“Supreme Championship Wrestling...”

A shot of Kelcey Wallace nailing Bree Lancaster with the Perfect Ending, followed by a shot of Steve Griffin hitting the Decimator off the top rope on CHBK at the first Rise to Greatness, before turning a shot of Jake Starr pumping up the crowd on his way to the ring, before turning into a shot of Ravyn Taylor sitting in the corner, waiting for the start of a match. We then see a shot of Katie Steward holding the Women’s Championship before cutting to a shot of Selena Frost hitting Vixen Cain with the Defying Gravity at Supreme Saturday: Just Desserts.

Or maybe I'm just livin' a lie
Can't stop this screamin' voice
Or maybe I'm just sick inside

Tell me, tell me, tell me
I'm not crazy

Amy Chastaine posing follows.

There's a psycho in my, there's a psycho in my head

Shots of Deanna Frost, Kandis, Xander Valentine, and Syren are shown before the Breakdown logo comes up on the screen.

We then cut to a live shot of the inside of the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California. The crowd cheers as pyro shoots out from the base of the stage. The display continues for a few moments before spotlights circle the arena and the cameras pan across the crowd for a few moments.

Sharper: “We are back stateside in the City of Angels for Breakdown!”

The cameras circle around the ring for a bit longer before cutting to ringside where Adam Sharper and Jonathan Knots sit at the announce position.

Sharper: “Welcome to LA as we return stateside for all of the action. And tonight, Selena Frost will face Bree Lancaster in non-title action while Xander Valentine will face Glory Braddock.”

Knots: “Cara Strader makes her SCW Singles debut against La Pequena Luz and so much more!”

BELIEVE IT... OR NOT!

"Thank You for Hating Me!" by Citizen Soldier plays throughout the arena, the SCW Universe deafening the song with their boos. The lights shift to dark purple and blue, filling the arena as snow is seen “falling” along the electronic floor and screens as, out from the back, walks the Snow Queen, Selena Frost, taking in the crowd of the SCW Universe with a smirk. The SCW World Championship sits over her shoulder.

Sharper: “And we start off tonight with the World Champion joining us and last week, she made her presence felt in the main event.”

Knots: “It’s not a main event if the champion isn’t involved, right, Sharper?”

BREAKDOWN – LAST WEEK:

Kandis stomps Kirsten Scott again before the crowd erupts in boos. Kandis then turns to stomp Scott again, but Scott blocks it and shoves her back. Selena Frost, however, has run down from the back, brandishing her World Championship. She slides into the ring and gets up and runs at Kandis and nails her with the World Title. The crowd ohs and boos loudly. Demitra calls for the bell. Selena Frost looks at Kandis as Kandis rolls over, holding her face in pain. Scott starts to get up as Selena keeps watching Kandis only to look up at the big screen. She turns and nails Scott with  the World Title. Scott goes down. The crowd boos loudly again. Selena then looks at her and shakes her head. The crowd boos Selena before Selena turns back and stomps Kandis in the face. She stomps her again before we see Xander Valentine storm out from the back.

Sharper: “Selena Frost coming to the ring, attacking both Kandis and Kirsten Scott. Two women who both called her out and then Xander Valentine arrived.”

Knot: “And Xander quickly had to remind himself…he can’t touch Selena!”

Xander runs down to the ring and grabs the top rope as Selena stomps Kandis a few more time. Xander then pulls himself onto the apron and steps into the ring. Selena stomps Kandis again before Demitra tries to stop her. Xander walks over and Demitra then turns and stops Xander as Selena backs up. She then looks at Xander as Xander keeps his eyes on Selena.

Selena: “Hit me and it’s gone! You’re as good as them. The past! They failed! Just like you will on way or another. Maybe save yourself the humiliation Xander. Nothing has changed!”

Xander just looks at Selena and then Kandis and Scott before glancing back at her. Selena then extends her arms. The Breakdown logo comes up on the screen.

Breakdown returns to a live shot as Selena Frost stands in the ring, proudly holding her title and with a microphone in her hand.

Selena: “What? Do you have a problem with people getting a taste of their own medicine?”

Selena smirks.

Selena: “I just gave them a taste of something else…something one will never taste and the other, despite their great plans at Taking Hold of the Flame, will never again.”

The crowd boos.

Selena: “What? Sorry that I understand statistics. No one has ever won it in back to back years. And trust me, Kandis may be driven, but she’s not going to get it done. Not with the new talent, not with her tendency to not be able to look past her ass. And not when we don’t even know if some other past champions will be in it…right Bree? Don’t worry, though, I’ll also show you’re not ready too. All of this speaks to one thing.”

Selena looks at the camera, holding up one finger.

Selena: “One thing…that when you need to beat me one on one…no BS…you can’t. You have to have your cheap shots. You need to attack from behind. You need BS referees. You need every bit of help, but when it comes to me, in that ring, NO ONE can touch me. I’ve knocked out Xander Valentine behind. I’ve done it on the biggest stage. I’ve faced people who went after me, my family, THIS COMPANY….and I stood victorious because of what I am capable of. And all I’m doing now…is ensure that the battlefield is level. Because I’m damn sick and tired of having to compete on a slant field because everyone else isn’t quite able to keep up.”

Selena shrugs.

Selena: “Simple as that. Xander’s not changed. He’s just playing the same game and hoping it will work again. Insanity. Kandis is still as wild as ever and just driven by hatred, but now she has nothing on her side…so…well….and Kirsten-“

The opening of "Whore" by In This Moment fills the arena as red and pink lights swirl around. Selena rolls her eyes.

{I'm the girl you've been thinking about, The one thing you can't live without
I'm the girl you've been waiting for
I'll have you down on your knees, I'll have you begging for more}

Kandis appears on the stage in her leather jacket and steps forward, microphone in her hand. She looks down at Selena.

Selena: “Kandis! Cut her music! Cut her music!”

The music ends.

Selena: “Do we need to do this again. You lost at Retribution and I just gave you a reminder.”

Kandis: “A reminder that you’re as big of a hypocrite as they come!”

The crowd roars.

Kandis: “You couldn’t help yourself, Selena, but that’s fine. I’ve come to just expect you’re full of crap. Between the convenient security, to the fact that you have Demitra in your pocket…yeah…evening the battlefield. It was only shifted in your mind. You could never handle everything. You couldn’t handle being a target which is what comes with that title. And while I took it all and was going to resolve it, you needed to step in and play these games. Well, Selena…tick-tock!”

Selena: “Tick-tock to what? You need to go through thirty nine others. And you need to then go through me, and Retribution showed when the chips were down, when the battlefield was even, you couldn’t get it done. The fluke of Rise to Greatness XX is done. And you need to repeat it again to have a chance. Like hell it will happen.”

Kandis: “I tend to surprise Selena and trust me, I will do anything to do it again and make you swallow it whole-“

Kandis stops as we see Kirsten Scott walking out on the floor and taking a few steps. The crowd cheers seeing her.

Kandis: “Looks like we have some company.”

Scott stands looking at the stage before turning to the ring. Selena just shakes her head before we see Polly Pingotti walking out on the other side of the stage, walking along the floor. The crowd cheers again.

Selena: “Really? Line everyone up again…face me one on one and as I have proven since I came back that no one can touch me. Believe it…”

Kandis: “Or not, Selena. And I don’t. And I can’t speak of them. Polly, Kirsten…anyone else in the back…bring it. I’ll cut through you at Taking Hold of the Flame, but remember, Selena, you said it yourself – World Championship is the main event. Fine…But your contract bullshit only matters if you walk out World Champion. And maybe after the last two weeks…I may have changed my mind on a few things. Maybe they did too. And maybe I feel like SURPRISING you one more time.”

Kandis turns and heads to the back.

Selena: “Have to threaten and jump from behind, Kandis…some champion…”

Kirsten looks at the ring at this point as Polly looks at her too. Kandis heads to the back. Selena watches both Kirsten and Polly as we cut to the announce position.

Sharper: “Kandis threatening Selena Frost again, while Polly Pingotti and Kirsten Scott telling Selena Frost through their silence they are gunning for her.”

Knots: “But will she even be the World Champion…Xander Valentine stands in her way.”

Sharper: “And you heard Kandis…could Selena have a target on her back in that brief period between the Taking Hold of the Flame battle royal and that moment she retains?”

Knots: “Oh God…and we’ve had enough chaos around here.”

Sharper: “And we may have more. Glory Braddock to be in action later. Brittany Lohan. Konrad Raab. Cara Strader. We’re just getting started tonight!”

“Psycho in my Head” plays as the camera pans out showing the crowd and Breakdown cuts to commercial.

COMMERCIALS

Breakdown returns as we see David Striker and Chris Dumont in their locker room. Dumont is seated by the monitor in the room.

Dumont: “Just getting ready for it. TV title match to start tonight.”

Striker: “I’m sure she’ll be fine-“

Dumont: “Not with Konrad. The guy’s a nut and probably got EFN in the shadows. Plus, Enigma may be around.”

Striker: “True and we owe that asshole a nice kick in the ass and a bit more.”

Dumont: “We’re getting our hands on him in some way-“

There’s a knock at the door. Striker heads over to the door. He opens it. Angelica Jones stands on the opposite side.

Striker: “Angelica? I didn’t expect to see you. Kim need something?”

Angelica: “Kim would probably tell you herself. She’s taken a liking to you.”

Striker: “What do you want?”

Angelica sighs.

Angelica: “I’m here because of another relative…”

Striker: “What?”

Dumont: “You hear because of Glory?”

Striker: “Don’t try my patience. She’s just getting what she deserves.”

Angelica: “And she and Lohan realize that. But tonight, tonight, she has a match that means a lot to her. Her and Xander have some history. History that for her is personal.”

Striker: “And I don’t like getting jumped. Neither does Chris. It’s personal for us.”

Angelica: “And I get that. You have your match at Taking Hold of the Flame. Just…tonight…can you, as a favour…”

Striker and Dumont look at one another.

Angelica: “Look…Kim is has a reason to go after Enigma. Divide and conquer. You two have Glory and Brittany. Kim can go after Enigma. You can’t take on both. It’s a sure death sentence and I know you’re both crazy. I saw it first hand.”

Striker: “Is she going to be okay with your negotiating for her?”

Angelica: “She knows I’m trying to do what’s best for her-“

Striker: “Then why include Glory?”

Angelica: “Just please…”

Dumont: “Just agree to it. We’ll kick her ass in two weeks.”

Striker: “One week. We’re not just going to stand by. She’s got her week.”

Striker turns to Dumont.

Angelica: “Thank you.”

Angelica heads off as Dumont slams the door.

Konrad Raab vs. Aisling

SCW Television Championship

A coin can be heard dropping into a coin slot, followed by a few girls giggling. “C’est La Vie” by B*Witched begins to play and Aisling steps out onto the stage from the backstage area, wearing a playful hot pink skirt with a matching hot pink tank top, with the SCW Television Championship securely fastened around her waist. She immediately waves at the crowd and blows a few kisses, as the fans do start to cheer. Aisling genuinely smiles before she starts to slowly come down the ramp, stopping along the way to deliver a few kisses on a few guys' cheeks who look to be around her age. Each of them appreciate her gesture and cheer her on even louder. Aisling nods before she goes and slides into the ring under the bottom rope. She lays on the mat for a few seconds before she stands up and raises her arms into the air. The crowd continues to cheer her as "C'est La Vie" begins to fade out. Aisling looks excited, ready, and raring to go. When her arms come down she unfastens the championship belt and willingly hands it over to the referee.

Knots: “I will say it. I did not think Aisling was ready to be a champion, but she proved everyone wrong last week. She did not pin Marie like she wanted, but she did get the job done. And now I will also say this. We have a hot, young, yet very determined Television Champion on our hands.”

Sharper: “You’re not wrong. While she is the baby of Body, Heart and Soul, she has really shown some maturity over the past several weeks. She will need that determination and maturity here tonight.”

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for one fall and is for the SCW Television Championship!  Introducing first, the champion, representing Body, Heart and Soul… she is… Aisling Reed!”

Aisling moves to a corner of her choosing and turns her head to the stage.

“Feuer Frei” by Rammstein plays over the sound system as Konrad comes out through the curtain with his flanged German mace with him, acting erratic with an angry look on his face, rising the flanged German mace in the air, wearing red and black skull face paint on the right side of his face with a red and black suit hoodie over his head he wears with pieces of flame blood designed all over them. He also has a penguin, walrus and a polar bear stitching on the left-hand side of his chest on his gear, stating Stop Climate Change. He also wears black boots along with Red and Black Gloves on his hands. Ginny Raab walks out behind him. Raab crouches down on the floor with the flanged German mace in front of him, looking at the ring with evil intentions.

Phillips: “And her opponent, the challenger, from Cologne, Germany, accompanied by Ginny Raab, he is Burned in Blood, Konrad Raab!”

After the announcement, Konrad picks up his flanged German mace and slowly walks to the ring with a massive amount of boos. Konrad runs up the steps and goes underneath the ropes, while Ginny walks up the stairs and gets in the ring with Konrad. As he's in the ring, Konrad, without showing any sign of acknowledgement from the fans, lays the flanged German mace on the turnbuckle, then sits in the corner of the ring with the crowd booing him, having a nasty look in his eyes, flicking his fists as if he's already ready to fight, with Ginny taking Konrad's flanged German mace away, waiting for the match to start as he takes his hoodie off from his head as Ginny leaves the ring and goes backstage.

Konrad stares in Aisling’s direction blankly and appears to be just waiting for the bell.  Aisling stands stoically though, also waiting for the bell.  Then it comes.  As soon as he hears it Konrad bursts forward and goes to spear Aisling right off the bat.  Aisling senses it coming though and side steps it.  Konrad is able to stop himself from eating the far turnbuckle.  He turns back around and looks angrier than he was even a moment ago.  Aisling looks like a deer caught in headlights, so for the better part of valor she backs up and slides out of the ring.  Konrad looks down at her and shakes his head.  He brings his left hand up and motions for Aisling to come back in and fight him.

Sharper: “I can’t blame her for taking her time.”

Knots: “I would too.  We all know Konrad is not in a very good mood, considering his dealings with The Enigma.”

Aisling thinks about it for a moment before some redness comes into her cheeks.  She then slides back into the ring.  Konrad takes a swing at her, but Aisling ducks.  She quickly gets to the closest set of ropes possible, hops up onto the middle rope and comes flying off.  However Konrad catches her in midair with a European uppercut.  He swats her out of the sky and down to the mat.  Aisling moves a little on her back on the canvas.

Sharper: “And that is not where she needs to be.  It could be a very short reign, just like her teammate’s was.”

Knots: “That could be the case.”

Konrad reaches down, pulls her up, sets her, and delivers a back suplex, Aisling’s back bouncing off the canvas.  The crowd ohs as Konrad goes for a lazy cover.

1!

2!

Aisling sits up, looking as nervous as she ever has.  Konrad is almost grinning as he stands back up.  Aisling goes to teeter to her feet as well, kind of surprised that Konrad has not stayed on the assault.  The scene switches to the backstage area where Chris Dumont is seen watching the match on a monitor.

Dumont: “Come on, Aisling.  You have what it takes.  I know you do.  Don’t be scared.”

Dumont closes his eyes.  Meanwhile back in the ring, Aisling closes hers for a moment, but when they open she is nodding her head.  She hops up to the middle rope again.  Konrad rushes at her, looking to clothesline her while she’s up on the rope, but Aisling hops up into the air and gets decent air, enough to float over the much taller Konrad.  She lands behind him right on her feet.

Sharper: “Wow.  That was some serious air.”

Aisling spins Konrad around and while yelling out she shoves him against the nearby ropes.  Konrad comes off and is surprised when Aisling is able to whip him across the ring.  Konrad bounces off the other ropes and is unable to stop the momentum.  He runs right into a chick kick from Aisling. However Konrad doesn’t fall down.  Konrad regains his bearings quickly, grabs Aisling and returns the favor, whipping her against the furthest set of ropes possible.  As she comes back towards him, he easily clotheslines her down.  He does not go to pin Aisling though, but instead stands up, scoops her up, and wastes no time in setting her up for the Burn Blood Infection.

Sharper: “Uh oh, I think Konrad is about to start going for kill shots, not wanting to waste time here.”

Knots: “Piledrivers aren’t illegal anymore either, thanks to CHBK!”

He hoists Aisling up but somehow, some way Aisling is able to slip out the back.  She immediately leg sweeps Konrad, getting him down to the mat for the first time.  Konrad pounds the mat in frustration.  Aisling’s determined look shows itself as she goes to the furthest corner and climbs up to the top of the turnbuckle.  The crowd watches her go.  Konrad gets back up and turns.  Aisling comes flying off, getting the most height she ever has, and in midair is able to get her legs around the head of Konrad, taking him down with a headscissors takeover.  The crowd cheers loudly, with some chanting “Holy sh*t!”

Aisling’s confidence seems to be restored as she jumps on top of Konrad, hooking his left leg up.

1!

2!

Konrad kicks out.

Sharper: “That was amazing and might have been her one and only shot.  Konrad is still in this one.”

Aisling moves away from Konrad and is already thinking of her next move.  This however does give Konrad time to get up.  Konrad does not think twice and runs right at Aisling, trapping her in the corner.  He begins to deliver quite a few boxing punches, each punch getting harder and fiercer.  Aisling tries to cover up but it is not long until she is down on her knees in the corner.  Konrad looks up and quickly to the stage and yells out.

Konrad: “It’s too easy!  Just like it will be against YOU, Enigma!  Come and get me!”

As he is looking to the stage, even though she looks worse for wear, Aisling sees an opening and crawls out of the corner between Konrad’s legs.  Konrad turns and refocuses his attention on her.  Aisling is standing back up and nodding.  She dips down and runs at him, surprising him a bit with a shoulder tackle.  This pushes Konrad into the ropes.  Aisling seizes the opportunity and quickly wraps her legs around the waist of Konrad, catching him in the ropes with her patented Tarantula.

Knots: “Oh my god, she got it in!”

Sharper: “She may be small and she may still be learning a lot, but yes, she does have him right where she wants him.”

The crowd is cheering.  Konrad uses his hands to try and break the Tarantula.  The referee begins counting.

4!

Aisling lets it go at the last possible moment, to avoid being disqualified.

Sharper: “She could have just gotten herself disqualified there and retained the belt.  Clearly though that’s not who Aisling is.”

Dumont is shown quickly backstage again nodding his head.

Aisling doesn’t wait.  Konrad begins to recover and again looks to the stage.

Konrad: “It’s not even close to enough to finish me!  Nothing is!  You will see that, Enigma!”

Aisling scales to the top of the closest turnbuckle to Konrad and immediately jumps off, kneeing Konrad right in the right side of his head, knocking him for a loop and sending him down to the mat.  The crowd ohs.  Konrad shakes out the cobwebs down on the mat.  He angrily gets up.  Aisling looks fierce as well.  She runs at him, looking for a spear of her own, but he stops her as he gets his right hand on her neck.  The crowd immediately boos Konrad hard as he hoists Aisling up and even though she is fighting in his grasp, he is able to hit her with The Burninator.  Aisling goes crashing down to the mat.  Konrad drapes an arm across both of Aisling’s shoulders and hooks her left leg, making sure she is down.  Aisling’s eyes close.

1!

2!

Aisling surprises everyone by not only kicking out but in the same fluid motion is able to maneuver her legs and lock them back around Konrad again.  It takes all that she has but she rolls Konrad over a few times as the crowd cheers her on as loud as they have since she came out from backstage.

Sharper:  “The All Out!  You have to be kidding me!  How did she survive that!  And she has him locked up!  She really is going All Out!”

Knots:  “With no escape either!  She’s using her hands to trap his tightly.”

Aisling reaches forward with one arm and sees her opportunity to leave one arm against his throat and grab Konrad’s left leg and hook it with her other arm.  Konrad is squirming hard to break out as the referee drops down.

1!

2!

3!

Konrad uses his power to free himself from the Aisling’s bodyscissors but it is too late as the referee’s hand has already hit the mat for the third time.  The bell rings as Aisling rolls out of the ring.  Konrad gets to his knees and yells down at her that she got lucky before he pounds the mat in frustration, quite a few times.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, and still SCW Television Champion, Aisling!”

“C’est La Vie” by B*Witched begins to play as Aisling goes around the outside of the ring and retrieves the SCW Television Championship belt from the timekeeper.  Dumont is shown one last time backstage, smiling.  The crowd continues to cheer as Aisling celebrates, but not too much.

Sharper:  “She definitely got away with one here tonight, but she did persevere and did not give up.”

Knots:  “She was dead to rights and somehow walked through the flames and came out the other side.  Look at Konrad.  I’m not sure if we have ever seen him so mad!”

Konrad is seething as Aisling heads up the ramp, heading backstage.

Sharper: “Now let’s go backstage with Destiny Page who is with Team Desire. Destiny?”

The scene cuts to the backstage interview area where Destiny Pages stands next to Katie Steward and Gigi Steward.

Destiny: “Thank you Adam. I’m here with the Hall of Famer Katie Steward and Gigi Steward and it’s been a tough year of ups and downs as you still attempt to finally win the World Tag Team Championship and Gigi, you aim to return to singles glory. But Taking Hold of the Flame is a night historically the Stewards have done well. Could you be thinking of something bigger?”

Katie: “Destiny…such an interesting name. It is Destiny that I am here and I will be in the Taking Hold of the Flame. Us Stewards, we always think bigger. We’re visionaries. We were always ahead of the curve.”

Gigi steps in.

Gigi: “You’re talking to the first female World Champion in SCW history. You’re looking at the inventor of the Goddess Gauntlet. You’re looking at the woman, and the women, who revolutionized the women’s division in SCW and now…we hope to take on the world.”

Katie: “Oh, that’s good. We’ve come a long way too. Back on the same page, and we’ve not given up. So many we do something different, we get to the main event of Rise to Greatness…SCW has a Steward back where she should be, on top, and then, we get what we want from there…the Tag Titles, and that I can say something no one else can – I’ve won EVERY title I could in SCW. Oh yes, this is going to be good!”

Katie and Gigi walk off, Katie proud of herself and plotting.

Destiny: “Breakdown returns after this.”

The scene fades out.

COMMERCIALS

Brittany Lohan and Glory Braddock speak backstage in their locker room.

Lohan: “Angelica came through?”

Braddock: “Good. And I’ll only need one week. Tonight….I’ll get that revenge I’ve wanted on Xander for so long.”

Lohan: “Do you think the two of them are trustworthy?”

Braddock: “They won’t risk angering Kim-“

Lohan: “They made the deal with Angelica, not Kim. Don’t mistake that.”

Braddock: “If they show up-“

Lohan: “Relax. I’m going to give them something better. I’m in a four way and tonight, I want a fight. And I don’t see Cassie, Polly or Adonis giving me that. So let Dangerous Minds come after. Let the Cowgirls. We can see if the Light in the Darkness can keep up. And if they intervene in your match, they can come out for their execution.”

Braddock: “You’re going to get a fight.”

Lohan: “I am…and if they want to survive for their little revenge before we go on and get our titles back, they can make a choice. Stay backstage. Come out and fight me. Or if they touch you when you’re out there with Xander, they’ll be one of the angels in this City.”

Lohan pats Braddock on the back as the scene cuts away.

Breakdown returns to ringside as Jaina Lancaster stands in the ring.

Jaina: “Fans, please welcome at this time…the former SCW Underground Champion…Chris Lawler!”

The crowd cheers a bit. The arena falls into darkness, the only illumination coming from the pulsating strobe lights. The crowd's murmurs fade into a hush as the opening chords of "Warrior" by Imagine Dragons reverberate through the speakers, electrifying the air with anticipation.

From the depths of the darkness, a figure emerges, his silhouette outlined against the backdrop of flashing lights. It's Chris Lawler, a titan among men, his presence commanding attention as he strides purposefully down the entrance ramp.

Sharper: “Chris Lawler returning to SCW after Retribution. It’s been a bit of a rocky start for him, but some notable victories, including one against Dark Fantasy.”

Knots: “He tried to just do the right thing with Polly Pingotti. She didn’t want help, and now, Chris Lawler back, and we’ve really not found out why. Why is he back?”

Lawler walks down to the ring and looks around before reaching the ringside area. He then nods to the crowd before walking up the steel steps. He walks along the apron and steps into the ring. He then stand sin the middle of the ring before looking up to the heavens for a moment before nodding and turning, walking over to Jaina Lancaster. His music fades out as the crowd cheers a bit more.

Jaina: “Chris, thank you for joining me?”

Lawler: “Thank you for this time. And Los Angeles, how are you?”

The crowd cheers as Lawler looks around.

Jaina: “Chris, it’s been, we have to say, a successful return in that you’ve shown even with the time away, you don’t have the rust. You still have that same integrity, even if it may have led to some unwanted results…you look good.”

Lawler: “Thank you Jaina and it’s great to be back in SCW. After so much time away, to not only come back, show I can still compete, and to still be treated with respect by the fans. It’s really heartening. Been great hearing from fans and talking to you in airports, in gyms around the nation and the world. Just nice to be remembered.”

Jaina: “Well where have you been in that time? What were you doing?”

Lawler sighs and nods.

Lawler: “As so many people in this sport will tell you, sometimes wrestling becomes all encompassing. And I needed a break to recharge, but also to start thinking about a family, to start to find other joys in life. To make things work a bit easier. And well, I had to take a break from the dream…”

Jaina: “A dream that saw you win the Underground Title at Rise to Greatness 2008. To see you compete for the World Title. You left just as SCW entered a new era. Some have said that maybe you realized you couldn’t compete.”

Lawler shakes his head.

Lawler: “Nothing like that. Sure, it may have been easier to step away knowing SCW didn’t need me, per se. I remember years like 2006. When SCW was going through its own growing pains after the Mercenaries left and it was rough, but SCW had grow. There was a lot of good talent. It was just time for me to turn my attention elsewhere.”

Jaina: “So then how are you and your family?”

Lawler: “They’re wonderful and it’s a great thing to have them. They’ve supported me for some time. They’re the light of my life and…”

Jaina: “I hate to do this but starting your family and taking a break was not all. I don’t want to push as I know it can be traumatic, but you have said in some interviews with media, and elsewhere that you were suffering from some significant depression. And you walked away in part to deal with your mental health. While today, we obviously spend more time on it; the wrestling business has not always been kind to those suffering from mental health issues. But I should highlight you’re looking great and it’s great you’re here.”

The crowd cheers some for Lawler. Lawler looks up and smiles.

Jaina: “Yes, please. Give it up for Chris Lawler.”

The crowd cheer some more. Lawler holds up a hand and tries to stop the cheering a bit.

Lawler: “Thanks…yes, thanks. And obviously Jaina, you’ve seen some of the challenges first hand in your family. Many of us in wrestling keep going and going. We don’t know when to stop. Or worse, we get injured, we lose a step, someone else comes along, a young gun, whatever and we let it cause us to spiral. Many of us in this sport…this is our life. And it’s so easy for it to take it all over. And I had to deal with a number of issues. I won’t sugarcoat it…there were very dark times. Times where I could have made some bad decisions, but thankfully, with the help of my family…with the help of so many who supported me and even now, with SCW…CHBK immediately called me back after I called expressing interest. And we’ve know each other for a long time…not always friendly…”

Lawler chuckles a bit.

Lawler: “But it was like coming back to a second family and I’m here…I’m in a better place. I have more in my life than ever before, and I’m back. I may be a bit slower. I may be a bit of a different competitor since when I last was around. I may do things a bit differently…”

A faint “Lawler Cutter!” chant begins. Lawler at first ignores it before noticing it. He then chuckles to himself. The chants get louder.

Lawler: “I do things a bit differently now. Different training…sorry…”

The crowd boos as Lawler shakes his head.

Lawler: “It’s just a move!”

Lawler looks out as the crowd roars a bit. Lawler sighs.

Lawler: “I don’t know what to say about that but-“

“Mountain Banjo” by Rhiannon Giddens comes over the system. The crowd boos a bit as Lawler turns to the stage. A few moments pass before we see Waylon Creek walk out from the back. He has his dog in his hand via a leash. Waylon Creek slowly starts to walk down the rampway.

Sharper: “Waylon Creek joining us. What in the world would he have to say about or to Chris Lawler?”

Knots: “He’s won two matches in a row. He also stepped up and took over the signing for Khloe Cox.”

Creek walks down to the ring and looks at a crew member who takes his dog. Creek then rolls into the ring. He slowly gets up as Lawler looks at him. Jaina turns to Creek.

Jaina: “Waylon Creek…what are you doing out here?”

Creek walks over and looks at Lawler before turning to Jaina.

Creek: “Congratulations Mr. Lawler for your successful recovery.”

Creek looks at Lawler. Lawler nods and can be seen saying “thank you.”

Creek: “It is always good when someone can overcome their demons. When they are able to snatch themselves back from the void. But don’t claim that this return of yours is anything more than your attempt to reclaim the worth you believed you had before you left.”

Creek tilts his head.

Creek: “That’s what it is. You’re allowing your feelings to drive you in a positive direction and you’re back, grasping to a dream that slipped through your fingers…no, not because of weakness. I would never say that. But because you needed to reprioritize. And you’re hoping that you can grasp whatever is left. Scratch, claw, and reclaim. But that will not happen, Mr. Lawler.”

Creek smiles.

Creek: “For I am here. I am one of many, but I feel bad for you. Because you are not the strongest. You’re not the more hardcore. You’re not the most brutal. You are a man who is average. And one who will be overcome by real challenge.”

Lawler looks at Creek, trying to determine his response.

Creek: “You’ve had your greatest victory. For that alone, you should be proud. You have a wonderful family, as do I. And you’ve already made them proud by surviving. I make mine proud by thriving.”

Lawler motions to Jaina, but Creek grabs Jaina’s arm and holds the microphone by him.

Creek: “Think carefully, Mr. Lawler. You are wanting to challenge me but if I were you, I would hope we never meet in this ring. Enjoy your little return. Stay out of the center lane. Play up that you may hit some move. And go home safely to your family. Keep surviving…Mr. Lawler…”

Creek lets go and steps back. Lawler goes to respond, but elects to say nothing as Jaina moves the microphone to him. Lawler brings her hand down as the banjo playing of Rhiannon Giddens fills the arena again. Creek calmly exits the ring, dropping down to the floor. He reclaims his dog as he then starts to walk up the rampway with it.

Sharper: “Creek…just a man who sends shivers up my spine.”

Knots: “Seems also to do the same with Lawler! He didn’t have a response!”

Sharper: “Or didn’t think one would matter? I don’t know…”

Creek walks to the back as his music continues to play. Lawler turns away briefly as the scene cuts away.

Backstage, Angelica Jones is talking to Kimberly Williams.

Kim: “So wait…you said they can’t maim Glory?! What fun is that?”

Angelica: “Kim, please…this is an important match for her.”

Kim: “Yeah, but I’m just saying. I was told I had to sometimes deal with the consequences of my actions and all that and here you are-“

Angelica: “And Glory and I had that conversation last week. She knows…but this match, it’s big for her.”

Kim: “Awww…she loves Xandy! Xandy’s nice…a bit judgmental, but whatever. I hope they have a good date!”

Angelica: “Kim…”

Kim: “Fine, a bad date! I don’t know.”

Angelica: “Either way, Brittany is also offering herself and fine. I don’t care there. There’s much more I’d want to say there, but I’m not getting involved.”

Kim: “Are you saying Brittany is a bad influence? Well you’d know about bad influences. James…me….”

Angelica: “Okay, Kim-“

Kim: “What? I’m having fun. Plus, I heard you made a little promise. So what body part of mine did you give em? Better not be my trigger finger. That’s dedicated to Enigma! I need to give him more gifts!”

Angelica: “Actually, I suggested the two of you divide and conquer. They have Twisted & Sadistic. You…you focus on the Enigma.”

Kim smiles.

Kim: “And I can maim him?!”

Angelica: “I suppose-“

Kim: “Yes!”

Kim then grabs Angelica’s hand and high-fives it.

Kim: “Let’s go. I need to sharpen my staples and Betty White!”

Kim heads off, grabbing her mother’s arm as Breakdown cuts to commercial.

La Pequena Luz vs. Cara Strader

“Believe In Tomorrow” by Sunflower’s Garden begins to play as bright white lights begin flickering on and off on the stage in rhythm with the music. La Pequeña Luz skips out onto the stage with the kind of smile that could light up an entire room all on its own plastered to her face, dancing a bit to her theme song and waving her arms in an attempt to get the crowd pumped up, drawing cheers. As she looks down towards the ring, the smile fades as something seems to flicker through her mind, but she’s snapped out of the trance as Amelia Blythe slowly makes her way out, placing a comforting hand on Luz’s shoulder. Both have their World Tag Team Championship belts around their waists.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a twenty minute time limit. First, on her way to the ring, accompanied by Amelia Blythe, from Tulancingo, Hidalgo, Mexico, she is one half of the SCW World Tag Team Champions, La Pequena Luz!”

With a quick kiss to her cheek, Luz’s smile returns as the two proceed to lock hands before heading down to the ring, Amelia trying her best to keep up with Luz’s energetic skipping. Once they reach ringside, Luz pulls Amelia into a brief but passionate kiss before letting her go as she hops up onto the apron, grabbing the top rope before vaulting herself into a somersault into the ring, landing on her feet. Luz begins skipping around the ring, motioning once more for the fans to make some noise as they answer this call while Amelia takes her place in Luz’s corner on the floor, chuckling to herself and shaking her head at Luz’s energy. Luz removes her robe and hands it off to Amelia, who gives some last minute advice and words of encouragement as she does so. Amelia also takes Luz’s title.

Sharper: “This may be a different change of pace for both Luz and Cara Strader. This may just be a straight-up match.”

Knots: “Well Amelia better be ready in case chaos reigns, no matter how much they want it to stop.”

The big screen goes blank and the lights drop in the arena. “Maneater" by Nelly Furtado begins to play. The lights begin to flicker cyan blue, white and silver when the beat gets going.

//Take it back, take it back\\

The name Cara Strader in large font starts to flash in cyan blue and silver, with shots of her holding up a one ounce spliff and lighting it up, getting a definite happy reaction from the crowd.

//Everybody look at me, me
I walk in the door you start screaming
Come on, everybody what you here for?
Move your body around like a nympho\\

Cara steps out on stage, walking to the edge of the stage to the right looking out at the fans, placing a spliff between her cherry red lips. She walks to the other side and lights it up before returning to the centre where the ramp begins.

Phillips: “Her opponent, accompanied by Veronica Strader, from London, Ontario, Canada, the Carebear of the Strader Family, she is Cara Strader!”

Cara strikes a sexy pose, and lets out a series of pot smoke circles before sending a straight line of smoke through the centre of them.

//Everybody get your neck to crack around
All you crazy people, come on, jump around
I wanna see you all on your knees, knees
You either wanna be with me or be me (come on, now)\\

Cara heads to the ring before we see Veronica Strader walking down the rampway a few strides behind her. Cara does a quick step up the steel steps and wipes her boots on the apron before launching herself over the top rope doing a somersault coming up on her feet, spliff still hanging from her lips.

//Maneater, make you work hard
Make you spend hard, make you want all of her love
She's a maneater, make you buy cars
Make you cut cards, make you fall real hard in love\\

Cara takes a seat on far corner top turnbuckle, facing the hardcam, toking away.

//She's a maneater, make you work hard
Make you spend hard, make you want all of her love
She's a maneater, make you buy cars
Make you cut cards, wish you never ever met her at all\\

She sneers as she puts out her spliff, putting it in her bra for after the match. Luz shakes her head. Veronica settles at ringside.

Knots: “Good thing we’re in LA!”

Sharper: “Cara not hiding her hobbies and we’ll see if that helps her in the ring.”

Knots: “Helped her and Veronica so far in SCW!”

Sharper: “And Cara Strader making her singles debut here tonight on Breakdown.”

The bell sounds as Luz and Cara circle the ring and then lock-up in the middle of the ring in a collar-and-elbow tie-up. They push back on one another before Luz moves into a side headlock. She then spins through and wrenches the arm. Cara somersaults forward and bridges up before then twisting and flipping up to her feet. She wrenches Luz’s arm. Luz flips forward onto her back. She nips up and then cartwheels out and into a side headlock before a headlock takedown. Cara counters with a headscissors. Luz kicks out. Both get up and Cara hits a side headlock takedown before Luz counters with a headscissors. Cara nips out and both get up and attempt dueling dropkicks. Both miss and roll over and move to their knee, looking at one another as the crowd applauds.

Sharper: “And these two both capable of amazing agile feats. A bit even to start here.”

Knots: “A bit of mutual respect there too. Not like Cowgirls and Twisted & Sadistic!”

Cara and Luz get up nodding and circle the ring. They then lunge at one another and Cara goes for a kick. Luz catches it and then hits a spinning back kick to the heel of Cara. Cara hits the mat. Luz then goes for a flipping leg drop. Cara moves out of the way. Luz rolls over and gets up and Cara hits a kick to the ribs before kicking her in the thigh. She runs into the ropes and bounces off and goes for a flying headscissors. Luz shrugs her off. Cara lands on her feet only for Luz to hit a palm strike. Cara falls to the ropes. Luz whips her across and then handsprings towards Cara. Cara bounces off and Luz jumps up and lands on the shoulders of Cara. Cara looks up and Luz spins through and into a snap hurricanrana into a pin.

Luz kicks out. Luz rolls over and turns and Cara forearms her a couple of times in the face while Luz is against the ropes.

Sharper: “Cara with the opening. Only two. And now just hammering away.”

Knots: “Put even more behind it. Luz can’t do much if she’s dazed from those shots. Definitely can’t go up top!”

Cara goes to whip her across. Luz spins through and sends her in. Cara bounces off and Luz goes to back drop her on the rebound. Cara spins through, landing behind Luz. Luz turns and Cara hits the Sticky-Icky. Luz staggers and into the ropes. She turns back and Cara hits a belly to belly suplex. Cara turns and exits to the apron. She climbs up to the top rope and Luz rolls over and gets up and runs at Cara, but Cara gets her boot up and pushes her back. Cara rolls through and sits on Luz’s chest.

Luz lets go and moves to the ropes. She turns back and walks right into the Afghan-Hashish. The crowd ohs. Cara rolls her over and hooks the leg.

Sharper: “Luz planted face first into the mat!”

Knots: “Getting a bit of a tour of Cara’s interests too!”

Cara hooks the leg.

Cara flips through and lands on her feet, but Luz turns and jumps up and hits the Lights Out.

Knots: “Oh my!”

Luz hooks the legs.

3!

The bell sounds.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, La Pequena Luz!”

Knots: “That was wild!”

Sharper: “An amazing display of athleticism, of tenacity, and of skill, but the experience of La Pequena Luz the difference maker here.”

Knots: “Now add six more people and it’s going to be a bit more wild!”

Veronica looks on as Cara looks up at the lights. Luz gets up and Amelia enters the ring. She celebrates with Luz before they turn to Veronica. Veronica just applauds at them as they nod their head at Veronica.

Sharper: “And a bit more respect there. Things going to come to a head at Taking Hold of the Flame.”

Knots: “Are they going to ruin Glory’s day though?”

Sharper: “All back to high alert!”

Backstage, Konrad Raab walks through the backstage area, now joined by the European Fiery Nation. Ginny Raab is with them. Theron is particularly protective of her.

Konrad: “Enigma!”

Konrad looks around.

Konrad: “Nothing earlier? Have you run like the coward you are? Where the hell are you? I owe you your destruction for touching Ginny, for everything you’ve done!”

Konrad smacks a light down before continuing his warpath.

Konrad: “Where the hell are you, you son of a bitch?!”

Konrad storms through the hallways with Dakon Theron, Ludvig Eriksson and Ginny Raab as the scene cuts to commercial.

COMMERCIALS

The lights go out leaving the arena in complete darkness. The screen fills with images of Franklin D. Roosevelt’s inaugural address.

“So, first of all, let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is—”

There’s a record scratch before a deep voice fills the arena.

“INFAMOUS!”

The opening of “Open Your Eyes” by Guano Apes hits the PA system.

“Hide your face forever
Dream and search forever-ever-ever-ever”

The song gets stuck on the word and is then interrupted by the deep sound of the voice of Marilyn Manson.

“Just lay your head in daddy’s lap
You’re a bad girl!”

“Bad Girl” by Avril Lavigne hits the PA system as we cut to the stage. A few moments pass before we see Ravyn Taylor walking out from the back. She smiles as she looks around the arena before starting to head to the ring. The cameras follows her down.

Sharper: “Ravyn Taylor coming out alone…”

Knots: “She’s been calling the shots regarding Syren going into Taking Hold of the Flame. But we’ve also heard Lucas Knight offer his concerns.”

Sharper: “Ravyn has something in mind and every week she adds a bit more. Fans have their theories though.”

Knots: “Damian Angel, Jason Zero, and Christy Matthews.”

Sharper: “Three people who don’t care for CHBK. All former World Champions.”

Ravyn Taylor walks over to the steel steps and walks up them. She then steps into the ring. She calmly walks across the ring and reaches out for the microphone. Jason Phillips hands her one and Ravyn Taylor turns and looks out at the crowd. She scans the ringside area before going over to a corner nearest a ringside cameraman and drops down into a seated position. She then leans back as she looks around. The crowd buzzes a bit and her music fades out. Ravyn then brings the microphone to her mouth.

Ravyn: “I believe it is time for a story.”

Ravyn smiles.

Ravyn: “In this company, there is one match that tends to be among the most celebrated, most anticipated, most feared, and most enjoyed…the unpredictable Taking Hold of the Flame battle royal. And for twenty years it has served one purpose…”

Ravyn pauses.

Ravyn: “To determine who would face the World Champion at Rise to Greatness.”

Ravyn pauses again.

Ravyn: “I am among its winners. And while my title match at Rise to Greatness is a sore spot for many reasons, I will digress from that story to tell a different one. Because fans, there are three winners of the battle royal that did not or nearly had their title shots removed. And ironically…all three cases involve the same person.”

Ravyn smirks.

Ravyn: “Right, Alex?”

Ravyn stops for a moment as the crowd buzzes.

Ravyn: “Allow me to begin with 2005. You, Alex, were in the final entrants. You nearly were going to do the impossible to start, winning the battle royal again. Instead, all that awaited was controversy. And in the process, you, Jay Gold, and The Real Speed all were involved in a series of events that would see the results of the match paused only for the three of you to face each other again on the following Breakdown…and despite a case to be made of either you, Alex, or Jay going to Rise to Greatness…The Real Speed earned that honour.”

Ravyn pauses again.

Ravyn: “Not enough of a story. Well fortunately, I have another chapter. I only bring that up to showcase the solutions that have been used, but the next two are far more interesting.”

Ravyn stops and turns to the crowd.

Ravyn: “Does 2007 ring a bell?”

Ravyn smirks.

Ravyn: “It should Alex. It was a year where you were the prize for the Taking Hold of the Flame winner. You were not the World Champion. Oh no, that honour fell to a man from Pittsburgh who is unimportant. But the winner of the Taking Hold of the Flame felt it oh so important to focus all of his energies on destroying you. That right? Do you recall Damian Angel?”

The crowd roars.

Ravyn: “The Hellbound Messiah. He elected to forego the title shot he had earned and instead, demanded he face you, Alex. His hatred for you was such that he forewent history for a different type of history and what did SCW do? No…what did YOU do, Alex. You manipulated him to allow his hatred to cloud him and he turned down his shot to face you. And he certainly got a measure of the revenge he wanted, but that’s not the important part. The fact is that SCW allowed and accepted Damian Angel turning down his shot to try and defeat you. And it’s become a moment etched in our history.”

Ravyn smiles slightly.

Ravyn: “And yet, it’s not even the most egregious moment you created. And that was only four years later when you took away from your greatest rival, Jason Zero, EVERYTHING that he wanted. He yearned for the World Championship. And I know first hand. I was standing with you in your preparations. I know exactly what you intended to do and you did just that. You delivered a Bittersweet Ending and Jason Zero could NEVER challenge for the SCW World Championship again. At Rise to Greatness VIII…it was OVER for him. And yet…”

Ravyn chuckles a bit.

Ravyn: “One year later, after is draw up by fate itself, Jason Zero went through thirty nine others and won the Taking Hold of the Flame battle royal.”

The crowd roars.

Ravyn: “But that wasn’t all. While everyone was wondering what would happen, whether SCW would honour the shot or not, enter Christy Matthews who cashed in her Trios Tournament shot and Jason Zero was part of it.”

Ravyn smirks.

Ravyn: “And what did SCW do? What did the owner do…what did Mr. D do? He honoured not just Christy’s Trios contract. He honoured Taking Hold of the Flame. His exact words, Alex, and you know I would know them. Don’t review the tape. You know you don’t need to. He would HONOUR the Taking Hold of the Flame and its result and waive the stipulation you beat Jason Zero to implement. And Jason Zero stormed to Rise to Greatness. He fell short, but that’s not the point.”

Ravyn then pulls herself up from the corner and walks to the middle of the ring.

Ravyn: “The fact is Alex that precedent is on Zoe’s side, on Syren’s side. And she is in the Taking Hold of the Flame battle royal. And we will do everything to ensure she wins. And so Alex…why am I saying all of this tonight?”

Ravyn pauses and looks down.

Ravyn: “Consider it respect? Or consider it manipulation? Consider it whatever you wish. Consider it time that won’t need to be wasted. You can either continue with precedent…honouring the position of the victor of the Taking Hold of the Flame battle royal. Or you can focus on legalities that cheapen what already exists. Either way, Alex…you will again be at the heart of the issue again.”

Ravyn pauses one more time.

Ravyn: “Quoth the Ravyn, Nevermore!”

“Bad Girl” plays as Ravyn Taylor drops the microphone. She turns and calmly walks to the ropes, stepping through them and dropping to the floor. She then heads to the back.

Sharper: “A history lesson with Ravyn Taylor…”

Knots: “With history maybe on Syren’s side if she can get it done. But all that requires Syren to win. And she’s at times looked amazing, and others, maybe has lost a step.”

Sharper: “All they’re hoping for is for Syren to win and if she does…then it’s to Alex Desoubrais, to CHBK, to make the call. And no matter what, the ramifications would be enormous.”

Knots: “And what does Syren? Or Xander? Or CHBK think about that!?”

Sharper: “The last one maybe all that matters.”

Ravyn Taylor continues to walk up the rampway to the back as the scene cuts away.

“Psycho in my Head” by Skillet plays as the Breakdown logo comes up on the screen. We then see a still of Glory Braddock vs. Xander Valentine come up.

Sharper: “Folks, this could be a classic, or it could be chaotic.”

Knots: “And we won’t know until it’s over. Will the Dangerous Minds respect Angelica Jones’s request? Will the Cowgirls from Hell? We’ll find out…next!”

The scene fades out.

COMMERCIALS

Deanna Frost is talking to a crew member when we see Hiro Tanaka, phone in hand, walking over to her with purpose.

Tanaka: “Deanna…Please, a moment?”

Deanna turns from the crew member and goes to Tanaka.

Deanna: “Hiro, what’s wrong?”

Tanaka: “I just got a very worrying phone call. Jessica…”

Deanna: “What?”

Tanaka: “She’s escaped. And apparently with help.”

Deanna: “What?”

Tanaka: “They said a large man. And many felt uneasy when he was around. He visited Jessica. And now she’s gone.”

Deanna: “Gone…Hiro-“

Tanaka: “We’re working with them.”

Deanna: “It was The Enigma. Is he here?”

Tanaka: “I…I don’t know.”

Deanna: “Check. Please, Hiro…check.”

Tanaka: “I will.”

Tanaka heads off as Deanna runs her hand down her jaw, clearly concerned as we cut away.

Glory Braddock vs. Xander Valentine

A long church bell rings, once- twice- a third time as the crowd explodes. The lights go out as Xander’s voice echoes out over the sound system, increasing the intensity of the crowd’s roar.

“Never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.”

The few opening keystrokes of “Soul on Fire” by Last Internationale chimed. A lull before the storm as the crowd seems to calm for only a moment before Delila Paz’s blues dominate the audio.

“Some are born to kill

Others are born to run

Some need to keep on takin'

Till you ain't got none”

A singular light appears before the curtains, on the other side is the outline of a large man. On the screen, we’re shown Xander Valentine holding onto the bars of a prison cell. He starts to bend the bars before the scene blurs.

“But baby, I wasn't built to die

Lay down and be crucified

Nah, no matter how hard they try

To push me down

Still I rise”

“Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)

Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)”

The curtain drops to reveal Xander. A quick salvo of pyros explodes in front of him before he steps through the smoke with an intense look on his face. He goes from one side of the stage to the next, yelling out to the crowd and throwing up his arms. He then stops at the top of the ramp and throws his arm up into the air. He starts down the ramp, Xander’s gaze affixed on the ring.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a thirty minute time limit. First, fighting out of Fort Collins, Colorado from Rochester, New York… he is the Paragon of Violence, the Executioner…. XANDER F’ING VALENTINE!”

Suffocate me until I am blue

To preserve my bad worldview

Paranoid, All Eyes On Me

Rumours circle, vultures feed

Baby, I wasn't built to die

Lay down and be crucified

Nah, no matter how hard they try

To push me down

Still I rise

Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)

Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)

Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)

Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)

Xander leaps up onto the apron in a single bound. Xander climbs up over the top rope and marches straight to the far side of the ring. He throws his arms up again, getting a massive pop. He goes to the opposite side and repeats to garner the same response. He hops down from the rope, and jogs into place, waiting for the bell.

Sharper: “Xander Valentine on the war path for Taking Hold of the Flame. So far, tonight, has been a little less hectic-“

Knots: “The night’s not even half done Sharper!”

Sharper: “True, but Xander Valentine will focus on his opponent, Glory Braddock. And as much as this will make Glory unhappy, there are a lot of similarities between Glory and Selena. Both have similar technical abilities. And that could be a factor at Taking Hold of the Flame.”

Knots: “While Xander reflects the roughneck style of the Cowgirls from Hell! Including the motorcycles!”

The first chords of "Immortal" by Ozzy Osbourne begins to play over the PA system...

Phillips: “His opponent, coming down the aisle, from London, England, she is The British Bombshell GLORY BRADDOCK!”

Glory Braddock steps out onto the stage, wearing her ring gear consisting of purple spandex pants, boots, and a purple top. She really does look like a million bucks and grins from ear to ear, gazing out at the crowd for a moment before making her way down the entrance ramp.

I come alive at the second of midnight
So I can fly when the world is asleep
You scream and howl as I'm taking the first bite
Blood on my tongue tastes of eternity

People will come and go
Some stories never told
They bury me down below
But I'll never die
'Cause I'm immortal
Yes, immortal

The British Bombshell steps up the steel steps and then onto the ring apron. She poses momentarily on the apron, allowing people to take snapshots before stepping through the ropes and into the ring.  Once in the ring Glory heads to the center of the ring and poses once more. Then the music dies down slowly...

Sharper: “Surprisingly no Brittany Lohan-“

Knots: “Maybe trying not to draw attention here. You know Glory has to have one eye to the World Title. A win over Xander? Xander wins the title? You don’t know how CHBK may be making decisions down the road.”

Sharper: “All wins are precious in SCW. We’ve talked about the parity in the roster in a lot of ways. While Selena Frost wants to ignore that, right now, the roster is about as even as it’s been in a while, with a lot of fresh blood.”

The bell sounds. Xander comes out, hands up, ready to fight. Braddock watches him as Xander steps up and swings. Glory ducks and spins around. She backs up again as Xander keeps advancing. He moves forward and swings again. Braddock ducks and spins around. Xander then reaches out to grab her and close the distance, but Braddock jumps up and tries to lock in the Shekinah Glory! She then forearms Xander in the jaw once and then again before Xander palms her in the chest, shoving her back. Glory rolls through and Xander lunges and goes for a clothesline. Braddock ducks and spins around. Xander turns and Braddock hits a dropkick. Xander falls back, hooking the top rope and backflipping through to land on his feet on the floor.

Sharper: “And up and over. Glory Braddock just trying to hit what she can against this monster.”

Knots: “Xander landed on his feet though!”

Glory grabs the top rope and then vaults over the top. Xander catches her though. The crowd ohs. Xander turns and runs to the ringpost, ramming Glory back first into the post. Sharper: “Braddock with a huge countering. Swinging through for add impact!”

Knots: “Xander got a bit cocky there I think. Glory saw the opening!”

Xander rolls over and stirs as Glory rolls over to the corner. She pulls herself to the middle turnbuckle. She looks at Xander and Xander gets up only for Glory to hit the Prankster’s Paradise. She turns and hooks the leg.

Knots: “And Xander in trouble in the middle of the ring. And he’s down. Can’t gets his knees under him.”

Glory pulls back as the crowd roars. Xander grits his teeth as Glory keeps pulling and tearing at the arms. Xander rolls to his stomach and Glory shifts too. Knots: “Oh! Glory was cooking, but Xander wanted dessert!”

Sharper: “Catching her, swinging her around, and then planting her. And now trying to get the blood flowing in his arm.”

The crowd cheers as Xander gets up. He walks around the ring and Glory rolls over and Xander hits a running knee lift. Glory falls back. She crawls to the ropes. She then starts to get up and Xander grabs her from behind. The crowd roars. He pulls her back for the Fade to Black.

Sharper: “Fade to Black coming. And Glory, last time, passed out to this move.”

Knots: “This is why she was so driven to win tonight. This is why it’s personal! She never forgot it! And it may happen again!”

Glory fights though and then manages to step forward enough to push off the middle rope. Xander however adjusts, holding her up in a tombstone position. Sharper: “Xander has made his position felt. Tonight, though, he focused on doing that talking in the ring. Just like he intends to do at Taking Hold of the Flame!”

Knots: “And Glory got what she wanted in one sense. Just wanted the win to cap it off.”

Sharper: “You’re right there.”

Xander gets up and looks around as the official raises his arm. He then walks over to the corner and to the camera.

Backstage, Xander Valentine walks down the hallway, heading to his locker room. As he walks forward, he stops and looks up as Selena Frost stands in front of him. The crowd boos loudly.

Selena: “How about you just watch what will happen to you again at Taking Hold of the Flame. I’m not worried about empty threats.”

Selena goes to walk past.

Selena: “Although, if I was you, I’d take the cheap shot now to get out of another humiliation at my hands.”

Selena then walks past Xander. Xander doesn’t even look back, continuing to look forward. He then continues on his way. Selena glances back and then turns back, shaking her head as Breakdown cuts to the ring.

Leroy Adams vs. Crystal Zdunich vs. Chris Lawler vs. Sean Michael Prime

The dimmed lights cast an atmosphere of anticipation as the arena falls into darkness, the only illumination coming from the pulsating strobe lights. The crowd's murmurs fade into a hush as the opening chords of "Warrior" by Imagine Dragons reverberate through the speakers, electrifying the air with anticipation.

From the depths of the darkness, a figure emerges, his silhouette outlined against the backdrop of flashing lights. With each step, the floor trembles beneath his feet, echoing the determination that propels him forward. It's Chris Lawler, a titan among men, his presence commanding attention as he strides purposefully down the entrance ramp.

His eyes, a piercing shade of blue, remain fixed on the ring ahead, unwavering in their focus as if they could pierce through the very fabric of reality. Ignoring the cacophony of cheers and jeers that surround him, Lawler remains resolute in his mission, his gaze locked on the squared circle where his destiny awaits.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and is a fatal four way match with a fifteen minute time limit. First, on his way to the ring, from Nashville, Tennessee, he is Chris Lawler!”

As Lawler reaches the foot of the ring, the strobe lights reach a crescendo, bathing him in a pulsating glow of light and shadow. With a subtle nod to the crowd, Lawler ascends the steel steps, each footfall a testament to his unwavering determination.

Finally, he steps between the ropes, his presence filling the ring with an aura of intensity and purpose. Standing tall in the center of the ring, Lawler raises his gaze to the heavens, a silent vow etched upon his features. Tonight, he will leave everything in the ring, his spirit unbroken, his resolve unyielding, as he prepares to face whatever challenges come his way.

Sharper: “We heard from Lawler earlier tonight before Waylon Creek approached him.”

Knots: “Went from a feel-good moment to something just odd and creepy. Creek just threatening Lawler. Almost telling him to stay in his lane.”

Sharper: “Can he reset here?”

The entire arena fades to black as we are left in nothing but darkness. All of a sudden Crystal's voice can be heard all throughout the speaker systems.

"YOUR SMILE MAKES MY HEART EXPLODE... THANK YOU FOR WAKING ME UP!!!!"

As soon as that is said explosions can be heard going off as we are treated to some flame pyros.

Smile Bomb by 17thekid plays across the speakers and it is at that moment when the crimson red haired "Burning Rose" Crystal Zdunich walks from the curtains. She makes her way to the ring. Crystal is focused as she walks to the ring with a purpose.

Phillips: “Next, from Los Angeles, California…”

The crowd roars.

Phillips: “She is the Burning Rose, Crystal Zdunich!”

She however slaps the outstretched hands of fans along the way. She runs up the stairs and walks to the middle of the apron. She flicks her hair before she drops down into a split that gains the pop of the entire crowd. She slides into the ring and as soon as she is inside she kips up to her feet. She tosses her Shoto inspired hoodie out of the ring as she awaits the start of the match.

Sharper: “Can this be the night Zdunich needs, in her hometown, turning things around?”

Knots: “Flashes of brilliance, but she needs to put it all together. And it’s not always been there.”

As the arena lights dim, a hushed anticipation falls over the crowd. The haunting notes of Metallica's "Turn the Page" resonate through the speakers, setting the stage for the arrival of Sean Michael Prime. Slowly emerging from the shadows. Sean stands at the top of the ramp with a determined gaze. He walks with purpose down the entrance ramp, his worn silhouette illuminated by a lone spotlight.

Phillips: “Next, making his way to the ring, from Salem, Massachusetts, Sean Michael Prime!”

With every step, SMP absorbs the energy of the arena, his long hair flowing in rhythm with the haunting melody. As the chorus kicks in, the crowd begins to stir, caught between the raw emotion of the song and the enigmatic presence of Sean as he slowly approaches the ring. Sean climbs into the ring, casting a stoic gaze across the audience. The metallic strains of "Turn the Page" amplify the intensity of the moment. Sean starts pacing around the ring awaiting for the start of the match.

Knots: “Speaking of needing to put it all together…”

Sharper: “Prime has gotten more and more desperate in recent weeks. He’s so close to snapping.”

Knots: “How much longer do you think…”

Sharper: “He’s got talent, but it’s becoming hard to watch as sometimes when everything goes bad, it keeps getting bad.”

“Son Of The Dirty South” by Brantley Gilbert ft Jelly Roll rings out over the arena as LeRoy Adams walks out behind the curtain as he stops on the stage. He head bobs to the music a minute before bobbing his whole body as he really gets into the music before focusing on the ring.

Phillips: “And finally, from Pacagoula, Mississippi, he is Leroy Adams!”

He marches his way the ring slapping hands with fans, taking a swig of a fans beer. He makes it the ring and rolls in. He staggers up to his feet and walks over to the corner, takes off his wife beater and climb up the turnbuckle. He throws his hands up before jumping down and getting ready for the match.

Sharper: “Rounding out this unique match here is Leroy Adams, another newcomer to SCW.”

Knots: “Seems a bit friendlier than Waylon Creek!”

Sharper: “One way to put it. Had an impressive start. You wonder whether he can keep it going with some veterans though. All four in this match have years of experience over him.”

The bell sounds. Leroy Adams turns and just muscles up Crystal Zdunich and body slams her. He turns and SMP nails him with a hard right and then another and another before grabbing him and throwing him into the corner. SMP turns around and Lawler nails him with a hard right. SMP goes down. He pops back up and Lawler kicks him in the ribs and whips him into another corner. Lawler runs after and SMP gets an elbow up. Lawler stumbles out and SMP runs out and clotheslines him down before turning and Adams runs out and shoulder SMP down. SMP rolls over only for Zdunich to dropkick Adams down. Zdunich turns around and nails Lawler with a couple of hard rights. She runs into the ropes, bouncing off and Lawler then catches her with a military press. Sharper:” And a full nelson applied by Leroy Adams.”

Knots: “Now if someone comes up and decks SMP, he can relive his time in prison”

Sharper: “Stop it!”

SMP keeps fighting and Adams tries to pull down on the head. SMP struggles and Zdunich runs across the ring, jumping off the ropes behind Adams and hitting a springboard dropkick. Sharper: “Lawler going for the ankle. His version of the ankle lock. And Zdunich in a bad place!”

Knots: “Just pulled her leg out from under her!”

Lawler keeps torquing as the crowd roars as Zdunich reaches out. She brings her hand up, appearing to be about to tap. Lawler keeps the hold on as the official checks before SMP hits a roundhouse kick. Lawler falls back and SMP lunges to catch him, but Lawler falls through the ropes to the floor. Sharper: “Why not? He just won his second match in SCW!”

Knots: “And against three veterans! And he’s a rookie!”

Sharper: “Talk about another impressive win!”

Knots: “You wonder if Waylon Creek rattled Lawler. For SMP and Zdunich, you wonder if it’s all getting to them!”

Adams keeps celebrating as Zdunich rolls over to the ropes, holding her ankle. Lawler leans on the apron as the scene cuts away.

Aaron Demitra can be seen going over the official’s assignments once more before Steven Hollinsworth leaves to head out for the next match. A knock at the door gets his attention. The SCW World Champion, Selena Frost walks over to him.

Selena: “Aaron, hopefully having a good night.”

Demitra doesn’t at first respond.

Selena: “Ready to officiate the main event. Call it as it should be.”

Demitra stops and sighs.

Demitra: “Selena…please.”

Selena: “Just want to make sure you’re feeling good. And that you’re feeling respected. You deserve every main event. Every match with the World Title involved. You should have never been removed from the main event at Rise to Greatness-“

Demitra: “Yes, I should have.”

Selena: “Don’t bother with the company guy routine. I know you’re upset-“

Demitra: “I wasn’t. I was still given my bonus as usual. It was what was needed for integrity. They did an investigation. I was cleared. I knew I would be. But I understood.”

Selena: “There was no need for it-“

Demitra: “Yes, there was. Especially when due diligence was happening. You seem to be the only one who doesn’t understand.”

Selena: “I don’t feel a need to understand what isn’t right.”

Demitra: “Then understand this…please stop coming to see me during shows and checking in. This year, I’ve had more people question my integrity when I’ve just done my job.”

Selena looks at Aaron, trying to figure out what to say.”

Demitra: “You’ve done more to tar my integrity by how you’re acting.”

Selena: “Aaron-“

Demitra: “Just leave. I have a job to do. But don’t worry…I’ll be officiating your main event.”

Selena looks at Demitra with a bit of annoyance before backing up and choosing not to say anything and walking off.

Polly Pingotti vs. Cassie Wolfe vs. Brittany Lohan vs. Derek Adonis

KABLAAAAAAAAAAM!!!

The sound of a xylophone scale is heard, signifying the start of the KABLAMian Taberacle Choir's jingle, "Come In KABLAMia"...

Derek Adonis rolls out atop the ramp on a cloud, alongside a number of the citizens of KABLAMia: Sweet Sangria, Mimi Mimosa, Het Meisje, and Anastasia Fantasia among them. The crowd rise to their feet in a raucous applause at the display of flesh in front of them...

Welcome to the land that loves below the belt
The sky’s are clear and pleasure is felt
Come in KABLAMia, come in KABLAMia

Adonis partially rises to his knees, waving out to the crowd as chants of "KABLAM" ring out throughout the arena. The cloud continues to roll it's way down the ramp.

Where fun-loving people can give right in
To a Man Mountain utopia where everyone wins
Come in KABLAMia, come in KABLAMia

Sweet Sangria always dressed in smile
Many men and women will go the extra mile
Come in KABLAMia, come in KABLAMia

The women on the cloud toss out small, travel-sized bottles of Derek Adonis Heavy KABLAM Lubricant and folded up travel brochures to the crowd.

Phillips: “The following contest is a fatal fourway match scheduled for onefall and has a fifteen minute time limit. First, on his way to the ring, accompanied by the KABLAMia Tourism Board, from KABLAMia, he is Man Mountain, Derek Adonis!”

The lube flows freely, never enough
It’s a copyrighted formula, the right stuff
But even still they make you feel right at home
Whether you love cleaning the carpet or polishing chrome

The cloud makes it to the bottom of the ramp and Adonis hops off first, reaching up to help the four primary women off. They step down, each planting a kiss on the cheek of Man-Mountain before heading up the stairs. Adonis follows up last and pulls himself through the ropes, lifting them for the four women to enter the ring as well.

We don’t kink-shame here, it never allowed
It’s a comfortable place while you’re being plowed
Your greatest dreams are always on tap
Your can register now with our convenient app

Adonis moves around to the four corners, climbing onto the bottom rope to throw out travel brochures as far as he can.

That’s right, KABLAM is expanding…
It’s the dream of Derek Adonis
Come in KABLAMia, sunny KABLAMia
We mean YOU!

After finishing (heh), Adonis moves to the middle of the ring, posing with the four women around him. As the song ends, he bellows out with it...

Adonis: "KABLAAAAAAAAAAAAM!"

Knots: “I never get sick of hearing that. Plus, I have my tickets ready to go.”

Sharper: “When are you going?”

Knots: “Right before Taking Hold of the Flame. Want to see what it’s like before it gets too touristy. You know Adonis’s plans?”

Sharper: “Going to invite everyone in the Taking Hold of the Flame.”

Knots: “Yeah. And I don’t know about you, but while I’m neck deep in some fun, I don’t want Waylon Creek looking at me from across the way!”

"I Am Machine" by Three Days Grace blasts over the loudspeakers as the lights in the arena go out and the fans instantly start to boo heavily when they recognize whose theme song it is. Just a spotlight focuses on the curtains of the entrances the clips once again fades away into the words that read: “Bleeding you is more than just torment.”

The curtains slowly start to part as Brittany Lohan, slips through the curtain like a slithering snake. She looks like everything, but relaxed as her whole body is tensed looking like she’s ready to strike at the drop of a dime like a coiled cobra. Her icy eyes pan around the arena and the fans closest to the ramp and she snarls at a few of them get a little too vocal with her. However, the moment that her eyes catch the glimpse of the ring she shuts the fans out and turns all of her attention to the squared circle.

Phillips: “Next, from San Diego, California, she is Brittany Lohan!”

With clenched fists, gritted teeth, and glaring icy eyes… Lohan starts to make her way down to the ring methodically. Lohan is taking slow, calculated, but powerful steps towards the ring. Her icy glare is so fixated on the ring that it would seem to appear that she doesn’t realize that the arena is nearly sold out. The way that she looks right now it might as well be empty for all she cares.

As she nears the squared circle, Lohan slows down to a snails pace as she proceeds to walk around the perimeter of the ring with her eyes closed. When she’s satisfied she opens her eyes and reaches up to grab the bottom rope with her right hand and pulls herself up onto the apron only allowing one knee to touch before she rolls into the ring.

With Lohan in the ring she gets on both of her knees, closing her eyes, as she lifts both of her arms up into the air. She holds that position for several seconds before she slows climbs up to her feet, but then as if a switch was flipped somewhere her entire presence changes. It intensifies as she starts to warm up by running off the ropes and doing some stretches as she waits for her victim of the night. Lohan’s video finishes up with the words: “…Just stand there and stare as my world crumbles.”

Sharper: “And Brittany Lohan has been goading the tag division to come out here in this one.”

Knots: “Could help Derek Adonis with his Underground avenues too!”

Sharper: “I can only hope that SCW security will be ready to keep this between these four individuals.”

The opening riff of “Wolf Within” hits the speakers and once the lyrics kick in Cassie Wolfe emerges from the back excited to start the match, with her hands on her leather jacket’s sides the rookie wrestler turns her back to the crowd.

Phillips: “Introducing next, from Greenock, South Australia and now residing in Las Vegas, Nevada, “The Rebel Princess” Cassie Wolfe!”

When her name is announced Cassie spins around flashing the metal horns sign with her left hand and clapping fans hands with the other, when she reaches the ring Cassie jumps onto the apron before giving her hair a full flip and removing her jacket to give to a stagehand, she then jumps over the top rope and into the ring, rolling to her knees and basking in the moment.

Sharper: “Cassie Wolfe hoped to face Simon Lyman last week in her home country. It didn’t happen, but now she can take out some frustrations.”

Knots: “Good luck against Lohan.”

Sharper: “Wolfe has shown she is fearless. She’s gone after Simon Lyman. She’s taken the fight to so many. And she’s got a bright career ahead of her.”

A coin can be heard dropping into a coin slot.  A few seconds pass, which is when an open field is shown up on the SCW tron.  A flock of birds rise up from the tall grass and fly away as the sound of a piano can be heard playing, leading into the opening of "Bird Set Free" by Sia.  The moment the opening words are heard, Polly steps out from the back and stands at the forefront on the stage.  She looks up at the tron to see one straggling bird rise up from the grass all by its lonesome. Polly admires the one small bird that begins to fly away now too until Sia reaches the chorus, which is when she turns around as a pair of pyros goes off on each side of the entranceway.  The nearest camera catches her piercing bright green eyes as she begins to walk down the ramp and down to the ring.

Phillips: “And finally, making her way to the ring, from Panguitch, Utah, she is Polly Pingotti!!!”

Polly does smile but only briefly as she turns her attention to the task at hand.  She can hear the usual mix of cheers and boos, leaning more towards cheers than boos.  She gives one full look around the arena before she slides into the ring under the bottom rope.  Once inside the ring she stands right up, closes her eyes, and presents a flying motion.  She opens her eyes back up and light on her feet chooses a corner of the ring to wait in.  With her arms now back at her sides, her focus builds on the fight that she is about to go through.

Sharper: “Polly Pingotti rounding out the field in this one and she got a nice shot in on Selena two weeks ago.”

Knots: “She’d love to follow up on that one if she wins Taking Hold of the Flame.”

Sharper: “The glass ceiling above her keeps cracking. It may just be a matter of when, especially if some of the challenges she had last year are well behind her.”

Derek Adonis turns as the bell sounds, holding out three pamphlets. He extends one to Polly, another to Brittany, before Polly runs across and nails Derek Adonis with a running dropkick. The crowd ohs as Adonis goes down and rolls over. Polly turns as Lohan then runs over and Wolfe runs up and hits a flying headscissors. Lohan rolls through to the ropes. Wolfe turns and Polly gets up and runs at her and hits a crucifix into a pin.

The crowd ohs. Lohan turns and Polly nails her with a forearm shot and then another and another before going to whip her into the ropes, but Lohan spins through and sends her in. Polly bounces off and Lohan hits a powerslam.

Sharper: “The strength of Lohan taking Wolfe down and then slamming Polly to the mat.”

Knots: “Derek. How about you try again?”

Lohan gets up as Adonis reaches out, extending a pamphlet. Lohan grabs it and looks at it and crumples it down before throwing it down. She then stomps Adonis in the face once and then a couple of times in the stomach, causing him to roll to the floor. The crowd boos a bit as Lohan turns and motions to the back.

Lohan: “Come on out!”

Lohan walks around as the crowd cheers.

Sharper: “Lohan doing what she said. She’s got the ring. She’s got a match where she can’t be DQed and she wants to fight.”

Knots: “So is anyone going to come out?”

Sharper: “Wolfe is going to come after Lohan!”

Wolfe runs up behind Lohan and nails her in the back with a couple of hard shots before Lohan elbows her in the jaw. Wolfe falls back and hits the ropes. Lohan then grabs her and pulls her in and sets up for a powerbomb, but Wolfe uses her momentum and counters with a facebuster. She rolls over and hits a standing moonsault.

She pulls her up for a back suplex, but Wolfe counters by twisting and into a sunset flip.

Sharper: “And Lohan with a vicious suplex. Just throwing Polly back.”

Knots: “Almost as if she was nothing. Lohan probably didn’t care about the many stomps from Polly!”

Lohan turns and Derek Adonis is back in and jumps up and hits a crossbody, taking down Lohan. He stays on her for the pin.

Lohan kicks out. Adonis rolls off and gets up. He motions to Sweet Sangria as Lohan turns and Derek runs at her. Lohan attempts a clothesline. Adonis ducks it and stops at the ropes. Lohan turns and Adonis grabs her by the head and throws her through the ropes. She lands on a chair that was opened and placed at ringside. Sangria looks up at Adonis who gives her a thumbs up and smiles. Lohan looks at it more annoyed.

Sharper: “Lohan sent to the floor.”

Knots: “There was a chair there. And it looks like Adonis wanted that there.”

Sharper: “He did say he had other ideas and was thinking about going hardcore…”

Knots: “I thought something else or maybe…”

Adonis drops down to the floor and then moves over to Lohan. Lohan gets up annoyed and Adonis then scoops her up and slams her on the chair. The crowd ohs as Lohan lands awkwardly. Adonis smiles as he turns to the ring only for Wolfe to run at the ropes, diving over the top rope with a corkscrew somersault dive and Adonis and Wolfe fall into the barricade. The crowd cheers.

Sharper: “Adonis going hardcore there with Lohan. I don’t know if that’s smart-“

Knots: “Wasn’t because he took his eye off the other two and Wolfe just took him out!”

Wolfe rolls over as the crowd applauds. Wolfe winces and turns as she grabs Adonis, trying to get him up. She places him on the ring apron, but Polly runs over and hits a baseball slide, knocking Adonis back. Polly gets up as Wolfe climbs onto the apron and grabs Polly. Polly forearms her and Wolfe nails her with a shot of her own. Polly fires back and Cassie responds before Polly sends Wolfe face first into the top turnbuckle. Wolfe staggers back and Polly grabs the top rope and flips over and hits a sunset flip powerbomb onto Wolfe to the floor. The crowd ohs. Polly walks around and Lohan nails her with a clothesline. Lohan then turns and grabs the steel chair. He folds it up and Adonis starts to get up. His Tourism Board run as Lohan then nails Adonis in the back with the chair. He yells out and falls to the floor. Lohan throws the chair down before turning and grabbing Polly and rolling her into the ring.

Sharper: “Lohan with revenge after Wolfe down. She’s going for Polly.”

Knots: “Wolfe is down. Adonis may be done. Polly’s the threat!”

Lohan slides in after and grabs Polly, but Polly hits a jawbreaker. Lohan staggers. She then turns back and Polly hits a frankensteiner and then mounts Lohan, hammering away on her with hard right hands. She gets up and walks around the ring. Lohan slowly gets up and Polly runs over and hits the Head Turner. Lohan hits the mat. Polly goes for the pin.

Sharper: “Lohan dazed already from the goal kick and Adonis! With the chair! A splash!”

Knots: “Oh my God!”

Adonis remains on her.

Lohan pushes him off. Adonis rolls off and Lohan turns and Wolfe hits a running dropkick. Lohan falls through the ropes to the floor. Wolfe then looks on as she turns around and Adonis scoops her up and then hits a fallaway slam. Wolfe rolls through to the floor. Adonis then falls over, wincing, holding his chest as Polly stirs in the background. Lohan however gets up on the floor, annoyed and pulls herself up, only for the crowd to erupt in a cheer as Dumont and Striker hop the barricade and Dumont runs at Lohan and clotheslines her down. Striker comes up behind Lohan and lifts her up in the electric chair. The crowd erupts in cheers as Dumont climbs onto the apron. Dumont points at Lohan.

Dumont: “You wanted this!”

Striker: “Damn right she did!”

Dumont then lunges and hits the Flashpoint. Lohan drops to the ground. The crowd ohs. Dumont and Striker look at their handiwork before the crowd boos as they turn to see Dylan Howell and Simon Lyman grabbing Wolfe and hoisting her up and throwing her back first into the ringpost with a powerbomb. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “Dangerous Minds attacking Lohan! But on the other side of the ring! Lyman getting some revenge against Wolfe!”

Knots: “He won’t let it go!”

Sharper: “I don’t know if he can!”

Lyman and Howell look around. They keep watching, almost as if they’re waiting for someone.

Lyman: “Where the hell is she? Doesn’t she care about her friend?”

Howell: “Maybe just like Amy?”

Lyman: “Screw it!”

Lyman and Howell head to the back as Adonis turns to Polly in the ring and goes for a running clothesline, but Polly jumps up and counters with a crucifix pin. She lets go and Adonis rolls through. He gets up and Polly kicks him in the ribs and hits the Polly Pop. She rolls him over.

3!

The bell sounds. Polly rolls off.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Polly Pingotti!”

Sharper: “And Polly wins, with chaos around her, she focused on one thing. The win.”

Knots: “And she didn’t miss. Talk about a turn around there. And the games all around as we may say, and Polly is staying true!”

Polly gets up and has her arm raised. The crowd roars as Polly looks around. Wolfe winces on the floor as Lohan remains down, grimacing in pain. Adonis is down as Polly looks back at him before turning and looking out at the crowd. She then lets out a yell of celebration before extending he arms and nodding before pointing to the ring. The crowd looks on as the scene cuts away.

Kimberly Williams walks backstage in her gear, holding her SCW Underground Championship as the crowd cheers seeing her. She continues to walk down the hallway before stopping and seeing Eavan Maloney, holding “barbie,” her barbed wire baseball bat, playing with the barbs. Kim stops and looks at her and nods.

Kim: “I’m going to like you!”

Kim then turns and heads off to the ring.

Sharper: “Kimberly Williams faces off against Scott Reed! Next!”

The scene fades out.

COMMERCIALS

Scott Reed vs. Kimberly Williams

Phillips: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall!

The arena goes dark and a voice can be heard saying ”And the story goes…a young man will come…to save the universe from the forces of evil…

The voice dies down for a few moments before “I Will” by Eminem featuring KXNG Crooked, Royce da 5'9" & Joell Ortiz kicks in.

“And I don't think that I can stop it, here it comes…I do my best to try to block it, redrum…I've been sipping on like, vodka, head's numb...I'm blacking out, you better watch it, it's bedlam…”

The lights come back on and Scott Reed steps out from the entrance way, the crowd erupting in cheers.

“I thought I heard a voice in my head that said, "Kill"

I had no other choice that was left except fill

My pencil full of poisonous lead, the devil

He wants me to murder this beat, so I will”

Reed makes his way down the ramp, slapping hands with fans along the way. He reaches the ring and goes up the ring steps. Going across the apron, he looks out at the crowd once again as they continue to cheer. Climbing into the ring, Reed goes to the center.

Phillips: “Introducing, weighing in at two-hundred and twenty pounds, hailing from New York City, New York…he is…Scott! Reed!”

“He told me there are doubters who question my skill

They wanna put my style to the test, am I still

The best? They want the crown on my head, I said, "Chill

If you want me to murder this beat, then I will"

Reed climbs up to the top rope and points to the center of his chest, mouthing the words, ‘I will’ as the music dies down. Hopping down from the turnbuckle, he leans into the corner, waiting for the match to begin.

Phillips: And his opponent, from Boston, Massachusetts, she is the SCW Underground Champion, representing the Queens of Chaos, “The Queen of the Death Match” Kimberly Williams!

The lights go out, except for a single spotlight at the top of the stage. The opening chords to “Patient Number 9” by Ozzy Osbourne begins to play.  A haunting voice is heard…

"Is there a way out of here?"

"Hey, how long you been here?"

"I wanna go home"

"Hey, hahaha"

"Hahaha"

"Excuse me, could you tell how to get out of here?"

"Hahaha"

"I want to go home"

"Hahaha"

"Mommy, mommy"

The song begins to rage full bore now.  Suddenly the lights come back on and Kimberly Williams is standing at the top of the stage to a loud, mostly positive, reaction from the fans.  A sinister smirk is on her face as she ponders what she is about to do tonight.  She winks at the fans before pointing towards the ring and making a beeline towards it.  She slides into the ring underneath the bottom rope.  Kimberly then poses in the center of the ring to another loud reaction from the fans.  The music slowly dies down and Kimberly goes to a corner to await the start of the match.

Reed attempts a clothesline but Kim ducks and lands a pele kick.  Kim hits the ropes and lands a discuss elbow followed up by a spinning heel kick.  Reed scrambles back to his feet but Kim lands a low dropkick to his knees followed up by a chop block.  Kim quickly takes the leg and applies a leg grapevine.

Sharper: “And Kim going for the leg, looking to immediately maybe make this a short one!”

Knots: “And Scott better move fast!”

Scott eventually reaches the ropes to force the break.  Kim drapes his leg across the bottom rope, leaps up, and drops her entire bodyweight on the leg.  She does this again.  She goes for it a third time and connects.  Kim reapplies the leg grapevine.  But again Reed manages to pull himself towards the ropes, reaching the bottom rope to force the break.  Kim breaks the hold and again drapes Reed’s leg on the bottom rope.  She leaps up but before she can land on his leg, Reed kicks her in the butt sending her tumbling to the outside.

Sharper: “Reed countering. Giving himself a bit of time.”

Knots: “Going to need more than that. And if Kirsten Scott is around…”

Williams pulls herself up to her feet while Scott gets back up.  Reed charges and leaps over the top with a suicide somersault senton, wiping out Williams!  He pulls Kimberly up and rolls her back into the ring.  Reed slides back into the ring.  Standing shiranui to Williams!  Reed then hits the ropes and charges in with a running shooting star press!  He hooks a leg for the cover…

…2Kickout!

Reed hooks Kimberly and delivers a turnbuckle power bomb.  Kimberly staggers out of the corner into an exploder suplex from Reed.  He floats over into another cover…

2…kickout!

Reed pulls Williams back to her feet.  He whips her into the ropes but he lowers his head a bit early and Kim makes him pay with a scissors kick to the back of his head.  Kimberly negotiates her way back to her feet.  Reed is back up but Kim takes him back down with a head scissors takedown.  Kim locks Reed in an inverted figure four leg lock.

Sharper: “Back to the leg!”

Knots: “Every time Kim is in a normal match she focuses on technical wrestling. Almost like she has a chip on her shoulder.”

The referee checks on Reed for a submission but he won’t give up.  He fights and crawls towards the ropes, slowly dragging Kim along with him.  Eventually he does manage to reach the bottom rope to force a break.  Kim pulls Scott back up and snaps off a dragon screw.  She tries to step through to lock in Scorned, her sharpshooter variant, but Reed counters with a small package…

1…

2…Kickout!

Reed scrambles back to his feet but Kim drops him with a drop toe hold and immediately steps through to apply an STF.

Sharper: “And again, to the legs. To the STF.”

Knots: “Reed is just getting gobbled up here.”

Again the referee is there to check on Reed but he shakes his head, refusing to quit even though he is in great pain.  He crawls towards the ropes while Kim tries to keep the hold cinched in tight.  Eventually Reed does reach the bottom rope to force the break.  Kim pulls Reed back up and sets up for another dragon screw but he counters with an enziguri kick to the back of Kim’s head, dropping her and buying himself some valuable time.  Reed crawls back to the ropes and uses them to pull himself back up, but it is obvious he is having difficulty putting weight on that leg.

Sharper: “And Reed is hurt.”

Knots: “I think that’s the point Sharper. Kim is trying to make him hate his life.”

Kimberly pulls herself back up to her feet.  She grabs Reed and tries for a suplex but Reed counters into a brainbuster into the turnbuckle!  He pulls himself back to his feet gingerly as Kim uses the ropes to pull herself back up.  Reed hooks her and snaps off a half and half suplex.  He rolls over into the cover…

2…

…3NO!

Reed pulls himself back up.  He shakes feeling back into his leg while Kim pulls herself back up.  He runs in and delivers a sunset flip power bomb!  Reed pulls Kimberly back to her feet.  He hooks her for a belly to back suplex, perhaps going for Unmasked but Kim flips over and lands on her feet.  Reed turns around into Morrigan’s Wrath, her superkick variant, straight to his jaw that sends him down to the mat.  Instead of covering, Kim takes his legs, steps through, and turns him over into Scorned, her sharpshooter variant.

Sharper: “And the Scorned! Locked in.”

Knots: “Scott just keeps going! He won’t quit!”

Scott refuses to quit, despite the pain and agony.  He crawls towards the ropes while Kim tries to keep the pressure applied, trying to force the submission.  Reed is fingertips away from the bottom rope when Kim drags him back out to the center.  Once again the referee is checking on Scott but he still won’t quit.  He keeps crawling back to the bottom ropes.  He is fingertips away, but Kim drags him back out to the center and applies an STF.

Sharper: “Back to the STF!”

Knots: “When does Reed just lose it. Every time he gets free, Kim locks him in something.”

Reed is in serious trouble.  The crowd is going crazy, some cheering him on, some cheering for Kim, others just wanting this incredible match to continue.  Reed keeps fighting, he won’t give in just yet.  He finally reaches the bottom rope to force the break.  Kimberly releases the hold and goes to a corner and waits, measuring Scott Reed.  She taps her knee, indicating she is going for Shadowblade.

Sharper: “And Kim looking to maybe end this. Shadowblade, coming up.”

Knots: “Good night Reed.”

Reed pushes himself back up to his knees and slowly but surely back to his feet.  He is on wobbly legs and is barely able to move.  Kim charges in, going for Shadowblade, but Scott sidesteps it to avoid contact.  Kim scrambles back to her feet but Reed is there to hoist her up and drop her with UNMASKED!  He rolls over into the cover…

…3NO! Kim kicks out!

Scott pulls Kimberly back to her feet.  He hoists her up an ddrops her with a spinning lifting inverted ddt, BUCK THE CORRUPT!  He goes outside and then dives over the top into a splash on Kimberly!  He stays on top and hooks a leg for the cover…

…3NO!  Kim kicks out!

Sharper: “And Kim just gets the shoulder up. Reed nearly got her!”

Knots: “Talk about an upset if that happened.”

Scott pulls Kimberly back up and whips her into a corner.  He charges in with a big splash.  He places her in a tree of woe position before delivering a double foot stomp!  Kim drops.  Scott pulls her up and plants her with a cradle ddt.  He pulls Kim up and drops her with an exploder suplex into the corner.  He drags her out and covers, hooking the leg…

…3NO! Kim kicks out!

Reed stands up.  He shakes feeling back into his legs while Kim tries to get back to her feet.  He measures Kimberly.  She is back to her hands and knees.  He charges in, he’s going for Empires Falling, but Kim avoids it just in time.  Scott turns and goes for a lariat but Kim ducks, goes behind, and locks in a crossface chicken wing.

Sharper: “And now the chickenwing.”

Knots: “His leg hurts and now his arm is going to if he’s even able to get free.”

Reed, being taller and stronger, is able to drag himself and Kim closer to the ropes.  Kim gets piggy back on Reed to apply more pressure and he drops to his knees.  Reed still refuses to give up.  With one monumental effort he pushes himself back up.  Kim is still hanging on piggy back.  Scott falls back with his entire body weight falling on Kim, crushing her underneath.  Both are down as the referee begins the mandatory ten count…

Kim is back to her feet.  Almost immediately after this Scott is back to his feet, trying to catch a breath in the corner.  Kim doesn’t give him the chance.  She charges in to strike but Reed gets a boot up into her face.  Reed with a wristlock transitioned into a springboard tornado ddt that plants Kimberly!

Sharper: “Reed with the DDT!”

Knots: “Kid keeps going. I call him a kid. He’s not that anymore. But he’s fighting.”

Kim rolls over onto her stomach to avoid being pinned.  Reed eventually gets back to his feet.  He pulls Kim back up and goes for another wristlock but before he can transition into the springboard Kim catches him with an arm ddt.  Kim quickly locks in the crucifix arm bar with neck submission, Homage to the Queen. Scott Reed wants to get to the ropes but Kimberly has him trapped!  And after the relentless submission attacks, he is growing fatigued and is unable to reach the bottom rope.  Still he won’t quit.  Instead he improvises…after much struggle he manages to roll himself over on top of Kim, forcing her shoulders down into a pinning combination…

Scott and Kim both are back up to their feet at about the same time.  Kim throws a superkick but Reed catches it and counters with an exploder suplex.  Reed rolls over and pushes himself up.  Kimberly tries to push herself up.  But Reed with a curb stomp, EMPIRES FALLING!  He rolls her over and goes for the cover…

Phillips: Here is your winner, Scott Reed!

Scott rolls off as he looks up, breathing heavily.

Sharper: “Scott Reed hit the Empires Falling at the right moment. And Kim couldn’t get the shoulder up!”

Knots: “He just survived that one. Survived it totally.”

Sharper: “And you can see. He’s now looking around. Looking for Scott! Looking for the attack!”

Scott turns and looks around before falling to the mat, exhausted and in pain. Kim rolls over, holding her head and neck and actually recovering a bit earlier.

“Psycho in my Head” by Skillet plays as the Breakdown logo comes up on the screen. We then see a shot of Bree Lancaster vs. Selena Frost.

Sharper: “And next, main event time. We’ve heard plenty from Selena Frost. Bree Lancaster focusing on proving it in the ring. And they’ll clash. Adrenaline Champion against World Champion, next!”

The scene fades out.

COMMERCIALS

Kimberly Williams is walking backstage, talking to herself.

Kim: “Well Scotty! You became a man today! How about that?!”

She takes a few more steps. She then runs over to Deanna Frost, who clearly is waiting for her.

Kim: “Hi DeeDee!”

Kim waves right in her face. Deanna grabs her arm, trying to stop her.

Deanna: “Kim, please-“

Kim: “Everyone has such nice manners around me!”

Deanna: “You’re facing The Enigma at Taking Hold of the Flame.”

Kim: “That’s the plan. Although, I think someone owns timeshare to get it.”

Deanna: “Can you be serious-“

Kim: “I plan to maim him and use his face as a hat.”

Deanna looks at Kim as Kim looks right at Deanna, deadfaced.

Deanna: “Ah…”

Kim: “Oh, I plan to do it, but it’s a joyous occasion. Want me to save some for you-“

Deanna: “No…just I’m going to be there too.”

The crowd roars.

Kim: “Hell yeah. With you, Oktoberfest, me…we’ll be like the revengers! And we’re going to go BIBLICAL on Enigma’s ass!”

Kim high fives Deanna as Deanna almost takes a moment to wonder what she’s done as the scene cuts to the ring.

Bree Lancaster vs. Selena Frost

The lights dim, only a few small ones on the stage as the voice of Bree Lancaster whispers:

“I am the light of the truth
The one who sees right through”

A guitar riff plays as the small lights dance around the stage, then suddenly stop, as one large beam shines down onto the figure of Bree herself.

“Spotlight”

The smaller lights begin again swirling as the music of “Spotlight” by Fozzy kicks in and Bree makes her way down the ramp. The SCW Adrenaline Championship is around her shoulder.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall for TV time remaining and is your main event of the evening. First, on her way to the ring, from New Orleans, Louisiana, she is the SCW Adrenaline Champion, Bree Lancaster!”

[I am the light of the truth, The one who sees right through
I know your every move, I got my eye on you
Go on and bury it down, I follow you 'til it's out
I got my eye on you, I got my eye on you]

Bree smiles at the front row fans as she gets to the ring and goes up the steps, stepping through the ropes. She goes to a corner and gets on the second turnbuckle, posing with one hand up overhead. The crowd cheers.

[You're the wicked, I'm a sharp knife
Shining on you like a spotlight
I'm a witness, I'm a dark night]

The lights go down, and one beam shines on Bree in the corner.

[You're a sickness, I'm your spotlight]

The lights come up and Bree hops down as the music fades out. Bree gets to her corner and looks around. She places her title in her corner.

Sharper: “Bree Lancaster and Selena Frost have taken some shots at one another the last few weeks. Selena more so to Bree. And this could be a potential Rise to Greatness main event.”

Knots: “Is Bree in the Taking Hold of the Flame?”

Sharper: “We assume so, but have not confirmed it. Names are being kept under wraps this year. Nonetheless, it is a possibility.”

The SCW World Championship is over her shoulder.

Slowly, Selena shifts her head, her sapphire eyes locked towards the ring as she turns to her side and lifts her front hand gracefully, extending it towards the ring, palm upward. With a lift of her front foot, she suddenly slams it down into the ground, causing a crack like ice to form and sprint down the ramp and towards the ring!

Phillips: “And her opponent, from Nome, Alaska, by way of New York City, New York, she is the SCW World Champion, the Snow Queen, Selena Frost!”

Lowering her arm, the Blue-Eyed Devil walks down the ramp, her steps leaving footprints in the “snow” under her feet. Reaching the ring, Selena goes up the steps and under the ropes to enter it. Once inside and in the center of the ring, she stands still, confident and powerful, as the lights form to make a massive blue and black snowflake under her and the purple and blue lights. Raising her hand back up, towards the audience, once again palm upright, a wicked smirk graces her lips. With a slam of her foot, Selena causes the snowflake at her feet to “crack” as the rampway did, the shards of ice streaking out to all four corners of the ring to shoot out purple streaks of light from the turnbuckle the lights return to normal. She then turns and hands her title to the official, Aaron Demitra. Demitra shakes his head as he walks off. Selena turns and stretches.

Sharper: “Selena Frost in the main event again-“

Knots: “Can’t have that. Or maybe Bree deserves it!”

Sharper: “Don’t get Selena started. But did you see that interaction between Selena and Aaron Demitra.”

Knots: “He told her off earlier. And Selena acting like it’s nothing. He’s probably the ref for Taking Hold of the Flame!”

Sharper: “Put in the middle of Selena’s crusade here and add Selena’s general disrespect for Xander, for others in SCW, the accusations on her, on Demitra…while Selena may just be protecting her title or doing things the way she feels they should be, it’s having notable effects.”

Knots: “And perception is reality?”

The bell sounds as Bree and Selena step up and lock up in the middle of the ring. They push back on one another and Bree turns into a side headlock. Selena reaches around and pulls her into the ropes. She fires her off. Bree hits the ropes and bounces off and shoulders Selena down. Selena looks up as Bree runs into the ropes. She bounces off. Sharper: “And Bree making a statement early. Selena has no answer there.”

Knots: “Almost as if she’s reminding Selena that she may be World Champion right now, but that can change in an instant.”

Sharper: “This is a non-title match though. We should make that clear. For both Bree and Selena. Adrenaline Champion facing World Champion here.”

Selena gets up and Bree follows up with a kick to the ribs. She then pulls her out and whips her across the ring. Selena bounces off and Bree hits a back elbow. Selena hits the mat and Bree jumps up and hits a knee drop. She rolls through and moves back for the pin.
