“Can you see me in the dark?” by Halestorm & I Prevail plays as we see a shot of a lit brazier before showing flames shooting out from it as the camera pans back to show a computer-generated ring and the Taking Hold of the Flame logo.

“And now, SCW presents…Taking Hold of the Flame 2024!”

The logo remains on the screen for a moment longer before we cut to the inside of Wembley Stadium in London, England. The crowd roars as pyro shoots out from the entrance way in front of the video screens. We then cut to a shot outside of Wembley to show pyro shooting across the brace that runs over it and around the border of the opening. We then cut back inside the arena as the crowd cheers while spotlights circle the arena.

Sharper: “We are live from London, England for the twenty-first Taking Hold of the Flame!”

The cameras continue to pan around the stadium as the fans cheer. After several moments, we cut to the ring where Jason Phillips stands.

Phillips: “Fans…please welcome the host for Taking Hold of the Flame…the SCW Hall of Famer and Britain own…Lucas Knight!”

The crowd cheers as out go the lights with a flick of a switch as all eyes focus onto the stage, just then the screen lights up as the opening to “Alpha King” by Rev Theory begins to play over the P.A system. Then and only then we see a series of words in italic writing phase in and out on the big screen...

.Infamous.

.British.

.Legendary.

Spotlights all start to focus on the stage entrance now changing colours, shades of red, white and blue and during that time a silhouette of a man can be seen walking out onto the stage with a familiar aura of confidence. Just then the final words explode onto the tron causing the crowd to react accordingly as the music hit's into full swing...

.LUCAS KNIGHT.

The crowd's cheers fill the arena as the lights come back on fully to show Lucas Knight standing on the stage looking at the crowd, he wears a black leather jacket with the union jack emblazoned on it. He looks out to the crowd with a smirk and nods. He holds a microphone in his hand. Lucas looks around and nods before scanning the crowd. The fans cheer Lucas as Lucas Knight walks along the entrance set. The music fades out.

Knight: “London, England!”

The crowd cheers.

Knight: “Taking Hold of the Flame is here!”

The crowd erupts with greater cheers.

Knight: “Tonight, London…you will see history. Finally, Taking Hold of the Flame…SCW gives you an event worthy of your greatness!”

The crowd roars.

Knight: “Forty men and women will enter that ring. Forty men and women will risk injury, throwing others over the top, to the floor, all to challenge for the SCW World Championship at Rise to Greatness!”

The crowd cheers. Lucas looks around as a faint “One More Match!” chant begins and Lucas hears it. He stops, the chants only getting louder. Lucas sighs.

Knight: “No…I won’t be part of it. Sorry, London.”

The crowd boos. Knight shrugs.

Knight: “That hope has sailed. But you never know who will be in that match. Never know who will take their shot…And they all want one thing.”

Knight pauses.

Knight: “A shot at the World Title.”

Knight continues, getting back on track.

Knight: “And that will either be held by Xander Valentine…”

The crowd cheers.

Knight: “Or Selena Frost!”

The crowd boos loudly. Knight looks around.

Knight: “You too?”

The crowd boos more as Knight smirks.

Knight: “And they will do whatever they need to to win. Taking Hold of the Flame is the first step on the road to Rise to Greatness!”

Knight looks around.

Knight: “And this year it starts in London!”

Knight looks around as the crowd cheers some more.

Knight: “So to everyone in the back…what the hell are ya waiting for?!”

Knight looks out as “Alpha King” plays again. Knight looks around and then throws his arms up and then heads to the back. The cameras cut to ringside.

Sharper: “Lucas Knight getting this crowd, getting our roster revved up.”

Knots: “Like they needed it. He’s right, high stakes.”

Sharper: “That he is. Adam Sharper here with Jonathan Knots at ringside. And Taking Hold fo the Flame, live from London, England. Here in Wembley!”

Cowgirls from Hell & Dangerous Minds vs. Twisted and Sadistic & Light in the Darkness

“Hey hey mama said the way you move is gonna make you sweat gonna make you groove”

A live version of Miley Cyrus’s cover of Black Dog (by Led Zeppelin) kicks into full gear with the iconic Jimmy Page guitar riff as the sound of Screaming Eagle tailpipes fills the arena and the fans are on their feet cheering.

“Ah ha child, way ya shake that thing, gonna make you burn, gonna make you sting”

From the side of the stage the “Baba Jaga” Veronica Strader rides out on a chopped and blacked out ‘45 Harley Davidson Panhead wearing snakeskin boots, purple leather jeans, black retro CFH fitted tank top under a stone washed blue denim biker kutte with the Cowgirls rockers and patch on the back. Cara rides out on a blacked out Harley Davidson Softail in snakeskin boots, Jim Morrison styled brown leather pants, a new style white CFH crop top under a stone washed denim kutte with CFH patch and rockers.

“Hey hey baby, when you walk that way… Watch that honey drip, you a bad bitch can’t keep away”

They hit their throttles, the V-Twin engines cranking that trademark Harley rumble through the arena.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and is an eight person tag team match with a thirty minute time limit. First, hailing from London, Ontario Canada by way of Houston, Texas, they are Veronica and Cara Strader…. THE COWGIRLS FROM HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!!!!!!”

“Oh yeah, oh yeah, ah ah ah. Oh yeah, Oh Yeah, ah… ahh… ahhhh

Veronica raises her left fist and Cara her right before they burn out and fly down to ringside, going around the right side of the ring and parking beside one another at the bottom of the ramp.

“Gotta flaming heart, can’t get my fill”

They walk the steel steps, and wipe their boots before stepping between the top and middle ropes. Taking centre ring, Cara poses ala HBK, wincing briefly and stretching her right arm, with Veronica standing behind her, fists in the air as all four ring posts have fire blow out like a flamethrower into the air. The sisters double fist bump, taking their corner.

Sharper: “Cowgirls from Hell have given the fight to Twisted and Sadistic. Coming into SCW and they’ve quickly made waves.”

Knots: “But they want to get the taste of those two singles losses to Light in the Darkness out of their mouths and no better way to do it than tonight, in Glory Braddock’s and Amelia Blythe’s home country!”

The lights in Wembley Stadium dim slightly as the deep and thundering sounds of a strange techno beat begins to echo throughout the arena as the crowd then explode in a massive pop as first Chris Dumont and then David Striker followed closely behind by both Irvine and Kyle Gibson while White Zombie’s “I’m your Boogieman” starts to echo throughout the arena,

Phillips: “Next, their partners…”

All four men stride down to the ring with David occasionally hitting a bit of a Freebird Strut as they go with both men occasionally bumping fists with the fans before they reach the ring at which point both David and Chris climb up onto the ring before wiping their feet on the apron before entering the ring proper.

Phillips: “They are escorted to the ring by Irvine and Kyle Gibson, they are the team of David “Bam Bam” Striker *AND* The “Ronin” Chris Dumont, they are Dangerous Minds!!”

David goes to the far turnbuckle and hits a pose while Chris simply protects the back of his friend and partner while Irvine and Gibson keep an eye on things by the ring before David hops back down to the ring before shucking off his ring coat. Chris and David turn to Veronica and Cara, the four starting to talk and plan.

Sharper: “Dangerous Minds coming with more of the Phantom Troupe. Perhaps a bit of insurance. This has been a violence one. A lot of backstage attacks, attacks from behind, all started by Twisted & Sadistic doing whatever they could to get back to challenging the World Tag Team Champions, yes, their partners tonight, Light in the Darkness.”

Knots: “And Light in the Darkness has tried to keep this from spiralling. Hence, here we are. How much is respect going to govern? How much is revenge going to govern it all?!”

All of a sudden, the lights go out, prompting a surprised pop from the fans. “In the Name of Love” by Arion feat. Cyan Kicks begins to play, the LED screens flickering to life to show a large wisteria tree in front of a starry night sky with a beautiful moon, the stars seeming like they’re slowly shifting and dancing around as petals from the tree fall and gracefully glide through the sky. One spotlight comes to life on the left side of the stage from the camera’s perspective, revealing Amelia Blythe standing underneath it, eyes focused on the ring and a small smile on her lips as her hands are folded in front of her, giving her the look of a proper young lady. A second spotlight comes to life on the right side of the stage, revealing La Pequeña Luz standing underneath it with the kind of grin that could light up a room all on its own as she motions with her hands for the fans to get pumped up, which they immediately proceed to do. The two slowly turn their attention to one another and begin closing the distance, their spotlights following them as they stop within arm’s reach of one another, where Amelia extends her hand and Luz takes it before they pull their bodies close, the spotlights merging into one piercing through the darkness. The light glistens off of the SCW World Tag Team Championships which are around their waists.

Phillips: “Their opponents, from Tulancingo, Hidalgo, Mexico, she is La Pequena Luz; her partner, from Oxford, England…”

The crowd roars.

Phillips: “She is Amelia Blythe, together they are the SCW World Tag Team Champions, The Light in the Darkness!”

When the song goes into the chorus, the two ladies begin to literally waltz their way down to the ring, fast and fluid to keep pace with the song as the spotlight follows their every move, leaving fans mesmerized by their synergy. As the chorus reaches its end and the two find themselves at the bottom of the ramp, they push away from one another as far as their arms will allow without letting go before quickly pointing to the LED screens with their free hands, where the night scene is immediately engulfed in white before transitioning to a video package of the two ladies in action, both together and individually. Slowly, the two release one another, the single spotlight splitting in two again as Amelia makes her way up the steps to walk across the apron on one side, wiping her feet before stepping through the ropes. Luz, meanwhile, hops up onto the apron right in front of her and grabs the top rope before vaulting herself into a somersault into the ring, landing on her feet. She moves to the center of the ring and drops to her knees, cupping her hands together in front of her while Amelia stands right behind her, hands folded before her once again. As Luz lifts her cupped hands upward, the arena lights slowly begin to come back on as Amelia takes her hands and pulls her to her feet, spinning her around one final time into a tight embrace and a soft kiss before the two move to their corner to prepare for battle, with both girls shedding their robes and Amelia also removing her mask. They then hand off their World Tag Team Championships to a crew member.

Sharper: “And this is interesting – the champions coming out first for their team.”

Knots: “If this is going to devolve into a brawl, they want to already be out here.”

Sharper: “And we’ve seen the respect the Cowgirls from Hell, for example, have for Light in the Darkness. Is this going to be a war or is this going to be a contest where the result is the defining moment?”

The opening riff to “Best of Both Worlds” by Van Halen begins to play. Glory Braddock and Brittany Lohan emerge from behind the curtain simultaneously. The fans cheer while Glory goes from one end of the stage to the other, playing to the crowd and getting them into it. Lohan, meanwhile, continues her march to the ring.

Phillips: “And finally, their partners. First, from San Diego, California, she is Brittany Lohan; her partner, from London, England!”

The crowd roars as Glory Braddock poses, revealing a British flag inspired robe. Red and blue pyro shoots out from the stage and then we cut to an outside shot of Wembley where red and blue pyro shoots around the perimeter of the opening in the top and across the oval structure from one end to the other.

Phillips: “She is the British Bombshell, Glory Braddock. Together, they are the number one contenders to the SCW World Tag Team Championship, Twisted & Sadistic!”

“Something reached out and touched me
Now I know all I want
I want the best of both worlds
And honey I know what it's worth
If we could have the best of both worlds
We'd have Heaven right here on Earth”

Braddock springs towards the ring, catching up with Lohan in time to slide in just barely ahead of her underneath the bottom rope. Lohan enters the ring the traditional way. Brittany remains stoic in the center of the ring while Glory again plays to the crowd, going to each of the four corners and raising her arms high in the air, drawing cheers from the fans. Braddock then rejoins Lohan in the center of the ring as the music dies down. Lohan looks at Chris Dumont and David Striker as Glory Braddock pulls her back. The eight individuals look at one another before turning to their respective teams to determine who will start.

Sharper: “Glory Braddock returning home. Amelia Blythe returning home. They may have the advantage there. I don’t think nerves is something either will really let get to them.”

Knots: “The issue is more can they control Lohan. Can they keep this from devolving as that openly helps their opponents!”

The bell sounds as Glory seems to allow Amelia Blythe the opportunity to start. Across the ring, Veronica Strader and David Striker seem to be in a bit of a disagreement about who to start. Cara stands up for Veronica as Chris supports David. Just then, Lohan runs across the ring. She boots David in the head. David falls back and through the ropes. She then grabs Chris and shoves him back. She turns as Veronica nails her with a hard right and then a chop. Lohan swings at her, connecting with a shot as Veronica kicks her in the ribs.

Sharper: “And here we go. The spark plug as always, Brittany Lohan right across the ring.”

Knots: “Someone’s decisive!”

Veronica spins Lohan around as everyone else exits the ring and Veronica sends Lohan into the neutral corner face first. She kicks her in the ribs and then nails her with a blistering right hand. Veronica then whips her across the ring and into the opposite corner. Lohan hits the corner and runs out and shoulder tackles Veronica down. The crowd ohs. Veronica rolls over as Lohan turns and grabs her and clubs her hard in the back. She clubs her again before then throwing her into the ropes, throat first to the middle turnbuckle. Lohan walks over and Cara runs over and nails her with a hard right. Lohan grabs the second and shoves her back. Veronica turns and pulls Lohan by her tights and she goes throat first into the top rope. Lohan falls back. She gets up, coughing, and Veronica quickly catches her with the A Like Supreme. Lohan falls back and rolls to the floor. Veronica turns and tags in Cara. Veronica turns and moves to the ropes as Cara enters and runs across the ring. Veronica lifts her up and turns, throwing her over the top rope and onto Lohan on the floor. The crowd erupts. (1)

Sharper: “And Cowgirls from Hell, throwing caution to the wind. The Edible Queen goes aerial.”

Knots: “And right onto Lohan. Hope Lohan still likes how she started this.”

Sharper: “Lucha-libre stylings of La Pequena Luz and Striker wanted his revenge so bad. He missed the tag and is paying for it.”

Knots: “Not going to help the Cowgirls and Dangerous Minds get on the same page.”

Striker gets up and runs at Luz who hits a jumping calf kick to the jaw. She turns and flips up to her feet. She then turns and tags in Blythe. The crowd roars as Blythe enters and Striker gets up and Luz kicks him in the ribs. Blythe hits a European uppercut and she whips Striker into the corner. Knots: “Lohan stopped the end of it, but now Braddock just went, you wanna do this in my hometown. Hell no!”

Striker yells out in pain as Braddock keeps the hold on. Dumont then notices this and runs over and stomps Braddock in the face. Braddock looks up and yells at him. Dumont stomps her again and again before Blythe runs over and grabs Dumont from behind and hits a half nelson suplex. Dumont rolls out of the ring. Blythe then turns as Striker manages to get free from those shots. Blythe exits the ring. Braddock rolls over, wincing in pain, the adrenaline fading as Striker rolls over, shaking out his arm. Luz enters the ring and runs past Cara. Cara turns and Luz bounces off the ropes and goes for a flying headscissors. She does two rotations getting the awe from the crowd before Cara throws her off. Luz lands on her feet. She backs up and Cara runs at Luz. Luz ducks and runs to the ropes, jumping to the middle rope. She goes for a diving crossbody. Cara drops down. Luz floats through and rolls through. She gets up and Cara jumps up and hits a frankensteiner. She then mounts Luz and nails her with repeated blows, stopping briefly to rotate her right shoulder, before continuing.

Sharper: “Continuing where they left off on Breakdown two and a half weeks ago and the pace quickens.”

Knots: “Cara getting her this time and adding a bit of cowgirl brawling to it! The Southern Style of Lucha Libre!”

Sharper: “A flying headscissors with a haymaker to the jaw!”

Cara gets up after a couple of shots and Luz rolls over to get up and Cara grabs her and hits the Sticky-Icky. Luz falls back and into the ropes and Cara hoists her up on the rebound. She then starts to spin around in the airplane spin. The British crowd goes alone, “Whoaaing” with it as Cara does several rotations, going around and around and around. Just then Lohan hits the For Your Eyes Only to the back of Cara’s head and into Braddock doubleknee facebuster, finishing the Gloria’s Eyes Only. Cara falls back and Lohan falls to a knee. Braddock then gets up and Striker runs across and drills Braddock with a Shotei and Braddock falls through the ropes to the floor. Striker smirks and turns into Lohan who kicks him in the ribs. Lohan then elbows him in the back of the head once and then again and again before running him into the ropes. Striker bounces off and Lohan runs into the adjacent ropes, bouncing off and hitting the Pounce. The crowd ohs. Lohan then gets up and turns.

Sharper: “Striker turned inside out!”

Knots: “And Dumont! Dumont from behind!”

Dumont runs up behind Lohan and spins her around and hits a roundhouse kick to the chest before hitting an open hand palm strike before finishing the Fury Road with the spinning back roundhouse. Lohan falls through the ropes to the floor. Dumont lunges to try and stop her from going out, but then lets go and gets up and turns around and Luz springboards to the top rope and hits a torneo off the top rope and takes down Dumont. Luz rolls through. She gets up and looks at Dumont as he turns and Luz then runs at him and Blythe enters, lunging and they both hit Dumont with the Frozen Gauntlet. The crowd ohs. Luz and Blythe then get up and turn and look over to Lohan. Luz turns and exits the ring to check on Lohan. Blythe then turns as Cara enters and hits a spinning heel kick. She turns around and Veronica re-enters the ring and grabs Cara and powerbombs her up and hits the Bitch Bomb on Amelia. Cara rolls through as Luz sees this and rolls back into the ring and then runs at Veronica. Veronica lifts her up, to throw her into Cara, but Luz backflips through into a DDT on Cara.

Sharper: “Double-team doesn’t work. Luz’s agility counters!”

Knots: “The official is desperately trying to get everyone out.”

Sharper: “Good luck with these teams!”

Luz gets up and Veronica kicks her in the ribs. She then bends her over and hoists her up and then steps over her arms and hits the Styles Clash. Veronica then steps forward and pulls up, locking in the Proud & Strong! The crowd roars as Luz yells out in pain. She bite her fingers as Veronica keeps the hold on. The official tries to tell Veronica it won’t matter.

Veronica: “Will when she can’t get up!”

Veronica keeps the hold on and Luz continues to yell in pain before Lohan re-enters and hits the For Your Eyes Only on Veronica. Veronica lets go and drops to the mat.

Sharper: “For Your Eyes Only again. Veronica dropped!”

Knots: “And Lohan’s open! Striker! Dumont is going to the top!”

Lohan staggers and turns to Striker only for him to lift her up in a bearhug and Dumont climbs to the top rope. Striker extends Lohan out and Dumont dives off and they hit the Crisis Core. The crowd erupts. Striker lets go and Dumont goes for the pin.

1!

2!

Braddock dives off the top rope and hits the London Plunge. The crowd erupts.

Sharper: “Almost two, but Braddock with the save! The Plunge! The London Plunge stops the count!”

Knots: “Braddock coming up again for her partner! And for her team!”

Braddock stirs as Striker gets up. The official again tries to get Striker out of the ring. He ignores him though. Striker grabs Glory and then throws her into the ropes. She bounces off and Striker catches her with a half nelson before hitting the Hard Justice. Striker ends the bridge and rolls over as Blythe then runs over and hits a running, lunging European uppercut. Striker over the top rope to the floor. Blythe turns around and Cara pulls her back and hits the Indica Dreams. Cara then gets up and moves over to Veronica who is slowly getting up and Lohan runs at both and hits a Pounce. Both fall back and through the ropes to the floor.

Sharper: “Cara and Veronica were about to get their moment, but Lohan just stopped it, throwing herself at them!

Knots: “But Dumont’s back up!”

Lohan turns around and Dumont drills her with a roundhouse before hitting a straight palm strike and then a spinning back roundhouse. Lohan falls back into her corner. Luz then reaches up and tags, hanging off the side. Dumont then grabs Lohan and hits the Crown of Thorns. Lohan rolls over. Luz then springboards to the top rope and dives forward, landing on Dumont’s back and hitting the Lights Out. The crowd ohs. Luz turns and hooks the leg.

Sharper: “Lights Out! Off the top! Luz with the added impact of gravity!”

Knots: “Cover!”

1!

2!

3!

The bell sounds. Luz rolls off. Glory looks up at ringside as Luz looks at her and then turns to Blythe and heads over to her.

Phillips: “Here are your winners, via pinfall, Twisted & Sadistic and Light in the Darkness!”

Sharper: “An absolute chaotic fight. And by the end, it was just a matter of who got the opening. And Luz is the one who took advantage.”

Knots: “Tagged out Lohan who was all but down. Dumont had her.”

Sharper: “And you saw that look from Luz to Glory. Almost like this sets them back on the collision course.”

Knots: “But they got it by the skin of their teeth.”

Blythe is slowly helped up by Luz. The official raises their arm as the crowd cheers. Blythe looks out and smiles as Glory turns and rolls into the ring. Veronica and Cara get up on the floor. They look in the ring at Chris Dumont as Striker glances at them. He then heads over to them. Veronica quickly puts her hand up to stop him as Cara just brushes him off, favouring her right shoulder. Veronica heads over after Cara as Luz and Blythe continue to enjoy this moment.

We go backstage to Adrenaline Champion Bree Lancaster in her locker room, finishing tying the laces on her boot. As she sets her foot down and takes a deep breath in preparation, there’s a knock on her door.

Bree: “Come in.”

Bree looks up and smiles, then stands to greet her guest… who is then shown to be Josh Hudson. We can hear the crowd cheer on seeing him.

Bree: “What are you doing here?”

Josh: “I know your match is coming up soon. So I had to stop by.”

Bree: “You wanted to tell me good luck?”

Josh: “Not at all. We’ve trained together for months, you don’t need luck. I actually have an offer.”

Bree: “What kind of offer?”

Bree raises an eyebrow, but she’s also clearly amused, given away by the smirk.

Josh: “How would you like it if I were to escort you to the ring?”

Bree: “That would be amazing. It’s been a while since I’ve had one.”

Josh: “So is that a yes?”

Bree: “One condition. Just to the ring, okay? I’d like to fight it on my own.”

Josh: “Of course. That was the idea.”

Bree: “Then yes, absolutely. But… you do know what that’s going to do, right?”

Josh: “Show the truth?”

They both grin, as if at an inside joke. Bree nods.

Josh: “I don’t mind if you don’t.”

Bree: “I don’t mind at all.”

Josh smiles.

Josh: “Perfect. I know you like quiet right before a match, so I’ll meet you at the curtain.”

Bree smiles and watches as Josh turns and walks out. Her gaze lingers on the door a few seconds, still smiling, before we cut away.

The scene changes to the office of CHBK where we see Lucas Knight with a tumbler, turning it over and over.

Lucas: “Ya know. Part of me wants to just shove your head in this and just get one more shot off.”

CHBK: “And then you’d be out of a job. Lucas.”

Lucas: “I can dream.”

Lucas keeps turning the tumbler as Katie Steward walks into the room with Gigi Steward. The crowd roars seeing them as Katie walks forward.

Katie: “Now…tumbler boy…you need to make sure we get good numbers.”

Lucas: “Katie…love…we’ve been in the ring together.”

Katie: “Well, then you know what I deserve.”

Gigi: “Katie, just…”

Gigi stops Lucas and then Lucas opens the top. Gigi reaches in and grabs one.

Katie: “You can grab mine too…I trust you.”

Gigi then grabs a second one and extends it to Katie. Gigi pops hers open and then looks at it, the reaction showing she is less than pleased. Katie opens hers.

Lucas: “Not what you wanted-“

Katie: “Oh ho ho! Yes! Gigi. You did wonderful. And you too! This…this is going to be my night. Oh yes!”

Katie smiles as she walks off. Gigi just looks at her ball before heading off after Katie. As they walk out, Scott Reed walks into the room. He steps forward.

CHBK: “Scott…good to see you.”

Reed: “Yeah…uh…boss, former boss…uh-“

Lucas: “I know, he’s an asshole, aint he?”

Reed: “Uh, I guess…look, just here for my number.”

Lucas turns the tumbler a few times.

Lucas: “All yours, mate.”

Reed opens up the door to the tumbler and reaches in. He grabs a ball and pops it open. He pulls out the paper inside and looks at it. He then takes a deep breath.

CHBK: “Like the number?”

Reed nods.

Reed: “Yeah…yeah, I think I do.”

Reed turns and heads off.

The Enigma vs. Kimberly Williams vs. Konrad Raab vs. Dakon Theron vs. Ludvig Eriksson vs. Deanna Frost

Underground Rules

The lights go out, except for a single spotlight at the top of the stage. The opening chords to “Patient Number 9” by Ozzy Osbourne begins to play.  A haunting voice is heard…

"Is there a way out of here?"
"Hey, how long you been here?"
"I wanna go home"
"Hey, hahaha"
"Hahaha"
"Excuse me, could you tell how to get out of here?"
"Hahaha"
"I want to go home"
"Hahaha"
"Mommy, mommy"

The song begins to rage full bore now. Suddenly the lights come back on and Kimberly Williams is standing at the top of the stage to a loud, mostly positive, reaction from the fans. A sinister smirk is on her face as she ponders what she is about to do tonight. The SCW Underground Championship is over her shoulder.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a thirty minute time limit and is an Underground rules match. First, on her way to the ring, from Boston, Massachusetts, she is the SCW Underground Champion, the Wild Card, Kimberly Williams!”

She winks at the fans before pointing towards the ring and making a beeline towards it.  She slides into the ring underneath the bottom rope.  Kimberly then poses in the center of the ring to another loud reaction from the fans.  The music slowly dies down and Kimberly goes to a corner to await the start of the match.

Sharper: “Kimberly Williams stepping up in this match. Non-title and by design. We know Kim or Deanna Frost, the US Champion who is also in this match, would happily defend their title. The issue is that they all want The Enigma.”

Knots: “And that’s the issue. If it’s a five on one mugging of The Enigma or not. Can these five work together?”

The chords of "People Like Us" by Kelly Clarkson fill the arena, causing a roar from the audience as bright, fall leaves seem to blow and fly on the LED screens on and around the ramp. From the back curtain, out runs Deanna Frost, taking in the audience before running to the right side, then the left side, shouting to them in excitement. The 'leaves' follow her as she does. Returning to the middle, Deanna gives a spin on one foot, her arms outstretched, the 'leaves' circling her below her feet. The SCW United States Championship sits over her shoulder.

Phillips: “Next, from Manhattan, New York, she is the United States Champion, Deanna Frost!"

Hearing her name, Deanna stops her spin, side facing the ring, and, with one hand over her heart, her free hand arcs around to point forward, the 'leaves' flying down the entrance and 'circling the ring LED barriers. Making her way down to the ring, Deanna high-fives fans along the way until she reaches the ring. Sliding under the ring, the redhead jumps to her feet, making her way to the middle ropes and leaning over them, one arm raised to the crowd. She does the same to the other sides of the ring! On the last time, Deanna hops back into the ring as the lights return to normal. She turns to Kim who has her arm up for a high-five. Deanna just looks at her and Kim then grabs her arm and high-fives it for her. Deanna shakes her head and walks around the ring.

Sharper: “You hope that Jessica Winters, our colleague is okay. Over the last week, Deanna Frost arranged to have Winters moved to New York City to be closer to her friend and offer some assistance if needed.”

Knots: “Making it personal…”

Sharper: “I think it has been personal since Jessica Winters has lost all sense of who she is. She attacked Deanna Frost multiple times and seemingly influenced by The Enigma.”

“Off To War” by Behemoth plays over the sound system with the lights being dark as ever as Konrad, with Ginny behind him in the middle, Ludvig on the left and Dakon on the right-hand sides, looking at the crowd and got heavy boos. When the lights briefly came back on, you see Dakon, Ludvig and Ginny for Konrad waving their Norway, Sweden and German flags. Konrad brings his German mace to the ring with him as he crouches down with the mace in front of him with Ginny behind him, while Ludvig and Dakon are on the left and right-hand side.

Phillips: “Making their way to the ring, accompanied by Ginny Raab, coming from Sweden, Norway and Germany, they are Ludvig Eriksson, Dakon Theron and Konrad Raab, known as The European Fiery Nation.”

The lights go out again as Konrad gets up from his knees. They walk down to the ring with their flags and step on the stairs, and do a hold-up in the middle of the ring as they gave their flags to Ginny, and she leaves the ring to go to the back, leaving the three men in the ring as Konrad sits down with the Ludvig and Dakon on the side of Raab. When the lights return, Konrad gets up and waited for their opponents to enter the ring. Konrad remains in the ring with his mace. Ginny turns back to the ring and Dakon looks at her before Konrad glances at her too. Ginny then continues to head to the back. Raab looks around as Deanna watches Konrad with the mace. Kim leans back, looking around, smile on her face.

Sharper: “Konrad Raab ready for war. The entire European Fiery Nation here in this one.”

Knots: “And if they get their hands on Enigma for attacking Ginny Raab a few weeks ago…”

Sharper: “I wonder if they’re going to even work with Kim or Deanna at this point.”

Raab looks around the arena as Theron and Eriksson stand with him. Deanna steps forward and looks out to the crowd. Theron then shoves her back. The crowd ohs as Deanna looks at her. Eriksson then extends his arm at Kim.

Sharper: “They are trying to keep this for Konrad!”

Kim playfully slaps at the hand of Eriksson as he keeps looking back at Konrad. Theron is clearly holding Deanna back. Deanna then shoves him back. Theron staggers back and Eriksson turns to help Theron as Theron shoves her back again. Eriksson comes over as Theron shoves her back again and Deanna then drills Theron with a hard right and Eriksson runs over and Deanna hits him with one. Theron recovers and Deanna nails him again and the crowd roars before Deanna nails Eriksson a second time. Eriksson goes down and Deanna kicks Theron before Konrad Raab lunges and nails her in the ribs with his mace. The crowd ohs as Deanna falls to her hands and knees, clearly in pain. She starts to get up as Raab looks at her. Deanna looks at him in defiance.

Raab: “You had a choice!”

Theron and Eriksson then grab Deanna by each arm. She tries to get free and Raab takes the mace and then holds it by both ends and takes a running start and drills Deanna in the side of the head with it. Deanna falls back and through the ropes and to the floor ending up in a heap. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “Good God! Raab just took Deanna Frost’s head off with that mace.”

Knots: “Jesus!”

Sharper: “They’re on the same damn side!”

Knots: “But Raab wants his revenge. He doesn’t care about the rest.”

The camera cuts to show Deanna in a heap. Back in the ring, Raab turns around as Eriksson and Theron walk over to Kim. Kim just waves as Eriksson then goes to push her back. Kim then looks at this before Raab walks over and grabs Eriksson by the arm and pulls him back. He snaps at her.

Raab: “You don’t touch her!”

Kim: “Thanks Oktoberfest!”

Kim slowly walks along the ropes, watching the European Fiery Nation, before glancing at Deanna. Kim turns back as Raab says something directly to Eriksson who holds his hands up, seemingly apologizing.

Sharper: “While you say that, Konrad Raab protecting Kim. And let’s remember, Raab’s respect for Kim Williams is what left Ginny Raab open.”

Knots: “And apparently that respect playing a role here. Kim even checking on Deanna though.”

Sharper: “To see the damage or out of concern. Kim and Deanna seemed to be at least respecting each other on Breakdown.”

Eriksson backs up when suddenly, the arena falls into complete darkness as a haunting melody, "Whispers of the Abyss," begins to resonate throughout. Eerie silence sweeps over the audience, and a sense of anticipation builds. The British crowd meanwhile starts to roar. Several pull out their cell phones and use their flashlights, leading to a massive sea of small lights all over the building. Suddenly, a soft, bluish glow illuminates the entrance ramp. Mysterious mist starts to billow out, creating an otherworldly ambiance. The crowd waits for The Enigma's arrival.

Knots: “Now they have to reset! And already one is down!”

Sharper: “Deanna still down in front of us. I don’t know if she’s bleeding, but she’s hurt.”

Raab turns to the entrance way, holding out his mace, ready to use it. Kim turns to the entrance way too as Eriksson and Theron stand with Raab. The music continues to drone throughout Wembley Stadium until we see a figure climbing over the barricade near the announce tables. Another climbs the barricade from in front of the ring. Kim notices the one and the camera angle turns to show each wearing more a black cloak and a mask that looks similar to the Enigma, but is clearly not the Enigma.

Sharper: “What the hell? There are two masked me?”

Knots: “More mind games or?”

Sharper: “They’re going to the ring! But it’s only two!”

Knots: “Maybe Enigma is bad at math?’

Sharper: “You want to say that louder?”

Knots: “Nope!”

The one cloaked man runs over to Deanna and stomps at her a couple of times. She rolls over, a gash revealing on her forehead from Raab’s mace shot. The crowd ohs. Kim then rolls to the floor and runs over and nails him with a hard right. The cloaked man staggers back and Kim grabs him and runs him into the barricade. Kim runs over and grabs him and nails him with a couple of hard shots while the other cloaked man walks over to the entrance way. He then looks in the ring before Kim is suddenly nailed in the head with a hard right by a third masked, cloaked man. Kim goes down, rolling over. The third man climbs over the barricade. Kim gets up and the two men run at him and clothesline her down.

Sharper: “And a third shows up and this may be why. Manipulating the situation. It’s now three on three.”

Knots: “And that doesn’t actually look like the Enigma either! So there is a fourth somewhere!”

Sharper: “Any of them Jessica Winters?”

Knots: “You don’t think?”

Sharper: “I don’t know!”

The two then slide into the ring. Eriksson and Theron turn and the two run at them and nail them with hard right hands. The masked man in the aisle rolls into the ring and runs at Raab and clubs him in the side. The three cloaked masked men then start to club at Theron, Eriksson and Raab as the crowd boos.

Sharper: “These three men…acolytes maybe. I don’t know.”

Knots: “We know he can seemingly control people. Are they locals? Are they wrestlers from the back? What if they’re going to be in the battle royal?”

Sharper: “I don’t know but right now, they’re just beating the hell out of the European Fiery Nation.”

The bell sounds at this point as the official, Jennifer Cassidy, confused about what to do, calls for it. The three cloaked masked individuals continue their attack on the EFN. Kim Williams meanwhile on the floor, now with renewed purpose, reaches under the ring. She grabs a steel chair and throws it into the ring. The crowd roars as Kim then grabs a second chair. Two of the cloaked members ignore this while the third watches Kim, more knocking chairs away. Kim then rummages a bit more before getting up and grabbing a staple gun and then smiles. She pulls out a barbed wire bat. She holds it up and shrugs before the masked man watching her runs over and kicks at the ropes. He threatens her and then kicks at her again and Kim then turns and swings the bat at the ankle of the man. He staggers back and Kim rolls in. She gets up and turns and nails the masked man guarding her in the ribs. He goes down to his hands and knees. Kim turns and points the staple gun at the right buttcheek of the man before firing. He pops up and holds his ass in pain. Kim then takes the bat and turns and swings, nailing him in the head. He goes up and over and to the floor. The crowd erupts. Kim turns as one of the other masked men runs over and nails her from behind. She goes down in the corner as the crowd boos.

Knots: “A staple and a drive for your trouble!”

Sharper: “And that may be it for him!”

Knots: “Now another jumps Kim!”

They stomp away on Kim as she is in a heap in the corner. They go after her over and over and over again before the third, still on the European Fiery Nation steps back and extends his arms. He then runs into the ropes, bouncing off and Raab pops them with a European uppercut. The crowd roars. He hits the mat and rolls over and gets up and turns as Raab pulls Theron and Eriksson up. Raab says something to them before they step up and they both kick him in the ribs and nail him with repeated blows. Raab kicks the chairs Kim threw into the ring and moves them into place. Eriksson then whips the man into the ropes. He bounces off and he hoists him up as Theron jumps up and they hit the European United Drop! The crowd erupts. Raab then runs over and grabs the man attacking Kim. He throws him back and then looks at Kim. Kim waves, almost in joking fashion, as a thank you, only for Raab to run over and grabs the third man. He then grabs him by the throat and hoists him up and drops him with the Burninator on the chairs. As this happens, Theron grabs the second man and hoists him up onto his shoulders. Eriksson climbs to the top rope and the crowd roars as Eriksson then dives off and hits Fiery European Destroyer, taking down the man. He hits and EFN quickly push him out of the ring with his feet.

Sharper: “European Fiery Nation…now the Fiery European Destroyer on this acolyte and bam! Down!”

Knots: “While the third one, the one Raab got…he’s not done. And Raab’s calling shots.”

Kim rolls to the floor as she reaches under the ring again. Back in the ring, Raab drags up the man he has and looks at him. The man is clearly in pain. Raab then smacks him and he turns around and Raab hoists him up and turns around, looking for the Burn Blooded Killer Move. Theron and Eriksson then come over and grab him and the three drop down into a Vertebreaker/Shared Tombstone combo on the chairs. The crowd ohs.

Knots: “I hope the brainwashing was worth it!”

Sharper: “Just driven head first into the chairs!”

Kim then pulls out a stop sign. She looks at it and then turns as the first man eliminated from the ring slowly gets up and Kim turns and holds it up in front of them. They turn and back up a bit. They lunge forward and Kim drills him in the face with it. The man falls back and Kim turns and swings again, sandwiching them against the announce table. The crowd ohs. Just then, we hear a roar from the crowd as black mist billows out from the back and along the entrance way. We see Ginny Raab running out from the back and turning back before stopping and backing up. The Enigma slowly walks out from the back as a sense of dread comes over the stadium.

Sharper: “Kim dispatching the third, maybe for good…”

Knots: “Look Sharper! The entrance! There’s Enigma!”

Sharper: “And he’s stalking Ginny Raab.”

Konrad Raab kicks the masked man he and the EFN just dispatched before Theron gets his attention. Theron turns and starts to storm over, but Konrad stops him and then looks at him. Raab points to himself as Theron looks at him and turns to Eriksson before backing up. Theron rolls to the floor as Konrad Raab follows him and then stops him again. We then see Kim Williams reaching in and grabbing the barbed wire bat and running around the ring. Eriksson drops down to stop Theron from making a mistake. Konrad then starts to head forward as Enigma continues to slowly head to the ring and Kim runs over and nails Theron in the back with the barbed wire bat. He falls forward. Eriksson turns and goes for a clothesline. Kim ducks and then nails him in the chest with it. Eriksson goes down and Kim then looks around and cackles before waving at Konrad who ignores her, focusing entirely on Ginny and Enigma. Kim pouts and heads out before going around the ring and heading over to the next side, looking again under the ring.

Sharper: “Kim stopping Theron and Eriksson. Seems to think she’s helped Konrad!”

Knots: “Konrad wants this fight. Theron and Eriksson were there to keep this one on one for Konrad Raab. But Theron wanted his shot.”

Sharper: “And there’s going to be a clash in the entrance way.”

Ginny turns and goes to run to Konrad, but The Enigma suddenly lunges forward with quick speed and grabs her and pulls her in. Ginny looks at Konrad in terror. Konrad runs forward and stops. He looks at Ginny and the Enigma, glaring at them. The Enigma slowly smiles. Konrad lunges forward and The Enigma suddenly throws Ginny at Konrad. Konrad catches her, but Enigma lunges and nails him with a hard right. Ginny rolls away and Konrad staggers back. Enigma nails him again and again before pushing him against the barricade, leaning in, just glaring at him, saying nothing, while choking him against the barricade.

Sharper: “The Enigma just choking out Raab.”

Knots: “What the hell is Kim doing?”

Sharper: “Finding plunder? Toys? Or maybe giving Raab his space? We talked about respect.”

Kim pulls out a table and places it next to the ring before reaching under and smiling before pulling out a board with barbed wire coils on it. The crowd roars. Kim smiles as she places it against the barricade and then points to the fans.

Kim: “Don’t touch it…or do…just don’t let HIM see!”

Kim points to the security guard before moving around the ring again. Enigma throws Raab down into the entrance way. Raab slowly gets up and The Enigma runs over and knees him in the chest. He knees him again and again and again. The crowd ohs. Enigma then lifts him up and just shakes his head and shoves him down. Raab rolls over and The Enigma then heads back over to Ginny. He then bends over and reaches over and grabs her. Ginny looks up in terror before Konrad fights up and runs over and grabs Enigma from behind and then hits a German suplex in the entrance way. Enigma rolls through. Konrad Raab slowly gets up. He turns and checks on Ginny. The Enigma rolls over as Konrad turns and storms over to Enigma and nails him with a European uppercut. Enigma stumbles back. Konrad hits another European uppercut. Enigma staggers and Konrad then runs at him and Enigma suddenly grabs him and hits a huge powerslam. Konrad rolls over from the impact and rolls toward the ring, the two reaching the ringside area. Kim stomps at one of the masked men for good measure before walking around and then looking around and reaching under the ring again.

Sharper: “Enigma planting Raab as they have just beat the hell out of each other down the entrance way.”

Knots: “And They’re not stopping. But they’re also at ringside and Eriksson and Theron are there.”

Sharper: “Kim’s around too. Deanna struggling in front of us. She may be hurt badly.”

Deanna leans against the ring, blood coming down her face. Eriksson and Theron stir as Konrad tells them to stay back. He slowly gets up and turns and Enigma headbutts him. Konrad Raab staggers back. Ginny looks on down the entrance way. Enigma headbutts Konrad again before Konrad uppercuts him and Enigma grabs him, before Theron then comes in and nails Enigma with a hard right and then another and another. Konrad keeps hold on him as Eriksson runs over to get Theron off. Just then, the crowd erupts as we cut to a wide shot as a bloodied Deanna Frost grabs a steel chair and runs across the ring, diving over the top rope and driving herself and the steel chair into the EFN and The Enigma. The crowd erupts as Deanna rolls through into the entrance way and the four men go down.

Sharper: “Deanna Frost! Bloodied! Battered! And over the top rope onto everyone!”

Knots: “Deanna Frost was leaning on here. I thought they were waiting for a stretcher, but she was watching what was happening!”

Sharper: “And got everyone! Enigma! European Fiery Nation!”

Deanna rolls over, wincing in pain as Kim pulls out another chair before throwing it back and then smiling before pulling out a barbed wire wrapped crowbar. She looks at it and smirks before then walking around the ring. Deanna gets up and Konrad and The Enigma stir. Just then, Kim runs up behind Theron and nails him in the back with the crowbar. The crowd ohs. She turns and nails Eriksson in the ribs. He staggers forward and Kim turns and swings, nailing him in the side of the head. Eriksson falls over. Deanna then lunges and hits the Burnout on Raab. Raab falls back to the ring apron. She turns and looks at The Enigma who gets up. The Enigma turns and Deanna nails him with a hard right and then another and another. Enigma staggers back to the steel steps. Deanna then hammers away with hard right hands. Kim cheers her in the background.

Sharper: “Deanna pummelling The Enigma! Shot after shot after shot!”

Knots: “While Kim takes out the EFN and isn’t that…isn’t that Barbie? Eavan Maloney’s crowbar?”

Sharper: “You may be right, Jon!”

Deanna nails him over and over and over again. Enigma falls to a heap. Deanna steps back and lets out a yell. She turns, the blood caking her face. Kim then high-fives her and Deanna looks around before running at Enigma and hitting him with a running knee against the steel steps. The crowd ohs. Enigma rolls over and Deanna grabs him and pulls him up before rolling him into the ring. Kim then turns and nails Theron again with the crowbar. She throws it down as she then rolls into the ring. Deanna turns and stomps Enigma over and over and over again. The crowd roars and Deanna turns and runs into the ropes. She bounces off and Enigma suddenly hits an uppercut. Deanna staggers as Kim steps up, but Deanna, falling to the ropes, tells her to stop. Enigma however instead steps up and hits a throat thrust to Kim, knocking him down. Enigma turns and Deanna grabs one of the steel chairs and turns and slams it into The Enigma’s back. Enigma staggers and turns and snaps his head at Deanna. Deanna turns and runs into the ropes, but Raab grabs her leg and pulls her to the floor. She lands hard chest first on the mats. Raab rolls in and runs at Enigma who catches him and hits a Cryptic Slam into a pile of chairs.

Sharper: “Raab pulling Deanna out. He tries to go after Enigma, but Cryptic Slam!”

Knots: “And into the chairs.”

Enigma gets up and turns and Kimberly Willaims hit’s Morrigan’s Wrath. Enigma falls back and through the ropes. He slowly fights up to his feet and Kim runs at him and hits the Shadowblade. Enigma falls back into the barbed wire coiled board at ringside. The crowd erupts.

Sharper: “Oh! Enigma! Through the barbed wire! Through the board!”

Knots: “Kim strikes again…and!”

Sharper: “Oh my God!”

Kim then grabs the top rope and vaults herself over the top and onto Enigma.

1!

2!

3!

The bell sounds. Deanna slowly pulls herself up and falls over. Konrad Raab glances over to Kim. Kim rolls out of the wreckage and smiles.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Kimberly Williams.”

Williams slowly pulls herself up.

Williams: “That was for Marie, Iggy!”

Williams leans on the apron before holding her own arm up. The crowd cheers as Kim looks around. Enigma remains down in the table. Deanna then pulls herself up and staggers forward. She heads around the ring. Theron and Eriksson stir as Raab crawls to the ropes. Deanna throws Kim down to go after Enigma, only for the lights to suddenly go out. The crowd roars and some boo. The lights remain out for a few moments before they return, showing the Enigma no longer in the barbed wire and broke board. Deanna kicks at it in annoyance as Raab gets up and kicks the ropes in anger. Kim looks up at Deanna.

Sharper: “And just like that, The Enigma gone. Kim defeats him…”

Knots: “Deanna and Konrad weren’t done with him!”

Sharper: “They are for now…where the hell did he go?”

The scene cuts backstage where we see Lucas Knight turning to CHBK.

Lucas: “Ya know. They could just hire me for this.”

CHBK: “You’re doing a hell of a job.”

Lucas: “I mean the whole thing. I could do your job. I’d at least bring a cricket bat.”

CHBK: “You want to get your ass kicked-“

Lucas: “I did want to return to the ring.”

CHBK: “And you know why that can’t happen-“

Kandis then walks into the room. The crowd roars seeing her. She then looks over at Lucas and CHBK and rolls her eyes.

Kandis: “Just give me my number.”

CHBK: “Lucas, you heard Kandis.”

Kandis: “Yeah, because I’m putting Selena’s ass on notice.”

Lucas turns the tumbler before stopping. Kandis reaches in and grabs a ball. As she does, The One Kirsten Scott steps in and Kandis turns, popping open the ball and looking in. The One doesn’t even wait, grabbing a ball out of the tumbler.

Kandis: “Sorry, but you know…”

Scott: “Do I have to say anything either…”

Kandis: “Honestly, if one of us gets Selena when this is all over…all the better.”

Kandis looks at her number.

Kandis: “But I think history is repeating.”

Kandis turns and heads out. Kirsten Scott then opens her ball and looks at it. She then scoffs.

Scott: “Of course…”

Scott then steps back and walks off.

Sharper: “Kandis seems happy; The One, less so.”

Knots: “They all know that number can determine their chances in Taking Hold of the Flame.”

Sharper: “And Jon, before we go to our next match, I’ve been informed we’re going to be airing a video update from Adam Brock.”

Knots: “This is a follow-up to our update that he would require surgery on his knee, right?”

Sharper: “Yes. And for those who aren’t aware, my colleague and I are discussing a terrible injury suffered by SCW’s own “Wolfsbane” Adam Brock during his match against Deanna Frost for Deanna’s SCW United States Championship.”

Knots: “In what can only be described as a freak accident, Adam’s right knee got wrapped up in the top rope and he wound up suffering a complete rupture of his ACL along with a meniscus tear and other damage. And it wasn’t pretty. I use the footage to keep Kennedy Street away from my house. It plays on loop when my security team senses she’s near!”

Sharper: “Anyway, Adam was able to reach the backstage area where an ambulance was waiting thanks to assistance from US Champion Deanna Frost and Adam’s protégé “Roadblock” Chance Owens, who we’ve been told has taken an extended leave of absence to deal with his recurring sleep issues.”

Knots: “Chance’s doctor released a statement saying she had rescinded his medical clearance due to injury concerns as a result of him not being able to get enough sleep.”

Sharper: “We here at SCW wish Chance all the best and hope he’s able to overcome this massive obstacle so he can have a good quality of life. And having said that, here’s the video update from Adam Brock. I should note this was recorded at his brother’s home in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.”

The lights on the Tron dim and the video starts to play. Adam can be seen sitting on a white leather couch with two Maine Coon calico cats curled up on him. He looks at the camera and smiles as if he can hear the fans in the sold out Wembley Stadium cheering for him.

Brock: “Hey, SCW and fans... Long time, no see! “Wolfsbane” Adam Brock here in the living room of my brother Liam’s house in good old Philadelphia, Pennsylvania! And as you can clearly see, right now I’m a living cat bed.”

Adam shakes his head but he’s smiling as he gently strokes one of the cats sprawled across his legs. His right leg is propped up and wrapped in bandages with ice packs on top held in place by strategically wound strips of cloth. The red frames of his glasses are a stark contrast to his tanned skin and he adjusts said glasses with the back of his right hand.

Brock: “You’re all aware of my injury and the fact that I need surgery by now, so there’s no point in restating the obvious.”

A minor adjustment brings a silent hiss of relief as his right leg settles and stops its almost imperceptible movements.

Brock: “What you don’t know is what I’m going to tell you all right now. We’re waiting for the swelling in my knee to go down before I have the surgery, and so far it’s been an annoyingly slow process. Hopefully things speed up a little so we can get this taken care of sooner instead of later. Having dealt with lingering injuries and issues with my left knee, I know right now it’s a waiting game. But I don’t mind telling you this is one crappy game!”

He pauses to catch his breath and gently move the cat closest to his right knee so there’s no risk of further injury to the already damaged joint.

Brock: “Darn cat... But seriously, folks, this isn’t looking good. My doctor here in Philly says there’s a good chance I may not be cleared to wrestle any time soon. He’s been my doctor since my first go-round here in Philly, so I know he isn’t just saying that to scare me away from wrestling again. He knows me better than that. I know he was fit to be tied when I kept wrestling back when I had a fractured disc in my back, but he knew better than to tell me to stop wrestling. Instead of being one of those people, he just told me to be careful and to take a long break when I had the opportunity. I was young, arrogant and stupid back then. These days I’m just arrogant.”

He shrugs one shoulder with a grin and gets comfortable again.

Brock: “I should be living it up with my co-workers over there in jolly old England, but I’m stuck here in Philly instead of standing backstage at the Mecca of all performance arenas known as Wembley Stadium!”

One of the cats wakes up long enough to look at Adam and meow before nuzzling his face. He’s getting all worked up and that won’t do him any good. Adam gives in and smiles as he gives the cat a good scritch between the ears.

Brock: “You’re right, Minx. Thank you for the reminder.”

Minx starts purring as she lays back down and goes back to sleep.

Brock: “Moving on to another topic I’ve been wanting to address...”

Adam leans back against the couch and steeples his fingers in front of his face.

Brock: “I’ve been seeing comments online from fans saying it was Deanna’s fault and she should have been more careful.”

He sits forward and manages to not wake up the cats.

Brock: “Let me set the record straight right here, right now. Deanna Frost was not responsible for me getting hurt. It wasn’t her fault and it sure as hell wasn’t my fault! It was a freak accident! It could have happened to anyone and it could have happened anywhere. It was just a fluke that it happened to me during our match for Deanna’s United States Championship. Deanna, please don’t blame yourself... I don’t blame you for what happened and neither do the people who understand that accidents happen. Should the impossible happen and I don’t get medically cleared to wrestle again, I want this to be on the record. Without a doubt, Deanna Frost is one of the most gifted athletes I’ve come across in my entire career. I wish her nothing but success and a career unmarred by scandal or controversy. But if I am cleared to wrestle again, Deanna, I want a do-over. Title or no title, if I’m able to step into that ring again, I want another match against you. That’s some ways down the road, but I’d be lying if I said that wasn’t going to be a motivating factor in my recovery and rehabilitation! I’ll let you know how the surgery goes and we’ll see about the recovery timeline from there. I may not be in the ring right now, but I’ll be there in spirit. Keep your hopes up and whenever you feel lost or afraid, just look up at the sky. It’ll always be there. And you can use it as a reminder that no storm lasts forever. No matter how cloudy it may get, the sun will always shine. It’s always daylight somewhere in the world.”

He smiles at the camera and holds up his hand in the peace sign.

Brock: “I’ll see you around, okay?”

The camera feed slowly fades to black, the last thing to fade out is Adam’s hand held up with two fingers raised in the universal gesture of peace. When the screen is totally black, the SCW logo comes up on the Tron.

Sharper: “There’s a lot to think about with what we just saw, including the possibility that Adam may never wrestle again.”

Marie Jones vs. Bree Lancaster

SCW Adrenaline Championship

The bell sounds.

Phillips: “The following contest tonight at Taking Hold of the Flame is scheduled for onefall with a thirty minute time limit and is for the SCW Adrenaline Championship!”

The SCW Adrenaline Championship logo comes across the screen. Cameras cut to the stage. Fire can be seen coming out from the stage as the image of a phoenix shoots out on the video board. “Haunted” by Taylor Swift then starts to play.

"You and I walk a fragile line
I have known it all this time
But I never thought I'd live to see it break
It's getting dark and its all too quiet
And I can't trust anything now
And its comin' over you like its all a big mistake"

"Holding my breathe, won't lose you again
Something's made your eyes go cold"

A spotlight shines down at the top of the entrance ramp. Pyro goes off. Then Marie Annabelle Jones steps through the curtain, wearing her ring gear and her signature black leather jacket. A broad, somewhat condescending grin is on her face as she gaze out at the fans in the arena who cheer loudly.

Phillips: “First, the challenger, making her way down the ring, from Boston, Massachusetts, she is the Phoenix, Marie Jones!”

The Tron shows images of her striking at her opponents with her finishing and signature moves as the lyrics of "Haunted" by Taylor Swift begin to flow through the arena. Marie begins to make her way down towards the ring. As for Marie herself, she stops to slap a few high fives with fans, recognizing them as they cheer her. Then her focus is solely on the ring and the determined stride with which she walks tells that story. Marie hops up onto the ring apron. She strikes a sultry and sexy pose for the audience. Marie turns and leaps over the top rope and into the ring.  She then hops up onto the second turnbuckle of the nearby corner and holds her arms up high into the air, getting a reaction from the crowd.

Sharper: “Marie Jones earning this shot on Breakdown ten days ago. She’s hoping this will continue her gradual redemption tour. Coming off losing the TV Championship, but then, doing the right thing, and stopping Gavin Taylor from presumably attacking Bree Lancaster and here she is.”

Knots: “Going up for a bigger challenge and well, she’s trying to do the right thing. Working up to this so. And how else do you prove it – fight like we know Bree will. Settle it all in the ring!”

The lights dim, only a few small ones on the stage as the voice of Bree Lancaster whispers:

“I am the light of the truth
The one who sees right through”

A guitar riff plays as the small lights dance around the stage, then suddenly stop, as one large beam shines down onto the figure of Bree herself. This time, she isn’t alone, as Josh Hudson stands next to her.

“Spotlight”

The smaller lights begin again swirling as the music of “Spotlight” by Fozzy kicks in. Bree carries the Adrenaline Championship belt on one arm, as Hudson has his arm linked through her other, and they make their way down the ramp.

[I am the light of the truth, The one who sees right through
I know your every move, I got my eye on you
Go on and bury it down, I follow you 'til it's out
I got my eye on you, I got my eye on you]

Bree smiles at the front row fans as she gets to the ring. Bree and Hudson stop at the ring steps. They speak for a moment, then Bree smiles and nods. Hudson holds her face with one hand and gives her a kiss. The crowd cheers at this.

Phillips: “And her opponent, accompanied by Josh Hudson, from New Orleans, Louisiana, she is the SCW Adrenaline Champion, Bree Lancaster!”

Hudson then goes up the steps first, and holds the ropes open for Bree. Bree goes up the steps, then through the ropes. Bree and Hudson exchange a look, and he goes back down the steps. Bree goes to a corner and gets on the second turnbuckle, posing with one hand up overhead. The crowd cheers.

[You're the wicked, I'm a sharp knife
Shining on you like a spotlight
I'm a witness, I'm a dark night]

The lights go down, and one beam shines on Bree in the corner.

[You're a sickness, I'm your spotlight]

The lights come up and Bree hops down as the music fades out. We see Hudson going up the ramp to the back as Bree gets to her corner and looks around.

Sharper: “Bree Lancaster proudly holding the title since Body, Heart, and Soul and looking to continue that reign into Rise to Greatness season.”

Knots: “She’s also just happy to seemingly be done with Simon Lyman. Josh Hudson may be even out there a bit for that. But that was definitely more than support!”

Sharper: “And Simon Lyman still a threat for Lancaster’s family and friends. Simon Lyman just won’t leave it alone!”

The bell sounds. Marie and Bree circle the ring. The crowd roars a bit before Marie and Bree lock up in the middle of the ring. They push back on one another and Bree turns into a side headlock. Marie pulls back and gets Bree into the ropes and fires her off. Bree bounces off and shoulders Marie down. Bree turns and runs into the ropes. Marie nips up and then ducks a clothesline. Bree hits the opposite side and Marie jumps up and grabs her and snaps her over with a headlock takedown.

Bree rolls her shoulder up and starts to get up, Marie holding on. Marie keeps the hold on before Bree gets her to the ropes and fires her off. Marie bounces off and Bree shoulders her down again. Marie nips up and Bree goes for a forearm. Marie falls back to dodge and nips up again. Bree turns and Marie hits a Japanese arm drag. They hold onto one another and use each other to get up before Marie knees Bree in the ribs. She then whips her into the corner. Marie runs after and Bree moves out of the way. Marie jumps to the middle rope and backflips back and spins around. She then nods.

Sharper: “And Marie Jones showing more agility than we’re used to, more in the sense of her just be flashier.”

Knots: “Maybe trying to get into the head of Bree.”

Sharper: “Maybe. Just showing how dialed in she is.”

Bree looks at Marie as Marie watches her and then lunges at her. Bree goes to grab her, but Marie spins around her and into a waistlock. She then pushes Bree forward and goes for a waistlock takedown, but Bree elbows Marie in the jaw. She reaches back and snapmares her over. Marie rolls through and gets up and Bree hits a lunging back elbow. Marie hits the mat and Bree goes for the pin.

Bree rolls over and Marie hits a second hip toss. Bree gets up and Marie hits a dropkick. Bree hits the mat and rolls to the corner. Marie gets up and runs at her, but Bree elbows her in the jaw.

Sharper: “Marie with a couple of hip tosses and a dropkick!”

Knots: “Bree just introduced her to the NOLA elbow!”

Marie stumbles back and Bree runs out and hits a clothesline. Marie hits the mat. She gets up and Bree forearms her in the jaw and then wrenches her arm. She takes her over with another snapmare before dropkicking her in the back of the head. Marie rolls over. Bree crawls over and hooks the leg.

Marie kicks out. She turns and starts to get up. Bree grabs her and whips her into the corner. Bree follows up and shoulders her in the ribs twice. She then goes to whip Marie across the ring, but Marie spins through and then jumps up and wraps her legs around the chest of Bree and rolls through into a mount. She forearms her a couple of times and gets up.

Sharper: “Marie with a surprising takedown. Bree did not see it coming.”

Knots: “And then gave her a couple of receipts.”

Bree rolls over and Marie hits a dropkick, knocking her back down. Bree turns and Marie runs into the ropes, jumping to the middle rope and diving back with a leg lariat. Bree hits the mat. Marie crawls over and hooks the leg.

Bree ends up on the middle rope and Marie grabs the top rope and goes for a slingshot leg drop, but Bree moves back in. Marie lands on her feet and Bree then runs at Marie and forearms her off. Marie falls off and rolls over. Bree then exits to the apron. Marie stirs on the floor and Bree dives off with a standing moonsault off the apron onto her challenger.

Sharper: “Off the apron. A moonsault and right on target!”

Knots: “Marie got up and just had to deal with a flying Adrenaline Champion in her face.”

Sharper: “And for those new to the Adrenaline division, there are no countouts to encourage wrestlers to use the ringside area. To encourage unique and creative offense.”

Marie looks up as Bree turns and pulls her up. She then turns and rolls her into the ring. Bree rolls in after and Marie gets up only for Bree to run over and hit a spinning heel kick. Marie spins down to the mat. Bree rolls her over for the pin.

2!

Marie kicks out. Bree looks up and turns and starts to get up. She grabs Marie and pulls her to her feet and then Bree sweeps out the leg under her. Marie falls to the mat, grabbing at her left leg. Bree then grabs at it and jerks on it. The crowd looks on, some cheering for Bree, others cheering for Marie and thus booing. Bree jerks on the leg again. She then steps forward and flips forward, jarring Marie’s leg. Marie rolls over, holding her leg. She starts to crawl over to the ropes.

Knots: “Looks like we’re going to get the Bree Lancaster special. Go for the leg and make your opponent have to figure it out.”

Sharper: “Crescent Lock can debilitate and Bree Lancaster is also cutting off the high-risk offense for Marie Jones. Jones is more willing to use that highflying style.”

Marie gets up and Bree grabs at the leg. Marie swings at Bree with a couple of right hands, but Bree dodges both before hitting a dragon screw leg sweep. Bree then rolls through for the pin.

2!

Bree kicks out. Both get up and Bree goes for the leg again. Marie hops on the other one and then hits an enziguri. Bree falls over as Marie moves to the ropes.

Sharper: “Marie fight now. Trying to find that answer as you suggested Bree is going to force her to find.”

Knots: “Or she’s going to tap. And we know that leg is hurting. Marie is clearly limping. And Bree sees it.”

Marie walks around the ring, limping as Bree starts to get up and Marie pushes herself and runs forward, grabbing Bree’s head and hitting a bulldog. Marie then turns and moves to the ropes. She jumps to the middle rope and gets a bit of momentum in the bouncing before jumping off and hitting an imploding flipping senton to the back of Bree. Bree rolls over in pain. Marie goes for the pin.

Sharper: “And Bree back to the leg.”

Knots: “Marie will get intimate with the canvas. She’s the Phoenix? She better find a way to rise!”

Bree Lancaster then turns and climbs to the middle rope and then to the top rope. She glances back as Marie remains, holding her knee and Bree shifts a bit only to hit a moonsault, but deliberately targeting the legs. The crowd ohs. Marie rolls over, holding her legs in pain. She rolls to her stomach. Bree moves over and pulls up on the legs and locks in an impromptu Texas Cloverleaf!

Knots: “The Louisiana Cloverleaf!”

Sharper: “Don’t want to say it’s from Texas. Shades of Jason O’Grady as we are just over the pond from where he claimed to come from in Ireland. But Marie doesn’t care about that. Lancaster with the hold on.”

Knots: “After getting a Bree Lancaster to both legs!”

Marie yells out as the crowd looks on and a cacophony of noise comes from the crowd. Bree sits down, gritting her teeth as Marie reaches out. She keeps trying to reach out for the ropes. Bree doesn’t budge as Marie keeps fighting. Demitra asks her if she quits. Marie starts to bite her hand as she then bridges up. She lets out a yell. She then uses her forearms and tries to crawl. Bree keeps hold, shuffling to keep it locked in. Marie keeps crawling to the ropes as Bree tries to reset, but Marie reaches and after several agonizing moments, grabs the bottom rope. The crowd roars.

Bree lets go and walks around the ring. Marie takes a few moments, and grabs at her leg and starts to get up. Bree heads over to her and grabs her by the leg and lifts her up. Marie however jumps up with the other leg and wraps her legs around Bree’s head and frankensteiners her into the middle turnbuckle. Bree pops back and Marie fights up and grabs Bree’s head and hits a cutter. The crowd roars.

Sharper: “And Marie trying to rise from the ashes! Cutter out of the corner!”

Knots: “On one leg. Why not!”

Sharper: “Bree Lancaster has shown why she is as technically proficient as anyone. Marie Jones’s plans have been dampened. Can she regroup here and become the Adrenaline Champion?”

Bree slowly gets up and Marie fights up to her feet only to then hit a pele kick. Bree falls back to the mat. Marie grits her teeth, getting up to her feet and then pushes herself to the ropes, jumping to the middle rope and hitting a Divine Impact. She hooks the leg.

1!

2!

Bree gets her shoulder up.

Sharper: “And only two! Marie got all of that Divine Impact.”

Knots: “She’s not done!”

Marie turns and limps to the corner. Bree stirs and starts to get up and Marie then gets a bit of a burst of speed and jumps up and hits the Kissed by Fire. Bree goes down. Marie hooks the leg.

Some do as she climbs up to the top rope. She gets to the top and winces and then dives off and goes for the 450 Splash. The crowd ohs, but Bree gets her knees up. Marie somersaults forward, holding her ribs. She ends up on her feet and Bree gets up and jumps up and hits the Recoil. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “Poisonrana. Marie Jones spiked!”

Knots: “Well the leg won’t be the problem now!”

Bree turns and hooks the leg.

1!

2!

Marie shoots her shoulder up. The crowd ohs.

Knots: “Marie lives!”

Sharper: “Only a two and Bree Lancaster is besides herself!”

Bree Lancaster gets up and walks over to Marie. She pulls her up and hooks her up for a back suplex. Marie however backflips through. She winces and steps back. Bree turns and Marie hits a superkick. Bree falls back to the mat. She slowly gets up and grabs at her jaw before grabbing the ropes. She fights up and turns as Marie looks over. She fights up to her feet and goes for another superkick, but this time, Bree catches her leg and then hits the Twisted Ambition. The crowd ohs as Bree holds onto the arm and then spins through and locks in the Crescent Lock!

Sharper: “Crescent Lock. Bree has the Crescent Lock in!”

Knots: “And Marie’s in the Taking Hold of the Flame right?”

Sharper: “She is! Can she fight out? Or is she going to have to make a choice?!”

Marie yells out and reaches around. Bree bridges up as Marie grabs at the legs and grimaces in pain before reaching out, trying to see if the ropes are close. She tries to move herself, but Bree keeps the hold on and Marie then turns and bites her finger before then starting to tap out. The bell sounds. Bree lets go and rolls over. Marie rolls over and grabs at her legs. Bree turns and looks at her as the music plays.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via submission, and STILL SCW Adrenaline Champion, Bree Lancaster!”

Sharper: “Marie tried. She tried to see if there was a chance. But quickly, the pain, too much. And she had to tap. Had to tap to keep Taking Hold of the Flame as an opportunity for her.”

Knots: “That’s just it. Adrenaline Title would be great, but Marie understand that Bree had it cinched in.”

Sharper: “And no chance for Marie to get out, even with her technical skill. And Bree Lancaster retains the SCW Adrenaline Championship!”

Bree gets up and steps forward. She turns and checks on Marie. Marie waves her off as Bree then is handed her Adrenaline Championship. She holds it over her head and then walks over to the ropes and lean on them. She looks around as the crowd cheers her. Marie remains down in pain as Bree then goes to the corner, climbing to the middle turnbuckle and holding her title up again as the scene cuts to black.

We hear majestic music playing we see Deanna Frost and Selena Frost riding horses, Deanna’s brown, while Selena’s is white. They move forward before Deanna stops as Selena pulls out a old-timey map.

Selena: “Hmmm…should be…right around-“

Deanna: “That it?”

The camera turns to show a very obvious shot of the Gateway Arch with St. Louis and the surrounding metropolis around it. We hear the sound of a ball being hit in Busch Gardens before showing a shot of people walking downtown, and a shot of the Missouri Botanical Gardens. We then cut to see Selena and Deanna now coming down the street on their horses before Selena steps off and looks up. The camera turns to show the Dome at America’s Center.

Selena: “So this is where we need to go?”

Deanna: “Looks like it.”

Selena: “Let’s just hope everything is in one piece.”

Deanna: “If not, you’ve got another main event in you, right?”

Selena and Deanna head over to the building before we cut to shots of Selena Frost standing as World Champion at Rise to Greatness, before showing shots of Syren coming to the ring, Gavin Taylor hitting a Gavin Taylor Lariat, Kandis posing with Tommy Valentine, and Adam Allocco posing in the ring. The Rise to Greatness XXI logo comes up on the screen.

Rise to Greatness XXI

July 28, 2024

St. Louis, Missouri

The scene slowly fades to black.

The scene opens back at ringside. Cameras are focused on the crowd a few rows back from ringside. The crowd slowly starts to cheer, realizing who it is. The man, JC sits looking around, with a noticeable brace on his arm.

Sharper: “Folks, the fans here in Britain are seeing this. And we are too. SCW continuing to sign top talent. SCW COO Alex Desoubrais has been very focused on getting top talent and big names who haven’t been in SCW before. And that man is The Bogeyman, JC!”

Knots: “The Bogeyman?!”

Sharper: “And that man has competed all over the world. You can see though he’s wearing a brace on his arm. Injured over six months ago. We understand he is still on the injured list, but you don’t walk away from a talent like that. And he’s going to get a hell of a taste of what awaits him when he’s cleared.”

Knots: “He can see practically the entire roster here. Talk about a hell of a scouting opportunity!”

A “JC!” chant begins as JC smirks a bit. He looks around, briefly acknowledging the chants, as we cut to the ring. Jason Phillips stands in the middle of the ring.

Forty Person Taking Hold of the Flame Battle Royal

Phillips: “Fans…it is now time for the 2024 Forty Person Taking Hold of the Flame Battle Royal!”

The crowd cheers loudly.

Phillips: “The rules are as follows. Two individuals will start in the ring. Every ninety seconds, a new individual will enter the battle royal until all forty have entered. Individuals are eliminated if they are thrown over the top rope and both feet touch the floor. The winner, who is the last person standing, will go on to Rise to Greatness to challenge for the SCW World Championship!”

The crowd cheers again.

Sharper: “And a lot of people want that spot. Not just for the glory.”

Phillips: “Let’s now see who drew number one!”

A few moments pass. The arena goes dark and there the crowd begins to buzz wondering who is coming out.  As "Sonne" by Rammstein begins to play, lasers begin to shoot across the arena to the beat, and a spotlight illuminates The Oracle on the entry way, back to the crowd, holding fingers up with the opening count-up.

Eins...
Zwei...
Drei...
Vier...
Fünf...
Sechs...
Sieben...
Acht...
Neun...

As she holds up the ninth finger, the song stops the countdown at its crescendo, and she throws her arms out to the side...

AUS!

Spotlights begin to swirl around the arena as the song continues, and "The One" Kirsten Scott walks out from backstage flanked by Hailey.  The pair end up on both sides of The Oracle, who turns around and spins to the opposite side of Kirsten from Hailey.  Kirsten and her compatriots stop at the top of the entrance way as “The One” stares directly at her ultimate location inside the squared circle.

Phillips: “The first entrant, from your own personal nightmare, she is “The One” Kirsten Scott!”

As she reaches the ring, she walks along to the hard camera side, and Kirsten jumps up onto the ring apron and stands up. Kirsten slowly raises her arm beside her, pointing one index finger in her own direction. After taking a moment to stare into the hard cam, Kirsten swings her arm out in a "DELETE" motion, before quickly entering the ring, and immediately goes to her corner.

Sharper: “It may be apropos, ‘The One’ Kirsten Scott entering in number one.”

Knots: “So if she wants to get to main event Rise to Greatness. She wants to maybe face Selena Frost, depending n what happens in our World Title match still to come, she has to go the distance.”

Sharper: “She certainly will try.”

Knots: “We’ll see if hate can motivate one to do that!”

The arena goes dark and a  voice can be heard saying ”And the story goes…a young man will come…to save the universe from the forces of evil…” Scott scoffs and walks around the ring. The voice dies down for a few moments before “I Will” by Eminem featuring KXNG Crooked, Royce da 5'9" & Joell Ortiz kicks in.

“And I don't think that I can stop it, here it comes…I do my best to try to block it, redrum…I've been sipping on like, vodka, head's numb...I'm blacking out, you better watch it, it's bedlam…”

The lights come back on and Scott Reed steps out from the entrance way, the crowd erupting in cheers.

“I thought I heard a voice in my head that said, "Kill"
I had no other choice that was left except fill
My pencil full of poisonous lead, the devil
He wants me to murder this beat, so I will”

Reed makes his way down the ramp, slapping hands with fans along the way. He reaches the ring and goes up the ring steps. Going across the apron, he looks out at the crowd once again as they continue to cheer. Climbing into the ring, Reed goes to the center.

Phillips: “Next, entrant number two, from New York City, New York…he is…Scott! Reed!”

He told me there are doubters who question my skill
They wanna put my style to the test, am I still
The best? They want the crown on my head, I said, "Chill
If you want me to murder this beat, then I will"

Reed climbs up to the top rope and points to the center of his chest, mouthing the words, ‘I will’ as the music dies down. Hopping down from the turnbuckle, he leans into the corner, waiting for the match to begin. He turns to Kirsten Scott as the two now lock eyes.

Sharper: “And number two goes to Scott Reed. Fate can play some interesting games and in this one….looks like Reed and the One are going to kick us off.”

Knots: “They can maim each other before the other come out. They’ve been at each other’s throats for weeks.”

The bell sounds. Reed drills One with a hard right. One fires back with one of her own. The crowd roars as they trade blows in the middle of the ring. Reed then goes low and lifts Scott up. Scott holds onto him. They hit the ropes and then fall through the ropes and down to the floor. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “Through the ropes. Remember, you need to go over the top .Both still in.”

Knots: “They’ll need to get back into the ring though!”

The One and Reed roll over and both get up and Reed grabs The One and clubs her in the back a couple of times before The One manages to run forward, pushing Reed back and hard into the barricade. The crowd ohs. Reed and The One go down hard into a heap. The One rolls over as Reed winces and grabs at the barricade. The One grabs him and nails him with a hard right. Knots: “It’s good strategy too! They can’t be eliminated if they’re not in the ring!”

Reed rolls over and The One stomps him again. Reed rolls over and in front of the announce tables. He gets up and staggers to the barricade. The One runs over and goes after him, but Reed lowers his head and back drops The One up and over the barricade to the crowd. The crowd roars. Reed looks up and looks around. She gets up and Reed walks over and grabs her and nails her with a hard right and then knees her in the ribs. Reed then hits a hip toss on the floor. The crowd roars.

Sharper: “Hard hip toss on the ground. There’s only some plywood covering over the floor here.”

Knots: “Yeah. Soft on feet. Not on backs!”

The One slowly gets up and Reed walks over and grabs her and scoops her up and slams her down again. The crowd cheers. Reed plays to the crowd a bit as The One stirs and Reed grabs her, but The One then nails him with an uppercut. Reed falls to the seats. He turns and The One hits a straight kick to the jaw. Doogan slowly stirs as Gavin looks around as Kirsten Scott glares at the entrance way. Braddock and Knox then make their move as Knox goes for Kirsten and Braddock goes for Gavin. Hudson turns and heads over to help Braddock with Gavin as Kirsten Scott holds onto the ropes as Knox tries to lift her up and over. The lights flicker some more before going out to black. The crowd roars as cell phone lights can be seen all throughout the crowd.

Sharper: “The battle royal continuing. Taking Hold of the Flame is still going on.”

Knots: “And The Enigma is here!”

Sounds of movement and even a slam of some sort is heard before the light return and The Enigma is behind Mitch Doogan as he gets up. We see Hudson down on the mat along with Braddock before seeing Knox turning and seeing The Enigma. He looks at Enigma with a speculative eyebrow before Kirsten Scott kicks him off. The Enigma then grabs Doogan and locks in Shadow’s Grasp before leaning over his head. Doogan struggles as Enigma locks the hold on and then turns and throws him to the ropes and Doogan goes over the top rope and plants his hand on the apron only to go over to the floor. The crowd boos as The Enigma tuirns and Braddock looks at him and heads after him and goes for a clothesline, but Enigma dips under and grabs her and hits the Cryptic Slam. The crowd ohs.

The buzzer goes before the sounds of angelic harp chords and arias are heard. The crowd turns to the entrance way as we see six figures in white robes.

Knots: “Oh great, more cultish figures!”

Sharper: “Simon Lyman was holding a walk before this event…and that’s Dylan Howell in their arms.”

Knots: “Great. We’re going to have a dead man in this one.”

Sharper: “Yes, a dead man in his wrestling gear!”

Dylan Howell is carried by the six figures down the entrance way. Many in the crowd look on as back in the ring, Enigma remains holding on as Hudson and Adams work on him. Kirsten Scott works on Gavin Taylor as Knox slowly pulls himself up. Ravyn Taylor remains down on the floor. Braddock grabs at the ropes as Gavin clubs at Kirsten Scott. The One loses her footing and turns around and Braddock walks into Knox who throws her into the corner. Gavin then turns around as Matthew Knox runs at him and hits a crescent kick, causing Gavin to go up and over the top rope to the floor. The crowd ohs. Knox then holds his jaw.

Sharper: “Knox caught Gavin Taylor. Gavin Taylor Lariat, meet Matt Knox crescent kick. And Gavin Taylor eliminated early.”

Knots: “There’s a disappointment for him. Runner up last year!”

Knox turns around and walks into Glory Braddock who chops him. The crowd woos. She chops him again. We cut to the entrance way where the figure lift Dylan up and throw him onto the apron. They leave him there as they turn and head off as we hear loud noise and the camera cuts to a portion of fans in white robes in the crowd. Back in the ring, Enigma fights off Hudson and kicks at Adams. They stumble back. Hudson stumbles back and turns and Enigma runs out and clotheslines both Hudson and Adams down. The Enigma walks around and Kirsten Scott kicks him in the ribs. She forearms him in the jaw. They battle as Braddock whips Knox into the ropes. Knox bounces off and Braddock hits a dropkick. Knox hits the mat and Braddock gets up. She grabs Knox and drags him up and goes to lift him up and over the top rope. Knox holds on, fighting as Braddock keeps trying to lift him up.

Sharper: “Howell dumped on the apron. Braddock trying to eliminate Knox.”

Knots: “Kirsten Scott is still in there. Ravyn on the floor. They’ve forgotten about her. And Scott Reed may be dead in the crowd.”

Sharper: “Kirsten Scott working over the Enigma. Hoping to get him out. Even just for his unpredictability.”

Knox elbows Braddock as The Enigma is in the corner, taking kick after kick from Kirsten Scott. Hudson and Adams stir as the countdown clock returns. Braddock stumbles back and Knox runs out and clotheslines her down. Knox leans on the ropes. The two go up and over the top rope and end up on the ground. The crowd erupts as The Enigma is eliminated. Deanna rolls off.

Knots: “She just eliminated herself to get some more revenge!”

Sharper: “Didn’t get it earlier! Got it here!”

Deanna rolls off as The Enigma rolls over. Deanna lunges and nails him with a couple of hard rights before officials come around to her and try to get her off of The Enigma. The Enigma remains down by the ring. Back in the ring, Knox goes after Hudson while Braddock and Adams square off. Kirsten Scott slowly stirs as Braddock tries to lift Adams up, but Adams blocks it and clubs her a few times. Deanna tries to get back to The Enigma before being pulled away and around the ringside area. Black mist billow from under the ring. Back in the ring, Braddock is then hoisted up and scoop slammed down by Leroy Adams. Knox lifts Hudson up as Hudson tries to block it. Sharper: “The Television Champion on his way to the ring. The new TV Champion. And he could be a dark horse in this one.”

Knots: “There are a few. Leroy Adams is still in there and with the talent in there.”

Sharper: “Exactly.”

Hudson ends up on the apron and Knox stomps him a couple of times, but Hudson manages to roll back into the ring. Creek heads over to the ring and sees Dylan Howell. He moves away and then rolls into the ring. He slowly gets up as he then runs over and hits Knox with a throat thrust. Knox stumbles back and into the corner. Jesus He Knows Me” by Ghost plays as the crowd erupts in boos with the white robed fans cheering. Simon Lyman walks out from the back, wearing a white robe, joined by two of the previously robed figures who brought Dylan Howell out. He heads to the ring smiling, and wearing a headset microphone.

Lyman: “Are you ready for a truly wonderful moment?”

The crowd boos.

Sharper: “What in the world is this? Lyman has increasingly been removed from reality. Detached from it.”

Knots: “Well apparently, we’re getting a sermon? In the Taking Hold of the Flame? Why not?!”

Lyman smiles as he heads to the ring.

Lyman: “We are going to watch something inspiring. We will bring a tortured soul back from the dead!”

The crowd boos as the camera cuts to Dylan Howell who is still down in the ring.

Sharper: “Oh my God…”

Knots: “Hey! Don’t use his name in vain. We’re in the presence of a spiritual leader.”

Sharper: “For what? Insanity?”

Knots: “Well, that tends to help.”

Lyman: “Brother Dylan…your time off the mortal coil will be cut short. You will return to the living!”

Lyman extends his arms as the two men with Lyman grab Howell and slide into the ring.

Lyman: “May the hands of glory come down and help you!”

Just then, the camera cuts to a wide shot where we see a couple of ropes and shackles come down from the roof. They’re off center as we cut to the ceiling before cutting back and we see the two men placing two shackles around the arms of Dylan Howell.

Lyman: “Come on. We need to do this quick, before he is not looked on favourably!”

Lyman walks over to Dylan who is playing dead, limp in the ring. The two men finish their efforts and back up.

Lyman: “May the Lord bless Dylan Howell. Return him to the living as his work is not yet done. The work of yours truly, a man of spirituality and greatness. Of morality! He needs his disciple!”

Just then, a light shines down in the ring. The same angelic melodies when Dylan Howell came out play as we cut to the crowd to see those in white robes extending their arms in the crowd. Lyman extends his hand.

Lyman: “Rise Dylan! RISE!”

At this point, the countdown clock returns. Lyman looks at Dylan as slowly the ropes attached to him start to rise and slowly Dylan starts to be risen from the mat. Lyman smiles.

The Nyan cat appears on the screen, with the crowd popping. The cat in a poptart, farting rainbows steers around and breaks right into the screen, showing a window crack before breaking. At that moment, “Catch Me If You Can” by BABYMETAL’s opening riffs plays, and the girls' voice count:

One-Two
One-Two-Three-Four!

Out pops YUYO from behind the curtains. The crowd roars as YUYO waves her arms around and then points to the ring. She runs to the ring with a determined look on her face. She goes to slide in before stopping and running around. She goes over to Scott Reed.

He whips him into the ropes. Cannon bounces off and goes for a C4, but Knox sidesteps and sends Cannon shoulder first into James Evans. The crowd ohs. Cannon gets up and Knox hits a shoot kick to the thigh and then a jumping knee. Cannon goes down. He rolls over and stirs. Knox then grabs him, but JC grabs Knox again and pulls him back. Knox rolls through and looks up at him.

Knots: “And JC again stopping Knox! He’s almost singularly focused on this man.”

Sharper: “Knox is who injured him.”

Knots: “Yeah, but you could earn a World Title shot in your first night!”

Sharper: “Or do both!”

JC then scoops Knox as he runs at him, moving him to his shoulders. The crowd roars as Knox tries to fight out of it, but Katie Steward then hits a superkick on JC. JC drops Knox. Katie then smirks as she turns, walking right into an Amy Chastaine Lightning Strike. Katie hits the mat and Amy walks over and grabs her. Cannon starts to get up as Bison Jones clubs him in the back. He clubs him again and again before then hip tossing him across the ring. Cannon gets up and Bison turns and walks over to him, only for Bison to miss a clothesline. Cannon reaches up and goes for a full nelson. The crowd roars, but then, Leroy Adams and Waylon Creek run over and collide with Cannon and Bison, each with their own variation of clotheslines. Cannon lets go and stumbles back as Bison stumbles forward. Creek goes after Cannon, but suddenly, David Striker runs up and drills Cannon with the Deadly Rave and Cannon falls into the ropes. Striker lifts him up and eliminates him. The crowd ohs and boos loudly.

Sharper: “And Striker just eliminated Cannon.”

Knots: “Just before he got out of the blocks. The chaos of so many people in there. And Striker saw a shot.”

Sharper: “Freshest man out of the match now.”

Striker turns as Chastaine hoists Katie up onto the ropes. She kicks at them as Creek nails Striker with a hard right. Striker fires back with one of his own. They trades blows as Leroy Adams, showing the time he’s been in the ring, breathes heavily. He heads over to Syren and pulls her up as Cruze stirs. James Evans and Josh Hudson stir, both hurt from Cannon, while Scott Reed looks around. He then gets up, bloodied, and runs over to Kim and pulls her up. Glory stirs as does Eavan Maloney. YUYO rolls over.

YUYO: “Oh no! I didn’t do the thing!”

YUYO gets up and moonwalks but then is grabbed by Cruze who spins her around and throws her over the top rope. YUYO grabs at the rope, hanging in the air before pulling herself back up and into the ring.

Sharper: “YUYO eliminating Katie. Another favourite out earlier than I think they’d want.”

Knots: “So many people in there though. What strategy do you use?”

Sharper: “Become religious and pray?”

YUYO gets back in as Bison clubs Striker a couple more times. Syren blocks blows from Adams, while Cruze turns and nails JC with a hard right. Chastaine staggers out and runs over to Glory, attacking her. Eavan Maloney gets up and walks around as we see Striker and Bison trading blows. Striker then goes for a spinning back elbow. Bison blocks it and grabs Striker in a full nelson. Striker stomps his foot and then gets a back elbow. He turns and runs at Bison, but Eavan Maloney runs up behind him. Striker nails Bison with a clothesline, but Eavan Maloney then hits a running front kick to the back of Striker. Striker falls forward and Bison and Striker start to go over. Just then, Knox runs over and helps the process, lifting Striker and Bison and with Eavan Maloney’s help, they eliminate the two as they land on the floor.

Sharper: “Two for one…or two! Knox helping Maloney. Two more out of the ring and-“

Knox then kicks Maloney in the ribs. Maloney staggers back before forearming Knox with a shot.

Knots: “And now at each other’s throws.”

They trade blows before Reed runs at both and hits a dropkick, splitting his legs between them. Knox and Maloney fall back. Reed rolls over and gets up and runs into the ropes. He bounces off and runs at both, but Maloney and Knox both step up and elbow him in the head. Reed stumbles back and YUYO then grabs him and goes to throw him over. Reed however grabs the top rope, holding on and YUYO runs over to eliminate him. Knox and Maloney head over to help, but just then, Amy Chastaine springboards off the top rope and hits the Blackout on Knox. The crowd ohs. Amy rolls over and gets up and just then, Cruze runs up behind her and uses her, and his, momentum to throw her over the top rope. Amy goes up and over and to the floor. Cruze then backs up as Chastaine turns to the ring, disappointed. Cruze then walks into Eavan who kicks him in the ribs. She runs into the ropes, bouncing back and Cruze sidesteps and sends her over the top rope, but to the apron, a few feet away from Reed, who is struggling against YUYO. Adams is kicked away by Syren and he turns and runs into the ropes. He bounces off and Cruze walks into Eavan, who hits an ring apron enziguri, knocking him back. Cruze turns to Adams, but Cruze ducks at the last moment. Adams goes hard with the Natty Light Lariat, missing. He then stops at the ropes, only to turn around as Syren and Glory run at him and clothesline him down. YUYO is knocked away by Reed before Maloney turns to Reed, but Reed hits a dropkick to her knees. Maloney falls off the apron to the floor. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “And Adams went big. No one home and quickly Braddock and Syren get him out of there. What a performance for that man.”

Knots: “New to the ring and-“

Sharper: “Maloney! She’s out. Reed went low!”

Knots: “Where’s he finding this?”

Reed grabs at the ropes and pulls himself up, but just then, he’s drilled by a Morrigan’s Wrath by Kim. Reed falls off and crashes to the floor. Kim steps over, looking at him. The crowd boos a bit as Kim turns and runs over to James and kicks him in the ribs. Glory now chops at Syren before turning and Cruze goes for a superkick. Glory blocks it and spins him around and then hits a European uppercut. Cruze falls back before turning around as JC then kicks her in the ribs and bends her over before hitting the Schism. The crowd ohs as Braddock turns to her side. JC rolls over and gets up. He grabs her and drags her up before looking at her and then running her over to the ropes and throwing her over the top rope to the floor. The crowd boos as JC looks around, only for Waylon Creek to run over and lifts him over the top rope. JC grabs at the ropes, trying to hold on, but Creek gets under him and lifts him up. JC goes over, holding onto the top rope with his formerly injured arm. He holds on before Knox runs over and Creek and Knox kick at JC before he drops to the mat, landing on his feet. He winces as he turns to the ring. Knox smirks before turning around as Creek nails him with a shot.

Sharper: “JC planting Glory. Glory out. And then JC!”

Knots: “You take the moment to take someone out, and you leave yourself open. JC found that out and Knox made sure he was eliminated.”

Sharper: “Just another sin against him that JC is going to want retribution for.”

Knots: “Not tonight!”

Sharper: “He’s still at ringside though…”

Creek knees Knox in the ribs and runs him over to the ropes. JC starts to head toward to Knox, but officials stop him. JC lets out an annoyed sigh before being escorted away. Knox holds onto the ropes as Creek tries to eliminate him. Kim works over James, while Syren and Cruze grapple for position against the ropes. YUYO meanwhile is with Hudson, attacking him.

Sharper: “And we’re down to eight. One of these eight individuals is going to Rise to Greatness to challenge either Xander Valentine or Selena Frost!”

Knots: “And they’re all just going at it. Paired up. Syren and Cruze, Creek and Knox, YUYO and Hudson, and Kim and James!”

Sharper: “And think of how long some people have been in there. Knox, Hudson, from the first ten. How much do they have left?”

Knots: “For Josh, depends on how much time he’s spent with Bree! You know cardio is important!”

Sharper: “Stop it!”

Creek lifts Knox up on his shoulders as Cruze hoists Syren up. Syren kicks her legs as Knox tries the ropes for leverage. Kim then grabs James and pulls him up and turns and places him against the ropes. YUYO ignores all of this, just stomping Hudson over and over yelling out “JUSTICE!” after each shot. Syren elbows out for Cruze’s hold on her and she drops down. Knox uses the ropes and manages to get Creek in the eyes with a rake. Knox falls down and moves to the corner. Kim tries to get James over, but James turns and lands on the apron. Kim stomps him a few times before James gets a hard right to her ribs. She staggers back. YUYO then moonwalks out from the corner. She then stomps as the British crowd chants with her.

Knox gets up and runs at Creek who scoops him up and then hits the scoop slam/elevated leg drop combo. Knox rolls over. Creek gets up and runs at James, who still is on the apron, but James gets an elbow up. Creek stumbles back. Kim then runs at James and jumps up for something, but James blocks it and pulls her forward and onto his shoulders. He then hits a standing fireman’s carry slam through the table at ringside. Knots: “James just drove her to hell!”

James then drops down and rolls in. Creek turns around and Syren runs over and hits a running jumping calf kick. She rolls through and then Hudson hoists her up and turns and tries to eliminate her. The crowd roars as Syren grabs at the ropes and manages to fight before Hudson stops his attempt and moves to the middle of the ring. He spins her out for the Big Fat Kill, but Syren lands on her feet. She steps back and ends up at the ropes. Cruze, however, gets up and runs at her and Syren lowers her head and the top rope and Cruze goes up and over to the floor. The crowd ohs. Syren looks up and Hudson runs at her and stops, grabbing her and muscling her up. She kicks at him. Knox stirs as Creek staggers and James starts to get up. He runs over to help Hudson as Knox then kicks James in the ribs. James staggers over. Creek heads over and nails Hudson in the ribs. Creek headbutts him and Hudson staggers as Syren falls down and leans on the ropes. Cruze gets up at ringside and nods before turning and playing to the crowd a bit, getting a response. Knox kicks James again and then whips him across the ring. Knox runs after and James gets an elbow up. Knox spins around and turns and falls to the ropes only for Syren to lunge across the ring and hit a Bittersweet Ending, sending Knox up and over the top rope to the floor.

Sharper: “Syren caught Knox under the jaw. The Raven up and over!”

Knots: “What a debut!”

Sharper: “From number seven, but just to the final six!”

James then runs at Creek who has Hudson at the ropes and James goes over to them, only for Hudson and Creek to turn and get Evans up and over. He spins through to the apron. They turn, but Syren runs over and jumps up and helps, nailing Evans in the jaw. Evans falls to the floor. Syern falls back as Creek and Hudson separate, moving to the corners.

Sharper: “And Syren again. Almost desperate to get people out.”

Knots: “She’s been sold on what Ravyn has planned. And we’re down to the final four!”

Sharper: “One of those four individuals will go to the main event of Rise to Greatness. Two legends. Two rising stars. No one here has won the Taking Hold of the Flame before!”

Hudson looks at Creek as Syren moves back to the corner. YUYO remains down in her corner, seemingly dead from Hudson’s Kingdom Come. Creek looks around as Hudson glances at Syren and Syren glances back. Hudson and Syren then run across at Creek. Creek covers up as Syren and Hudson hammer away on him with clubbing blows. The crowd looks on as Syren and Hudson get several shots in before they pull him out and Hudson and Syren whip him into the ropes. He bounces off and Creek slides under their double clothesline attempt. Hudson and Syren turn around and Creek locks in the Canary on Hudson! The crowd roars. Syren grabs at Creek, but Creek locks it on her too. Syren and Hudson struggle, both falling to a knee.

Sharper: “Hudson and Syren trying to eliminate Creek. Creek has the Canary on both of these two hall of famers!”

Knots: “They’re going down! They’re going down!”

Creek stares at both of them before suddenly, YUYO gets up and hits the MAGICAL knee to Creek. Creek stumbles back, letting go. Hudson and Syren take a moment before they run at Creek and clothesline him over the top rope to the floor. The crowd erupts.

Sharper: “YUYO with the assist! Creek is out!”

Knots: “For justice!”

Creek rolls over to the barricade as YUYO backs up and Hudson and Syren turn to her. YUYO then looks at both.

YUYO: “Hey! You don’t look at YUYO like that!”

Hudson and Syren both lunge for her, but YUYO ducks under and jumps to the middle rope and dives back with a twisting crossbody, taking both down. YUYO gets up and dropkicks Hudson down. She gets up and dropkicks Syren down. Syren rolls through to the corner. YUYO runs over and jumps up and kisses her on the forehead. She goes for the Kiss of Justice, but Syren ducks under and YUYO spins through. She then lands on her feet and runs at Syren. Syren backs up and sends YUYO into the corner. YUYO however runs up and turns and instead goes for Hudson. Hudson however catches her and then muscles her up and just dumps her over the top rope to the floor. The crowd ohs. Hudson turns and Syren jumps up for the Total Makeover, but Hudson moves into it, and lifts her onto her shoulders. The crowd roars as Hudson turns and pushes her forward and Syren goes over. She grabs at the ropes, touching the middle rope, but losing her grip and falling to the floor. The crowd roars as the bell sounds and Hudson falls back to his knees.

Phillips: “Here is your winner of the 2024 Taking Hold of the Flame…Josh Hudson!”

Sharper: “Josh Hudson! Returning at Taking Hold of the Flame and outlasting thirty-nine others!”

Knots: “And no matter who he faces, there’s a lot of history there! Josh Hudson in the main event of Rise to Greatness XXI!”

Syren looks up and then falls back.

Sharper: “And Syren again…getting to second. So close…She even tasted it.”

Knots: “The Total Makeover after YUYO got caught. But Hudson knew she may try and guessed right.”

Sharper: “And he didn’t overcomplicate it. He made sure she was cleared enough. She couldn’t grab the ropes and the desperation, the plan…Syren will need to figure something else out. Lexy Chapel will too. Josh Hudson will meet either Selena Frost or Xander Valentine at Rise to Greatness!”

Hudson gets up as the crowd cheers. He looks around as pyro shoots out around the opening in the Wembley Stadium roof. He walks around the ring and nods before leaning on the ropes and then turning, giving a brief yell of accomplishment before he raises his arms. The cameras remain on him for several moments.

Backstage, we see Selena Frost in her gear, storming into the office of CHBK and Lucas Knight.

CHBK: “Selena-“

Selena: “I’m not even going to bother with you. What? Don’t like it? Well I took it into my own hands.”

CHBK: “And you’re just asking for the consequences.”

Selena: “Again…I’m not caring about you. I’m here about you.”

Selena look at Lucas Knight.

Knight: “Don’t look at me. I don’t care for you, doll.”

Selena: “Well, then do you care if London looks like crap. These fans wanted a World Championship match. And you want it to turn into Kandis or Polly or Kirsten coming after me. Yeah…makes SCW look great to these fans. These fans that deserve a winner.”

Knight: “You’re just turning into a nice little hypocrite.”

Selena: “Think what you want. You know I have a point. So Lucas…I’ll get my consequences later. Tonight…you better make sure that no matter what happens, it’s down the middle. Because if not, I swear to God, I will get disqualified so fast and London can see what SCW really has become when I’m not maintaining its honour!”

Selena turns and storms off.

Selena: “Your call Lucas!”

Lucas just scoffs, shaking his head as Selena heads off.

Sharper: “The gall, the absolute gall.”

Knots: “She’s just gone further and further down this power trip of hers!”

Sharper: “But maybe…maybe it all ends. Xander Valentine, the hall of famer. A former rival. And someone as focused as anyone. Can he dethrone her? Let’s see how we got to this World Championship match tonight!”

A recap video plays showing the history between Xander Valentine and Selena Frost.

Xander Valentine vs. Selena Frost

SCW World Championship

A long church bell rings, once- twice- a third time as the crowd explodes. The lights go out as Xander’s voice echoes out over the sound system, increasing the intensity of the crowd’s roar.

“Never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.”

The few opening keystrokes of “Soul on Fire” by Last Internationale chimed. A lull before the storm as the crowd seems to calm for only a moment before Delila Paz’s blues dominate the audio.

“Some are born to kill

Others are born to run

Some need to keep on takin'

Till you ain't got none”

A singular light appears before the curtains, on the other side is the outline of a large man. On the screen, we’re shown Xander Valentine holding onto the bars of a prison cell. He starts to bend the bars before the scene blurs.

“But baby, I wasn't built to die

Lay down and be crucified

Nah, no matter how hard they try

To push me down

Still I rise”

“Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)

Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)”

The curtain drops to reveal Xander. A quick salvo of pyros explodes in front of him before he steps through the smoke with an intense look on his face. He goes from one side of the stage to the next, yelling out to the crowd and throwing up his arms. He then stops at the top of the ramp and throws his arm up into the air. He starts down the ramp, Xander’s gaze affixed on the ring.

Suffocate me until I am blue

To preserve my bad worldview

Paranoid, All Eyes On Me

Rumours circle, vultures feed

Baby, I wasn't built to die

Lay down and be crucified

Nah, no matter how hard they try

To push me down

Still I rise

Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)

Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)

Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)

Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)

Xander leaps up onto the apron in a single bound. Xander climbs up over the top rope and marches straight to the far side of the ring. He throws his arms up again, getting a massive pop. He goes to the opposite side and repeats to garner the same response. He hops down from the rope, and jogs into place, waiting for the bell.

Sharper: “Xander Valentine has not hesitated to say he is on the tail end of his career. He thought it could be it last year at Rise to Greatness XX. But Syren, in his mind, didn’t step up. And he’s since fought to get back to this point.”

Knots: “And a lot has changed, for him, for Selena, since they went at each other years ago. Can this be Xander’s final World Title reign?”

BELIEVE IT... OR NOT!

"Thank You for Hating Me!" by Citizen Soldier plays throughout the arena, the SCW Universe deafening the song with their boos. The lights shift to dark purple and blue, filling the arena as snow is seen “falling” along the electronic floor and screens as, out from the back, walks the Snow Queen, Selena Frost, taking in the crowd of the SCW Universe with a smirk. The SCW World Championship is over her shoulder.

Slowly, Selena shifts her head, her sapphire eyes locked towards the ring as she turns to her side and lifts her front hand gracefully, extending it towards the ring, palm upward. With a lift of her front foot, she suddenly slams it down into the ground, causing a crack like ice to form and sprint down the ramp and towards the ring!

Lowering her arm, the Blue-Eyed Devil walks down the ramp, her steps leaving footprints in the “snow” under her feet. Reaching the ring, Selena goes up the steps and under the ropes to enter it. Once inside and in the center of the ring, she stands still, confident and powerful, as the lights form to make a massive blue and black snowflake under her and the purple and blue lights. Raising her hand back up, towards the audience, once again palm upright, a wicked smirk graces her lips. With a slam of her foot, Selena causes the snowflake at her feet to “crack” as the rampway did, the shards of ice streaking out to all four corners of the ring to shoot out purple streaks of light from the turnbuckle the lights return to normal. She then walks back to her corner, World Title over her shoulder. Aaron Demitra, the SCW Senior Official, steps forward. The bell sounds.

Phillips: “The following contest is your main event, scheduled for onefall and has a sixty minute time limit and is for the SCW World Championship!”

The crowd roars as the SCW World Championship logo comes across the screen.

Phillips: “Your official for this match is senior official Aaron Demitra.”

The crowd boos loudly.

Sharper: “You wonder if Selena’s connection to him leading to those boos.”

Knots: “Well people hate zebras. Just watch NHL hockey! Or any sport if you’re from New Orleans!”

Phillips: “First the challenger…”

The camera focuses on Xander Valentine. He looks at Selena stoically.

Phillips: “Fighting out of Fort Collins, Colorado from Rochester, New York… he is the Paragon of Violence, the Executioner…. He is Xander Valentine!”

Valentine does not taunt. Just continues to look right at Selena Frost.

Sharper: “The focus…”

Phillips: “And his opponent…”

The crowd boos.

Phillips: “Fighting out of Nome, Alaska by way of New York City, New York, she is the Snow Queen, the reigning and defending SCW World Champion…Selena Frost!”

Selena Frost holds her title over her head before stepping to the middle of the ring. She holds it up for a moment longer before turning and handing it to Aaron Demitra. She says something to him. Demitra steps back, sighing, before holding the World Championship over his head. He hands it off.

Sharper: “Selena Frost already has put her fingerprints on the main event of Rise to Greatness. If she can get past Xander Valentine, she will face Josh Hudson at Rise to Greatness XXI.”

Knots: “And she has demanded our host, Lucas Knight, make sure this match is one on one. She is putting SCW’s reputation on the line here and clearly getting more creative. She doesn’t trust CHBK to do what she wants him to do!”

The bell sounds as Selena and Xander look at one another. Selena stretches out a bit and then spins out of the corner. Xander then heads toward Selena. Selena backs away and circles the ring. Xander keeps following and then Selena lunges and goes low and around Xander’s legs. She pops up and goes for a side headlock. Xander hoists her up and throws her forward. Selena hits the mat.
