompanied by Lexy. She skips up to the apron and jumps up before sliding off her jacket and letting it fall to the floor. She then runs at the turnbuckles, climbing up and once again throwing up the “A-V-W” symbols with her hands while looking into the camera confidently. She jumps from the outside of the ropes to inside of the ring, rolling back to her feet before walking to the ropes and dropping down into the splits and leaning through the ropes to smirk at Lexy. She pushes herself back under the ropes and gets back to her feet.

Sharper: “Lexy Chapel looking to bring more gold into her stable here. Autumn Valentine also has some personal connection with this title. It was a title she used to build herself back up a couple of years ago.”

Knots: “Well she has Lexy for that…and the World Tag Team Championship!”

Sharper: “We also already see Ace Marshall’s title already becoming almost a communal title. Lexy Chapel holding it.”

Knots: “Maybe Lexy’s the replacement for Ace in any tag title match at Rise to Greatness?”

The opening of "Whore" by In This Moment fills the arena as red and pink lights swirl around...

Kandis appears on the stage, a sultry smirk on her face as the crowd boos. She turns and shows off her notorious rear end, swaying it back and forth...

The lights dim as the music seems to pause a moment, then Kandis turns around, showcasing the SCW Television Championship around her waist, arms spread and feet wide apart as vocalist Maria Brink shouts:

Tommy Valentine walks out and joins her and the two smile before they start down the ramp as the rest of the chorus continues. Kandis’s sway in her hips ever present as she smirks at all the boos, even blowing sarcastic kisses to the crowd.

Phillips: “His opponent, accompanied by Tommy Valentine, from Santa Barbara, California, the SCW Television Champion, she is Kandis!”

Kandis goes up the ring steps and enters the ring through the second and top rope slowly, making sure to show off her ass. Tommy enjoys the view as Derek Adonis shakes his head and starts to pray. The heavy music fades out as Kandis goes to her corner. Tommy joins her. The referee, Steve Hollinsworth, comes over and Kandis hands off the title. Hollinsworth holds the title over his head as the SCW Television Championship logo comes across the screen and fades to the bottom corner.

Sharper: “We’ve already seen Kandis getting involved earlier and Pat Evans taken to the hospital thanks to Tommy Valentine making sure to get some revenge.”

Knots: “Already a good night for Tommy. And the Jackals already starting to make waves. The question is what’s going to happen here. And I don’t think Lexy truly understands what she’s gotten involved in.”

Kandis backs up as Autumn looks at her. Lexy yells at her as Tommy just scoffs. Hollinsworth hands off the title. Lexy holds up both World Tag Team Championships over her head as the bell sounds. Kandis steps up and moves up with Autumn as the two lock up in the middle of the ring. They push back on one another before Kandis shoves Autumn back. She rolls through. Autumn gets up and Kandis smirks as Autumn runs over and goes to grapple Kandis again, but Kandis catches her and shoves her back again. She rolls through again. Kandis steps up again and forearms Autumn in the jaw. She grabs her and whips her across the ring. Autumn bounces off and Autumn hits a jumping forearm smash.

Sharper: “Kandis using her strength. Autumn leaving her feet!”

Knots: “And this is just hitting the ground running! TV Title on the line!”

Autumn rolls over and gets up. Kandis turns and Autumn forearms her in the jaw and then again. Kandis falls to the ropes and Autumn grabs her and whips her across. She bounces off and Autumn jumps up and hits a leg lariat. Kandis hits the mat. Kandis rolls over and Autumn follows up with a couple of stomps in the back. Kandis moves to the ropes. Autumn then stomps her in the head before running across the ring. She bounces off, but Kandis gets up and runs forward and clotheslines Autumn down. The crowd ohs. Kandis turns and hits a leg drop. The crowd ohs again and Kandis goes for the pin.

Autumn kicks out. Autumn rolls over and starts to get up and Kandis grabs her and elbows her in the back of the head. She whips Autumn across the ring. Autumn bounces off and Kandis steps up as Autumn jumps up for a crossbody, but Kandis catches her. Kandis smiles and then throws Autumn back with a fallaway slam.

Sharper: “Kandis just tossing Autumn back as if she was nothing.”

Knots: “Just think. I hear that’s one thing Tommy likes about his private time with Kandis. Sometimes you want to be picked up, Sharper!”

Sharper: “Uh…okay…Meanwhile, a cover! Could Kandis retain?”

Kandis turns and hooks the leg.

Autumn kicks out. Kandis turns and grabs her and pulls her up. She pushes Autumn into the corner. Kandis then hits a knee to the ribs and then another one. She grabs Autumn and whips her across, but Autumn runs up the corner. Kandis runs after. Autumn jumps back and lands on her feet. Kandis turns and runs at Autumn and Autumn hits a drop toe hold. She then gets up and hits a jumping senton backsplash to Kandis’s lower back. Autumn rolls over and turns as she hits a basement dropkick to the side of Kandis’s head. Kandis hits the mat. Autumn goes for the pin.

Kandis gets her shoulder up. She rolls over and Autumn grabs her and slowly pull her up. She nails her with a hard right.

Sharper: “Autumn just hammering away. Hard right. Staying on the champion.”

Knots: “We said Jordan was aggressive earlier. So are these two!”

Sharper: “And right now, it may pay off for the challenger!”

Autumn nails Kandis with another one before whipping Kandis across. Kandis bounces off and Autumn springboards off the middle rope and hits a jumping back kick to the head of Kandis. Kandis hits the mat. Autumn goes for the pin.

Kandis kicks out. She turns and Autumn rolls off. Autumn turns and exits to the apron. She then climbs up to the top rope. Kandis turns as Autumn dives forward, but Kandis hits a front kick to the ribs. Autumn bends over and Kandis hoists her up and hits a snap powerbomb.

Sharper: “Kandis muscling Autumn up and planting her!”

Knots: “Just snapping her down and time for her to see how strong her chest is!”

Kandis steps over Autumn and looks down before hitting the Bass Drop. The crowd ohs as she remains seated on her chest.

Autumn shoots her shoulder up. Kandis falls over and rolls over. She looks around as Autumn coughs. She rolls over and Kandis gets up and steps over her as Autumn is on her stomach and Kandis hits a second Bass Drop. The crowd ohs. She sits on Autumn’s lower back as Lexy yells at her to get off. Kandis steps off and walks around the ring. She then steps forward before pointing at Lexy.

Lexy: “Hey! Don’t look at me! I don’t have room to manage you!”

Kandis turns back as Autumn crawls to the ropes. Kandis grabs her and pulls her up. Kandis spins her around and runs her across the ring. Kandis runs after and Autumn gets a boot up. Kandis falls back along the ropes and then falls through them. She shakes it off. The crowd however roars as Bison Jones and Anastasia Smirnov storm out from the back.

Sharper: “We have trouble! Bison Jones and Anastasia Smirnov!”

Knots: “Where’s Adam? Too drunk to figure out where the curtain is!”

Sharper: “Or this is personal for Anastasia!”

Bison heads to the ring as Tommy runs around the ring. Bison steps up to him and nails him with a hard right and then another. Adam Allocco then steps out from the back. He smirks as he looks down at the ring. The official steps through the ropes and tries to get Bison and Tommy to stop. Anastasia then goes over to Kandis. She tries to hammer away on her, but Kandis just shoves her back violently. Adam sees this and then runs down to the ring. Kandis rolls back into the ring and then spins around before Autumn grabs her and hits the Pink Whisper. The crowd roars. Bison shoves Tommy down and Tommy rolls through. Bison looks in the ring as the official turns and sees Autumn throwing her arm over Kandis.

Sharper: “Autumn planted Kandis with the Pink Whisper!”

Knots: “She got free, but turned and walked right into it!”

Sharper: “Did Lexy pay for this too?”

Knots: “Who cares? I can live with this!”

The crowd roars. The bell sounds.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, and NEW SCW Television Champion, Autumn Valentine!”

Autumn rolls off as Adam turns to the ring and shrugs. He then slides in the ring as Tommy starts to get up and Bison steps up and nails him, but as he does, Adam gets up and grabs Autumn as Lexy is grabbing the TV Title and knees her in the ribs before T-Bone suplexing her down.

Knots: “If she is paying them, it was only for the win. Adam is thinking of Autumn as one half of the Tag Team Champions!”

Sharper: “Big suplex. T-Bone! Autumn up and over.”

Adam then turns and smiles before the crowd cheers again and Kimberly Williams and Jessica Lasiewicz run out from the back. The crowd cheers some more as Autumn stirs. Kim and Jessica run down and past Anastasia before sliding into the ring. Adam gets up and drops down and rolls to the floor. Lexy backs up as Adam turns and looks at Lexy and taunts her as Tommy gets up and starts to fight with Bison. Lexy looks around as Jessica and Kim watch Adam. The crowd then buzzes as we see a Japanese woman running out from the back. Lexy starts to jump up and down excitedly!

Sharper: “Who the hell is that? Whoever it is Lexy Chapel is excited about her!”

Knots: “I don’t know!”

The woman shoulders Anastasia down as she runs past her and slides into the ring. Autumn starts to get up by Kim and Jessica as they step forward and look at her. The woman looks at both before flipping both off and then swinging, but Jessica easily ducks and the woman nails Autumn with a hard right. Kim turns to Jessica and can clearly be seen to say “I like her!” The woman turns around and Lexy looks on, her hand over her mouth as Adam just laughs. Officials head to the ring.

Sharper: “Whoever that woman is…that’s not how that was supposed to go.”

Knots: “She missed big time!”

Kandis stirs, now on the floor, coming to terms with what just happened. Adam heads over to Bison as Tommy and Adam get into it as Tommy tries to go to Kandis. Kim and Jessica are pulled away from the woman and Autumn as Lexy slides into the ring. Officials come over to the Golden Boys and the Big Ass and Jackass Connection. Kandis starts to get up, annoyed as officials keep trying to break everyone up and the scene fades to black.

COMMERCIALS

Somewhere in a darkened basement, the silhouette of a man whose identity cannot be distinguished currently sits in a rocking chair and does nothing but slowly rock back and forth. In the background some children can be heard singing:

And if that mockingbird won't sing

The singing stops and at the same moment so does the rocking chair. The man whose voice is vaguely familiar to the SCW universe though we cannot place it exactly starts to speak:

Man: “It is not much longer SCW and my son will arrive and with him there will be disasters and calamities for everyone….disasters and calamities that will come in waves!

The man starts rocking again while Korn’s “Open Up” assaults the ears of those listening:

Breakdown returns where we see Selena Frost, the SCW World Champion, standing with Jessica Winters in the backstage area.

Jessica: “Welcome back to Breakdown and I am here with the SCW World Champion. It’s been a newsworthy night, but Selena, you faced Jordan Majors earlier tonight. There was even a moment where you stopped. Care to explain?”

Selena: “What’s to explain. We are here to compete. That’s the simple fact and it already looks like Ace Marshall is going to stand for some of the same we saw before. Not necessarily with Cid Turner because Cid actually was willing to compete when push came to shove. He never took a night off. Asher Hayes…looks like it. I don’t know, but I don’t like it. I asked Jordan if she wanted to continue when Nicole got involved. She wanted to keep going. Then whatever happened happened. Why? Because I know how important that match was for Jordan. I knew it the moment the bell sounded and the intensity she showed. Before that though, I saw Ace Marshall start off going at top speed against Glory Braddock, but apparently, Lexy Chapel had to pay off Gavin Taylor to get involved. And this is how she’s removing distractions?”

Selena shakes her head.

Selena: “Lexy asked me two weeks ago if I wanted to join LexyCorp. It’s not that often that someone immediately shows why I would never do it. To claim that she was helping her client…to do that. No. She just showed that she’s just like everyone else. Wanting the credit, but not the effort. And with Ace Marshall…I thought we may be past some of it. You don’t win Taking Hold of the Flame without showing the effort. Apparently though he’s moved on. He’s not just the guy who doesn’t take things seriously anymore. He’s also the guy who’s going to phone it in unless his manager thinks it’s time…Pathetic-“

Lexy: “Hey! You want to say something to me. I don’t hide! Not one bit!”

Lexy Chapel comes into view and turns, before looking around.

Lexy: “Ace get over here!”

Ace saunters in.

Lexy: “I’m dealing with a situation, but I heard you on the monitor and you’re going to question ME the Manager of the Year! The GREATEST Manager in SCW? The manager who now has TWO different titles in her midst. Going on a third!”

Selena: “Talk yourself up Lexy. I’m not facing you. I’m facing him. This is what you wanted?”

Ace: “Hey! I’m just enjoying this. I’m wondering what’s going to happen if Lexy goes for a takedown.”

Selena: “You have pride in this. Getting handed a win.”

Ace: “Gavin may be an idiot. But you know what…you can try to outwrestle everyone. One thing Lexy actually somehow picked up for her old man is how to out think you and if you don’t think that’s going to help, well…”

Ace shrugs.

Selena: “Pathetic…just all the more reason I’m going to have to kick your ass so this title isn’t represented by someone aligned with her.”

Lexy: “Hey! Whoa! I’m greatness. I’m awesome. Lexcellent if you will. Don’t you dare speak badly about this man, the future World Champion, just because you turned down greatness.”

Selena: “How about the fact your talent is good enough without you and THEY win.”

Lexy: “Well duh! They have an insurance policy! Me!”

Ace: “We’ll see about that. Lexy…do your worst! Because I’m coming to become champion again! Maybe Cass can come and find you and maim you before Shilo and Holly, huh?”

Lexy turns.

Lexy: “Oooo…really? I’ll call her!”

Ace laughs.

Lexy: “Until then, we’re so marketing blowtorches. To melt the Snow Queen and at her title reign. Come on!”

Ace: “Lots of fire around here, huh. Can you keep up with it? I mean you have your dream. Don’t want it to be a nightmare.”

Ace turns and heads off. Lexy just turns to Selena.

Lexy: “Yeah!”

Lexy turns and walks off too as Selena turns to Jessica.

Selena: “I figured we may be past that. Ace never had respect for much, but-“

Just then, Ace runs back into the scene and nails Selena from behind with a forearm to the back of the head. Deanna tries to warn Selena, but is too late. Selena falls to the floor as Jessica steps back, yelling out. Ace then turns and looks over Selena.

Ace: “That was all me. Right guys?”

Ace looks around and smiles and laughs as Selena grimaces in pain. Deanna checks on Selena. Selena rolls over.

Jessica: “You okay?”

Selena: “Is that all people can do? Attack me from behind…Cid tried…Holly…I’ll keep getting up.”

Selena starts to get up and staggers over, swaying briefly before looking up, gritting her teeth.

Selena: “Believe it!”

Selena holds her head as the scene fades to black.

COMMERCIALS

Breakdown returns with a female competitor in the ring.

Sharper: “Welcome back to the ring as Calista, that’s her name, a local talent here, about to do action against the returning Cassidy Carter.”

The lights in the arena go dark for a moment, and the crowd hushes in anticipation.  After a few moments, the baseline to "Bad Guy" by Billie Eilish begins thumping through the speakers. The arena fills with a mixture of boos and cheers.  As Billie's voice begins singing, low red lights begin flashing in time with the rhythm.

White shirt now red, my bloody nose 

Sleeping, you're on your tippy toes 

Creeping around like no one knows 

Think you're so criminal 

Cassidy's face appears on the big screen, blood streaming down her nose as she flashes a sadistic smile before her face disappears and her name flashes across the screen in blood red letters.  The red lights keep flashing. 

Bruises, on both my knees for you 

Don't say thank you or please 

I do what I want when I'm wanting to 

My soul? So cynical

White strobes begin flashing, the cameras focus on the entrance way.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a ten minute time-“

Before Phillips can finish, Cassidy Carter, having come from the crowd, has entered the ring and drilled Calista in the back of the head, forcing her down to the mat.

Sharper: “Cassidy Carter from the crowd!”

Knots: “And she took Calista’s head clean off Jesus!”

As she, in shock, tries to recover, we notice Cassidy turns back to a bag she had with her and grabs some sort of makeup pen. She turns back to Calista who starts to get up and jabs the pen in the forehead of Calista. She drops before Cassidy mounts her and nails her with a couple of hard rights before pushing her face down.

Sharper: “She’s got something with her. And what is she doing?”

Cassidy starts to rub the makeup pen all over Calista’s face, covering it in white makeup. The crowd looks on, buzzing.

Knots: “She’s covering her in white!”

Sharper: “What in the hell is she doing?”

Cassidy keeps rubbing it in as Calista tries to fight off, but Cassidy nails her with a hard right hand and rolls over. She turns back to her bag and reaches in, pulling out a blonde wig. The crowd roars as Calista rolls to her hands and knees and Cassidy places the wig on her head before looking at her, almost crazed.

Sharper: “Now a blonde wig…”

Knots: “Is she trying to make this woman look like a mix of Shilo and Holly?”

Sharper: “I don’t know, but she went after both last week and clearly Lexy Chapel is counting on her to fight for Ace in some way!”

Cassidy then starts to stomp away in the back of Calista before she drops down and pulls her up. Calista fights a bit before Cassidy kicks her in the ribs and hoists her up. The wig nearly falls off before Cassidy throws her forward and hits the Pretty Little Chaos. The crowd ohs as the wig flies off and Calista falls to the mat, out of it. The assigned referee goes over to check on her as Cassidy falls to her knees and looks out at the crowd. She then slowly gets up and walks over to camera. She pulls it over.

Cassidy: “I’ll do anything for Ace…and Shilo, Holly…I will look forward making you bleed! Datura…just stay out of my way!”

Cassidy steps back and looks around before turning to Calista and smirking.

Sharper: “My God…Lexy Chapel bringing her in…and she may be exactly what they needed.”

Knots: “No wonder Shilo was going to take Cassidy seriously. With her doing that!”

The camera remains on Cassidy for a few moments longer before we cut away.

“The Old Me” plays throughout the arena as the Breakdown logo comes up. A still of Cid Turner vs. Xander Valentine follows.

Sharper: “Next, our main event…Xander Valentine faces Cid Turner, next!”

The scene fades to black.

COMMERCIALS

Cid Turner vs. Xander Valentine

The feedback over the PA system, as if a jack is plugged into an amplifier rips through the arena. While the noise attracts the attention of the crowd, spotlights, one after another shine down onto the stage. "Soul on Fire" by The Last Internationale crackles on the sound system as smoke begins to hover on the stage. A shadow stands behind an illuminated curtain, by this point the crowd already caught up in a frenzy. The song's interlude cuts shorts as the lyrics begin:

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and is your main event of the evening. First, on his way to the ring, accompanied by Artemis, from San Diego, California, he is Xander Valentine!”

Xander bursts out behind the curtain onto the stage. He marches out onto the stage to the top of the ramp. The crowd cheers. Behind him emerges a woman, wearing a coat with fur lining. As if she doesn't exist, he stares down at the ring, regardless if occupied or vacant. A serious glare is painted across his weathered face. He starts marching deliberately down the ramp, continuing to stare at the ring. The song begins to fade out at this point. Xander is at the bottom of the ring steps. He stomps the bottom step several times before moving pass the steps towards the side of the ring. In a single bound, Xander leaps up onto the apron. He poses for a moment, stretching his shoulders as he continues to look into the ring. He raises his arm high into his air, as to promise victory. He garners another response from the crowd. Meanwhile Artemis has left his side, instead moving towards the timekeeper to take the position of a watcher. She stands there as if no one else exists but Xander and his opponent. Xander looks over at Artemis for a moment, for the first time acknowledging her existence before leaping over the top rope. He steps over to the corner and prepares for the battle ahead.

Sharper: “Last week, Xander Valentine overheard Asher Hayes running him down and Asher’s not here, but Cid is.”

Knots: “Cid paying for Asher again. First with Syren, now with Xander.”

Sharper: “You wonder…Cid will do anything for Asher. But is Asher making Cid run through hoops to punish him for first winning and then losing the World Title!”

The lights slowly dim down. The crowd buzzes in anticipation, many of them taking their phones out and lighting up the arena with their flashlights. After a few moments of silence, "Dark Child" by Marlon Williams plays as the lights flash back on. The big screen shows several highlights of Cid Turner's career as the song continues to play. The crowd roars as Cid makes his way onto the stage, looking tensely out into the crowd before looking to Xander. Cid takes a moment to let it all soak in before he begins his walk down the ramp.

Phillips: “His opponent, from Denver, Colorado, he is Cid Turner!”

Cid continues his walk down the ramp and keeps his eye on the ring while continually muttering to himself. Cid reaches the ring. Cid climbs up the steps, slowly walking across the apron to the corner and pulling himself up onto the second rope, standing on the turnbuckle. He takes a deep breath as the crowd continues to give a mixed reaction.

"My only dear long wasteful son

One day you'll wonder what you've become"

The music begins to fade out as Cid climbs down from the ropes and enters the ring. Cid turns and leans back against the corner while stroking his overgrown beard, watching Xander who just glares at him.

Sharper: “Cid Turner just watching Xander Valentine and he’s had a wild night. Helped Holly jump Syren, clearly working with Asher with that car stunt. And Cid wasn’t happy!”

Knots: “Cid I think somehow respects Syren. And that adds a whole new dynamic to this. Syren’s right to be pissed off. And Cid, yet again, caught in the middle, and trying to do what’s best for everyone!”

Sharper: “Unless this is all a ploy. That’s the problem. Old Cid…he was an asshole. He was that person and in recent months, fewer and fewer are willing to give him the benefit of the doubt.”

The bell sounds. Xander steps up to Cid. Cid backs up back to the corner.

Cid: “Hey! Hey! I can’t be killed. I have destiny. Just it was Ash-“

Xander grabs Cid and then pushes him back and elbows him in the jaw. The crowd roars. Xander rears back and elbows him again. Xander hits a third elbow as Cid nearly falls to a knee from the impact and Xander grabs Cid and then hits a huge hip toss out of the corner. Cid rolls over, holding his lower back and rolling over. Xander turns and walks towards him.

Cid: “Don’t kill me! Okay! Don’t-“

Xander: “I’m not going to kill you-“

Cid: “Well Regan…James-“

Xander then boots Cid in the face and Cid falls back and rolls over. He grabs at the ropes and staggers up and Xander nails him in the ribs with a hard right. Cid staggers over to the ropes. Xander grabs Cid and whips him across the ring. Cid bounces off and Xander launches Cid into the air and walks around as Cid kicks his legs and lands hard on the mat, chest first. Cid rolls over, holding his ribs.

Sharper: “And Xander just launching Cid into the air!”

Knots: “Gravity is undefeated kids!”

Sharper: “And Cid maybe upsetting Xander more. Cid reminding him of his past injured opponents. We heard from Xander earlier about just that.”

Xander turns and grabs Cid by the hair and pulls him up and headbutts him. Cid falls to the ropes. Xander grabs him and whips him across the ring. Cid bounces off and Xander goes for a boot. Cid slides through. He gets up and Xander turns and Cid nails him with a hard right and then another and another. Xander swings, but Cid ducks under and then hits a dropkick to Xander’s knee. Xander falls to a knee. Cid hits another dropkick to the knee. Xander falls over. Cid gets up and just starts to stomp away on Xander over and over and over again. The official starts his count.

Cid steps back and backs up and looks at Xander. He then calmly runs his hand through his hair.

Knots: “Well, Cid just decided to believe Xander owes him money!”

Sharper: “May owe him mortality. Cid’s clearly not going to give Xander an opportunity to do what he fears he can do.”

Knots: “Xander’s dangerous. We all know how dangerous he is!”

Sharper: “Xander may want to change that. Again, that may be a unique angle in the US Title elimination match at Rise to Greatness.”

Xander turns and starts to stir. Cid looks at him and runs over and starts to stomp him over and over and over again. The crowd gives a mixed reaction.

Cid steps back. He walks around the ring. Xander rolls over, wincing in pain, but also increasingly annoyed. Cid then runs over and stomps him over and over and over again.

Cid again backs up as Xander turns as the crowd roars. Cid then looks at Xander and runs over to him and jumps onto his back. He clubs him in the back of the head and then grabs him, but Xander stands up as Cid looks around, eyes darting.

Cid: “Oh shi-“

Xander then runs back and sandwiches him in the corner.

Sharper: “Cid doing all he can to keep Xander down, but Xander is just getting more and more upset!”

Knots: “And you can see it. The frustration!”

Xander then steps forward and hits a knee to the ribs of Cid. He hits another one and then grabs Cid and pulls Xander in and scoops her up and spins around into a huge sidewalk slam. The crowd ohs. Xander pulls back on Cid’s legs.

Cid kicks out. He rolls over and moves to the ropes as Xander gets up and turns and walks after him and grabs him and knees him in the ribs. He knees him again and whips him across the ring. Cid bounces off and Xander lifts Cid up and over, but Cid spins through and lands on his feet. Cid then hits a chopblock. The crowd ohs. Xander winces and rolls over. Cid looks at this and turns and exits to the apron.

Sharper: “He got him off his feet!”

Knots: “Chopblock and maybe hurt him!”

Cid Turner climbs up to the top rope. The crowd roars. Xander however grits his teeth and gets up and nails him with a hard right. Cid leans back before then moving forward. Xander goes to step to the middle rope, but stops as Cid pleas with him and Xander just headbutts him. He then grabs Cid and lifts him up and turns and press slams him up and over the top rope to the floor.

Sharper: “Cid thought the Martial Bane was coming, but again, Xander doesn’t hit it.”

Knots: “We saw that also at Taking Hold of the Flame and even before against James. Intentionally not going for it!”

Cid rolls over and starts to get up. Xander walks after and knees him in the ribs. He places Cid’s head under his arm. He then hoists him up and spins through and Cid lands behind Xander. Cid clubs him in the back and then again. Xander hits a back elbow. Cid falls back to the ropes. Xander turns and runs at him. Cid ducks and staggers back. Xander bounces off the ropes and then runs at Cid and Cid hits a drop toe hold into the middle rope. Xander grimaces in pain as Artemis looks on. Cid then turns and climbs up to the top rope. He looks at Xander as Xander staggers up to his feet and Cid hits the Denver Diving Kick to Xander’s head. Xander falls back to the middle of the ring, while Cid manages to land on the apron. He then looks at Xander and smiles as he then climbs up to the top rope. But as he does, the crowd erupts in cheers as we see Syren running out from the back, blood still noticeable in her hair, and a bandage over her forearm as she jumps up onto the apron and then pushes Cid off. Cid falls off and into the barricade. The crowd roars as the referee calls for the bell.

Sharper: “Syren! Syren from the back!”

Knots: “Ghosts of earlier this night coming to haunt Cidnay!”

Sharper: “And she’s climbing! She’s not done!”

Syren climbs up to the top rope as the crowd roars as Cid starts to get up on the floor, holding his chest and turns as Syren dives off the top rope and takes him down with a crossbody. The crowd erupts in cheers. Cid falls over as Syren rolls over. She winces and dives back onto Cid, nailing him with repeated blows to the back of the head. The crowd roars some more as Aaron Demitra, the official, drops down to the floor to try and get Syren off Cid!

Sharper: “Syren just teeing off on Cid Turner! She’s done with waiting!”

Knots: “Cid’s covering up. No Holly! And no Asher this week!”

Sharper: “This week…but next week, he should be back and what will that change in this dynamic, but right now, that can’t come soon enough for Cid Turner!”

Syren is pulled off and kicks at Cid as Cid rolls over before Syren spins through and runs past Demitra and dives onto Cid again. The crowd roars again. Xander starts to get up in the ring as officials run down from the back and the scene slowly fades to black…
