Here are some news & notes coming out of the latest edition of Breakdown into the final week before Apocalypse.

– A number of title opportunities surprised not only SCW fans but the SCW roster. In fact, we can tell you that Kennedy Street spoke with Mr. D after the show. She seemed relieved after leaving, but obviously, some of the stress of two hard fought losses to Sienna Swann showed itself. In the process, we believe she demanded a match against Dante McCaffery, highlighting her friendship with Amy Chastaine who is engaged in an open relationship with Jason Helms, who was attacked and injured by the Network at the behest of Bree Lancaster.

– Speaking of Jason Helms, Jason Helms is indeed out for Apocalypse and has been told to remain home with a shoulder injury, requiring it to remain in a sling. Whether he listens is another story and it’s possible that he could be at both Breakdown and Apocalypse later this week.

– The SCW Tag Team Division was particularly stunned by the Truelove Twins not getting another opportunity. We are told that Bianca Evans personally informed Mr. D of the fact she had not lost the Tag Team Championship via pinfall and demanded Katie Steward be her partner. As for the rest of the tag division, which includes the likes of the Truelove Twins, the newly formed Redemption, Resurgence, the Brotherhood of the Sith, Red Empire, Raine & Gardner, Har Megiddo and others, many of them are not booked but we’re told many were overheard talking about how they were going to be watching the Evans/Steward vs. Lohan Country defense at Apocalypse closely.

– Finally, with opportunity in the air, a number of roster members noticed the response Mr. D had to Slayter McKinney’s forwardness. Another roster member who spoke with the boss at Breakdown was Konrad Raab who asked for the opportunity to prove himself in title contention. What that leads to for the Iceman is uncertain at the moment, but Mr. D and Katya, his daughter, who was also in the room, were said to be discussing it later.
