I'll be the guard dog of all your fever dreams"

Just not for long, for long
If we meet forever now, pull the blackout curtains down
Just not for long, for long
We could be immor immortals, immor immortals
Immor immortals,
immor immortals
Immortals"

We then see a shot of Ravyn Taylor looking down at herself, while posing in the corner before showing Adrenaline Rush in the ring. Shots of Kennedy Street standing in the middle of the ring posing, followed by Katie Steward posing and Bill Barnhart lifting Ikiro Yoshida up with the Barnhart Shoulder Breaker walking to the ring are shown. This is followed with a shot of Regan Street dropping an opponent with the CATastrophe before showing Bree Lancaster nailing Marie Jones with the Classifier, followed by a shot of Tyler Tucker going for the Caffeine Crash before the SCW Breakdown logo comes back up on the screen.

The scene then cuts to show the inside of Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri as we see the lights turned out and a red hue coming over the ring as a video plays on the big screen. We see fans in the concourse at some of the merchandising before see a few play to the camera.

Spirit: “We are at the final stop before Taking Hold of the Flame. Someone’s career is going to change this Sunday. But first, tonight, Kansas City, it’s Breakdown!”

A few moments pass before we cut to a shot of the inside of the SCW Studios to see the camera pan down and we see Spirit Dansby and Shawn Winters at the desk.

Spirit: “Welcome to Toronto. Spirit Dansby here with Shawn Winters. We’ll be going to Kansas City shortly, but this is always a crazy night, right Shawn?”

Winters: “This is the last night before Taking Hold of the Flame as you said and there’s few nights that change a career. Forty individuals going to be in the battle royal. I’ve won it. Got me to the dance one more time. Someone else is going to get that option and tonight, this is your last night to maybe give yourself an advantage, mentally, physically, emotionally.”

Spirit: “And a lot of people want that win. Think about all of the stars in the battle royal. PPF as a whole, Syren and Ravyn, Bree Mason, Giovanni Aries…Cassidy Carter says she has Ace Marshall’s spot. We heard from Chad Evans. But one name we may not see is Selena Frost.”

Winters :”Not tonight definitely. She’s been granted tonight off for personal reasons. But this Sunday, she’s said she’s going to be using the Trios contract for the Rise to Greatness main event. Does she even show up?”

Spirit: “I’m sure that will just rile Regan Street up and I think rightfully so. But speaking of Trios contracts, Donovan Kayl, who used his to challenge Kennedy Street his Sunday, will be in action against Justin Davis. That will be interesting to see what happens there.”

Winters: “I’m more interesting to see if Kennedy and Kayl are going to be on the same page right through to Taking Hold of the Flame. In one sense its refreshing that we don’t have a match with so much controversy around it, but at the same time, does that help Kayl? Kennedy’s been so fired up, is that motivation to get to Rise to Greatness enough? Does Kayl know that?”

Spirit: “Great point. We’ll see what happens. Ace Marshall also finally back after two weeks away after WTF Wednesday. Cassidy said he was broken. Is he? We don’t know. But much to come tonight, including AJ Helms faces Thirteen and Sophie O’Brian challenging for the SCW Television Champion against Ikiro Yoshida.”

Winters: “Shame Jason Helms isn’t a jackass as much anymore, huh?”

Spirit: “One way of looking at it.”

We cut to see a shot of the arena in Kansis.

Spirit: “We’re about ready to head to Kansas. We’ll see you in the intermission to run down Taking Hold of the Flame. Speaking of which, Amy Chastaine and Bree Mason are here. If they cross paths…oh boy.”

Winters: “Got the popcorn already.”

Spirit: “Let’s then head to Kansas City. Adam Sharper and Jonathan Knots have the call. Gentlemen?”

We then cut to the inside of the Sprint Center in Kansas City, Missouri. The cameras pan across the crowd.

Sharper: “Thank you Spirit. Adam Sharper and Jonathan Knots here at ringside. Days away from Taking Hold of the Flame.”

We then cut to ringside and the SCW announce table.

Knots: “Exactly and the beginning of the most magical time of the year…Rise to Greatness season.”

Sharper: “Everything turned up a notch. Not quite there yet, but almost there. Days away. St. Louis is going to be rocking this Sunday, but tonight, in Kansas City, we’ll be seeing some opportunity.”

Knots: “Sophie O’Brian is hoping she can finally get it done tonight. Finally win the TV Title. Jason Helms got to be watching this one closely.”

Sharper: “And Thirteen will face AJ Helms in what could be a very interesting match. AJ Helms wrestling for the first time since he essentially joined Past, Present, Future!”

Knots: “Looking to finally stake a claim to being the future. We’ll see how that goes, especially with Regan Street in his corner!”

“Criticize” by Adelita’s Way starts to play and the crowd cheers. A few moments pass before we see Kennedy Street step out from the back, holding her World Championship.

Knots: “And we’re starting with Kennie!”

Sharper: “The World Champion who this Sunday will face Donovan Kayl for that title.”

Kennedy Street starts to walk to the ring, scanning the arena as the crowd cheers her. She continues on her way to the ring before getting to the ring. She then stops and walks up the steel steps. She scans the arena again before stepping along the apron and stepping through the ropes. She then hoists the World Title over her head and looks out at the crowd. She then walks back and turns around to the corner, asking for a microphone from Jason Phillips. Phillips steps over and hands her one and Kennedy takes it and walks back to the middle of the ring. Her music fades out as she looks around the arena. They cheer her before she begins to speak.

Kennedy: “Days away…Days away from a night I won’t need to defend my reputation against someone who sought to destroy it all to push themselves back up to the top. No…they have to try and get through Taking Hold of the Flame to come after this title.”

Kennedy pauses again.

Kennedy: “Days away from not having to deal with someone who can’t understand that you can throw mud at your former friends. You can claim to be classy. You can have all of the money in the world thanks to your cowardly husband…and it doesn’t matter because in this ring, all that matters is who’s hand is raised high at the end. And trust me, I know that one all too well and watching you scramble…that I’m enjoying….and Amy…kick her ass.”

The crowd roars. Kennedy smirks.

Kennedy: “Days away from facing someone I’ve called a brother…someone who I am happy is part of my life as a mentor and a teacher and I, in the past, maybe didn’t deserve it, but finally, after all of the years, we can meet in this ring and no BS…no drama…just two top wrestlers fighting for this. The World Championship.”

Kennedy looks at the World Title as the crowd cheers a bit.

Kennedy: “Right, Donovan?”

Kennedy smirks and looks around at the crowd.

Kennedy: “I remember when you came to me just before Unflawed, telling me you were going to use your Trios contract for Taking Hold of the Flame. You even were upfront about your own reasons. Yes, you wanted to see if you could main event Rise to Greatness. Who wouldn’t? But more importantly, you told me it was to face me. I hadn’t won yet and that was the kind of faith you’ve had in me for years. It’s a shame though that only one of us can walk out World Champion and this is the answer I know you’ll want to hear, but it doesn’t make me happy to say it, that I’ll need to end your dreams of main eventing that night for me to stand tall one more time. I have unfinished business at Rise to Greatness.”

Kennedy looks down as the crowd cheers.

Kennedy: “Plus, if Syren manages to pull it off this Sunday, I think I wouldn’t mind giving her a bit a message that she’s not getting back up under any circumstances!”

The crowd roars as Kennedy looks at the camera.

Kennedy: “Because I’ve been waiting for this title for a long time. Just like Bree found out, and unfortunately, how Donovan found out, I aint going anywhere, honey. I’m on top of the world and I’ve earned all of this and Syren can come out and give her fiery speech. Bree can continue to burn bridges. Sienna Swann can demand the world. AJ Helms can say he deserves better. I can go through the entire roster. I don’t care who I see standing across from me at Rise to Greatness. That’s what I want! That’s what I’ve earned. And Donovan…we’re going to tear the house down. I need this to end the way I want for me…”

Kennedy pauses again.

Kennedy: “Sorry Donovan…but you’ll have to wait a bit longer to have the moment you want.”

The crowd cheers as “Criticize” starts to play again. Kennedy brings the microphone down and turns and hands it off to Phillips. She then turns and climbs up onto the corner turnbuckles and holds the title over her head.

Sharper: “Kennedy Street focused, ready, and she’s going to do what she needs to do.”

Knots: “Rise to Greatness on the horizon. She’s so close. She deserves this.”

Sharper: “We’ll see what happens. She has to go through Donovan Kayl and let’s not forget…still a long road to Rise to Greatness. Whoever walks out as champion this Sunday…it’s just the beginning!”

Kennedy continues to pose with the title as her music plays. The cameras focus on her for a few moments longer before we cut away.

Konrad Raab vs. Katie Steward

Cold as Ice by M.O.P plays over the sound system as Konrad comes out through the curtain just wearing his blue and white mask with white hair along with his wrestling trousers with his nickname The Iceman on the front of them with Pit Bull Energy logos on the side of his trousers with black gloves on both of his hands with a side cross necklace on his neck.

Phillips: “From Cologne, Germany, he is The Iceman, Konrad Raab!”

He then high fives the fans as he goes up the stairs before going in-between the ropes and does a holdup on each turnbuckle and everyone cheers him as he gets down from the turnbuckle and does a few boxing punches to the cameras before he looks for his opponent waiting for the match to start.

Sharper: “The next match will put Konrad Raab against Katie Steward.”

Knots: “Raab has been busy wrestling everywhere. You have to wonder if he has what it takes to take on the Goddess.”

A church organ begins to play. A chorus sings along with a harmonious melody

The lights in the arena dim down darkening the area and “Mercy on Me (Instrumental)” starts to play. A spotlight shines down onto the stage for Katie Steward to step out from behind the curtain and stands in the light. She wears her white ring robe with a pink outline around the white cloth and gold sequences sparkled over it. She grabs the sides of her robe holding it out and spins around slowly showing off to the fans who snap photos and videos of her.

After a few seconds on the posing on the stage she turns back around and continues her walk down the ramp and the spotlight follows. Inside the ring, TJ Johnson is already there and has helped himself to the ring announcer’s microphone.

TJ Johnson: Ladies and Gentleman, I’m proud and honor to introduce to you tonight, your Goddess of Desire, nay your Goddess of Supreme, Katie Steward.

Katie makes it to ringside and walking over to the ring steps. She stops as TJ finishes her introduction and a mixed reaction from the fans. The arena lights return to normal. She carefully climbs up and grabs the ring post so she doesn’t fall. She walks along the apron and waits for TJ to walk over and holds the ropes open for her. Katie enters the ring and walks to the middle and stands there taking off her ring robe revealing her amazing and beautiful ring wrestling attire and TJ is right there to take her robe from her. Katie and TJ walk over to her corner and TJ exits the ring with Katie’s robe in hand and Katie gets warmed up for her match.

Knots: “Now that’s how you make an entrance. But sadly TJ is still employed. Do you think he gets paid?”

Sharper: “I’ll be sure to look into that.”

The ref calls for the bell and Raab steps out of his corner. Raab goes to lock up but Katie puts her hand, telling Konrad to wait. Raab steps back, shaking his head. Katie goes back to the ropes and has TJ check her boots, which he does.

Knots: “Ladies and gents, when you are in this sport, you have to take the proper precautions to ensure your own safety.”

Sharper: “And ladies and gents, while I agree with that, I don’t believe that is what Katie Steward is doing.”

Katie thanks TJ before returning her attention to Raab. Raab goes for a tie up, but Katie hits a kick to the mid-section, then a few quick kicks to the ribs, staggering Raab. Katie then jumps on Raab’s back, locking in a sleeper hold. Raab simply falls back, landing hard on Katie. Katie rolls over, wincing in pain, as Raab rolls over and climbs to his feet.

Raab picks Katie up and whips her across the ropes. Katie comes back but Raab connects with a dropkick. Katie hits the mat and Raab goes for the cover.

Katie kicks out. Raab gets up, picking Katie up off of the mat as well and whips her into the corner. Raab charges, going for a running clothesline, but Katie manages to get out of the way. Raab hits the corner hard and stumbles back a bit. Katie runs into and bounces off of the ropes, taking Raab down with a bulldog. Katie gets to her feet, before connecting with a break dance leg drop. Katie then hooks the leg.

Knots: “Oh my. Katie hitting that leg drop. Paying homage to the late great Calvan Greene.”

Sharper: “Calvan isn’t dead.”

Knots: “Are you sure? Either way. He always looked great and there were those rumors he was always late.”

Raab shoots the shoulder up. Katie gets to her feet and bounces off of the ropes just as Raab sits up, and Katie connects with a running knee smash. Katie then hooks the leg again.

Raab kicks out. Katie waits for Raab to get to his feet. Raab climbs to his feet, and Katie grabs him, going for a Russian leg sweep, but Raab lands a back elbow. Katie staggers and Raab grabs her before taking her down with a DDT. Katie pushes herself up, only to turn into an enziguri. Raab hooks the leg.

Katie kicks out! Raab lifts Katie up and whips her into the ropes. Katie comes back and Raab plants her with a spinebuster. Raab reaches down and puts Katie into the Ice Lock! The crowd explodes as Katie tries to scramble to the ropes.

Sharper: “Raab with that ankle lock. That will definitely slow things down for the Goddess.”

Katie reaches towards the ropes, but Raab manages to pull her back to the center of the ring, wrenching down on the ankle lock. Katie screams, before slowly pushing herself up and flipping forward, breaking the hold, sending Raab into the ropes. Raab hits the ropes and his head bounces back. Raab rolls over onto the mat as Katie is shown slowly climbing to her feet, her right leg hobbling due to the ankle lock.

Sharper: “Raab hitting the ropes at an awkward position. Katie’s right leg seems to be feeling the effects of the Ice Lock. You have to wonder what sort of damage has been done to both of these competitors.”

Knots: “Yeah, Raab’s head snapped back pretty quick, but you have to give Katie credit. She managed to break the Ice Lock, using her old timer’s experience to her advantage.”

Raab is shown shaking the cobwebs and using the ropes to get to his feet. He then turns just as Katie steps forward, using all she has to connect with The Most Beautiful Superkick Ever! Raab hits the mat.

Knots: “The Most Beautiful Superkick Ever did not look so beautiful. Katie nearly stumbled through that.”

Katie grabs at her leg for a few moments before hobbling over and going for the pin.

Sharper: “Katie going for the pin, but she may have wasted some time nursing her leg.”

Knots: “Where is TJ when you need him?”

Raab stirs and rolls over, preventing the pin, and Katie looks at him and then suddenly rolls him up and manages to take him over as much as possible with a school boy.

Raab kicks out just after three and Katie rolls out of the ring. She throws her arm in the air as the crowd boos and the bell sounds.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Katie Steward!”

Sharper: “And Katie just got him enough! The downward spiral of Konrad Raab continues.”

Knots: “Struggling more and more. Nearly had Katie, but the Goddess finds a way!”

Katie backs up and smiles as the crowd boos. The referee raises her arm as Raab looks up and shakes his head before we cut away.

We open up backstage in the interview area to see Hana Ito standing with Katelyn Buehler. The crowd cheers seeing her.

Hana: “Hana Ito here and I’m with Katelyn Buehler and Katelyn, last week we heard from Marie Jones. It’s put up or shut up time for you this Sunday in the best of five series.”

Katelyn: “That’s one way to put it. Marie and I had history in other promotions and now here in SCW and she’s risen to the occasion. I got that one win to tie it up last time, but now I have to win two in a row to win the series. There are no excuses here. I’ve been pushed here and Marie’s damn good, but I need to be better. I came here to prove that I’m not the same person I was. That I could win titles. Be the role model I know I can be. And take advantage of this second chance. I came back from that knee injury and I’ve been trying to find something, anything to hold onto.”

Katelyn pauses.

Katelyn: “I need this win this Sunday. I need to make sure I don’t just fade into obscurity. I know I’ve got the battle royal after. So does Marie, but if I lose, I’ll admit it, something most of us don’t have the courage too…it messes with you. And I’m done being in that mental space. It’s time for me to prove that this is my house, just as IWC was mine. And Marie…get ready because even though I like you…I’m going to have to KTFO you.”

Hana: “Good luck this Sunday.”

Katelyn: “Thanks.”

Hana: “We’ll be back after this.”

Katelyn heads off as the scene fades to black.

Gothfather vs. Owen Cruze

The arena goes black as the guitar solo for the Godfather tune starts to play, causing the Titan Tron to turn red before in white the name of the Gothfather emerges. From the curtains a dark figure, the Gothfather, emerges as he walks slowly towards the ring, dressed in a mafia suit and gloves on his hands. He slowly walks halfway the entrance way, before stopping and look at the crowd and sneers at them.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a fifteen minute time limit. First, on his way to the ring, from New York City, New York, he is the Gothfather!”

He then turns his attention towards the ring and pulls himself onto the apron. He then looks around before stepping through the ropes. He then looks around before starting to scan the crowd as his music fades out.

Sharper: “Last week on this program Owen Cruze and Aaron Blackbourne came to aid of Josh Woodrum and Gothfather and Bill Barnhart, who developed their own partnership, they found themselves quickly not too popular.”

Knots: “And Owen Cruze is going to have to step up. He could’ve been standing with Gothfather, putting the beats to Woodrum. Now he’s facing Gothfather, a veteran in this business!”

The lights dim and flicker, as a voice booms throughout the arena.

“All I ever wanted was to leave a legacy. Something with which I would be remembered”

The voice is easily recognizable, and an ‘Icon’ chant starts to roll through the arena, as Steven Coopers ‘Born to Do’ kicks in, Owen Cruze stepping nervously out onto the stage.

Phillips: “His opponent, from Los Angeles, California, he is Owen Cruze!”

With a simple nod and a salute, Owen makes his way down the rampway towards the ring. As he makes his way down, he turns to the crowd for a moment before the crowd roars and we see Gothfather running over to Owen and kicking him in the ribs. The crowd boos and Gothfather nails him with a hard right before grabbing Owen and driving him chest first into the barricade. Owen falls back and down to the floor.

Sharper: “Gothfather not waiting!”

Knots: “The hardcore match isn’t until later!”

Sharper: “But Gothfather going right for him. And chest first into the barricade, separating the fans from the action.”

Knots: “I think I saw a Gothfather fan try to distract Owen. We talk about Owen’s fans, but come on, Gothfather, he’s got fans all over the world!”

Sharper: “Stop it.”

The referee in the ring drops down to the floor and tells them to get to the ring and Gothfather grabs Owen and pulls him up before kneeing him in the ribs. He then scoops him up and slams him on the concrete. Owen winces and turns. Gothfather drags him up and tells the referee to get out of his way before running Owen towards the ring, but Gothfather spin at the last moment and kicks Owen in the knee and Owen goes face first into the ring apron. The crowd ohs and Owen falls over and holds his face in pain.

Sharper: “Oh God! Face first into the apron.”

Knots: “That was brilliant. Runs him into it and Gothfather tripped him at the last moment!”

Sharper: “I won’t disagree there, but Owen Cruze could be hurt!”

Knots: “Maybe Gothfather wants Owen’s Taking Hold of the Flame spot?!”

The referee checks Owen and Gothfather grabs him and pulls him up and spins him into the ring. Gothfather rolls in and the referee slides in and stops Gothfather. Gothfather backs up to the corner and holds his hands up. The referee goes over to Owen Cruze who holds his face and winces in pain. He slowly pulls himself up and falls into the ropes. The referee checks on him and he nods and the referee backs up and Owen turns and tells Gothfather to come at him. The bell sounds and Gothfather runs over and kicks Owen in the ribs. Gothfather nails him with a hard right and then whips him across the ring. Owen bounces off and Gothfather then clotheslines him down. He drops down for the pin.

Sharper: “Gothfather going for the arm now.”

Knots: “May as well. Give him a lasting memory!”

Gothfather walks over and spins Owen around and wrenches the arm and blasts him with a hard right. He then whips him across the ring. Owen bounces off and Gothfather nails him in the ribs with a shot before grabbing him by the head and driving him into the mat. He then goes for the pin.

Sharper: “To the top! Owen off the top with the back elbow!”

Knots: “The one thing he has over Gothfather…the quickness!”

Gothfather rolls over and starts to get up and Owen kicks him in the ribs and nails him with a hard right. He then nails him with another kick and then another kick and a third kick. Gothfather grimaces. Owen then grabs him and hits a snap suplex. Owen starts to get up and looks around. Gothfather slowly stirs and starts to get up and Owen runs into the ropes. He bounces off. He starts to set up for the Golden Age, but Owen fights and spins out and kicks him in the ribs and then jumps up and hits a frankensteiner. Owen falls over. We then see Bill Barnhart starting to walk out from the back. The crowd boos and Barnhart heads to the ring. He gets to the ringside area as Owen starts to get up and looks at him and Barnhart smiles before we then see Josh Woodrum walk out from the back. The crowd cheers. Barnhart turns and Gothfather then lunges and goes for the Through the Mouth. Owen ducks and then turns and hits a spin kick to the shins. Gothfather falls over as Woodrum runs at Barnhart and nails him with a hard right. Owen runs into the ropes, bounces off and hits the Cruze Stomp. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “Cruze with the Cruze Stomp. Woodrum and Barnhart, not waiting until later and their hardcore match!”

Knots: “Woodrum throwing right hands!”

Woodrum nails him again and again. Cruze goes for the pin.

The bell sounds.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Owen Cruze!”

Owen rolls off and we see officials jogging down as Barnhart gets a few shots into the ribs and Woodrum nails Barnhart a couple more times before officials get between them. Owen looks at them and then watches Gothfather as he stirs.

Sharper: “Woodrum and Barnhart trading blows, getting broken up. But Owen Cruze, in this chaos, gets the win!”

Knots: “Clearly Woodrum was watching for Barnhart!”

Sharper: “And later tonight, they’ll clash in an underground rules match!”

Woodrum is pulled back. Barnhart tries to get forward before officials pulls him back too. Barnhart and Woodrum yell at each other before we cut away.

We open up backstage as we see David Helms walking down the hallway, heading to his office. He then slows down as we see Regan Street waiting for him.

David: “Now what do I owe for this?”

Regan steps over and kisses him. David steps back.

David: “Probably shouldn’t at work. Already enough people who aren’t sure of this.”

Regan: “Screw em…”

David: “What do you need?”

Regan: “Got a question…Selena…not here? Please tell me its medical.”

David: “I had nothing to do with it. All I know is she’s been given the week off and her status this Sunday is in the air, especially since she’s not scheduled to be here.”

Regan looks down and scoffs a bit.

Regan: “Yeah…sure….and this trios crap. Can you tell me anything there?”

David: “That’s all the board. In fact, there’s a lot I don’t know going into this match. They stopped telling me things a week ago. I checked, they told me that I’m booking the weekly shows and maintaining order.”

Regan: “What? You’re screwing with me?”

David: “I’m in the dark about a few things. Remember, I don’t even have hiring and firing, so this is all just them doing what they can do.”

Regan: “It’s BS. If they hire you to do this, you should get all of it. Nevermind now with D’s kid running around.”

David: “Don’t get me started there.”

Regan: “I can take care of that-“

David: “No…you’re going to stay away from that. You’re going to focus. US title unification. Taking Hold of the Flame. AJ.”

Regan: “Oh don’t worry. Just get me the match-“

David: “And if it’s Jason?”

Regan smirks.

Regan: “I’ll talk some sense into him.”

Regan turns and walks off. David watches her leave.

EARLIER TODAY:

We see Alistaire Allocco walking over to a Sedan parked backstage as we see Cassidy walk around the car.

Sharper: “This was the scene earlier tonight. Ace Marshall arriving.”

Cassidy: “Open the door, jackass!”

Alistaire quickly snaps into action and opens the door and then holds it open before we see Ace Marshall gingerly turn and place his feet down to the concrete. Ace looks up and Alistaire helps him up and Ace grimaces in pain and leans on Alistaire.

Cassidy: “Help him in and then get his bags.”

Alistaire: “How are you-“

Ace: “Just shut up and get me in.”

Alistaire helps Ace and they start to slowly enter the building. Cassidy doesn’t open the door at all and Alistaire stumbles a bit, holding Ace up and opening the door as they then go inside. The door hits Alistaire a few times before Cassidy follows them in and we cut away.

Cassius James vs. Dante McCaffery

This Is America by Childish Gambino begins to play throughout the arena as Cassius James steps out behind the curtain with a black sleeveless hoodie on with solid black trunks and boots. He has a black gloves on his left hand. Cassius James stops at the top of the ramp looks at the crowd to an echo of boos before making his way down to ramp ring completely focused on the ring.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a fifteen minute time limit. First, on his way to the ring, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he is Cassius James!”

He slides into the ring as he stands in the center of the ring before raising his left arm and making a fist with his hand as he points to himself before dropping his arm and moving to his corner of the ring.

Sharper: “Cassius James, if you talk to him, he’s got a very good sense of what he feels he is owed. He’s a driven man and he realizes that may rub some people the wrong way.”

Knots: “He won two weeks ago. Took advantage of the involvement of Andrew Raynes and Dustin Adams. He doesn’t care how he wins. He cares that he wins.”

The opening to "Out of the Black" hits the PA system, drawing boos from the audience. The lights flash with every sound of the drum. Once the bass hits and the song kicks into gear, Dante McCaffery emerges from the curtains with a long black and red fur trenchcoat with another black and white jacket underneath. He immediately mouths off to the crowd and scowls. He has one of the SCW Tag Team titles in his hands. Dante glares at the crowd and shortly after, Ms. Budde and Max Kane walk out. Max; is wearing black overalls with his black "Rock N Roll Unicorn" t-shirt on with one of the SCW Tag Team Championship belts in his hands. He extends his arms to the crowd before he looks right at the camera.

Max: Let me just tell you this now. If you're betting against us to lose these titles at Taking Hold of the Flame, you're going to be be on the streets like a bum. Don't bet against us, alright?

Dante looks around and starts walking down to the ring as Max and Budde follow.

Phillips: “His opponent, accompanied to the ring by Max Kane and Ms. Budde, from Montreal, Quebec, Canada, he is Dante McCaffery!”

Dante walks down to the ring, giving the fans the "shoo" gesture repeatedly. Max, meanwhile, is seen strutting, smirking. Budde just glares at the camera. Dante soon pauses and stares at the audience to his right for a moment. He looks around at the crowd and he says a few things. He then walks close to the camera and then Max walks up to the camera,

Max: I think he's ready to go. I think we're going to see him give maximum effort. Oh boy, this is a treat, Stay tuned.

Max sticks his tongue out before faking a punch to the camera man. Dante tosses his title belt over the top rope and into the ring. He then starts walking up the steel steps before turning around, giving the crowd the chance to boo him some more. Dante soon enters the ring. Max, and Budde remain on the outside. Dante picks up his Tag Team title belt and holds it up high. The crowd boos as McCaffery looks around the crowd. He then slides the title to the outside, where Ms. Budde grabs it and drapes it over her shoulder. From there, Dante goes to the corner, where her and Budde talk while Max is on the outside with the other Tag Team title, talking to a few of the crowd members.

Sharper: “No Dawn Lohan. Just the Network and you see how they are all holding the title. We’re told that it could be Dante in action this Sunday.”

Knots: “That’s up to them. But it’s looking like they don’t really care what Dawn things for their purposes.”

The bell sounds as Dante looks at Cassius. Cassius just smirks as he watches all of them. Dante then starts to move forward and Cassius watches him. The two lunge and grapple in the middle of the ring. They push back on one another and Cassius turns into an arm wrench. He then nails him with a hard right and kicks him in the ribs. He then turns and runs him over into the corenr and turns him around. Cassius nails him with a hard right and then a left before another right. He then pulls him out and whips him across the ring. He runs after him and Dante gets an elbow up. Cassius staggers back. As he does, we see Dawn Lohan starting to make her way out from the back. Dante runs out and kicks him in the ribs. He elbows him in the back of the head and Cassius falls to the mat.

Sharper: “Dante catching Cassius coming in and now Dawn Lohan coming out.”

Knots: “Out of support or some other reason?”

Cassius stirs and Dante grabs him and pulls him up and nails him with a forearm shiver. Cassius staggers back. Dante nails him with a kick to the ribs. He then pushes him into the ropes and whips him across. Cassius bounces off and Dante hits a clothesline. He goes for the pin.

Cassius kicks out. We then cut to see Max Kane and Dawn Lohan talking at ringside.

Dawn: “Just out here to see what the Network way is.”

Kane: “Look, no need to get snippy. Just out here for support.”

Dawn: “For now?”

We cut back to the ring as Dante drags Cassius up and hooks him up and hits a vertical suplex. He then gets up and hits an elbow drop. He gets up and hits another elbow drop before going for a blatant choke.

Dante pulls away and Cassius rolls over. Dante looks up and looks around. He then turns and grabs Cassius and pulls him up. Cassius however nails him with a hard right to the ribs. The crowd roars a bit. He nails him with another shot. The crowd roars. He then gets up and runs into the ropes, but Dante hits a big boot and Cassius falls back and through the ropes to the floor, landing a few feet away from The Network. Dawn then steps forward and spins around and looks at Max and Ms. Budde. Budde tries to get past, but Dawn stops her. Dante just snarls in the ring.

Sharper: “Dawn’s stopping them from trying anything.”

Knots: “Cassius on the floor, and Dawn just stopping them.”

Dawn: “You want to prove something…prove that you can get it done without the group attacks? Or maybe you’re all not that good and I’m the only reason those titles are still here.”

Kane chuckles and turns to Budde.

Kane: “I like her.”

Cassius starts to get up and turns to the ring as Dante reaches through, but Cassius blasts him with a hard right. Dante falls back. Cassius slides in. Dante gets up and he goes for a hard right, but Cassius grabs his arm and turns him into a hammerlock. He then pushes him forward before hitting a snap hammerlock back suplex. Dante rolls over in pain. Cassius gets up and Dante slowly pulls himself up and turns around to Cassius who grabs him and hits a side belly to belly suplex. He hooks the leg.

Dante pushes him off. Cassius looks up and rolls over. He starts to get up. Dante pulls himself up and Cassius kicks him in the ribs. He then whips him into the ropes. He then turns and throws him onto the middle rope. Dante turns and kicks him in the ribs. He backs up and moves to the middle of the ring. Kane feigns lunging to the ring, but Dawn stops him and Kane backs up and jogs back, chuckling. Budde just gets in Dawn’s face. Dante then rolls his eyes and runs into the ropes across the ring, bounces off and runs at Cassius. Cassius suddenly spins around and grabs Dante and catches him before hoisting him up and hitting a northern lights suplex into a bridge.

Dante kicks out and rolls over.

Sharper: “Cassius James caught Dante! Dawn is keeping the Network honest. Kane seems to be having fun with her, but Budde is almost just watching.”

Knots: “There’s going to be some interesting discussions later in the night for the Network I think.”

Dawn just backs up and continues to remain at ringside as Budde turns to Kane, and, quite annoyed, talks to him. Cassius turns and grabs Dante and whips him into the corner. He runs after and Dante gets a boot up. He then steps out and goes for a Russian leg sweep. He then takes him back and rolls through.

Cassius kicks out. Both get up and Dante grabs Cassius and rakes his eyes. He then moves him into the corner. He then nails him with a hard right and then another. The referee warns Dante and he turns back. Cassius then suddenly spins around Dante and hits a snap German suplex. Dante rolls through. He starts to get up and Cassius steps forward and takes him down with a double leg takedown. He pulls up on the leg and starts to turn him over. The crowd roars.

Sharper: “Cassius James takes down Dante and he’s trying to turn him over.”

Knots: “Dante’s in trouble!”

He then grabs his leg and starts to turn him over. Cassius plants his feet and then stomps Dante in the back of the head and then again, while locking in a single leg crab. The crowd roars as Dante struggles a bit and the referee checks on him. Cassius stomps him again and again and then a fifth time before Dante starts to tap out. The crowd roars. The bell sounds. Cassius keeps the hold on for a moment again as he gets another two stomps in. Max and Budde immediately go to the ring, passing Dawn. Kane slides in as Budde does too. Cassius lets go and backs up and holds his arms up. The referee raises his arm and he then drops down to the floor.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via submission, Cassius James!”

Budde watches him as Cassius just starts to walk around the ring. Kane turns to Dawn.

Kane: “Good enough for ya?”

Dawn just looks on from the floor. Cassius James walks past her and glances at her. Dawn watches him too before turning to the ring as Budde keeps watching Cassius. Kane looks around.

Sharper: “Budde and Kane didn’t get involved, but Cassius James took a few liberties on Dante at the end too.”

Knots: “So is Dawn happy with that? Not? Cassius sure is. Walked away with his second win!”

Cassius continues on his way to the back before we cut away.

COMMERCIALS

Backstage we see Jason Helms walking away from the catering area, drinking from a water bottle. From the other direction, an obviously angry Bree Mason walks right up to him and gets in his way, glaring.

Bree: “You! Do you have any idea the trouble your stupid video caused?”

Jason lowers the water bottle, and screws the lid back on as he eyes Bree with disdain.

Jason: “You mean the one from two weeks ago that literally everyone but you has forgotten about?”

Bree: “If ONLY it was forgotten about! Your pettiness created a defamatory internet article that was a top story on that damn site for a week! And both your half-brother and I are getting heat over it!”

Jason lays his hand over his chest in mock sympathy.

Jason: “Oh... I'm sorry... I'll immediately go record and post a retraction... oh wait. Why would I do that, nothing I said was false! Maybe you shouldn't be so quick to throw stones, sweetheart. That same site wrote up some garbage about me and Amy too, do you see us whining? Grow up!”

Jason shakes his head and starts to walk away. Bree sidesteps and gets in his way again.

Bree: “Oh no, you're not just walking away! All of this is your fault, and-”

Jason: “Oh? So I sent a PI after you to take pictures on private property? Get out of my face, Bree.”

Bree scowls as Jason walks off.

Bree: “What an asshole.”

We then cut to ringside.

Knots: “Video? Web site article?”

Sharper: “Sounds like some people need to do some review. Jason Helms has an incriminating video?!”

Knots: “I didn’t even know about it and I run in that circle. I’m the one that gives them their street cred.”

Sharper: “Give me a break.”

Knots: “Hold on…let me do some searching-“

Sharper: “We’re live Jon!”

Knots: “Yeah and I missed an incriminating article on Bree! Who know spending that much time with Kennie had a downside….oh well…I’ll find it! I promise you! “

The scene cuts to the ring.

Jessica: “Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome at this time, SCW Hall of Famer, CHBK, and Ravyn Taylor!”

The crowd boos. Darkness engulfs the arena as we hear the eerie sound of something tapping against glass. After a few moments there comes a whisper in the sound of a woman’s voice of one short, iconic word – “NEVERMORE”. With that we hear the opening from “Open Your Eyes” by Guano Apes.

“Hide your face forever
Dream and search forever-ever-ever-ever”

The song gets stuck on the word, and is then interrupted by the deep sound of the voice of Marilyn Manson.

“Just lay your head in daddy’s lap
You’re a bad girl!”

The lights come up as we see Ravyn Taylor and CHBK walking out from the back. The crowd boos some ore as they look around. CHBK smirks a bit as Ravyn plays to the crowd a bit. They then start to make their way down to the ring.

Sharper: “We saw Ravyn Taylor try to do all she could to mess with everyone in that fatal four way main event. She then took Selena Frost down with the Evolutionary Synthesis, before-“

Knots: “Can we talk about it? We’ve been told not to and if you want to get fired, I just want to make sure I get to call the whole show myself. My back is getting tired!”

Sharper: “Stop it, Jon. It happened. We saw the boss’ youngest daughter, Katya, come out. No one knows what happened except that Ravyn Taylor and CHBK left the arena even without Syren. Left immediately.”

They head to the ring and reach it. CHBK walks up the steel steps and steps into the ring. Ravyn Taylor walks along the apron and wipes her feet before stepping in. She then walks across the ring, past Jessica Winters as CHBK stands next to Jessica. Ravyn walks around the ring as Jessica turns to CHBK as the music fades.

Jessica: “CHBK, Ravyn…there’s a lot for us to talk about with you. Seems like the two of you had some fun at the expense of your opponents, including Christy Matthews. Although Christy managed to get her hands on you CHBK.”

CHBK: “Well you can chuckle about that, but even a blind squirrel finds a nut, but let’s face it, that’s not what you’re out here to talk to us about.”

Jessica: “It’s what I’ve been assigned-“

Ravyn walks over.

Ravyn: “Assigned? That’s all well and good, but since when did we just follow the guidelines.”

CHBK: “Maybe they want us to talk about how Selena Frost isn’t here and maybe it’s all because you drove your knees into her face and her belief didn’t stop her.”

Ravyn grabs the microphone pulling it over to her.

Ravyn: “That can’t be it! Then again, I guess we still have unfinished business…oh no…Don’t worry, we’ll just wait eighteen months to resolve this problem too?”

Ravyn smirks. Jessica pulls the microphone back.

Jessica: “We are here to discuss Taking Hold of the Flame where you, Ravyn Taylor, will be one of the forty and perhaps with Syren as number forty, are we going to cut through the perception and realize that you will likely be helping her to get that rematch? Or are we going to get a repeat of a few years ago if the opportunity presents itself?”

Ravyn smirks as CHBK chuckles a bit.

Ravyn: “I’d be more concerned with El Angel del Cielo coming back. After what that one did to make sure she could get the opportunity, I figure there could be some hard feelings. Then again, could be from the other two. I’m not sure anymore. Syren tried to talk them down and Alex did the rest, but it’s …it’s a shame.”

Jessica: “Could you please answer the question?”

CHBK: “But we are, Jessica.”

Ravyn: “Do you really think we’re going to reveal anything about this Sunday? More importantly, there’s the elephant in the room I’m sure you have been told not to address and that’s that we received a certain visitor last week. Completely took me by surprise and I’m always intrigued by those moments.”

Ravyn stops talking and Jessica looks at both. She shakes her head, saying something off-microphone. Ravyn grabs the microphone again.

Ravyn: “Come on…ask what you want. Don’t you want to know why Katya, the boss’ daughter came to Alex and I?”

The crowd boos a bit, while some roar. CHBK then just asks for the microphone. Jessica reluctantly gives it to him.

CHBK: “That’s fine, Jessica, because we understand that there are probably a lot of people unsure of what that all meant. I mean the last time we saw Katya on SCW programming, Ravyn was engaged in a bet with Ace Marshall and they were liplocked in a bar.”

The crowd roars as Ravyn smirks.

CHBK: “But I’ve also known the family for years. Do I need to remind you when Sasha asked me to help her in setting this company right…when Dark Fantasy came in for the first time. So many connections. I mean…could it be that she wanted to come to me…or to Ravyn…and to fly all the way from Toronto to Louisville. Not exactly known for its tourist season.”

Sharper: “They’re just taunting us.”

CHBK: “Well don’t worry. You won’t need to get into trouble because we have nothing to reveal. Nothing willingly. And let people make whatever connections they want. Because for us, it just makes this Sunday that much more interesting.”

CHBK then goes to hand the microphone back before Ravyn stops him. CHBK nods and smiles.

CHBK: “Sorry, Ravyn reminded me…a function of getting older.”

CHBK then reaches into his pants pocket and pulls out a luchadore mask, looking very similar to that of El Angel del Cielo. He then hands it to Jessica.

CHBK: “Here…maybe you could be her for all we know? Amazing what we can find on Ebay these days.”

Ravyn smirks as “Bad, Bad Girl” starts to play again. CHBK hands the microphone back to Jessica Winters. He turns and walks off as Ravyn smiles and CHBK steps through the ropes. He then extends his hand and Ravyn uses it to get out of the ring before the two start to head to the back.

Knots: “I sincerely hope everyone in that battle royal makes sure Dark Fantasy don’t walk away winners.”

Sharper: “They don’t know what number Ravyn will have. But with CHBK around, with this latest wrinkle, I don’t know what to expect. We don’t even know why Katya was here and CHBK even playing off that!”

Knots: “Ravyn knows just how powerful that could be. I don’t like this at all!”

CHBK and Ravyn continue to head to the back, both smiling, proud of themselves. The cameras follow them to the back as we cut away.

COMMERCIALS

We return backstage to see CHBK and Ravyn Taylor walking over to Syren who is standing outside of the Dark Fantasy locker room.

Syren: “See! I told you anyone could be have been El Angel.”

Ravyn chuckles.

Syren: “So anything more on this stuff with her?”

CHBK: “Don’t worry about Katya. We’ll take care of it.”

Syren: “Given you’re leaving me in the dark a bit.”

Ravyn: “That’s more to protect you. We don’t know what we’re getting into fully and that’s….interesting.”

CHBK: “Just focus on this Sunday. We can get you back where you should be.”

Syren: “Oh I’m going to be ready. I dare anyone to try and stop me.”

Syren steps into her locker room with Ravyn and CHBK following. The crowd boos as we cut away.

Aaron Blackbourne in action

As we cut back to the ring, we see it’s currently being occupied by a man with a bright red mohawk and black leather pants as well as plenty of tattoos who’s just staring towards the stage with a sneer.

Phillips: "The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, already in the ring… JACK TAYLOR!”

The man barely reacts to his name being announced or the lack of a reaction he receives from the fans. All of a sudden, the lights go out, prompting a surprised pop from the fans. The tune of “The Nexus” by Amaranthe begins as a distorted speech that can barely be made out plays amidst the beat, but it’s not long before the song kicks into full gear, and when it does red and white lights begin pulsing on the stage as we see that smoke has begun to engulf it. When the lyrics kick in, the Tron comes to life with clips of Aaron Blackbourne in action, both as himself and as his various demon incarnations. When the song hits the chorus, pyro suddenly goes off on the stage in sync with the creative soul himself suddenly shooting up through the smoke and standing tall on the stage, arms raised and outstretched as the fans erupt into cheers. The lights start to come back on, albeit dimmed, as Blackbourne stands there for a moment, surverying the crowd. After a moment, Owen Cruze walks out from the back, having thrown a t-shirt on over his wrestling gear as he stands beside Aaron and has a brief conversation with him before the two men begin making their way down to the ring, happily accepting high fives from the fans.

Phillips: “His opponent, being accompanied to the ring by Owen Cruze; from Seattle, Washington and weighing in at 175 pounds… AARON BLACKBOURNE!”

As the two men reach ringside Aaron suddenly leaps onto the apron and quickly climbs so that he’s got one foot on the top turnbuckle, and in tune with the chorus kicking in a second time he briefly crosses his arms across his chest before throwing them out in the same raised and outstretched pose as before, white spotlights suddenly coming on and converging on him as he closes his eyes and basks in this moment. When the chorus ends, Blackbourne leaps from the top into the ring, removing his black jacket and setting it into his corner before he begins doing some light warm-ups for the match ahead. Owen’s got his attention primarily turned towards the stage, remaining vigilant.

Sharper: “It’s interesting that Owen came out here with Aaron for this contest, but considering all the problems these two have been having with the Gothfather over the past number of weeks that don’t seem to be over quite yet even after earlier tonight, I don’t blame them for wanting to play it safe.”

Knots: “As much as this Jack Taylor guy’s trying way too hard to look threatening, he could prove to actually be just that if that ever-creative mind of Aaron’s is elsewhere tonight.”

The referee signals for the bell and the two men lock up. Taylor uses the size advantage he possesses to push Blackbourne back into the ropes before irish whipping him across the ring. Blackbourne rebounds and Taylor ducks down for a back body drop, but Blackbourne backflips along the man’s back to avoid it. The moment Taylor rises to try and regain control, he’s caught from behind and dropped with a sleeper slam! The fans are cheering as Blackbourne backs off when Taylor starts to rise, determined to make this SCW opportunity he’s been given into a fruitful one, but once he’s back on his feet he eats a dropkick. Taylor scrambles to his feet once more, but this time he’s caught with a step-up enzuigiri that sends him rolling over to the ropes. Blackbourne doesn’t pursue though, instead looking towards the back for a moment.

Sharper: “A strong start so far for Blackbourne, but there you see that concern.”

Knots: “I wouldn’t put it past Goth to try something right now, but the mere thought that he could is doing a good enough job of keeping Aaron distracted it seems.”

Aaron’s attention turns to Owen as he mouths that he’s got lookout duties covered, and Blackbourne’s attention returns to the match at hand. That wasted time, however, costs him as he starts trying to pick Taylor up, only to get caught with an uppercut! Aaron stumbles back before Taylor charges ahead and takes him down with a clothesline. Owen keeps his attention on the ring in concern as Taylor starts clubbing away at Blackbourne’s back as he tries to rise. He goes to irish whip him, but Blackbourne twists through before pulling Taylor into a discus elbow smash! This gets the fans cheering as Taylor stumbles back against the ropes in a daze, desperately using them to stay upright. Aaron glances towards the backstage area again for a moment before Taylor’s recovered enough to try and move in, but he ends up getting caught with an exploder suplex! Instead of going for the cover, though, Blackbourne again looks towards the back.

Sharper: “Blackbourne lost control there for a moment, and if he’s not careful he could lose it again. This young man Jack Taylor came to fight tonight.”

Knots: “And I think Aaron came here just looking to build some momentum for Sunday, but he clearly can’t focus!”

Owen’s attention returns to the stage, and Aaron starts to relax a bit to return his focus to where it needs to be. Taylor slowly gets up to his knees, and this is when he’s peppered with a hard shoot kick to the chest! Aaron throws several more kicks, the fans cheering along with each one, before he backs off briefly to finally land one to the head that puts Taylor down! Blackbourne rolls him over and makes the cover.

1…

2…

Taylor barely gets a shoulder up! Blackbourne pulls the man to his feet and lifts him onto his shoulders for a fireman’s carry as Own turns back to the ring to see the move, but before Aaron can Pull the Trigger he turns his own attention back towards the stage, and the delay costs him as Taylor manages to squirm free and land behind Blackbourne before rolling him up!

1…

Blackbourne quickly kicks out! The momentum sends Taylor stumbling into the corner, and when he turns around to regain momentum Blackbourne’s already rolled to his feet and delivers a huge running front dropkick that knocks him into a seated position against the turnbuckles! Going full speed, Blackbourne runs and bounces off the opposite corner before landing the double knees to finish the Creative Process! The fans are cheering him on as he motions for Taylor to get to his feet, Owen looking back towards the stage just in case. When Taylor slowly and groggily gets up again, he’s nailed with the Unchained Creativity! Blackbourne makes the academic cover.

3!

The bell rings as “The Nexus” by Amaranthe hits again and the referee raises Blackbourne’s arm. Cruze slides into the ring as well and the two men high-five and shake hands, but keep their focus on the backstage area.

Sharper: “It might’ve been a little rockier than he’d have liked, but Blackbourne gains some momentum heading into the battle royal this Sunday.”

Knots: “The only upside for him is that both Bill Barnhart and Gothfather are also in the match as well as Owen, so hopefully he won’t be as distracted then as he seemed to be tonight.”

We cut backstage to see Hana Ito standing backstage at the interview area to see AJ Helms standing next to her. Regan Street and Mikaela Street are with him in the background.

Hana: “I am Hana Ito and I’m here with AJ Helms and AJ, in a few moments, you’ll be facing Thirteen in singles action, but this will also be the first time you’re competing with your adopted mother, Regan Street, and her sister in your corner-“

AJ: “And that means what? They’re going to help me? They’re going to get involved? They’re going to make this hard for Thirteen? I’m sorry, but I’m not going to stand here and talk about how aw shucks, I should leave them backstage, because I’m going to go out there and fight the good fight and do my best and all will be good in the end. That’s not how things work and let’s face it. Everything there brought me to this place. They’re going to be in my corner. And they’re going to watch as I take on another judgmental prick who is going to think he knows me and that I know better or some crap like that. I don’t care. I’m going out there to win. Period.”

AJ pauses.

AJ: “I’m sick of being overlooked. I’m sick of people judging me for not just falling into line. Has Regan done some crappy things, sure. Have I, definitely. We all have. Thirteen included. It’s rich that he’s playing judge and jury these days. Too bad, I don’t care. I care about winning and I’m going to go out there and do just that. So have any other condescending questions?”

Hana: “Nope.”

AJ: “Good.”

AJ turns and walks off. Regan just smiles.

Regan: “Thanks D.”

Regan walks off with Mikaela following.

Sharper: “AJ Helms will face Thirteen, next, here on Breakdown!”

The scene fades to black.

Thirteen vs. AJ Helms

The lights in the arena cut completely and silence fills the room for a moment before “Rise Up” by Asking Alexandria blasts over the speaker system and the crash of the first drumbeat triggers a single spotlight on the stage. In the spotlight, we see AJ Helms standing with his back to the fans, the hood of his sleeveless jacket up over his head. In one fluid motion he spins around and stoops for a minute before throwing the hood back and his arms up in the Self High Five. He holds the pose for a second before jumping and breaking the hands apart, single pyros erupting with a ‘Bang’ on either side of the stage, which trigger the house lights to raise again as AJ smirks and starts to make his way to the ring. We see Regan Street, holding the SCW US Championship, and Mikaela Street walking out behind him.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for one fall with a twenty minute time limit. First, accompanied by Regan Street and Mikaela Street, from Asbury Park, New Jersey, now fighting out of Hollywood, California, he is AJ Helms!”

Reaching the bottom of the ramp, AJ gives a burst of speed and runs to the ring, jumping up and sliding in leg first before popping back up and running to the corner where he scales the turnbuckles and throws his arms into another Self High Five. Regan smiles as Mikaela looks on as they start to circle the ring. AJ pushes back as he breaks the hands apart and turns to land facing the middle of the ring again. Walking over to the ropes, he leans into the camera at ringside and mouths the word “BANG” into it before removing his jacket and handing it off to the outside. Turning, he settles back into the corner and waits for the start of the match. Regan and Mikaela settle in his corner and Regan and AJ start to chat a bit.

Sharper: “AJ Helms out here with Regan Street and Mikaela Street. I almost want to say I’m disappointed-“

Knots: “What? He’s with his family.”

Sharper: “I get that Jon. But he had an opportunity to really make it on his own and he’s with Regan and PPF, but I don’t know if that’s the best for him.”

The lights in the arena go out, prompting a small surprised pop from the fans. After a few moments, the heavy beats of "The Vengeful One" by Disturbed kick in as deep purple lighting and smoke begin to engulf the stage. On the tron we see a series of clips playing that can best be summarized as a depiction of chaos playing out in the world, all of them having a figure in a tattered black hooded cloak adorned with chains conveniently walking through them. When the lyrics kick in, we see this same figure slowly walk out through the smoke as he gazes out from under his hood at all the fans buzzing in anticipation, almost as though he's judging each and every one of them. Finally, when the song hits the chorus, the figure drops to his knees and whips his head back, throwing off the hood as he extends his arms in a familiar pose of being extended with his palms facing towards the ring, the motion causing an explosion of fire to his sides that continue to burst from the stage in tune with the music as the fans cheer at the sight of Thirteen.

Phillips: “His opponent, from Chicago, Illinois, he is Thirteen!”

Slowly he rises to his feet and begins his march to the ring, listening to the fans cheering him on but keeping his focus on the task at hand. He leaps up onto the apron and steps between the ropes quickly before going to the center of the ring where he slowly runs his thumb across his throat before giving a thumbs down, giving a malicious smile as he does so. He proceeds to start removing his cloak as he awaits the start of the impending match. He glances at Regan as AJ Helms stretches out a bit.

Sharper: “You wonder what Thirteen is thinking.”

Knots: “Probably that he’s going to have to make sure he doesn’t screw up. He’s judging Blake Mason. Probably Regan. Probably AJ. I get that he cleared Kennedy, but I’m still not fully sold on him.”

The bell sounds as Thirteen looks at AJ. AJ and him circle the ring a bit. They lunge and grapple, locking up in a collar and elbow tie-up. They push back on one another and AJ turns into a side headlock. He pulls back and Thirteen pulls him into the ropes. He then fires him off. AJ bounces off and bounces off the other side and Thirteen grabs him and lifts him up. AJ spins around and lands behind him. Thirteen turns and AJ jumps up and hits a huge dropkick right in the jaw. The crowd ohs and AJ goes for the pin.

Thirteen kicks out. AJ gets up and backs up and smiles a bit. Regan applauds as the crowd boos as Thirteen rolls over and grabs at the ropes and looks at AJ. AJ tells him to come at him. Thirteen smirks a bit. AJ then turns and walks over to him and Thirteen nails him in the ribs with a hard right and then nails him with another hard right before grabbing him and spinning through with a hip toss. AJ hits the mat and backs up to the ropes. Regan hops onto the apron. Thirteen smirks and backs up.

Sharper: “Big hip toss and AJ showing some attitude before Thirteen maybe set him straight!”

Knots: “Regan’s even hot about that! Showing up her adopted son!”

Sharper: “Maybe she should be more concerned about AJ’s attitude.”

Regan Street hops down as AJ gets up and lunges at Thirteen and Thirteen ducks and grabs AJ from behind and hoists him up and hits a huge back suplex. The crowd cheers. AJ rolls over and reaches for the ropes. Thirteen drags him away from the ropes and AJ kicks him in the face. Thirteen staggers back. AJ nips up and lunges and nails him with a hard right and then a chop. The crowd woos. He then grabs Thirteen and whips him across the ring. AJ runs after him and Thirteen gets an elbow up. AJ staggers back. Thirteen runs out and goes for a clothesline. AJ ducks and Thirteen stops. He turns around and AJ hits a frankensteiner. He goes for the pin after.

Thirteen kicks out. Both get up and AJ hits another dropkick, knocking him down. He then turns and exits to the apron. He climbs up to the top rope as Regan cheers him on.

Sharper: “AJ going to the top rope.”

Knots: “And Regan’s cheering him on. Some good family support. It’s all together. Not trying to be ripped apart by someone. Even if he has done some good, D was wrong there.”

Sharper: “Deserving a piledriver? And AJ implicitly is supporting that!”

Knots: “He’s not! He’s just supporting family!”

AJ gets to the top rope and looks at Thirteen and dives off with an elbow drop attempt, but Thirteen rolls out of the way. AJ hits the mat and rolls through. He winces and stirs. Thirteen gets up and grabs AJ from behind. He then hooks him up with a waistlock before throwing him back with a huge German suplex, causing AJ to flip through to his stomach. The crowd ohs and Thirteen goes for the pin and hooks the leg.

AJ kicks out. Thirteen looks up and AJ turns. He starts to get up and Thirteen then hooks him up and hits a fisherman’s suplex into a bridge.

AJ kicks out. He turns and Thirteen turns and waits for him to get up and grabs him with a waistlock again for a belly to belly, but AJ nails him with a shot and then another. He then pushes him forward before turning to the ropes, jumping to the top rope and diving back with a diving forearm shot to the jaw. Thirteen hits the mat. The crowd gives him a mixed reaction as AJ gets back up.

Sharper: “Forearm to the jaw. Springboard and AJ showing how quickly he can get off the top.”

Knots: “Caught Thirteen under the jaw too. May be out.”

AJ gets up and looks at Thirteen before walking over and hitting a leg drop. He rolls over and looks at Thirteen before hitting a second leg drop. The crowd boos a bit as Regan smiles and AJ hits a third leg drop and goes for the pin.

Thirteen kicks out. AJ looks up and then grabs Thirteen. He starts to pull him up and then knees him in the ribs. He whips him into the corner. He then walks over and Thirteen kicks him in the ribs. AJ nails him with a hard right. Thirteen kicks him again. He then goes for a hard right, but Thirteen blocks it and nails him with a shot. AJ goes for another hard right, but Thirteen blocks it and nails him with another shot. AJ attempts another shot, but Thirteen ducks and spins around him and hits a German suplex into a bridge.

AJ gets his shoulder up and rolls over as Thirteen lets go.

Sharper: “Another German and that one nearly got AJ!”

Knots: “Nearly, but that doesn’t count!”

AJ turns and starts to get up and Thirteen grabs him and kicks him in the ribs. He then hooks him up, but AJ struggles and gets free and spins out and jumps up and hits an enziguri kick to the side of the head. Thirteen falls to a knee. AJ gets up and then turns and slingshots to the apron and then springboards to the top rope and hits a diving forearm to Thirteen, knocking him down. He rolls over and gets up before going to the apron and then climbing up to the top rope. He looks around and goes for the GFAP, but Thirteen rolls out of the way. AJ hits the mat. He turns and stirs and slowly gets up and Thirteen grabs him from behind and goes for the Last Breath. He locks it in and the crowd cheers.

Sharper: “Thirteen has that rear naked choke on. The Last Breath!”

Knots: “AJ! Get to the ropes!”

Thirteen spins AJ around and tries to take him down at the legs, but Regan rolls into the ring and lunges and nails Thirteen in the back of the head with the US Championship. The crowd ohs and boos as Thirteen lets go and falls over. Regan then walks around the ring. She shakes her head and AJ looks down, catching his breath. The bell sounds.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via disqualification, Thirteen!”

Thirteen slowly starts to get up and AJ starts to pull himself up and Regan starts to square Thirteen up, holding the US Title. The referee tries to stop her, but she shoves him back. Thirteen turns, but just then, he’s spun around and AJ grabs him and DDTs him into the mat. The crowd boos. Regan just smiles. AJ then starts to get up.

Sharper: “If there was any doubt.”

Knots: “AJ Helms is going to take what he wants. He said it before and he just left Thirteen laying. Who cares if it was with Regan Street’s help? He did it.”

Sharper: “And most importantly, he’s okay with it.”

Regan then raises AJ’s arm as the referee tells them he didn’t win. Regan snaps at the official as AJ looks around and then hears the boos as they then exit the ring. Thirteen slowly stirs as AJ, Regan and Mikaela head to the back. Regan beams, proud of her adopted son, as AJ Helms looks back and looks at Thirteen as Thirteen just looks at him.

The Breakdown logo comes up on the screen.

Voice: “Still to come on Breakdown from Kansas City…”

We then see a shot of Ikiro Yoshida hitting Beard with the KARAOKE Kick, before showing Sophie O’Brian pinning both Alexis Quinne and Maddy Steward.

Voice: “The Television Championship will be on the line. Ikiro Yoshida defends against Sophie O’Brian. And…”

We then see Donovan Kayl walking out from the back before showing Justin Davis looking around the arena while standing in the ring.

Voice: “Justin Davis faces Donovan Kayl. All that and more, when Breakdown continues!”

The Breakdown logo comes across the screen before fading to black.

COMMERCIALS

We return to the SCW Studios in Toronto to see Spirit Dansby and Shawn Winters behind the desk. We see the Taking Hold of the Flame logo on the screen behind them. The camera focuses on that logo.

Spirit: “In the background of everything that is taking place tonight on Breakdown, we have the bigger story that Taking Hold of the Flame is this Sunday, live on pay per view.”

Winters: “It’s not just that Spirit. This is the time of year where everyone starts to just get a bit more intense. In two months, we’re going to Toronto, Ontario, to the Rogers Centre and we’re going to be at Rise to Greatness XV. The biggest show of the year and arguably the biggest show in SCW history. And we’re going to have a pretty good sense of what the main event of that show will be out of this weekend.”

Spirit: “It will be a weekend of some big stories and lot of context. And a lot of personal connections.”

The Taking Hold of the Flame logo comes up on the screen. We then see stills of each of the matches come up as “Whatever It Takes” by Imagine Dragons starts to play in the background.

Donovan Kayl vs. Kennedy Street

SCW World Championship

Spirit: “And one of those matches involves the SCW World Championship.”

Winters: “Personal connections. Strategic considerations. Kennedy and Donovan know each other well. A student-teacher relationship, add a family tie. This is big there. But Donovan made it clear; this was to also keep Dark Fantasy away and force them to need to win the battle royal to get Syren back there sooner rather than later. On top of that, Kayl has looked as good as we’ve seen him. We’ll see later tonight. But he’s a big threat for Kennedy.”

Spirit: “And Kennedy Street has been on her back foot a lot, defending herself before focusing on defending the title with Bree. This is a unique situation for her. It’s personal, but not out of hatred or negativity. She gets to face her mentor in a match with high stake.s”

Winters: “Winner could be defending the World Title against the battle royal winner and maybe even Selena Frost. She said she’s going to cash in the Trios contract!”

Jason Helms vs. Ikiro Yoshida

Interim SCW United States Championship

Spirit: “Personal takes on a different method here and with a different Street. Jason Helms faces Ikiro Yoshida for the interim US Championship. Winner could face Regan Street soon after to unify the US Titles.

Winters: “And what happens there? That’s a big what-if, but one playing in the minds of David Helms, SCW brass and many others should Jason Helms win. Would Regan Street unify the titles against Jason? Does last week mean anything? But not just that, Ikiro Yoshida and Regan Street have a history too and Regan may want to face Ikiro just to snuff that fire out.”

Spirit: “The issue there may be that Ikiro Yoshida is wrestling amazing. Much like Donovan Kayl, but even more so in the last two months. Ikiro Yoshida may be someone I don’t want to run into.”

Winters: “Either way, Regan wants the unification match. We have to get through this one. Two very interesting figures for the interim US Title.”

Sophie James & David Callahan vs. Max Kane & Dawn Lohan

SCW World Tag Team Championship

Spirit: “Dawn Lohan may need to look over her own shoulder to her own partner. Dante McCaffery laid it out. The Network has their plan. Dawn can go back to sitting at home. They have to get through Sophie James and David Callahan at Taking Hold of the Flame though to leave as champions.”

Winters: “Sophie and David getting the shot after the Tag Team Turmoil at Unflawed. But the story may be with the champions. Dawn Lohan coming back to help the Network get the titles. They have their own ideas and Dawn may need to question herself. Add Har Megiddo in the background. I’m looking forward to this.”

Katelyn Buehler vs. Marie Jones

Match Four of the Best of Five Series

Spirit: “Match four – Katelyn Buehler needs to win to push the series to a fifth match against Marie Jones.”

Winters: “The series between two people wanting to break into that upper level in SCW. They’ve been tearing the house down. But only one can win. Marie has the inside edge and what would it mean for her to win this.”

Spirit: “But what about Katelyn Buehler? She was synonymous with other promotions. She’s always wanted to make it big here though. She’s had moments where she was about to get there. Can she break through here finally?”

Winters: “Two nicer people, you can’t find them. But nice isn’t enough. They need to win. If Katelyn wins, we get a match five. If not, Katelyn could be entering Rise to Greatness season questioning a lot.”

Amy Chastaine vs. Bree Mason

No Disqualifications

Spirit: “And then more personal matters. No disqualifications. Amy Chastaine wanted this match. Bree gave it to her on one condition, that stipulation.”

Winters: “And it’s all because Bree wanted to drag Amy’s reputation through the mud. She’s got an open marriage. It’s 2018!”

Spirit: “Amy is also a role model and some people may not care for that. Try explaining that!”

Winters: “Who cares? Explain it for what it is. She loves multiple people and they’re all fine with it and happy. And what’s going to make someone happy is when they stand over the other victorious. First time these two face ever in singles action and it’s with all of this in the background. It’s going to be great!”

40 Person Taking Hold of the Flame Battle Royal

Spirit: “And then the match that makes history every time. Forty individuals. Winner gets a World Championship opportunity at Rise to Greatness.”

Winters: “Let’s list some of the names: Syren is number forty, Ravyn Taylor, Bree Mason, Sienna Swann, Xander Valentine, Regan Street, Quinne, Blake Mason, Hudson, Davis, Giovanni Aries, we can go on and on. But this may be one of the most stacked battle royals in history.”

Spirit: “Syren has the inside track at number forty. We’re still wondering if anything came for Sienna Swann. We also don’t know who will start it. There are always surprises too.”

Winters: “And anything can happen. I’ve won it by coming in last, but we’ve seen people go the distance a few times. This is one of the hardest matches to prepare for and one of the hardest to just survive in. So many variables. You can get caught from behind.”

Spirit: “But they’ll fight to earn that shot. World Title opportunity at Rise to Greatness XV.”

The Taking Hold of the Flame logo comes up on the screen.

Spirit: “It’s the start of SCW Rise to Greatness season. Taking Hold of the Flame, this Sunday, live on pay per view, from St. Louis, Missouri. It’ll be huge.”

The logo remains on the screen for a few moments before we cut to a shot of Spirit Dansby and Shawn Winters in the studio again.

Spirit: “And plenty more to come tonight. Ikiro Yoshida will defend his TV Championship against Sophie O’Brian. Donovan Kayl faces Justin Davis. And who knows what else as Breakdown continues from Kansas City!”

The camera pans out and the scene slowly fades to black.

COMMERCIALS

We return to the inside of the Sprint Center and the cameras around the arena. A countdown starts on the big screen in fast progression from five to one before "Adrenalize" hits the speakers and the spotlights start to spin and focus in on the stage.

Sharper: “Welcome back to Kansas City. We are here just days away from Taking Hold of the Flame and Ace Marshall is about to join us.”

Knots: “Looking forward to this.”

We then cut to the stage as we see Cassidy Carter walking out from the back and then glancing back before we see Alistaire Allocco holding Ace up as he limps out from the back. He looks around as he shakes his head. Alistaire continues to hold him.

Sharper: “We saw Ace arriving earlier. Apparently still in great pain from what Giovanni Aries put him through.”

Knots: “Love how Cassidy, his wife, is taking the spotlight while their bit-…I mean their student, Alistaire Allocco, is helping him.”

Alistaire continues to help Ace down the ring as the crowd boos some. Alistaire yells at them, telling them to cheer. Cassidy Carter waves off the fans as she continues on her way to the ring, ignoring them. Cassidy reaches the ring quickly and hops onto the apron and then enters the ring. She looks around as she goes over to the corner and asks for the microphone. She’s handed one and Alistaire gets Ace over to the steps. He then slowly and gingerly starts to help him up the steps. Ace winces with each one. He then holds his lower back as Alistaire continues to hold him.

Cassidy: “Come on…cradle him like a baby and get him in here.”

Alistaire turns to Ace and shrugs and Ace shoves him back a bit. Alistaire steps off the steps and Ace falls into the ropes. Alistaire rolls into the ring. He gets up and holds open the ropes. Ace slowly starts to step through. He stops halfway through, sitting on the middle rope, taking a few moments before stepping through.

Cassidy: “Don’t need him to tweak everything. This is why he’s not been around. Giovanni Aries…I hope you’re happy….you dumbass with your Wonderland crap. And trust me, you try to have the Lizard King give him sponge baths. Hard as hell without the soap getting all up in there.”

The crowd boos as Ace limps over towards the middle of the ring. Alistaire continues to help him and Ace leans on him. Cassidy turns to him.

Cassidy: “Now obviously, this means that we’re going to have to get used to me, the only one of our trio of greatness and uh…Alistaire…to not be World Champion, but before I take that, I figure since we were told Ace needed to be here for a medical check-up and other BS. We should speak to the world. Ace…”

Cassidy turns to Ace.

Cassidy: “Thank God you can still lay straight or we’d be talking about other problems, but-“

Alistaire’s eyes widen.

Cassidy: “Hey…we’re married. And just because you’d not have a clue what to do in the situation doesn’t mean you can’t judge…except with Jason and Amy, because seriously…Jason could, and did, do better! But!”

Cassidy turns to Ace.

Cassidy: “Baby…are you okay?”

Ace winces and nods before going to speak before coughing a bit. Cassidy shakes her head.

Cassidy: “All of this for the bloodletting. Three wars and the Lizard Kingdom…the Lizard King gave me some mansluts to help me in this trying time but I don’t know if Ace…he’ll be able to make it. Ace…tell me…”

Ace then reaches out and slowly grabs at the microphone. He stops before taking a deep breath and then suddenly shoving Alistaire off and stepping forward. He then stretches his back and bends over.

Ace: “Oh God…jesus man…getting fresh with me. I may have been a bit cut and roughed up, as Giovanni Aries can claim he silenced me for two weeks, but I’m not going anywhere! I fact I was trying to make a deal with the mole people but Regan Street beat me too it and AJ joined PPF instead!”

Ace looks around as the crowd boos.

Knots: “Damn it…he’s fine.”

Ace: “Oh no, I’m done with Giovanni Aries. I think I still am a bit loopy from those previous wars and it’s not from the fighting, if you catch my drift. Instead, I’m going to focus on the bigger and better. Had a couple of weeks off. Got to watch a lot of Ellen. Jesus…too much friggin’ dancing, and trust me, that’s enough to motivated anyone to drink heavily or try to win the World Title so at least I’m buying shoes. So Cass, we know you’ve got the spot and well, we’ve got to make sure one of us is walking away the winner and I don’t care who is in there, we’ll just toss them off or Cass…show them the face you give me when you’re not getting those new Louboutins.”

Cassidy just glares at Ace. Ace shivers.

Ace: “Exactly…you have to all deal with that.”

Alistaire then taps Ace on his shoulder.

Ace: “What?”

Alistaire turns to Ace and Ace leans the microphone to him.

Alistaire: “Don’t we only have two spots?”

Ace: “Do I look like I give a damn? David Helms is in charge. There’s a good chance that he can’t count that high. I don’t give a damn.”

Alistaire: “Wouldn’t that be against the rules-“

Cassidy just facepalms.

Ace: “We really need to get you laid…”

Alistaire’s eyes widen.

Ace: “We don’t care. We’ll go through anyone. I mean I just fought someone who thought I was working with a friggin’ Lizard King. Do your worst SCW. Do your worst-“

The lights go out and the crowd roars. A few moments pass before the opening strings of “Fade to Black” play and we see a spotlight shine down onto the entrance way. We then see Xander Valentine step out from the back.

Sharper: “Oh my God. That’s one man who may disagree!”

Knots: “Well he may have felt fine, but no more! Xander’s looking to send another message!”

Xander saunters down the rampway to the ring. The crowd looks on as the crowd buzzes before Xander grabs at the ropes. Ace looks at Xander and Cassidy starts to pull him back. Alistaire looks at Ace and Cassidy and then tells them to go. Cassidy immediately pulls Ace back and they drop to the floor. Xander pulls himself onto the apron and steps into the ring before Alistaire gets his fists up. He tells Xander to get ready to fight. Xander just scoffs at him before booting him in the face. The crowd ohs. Xander then grabs him and pulls him up before double underhooking him and hoisting him up and just powerbombing him down in the middle of the ring. Ace and Cassidy run around the ring and over to the rampway. They start to back up. Xander looks at Alistaire before turning to Ace and Cassidy.

Sharper: “Xander plants Allocco!”

Knots: “Wonder if he ever wanted to do that to Alistaire’s daddy!”

Sharper: “Ace and Cassidy getting out of dodge-“

We then see Alexis Quinne trying to come out of the back. She is surrounded by officials and security, trying to keep her back. Quinne keeps struggling to get past. We see Dean Black, Dillusion and James Evans all trying to keep her back as she paces a bit. We then see, Cassidy notice this and turns and goes over towards the group and then spins James Evans around before kicking him right between the legs. The crowd ohs and James falls over and down. Some officials move over to Cassidy and Ace as Ace pulls Cassidy back and laughs at James. Xander then steps over the top rope and drops down. Ace notices this and tells Cassidy to bail. They hop off the side of the rampway and head off.

Sharper: “A cheap shot from Cassidy…”

Knots: “Lots of history there and I think Cassidy saw an opening. She’s been seeing a lot of them to speak her mind and do what she wants!”

James grimaces as he holds himself a couple of officials check on him. Alexis tries to get past as Xander starts to walk towards the officials. Some turn and try to stop Xander as we then cut away.

Backstage, we see Jessica Winters standing by with Christy Matthews, who gets a huge reaction from the crowd. She smiles a bit.

Jessica: “Welcome back to Breakdown. I’m here with Christy Matthews and Christy, it sounds like Ravyn Taylor has been doing some plotting or is involved in something.”

Christy: “Isn’t she always?”

Jessica: “Fair.”

Christy: “But that just means I have to make sure that I’m ready for some fun. See, this Sunday, I’m not in the battle royal. I didn’t even sign up. I know, that’s odd for some people to understand. Would I love to be World Champion? Of course. I also know that I’m not at a point where I’m ready for that. I’m worried about my daughter, about Ravyn, about too much. But I think I can do one better and probably do something that needs to be done in SCW and that’s someone knocking Ravyn Taylor down a peg. So she can have her plans. CHBK can too. Maybe it’s time to show that back in the Infamous days, she wasn’t the end all and be all and I had a few tricks up my sleeve too.”

Christy smiles.

Christy: “Maybe I need to make Dark Fantasy’s night…happily never after…”

Christy smirks as the crowd cheers and we slowly cut away.

COMMERCIALS

We return to Breakdown to see James wincing in the backstage area. We see Katelyn Buehler with him. Dean Black too.

Katelyn: “You okay?”

James: “I’ll be fine. I figured that would come earlier.”

Katelyn: “Me too. Lord knows she’s take every cheap shot she can.”

James: “I probably deserve it for everything I did years ago. I crossed a lot of lines.”

Katelyn: “And you’re no longer that person.”

James: “It’s fine-“

Dean: “Look, you just keep recovering…I guess…we still need to have someone near by.”

James: “Yeah…I know.”

Katelyn: “Even now. He didn’t do anything.”

James: “Part of the terms.”

Katelyn turns to James.

Dean: “Can’t leave him alone. At least not until we’re satisfied he’s not a danger to others.”

Katelyn sighs.

Katelyn: “He’ll be fine. So many are willing to give him a second chance.”

Dean: “Rules are rules. James…relax for the night.”

James: “Don’t worry. And Katelyn…it’s fine. If this is what I need to do to make people feel better about  me being around, making a living…I’ll do it. As I said…I went way too far and I didn’t even deserve this second chance.”

We then cut away as Katelyn keeps talking to James.

Sophie O’Brian vs. Ikiro Yoshida

SCW Television Championship

“Hands of the Wicked” begins to play. The lights in the arena fade. A single spotlight shines upon the stage as the tron comes to life and shows images of bloody warfare from all throughout history. The words “Total War” appear on the tron as green pyro begins to go off. Sophie O’Brian then steps out onto the stage side by side with her brother Mark.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall, has a fifteen minute time limit and is for the SCW Television Championship! First, the challenger, accompanied by her brother Mark, she is from Belfast, Northern Ireland, she is Sophie O’Brian!”

Sophie’s arms slowly rise up so that they are extended outwards from her sides in a crucifix like pose. She soaks up the response from the crowd. Finally Sophie and Mark begin to make their way towards the ring. Sophie is to the ring area and then climbs up onto the ring apron and then steps into the ring. Mark follows suit. Sophie holds her arms outstretched in another crucifix like pose.

Sharper: “Sophie O’Brian winning last week. She pinned both Alexis Quinne and Maddy Steward in a hell of a showing.”

Knots: “But can she get it done against Ikiro Yoshida who has been kicking ass, taking names, and dropping sick beats, holding both the TV and interim US Titles!”

Red and white lights begin to flash wildly when the opening to “Smooth Criminal (Violin Instrumental)” by David Garrett begins to play over the P.A System. The SCW fans rise to their feet casting their eyes to the stage where the curtains part. A sudden pause befalls the arena until a man walks out with a confident swagger in his step, Ikiro Yoshida, holding the SCW interim United States Championship and the SCW Television Championship. He wears his trademark red eye patch with a gold dragon emblazoned onto it along with his long sleeved jacket. A smirk appears on the Japanese superstar’s lips before he spins around once and drops down to one knee, both his arms outstretched while he looks down at the ground…

Phillips: “And her opponent, hailing from the Fukushima prefecture, Japan, he is the SCW interim US Champion and the reigning and defending SCW Television Champion, Ikiro Yoshida!”

The fans pop for the Japanese superstar, he leaps back up onto his feet. He raises his titles above his head with a grin before lowering his arm and walking down towards the ring with that same confident swagger from before. Ikiro quickly runs to the ring and slides in, following that up with a quicker roll to a knee. He removes his jacket and hands it to the ring crew and begins to stretch before the bell. The referee takes the SCW Television Championship and holds it over his head as Ikiro hands off the interim US title. The SCW Television Championship logo comes across the screen.

Sharper: “Ikiro Yoshida has been on a tear, as you said. He’s been almost unstoppable and defending the TV title each week.”

Knots: “But we’ve seen it before, over and over, can he keep it going? Or is he going to run himself down? He’s got Jason Helms this Sunday, interim US title on the line!”

The bell sounds. Sophie looks at Ikiro. Mark watches from the apron before Sophie and Ikiro circle. Ikiro lunges with a kick, but Sophie dodges and kicks Ikiro in the thigh. Ikiro winces and turns and Sophie kicks him in the thigh again. He then kicks him a third time before jumping up and locking in a side headlock. She pulls back and Ikiro lifts her up off the mat and back into the ropes and fires her off. She bounces off and Ikiro shoulders her down. Sophie hits the mat and rolls over. Ikiro turns and watches her. She slowly gets up. She keeps watching and lunges at the legs of Ikiro. Ikiro blocks it and gutwrenches Sophie up and suplexes her over. She gets back up and lunges again, but Ikiro blocks it again and gutwrenches her up and throws her over again. Sophie rolls over and moves to the corner. Ikiro moves in after and knees her in the ribs.

Sharper: “Sophie trying to go for the vertical base, but Ikiro scouting it and using his strength to make Sophie reconsider.”

Knots: “The knee to the ribs helps that too!”

Ikiro then grabs Sophie and whips him across the ring. Ikiro runs after and Sophie goes for boots and Ikiro blocks it and throws her legs down and nails her with a hard clothesline before stepping back and grabbing Sophie and hitting a hip tosses her out of the corner. Sophie rolls over. Ikiro goes for the pin.

Sophie kicks out. Both get up and Ikiro goes for a kick, but Sophie blocks it and lunges and hits Ikiro with a hard forearm to the jaw. Ikiro staggers back and turns around and Sophie kicks him in the thigh again. Ikiro yells out and Sophie jumps up and hits an enziguri kick to the back of the head. Ikiro falls to the mat.

Sharper: “And Sophie nails him in the back of the head. The enziguri.”

Knots: “Sophie not being discouraged. Going back to the leg and then the head.”

Sharper: “And now, no cover, but going right for him.”

Sophie stands over him in a standing mount and just nails Ikiro in the face with a hard right and then another and another before stepping forward and walking around. Ikiro slowly starts to get up and Sophie runs at him and hits a basement dropkick to the face. He drops back and Sophie goes for the pin.

Ikiro gets his shoulder up.

Sharper: “Sophie O’Brian, pure aggression. Decisive in her attacks!”

Knots: “Talk about timely. Ikiro Yoshida could be focus on everything else. He’s all over the place.”

Sharper: “Stumbling out of the corner before the pin.”

Ikiro stirs and Sophie grabs him and clubs him in the back and then again. She runs into the ropes. She bounces off and hits a dropkick. Ikiro falls through the ropes to the apron. He starts to pull himself up. Sophie then walks over and grabs him and grabs his head. She then jumps up for a guillotine drop, but Ikiro hoists her up and throws her forward. He then steps into the ring and Sophie gets up only for Ikiro to drill him with a Yakuza kick. The crowd ohs and Sophie rolls over. She slowly pulls herself up and Ikiro kicks her in the ribs. He places her head between his legs and lifts her up and powerbombs her in the corner. Sophie collapses to a seated position and Ikiro then pulls two dice out of his pocket and utrns and rolls them. He runs over to them before turning around and running at Sophie and hits the double knees in the corner. He rolls back. Sophie falls over and rolls over and Ikiro grabs her and drags her out. She goes for the pin.

Sophie gets her shoulder up and Ikiro rolls off.

Sharper: “Only two! Ikiro trying to just immediately take Sophie out.”

Knots: “I think he realizes Sophie is coming at him hard.”

Sharper: “Sophie’s brother Mark at ringside is yelling at Sophie to get up.”

Sophie rolls over as Ikiro gets up and Mark yells in. Ikiro grabs Sophie and hooks her up and hits a falcon arrow. He pushes down for the pin.

Sophie turns and hits a shoot kick to the chest. Ikiro winces and falls to a knee. Sophie kicks him again. She then goes for another kick and Ikiro blocks it and hits a dragon screw. Sophie goes over and Ikiro starts to get up.

Sharper: “Ikiro counters. Dragon screw leg whip.”

Knots: “That could take out the knee. But Ikiro’s back up!”

Sharper: “Sophie trying to get up. She knows she has to!”

Ikiro then gets up and Sophie slowly stirs as Ikiro backs up to the corner. He then starts to stomp his foot. The crowd starts to spell out K-A-R-A-O-K-E before he lunges, but Sophie ducks and Ikiro steps forward. He turns around and Sophie hits a second Death of Wisdom. Ikiro falls to the mat and Sophie goes for the pin, hooking the leg.

The crowd roars and looks on stunned as Sophie O’Brian rolls off. The referee goes over and is handed the title.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, and NEW SCW Television Champion, Sophie O’Brian!”

Sharper: “I don’t believe it! Sophie O’Brian, on a tear as of late. Ikiro Yoshida, on one too. Something had to give and it turned out to be Ikiro’s win streak, just days before he has to defend the interim US Title!”

Knots: “Sophie’s new attitude, new methods, paying off and she’s got SCW gold!”

The crowd boos as Sophie is handed the TV Title. She holds it over her head and smiles as Mark enters the ring and raises her arm too. The crowd boos as the camera focuses on her. She looks around, smiling as she then looks at the title in her hands and nods. Ikiro remains down, holding his jaw as the crowd boos and we cut away.

David Helms can be seen finishing talking to an official before he turns and we see Sienna Swann walking over to him.

Sienna: “Have to meet me in the hallway. How nice? Can’t even have a private meeting.”

David: “After that stunt you and Laura pulled last week, you’re lucky I’m even talking to you.”

Sienna: “So you’ve reconsidered.”

David: “You realize the Board even agreed we’re not changing anything. They said that to you and to Laura or so I’ve been told.”

Sienna sighs.

Sienna: “I should be entering last.”

David: “And instead you’ll get the luck of the draw. You’re the IronAngel. You’ve been showing how good you are in that ring. What’s the problem?”

Sienna: “The problem is that on principle, I should be number forty. Why bother expending the energy when I don’t have to? Please…people should wait for the best and they should PAY to see the best.”

David: “They’re going to pay this Sunday and we’ll see if fate agrees. Now Sienna, we’ve been friends for a while. I can’t do anything for you. But I wish you luck. So you know, I have to cheer for Regan.”

Sienna: “Yeah, yeah…just after I win, I better get some respect around here.”

David: “I can book you against Xander-“

Sienna’s eyes widen.

David: “Kidding…relax…”

Sienna: “Good. That brute should be suspended for what he did.”

David: “I’ll think about it.”

Sienna: “I know what that means.”

David: “Nice talking to you Sienna.”

David walks off as Sienna just watches him leave and we cut away.

COMMERCIALS

We return to Breakdown and we see Ikiro Yoshida walking in the backstage area, shaking his head, still holding the interim US Championship. He takes a few steps before he looks up and we see Jason Helms walking over to him.

Jason: “Hey, Ikiro…”

Ikiro: “Ah…Jason.”

Jason: “Look, sorry about tonight. Heck a run with the title.”

Ikiro nods, not saying anything.

Jason: “Too bad it’s going to happen again this Sunday. I know this is kicking you while you’re down. And sorry for that…but after Regan’s comments earlier…I’ve got a bit more piss in my vinegar, if you get my drift.”

Ikiro: “Piss….vinegar? Bad wine?”

Jason: “No, Ikiro…don’t worry about it. Just I feel like having some heart to heart in my family and well, just good luck this Sunday.”

Jason pats Ikiro on the back and walks off as Ikiro takes a deep breath and watches him leave.

We then cut to the announce table at ringside to see Adam Sharper and Jonathan Knots.

Sharper: “Ikiro Yoshida losing the TV Title moments ago. Jason Helms clearly meant to speak to him, but even he’s a bit surprised…”

Knots is looking on his phone.

Sharper: “Jon, what are you-“

Knots: “Research. Gotta find that report. Keep going. Kill time. Talk about how much you love Tommy Valentine. Real blue chip prospect or something.”

Sharper: “He’s a former World Champion. And he’s off-“

Knots: “Great. Christy Matthews hates Ravyn Taylor. Go…”

Sharper rolls his eyes. Knots keeps looking before looking up.

Knots: “Oh hey, I think I found it! Helms vs Mason, question mark. Oh... I can't repeat this on air...”

Just then a pair of hands appears from just off screen and yanks the phone from Knots' hands. The shot pans back and we see Bree Mason standing over him glaring, as she then tosses the phone backwards over her shoulder.

Bree: “What the hell do you think you're doing? I am sick of your constant needling me! Twitter, this garbage you call commentary! I can't WAIT to win the Flame and hopefully finally give your wife some damn class!”

Knots: “Hey! You're gonna replace that phone you just broke! Besides, I'm just doing my job, I didn't write the article, I'm just reporting it!”

Bree: “It's garbage! And you're garbage! And most importantly... it's irrelevant!”

Knots starts to fire a comment back but Bree walks off. She grabs a mic and enters the ring.

Bree: “Let me clarify something for all of you right now. That garbage Jonny Knots was attempting to read? Is just that. Garbage. It's based on vulgarity that Jason Helms spoke that was just uncalled for, classless, and-”

The crowd roars as we see Amy Chastaine coming down the ramp, no music but a mic in her hand. Shaking her head, she walks to the bottom of the ramp. Bree glares at her.

Amy: “You know, I'm pretty sure that you're the one who started this whole, making personal things public, thing.”

Bree glares at Amy, taking a step towards the ropes, and yells.

Bree: “And I'm pretty sure this particular issue is actually none of your business!”

Amy hops onto the apron and steps through. It looks like she wants to get in Bree's face but Bree steps back.

Amy: “I just made it my business. If you can't handle the attention you get from your own schemes, maybe you shouldn't push people into corners. What's that line from that Bible you like so much... reap what you sow?”

Bree: “Maybe if you weren't a pair of classless hypocrites with no respect for the people who support you OR yourselves, I wouldn't have to push anything!”

Amy: “Or maybe... you could have just minded your own business from the start!”

Bree: “But Amy... you've always said you're an open book with the public... they didn't deserve to have you decide to close it now. I mean, you apparently keep everything else open, including your legs!”

The crowd boos heavily.

Sharper: “Speaking of uncalled for...”

Knots: “And speaking of classless hypocrites...”

Amy looks sideways, a smirk on her face, before she then looks back up with a scowl and raises her fist to swing at Bree. Bree backs up and cringes a bit putting her arm up to block, but Amy stops herself just before the swing was halfway through. She smirks as she lowers her arm.

Amy: “Nah... I won't give you the satisfaction of pushing me THAT far.”

Bree smirks, taking another step back, just in case.

Bree: “Oh babe, I already have. You asked for this fight last week, remember?”

Amy: “No, YOU asked for it... for the last few months you have asked and asked for it! And Sunday... I guarantee you that I am going to give you everything that you've been asking for.”

Bree: “I really hope you do. It'll make it that much better when I take you down.”

Amy: “I invite you to try. I might have taught you everything you know, but I didn't teach you everything I know. Remember that.”

Bree scoffs, and starts to say something but Amy cuts her off.

Amy: “Now I suggest you back down before I change my mind about knocking that smug look off your face.”

Bree: “Oh, you think this is smug? Just wait until Sunday. You turned my brother against me, you ruined my family! And Sunday I am going to make sure both of you regret everything you've said and done to cross me!”

Amy shakes her head, and steps forward, glaring down at Bree.

Amy: “You ruined your own family, Bree. You've made it clear you'd rather be a Mason than a Lancaster. I don't think I need to remind anyone about your husband dropping me on my head at Learning from History. And as much as you think Sunday is going to be some kind of retribution for what you think I did? All you're going to end up doing is making sure that you never get back what you lost.”

Amy then steps back and sets her mic down in the ring before going through the ropes and off the apron. Bree just glares at her. Amy gives Bree another head shake before turning around to walk away up the ramp.

We see Woodrum stretching backstage before turning and starting to head to the ring. The camera pans back to see Owen Cruze and Aaron Blackbourne standing nearby.

Woodrum: “Boys…I want you to stay back here.”

Owen: “You sure? After earlier-“

Woodrum: “Bill and I got way back. I plan to have fun with this and if Gothfather comes out, I’ll be ready for him. This is our fight. After…you two can have all the fun you want.”

Aaron turns to Owen. Owen shrugs.

Aaron: “Good luck out there.”

Woodrum stretches a bit more before turning and walking off.

Sharper: “Woodrum faces Bill Barnhart in an underground rules match, next.”

The scene fades to black.

COMMERCIALS

Breakdown opens up backstage as we see Blake Mason walking through the backstage area before he’s stopped by Jessica Winters.

Jessica: “Blake…can I get a quick word?”

Blake stops and sighs before turning and walking over to Jessica.

Blake: “I guess…sorry.”

Jessica: “Just noticed that you’ve been in some ways distancing yourself from the situation with Bree and-“

Blake: “Just stop there. This is Bree’s fight. This issue with Amy. I had my issue with her. But Bree wanted to take point on this and I think at times, she’s gone over the edge, but in many ways, I did in the past too. If the question is if I’m going to support her this Sunday, I will. I’m going to watching that match closely. There are a lot of emotions in this one. But otherwise, my mind is on the Taking Hold of the Flame battle royal and doing what I need to do to maybe punch my ticket to Rise to Greatness for a World Title shot. Given that my contract only has so much time left…I want to make sure it counts.”

Blake pauses.

Blake: “That all?”

Jessica nods. Blake then turns and walks off as Jessica watches him leave.

Josh Woodrum vs. Bill Barnhart

"Spoilin' For A Fight" by AC/DC plays, the arena darkens. Orange strobe lights flash through out the arena as the curtain parts and out walks Josh Woodrum wearing his ring gear and a black and orange "Mister Impressive" T-shirt. Woodrum walks to the middle of the ramp, stops surveys the crowd and then holds up both arms in the "rock on" hand sign as pyros explode behind him.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a fifteen minute time limit and is underground rules. First, on his way to the ring, from Lexington, Kentucky, he is Josh Woodrum!”

He saunters to the apron, jumps up and cockily hops over the ropes and lands in the ring. He walks to the center of the ring and with great flourish rips off his shirt. He tosses the remains into the crowd and cups his hand to his ear, hitting all four sides of the ring before striking a double bicep pose in the center of the ring. Woodrum climbs the nearest turnbuckle, he flashes another "rock on" hand sign and steps down as his music fades.

Sharper: “We’ve already seen how Barnhart and Gothfather’s issues with others have played out. Now Josh Woodrum, who was a last minute replacement to face Bill Barnhart tonight, will get a big rematch.”

Knots: “Last time, things broke down. This is no rules. They can do what they want!”

“Confident” by Demi Lovato begins to play as the lights in the arena go dark. We watch as pink spotlights flash around the entrance area. After a short time we see “Bulldog” Bill Barnhart step out from the backstage area with his English Bulldog, Iris, strutting along beside him. Iris is wearing a pink diamond-studded dog collar and there is a pink leash attached to the collar and the leash trails behind her as she comes down the entrance ramp toward the ring. The fans don’t particularly care for Bill Barnhart and they let him know it with boos and taunts.

Phillips: “And his opponent, from Lawrenceville, Georgia, he is Bulldog Bill Barnhart!”

Barnhart ignores them as he is here to wrestle and not cater to the fans. Even as the fans yell louder at him and throw trash at him he ignores them. When Barnhart arrives at the ringside area he bends down and grabs the leash of Iris and hands it to a ringside assistant who holds onto the leash and keeps Iris at ringside to watch Bill’s match. Barnhart gives Iris a kiss on the nose and then he climbs the ring steps to the ring apron. Bill then walks along the apron before entering the ring. He then lunges and goes for Woodrum. The bell sounds. Barnhart gets a shot in as Woodrum fires back.

Sharper: “Just as Gothfather wanted the drop on Owen Cruze earlier, Barnhart going right after Woodrum!”

Knots: “And we’re picking up right where we left off last week!”

Barnhart nails him again and Woodrum nails him again. Barnhart kicks him in the ribs and then nails him with a hard right and then another before knocking him into the ropes. He goes to whip him across, but Woodrum spins through and sends Barnhart in. Barnhart bounces off and Woodrum nails him with a big boot. The crowd roars and Barnhart hits the mat and rolls out of the ring. Woodrum turns and follows after and steps through the ropes and down to the floor. Barnhart starts to get up and Woodrum grabs him and rakes his back. Barnhart staggers back and over to the ringpost. Woodrum then runs over and clubs him in the back, knocking him over. Barnhart falls to the mats. Woodrum then looks around before reaching under the ring. The crowd roars. He looks around and grabs a steel chair. He turns and Barnhart starts to get up and Woodrum turns and lifts the chair up and swing the chair. Barnhart dives out of the way and Woodrum hits the mats hard. Barnhart turns and kicks Woodrum in the ribs.

Sharper: “Woodrum trying to go after Barnhart, slamming that chair into his back, but he got out of the way.”

Knots: “Deceptive quickness from the Bulldog! Now if he can just do to him what he did to Beard, we’ve got something here!”

Sharper: “Don’t remind me.”

Iris barks as Barnhart kicks Woodrum in the ribs again and drives him face first into the ring apron. Woodrum falls to a knee. Barnhart then grabs the steel chair and hoists it up and turns and slams it into Woodrum’s back. The crowd ohs and Woodrum rolls into the ring. Barnhart then slides the chair in. He then drops down and looks under the ring. He gets up and walks around the ring and goes over to another side of the ring and grabs another steel chair and lifts it up and throws it into the ring. He then turns and grabs a trash can with some sticks and other items inside. He throws it into the ring. Barnhart rolls in after. He gets up as Woodrum starts to stir and Barnhart kicks him in the ribs. He then turns back to the trash can and grabs a broom from the trash can. He looks at it and turns, slamming it into Woodrum’s back, causing it to break. The crowd ohs and Woodrum collapses to the mat. Barnhart then looks at him and smiles before walking over to the trash can again and pulling a kendo stick out and then a mileage road sign. He pulls it up and turn and walks over to Woodrum. Woodrum looks up at him and Barnhart goes to drive the sign into his head, but Woodrum blocks it. He shakes his head no and Barnhart keeps trying to drive him in before Woodrum shoves him back, overpowering him and Barnhart falls back into the ropes. He then turns around and Woodrum scoops him up and slams him through the trash can, causing it to collapse under Barnhart. Barnhart winces in pain.

Sharper: “Woodrum just driving Barnhart through that trash can. The bottom of it just collapsing.”

Knots: “Woodrum now back up and Barnhart may want Gothfather out here!”

Woodrum grabs Barnhart and looks around to the chairs that Barnhart dragged in and nails Woodrum with a hard right hand. Barnhart hits the mat. He gets back up and Woodrum places his head over the chair and jumps up and hits the That’s Gotta Hurt Even More on the steel chair. The crowd ohs. Woodrum rolls him over and hooks the leg.

Barnhart pushes him off. Woodrum turns to the official and looks around. He then starts to get up and stomps Barnhart in the face and then again before walking over and grabbing the steel chair. He looks around at the crowd as they roar. He unfolds it and places it in the middle of the ring. Barnhart rolls over and stirs and Woodrum nails him with a hard right. Barnhart falls to the ropes. He then whips him into the ropes. Barnhart bounces off and Woodrum goes for a clothesline. He ducks and keeps running. Woodrum runs forward and both bounce off the ropes. Barnhart then catches Woodrum with a spear, driving him into the chair and the crowd ohs as Woodrum rolls over convulsing.

Sharper: “Barnhart went low and catch Woodrum, driving him into the chair he sat up!”

Knots: “And Woodrum may be destroyed!”

Barnhart then grabs the chair as Woodrum rolls over and lifts it up, still unfolded and just throws it into Woodrum. The crowd ohs as Woodrum rolls over, wincing in pain. Barnhart walks around the ring and then grabs the steel chair. He turns and Woodrum starts to get up and Barnhart drives it down into the arm of Woodrum. The crowd ohs and Woodrum falls back down, holding his wrist. Barnhart stomps him in the head and then grabs his arm and places the chair over it. He then looks around. Woodrum tries to struggle and Barnhart stomps him in the face. The referee tells Barnhart to stop but Barnhart turns and jumps up and stomps on the chair. Woodrum yells out and turns and Barnhart turns and stomps the chair again.

Sharper: “Barnhart is going for the arm! He’s trying to injure Woodrum!”

Knots: “And he may be succeeding. Woodrum in pain!”

Woodrum manages to pull his arm away, but Barnhart immediately goes for the wrist and rolls Woodrum onto his back and pulls back, locking in the Barnhart Shoulder Breaker, pulling up on the injured wrist. Woodrum yells out and grimaces. Barnhart pulls back and Woodrum turns to the mat and kicks at it, but refuses to give up. The referee checks and Barnhart pulls up, intentionally standing to add leverage. The referee gets a good look before immediately calling for the bell. The crowd boos.

Sharper: “He didn’t tap!”

Knots: “But the referee I think saw the damage!”

Barnhart keeps pulling up for a moment longer and the referee calls for the bell again before telling him to let go. Barnhart does and steps back and looks at Woodrum. The crowd boos as Woodrum rolls over, immediately grabbing his arm and cradling it. Barnhart then moves back in and stomps him in the back and then again. We see Owen Cruze and Aaron Blackbourne then running out from the back. The crowd roars.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via referee stoppage, Bill Barnhart!”

Sharper: “And with the match over, Owen Cruze and Aaron Blackbourne not feeling a need to stay in the back to honour Woodrum’s wishes. Coming out, but Woodrum is hurt!”

Knots: “That left arm, he’s cradling it. Barnhart may have done the damage!”

Barnhart turns and steps out of the ring and down to the floor. Aaron slides in as Owen does too. Owen goes to the ropes as Aaron walks over and checks on Woodrum. Barnhart grabs Iris’ lead and start to lead her away. Iris barks a bit and Bulldog laughs at Owen and Aaron as Owen watches him. The crowd continues to boo as we cut away.

COMMERCIALS

We open up backstage to see Beard leaning back in a chair, the room full of steam, but with eye patches over both of his eyes. He then suddenly gets up and look saround.

Beard: “Oh God…I’m blind!”

???: “Never fear my adorable bearded friend. You are safe. You will be cleansed. And you were already blind.”

Beard: “That damn…I think I still smell some of it from last week.”

The camera pans out to show Giovanni Aries meditating next to Beard. Some incense is burning in front of him.

Giovanni: “Do not worry. I will use your spirit to guide me to take the flame from the Lizard Kingdom. To use it to extinguish that dictatorship of the scales and free all to enjoy the wonderland.”

Beard: “Alright dude…but what does that do for me?”

Giovanni: “It will free you from your blindness. No longer with the Lizard Kingdom’s afflictions. You will be able to see again.”

Beard then reaches up to take off the eye patch for his good eye.

Giovanni: “No…you must remain blinded…to allow your other senses to come along. Because just as you, right now, I am engaged the same.”

Beard: “But how’d you-“

Giovanni: “I heard you.”

Beard: “Whoa…”

Giovanni: “I must be at my best. I have thwarted the Judas and though he mocks me, it is all a smokescreen. I know the Kingdom is hurting and I will give it a killing blow this Sunday.”

Giovanni chuckles as Beard looks around as the scene slowly fades out and we return to ringside.

Dustin Adams vs. Nostalgia

Phillips: “The following match is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first....”

‘Seizure of Power’ hits the speakers as olive lights flicker around the arena, smoke and sparks fills the entrance ramp. Dustin Adams steps into the smoke and allows it to cover him before letting out a primal roar and extending his arms up and looking focused.

Phillips: “Making his way to the ring, fighting out of Detroit, Michigan.... he is The Inmate, Dustin Adams!”

As the crowd boos, Adams slowly walks down towards the ring and hops up onto the apron, then quickly slides into the ring and up to his feet. He loosens up in the ring before getting ready to face his opponent, staring at the ramp waiting.

Sharper: “Dustin Adams, associate, friend... something, of Andrew Raynes. Made his presence in SCW known in a big way when he helped Raynes interrupt the debut of Nostalgia.”

Knots: “This guy is intense! And that nickname, the Inmate... I've heard rumors that's literal.”

Sharper: “Pretty sure that's not a rumor, Jon. This guy's been around a while. Been off the radar for a few years, but he's here. And after some cheap shots we're finally getting to see what he can do.”

The beat to “Redbone” by Childish Gambino begins playing throughout the arena as a the lights go out and a red spotlight circles the arena. The red spotlight gets to the ramp entrance to find Nostalgia through the curtain.

“MADE ME PUT AWAY MY PRIIIDDEEE!”

Nostalgia stands motionless for a few seconds with his chin tucked to his chest until he hears…

“STAY WOKE!”

Phillips: “And his opponent... hailing from Pine Barrens, NJ….The Prophet of Pain…. Nostalgia!

On hearing his name, Nostalgia takes a bow. As he gets to a standing position, pyrotechnics explode encircling him.

“STAY WOKE!"

He walks through the pyrotechnics with his right fist in the air. As he makes his way down the ramp, he slaps the hands of as many fans as he possibly can. He switches between high -fiving fans at each barricades every few feet.

“NOW STAY WOKE”

Nostalgia jumps on the apron, the over the ropes and into the ring.Nostalgia circles the ring with his arms spread wide, palms up, signaling for the fans to make some noise . Nostalgia stands in the center of the ring, and raises his Right Fist High in the air, holds it for a few seconds.

Sharper: “Nostalgia has to be looking to get some payback here, Adams and Raynes have been on his back literally since he got here.”

Knots: “Adams looks like he can put anyone ON their back in about three seconds.”

Sharper: “Maybe in most cases, but Nostalgia is nearly the same size. I hope David Helms had the ring reinforced for this one.”

The bell rings and Nostalgia immediately goes up to Adams and shoves him with both hands. Adams barely moves, and glares. Nostalgia shoves again, harder. Adams takes a tiny step back. The crowd murmurs and some cheer. Nostalgia grins a bit and then takes a step back before pulling his arm back and then blasting Adams with an uppercut. The crowd cheers more as Adams takes a few steps backwards. He shakes his head clear, then takes one huge step forward, throwing a massive lariat. Nostalgia goes down, but gets right back up. The two big men stare each other down and the crowd roars.

Sharper: “This is gonna be a brutal battle I think, how do you keep someone that large down?”

Knots: “Everyone has a weakness, all you gotta do is find it.”

Adams bounces off the ropes and puts his foot up for a big boot. Nostalgia catches his leg though and shoves backwards, sending Adams down to his back hard. The ring shakes and the crowd ohs. Nostalgia lands a knee into Adams chest. Adams rolls over. Nostalgia grabs Adams' leg, looking like he's attempting a Boston crab. Adams kicks backwards with his free leg though and plants Nostalgia in the stomach. He staggers backwards and hits the ropes. Adams gets to his feet and turns. Nostalgia lunges at him but Adams catches him with a big boot. Nostalgia hits the mat. Adams drops for a cover.

Nostalgia kicks out hard. Adams gets up and pulls Nostalgia up. He whips Nostalgia into the ropes. On the return Adams lifts him up, struggling a bit, with a gorilla press and immediately drops Nostalgia back down to the mat. He turns, and Nostalgia grabs Adams foot and trips him. Adams goes down face first. Nostalgia gets up. He pulls Adams up and whips him into the corner. He then follows running and nails Adams with a high knee to the face. The crowd cheers as Adams slumps into the corner, one hand over his face.

Sharper: “Nothing but impact move so far, and did you see Dustin Adams lifting Nostalgia over his head?”

Knots: “I'm not sure if I should be impressed or afraid.”

Nostalgia grabs Adams' arm and pulls him out of the corner, then spins him around, and throws him over head with a German suplex. The crowd oohs and Nostalgia makes a cover.

Adams shoves Nostalgia off hard. He rolls away. Adams starts to get up, and Nostalgia is right behind him. Nostalgia grabs Adams' arm and tries to whip him across. Adams reverses the hold and momentum and sends Nostalgia across instead. He lunges for a clothesline but Nostalgia ducks and bounces off the other side. Nostalgia attempts a clothesline himself but Adams catches his arm, lifts him up, and spins him around before planting him to the mat with a spinning side slam! The ring shakes and the crowd oohs then boos.

Knots: “We saw Adams do that maneuver when he and Raynes ruined Nostalgia's debut!”

Sharper: “I'm told he calls it the Death Row Slam, and it's one hell of a brutal impact.”

Adams makes a cover, hooking a leg.

The bell rings and the crowd boos some more.

Phillips: “Here is your winner by pinfall... Dustin Adams!”

Adams gets up and stands over Nostalgia. He raises his arms over head then brings them down fists closed, with a primal roar. The official simply points, too intimidated to try to go over and raise his arm.

Sharper: “Both these men gave as good as they got, but Adams just caught Nostalgia out of nowhere, counter to a clothesline and drilled.”

Knots: “Death Row Slam! I like it. I'm also a little scared of it... but I like it!”

Adams drops down and slides out of the ring, going up the ramp backwards with both fists in the air. Nostalgia starts to stir as Breakdown cuts away.

“Immortals” starts to play. The Breakdown logo comes up on the screen. We then see a shot of Donovan Kayl vs. Justin Davis.

Sharper: “Folks, more to come, including our main event. Donovan Kayl faces off against Justin Davis, next!”

The scene fades to black.

COMMERCIALS

We return to Breakdown to see Dustin Adams walking backstage and walking over to Andrew Raynes who high-fives him. The two celebrate a bit before Hana Ito meets up with them.

Hana: “Andrew, Dustin, can I get a word?”

Andrew then stops and looks around.

Andrew: “You can get a word…let’s just make sure Dylan Howell doesn’t need to take another cheap shot…the good family man that he is…”

Andrew and Dustin both look around.

Andrew: “A shame…I was hoping to get my hands on him. I just hope it happens this Sunday. Maybe we’ll get lucky with the drawing and I can toss you over the top, Dylan, drop you on your head and you can maybe get the hint…I’m not in your league and Addy…as you call the title…will stay with me!”

Andrew smirks and the two walk off as the crowd boos. Hana watches them leave.

Donovan Kayl vs. Justin Davis

The arena goes dark and a mist of smoke begins to gather at the top of the ramp as the opening rift of 'Sail" begins to play throughout the arena. The lights starts to flickers as a spotlight shines on top of the ramp. Justin Davis stands at the top of the ramp with his head lowered and a hood covering his head. Davis lifts his head as he takes his hood off and the words "JUSTIN DAVIS" shows on the big screen. The crowd begins to fill the arena with roaring cheers. You can see a smile on Davis' face while nodding his head as he begins to make his way down the ramp.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a twenty minute time limit. First, on his way to the ring, from Boston, Massachusetts, he is Justin Davis!”

Davis lifts his arms up in the air as he makes his way up the steel steps and into the ring. Once in the ring Davis circles the ring and then chooses a random turnbuckle to climb and pose for the fans by lifting his right arm and pointing up to the ceiling then to the crowd. He then drops down and sits in the corner awaiting for the match to begin.

Sharper: “Justin Davis had Donovan Kayl on his list and timing may be everything. Kayl just days away from facing Kennedy Street for the World Title this Sunday.”

Knots: “Yeah and he’s probably hoping to turn this into a message for some of the others on his list. Dark Fantasy. Oh yeah, and Josh Hudson!”

"Tom Sawyer” by Rush starts to play as the spotlight focuses on the top of the ramp. Immediately, the crowd rise to their feet in a raucous ovation.

A modern day warrior
Mean, mean stride
Today's Tom Sawyer
Mean, mean pride

Stepping out to the top of the ramp is "The Cornerstone" Donovan Kayl. He steps to the side, facing out to the crowd. As he stands atop the ramp, he throws his arm out with each big note of the beginning musical portion. After turning his head to survey the entire crowd, he turns to face the front of the ramp, beginning to walk out towards the ring.

Phillips: “His opponent, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, he is the Cornerstone of Professional Wrestling, Donovan Kayl!”

Kayl keeps his eyes focused on the ring ahead, and with a stoic gaze in his eyes, slaps the hands of a few fans at ringside. Once he gets to the bottom of the ramp, Donovan pulls himself up onto the apron, walking over to the corner. He climbs up onto the second rope, looking out over the crowd, until the next lines hit...

Kayl throws his arms up for the roaring crowd, shouting out something that's just impossible to hear outside of the first couple of rows nearby. He hops the top rope into the ring, moving to the middle where he spins once, dropping to a knee and shooting his arms out. He drops his head as the crowd showers the ring with streamers, cascading down around him as he looks at the ring under his knee before raising his head upward slowly.

Sharper: “Donovan Kayl needs to be at his best. This is his shot. He said it last week. He’s heard the comments about how solid he looked over the last year, but this could be one of his last shots at the title.”

Knots: “Trios contract used to get it. And it’s against a sister, a student…This is huge.”

The bell sounds. Kayl stretches out a bit as Davis walks around the ring. The two circle around before lunging at one another and Kayl and Davis lock up with a collar and elbow tie-up in the middle of the ring. Davis turns into a side headlock. He pulls back and Kayl pushes up on his arm. He continues to fight with him before pushing up on Davis’ arm and spins into a top wristlock. He pushes back and Davis backs up to the corner. Kayl leans in. The referee calls for the break.

Sharper: “Davis digging deep, catching Kayl and throws him back.”

Knots: “He’s probably as motivated as we’ve ever seen him. Too bad, Josh Hudson is going to run at him and take him out soon enough.”

Sharper: “I’ll be honest, I’m surprised Josh Hudson isn’t out here yet.”

Davis then grabs Kayl and pulls him up. He places his head between his legs and hoists him up and hits a sitout powebomb.

Kayl shoots his shoulder up and rolls over, but Davis turns and rolls through into a single leg crab. The crowd roars. Kayl grimaces and looks around as he pushes up. The referee checks on him and Davis pulls back.

Sharper: “Davis with the crab! Rolling through.”

Knots: “He didn’t let go. He’s schooling Kayl a bit here!”

Kayl keeps fighting and the referee checks on him and Davis continues to lean back. Kayl then reaches back and starts to pull on the leg of Davis. Davis struggles a bit before Kayl pulls on the leg and Davis goes down. Kayl moves back and then pulls on Davis’ legs, crossing them and locking in a sharpshooter. The crowd roars as Kayl sits down.

Knots: “The Canadian tradition. We learn how to do these out of the womb!”

Sharper: “Sharpshooter in the middle of the ring. Kayl countering!”

Kayl leans back as Davis grimaces in pain and starts to reach for the ropes in front of him. He tries to crawl forward a bit and tries to move forward. Kayl remains down as Davis pulls him a bit and crawls closer and closer to the ropes. Kayl continues to keep the hold locked in as the crowd roars and Davis gets to the ropes a bit more and reaches out and grabs the bottom rope. The referee calls for the break. Kayl lets go and steps forward and walks around the ring.

Sharper: “Davis getting to the ropes, but what was the damage.”

Davis gets his shoulder up. He then rolls over as Kayl drags him up to his feet. He then spins him around and goes for a German suplex, but Davis blocks it and elbows him in the jaw and then again. He steps forward. Kayl shakes it off a bit before stepping forward and Davis grabs him and hits the Fallout. Kayl rolls to his back. Davis rolls over to his side.

Sharper: “Davis fighting out before driving Kayl into the mat with the Fallout.”

Knots: “Yeah, and these two leaving it all. Davis wants to beat the number one contender. Kayl wants to make sure he’s going into Taking Hold of the Flame with some momentum. You don’t want to be doubting yourself, which is hard when you’re facing Kennie!”

Davis slowly starts to get up and staggers to the ropes. He grabs at the ropes and pulls himself up before turning back to Kayl and starting to pull him up. Just as he does, we see Josh Hudson storming out from the back. The crowd boos seeing this. We also see Regan Street, Mikaela Street and AJ Helms coming out from the back. Hudson immediately slides into the ring as Davis goes to lift Kayl up, but Hudson clubs him in the back. The bell sounds and the crowd boos.

Sharper: “Hudson out here and from behind! Attacking Davis!”

Knots: “And Regan Street out here. Mikaela Street. AJ Helms!”

Kayl rolls over as Hudson then clubs him in the back again and again before he turns and lifts him up and hits a belly to belly suplex. He turns as Davis rolls over in pain. Hudson then starts to get up as Regan hops onto the apron. Hudson turns and Regan enters as Hudson turns and sends Davis into her and Regan kicks him in the ribs and hits the Haywire. The crowd ohs and Kayl gets up and shoves Hudson back. AJ looks on from the floor along with Mikaela. Regan steps forward and tells Kayl to settle down before Hudson suddenly nails him with a clothesline. He walks around as the crowd boos. Hudson stomps him in the face and then the chest before stomping him again and again. Regan shrugs and then takes a couple of cheap shots on Davis.

Sharper: “Regan going after Davis as Hudson is attacking Kayl! PPF is now going after both!”

Knots: “Kayl shoves Hudson and that set him off!”

Sharper: “Regan seems to be focusing on Davis, intentionally turning her back to what Hudson is doing!”

AJ hops onto the apron as we see Kennedy Street running down from the back. The crowd erupts in cheers. She runs down to the ring and slides into the ring. She gets up and spins Hudson around and Hudson looks at Kennedy as Regan stops with Davis and smirks before turning and grabbing Hudson. AJ looks on as Mikaela does too. Regan pulls Hudson away from Kennedy as Kennedy looks at Hudson. Hudson says something to Kennedy as Kennedy glares at him.

Sharper: “More family connections…but what if Regan or Hudson win the battle royal?”

Knots: “Regan’s pulling Hudson away from Kennedy. She’s not ready for this to explode! Kennedy out here to help Kayl!”

Regan pulls Hudson away as Hudson smiles as Kennedy turns and watches them. Regan and Hudson exit the ring and drop to the floor. They start to back away, looking at the ring. Hudson just smiles looking at his damage. Kennedy turns back to Kayl and checks on him as Kayl winces.

Sharper: “What will happen this Sunday? Taking Hold of the Flame 2015! Forty individuals all fighting to challenge for the World Title at Rise to Greatness!”

The official checks on Davis and AJ drops down and starts to walk back to Regan and Hudson and Mikaela as the scene fades out…
