Bree Lancaster with the Perfect Ending, followed by a shot of Steve Griffin
hitting the Decimator off the top rope on CHBK at the first Rise to Greatness,
before turning a shot of Jake Starr pumping up the crowd on his way to the
ring, before turning into a shot of Ravyn Taylor sitting in the corner, waiting
for the start of a match. We then see a shot of Katie Steward holding the
Women’s Championship before cutting to a shot of Selena Frost hitting Vixen
Cain with the Defying Gravity at Supreme Saturday: Just Desserts.
“The leading force in sports and
entertainment today....”
MAIN SHOW:

And all my days turn into fight or flight

Trying to get back to who I used to be
Where is the old me?
Chris Cannon spearing Kennedy Street and Owen Cruze follows before we see a
shot of Alistaire Allocco on his way to the ring, and then a shot of Regan
Street and Datura swinging chairs at one another. The Breakdown logo comes up
on the screen and remains on it for a few moments.
We then cut to a live shot of the inside of the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore,
Maryland. The cameras pan across the crowd for a few moments.
Sharper: “Days away from
Taking Hold of the Flame, Breakdown rolls into Baltimore and tonight, one more
time, World Tag Team Championship, Jackass and Big Ass Connection faces Blake
Mason and Owen Cruze. Now, inside a steel cage.”
A shot of the steel cage
hanging over the ring is shown.”
Knots: “That thing is
following us everywhere!”
Sharper: “That’s not all. A
huge TV Championship match. Glory Braddock challenges Regan Street. And also,
Aaron Blackbourne will have a hell of a tune-up, against the man who lasted
with Bree Lancaster in the ironman match two weeks ago, Matt Hodges.”
Knots: “Blackbourne will have
a test. But this has another part to it. You know Alistaire Allocco will be
watching. Hodges is moving on. Allocco wants to still test himself against the
self-proclaimed World Class!”
Sharper: “But Matt Hodges will
be looking to show he is a threat this Sunday, while Blackbourne will have to
worry about Bree Lancaster looking over his shoulder.”
Suddenly the rift of “Fallen
Angel” by Three Days Grace begins to play, a lone spotlight centers in the
entrance way where Sienna Swann walks out with Chris Cannon and Xiomara Diaz.
The crowd boos seeing the trio. Sienna, however, has a smile on her face, and
is heading to the ring. Chris Cannon walks a few strides behind her. Xiomara
follows.
Sharper: “Sienna Swann joining
us here and she’s as happy as we’ve seen her in weeks.”
Knots: “Something tells me
that it has to do with a big change that’s taken place in the last week.”
Sharper: “That change, folks,
is that Blake Mason has waived his non-compete against Cannon and Swann to
compete in the Taking Hold of the Flame. He was influenced by Giovanni Aries’
actions, in that, he realized some things need a different tact.”
Sienna Swann reaches the ring,
jogging up the steel steps. She walks along the apron and into the ring as
Chris Cannon follows a few second back. Xiomara is last as Sienna walks over,
demanding a microphone. The crowd boos as Sienna takes the microphone from
Phillips and turns back to the middle of the ring.
Sienna: “Sorry. I don’t really
care about your jealousy or unjustified hatred to greatness tonight. Tonight, I
have cause to be happy!”
Sienna smiles.
Sienna: “Oh yes. See, I am
just days away from having the PERFECT night. A night where I can make a lot of
people bow down to my greatness, to Chris’s greatness…and realize that I will
always win in the end. While Bree will be defending and RETAINING her World
Championship against Aaron Blackbourne, I will be entering the Taking Hold of
the Flame with my husband and I get to get my hands on one individual who could
have had all of the glory in the world. We could have shown her what being a
star was. But instead, she listens to her brother, she listens to others,
instead of those who cared about her and now, we have to take the Star of
Tomorrow…and make her a footnote of today.”
Sienna pauses.
Sienna: “But that’s not why I’m
happy. I knew that was coming. I knew it was coming and I plan to still do it.
Don’t worry, Jordan. I’ll give you that satisfaction of having my attention
this Sunday for a brief moment, but you’re now small potatoes because there’s
someone else I have my eye on…and BLAKE…oh…I’ve been waiting for this!”
Sienna smiles. Chris even has
a brief smile on his face.
Sienna: “For four years when
you piledrove me there, right there in that corner. Four years, you’ve ran.
Chris has had his hands on you. Bree Lancaster knew to run. But now, you and
Iand Josh Hudson, I know you wanted him to join you in the ring. You two have
some relationship. Probably between two people who frankly should’ve left the
business years ago, lived off your millions before you’re found dead in a pile
of your own sex! I’m going to disappoint you again. Prove that just like years
ago, you weren’t good enough to hang with me, and you don’t matter in the grand
scheme of this business. I hope Erica has some good backup plans, just like
you. You won’t be getting Blake anytime soon because I plan to do everything I
can to toss him over this top rope and if he lands on his feet, it’s a
failure!”
The crowd boos.
Sharper: “Come on…”
Knots: “Geez…that’s how a sane
person talks, right?”
Sienna smiles again, letting
out a happy sigh.
Sienna: “Oh! I can’t wait. I
can’t wait for this Sunday because finally I can put that dead in the past
where it belongs! I’ll toss Majors in for good measure and ANYONE who gets in
our way.”
WATCH YOUR BACK!
With those words, “Sound of Madness” by Shinedown plays, an explosion or pyro
shoots high into the air from the stage and in front of the stage in another
wall of sparks. Lights start to circle the arena as several spotlights turn to
the stage. Jake Starr walks out from the back and looks around. He just smiles
and nods. Sienna turns, shaking her head as Starr, who holds a microphone,
turns to the middle of the ring. The music fades out. Sienna starts to speak.
Sienna: “You know, even you
coming out here to take some airtime you don’t deserve because you’re grasping
at whatever relevancy you can isn’t going to remove this smile from my face. In
fact, maybe I’ll add you to the list of people who we’re going to take
extensive pleasure in tossing over the top rope.”
Starr: “Well hot damn! Don’t I
feel honoured!”
Starr looks around.
Starr: “Well don’t worry,
Sienna. Because I have a list too! And it’s not a list of people you’re gonna
chuck over the top rope, likely with Chris there doing all the work. It’s a
list of people that are gunning to toss your ass over the top rope and drop you
right on those perfect ass cheeks. See, I don’t know if you realize…but a lot
of people hate you and for good reason. You’re whiny, you’re bitchy, you’re
self-absorbed. And trust me, I know a LOT about those things so it means plenty
when I say it!”
The crowd cheers. Sienna’s
smile does, indeed, disappear at this point.
Starr: “And well, I figured,
just because it can help you pump yourself up, I wanted you to know that while
you’re out here acting like you’re the greatest, I’ve got the GREATEST pool in
all time as the Jake Starr Let’s Toss Sienna Swann Out of the Flame pool. And
whoever succeeds gets a great steak dinner. I tried to give them some money,
but people wanted to be a part of this so much that they were willing to do
this for a ham sandwich. I couldn’t stand for that, so steak it is!”
Starr stops for a moment.
Starr: “And I’ll be grabbing
names all night. Just for you Sienna. Don’t worry, Christopher. You’re not
important enough. I mean, you’ve got your penis trophy. That’s plenty. This can
be all Sienna’s!”
The crowd roars as Chris steps
forward, annoyed as Xiomara stops him. Chris glances at her as Sienna glares at
him. Starr however turns away a moment.
Starr: “You are welcome to
sign up.”
Chris glares and presses down
on the ropes, telling him to get into the ring.
Starr: “Nah, you may trip over
yourself trying to kiss her ass. But whatever. So Sienna, grab to see you’re so
gung-ho.”
Sienna: “You want everyone to
come at me. You know NO ONE can handle us. NO ONE! Not even your little sister.
Guess you need to find some reason to give her a chance.”
Starr: “Trust me…I hope she
dumps your ass over the top rope. Then again, I hope she goes the whole way.
Something she’d never get if she was with you. The fact that I can have some
fun at your expense at the same time…that’s PERFECT!”
“Sound of Madness” plays as Sienna
just shakes her head as Starr turns and heads to the back. Sienna shakes her
head.
Sienna: “No…no! What will be
perfect is when we’re standing tall at the end!”
Sienna throws her microphone
down and walks around, the smile gone. Xiomara talks to her as Chris Cannon
keeps watching the stage.
Sharper: “Starr getting under
the skin of Sienna.”
Knots: “Switched on a dime.”
Sharper: “But this Sunday,
she’ll be focused. Chris will be focused. And Starr can have some fun at her
expense, but he knows as well as any, the importance of the Taking Hold of the
Flame battle royal this Sunday!”
The
scene cuts away.
COMMERCIALS
Sienna
Swann can be seen in her locker room shaking her head.
Sienna:
“Just going to make it all the more sweeter when we toss his ass over too.”
Sienna
heads off to the back part of the room as Chris Cannon throws his bag onto the
bench. It opens enough to reveal the award Cookie and Derek Adonis gave him
last week. Xiomara notices it.
Xiomara:
“Why do you still have that grotesque thing?”
Chris
glances and walks over. He grabs it and holds it up.
Chris:
“To remind me…”
Xiomara:
“You don’t need that reminder.”
Chris
glances at her.
Chris:
“Yeah I do.”
Chris
then places it right on the bench next to the bag. He looks at it and walks off
as the scene cuts away.
Konrad
Raab vs. Gavin Taylor
The lights around the arena
begin to flicker as "Whoa Is Me" by Down With Webster starts to play
over the arena.
Whoa is me
I'm so whoa
See me decked out from my head to my toe
Whoa is me
I'm so whoa
Everywhere I go I'm a one man show
Sharper: “And here comes Gavin Taylor, the self-proclaimed XIC Champion. This
young man is completely full of himself.”
Knots: “Watch your mouth! This is not only a worthy champion, but a champion of
the people!”
Sharper: “He’s a champion of delusion.”
And the song continues...
The crowd boos as "All Star" Gavin Taylor steps out from behind the
curtain onto the top of the ramp. As he stands in place, posing with his arms
outstretched, the chorus of the song plays.
Say whoa (whoa)
The more I feel it whoa (whoa)
The more I need it whoa (whoa)
You say whoa
Whoa is me
I'm so whoa
Gavin begins to walk down the ramp with swagger. He smirks as he gets to the
ring. Pulling himself to the apron, he hangs out off the ring while holding
onto the top rope.
The song continues...
I cheated to get what I got
Stepped all over you self for my spot
I bet you I'm winning, I bet that you're not
I bet you don't see me, I bet you get caught
Gavin pulls himself through the ropes and steps onto the second ropes on the
opposite side of the ring from the ramp. He opens his jersey, sliding it off
his shoulders as he stretches his arms out.
Turning around, he bounces back off the ropes as he watches for his opponent.
Cold as Ice by M.O.P plays over the sound system as Konrad comes out through
the curtain just wearing his blue and white mask with white hair along with his
wrestling trousers with his nickname The Iceman on the front of them with Pit
Bull Energy logos on the side of his trousers with black gloves on both of his
hands with a side cross necklace on his neck with the blue and black yin-yang
tattoo on his right shoulder, Iceman from X-Men tattoo on his back, Ice wolf on
his left chest and ice bear on his right chest.
Phillips: “From Cologne, Germany, he is The Iceman, Konrad Raab!”
He then high fives the fans as he goes up the stairs before going in-between
the ropes and does a holdup on each turnbuckle and everyone cheers him as he
gets down from the turnbuckle and does a few boxing punches to the cameras
before he looks at his opponent waiting for the match to start.
Sharper: And here’s Konrad Raab, looking to get back on the winning side of
things.”
Knots: “Not against the MVP of Life baby! He’ll be looking to make a statement
before Taking Hold of the Flame.”
The bell sound as Konrad and Gavin Taylor begin to circle one another. As
Konrad inches closer, Gavin Taylor pulls away, smirking. He pats himself on the
back as Konrad looks annoyed. Gavin circles and invites Konrad to collar and
elbow tie. Konrad comes towards Gavin but as he does, Gavin puts a boot to the
stomach of Konrad. He lifts Konrad’s head up to deliver a knife edge chop but
Konrad absorbs the blow and stares Gavin down. Gavin again with a knife edge
chop that Konrad doesn’t react to. Gavin looks concerned, bounds off the ropes,
but gets shoulder blocked by Konrad. He rolls into the corner as Konrad is in
hot pursuit. Konrad picks Taylor up into the corner and delivers a European
uppercut, followed by another. Konrad goes for the Irish whip into the opposite
corner. Taylor hits the buckle hard and comes out, staggering. As Konrad
approaches, Gavin dips to the mat and rolls out of the ring, shaking his head.
He wags a finger at some of the audience heaping boos at him.
Sharper: “This match is barely underway and Gavin Taylor is already avoiding
the dangerous German.”
Knots: “You say avoiding, I say playing it smart. Intelligence is key
when you’re a defending Champion.”
Sharper: “Give me a break.”
Konrad rolls to the outside as Gavin collects himself.
(1!)
Konrad pursues Gavin as Gavin makes a break for it around the ring.
(2!)
Gavin rolls back into the ring hurriedly as Konrad attempts to catch him. As he
slides into the ring and gets to his feet, Gavin Taylor has bounded off the far
ropes and connects with a running knee lift, dropping Konrad. He makes a cover
Ref: 1!
Konrad kicks out. Gavin applies a rear chinlock on his opponent. Konrad fights
to his feet and as he gets there, hoists Gavin up and drops up with a belly to
back suplex. Konrad helps his opponent to his and pushes him into the corner.
Konrad unloading with a furry of boxing style body blows now. Gavin covers up
as best as he can. The ref counts Konrad down, who immediately stops and goes
back to work, bringing Gavin out into the center of the ring. A European
uppercut now sends Gavin to the mat. He tries to get up but as he does, Konrad
with the waist lock and transitions to a bridging German Suplex.

Tw-
Gavin rolls out. He crawls away towards the referee. The referee tries to move
away but Gavin places himself strategically behind him. Konrad, furious, comes
over to reach over the ref, and as he does Gavin places his thumb to the eye of
Konrad Raab. The ref didn’t see it. Konrad to a knee now, holding his eye.
Gavin gets to his feet and bounds off the ropes, nailing Konrad with the
All-Starmaker!
1!
2!
Raab kicks out just after 2. Gavin holds up 3 fingers to the ref to signify he
had the match won. He shakes his head and picks Konrad up and applies a sleeper
hold. Konrad looks to be fading now. He goes down to a knee. The ref picks up
Konrad’s hand but it doesn’t drop. Konrad fighting back to his feet now. He
thrusts himself backward and drives Gavin into the corner, breaking the hold.
Taylor tries to throw another uppercut but Konrad catches his arm and rolls
through with an arm drag, keeping a hold of the arm. He applies an arm bar now!
Gavin flails his legs out, getting a leg to the bottom rope almost as soon as
the hold is applied. The ref counts Konrad down and he complies.
Sharper: “Konrad Raab fighting like a man possessed tonight.”
Konrad brings Taylor to his feet and connects with a vertical suplex. He rolls
over into a cover.
1!
2!
Kickout by Taylor. Konrad
lifts Taylor up to his feet and sends him for the ride. Taylor comes back in
with a clothesline attempt, ducked by Raab. Taylor comes back off the far side
of the ropes but is met by a Thesz press from Konrad, who fires away with blows
now! Taylor is reeling as the ref counts Konrad down. Konrad back to work
immediately as Taylor crawls for the ropes. Konrad goes to grab for the ankle
lock but Taylor turns around and kicks the German off. He rises to his feet and
runs at Konrad, hitting him with a flying forearm! Now Taylor with the cover!
1!
2!
Kickout by Konrad. Konrad is
stunned now. Taylor on the offensive with a knife edge chop as he brings his opponent
to his feet. He grabs Konrad and tucks his head under his arm, hitting the
swinging neckbreaker.. Gavin brings Konrad to his feet and puts him in a front
headlock, attempting to lock the arm into a hammerlock. Konrad pushes Gavin
into the corner hard. Konrad in control now. He hooks Gavin for a belly to
belly suplex and connects! Cover by Konrad.
1!
2!
Gavin Taylor kicks out!
Sharper: “Gavin Taylor went for the All-Star stretch and now Konrad is back in
control.”
Knots: “Come on Gavin! Show him who the All Star is!”
He goes back to work on Gavin, pulling him towards the center of the ring by
his arm attempting to bring Taylor to his feet. Once again, Gavin flails
and grabs a hold of the referee with his free hand. Konrad is furious at this
point and comes in to grab Taylor, but Taylor slides and pulls Konrad towards
the ref. Konrad catches himself before he can connect with the ref, but Taylor
has dropped to the mat and hits Konrad with a low blow! Konrad is doubled over
now. Gavin Taylor takes advantage, standing up, he puts Konrad in position for
the Highlight of the Night, hoisting him up and dropping him with the high
angle neckbreaker. The crowd oh’s as he makes the cover.

2!
3!
Sharper: “Damnit. Gavin Taylor steals one here through cowardice.”
Knots: “What an athlete! Gavin Taylor coming through in the clutch!”
COMMERCIALS
Jake
Starr is walking backstage with a notepad. The crowd cheers seeing him. He
takes a few steps before Cookie Dreams runs over to him, getting a roar from
the crowd.
Cookie:
“Jake! Jake!”
Starr:
“Look! I told you I’d get the money next week-“
Cookie:
“No silly! I want in your pool1”
Starr:
“Well, uh…it’s not-Oh! This! Yeah, sure! Who you got?”
Cookie
looks around.
Cookie:
“Duh! Me! I’m going to win it all!”
Starr:
“But to eliminate Sienna?”
Cookie:
“Didn’t you hear me. Hello! Me! Especially after what Cookie did to my
Kablamottapus! I’ll make them regret it.”
Starr
clicks a pen in the notebook and writes it down.
Starr:
“Got a number?”
Cookie:
“One!”
Starr:
“No, to eliminate Sienna.”
Cookie:
“Hmmm….11!”
Starr:
“Why that one?”
Cookie:
“Because it’s as close as two numbers can get without more people in the
rumble!”
Cookie
winks as the crowd roars.
Starr:
“Alright.”
Cookie:
“Thanks!”
Cookie
walks off as Starr looks on before suddenly, we see another figure, this being
Red Velvet Jones.
Starr:
“Uh..”
Jones:
“Red Velvet Jones. I’m the Official KABLAMbassador! And I think we can make a
deal. All of the losers can get a lovely parting gift courtesy of KABLAM Labs!”
Jones
hands Starr a card.
Starr:
“Uh thanks…”
Jones:
“Anytime.”
Jones
then puts on sunglasses and walks off. Starr looks around.
Starr:
“The hell did he come from?”
Alexis
vs. Alex Drake
Phillips: “The following match
is scheduled for one fall…”
“Leader of the Heart Broken” by Papa Roach starts to play in the arena. After a
shortened intro, spotlights circle around the arena. Alex Drake walks out from
the back and looks around and extends his arms. He spins around before starting
to walk to the ring. He raises his arms in the air as he walks down the ramp.
Phillips: “Introducing first! From New Brunswick, Canada, weighing 220 points…
ALEX DRAKE!”
Sharper: “Alex Drake in action tonight. He’s a veteran of the game. 10 years
older than his opponent tonight who is making her debut.”
Knots: “You know I always love the classic matches between our established
players, but I always love these matches that introduce us to new talents.
Especially when they look like Alexis we’re about to see.”
Alex Drake struts a bit to the ring and walks around the ring before hopping
onto the apron. He looks at the crowd, showing himself off for a brief
movement. He steps through the ropes and spins around before stopping and
posing in the middle of the ring. He takes off his entrance attire as he gets
ready for the challenge in front of him.
The lights go out and “Queen” by Loren Gray begins to play.
Cross my heart and hope to die
I don't need another guy To fight my battles
To overshadow me.
Don't you know I'm dangerous?
Fire burning in my blood
I got this handled. I don't need rescuing
You can call me a princess all you like
'Cause you like to keep me helpless by your side
But it ain't what I want, I'ma show you, I'ma show you
How to treat me like a Queen
A podium rises up from the floor, spinning slowly around to face the camera,
which slowly rises from the feet up showing off a Victoria Secret Ivory Fashion
Robe with Gold sequence. As it reaches her face, Alexis gives a disappointing
eye roll. She steps off the podium as it lowers and makes her way down the
ramp.
Phillips: “And his opponent! From Paphos, Cyprus, weighing 135 pounds…
ALEXIS!!!”
Sharper: “We’re about to get our first look at Alexis tonight. Just days from
Taking Hold of the Flame when we will start down the road to Rise to Greatness.”
Knots: “This poor guy Alex Drake, this woman is putting on a performance!”
Alexis walks down the entryway as her assistant Harry Harris walks alongside
her. A young fan reaches for her hand and she withdraws it quickly and shoots
him a disgusted look. The child begins to cry and she laughs until she reaches
the ring steps. She walks up on the apron and orders her assistant to hold the
ropes. She bends down and moves between them and her assistant hurries in
behind her to take the robe off. She struts back and forth as her assistant
leaves the ring.
Sharper: “So I supposed we’re about to find out exactly what this Alexis is all
about.”
Knots: “You’ve already seen it. She’s beautiful, she dresses like an angel...
what else do you want?”
The official calls both fighters to the middle and then sends them to their
corners before calling for the bell.
Sharper: “And here we go. I have to say Alexis looks particularly confident.”
Knots: “You would too if you looked like that.”
Alex looks to lock up and Alexis engages and drives him into a corner. The ref
steps in to break it up. Alex puts his hands up and Alexis sends a stinging
slap right across his face that sounds throughout the arena. The official gets
after Alexis as Alex rubs his face. Alexis turns her back like she is walking
away, but then spins around and lands another slap on the same cheek. Then she
starts laying kicks into the shins of Alex Drake, who falls to the ground and
rolls to the apron.
Sharper: “A little psychological work in the early going here and Alexis is in
complete control.”
Knots: “I had a feeling she might be this kind of fighter!”
Sharper: “Oh? What gave you that idea? When she made a child cry?”
Alexis steps back and lets Alex back in. She grabs hold of him as soon as he is
and whips him toward the ropes, but Alex reverses and tosses Alexis. She
rebounds off the cables and hits a calf kick on the way back. Alex pulls
himself up in the nearby corner just in time for Alexis to smash him with a
clothesline and then grapple him in a headlock for a running bulldog out of it.
Alex rolls over to his back and Alexis puts one foot on him for a pin.
1… NO!
Sharper: “Pin attempt from Alexis, but Drake gets the shoulder up. Alexis
hasn’t let him get much of anything going at this point.”
Knots: “She’s downright mean with these strikes she’s landed so far.”
Alexis kicks Alex in the side and drops down to lock him in a headlock on the
ground. Alex struggles to get free from it, but right as he seems to gain
momentum, Alexis grabs him by the hair and slams him face first into the mat.
Alexis reaches down to pull Alex up by the hair and he lands a shot to the gut.
She doubles over to a knee and when she stands back up Alex starts unloading a
combo of punches and knees until he backs her into the corner. Alex starts
laying in the shots in the corner and the ref steps in.
1!
2!
3!
4!
Alex stops and walks to the opposite corner.
Sharper: “Alex Drake using every bit of that five count as the ref checks on
Alexis in the corner.”
Knots: “That poor girl! I can’t believe he did that to her.”
Alex sprints from the corner for a clothesline, but Alexis pulls the referee in
front and drops to the mat. Alex slams the official into the corner and he
drops to the mat. Alex puts his hands on his head in concern. Alexis slides in
from behind and takes him out with a soccer slide tackle. The Beautiful
Nightmare knocks him off his feet and Alex grabs at his knee in pain and
struggles to get back up. As soon as he does, Alexis hits him with a stiff kick
to the back that makes him arch up in pain and then nails him with a superkick
that levels him.
Sharper: “Vicious kick! She calls that Blinded by the Lights. But the referee
is still out. Maybe a big mistake by Alexis?”
Knots: “Are you kidding me? Alex is the one that hit her in the first place!”
Alexis sees the official still down and grins. She pulls Alex closer to the
ropes and drapes him over the bottom rope and then leans her knee on the back
of his neck, choking him against the rope. The crowd boos loudly and Alexis
just rolls her eyes and brushes it off. As the referee starts to stir, Alexis
mocks her action by pretending to yawn. As soon as the official stands, she
stops and puts her hands in the air. The referee checks on Alex as he holds his
throat on the ground.
Sharper: “The official might have to call an end to this match. Alex has
suffered extensive damage after that choke.”
Knots: “He might not have a chance. Here comes Alexis!”
Alexis reaches past the official and grabs Alex by the hair to drag him back to
his feet. She mocks him as she gets him back to a vertical base. Alex breaks
the grapple and shoves Alexis away with two hands to her face. Alexis places a
hand on her head and screams.
Alexis: “DON’T TOUCH MY HAIR!”
Alexis charges at Alex and hits him with a knee strike to the midsection and
then grabs him and whips him to the other side of the ring. Alex rebounds off
and comes back to Alexis who hits a hip toss into a cartwheel knee strike
before leaning one arm against him for a pin.
1!!!
2!!!
NO!
Sharper: “Alex gets a shoulder up. He’s not ready to quit!”
Knots: “I’m not sure that will bother Alexis too much! She’s just toying with
him.”
Alexis slaps Alex on the ground and then again grabs Alex by the hair to pull
him to his feet and shoos the referee away when he protests. She puts Alex’s
arm over her shoulder to suplex him and grins as the audience boos her. She
goes to lift him, but she doesn’t get him up. She tries a second time and he
blocks it again before pushing her away. Alex sprints to the opposite tope and
springboards back toward Alexis and eats a Harlem sidekick to the face! The
Bitch Please lands flush and Alex crumples to the mat in a heap. Alexis drops
down and hooks a leg.
1!!!
2!!!
3!!!
The official calls for the bell and Alexis stands up and dusts herself off and
puts her hands up, not letting the official touch her.
Phillip: “Here’s your winner by pinfall! ALEXIS!!!”
Sharper: “Well, we weren’t sure what to expect but we now know Alexis can be
dangerous!”
Knots: “And vicious! She nearly killed this poor man!”
Alexis waits for her assistant to come up to the apron and lower the rope so
she can exit the ring. She ducks under the middle rope and walks down the steps
before making him put on her robe as the crowd boos her actions in the match.
Sharper: “An impressive
victory of Alexis in her debut. Let’s now go backstage where Jessica Winters
stands by with our Adrenaline Champion.”
Backstage, Jessica Winters
smiles as the camera comes to her. Peyton Rice stands next to her, holding her
Adrenaline Championship. Kelcey Wallace is standing next to her.
Jessica:
“Thank you Adam. I’m here with Peyton Rice and Peyton, the woman standing next
to you, someone who is acting as a mentor but also your manager, said she plans
to watch the Taking Hold of the Flame battle royal and said you to be her
favourite. A bold claim and a big hype to meet. Your thoughts?”
Peyton
turns to Kelcey and then back to Jessica.
Peyton:
“A big shadow to come out of, but one I know is done to motivate you.”
Kelcey:
“Not just that. I firmly believe it.”
Peyton:
“And that motivates me more. This Sunday, I enter a match with thirty-nine
others. And while I’ve come out here and said how I’m unhappy with some things
that I had to get used to in the transition to SCW, even the issues I had
earlier this year. Hard work made everything turn around and now I stand here
the Adrenaline Champion. And I know a challenger will be coming soon for that.
But to walk into that match and come out the other side, not just a winner, but
with a World Title shot.”
Peyton
pauses.
Peyton:
“Facing either Aaron Blackbourne or Bree Lancaster, that would be a huge
feather in my cap and an accomplishment. “
Peyton
pauses.
Peyton:
“It is a big claim Jessica, but it’s what we all hope to do. Rise to the
occasion. It’s called Rise to Greatness. That’s the end goal, to win this
Sunday to challenge for the title end. To Take Hold of the Flame…and well, I’m
going to do my best to do just that. To ride this wave of momentum. To give the
fans someone they can be proud of seeing walk out and if not…you don’t need to
worry. I’m not going to take a short cut. I’m not going to puff out my chest
and screw someone over. I’m going to make people proud. Shocking a concept that
is…imagine what we could do if more thought that way.”
Jessica:
“Thank you for your time, Peyton, Kelcey…Breakdown returns after this.”
Peyton
nods and turns to Kelcey. She and Kelcey walk off as the scene fades to black.
COMMERCIALS
Backstage,
Jordan Majors is getting ready in her locker room. The crowd cheers seeing her.
Sharper:
“There you see Jordan Majors, who is short time has made herself a target for
Sienna Swann.”
Knots:
“Yeah and this Sunday, that could all spill over into a war in that ring.”
Sharper:
“But tonight, she faces David Helms in singles action. That should be a
classic!”
There’s
a knock at the door. Jordan stops as she walks over to the door. She opens it,
revealing it to be Jake Starr. Jordan looks at him as the crowd cheers. Jake nods.
Jake:
“Sis…”
Jordan:
“Bro….”
Jake:
“We’ve not had too much time together.”
Jordan:
“Needed the time to see where I Stood. Especially since some people think I did
this all because of you.”
Jake:
“Let them. You know the real reason.”
Jordan:
“Why are you here?”
Jake:
“Wanted to just wish you luck. You’re facing David. I was definitely going to
watch. And I’m looking forward to it. Just be careful. He may be old as dirt,
but he can go.”
Jordan:
“Like you?”
Jake
chuckles a bit.
Jake:
“Touche.”
Jordan:
“Don’t worry. I’m looking forward to it.”
Jake:
“Good…also, would you mind joining the pool?”
Jordan
laughs a bit.
Jordan:
“I figured that was your actual reason!”
Jake:
“What? I can have more than one! Plus…Screw Sienna Swann!”
Jordan:
“I can agree with that. Put me down for something random.”
Jake:
“Alright…I’ll just go with my second choice.”
Jordan:
“Second choice?”
Jake:
“I picked you to kick her ass out of that ring. I hope to God I can see it
too!”
Jake
nods.
Jake:
“I’ll let you get ready.”
Jordan
nods. Jake walks off as Jordan sighs and closes the door as the scene cuts
away.
The
Wonderland vs. Kelsai Adamson-Mason & Jay Gold
Kelsai Adamson-Mason walks out
from the back. She walks to the ring quickly and confidently while "Let
Love In" plays in the background and she has the hugest smile on her face
while her manager Amy Chastaine walks by her side, smiling brightly.
Phillips: “The following
contest is scheduled for onefall and has a fifteen minute time limit. First, on
her way to the ring, accompanied by Amy Chastaine, from Seattle, Washington,
she is Kelsai Adamson-Mason!”
Getting to the ring, Kelsai
jumps from the floor to the ring apron before she steps through the ropes,
reveals her simple all white attire, and goes to her corner, smiling and waving
enthusiastically, before she gets ready for her match, with Amy keeping watch
from the corner outside.
Sharper: “This will be a match
that well, I don’t even know what to expect.”
Knots: “Kelsai teaming with
Jay Gold. And they’re going to face the Wonderland, but Cain Adams and Alice
Ames are suspended!”
Sharper: “They went a step too
far last week, attacking Owen Cruze and Blake Mason in the Tag Title match.
Sasha made clear, if anyone interferes, they will be suspended.”
The lights suddenly turn off in the arena. Immediately the big
screen goes completely bright white, almost blinding. Then the white
light simmers down. The voice of Jay Gold can be heard saying "The
old is about to become the new." Those words also display on the screen.
A few moments pass before the white background with the words turns
to a solid gold background. "Until The Day I Die" by Story of the
Year begins to play. As the song gets to the chorus, one gold pyro goes
off on each side of the stage. At this moment Jay Gold appears on the
stage and surveys the crowd, genuinely smiling and nodding.
Phillips: “Her partner, from
Albany, New York, he is an SCW Hall of Famer, Jay Gold!”
As he hears the crowd's
positive response he begins to head to the ring. Once he arrives he walks
up the steel steps and steps into the ring. He again nods at his
surroundings and gives the crowd the thumbs up. They cheer him and keep
going until it is clear that Jay is ready to take on this latest wrestling
match in his career. His music settles as this happens.
Sharper:
“The future and the past coming together. Jay Gold set on trying to be a locus
for change, for positive change.”
Knots:
“Yeah. Has an issue with people like the Syrens, the Siennas, the Gios.”
Sharper:
“But what awaits him tonight.”
Gold
and Adamson-Mason stand in the ring. Chastaine looks on as We’re All Mad Here by Marquis
of Vaudeville begins to play as the arena goes dark except for a spotlight. In
the spotlight we see a female, but then we see another man step out, clearly
not Cain Adams. They look at one another and run down to the ring. The lights
turn on as the crowd roars. The two figures enter the ring, the music just
abruptly stops. Amy looks on as the woman goes after Kelsai and the man goes
after Gold. Both are wear black trackpants. One has an Owen Cruze t-shirt on.
The other has a Peyton Rice t-shirt on.
Knots: “Who are these two?”
Sharper: “I have no clue, but
they’re competing. No bell has rung.”
Knots; “Look at their
t-shirts!”
The man and Gold trade blows
as the woman grabs Kelsai and tries to pull her into the ropes, but Kelsai
spins through and sends her into the ropes. She then chops her. Gold meanwhile
blocks a hard right and then grabs him and runs him into the corner. Gold turns
back.
Gold: “Kelsai! They’re not
trained!”
Amy’s eyes widen.
Sharper: “Did I hear that
right?”
Knots: “I think so. Kelsai’s
still relatively new. They’re not trained. This is just dangerous for
everyone!”
Gold ducks a clothesline as
the man comes out and Gold turns and kicks him in the ribs and hits a DDT. The
man rolls over, holding his head. Gold then steps over and locks in the Golden
Recliner. Kelsai then scoops the woman up and down. She grimaces in pain as
Kelsai turns and jumps to the middle turnbuckle and then the top turnbuckle and
hits the Double Shot. The crowd ohs. Kelsai rolls off as the women rolls out of
the ring. Amy rolls into the ring as Gold holds onto the hold long enough for
the man to start tapping out. He does and Gold lets go and then turns and
nudges him out of the ring, to the apron. Gold looks around as Amy checks on
Kelsai. Kelsai nods. Gold looks around.
Sharper: “Gold and
Adamson-Mason making quick work of these two…”
Knots: “Were they fans?
Replacements?”
Gold turns and walks over to
the timekeeper. As this happens, we cut backstage to see Giovanni Aries
standing with Cain Adams and Alice Ames. Security is stopping them. Dean Black
is with the group as Sasha stands a few feet behind them.
Sasha: “They’re suspended, Mr.
Aries. They are not entering.”
Aries: “If my followers are
not welcome, then I am not welcome, Lizard Princess!”
Sasha: “Seriously, you’re
still on it!”
Aries: “The fact that you’ve
noticed nothing has changed…oh that’s bad for you!”
Sasha: “Get him out of here
then.”
Just as Sasha says this, we
see a crew member heading over to Sasha.
Crew member: “Two people just
ran to the ring to face Jay and Kelsai.”
Sasha: “What?”
Black turns. We cut to the
ring to see Jay Gold starting to head to the back. Kelsai turns to Amy before
turning and rolling to the floor. She heads after them. Amy is a few strides
behind. We cut backstage again as the roar of the crowd is heard. Giovanni just
laughs as Adams and Ames walk back.
Aries: “It’s just the
beginning! While you all fight for your accolades and your titles, Sasha has
made us more dangerous than ever!”
Aries laughs as we then see
Owen Cruze coming into view. A few officials turn and keep him back. Kelcey
Wallace is a few steps behind.
Cruze: “You have a problem
with me. After years of desperately wanting me on your side!”
Giovanni Aries just laughs.
Kelcey walks over and gets Cruze’s attention, grabbing his arm.
Kelcey: “Focus on later. Focus
there. Not him.”
Aries: “Yes…focus on more
gold. Surpassing your family! BE A SLAVE TO IT ALL!”
Aries laughs more as we then
see Gold heading ver.
Sasha: “Just get them out.”
Cruze watches as Gold comes
over and Sasha turns to the crew member as now Kelsai and Amy show up.
Sasha: “You both okay? What
the hell happened?”
Gold: “You tell me. How did
two untrained people get out there.”
Sasha: “I’d love to know.”
Sasha turns to Dean Black.
Sasha: “Dean?”
Dean: “I’ll take a look.”
Sasha glances back at Giovanni
and then to Kelsai and Jay.
Sasha: “All I can do right now
is offer an apology and we’ll find out what happened.”
Kelsai: “It’s alright, Miss
Sasha. Someone tried-“
Gold: “This all needs to end.
Thank God there’s some of us here.”
Sasha: “Point taken, Jay.”
Sasha heads off as Kelsai
turns to Jay as Amy looks at him. Owen and Kelcey head off.
Kelsai: “Really? You hold her
responsible?”
Gold: “She’s responsible for
everything under this roof. That’s her job.”
Amy: “We got through it.
Everyone seems alright.”
Amy sighs as we cut back to
the ringside area. Adam Sharper and Jonathan Knots appear at ringside.
Sharper: “An odd, but also
harrowing situation.”
Knots: “Well, Giovanni Aries
sending a message. Clearly showing loyalty to his drones.”
Sharper: “But those two
individuals who came out. IF they were not indeed trained, and I fully
understand why Jay is so upset. It’s very dangerous. It’s unpredictable, sure
for the trained wrestler, but for the untrained individual, they don’t know how
to absorb impact or even compete and thus can just get hurt.”
Knots: “We may be seeing that
now. The man is down in the ring, the woman is the hell out of here. She peaced
out.”
We cut to see a couple of
officials and the trainer, checking on the man, who is grimacing in pain. EMTs
have come out with a stretcher and a backbrace. The crowd looks on.
Sharper: “Gold had him in the
Golden Recliner. People ask why some people can hang on in some of the holds we
see. Part of it is conditioning.”
Knots: “This guy looks like he
would be behind the counter at a McDonalds. Not in the ring.”
Sharper: “And if this is
linked to Giovanni…just…I don’t know what to say. Right now, I just hope this
man is alright.”
EMTs move the backboard into
the ring. The man can be seen squeezing his hand.
Sharper: “You know. We’ll take
a commercial break and we’ll try to move on after this.”
The scene cuts to black.
COMMERCIALS
Backstage,
we see the man being wheeled out on a stretcher as Sasha watches this. Jay Gold
walks over.
Gold:
“This is why…”
Gold
turns away.
Gold:
“He’s not trained! He wasn’t trained!”
Sasha
watches as Gold turns, frustrated. Amy Chastaine walks over.
Amy:
“Jay…it’s not your fault. I watched. You broke the hold immediately.”
Gold:
“I know!”
Gold
sighs as Sasha turns and shakes her head, walking away. The man is placed in
the ambulance, the doors closing behind. The ambulance then drives forward, heading
out of the building. It continues to drive before it abruptly stops at the end
of the driveway and we turn back to Gold, heading off, clearly upset.
Sharper:
“A unique moment here tonight. As we were saying before, two seemingly
untrained competitors entered the ring, replacing the Wonderland.”
Knots:
“I think they were for them. Wearing Owen and Peyton merch. Conveniently, Gio’s
not around.”
Sharper:
“Regardless, there are dangerous associated and clearly, one has been taken to
the hospital to be checked on. This is why anyone thinking about professional
wrestling needs to get properly trained. This is a physical sport. People can
get hurt. Proper training limits risks.”
Knots:
“And not like there aren’t a wealth of great schools. Ante Up, BlackOut, Youth
of a Nation, we can keep going.”
The lights dim as a voice
backed by piano music fill the arena.
{That's the price you pay.... Leave behind your heartache, cast away
Just another product of today.... Rather be the hunter than the prey
And you're standing on the edge, face up... 'cause you're a NATURAL}
As the heavy music of Imagine Dragons kicks in the lights come back up and Bree
Lancaster is standing on the stage, her arms spread wide, the SCW World and United
States Championship belts around her waist. Bree looks up as white sparks
shower down behind her from the top of the set to the stage. Scott Burnside
appears behind her. The crowd boos heavily.
Sharper: “And from that
situation to the World and US Champion!”
Knots: “One tragedy to
another!”
Lancaster walks down the
rampway with Burnside with her. The two reach the ring and Burnside runs up the
steel steps and holds the ropes open as Bree Lancaster walks up them. She walks
along the apron and into the ring. She steps forward and poses in the ring as
the crowd boos some more. She stops and looks around, glaring at the crowd.
Burnside walks across the ring, getting a microphone. He then walks over and
hands it to Lancaster. Lancaster takes it and looks around the ring. She then
looks down at her waist.
Bree: “I always thought this
place had some respect for champions, but looks like I was wrong.”
The crowd boos some more.
Bree: “Well regardless, as SCW
precipitates another tragedy, it’s up to us in the Beauty Factory to right
things as we have been all year long!”
The crowd boos some more.
Bree: “So everyone can relax
in the back as the world refocuses on the World AND United States Champion…the
same person who will be walking out holding both titles this Sunday. And I know
what so many of you are thinking. But Bree, Aaron Blackbourne is in better
shape. He’s not dealing with a personal issue. He’s not been attacked in a
hotel room. He’s battle-tested. A year stronger…yeah, yeah, yeah. And I’ll
respond with…I’m the US and World Champion. And I don’t look like I’m about to
slow down am I?”
Bree shakes her head.
Bree: “See, there’s been a lot
of talk about competition. But the problem is that we don’t need more of that.
We need more role models. Someone like me. Someone who is Ambitchous. Knows how
good they are and takes it and KEEPS it. And Aaron, you’re good. Don’t get me
wrong. I know first hand! I’ll even say it – that back superplex. There was a
moment, as we were going down, that I thought this may be it. But the problem
was that I have the fight of a champion. And I pulled through, whereas you,
well, sorry, but you did not. That’s not something you gain in a year. That’s
not something that will go away when you don’t have personal problems. You’re a
talented and creative mind.”
Bree shrugs.
Bree: “And in another era, you
may have gotten to the top. For example, I think you could’ve taken CHBK! Just
like you proved against Syren.”
Sharper: “And taking a shot at
Infamous. Syren claiming Bree’s just holding that title.”
Knots: “Yeah, well Syren needs
to win the battle royal to get in contention. Bree needs to retain. Focus on
Aaron!”
The crowd gives a mixed
reaction as Bree looks around.
Bree: “But against me, I’m
just a step ahead.”
Bree pauses a moment.
Bree: “But frankly, I think
you need to know one more thing, Aaron. This Sunday, you may still not be at
one hundred percent. This weekend may just be another wasted opportunity. Shilo
Valiant may be dealing with Datura and she’ll be his problem there. I’m not talking
about that. I’m talking about later tonight. Mere moments. When you get in the
ring with Matt Hodges. He and I left it all in this ring. I still walked out
Champion. You…what are you going to say if he get your arm, just like he did
mine.”
Bree smirks.
Bree: “Don’t worry. That’s why
I’m here. Helping the little guy. There’s your excuse when I beat you this
Sunday!”
The crowd boos some more.
Bree: “Now, if you excuse me,
I don’t need to watch this from ringside. Matt…Aaron…I look forward to enjoying
this.”
Bree turns as “Natural” plays
again. The crowd boos. Bree then hands Scott the microphone who turns and hands
it off to Jason Phillips. Burnside heads across and opens the ropes for Bree.
Sharper: “Good to see Bree is
staying humble, huh?”
Knots: “Yeah. Totally humble.
She’s acting like she’s got it. And I get it. She got through Fatal Fortunes.
She beat James Evans. But Aaron Blackbourne, you can only get close for so
long.”
Sharper: “And funny enough,
you know who else was someone people wondered about getting through the ceiling
until it happened…Bree Lancaster.”
Bree steps through the ropes
and walks down the steel steps. She continues to admired the belts around her
waist as Scott Burnside walks down to the floor. Lancaster walks to the back,
Burnside following behind as we cut away.
“The
Old Me” by Memphis May Fire plays as the Breakdown logo comes up on the screen.
A shot of Aaron Blackbourne comes up before showing Matt Hodges and then both.
Sharper:
“The match Bree just mentioned. The number one contender to the SCW World
Championship, Aaron Blackbourne will face Matt Hodges next, here on Breakdown!”
The
scene fades to black.
COMMERCIALS
Aaron
Blackbourne vs. Matt Hodges
All of a sudden, the lights go
out, prompting a surprised pop from the fans. The tune of “My Name” by From
Ashes To New begins, the lyrics starting about eight seconds into the song.
White lights slowly begin to envelop the stage as we see that smoke has also
begun to engulf it. The Tron also comes to life with clips of Aaron Blackbourne
in action, both as himself and as his various demon incarnations, as well as
clips of his various artistic endeavors including writing, painting, drawing
and digital art. During this, we see a figure standing in the smoke, but that
and the lighting make it impossible to tell who the silhouette belongs to. When
the song hits the chorus, pyro suddenly goes off on the sides of the stage in
sync with the silhouette throwing his arms in the familiar raised and
outstretched pose, the smoke clearing almost as if on command to reveal the
creative soul himself, causing the fans erupt into cheers. The lights start to
come back on, although they're both dimmed and rotating between every color in
the spectrum to the beat of the song, as Blackbourne begins making his way down
to the ring, happily accepting high fives from the fans with a smile.
Phillips: “The following
contest is scheduled for onefall and has a thirty minute time limit. First, on
his way to the ring, from Seattle, Washington, he is Aaron Blackbourne!”
As he reaches ringside he
suddenly leaps onto the apron and quickly climbs so that he’s got one foot on
the top turnbuckle, and in tune with the chorus kicking in a second time he
briefly crosses his arms across his chest before throwing them out in the same
raised and outstretched pose as before, the lights going out again as white
spotlights suddenly come on and converge upon him as he closes his eyes and
basks in this moment, also letting the lyrics of the song serve as a reminder
of exactly who he is and why he does this. When the chorus ends, Blackbourne
leaps from the top into the ring as the lights completely return to normal,
removing his black jacket and setting it into his corner before he begins doing
some light warm-ups for the match ahead.
Sharper:
“Blackbourne is hoping that this Sunday is hjis opportunity to break through
the glass ceiling. Bree Lancaster saying that’s been his biggest issue. But
that he should be content.”
Knots:
“I don’t think he is.”
Sharper:
“But tonight, a big challenge for the number one contender. He faces Matt
Hodges who showed he still has plenty in the tank, taking Lancaster to the
limit two weeks ago in Fatal Fortunes.”
I Want It All!
I Want It All!
I Want It All!
And I Want It Now!
The opening guitar riff of Queen’s “I Want It All” and Matt Hodges makes his
way out from behind the curtain to momentous boos from the crowd.
Phillips: “And his opponent,
from Miami, Florida, he is World Class, Matt Hodges!”
He pays no heed as he walks
down to the ring, smirking. The fans sing “Matt Hodges sucks!” in unison with
the chorus of the song. Hodges slow moves up the steps, wipes his foot on the
apron, and gets into the ring. He walks into the opposite corner and pulls on
the top rope. “I Want It All” dies out as the fans continue to chant “Matt
Hodges sucks!”
Sharper:
“Fans here in Baltimore enjoying Hodges’ entrance music.”
Knots:
“Those aren’t the words!”
Sharper:
“I think that’s the point.”
The
bell sounds and Hodges looks at Blackbourne and nods. The two circle the ring
as the crowd buzzes. They then lunge and lock up in the middle of the ring.
Blackbourne and Hodges push back on one another and Hodges turns into an arm
wrench. He holds on. Blackbourne reaches up and Hodges jerks on the arm again.
Blackbourne winces. Hodges then wrenches the arm again and Blackbourne rolls
through, nips up and cartwheels through before hitting a dropkick to the face.
Hodges hits the mat and holds his face. He gets up and Blackbourne grabs him in
a side headlock.
Sharper:
“Blackbourne gets the advantage. First time these two meeting.”
Knots:
“Going to be case for a lot of people for Hodges. Granted, we saw one person he
knows. Jay Gold, last week, they had a fun hello.”
Blackbourne
pulls back on Hodges as Hodges pulls him to the ropes. He fires him off.
Blackbourne bounces off and Blackbourne shoulders him down. He runs into the
ropes. He bounces off and Hodges gets up and Blackbourne shoulders him down
again. Blackbourne runs into the ropes and Hodges moves towards him, takes down
Blackbourne’s legs. Blackbourne hits the mat and Hodges gets up and hits an
elbow drop to the back of his head before locking in a side headlock. Hodges
pulls back. Blackbourne kicks at the mat. He then starts to get up. Hodges
holds on and just as Blackbourne gets to his feet, Hodges nails him with a hard
right. Blackbourne falls to the knee and Hodges runs into the ropes. He bounces
off and spins around Blackbourne. He then pushes him into the ropes. He rolls
him back with an Okana roll.
1!
2!
Blackbourne
kicks out. He rolls over and Hodges kicks him in the ribs. He then wrenches the
arm again and goes to whip him into the corner. Blackbourne hits the corner.
Hodges runs after and Blackbourne gets an elbow up. Hodges staggers back and
Blackbourne walks over and grabs Hodges as he’s turned and pulls him back onto
his knee with a backbreaker. Hodges rolls over.
Sharper:
“Blackbourne using Hodges’ imbalance to drive him into his knee.”
Knots:
“And Hodges may be looking to keep this on the mat. Blackbourne doesn’t. He
wants the opportunity to create!”
Hodges
starts to get up and Blackbourne kicks him in the ribs, hooks him up and hits a
vertical suplex. He turns and gets up and hits a knee drop. He rolls through
and then gets up and hits a moonsault knee drop to the face of Hodges. Hodges
holds his face and Blackbourne goes for the pin.
1!
2!
Hodges
kicks out. He turns and Blackbourne grabs him. He grabs him up and hits a
forearm shiver. Hodges falls to the ropes. Blackbourne whips him into the
ropes. Hodges bounces off and Blackbourne hits a hip toss into his knee. Hodges
holds his back in pain. Blackbourne grabs him and pulls him up before hitting a
gutwrench into a backbreaker. He goes for the pin.
Sharper:
“Backbreakers are on special tonight! Blackbourne using a lot of them early
on.”
Knots:
“Trying to maybe remove Hodges’ strength!”
1!
2!
Hodges
gets his shoulder up. Blackbourne rolls off. Hodges rolls over and stirs as
Blackbourne grabs him. Hodges however pushes him back into the corner. He rears
back and shoulders him in the ribs again and then a second time. Blackbourne
grimaces and Hodges pulls him out and scoops him up and slams him down. Hodges
walks around, holding his lower back. Blackbourne starts to get up and Hodges
runs at him and clotheslines him down.
Sharper:
“Hard clothesline. Nothing fancy. But damn sure effective.”
Knots:
“Not much creativity needed there.”
Hodges
turns and grabs Blackbourne, dragging him up only to scoop him up with a Saito
suplex. He then rolls over for the pin, hooking the leg.
1!
2!
Blackbourne
pushes him off. Both start to get up and Hodges catches Blackbourne on the
rebound and powerslams him down. He hooks the leg again.
1!
2!
Blackbourne
kicks out again. Both men get up and Hodges hooks the arm of Blackbourne and
hits a fireman’s carry takedown. He then turns and grabs at the head, but
Blackbourne blocks it, spinning around and booting Matt Hodges in the face.
Hodges falls back. Both men get up and Matt goes for another clothesline.
Blackbourne ducks and runs to the ropes, jumping to the middle rope and
springboarding back and grabbing Hodges’ head and driving it into his knee.
Hodges falls back.
Sharper:
“Blackbourne off the ropes! Taking Hodges by the head and driving him into his
own knee!”
Knots:
“Caught him right on the jaw!”
Blackbourne
steps forward. Hodges rolls over, holding his jaw. He starts to get up and
Blackbourne walks over and jumps up and hits a dropkick, knocking Hodges into
the corner. Hodges drops down to a seated position. Blackbourne then gets up
and runs at Hodges and hits a running double knee to the face of Hodges. The
crowd ohs. Blackbourne falls back and Hodges crumples into a heap. Blackbourne
gets up and grabs Hodges by the legs and drags him out before going for the
pin.
1!
2!
Hodges
gets his shoulder up. Blackbourne rolls off and gets up. Hodges rolls over and
slowly starts to get up and Blackbourne heads over to Hodges who suddenly grabs
him and hits the exploder suplex into the corner. The crowd ohs.
Sharper:
“Blackbourne walked into it! Suplex into the corner!”
Knots:
“Just caught him and made sure to make him regret it all!”
Sharper:
“And one of those moves that if you’re challenging for the World Title this
Sunday, do you think and question whether you should give it all up!”
Knots:
“Yeah, like he’ll do it!”
Sharper:
“Oh I know he won’t. But it’s got to be a concern!”
Hodges
rolls over and gets up and grabs Blackbourne. He pulls him out and drags him
out before placing his head between his legs. He then hoists him up and hits a
sitout powerbomb.
1!
2!
Blackbourne
kicks out and rolls over. Hodges gets up and turns and grabs the arm and drags
him out from the corner and ropes before hitting an Oklahoma roll.

Blackbourne
kicks out again. Both get up and Hodges goes for a discus clothesline, but
Blackbourne hoists him up onto his shoulders and hits the Pull the Trigger.
Hodges falls to the mat. Blackbourne remains down as the crowd roars. (1)
Sharper:
“Blackbourne had an opening. Had a moment to Pull the Trigger and he did!”
Knots:
“Hodges just dropped! Like a stone! A World Class stone!”
Hodges
rolls over and grabs at the ropes. Blackbourne walks over and grabs him and
pulls him up. He grabs him in waistlock. Hodges blocks a suplex attempt.
Blackbourne clubs him in the back and then again before Blackbourne shoves him
into the ropes. Hodges bounces off and turns and Blackbourne lifts him up, but Hodges
spins through, landing behind him. Hodges hits a back suplex. Blackbourne rolls
over in pain. He holds his head and gets up and Hodges grabs him and goes for
an inside cradle.

Blackbourne
shifts his weight and covers Hodges!

3!
The
crowd roars. Blackbourne lets go as Hodges looks up stunned.
Sharper:
“Blackbourne pinned Hodges!”
Knots:
“Caught him and kept him down!”
Hodges
looks around as Blackbourne gets up. He raises his arm. He then steps back
turns to the ropes.
Phillips:
“Here is your winner, via pinfall, Aaron Blackbourne!”
Hodges
hears this and gets up and runs over and nails Blackbourne from behind. The
crowd boos. He nails him again and then stomps him in the side as Blackbourne drops
to the ropes.
Sharper:
“Come on! Hodges! Sore loser!”
Alistaire
Allocco runs out from the back as the crowd cheers. Hodges backs up and drops
down, rolling to the floor. Allocco slides in.
Hodges:
“Relax! Relax! I shouldn’t have. My bad!”
Hodges
backs up as Alistaire gets up and watches him. Blackbourne rolls over.
Alistaire turns back and helps Blackbourne. Hodges just looks at him before
turning away and starting to head to the back.
Sharper:
“Allocco closely watching this match. Good friends with Blackbourne.”
Knots:
“Hodges only got a few shots in. Blackbourne got a hard fought win.”
Blackbourne
gets up and looks at him as the scene cuts away.
Blake
Mason is getting ready in his locker room as Josh Hudson applauds slowly,
walking over to him. Jaxson turns to him. Blake just nods at Jaxson.
Josh:
“Well looks like the bandaid was ripped off.”
Blake:
“Sometimes its best to just dive in.”
Josh:
“Took you long enough. Now, things are a bit more interesting.”
Blake:
“Just painted a target on my back. That’s all. Gave Chris and Sienna something
new to look at-“
Josh:
“And you a chance to dive back to the top. Still always thought the contract
was stupid.”
Blake:
“Was a way to avoid distractions.”
Josh:
“And what has it helped? It’s been just hanging over your head. Look at Bree
running her mouth. Let her. Sienna too.”
Blake:
“She called you out too.”
Josh:
“Great. I find motivation from it.”
Blake:
“You and I are different.”
Josh:
“Are we? What if I win this Sunday? What if you weren’t in it. We’ve been
circling this date all year.”
Blake:
“And I could still be Tag Champs. So we’re both playing with that hope.”
Josh:
“Let’s keep playing then. Good luck tonight. Oh…and throw your name into Jake’s
little BS pool. Don’t need the steak dinner…or the other stuff….but it gets up
Sienna’s ass. Always good for a bit of fun.”
Josh
pats Blake on the shoulder before stepping back. Blake watches him leave. He
then takes a deep breath as the scene fades to black.

A hologram globe lights up in
the center of a war room. The virtual Earth spins quickly, shades of blue
differentiate continents from oceans. Generic rock music plays, smashing of
cymbals signal change of scenes. An explosion rocks the screen. From that explosion
is a small screen, featuring Pina Coladas hitting the Bar-Ca-Di Party on Konrad
Raab.
Jessica Winters: “Bar-Cad-Di Party!”
Adam Allocco: “The Pina Coladas are having a party out here!”
Adam Allocco does the voice over:
“Six teams were selected from hundreds of candidates from around the globe.”
Another explosion brings forth. Grace Morningwood is on her hands and knees.
Devin Brando lifts her up for the Midnight Murder Scene! Off the top rope,
comes Lyza Reyes with the Pura Vida!
Jessica Winters: “That was overkill!”
Adam Allocco: “What a match… what a fight! But at the end of the day, Brando
and Reyes proved themselves worthy!”
“After five nights, two teams have emerged as the top contenders. They
brought down SCW legends!”
The scene shows the Pina Coladas celebrating over the Dresser Boys. Brando and
Reyes are shown celebrating over Konrad Raab and Gable Winchester.
“Pina Coladas, the upstart team of this century clash with cult classics, Devin
Brando and Lyza Reyes.”
Two screens extend from the globe, now deconstructed. On one side, HUNG and
Delilah is shown and on the other screen, Devin Brando and Lyza Reyes. The
fractals of the globe shifts and morphs, breaking into a thousand pieces only
to be rebuilt as the 2020 World’s Best Trophy.
“On May 13st, the two finalists collide to compete to determine the 2020
World’s Best.”
Devin Brando and Lyza Reyes highlights are shown.
“Will Brando and Reyes avenge their first-round loss to the Pina Coladas?”
The Pina Coladas has their highlight reel then shown.
“Or will the kids pull off the heist and crown themselves as kings?”
Once more, we return to the graphic, Taking Hold of the Flame… Pina Coladas
squares off against Devin Brando and Lyza Reyes. One last time, the trophy cup
is shown, this time the cameras zooms in on the engravings, featuring figures
wrestling amidst floral patterns. Finally, a moment of silence as the
lettering, 2020 World’s Best is shown.
There’s a loud click as the
lights around the building flick off and darkness consumes the arena, with
nothing but a few flashes from cameras in the crowd lighting the arena. The
lights return slowly and dimly in a crimson hue as a boos spread throughout the
arena, then without warning we see black and white footage spring to life on
the screen of Winston Churchill giving one of his most famous speeches, all the
while the chilling sound of air raid sirens and war can be heard in the
background...
"We shall fight on the beaches. We shall fight on the landing grounds. We
shall fight in the fields, and in the streets. We shall fight in the hills. We
shall NEVER surrender!"
The video suddenly burns away to reveal a second hidden image of the devious
ex-president George H. W. Bush giving a speech of his own...
"When we are successful, and we will be, we'll have a real chance at this
new world order..."
“Indestructible” By Disturbed hits over the P.A system causing the crowd to
erupt into a sea of boos as they know who is about to make their presence felt.
The curtains part as Syren steps out from the back, a look of disdain on her
face. CHBK is next, followed by Ravyn Taylor who is with Alexander Crowe.
Christy Matthews and Christopher Richter take up the rear. The crowd boos
seeing them.
Sharper: “Infamous out here en
masse and Syren, last week, was incensed by Jessica Winters’ questions.”
Knots: “Well she was asking
about Derek Adonis who has been a thorn in both Infamous and Beauty Factory’s
sides!”
Sharper: “But it may have also
fired up Syren and something has to be said. If Syren is motivated, she’s as
good as anyone and she’s coasted for a long time, using the strategy and scheming
of Infamous to get by. And now, days before Taking Hold of the Flame, she’s
almost lost.”
The group heads down the rampway
and over to the ring. Syren enters first followed by Ravyn Taylor. CHBK is next
as Crowe walks around the ring, grabbing a microphone. He takes it and walks
back over to the ring, sliding in. Christy and Christopher Richter are in the
ring last. They spread out in the ring, making it an impressive sight of talent.
Crowe walks over to Syren and says something to her. Syren just nods, smiling
briefly, before refocusing and taking the microphone. She then looks out at the
crowd.
Syren: “I want everyone here
to take a good look at the group that stands before you.”
Syren walks around as the
crowd boos.
Syren: “I can’t believe I’m
saying this, but people are actually forgetting about us.”
Syren stops and shakes her
head.
Syren: “I’m now a talking head
to hype up a match between a jackass and a fat ass!”
Syren pauses again as the crowd
roars.
Syren: “Well, that’s SCW’s
funeral then.”
Syren looks right at the crowd
as they boo.
Syren: “Because this Sunday,
there’s a little event called Taking Hold of the Flame. An event we all know well.
Ravyn’s won it. CHBK won it! But this is the time of year, all of us RISE to
the occasion. Christy, Ravyn, CHBK and myself…we’ve all main evented Rise to Greatness.”
Syren pauses.
Syren: “And we’re being
forgotten about? Overlooked?”
Syren scoffs.
Syren: “Let me make this even
easier. Christy Matthews…”
Syren walks over to her.
Syren: “The second ever female
World Champion. A woman who is a fighting mother, a true legend, the GREATEST
Adrenaline Champion of all time. Someone who has been through more ups and
downs than anyone else in this business. And she’s come out stronger in the
end.”
Syren looks at her before
turning and walking over to Ravyn Taylor.
Syren: “My wife Ravyn…one half
of the greatest tag team in SCW History. The final Women’s Champion. The
longest reigning US Champion. And someone who damn sure deserved another crack
at the World Title. Oh yeah, and the winner of the 2015 Taking Hold of the
Flame! And of course, a hall of famer”
Syren smirks. She turns to CHBK.
Syren: “CHBK…a man synonymous
with this company. A five time World Champion. A hall of famer. A world class mentor.
And winner of the first Taking Hold of the Flame.”
Syren stops and turns to the
crowd.
Syren: “Between Ravyn and
CHBK, they are two people who can outthink anyone in this company. They have
thought of everything. They KNOW everything. And you’re overlooking them…”
Syren scoffs.
Syren: “And then there’s me.”
The crowd boos.
Syren: “I am part of the greatest
tag team in SCW history. I am the longest reigning Women’s Champion. I’ve won
the World Title more than anyone. SEVEN times! I am a Hall of Famer and I am
the greatest female wrestler in the world today!”
Syren stops and looks out and
walks over to the ropes, leaning on the top rope.
Syren: “And you’re going to
overlook us.”
Syren nods.
Syren: “Then be prepared for
what follows because we’re going to walk out of Taking Hold of the Flame making
sure you all never overlook us again!”
Syren drops the microphone and
turns as “Indestructible” plays again.
Knots: “You may be right,
Sharper. She’s focused. That may be bad for everyone.”
Sharper: “But they’re a unit
and I get why they may feel overlooked, but in a match like this Sunday’s
Taking Hold of the Flame, those who plan to win can’t overlook anyone!”
Knots: “You go over the top,
you’re done. And anyone can send you flying!”
Syren turns as she joins
Ravyn. Infamous starts to exit the ring as the crowd boos and we cut away.
Pulling into a parking space
outside the Royal Farms Arena, the Chrysler 300 turns off their headlights. The
driver's door opens and we see a pair of cowboy boots land firmly on the
ground, the person who is wearing the boots standing up. As the door is shut
the camera pans up to reveal a very unorthodox outfit, until the camera gets to
the face of the person on camera as the fans inside the arena watching the
scene on SCWtron start to cheer wildly, realizing who it is they are looking at
as he is smiling wide.
Sharper: “Oh my word ladies and gentlemen, I don’t believe who we are looking
at, but that is Dylan Howell!”
Knots: “Yes it is Dylan Howell, Sharper. We are getting ready for Taking Hold
of the Frame and it seems as though SCW is about to get even crazier! And look,
Dylan looks like he has been eating well in his time away!”
Sharper: “Be nice, Jon.”
Knots: “That was nice.”
Still smiling, Dylan is not alone either, as getting out of the car and
shutting the door to the passenger seat is Dylan’s girlfriend and manager, Sam
Alexis. Dylan goes around to Sam on the passenger side of the car, looking at
her, and holding out
Dylan: “Ready to watch me win the Flame thingy so I can get Addy back?”
Sam: “Dylan, we both know that Taking Hold of the Flame is not until Sunday,
and we don’t have any idea why Sasha wanted to talk to you tonight.”
Laughing like a madman already, Dylan literally almost blows off what Sam has
to say, his exuberance unmistakable, with more fans cheering.
Dylan: “Sam, we also know that Sasha knows like every wrestling boss likes to
make money, and Dylan Howell? I am one person that is going to make a lot of
money for SCW! Now we don’t want to keep Sasha waiting, let's go!”
Sam: “Alright, alright, let’s go.”
Dylan and Sam head inside to the arena, the fans cheering with a massive roar.
Sharper: “Dylan Howell is back and Sasha wants to talk to him with Taking Hold
of the Flame this week! We will be right back with more SCW Breakdown!”

Backstage,
Lexy Chapel is backstage, her head in her hands.
Lexy:
“I’m without sleep. I’m tired. I’m cranky. I can’t catch this bear…with this
stupid picnic basket!”
Lexy
smacks the picnic basket which his next to her in front of her.
Lexy:
“The bear is smarter than the average smart bear! Damn his furry hide!”
Lexy
sighs. We then see a crew member walking over, seeing the picnic basket
destroyed before walking over with a letter in an envelope.
Crew
member: “Uh…Lexy Chapel?”
Lexy
looks up.
Lexy:
“Yeah?”
Crewmember:
“A bear asked me to give you this.”
Lexy:
“What?! And you survived! Oh God, you poor thing. Give me that?”
Lexy
takes the telegram out of the members hands. As Lexy opens it and starts to
read it, we see a furry arm grab the crew member from behind and pull them
back. The camera turns as Lexy is reading aloud as the Dancing Bear is there,
thrusting back and forth as the crew member is just stunned.
Lexy:
“You think you can stop me. Not even 39 people can stop me! Oh my God…its going
to be in the Taking Hold of the Flame! It’s going to kill everyone!”
Lexy
then looks up as the dancing bear turns and waves and runs away.
Lexy:”
You! Stop!”
Lexy
goes to run past, hopping over the crew member and running off as the scene
cuts away.
David
Helms vs. Jordan Majors
Phillips: “The following match
is scheduled for one fall…”
The lights go down and flash purple as "Nightmare" by Halsey starts
to play.
Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord, my soul to keep
If I shall die before I 'wake
I pray the Lord, my soul to take
Jordan runs out on the stage and jumps, landing right when the beat hits and
looks out at the crowd with a big smile on her face.
Phillips: Introducing first; from Omaha, Nebraska, weighing one hundred thirty
pounds… JORDAN MAJORS!!!”
She continues to smirk as she starts to skip down the ramp ignoring the
fans as they reach out for her, cheering loudly. She sprints toward the ring
apron and slides under the bottom rope to the middle of the ring, going on her
elbows and kicking her feet behind her as she laughs. Jordan jumps to her feet
and runs to the ropes and jumps on to the middle rope and leans across the top
as she sticks her tongue out. She tosses her head back and forth a few times
before hopping off the rope and sauntering around the ring as the fans roar
again.
Sharper: “Jordan Majors out first for this and listen to that reaction, Jon!
That’s the sound of fans who are well and truly behind this young woman after
her recent actions!”
Knots: “Easy to do so. Seeing Jordan plant Sienna? Calling Chris a bitch.
Taking him out at the end of Fatal Fortunes? Jordan’s brought a LOT of people
on side lately…”
Sharper: “But tonight will be a big test for her as she looks to take that step
up to the next level, pardon the pun…”
Knots can be heard groaning as the arena's lights cut and the room falls into
complete darkness as a buzz spreads through the crowd, the screens suddenly
lighting up with one single solitary word...
"BANG!"
As the crowd react, the entire stage lights up with a brilliant white light and
the opening riff of an SCW remixed version of "All I Want" by A Day
To Remember hits the pa system. The crowd erupt into cheers again as they spot
the silhouette of David Helms standing there, his arms held aloft and his hands
throwing the Self High Five, all framed by the brilliant white light behind
him.
Phillips: “And her opponent…”
“ALL I WANT IS A PLACE TO CALL MY OWN
TO MEND THE HEARTS OF EVERYONE WHO FEELS ALONE
WOAH; YOU KNOW TO KEEP YOUR HOPES UP HIGH
BUT YOU HEAD DOWN LOW!”
The intro gives way to the chorus and the lyrics of said chorus flash up on the
screen as Helms suddenly jumps into the air and breaks his hands apart,
pyrotechnics exploding on either side of the stage as he lands and the house
lights raise again as the curtains part and Lucas Knight walks out onto the
stage to join Helms there. Helms grins at the fans, soaking up the cheers
before suddenly bolting towards the ring, leaving Lucas to head down after him.
Phillips: "From Red Bank New Jersey, now fighting out of the Hollywood
Hills; he weighed in earlier tonight at one hundred ninety nine pounds, and is
accompanied by Lucas Knight... DAVID HELMS!!!"
Reaching the ring, Helms jumps up and slides under the bottom rope feet first
before jumping straight back to his feet and climbing straight to the middle
rope of the nearest ring post. He throws his hands up into the Self High Five
to another cheer before hopping down and walking towards the closest camera on
the outside. He throws his hands into the Self High Five to the camera so that
his face is framed by the gap in the middle of his hands. Grinning, he mouths
the word "Bang!" into the camera before turning and settling back
into the corner to another cheer from the fans as Lucas stands on the outside,
talking to him through the ropes as Helms waits for the start of the match.
Knots: “And speaking of huge reactions, David Helms still getting just that
from our fans since his return.”
Sharper: “A Hall of Famer and a Supreme Champion, and apparently a competitor
with untapped reserves; he looks as good now as he did five years ago when he
retired.”
Knots: “Just hope he doesn’t expect ANOTHER pay per view named after him when
he retires again. Fool me once, shame on you, Adam. Fool me twice? Go to hell!”
Sharper: “I’m not sure that’s how that saying goes, Jon.”
Knots: “I know what I said…”
In the ring, the referee talks to Jordan then walks over to Helms and speaks to
him too. Happy to get things underway, he calls for the bell and the match
begins. The fans roar as Jordan and Helms both step out of their corners and
walk to the middle of the ring. Helms says something to Jordan and she nods her
head before David holds out a fist. Jordan bumps hers against it and they part
again, this time starting to circle one another.
Sharper: “A few words from David and then a show of respect between him and
Jordan.”
Knots: “Word on the grapevine is that Jordan is currently travelling with the
Helms family and their peeps. Must have made this awkward, when it was
announced?”
Sharper: “Maybe. Though considering those in the ring, maybe not.”
Jordan and Helms lock up in the middle of the ring. Despite him not being a big
guy, Helms is stronger and he spins around to come up behind Jordan. He grips
her around the waist but she drops and slides beneath his legs and comes up
behind Helms and he spins around only for Jordan to leap up and go for a
hurricanrana. Helms has it scouted though and he flips through and lands on his
feet before bouncing off the ropes. He comes back and Jordan goes for an arm
drag, but he rolls through and pops back up to go for an arm drag of his own.
This time Jordan rolls through and both end up getting up to one knee and
staring across the ring at one another as the fans give a huge pop.
Sharper: “An even contest so far, and it seems Jordan has done her homework!”
Knots: “Looks that way. Helms showing he hasn’t missed a beat either though,
and this could be a great match.
David is the first to get back to his feet. He nods his head, clearly
impressed, as Jordan gets up a little more cautiously, but she then turns and
breaks for the ropes and leaps up, springboarding off the middle and coming
back with a cross body. Helms goes down with Jordan on top of him but he powers
through and roll backwards, lifting Jordan up as he gets back to his feet.
Jordan starts kicking her legs before he can do anything though and a knee
catches him in the side of the head and he drops her. Jordan lands on her feet
but jumps up straight up with an enziguri and Helms staggers back into the
corner. The fans roar as Jordan runs across the ring and hits a big splash in
the corner, before turning and grabbing Helms by the head to drive him face
first into the canvas with a bulldog. The fans roar as Jordan makes the
cover.
1...NO!
Sharper: “First pin attempt scored by Jordan Majors but Helms got his shoulder
up after one!”
Knots: “Impressive start by Jordan though. Helms is clearly impressed too,
looking at his reaction.
The camera cuts back to the ring again to show Helms once again nodding his
head. Helms and Jordan both step in again and Jordan goes for a stiff kick.
Helms catches the leg though, and whips her over with a dragonscrew leg whip.
Helms kips back up as Jordan rolls back to her feet and Helms hits a frot
dropkick as she turns to face him, knocking her off her feet again. Helms leaps
back up and runs at the ropes, jumping up to springboard of the middle with a
moonsault and hooks the leg on landing as the referee slides into
position.
1…
KICKOUT!
Jordan fires the shoulder up with authority and Helms rolls away before getting
back up. Jordan quickly gets to her feet and Helms runs at her. Jordan spins
out and sends Helms into the ropes. Helms comes back off the ropes and as he
hits the middle of the ring, Jordan goes for a hip toss. Helms lands the flip
on his feet though and whips Jordan across the ring instead. She bounces off
the cables and as she returns, Helms goes for a hiptoss of his own but as he
lifts her up and over, he transitions it into a modified sitout powerbomb of
sorts.
Sharper: “Shades of the Hiptoss Piledriver there from David Helms, modified for
a new era!”
Knots: “We haven’t seen the Hiptoss Piledriver in years, and likely won’t ever
again thanks to the ban. But Jordan sure felt whatever that was!”
In the ring, Helms grabs both of Jordan’s legs and goes for the pin. The
referee slides in again.
1…
2...NO!!!
Knots: “And Jordan Majors has kicked out again!”
Sharper: “Modified Hiptoss… Powerbomb?... wasn’t enough and Jordan Majors
fights on!”
At the apron, Lucas claps his hands together three times and then holds three
fingers up to the official as Helms rolls to his knees and looks at Jordan,
letting out a breath before getting back up. He walks over to Jordan and pulls
her up to her feet. She waits until the last second before shoving him away
though and she turns her back to him before leaping up and hitting him with a
Pele kick and Helms staggers back before falling through the ropes to the
outside.
Sharper: “Jordan Majors just used the Wake Up Call ON David Helms! His own move
on him, here!”
Knots: “And that has to sting. Normally, that’s a slap in the face, but here?
Jordan has REALLY done her homework, and training at AnteUp has clearly given
her an insight, Adam!”
Sharper: “And David Helms is down on the floor in front of us, literally
knocked out of the ring from that pele kick…”
Jordan pulls herself back to her feet with the ropes and turns around,
expecting to see Helms on the canvas, but she does a double take before
spotting him on the outside. She looks over at him as the official starts to
count (1) and at first she goes to move towards the ropes to check on him (2)
but Jordan spots Helms pulling himself up using the announce table she turns
and breaks for the ropes on the opposite side of the ring (3). Jordan comes
back off the ropes and runs across the ring before diving through the top and
middle rope just as Helms turns to face the ring and she crashes into him and
they both go into the announce table, hard (4).
Sharper: “Suicide dive THROUGH the ropes by Jordan Majors and both may be hurt
here!”
Knots: “Jordan landed hard and Helms took the brunt of the force but Jordan
definitely seems to be feeling the effects of that too!”
The camera zooms in to show Jordan wincing as she gets up (5) and Helms begins
to stir too, once again using the announce table to pull himself up, Lucas
watching on from the steps to check on him while ensuring the referee doesn’t
think he’s interfering. Jordan grabs Helms and pulls him to the ring, rolling
him inside to break up the count before climbing onto the apron. She goes up
top and looks down at Helms on his back before turning her back on the ring.
Jordan leaps off, looking for the Money Drop but Helms gets his knees up just
in time and she crashes hard onto them before bouncing off and flying across
the ring.
Knots: “OHHH, big counter from David Helms, showing the awareness to get the
knees up!”
Sharper: “And look at the air that Jordan got just bouncing off of his knees,
she travelled halfway across the ring with that one!”
Helms gets to his feet first and he sees Jordan starting to stir. He rushes to
the corner nearest her and goes up top, looking back at her over his shoulder.
Jordan starts to get up and turns in time to see him jump looking for the Truth
And Consequences corkscrew moonsault but she jumps forward into the corner and
Helms lands on his feet. Jordan turns around but just in time for Helms to hit
her with a corner clothesline before he fires her across the ring and she hits
the opposite turnbuckles hard, staggering back to the middle of the ring where
Helms runs in and hits a running neckbreaker.
Sharper: “Jordan caught by surprise in the corner and Helms with a
neckbreaker!”
Knots: “And he’s going for the pinfall!”
In the ring, Helms makes the cover and the ref slides in to count it.
1…
2…
KICKOUT!
Jordan shoots the shoulder up and Helms rolls to his knees, breathing heavily
as Lucas applauds him from the outside. Jordan ends up on all fours, breathing
just as heavily as she looks up at Helms and grins. He returns the grin before
stepping back and allowing her to get to her feet, which gets a cheer from the
fans and a few people even applaud the sportsmanship as Jordan gets up.
Sharper: “Big show of sportsmanship from Helms and Jordan is now back on her
feet.”
Knots: “He better hope that doesn’t come to bite him in the ass later though,
Adam…”
Sharper: “This has been a fantastic exhibition for what this business should be
about though, folks. A living legend facing off against a future legend in the
making. And we have no idea which way it’s going to go!”
Helms and Jordan circle a little in the ring before both step in. They begin trading
forearms with one another, which gets the fans on their feet before David
blocks a shot and fires one of his own before sending Jordan into the ropes.
She bounces off and Helms hits the deck, Jordan jumping over as she hits the
ropes on the other side. Helms pops back up and leaps over the returning Jordan
this time and she hits the cables again. As she comes back, Helms sidesteps and
grabs Jordan by the head, hitting a snapmare before popping up and hitting a
dropkick to the back of Jordan’s head. The fans cheer and Lucas nods on from
the outside as Helms turns and walks towards the ropes. He starts to climb with
his back to the ring, but Jordan jumps up and crashes against the ropes and
Helms falls, crocheting himself on the top turnbuckle.
Knots: “Ohh, that’s gotta hurt! Nuts, meet turnbuckle. Turnbuckle, meet nuts!”
Sharper: “Jordan using the ropes to stop Helms in his tracks and it seems she
has ideas!”
Back in the ring, Jordan walks over to the corner and grabs Helms by the
shoulders, pulling him down into a tree of woe. She steps through the ropes and
quickly scales the top before jumping down with a double foot stomp on Helms’
chest before rolling away and Helms collapses from where he was hung on
the ropes to the canvas, landing on his head and neck. Jordan drags him out of
the corner and hooks the leg, looking for the pin.
1…
2…KICKOUT!
Jordan slaps the canvas as Lucas cheers on from the outside. Jordan rolls to
her feet and Helms follows suit. She turns and goes for a superkick but Helms
ducks and hits the ropes. He bounces off and comes back. He takes her down with
a clothesline and breaks for the ropes again as Jordan comes back up and as he
meets in the middle again he hits a running spinning heel kick. She hits the
canvas but gets back up. Helms turns and hits a Wake Up Call of his own and
goes for the pin.
1…
2…NO!
Jordan kicks out and Helms rolls away. Both quickly get to their feet but Helms
is quick to kick her in the stomach and he scoops her up onto his shoulders looking
for the Genesis Shift. Jordan drops down behind him though and as Helms spins
around she jumps up and hits him with the Cash Out to a huge roar from the
fans. She drops down and makes the cover.
1…
2…
3!!!
The fans roar again as “Nightmare” hits the speakers and Jordan rolls away
looking shocked.
Knots: “Jordan Majors just beat a hall of famer!”
Sharper: “A fantastic win for Jordan heading into Taking Hold of the Flame and
look at Helms. He’s grinning!”
The camera cuts back to the ring as Helms is up to a knee, and he is indeed
grinning. The referee holds Jordan’s arm up in victory as Lucas slides into the
ring. He checks on Helms then pulls him up and Helms looks at Jordan for a
minute before he holds out a hand. Jordan smiles nervous and shakes it before
Helms and Lucas both raise her arms in victory and Helms and Lucas then exit
the ring, Helms backing up the ramp as he applauds.
Sharper: “Fantastic show of appreciation from David Helms there, and what a win
for Jordan.”
Knots: “Helms nearly had it at the end but Jordan escapes the Genesis Shift and
just like she dropped Sienna Swann at Cold Blooded, she gets him tonight!”
The camera cuts back to show Jordan in the ring celebrating as Helms and Lucas
make their exit and the scene fades.
Asher
Hayes is seen standing by Jake Starr, getting in his face.
Asher:
“Add me to it. Just do it.”
Starr:
“Relax, dude. It’s fine.”
Asher:
“You’re coming up to others. Heard you went to Blake. Bring it here, man. I’ve
got a problem with that whole crew too!”
Starr:
“Okay, okay…”
Asher:
“I’m picking myself and give me 15. I just hope she’s not first. We’ll hear it
forever.”
Starr:
“Done and done.”
Asher:
“Better get that steak nice and juicy. It’s going to be mine. And I want it
right in the middle of that ring.”
Starr:
“Want to show off. I like that.”
Asher:
“Nah…just want people to know I’m seeing this through. Said last week I’m going
through the thing to win it. I’ll toss Sienna over and people can make sure
that they know exactly what I’ve done.”
Starr:
“Alright…I’ll see what can be done. But a lot has to go your way. It just
always hasn’t.”
Asher:
“It will this Sunday.”
Asher
turns and heads off. Starr nods as we then see a couple of officials coming
over, asking to sign up as we cut away.
“The
Old Me” plays as the Breakdown logo comes up. We then see a shot of the
Damrons.
Sharper:
“As Asher Hayes aggressively promotes his chances here-“
Knots:
“Starr’s pool getting some traction.”
Sharper:
“Not that he didn’t throw in a buy-in. He wants as many people going after
Sienna for fun. Regardless, next, this may not be fun. But it will be
intriguing. Ridley Ellis will make his debut.”
Knots:
“Hearing the Damrons about it for a while. What’s this all about?”
Sharper:
“He makes his debut, next, here on Breakdown!”
The
scene fades to black.

Xander Valentine is seen standing next to Jaina Lancaster. Artemis stands in
the background.
Jaina:
“Welcome back to Breakdown. I’m Jaina Lancaster and I am here with Xander
Valentine. Xander, last week, you went up to threaten Tommy, but wouldn’t take
a shot. Sasha mentioned that that’s something to ask you. What is going on
there? Why did you suddenly act stoic when in the past, you did attack him?”
Xander
looks down briefly.
Xander:
“Sins from my past haunting me. I’ll leave it that way.”
Jaina:
“Hardly a good answer.”
Xander:
“It’s the only answer you’re going to get there.”
Jaina:
“Alright…”
Jaina
refocuses, trying to hide her intimidation.
Jaina:
“Then what about the World Tag Team Championship?”
Xander:
“What about them?”
Jaina:
“You offered to team with Regan. Has anything come out of that? With all due
respect, she has some great choices with her husband, David and her best
friend, Selena.”
Xander:
“And both have failed her in other ways. Selena at Retribution. I respect her,
but this is not the fight she is set out for. David…he’s taken this too
personally. Regan needs someone who will do anything necessary and I can ensure
Tommy is no longer a problem. I have no issue with Kandis outside of
circumstance.”
???:
“And what if they’re not champs? Owen and Blake already played spoiler once.
They could keep the titles.”
Xander
turns as Datura walks into view. The crowd roars.
Xander:
“I can still help her.”
Datura:
“Or you can settle things. I mean, she already turned me down and I’ll always
mean more to her than you will.”
Xander:
“Don’t you have Shilo to worry about.”
Datura:
“This Sunday. After…depending on how the cards fall. How perfect would it be
that the two people who defined her over the last year and a half are who she
has to get through.”
Xander:
“I’m listening.”
Datura:
“Then keep the ears open. Let’s see who is holding what after tonight and this
Sunday.”
Xander
nods as Datura smiles and walks off.
Ridley
Ellis vs. Sammy Thomas Davies
Phillips: The following
contest is scheduled for one fall.
“Sharing is Caring” by the Tinker Toys can be heard throughout the arena as the
crowd is still filing into their seats.
Phillips: Now making his way to the ring accompanied by Clamidiya, here is
Sammy Thomas Davies!
As they start down from the top of the ramp headed toward the ring, Sammy and
Clamidiya are received rather mildly from the Baltimore crowd.
Sharper: Well here is Sammy Thomas Davies ladies and gentlemen, and if you have
been watching Sammy closely here in SCW, you would know that it has been a
while since Sammy was able to win a match, something that he would like to
change with a victory tonight.
Knots: There is a lot of talent in Sammy’s body. He just needs one thing to go
the right way for him and he stands a good chance of shooting back up into the
win column.
Sammy rolls over and pushes himself up to his feet before running over to the
ropes. Clamidiya turns and runs up the steel steps and enters the ring. She
walks around and the two pose in the middle of the ring. The song ends while
Sammy goes to his corner and Clamidiya to the outside as “Fake It” by Seether
assaults the ears of the listeners.
Phillips: His opponent, led to the ring by his manager Lester Damron, and
accompanied by Ali Damron, from San Dimas, California and weighing 218 pounds.
Riley Ellis!
"Fake It" continues playing and Ridley's Manager Lester Damron comes
out first followed by Ridley and his valet/girlfriend Ali Damron. They come
down the aisle toward the ring together, ignoring the hostile, booing crowd who
already don't like them. Only Lester has a smirk on his face, while they do.
Sharper: And here we are, the much anticipated debut of Ridley Ellis and The
Damrons. Not a whole lot has been said about Ridley. Mr. Knots, you are always
telling me what an investigative reporter you are. Got anything Ridley or his
two companions there?
Knots: Oh you know that I am most certainly here with things that you might
want to know about the three of them. Like I can tell you already this crowd
doesn’t like these people.
Sharper: Wow, brilliant.
Knots: Thank you!
Arriving at the ring, Ridley walks up the steps and gets inside, while Ali goes
to his corner outside, giving him instruction before the bell and Lester goes
over to join the announce team for this match, sitting down next to Adam
Sharper and putting on a headset.
Sharper: Well it looks like we are going to be joined here by the Manager of
Ridley Ellis. Welcome Lester Damron is it?
Damron: Oh how very formulaic, I like you already Adam Sharper. Lester Damron
you are correct sir.
Sharper: Thank you.
Knots: So Lester, what can you tell us about Ridley?
Damron: Gettin’ right to the point, that is great, Jonothan Knots. I can tell
you that it is by design that you don’t know much about Ridley, and his
opponent Mr. Davies? He should have gotten the license plate.
Sharper: Excuse me, but what license plate are you referring to?
The referee calls for the bell to begin the match, as Ali Damron continues to
say something to Ridley Ellis in his corner Clamidiya is cheering on Sammy is
his.
Ding! Ding! Ding!
As soon as the bell sounds, Ellis explodes like a rabid tiger from a kneeling
position and destroys Davies with a huge running lariat that turns Davies
inside out as he lands very awkwardly on his head and neck, while Ellis lets
out a huge roat.
Sharper: What the hell was that?!
Damron: The truck that hit Mr. Davies of course.
Knots: And now I know you were talking about when you said that Sammy should
have gottem the license plate.
Damron: Well aren’t you just on top of things?
Rather than expending the energy himself Ellis waits while Davies pulls himself
up and then backs him into a corner with repeated high knee strikes that hit
Davies so hard that fans in the first row cover their head in their hands and
look away. Davies is about to go down from this punishing assault, but Ellis
stands him back up, spins him around, grabs a waistlock, and delivers a
crushing high angle release german suplex. Even the large majority of fans in
the crowd are too stunned to boo such force as Davies is out in the center of
the ring as Ellis makes the cover, scowling and baring his teeth at the
referee.
1!
2!
No Ridley Ellis stops the count, ripping Sammy Thomas Davies off the mat!
Sharper: And that should have been the end of the match folks after that
awesome display of power that we have already witnessed. I hate to think of
what might happen next.
Knots: Is STD even alive? Ridley was going to end it but Ali wasn’t pleased on
the outside and so we continued.
Damron: Ridley is going to make a point.
Ellis stands Davies in the center of the ring and looks to Ali who nods. Then
without any wasted motion he hits an inverted Styles Clash leaving Davies
motionless while there is ooohing and ahhing from the few members of the crowd
that aren’t too terrified to say something.
Sharper: I’ve never seen anything like that. I am not even sure what to call
it.
Damron: That my friends is what I like to call “The Reckonin’
Knots: Yeah? I like to call it the clean up in aisle damn!
Davies still hasn’t moved when Ellis steps on him for the arrogant cover while
he looks like he wants to leave more destruction.
1!
2!
3!
The referee is too scared to raise Ellis’s hand, fearing that he might end up
his next meal as he growls again.
Phillips: Here is your winner Ridley Ellis!
Damron: Gents it has been a privilege. You might want to get medical assistance
for Mr. Davies. He is going to need it.
Lester gets up and leaves with Ali and Ridley, leaving the normal announce team
to explain the carnage that just took place.
Sharper: Thank God they have just left. Sammy Thomas Davies hasn’t moved ladies
and gentlemen.
Knots: That medical attention that Lester was talking about? They're here.
First the situation earlier, now this?
Sharper: Well at least they got here soon. Fans we are going to go to a
commercial and we will be right back with more Breakdown.
The
scene fades to black.

On the phone in her office,
SCW promoter Sasha D. is discussing several things to do with Taking Hold of
the Flame this weekend until she looks up and she gets a somewhat suspicious
look on her face.
Sasha: “Yeah Dean, I will need to call you back. He is here and so we are going
to discuss what needs to happen this Sunday.”
Sasha listens carefully to the person on the other end while shaking her head.
Sasha: “No, no. everything is and will be fine here, thank you.”
Hanging up the phone, Sasha looks across from her, a slight smile on her face.
As soon as the camera pans across the desk at the people that have come into
her office, the crowd starts to cheer.
Sasha: “Dylan Howell.
As always Dylan helps himself and takes a seat along with his girlfriend and
manager Dr. Sam Alexis who stands alongside Dylan, looking almost apologetic,
while Dylan is oblivious as ever, the crowd getting even louder.
Sasha: “Please don’t mind me, make yourself at home, Dylan.”
Dylan: “Thank you, Sasha!”
Sasha: “Dr. Alexis, it is nice to see you again.”
Sam: “Yes Sasha, it is good to see you also. I tried to tell Dylan that we
should at least knock on the door, but of course you know Dylan.”
Sasha: “Oh do I ever. Seriously though, it is perfectly fine. I did ask Dylan
here because there are some things I want to go over with regards to this
weekend.”
Dylan looks over at Sam with a wide eyed grin.
Dylan: “See, I told you that Sasha wants to talk to me about that Flame thingy!
Sasha knows. I am going to win the Flame thingy and then I am going to Rise to
Greatness and go get Addy back!”
The crowd roars again in response to wanting to see Dylan compete in the Taking
Hold of the Flame Battle Royal.
Sasha: “Yes I would like to talk to you about being in the Taking Hold of the Flame
Battle Royal this Sunday. I have one question for you though, how long has it
been since you have been in a wrestling ring?”
Dylan starts thinking to himself to see if he can come up with the correct
response to the question, while the crowd starts chanting “Too damn long!”
Dylan: “I am not sure, but I can tell you that it has been a while. I just
thought that you would want me back because I will make you oodles of money and
I know that you like money like all wrestling boss types. I didn’t know that
there was going to be a pop quiz though.”
Sasha: “Don’t worry, there isn’t a pop quiz. But you have been gone for over a
year and a half so while you are correct and it is important that SCW makes
money and no doubt fans will come to see you therefore you will make money, I
also have to be sure that you are safe.”
Dylan starts to shake his head up and down enthusiastically.
Dylan: “I can be safe! I had 6-months safe with no accidents at McDonald’s!”
Sam hides her head in her hands while Sasha tries not to laugh.
Sasha: “That is great Dylan, I do like McDonald’s. But I am talking about you
being safe in the ring, for yourself and for your other competitors as well, so
I think that you are going to need to prove to me that you can work safely
while being successful.”
Dylan: “And how do I do that?”
Sasha: “Sunday, I am putting you into a match before the match Battle Royal,
and as long as you or your opponent are not injured then the person that wins
that match will go to compete in the Taking Hold of the Flame Battle Royal.”
Dylan can hide his exuberance.
Dylan: “I can do that Sasha! Who is my opponent?”
Sasha: “Your opponent is a newcomer, Ridley Ellis.”
Dylan stands up next to Sam and smiles across at Sasha while the crowd cheers
again.
Dylan: “Well I guess I had better get ready for Sunday, because I will not let
Ridley Ellis stop me from winning the Flame thingy! See you later, Sasha. Tell
you Daddy I see hi!”
Sasha: “Oh, will do.”
Dylan and Sam walk out leaving Sasha alone in her office as she just shakes her
head…
Sasha: “Flame thingy…”
Glory
Braddock vs. Regan Street
SCW
Television Championship
The first chords of "When
Legends Rise" begins to play over the PA system. Glory Braddock steps out
onto the stage, wearing her ring gear consisting of purple spandex pants,
boots, and a purple top. She really does look like a million bucks and grins
from ear to ear, gazing out at the crowd for a moment before making her way
down the entrance ramp.
Phillips: “The following
contest is scheduled for onefall and has a fifteen minute time limit and is for
the SCW Television Championship! First, the challenger, from London, England,
she is the British Bombshell, Glory Braddock!”
It's burning down, it's burning high
when ashes fall the legends rise
We burned it out oh my oh why
When ashes fall the legends rise
Throat is dry, my vision's fading
I'm paralyzed and left here waiting
Taking time just one step forward
Won't lose my mind, I'm here to stay
The British Bombshell steps up the steel steps and then onto the ring apron.
She poses momentarily on the apron, allowing people to take snapshots before
stepping through the ropes and into the ring. Once in the ring Glory
heads to the center of the ring and poses once more. Then the music dies down slowly...
Sharper:
“Glory Braddock claims she’ll be taking the TV title from Regan tonight. She’ll
have her chance. But this should be a hell of a match.”
Knots:
“Under all of this is that Glory Braddock has had her eye on Selena Frost.
Selena too. But Glory is waiting for her moment, not letting Selena have hers.”
The arena goes dark. The sound
of a Hellcat scratching through the screen is seen with a roar. Fireworks blast
off the entrance as “Who's Next” by Porcelain Black plays throughout the arena.
Regan Street walks out in her cheetah print wrestling gear and ensemble with
her younger sister, Mikaela and cousin Delilah behind her. She wears the SCW
Television Championship. She stands at the entrance way looking out into the
crowd as they shower her with cheers. Regan turns to Mikaela and Delilah, they
all nod before she looks around at the crowd, screams and then smirks walking
to the ring determined for her next match and starts to make her way down to
the ring followed by Mikaela and Delilah.
Phillips: “Her opponent, accompanied by Mikaela and Delilah, from Santa Monica,
california, she is the SCW Television Champion, the Hellcat, Regan Street!”
Regan Street gets to the apron and hops up to the ring as the crowd roars;
pointing to Delilah to sit by Knots and Sharper, nodding she does. Regan flips
over the ropes back first to cheers from the fans, Mikaela slides after her.
Once inside the ring Regan goes to the corner, climbing it and posing in her
own confident way as Mikaela claps before dropping down and walking to the
middle of the ring where she takes off her entrance attire and nods to her
sister, handing her the gear and she makes her way to the corner while the
Hellcat stands waiting to start her fight. Regan takes off her title, watching
Glory. The referee raises it over his head as the SCW Television Championship
logo comes across the screen. Regan then cart wheels and ruffles her hair as
she waits for the match to begin…
Sharper:
“Regan Street all business. She has a lot on her mind. World Tag Titles. This
TV title match. But also, she wants to win Taking Hold of the Flame this
Sunday.”
Knots:
“I just have to say. She’s been going hard with the TV Title. We’ve said it
over and over. It’s a title of endurance. Every week, you need to be on your
best game. Will she have enough left this Sunday depending on her draw?”
The
bell sounds. Regan then steps out and goes right for Glory. Glory backs up and
Regan gets a couple of hard right hands in as the crowd roars. Glory backs up
to the corner, extending her arms, demanding the break. Regan pushes her in.

Regan falls to the corner. Glory then kicks her in the ribs, before stomping
her over and over again.
Sharper:
“Glory using the distance, using the cheap shot, and now working over Regan in
the corner!”
Knots:
“She knew Regan would come in hot. She’s getting her hot and then taking that
away from her!”
The

Knots:
“Keeping her away from the ropes. Forcing Glory to stay in the ring. In case
she plans to bail again!”
Sharper:
“If she’s going to keep her with her strategy, she’ll need to figure it out in
the ring.”
Glory

there between Regan and the Beauty Factory!”
Regan

Backstage,
Glory Braddock is walking backstage, annoyed, as she takes a few more steps
before Selena Frost, who is standing by one of the walls, waiting for someone,
whether Glory or Regan, steps up.
Glory:
“Going to rub this in my face. Not like you could beat me. Twice, had me in the
ring, couldn’t get it done.”
Selena:
“Regan seemed to get it done. And we could solve it whenever you want.”
Glory:
“But you see, you’re Selena Frost. From what Sienna tells me-“
Selena:
“And if you believe her crap, then you’re already a lost cause and better than
that.”
Glory
smirks.
Glory:
“Well if you want me, try me in the battle royal. Maybe if you’re lucky, you can
stop me before I toss Regan over. Just a little reminder that she got lucky
tonight.”
Selena:
“I’d love to see you try.”
Glory:
“Oh I will and when it happens, it can be another failure that can be pinned on
you. Couldn’t win the tag titles with you. You couldn’t even help her win her
other goal.”
Selena
says nothing. Glory steps up.
Glory:
“Yeah. Tell me how you can beat me when I can play you like a fiddle!”
Selena
shoves her back. Glory shoves her back. Selena turns and goes to get up to go
face to face with Glory as a few officials nearby show up and pull them apart.
Glory just smiles.
Selena:
“We’ll see this Sunday.”
Glory
continues to be backed up as Selena tries to push forward before we cut away.
Sharper:
“Selena Frost and Glory Braddock continue to be at each other’s throats. It’s
been going back and forth for weeks.”
Knots:
“A lot of people hoping they cross paths this Sunday in the battle royal.”
Sharper:
“This Sunday, well, yeah, we better talk about it!”
The
Taking Hold of the Flame logo comes up on the screen as “Take Hold of the
Flame” by Queensryche plays in the background. Stills of each match come up on
the screen.
Sharper:
“This Sunday, it’s one of the most anticipated events of the year, Taking Hold
of the Flame and it will see the World Championship on the line…”
Aaron Blackbourne vs. Bree
Lancaster
SCW World Championship
Sharper:
“Aaron Blackbourne challenges Bree Lancaster in a rematch, with higher stakes,
from Rise to Greatness last year.”
Knot:
“Bree Lancaster finally won the title at Cold Blooded. But could Aaron
Blackbourne make it a quick memory. Can he bust through? He wants this.
Rematch, yeah. But you said it, bigger get. The World Title.”
Sharper:
“Aaron Blackbourne is in better condition. Will that be enough though?”
Dylan Howell vs. Ridley Ellis
Knots:
“This guy, he comes back, and he’s immediately thrown into the lion’s den!”
Sharper:
“We saw Ridley Ellis and how brutal his style can be. He made his debut
tonight. He will make his pay per view debut this Sunday and against Dylan
Howell, who wanted a fight. Well…here we go!”
Knots:
“May be quickly regretting that!”
Shilo Valiant vs. Datura
Sharper:
“Shilo Valiant has played games for months. Now, he’s targeting Datura because
Datura pinned him at Cold Blooded. He was laying down the entire match!”
Knots:
“But Datura fought fire with fire…literally. Shilo’s been quiet tonight, but I
just take that for more games. This Sunday, they meet!”
Pina Colada vs. Devin Brando
& Lyza Reyes
2020 World’s Best Tag Tournament
Finals
Sharper:
“Meanwhile, a lot of discussion about the SCW Tag Team Division.”
Knots:
“Let’s hope these two teams join!”
Sharper:
“Pina Colada and Brando and Reyes have been dominant in this special tournament
hosted by Adam Allocco and SCW. The finals will take place this Sunday at
Taking Hold of the Flame and it should be a treat!”
40 Person Taking Hold of the
Flame Battle Royal
Knots:
“But by the end of the night, the match everyone is watching closely.”
Sharper:
“So much can change in one match and for one individual, they will have a World
Championship opportunity at Rise to Greatness.”
Knots:
“Forty people. Gotta get through the entire field. A lot of subplots. So many
people want that coveted spot.”
Sharper:
“And add Starr’s pool, Blake Mason now in the match, Alistaire Allocco saying
he’ll meet Matt Hodges-“
Knots:
“The Dancing Bear!”
Sharper:
“And a whole bunch more surprises. That all will take place this Sunday!”
The
Taking Hold of the Flame logo comes up on the screen again.
Sharper:
“The Road to Rise to Greatness is nearly here and it kicks off proper this
Sunday. Who will punch their tickets to the main event of Rise to Greatness!”
The
logo remains on the screen for a few moments longer.
“The
Old Me” by Memphis May Fire plays throughout the arena as the Breakdown logo
comes up on the screen. A shot of the SCW World Tag Team Championship before
showing Tommy Valentine and Kandis before showing Blake Mason and Owen Cruze
and then showing both.
Knots:
“Well, finally, we may resolve this.”
Sharper:
“Match one, the title changes hands, but Xander Valentine was involved. Last
week, the Wonderland. Tonight, steel cage, World Tag Team Championship on the
line, and there must be a winner. Just days before Taking Hold of the Flame.
It’s next!”
The scene
fades to black.

Steel
Cage Match
Breakdown
returns to see the steel cage set up around the ring as the crowd roars.
Sharper:
“You see the steel cage around this ring.”
Knots:
“Getting good use these last couple of months.”
Sharper:
“First time for tag team action though and it may be needed to ensure this has
a clear winner.”
The sound of a whip cracking
gets everyone's attention, followed by the heavy bass riff of “More Human than
Human.” The sounds of a female in the throes of passion seem to have been
replaced with Kandis' voice.. When the moaning stops, the heavier music kicks
in, then Kandis and Tommy Valentine come through the curtain. Both smirk as
they look around.
Phillips: “The following
contest is schedule for onefall for TV time remaining and is a steel cage match
for the SCW World Tag Team Championship! First, the challengers, from West
Hollywood, California, she is Kandis.... and from Santa Barbara, California, he
is Tommy Valentine.... they are The Jackass and Big Ass Connection!”
The heavy music continues as
the pair walk down the ramp, Kandis a step ahead, with Tommy clearly watching
her voluptuous rear end as they proceed. Once getting to the ring, Tommy opens
the door and hops on the apron as Kandis goes up the steps. He holds the ropes
open for her, and she steps through, slowly, making sure all who are interested
get a good view (and pics) of her ass. Once in the ring, Kandis walks around
showing herself off while Tommy watches. Kandis then walks to their corner, and
Tommy follows, giving her ass a light slap as they get to the corner.
Sharper:
“Making sure that this situation would
not fester. Let’s be clear, the Connection have a lot of enemies. That
situation with David Helms and Regan Street in the background. Same for Xander
Valentine. But will the World Tag Team Championship be involved.”
Knots:
“Already saw Datura and Xander Valentine plotting something. The Tag division
in SCW seeing a lot of people looking to stake a claim.”
Sharper:
“The Connection getting their rematch and a resolution much sooner. That they
had to wait last year is why they took a more aggressive tact.”
The lights go out. A few
moments later, a white spotlight shines at the top of the ramp. In that
spotlight we see a man wearing a robe that "Blake Mason Experience"
embroidered in white. The lights to the rest of the arena come back on, the
chorus to "G.O.A.T" (when money comes) echoes
through the loud speaker. Blake Mason still has his back turned to the
camera. Standing behind him is Jaxson Sullivan, wearing a suit, looking like he
is ready to knock someone’s head off. Blake heads to the ring at a
methodical pace, holding the SCW World Tag Team Championship.
Phillips; “Their opponents,
first, accompanied by Jaxson Sullivan, from Boston, Massachusetts, he is one
