A shot of Kelcey Wallace nailing Bree Lancaster with the Perfect Ending, followed by a shot of Steve Griffin hitting the Decimator off the top rope on CHBK at the first Rise to Greatness, before turning a shot of Jake Starr pumping up the crowd on his way to the ring, before turning into a shot of Ravyn Taylor sitting in the corner, waiting for the start of a match. We then see a shot of Katie Steward holding the Women’s Championship before cutting to a shot of Selena Frost hitting Vixen Cain with the Defying Gravity at Supreme Saturday: Just Desserts.

MAIN SHOW:

The scene opens up with a live shot of the inside of the SoFi Stadium. The cameras pan across the arena, as some fans cheer, largely ones near ringside, as we see the stadium still filling up with fans, and still half empty. The cameras continue to pan throughout the stadium.

Winters: “Welcome everyone to Los Angeles, California! Welcome everyone to the site of Rise to Greatness XVIII. We are here! The night has finally arrived!”

The cameras cut to show the ring, panning along it before then fading to a section by the stage, showing Jessica Winters with Brittany Lohan and Simon Lyman.

Winters: “Hello again everyone. Jessica Winters here and it is my pleasure to introduce you to the Rise to Greatness preview show. I’m joined here by former SCW World Tag Team Champion, Simon Lyman, and another former Tag Team Champion, in Brittany Lohan. It’s the biggest night in wrestling, isn’t it?”

Lyman: “It’s great to be here for this night and trust me, it is the biggest night in wrestling. We’re still filing in. Bell time not much longer. And it’s the night so many people want to have that great night. It’s a night you want to hit that home run, score the touchdown, get the goal in game seven. Name what you want the analog to be. This is the night people remember.”

Lohan: “Not just that. It’s a night of big opportunity for some. High stakes for others. Bragging rights for others. Everyone competing tonight…they have something that’s personal to them. Something that makes them tick. And something they could lose by not coming through for themselves.”

Winters: “Eighteen years of history at this event. Both of my co-panelists have had their moments. Tonight, we expect many more. Four titles on the line tonight, including the interim US Championship. Talking about history, we could see Christy Matthews finally becoming a Supreme Champion. We could see Ace Marshall walk out as World Champion again from this event, but on the other side, the unbelievable main event as Selena Frost has put it…this is a night she’s wanted. Then the number one contendership for the World Title when Cid Turner and Syren clash. And I’m just getting started.”

Lyman: “That’s putting it mildy!”

Winters: “I’m just getting started and we’ll be taking a closer look at some of the matches you will see tonight. And we’re going to start off with a big one…”

“The Past is Dead” by Beartooth starts to play as the Rise to Greatness logo comes up on the screen. We then see a shot of Mr. D come up before showing a shot of Giovanni Aries then showing both.

Winters: “And it’s the boss in action. A match we never thought we’d see.”

Lyman: “A match I’m not sure we should see.”

Lohan: “And it’s no holds barred. I know a few things about that.”

Winters: “Giovanni Aries looks to take on the man he has called the Lizard King for years. He will get him in the ring, one on one. Mr. D and Giovanni Aries clash tonight.”

The Rise to Greatness logo comes up on the screen.

The scene opens up to see a shot of Mr. D watching one of the SCW shows with his girlfriend, Karina. This cuts to a shot of him shaking hands with Selena Frost in the ring, before showing him talking to Amy Chastaine backstage, and then Kelcey Wallace.

Giovanni: “I hope the blood money is worth it….”

We see a shot of Giovanni Aries forcing himself in the ring before shots of him cackling follow.

Giovanni: “Because that small pittance was WORTH EVERY PENNY for what I SHOWED you and the WORLD at Taking Hold of the Flame.”

The scene cuts to Taking Hold of the Flame in slow motion to see Giovanni dragging Mr. D from the back by the head before cutting to Aries rolling him into the ring.

Sharper: “Giovanni Aries has the boss! What the hell is this?”

We then cut to see Giovanni Aries throwing Mr. D up and over the top rope, before cutting to show it from another angle, showing Mr. D down on the mat, grasping at his legs. Giovanni cackling at ringside follows.

Sharper: “Giovanni Aries eliminating Mr. D from the Taking Hold of the Flame! Making him suffer what Giovanni says everyone else is for his joy.”

Mr. D being helped to the back follows before cutting back to Giovanni in the ring.

Giovanni: “Did you enjoy the pain in your ankle? The rough landing…the destruction on your body from one moment….and these fans lapped it up like the sheep they are. I hope it was all worth it.”

Shots of Mr. D in pain follow before showing him backstage in the trainer’s room in pain. Giovanni is again shown in the ring.

It lined your pocket. Of course it was. That’s all that matters, right? Forty people danced, and you just happened to be part of it. Enjoy the rush…the pain…the SACRIFICE. You know, maybe someone in the front office will…how about that D kid. He’s got a future! Then you can be wasted like Owen Cruze was.”

We cut to show Owen Cruze standing on Mr. D backstage before cutting to a shot of the twitter announcement that Owen Cruze had been released from his contract. We cut to a shot of Giovanni Aries pacing in the ring again.

Giovanni: “But it’s only the start…”

We cut to shots of Giovanni Aries fighting Ace Marshall in a club, before cutting to him driving Jason Helms into the Wonderland. Shots of Giovanni Aries breaking the Chamber structure follow before cutting to shots of Giovanni Aries cackling as he mouths Karina.

Giovanni: “I said you would taste what you’ve done to us all. But it’s ONLY the beginning.”

Giovanni is shown posing in the crowd.

Giovanni: “Enjoy your money. Use it to warm your cold heart by burning it.”

Shots of Mr. D at board meetings follow before showing Mr. D backstage with Jaina.

Jaina: “Many are wondering your thoughts about…that of Giovanni Aries and his comments last week…or his actions at Taking Hold of the Flame.”

Mr. D looks down for a moment before looking at Jaina.

Mr. D: “We’ve fined him for his actions at Taking Hold of the Flame. Otherwise, I have nothing else to say.”

Mr. D walks away before we cut to a shot of Giovanni Aries walking around the ring.

Giovanni: “Because I took hold of MY flame…and at Rise to Greatness…I set a larger fire!”

We then cut to show Giovanni Aries standing in the ring, pouring lighter fluid on his coat before showing him flicking a zippo lighter, lighting it and throwing it on the coat. The coat bursts into flame as Cain Adams and Alice Ames try to prevent security from getting to the ring.

Sharper: “My God! He’s set the ring on fire! And the Wonderland…Adams and Ames…they were running interference!”

Knots: “This was planned. This is sick! Look at him!”

Giovanni: “Are you going to take me seriously?”

The scene cuts to show Giovanni standing the crowd as Giovanni’s voice is heard as the music changes.

Giovanni: “I said he would listen. He wants to keep ignoring me. I’m not going to play anymore.”

Sharper: “What are you talking about?”

Giovanni: “Toronto’s a wonderful city. Maybe we bring this all back full circle!”

We cut to show another shot of Giovanni Aries, this time cutting to shots of Karina in luxury boxes with Mr. D.

Giovanni: “Focus on me Sharper…Knots….I mean, it’s not like you would. D hasn’t. And now…hmm….she’s enjoying some popcorn. I wonder if she’s watching the show.”

Sharper: “You’re a sick man!”

Giovanni: “No! That is the Lizard King himself. HE is the sick one…..no reaction…guess she’s not. What does that say. She’s not even interested in his product she’s going to be leeching off of in the future.”

The scene cuts to Mr. D in the ring, shaking his head.

Mr. D: “Giovanni! You’re clearly watching the show. I had hoped that you would just go away, but it’s clear that this isn’t going to stop until I give you what you want!”

Mr. D looks down, clearly choosing his next words carefully.

Mr. D: “You can destroy this ring. You can keep disrespecting everyone in this company…but…I’m not going to go down this road with this getting personal by you going after my girlfriend again.”

Mr. D looks down, stopping himself.

Mr. D: “This is all going to end. And you know what…it’s all going to end at Rise to Greatness. You’ve bought into this delusion. Thinking I’m some sort of Lizard King when all I’m trying to do is trying to entertain these fans here!”

As Mr. D talks, we see shots of Giovanni Aries threatening Mr. D at the SCW Front Office before cutting to the shot of him throwing the dummy off the roof of the offices, cackling next to it. We then see shots of him getting in Sasha’s face and others.

The crowd cheers.

Mr. D: “Well if this is going to get you to screw off and end this stupid little war…I’ll give you what you want. Me and you, Gio. At Rise to Greatness! We can end this all!”

We cut to see Giovanni Aries then rolling into the ring.

Sharper: “Giovanni was here! He was always here!”

Knots: “He used the one card he knew would get a response and it was always a trap!”

The then nails Mr. D with a microphone, knocking him down. Officials tackle Giovanni Aries down as he cackles.

Sharper: “Mr. D may have just made the biggest mistake of his time in power.”

Knots: “But if he somehow wins?”

Giovanni: “You….Lizard King….I bring it all down at Rise to Greatness….DEATH TO THE LIZARD KINGDOM!”

The video ends with Giovanni Aries cackling and looking at Mr. D after his attack while being held down by officials.

The Rise to Greatness logo comes up on the screen. The cameras pan the crowd for a few moments before cutting to the panel.

Winters: “This is a delusion, a war that has been playing out for Giovanni for years. Mr. D has largely ignored it and frankly, Sasha was even in charge for some of it, but that never stopped Giovanni. Mr. D is the Lizard King and yeah…”

Lyman: “How do you even deal with that? This is a blood feud on one end.”

Lohan: “But it’s personal for both. Giovanni was stalking Mr. D’s girlfriend. He was looking for any way to get under his skin and finally got it this past Breakdown and now…here we are.”

Lyman: “But still, this is atypical of the Mr. D of later years. He’s even pulled himself away. Now back, trying to regain control here, and now has to deal with this. And on top of that. I know, Jessica, you’re going to ask us. Give us our analysis here. What to expect. I don’t know how to answer that.”

Lohan: “No offense Simon, but you’ve been rather straight-laced. I’ll tell you what to expect. Expect Mr. D to fight. That’s all he can do. He’s not going to be chain wrestling. He’s not even going to try and suplex him. He’s going to just bludgeon him with punches, kicks, weapons.”

Winters: “And if Giovanni gets the advantage…”

Lohan chuckles a bit.

Lohan: “Cover up and pray. Giovanni is motivated. Period. He’s looking to make a statement here.”

Lyman: “He’s looking to win his war.”

Winters: “That’s putting it mildly.”

Lyman: “And that’s why I don’t know what to think here.”

Lohan: “The advantage is is that this is no holds barred. And maybe D has something up his sleeve.”

Lyman: “He talk to you?”

Lohan chuckles again.

Lohan: “He wishes. I have other commitments.”

Winters: “So what are we thinking is going to happen here. Who are you picking? For me, I have to say Giovanni.”

Lyman: “I want it to be D. I want Giovanni to get humbled. But…I don’t know how I can say that.”

Lohan smirks.

Lohan: “I’ll pick him. Let’s do it. Giovanni thinks this is a war he has to win. But Mr. D HAS to win to survive. I’ll put it that way. I’ll be the contrarian. I’ll take the points spread.”

Winters: “Braver than Simon and I, eh?”

Lyman: “It’s not brave. I just hope that officials are ready to jump in. This is our boss. Period.”

Winters: “Well we’ll see what happens there. Of course, we are following plenty tonight. And we now are going to go backstage to my colleague, Jaina Lancaster, who will be tracking some of the final news and notes before Rise to Greatness XVIII goes live. Jaina?”

The camera cuts backstage to the SCW interview area and Jaina nods.

Jaina: “Thank you Jessica. We have a couple of stories that we’re working on here, one quite serious actually. We know Nicole Kinneck has arrived in the building, but when our crew went to catch up with her, make sure she knew bell time, she was missing. Her gear is here, but we don’t know where she is.”

Jaina pauses.

Jaina: “We know that the building is large. It’s possible that she wandered off into part of the building we’re not supposed go into. But obviously, some concern here as she is scheduled to face Jordan Majors one on one in underground rules tonight. A big match both her and Jordan Majors put some emphasis on.”

We cut to the panel to see Brittany Lohan bending over and quickly rummaging though her things and grabbing her phone. Jaina continues.

Jaina: “We hope to have some news there before we go on the air, but people are concerned to say the least-“

???: “Concerned?! You shouldn’t be concerned about a virtual child. You should be concerned about what’s going to happen tonight!”

Lucy Huckabee-Sanders walks into the scene with Rudy Powell. He steps forward and thrusts drenched papers in front of Jaina.

Rudy: “These papers ensure you don’t REVEAL any of our secrets as tonight, Ricky James makes his grand return!”

LHS: “You heard him right. Ricky is here and he’s going to make this country rise to their feet and cheer. Finally your hero has returned!”

The crowd boos as Jaina takes the papers and holds them up by her finger and thumb before placing them to the side.

Jaina: “Uh…well…why should we believe you? You’ve been saying this since Retribution.”

LHS: “Did you just call me a liar? Rudy!”

Rudy: “That’s, uh…that’s slander. Do you want to be sued on air? We can do it. We’ll do it. Right now. We’ve come through on EVERY promise. Ricky James has been at every show we promised him at. And he’ll be here tonight.”

LHS mutters something under her breath.

Jaina: “Excuse me, Lucy?”

LHS: “I was having a private conversation with myself. Just focus on the story! Tonight, Ricky James is returning and a better America is on the horizon. You got it! Huh! GET IT! Here in this hippie state….”

LHS walks off, clearly anxious as Rudy turns to Jaina, sticking his finger in his face. She slaps it down and Rudy steps back as Jaina looks at him.

Jaina: “Jessica?”

Jaina watches them leave, disgusted.

Back at the panel, we see Brittany Lohan standing up and walking to the side.

Lohan: “I need to-“

Winters: “Yeah, go.”

Brittany brings her phone to her face as she walks off the panel.

Winters: “Brittany Lohan, a close friend of Nicole Kinneck’s, so looking to help figure things out there. This is big news, as is that, if true, Ricky James could be back.”

Lyman: “Yeah, if he’s here. LHS and Rudy looked a bit anxious. So I wonder what fraud they’re going to pull off tonight. And tonight, with this spotlight…”

Winters: “Indeed. Maybe not even worth talking about. Seems like more par for the course for the two of them.”

Lyman: “Exactly. But Nicole, if she’s out, if he’s missing. If she just switched personalities and just left…Jordan Majors is going to be very angry. That’s obvious. This is a match she wanted. She wanted badly. She even stepped up and called Nicole out after Taking Hold of the Flame when they clashed. And Jordan has gotten a bit of a reality check about who Nicole is. But if all of that comes to tonight and is for not…I don’t think she’s going to handle it well. This is someone who wanted a career-defining moment here. Beating Nicole would do that.”

Winters: “Well said. We just hope that she’s found and safely. And we can enjoy that match.”

Winters pauses for a moment. The scene cuts to show James Exeter walking through the backstage area. The crowd that has filed in cheers.

Winters: “And there you see the Extraordinary One. Not seen in an SCW ring for a long time. He returns tonight, for one night only, to compete in Jake Starr’s final match.”

Lyman: “Talk about a hell of a career there. We’ll celebrate it a bit later tonight. But to see Exeter back. It’s a blast from the past, and I look forward to magic when he and Starr touch on last time.”

Exeter steps to the camera and waves goofily before walking past and continuing on his way.

“The Past is Dead” by Beartooth starts to play as the Rise to Greatness logo comes up on the screen. We then see a shot of Syren come up before showing a shot of Cid Turner then showing both.

Winters: “Meanwhile high stakes on the line in some of the matches tonight. Syren nearly injured at Taking Hold of the Flame. Cid Turner on the hook for it, as is Asher Hayes. Hayes is here tonight to second Cid Turner, returning from suspension. But Syren is looking to break Asher Hayes’s heart, Cid Turner’s heart and earn a title shot. Cid Turner is looking to do what he can to get back the World Title for his friend and with a bit of a twist.”

The Rise to Greatness logo comes up on the screen.

The scene opens up at the 2021 Taking Hold of the Flame. We see a shot of Syren in the ring as Asher Hayes also is in the ring. Cid Turner is at ringside. We cut to show Asher Hayes confidently looking at ringside, having just eliminated Jordan Majors before Syren runs up behind Asher and dropkicks him in the back of the head. Asher goes up and over and lands on the floor. The crowd cheers.

Sharper: “And not quite Taking Hold of the Flame winner Asher!”

Knots: “Syren eliminating Asher Hayes! Dark Fantasy always a thorn in the side of A/C Unit!”

Sharper: “And we’re down to three! Syren, amazingly, at over an hour!”

We cut to see Asher Hayes in a rage before we see Syren going up and over the top rope to the apron, having been knocked back by Ace Marshall. Asher yells at officials at ringside as Cid is pleading with them too, but Asher then pushes one down and runs around the steel steps. Syren starts to get up and Asher climbs up onto the apron and grabs her. Before Syren can even figure out what’s going on, Asher Hayes places her head between his legs and drops Syren with a piledriver on the apron.

Sharper: “No! No! No! No!”

Cid yells out “No!” as Syren falls to the mats and Asher sits on the apron. Officials run over to check on Syren, while a couple grab Asher and pull him away from Syren.

Sharper: “Asher Hayes, in a fit of rage, just piledrove Syren!”

Knots: “And Syren never got back in. She’s eliminated too, but she’s got a history of neck problems!”

Sharper: “Cid even is stunned. Asher Hayes is just yelling at Syren.”

Asher: “Rise to Greatness was mine! I was supposed to be World Champion. ME! ME!”

We cut to a shot of Syren being helped out of the ringside area on a stretcher. CHBK and Ravyn Taylor checking on her as we see Alexander Crowe trying to get to Asher Hayes and Cid Turner. The scene cuts to the backstage area of the following Breakdown, holding his phone in front of him.

Asher: “We won the war. We became Tag Team Champions! We became World Champion. Cid…don’t you see it. I saw through it all. Syren was going to win everyone over, do things legit. Please…she was pulling out something-“

Cid: “Something? She looked like she was getting back in the ring-“

Asher: “Something. A chain, a knife, a gun. I don’t know. I SAVED the world. And Ace Marshall should be giving us his main event. But that’s another issue. Just-“

Cid: “This doesn’t make sense. You tried to end her career-“

Asher: “Cid. Cid…I may be suspended, but dude, you gotta step up. Help me out here. I don’t ask you for much. I mean you helped me win the World Title, and then you lost it…but you need to call out Syren. You NEED to finish this. It’s full circle. Just like you beat Chad at Retribution. Just like you put that behind you and stepped up…yeah, stepped up…we need to step past the other remaining FAILURE…and that’s Syren.”

Cid just looks forward.

Asher: “You got me? I can’t be there, but when I clear this suspension, we’ll take her out together!”

Cid: “Well…I…I guess…”

Asher: “Just talk to Holly.”

The scene cuts to Cid talking to Holly backstage.

Cid: “Well…Asher…he wants me to take out Syren. You know Syren. You were friends with her and last year…you weren’t in our lives and Asher…he really wants this.”

Holly: “Cid…please…it’s Syren. She’s going to come right for you or anyone else if she’s pissed off enough. You want to beat her. She has more heart than anyone…break her heart. It’s how she’s never been the same since I left Infamous.”

Cid: “Oh…okay…okay…”

We see Cid Turner, wearing a tie around his neck, sitting halfway in front of his straggly beard.

Sharper: “What in the world…”

Cid also has a collection of random flowers, we’re not sure where they were found. He also has a bottle of water, a heart drawn in a sharpie on it. He then walks over to the Infamous locker room. He takes another deep breath and knocks on the door. He then looks around, eying the hallway awkwardly, trying not to be too nervous. The door opens and Syren opens it and looks at Cid, a look of pure anger in her eyes.

Syren: “I want nothing from you…but one thing…I already know you’re going to do Asher Hayes’ bidding. It’s all you know. Loyalty and all. Well…I remember a year ago you said you were going to come back and beat Dark Fantasy. That’s off the table. Now you have to deal with me. So Cid…all I want from you is one match at Rise to Greatness. Asher Hayes can then watch what happens when someone threatens MY career…I wonder how he’ll do without his meal ticket!”

Syren steps back and slams the door in Cid’s face. Cid steps back. He looks around and then nods. We then cut to show Syren in the ring.

Syren: “I know that Asher is probably going to be in your ear and it’s already started. I watched the show back. Don’t know if you even knew you could do that since it’s so clear they’re manipulating you, but claiming this is about fate, after last year you were going to come back after Ravyn and I. Come after Dark Fantasy.”

We cut to see Asher Hayes talking to Cid Turner last year, trying to help him out. Shots of Cid Turner returning to Rise to Greatness are shown including a shot of Dark Fantasy celebrating their win over A/C Unit at Rise to Greatness XVII.

Syren: “Any idea of overcoming us was gone the moment Asher Hayes tried to end my GOD DAMN CAREER!”

Syren looks at the camera.

Syren: “And if you’re coming to fight for him, Cid…know that I plan to do everything I can to make you a failure again. And there won’t be a Taking Hold of the Flame battle royal to help you try to make things right when you fall short. There won’t be an opportunity to help Asher get to the end. Even if Asher Hayes stands at ringside, all you’ll be offering him is the chance to see your failure FIRST HAND.”

Again, we cut backstage to see Cid Turner talking on speakerphone with Asher Hayes.

Asher: “Look, Cid, I don’t know what you were trying to do last week, but it was brilliant.”

Cid: “Well thanks…you could’ve said that earlier. I mean I could’ve then at least dealt with the fact that Syren went out there and wants to practically murder me. That’s n-“

Asher: “Brilliant, huh? Going up to her as if asking her out just to needle her. I mean who would ever want to get with that. It’s why Crowe and Ravyn are perfect for each other. Trash groups together! But it got under her skin and she’s going to come at you and she’s never been good angry.”

The scene cuts forward.

Asher: “Just figure something else out. Wait….you know what, I’ll help you out. I got an idea for next week. Something to really piss her off. Try it again. Get under her skin. We wanted this a year ago. It’s all coming circle.”

Cid: “Well, I don’t know if I want to make her angry more. She’s a good kind of angry. I’m just looking to…you know, get her heart. Like Holly said.”

We then cut to the following week where Syren is facing Holly Adams. Syren turns as we cut to the floor by the stage to see a shot of a hot pink convertible being driven by Cid Turner. A bow is on the hood of the car. Cid just half-heartedly waves as he drives the car forward. Syren turns and walks over to the ropes by the entrance way, confused.

Sharper: “What in the world…is…that’s a hot pink convertible….it’s hideous!”

Knots: “It’s got a bow on it. I think Asher bought this for Cid to give to Syren as a gift.”

We then cut to see Cid Turner trying to get Syren’s attention. Syren walks around the ring, before we cut to see Syren running at Cid.

Sharper: “Well looks like she’s going to focus on Cid again!”

Syren runs over to him and nails him with a forearm shot and then another before kicking him in the ribs. Syren then rears back and goes to nail Cid, but Cid blocks it and holds his hand up.

Cid: “Hey! I’m not Asher-“

Syren attempts the Total Makeover on Cid, but Cid shoves her back before Holly nails her from behind. The crowd ohs. We then see Cid Turner lifting and carrying Syren over to the corner, placing her on her feet, before Holly shoves Cid back, slamming Syren to the car hood. We then cut to show Holly throwing Syren into the car, shattering the windshield. The crowd ohs. Cid just looks stunned.

Cid: “What did you do?”

Holly: “Just sent a message not to mess with us. Threaten Asher. Threaten us. You finish the job at Rise to Greatness! Don’t screw it up!”

Cid looks at Syren who rolls over, blood coming down her face and even dripping back into her hair as she leans back. “Hate” by Plush then starts to play. We see Cid Turner on the apron during his match against Xander Valentine as Syren, bandaged up, running down to the ring.

Sharper: “Syren! Syren from the back!”

Knots: “Ghosts of earlier this night coming to haunt Cidnay!”

We see shots of Syren pushing Cid off the apron into the barricade, before cutting to shots of her attacking Cid Turner and then diving off the top rope and landing on Cid Turner. Shots of her hitting the dive off the top rope onto Cid come from alternate angles.

We then cut to show Cid Turner and Syren in the middle of the ring.

Cid: “Well…not so much. Look, Asher….he got excited. I got excited. To face you…and well….he went too far. Totally too far. Oh wait, you like the word totally…just…”

Cid takes a deep breath.

Cid: “And then Holly. She went too far too. Look, I don’t want to kill you! I don’t want to end your career. I may want to beat you. But uh…oh God….”

Syren: “This is supposed to be what? Making me feel sorry? What’s the misunderstanding-“

Cid: “Look, I buy into the destiny, okay! You and I…one on one. After everything…and well….look, I…”

Syren: “This is pathetic-“

Cid: “I think there’s a future with us!”

The crowd roars as Syren just looks at Cid stunned as the music plays again in the background.

The music pauses again.

Syren: “I’m married! And you…you…with Asher…What the hell is wrong with you?!”

Jessica: “Since I have you here and I’m not even sure what next to expect…I do have an announcement to make regarding your match at Rise to Greatness.”

The crowd cheers as Syren just looks at Cid, now shaking her head. Cid just turn to her, openly saying “What?!”

Jessica: “This match between Cid Turner and Syren at Rise to Greatness will be to crown the next challenger to the SCW World Championship!”

The crowd roars. Cid just looks at Syren as Syren smiles. She walks back to Jessica.

Syren: “I can’t wait to kick your ass and earn a title shot and FORCE Asher Hayes to watch from the sidelines.”

The chorus plays as we see Cid pulling out his phone as it rings only for Syren to swat it down. We see Syren then stomp on the phone before Cid grabs her to go for the Sovereign Takeover, only for Syren to get free. We cut to shots of Syren attacking Cid, before showing Cid again accidentally slamming Syren into the car.

Asher: “Hey! Syren! Miss me?”

We cut to see Syren being thrown into the backdrop of the interview area. Syren falls over and rolls over. We then see Asher Hayes stepping over and pulling the top of the backdrop and throwing it down on Syren. We then cut to see Cid Turner in the ring surprised before showing Asher Hayes stomping away on Syren laughing.

Asher: “See you at Rise to Greatness. Cid’s going to get me my title shot!”

The last word echoes before the scene fades to black.

The Rise to Greatness logo comes up on the screen. A live shot returns, panning the crowd, showing the lower bowl starting to fill up more before cutting to the panel.

Winters: “Syren and Cid Turner, two legends in SCW, going at it and as I said, a twist. This is a match before Asher Hayes’ actions was personal. Last year, Dark Fantasy and A/C Unit facing each other. Cid and Asher promised to beat Dark Fantasy. Now, a year later, it’s singles, but also Cid Turner likes Syren?”

Lyman: “I can’t speak to that. Syren’s taken anyway. But it just shows how complicated Cid’s life is. He’s got on one hand, he’s coming out of a title run and him, in his mind, letting Asher Hayes down and now fighting for him, but he wants to get closer to Syren and actually, I think he’s legitimate. You were in the ring when he said it.”

Winters: “I don’t know what to think there.”

Lyman: “But then on the side, Asher Hayes tried to piledrive Syren. He was suspended. Cid Turner did nothing to stop him, and Syren, she’s been turning over a new leaf. She’s been fighting her own fights. Taking Hold of the Flame was a showcase for her. She almost went the distance. She wants that title shot she’s been fighting for for years.”

Winters: “A lot on the line here. Who do you think has the edge?”

Lyman: “If this was one on one, flip a coin. Syren is one of the best ever and I’m not talking about the extracurriculars. She’s as driven as ever, trying to do things the right way. Cid Turner has shown he’s a once in a lifetime talent. He came back after how long and dominated. The X-factor…is Asher going to get involved and then…will Infamous?”

Winters: “Still think Infamous is a concern?”

Lyman: “Will be until they’re not. Syren may have turned over a new leaf, but I think it’s totally defensible to not trust it and that’s on Syren. That’s on what she’s done for years.”

Winters: “Great point. Let’s now go backstage…Brittany Lohan is there.”

Backstage, Brittany Lohan is manhandling a crew member.

Lohan: “What do you mean she’s gone? You didn’t have someone watching her. She probably got overwhelmed!”

Lohan throws her back as she looks around before turning back.

Lohan: “Get people down there. Maybe she got in the catacombs. I don’t know!”

Lohan turns as Jordan Majors watches her from a distance. Lohan turns to her.

Lohan: “This your plan?”

Majors: “You want to start throwing fists, we can do that here. I’m as pissed as you are. I came to fight here and beat her. I came here to prove something and I can’t do that if she’s gone!”

Lohan looks at Majors, not saying anything, just seething. She turns and walks off as Jordan Majors turns to the crew members. She then turns back.

Majors: “Better find her…”

The scene cuts away.

Winters: “Tensions rising backstage. Meanwhile, Gavin Sattler is standing by with Christy Matthews!”

The scene opens outside of one of the locker rooms to see Gavin Sattler wearing a supremecw.com t-shirt, standing next to Christy.

Sattler: “Thank you Jessica. Christy, last night, you surprised the world. You ran out to help your former tag partner Lucas Knight. Order of Chaos reforming? Is that what we’re thinking? But right before your interim US title match tonight?”

Matthews: “Sometimes you need to do the right thing. Sometimes…you just realize who matters. It’s that simple. I knew Chris wasn’t there. I get it. With Sienna. I may hate Sienna. That’s not here or there. Lucas was alone and I was not going to watch him get manhandled.”

???: “Well, that’s a problem…”

Christy looks up as Tommy Valentine comes into view. Christy brings her hands up to be sure.

Tommy: “Relax Christy…I’m alone…at least right now.”

Matthews: “Say what you came to say.”

Tommy: “You made a mistake last night. A big one. And I don’t notice Christopher here. Or any other help. And if you don’t want to feel the full force of the Jackals…especially on this night. We’ve known each other a long time. You know what I’m capable of and you’ve seen what they are. Don’t tempt us.”

Tommy turns and walks off as Christy watches him leave as the scene fades to black.

We see the sun shining before showing a shot of palm trees, people gathered on a beach, and shots of Syren walking down the street with Ravyn Taylor. This is followed by a shot of Kelcey Wallace talking with Owen Cruze and Peyton Rice. Regan Street can be seen walking along the pier with David Helms. Sienna Swann is seen standing on a balcony with Chris Cannon walking out and wrapping his arms around her waist. We see overhead shots of the Los Angeles skyline before cutting to shots of the Hollywood sign and then Kandis driving down the street in a convertible with Tommy Valentine smirking. We cut to see a behind-the-scenes shot of a boom camera rising up and showing a shot of Shaun Cruze talking to Kennedy Street. Dylan Howell then then shown running on set and waving as the camera angle changes to the boom camera as the scene starts to pull away before zooming out and showing the Rise to Greatness XVIII logo.

Rise to Greatness XVIII, July 25, 2021”

LAST NIGHT:

Raab turns and runs at her and Zdunich pulls the top rope down and Raab goes up and over. Diamond starts to get up and sets up and swings, but Zdunich ducks and then grabs her by the head and jumps up, hitting the Flame On!

Winters: “Last night, Crystal Zdunich managed to outlast three others to earn a shot at the Adrenaline Championship!”

Lyman: “She came in with a lot of hype last year. It’s been a long year, but maybe everything is clicking this weekend for her!”

Zdunich turns and hooks the leg.

The crowd erupts in cheers as Zdunich rolls over and Raab crawls into the ring. Zdunich rolls to the floor. She throws her arm up.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Crystal Zdunich!”

Raab looks at Zdunich, breathing heavily through his mask. The official raises Zdunich’s arm as Zdunich keeps her arm up. The crowd cheers her as Caldwell joins Zdunich and celebrates with her, embracing her and hugging her before holding her arm up.

The Rise to Greatness logo comes up on the screen before we cut backstage where Jaina Lancaster stands with Crystal Zdunich who stands with Alexandra Caldwell.

Jaina: “Welcome back backstage here. I’m with Crystal Zdunich and Crystal, you had a great win last night. You now are in line for an Adrenaline Championship shot on an upcoming edition of Breakdown. First, how do you feel, and second, tonight, TLC, three competitors. Who would you rather face?”

Crystal: “I feel great. Simply put. I have said that I was going to find a way to rise to the top of SCW and finally, it all clicked and it felt great. No excuses. Nothing. Just coming up in a big way that I knew I could.”

Crystal pauses.

Crystal: “As for whoever wins tonight…Shilo Valiant, Cassidy Carter….Holly Adams. I almost wish Datura was in there for fun. But…whoever it is, be ready because the Burning Rose is ready to take more gold!”

Crystal smiles at the camera before we cut away.

The scene reopens with shots of fans in the Sofi Stadium. “The Past is Dead” plays in the background as the cameras pan across the crowd.

Winters: “Big night for her last night. Tonight, Adrenaline Title on the line in the TLC match. Shilo Valiant announcing that for his show, as he puts it. Datura out though thanks to an injury, because of Holly. This is a big night there. Another big match tonight.”

“The Past is Dead” by Beartooth starts to play as the Rise to Greatness logo comes up on the screen. We then see a shot of Minerva come up before showing a shot of Chris Cannon then showing both.

Lyman: “Yeah…but nothing bigger than what we’re about to talk about.”

Winters: “That’s one way to put it. As personal as ever. It started when Minerva attacked Peyton Rice in Chris Cannon’s home. Tonight, last person standing, Cannon vs. Minerva!”

We cut back to the March 4, 2021 edition of Breakdown. She walks out in just shorts and a t-shirt, whoever is filming this looks down at their hand holding a lead pipe, Peyton turns into the living room not noticing the person hiding by the wall next to the fireplace.

Peyton: “Bear? How did you get outside boy? I don’t remember leaving this open and….”

Suddenly the assailant rushes behind Peyton and cracks her right knee with the lead pipe, she quickly falls to the floor screaming in pain, the person stands over her and slams the lead pipe again over and over on Peyton’s knee as she screams, muddled by the barking of Bear outside trying to rush into the house but cannot. The person stands over her as Peyton rolls around on the floor, her knee obviously severely damaged, now crying in pain. We cut to show Minerva then striking Peyton across the jaw, knocking her out.

Minerva: “Not just another Pretty Face, with a broken jaw that is.”

She licks the side of Peyton’s cheek before dropping her head to a thud. She turns and digs in Peyton’s jean shorts taking out her cellphone, she holds it to her face to open it, then goes through the contacts and sees Kelcey’s name, she calls…

Kelcey: “Hey Pey.”

Minerva: “It’s not Pey, come over, she needs help.”

Kelcey: “Excuse me!? Who is this!?”

Minerva: “Inevitability.”

Minerva hangs up the phone and throws it on Peyton’s chest, she then takes out a rose and places it on top of her, before standing up and glaring into the camera with her icy blue eyes, the barking of Bear can still be heard in the background.

Minerva: “You have an incredibly beautiful home here Mr. Cannon, love the beach view. Don’t worry, I’ll clean up.”

STATIC

We cut to see Chris Cannon watching backstage with Lucas Knight.

Lucas: “She’s trying to get to you…to…”

Chris: “I know damn well what she’s trying. I know damn well what they’re doing. To call Kelcey. With everything else….”

Lucas: “You call it here, Chris…”

We then cut to shots of Minerva standing at the ring, watching as Konrad Raab attacks Josh Hudson in the ring. Shots of Chris Cannon trying to get his hands on Minerva follow before showing Chris Cannon at Retribution as Cid Turner covers him.

The crowd boos as we cut to see Chris Cannon wincing in pain as Cid Turner holds the SCW World Championship.

Phillips: “Ladies and gentlemen, here are your winners, the NEW SCW World Tag Team Champions, Cid Turner and Asher Hayes, A/C Unit…and the NEW SCW World Champion….Cid Turner!”

We cut several weeks forward to show Mr. D talking to Chris Cannon in his locker room, handing him two contracts before cutting to show Chris Cannon walking to the ring.

Sharper: “Last week, on this program, Chris Cannon was given a choice. He can guarantee a World Title match or he can get his shot against Minerva at Rise to Greatness. Not both.”

Knots: “At least not yet. The boss was clear; he doesn’t want Minerva anywhere close the World Title ranks. But Chris was trying to do both and he knew that’s surefire failure.”

We cut to show Chris Cannon in the ring.

Cannon: “This was not an easy choice. I’m not going to deny that I still feel that Retribution…there’s unfinished business there. Spearing Asher through the set felt good, but it’s not the same as holding the title I chased for years. And then there’s Minerva and what she did to Peyton Rice…what she did to her in MY house.”

Shots of Chris Cannon holding the SCW World Championship are cut with shots of Minerva attacking Peyton Rice. Cannon stops and looks at the two contracts. He then drops one of the envelopes.

Cannon: “I cannot pass this up. I cannot pass up the opportunity to deal with something BEYOND the professional. Something that’s become PERSONAL. I said I’d need forgiveness. And I know I may need it. But Minerva, by God, I will make sure you don’t win Taking Hold of the Flame and I will see you at Rise to Greatness to get EVERY bit of revenge Peyton Rice is owed!”

The crowd roars. We then cut to Taking Hold of the Flame, we see Chris Cannon falling into the corner as Minerva then throws a fireball in Lucas Knight’s face. He falls back as Chris turns and Konrad grabs him and hits the Frozen Pin. The footage speeds up to show the pin before we cut to shots of Minerva and Raab dragging Chris throug the crowd. We then cut to him moving to a waiting car. They place Chris in the trunk before we see them driving away.

Sharper: “Raab is taking Chris Cannon! Where is he taking him?”

Knots: “We need to get people to stop them!”

STATIC

The scene opens up to show Chris Cannon tied up to kitchen cabinets, his arms behind him and Cannon awkwardly positioned.

Minerva: “Aww…sleeping peacefully….wakey-wakey…”

Minerva walks over and slaps Chris a couple of times as she steps back. Cannon groans and stirs before Minerva slaps him again. Chris’s eyes open and he turns and pulls, realizing he’s been tied to the cabinet.

Minerva: “There you go…now you’re awake. Do you know where we are?’

Chris: “You son of a bitch.”

Minerva: “Nuh-uh-uh…don’t be like that…”

Minerva gets up close to Chris.

Minerva: “Figured I’d let you know I can come in whenever I please.”

Static comes up again before we see Minerva touring Chris’s house.

Minerva: “Just imagine what I can do to you, while you’re tied up…”

Minerva gets up and straddles Chris awkwardly as Chris struggles and pushes her back. She then laughs and falls over and rolls over, getting up. She then turns, now distanced from Chris.

Minerva: “I mean…if I wanted to hurt you, I could have already. Why would I bring you back here…maybe I made a few calls.”

Chris stops and looks at Minerva.

Minerva: “Who would you fear me attacking? Who would you have a problem with?”

Minerva laughs a bit to herself, leaning back, such that we can see her feet in front of her as she presumably leans on something as Chris’s eyes dart. We then hear a pound at the door. Minerva turns to the door.

Minerva: “Who could that be? Who, Chris?”

Chris: “You better not have…”

Minerva: “Who would I have called? Who do you fear most is behind that door?”

STATIC

“Bruised and Bloodied” by Seether starts to play as we see Chris Cannon in the ring, microphone in his hand. We see flashes of Minerva’s war with Lucas Knight, before showing her and Lucas fighting, before the shots of the fire, before cutting to show Minerva smiling in the ring. We cut back to show Chris Cannon.

Chris: “I can’t win on my terms. And then to say I never saw it coming…well, allow me to give you something you may have seen coming, but after Rise to Greatness…I’ll make you experience the dark yourself at Rise to Greatness. I’m making one demand…not to you Minerva, but it’s going to be what you want. I’m coming to your domain….D….make it a last person standing match!”

We cut to shots of Chris Cannon standing in the ring, ready to fight, looking out at the crowd. Shots of him talking to Peyton Rice backstage, before cutting to showing him with Sienna Swann and Kelcey Wallace at different points of his caree.r

We cut to see Minerva smirking, leading Konrad Raab to the ring before showing her standing in the ring with Drake Hemingway, Kandis, Tommy Valentine and Konrad Raab. This follows with a shot of Minerva spewing the Dark into the eyes of Lucas Knight.

Shots of Minerva striking Peyton Rice in the house attack are followed by shots of Chris Cannon running into the burning house to save Lucas Knight. We see Minerva standing in the ring, glaring right at the camera.

Minerva: “You actually saved me…It will be the biggest mistake you ever made. Superman Lives…I’ve heard people say. No, Superman is a fool!…”

We cut to see Chris Cannon coming to the ring.

Chris: “The fact that you’re out pissed off because I saved your life shows me just how pathetic you are. How warped you are. While some people want to see the world burn, I’ve been on that side. I’ve been on the side of spite for too long. Pardon me for not wanting to see people die because this has already gone too God damned far!”

We cut to show a shot of Cannon and Lucas Knight rushing the ring, with Minerva and the Jackals in the ring, officials keeping them apart.

Minerva: “So did you save me because it was right or because you wanted your precious revenge!”

Chris: “Does it matter?”

Drake pulls the microphone back.

Drake: “No, Chris. And don’t worry. I’ll be there to watch this all first hand…as all the Jackals will be!“

The chaotic scene continues to play out as Minerva’s line is heard again.

Minerva: “So did you save me because it was right or because you wanted your precious revenge!”

Revenge echoes as the music abruptly stops and the scene cuts to black.

The Rise to Greatness logo comes up on the screen. The camera pans across the panel as Jessica Winters and Simon Lyman greet us again.

Winters: “Chris Cannon giving up an immediate title shot for this. Is it going to be worth it for him?”

Lyman: “It tells you how serious this became. It tells you also something about Chris. He stepped up for his people, the people he felt responsible, but also his family. There are sometimes bigger things and the boss was right. The World Title scene did not need Minerva. But now, Chris has to step up and come at Minerva. He’s giving her what she wants. A playground to do what she wants. Chris…he better be ready.”

Winters: “Superman shedding his cape, but revenge at its core.”

Lyman: “That can be a powerful motivator. The question is whether the Jackals will be a factor or not. Even still, Lucas Knight here. Christy Matthews. There are others. But this is a night where the high stakes of so many means you can only count on one person…yourself and Chris Cannon, when he’s on, he can beat anyone. He finally became World Champion this year. He will be again. But he needs to send a message to Minerva that this will not continue on his watch!”

The camera pans back as Brittany Lohan returns to the table and sits down. Simon and Jessica turn to her.

Winters: “Brittany Lohan returning to us. Brittany, do you have an update?”

Lohan: “Apparently, I’m hampering their ability to do things well. I’m a little on edge. Sorry that my friend has been missing and I’m a bit PISSED off!”

Lyman: “They’ll find her. This is Rise to Greatness. And she can’t have gone far.”

Lohan: “Yeah…”

Winters: “Let’s go backstage where Gavin Sattler is with a special guest.”

Lyman: “Oh! I know this one!”

The scene cuts away.

Gavin Sattler stands with Amy Chastaine backstage. Amy smiles as Gavin turns to her. We see a couple of wrestlers standing behind her.

Sattler: “Thanks Jessica. I’m here with Amy Chastaine. First, great to see you here. You also are not alone.”

Amy: “Great to be here. And I’m not. In fact, I had an opportunity to bring some of the talent from BlackOut Academy. SCW nice enough to give them a chance to compete in the SCW ring in the Fanfest, just to get a small taste of what could await for them. I know some scouts were there to take a look, but it’s always nice to share this with the future.”

Sattler: “Speaking of the Future, what is in the future, for you, for SCW. You give your thoughts on your blog.”

Amy: “I hope some change and for the better. Seeing certain people doing whatever they want…that needs to change. It’s why I teach the future the right way to do things. By having respect for yourself and your opponents. It’s why I’ve brought in good people. And it’s why it has to happen however it does.”

Amy pauses.

Amy: “I also hope to see some good wrestling and I’m looking forward to a few matches. Seeing Kennedy and Bree deal with Ravyn for one. Or seeing what happens when Selena and Ace clash. Should be a fun night and with some of the trainees here…they can get something else to drive them going forward.”

Sattler: “Thanks for your time, Amy. Enjoy the show.”

Amy nods.

Sattler: “Jessica?”

The scene cuts back to the panel. Lyman smiles.

Lyman: “Great to see that Amy could get that arranged.”

Winters: “Always great to see some fresh face as the talent pool hopefully gets deeper and-“

Katie Steward then marches onto the stage with the panel and walks forward.

Winters: “Uh…Katie Steward? What can I do for you?’

Katie looks around and grabs Lyman’s headset and pulls it over before talking into the microphone.

Katie: “What can you do for me? How about showing me some respect by giving me some air time. I’ve been here since 2005. This is a night that’s special to me. A night where I’ve stood tall and even the future, Gigi, she’s stood tall. And I’m left on the preshow.”

Katie sighs and shakes her head.

Katie: “Just not good enough and I know, I know, you don’t want to endure the wrath of your Goddess. You want to make sure she’s happy, but you need to sometimes try. I mean, it’s not hard. Just have someone come out, kiss my feet. Or someone else could hold my crown while I compete…or find someone worthy to compete FOR me. That all would be best, but I’m disappointed. Having to-“

Purity Pixie then comes onto the set, standing on the opposite side of the panel.

Purity: “Enough!”

Katie: “Oh Goddess…the fae are after me now!”

Purity: “I thought you’d maybe get the hint last night. This is not how you have to do things!”

Katie just smiles.

Katie: “It’s how I do things. Just because you got lucky last night!”

Purity: “Do we have to do another round? Can’t you see there’s a better way.”

Katie: “Yes…MY WAY. And I’m going to keep doing it that way.”

Purity sighs.

Purity: “This is just beyond help. You’re going to keep falling down the mountain and that’s fine for-“

Just then, we see a large bald man running over and jumping up and landing on the back of Purity, sandwiching her into the desk. Purity falls to the floor as the man backs up. He then looks at her as Katie backs up. TJ Johnson runs into view, pulling Katie back. Brittany stands up as Lyman goes around to check on Purity Pixie.

Winters: “What is the meaning of this?!”

The man looks at Purity Pixie before turning around before we see Martin Howe III stepping over.

Winters: “Martin Howe III…what is the meaning of this?”

Martin Howe III gets the man’s attention. He laughs a bit before saying something to him. The man turns away as Katie backs up. Howe turns to TJ Johnson and Katie Steward.

Howe: “Maybe we can be of service.”

Howe laughs.

Howe: “Don’t get undertaken by the Tsunami!”

Howe backs up as Purity holds her ribs in pain. Lyman checks on her as the scene fades out to black.

Rise to Greatness XVIII, July 25, 2021”

Backstage, Jaina Lancaster stands with Lexy Chapel, dressed in a ringmaster’s outfit, in front of the Lexy’s Angels’ dressing room.

Jaina: “I am backstage with Lexy Chapel who is going to be managing clients in three title matches tonight.”

Chapel: “It’s Lexcellent, isn’t it?”

Jaina: “Uh…yeah…and last night, we noticed you were surprisingly quiet. Didn’t get involved in the tag situation that saw the three other teams getting involved. Ace Marshall quiet. Even Cassidy Carter-“

Chapel: “Why? Do we need to be loud all the time? DO YOU WANT ME TO YELL AT THE TOP OF MY LUNGS? Well I don’t have to. Tonight, Lexy Chapel Present Rise to LEXY! Or Chapel….or LEXCELLENCE. Whatever. I’ll figure it out. We didn’t need to say more. We are the symbol of LEXCELLENCE and it’s all going to come together. Adrenaline title, Tag Titles, Television Title and World Title, all presented by Lexy Chapel. Why talk more? Why am I doing this interview? Why don’t I just get ready to go out there? Because I ALREADY AM and tonight, history will be made. Everyone who turned me away will be shown to be a fool. LEXY CHAPEL PRESENTS THE WORLD!”

The crowd roars before a door slams and Lexy turns back as Cassidy Carter storms past both Lexy and Jaina. Lexy sees her go.

Chapel: “Gotta go!”

Lexy turns and runs after Cassidy.

Chapel: “Wait up!”

Jaina: Jessica?”

The scene cuts to a wide shot of the crowd, now nearly complete full. They cheer as the cameras pass over them.

Winters: “Things calming down here. But…we’re already ready to go. Rise to Greatness XVIII about to start. The crowd almost fully in their seats.”

Lyman: “The countdown is starting. The butterflies coming up. And here we go.”

Lohan: “Time for people to feel alive.”

Winters: “And we could see some history tonight. Ace Marshall, the first two time Taking Hold of the Flame winner, he will face Selena Frost for the World Title.”

Lyman: “This could be a classic. We get on Ace’s case, but he shows up for the big matches.”

Lohan: “And Selena always does.”

“The Past is Dead” by Beartooth starts to play as the Rise to Greatness logo comes up on the screen. We then see a shot of Ace Marshall come up before showing a shot of Selena Frost then showing both.

Sharper: “Selena Frost seeks to compete in her Unbelievable Main Event. Ace Marshall looks to win the World Title again, this time for the banner of LexyCorp. Our main event here tonight for Rise to Greatness! Enjoy the show…let’s take a look.”

The Rise to Greatness logo comes up on the screen.

The opening riffs of “The Past is Dead” by Beartooth starts to play in the background.

Turn the lights down let me think clearly
Everything is such a blur these days
Made the right sound
Finally you hear me
Think I'm feeling ok

Taking Hold of the Flame comes up on the screen as Owen Cruze springboards up and jumps forward to wrap his legs around the head of Ace, but Ace blocks it and pushes him off and Owen backflips through to the floor and falls into the barricade as the crowd roars. Cookie points at Owen and then calls for the bell. The bell sounds as Lexy jumps up and down, now fully focused on her client.

Phillips: “Here is your winner of the 2021 Taking Hold of the Flame…Ace Marshall!”

The crowd roars a bit as several still remain focused on Syren. Lexy enters the ring and jumps up and down before running over and kissing Ace right on the lips. She then turns away and quickly motions to him that it was nothing more before she raises his arm. Ace falls to a knee, wincing in pain. The scene changes to show Selena in the corner. Cid turns and runs after and Selena gets a boot up. Cid staggers back. Selena then runs out and Cid grabs her and throws her down into an inside cradle, but Selena rolls through and into one of her own!

The crowd cheers as Cid rolls over as Selena rolls over and to her knees, bringing her hands to her face.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, and NEW SCW World Champion, Selena Frost!”

Deanna enters the ring and runs over to Selena, embracing her. Cid, meanwhile, is in the referee’s face, pleading with him, claiming it was two. Cid, on his knees, follows Demitra as he goes to the corner and is handed the World Championship.

Sharper: “Selena did it! She did it!”

We cut to Selena proudly holding the SCW World Championship over her head.

We cut to see Selena Frost in the ring, looking as Lexy Chapel stands in the ring, arms extending before

Lexy: “So think about this…up in lights…LEXY CHAPEL PRESENTS…Ace Marshall vs. Selena Frost! The first WHOLLY Lexy Chapel Production. The LEXCELLENT Main event, wholly made up of Lexy’s Angels!”

Selena: “I don’t need Lexy Chapel presenting me. I don’t need her signing me up for agreements to be a hit person without telling me. I don’t need her focusing more on merchandising then what I’m here for and that is THIS.”

Lexy: “Just hope you’re not going to embarrass anyone like when Regan beat YOU with everything on the line…BELIEVE IT!...Cause Lexy does!”

Lexy smiles and turns and heads off. Selena just watches as Lexy heads off. Jessica turns to her. Selena turns to the microphone as Lexy smiles as she heads to the back.

Selena: “Doubt me all you want…I’ve beat Ace Marshall before and I’ll do it and complete my DREAM. BELIEVE IT!”

Selena shakes her head as Lexy heads to the back.

Open up now give me some feeling

We then cut to shots of Ace Marshall holding the SCW World Tag Team Championship. We cut to shots of Lexy Chapel clutching the World Tag Team Championship, before showing shots of Ace Marshall backing away from Shilo Valiant, before showing shots of Katsumi Yashidi and Cassidy Carter. Lexy Chapel smiling follows.

We cut to shots of Ace Marshall facing Glory Braddock before cutting to show Gavin Taylor attacking Glory Braddock. We then see Ace Marshall hitting Glory with the One Eyed Royal and then pinning her. We then cut to show Lexy Chapel paying Gavin in a stack of cash and a business card.

We cut to see Selena Frost backstage before Lexy Chapel gets in her face. We then see Ace Marshall smirking in the background. We cut forward to see Ace Marshall attacking Selena from behind, knocking her down.

We cut to show shots of Ace Marshall holding the SCW World Championship from his past reigns before showing him smiling and then showing Lexy Chapel celebrating with Ace Marshall at Taking Hold of the Flame. We then cut to show Selena Frost holding the World Title.

Let it go

Ace: “I’m not carrying a naïve half-wit to the World Championship. I’m not trying to deal with a Sexy, Flawless Airhead who thinks she’s actually amazing. I’ve made the World Title picture my bitch for this year. And now, I’ll just take it and so I can have some more fun.”

Ace looks at Selena as the two go eye to eye.

Ace: “And then I’ll have a kick ass party. I’ll have hot sex, apparently…and the only thing unbelievable will be how short your last reign will be. Good news though…everyone you care about can watch you fail! How about that?”

Ace smirks. Selena focuses on him.

Selena: “Talk big Ace. I’ve had your number before. You may have been there, but at least this time, you don’t need to worry about whether your career will end. I’ll just kill your title hopes for the time being. And LexyCorp, Lexy’s Angels, whatever the hell you’re called, can enjoy whatever else that can scavenge from the opportunities you’re being pulled away from. And will it be worth it?”

Selena glances back at Deanna.

Selena: “For me…it will be.”

Ace shrugs and then slides the Tag Title down his arm. Deanna warns Selena and Ace swings, aiming for Selena’s head. Selena ducks and Ace steps through. Selena then turns as Lexy goes to grab Selena, but misses and Selena nails Ace in the forehead with the SCW World Championship. The crowd roars as Ace hits the mat and rolls over, rolling to the floor. Lexy, flustered, turns and goes after Ace, sliding under the bottom rope and joining him on the floor. Selena turns and picks up the microphone, walking over to the ropes.

Selena: “I told you that I’ve been through this enough. I’ve been struck by titles, I’ve been beaten down by groups, and I’ve stood tall. So Ace…bring your best, because at Rise to Greatness, I will bring mine! BELIEVE IT!”

“Kings and Queens” by Ava Max plays as the crowd looks on and cheers. Ace turns to the ring and just backs up. Lexy frantically checks on Ace as Ace rubs his forehead, checking for blood. Selena Frost is shown, standing with Deanna Frost, holding the World Title.

The scene fades to black.
