Breakdown - June 27, 2024

“Supreme Championship Wrestling...”

A shot of Kelcey Wallace nailing Bree Lancaster with the Perfect Ending, followed by a shot of Steve Griffin hitting the Decimator off the top rope on CHBK at the first Rise to Greatness, before turning a shot of Jake Starr pumping up the crowd on his way to the ring, before turning into a shot of Ravyn Taylor sitting in the corner, waiting for the start of a match. We then cut to a live shot of the inside of the Toyota Center in Houston, Texas. The crowd cheers as pyro shoots out from the base of the stage. The display continues for a few moments before spotlights circle the arena and the cameras pan across the crowd for a few moments.

Sharper: “We come to you from the gulf coast in Houston, Texas. Things are hotter than ever in SCW!”

The cameras continue to pan throughout the crowd before cutting to the ringside area where Adam Sharper sits with Jonathan Knots at the announce position.

Sharper: “Welcome to ringside. Jonathan Knots with me; I’m Adam Sharper. And tonight, in our main event, when Josh Hudson faces Polly Pingotti.”

Knots: “Think it will go better than last week?”

Sharper: “Last week, here you see, how the show ended…”

The Breakdown logo comes up on the screen.

BREAKDOWN – LAST WEEK:

We cut to highlights of the match between Kandis, Kirsten Scott, Polly Pingotti, and Selena Frost. We see Kandis attacking Selena in the corner. Kandis turns and Demitra warns her again. Kandis turns back and kicks Selena in the stomach once and then again and again and again. Demitra again counts.

Demitra tries to tell Kandis to stop, but Kandis rolls her eyes.

Kandis: “You’re not needed, especially to help her!”

Kandis then pushes Demitra back and hits the Starmaker. The crowd ohs as Demitra drops to the mat.

Knots: “Yeah, it was a crazy match. A lot of interference, but that’s not all. Kandis snapped. She’s claimed Demitra has been in Selena’s pocket. Well, Kandis took him out for that transgression.”

Sharper: “True or not. And then as things broke down. Kandis looked to use a chair to take Selena out, but Polly said no. She wanted to win. Scott and Kandis wanted to destroy Selena Frost!”

The Breakdown logo comes up on the screen. Kandis grabs the steel chair in the ring. Just then, Polly runs over and jumps up and hits the Head Turner, driving Kandis face first into the steel chair. Polly steps forward and turns around and Kirsten Scott nails Polly with the steel chair in the face. Polly goes down. Scott turns around and right into Selena Frost who hits the Glass Shard. The crowd boos.

Knots: “Polly got the chair. Kirsten Scott had the opportunity, but then the Glass Shard, and you see Steve Hollinsworth only finally, right at the end coming out.”

Sharper: “The officials quite delayed and you see some going to check on Demitra. Hollinsworth going for the count.

We then see Steven Hollinsworth bolting down to the ring. Jennifer Cassidy and several EMTs join him to check on Demitra as Hollinsworth slides in. Selena covers Scott.

The crowd boos. Selena rolls off and smirks as the bell sounds.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Selena Frost!”

The crowd boos loudly. The Breakdown logo comes up on the screen again. Selena remains down, breathing heavily. The crowd however starts to cheer as we see a man walking over to her and standing over her…Josh Hudson. Hudson looks down at the woman he will challenge at Rise to Greatness. Selena looks up at him, the relief changing to annoyance. Josh Hudson continues to look down at Selena. The Breakdown logo coming up on the screen.

Sharper: “And you can see the result. Josh Hudson ending our broadcast last week looking down at Selena Frost.”

Knots: “Selena survived and again, relief until Josh showed up.”

BELIEVE IT... OR NOT!

"Thank You for Hating Me!" by Citizen Soldier plays throughout the arena, the SCW Universe deafening the song with their boos. The lights shift to dark purple and blue, filling the arena as snow is seen “falling” along the electronic floor and screens as, out from the back, walks the Snow Queen, Selena Frost, taking in the crowd of the SCW Universe. The SCW World Championship sits over her shoulder. Selena Frost then starts to walk down to the ring.

Knots: “Guess the main event not enough for her?”

Sharper: “Josh Hudson will be there. You wonder how Selena feels about that? I feel we’ll see her again later. But why now?”

Knots: “We just saw the highlights from last week. Selena can’t be happy about all of that.”

Selena Frost reaches the ring and walks up the steel steps and into the ring. She then walks across the ring, barely playing to the crowd. Instead, she goes right across to the corner and asks for a microphone. Jason Phillips, the ring announcer, hands her one. Selena takes it and walks back over to the middle of the ring. She then looks around and scoffs.

Selena: “I don’t care if you don’t want to hear me, I’m going to talk anyway.”

The crowd boos as Selena looks around the arena.

Selena: “Where do I even begin?”

Selena scoffs.

Selena: “How about at the pathetic display by two people who I am proud to say I made sure do not hold this title!”

Selena looks at the crowd.

Selena: “Right, Kirsten Scott…Kandis….That was embarrassing. To use chairs. To be so driven by hate that you need to try and take me out. And in the process, Kandis, you attacked a good man. You attacked Aaron Demitra and for what? Because you LOST!”

Selena looks at the main camera.

Selena: “Let me say that again, Kandis…at Retribution, you LOST! Aaron Demitra called that match as he should. And you, clearly showing the hallmarks of the West Hollywood school system, couldn’t handle that. But to take it out on him…to hit Aaron Demitra with the Starmaker.”

Selena looks down for a moment and then back up.

Selena: “I hope you’re brought up on criminal charges. I hope you spend Rise to Greatness in jail where you clearly deserve to be! Thank you…THANK YOU for vindicating EVERYTHING I have worked for sine returning to make this title a symbol of excellence instead whatever you represent Kandis. And Kirsten Scott…you think that’s a good partner. Good luck. I hope now Deanna understand you deserve no respect!”

Selena looks around.

Selena: “But again, thank you to the other SCW officials for showing what Aaron Demitra is the hallmark of compassion and professionalism. For how long was he down on the mat because his fellow officials did what? Took their time? I don’t even know what to think there. This is why I have chosen him…rewarded him by demanding he be my official for World Title match. NO ONE is as good as him and he deserves to in the matches that reflect excellence. Just like Josh Hudson has now earned.”

Selena shakes her head as the crowd cheers Josh.

Selena: “You earned this by winning the Taking Hold of the Flame and yet, while you claim to know what my fight is like, you clearly just want the easy psychological wins. That’s not going to help you win, Josh. I’ve seen it all and outside of the fluke that was last year’s ambomination of a main event at Rise to Greatness, that main event has been my domain for dominance and-“

“Duality” then starts to play as the crowd cheers. Selena Frost turns to the stage. Josh Hudson walks out from the back.

Selena: “Don’t have your girlfriend with you?”

Hudson smirks and brings the microphone to his mouth.

Hudson: “Are you and Deanna still together?”

The crowd ohs as Selena glares at Josh.

Hudson: “I pay attention too Selena. And don’t worry, I figured I’d finally save this crowd from you droning on about how amazing you are. We’ll figure that out when it matters at Rise to Greatness. But I figured I’d correct you a few things.”

Hudson looks at Selena.

Hudson: “First off, leave the officials out of it. I’m the reason Steve took so long to make his way out there. I mean, only fair to see how you do in the circumstances you created.”

Selena: “Yeah, holding people to account when they jumped me first.”

Hudson: “I thought you were the better woman, my mistake. But Steve and Jennifer and company, they were stopped by me. I figured I’d let the chaos subside. Turns out that Hollinsworth is good at his job. As is Cassidy. As are a lot of people. That’s fine. But the reason you survived last week was because of me. Amazing what happens when you obstruct. You know…you like doing that too.”

Selena: “This is what you’re doing? Little games? A bit petty?”

Hudson: “Why not? Why not be petty, Selena? I think I’ve earned it. I’ve been around the block a few times. Just like you have. You want to be petty. I can too. And it’s why I demanded to face Polly tonight. She wanted to face you one on one…my decision hurt her…I get it…I face up to it and I know Polly is as hungry as ever. I could fall flat on my face! There’s a track record too. Taking Hold of the Flame winners – first match after, loss. And you could laugh in my face, Selena!”

Hudson smirks.

Hudson: “But I don’t hide. And unlike you, I won’t be on my back, relieved that I survived. Polly may be hungry, but I’m looking to make a statement. One that tells you that your title will be mine in one month! And I’ll be standing tall, armed raised. You want to look down at everyone because Queen Selena is at the top. Well, last week, you had to look up at me. And come Rise to Greatness, it will happen again. It will happen to Polly tonight, it will happen to you. And I can’t wait to hear you cry foul, cry fluke. Because Selena, while I may be petty, I’m petty enough to know I need to beat you clean to shut you up. And I will. Because unlike Kirsten Scott or Xander Valentine…both of whom you don’t respect. I’d love to say you don’t respect me. Because at some point, you reveal yourself for what you are…a self-righteous bitch.”

Hudson backs up as the crowd roars.

Hudson: “I’m in the main event…that’s your domain? Well…Watch and learn, Selena, tonight. Watch and learn.”

Hudson turns as “Duality” plays again as Selena glares at Hudson heads to the back.

Sharper: “Josh Hudson just exuding confidence. And he said it right…”

Knots: “Two people happy to be petty. But at the highest level. And you can see how Selena is just bothered by this. There may be history, but this is so different.”

Sharper: “Selena said it two weeks ago – SCW needed a non-full-time member to challenge her. But tonight, she mentioned respect. And Josh Hudson is a 25 year veteran. Hall of Famer. And now, we’re into the mind games.”

Hudson disappears to the back as Selena Frost just scoffs. Breakdown cuts to the back.

Backstage, we see Konrad Raab walking into the building with Ginny Raab, Dakon Theron, and Ludvig Eriksson with him. The crowd roars seeing him as Konrad is seething. He storms down the hallway and points to someone. Theron and Eriksson head over and quickly grab one of the crew members.

Theron: “Where is CHBK’s office?”

The crew member frantically points down the hallway. They throw him down as Konrad continues to head down hallway, following where he was directed. Theron and Eriksson catch up as Ginny then points something out. Konrad heads over and violently opens the door. Gavin Taylor is inside, speaking to CHBK.

Gavin: “Whoa! Konny! Relax-“

Konrad: “Get the hell out of my face!”

Gavin backs up, hands up.

Gavin: “Get out of the wrong side of your afternoon divan?”

Gavin turns to CHBK.

Gavin: “I’m making that challenge.”

CHBK: “You do whatever you want. But as I said, you’re booked next week.”

Gavin turns and heads off as Konrad steps up and places his hands on the desk, leaning forward.

Konrad: “You better give me the answer I want to hear. Where is Shaun Cruze?”

CHBK: “Well Konrad, I assume at home. In Los Angeles, or maybe Britain-“

Konrad: “Don’t make me have to bitch slap you right now-“

CHBK: “He’s not under contract, Konrad. He was visiting last week-“

Konrad: “And I shove have broken his neck where he stood. But I kept control. Like your pissant doctors want me. And now I can’t have his ass!”

Konrad grabs CHBK by the cuff, pulling him in.

Ginny: “Konrad!”

Konrad: “You’re going to get me Shaun Cruze. You’re going to force him to face me or I’m going to make that coward realize that every word he said last week…all he did is lead to scorched EARTH!”

Konrad shoves CHBK back. Konrad backs up.

Konrad: “Warning one. I don’t give another.”

Konrad turns and storms off. Theron and Eriksson follow, joined by Ginny Raab as the scene cuts to commercial.

COMMERCIALS

Breakdown returns as Jaina Lancaster is with Gavin Taylor in the backstage area.

Jaina: “Welcome back to Breakdown. Jaina Lancaster here with Gavin Taylor. Gavin, we just saw you talking to the SCW COO Alex Desoubrais. What were you discussing?”

Gavin: “Well, Jaina, you get to be the lucky one.”

Jaina: “What’s that? Going to jump me like you tried to jump my aunt-“

Gavin: “I told you. I was sizing up Selena. But enough of that. I have well…people always ask me…what do you get someone like Gavin Taylor for Rise to Greatness and it’s easy. You give them a challenge. See, 2024 may not have been my year but if you’ve been watching SCW programming since Taking Hold of the Flame, like I know you would, and I do religiously…you can read between the lines. You can see the opportunities. You can see what people really want and what people don’t want, and well, maybe it’s time for Gavin Claus to show up here and do a few people some favours…namely me. But other people too!”

Jaina: “What are you talking about?”

Gavin: “Well, the fact is that SCW is the best in the world! Right?”

Jaina: “Yes.”

Gavin: “And we have a lot of new blood around here. And I may be seen as a little bit arrogant for saying this, but I think they need to come through some of us around here. I mean, I was the runner up to the Taking Hold of the Flame last year. I beat Syren in an ironperson match at Rise to Greatness. Kandis still is afraid of going near scalding water because of me and that’s going to make some people mighty unhappy on her Onlyfans. But I digress, but Gavin Taylor is coming for those news faces and don’t worry, I won’t be toying with a Raven…I’ve already done enough of that in my time. But don’t worry, because when I done with my plans, I may gain a new nickname….Jesus Christ!”

Gavin smiles as he walks out, arms out. Jaina looks at him almost as if he’s delusional as SCW cuts backs to the ring.

Knots: “Jesus Christ? Wait…JC?”

Magical Cosmic Princess YUYO vs. Marie Jones

"You and I walk a fragile line

Phillips: “The opening contest tonight on Breakdown is scheduled for onefall with a fifteen minute time limit. First, on her way to the ring, from Boston, Massachusetts…”

Phillips: “The Phoenix, Marie Jones!”

A spotlight shines down at the top of the entrance ramp. Pyro goes off. Then Marie Annabelle Jones steps through the curtain, wearing her ring gear and her signature black leather jacket. A broad, somewhat condescending grin is on her face as she gaze out at the fans in the arena who cheer loudly. The Tron shows images of her striking at her opponents with her finishing and signature moves as the lyrics of "Haunted" by Taylor Swift begin to flow through the arena. Marie begins to make her way down towards the ring. As for Marie herself, she stops to slap a few high fives with fans, recognizing them as they cheer her. Then her focus is solely on the ring and the determined stride with which she walks tells that story. Marie hops up onto the ring apron. She strikes a sultry and sexy pose for the audience. Marie turns and leaps over the top rope and into the ring. She then hops up onto the second turnbuckle of the nearby corner and holds her arms up high into the air, getting a reaction from the crowd.

Sharper: “Marie Jones hoping to get things back in her favour. A couple of hard losses at Taking Hold of the Flame and then two weeks ago against Autumn Valentine.”

Knots: “The latter one was the tough one. It represented that success over Infamous. The situation that caused her to say nuts to this, I’m out!”

Sharper: “And a very different challenge tonight!”

The arena darkens before:

Nyan nyan nyan nyan nyan nyan

The Nyan cat appears on the screen, with the crowd popping. The cat in a poptart, farting rainbows steers around and breaks right into the screen, showing a window crack before breaking. At that moment, “Catch Me If You Can” by BABYMETAL’s opening riffs plays, and the girls' voice count:

One-Two
One-Two-Three-Four!

Out pops YUYO from behind the curtains. Bright white light now shines down on the stage, following YUYO. Mister Meowkazawa follows her to stand behind her. A moment later, her fellow Shining Maidens of SCW members join her as well. NEMO and SAWA pose at either side of YUYO. YUYO steps up to the top of the ramp and places her hands on her hips. Meowkazawa hands her the magical staff, Gríðarvölr. She spins the staff around with a display of talent, the long purple and white ribbons attached to the staff’s end flash. When she stops, she thrusts one hand forward while holding the staff behind her back.

YUYO: “HA!”

Phillips: “Her opponent, descending from the sea of stars above, weighing at 110 pounds, the Guardian of Love, Justice and Peace— Magical Cosmic Princess, YUYO!”

YUYO springs down the ramp, staff in hand, she tosses it into the ring as she slides in under the bottom rope. She pops to her feet, picks up the staff again in a single stride, and then straight to the corner. She holds the staff like a gun and aims towards the ceiling, “BANG! BANG!”. Mr. Meowkazawa catches up to her, taking the staff while she remains in the corner. She points to the sky, “FOREVER!”. SAWA echoes YUYO's call while NEMO stands stoically off to the side. YUYO runs to the next corner and repeats, “FOREVER!”. She hops off the corner with a superhero landing! She then puts on a “mean” face as she readies for the match.

Sharper: “Magical Cosmic Princess YUYO riding high – her first appearance since Taking Hold of the Flame where she was in the final three!”

Knots: “Think about that. We could’ve had Magical Cosmic Princess YUYO against Selena Frost for the World Title!”

Sharper: “And it would have been the most unique match in SCW history.”

The bell sounds. YUYO and Marie Jones step out and YUYO then holds out a hand as Marie goes to go for a collar-and-elbow tie-up, but stops.

YUYO: “Stop!”

Marie looks around.

YUYO: “FOR JUSTICE!”

YUYO then swings and Marie blocks a hard right hand before nailing her with a kick to the ribs. She forearms YUYO in the jaw and then again. YUYO falls to the ropes and Marie whips her across. YUYO bounces off and Marie hits an arm drag. She holds on as YUYO reaches around. YUYO and Marie get up and Marie wrenches the arm. She jerks on it as YUYO yelps. Marie then whips her into the corner. Marie runs after and YUYO gets an elbow up. Marie staggers out and YUYO runs out and goes for a clothesline, but Marie counters with another deep arm drag. YUYO rolls through and falls to the ropes. Marie turns to her as YUYO scrambles back to the corner.

Sharper: “And Marie looking sharp so far. Right now, fighting like someone on a mission.”

Knots: “YUYO better remind herself this is for justice. For whom? Who knows?!”

YUYO pulls herself up and Marie kicks her in the ribs. She snapmares YUYO out of the corner and then hits a dropkick to the back of the head. YUYO rolls over. Marie goes for the pin.

YUYO kicks out. She rolls over and moves to the ropes. She gets up as Marie heads over and grabs YUYO, but YUYO ducks under and then around before hitting a chop. The crowd woos. YUYO chops her again. More woos. She then grabs Marie and runs her across the ring and into the corner, face first into the turnbuckle. Marie turns and YUYO kicks her in the ribs once and then again before kissing Marie on the forehead and jumping up to the middle rope, spinning through.

YUYO: “For justice!”

YUYO then hits the Kiss of Justice. Marie staggers forward and falls to the mat. YUYO dives onto her for the pin.

Sharper: “Kiss of Justice. Now a cover attempt!”

Marie kicks out. Marie rolls over and gets up and YUYO hits a drop toe hold. Marie hits the mat. YUYO then gets up and cartwheels towards the head of Marie and hits a dropkick to her face as she kneels up.

Knots: “How about that? A little show and then bam! Lights out!”

Sharper: “May be out. YUYO with another pin attempt!”

YUYO rolls Marie over and hooks the leg.

Marie kicks out. YUYO rolls off and pouts as Marie rolls over. She gets up and moves to the ropes. YUYO steps up and forearms Marie in the jaw. She then goes to whip her across, but Marie spins through and sends YUYO in. YUYO bounces off and Marie hits a dropkick to the jaw. YUYO hits the mat as the crowd ohs. Marie gets up and jumps to the ropes and dives back with the Divine Impact. She hooks the leg.

YUYO kicks out. Both women get up and Marie ducks a clothesline attempt and spins around YUYO before hitting a snap back suplex. YUYO rolls over, holding her head. She gets up and Marie runs to the ropes, bounces off and goes for a spinning heel kick. YUYO ducks. Marie hits the mat and rolls through. She runs at YUYO who grabs her arm and wrenches it before running up the corner and then walks along the ropes while singing. She dives off and hits a springboard hip attack. Marie goes down. YUYO rolls through and ends up on her chest.

Marie gets her shoulder up. Marie rolls over and crawls to the corner. YUYO gets up.

Sharper: “YUYO hitting the Funtime Song and Dance, but it didn’t get the victory.”

Knots: “Yeah, but Marie Jones didn’t have fun. Seems a bit one sided!”

YUYO runs at Marie and clotheslines her in the corner. She then runs her out and hits a running facebuster. YUYO then gets up and moves to the corner. Marie starts to get up and YUYO does a pose, before lunging with a superkick, but Marie catches it. Marie gets up and spins YUYO around before jumping up and hitting a frankensteiner. YUYO rolls through. She slowly gets up and Marie runs at her, and past her, and jumps to the middle rope before backflipping back, catching YUYO by the head and then hitting a reverse DDT. The crowd ohs. Marie hooks the leg.

YUYO gets her shoulder up. Marie rolls off. YUYO turn sand gets up and Marie grabs her and hits a snap suplex. Marie turns and exits to the apron.

Sharper: “Marie now back in control. Hard suplex as YUYO back down.”

Knots; “Even dropped her on her lower back. Maybe thinking a lot of options. Some may make YUYO sing better!”

Marie Jones climbs to the top rope. She looks at YUYO and then hits a shooting star press. The crowd ohs. Jones hooks the leg.

YUYO shoots her shoulder up. Marie rolls off. She looks up and slowly gets up as YUYO turns and slowly gets up at the ropes. Marie runs at her, and catches her with a kick to the ribs. She pulls her out to the middle of the ring and sets up for a DDT, only for YUYO to spin out and then pull Marie into a kick. She hooks her up and hooks her leg and hits a bridging fisherman’s suplex.

Marie kicks out. She rolls over and YUYO gets up and immediately hits a standing shooting star press. She hooks the leg again.

Marie kicks out.

Sharper: “YUYO surprising. Just showing decisiveness and aggression.”

Knots: “Just not hesitating. This is what coming in third in the Taking Hold of the Flame does. Helps your confidence!”

The Shining Maidans look on as Marie rolls over and moves to the ropes. YUYO runs at her and Marie gets an elbow up. YUYO staggers back and Marie runs over and grabs YUYO and drives her face first into her knee. YUYO pops up and falls back. Marie then hits a standing moonsault. She hooks the leg.

YUYO gets her shoulder up. She rolls over as Marie gets up and grabs her. She pulls her up and then whips YUYO into the ropes. YUYO bounces off and Marie scoops her up, but YUYO counters with a tilt-a-whirl into a DDT. The crowd ohs. YUYO dives onto Marie, throwing her arm over her.

Marie kicks out. YUYO rolls off.

YUYO: “You’re supposed to stay down!”

Meowkazawa shakes his head as YUYO gets up and walks around the ring and bounces off the ropes. Marie slowly gets up and YUYO hits a jumping hurricanrana.

Marie counters by pulling her back.

YUYO leans forward again.

Marie kicks out. Both get up and YUYO goes for a discus palm strike, but Marie ducks and then hits a Pele kick. YUYO goes down.

Sharper: “Marie got the Pele. And YUYO’s fight may be sapped!”

Knots: “Will be whenever Marie hits what she’s thinking!”

Marie turns back to YUYO and drags her into position. Marie then exits as SAWA looks concerned, NEMO just watches. Marie climbs up to the top rope. She looks down at YUYO and Marie dives off with a 450 splash, but YUYO rolls out of the way. The crowd ohs as Marie gets up, holding her chest and stumbles forward. YUYO moonwalks into the corner. She starts to stomp as the Maidens and the fans chant.

YUYO lunges as SAWA and NEMO hop onto the apron, centering YUYO’s strike on Marie with the Magical Knee. Japanese lettering and in English, pink balloon letters come up on the screen, spelling “EXPLOSION!”

Sharper: “And the explosion! The Magical Knee!”

Knots: “Marie missed, but right into it. YUYO didn’t!

YUYO goes for the pin.

The bell sounds. The crowd roars as YUYO throws her arms in the air. NEMO and SAWA enter as they stand in the ring, posing in victory.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Magical Cosmic Princess YUYO!”

Sharper: “YUYO victorious in a back and forth Adrenaline style showcase.”

Knots: “YUYO is here and she’s victorious!”

The Shining Maidens stop their pose and they then head to the ropes and step out, dropping to the floor. Meowkazawa joins them as YUYO throws her arm up. They head to the back. The camera follows them on their way before the crowd roars.

Sharper: “YUYO loving this…and wait…back to the ring! It’s James Evans!”

Knots: “Oh and he brought himself a seat!”

James Evans is in the ring with a steel chair and drives the back of the seat into the head of Marie forcing her down. Evans then looks at her and yells at her.

Evans: “Don’t think I didn’t forget about you!”

Evans then lifts the chair up and slams it down into the back of Marie.

Sharper: “Marie Jones returned at Retribution, helping Kim defeat James! And James is getting his damned revenge.”

Knots: “And I don’t think Marie should be worried about redemption. Now it’s survival!”

YUYO turns back and watches. Meowkazawa and NEMO tries to get her to go to the back .SAWA looks around as back in the ring, James then lifts the chair up and slams it down into the back of Marie. Marie grimaces in pain, arching her back as the crowd boos. James then rolls her over onto her back. He unfolds the chair and places it over her, before sitting down on it, choking her with the braces. Marie struggles. James looks down, the camera in the ring, getting close enough to pick up James’s voice.

Evans: “I could’ve ended it, but you had to get involved. And that’s something I will not forgive. There will be no redemption here! I will just enjoy the breath leaving your body!”

Marie taps on the chair, struggling to breathe as she kicks at the mat. Finally, Kimberly Williams bolts from the back, running right past YUYO and the Shining Maidens. YUYO tries to go after her, but again, NEMO and Mwowkazawa pull her back. The crowd cheers as Kim slides into the ring. James Evans gets up off of Marie. He backs up. Kim then runs at James, but James drops to the floor and rolls to it.

Kim: “You want me to kill you, James. I will! I know many ways how!”

Kim looks at James. James just points at Marie. Marie coughs as she turns to her side. Kim sees this and heads back and checks on Marie. James smirks as he walks around the ring. The crowd chants for Kim as Kim looks at James.

Backstage, Destiny Page stands with Xander Valentine backstage.

Page: “I am here with Xander Valentine and Xander, before I ask you to comment on your upcoming match tonight against Autumn Valentine, I wondered if you had anything to say about Kandis and the fatal four way match last week.”

Xander: “Trying to get me into trouble?”

Page: “Not at all. Just she had a plan and –“

Xander: “She found out how hard it is to see it through. I could run her down. I could call her an idiot like she did me. The difference – I at least lost on my own terms and I can live with that. As I’ve said – to say what may be my final World Title win came from her helping me. I couldn’t live with that. To be tainted by that. As for what she does in her clear tantrum stage, she’s finding out that Selena is as resilient as ever. A cockroach if you will. And that Josh Hudson may be the one we hope to finally snuff her out….”

Xander scoffs.

Xander: “The irony is not lost on me. But that’s not my problem. Kandis, as far as I’m concerned…that’s beneath me.”

Xander resets.

Xander: “As for Autumn, I simply plan to come to that ring and wipe the taste of defeat out of my mouth. You just happen to be who is across from me.”

Xander Valentine turns and heads off as Breakdown cuts to commercial.

COMMERCIALS

Breakdown returns as Jaina Lancaster stands with the new SCW Underground Champion, Eavan Maloney backstage in the SCW interview area.

Jaina: “Welcome back to Breakdown. Jaina Lancaster here and I’m with the new SCW Underground Champion, Eavan Maloney-“

Maloney: “Stop.”

Maloney sighs.

Maloney: “I may be champion, but I can’t have to like how it happened. And while I stand here, proud to hold this gold as any wrestler would be…Kim and I had something special. And James…it’s James, right?”

Jaina nods.

Maloney: “He had to ruin it. And it seems, in my digging, that you have a long history against him. And I don’t know whether I should step aside or offer to help. All I know is I hold a title you held dear. And while I hold it now, I will hold it for as long as I want – that is how I operate. But I would prefer to beat you and prove I am not only your equal, but your better! I will always offer that opportunity. But as for James…I will not thank you. And I will destroy you if you get in my way. You took away my first major moment in SCW. I will not forget it!”

Maloney looks right at the camera as the scene cuts away.

Back at ringside, “This is How a Heart Breaks” by Rob Thomas plays throughout the arena and we cut to Alex “CHBK” Desoubrais making his way down the ring already.

Sharper: “Welcome back to ringside and SCW’s Chief Operating Officer, the Canadian Heartbreak Kid, Alex Desoubrais, about to make an announcement. Last week, we found out that Bree Lancaster had been informed that she would find out how her next challenger would be determined.”

Knots: “Rock, paper, scissors tournament!”

Sharper: “I sincerely doubt that Knots.”

CHBK reaches the ring and walks up the steel steps. He walks along the apron and steps into the ring. He then waves to the crowd briefly before going over to the corner and grabs a microphone waiting for him. CHBK turns back to the middle of the ring and looks around as his music fades out.

CHBK: “Thank you Houston! Folks, Rise to Greatness is coming around the corner and every title match is special.”

CHBK pauses.

CHBK: “And with Bree Lancaster being a fighting Adrenaline Champion and wanting to prove it in the ring, it only makes sense we ensure her opponent is not only able to do so, but also is the best possible challenger for this huge event.”

CHBK looks around.

CHBK: “But first, I want to invite the Adrenaline Champion into the ring so she can know the field that will be assembled.”

Knots: “Field?”

Sharper: “Well looks like it will be a few people getting a shot.”

Knots: “Or we’re going to a baseball diamond. We are in Houston. They suck now…maybe SCW wants to see if we can outcompete the Blue Jays. Shouldn’t be too hard.”

CHBK: “So, please welcome at this time…the SCW Adrenaline Champion, Bree Lancaster!”

CHBK turns to the entrance way, pointing to the curtain. The lights dim, only a few small ones r remain on the stage as the voice of Bree Lancaster whispers:

“I am the light of the truth
The one who sees right through”

A guitar riff plays as the small lights dance around the stage, then suddenly stop, as one large beam shines down onto the figure of Bree herself.

“Spotlight”

The smaller lights begin again swirling as the music of “Spotlight” by Fozzy kicks in and Bree makes her way down the ramp.

Bree smiles at the front row fans as she gets to the ring and goes up the steps, stepping through the ropes. She goes to a corner and gets on the second turnbuckle, posing with one hand up overhead. The crowd cheers. She then turns and walks over to CHBK and shakes his hand. CHBK nods. Bree turns and grabs a microphone from ring announcer Jason Phillips. She turns back to the middle of the ring. Her music fades out.

CHBK: “Thank you for joining me.”

Bree: “Thank you for inviting me and keeping me in the loop. I’m curious what you have in mind. Josh keeps suggesting I should expect the worst.”

CHBK: “Ten years ago, he’d be right. But that’s a long time ago and a lot of water under the bridge.”

Bree: “We’ll see about that.”

CHBK: “As you know, Rise to Greatness is a big event and you’ve made it a point to highlight what that title means for you. Well, the SCW Adrenaline Division has a lot of potential and talent. SCW right now, has a lot of talent and talent that’s hungry, looking to break through. Some also may want a second shot. And I’ve gone through the roster. And next week, we’ll maybe turning back the clock, on July 4^th…maybe celebrate Bree-merica.”

Bree: “Don’t remind me.”

CHBK smirks.

CHBK: “But on next week’s Breakdown, on July 4, we’re going to celebrate the Adrenaline Division when eight SCW wrestlers will compete in a one-night tournament to determine your next challenger.”

CHBK takes a moment.

CHBK: “The brackets will be as follows…”

CHBK pauses.

CHBK: “Veronica Strader will face Gavin Taylor!”

The crowd roars.

CHBK: “Marie Jones will get another opportunity to get back, should she be cleared…against Konrad Raab!”

The crowd roars again.

Knots: “And looks like CHBK is going to make lots of friends!”

Sharper: “Konrad wanted Shaun Cruze earlier. CHBK can’t give him that!”

CHBK: “David Striker…”

The crowd roars.

CHBK: “…will face Chris Lawler!”

More cheers come from the crowd. Bree nods.

CHBK: “And in the final match in the first round-“

A woman’s voice can be heard as the video screens display the words she's saying in unison.

“Lexy Chapel Proudly Presents”

“FALL ST. PATRICK!”

Then a terribly remixed version of “Miss Nothing” by the Pretty Reckless plays as the cameras cut to the stage. Lexy Chapel walks out from the back with a microphone in her hand. Autumn Valentine walks out with her along with Fall St. Patrick. Bree turns to the entrance as CHBK Does too.

Chapel: “Hold up! Hold up! We’ve named six people and the OBVIOUS choice has not yet been named? Uh…what?”

Chapel heads to the ring with purpose. Fall and Autumn follow too and Chapel walks up the steel steps. She enters the ring as Fall and Autumn then follow up.

Bree: “With all due respect, if you want to dash her dreams again-“

Chapel: “Oh no, no, no. I’ll deal with YOU in a moment. I’m talking to my father, who seemingly is holding the fact that his MOST SUCCESSFUL daughter exists and he wants to find a way to screw my clients over.”

CHBK: “Lexy…I gave you what you wanted with Syren-“

Chapel: “She’s not my only client. And YOU know that. YOU even said that this wonderful talent, the indomitable…yeah…I used THAT word. Bree probably doesn’t even know what it means-“

Bree: “Do you?”

Chapel: “NOT THE POINT!”

Bree shrugs and rolls her eyes.

Chapel: “But Fall St. Patrick, you said she could earn a shot.”

CHBK: “I did-“

Chapel: “So who is she facing in the tournament? Who will she need to TEAR through to get her shot, when she’s CLEARLY not Autumn Valentine.”

We cut to see Autumn and Fall standing next to each other. Autumn looks rather annoyed.

Chapel: “So, her opponent? Hmmm?”

CHBK: “Lexy…If you had waited, you would have found out that someone in LexyCorp is in the tournament.”

Chapel: “You’re finally going to give Autumn her due? And LIE to Fall St. Patrick.”

CHBK: “She can still work her way up as well, Ravyn Taylor-“

Chapel: “What?! WHAT! THAT WITCH! THAT DEMON!”

Bree smirks.

CHBK: “Ravyn Taylor will face the Magical Cosmic Princess YUYO!”

Chapel: “You’re supposed to pick Fall! This is Fall’s shot. She’ll take Ravyn’s spot-“

CHBK ignores Chapel.

CHBK: “Bree…those are your eight potential options. Next week, one will make it through three matches to earn the title shot!”

Chapel: “Fall! FALL ST. PATRICK!”

Bree: “I look forward to it!”

Bree turns to CHBK, ignoring Chapel too. “This is How a Heart Breaks” plays as Bree Lancaster turns to Lexy and then Autumn, seemingly saying sorry to her before exiting the ring. CHBK goes to the ropes. Lexy goes over to stop him. CHBK pulls away and steps through the ropes to the floor.

Chapel: “Ravyn will turn it down! You know that! Fall St. Patrick is your future Wor-I mean Adrenaline Champion!”

Chapel turns to Autumn who now can be seen looking a bit more annoyed. Chapel tries to calm her down as Bree heads to the back, followed by CHBK a few strides behind.

Sharper: “There’s your field. Eight individuals, one night tournament, and Lexy Chapel…not the member of LexyCorp you thought.”

Knots: “Gives in Syren’s wins, but Ravyn gets the nod here!”

Autumn clearly is annoyed as Lexy tries to calm her down. Autumn just looks at CHBK and Bree as both head to the back.

Backstage, Glory Braddock and Brittany Lohan are talking backstage before we see TJ Johnson starting to head towards them. Glory gets Brittany’s attention and she turns to look at TJ. TJ heads over to them, somewhat concerned.

Johnson: “Ah…”

Brittany: “What do you want?’

Johnson: “Well, uh…it’s a special night and all and well…”

Johnson then produces a pink envelope, extending it first to Brittany, who doesn’t take it, before then doing so to Glory. Glory takes it.

Johnson: “We hope you can join us.”

Johnson turns and heads off. Glory looks at the envelope, opening it up and then sliding the card inside out.

Glory: “We are cordially invited to the Celebration of Life that is Katie Steward.”

Lohan: “Cordially invited…”

Glory: “Can’t turn that down.”

Lohan: “No we can’t.”

Glory shrugs as they then turn and head off as the scene cuts away.

COMMERCIALS

Breakdown returns as we see Ravyn standing outside of the locker room of LexyCorp. Lexy Chapel and Fall St. Patrick walk over to her.

Chapel: “Don’t you dare! Don’t say anything! What did you do? What voodoo or sorcery or….stupid stupidness did you pull?”

Ravyn: “I didn’t pull anything. I am as surprised as you are.”

Chapel: “I knew it…you’re now lying. And you’ve-“

Ravyn: “Where is Autumn?”

Chapel stops and turns around.

Chapel: “Fall…uh…wait….uh…Autumn. Where is Autumn? Oh God…She was pretty angry. And I don’t have peanut butter to calm her down. Oh God…oh God…okay, I got to focus on Syren-“

Ravyn: “Well she’s not here either.”

Chapel: “What?! Wait…you-“

Ravyn: “She left to talk to CHBK herself.”

Chapel: “Oh God!”

Chapel turns and pushes past Ravyn and runs off. Fall St. Patrick looks a bit lost before turning to Ravyn.

Ravyn: “How about we just allow you to rest in here? You’ve worked hard tonight.”

Ravyn leads Fall into the locker room as Breakdown cuts to the ring.

Derek Adonis rolls out atop the ramp on a cloud, alongside a number of the citizens of KABLAMia: Sweet Sangria, Mimi Mimosa, Het Meisje, and Anastasia Fantasia among them. The crowd rise to their feet in a raucous applause at the display of flesh in front of them...

Adonis partially rises to his knees, waving out to the crowd as chants of "KABLAM" ring out throughout the arena. The cloud continues to roll it's way down the ramp.

The women on the cloud toss out small, travel-sized bottles of Derek Adonis Heavy KABLAM Lubricant and folded up travel brochures to the crowd.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall with a fifteen minute time limit and is for the SCW Television Championship. First, the challenger, on his way to the ring, accompanied by the KABLAMia Tourism Department, from KABLAMia, he is Man Mountain, Derek Adonis!”

The cloud makes it to the bottom of the ramp and Adonis hops off first, reaching up to help the four primary women off. They step down, each planting a kiss on the cheek of Man-Mountain before heading up the stairs. Adonis follows up last and pulls himself through the ropes, lifting them for the four women to enter the ring as well.

After finishing (heh), Adonis moves to the middle of the ring, posing with the four women around him. As the song ends, he bellows out with it...

Adonis: "KABLAAAAAAAAAAAAM!"

Knots: “How do you think Derek will do here? I, for one, think Waylon Creek just wants a place to relax. He seems high strung.”

Sharper: “Let’s see how that goes. Derek Adonis challenging for the Television Championship tonight. He’s held it before. But he also has other plans.”

Knots: “Global domination for one.”

Sharper: “Stop it!”

Knots: “What? Give peace…and KABLAM…a chance, Sharper!”

The sound and image of a babbling brook overtake the PA and screen. Shortly after, a man dressed in a suit flickers onto the screen, standing in the middle of the creek, facing away from the camera. “Mountain Banjo” by Rhiannon Giddens comes over the system, and from behind curtain emerges a muscular figure in a skull mask, adorned by torn up flannels, being led by a black lab on a leash.

Phillips: “His opponent, from Wailing Creek, Idaho, he is the SCW Television Champion, Waylon Creek!”

The dog leads the way as Waylon Creek, carrying the SCW Television Championship, follows close behind, looking around the arena. He hands the dog off to a stage hand when he gets to the ring and appears to say something to the dog. The dog sits calmly as Creek enters the ring up the steps. He calmly goes to his corner without any posing. He hands his title to Jennifer Cassidy, the official, who promptly holds it over her head. The SCW Television Championship logo comes across the screen.

Sharper: “Creek meanwhile has slowly developed into a clear threat on this roster. He was impressive at Taking Hold of the Flame – the final four. He had a fight with Leroy Adams last week. He’s already holding SCW gold. And we don’t know what is next.”

Knots: “Someone is going to be in pain unless Derek Adonis offers him serenity in sunny KABLAMia!”

The bell sounds. Adonis smiles as he walks over, arms out, holding a pamphlet, pulled out from his back pocket. He steps forward and extends it to Waylon Creek. Creek looks at it and then grabs it. He then scans it, turning it around in his hand as Adonis turns, standing next to him and starts to point things out on the pamphlet. Creek slowly turns and looks at Adonis as Adonis is full into his pitch.”

Knots: “See! He just wanted a release!”

Creek continues to just look at Adonis as Adonis goes only a few moments longer before Creek kicks Adonis in the stomach. The crowd boos. Creek nails him with a hard right and then another kick. Adonis falls back into the corner. Creek kicks him again and again and again before leaning in and choking him in the corner.

Sharper: “Looks like Creek isn’t interested and instead is quickly assaulting Derek Adonis!”

Knots: “Well now he’s not going to be invited! What is wrong with you, Creek?!”

Sharper: “I don’t think he cares, Jon.”

Creek steps back as the official calls for the break. Adonis slowly pulls himself up and Creek runs at him and drills him with a vicious clothesline. Adonis drops down out of the corner. Creek watches him and stomps him in the head once and then again. Adonis rolls to the floor. (1) He stumbles over to the announce table. Creek steps through the ropes and drops down to the floor. (1) He walks over to Adonis and grabs his head and drives him face first into the announce table. (2) The crowd boos. Creek lifts his head up and drives it into the announce table again. (3) Adonis pops up and staggers back. He turns and Creek scoops him up and slams him on the floor. The crowd ohs. (4) Creek then grabs Adonis and slowly lifts him up. He turns and rolls him into the ring. (5) Creek slides in after.

Sharper: “Just knocking Adonis around. Slamming on the floor.”

Knots: “Good thing they have great massages in KABLAMia!”

Sharper: “He’ll need a few to deal with the bumps and bruises.”

Adonis rolls over and Creek gets up and drives his elbow into the back of Adonis. Adonis drops to the mat. Creek rolls him over and hooks the leg.

Adonis kicks out. Adonis rolls over and Creek grabs him and lifts him up and runs him face first into the corner. Adonis turns and Creek kicks him in the ribs and leans again, choking him.

Creek turns and glares at the official, causing him to back up.

Sharper: “Creek seems more driven than we’ve seen him. We’ve not seen him quite this aggressive.”

Knots: “Almost trying to choke the life out of him and make him pay for something. What did you say Derek in that pitch?!”

Creek turns back and Adonis runs out and just throws himself at Creek with a lunging clothesline. Adonis rolls through and starts to get up. He winces as Creek slowly gets up and turns and Adonis scoops him up and hits a fall forward slam. He hooks the leg.

Creek kicks out. He rolls over and Adonis get sup and clubs him in the back. He clubs him again and again. He then runs across the ring and Creek lunges with a hard back elbow to the jaw. Adonis hits the mat. He rolls over and Creek grabs him and pulls him up and hits a throat thrust. He then whips Adonis across the ring. Adonis bounces off and jumps up with a crossbody!

Creek kicks out.

Sharper: “Adonis nearly had Creek there. Creek wasn’t expecting that!”

Knots: “That may just make him angrier!”

Creek turns and slowly gets up and Adonis scoops him up and slams him. He runs into the ropes, bouncing off and hits a running elbow drop. Adonis gets up and hits a second elbow drop. He then gets up and pulls down his shirt before hitting a third one. He goes for the pin.

Creek kicks out again. Creek rolls over and moves to the corner. Adonis walks over and nails him with a hard right and then another and another before whipping him across the ring. Creek hits the corner. Adonis does a brief shimmy before running across, but Creek runs out and drills him with a hard clothesline. The crowd ohs as Creek falls to a knee. Adonis rolls over, stirring before Creek grabs him and kicks him in the ribs, bending him over and hoisting him up for a pumphandle slam and dropping him down. Creek jumps up and hits a knee drop to the throat. Adonis rolls over, coughing.

Sharper: “Creek again targeting the throat of Adonis.”

Knots: “How’s he going to spread the message?!”

Sharper: “Creek has a goal here and it’s not just to retain the title!”

Creek gets up and Adonis keeps coughing. He slowly gets up and turns and Creek walks up and locks in the Canary. The crowd roars. Adonis struggles, grabbing at the hand, but Creek pushes Adonis back to the mat.

The bell sounds. Creek then leans forward more, keeping the hold on. The official moves in and tries to get him to let go. The bell sounds again and Creek then stops and lets go and turns.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, and STILL SCW Television Champion, Waylon Creek!”

Sharper: “Creek didn’t let go. He’s been doing that the moment the bell rings.”

Knots: “Maybe he didn’t hear it?”

Sharper: “Consistently going after throat of Adonis. We hope Adonis is okay. Creek still the TV Champion though.”

Creek gets up and takes his TV Championship. He then turns and looks at Adonis before stepping past him and exiting to the floor. Creek walks over to Legion, taking his dog back from the crew member. Creek and Legion head to the back.

Backstage, we see Veronica Strader on her motorcycle backstage. She revs it a few times before stopping and turning off the ignition. She then looks at it before fiddling with something, seemingly unhappy with the rev.

Strader: “Sounds like something is off. Too bad Carebear can’t be here. We’d have at least two of us to get dumbfounded…I may have to drive by there given where we are…”

Strader talks to herself before we then hear a yell as we see Autumn Valentine running into the scene with a pipe and nailing Strader in the side. Strader falls over and in the process, the motorcycle falls over with her. Strader yells out as it partially lands on the leg before she manages to use her other leg to pry it off and slide out and Autumn then runs over and nails her in the left leg with the pipe.

Sharper: “Autumn Valentine has snapped!”

Knots: “She has many effs to give! She wanted in that tournament! She wanted in there.”

Sharper: “That motorcycle fell on Veronica Strader!”

Knots: “Good thing she’d been getting into the leg press!”

Veronica yells out as Autumn turns as Strader fights up to her feet only to turn and Autumn nails her in the leg again. Veronica goes down as the crowd ohs. Veronica yells out and reaches out as officials run into the scene. Autumn turns back and quickly Hiro Tanaka grabs the arm as Dean Black and Dillusion stand in her wait. Lucas Knight heads over to check on Veronica Strader, who clutches at her leg. Officials join him as the scene fades to black.

COMMERCIALS

Syren is leaving the office of CHBK. Lexy Chapel runs up to her.

Chapel: “What did you do?!”

Syren: “Nothing…just had an honest chat.”

Chapel: “Oh God! You challenged Xander again…or put your boobs on the line…or OH GOD! NO! NO! DAD! CHBK!”

Chapel runs to the door of CHBK’s office to pound her fist on it, but it opens. CHBK steps out.

Chapel: “DON’T LISTEN TO HER-“

CHBK: “Lexy…you have another problem and it’s not her.”

Chapel: “I have no problems. I have everyone under control!”

CHBK: “Autumn.”

Chapel: “Oh…uh…yeah…she’s not quite happy.”

CHBK: “And she just may have injured someone.”

Syren: “Autumn…”

Chapel: “Really?! Who?”

Chapel asks almost proud.

CHBK: “Just go back to your locker room…”

CHBK heads off as Lexy looks a bit concerned.

Deanna Frost vs. Bree Lancaster

The chords of "People Like Us" by Kelly Clarkson fill the arena, causing a roar from the audience as bright, fall leaves seem to blow and fly on the LED screens on and around the ramp. From the back curtain, out runs Deanna Frost, taking in the audience before running to the right side, then the left side, shouting to them in excitement. The 'leaves' follow her as she does. Returning to the middle, Deanna gives a spin on one foot, her arms outstretched, the 'leaves' circling her below her feet. The SCW United States Championship sits around her waist.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a thirty minute time limit. First, from Manhattan, New York, the SCW United States Champion, she is Deanna Frost!"

Hearing her name, Deanna stops her spin, side facing the ring, and, with one hand over her heart, her free hand arcs around to point forward, the 'leaves' flying down the ramp and 'circling the ring LED barriers. Making her way down to the ring, Deanna high-fives fans along the way until she reaches the ring. Sliding under the ring, the redhead jumps to her feet, making her way to the middle ropes and leaning over them, one arm raised to the crowd, holding up her SCW United States Championship. She does the same to the other sides of the ring! On the last time, Deanna hops back into the ring as the lights return to normal.

Sharper: “A title versus title match. These two have a long history. Last year, it was Deanna who beat Bree Lancaster at Rise to Greatness to win the title.”

Knots: “But both are doing their own thing. Bree will finding out her opponent next week for Rise to Greatness while Deanna has a lot of targets on her back. The Enigma for one. Matthew Knox is another.”

Sharper: “But Deanna’s not mentioned Knox and we know she’s focused on The Enigma. The latest news we’ve heard is that Deanna Frost has challenged the Enigma and let SCW official know. She’s trying to goad him out.”

The lights dim, only a few small ones on the stage as the voice of Bree Lancaster whispers:

“I am the light of the truth
The one who sees right through”

A guitar riff plays as the small lights dance around the stage, then suddenly stop, as one large beam shines down onto the figure of Bree herself.

“Spotlight”

The smaller lights begin again swirling as the music of “Spotlight” by Fozzy kicks in and Bree makes her way down the ramp. The SCW Adrenaline Championship is over her shoulder.

Phillips: “Her opponent, from New Orleans, Louisiana, she is the SCW Adrenaline Champion, Bree Lancaster!”

[I am the light of the truth, The one who sees right through
I know your every move, I got my eye on you
Go on and bury it down, I follow you 'til it's out
I got my eye on you, I got my eye on you]

Bree smiles at the front row fans as she gets to the ring and goes up the steps, stepping through the ropes. She goes to a corner and gets on the second turnbuckle, posing with one hand up overhead, holding up the Adrenaline Championship. The crowd cheers.

[You're the wicked, I'm a sharp knife
Shining on you like a spotlight
I'm a witness, I'm a dark night]

The lights go down, and one beam shines on Bree in the corner.

[You're a sickness, I'm your spotlight]

The lights come up and Bree hops down as the music fades out. Bree gets to her corner and looks around. She hands off her title.”

Sharper: “You said it Jon, she’ll be focusing on next week to find out who awaits her. But tonight, this could be one of those matches just for bragging points.”

Knots: “Definitely for bragging points. I’m sure backstage there’s an underground meeting of how many wins you have against the Frosts. Not every likes them.”

Sharper: “Although if we trust Enigma, something may be up there between Deanna and Selena if we read between the lines.”

Bree stretches out on the ropes as Deanna watches her. The bell sounds. The two step out and circle the ring. They then lock up in the middle. The crowd roars as they both push back on one another. Deanna gets the early advantage, pushing Bree back into the corner. Bree however steps forward and pushes her out. They spin around on the ropes and Bree ends up with the advantage in the end, getting Deanna into the corner. The official comes over, calling for the break.

Bree backs up and a clean break is had. Both Deanna and Bree nod as Deanna steps out. Bree watches her and then the two lunge and lock up again. They again try to push again one another, trying to get the advantage. Deanna gets a bit of an advantage early and Bree spins around, but Deanna spins through and into the ropes. Deanna pushes Bree back.

Deanna lets go and backs up. Bree nods as she walks out. Deanna hops in the middle of the ring, ready to go. The two lock up a third time.

Sharper: “Early chess match here.”

Knots: “They’re only taking pawns, but you can see both are seeing how they both feel.”

Deanna turns to move into a side headlock, but Bree slides out and then locks in one of her own. She then hits a side headlock takedown. Deanna counters with a headscissors. Bree nips out. Both get up and Deanna hits a hip toss. Deanna goes to grabs Bree, but Bree pushes her off with her feet. Deanna rolls back. Both get up and Deanna lunges only for Bree to hit a snapmare. She then steps forward and goes for a kick to the face. Deanna leans back and then pulls Bree down with a school boy after the miss.

Bree kicks out. Both get up and Bree takes Deanna down with an inside cradle.

Deanna kicks out. Both get up and Bree chops Deanna. The crowd woos. She chops her again. More woos.

Sharper: “Bree found the way to break this stalemate.”

Knots: “Just making it hurt!”

Sharper: “Hard chops after both trading anything to show how solid they feel in that ring.”

Bree then pushes Deanna into the ropes and fires her off. Deanna bounces off the other side and Bree steps up and hits a back elbow. She then goes for the pin.

Deanna kicks out. Bree gets up and Deanna rolls over to the ropes. She gets up and Bree follows up with a hard right and then another. She whips Deanna across the ring and Bree runs after. Deanna hits the corner and hits a back elbow. Bree staggers back. Deanna then jumps up off the bottom rope and then swings back, placing her legs on the shoulders of Bree before flipping forward, sending Bree face first into the middle turnbuckle. Deanna gets up and Bree turns around and Deanna kicks her in the ribs and hits a vertical suplex. She floats over for the pin.

Bree kicks out. Both women get up and Deanna catches Bree with a forearm as she gets up. She catches a second and gets Bree to the corner. She goes to fire Bree into the ropes, but Bree spins through and sends Deanna in. Deanna bounces off and Bree steps up only for Deanna to hit a flying forearm smash.

Sharper: “And Deanna off the rebound. Hard forearm to the jaw.”

Knots: “Better than that knee!”

Sharper: “Not wrong there.”

Bree rolls over and gets up and Deanna hits a dropkick and Bree falls back and rolls to the floor. (1) She slowly gets up on the floor. Deanna sees Bree in position and runs across the ring. She bounces off. (2) She lunges for the ropes and goes to dive through, but Bree jumps up and forearms Deanna in the face as she goes to dive through. Deanna falls back. Bree then grabs the top rope and pulls herself over in a slingshot into a corkscrew splash. She remains on her for the pin.

Deanna kicks out. Bree gets up as Deanna rolls over. She slowly gets up and Bree grabs her and clubs her in the back. She then throws her back with a snap back suplex.

Sharper: “Bree follows up with the back suplex. Simple move. Keeps her down.”

Knots: “And keeps Deanna trying to figure out where she is. Up, down, up, down.”

Deanna stirs and Bree grabs her and runs her into the corner. Deanna turns and Bree grabs her and runs out and hits a bulldog. She then rolls Deanna over and hooks the leg.

Deanna kicks out again. Bree turns and gets up as Deanna rolls over. Deanna gets up and Bree kicks her in the ribs and then forearms her. She pulls Deanna out and scoop slams her before standing next to her and hitting a standing moonsault into a pin.

Deanna kicks out again. Bree grabs her and pulls her up and moves her to the corner. Bree then kicks her in the ribs. Deanna responds with a hard right. Bree kicks her again. Deanna hits a hard right. Bree then knees her in the ribs and goes to run her out of the corner, but Deanna shoves her off. Bree hits the corner and backs up and into Deanna who hoists her up and hits a release German suplex.

Sharper: “Big German suplex. Deanna needed that. Needed to get that big slam in.”

Knots: “Bree was starting to build up the momentum and just getting almost comfortable.”

Bree slowly rolls over as Deanna gets up. She walks over to Bree and pulls her up before pulling her back and into a reverse DDT. She turns and hooks the leg.

Bree kicks out. Bree rolls over as he crowd cheers and Matthew Knox walks out from the back with a bucket of popcorn. He grabs a kernel and tosses it into his mouth as he slowly walks down. Deanna looks up and turns and grabs Bree and pulls her up. Deanna whips her into the ropes. Bree bounces off and Deanna hits a kitchen sink knee. Bree flips forward and rolls over. Deanna walks around the ring as Bree slowly gets up and Deanna heads over and hits a running sliding knee to the side of the head. Bree falls back. Deanna goes for the pin.

Bree gets her shoulder up. Deanna looks up as Knox walks closer to the ring, grabbing another kernel of popcorn and tossing it into his mouth. Deanna turns, noticing him briefly, but seemingly not registering, before turning back to Bree and catching her with a kick to the ribs as she gets up.

Sharper: “Deanna now in control, but Matthew Knox here at ringside.”

Knots: “He said he was targeting the longest reigning champ. That would be Deanna. Bree is after her.”

Sharper: “She’s already focused on The Enigma. Nonetheless, could even just be scouting.”

Knox looks on as Deanna kicks Bree again and whips her across the ring and into the opposite corner. Deanna runs after and hits a running double knee. She backs up and grabs Bree as she scoops her out and hits a Michinoku driver. She presses down for the pin.

Bree shoots her shoulder up. She rolls over and starts to stir. Deanna gets up and runs into the ropes. She bounces off and just then, Bree steps up, catching Deanna with a T-Bone suplex. Deanna rolls through and arches her back. She slowly gets up, using the ropes and Bree lunges and hits the Priceless. Deanna falls into the ropes. Bree then staggers forward and grabs the top rope and slingshots over with a leg drop to the back of Deanna’s head. Deanna falls back and Bree rolls into the ring. She crawls over and covers.

Deanna gets her shoulder up. Bree then turns and grabs the arm and pulls it over before locking in a crossface. The crowd roars. Knox looks on as Deanna yells in pain. Bree pulls back.

Sharper: “Crossface by the Adrenaline Champion. Deanna Frost in trouble!”

Knots: “Why not stretch that arm out a bit more!”

Deanna reaches out as Bree keeps pulling back. Deanna then starts to reach forward, slowly trying to crawl forward. She slowly moves herself closer to the ropes. Bree holds on as Deanna keeps fighting, moving closer and closer to the ropes. The official checks in, but Deanna ignores them, moving closer to the ropes. She then reaches out and touches the bottom rope before reaching out again and grabbing it.

Bree lets go and rolls over. She gets up as Deanna starts to pull herself up. Bree then pulls her up and hits a neckbreaker. She goes for the pin.

Deanna gets her shoulder up again. Bree rolls off as Deanna crawls over to the corner. She starts to get up and Bree turns and runs at Deanna, but Deanna manages to jump up and get her knees up. Bree staggers back and Deanna steps out and grabs Bree and hits the Spring Fling DDT. The crowd ohs. Deanna shakes out her arm and rolls over to the ropes.

Sharper: “Deanna fighting out and there’s the Spring Fling.”

Knots: “Yeah, but the arm is hurt and Deanna’s not following up with the pin.”

Sharper: “While Matthew Knox and, we assume, the Enigma look on!”

Deanna moves to the ropes as Knox looks on and turns around to Bree who stirs. Deanna scoops her up and slams her, wincing out her arm. Deanna turns and exits to the apron. She climbs up to the top rope. She looks down at Bree and hits an elbow drop. Deanna grimaces, rolling over, shaking out her arm and moving back to Bree and hooking the leg.

Bree gets her shoulder up. She turns and starts to get up as Deanna gets up and grabs her. She then clubs her in the back and goes to whip her into the ropes. Bree bounces off and Deanna catches her, spinning around her and then going for a German suplex. Bree however blocks it and elbow her in the jaw before spinning around with a standing switch. She runs Deanna forward into the ropes and Deanna holds onto the ropes. Bree rolls back. Deanna then turns and runs at Bree and clotheslines her down. She stops at the ropes and then sees Matthew Knox. Notably, Deanna now registers Knox, almost confused as to why he’s there. Knox just tosses a piece of popcorn into his mouth and Bree then rolls Deanna up in an Okana roll before bridging back.

Deanna kicks out as Bree rolls off and the bell sounds. Knox just sighs and throws some popcorn into the ring. He turns and then walks to the back. Deanna rolls over and looks up as Bree raises her arm.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Bree Lancaster!”

Sharper: “Deanna Frost…I thought she saw Knox earlier. But that look…”

Knots: “Not only that. She looked completely unsure why he was here.”

Sharper: “Has she been so focused on the Enigma? And where is he?’

Knots: “I don’t know, but Bree Lancaster just got one of her wins back over Deanna Frost!”

Bree gets up and celebrates as her music plays. Deanna looks around and then to Knox as Knox calmly heads to the back. Deanna seems deep in thought as Bree Lancaster plays to the crowd.

COMMERCIALS

Breakdown returns as Matthew Knox walks through the backstage area. SCW interview Destiny Page stops him.

Page: “Matthew Knox! Can I get a quick word?”

Knox steps forward.

Knox: “You love hearing us talk.”

Page: “After what just happened-“

Knox: “Nothing happened. I just thought I’d see my latest target. I said I’d go after the longest reigning champion. I make impacts. But now…if that’s your longest reigning champion…she looks a bit shaky. I don’t know. Maybe she needs to convince me she’s worth the time.”

Knox heads off as Page watches him leave.

Back at ringside, we see Glory Braddock and Brittany Lohan walking by ringside. Lohan looks at a crew member as they are directed to two folding chairs at ringside, both turned to the stage. Brittany Lohan just sighs and sits down on the folding chair and Glory Braddock sits down next to Lohan. Lohan folds her arms and leans back.

Sharper: “Welcome back to ringside. The number one contenders to the SCW World Tag Team Championship seemingly taking Katie Steward up on her invitation.”

Knots: “Well it is a historic moment here.”

Sharper: “We said last week – nineteen years almost to the day Katie debuted in SCW and she won the Tag Titles, finally earning the one title that’s eluded her.”

Knots: “Shhh! Shhh!”

The lights dim as the cameras turn to the entrance way and the big screen as a video plays.

“Goddess of Desire productions presents…”

Pink letter comes across the screen.

“The Queen of Queens…”

“A Goddess of Success…”

We then hear footsteps as Katie Steward is shown walking down a hallway in her wrestling attire. The cameras focus on the steps before we see Katie stop at the curtains. As we hear the roar of the crowd, “Keeps Gettin’ Better” by Christina Aguilera plays. We see shots of Katie Steward debuting with Explicit Content in 2005, joined by Shawn Winters, MV, Gina Pierce, and Violator. We see shot of Katie Steward distracting someone at ringside. Shots of Katie hitting Sparkle with the Platinum Blonde.

We then cut to see Katie Steward nailing Shilo with a steel chair, knocking him to the floor. We cut to her seeing Masquerade getting up and Katie nailing him in the back. TJ Johnson points as Katie then hits Masquerade with the Off with her Head. She drops down for the pin. The three count playing before we see Katie Steward looking at the World Championship while TJ Johnson jumps around the ring in celebrating.

We then cut to a replay of the end of last week’s match. Gigi then drops down as Luz and Amelia stop each other when going for the Wisteria Waltz. Katie then lunges and throws herself at Luz, crossbodying her down. Amelia turns a bit from the impact. Gigi then rolls her up.

The bell sounds. The crowd erupts as Gigi lets go as Amelia rolls over and Gigi turns and looks at Katie who looks stunned.

Phillips: “Here are your winners…and NEW SCW World Tag Team Champions…Katie Steward and Gigi Steward, Team Desire!”

Katie Steward lunges for Gigi and hugs her daughter. The crowd erupts as “Sweet but Psycho” plays throughout the arena. Amelia looks over disappointed as Luz slides back to the ropes. The crowd looks on as pyro shoots out of the ringposts and sparks go off above the ring. Katie and Gigi continue their embrace before they’re presented with the SCW World Tag Team Championship.

Sharper: “History has been made tonight in Miami. Katie Steward debuted in SCW back in 2005, almost to this date…nineteen years later, she is a Supreme Champion. She has held every title she could!”

Knots: “And Gigi got the win for her. The Stewards got it done!”

Katie Steward looks around as the crowd continues to cheer. She takes the World Tag Team Championship belt as TJ Johnson enters the ring. Luz and Amelia exit, giving her the ring, as Johnson raises Katie and Gigi’s arms. The crowd cheers some more as a “You Deserve It!” chant even breaks out. Katie looks around and takes it all in as Gigi stands to the side, applauding Katie. Katie starts to get a bit emotional as she then looks at the title in her hand. TJ then walks over to her and says something before asking her to place it around her waist. Katie obliges as TJ Johnson places the title around her waist and fastens it. Katie then looks up as the crowd continues to cheer. The scene fades out to black.

The scene opens back up live on Breakdown as the crowd applauds. Glory applauds as Brittany Lohan continues to sit, unimpressed, her arms across her chest. TJ Johnson comes out on stage and looks around.

Johnson: “Fans…it gives me great pleasure…as someone who has been in her corner for the better part of nearly two decades…she has done it all. Your GODDESS AND MINE…ONE HALF OF THE NEW SCW WORLD TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS…and YOUR NEWEST SUPREME…and ONLY SUPREME PLUS CHAMPION….THE GODDESS OF DESIRE, THE QUEEN OF QUEENS, KATIE STEWARD!”

The crowd roars as “Sweet But Psycho” plays throughout the arena. Pink spotlights come over the stage and the arena. A few moments pass before we see Katie Steward walking out from the back, joined by her daughter, Gigi. Katie turns to her and says something to her as Gigi turns and steps off to the side. Gigi carries her World Tag Team Championship belt, while Katie Steward wears her around her dress. Katie Steward moves to TJ Johnson and hugs him. She steps back and looks around before grabbing the microphone. She then looks around.

Katie: “Thank you…”

Katie Steward looks around as the crowd looks on. Some cheer.

Katie: “After nineteen long years…”

Katie looks down at the World Tag Team Championship around her waist.

Katie: “I have done it. I have held every title I could have. And to look back at what I have accomplished…Seven time Women’s Champion, first woman as World Champion…first all female World Championship match. Underground Championship, US, TV, Adrenaline….And now Tag Title.”

Katie smiles. The crowd cheers.

Katie: “I feel I need to make some thank yous.”

Lohan leans back, rolling her eyes a bit as she remains her with her arms crossed. Glory leans forward, trying to pay attention.

Katie: “TJ…”

Katie turns to TJ.

Katie: “You saw what I was capable of right from the start. You’ve been a confidant, a friend, a trainer…a hype-man. And I could not be here without you.”

TJ Johnson nods and touches his heart. Katie then turns and looks over to Gigi Steward.

Katie: “And Gigi…to think a year ago…I wasn’t sure if this would work. You had your goals. I had mine. But last week, you won the match. You were the one who ensured history took place. And for that, I cannot be any more proud of who you are. And I will do whatever I can to return the favour to help you meet your dreams.”

Katie smiles as Gigi smiles back. Katie then turns to the ringside area.

Katie: “And this brings me to what is next…Rise to Greatness.”

Katie shrugs.

Katie: “It’s a shame that Light in the Darkness had to come and face fate. I know you and Twisted & Sadistic have had their history…but as we said two weeks ago…I…and Gigi…we are directing this story. And that was the first plot twist and this takes us back to Rise to Greatness last year!”

Katie looks down at the ring.

Katie: “You, Glory, you set yourself against us. One of us was going to get our opportunity. Twisted & Sadistic beat Team Desire at Rise to Greatness. Well the rematch is here and a Hollywood ending is going to happen. A year in the making…we now enter as champions and we will win!”

Glory then stands up. The crowd roars. Lohan happily joins her. She looks at Glory as Glory starts to walk up the rampway. Katie Steward looks at them as Gigi walks over to stand next to Katie. TJ Johnson stands next to Katie too. Glory and Brittany walk up the rampway and up to the stage. The crowd grows in anticipation.

Sharper: “Katie appreciative of everything. Glory and Brittany, we now know why they were invited. Katie had a message for them.”

Knots: “And I don’t think they liked it!”

Glory and Brittany end up at the top of the stage, standing across from Katie, Gigi and TJ. Glory then grabs the microphone. Katie tries to stop her from taking it. TJ helps her and Gigi does too before Brittany grabs the microphone and just pulls it away. Katie glares at her and Lohan hands it to Glory. Glory looks at Katie and Gigi.

Glory: “Think whatever you want. But your movie…it’s going to end the same as it did last year. Just with one change. We’ll walk out World Tag Team Champions…that’s the film WE’RE directing and it was going to happen whether it was you…or Light in the Darkness.”

The crowd roars.

Glory: “Congratulations, Katie. Enjoy it. Because in about a month, the Goddess of Desire comes back to earth, becomes human again, and Twisted & Sadistic pick back up from where we left off at Retribution!”

Glory places the microphone in Gigi’s hand. Glory Braddock and Brittany Lohan then walk past the Stewards and TJ Johnson.

Backstage, Dean Black and CHBK talk outside of the trainer’s room.

Black: “Right now, too much early swelling. It’s looking bad though.”

CHBK: “Yeah…”

Black: “What are you thinking? We need to plan as if Veronica can’t compete next week.”

CHBK: “I know. And unfortunately, I only have one real option.”

Black: “You’re not going to reward Autumn.”

CHBK: “No…but sadly, I may be just giving Lexy what she wants. But they’re next in line as much as I hate it. Fall St. Patrick…you’re up.”

Black: “Oh God…”

CHBK: “You’re telling me.”

CHBK shakes his head as the scene fades out.

Xander Valentine vs. Autumn Valentine

A long church bell rings, once- twice- a third time as the crowd explodes. The lights go out as Xander’s voice echoes out over the sound system, increasing the intensity of the crowd’s roar.

“Never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.”

The few opening keystrokes of “Soul on Fire” by Last Internationale chimed. A lull before the storm as the crowd seems to calm for only a moment before Delila Paz’s blues dominate the audio.

“Some are born to kill

A singular light appears before the curtains, on the other side is the outline of a large man. On the screen, we’re shown Xander Valentine holding onto the bars of a prison cell. He starts to bend the bars before the scene blurs.

The curtain drops to reveal Xander. A quick salvo of pyros explodes in front of him before he steps through the smoke with an intense look on his face. He goes from one side of the stage to the next, yelling out to the crowd and throwing up his arms. He then stops at the top of the ramp and throws his arm up into the air. He starts down the ramp, Xander’s gaze affixed on the ring.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a twenty minute time limit. First, on his way to the ring, from Rochester, New York by way of Fort Collins, Colorado, he is the Paragon of Violence, the Executioner, Xander Valentine!”

Xander leaps up onto the apron in a single bound. Xander climbs up over the top rope and marches straight to the far side of the ring. He throws his arms up again, getting a massive pop. He goes to the opposite side and repeats to garner the same response. He hops down from the rope, and jogs into place, waiting for the bell.

Sharper: “I don’t know what to expect in this one. Xander Valentine seemingly punking out Kandis, or at least giving her something to think about. On the other side, a very angry Autumn Valentine.”

Knots: “Angry or frustrated?”

Sharper: “Does it matter?”

Knots: “One could involved her bringing a weapon.”

A woman’s voice can be heard as the video screens display the words she's saying in unison.

“Miss Nothing” by The Pretty Reckless hits the PA system as Autumn Valentine walks out onto the stage wearing a black jacket. Across her ring-gear we see the ‘Lexy Chapel Presents’ and ‘Chapel Show’ branding. She glances back at Lexy before pointing up. Lexy says something to try and calm her down, before Autumn turns and just storms down to the ring. Lexy tries to keep up a few strides behind her.

Phillips: “His opponent, hailing from Los Angeles, California, accompanied, and PROUDLY represented, by Lexy Chapel, this is Autumn Valentine!”

Autumn storms to the ring and rolls into the ring. She gets up and takes her jacket off only to then throw it at Xander’s face. Xander catches it. The bell sounds as Autumn runs at Xander and nails him with a series of hard right hands to the arm and the jaw.

Sharper: “And Autumn Valentine just going right at Xander!”

Knots: “Oh! She has a death wish instead! I always knew Lexy would drive someone-“

Sharper: “Stop it right there. We don’t need more complaints!”

Knots: “She’s already been just going after everyone!”

Autumn kicks Xander in the leg with a shoot kick and then again and again before Xander shoves her back by just pushing back on her face. Xander throws the jacket down as Autumn rolls through and gets up and runs over and kicks Xander in the leg again. She goes again, but Xander catches the leg and then lifts Autumn up and steps forward, throwing her back. The crowd ohs as Autumn slams to the mat. She rolls over and gets up and Xander walks over and knees her in the ribs. He then pushes her back and hits a left handed body-shot before a snap right jab and then another knee. He then whips her into the corner. Xander heads over and Autumn thumbs Xander in the eye.

Sharper: “Xander using those strikes to do some damage, but Autumn immediately going for the eye!”

Knots: “Autumn is full of piss and vinegar. And it’s not just because of Lexy. She wanted to be in that Adrenaline contendership tournament! Guess anger leads to new diet choices!”

Sharper: “What the hell are you on?”

Knots: “It’s an expression!”

Autumn pulls herself to the middle turnbuckle before diving off with a missile dropkick. Xander hits the mat. Autumn crawls over and goes for the pin.

Xander powers out. Autumn rolls over. She gets up and runs at Xander and kicks him in the chest as he gets up. She then hits another dropkick. Xander stumbles to the ropes. Autumn then gets up and runs at Xander who launches her over his head and up and over the top rope. Autumn drops down to the floor and rolls over after the impact. Lexy runs around the ring concerned.

Sharper: “And up and over! No good way to land. That’s just a drop! Gravity always wins.”

Knots: “Autumn can’t eye poke her way out of that.”

Autumn winces. (1) Xander just stands in the ring, backing up and giving her space. (2) Lexy goes over to check on Autumn. Autumn rolls over as the official tells Lexy to get back. (3) Autumn slowly pulls herself up and winces, limping a bit to the ring, showcasing the landing on her hip. (4) She then rolls into the ring and gets up, almost defiant and lunges at Xander who steps up and scoops her up, hitting a sidewalk slam. He pulls back on her legs.

Autumn kicks out. Xander rolls over and gets up as Autumn rolls over. She stirs and Xander walks over and knees her in the ribs again. He then whips her into the ropes. Autumn bounces off and Xander lifts her up and locks in a bearhug. He squeezes on her lower back. Autumn winces as Xander then swings her around. Lexy looks on, terrified, before Xander spins her down and into a bearhug slam. He again goes for the pin.

Sharper: “Xander using that strength again. Now where to go for Autumn except to accept it.”

Knots: “And then down!”

Autumn gets her shoulder up. Xander rolls off as Autumn rolls over. She slowly starts to crawl over to the ropes. Xander walks over and clubs her in the back. She drops down to a knee. Xander clubs her again and then grabs her and just throws her back. Autumn hits the mat and rolls through. She gets to her knees and gets up and Xander steps up and Autumn again hits a shoot kick to the leg. Xander winces and Autumn hits a dropkick to his left knee. Xander drops down to a knee. He gets up and Autumn hits an enziguri kick. Xander drops back down, this time to his hands and knees. Autumn then rolls over to the apron. She pulls herself up to her feet on the apron.

Sharper: “Autumn again just fighting! Just almost trying to get all of that anger out.”

Knots: “Xander’s a big punching bag. But he punches back.”

Sharper: “She’s got something in mind. Now to the apron!”

Autumn then springboards to the top rope and dives forward and hits a spinning heel kick to the head of Xander. Xander goes down. Lexy jumps up overjoyed. Autumn crawls over and hooks the leg.

Xander gets his shoulder up. The crowd ohs as Autumn rolls off. She looks around and gets up and turns and walks over to Xander. She starts to pull him up. Xander turns as Autumn pulls him up by his head. She then pulls him in for the Pink Whisper, but Xander then hoists her up and back drops her. Autumn hits the mat and rolls over and gets up. She then lunges at Xander who grabs her by the throat. He then hoists her up and hits a one-armed chokeslam. The crowd ohs. Xander walks around the ring.

Sharper: “And a thunderous chokeslam!”

Knots: “Xander seems to want to test the structural integrity of the ring with every slam!”

Sharper: “Nothing held back by the Executioner!”

Autumn rolls over and gets up and Xander knees her in the ribs before hooking her head. He then hoists her up and holds her up with one arm. The crowd roars as Xander looks up at her. Autumn remains up as the blood flows down to her head and Xander the drops down with a brainbuster DDT. The crowd ohs. He turns and moves into the lateral press.

Autumn shoots her shoulder up and rolls to her side. Xander looks down and her and nods before grabbing her by her hair and pulling her up. The official warns Xander about the hair pull. Lexy makes quite the commotion about it at ringside before Xander whips Autumn into the corner. Xander runs after and hits a running clothesline. The crowd ohs. Xander whips Autumn across the ring to the opposite corner. Xander runs after and nails her with a second corner clothesline. The crowd ohs as Xander pulls her out and places her head between her legs and hoists her up and hits a sitout powerbomb.

Autumn kicks out again. Lexy shouts out “Yes!” as Xander looks over. He then starts to get up. Autumn rolls over to the apron.

Sharper: “And Autumn has slowed down here as Xander has just made everything so damn punishing.”

Knots: “He’s also like three times the size of Autumn Valentine!”

Xander walks over to Autumn on the apron and grabs him, pulling him up, only for Autumn to hit a jumping enziguri kick to the face of Xander. Xander staggers back. Autumn then springboards to the top rope and dives forward, grabbing Xander’s head and hitting a springboard tornado DDT! The crowd roars. Autumn rolls away and slowly gets up. Xander slowly rolls over and up to his feet only for Autumn to hit a spinning back kick. She then does the C gesture before completing the DOUBLE EFF YOU with a thrust kick to Xander’s face. The crowd ohs. Autumn goes for the pin.

Xander gets his shoulder up. Autumn rolls off and moves to the corner. Lexy Chapel then moves over to Autumn and starts to call for a superkick. Autumn tells her to calm down as Xander slowly rolls over and gets up.

Sharper: “Autumn almost got Xander there. But now setting up for something-“

Knots: “Superkick maybe? That’s what Lexy wants!”

Sharper: “Autumn is trying to focus.”

Knots: “Now remember! Happy wife, happy life, Autumn!”

Autumn then lunges and goes for the superkick, but Xander catches it and spins her around. He then pulls her back and locks her back with the Fade to Black. Autumn struggles as Lexy looks on stunned. Xander pulls back as Autumn reaches out, flailing before starting to go limp. The official checks on Autumn. He then calls for the bell. The bell sounds. Xander lets go.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via submission, Xander Valentine!”

Sharper: “And Autumn went, Xander caught her.”

Knots: “Under Lexy’s orders and-“

Sharper: “Xander victorious! But wait…wait! Kandis! Scott!”

Xander walks around the ring and goes to have his arm raised, but we then see Kandis and Kirsten Scott running down to the ring. They slide in and Xander turns and nails Scott with a hard right before Kandis runs at Xander and spears him down. The crowd ohs and Kandis nails Xander with several hard right hands. Xander covers up, trying to keep her off. Kirsten Scott gets up and runs over as Xander pushes Kandis off and Kirsten stomps Xander in the chest. The crowd roars as Scott gets several good shots in and Kandis then comes over and does the same. They stomp away on Xander as Lexy tries to get Autumn out of the ring. We then see Scott Reed running out from the back.

Sharper: “Kandis who has progressively just gotten more and more angry-“

Knots: “Here comes Scott Reed! The ceasefire is over!”

Scott Reed runs down to the ring and slides in and Kirsten Scott turns and Reed nails her with a couple of hard rights before turning and nailing Kandis. He turns and grabs Kirsten and goes to whip her into the ropes, but Kirsten ducks under and pulls him into a knee. She shoves back and into Kandis who hits a Starmaker. Reed goes down. Xander grabs at the ropes as Kirsten and Kandis return to their first target. They start to stomp away on him before the crowd roars again.

Sharper: “Scott Reed dispatched. Kirsten and Kandis are very much on the same page-“

Knots: “And this could get interesting! Syren!”

Syren runs out from the back. The crowd cheers. She runs down and slides in. She gets up and Kandis glances back only for Syren to run at her and hit the Face Lift. The crowd ohs. Kirsten Scott turns and nails Syren with a hard right. Syren fires back. They trade blows before Syren gets the advantage kicks her in the ribs and goes for the Total Makeover. Kirsten Scott shoves her back and rolls out of the ring. Kandis does too. Lexy just looks up.

Lexy: “What are you doing?!”

Syren stands guard over Xander as Kandis and Kirsten Scott meet up again. Scott Reed stirs in the ring, holding his head. Syren turns and looks at Xander. Xander looks at her. Syren extends an arm. The crowd roars. Xander looks at her and Syren pulls him up. Lexy looks on wide-eyed. Kandis and Kirsten Scott both look on, annoyed and frustrated.

Sharper: “Syren is helping Xander Valentine up!”

Knots: “Lexy Chapel is beside herself! And Kandis and Kirsten Scott are pissed off! They had Xander!”

Kandis looks at Xander as Xander glances at Kandis before turning to Syren. Kirsten Scott watches her as Scott Reed looks at Kirsten Scott.

Backstage, we see Amelia Blythe and La Pequena Luz standing outside of the office of CHBK. CHBK heads back to the office, taking off his blazer. He opens the door and turns to them.

CHBK: “Amelia, Luz, what can I do for you.”

He folds the blazer over and places it on a chair in the corner. Amelia and Luz follow him in and both look at each other, seemingly both looking to get the other to start. CHBK turns around.

CHBK: “What can I do for you?”

Amelia: “Alex…uh…well, as we lost the World Tag Team Championship…we’re sorry. I know that fans of SCW were looking forward to finally having closure in this rivalry we’ve had with Twisted & Sadistic. But…”

Luiz: “Twice in a row, we’ve lost before that big match. Lost the titles in Breakdown matches…both crowning a supreme champion. We’re not ready to be champion again.”

Amelia: “And so…we wanted to…we realize we need a penance and to prove to ourselves….We want a new condition placed on us.”

CHBK looks at the two, almost incredulous.

CHBK: “What would this condition be?”

Amelia turns to Luz and Luz back before she nods.

Amelia: “We wanted to beat everyone on the roster…before we get another shot.”

Sharper: “What?”

CHBK is shocked.

Amelia: “We assure you we’re serious.”

Luz: “We need to prove to-“

CHBK: “I’m sorry, but that’s biggest bunch of bullshit I’ve ever heard.”

The crowd roars. Luz and Amelia are now shocked.

CHBK: “You are both international stars. Amelia from Britain; Luz from Mexico. You are already a two time World Tag Team Champion. You’re both former TV Champions. You both could hold other titles and because you lost to one of the most decorated individuals in SCW history, you want to run some meaningless gauntlet?”

Luz and Amelia again are stunned.

CHBK: “Oh, and you lost to Twisted & Sadistic before that. Yeah, it sucks. Two supreme champions crowned against you. It would bother me too, but it would bother me to step up and prove that I’d have the last laugh.”

CHBK scoffs.

CHBK: “I used to think Syren was bad in letting it all get to her. Or Jason Zero…this….”

CHBK sighs.

CHBK: “You want to murder your careers. I’ll agree to this. But may I remind you, you have a World Tag Team Championship rematch still. And I know, I know…you don’t want to use it. Stewards beat you. You’re both too nice for the wrestling business. This is why you’re here in this locker room, acting like you did something wrong that deserve a massive penance. YOU LOST. Get the hell over it! You’re one of the top tag teams in PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING. And I want THAT showcased at Rise to Greatness. Not your self-pity. So…right now, I have a contract. For Rise to Greatness…Team Desire defending against Twisted & Sadistic…and Light in the Darkness!”

CHBK looks at Luz and Amelia.

CHBK: “I still have a problem with how Glory and Brittany did, even if I may have done the same thing back in the day…but they jumped through the hoops I set up. They are being rewarded if you don’t step up. They even ran you ragged by encouraging you and putting themselves in circumstances that required you to join my team to keep the order. You don’t think that played a role, even if you’ll never admit it, in what happened last week.”

Luz and Amelia look at one another.

CHBK: “But that’s the thing…you’re too nice for the wrestling business. And if you want to throw it all away on what from my eyes is unnecessary penance…fine. Then so be it. I’ll rip up the contract. But just note…you’re making it very easy with your idea, for me, come October, when your contracts are up, to reconsider what SCW offers.”

CHBK sits down.

CHBK: “I think you should take some time to think about it. Because I’m not going to complicit in watching one of the bright young teams in SCW and in professional wrestling throw it away because of a crisis in confidence!”

Amelia goes to respond, but Luz stops her. Luz then nods as the two walk off. The crowd buzzes as Breakdown cuts to commercial.

COMMERCIALS

Breakdown returns as the cameras pan across the arena.

Sharper: “Welcome back to Breakdown. We have a special treat. Last week, Jaina Lancaster was able to catch up with newcomer Leroy Adams. Unfortunately due to time constraints, we were unable to show the interview before his brawl with Waylon Creek. Let’s take a look.”

BREAKDOWN – Recorded last week

Jaina Lancaster smiles as Leroy Adams stands next to her, seemingly a bit nervous.

Jaina: “Thank you Adam. I’m here with Leroy Adams. Leroy, you’re going to be in action later tonight against Waylon Creek for the SCW Television Championship. A bit opportunity and you’ve impressed so far in short order. Last week, we noticed you weren’t here. I hope all is alright.”

Leroy: “Well…uh…as you know, some of us are still new to this wrestling thing. While I rather a rookie, I’m only on a handshake deal. That means, I only get paid if I compete and well, I’m not booked every week and I can’t afford to come and just hang out the boys so…I apologize to that other interviewer. What’s her name?”

Jaina: “Destiny.”

Leroy: “Yeah…saw she was looking fer me…but that’s why tonight could be game-changin’. Winning the TV Title. On every week. Get the bonus…Almost a dream. And I’m gonna give it the best I can. I have nothing more I can do because it’s everythin’ I’m fightin’ for. And hopefully, I’ll keep workin’ up the card and ....I won’t be harder to find.”

Jaina: “Thank you and good luck later tonight.”

Leroy nods as the Breakdown logo comes up on the screen.

We return to ringside where Adam Sharper and Jonathan Knots at the announce table.

Sharper: “Seeing that now, after Leroy fell short. It’s a shame, but we’re all pulling for him.”

Knots: “He looked great at Taking Hold of the Flame. Creek just is on another level and hopefully Creek and Adams clash again. Just hope he gets more opportunities. It’s rough out there, but SCW taking a chance on the rookie and…seems like a good guy.”

Sharper: “Just down to earth. Sometimes we need more of that around here-“

Sharper stops in mid-sentence as the cameras catch Simon Lyman walking down from the back in his white robe.

Sharper: “What is he doing here?”

Knots: “No music. This has to be serious. This isn’t a sermon from the mount!”

Simon Lyman then walks around the ring. Fans boo him as he walks past but Simon Lyman looks down and shakes his head. Lyman walks around the ringpost and along the next side of the ring, walking over to the announce position.

Sharper: “Simon. What are you doing? We’re live.”

Lyman: “I know Brother Sharper, but you and I need to have a heart to heart talk.”

Knots: “Do you need saving Sharper?!”

Sharper: “I don’t think so.”

Lyman: “Oh you do.”

Sharper: “Excuse me?”

Lyman: “The lies and slander coming from you as you sit here…did you hear yourself? You even referred to me as a son of a bitch last week? For simply doing the work I was put on this earth to do.”

Sharper: “You are a son of a bitch. Everything you’ve been claiming-“

Lyman then reaches over and grabs Sharper by the collar. Sharper puts his hands up.

Sharper: “Alright…relax-“

Lyman: “I am already calm Brother Sharper. You are the one who is not.”

The crowd roars realizing what is going on.

Sharper: “Just…no need to physically-“

Lyman: “Oh I think I do. From your terrible language, your insults…I also know you have sat here and made excuse after excuse after excuse for HER…”

Sharper: “She-“

Lyman: “She what, Adam? What? Is a philanderer? A drunk? A failure? A sinner? A soulsucker on all those around her? A manipulator? TELL THE TRUTH, Brother Sharper and you may be saved.”

Sharper: “She’s a human. She made mistakes. She was an addict-“

Lyman then pulls Sharper a bit more over the announce table.

Knots: “Whoa! Easy! It’s not that reinforced!”

Sharper: “What are you doing?”

Lyman: “Seems like you need to be saved and that means I need to do this or you’ll not stop suggesting SHE has done NOTHING wrong!”

As Lyman pulls Sharper over the announce table, the crowd erupts in cheers. Lyman pulls Sharper to the ground. Sharper falls to his knees and Lyman looks at him before placing his hand on his head. The reason for the cheers is realized when we see Amy Chastaine running up behind Lyman and spinning him around and hitting the Lightning Strike. The crowd cheers as Lyman falls back and rolls over. Amy turns and checks on Adam Sharper. Sharper waves her off as he pulls at his collar. Lyman then gets up and runs at Amy and Amy hip tosses him down. Lyman rolls over, the robe covering his face and he falls back over. Chastaine watches him before turning and going over to the ring. She lifts up the ring skirt before pulling out a steel chair. Lyman throws his robe off and gets up, ready to fight, before stopping and seeing Chastaine brandishing the steel chair. Chastaine points it at Lyman.

Knots: “This may be the time to run, Simon!”

Lyman looks at her.

Lyman: “Of course you need a weapon. You can’t even fight for yourself! Your time is coming!”

Lyman points at her as Elijah Smith and Lisa Archer are now at ringside. Elijah tries to get Simon to leave as Lisa Archer looks around, watching the fans. Simon starts to back away as Amy Chastaine keeps guard over Sharper and the scene cuts away.

COMMERCIALS

Breakdown returns as we see James Evans in the bowels of the building, SCW cameras having found him. He just slowly lifts his head and looks at the camera.

James: “Marie…you dodged a bullet, but one that I am still not yet done firing.”

James takes a deep breath.

James: “I have not finished my goals. Kim, this is just getting started and tonight, was just another round in our continuing war. I will not rest until you are done. And until the Underground Division is done. You just got a reprieve after Retribution…and I am now back.”

James then pauses again.

James: “And Eavan…you will be my target soon enough. Kim no longer as champion is already a victory, but that title existing…no. You were just in the right place at the right time. You don’t thank me…good. But you are just a placeholder until I can finally end this disgrace. You are just as weak as Kim…and as Marie.”

James stands up.

James: “This is my only warning. I’m just getting started.”

James then walks past the camera.

Breakdown return to ringside. We see Adam Sharper drinking some water and trying to recompose yourself.

Knots: “You okay, Sharper?”

Sharper: “Yeah…I…”

He takes some more water.

Sharper: “On with the show…”

The Enigma vs. Crystal Zdunich

The entire arena fades to black as we are left in nothing but darkness. All of a sudden Crystal's voice can be heard all throughout the speaker systems.

"YOUR SMILE MAKES MY HEART EXPLODE... THANK YOU FOR WAKING ME UP!!!!"

As soon as that is said explosions can be heard going off as we are treated to some flame pyros.

Smile Bomb by 17thekid plays across the speakers and it is at that moment when the crimson red haired "Burning Rose" Crystal Zdunich walks from the curtains. She makes her way to the ring. Crystal is focused as she walks to the ring with a purpose.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a fifteen minute time limit. First, from Los Angeles, California…She is the Burning Rose, Crystal Zdunich!”

She however slaps the outstretched hands of fans along the way. She runs up the stairs and walks to the middle of the apron. She flicks her hair before she drops down into a split that gains the pop of the entire crowd. She slides into the ring and as soon as she is inside she kips up to her feet. She tosses her Shoto inspired hoodie out of the ring as she awaits the start of the match.

Sharper: “Zdunich renewing her rivalry with The Enigma again tonight. Earlier this year, they had some clashes, but I don’t know if this is the time of the year to do that.”

Knots: “Not when the Enigma has ramped things up big time.”

Sharper: “Still surprised we did not see or hear from him earlier when Deanna Frost faced Bree Lancaster.”

The arena falls into complete darkness as a haunting melody, “Whispers of the Abyss,” begins to resonate throughout. Eerie silence sweeps over the audience, and a sense of anticipation builds. Suddenly, a soft, bluish glow illuminates the entrance ramp. Mysterious mist billows out, creating an otherworldly ambiance. The crowd hushes, waiting in awe for The Enigma’s arrival.
A spotlight turns on, revealing The Enigma standing at the top of the entrance ramp. The crowd roars.

Phillips: “Her opponent, from Parts Unknown, he is the Enigma!”

The Enigma descends the ramp. The mist swirls around his feet, concealing his every step, as if he is a specter emerging from the abyss. The audience looks on, several buzzing, as he reaches the ringside area. He ascends the steel steps, never breaking eye contact with his opponent. His gaze remains hidden behind the mask, adding to the mystique surrounding him. Inside the ring, The Enigma spreads his arms wide, and the eerie mist intensifies, shrouding the entire ring. The audience is captivated by the mystical display before them. The haunting melody of “Whispers of the Abyss” reaches its crescendo. The Enigma drops to one knee, his cloak sweeping the canvas. He raises his arms, and the mist begins to dissipate. As the music fades, The Enigma remains in the center of the ring.

Sharper: “The Enigma is here.”

Knots: “For once not jumped and I assume that’s actually him.”

Sharper: “No followers? No fake Enigmas? No mind games.”

Knots: “Yet.”

The bell sounds. Zdunich looks across at the Enigma, her eyes darting around the arena. The Enigma remains stoic in the middle of the ring. Zdunich then turns and runs at him and nails him with a hard forearm shot to the chest. The Enigma absorbs it and Zdunich rears back and strikes him again. She nails him again and again. Enigma staggers back and into the ropes. Zdunich hits him another time and then goes to whip him across the ring. Suddenly, the Enigma spins through and sends her in. She jumps up and hits a spinning heel kick. The Enigma goes down. Zdunich goes for the pin.

Enigma kicks out emphatically. He turns and slowly gets up as Zdunich turns and clubs him in the back once and then again and again. She then runs across the ring, bouncing off and The Enigma suddenly gets up, lunging and drilling Zdunich in the jaw with a clothesline.

Sharper: “The Enigma just absorbed all of those strikes. Zdunich trying to put more behind them.”

Knots: “And The Enigma just said no.”

Zdunich rolls over, holding her jaw and gets up and turns and The Enigma hits a spinning clothesline, knocking her down. She turns and Enigma grabs her and looks into her face, grabbing it by both hands before then turning and running her into the corner. The Enigma follows up with a hard right and then a left and then a hard right before grabbing her and hitting a beal out of the corner. The crowd ohs. Zdunich rolls over. She slowly gets up and Enigma heads over to her and Zdunich jumps up and hits a desperation dropkick. The Enigma staggers back. Zdunich gets up and turns and runs it the corner, climbing up to the top rope and hitting a moonsault, knocking Enigma back and into a pin.

Enigma kicks out. Crystal rolls off and gets up and moves to the ropes .She runs into them and handsprings out for the Smell the Roses, but Enigma reaches up and grabs her by the throat. He slowly gets up.

Sharper: “My God! He caught her! He caught her by the throat!”

Knots: “Oh this is going to be bad for Zdunich! Real bad!”

Enigma gets up, still holding on before then pulling her in for the Cryptic Slam. The crowd ohs. Enigma then turns and exits to the apron. He doesn’t hesitate as he climbs up to the top rope. The crowd roaring as he does. He then looks down at Zdunich before diving off and hitting the Shadowfall. The crowd ohs. Enigma moves off of Zdunich as Zdunich rolls over, still down.

Sharper: “That elbow! Right to the chest of Zdunich!”

Knots: “Just think of that weight coming down on you.”

Sharper: “Zdunich has to be out, and yet, this match, still going.”

Zdunich looks down as The Enigma stands over her. He then grabs her by the hair and drags her up. He looks at Zdunich as The Enigma then whips her into the corner. The Enigma walks around the ring before running at Zdunich. Zdunich gets a boot up. The crowd roars. Zdunich then jumps to the middle rope and hits a sloppy corkscrew moonsault, out of desperation, but enough to take Enigma down. Enigma rolls through and starts to get up. Zdunich gets up and looks at him, staggering. Enigma gets to his feet and Zdunich goes for the Flashing Lights. Enigma staggers as Zdunich then runs into the ropes, bouncing off and then runs at Enigma. Enigma scoops her up as she goes for the tilt-a-whirl DDT, but instead Enigma catches her and then spins her around into the Enigma’s Embrace. Zdunich struggles as Enigma just leans over her shoulder, seemingly whispering to her as he pulls back on Zdunich. Zdunich struggles before starting to nod yes. The official calls for the bell. Enigma keeps the hold on a bit longer before then throwing her down. The bell sounds.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via submission, The Enigma!”

The Enigma then looks down at Zdunich as he looks around, the lights flickering.

Sharper: “The Enigma emphatic in this victory. Zdunich tried to fight, but…”

Knots: “Maybe he let her? Deanna Frost, all true grit…Zdunich showed that heart, you think?”

Sharper: “With the Enigma anything is possible.”

The Enigma then heads over to Zdunich as official tries to keep him back. Eventually, Jennifer Cassidy, the official backs away. The Enigma heads towards her as we see Deanna Frost running out from the back. The crowd cheers as Deanna jogs down to the ring and slides into the ring. The Enigma then turns, snapping his head towards her. Deanna gets up, stopping and looking right at The Enigma. The Enigma then cocks his head as Jennifer Cassidy helps Crystal Zdunich out of the ring.

Sharper: “Deanna Frost coming to the ring, perhaps saving Jennifer Cassidy.”

Knots: “Whatever he did to Jessica Winters…you don’t think-“

Sharper: “I don’t know-“

Deanna goes to say something before The Enigma’s voice suddenly booms over the soundsystem.

Enigma: “You challenged me to a match any time, any place, with your United States Championship on the line, Deanna…Do you still not understand what you are up against?”

Deanna, defiantly, steps up.

Deanna: “I am not going to let you keep terrorizing people, Jessica, EVERYONE!”

The Enigma doesn’t react. His voice just returns.

Enigma: “Well I accept.”

The crowd cheers. Deanna nods, showing a bit of trepidation.

Enigma: “And I will destroy you and your hopes, on the most important night of the year….see you…on July 27^th.”

The Enigma then extends his arms as the black mist starts to push into the ring. The lights go out and the crowd roars. Cell phone lights come on all over as the lights remain out for several moments before returning. Deanna stands in the ring, the black mist starting to dissipate. Deanna looks around.

Sharper: “The Enigma accepting and then into the mist.”

Knots: “Hold on, hold on…July 27…Rise to Greatness is July 28^th.”

Sharper: “He chose the pre-show?”

Deanna Frost looks around as the scene cuts away.

COMMERCIALS

Josh Hudson vs. Polly Pingotti

"Duality” blares through the PA system.

"I push my fingers into my eyes..."

The cameras show the crowd who begin cheering before zooming in at the entrance way, where Josh Hudson steps out.

"It's the only thing that slowly stops the ache
But it's made of all the things I have to take
Jesus, it never ends, it works it's way inside
If the pain goes on...I'm not gonna make it!"

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall for TV time remaining and is your main event of the evening. First, on his way to the ring, from New York City, New York, he is the 2024 Taking Hold of the Flame winner, he is Josh Hudson!”

He wears a sleeveless black hoodie as he slowly makes his way down the ramp. He reaches the bottom of the ramp, and he looks out to the crowd before making his way up the ring steps and climbs into the ring.

"I have screamed until my veins collapsed
I've waited as my time's elapsed
Now, all I do is live with so much hate
I've wished for this, I've bitched at that
I've left behind this little fact
You cannot kill what you did not create
I've gotta say what I've gotta say
And then, I swear, I'll go away
But I can't promise you'll enjoy the noise
I guess I'll save the best for last
My future seems like one big past
You're left with me 'cause you left me no choice..."

He goes to the bottom right-hand corner, climbing to the top rope.

"I push my fingers into my eyes

Hudson is shown staring out at the crowd once again, as he lifts both fists into the air, earning more cheers before he climbs down and leans into the turnbuckle, waiting for the match to begin.

Sharper: “Josh Hudson in action on Breakdown here on the push for Rise to Greatness. We saw Polly Pingotti, his opponent tonight, part of that match for revenge against Selena Frost last week. Tonight, Josh wanted to give Polly the one on one match she wanted against Selena, but against himself.”

Knots: “Giving himself his own trap match.”

A coin can be heard dropping into a coin slot. A few seconds pass, which is when an open field is shown up on the SCW tron. A flock of birds rise up from the tall grass and fly away as the sound of a piano can be heard playing, leading into the opening of "Bird Set Free" by Sia. The moment the opening words are heard, Polly steps out from the back and stands at the forefront on the stage. She looks up at the tron to see one straggling bird rise up from the grass all by its lonesome. Polly admires the one small bird that begins to fly away now too until Sia reaches the chorus, which is when she turns around as a pair of pyros goes off on each side of the entranceway. The nearest camera catches her piercing bright green eyes as she begins to walk down the ramp and down to the ring.

Phillips: “His opponent, making her way to the ring, from Panguitch, Utah, Polly Pingotti!”

Polly does smile but only briefly as she turns her attention to the task at hand. She can hear the usual mix of cheers and boos, leaning more towards cheers than boos. She gives one full look around the arena before she slides into the ring under the bottom rope. Once inside the ring she stands right up, closes her eyes, and presents a flying motion. She opens her eyes back up and light on her feet chooses a corner of the ring to wait in. With her arms now back at her sides, her focus builds on the fight that she is about to go through.

Sharper: “And Polly with more and more confidence by the week. She has been acting like she believes she should be at the top of the card and now, for the second week in a row, getting that opportunity.”

Knots: “Almost won last week too despite all of the insanity!”

Polly looks at Josh as the bell sounds. Josh comes out and Polly runs at him and ducks under and around him and goes for a side headlock. Josh slips out and wrenches the arm of Polly and then pulls her in and into a fireman’s carry takedown. Josh then holds on as Polly gets back up. Josh then wrenches the arm again. He whips Polly into the ropes. Polly bounces off and Josh hits a hip toss. Polly rolls over and gets up and Josh grabs her again and hits another fireman’s carry takeover. He moves into a reverse chinlock. Polly stomps the mat in frustration as he looks around, grabbing at Josh’s arm.

Sharper: “Josh looking sharp, looking smoother.”

Knots: “Yeah and making a point. He’s challenging for the World Title in a month. He’s making sure the world knows how good he’s feeling, he’s looking. All that.”

Polly holds on and turns to her knees. She starts to slowly get up and Josh gets up with her. Polly elbows him in the ribs once and then again before then hitting a snapmare. Josh rolls through and gets up. Polly hits a dropkick. Polly goes for the pin.

Josh kicks out. Both get up and Polly chops him. The crowd woos. She then goes to whip him across, but Josh spins through and sends her in. Polly bounces off and Josh hits a back elbow. Polly rolls over and moves to the ropes. She gets up and Josh walks over and nails her with a hard right. He whips her across the ring and Polly bounces off only for Josh to hit a back body drop. Polly rolls over to the ropes.

Sharper: “And Josh keeping it simple so far.”

Knots: “Yeah, but Polly, you can see it. Almost like that bubbling rage.”

Polly gets up and Hudson walks over and knees her in the ribs and moves her into the corner. Hudson then buries his shoulder in her ribs. He rears back and shoulder thrusts her again. He then whips Polly across the ring. Josh turns and runs after as Polly reaches the corner and flips up and over and to the apron. Josh stops at the corner and Polly forearms him in the jaw. She then climbs up to the top rope and dives off with a crossbody, but Josh rolls through into a pin of his own.

Polly kicks out. Both get up and Polly runs into the ropes, bounces off, and ducks a Josh Hudson clothesline attempt. Polly bounces off the other side and takes Josh down with a flying headscissors. Josh gets up and turns and Polly jumps up and hits another dropkick.

Sharper: “Pingotti with another dropkick. She’s showing some heart against the much more experienced Josh Hudson.”

Knots: “And Hudson may be as good as we’ve ever seen him. And Pingotti is fighting!”

Hudson gets back up and Polly runs into the ropes, bouncing off and leapfrogs over Hudson before reaching back and grabbing his head and driving him down into the mat with a facebuster. She rolls over and rolls him over, going for the pin.

Josh Hudson kicks out. Polly rolls off. Hudson turns and starts to get up and Polly kicks him in the chest. He pops up and Polly then runs into the ropes, bouncing off and hits a running facebuster. Hudson rolls over and to the floor. He winces, holding his jaw. Polly takes this opportunity to run across the erring. She bounces off and Hudson turns around to the ring as Polly dives through the ropes with a tope suicida!

Sharper: “Through the ropes! Polly takes to the air. Flying like a free bird and onto Josh Hudson!”

Knots: “No requests!”

Sharper: “Hit him flush on.”

Hudson winces as Polly rolls through. (1) She gets up and walks over to Hudson and pulls him up. (2) She then turns and runs him to the ring and rolls in after. Hudson gets up and Polly jumps up and hits a hurricanrana into a pin.

Hudson kicks out. The crowd ohs. Polly falls forward and Hudson gets up and turns to the middle of the ring. Polly lunges towards Hudson only for Hudson to catch her and hit an overhead belly to belly suplex.

Sharper: “And Hudson catches Polly Pingotti and launches her overhead.”

Knots: “Flying like a less free bird there!”

Polly Pingotti rolls over and slowly gets up. She turns to Hudson who grabs her again and hits a second overhead belly to belly suplex. Polly winces as she hits. She slowly gets up and turns and Hudson hits a bridging northern lights suplex.

Polly kicks out. Hudson rolls over. He gets up as Polly stirs. Hudson grabs her and whips her into the ropes. She bounces off and Hudson catches her on the rebound, wrapping around her in a waistlock, setting pf for a German suplex. Polly however holds onto his hands and runs forward, ducking down and Hudson hits the top rope and staggers back. Polly jumps to the middle rope and twists back with a springboard crossbody into a pin.

Hudson kicks out. Both get up and Polly hits the Chick Kick. Hudson falls down to the mat. Polly turns and exits to the apron.

Sharper: “Pingotti got the kick off. Right to the head.”

Knots: “And that takes anyone down. Anyone gets a shot to the head and you go down!”

Polly Pingotti goes to the corner and climbs up to the top rope. The crowd looks on cheering before Polly stands up only for Hudson to get up and run to the corner. He scales the corner and grabs her and hits a top rope belly to belly suplex. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “And Hudson back up. To the top! Suplex takes down Pingotti!”

Knots: “A shot to the head gets him down. Doesn’t guarantee he stays there!”

Josh Hudson slowly rolls over and gets up as Pingotti rolls over and stirs. She slowly pulls herself up and then runs at Hudson. Hudson lifts her up onto his shoulders. Polly fights and counters with a sunset flip.

Hudson kicks out. Both get up and Polly kicks Hudson in the stomach. She goes for the Polly-Pop, but Hudson back drops her. Polly rolls over and gets up and turns and Hudson hoists her up and hits the Kingdom Come. The crowd ohs. Hudson drops down and goes for the pin.

Hudson rolls off. The bell sounds.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Josh Hudson!”

Sharper: “And Hudson wins. Polly with one final flourish, but not enough to overcome the experience and coolness!”

Knots: “Speaking of both! Selena!”

The crowd boos loudly as Selena Frost runs down to the ring and Hudson gets up as Selena Frost slides into the ring. She gets up and stands up as Hudson turns and stands, looking at Selena.

Sharper: “Hudson standing tall as he said he would!”

Knots: “I don’t know what Selena was thinking. But…she’s not backing down!”

Selena reset and steps up, looking at Josh Hudson. Polly Pingotti remains down, seemingly under both of them as Josh Hudson looks at Selena. The two continue to lock eyes.

Sharper: “Just about a month away – Hudson. Frost. Rise to Greatness XXI!”

The scene slowly fades to black…
