Breakdown - June 15, 2024

“Supreme Championship Wrestling...”

A shot of Kelcey Wallace nailing Bree Lancaster with the Perfect Ending, followed by a shot of Steve Griffin hitting the Decimator off the top rope on CHBK at the first Rise to Greatness, before turning a shot of Jake Starr pumping up the crowd on his way to the ring, before turning into a shot of Ravyn Taylor sitting in the corner, waiting for the start of a match. We then see a shot of Katie Steward holding the Women’s Championship before cutting to a shot of Selena Frost hitting Vixen Cain with the Defying Gravity at Supreme Saturday: Just Desserts.

Gavin Taylor hitting the Gavin Taylor lariat on an opponent is next, before we see Cassie Wolfe hitting a Shooting Star Press off the stage onto Lues. Konrad Raab punching Ace Marshall in a steel cage is shown next, before we see Alexis Quinne hitting a standing shooting star press. Lexy Chapel is then shown showing off Syren. Amy Chastaine posing follows.

We then cut to a live shot of the inside of the Ky-Vee Arena in Kansas City, Missouri. The crowd cheers as pyro shoots out from the base of the stage. The display continues for a few moments before spotlights circle the arena and the cameras pan across the crowd for a few moments.

Sharper: “We are live in the midwest of the United States as the Road to Rise to Greatness is upon us!”

The cameras continue to pan throughout the crowd before cutting to the ringside area where Adam Sharper sits with Jonathan Knots at the announce position.

Sharper: “Welcome to ringside. Adam Sharper here alongside Jonathan Knots and Jon, it’s here.”

Knots: “It’s here and we know the main event of Rise to Greatness – Selena Frost will defend the World Title against Josh Hudson!”

Sharper: “And tonight, we expect them to come face to face. Not only that, we’ll see the SCW United States Championship on the line. Deanna Frost defends against Scott Reed.”

Knots:” And will the Enigma get what he deserves. He has Konrad Raab. But Raab’s not here. Isn’t he racing?”

Sharper: “All this and more. And we had a lot of surprises at Taking Hold of the Flame. Some may be here tonight too.”

The opening riff to “Best of Both Worlds” by Van Halen begins to play. Glory Braddock and Brittany Lohan emerge from behind the curtain simultaneously. The fans cheer while Glory goes from one end of the stage to the other, playing to the crowd and getting them into it. Lohan, meanwhile, continues her march to the ring.

Sharper: “And we kick things off with Twisted & Sadistic making their arrival. They teamed with Light in the Darkness and successfully defeated the Dangerous Minds and the Cowgirls from Hell.”

Knots: “After a chaotic match. I’m still trying to catch up!”

Sharper: “But now, we know where this is going – Twisted and Sadistic are the number one contenders to the SCW World Tag Team Championship.”

Lohan heads to the ring as Glory Braddock continues on her way to the ring a few strides behind. Lohan walks around the ring and pulls herself up onto the apron. She then steps into the ring as Glory walks up the steel steps and then steps into the ring. She walks forward as Lohan walks around the ring. Braddock then goes to the corner, grabbing a microphone waiting for her. She turns back to the middle of the ring. Their music fades out as Braddock looks out at the crowd.

Braddock: “So…anyone else want to take issue with us?”

Braddock looks around.

Braddock: “I realize Brittany and I didn’t endear ourselves to too many. But I hope that the last two months have shown we are willing to pay the consequences for what we did. We did not run. We did not hide. And we stepped up and at Taking Hold of the Flame, with the help of Light in the Darkness, we beat Dangerous Minds and the Cowgirls from Hell. And now we move on…”

Braddock turns to the stage.

Braddock: “Because what started all of this…we have one more shot. We’re the number one contenders to the SCW World Tag Team Championship…and we want our shot.”

Braddock looks at the stage.

Braddock: “Luz, Amelia, you ensured that things didn’t get out of hand. Now we want to give you the final match this situation between us deserves. Because two on two, you’ve never beat us. And we want to remove all doubt!”

“In the Name of Love” by Arion feat. Cyan Kicks begins to play, the LED screens flickering to life to show a large wisteria tree in front of a starry night sky with a beautiful moon, the stars seeming like they’re slowly shifting and dancing around as petals from the tree fall and gracefully glide through the sky. A spotlight shines down on the stage as La Pequena Luz and Amelia Blythe walk out from the back, wearing the SCW World Tag Team Championship belts around their waists.

Sharper: “Looks like this is not going to take long. Light in the Darkness are not hesitant to respond to a challenge.”

Knots: “And it’s a challenge already in motion!”

Blythe and Luz walk down to the ring. The crowd watches them as Braddock nods. Lohan stands, arms folded across her chest. Luz hops onto the apron as Blythe heads up the steel steps. They both wipe their feet and enter the ring. Luz and Blythe step forward as Braddock looks at them. Lohan keeps her watchful eye on the champions. Blythe then extends her hand, wanting Braddock’s microphone. Braddock looks at her and obliges, handing it over. Blythe takes it and looks at her.

Blythe: “We are finally here then. Over a month later than we figured it would be. A result of what the two of you did.”

The crowd gives a mixed reaction to that.

Blythe: “Now, Glory, I know you’ve said you’ve regretted some of it, but that the ends justifies the means. And Brittany, we’re not even going to bother asking if you regret it. We know you don’t.”

The crowd roars.

Blythe: “But while we will step up and defend these titles against anyone put in front of us. We have NEVER stepped away from that. But we have wondered about your word after everything. And before we even stand here and shake your hands in what, yes, it is a formality. We want a promise from the two of you that we’re not going to be spending the next month and a half defending you from the consequences of your own actions.”

The crowd looks on. Luz and Blythe look Braddock and Lohan in the eye.

Blythe: “We can’t keep doing as we did. So if we’re on the collision course, then, I think this is more than fair.”

Blythe extends her hand. Luz does the same to Lohan. Braddock doesn’t hesitate and immediately does shake Blythe’s hand and then Luz. As she does, the camera picks her up apologizing to both. Braddock then turns to Brittany who remains standing behind her, arms folded across her chest. Luz and Blythe extend their hands to her. Lohan looks at them and slowly unclenches. She steps forward, before suddenly “Sweet but Psycho” plays throughout the arena. The crowd turns and boos as Luz and Blythe turn around. A pink hue comes over the stage as Katie Steward walks out from the back, flanked by TJ Johnson, and Gigi Steward. Gigi looks down at the ring as Katie Steward smiles as TJ Johnson presents a microphone to Katie. Katie takes it and looks down at the ring.

Katie: “Hold on there! Hold on!”

The crowd boos a bit.

Katie: “I’m sorry to interrupt this wonderful moment. But this is a bit premature!Two teams that were rivals and now allies, fighting together, before now settling their score…it’s almost something out of Hollywood. But that final chapter has not yet been written and the real movie is about to happen!”

Katie smiles.

Katie: “And it’s star and it’s director are here. The final acti s going to have quite the twist because you’ll been all in the movie that began one year ago and it started with you two, Glory and Brittany, and it will end with you again.”

Katie smiles as the crowd boos..

Katie: “Because Light in the Darkness, your story will end next week on Breakdown. Because Gigi and I, we have a World Tag Team Championship match against you. You need to defend your title against us! And we are going to unveil the plot twist and Team Desire is going to defend the World Tag Team Champions at Rise to Greatness…in a historic moment as I finally win those titles. And then, we’ll get our revenge on you, Brittany, Glory. Oh yes…the Stewards will be back on top!”

Katie extends her arm as the crowd boos. “Sweet but Psycho” plays again as Luz and Blythe look at one another. Lohan just scoffs as Braddock shakes her head. Katie smiles as she then turns to Gigi. Gigi nods at her and Katie nods back. Katie turns back.

Sharper: “Before we may see Twisted & Sadistic face Light in the Darkness one more time, could Team Desire play the spoiler next week. Tag Titles on the line.”

Knots: “The Stewards love to play spoiler and with history on the line!”

Sharper: “It’s what Katie has wanted for the last year, if not more. She wants to win the Tag Titles. She’ll have won every title she could. Will that happen next week?”

Knots: “Would be a hell of a movie, y’know.”

Katie and Gigi then turn and head to the back followed by TJ Johnson as the scene cuts away.

Static comes over the screen as we cut backstage to see Phantom Troupe members, Chris Dumont and David Striker backstage. Dumont is sitting down next to his gear.

Striker: “Already moving on. I aint done yet. I aint ready to move on.”

Dumont: “We can still do one more. Light in the Darkness don’t deserve the speedbump. Twisted and Sadistic too.”

Striker: “You’re telling me.”

Striker runs his hands across his face.

Striker: “Well, we’ll just have to see about that. After we also deal with the Straders too. I aint letting you take the fall there.”

Dumont: “Hey, I got caught.”

Striker: “No doubt. Doesn’t mean I have to like it. We weren’t an oiled machine like we should’ve been. And I’m NOT going to let that define us. We do what we do, Chris. And that’s make an impact.”

Dumont: “I plan to do that tonight.”

Striker: “Creek…that freak.”

Dumont: “I’m going to make him regret how he just beat Aisling and then cast her aside when Lohan got involved. He IS now involved and I plan to take a fight to him.”

Striker: “I’ll be right at the curtain in case anyone tries something.”

Dumont nods as Striker pats him on the back.

Dumont: “Just have something to watch first…”

Striker stops and turns.

Striker: “They’re up next?”

Dumont nods.

Striker: “Then move over…”

Striker sits down as Dumont slides over. Static comes up on the screen and Breakdown goes to commercial.

COMMERCIALS

Breakdown returns as we open up near one of the loading docks to see Veronica Strader on her motorcycle. She revs it a few times before leaning back. Jaina Lancaster walks over to her.

Jaina: “Veronica? Can I get a word?”

Veronica nods and turns off her motorcycle and turns to Jaina.

Veronica: “Looking for the post-match sadness?”

Jaina: “Nothing like that. Just curious if you heard the comments of the Dangerous Minds backstage moments ago/”

Veronica scoffs.

Veronica: “Blaming Cara and I for it? Bold since Cara was wrestling with a bum shoulder and still kicked ass-“

Jaina: “Not quite. More unhappy that you weren’t a well-oiled machine.”

Veronica: “Another shocker. Given that we were at each other’s throats for who would string Brit and Glory up…well, so be it. Can’t make everyone happy. Just like I’m not happy that I’m standing solo right now. But for David, Chris, whoever, I’m not hard to find. I think I made that clear. I’ll fight anyone. And at some point, when Cara is recovered, Light in the Darkness, Twisted and Sadistic, the Cowgirls from Hell are going to ride down to that ring to throw downa again. And this time, we want gold.”

Jaina: “Until then? Without Cara?”

Veronica: “I’m just looking for trouble.”

Veronica then stands up and turns. She smirks at Jaina and walks past her heading into the arena.

The Shining Maidens vs. Body, Heart & Soul

A coin can be heard dropping into a coin slot and then the words “START GAME” show up on SCW’s Jumbotron. A bunch of girls can be heard giggling before “C’est La Vie” by B*Witched begins to play.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall with a fifteen minute time limit. First, on their way to the ring, they are Body, Heart, and Soul, Colleen and Aisling!”

The music plays for quite some time and it is not until it comes to the first chorus that Colleen and Aisling walk out from behind, wearing matching pantsuits. They look around before starting to head to the ring. Colleen looks on focused as Aisling plays to the crowd a bit. They make their walk down the ramp. Colleen and Aisling reach the ring and slide in. They get to their feet and raise their arms overhead. Colleen and Aisling walks around the ring.

Sharper: “Colleen and Aisling back in tag action here tonight on Breakdown and the tag division showing off what it was capable of at Taking Hold of the Flame.”

Knots: “And next week, Light in the Darkness will be defending those titles against Team Desire. If Team Desire does it, we’ll see history next week and a rematch from last year’s Rise to Greatness this year at Rise to Greatness!”

Radio static fizzes over the load speakers. A male voice, thickly accented, call out in monotone.

“NEMO. YUYO. SAWA. SHINY! MAIDEN! KITTY?”

A Fortune Cat appears on the screen, the arm waving as a short countdown begins: 3… 2… 1… And everything goes crazy, pink and yellow strobe lights shine out onto the crowd and stage, streamers explode from around the entrance curtains. The opening riffs of AmaLee’s cover of “No Pain No Game” from the anime Btooom! Play:

The ending of this story

YUYO pops out and rolls forward, she poses. Behind her, NEMO and Sakura runs out. All three pose at the top of the ramp, NEMO and Sakura placing the backs of their hands under their chin while YUYO raises her arm up. They suddenly break formation, NEMO and Sakura runs to opposite corners of the ramp.

I gotta crush and paint away the anguish
Of my past for sake of my future
Until my life comes to an end
I am gonna fight to tear apart that destiny

Phillips: “Their opponents, they are from Japan by way of San Diego, California, accompanied by Magical Cosmic Princess YUYO, they are Crimson Demonic Princess NEMO and Radiant Angelic Princess SAWA, they are the Shining Maidens!”

All three execute timed pelvic thrusts with chops. Meowkazawa steps out behind the three grls and claps his hands together. The Shining Maidens begin to goose march in a straight line down the ramp. Again, Sakura goes right, NEMO goes left while YUYO hops up onto the apron in an amazing leap. While her compatriots roll in underneath the bottom ropes, YUYO grabs the top rope and flips over.

Aah, break out and start a revolution
Until you find the answer you’re looking for
I’ll challenge all my limits
Knowing this could be my only chance now
To overcome this fate has come over me

YUYO drops down to her knee, and all three pose again, with finger guns held to the side of their heads like Charlie Angels. They discard their entrance attire, whatever whack unnecessary, restraining pieces of cosplay they have on that week. Meowkazawa collect their stuff while still applauding.

Knots: “Oh God…there’s more of them!”

Sharper: “The Shining Maidens are here. Led by Magical Cosmic Princess YUYO-“

Knots: “Who nearly won Taking Hold of the Flame. Just think of that. Selena Frost could have defended against YUYO!”

Sharper: “That’s not the case. Josh Hudson getting that honour. But the Shining Maidens, another new set of signings by CHBK. The SCW Roster getting more and more depth to it. Every win could be make or break.”

The bell sounds as SAWA turns to NEMO and NEMO nods to her. YUYO points as Aisling and Colleen talk before Aisling starts off for Body, Heart, and Soul. Aisling walks out to SAWA who suddenly grabs her and goes for an inside cradle!

Aisling kicks out. The crowd ohs. Both get up and SAWA apologizes before Aisling looks at her and then goes for a grapple. They grapple and Aislnig pushes SAWA to the corner. Aisling then chops her. The crowd woos. She chops her again. More woos. She then whips SAWA across the ring. Aisling runs after and SAWA ends up on her shoulder. Aisling turns and steps out, but SAWA spins out and into another inside cradle.

Aisling kicks out. SAWA dives for NEMO, but Aisling catches her and takes her down. She dives forward and locks in a side headlock. She pulls herself up along with SAWA. SAWA reaches around.

Sharper: “SAWA already with two nearfalls.”

Knots: “Almost like she was going for a record.”

Sharper: “And Aisling trying to just slow it down, making it her match.”

SAWA pulls Aisling to the ropes and fires her off. Aisling bounces off and SAWA steps up, but Aisling jumps up and locks in a crucifix before dropping down into a pin.

SAWA kicks out. She rolls back and into NEMO. NEMO enters and runs at Aisling and hits her with a clothesline. Aisling rolls over and gets up and NEMO grabs her and knees her in the ribs once and then again and again. She pushes Aisling into the corner. She then whips her across. NEMO runs after and Aisling gets a boot up. NEMO staggers back and turns around and Aisling jumps up and frankensteiner’s NEMO face first into the middle turnbuckle. She rolls over as the crowd ohs. Aisling rolls over and over to the corner and tags in Colleen. Colleen enters and runs over and clubs NEMO in the back. She clubs her again and then goes to whip her into the ropes. NEMO spins through and sends Colleen in and NEMO hits a dropkick. Colleen hits the mat. She turns and gets up and NEMO grabs Colleen, dragging her over to SAWA. NEMO tags in SAWA before she steps back, holding onto Colleen. SAWA slingshots in and runs at Colleen, hitting a clothesline, as NEMO hits a Russian leg sweep. The crowd ohs. SAWA dives back for the pin.

Sharper: “Russian leg sweep/clothesline combo. Hard impact.”

Knots: “And SAWA actually hitting someone! Not going for a pin…well…”

Sharper: “There’s the pin!”

Colleen kicks out. She turns as NEMO exits. SAWA grabs Colleen and wrenches the arm. She then whips her into the ropes. Colleen bounces off and SAWA hits a hip toss. She runs into the ropes and goes for a flipping senton. Colleen, however, rolls toward SAWA and SAWA misses. SAWA gets up and Colleen lifts her up and hits a Samoan drop. The crowd ohs. Colleen then turns and tags in Aisling. Aisling climbs to the top rope as Colleen scoops SAWA up and slams her down with a slam. She then runs over and grabs Aisling and press slams her off the top rope and onto SAWA. YUYO yells at the official to get Colleen out “for justice!” Colleen obliges nonetheless. SAWA turns, holding her stomach. She gets up and turns and Aisling jumps up and hits a hurricanrana into a pin.

SAWA kicks out. Both women get up and Aisling kicks her in the ribs. She whips SAWA int othe corner. Aisling runs after and hits a running backsplash. SAWA stumbles forward as Aisling then hits a snapmare before running across the ring and hitting a diving clothesline to her chest. Aisling turns and goes for the pin.

SAWA kicks out. Aisling turns and then tags in Colleen. SAWA stirs as and clasps her hands together, but Aisling and Colleen then both grab her and wrench her arms, flipping her forward. Aisling then steps forward into the hands of Colleen who flips her up int the air, causing Aisling to hit a corkscrew moonsault.

Sharper: “And the assisted corkscrew moonsault!”

Knots: “Colleen and Aisling have been getting some new ideas!”

Sharper: “And SAWA getting tested on them. The Shining Maidens may be getting more than they bargained for in their debut!”

Aisling rolls through and out of the ring. Colleen goes for the pin.

SAWA kicks out. She rolls over and reaches out for NEMO. YUYO yells at Colleen to let NEMO in. Colleen instead pulls SAWA up and then scoops her up and hits a ribbreaker. Colleen then runs into the ropes. She bounces off and goes for a running senton backsplash, but SAWA gets her knees up. Collene grimaces and slowly gets up. She turns and SAWA dives and tags in NEMO. NEMO enters as Colleen runs at SAWA. NEMO nails her in the ribs with a shot before spinning out from the corner. NEMO starts giving some crotch chops as SAWA pulls Colleen into the corner, before running out briefly and then running back and going for a monkey flip, launching Colleen forward and into NEMO for the Magical Girls Gone Wild. NEMO rolls Colleen over and hooks the leg.

Colleen gets her shoulder up.

Sharper: “And only two as Colleen the recipient of that double team.”

Knots: “And some insulting too!”

Colleen rolls over and NEMO grabs her, pulling her up and hooking her up in an adominal stretch. She then flips forward and drives Colleen into the mat with the Crimson Driver. She stays down for the pin.

Aisling breaks it up. Colleen rolls over as NEMO lets go. YUYO orders SAWA in and SAWA enters the ring and Aisling quickly sidesteps her, sending her into the middle rope hard. The crowd ohs as she snaps back. NEMO gets up and Aisling hits an enziguri kick to the head. NEMO falls over. Aisling helps Colleen up. Aisling whips SAWA into the ropes. On the rebound, Aisling goes to grab her, but SAWA counters into an Octopus Stretch. The crowd roars. NEMO then runs over and hits a double knee facebuster, finishing the Intergalactic, Planetary. The crowd ohs. Aisling rolls over. NEMO gets up as Colleen runs at her and hits a hip check. The crowd ohs. NEMO falls back. SAWA then runs at Colleen and Colleen sends SAWA into the corner. SAWA hits hard and drops to a seated position. Colleen runs at her and hits the Facewarmer. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “Back and forth and Colleen taking out SAWA!”

Knots: “NEMO in trouble too. Aisling rolling to the corner!”

Colleen helps Aisling out of the ring before motioning to her. She nods and makes her way over to the Body, Heart, and Soul corner. Colleen heads over to NEMO and pulls her up before whipping her into the corner. Aisling hits a forearm. Colleen then runs at her and spears her in the back. She tags in Aisling as Colleen then pulls NEMO out and Aisling slingshots over and Colleen sends NEMO shoulder first into the ringpost. She steps out and Aisling then locks in the tarantula! The crowd roars.

Aisling lets go and NEMO drops to the mat. Colleen exits the ring as Aisling then grabs NEMO and pulls her out to the middle of the ring and then hits a Michinoku driver. Aisling rolls off and moves to the corner. She climbs to the top rope. She looks over at NEMO and suddenly, SAWA, climbing back up on the Shining Maidens corner, runs along the apron. Aisling boots her back. She rolls off. Aisling turns and dives off with a swanton. NEMO rolls out of the way. Aisling rolls through. She gets to her feet and turns. NEMO flips her off before kicking her in the shoulder and then hitting a vicious Scarlet Blade.

Sharper: “Aisling rolled through, but right into the Scarlet Blade. That’s what NEMO calls that kick!”

Knots: “Aisling is down and half out of it!”

The official checks on Aisling who waves her off. NEMO then tags in SAWA. SAWA enters and NEMO looks at her. They then turn and moonwalk back. NEMO into Colleen’s corner though as SAWA ends up in a neutral corner. They go to stomp, but Colleen grabs NEMO and drives her face first into the top turnbuckle. SAWA then runs over and jumps up and forearms Colleen knocking her off. SAWA then turns to NEMO as Aisling stirs. They both run over and kick her in the ribs, knocking her down. They quickly moonwalk back and they then start to stomp quickly.

They lunge and then hit the MAGICAL KNEES. As they do, in Japanese lettering and in English, pink balloon letters come up on the screen, spelling “EXPLOSION!”

Knots: “Explosion?!”

Sharper: “Magical Knees! By the Shining Maidens. Aisling and Colleen not making it easy!”

SAWA goes for the pin as NEMO runs at Colleen and baseball slide off the apron.

The crowd roars as SAWA rolls off and looks around, almost stunned. YUYO jumps up and down as Meowkazawa applauds. NEMO heads over and pulls SAWA up, raising her arm. YUYO enters and puts herself between SAWA and NEMO, raising their arms.

Phillips: “Here are your winners, via pinfall, Radiant Angelic Princess SAWA, Crimson Demonic Princess NEMO, the Shining Maidens!”

Sharper: “The Shining Maidens, on their entry voyage here on Breakdown, victorious, in one hell of a match against Body, Heart, and Soul.”

Knots: “Colleen and Aisling were not going to give them an easy night and they made sure the Shining Maidens are ready for SCW!”

Colleen gets up and moves to the ropes as Aisling rolls to the apron. Colleen helps her out of the ring. The Shining Maidens remain in the ring, posing, as Meowkazawa applauds them on the floor.

CHBK speaks to Dean Black in his office.

CHBK: “We’re going to have to deal with it.”

Black sighs.

Black: “I know.”

CHBK: “Just get him here and we’ll go from there-“

Dakon Theron opens the door, followed by Ginny Raab, who is on her phone, and Ludvig Eriksson.

Ginny: “We need to talk.”

CHBK: “What’s this for?”

Ginny takes her phoner and puts it on speakerphone. She throws it on the desk.

Konrad: “Can the son of a bitch hear me?”

CHBK: “I assume I’m the son of a bitch.”

Konrad: “The hell are you doing booking me on a Saturday. You know I’m busy with my racing career.”

CHBK: “Well that’s nice and all, Konrad-“

Konrad: “No! I am not leaving this race. I’m not leaving one thing I love and giving up more for that son of a bitch, Enigma.”

CHBK: “Then you’re going to give up your chance at revenge. I am not postponing this match. It’s been promoted. I would have thought you’d want revenge-“

Konrad: “You son of a bitch. I’ll kill you where you stand if-“

Ginny grabs the phone and takes it off speaker.

Ginny: “I’ll handle it!”

She hangs up as Ginny turns to CHBK as Theron and Eriksson advance on the desk.

Ginny: “We will take care of it. Don’t move the match. We’ll resolve it our way. Dakon…Ludvig…come on.”

Ginny turns and heads off. Theron looks at CHBK and glares at him as Eriksson leaves. Theron then heads after Ginny. CHBK watches them leave as the scene cuts away.

COMMERCIALS

We cut to a shot of Steve Griffin hitting a top rope decimator on CHBK from Rise to Greatness 2003, before cutting to a shot of Alistaire Allocco proudly holding the SCW World Championship and then showing a shot of Kelcey Wallace, Trinity Street and Lucas Knight standing over Ravyn Taylor and Kennedy Street at another Rise to Greatness event. A shot of Kandis smiling as she looks at the World Championship in her hand follows.

“This is your Rise to Greatness Rewind.”

The scene opens up at Rise to Greatness 2012. Shawn Winters is down in the ring, facing Xander Valentine. Xander jumps up for a leg drop, but Shawn rolls out of the way. Both men get up and Shawn suddenly drills Xander Valentine with yet another Kiss the Sky. The crowd erupts in cheers and both men are laid out in the ring again.

Knots: “Not again! He hit it again!”

Sharper: “Superkick! Xander kisses the sky yet again!”

Knots: “That’s perseverance! That’s why he’s one of the best! He somehow got free!”

Shawn Winters looks around and then winces a bit. He then starts to slowly crawl over to Xander and throws his arm over him again. Xander remains down.

Xander shoots his shoulder up again! The crowd in view jump to their feet in shock. Charlie Laurio even leans forward in shock, looking in the ring. Winters rolls over and onto his back. Xander remains down on his back.

Sharper: “And a kick out! I don’t believe it!”

Knots: “He’s going to have to literally kill Xander to win this?!”

Sharper: “Three Kiss the Skies and Xander is still coming!”

Knots: “This is what Shawn awoke on Ammo a few weeks ago.”

Xander remains down and Shawn Winters slowly crawls over to the corner. He looks around as he grabs at the ropes and slowly drags himself up to the corner. He leans on the top turnbuckle clearly in pain as Xander starts to stir. Winters remains in the corner before Xander turns to his side and starts to pull himself up. He manages to get his feet under him and Winters turns and looks over to him. He lines him up and Xander turns around to Winters before Winters lunges and drills him with the fourth Kiss the Sky of the match. The crowd cheers again and Winters drops down and hooks the leg.

The crowd rises to their feet in roars and cheers as “I’m So Paid” echoes throughout the arena. Shawn rolls to his back as Charlie slides into the ring. Shawn Winters just remains laying in the ring.

Phillips: “And your winner, Shawn Winters!”

The referee walks over to Shawn as Charlie checks on him too. He then sits up and just remains seated for a moment as Charlie pats him on the back. Xander remains down in the ring as Shawn Winters looks around and nods.

Sharper: “Shawn Winters needed to hit every move in the book to keep the Executioner down, but in his final match of his career, he does what he’s always done and that’s win the big one!”

We cut forward. We see Shawn Winters standing in the ring as Xander Valentine starts to walk up to the back with the official. Charlie Laurio exits the ring as Winters looks around as the crowd cheers him. A “Thank You Shawn!” chant begins as his music fades out. Winters looks around and just nods before smirking a bit to himself. He remains in the ring, just looking around at the eighty-thousand fans packed in the Metrodome.

Sharper: “What a moment for that man. One more moment on the greatest stage. Love him or hate him, he’s one of the best.”

Knots: “You can say that again.”

Shawn continues to enjoy the sight before turning and nodding before walking to the ropes and taking a deep breath. He then steps out of the ring and drops down to the floor. He nods to Charlie before the two start to make their way up the rampway towards the back. The camera continues to show this for a few moments.

The Rise to Greatness XXI logo comes up on the screen.

A long church bell rings, once- twice- a third time as the crowd explodes. The lights go out as Xander’s voice echoes out over the sound system, increasing the intensity of the crowd’s roar.

“Never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.”

The few opening keystrokes of “Soul on Fire” by Last Internationale chimed. A lull before the storm as the crowd seems to calm for only a moment before Delila Paz’s blues dominate the audio.

A singular light appears before the curtains, on the other side is the outline of a large man. On the screen, we’re shown Xander Valentine holding onto the bars of a prison cell. He starts to bend the bars before the scene blurs.

The curtain drops to reveal Xander. A quick salvo of pyros explodes in front of him before he steps through the smoke with an intense look on his face. He starts to walk down the rampway to the ring.

Sharper: “Xander Valentine challenged Selena Frost at Taking Hold of the Flame for the World Championship. And it looked like he could win. Frost superkicked a fan in the front row, missing Xander. Xander took advantage. But the official was focused on the fan and Kandis came out to keep Selena down, but Xander attacked Kandis.”

Knots: “One of the biggest decisions he made. Was it a mistake? He’s not World Champion. To me, a big mistake!”

Xander Valentine walks down the rampway to the ring. He then walks up the steel steps and steps into the ring. He walks across the ring and over to the corner, grabbing a microphone waiting for him. He turns back and walks over to the middle of the ring. His music fades out and Xander paces around the ring a bit.

Xander: “You all are waiting for this…the fact that I’m not World Champion…”

Xander pauses, walking around a bit.

Xander: “To be that close. To have the feeling of Selena Frost’s will to fight slowly sapping. To feel it when I drove her into the mat.”

Xander smirks.

Xander: “Oh I wanted it too. But I have no one to blame but myself…”

Xander looks down.

Xander: “Some of you may question my decisions that I made. That I could have stood here as the World Champion, but then again, when you’re on borrowed time, there’s desperation, but there’s what you really want. And I’ve been on borrowed time for five years…exacerbated by last year when my ending was rewritten by the disappointment of my opponent. A worthy end was not coming and I-“

???: “-and you proved you’re a complete idiot!”

Xander turns to the entrance way as Kandis walks out from the back, microphone in hand. She stands on the stage and looks at Xander.

Kandis: “I was going to hand you the World Title. You could shut that bitch up…and you were too good for it?”

Xander: “As I said…there’s what I really want.”

Kandis: “If you wanted to lose in what going to be your last World Title shot, then fine. How about you then save us the speech and self-righteous and screw off!”

The crowd roars.

Kandis: “I have had to watch Selena Frost act like she’s better than everyone. She comes back after months away and pull her contract BS and take MY revenge away from me. She lucks out at Retribution and when I have my chance to get it all back, she sticks her nose in MY business. And you’re too good to accept my help for the greater good, knocking Selena Frost off the mountain and making her have to look up where I’ll be standing to kick her ass one last time to shut her up for good!”

Kandis looks down at the ring.

Xander: “Your problems aren’t what I care about.”

Kandis: “No shit. I should’ve knocked your ass out when I had the chance several weeks ago. You may then have been forced to retire and we’d not be here. Xander, I don’t care who you are. I don’t care what you’ve done. To me, you will always be what you were at Taking Hold of the Flame…the dumbest son of a bitch in this sport.”

Kandis clearly is getting riled up. Xander just looks down, taking deep breaths.

Kandis: “Keep brooding because I’m done. I’m done with this and next week, a little spoiler for you all. They’re letting Selena Frost have her moment. She can think she’s going to face Josh Hudson. But next week, Selena has to deal with me. And she won’t be walking out!”

Kandis looks at Xander.

Kandis: “Maybe I’ll just take your moniker…I’ll be the Executioner. And end Selena Frost’s egotistical run for everyone’s sake.”

Just then, the crowd roars as Kirsten Scott walks out from the back. She takes a few steps and Kandis stops, noticing the roar from the crowd. She turns back. The One Kirsten Scott looks at Xander Valentine. Kandis then turns to her as Scott grabs the microphone, leaning it towards her.

Scott: “You and me both. As for him…You thought I didn’t deserve my shot. I at least left nothing back.”

Kandis: “My point exactly. Go f*ck yourself, Xander. We’re going to finish your dirty work.”

Xander scoffs as he leans on the ropes. Kandis turns with Kirsten Scott.

Sharper: “Scott and Kandis working together?”

The crowd then roars as we see “The Raven” Matthew Knox walk out from the back. He takes a few steps, microphone in his hand. Kandis and Scott look at Knox as Knox walks over to them, sizes them up. He then takes a few steps toward the ring and looks at Xander Valentine.

Xander: “You have something to say too?”

Knox looks at Xander and then Kandis and Kirsten Scott.

Knox: “Oh yeah…and if this is my competition…well, there’s going to be some changes at the top of the card. But go ahead and screw off or whatever. And you two commit murder. I’ll pick up the scraps.”

Knox smirks as he turns and walks back up the rampway. He steps past Scott and Kandis who eye him. Knox continues to the back.

Knots: “Well that’s a bit arrogant.”

Sharper: “You’ve just not met Matthew Knox. He comes in and he wins titles. He just put SCW on notice just like that.”

Knots: “Why would you poke this?”

Sharper: “I don’t think he cares.”

Knox heads to the back, tossing the microphone behind him. It hits the stage and bounces as Kandis and Kirsten Scott then turn and head to the back as Xander Valentine watches them leave.

The scene cuts away.

Backstage we see Polly Pingotti walking down one of the hallways. The crowd roars as she walks with purpose, muttering something under her breath, inaudible to the cameras. She takes a few more steps before storming over to the locker room door of Selena Frost. The crowd roars.

Sharper: “While Kandis and Kirsten Scott are belittling Xander Valentine, Polly Pingotti may beat them to the punch!”

Knots: “Oh God…we could have fireworks already!”

Polly bangs on the door.

Polly: “Selena! You want to jump me. Come on and do it face to face!”

Polly pounds on the door again. Polly waits for only a moment. She bangs on the door again.

Polly: “I will wait all night! I don’t care about your stupid main event. I just want you!”

Polly bangs on the door again before Lucas Knight jogs over. The crowd boos a bit seeing him. Lucas Knight then heads over.

Knight: “Polly, love, what are you doing?”

Polly: “Exactly as it looks like. I’m going to just kick Selena Frost’s ass right now. Since apparently she will do what she wants, I’m not in contention, so I’m going to make myself feel good!”

Knight: “You can’t do that. You can’t just jump the champion. Look, this isn’t the way. You’ve got her next week with Kandis and Kirsten.”

Polly: “Do I look like I want to wait?”

Knight: “You’re going to have to.”

A few others officials head over as we see Dean Black too. Polly bangs on the door again before she’s forced back.

Knight: “Polly!”

Polly lets out a frustrated yell as she’s held back.

Polly: “I will get her! She’s going to face what she’s got coming to her because of HER decisions!”

Polly backs up as Knight and Black stand in front of the door.

Knight: “Thanks for bringing the cavalry.”

Black: “We could hear her down the hall. Look, you need to come to talk to Alex.”

Knight: “I’d rather jam a fork in my eye-“

Black: “We need to figure out what happened at Taking Hold of the Flame-“

Just then the door opens and Selena Frost steps outside. The crowd boos. Knight and Black turn to her.

Frost: “Yeah…how did she end up at ringside?”

Selena Frost looks at Lucas.

Frost: “Is anyone able to do their job around here? To protect the champion. Your most important asset? Or did she give you a private show? I’m sure Trinity would love to hear that-“

Knight: “Don’t you dare.”

Frost: “Well then?”

Knight: “I don’t need to answer to you.”

Knight turns and heads off as Black walks with him. Frost watches them go as Breakdown cuts to commercial.

COMMERCIALS

Breakdown returns as we see Xander Valentine walking backstage. Destiny Page runs over to him.

Page: “Xander! Xander…can I just get a comment?”

Xander stops and turns back to Page.

Page: “Kandis didn’t hold back. You really just took it though. In the past-“

Xander: “In the past, I would have eviscerated her.”

Xander stops Page.

Xander: “But this isn’t the past. As I said…sometimes decisions are made in the moment based on what I really wanted. I thought I was going to retire a year ago. Forced to do it. It didn’t happen. And I know I could have beaten Selena at Taking Hold of the Flame. It didn’t happen. It also didn’t need Kandis to be involved. But Kandis can be a raging tornado. What’s going to happen next week if she fails.”

Xander goes to walk off, but Destiny Page stops him again.

Page: “What about Matthew Knox?”

Xander: “What about him? Arrogant people come and go.”

Xander turns and walks off.

Adonis partially rises to his knees, waving out to the crowd as chants of "KABLAM" ring out throughout the arena. The cloud continues to roll it's way down the ramp.

The women on the cloud toss out small, travel-sized bottles of Derek Adonis Heavy KABLAM Lubricant and folded up travel brochures to the crowd.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall with a ten minute time limit. First, on his way to the ring, accompanied by the KABLAMia Tourism Department, from KABLAMia, he is Man Mountain, Derek Adonis!”

The cloud makes it to the bottom of the ramp and Adonis hops off first, reaching up to help the four primary women off. They step down, each planting a kiss on the cheek of Man-Mountain before heading up the stairs. Adonis follows up last and pulls himself through the ropes, lifting them for the four women to enter the ring as well.

After finishing (heh), Adonis moves to the middle of the ring, posing with the four women around him. As the song ends, he bellows out with it...

Adonis: "KABLAAAAAAAAAAAAM!"

Sharper: “And Derek Adonis did not Take Hold of the Flame-“

Knots: “I didn’t even get a damn pamphlet! Derek! What the hell?”

Sharper: “But the tourism board was out in full force and you wonder how KABLAMia’s tourism is doing.”

Knots: “Things are rising and there’s nothing hotter, Sharper!”

Diamond and the Gem Stones begins to blare all across the sound system and as it does we are able to see the likes of the Gem Stones playing on a tron. Ruby, Emerald, and Sapphire are all playing various instruments as we are able to see Diamond Steele emerging from the curtain. She has a microphone in her hands sings as loudly as she can.

Phillips: “His opponent, from London, England, she is Diamond Steele!”

Diamond finally makes it to the ring and she quickly runs up the ring steps as she grabs the turnbuckle as hard as she can. She immediately leap frogs over the ropes and bounces about before she points at the crowd who cheers louder than before. She waves at them off as she throws the microphone to the side. She smirks as she opens up a pocket mirror and takes a moment to admire how beautiful her hair is as she waits for the match to begin.

Sharper: “Diamond Steele hoping to set off her run here on the road to Rise to Greatness on the right foot. She’s been start and stop for some time.”

Knots: “This is the time though. With new names coming in, big names, hungry names, you need to take advantage of what you can!”

The bell sounds as Adonis does a bit of a shimmy, pulling up his pants. Diamond looks at him and the two lunge at one another. Diamond ducks under Adonis’s arms and spins around and then forearms him in the back and then grabs his right arm and wrenches it. Adonis winces as Diamond jerks on the arm. She then wrenches it again before kicking Adonis in the chest. Adonis staggers back. Diamond steps up and kicks him again in the ribs. She then dropkicks him and Adonis hits the mat. Adonis rolls to the ropes and starts to get up. Diamond gets up and heads over and clubs him in the side of the head and then again, before Derek shoves her back. Diamond rolls through and Adonis runs out and hits a running clothesline.

Sharper: “Adonis fighting off Diamond Steele to start. Steele coming out aggressively.”

Knots: “Guess she doesn’t want to travel to KABLAMia!”

Diamond rolls over and gets up and Adonis kicks her in the ribs. He whips her across the ring. Diamond bounces off and Adonis catches her when she goes for a crossbody. Adonis then hits a fall forward slam. He goes for the pin.

Diamond kicks out. Adonis rolls off. He gets up as Diamond rolls over and stirs. She moves to the corner and Adonis heads over and Diamond kicks him in the ribs. Diamond does it again before then leaning back in the corner and shoving Adonis back with both of her boots. He slowly rolls back and gets up and Diamond runs out and hits a single knee facebreaker on Adonis. Adonis falls back. Diamond walks around the ring before running to the ropes, jumping to the middle rope and twisting back with a leg drop to the face of Adonis. She follows up with a pin attempt.

Adonis kicks out. He rolls over and stirs before Diamond grabs him and hits a knee to the chest. Adonis pops up and Diamond grabs his head and runs up the corner and spins through with a tornado DDT.

Sharper: “Diamond Steele drives Derek Adonis into the canvas. Tornado DDT. On the button.”

Knots: “Derek Adonis is going to need some help from his Tourism Board later. Right now, he’s getting his ass kicked.”

Sharper: “Diamond Steele just staying aggressive on Man Mountain, the former multiple time TV Champion.”

Diamond gets up and drags Adonis up and shoves him into the corner. She kicks him a couple of times and walks across the ring to the opposite corner. She then turns and runs at Derek and goes for a corner Yakuza kick, but Adonis moves out of the way. Diamond winces as she pulls her foot out of the corner and turns around to Adonis who hoists her up and hits a Samoan drop. The crowd cheers. Adonis rolls over and gets up. Diamond winces in pain and Adonis turns and hits an elbow drop. He then drags her up and whips her into the corner. Adonis runs after and Diamond gets an elbow up. Adonis staggers back. She runs out and hits a floatover DDT. The crowd ohs. Diamond rolls him over and hooks the leg.

Sharper: “Diamond caught him coming in. Float over DDT. The cover!”

Adonis gets his shoulder up. Diamond rolls off. Adonis stirs and rolls over. He gets to his hands and knees. He slowly gets up and Diamond runs over and jumps up and goes for the Diamond Cutter, but Adonis counters and throws her down. Diamond pops up and moves to the corner. Adonis runs at her and hits a running clothesline.

Knots: “And just sandwiching her. Adonis is a big man!”

Sharper: “And Diamond Steele down in a precarious position!”

Derek Adonis back up and turns to the middle of the ring. He turns to Diamond Steele who drops to a seated position. Adonis looks around as the crowd roars before he runs at Diamond and jumps up and hits the Lady’s Choice. The crowd roars as Adonis connects with his version of the broncobuster. He gets up and walks around the ring. Diamond falls to her side. She turns and slowly gets up and Adonis waits for her to do so. She does and he locks in a full nelson before hoisting her up and hitting a sitout full-nelson drop. The crowd ohs. Diamond pops up and rolls over to her back. Adonis crawls over and hooks the leg.

Diamond gets her shoulder up. Adonis rolls off.

Sharper: “Only a two as Adonis has his most sustained offence in this match so far.”

Knots: “And Diamond Steele wants this win, but at what cost?”

Sharper: “What do you mean?”

Knots: “She’s making sure she’s not going to get an invite!”

Adonis gets up and walks over to Diamond and grabs her. Diamond reaches up and hits a jawbreaker. Derek staggers back. Diamond then gets up and runs at him and Adonis hits a powerslam. Adonis rolls over and moves to the ropes. He exits to the apron. He looks around as the crowd roars. He then starts to climb up to the top rope. The crowd roars as Diamond Steele stirs, slowly starting to get up. Diamond turns to the corner as Adonis gets to the top rope and then dives off with the Top Rope F*ckinator. The crowd ohs as he connects.

Knots: “Jesus Christ! She’s dead!”

Sharper: “He hit it! And now…the cover!”

Adonis remains on Diamond Steele.

The bell sounds. The crowd cheers. Adonis rolls off and smiles. He gets up and staggers forward. He then struts a bit before throwing his arm in the air.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Derek Adonis!”

Sharper: “Derek Adonis victorious tonight here in Kansas City.”

Knots: “And Diamond…she may not even realized the cost of tonight. Not going to KABLAMia.”

Sharper: “Why is that off the table? If she wants to go?”

Knots: “I don’t know. I just get paid to say whatever the hell I want here! Go Oilers!”

Adonis moves to the ropes before turning to his Tourism Board and asks them to continue to pass out pamphlets. Adonis continues to play to the crowd, even acting as if he’s directing the KABLAMia Tabernacle Choir as his music plays throughout the arena.

Backstage, in one of the locker rooms, we see Lexy Chapel, wearing glasses, and with a laptop in front of her. She taps on the keyboard before turning and writing down on a pad of paper.

Chapel: “Okay…okay…”

Chapel looks around before snapping behind her.

Chapel: “Listen! Syren! Syren! I got it!”

The camera pans back to show Syren and Ravyn talking. Syren then stands up.

Syren: “Look, Lexy, I was just going-“

Chapel: “You were not going to wait! And you’re not going to follow HER plan. We did and it failed! I knew I should have taken the lead. And I’ve got it. I’ve ran the numbers. Bought this supercomputer.”

Ravyn: “That’s just Autumn’s laptop-“

Chapel: “BOUGHT A SUPERCOMPUTER!”

Chapel glares at Ravyn before turning to Syren.

Chapel: “And you eliminated seven people, right?’

Ravyn: “You needed a supercomputer for that?”

Chapel: “I’m gathering support, SATAN! You know my dad. He’ll want everything confirmed fourteen times over. And I am…Syren…you have seven wins!”

Chapel smiles.

Syren: “Excuse me?”

Chapel: “I’m going to convince him that you have seven wins. Each elimination should be a win!”

Syren: “For the ten….look, maybe I just focus elsewhere-“

Chapel: “I will not have Selena Frost take the most sacred of sacred records from you Syren! Come on!”

Syren looks at Ravyn briefly before then turning back.

Syren: “Make your case. If he accepts it…then…fine…seven wins.”

Chapel: “Okay!”

Chapel goes as she steps out of the locker room.

Chapel: “OH HELLO AUTUMN, MY WIFE, and FALL!”

Chapel steps in to the room, looking right at the camera, and then pointing as Autumn Valentine steps into the room with Fall St. Patrick, in full get-up, looking as if it is Autumn Valentine, behind her. Chapel smiles sheepishly before running off.

COMMERCIALS

“Psycho in my Head” by Skillet plays as the Breakdown logo comes up on the screen. A still of Kandis vs. Polly Pingotti vs. Kirsten Scott vs. Selena Frost comes up on the screen.

Sharper: “Folks, much more to come here tonight, but next week, when Breakdown returns to Thursday nights, we have a big night.”

Knots: “Big night and we could see a bloody night. Polly Pingotti already went after Selena. Kandis and Kirsten Scott already calling out Selena. Selena Frost has to deal with the actions she did at Taking Hold of the Flame!”

The Breakdown logo comes up on the screen as we see a shot of The Bogeyman J.C.

Sharper: “We will also hear from J.C. who debuted at Taking Hold of the Flame, going right for Matthew Knox. We’ll also see Matthew Knox make his Breakdown debut.”

The Breakdown logo comes up again and we see a still of Eavan Maloney vs. Kimberly Williams for the SCW Underground Championship.

Knots: “And we’re going to see some blood spilled here. They were fighting tooth and nail at Taking Hold of the Flame. They’ve gotten each other’s attention. I said to keep Maloney away from Williams. Instead, Williams and Maloney will go to war over the Underground Title, next week!”

Sharper: “And as mentioned, the Tag Titles on the line too. Team Desire to challenge Light in the Darkness. But let’s now go backstage to Jaina Lancaster who is with the Underground Champion, Kimberly Williams.”

The Breakdown logo comes across the screen. Jaina Lancaster stands next to Kimberly Williams in the interview area.

Jaina: “Thank you Adam. I’m with the SCW Underground Champion, Kimberly Williams and Kim, you will face Eavan Maloney, Sykobitty, next week, defending your title. You and her have gone back and forth a bit.”

Kim: “I like her!”

Kim smiles.

Kim: “I’m liking these new people. First Davey Boy, now Eevee…I get to have fun. While I wanted to win Taking Hold of the Flame and shock the world, I’ll settle for spilling some blood, especially after I beat Enigma at Taking Hold of the Flame. Crazy can deal with delusional well! I would know!”

Kim shrugs.

Kim: “I have to figure out what I’m going to do next week. I can give Eevee a proper welcome and-“

Eavan Maloney then comes into the scene.

Maloney: “Bring whatever you can. But bring your own…Barbie is MINE!”

Maloney looks right at Kim.

Maloney: “Bring your worst. We’re going to paint South Beach red!”

Kim smiles too as Maloney heads off. Kim then turns to Jaina, beaming.

Kim: “I like her!”

Kim smiles as the scene cuts away.

The Enigma vs. European Fiery Nation

Off To War by Behemoth plays over the sound system with the lights being dark as ever as Ginny stands in the middle, Ludvig on the left and Dakon on the right-hand sides, looking at the crowd and got heavy boos. When the lights briefly came back on, you see Dakon, Ludvig and Ginny waving their Norway, Sweden and German flags.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall with a fifteen minute time limit. First, making their way to the ring, accompanied by Ginny Raab, coming from Sweden and Norway, they are Ludvig Eriksson and Dakon Theron, known as The European Fiery Nation."

The lights go out again as they walk down to the ring with their flags. They reach the ringside area and step up the stairs. They enter the ring and they gave their flags to Ginny. She steps back as Eriksson and Theron pace around the ring, eying around the arena.

Sharper: “This is a change. Konrad Raab scheduled for this match initially, but his racing schedule preventing him from being here.”

Knots: “Well maybe Konrad needs to prioritize. Does he want revenge or not?”

Sharper: “He does, but Theron and Eriksson are stepping in and Ginny Raab still at ringside!”

The arena falls into complete darkness as a haunting melody, "Whispers of the Abyss," begins to resonate throughout. Eerie silence sweeps over the audience, and a sense of anticipation builds.

Suddenly, a soft, bluish glow illuminates the entrance ramp. Mysterious mist starts to billow out, creating an otherworldly ambiance. The crowd hushes, waiting in awe for "The Enigma's" arrival.

A spotlight slowly emerges, revealing "The Enigma" standing at the top of the entrance ramp. He's cloaked in enigmatic attire and his haunting mask. His presence seems to draw the energy from the surroundings.

With supernatural grace, "The Enigma" descends the ramp. The mist swirls around him, concealing his every step, as if he is a specter emerging from the abyss.

The audience watches in silent fascination as he reaches the ringside area. The enigmatic symbols on the walls of the arena come to life, glowing in response to his presence.

Phillips: “Their opponent, from Parts Unknown…The Enigma!”

"The Enigma" ascends the steel steps, never breaking eye contact with his opponents. His gaze remains hidden behind the mask, adding to the mystique surrounding him. Theron and Eriksson keep hyping each other up. The Enigma then steps into the ring. Inside the ring, he spreads his arms wide, and the eerie mist intensifies, shrouding the entire ring. The audience is captivated by the mystical display before them. Just then, Theron and Eriksson run over to the Enigma from behind and knock him down. The music abruptly ends as Theron and Eriksson, the black mist still billowing into the ring, start to stomp away on The Enigma.

Sharper: “Theron, Eriksson, they were getting ready to just jump him.”

Knots: “Trying to make it through this display. And the mist is still there, but they’re going to town on The Enigma!”

Sharper: “Stomping him over and over!”

The crowd looks on as Theron and Eriksson continue their assault on the Enigmatic One. The official for the match, Steve Hollinsworth tries to get them back to try and reset things, but Theron turns and just blasts Hollinsworth with a hard right. Hollinsworth goes down as the crowd ohs.

Sharper: “This is not going to be a match. They’re not even going to let it get to that point.”

Knots: “They’re going to beat the everloving hell out of the Enigma!”

Enigma remains down as Theron and Eriksson continue to stomp away on his body. The black mists hovers around him and the feet of Theron and Eriksson as they do not hold up. The crowd looks on stunned as Enigma stops even flinching from the assault. Theron and Eriksson continue to wear out Enigma with stomp after stomp before Theron pulls Eriksson back. He then turns to him and says something to him before turning briefly to Ginny and then turning back to Eriksson. They then turn and walk over to the body of the Enigma. Together they drag him up. Enigma seems to be completely limp. A camera shot shows Enigma’s face, showing his eyes closed.

Sharper: “Have they just knocked him out from the pain? Has he fallen unconscious?”

Knots: “I don’t have a clue. We’ve never see anything like this. We’ve seen him down for a bit, but never just completely out!”

The Enigma remains out as Theron then turns and stands behind the Enigma. He places his head between his legs and slowly lifts him up into the electric chair. Eriksson exits to the apron and climbs up to the top rope. The crowd looks on as Theron turns to Eriksson and yells at him.

Theron: “Take his fucking head off!”

Eriksson steadies himself and dives off with a clothesline, hitting the Fiery European Destroyer on The Enigma. The Enigma hits the mat and rolls over. Eriksson rolls over as Theron looks at the Enigma and smiles. He then looks at him.

Theron: “You’re nothing! You wanted this! You caused this! Get him up!”

Theron again motions to Eriksson as Eriksson turns and heads over and helps Theron pulls The Enigma up, who remains down, seeming unconscious. Officials jog down from the back as the bell sounds at this point, trying to just distracted Theron and Eriksson. Instead, they get The Enigma up and then Theron grabs him by the head and turns and drives him into the mat with the Blade Driver. The Enigma drops down, back face down into the black mist that covers the ring. Theron gets up and looks at The Enigma smile on his face. Eriksson looks down at him. Theron then pats him on the chest and tells him to go up. Eriksson smiles as he does. The officials reach the ring and Theron runs over and kicks at the ropes. Eriksson climbs up to the top rope. The Enigma remains down, face down into the mat. Eriksson gets to the top rope and smiles before then looking down and diving off with the Swedish Fiery Press. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “Eriksson with the Swedish Fiery Press! The Enigma has not moved unless moved by the European Fiery Nation!”

Knots: “They have just drive him into the mat, driven themselves into him. The Enigma may be done just like that!”

Theron kicks at the ropes, keeping officials back as Eriksson gets up and looks at The Enigma. Ginny Raab smiles.

Sharper: “And Ginny Raab enjoying this. Living her retribution through the European Fiery Nation.”

Knots: “Konrad Raab not being here may have been a blessing in disguise!”

Theron turns and high-fives Eriksson as they turn to the downed body of The Enigma. Officials climb onto the apron. Eriksson and Theron then turn and look at The Enigma before walking over to the ropes. They kick at the black mist for good measure before Eriksson slingshots over the top rope and lands on the floor. Theron steps through the ropes and down to the floor. Ginny heads over to him and Theron places his arm around her. She smiles with Theron as they admire their handy work. Just then, The Enigma violently sits up. The crowd erupts. Theron and Eriksson’s faces go from smiles to rage. Ginny backs away, stunned.

Sharper: “My God!”

Knots: “The hell! How the hell?!”

The Enigma then starts to get up as Theron and Eriksson lunge to the ring, stopped by officials. The Enigma remains in the ring, staring down Theron and Eriksson. The crowd looks on, cheering as The Enigma starts to laugh through his mask. Theron and Eriksson glare at the ring in anger. Ginny turns away as The Enigma just continues to laugh as the scene cuts away.

COMMERCIALS

Backstage, CHBK is with Lexy Chapel. Chapel, somehow, as she didn’t have it when she left her locker room, has a pile of folded up printer paper.

Chapel: “I’ve been crunching the numbers and along with proving that superkicks do solve everything. Just something to consider when you talk to Lucas.”

CHBK: “Really?”

Chapel: “Well trying to help out. I mean….I scratch your back, you scratch mine-“

CHBK: “Just get to the point.”

Chapel: “Okay, so I know this stupid Syren needs to win ten matches thing is STILL holding over her head, even though, she’s a legend, a star and-“

CHBK: “She agreed to it.”

Chapel: “Haven’t you ever regretted something-“

CHBK: “Well-“

Chapel: “Don’t answer that! You’re lucky I’m in this world, making sure that the conspiracies are kept at bay and doing what is best for Syren!”

CHBK: “Just get on with it.”

Chapel: “I propose we use her eliminations at Taking Hold of the Flame as wins. I mean, they are wins. She did DEFEAT them. They went over the top rope and to the floor and well, Syren was on a tear. She had SEVEN eliminations. Should’ve been more…maybe we go by who she outlasted? That could be a possibility-“

There’s a knock at the door as Lucas Knight walks in.

Chapel: “SUPERKICK HIM!”

CHBK: “Lexy…”

Lucas: “Nice to see you too Lexy.”

Chapel: “Can you please wait. I’m trying to-“

CHBK: “You know what, Lexy…whatever…sure. I have more important things to worry about.”

Chapel: “What? Real…well, in that case…Fall St. Patrick should totally be-“

CHBK: “Don’t push your luck.”

Chapel: “But-“

Lucas: “I’d leave, love. Before he changes his mind. That is if you care about Syren.”

Chapel looks around.

Chapel: “Okay…don’t superkick him.”

Chapel turns and runs off. Lucas turns to CHBK.

Knight: “Look, before you-“

CHBK: “I’m not angry. I don’t really care. Selena Frost has become increasingly more over the top. She caused that problem. Next time…focus on what you think is best.”

CHBK pats Knight on the back.

CHBK: “I figure you’ve beat yourself up enough about it. But unlike the past, I need people who know how to deal with the con. Let D have the legal past. We’re former wrestlers and we’re running the asylum…and we’ve had differences, but I know you can do good work. Heard about it in Detroit and elsewhere.”

Knight just nods.

CHBK: “Trust that. And as for Selena, she’ll need to deal with me. I mean…who booked the four way for next week?”

CHBK walks off, allowing Lucas to have the office to himself as Breakdown cuts to the ring.

The scene opens up live in the Ky-Vee Arena. The cameras pan across the crowd before “Jesus He Knows Me” by Ghost plays throughout the arena. The crowd boos loudly.

Knots: “You ready for your nightly dose of BS?”

Sharper: “I don’t even know what to expect here. Simon Lyman staging a resurrection at Taking Hold of the Flame. And then Amy Chastaine returning to the ring and quickly eliminating him.”

Knots: “Just a normal night for Simon!”

A few moments pass before Simon Lyman walks out from the back, wearing a white robe, his arms outstretched. The boos only grow. Dylan Howell walks out, also wearing a white robe, along with Lisa Archer and Elijah Smith. The foursome start to head to the ring, led by The Savior Simon Lyman. The boos continue as Lyman leads his congregation to the ring. He reaches the ring and then walks up the steel steps. He then steps into the ring. He extends his arms again as he looks around. A spotlight then shines down on him, dimming the lights around him. Dylan Howell steps forward as does Elijah Smith. Lisa Archer is handed a microphone. She turns back, entering the light of the spotlight and placing the microphone in Simon’s hand. Simon then smiles as he brings the microphone to his mouth.

Lyman: “Kansas! Where are my followers?!”

The crowd boos as Lyman looks around, smiling. The cameras cut to darkened parts of the arena, trying to find fans cheering.

Lyman: “A shame we can’t be in a civilized nation like England. There, I had so many followers. They understand what I am trying to do. They understand I am just trying to help. They understand that I am endowed with something special. Right, Brother Dylan?”

Dylan Howell nods repeatedly as the crowd boos.

Lyman: “This man…dead before the world, came back to live. He ROSE at Taking Hold of the Flame. He came back from his back to his feet, his arms raised to the heavens!”

Lyman looks up as Dylan just nods the entire time.

Lyman: “From death, to life, and at my hand!”

The crowd boos as Lyman looks around. Dylan holds his arm up to the air.

Lyman: “And it was not the only resurrection I performed. I do not rest on my laurels. While I try to inspire, I also try to help. And at Rise to Greatness, Sister Amy, she rose from the depth of the hell she has put herself into.”

The crowd boos.

Lyman: “She can claim it was because of some other competitor. She can claim it is in another promotion. But it was all her…she has been a shell of evil, of weakness, of disgust for oh so long. And it was all avoidable, but she just succumbed to every one of her vices, and showed she is not capable of leading anyone.”

Lyman shakes his head.

Lyman: “The Lancaster family…held to her hellish ways. They still support her, enable her. She should have been cut off. But she was not. But yet again, Your Savior…Me! I gave her a will to live. Despite having no reason to care for her, except her destruction, I have put my petty vengeances aside and Amy Chastaine returned, full of energy…if only to burn out as a supernova.”

Lyman smiles.

Lyman: “Unlike Brother Dylan here, who has embraced a path forward, the resurrection of Sister Amy will be short-lived. Because as she does, motivation means nothing to her. She will fall back on her ways. She will be enabled by those who claim they care for her, and she will be put back in the ground and this time, maybe for good.”

Lyman looks around, standing in his spotlight. The crowd boos.

Sharper: “Just disgusting. Amy Chastaine has had multiple problems with alcoholism…and he’s just belittling it all.”

Lyman: “I have tried to save all those near her…Sister Breezus….Sister Jaina…I was just trying to help, to rip you from that circle. Dylan and I were just doing the righteous thing. The hold of Sister Amy is too strong. But that is fine…you will soon understand the glory of him and that him is me…and Dylan…you will help me drive her from hell and into the arms of the heavenly!”

Lyman turns to Dylan who smiles.

Lyman: “And you soon will be out of the grasp of that witch, that Jezebel, that Nothing and-“

The crowd roars as we see movement behind Simon only to see Amy Chastaine, brandishing a chair, sliding into the ring from behind. She runs over and nails Lyman right in the back with it. The crowd roars. Lyman falls forward and out of the ring. Amy turns and swings and nails Elijah Smith in the shoulder. He goes down as Archer bails out of the ring. Amy steps forward as Dylan Howell runs at Amy and Amy turns and swings the chair right at the knees of Dylan. Dylan goes hard into the mat. He rolls over, grasping at his knees.

Sharper: “Amy Chastaine! From behind! With a chair!”

Knots: “She’s risen again!”

Sharper: “And Dylan Howell, right to the knees! Amy nailed him in the knees.”

Lyman rolls over on the floor as Amy turns as the lights come back up. The crowd cheers some more as Amy Chastaine turns and looks at Lyman.

Chastaine: “You’re staying the hell away from my family, asshole!”

Dylan tries to slide away but Amy turns and nails him in the side again. The crowd cheers. Simon looks in the ring, eyes widened as Elijah is down on the floor, clutching his shoulder. Lisa Archer looks around. Amy then drags Dylan out by the leg.

Amy: “And trust me…he aint getting up this time!”

Amy then opens the chair and places it around the right ankle of Dylan Howell. Howell tries to slide away, but Amy stomps him in the face. Dylan falls back before she turns back and looks at the chair.

Amy: “RISE!”

Amy stomps the chair, crushing Dylan Howell’s ankle in it. Howell yells in pain as the crowd cheers. Howell yells in pain. Amy then looks at Dylan again.

Amy: “RISE!”

Amy stomps on the chair again. Dylan yells out again and rolls over and moves to the apron. Elijah and Archer head over to Dylan and pull him to the floor. The crowd cheers.

Sharper: “Amy Chastaine…the ankle of Dylan Howell!”

Knots: “That resurrection was short! Dylan’s not going to be standing up any time soon!”

Sharper: “Just may have snapped his ankle!”

Lyman looks at Amy Chastaine in shock. Amy Chastaine mockingly extends her arms only getting more of a roar from the crowd. “Hell & Consequences” by Stone Sour plays throughout the arena. Lyman then breaks the staredown with Amy and heads over to Dylan as Chastaine glares at him. She then turns and looks around at the crowd before exiting the ring. She heads to the back as the crowd roars.

COMMERCIALS

Backstage, Ravyn Taylor and Syren are seen talking as Autumn Valentine is getting ready for her match.

Ravyn: “Just remember, you drive your path. I may have pushed the one way, but more to push you. I know that’s starting to feel live, laugh, love and all, but I will support your decision.”

Syren: “Look, do I want to be World Champion again…who wouldn’t. But…I enjoyed being Adrenaline Champion. I enjoyed…something different…a new challenge. And Lexy…”

Ravyn: “She’s really focused on this Selena thing, but right now, she’s still champion. When that changes…”

Syren: “I-“

Ravyn: “Relax…I have non-lethal ways.”

Autumn: “I’d pay to see that.”

Fall St. Patrick remains in the room, silence, but present.

Syren: “Just…don’t know-“

Lexy Chapel then bursts into the room.

Chapel: “Hell yeah! He went for it! He went for it! You’re at seven wins! Three more and you’re free! Free to step back up!”

Syren turns to Ravyn.

Syren: “Well…guess I’ll have options.”

Chapel: “LOTS of options. Oh…we’re going to get there. Rise to Greatness…I have plans. Big plans. For you, for Fall, for Autumn.”

Ravyn looks at Chapel as she looks at her.

Chapel: “You’re on your own, Satan. I’m not going to hell for this.”

Ravyn shrugs.

Ravyn: “I think that was permission.”

Chapel smiles as she rubs her hands and Breakdown goes to the ring.

“The Ronin” Chris Dumont vs. Waylon Creek

SCW Television Championship

“Wild Thing” by X plays as the crowd cheers a bit. A few moments pass before “The Ronin” Chris Dumont walks out from the back. He looks around the arena, taking it all in before starting to head to the ring. He throws his fist in the air as he does, focusing on the battleground before him.

Phillips: “Fans, the following contest, scheduled for one fall, is for the SCW Television Championship! Introducing first, the challenger, from New Orleans, Louisiana, he is The Ronin, Chris Dumont!”

The crowd cheers a bit as Dumont heads to the ring and hops onto the apron. He wipes his feet and enters before heading over to the corner, raising his fist as he does.

Sharper: “Chris Dumont coming off a hard fought loss with his Dangerous Mind brother, David Striker. But he’s hoping to rebound tonight by winning the Television Championship.”

Knots: “Against another newer face and this could be a banger. Like, seriously. These two both go hard. We’ve seen it, so this could be a heck of a fight. If we can get around Waylon Creek looking like a nut.”

The sound and image of a babbling brook overtake the PA and screen. Shortly after, a man dressed in a suit flickers onto the screen, standing in the middle of the creek, facing away from the camera. “Mountain Banjo” by Rhiannon Giddens comes over the system, and from behind curtain emerges a muscular figure in a skull mask, adorned by torn up flannels, being led by a black lab on a leash. The SCW Television Championship is in Creek’s hand.

Phillips: “And his opponent, from Wailing Creek, Idaho, he is the SCW Television Champion, Waylon Creek!”

The dog leads the way as Waylon Creek follows close behind, looking around the arena. He hands the dog off to a stage hand when he gets to the ring and appears to say something to the dog. The dog sits calmly as Creek enters the ring up the steps. He calmly goes to his corner without any posing. Steve Hollinsworth, the official, walks over and takes the SCW Television Championship from Creek. Creek watches him as he raises it over his head. Hollinsworth hands it off as the SCW Television Championship logo comes across the screen.

Sharper: “Just watching Hollinsworth…”

Knots: “Yeah, that’s not creepy at all.”

Sharper: “Creek with an impressive night at Taking Hold of the Flame. Ending up in the final four.”

Knots: “This could be SCW’s future. Think about that.”

Creek and Dumont look at one another as the crowd roars and the bell sounds. Creek and Dumont walk up to one another and Creek suddenly lunges and goes for a clothesline. Dumont ducks and spins around. Creek turns and Dumont goes for a spinning back fist, but Creek blocks that and kicks him in the ribs. He nails him with a hard right and then another kick. He pushes Dumont into the ropes and fires him off. Dumont bounces off and Creek runs forward and knees him in the stomach on the rebound. Dumont flips over and holds his stomach in pain. He nods as he gets up and turns and Creek walks over and headbutts him. Dumont stumbles back to the corner. Creek kicks him in the ribs once and then again and again and again. The official starts his count.

Creek backs up and walks around the ring. Dumont winces and grabs the top rope. Creek heads back to him and Dumont pulls himself up and then lunges with a forearm shot. Creek staggers. Dumont then kicks him in the ribs and hits a hard right before left and then a spinning back fist that sends Creek to the mat. The crowd roars.

Sharper: “And this could just be starting. Trading off volley of hard shots.”

Knots: “Oh, it’s going to be one of those! We thought it might and kids, grab your popcorn! You’re going to find out how many teeth a man can lose in fifteen minutes or less!”

Creek gets up and moves to the ropes. He uses them to get up. Dumont tells him to get up and Creek turns and lunges at him and tackles him down. The crowd roars. He gets on top of Dumont and nails him with a couple of hard rights before Dumont catches the third. He then tries to grab the arm and roll through and takes Creek’s back. Creek glances back and Dumont clubs him in the side of the head once and then again before Creek pushes off his feet and takes Dumont over with a fireman’s carry type takedown. Both let go and get up. Dumont turns and Creek punches him in the stomach and then elbows him in the back of the head before running him to the ropes. Dumont however spins through and ends up on the apron. Creek turns and Dumont buries his shoulder into the ribs of Creek. Creek turns around and Dumont steps in and spins around him before hitting a bridging German.

Sharper: “German suplex! Creek landed on his shoulder and now moved into the pin!”

Knots: “Tough landing and now the cover!”

Creek kicks out. He rolls over and shakes out his arm before he moves to the corner. Dumont boots him in the face and then kicks him in the chest. Creek reaches up and just grabs Dumont by the throat. The crowd roars.

Dumont kicks him in the knee before then hitting the Code Zero. Creek falls back and into the ropes. Dumont grabs him and whips him into the ropes. Creek bounces off and Dumont hits a roundhouse kick to the chest before hitting a thrust kick and then an open hand palm strike before hitting a spinning back roundhouse. Creek drops to the mat.

Sharper: “Creek to the mat. We’ve not yet seen someone match his explosiveness.”

Knots: “And Creek could be out. Hollinsworth is checking!”

Hollinsworth drops down to check, only for Dumont to roll through for the pin.

Creek kicks out. The crowd roars. Dumont gets up as Creek turns and moves to the ropes. He staggers up and turns and Dumont kicks him in the ribs. He hooks him up for a vertical suplex and hoists him up. Dumont then hits another Code Zero as he drop him down. Creek lands on his hands and knees. Dumont runs into the ropes, bouncing off. He goes for the Curb Stomp, but Creek dodges. Dumont turns around and Creek just hits an open hand smack to the jaw. Dumont is staggered by it and he turns back and Creek runs at him and hits a hard lariat, causing Dumont to turn inside out.

Sharper: “And a vicious lariat. Dumont spun out!”

Knots: “And there’s the rebuttal. Do we have time for a response?!”

Creek turns and grabs Dumont.

Knots: “Oh! Creek’s not done with his speaking time!”

Creek pulls him up and bends him over before pumphandling him up and dropping him down with a stiff pumphandle slam. He folds him up for the pin.

Dumont kicks out. The crowd cheers as Creek rolls over and gets up. Dumont reaches out and starts to pull himself up, but Creek grabs him and pulls him up before cuffing him in the back of the head with a hard forearm shot and then another before then pushing him back. Dumont rolls through to his feet and Creek runs at him and drills him with a vicious knife-edged chop that drops Dumont. Creek turns and moves to the corner. He climbs up to the middle turnbuckle. He looks down at Dumont and then dives off with a second rope knee drop to the throat. He goes for the pin.

Dumont gets his shoulder up. He rolls over and Creek grabs him again, not letting go. The crowd roars as he pulls him up. He spins him out for a neckbreaker, but Dumont pushes off. Creek turns around and Dumont grabs him and hits the Crown of Thorns. The crowd ohs. Creek rolls through and Dumont grabs him and pulls him up. He then hoists him up and hits the Ode to Tully. Creek slams to the mat. Dumont turns and hooks the leg.

Sharper: “Slingshot suplex. Creek down to the mat!”

Knots: “And will this do it?”

Creek kicks out. He turns and rolls over and Dumont looks around and then grabs him and pulls him up to his feet. He boots him in the head with a few kicks as he does before pushing him out, while holding onto his arm. He then pulls him in for a Code Zero, but Creek turns elbowing him right in the upper thigh muscle. Dumont grimaces and Creek then grabs him while he’s bend over and hoists him up for a pumphandle only to drop him throat first on the top rope. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “The impact on the top rope!”

Knots: “Dumont’s head just snapped back. Is it still attached?”

Sharper: “The whiplash.”

Creek crawls over and hooks the leg.

Dumont gets his shoulder up. Creek looks up and rolls over. Creek looks at Dumont and sighs before running at him as he gets up and hitting a lunging sliding clothesline, knocking him back down. Dumont rolls over and Creek grabs him and pulls him up. He then pumphandles him again. He hoists him up, but this time, Dumont rolled through and slides down his back. Creek turns around and Dumont scoops him up and steps forward into a fallaway slam only to floatover into a pin.

Creek gets his shoulder up. Both men get up and Dumont hits the Tiger Knee. Creek falls back into the corner.

Sharper: “My God! Another knee! Another shot.”

Knots: “Creek may not have a jaw left after this one!”

Sharper: “He’s barely on his feet!”

Dumont walks over and grabs him and pulls him out. He then hoists him onto his shoulders. He spins him down into the Thrill of the Hunt. The crowd ohs. Dumont goes for the pin.

Creek shoots his shoulder up. Dumont rolls off and looks over at the official. He then starts to get up and staggers around the ring before going over to Creek. He grabs him and drags him up before Creek then hits a throat thrust before stepping through and hitting a neckbreaker. Dumont rolls over, holding his head and neck before getting up to his feet. Creek staggers up too, holding his jaw briefly before stepping up and locking in the Canary! The crowd ohs and some cheer, some boo. Dumont grabs at the arm, but Creek pushes back and forces him down to the mat.

The bell sounds. Creek lets go and rolls over. He turns and looks out as he takes a moment, before glancing back, only to turn away. The official hands him the SCW Television Championship.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, and still SCW Television Champion, Waylon Creek!”

Sharper: “Creek surviving this back and forth. Dumont fighting not just for himself, but Aisling, whom Creek won the title from.”

Knots: “Surviving or not, he’s still champion. He’s still champion. And he’s got just a lot of eyes on him after the last few weeks. That’s for sure!”

Creek takes the TV Title and looks back at Dumont. He then rubs his jaw before turning and dropping down, rolling to the floor. He calmly walks around the ring and heads over to his dog, Legion, who waits with a crew member. Creek takes Legion and turns, slowly walking to the back, Legion at his right, the TV Championship in his hand, at his side, on the left. Creek makes his exit.

Backstage, Destiny Page is walking backstage, looking around. She turns to a crew member.

Page: “Have you see Leroy Adams?”

The crew member shrugs. Page sighs.

Page: “Did he check in? I’ve not yet seen him. Do we check in security or-“

Just then, we see Veronica Strader tackling down David Striker. Destiny Page backs away as the crowd roars. Strader gets a few shots in before Striker knees her in the side and Strader rolls off. Both get up and Striker nails Strader in the ribs before nailing her again and again and then running her over into a wall. Strader staggers back and turns around and hits a A Like Supreme. Striker goes down and slowly gets up. Strader dives onto him and clubs him over and over.

Sharper: “Veronica Strader and David Striker going at it!”

Knots: “I didn’t realize they hated each other this much! Just looked more like frustration!”

Sharper: “Something had to set this off.”

Knots: “Strader did say she was going to look for trouble!”

Striker then manages to turn and tackle her down. He moves to a side mount and gets a few shots in before rolling off. Strader gets up and Striker hits a hard forearm shot to the jaw. Strader staggers back. Striker runs at her and grabs at her before officials run into the scene. They start to break the two of them up as Breakdown cuts to commercial.

COMMERCIALS

Breakdown returns as we see Gavin Taylor coming into one of the locker rooms and looking around. He then turns and walks into Chris Lawler who is also in the room. Gavin falls back and into some bags.

Gavin: “Whoa…look, I know you probably hold a grudge-“

Lawler: “It was an accident. Look, I don’t have a problem with you.”

Gavin looks at him.

Gavin: “Okay…well…just keeping my eye on you.”

Lawler: “Why are you in here anyway?”

Gavin: “Looking for…someone.”

Lawler: “To jump?”

Gavin: “See, you do hold a grudge! Just because you’re jealous of the All-Star!”

Gavin backs up and turns and heads out of the locker room. Lawler shakes his head as he notices a sealed envelope on the ground next to the bags Gavin fell into. Lawler grabs it and lift it up. He then goes to put it back.

???: “What are you doing?”

The camera pans back to show Waylon Creek having returned from the ring.

Creek: “Those aren’t yours.”

Lawler: “Just-“

Creek lunges and then tackles Lawler back into the wall. He starts to press down, choking him. Legion looks on, barking as Creek looks right at Lawler before pulling back. Lawler slides back.

Lawler: “What is wrong with you? I was just putting it back.”

Creek looks at Lawler, glaring at him. Lawler then gets up and storms off. Creek turns and sits down calmly. He grabs the envelope, looking at it, before then placing it in his gear bag. Legion comes over and sits next to him, placing his paw on the leg of Creek. Creek then starts to calm.

A woman’s voice can be heard as the video screens display the words she's saying in unison.

“Miss Nothing” by The Pretty Reckless hits the PA system as Autumn Valentine walks out onto the stage wearing a black jacket. Across her ring-gear we see the ‘Lexy Chapel Presents’ and ‘Chapel Show’ branding. She pauses on the stage for a moment before being joined by Lexy Chapel who starts pointing at her, and yelling at the fans to cheer for her. Around Lexy’s neck we see a lanyard which appears to be a manager’s license.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a twenty minute time limit. Introducing, hailing from Los Angeles, California, accompanied, and PROUDLY represented, by Lexy Chapel, this is AUTUMN VALENTINE!”

Autumn walks to the ring accompanied by Lexy. She skips up to the apron and jumps up before sliding off her jacket and letting it fall to the floor. She then runs at the turnbuckles, climbing up and throwing up her arms before looking to the camera confidently. She jumps from the outside of the ropes to inside of the ring, rolling back to her feet before walking the middle of the ring and dropping down into the splits. Lexy walks behind her, pointing down at her and still trying to get the fans to support her. Lexy holds a hand down to pull Autumn back to her feet as Autumn walks to the corner, as the music fades out.

Sharper: “Autumn Valentine, not Fall St. Patrick, hoping to get back to her winning ways, but this may be a more personal match that we realize. Marie Jones has a long history with Infamous. Remember, that’s the source of her original break with SCW several years back.”

Knots: “All coming out here. She’s trying to just do the right things. But this could send it all back.”

A spotlight shines down at the top of the entrance ramp. Pyro goes off. Then Marie Annabelle Jones steps through the curtain, wearing her ring gear and her signature black leather jacket. A broad, somewhat condescending grin is on her face as she gaze out at the fans in the arena who cheer loudly. The Tron shows images of her striking at her opponents with her finishing and signature moves as the lyrics of "Haunted" by Taylor Swift begin to flow through the arena.

Phillips: “Her opponent, from Boston, Massachusetts, The Phoenix Marie Jones!”

Marie begins to make her way down towards the ring. As for Marie herself, she stops to slap a few high fives with fans, recognizing them as they cheer her. Then her focus is solely on the ring and the determined stride with which she walks tells that story. Marie hops up onto the ring apron. She strikes a sultry and sexy pose for the audience. Marie turns and leaps over the top rope and into the ring. She then hops up onto the second turnbuckle of the nearby corner and holds her arms up high into the air, getting a reaction from the crowd.

Sharper: “Marie Jones looks focused. She has to just focus on the ring. Not the past. Get the redemption that way.”

Knots: “And this is the time maybe. Autumn Valentine struggling. Chapel focused on Fall St. Patrick…and is Fall actually there with her. And it wasn’t Ravyn or Lexy?”

Sharper: “Don’t get us started on that. Lexy wants that.”

The bell sounds as Autumn and Marie step up and lock up in the middle of the ring. They push back on one another before Marie turns into a side headlock. She pulls back before then turning and moving into an arm wrench. She jerks on the arm as Autumn winces. Lexy yells out at the referee, but Jennifer Cassidy ignores her. Autumn rolls forward and then nips up and then wrenches Marie’s arm. Marie flips to her back. Autumn holds on as Marie slowly gets up. Autumn wrenches the arm. Marie winces. Autumn pulls her in and then pushes her into the ropes and fires Marie into the ropes. Marie bounces off and Autumn hits a hip toss. Autumn goes to grab Marie. Marie kicks her off. Autumn rolls back. Both get up and Marie jumps up and hits a monkey flip. Autumn rolls over and gets up and Marie hits an arm drag and locks in an arm bar.

Sharper: “And the arm drag takes down Marie Jones. Now into the armbar. Maintaining control.”

Knots: “And also slowing this down just a little bit.”

Autumn reaches up, using Marie’s shoulder to help herself up, while Marie holds on. Marie then jerks on her arm. Autumn winces. Marie then wrenches the arm. Autumn grimaces and bends over. She then rolls forward and nips up and cartwheels through until pulling Marie into a side headlock. Marie reaches around as Autumn pulls back. Marie then pulls Autumn into the ropes. She fires her off. Autumn bounces off and Marie hits a huge dropkick. The crowd ohs. Marie goes for the pin.

Autumn kicks out. Both women get up and Marie kicks Autumn in the ribs. She whips Autumn into the ropes again. Autumn bounces off and Marie hits a jumping back elbow. Autumn rolls over and gets up and Marie grabs her and pulls her in before snapmaring her down and hitting a dropkick to the back of the head and going for another pin.

Sharper: “Marie quickening the pace again. Hard dropkick to the back of the head.”

Knots: “Autumn just doesn’t have an answer. Lexy has…and it’s wrong. But who cares!”

Chapel yells that Marie is cheating.

Autumn kicks out. Both get up and Marie forearms Autumn in the jaw once and then again, moving her into the corner. Marie whips Autumn across the ring. Marie runs after and Autumn jumps up and floats over Marie. She backs up. Marie turns at Autumn and Autumn hits a hip toss. Marie rolls over and gets up and Autumn hits a jumping calf kick. Marie hits the mat. Autumn gets up and hits a flipping leg drop to the head. She goes for the pin.

Marie kicks out. Both women, again, get up and Autumn forearms Marie in the jaw once and then again before whipping her into the ropes. Marie bounces off and Marie cartwheels out of the way, but Autumn watches her and jumps up with a enziguri as Marie lands the cartwheel. Marie drops to the mat and rolls to the floor.

Sharper: “Autumn Valentine had no time for that agility. Just watched Marie and made sure to clock her.”

Knots: “Saw it coming and quickly made Marie regret it!”

Marie gets up on the floor, wincing in pain, holding her head. (1) She turns to the ring and Autumn slingshots over the top rope. Marie dodges, but Autumn lands on the apron. (2) Marie spins around and Autumn hits a somersault off the apron onto Marie. The crowd roars. (1) Lexy Chapel cheers on the opposite side of the ring, applauding her client. (2) Autumn gets up as Marie rolls over. Autumn drags her up. (3) She then rolls her into the ring. Marie ends up next to the ropes. Autumn climbs up to the apron and grabs the top rope and hits a slingshot into a senton bomb. The crowd ohs. Autumn turns, hooks the outside leg.

Marie kicks out. She rolls over to the apron and Autumn gets up. She grabs Marie and nails her with a hard right and then another before kicking her in the chest. Marie pops up and ends up on the middle rope. Autumn then runs past, and jumps to the middle rope and hits an asai moonsault onto the back of Marie’s head. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “Oh! Autumn Valentine landing on the back of Marie’s head with that moonsault!”

Knots: “Someone is on a mission! She wants to be Adrenaline Champion. Well, why not go after the last number one contender!”

Sharper: “And apparently try to take them out!”

Autumn drags Marie away from the ropes. She goes for another pin.

Marie gets her shoulder up. She rolls over as Autumn gets up. She grabs Marie and pulls her up before hitting a snap suplex. Autumn exits to the apron and then climbs up to the top rope. She looks at Marie and then dives off with a top rope elbow drop. She turns and hooks the leg.

Marie gets her shoulder up. Marie rolls over as Autumn rolls off. She then turns and grabs Marie and Marie suddenly hits a jawbreaker. Autumn falls back to the ropes.

Sharper: “A jawbreaker from the Phoenix. A much needed reprieve there as Autumn was not stopping.”

Knots: “Nor should she. Keep going until you win or can’t!”

Autumn shakes it off and runs at Marie and Marie hits a spinning heel kick. Autumn rolls over and gets up and Marie jumps to the middle rope and backflips back, grabbing Autumn’s head and hits a reverse DDT. She turns and hooks the leg.

Autumn gets her shoulder up. She rolls over and moves to the ropes. Marie gets up and chops Autumn. Autumn winces. Marie chops her again. The crowd woos. She whips Autumn into the ropes, but Autumn spins through and sends Marie in. Marie bounces off and counters with a flying headscissors. Autumn rolls through. She then turns to Marie and runs at her, but Marie jumps up and hits a hurricanrana, pulling back on Autumn’s legs.

Autumn kicks out. The crowd ohs. Both get up and Autumn runs at Marie, but Marie hits a hot shot. Autumn staggers back.

Sharper: “And Autumn, too aggressive there, throat first into the top rope!”

Knots: “And Marie setting her up!”

Marie then runs over and takes Autumn’s legs down before lifting them up and turning, locking in the Angel’s Arch! The crowd roars as Autumn yells in pain. Lexy yells out no, hoping to will Autumn on. Cassidy checks on Autumn as Marie leans back. The crowd cheers some more.

Sharper: “Shades of her mother! The Angel’s Arch and Autumn in a bad place!”

Knots: “Yeah, Kansas City. And worse of all, she’s in the middle of the ring, with her back about to snap!”

Sharper: “Kansas is a wonderful city!”

Knots: “Not for Autumn!”

Marie keeps the hold on as Autumn keeps struggling. She then starts to reach out, causing some of the angle of the hold to be changed. Marie keeps the hold on as Autumn reaches out and starts to crawl to the ropes. The crowd roars as Marie keeps trying to keep the hold on, but Autumn crawls closer and closer to the ropes. Lexy jumps up and down, willing her on before Autumn reaches out and grabs the bottom rope. Marie holds on.

Marie lets go and walks around the ring. Autumn winces in pain and rolls over. She pulls herself to the apron. Marie walks around the ring and then grabs Autumn through the ropes. She then hits a rope-hung swinging neckbreaker. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “Marie with the neckbreaker. Awkward landing for Valentine.”

Knots: “First her back, now her neck. This is like the first draft of a Khia rap!”

Sharper: “What?”

Knots: “Don’t ask.”

Marie then drags her out and goes for the pin.

Autumn gets her shoulder up. Marie gets up and then hits an elbow drop. She turns and exits to the apron. She climbs up to the top rope. Autumn winces in pain as Marie gets to the top. She looks at Autumn, but Autumn then lunges and lands on the ropes, causing Marie to lose her balance and land on the top turnbuckle. The crowd ohs. Autumn then nails her with a hard right. Marie fires back with one. Autumn hits another, Marie responds. Autumn then hits a pump kick to the head. The crowd ohs. Marie leans back. Autumn then climbs up to the middle rope and then the top rope. She then hooks her up and looks back before hitting a top rope superplex. The crowd ohs. Marie ends up down in the ring as Autumn rolls over, arching her back. She kicks at the mat.

Sharper: “A top rope superplex! Autumn Valentine hits it, but the impact to her back.”

Knots: “Marie’s Angel’s Arch strikes again!”

Autumn crawls to the ropes and winces as she does. Marie rolls over, holding her back and getting up to her knees. Autumn then steps up and hits the spinning roundhouse kick to the head. She then backs up and hits a C sign, reflecting her last name, before hitting a boot to the face. Marie falls back. Autumn rolls through for the pin.

Marie shoots her shoulder up. The crowd roars. Chapel smacks the apron in anger.

Sharper: “And despite the Double Eff You….Marie still gets that shoulder up.”

Knots: “She’s not going to let anyone just leapfrog her! Not with her history with Infamous!”

Marie rolls over as Autumn Valentine slowly gets up. She turns and looks at Marie. Marie grabs at the ropes, using them to get up. She then lunges and goes for a superkick, but Autumn catches her leg and spins her around. She then kicks her in the ribs and goes for the Pink Whisper. Marie however spins out and pulls Autumn in and goes for an inside cradle, but Autumn shifts her weight and pins Marie!

The bell sounds as Autumn lets go and looks up before smacking the canvas, almost showing her own joy. Lexy is taken a bit aback as Marie rolls over and rolls over, clearly showing some frustration.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Autumn Valentine.”

Sharper: “Autumn Valentine managing at the end to shift her weight and get the win.”

Knots: “Autumn is happy about that. Off the snide, but Marie…not happy.”

Sharper: “Tasting that redemption. To hold a win over a member of Infamous. It was right there, but Autumn gets the win here tonight. And Lexy Chapel may have some momentum. Something she’s struggled to get in the last couple of months.”

Autumn gets up and throws her arm up. She plays to the crowd as Lexy then joins her in the ring. As she does, Fall St. Patrick walks down to the ring and Lexy holds the ropes open. Autumn notices this and at first still celebrates her win. Marie looks on from the other side of the ring, shaking her head. Fall St. Patrick enters and Lexy runs over and grabs Autumn’s arm, raising Fall’s too.

“Psycho in My Head” plays throughout the arena as the Breakdown logo comes up on the screen. A still for Scott Reed vs. Deanna Frost for the US Championship follows.

Sharper: “Next! US Title on the line. Can Scott Reed win singles gold or will Deanna Frost’s reign continue? We’ll find out…next!”

Knots: “Kirsten Scott may be watching!

The scene fades to black.

Scott Reed vs. Deanna Frost

SCW United States Championship

The arena goes dark and a voice can be heard saying ”And the story goes…a young man will come…to save the universe from the forces of evil…

The voice dies down for a few moments before “I Will” by Eminem featuring KXNG Crooked, Royce da 5'9" & Joell Ortiz kicks in.

“And I don't think that I can stop it, here it comes…I do my best to try to block it, redrum…I've been sipping on like, vodka, head's numb...I'm blacking out, you better watch it, it's bedlam…”

The lights come back on and Scott Reed steps out from the entrance way, the crowd erupting in cheers.

“I thought I heard a voice in my head that said, "Kill"
I had no other choice that was left except fill
My pencil full of poisonous lead, the devil
He wants me to murder this beat, so I will”

Reed makes his way down the ramp, slapping hands with fans along the way. He reaches the ring and goes up the ring steps. Going across the apron, he looks out at the crowd once again as they continue to cheer. Climbing into the ring, Reed goes to the center.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall with a thirty minute time limit and is for the SCW United States Championship! First, the challenger, hailing from New York City, New York…he is…Scott! Reed!”

“He told me there are doubters who question my skill
They wanna put my style to the test, am I still
The best? They want the crown on my head, I said, "Chill
If you want me to murder this beat, then I will"

Reed climbs up to the top rope and points to the center of his chest, mouthing the words, ‘I will’ as the music dies down. Hopping down from the turnbuckle, he leans into the corner, waiting for the match to begin.

Sharper: “Scott Reed about to have an opportunity to very quickly add to his impressive Taking Hold of the Flame showing. The man went through a war and still got near the end.”

Knots: “Imagine if he didn’t run into The One Kirsten Scott?”

Sharper: “And tonight, he hopes to win the US Championship for the first time in his career. Deanna Frost about to defend the title.”

The chords of "People Like Us" by Kelly Clarkson fill the arena, causing a roar from the audience as bright, fall leaves seem to blow and fly on the LED screens on and around the ramp. From the back curtain, out runs Deanna Frost, taking in the audience before running to the right side, then the left side, shouting to them in excitement. The 'leaves' follow her as she does. Returning to the middle, Deanna gives a spin on one foot, her arms outstretched, the 'leaves' circling her below her feet. The SCW United States Championship is around her waist.

Phillips: “And his opponent, from Manhattan, New York, the SCW United States Champion, she is Deanna Frost!"

Hearing her name, Deanna stops her spin, side facing the ring, and, with one hand over her heart, her free hand arcs around to point forward, the 'leaves' flying down the ramp and 'circling the ring LED barriers. Making her way down to the ring, Deanna high-fives fans along the way until she reaches the ring. Sliding under the ring, the redhead jumps to her feet, making her way to the middle ropes and leaning over them, one arm raised to the crowd. She does the same to the other sides of the ring! On the last time, Deanna hops back into the ring as the lights return to normal. She hands off the title to Aaron Demitra, who raises it over his head. The SCW United States Championship logo comes across the screen.

Sharper: “Deanna Frost has been damn near unstoppable as US Champion. And while some have pointed out that she’s not been defending at major events, you see everything else she’s dealing with. Jessica Winters, the situation with her wife, Selena.”

Knots: “That’s the thing – can she focus. She was focused on The Enigma at Taking Hold of the Flame. Didn’t win the match, but won the battle in the Taking Hold of the Flame battle royal.”

Sharper: “But only one more volley and we just hope Jessica Winters is improving. Just hard to believe everything happening there.”

Demitra hands off the title and backs up. Reed looks at Deanna as Deanna looks back. The bell sounds. The crowd roars.

Sharper: “And here we go. US Championship on the line!”

Deanna and Reed circle the ring before then lunging at one another. Deanna ducks under a grapple attempt by Reed and ends up behind Reed. She moves into a side headlock. Reed reaches around her back, trying to get some leverage, before pulling her back into the ropes. She bounces off and Reed steps up and shoulders her down. Reed runs into the ropes and Deanna rolls towards him. Reed somersaults over her and ends up at his feet. He turns and Deanna runs at him and hits a drop toe hold. Reed hits the mat. Deanna jumps forward into a side headlock. Reed reaches around as Deanna keeps the hold on. Reed slowly starts to pull himself up to his feet, Deanna still holding on. They get up to their feet and Reed pulls her back into the ropes again and fires her off again. Deanna bounces off and Reed steps up, but Deanna slides between his legs.

Sharper: “Deanna sliding through. Both of these two quite agile.”

Knots: “Reed is finding out!”

Reed turns around and Deanna grabs him and hits a snapmare. She knees him in the back and locks in a reverse chinlock. Reed reaches out and starts to slowly turn his body. They both get up and Reed elbows Deanna in the ribs once and then again before he hits a snapmare on Deanna. Deanna rolls through and turns and Reed hits a dropkick. He goes for the pin .

Deanna kicks out. She rolls over and gets up and Reed chops her. The crowd woos. He chops her again. More woos. He then whips her into the corner. Reed runs after and Deanna gets an elbow up. Reed swaggers out and Deanna steps up and hits a dropkick. Reed hits the mat. Deanna goes for the pin.

Reed kicks out. Both get up.

Sharper: “Quick one counts for both.”

Knots: “This could be a pace that makes this a shorter one if it keeps going.”

Deanna forearms Reed in the jaw once and then again. Reed ends up in the ropes. Deanna then grabs him, runs out, and hits a facebuster. Reed rolls over. Deanna gets up and turns to the ropes. She runs into the ropes, bouncing off and hitting a running knee drop. She rolls through and then goes for the pin.

Reed kicks out. He rolls over and gets up and moves to the corner. Deanna gets up and follows him and shoulders him in the ribs before rearing back and shouldering him again and again. She goes to whip him across, but Reed spins through and pulls her into the corner. Deanna hits the corner and staggers out and Reed runs at her and hits a running front dropkick. Deanna falls back hard into the corner.

Sharper; “Reed with some impact. That dropkick knocking Deanna Frost hard into the corner!”

Knots: “That’ll wake you up. That’s for sure.”

Deanna slowly gets up and Reed grabs her and pulls her out and wrenches her arm before running up the corner and jumping off, hitting a tornado DDT. She turns and hooks the leg.

Deanna kicks out. Reed looks up and turns. He grabs Deanna and drags her up. He then scoops her up and Deanna lands behind Reed and quickly grabs him and hits a snap German suplex. Reed rolls through as Deanna remains on the mat for a few moments, slowly rolling over.

Knots: “Almost desperation there.”

Sharper: “Deanna knew she had to hit something big. Reed was feeling comfortable.”

Deanna crawls up to her feet. She winces and Reed slowly gets up and Deanna runs over to him and hits a running dropkick of her own. Reed falls back into the corner. He ends up in a seated position. Deanna gets up and runs into the ropes, bouncing off and then turns to line up at Reed and hits a running knee. The crowd ohs. Reed falls to the mat. Deanna turns and drags him out of the corner. She drops down, hooking the leg.

Reed gets his shoulder up. Deanna rolls off. Reed rolls over and grabs at the ropes. He slowly gets up and Deanna gets up and clubs him in the back once and then again before dragging him out and hitting a reverse DDT. Deanna then turns and exits to the apron. She climbs up to the top rope. She looks at Reed and dives off with an elbow drop to the chest. The crowd ohs. Deanna hooks the leg.

Reed kicks out. He sits up and rolls over to his side. He slowly starts to slowly get up and Deanna gets up and runs into the ropes. She hits a running knee lift.

Sharper: “Hard knee. Reed discombobulated.”

Knots: “Deanna just fighting through what Reed gave her. Now Reed has to do the same!”

Reed falls to the ropes and then turns around and Deanna kicks him in the ribs. She sets up for the Spring Fling, but Reed spins out and pulls her in before grabbing her head and jumping up with a standing shiranui. He pulls back on the legs of Deanna.

Deanna kicks out. The crowd ohs. Both start to get up and Reed places Deanna’s head between his legs. He hoists him up and then turns and hits a turnbuckle powerbomb. The crowd ohs Deanna staggers out. Reed runs into the ropes, bouncing off and runs at Deanna. He grabs his head, but Deanna then runs forward and into the ropes and rolls Reed up with an Okana roll.

Reed kicks out. The crowd ohs. Reed rolls over and gets up and staggers up and turns around into Deanna who hits a spinning heel kick. Reed hits the mat.

Sharper: “And a spinning heel kick drops Reed.”

Knots: “Deanna with another hail mary. Almost worked, but you have to get back up and Reed found out, you can get knocked back down.”

Reed slowly stirs as Deanna Frost rolls over and moves to the corner. She then winces and she gets up and turns and heads over to Reed as he gets up and Frost hooks him up and hits a snap back suplex. Deanna turns and gets up and moves to the corner. She exits to the apron and climbs up to the top rope. She gets there and turns and Reed fights up to his feet and runs over and nails Deanna in the ribs. He nails her again and again. Deanna drops down to a seated position on the top rope. Reed climbs up to the middle turnbuckle. He grabs Deanna and hooks her up by the head and neck. Reed then takes a moment before hoisting Deanna up and then dropping her with a brainbuster on the top rope. Deanna falls into the ring and rolls away, holding her head and neck. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “Oh my God! Brainbuster on the top turnbuckle!”

Knots: “Jesus!”

Reed dives onto Deanna for the pin, hooking the leg.

Deanna shoots her shoulder up just in time. The crowd ohs. Reed rolls off in disbelief. He looks around and then starts to slowly get up. Deanna slowly rolls over and Reed gets up and runs at Deanna and then hits a running shooting star press. Reed rolls her to her back and hooks the leg.

Deanna shoots her shoulder up. Reed rolls off and then starts to get up again. He then turns and heads over to Deanna, pulling her up, only for suddenly, Deanna pushes him back and hits a Burnout. Reed drops to the mat as Deanna falls to the mat next to him. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “The Burnout! And Reed just caught that, right in the jaw.”

Knots: “The only thing Deanna could do to save herself and her reign!”

Sharper: “And they’re both down. Demitra using his ten count. Can either get up after this back and forth?”

Deanna and Reed crawl to the ropes. (5) Deanna starts to get up and manages to get up first. (6) She turns, but the lights then go out. The crowd roars.

Sharper: “Oh no…no…”

Knots: “I can feel it…that dread. Enigma’s here!”

The lights remain off only for a moment longer before we cut to the ring to see The Enigma in the middle of the ring. He grabs Deanna and quickly locks her in the Enigma’s Embrace. Deanna struggles as the bell sounds. Demitra tries to get Enigma off but Enigma glares at him. Deanna yells out no as Demitra backs up. The Enigma then leans in, keeping the hold on. Cameras manage to pick up some of his voice.

Enigma: “What will you do when you are no longer who you are? No longer a Frost. Can you even control anything now? Or does Selena control it all…”

Deanna struggles a bit as Enigma keeps the hold in a moment longer. Reed gets up as the bell sounds again and runs at Enigma. Enigma throws Deanna down towards Reed. Reed drops down to a knee, checking on Deanna. The Enigma turns as we see Dakon Theron and Ludvig Eriksson running down from the back. The Enigma looks at them before extending his arms as the lights go out again. The crowd roars as the lights remain out for a few moments. When they return, Reed is helping Deanna up and also checking on Demitra as Theron and Eriksson stand at ringside looking around.

Knots: “And just like that, he’s gone!”

Sharper: “What…what was that message about?”

Knots: “Your guess is as good as mine!”

The scene slowly fades out.

COMMERCIALS

BELIEVE IT... OR NOT!

"Thank You for Hating Me!" by Citizen Soldier plays throughout the arena, the SCW Universe deafening the song with their boos. The lights shift to dark purple and blue, filling the arena as snow is seen “falling” along the electronic floor and screens as, out from the back, walks the Snow Queen, Selena Frost, taking in the crowd of the SCW Universe with a smirk. The SCW World Championship sits over her shoulder.

Sharper: “And Selena Frost still World Champion.”

Knots: “She’s ducking and dodging a bit more tonight. A lot of people want her.”

Sharper: “Involved in the Taking Hold of the Flame, causing the elimination of three thorns in her side. She’ll have to deal with that next week on this program. But she also has Josh Hudson awaiting her at Rise to Greatness.”

Selena, instead of running to the ring, slowly starts to walk down to the ring, the title over her shoulder. She looks around at the crowd who boos her, ignoring the negativity. She continues to walk to the ring and gets to ringside. She looks around before going over to the steel steps. She walks up them and into the ring.

Sharper: “Selena Frost taking her usual spot to close our show tonight. But you wonder if she’ll have something to say about what we just heard.”

Knots: “It’s Selena. She may not care. She may just not say anything. Who knows? She’s been so focused on the World Title.”

Selena Frost walks forward and looks around as the boos continue. Selena scoffs a bit before turning and heading over to the corner. She demands a microphone from ring announcer Jason Phillips. Phillips obliges and Selena takes the microphone. She turns back to the middle of the ring and looks around. The music fades out as the boos grow. Selena Frost listens to them, scanning around the arena.

Selena: “Another challenger…another victory.”

The crowd boos as Selena looks around.

Selena: “For all of the talk about Xander Valentine was not the same person…I still beat him when it counted.”

Sharper: “I don’t know about that. A lot of people, as we’ve heard tonight, have said the old Xander would not have attacked Kandis. Would have taken the win.”

Knots: “You wonder if he regrets that. I know what he said, but…”

Selena looks around.

Selena: “Lucas Knight nearly screwed up, but finally, we’re starting to get some things moving into the right direction. I am your champion. I am the World Champion. And I am why we’re here.”

The crowd boos.

Selena: “And while some people may be upset with my intervention in certain moments, the fact is that they had no business standing with me on the biggest stage of wrestling, right, Kandis?”

Selena looks at the camera.

Selena: “The one hit wonder…and now things are as they should be. I have pushed away and countered the damage done while I was away, reminding SCW and all of you what you had. And I return to Rise to Greatness to defend the World Championship at that event for the fourth consecutive year!”

Selena looks out at the crowd. The crowd boos.

Selena: “Four years in a row. And this year, last year’s stench will finally go away. But!”

Selena pauses as she looks around.

Selena: “As SCW has people who have no care for this title, who just see it as something to accomplish, instead of being the standard that it is, I think it’s more than damning that SCW needed to rely on help from outside. No one on this roster…Kandis, Xander, Polly, Kirsten, Syren…they couldn’t rise to the occasion. They could not prove me wrong. They could not just do things as they should and compete and win….and instead…”

Selena scoffs.

Selena: “SCW needed a legend…a hall of famer…just to have someone who could stand with me on this stage. And it’s Josh Hudson!”

The crowd roars as Selena looks around.

Selena: “Oh yeah, give it up for him. Josh Hudson!”

The crowd cheers some more.

Selena: “Someone who hasn’t wrestled a full schedule in quite some time. Who packed it in when Owen Cruze, someone I could have at least appreciated coming back, beat him. But it’s not even that. It’s almost cute…Bree Lancaster has had a problem with me. And she wasn’t in the Taking Hold of the Flame, but apparently, her latest partner is. So is Josh coming to fight Bree’s fight? She couldn’t beat me a few weeks ago. So are you going to step up? Is that the angle you’re going to take? That’s what motivating you?”

Selena looks around.

Selena: “I have a simple motivation. That the World Championship is the symbol of excellence in this sport. It’s determining by matches won or lost in the ring. By two competitors who compete, don’t jump each other, don’t bend the rules, and with the greatest official in the sport calling it down the middle as it should. No controversy. Everything is a symbol of excellence. And yet…SCW struggles to give that. Hence…I’ve had to take matters into my own hands. Remove unworthy challengers…placing terms in my contracts…Josh…how do you fit in?”

Selena shakes her head.

Selena: “Because I’m not Owen Cruze…I’m not okay resting on my laurels. I’m not Sienna Swann who is borderline delusional and showed herself to be as backstabbing as the worst of them. I’m not our old boss who was too weak to deal with you. As for our new boss…I don’t know if he can. But you’re facing me Josh…and you seemed to only be motivated by hate last time we saw you. So do you hate me, Josh? Is that what this is going to be about?”

The crowd boos as Selena continues to talk to Josh, looking right at the camera.

Selena: “So Josh-“

Just then, “Duality” by Slipknot starts to play. The crowd erupts in cheers. A few moments pass before Josh Hudson saunters out from the back, wearing a hoodie. He has a microphone in his hand. Behind him is Bree Lancaster who walks out with him, brandishing the SCW Adrenaline Championship. Josh turns to her. Bree says something to him. Hudson takes a couple of steps forward as Bree remains a couple of steps back.

Selena: “Bringing in the backup, if this goes south. I know you’ve not been around, Josh, but if you touch me, you get to explain to millions of fans why you ruined Rise to Greatness!”

Hudson: “Oh don’t worry, Selena. Bree’s just here because she likes watching you squirm and who am I to not give her the chance to see it up close and person!”

The crowd roars.

Hudson: “Now that you’ve reminded us how big your ego is, Selena, you had a few questions for me…and I’m going to take a moment to say this and enjoy it…the 2024 Taking Hold of the Flame winner, Josh Hudson!”

The crowd roars as Hudson looks at the crowd. They cheer.

Hudson: “Don’t worry, Selena. The spotlight will be back on your soon enough because whether I like or not, Bree, these fans, the people in the back, whoever likes it or not, you are the World Champion.”

The crowd boos.

Hudson: “And I plan to end that at Rise to Greatness XXI. You can call me an outsider but I’ve been marching up and down the so-called halls of SCW for over twenty years. THIS is a company I helped build. And Selena, I know the path you’re on more than anyone else. Because I’ve fought it too!”

The crowd roars.

Hudson: “The get it done in the ring, wrestling machine. That was me before it was cool. The anti-hardcore, why do people need weapons…yeah, I did that too. Do we need gimmicks? Why use weapons? Why attack people from behind…unless they deserve it…I’ve done it too. See, Selena, I’ve done everything you have. The only difference is that I didn’t need to go the contract route…except when I was young, dumb son of a bitch that had a different name and I rapped to the God damn right. The early-2000s were a trip! And get what?”

Hudson looks at Selena.

Hudson: “I got my ass kicked. But then I did the impossible. You beat Xander? I ended his undefeated streak! You were synonymous with integrity. So was I. And yeah, I’ve also thrown it all away because of ego. Happens when you’ve been in this sport long enough.”

Selena: “Get to your point, Josh. This also isn’t the early 2000s when people talked until they were forced to shut up!”

Hudson smirks.

Hudson: “Nice…you want me to get to the point. I’ve fought every fight you have. And I’ve learned…everyone has their own way. And you either evolve or you fall behind. And Selena, you may have been evolving, but you’re devolving…and I have twenty years of evolving to every challenge this sport has had. From CHBK to the Mercenaries to Jason Zero to Jake Starr to Xander Valentine to Shilo Valiant to Shawn Winters to Cid Turner to Regan Street to Kelcey Wallace to Ace Marshall to Sienna Swann to Infamous and now to you…I have outlasted it all.”

Selena: “Owen Cruze?”

Hudson stops and smirks as the crowd ohs.

Hudson: “I beat him at Rise to Greatness. You know, like Kandis did. That win you want us all to forget. And Selena, what happens when you lose that title? You know that answer. Next week you’re going to face some of the consequences. The barbarians are at the gates, Selena. Your causing. And when you’re no longer World Champion, you’ll have nothing more to protect you. And trust me, from someone who has been there…you need that reality check.”

The crowd roars. Bree smirks, rubbing her hands enjoying this.

Hudson: “At Rise to Greatness, I’m going to give you a wrestling lesson, Selena. And BELIEVE me when I say…it’s a long time coming!”

Selena: “We’ll see Josh. We’ll see…But until then, I close the show. Hit my music.”

Selena brings the microphone down to her side as Josh Hudson looks at her. Bree walks over to Josh as “Thank You for Hating Me!” by Citizen Soldier plays. The crowd boos as Selena Frost looks at Josh Hudson. Hudson then turns and calmly heads to the back, placing his arm around Bree.

Sharper: “Selena Frost is right…still the World Champion and until Rise to Greatness, that will be the case.”

Knots: “But Josh Hudson is also right. He’s fought every battle. He’s had a lot of success.”

Sharper: “One of the few to still be competing at a high level after twenty years. Can he finally get the one thing that has eluded him – the victory and the World Championship to close out Rise to Greatness? We’ll find it. The Road to Rise to Greatness is here!”

Josh Hudson and Bree Lancaster head to the back as Selena Frost watches them leave in the ring and the scene slowly fades out…
