Xander Valentine - The Executioner, The Paragon Of Violence
#1
Personal Information
Aliases: Xander Fucking Valentine, The Executioner, The Paragon Of Violence
Former Aliases: Abanddon
Real Name: Xander Valentine
Pic Base: Jon Bernthal
Birthdate: 08/13/1983
Birth Place: Rochester, NY
Current Residence: Fort Collins, CO
Years Pro: 18

Personality:
Xander might be one of the most feared men in SCW, known for his explosive anger and sadistic tendencies; however, he seemed to have undergone a transformation. He reigned in his rage. The anger seemed more cold and calculating, becoming a fine-tipped spear instead of a stick of dynamite. Certain patience has grown inside of Xander that never was there before until someone has done something to hurt him or someone he cares for.

He still carries the same anger he always had in the ring, bringing along his characteristic grit and tenacity. Depending on his foe, he doesn’t always aim to win, but he will try to destroy his opponent if he believes it’s necessary.

Physical Description
Height: 6'10" / 209 cm.
Weight: 310 Lbs. / 141 kg
Hair Color: Black
Hair Style: Either shaved or very short.
Facial Style: Often shaved, occasionally stubble.

Detailed Description:
Xander’s posture is still intimidating with his towering height, broad shoulders, and freakish muscular composition. Xander has always been a physical specimen, but with his strict dieting and workout regime, he seemed to have taken it a step further. Scars littered his body, which is evident whenever he removes his shirt. His face seemed to have aged far worse, bags foaming under his cold blue eyes and wrinkles pulling on his skin. Over his heart, the letters ‘RIP’ is itched into a coffin tattoo. Above the coffin, three sets of initials are sound in an arch: KL, MV, and BV. Another set of initials is located below the coffin in much larger font size, reading CB for his late ex-wife, Calli Bennett. On his upper arm on his right side, he has the Executioner logo tatted in the middle of a sleeve that features hungry demons, hollowing ghosts, and grinning skeletons swirling around the logo.

Usual Attire:
Backstage- On nights when he’s not scheduled to compete, Xander is wearing black dress slacks and a buttoned-up dress shirt, with a few buttons undone at the top. Usually white (perfect for blood stains), he sometimes wears a darker shade. He wears a sleeveless tee version of his merch for nights when he is competing, which showcases his build and tattoos.

Street Clothes- During warmer months, Xander is often seen in a tight sleeveless shirt and a pair of name-brand athletic shorts. During the colder months, he also adopts a hoody, and if the temperatures get too cold, he wears denim pants.

Wrestling Attire- Xander has a few ring attires that he cycles through. (1) he comes out to the ring wearing a biker gang vest with the Executioner logo on the back and patches that feature various logos of his, including one with written ‘Paragon of Violence’ over it. (2) an orange prisoner’s jumpsuit except it’s not really a jumpsuit when the sleeves are torn, and everything below the waist is ripped off. Across his heart is a white label that reads Executioner, and on the back is written Paragon of Violence. (3) for bigger, more personal matches, he might don an executioner’s hood over the top of a chainmail shirt. Regardless, he wears tight-fitting black trunks cut off right above the knees. Steel toes leather combat boots, black knee pads, and elbow pads. He competes shirtless. Throughout the fight, he might remove his elbow pads.

Wrestling Information
Style: Powerhouse/Technical
Alignment: Face
Theme Song: "Soul on Fire" by Last Internationale (Xander Valentine version)

Finishers:
[1] Valhalla Has Fallen is Xander's new finisher. It is the Burning Hammer. A common set-up is when his opponent is down, Xander goes to the corner. He leans over, starting to stomp his foot. The crowd mimics Xander. He rushes forward from behind, colliding with his opponent's back with a shoulder block, launching the opponent into the turnbuckle. They bounce back right into the torture rack. Xander pauses for a moment before swinging his opponent for the Burning Hammer. If hit correctly, this finishes any opponent.

[2] Fade to Black is a modified dragon sleeper,

[3] Martial Bane is a tigerbomb off the top rope, though also regularly done standing, occasionally off the apron to the floor. This has been retired since Regan Street's injury.

Signature Moves:
[1]  Single Arm Lift Brain Buster DDT, with a moment or two delays before the drop.
[2]  Bearhug is locked in for a certain amount of time before the opponent is tossed into a sit-out spinebuster.
[3]  Running Yakuza Kick

Common Moves:
1) German Suplex
2) Leg-Capture Suplex
3) Triple Verticals
4) Chokeslam
5) Spear
6) Running DDT
7) Elbows/Knees
8) Multiple Fisherman Suplexes
9) Big Boot
10) Gulliotine Choke
11) Stretch Muffler
12) Belly-to-Back Suplex
13) Sit-Out Powerbomb
14) Upper cuts/Jabs/Boxing Style Strikes (Former Amateur Boxer, Olympic Level)
15) Moonsault

Strengths:
- Even at age 39, Xander is still a freak of nature, extremely strong, agile, and condition for a man his size. Some describe his conditioning as iron man stamina.
- He has an unusual tolerance to pain; rarely has he tapped. If he does tap, it's most likely to avoid injury, especially his knee, as he has an injury history and does not want to have an injury end his career.
- He is a technical genius, which used to surprise his opponents. Still, some assume that Xander relies on his size. One caveat, the assumption is becoming more accurate as he ages against 'unworthy' opponents. He tends to rely on his power wrestling more and more to win matches.
- Fade to Black has been practiced and polished that once the hold locks in, Xander has learned the best way to adapt to his opponent's size to cut off blood flow immediately.

Weaknesses:
- Frustration and temper can get the best of him. He is capable of making mental mistakes, and if pushed to a point, he harms his opponent and gets the DQ instead of actually winning the match.
- Reckless abandon leads him to take risks that cost him dearly, though, in recent runs, Xander is less likely to take the same risks as he used as a younger man. However, if his opponent is a hated rival, Xander will do everything in his power to destroy him and risk injury to do so.
- Despite being incredibly agile for a man of his size, Xander cannot keep pace with wrestlers of small weights. Women, in particular, seem to be able to dodge him quite easily in the early going of matches. Until exhaustion slows them down, Xander sometimes struggles to keep pace.
- His Achilles heel is his right knee. While the nerve damage is no longer as severe, the right bump or enough attacks might cause severe pain and stiffness to flare, disabling Xander. If the match is not deemed 'must-win' by Xander, he will try to protect his knee if targeted.
- He has developed a glass jaw in recent years. He can be knocked cold from a brutal strike to the head. This has led opponents to try to go for the knockout win (likewise, sometimes he uses their eagerness to hit a home run to his advantage.)

Entrance:

A long church bell rings, once- twice- a third time as the crowd explodes. The lights go out as Xander’s voice echoes out over the sound system, increasing the intensity of the crowd’s roar.

Never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.

The few opening keystrokes of “Soul on Fire” by Soul on Fire chimed. A lull before the storm as the crowd seems to calm for only a moment before Delila Paz’s blues dominate the audio.

“Some are born to kill
Others are born to run
Some need to keep on takin'
Till you ain't got none”

A singular light appears before the curtains, on the other side is the outline of a large man. On the screen, we’re shown Xander Valentine holding onto the bars of a prison cell. He starts to bend the bars before the scene blurs.

“But baby, I wasn't built to die
Lay down and be crucified
Nah, no matter how hard they try
To push me down
Still I rise”

“Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)
Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)”

The curtain drops to reveal Xander. A quick salvo of pyros explodes in front of him before he steps through the smoke with an intense look on his face. He goes from one side of the stage to the next, yelling out to the crowd and throwing up his arms. He then stops at the top of the ramp while Artemis steps up from behind him and throws his arm up into the air. Together they start down the ramp, Xander’s gaze affixed on the ring.

Phillips: “Fighting out of Fort Collins, Colorado… from Rochester, New York… weighing in at 300 pounds, standing at six foot ten inches, he is the SCW Hall of Famer, a former SCW World Champion, the Paragon of Violence, the Executioner…. XANDER F’ING VALENTINE!

Suffocate me until I am blue
To preserve my bad worldview
Paranoid, All Eyes On Me
Rumours circle, vultures feed

Baby, I wasn't built to die
Lay down and be crucified
Nah, no matter how hard they try
To push me down
Still I rise

Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)
Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)
Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)
Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)

Xander leaps up onto the apron in a single bound. Artemis joins him by slipping below the bottom rope. Xander climbs up over the top rope and marches straight to the far side of the ring. He throws his arms up again, getting a massive pop. He goes to the opposite side and repeats to garner the same response. He hops down from the rope, and jogs into place, waiting for the bell. Artemis leans up and whispers into his ears before departing with a kiss on his neck.

Biography:
There have been several unauthorized sports biographies of Xander Valentine. Many delve into the abusive household he was raised in the first ten years of his life, but no expert has ever described a definitive account of the events. Yet they have all unanimously agreed that the very behavioral issues Xander Valentine has displayed from time to time after his rise to fame have resulted from his poor and traumatic upbringing at the hand of his uncle. When his grandfather won custody, you would think Xander started to live everyday life as a child; however, some child psychologists believe that Xander’s boxing training started prehaps too young given the violence that he was pulled from. According to Xander himself in interviews, he described his grandfather as a strict but loving guardian.

Xander exploded in size when he struck puberty, growing from a thin, smaller, malnourished boy into a colossal teenager. His grandfather's history as a professional boxer and a gym owner in downtown Rochester influenced Xander's entrance into sports. In high school, Xander dominated amateur boxing competitions, including several Golden Glove tournaments. Never having lost a boxing match in amateur competition, Xander garnered the attention of the Olympic Selection committee to represent the United States. For reasons not clear, Xander did not get selected to compete. Many believe Xander declined the offer after growing tired of the sport due to the ease he experienced in competition. In high school, he played for two seasons as a middle linebacker. His tenure saw him as a three-star prospect, receiving scholarship offers from Buffalo, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, and Syracuse. He declines those offers. In his senior season, he dropped out of football to focus on boxing.

While under consideration by the Olympic Selection committee and wrapping up high school, Xander’s grandfather passed away. It’s believed at this time, Xander was approached by Adam Allocco with the offer of being trained in professional wrestling. Xander seemed to pursue the sport doggedly. It’s even believed he might have wrestled a few matches as a way to make a living. Abruptly around this time, Xander went off the grid. No one is sure where Xander went and what activities he engaged in, leading to a bunch of speculation by biographers. Some circles have anecdotes and tall tales about Xander, from the bizarre satanic cult activity to possible criminal activity. General consensus, however, believes he spent those few years training and preparing himself to become a professional wrestler, his next great challenge.

Xander Valentine exploded in SCW in early December 2004, and quickly rose to the top by claiming the Exodus brand’s World Championship belt before his second month was finished. In May 2005, Xander bested Jason Wheeler to merge Masscare’s World title to form one unified SCW World Champion. He held onto the SCW World title, showing no signs of stopping until Rise to Greatness 2005. At SCW’s annual marquee event, Xander battled through repeated assaults throughout the night to retain, but the attacks ultimately forced him to vacate the belt due to injuries. Upon his return, Xander continued his impressive undefeated streak until succumbing to an upset loss to now SCW legend Josh Hudson. The loss cut his undefeated streak short of the one-year mark.

The loss is often cited as the beginning of a stump for Xander. Despite famous feuds with high-profile stars such as CHBK, Jason Zero, and Greg Cherry… it took another two years for Xander to claim the SCW Championship again. He also held the US Championship and Underground Championship during those two years. The only noteworthy reign out of the three in 2007 was the United States Championship. After Jason Zero finally received his only victory over Xander Valentine at Rise to Greatness 2007, Xander Valentine disappeared from wrestling.

It became clear to many close to Xander that he potentially suffered from severe mental illnesses, which many believed had caused his constant abrupt departures from the sport. Xander has made attempts at returns but failed to receive momentum, personal issues kept forcing him into abrupt hiatuses from the sport. The only noteworthy achievement is Xander’s almost winning the Taking Hold of the Flame Battle Royal in 2008, being the final elimination. Xander also had a strong showing in the 2010 Taking Hold of the Flame Battle Royal. The 2010 return was another short-lived run as Xander vanished from SCW later in the fall of the same year. From everyone’s preceptive, Xander’s once great potential quickly became more squandered as the years passed and the failed comebacks piled up.

Yet, to everyone's surprise, in 2012, Xander returned to SCW when he answered a challenge prompted by Gable Winchester. Xander signed a PPV deal, which he regularly wrestled upon SCW's marquee events. Xander proceeded to win the majority of his matches the following year; however, at Rise to Greatness he suffered a loss to the retiring Shawn Winters in what many considered the match of the year. In early 2013, Xander left wrestling again after losing to Christy Matthews. It is believed that, once again, personal issues convinced both Xander Valentine and SCW officials that Xander needed a break from the sport once more.

In late 2014, TMZ reported Xander Valentine, and Calli Bennett finalized a divorce. The messy divorce resulted in Xander losing almost everything he had. Calli had a restraining order placed on Xander, preventing Xander from ever having contact again with her. Xander was denied partial custody of their son, Connor. Xander lost 50% of his assets to his wife. In a surprise move, Xander sold most of his remaining assets and established a trust fund for his son. Biographers believed Xander felt immense guilt over his failed marriage with Calli and his absent parenting with Connor; however, now cash strapped, Xander started to work on a return to the sport instead of addressing the personal demons that plagued him. At Rise to Greatness 2014, it was announced that Xander was to make his return to SCW after signing a massive pay-per-appearance deal. The contract protected the company finicially while providing significant incentives for Xander to continue competing.

In the spring of 2015, the allegations of domestic abuse led to Xander's release from SCW. Xander reportedly was furious and felt betrayed by the company. Xander left to finish the year in ULW. ULW was a shell of its former self; the revival of the wrestling company didn’t garner the national attention its predecessor once had. Once ULW closed its door, Xander disappeared from sight once again. During this time, Xander reportedly attended therapy sessions and anger management classes. In the Spring of 2018, Xander returned and targeted Jake Starr. In a war between SCW legends, Xander dominated Jake Starr. Yet at Rise to Greatness XV, Xander failed to defeat Ravyn Taylor, and instead passed out to a submission hold. Mr. D, who had a personal investment in the match, decided to fire Xander after the match as punishment for not defeating Ravyn..

For the next nine months, Xander struggled to remain within the SCW, resorting to being a hired gun and skirting around his termination by registering as a manager, being a pawn in Dante McCaffery's world. Soon, he left behind to become a fully reinstated wrestler once more. After returning as a full-time wrestler, Xander has feuded with Selena Frost and Regan Street for the next two years. In the weeks following his surprising knockout loss to Frost at Rise to Greatness XVI, Xander went on a rampage, assaulting Frost's fans in the crowd. This earned him a suspension from not only SCW but also criminal charges. He would return to defeat Selena Frost in an unsanctioned empty arena match. Shortly afterwards, he reached a plea deal that avoided a prison sentence and subsequently resigned with SCW. Selena Frost managed to get the last laugh, winning a Last Man Standing match against him, or it would seem until circumstances pitted the rivals again, this time over the US Championship.

Xander rebounded after his tough loss to Selena, going on a tear. Xander went on to submit Damian Angel to win The Brawl To Settle It All at Rise to Greatness 2020. He redeemed himself against Tommy Valentine. And as mentioned before, he took the United States Championship away from Selena Frost. A huge turning point occurred in early 2021 when Xander Valentine seriously injured Regan Street in their rubber match. Xander went on to retire the Martial Bane as a result and seemed to be afflicted by a guilty conscience over the move. Xander was injured by James Evans, who won the US title off him. The concussion caused Xander to miss time, but he recovered in time to make an appearance at that year's Taking Hold of the Flame. In the act of revenge, Xander concussed James Evans, sidelining him for some time.

Upon his return from injury, Xander experienced further success, topped off by winning the 2021 Trios Tournament with the unlikely team of Team Smashmouth Unicorn Puke with Ducky and Gavin Taylor. Xander’s 2022 started out on a bad note; while he seemed geared up to finally compete against SCW’s all-time great, Syren in a rivalry for the ages, Adam Allocco assaulted him. The assault injured Xander’s right knee. He shocked the world with his return on the Breakdown the following Rise to Greatness XIX, using his Trios contract to challenge Adam Allocco for the SCW World Championship. Revenge seemed to be his motivation. Xander proceeded to take the World title from Adam when they fought on a September edition of Breakdown.

Xander followed up his title victory, by successfully defending the SCW World Championship against Syren in Madison Square Garden, fulfilling his dream to headline an event at that historic locale. This victory sparked a nearly year long rivalry with Syren that didn't conclude with Rise to Greatness XX, where Xander placed his career on the line to prove he's Syren's better. Prior to that, Xander infamously tossed Syren out of the ring at their Retribution rematch following a submission victory over Syren. Between his battles with Syren, Xander ultimately lost the SCW World Championship to young upstart Owen Cruze in December of 2022. When he wasn't engaging in a rivalry with Syren, Xander spent most his efforts thwarting Adam Allocco's various attempts to get back to the SCW World Championship.

After Rise to Greatness XX, Xander Valentine found a new found appreciation for his career after almost being retired by Syren. With a clean slate, Xander searches for the next challenge to attack.
