“Supreme Championship Wrestling...”
A shot of Kelcey Wallace nailing Bree Lancaster with the Perfect Ending, followed by a shot of Steve Griffin hitting the Decimator off the top rope on CHBK at the first Rise to Greatness, before turning a shot of Jake Starr pumping up the crowd on his way to the ring, before turning into a shot of Ravyn Taylor sitting in the corner, waiting for the start of a match. We then see a shot of Katie Steward holding the Women’s Championship before cutting to a shot of Selena Frost hitting Vixen Cain with the Defying Gravity at Supreme Saturday: Just Desserts.
“The leading force in sports and entertainment today....”
MAIN SHOW:
“Psycho in my Head” by Skillet plays as we see a shot of Selena Frost standing on the stage, about to the run to the ring. We then see shots of Bree Lancaster hitting someone with the Rectifier and Simon Lyman posing with his arms out.
Maybe I'm just paranoid
Or maybe I'm just livin' a lie
Can't stop this screamin' voice
Or maybe I'm just sick inside
Shots of Kandis hitting Gratuitous on an opponent, before showing the Fall of Man standing tall. Katie Steward is next shown posing, before we see David Striker diving over the top rope and Josh Hudson standing on the stage, smiling. Shots of Chance Owens, Simon Lyman and the European Fiery Nation follow, superimposed over the Breakdown logo.
This is the face
I hate the other side of me
Out of this cage
He breaks to take the life from me
Tell me, tell me, tell me
I'm not crazy
Syren is shown hitting Xander Valentine with the Total Makeover before showing the Shinigami Foundation standing in the ring talking to the crowd. Glory Braddock is next shown hitting the London Plunge before we see The One Kirsten Scott proudly holding the SCW Television Championship. WASLEY is next shown as Kimberly Williams is seen smirking. The Breakdown logo flashes on the screen.
There's a psycho in my head
I'm closer to the edge
Makin' me feel like I'm livin' in misery, misery
Insane
These voices in my brain
Starting to feel like it's gonna be the death of me, death of me
Gavin Taylor hitting the Gavin Taylor Lariat on an opponent is next, before we see Magical Cosmic Princess YUYO making her entrance. Konrad Raab punching Ace Marshall in a steel cage is shown next, before we see Light in the Darkness hitting Wisteria Waltz against an opponent. Lexy Chapel is then shown showing off Syren. Amy Chastaine posing follows before we see James Evans powerbombing La Pequena Luz off the top rope.
There's a psycho in my, there's a psycho in my head
Shots of Deanna Frost, Ryan LeCavalier, Waylon Creek, Xander Valentine, and Syren are shown before the Breakdown logo comes up on the screen.
We then cut to a live shot of the inside of the Blue Cross Arena in Rochester, New York. The crowd cheers as pyro shoots out from the base of the stage. The display continues for a few moments before spotlights circle the arena, and the cameras pan across the crowd for a few moments.
Sharper: “We roll into the home of Xander Valentine on the Road to Rise to Greatness. We are live in Rochester!”
The cameras continue to pan the crowd before we cut to ringside and the announce position where Adam Sharper and Jonathan Knots sit.
Sharper: “Welcome to ringside. Adam Sharper here with Jonathan Knots and tonight, Xander Valentine will be in action. He faces Simon Lyman.”
Knots: “And after Selena Frost announced she’s cashing in her rematch for Rise to Greatness, Simon Lyman may be in the wrong place, wrong time!”
Sharper: “Not only that, Syren and Clyde Sutter will meet in Underground Rules.”
Knots: “That may be one where fate is going to play a big role!”
BELIEVE
IT... OR NOT!
“Thank You for Hating Me!” by Citizen Soldier plays throughout the arena,
the SCW Universe deafening the song with their boos. The lights shift to dark
purple and blue, filling the arena as snow is seen “falling” along the
electronic floor and screens as, out from the back, walks the Snow Queen,
Selena Frost, taking in the crowd of the SCW Universe with a smirk.
Sharper: “And as we ended last week with her making her announcement, she starts us off here on Breakdown. Selena Frost, the Snow Queen!”
Knots:
“Cashing in the rematch she was promised after losing Rise to Greatness last
year. She waited until she had to use it and made sure she’d be main eventing
Rise to Greatness for what? Five years in a row?”
Slowly, Selena walks down to the ring, enjoying the negative reaction from the
Rochester fans. She reaches the ringside area and walks up the steel steps. She
then walks along the apron and into the ring. She takes a few steps and walks
around the ring. She extends her arms, almost relishing in the moment and the
negativity, before turning and going to the corner. She grabs a microphone
waiting for her and turns back to the middle of the ring. She then looks around
as the music fades out as the crowd boos loudly. Selena just smirks.
Selena: “Did you think anything else was going to happen?”
The crowd boos louder. Selena looks around. She continues to talk.
Selena: “I always had ONE plan in mind.”
The boos nearly drown Selena out. Selena continues to just talk.
Selena: “And that was I was going to main event Rise to Greatness XXII no matter what. This time as a challenger.”
Selena paces a bit, ignoring the boos.
Selena: “Plus, I wanted to see if I could win Taking Hold of the Flame. Got to the final three…I get another kick at the can, on a bigger stage. But sometimes we just don’t get what we want. Right Xander?”
Selena looks at the camera.
Selena: “Your hometown hero. Before he has to deal with Simon Lyman tonight, I hope he’s watching this and closely. Because I was secretly hoping it would be you I’d face at Rise to Greatness to end this whole farce you’ve been engaged in all year, when you know last year’s Taking Hold of the Flame still lives rent free in your head. But sometimes we just don’t get what we want…”
Selena chuckles.
Selena: “Cid Turner returns and shocks the world – and you two throw each other over the top rope. Land at the same time. Just like last year – need to bring in a ringer to mount a challenge. Another hall of famers and hope they see I through. And CHBK, the same man who gave me my contract, also orchestrated a historic moment – two winners of the Taking Hold of the Flame because we can’t trust Giovanni Aries. Well, he should have known. The World Champion was already waiting in the wings to take back what was hers!”
Selena looks around.
Selena: “While the Fall of Man want to talk about inevitability, we’ve gone through the revival of the Executioner and the Wild, Wild West. And I’m done watching the experiment. I’ve been saying for weeks this is my world and you’re all competing in it. Taking Hold of the Flame, win or lose, I was going to Rise to Greatness! BELIEVE IT!”
Selena pauses as she looks at the camera.
Selena: “But at Rise to Greatness…it’s almost meant to be. Three pretenders to my throne from the past resurfacing. I’ve dropped Xander Valentine at Rise to Greatness again. I ended Cid Turner’s Cinderella run back at the top. And Giovanni, before you got lucky and found Heaven, I had thwarted you at every turn. Everyone better get ready to believe it again – Rise to Greatness XXII – the SCW World Championship is coming home!”
The crowd boos loudly. Selena Frost then looks right at the camera.
Selena: “BELIEVE IT…”
Selena brings the microphone down.
???: “Really, Selena…REALLY? You think you have this all figured out!”
Selena turns as we see Giovanni Aries now on the big screen, appearing in the Fall of Man locker room. William Heaven is trying to stop Aries.
Heaven: “Giovanni, are you-“
Aries: “Oh I’m sure, William. Because Selena Frost is just like Xander, Cid, and so many…she doesn’t understand.”
Selena looks at the screen as Aries turns back to the camera.
Aries: “You keep talking about the World Title…I don’t see it anywhere. Is it around my waist?”
Aries looks down at his waist, twisting around.
Aries: “Or over my shoulder?”
Aries shrugs.
Aries: “Or maybe I’ve tossed it into Lake Ontario when I was out earlier this week. Maybe I already set it on fire. Maybe it’s still somewhere in New Orleans where one of your former fans from ten years ago, woke up and saw you for the materialist fraud you are, got drunk in the French District and thought she was wearing beads even though its in June!”
Aries looks at the camera.
Aries: “You may have used your rematch and you may be in the main event of Rise to Greatness, but I will only be there in spite of you, Cid, Xander, and SCW!”
Aries looks at the camera and cackles.
Aries: “This may be your world, but you are just another pawn of the Lizard Kingdom and I WILL bring it to its knees. You’ve cashed in your rematch for something that no longer exists as you knew it. And I’ve already won!”
Aries cackles again as the feed cuts out. Selena rolls her eyes.
Sharper: “Aries again…this focus on the title. He didn’t wear it last week.”
Knots: “So where is it?!”
Sharper: “I don’t know, but Selena Frost isn’t impressed. But what are Cid and Xander thinking?!”
The scene fades out.
COMMERCIALS
LAST WEEK:
We open up with the end of the Connection/EFN match from last week’s Breakdown. Josh Hudson says something to Alex Hudson, who are interfering, brining him in almost in a headlock, and sternly saying something to him before sending him into the ring. Alex rolls into the ring as Josh Hudson takes his time walking over. Alex then runs over and nails Tommy Valentine in the back of the leg with the steel chair. Tommy falls back, yelling in pain. The crowd ohs. Tommy grabs at his leg and rolls over. We then see Isaac STone walk over and grab his chair. Josh climbs into the ring. He then yells at them.
Sharper: “Welcome back to Breakdown. Last week, when The Connection was facing the European Fiery Nation, the Product struck again and Josh Hudson led an attack that led to Kandis and Tommy Valentine, both possibly injured.”
Knots: “Yeah and they came in with a point. They were going to put down the Connection!”
Kandis slowly gets up, holding her back. She then looks up and turns as Isaac and Alex look at one another, chairs in their hand. Josh turns back to them.
Josh: “[Bleep]ing do it! Grow a set!”
Isaac and Alex then look at one another before then both swinging and hitting a conchairto on Kandis. Kandis just drops. The crowd ohs.
Sharper: “There’s the conchairto on Kandis. She has been undergoing concussion testing. And then they went after Tommy and went after his knee.”
Knots: “And it’s believed that may be tweaked too!”
Josh then goes over to Tommy and drags him over to the ringpost. Officials start to run down to the ring. Josh however pulls Tommy over and then looks at him.
Josh: “Get the hint! You’re in their way!”
Tommy reaches out to grab at Josh, but Josh then folds his legs over and locks in a figure four leg lock around the ringpost. The crowd boos as Tommy yells in pain. Josh keeps the hold on, smiling as he does. Alex and Isaac look a bit more shocked, watching their mentor go at Tommy like this. Officials reach the ring as we see Dakon Theron being helped up by his brother Oskar. They start to get up to go to Josh. Josh holds on for a moment longer before Alex and Isaac snap out of their moment and exit the ring, dropping down to the floor. They stop the Theron’s more starting to obstruct before trading a few blows. Officials come over and try to get between them as a couple check on Kandis and others go to Josh. Josh lets go and rolls back. Tommy grabs at his leg. Kandis remains down as officials check on her. Tommy rolls over as officials now check on him. Josh then smiles as he gets up, the crowd booing him. The Breakdown logo comes up on the screen.
Sharper: “And next week, the Connection, we hope, will be with us in Cleveland, Ohio. It will depend on if they are cleared to compete.”
Knots: “Maybe they should listen to Josh…maybe stay out of the way!”
Kemal Yilmaz vs. David Striker
“I Hope You Suffer” by AFI plays and the crowd roars. A few moments pass before David Striker walks out from the back and scans the arena. He then nods a bit as he turns to the ring. Irvine and Kyle Gibson walk out from the back with him. Striker focuses on the ring though and heads to the ring.
Phillips: “The opening contest tonight on Breakdown is scheduled for onefall with a fifteen minute time limit. First, on his way to the ring, accompanied by the Phantom Troupe, from Cameron, North Carolina, he is Bam Bam David Striker!”
The crowd roars as Striker heads to the ring and slides into the ring. He gets up to a knee and looks around before getting up to his feet. He then turns and runs into the ropes, before sticking his upper body under and out from the top rope, getting a louder reaction. Irvine and Gibson move to his corner.
Sharper: “Striker in action tonight, the Dangerous Minds making it clear tonight they’re going to push back on William Heaven and the Fall of Man.”
Knots: “Whoa, whoa, whoa….we’re not going to lead with that. That’s secondary. This piece of work, this coward, he threatened me! He sent out a message that ‘I’m done.’ No! I’m not going to sit still. I thought this kid was something against Kim, but it’s clear he’s a small man who can’t handle it. I just call it like I see it!”
Sharper: “You’re asking him to come over here.”
Knots: “Let him. The fact is if he has a problem with the fact that I think the Fall of Man are the future and it’s not him, tough. Him and Dumont – two bullies who got checked by running into a brick wall. Grow up!”
Wasteland
by Pentagram, aka Mezarkabul, plays over the sound system as Kemal, wearing the
black and red venom mask comes through the curtain, holding up his Turkey flag,
wearing Turkey flame flag shorts with The European Fiery Nation logo attached
to his shorts, wearing MMA gloves and wrestling boots with Ginny Raab behind
him. He gets many boos as he walks to the ring, ignoring the fans.
Phillips: “His opponent, from Istanbul, Turkey, accompanied by Ginny Raab, he
is Kemal Yilmaz!”
He jumps up to the ring and gets underneath the ropes before holding them open
for Ginny to get in, and he raises his fist in the air, looking at the crowd
with Ginny applauding Kemal before he puts himself in a corner. He holds the
ropes open again for Ginny to leave the ring before turning to the opposite end
of the corner of looking at his opponent, waiting for the match to begin.
Striker looks at him as the bell sounds.
Sharper: “Kemal Yilmaz hoping to turn the corner himself. The man has had some big matches so far in his young career.”
Knots: “He’ll gain in my book if he wins tonight. That’s for sure. Just look out – Striker may go for his lunch money!”
Yilmaz and Striker step up to one another and lock up in the middle of the ring. Striker drops down and around into an arm wrench. Kemal winces and Striker wrenches the arm again. He then pushes down on the back of Yilmaz’s right knee and then turns into a hammerlock. He pushes him down to the mat before spinning around into a front face lock. He then knees Yilmaz in the face before Yilmaz pulls away. He rolls over and Striker runs over and grabs him and knees him in the ribs. He then snapmares Yilmaz over before grabbing the arm and locking in an arm lock. He holds on as Yilmaz starts to get up. He then ducks under and spins through and into a fireman’s carry takedown. He turns and moves into a side headlock. He nails Striker with a couple of hard rights before Striker pulls him over into a pin.
1!
Yilmaz lets go and rolls away. Striker gets up and Yilmaz grabs the arm and wrenches it, before Striker rolls forward and then bridges up before then pulling up the hair of Yilmaz, getting up to his feet and forearming him in the jaw.
Sharper: “And Striker with a unique way out-“
Knots: “He had the hair!”
Sharper: “Striker scrapping early here.”
Striker forearms Yilmaz again and again before then whipping him across the ring. Yilmaz bounces off and Striker goes for a clothesline. Yilmaz slides down under the arm, sliding to a stop. He gets up and Striker turns and Yilmaz just tackles him down with a double leg takedown before then nailing him with a couple of overhead rights to the face. Striker blocks a couple and grabs at the arm. He starts to move, trying to bring his legs up to lock in a hold, but Yilmaz pulls away. Striker rolls back and gets up and Yilmaz hits a kick to the ribs. He then hooks him up and snap suplexes him over. Striker rolls over and starts to get up, moving to the corner. Yilmaz steps up and shoulders Striker in the ribs once and then again and again and again. Striker grimaces as Yilmaz then lifts him up and runs forward with a running spinebuster. He rolls through for the pin.
1!
2!
Striker pushes him off.
Sharper: “Nearfall! Two count for Yilmaz after that violent running spinebuster.”
Knots: “Maybe if he focused on who’s in the ring instead of threatening non-wrestlers, he’d be ahead!”
Striker rolls over and gets up as Yilmaz grabs him and elbows him in the back of the head once and then again before then hitting a snap back suplex. Striker rolls through and holds his head. He starts to get up and Yilmaz runs at him and goes for a European uppercut, but Striker spins out of the way and they two spin around before Striker hits a discus shotei. The crowd ohs as Yilmaz staggers back to the corner. Striker then steps up and hits another shotei. This floors Yilmaz, dropping him to a seated position as Striker walks around the ring before then getting a burst of speed and hitting a double knee smash to Yilmaz in the corner. Striker steps back and walks around the ring. Yilmaz rolls out of the corner and starts to get up and Striker grabs him and hits a northern lights suplex into a bridge.
Sharper: “Beautiful suplex after the high impact in the corner. The cover!”
1!
2!
Yilmaz kicks out. Striker rolls over.
Sharper: “And a nearfall as Striker fighting back.”
Knots: “I never said he didn’t have talent. Just the man is fighting the wrong wars. Sometimes you need to know your place!”
Striker turns and grabs Yilmaz and then hits a couple of quick forearm smashes before following with a stiffer shot. He then grabs his arm and wrenches it before pulling him in for the Shadowblade. He rolls Yilmaz over and then turns and exits to the apron. He then climbs up to the top rope and looks at Yilmaz. He points to the heavens before diving off with a flying elbow drop to the chest. He hooks the leg.
1!
2!
Yilmaz gets his shoulder up. The crowd ohs as Striker rolls off. He then starts to get up and grabs Yilmaz and kicks him in the ribs. He then runs into the ropes, bouncing off and goes for a running boot, but Yilmaz steps back, dodging the kick. He then steps up and grabs Striker and hits a release German suplex. Striker rolls over and to his feet. He then gets up and grits his teeth before running at Yilmaz and jumping up and tackling him up and over the top rope to the floor. The two land on the mats hard right in front of the announce table.(1)
Sharper: “And Striker digging deep. Trying to fight through the pain-“
Knots: “And what did that get him? He’s now on the floor. You can get the countout, but is that what you want?”
Sharper: “Right in front of us here.”
Striker slowly rolls over and starts to get up.(2) He then looks at the announce table and looks at Knots and smirks.
Knots: “Hey! You got a match!”
Knots starts to slide his chair back.(3)
Striker: “Always happy to-“
Yilmaz then gets up and grabs Striker and hits a dragon suplex on the floor. The crowd ohs. (4)
Knots: “Hell yeah. That’s focus. If you had that, maybe you’d be something now!”
Sharper: “Striker suplexed back. Dragon suplex by Kemal Yilmaz!”
Yilmaz turns and grabs Striker. (6) He drags him up and rolls him into the ring. Yilmaz slides in after. Striker starts to stir and Yilmaz hooks him up with a double underhook before hoisting him up with the Istanbul Acid Driver. The crowd ohs. Yilmaz hooks the leg.
1!
2!
Striker shoots his shoulder up. The crowd roars as Yilmaz looks around, stunned. Yilmaz turns and grabs Striker. Yilmaz then goes for the arm, but Striker blocks it and spins through, taking Yilmaz down with a variation arm drag. Yilmaz gets up and Striker pops up and Yilmaz rushes him, going for a clothesline, but Striker ducks and then jumps to the middle rope and dives back with the Black Meteor. Yilmaz rolls back and starts to get up as Striker pulls himself up and runs at him Yilmaz however scoops him up, but Striker spins through and counters with the Touch of Grey Star Platinum. The crowd ohs and Striker goes for the pin.
Sharper: “Striker counters! Star Platinum!”
Knots: “Pulled that out of the hat! And Yilmaz is down!”
1!
2!
3!
The crowd roars as the bell sounds. Striker looks up and then gets up. Gibson and Irvine entering the ring.
Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, David Striker!”
Sharper: “And David Striker victorious here in Rochester. And big win against the young star, Kemal Yilmaz!”
Knots: “The man stepped up. He got it done and he did the one thing more important than anything – won. And look what happens when he focused!”
Striker looks out at the crowd, raising his arm. He then turns and heads to the ropes. Irvine and Gibson stop him though as he starts to yell at Knots.
Knots: “You won! Focus there!”
Striker snaps at Knots a few more times before backing up. He looks around as the scene cuts away.
COMMERCIALS
Breakdown returns and we see Cid Turner standing backstage with Jaina Lancaster. The crowd cheers as they see the SCW Legend.
Jaina: “Welcome back to Breakdown. Jaina Lancaster here with the SCW Hall of Famer, Cid Turner. And you watched it last week from a monitor backstage. You came back. You won Taking Hold of the Flame…well co-won it. You now have to deal with a former rival in Selena Frost.”
Cid: “Why would I be survived? Almost like it had to be. But whatever, I’ve focus Selena Frost. I’ve beaten her. She’s beaten me. Then again, Xander’s in there. Giovanni’s in there. I know them both. A lot of people knowing each other. Kinda like Thanksgiving. But everyone doesn’t need to be drunk to start fighting. And it’s for the richest prize in the game. Giovanni Aries can threaten it and say it’s not going to be there. But…to put it all to materialism, that’s not it. It’s a symbol of our greatness. It’s something tangible. Almost just like his Wonderland. Or just like that book of his. Then again, I don’t know if all of the pages were filled.”
Cid sighs.
Cid: “This isn’t Gleebnorb and something to screw people over or to manipulate them. I spend years away. I have spinal stenosis. I have little time left. And even still, I was wrestling on the indies, making two hundred bucks, hiding my identity, because I couldn’t give up the itch. I know this is deeper than you’re used to with me, but this is my life. Simple as that. Taking Hold of the Flame was my attempt to see if I could still do it at the high level and I of course end up here…one more time, Rise to Greatness main event.”
Cid stops.
Cid: “Funny enough – Selena being there. It’s just going to make it that much more of an accomplishment. Plus, it’s fun to shut her up. I may be killed by Xander’s bear hands. He’s due for a murder anytime now. But Gio…this is not about the gold. It’s about the pride.”
Jaina: “Thank you for your time, Cid.”
Cid nods.
Cid: “Still feels weird to be back.”
Cid walks off as Jaina turns to the camera.
Cid: “Back to ringside.”
Polly Pingotti in action
A coin
can be heard dropping into a coin slot. A few seconds pass, which is when an
open field is shown up on the SCW tron. A flock of birds rise up from the tall
grass and fly away as the sound of a piano can be heard playing, leading into
the opening of "Bird Set Free" by Sia. The moment the opening words
are heard, Polly steps out from the back wearing a black skirt and matching
black halter top, wheeling out a small red wagon with her right hand. She stops
and stands at the forefront of the stage. She looks up at the tron to see one
straggling bird rise up from the grass all by its lonesome. Polly admires the
one small bird that begins to fly away now too until Sia reaches the chorus,
which is when she turns around as a pair of pyros goes off on each side of the
entranceway. The nearest camera catches her piercing bright green eyes as she
begins to walk down the ramp and down to the ring. The crowd has an aura of
uncertainty as they all watch her go.
Phillips: “Making her way to the ring, from Panguitch, Utah, Polly Pingotti!!!”
No smile comes to Polly's face as her unmistakable green eyes are just locked
on the ring in front of her. As she arrives at the ring apron, she places her
left hand into the left pocket of the black skirt she has on and pulls out a
black diamond. She looks very entranced by it. As her music comes back around
to the second chorus, she puts the diamond back into her pocket and seals the
skirt's velcro pocket shut. Polly then goes to the steel ring steps, parks her
small red wagon, and then walks up the steps and gets into the ring. Once
inside the ring she stands right in the middle, closes her eyes, and presents a
flying motion. She opens her eyes back up and light on her feet chooses a
corner of the ring to wait in. She crosses her arms in front of her and starts
tapping her left foot, looking now to the stage so she can look into the eyes
of her opponent.
“Bird Set Free” fades out and Knots is quick to comment.
Knots: “What’s with the wagon? I know she went to CHBK before leaving the site
of last week’s Breakdown and demanded this match, but why does she have that
with her?”
Sharper: “I have no idea Jon. Maybe we’ll find out. Maybe we won’t. One thing
is certain, as it always is with Polly, her blood must be boiling, her
continuous frustrations obvious.”
Knots: “I can’t blame her.”
Polly continues to impatiently tap her left foot, speeding that action up now.
After a few moments “How Do I Feel” by Hoku comes across the sound system.
Polly’s annoyance level definitely shoots up as she rolls her eyes and looks up
at the lights above her. Therapeutica Smiley comes out onto the stage wearing a
short light purple off-shoulder dress. She is smiling and holds a microphone in
her hand.
Phillips: “And her opponent, from Malibu, California, Therapeutica Smiley!!!”
She allows her music to play and blows some kisses out at the crowd which gets
a positive reaction. She then runs her right hand through her hair before she
gets on the microphone which leads to her entrance theme being turned down.
Therapeutica: “Hi. I doubt that many of you remember me as it’s been years
since I’ve competed. Allow me to introduce myself. I’m Therapeutica Smiley and
well, I have always been all about emotions. Mostly happy ones, but I too have
gone through rough times in the past. Even had to spend a little time in a
mental institution because everyone believed I smiled too much. I just rolled
with the punches as bad feelings and bad things come with the good ones. Polly,
you of all people should know that. I um- while I was going to enter the Taking
Hold of the Flame battle royal, it turned out that I wasn’t needed, which I was
okay with. But I couldn’t just stand on the sidelines for this one. You wanted a
match and I want to help you find your smile. I feel bad for you. I really do.
You’re a good woman from what I’ve seen and-”
She is cut off as Polly has just snatched Jason Phillips’ microphone away from
him.
Polly: “Excuse me? You don’t know me at all! You don’t know what I’ve been
through! Let me guess. CHBK sent you?! He wants me to be YOUR Welcome Wagon
too?!?!?! Here’s a fun fact. You shouldn’t trust that man. Now, if you want to
come down here and fight me? Fine! But I don’t need a talking-to and I sure as
HELL don’t need someone that wants to be happy-go-lucky and trying to see
things in the most positive way when no positive even exists! Don’t feel bad
for me Smiley! Feel bad for yourself!!!”
Polly tosses the microphone down and gestures for Therapeutica to come down to
the ring, which she walks down the ramp with “How Do I Feel” resuming.
Therapeutica stops right at the bottom of the ramp to acknowledge a few younger
fans before she finally turns and rolls into the ring. She is met immediately by
a few boots from Polly. Therapeutica does her best to cover up as Jennifer
Cassidy tells Polly to back off. Polly doesn’t listen as she kicks Therapeutica
right into the nearest corner. She then backs off and Jennifer takes the chance
to call for the bell to begin the match, not realizing that Polly had bad
intentions. As the bell rings, Polly runs and baseball slides Therapeutica so
her back hits the bottom of the ring post, getting Therapeutica to cry out and
feel at her back.
Knots: “Oh my goodness! I could hear that! What has gotten into Polly?”
Sharper: “We’ve already been over this. She’s overly frustrated.”
Polly looks at her opponent but doesn’t relent. She grabs Therapeutica by her
right leg and drags her back to the dead center of the ring. It is here where
Polly walks across Therapeutica’s back, which leads to more vocal anguish
coming from Therapeutica. Polly turns back around and grabs Therapeutica’s
head, bringing her up to her feet. Therapeutica wildly swings at Polly. Polly
easily dodges the attempt and then gets behind her and immediately locks in a
rear naked chokehold. Therapeutica walks towards and grabs a hold of the top
rope with her hands, which gets Jennifer Cassidy to begin a five count.
1!
2!
3!
4!
Polly lets go as soon as she hears “4”. Right after she does, she knees
Therapeutica right at the base of her spine. This gets her to move forward. She
then crawls to the ropes, holding on for dear life to the ropes with her hands.
Polly doesn’t look thrilled but leaves her be. Therapeutica takes her time and
finally does use the ropes to bring herself back to her feet. Polly looks like
she is going to go after her again but Jennifer Cassidy blocks her way, which
sets Polly off a bit more. The block though has given just enough time to
Therapeutica. She goes around Jennifer and throws herself at Polly, knocking
both herself and Polly down to the mat. Therapeutica rises back to her feet,
feeling at her back. She then gingerly picks up a little momentum. Polly begins
to come back to her feet but Therapeutica puts her back down as she jumps up
and twirls herself in midair, landing a dropkick onto Polly. Polly rolls over
on the mat, not even giving Therapeutica a chance to even try to pin her
shoulders down. Polly rolls more and out to the apron. She brings herself back
to her feet as Therapeutica nods, bringing her fists in front of her. Polly
looks at them and scoffs.
Sharper: “It looks like she wants to engage in a battle of fists with Polly.
Polly turning that down.”
Knots: “At least she wasn’t dumb to offer a handshake or something. No chance
of that happening.”
Therapeutica sighs. Polly meanwhile just paces before she goes to one of the
corners of the ring. Therapeutica looks to the ring ropes and ascends to the
middle rope. Polly goes up to the top rope, one-upping her opponent.
Therapeutica takes a couple seconds to go up to the third rope as well, but
this has given Polly the time to walk on the top rope. She gets to Therapeutica
as she ascends and then shoves Therapeutica down into the ring. Therapeutica
lands directly on her previously damaged back, which gets her to cry out even
louder than she did earlier. Polly isn’t showing a bit of care in her green
eyes as she flies off with a perfectly executed top rope splash, landing right
on Therapeutica’s sternum. Polly reaches back and grabs Therapeutica’s left
leg, hooking it up.

Therapeutica finds it in herself to kick out. Polly shakes her head and looks
down at her left skirt pocket. Her eyes close for a brief moment before they
reopen. Polly stands up and looks back down at her opponent before she makes a
beeline for the furthest corner of the ring. She lifts up her right foot.
Knots: “She has to be thinking about her Head Turner. Polly has always wanted
to turn heads. Always wants to break that glass ceiling.”
Sharper: “Yeah. This isn’t looking good for Smiley.”
Polly loads it up but it’s almost as if Therapeutica can sense it coming. She
rolls out to the ring apron and Jennifer Cassidy goes to check on her.
Therapeutica tells her that she’s fine. She drops down to the floor, regains
her bearings and then hops back up onto the apron and ascends back up to the
top rope. Jennifer gets out of the way. Polly goes to run at the ropes, to make
Therapeutica pay for being up on the top, but as she does, Therapeutica
somersaults off the top with the Happy-Go-Leapy, landing it flush onto Polly!
The crowd cheers her on as now it is Therapeutica that lays down on top of
Polly, hooking Polly’s left leg up! Jennifer Cassidy comes in for the fall.

Polly rolls the shoulder in time and then kicks out, forcing Therapeutica off
of her. Polly pounds the mat with frustration and glares at Jennifer Cassidy.
She can be heard.
Polly: “How DARE you!!!”
Polly grunts real loud but then turns her attention back to Therapeutica. Polly
with her pent-up anger now out, runs at her opponent and spears Therapeutica
down to the mat, HARD!
Sharper: “Ooh. She got all of that one. She can probably just cover her after
that.”
Polly gets up and stomps over to the furthest corner once again. She waits for
Therapeutica to begin to rise, which she does. As she does, Polly comes at her
and absolutely drills Therapeutica’s head into the mat.
Knots: “Head Turner! Therapeutica has got to be out cold!”
Sharper: “Perhaps. And Polly is not doing what Smiley wanted. She is still not
smiling.”
Polly has closed her eyes again, her mouth partially open after hitting the
Head Turner. She then slowly turns around and looks at Therapeutica laying
there. Polly’s eyes go wide as she then kneels down behind Therapeutica. The
crowd is booing and it boos even louder when Polly decides to jab her left knee
right into Therapeutica’s back, even though she is still down. Polly grinds it
in and then wraps her arms around Therapeutica’s neck, pulling her neck upwards
into a Recliner.
Sharper: “This is just not Polly now. That is what I’m being told is her Curse
of the Dark Diamond. Jennifer, please, ring the bell.”
Polly keeps her arms cinched in as Jennifer Cassidy nervously goes down to raise
Therapeutica’s right arm up. After she does and it goes limp, Jennifer calls
for the bell.
Phillips: “Ladies and gentlemen, via submission, here is your winner… Polly
Pingotti!”
“Bird Set Free” begins to play as the crowd boos. Polly can hear them as she
closes her eyes, not letting Therapeutica go. The music shuts off as the
timekeeper rings the bell repeatedly again which leads to Marissa Swanson
coming down the ramp from the backstage area. She slides into the ring and
tries to tell Polly to let her go, but Polly doesn’t seem to hear her. Marissa
then tugs at Polly which gets Polly to let go. After standing up, Polly spins
around and knees Marissa right in the back. This surprises Marissa as she goes
down to her knees. Having lost it, Polly grinds her left knee right into
Marissa’s back now and then wraps her arms around Marissa’s neck and begins to
pull back.
Knots: “Yup. She’s lost it! Now going for Marissa!”
Sharper: “I don’t think Polly knows what she’s doing. She is not herself.”
The bell rings even more as although Marissa has taken advantage of Polly
before, Polly has the hold cinched in and is relentlessly pulling back. Marissa
taps her left hand against Polly’s left arm and yells out hoarsely.
Marissa: “Polly! It’s me! IT’S ME!!!”
This finally gets Polly to realize what she is doing. She yells out loud once,
letting Marissa go. Marissa lays on the mat and clutches at her throat as Polly
rolls out of the ring. Meanwhile a couple of the medical staff have come out to
check on Therapeutica. Therapeutica is just coming to but immediately goes to
hold her neck with her left hand as she feels at her back with her right hand.
Polly looks that way but then she looks at Marissa. Polly grunts and then
retrieves her small red wagon and leaves via the ramp. Marissa watches her go,
now actually grinning as she looks at Polly’s back, despite still feeling at
her neck as the scene fades.

We see Giovanni Aries and William Heaven talking before James Evans walks over to them.
Evans: “Excuse me, but I think it’s time to finally deal with this. You’ve asked us to wait and wait. To put up the solid front. But the fact is that if Giovanni doesn’t want the title…there are two of us here who would prefer to hold it.”
Heaven: “And that would undo what Giovanni wants to do. And frankly, he allows us to supercharge this-“
Evans: “Supercharge what?”
Heaven: “To bring SCW to its knees!”
Evans: “So this had nothing to do with just holding the titles. To take opportunities that were prevented by the politics here-“
Creek: “Are you surprised?”
Evans turns.
Creek: “We all know what Giovanni was. And he’s now got this company where he wants it.”
Giovanni looks a bit surprised.
Giovanni: “Good to see you’re starting to get enlightened.”
Creek: “That’s one way to put it. Then again, I’m the only one still holding the titles that are supposed to be mine…the one I didn’t earn. While you want to play hide and seek with it…and you think you’re too good for the title you did win.”
Evans: “Because I should still be champion! That was the plan! The plan to then snuff everyone out. The plan to then eventually pass the torch to YOU Waylon.”
Heaven: “And that will still happen!”
The group stops arguing.
Giovanni: “If SCW is at its knees. If we hold the power, not the Selenas, or Syrens…not the legends who return and immediately get the spotlight…then we can rebuild it as Heaven wants. Where people don’t fawn over the desire to hold a golden trinket!”
Creek looks at Giovanni and then Heaven.
Creek: “Then I’m in as long as I get my shot. I may not be getting the World Title…I may not get Xander…but I will get something I want.”
Heaven: “Tonight, no disagreement there.”
Creek: “Good…”
Evans: “Then let me do something for you, William. And it’s something I want to do because I want to spill some blood. I’ve been on a leash for too long. And it will at least make me feel good.”
Heaven: “James…I trust you. Do you worst.”
Evans storms out of the room. Heaven, Creek, and Aries watch him leave as the scene cuts back to the ring.
Chris Lawler vs. Dante Slayton
SCW Television Championship
The
dimmed lights cast an atmosphere of anticipation as the arena falls into
darkness, the only illumination coming from the pulsating strobe lights. The
crowd's murmurs fade into a hush as the opening chords of "Warrior"
by Imagine Dragons reverberate through the speakers, electrifying the air with
anticipation.
From the depths of the darkness, a figure emerges, his silhouette outlined
against the backdrop of flashing lights. With each step, the floor trembles
beneath his feet, echoing the determination that propels him forward. It's
Chris Lawler, a titan among men, his presence commanding attention as he
strides purposefully down the entrance ramp.
Phillips:
“The following contest is scheduled for onefall with a fifteen minute time
limit and is for the SCW Television Championship. Introducing first, the
challenger, from Nashville, Tennessee, he is Chris Lawler!”
His eyes, a piercing shade of blue, remain fixed on the ring ahead, unwavering
in their focus as if they could pierce through the very fabric of reality.
Ignoring the cacophony of cheers and jeers that surround him, Lawler remains
resolute in his mission, his gaze locked on the squared circle where his
destiny awaits.
As Lawler reaches the foot of the ring, the strobe lights reach a crescendo,
bathing him in a pulsating glow of light and shadow. With a subtle nod to the
crowd, Lawler ascends the steel steps, each footfall a testament to his
unwavering determination.
Finally, he steps between the ropes, his presence filling the ring with an aura
of intensity and purpose. Standing tall in the center of the ring, Lawler
raises his gaze to the heavens, a silent vow etched upon his features. Tonight,
he will leave everything in the ring, his spirit unbroken, his resolve
unyielding, as he prepares to face whatever challenges come his way.
Sharper: “Lawler is hoping to regain the SCW Television Championship here tonight. He lost it about a month ago to Marissa Swanson. Swanson lost to Slayton last week.”
Knots: “That’s the nature of it. You defend it every week and against someone different. At some point, it catches up to you.”
The lights in the arena fade down to a low blue as suddenly a voice speaks up from somewhere within the darkness that surrounds everybody.
<For a few seconds, this place was Armageddon!>
<There was a firefight!>
<Marilyn Manson>
<REACH OUT AND TOUCH FAITH!!>
As Marilyn Manson's cover of Depeche Mode's "Personal Jesus" begins to play, the fans in attendance start to stomp in time with the drumline as Dante Slayton slowly walks out onto the entrance way, playing to the crowds followed by both Wil Pierce and Alex Belmont who do fist bumps with Dante before he slowly starts to make his way down to the ring. Belmont and Pierce head to the back. The SCW Television Championship sits around Slayton’s waist.
Phillips: “His opponent, he hails from Boston, Massachusetts, representing the Shinigami Foundation, known internationally as the “Harbinger of Fury”, the SCW Television Champion, this is DANTE SLAYTON!!!”
Dante continues his walk down to the ring, occasionally fist bumping with a fan before he gets to the ring steps where stands there for a moment with his eyes closed as he fights to center himself before he slams both of his fists on the top of the ring steps before climbing them, wiping his feet off before entering the ring properly before hitting his father's signature crucifix pose to the roar of the crowds. He then takes off his title before turning and handing it to the official, Steve Hollinsworth. Hollinsworth raises the title over his head as the SCW Television Championship logo comes across the screen.
Sharper: “Slayton meanwhile earning his first bit of SCW gold last week. He’s hoping that he can keep it going.”
Knots: “The man wants to fight anyone and everyone. Be a bit more selective. He still wants his hands on James Evans. But the fact is that he needs to focus on that title.”
Hollinsworth hands off the title and calls for the bell. The bell sounds. Lawler and Slayton step up to one another and immediately Slayton nails Lawler with a hard forearm. Lawler fires back with a hard right. The two trade blows as the crowd erupts in Rochester. Slayton starts to get the advantage getting a couple of hard shots in, tagging Lawler with forearm after forearm. Lawler gets to the ropes. “Psycho in My Head” plays as we see a shot of Simon Lyman on one side of the screen and Xander Valentine on the other side. Both are getting prepared for their match.

The video continues to play for several moments before we cut to the ring.
Spencer Pryce vs. Gavin Taylor
The
lights around the arena begin to flicker as "Whoa Is Me" by Down With
Webster starts to play over the arena.
Whoa is me
I'm so whoa
See me decked out from my head to my toe
Whoa is me
I'm so whoa
Everywhere I go I'm a one man show
The crowd cheers as "All Star" Gavin Taylor steps out from behind the
curtain onto the top of the ramp. As he stands in place, posing with his arms
outstretched, the chorus of the song plays.
Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall with a twenty minute time limit. First, on his way to the ring, from Los Angeles, California, he is The All-Star, Gavin Taylor!”
Say whoa (whoa)
The more I feel it whoa (whoa)
The more I need it whoa (whoa)
You say whoa
Whoa is me
I'm so whoa
Gavin begins to walk down the ramp with swagger. He smirks as he gets to the
ring. Pulling himself to the apron, he hangs out off the ring while holding
onto the top rope.
I cheated to get what I got
Stepped all over you self for my spot
I bet you I'm winning, I bet that you're not
I bet you don't see me, I bet you get caught
Gavin pulls himself through the ropes and steps onto the second ropes on the
opposite side of the ring from the ramp. He opens his jersey, sliding it off
his shoulders as he stretches his arms out. Turning around, he bounces back off
the ropes as he watches for his opponent.
Sharper: “Last week, Gavin Taylor and Spencer Pryce had a brief exchange, more out of respect, and just showing how much has changed with the truth about Ryan Lyman being known.”
Knots: “Yeah and more a sense where Spencer Pryce had issues with Simon, his father. Turns out it was Ryan who had prevented a relationship. Just, all of it affecting everything. A fresh start though. Pryce says he’s gunning to get back to where he was. Good luck.”
The
light dim for a few moments, then the stage lights up in red as “Dominate” by Three
Days Grace begins:
{There's nothing more dangerous
Than a man with something to prove and nothing to lose
There nothing more dangerous
Than a man with nothing to lose}
A white spotlight hits the stage near the curtain as Spencer Pryce steps out,
arms spread wide. Spencer then makes his way down the ramp, focused on the
ring.
{I will dominate
Seize the day
Ring the bell
Storm the gates
I will dominate, dominate
through the pain, through the pain}
Running up the steps, Spencer then grabs the top rope, using it as leverage to
leap over the top rope to enter. Stepping to the center of the ring, Spencer
spreads his arms wide again, and makes a big exaggerated turn along with the
next lyrics:
{Mine to give, mine to take
I was made to dom - i - nate!}
Spencer then goes to his corner and uses the ropes for some stretches as the
music fades out.
Sharper: “Former US Champion here. He left in disrepute. He returned last year for one night – Ryan Lyman, we now know, low blowed him. Pryce returning, full-time, at Taking Hold of the Flame.”
Knots: “And he beat the hell out of Ryan Lyman. Got it out of his system so he can focus.”
The bell sounds. Pryce and Taylor look at one another. They quickly touch hands, showing some respect, before circling the ring. They then lunge and lock up in the middle of the ring with a collar-and-elbow tie-up. They push back on one another before Taylor moves into a side headlock. Sharper: “Taylor showing his agility. Nice counter and Pryce now to the corner.”
Knots: “Stay there. Limits what Gavin can do. But also limits what options you have.”

Pryce reaches around as Gavin keeps the hold on. The official, Jennifer Cassidy, checks on Pryce. Pryce remains fighting as Gavin tries to hold on. Pryce then grabs at the arms of Gavin and tries to move around and then gets to the side before hoisting Gavin up and hitting a back suplex. Pryce rolls over, holding his throat. Phillips: “Here is your winner, via submission, Spencer Pryce!”
Sharper: “Pryce returns to the ring here tonight and is victorious, managing to secure the submission victory over the All-Star.”
Knots: “Gotta hope Gavin doesn’t spiral from this, but Pryce coming back and well, that’s good for him. Coming back and stepping back in a big way.”

The opening of “Shot from a Cannon" can be heard blaring through the PA system. The camera will pan through the curtain as the face of James Evans appears, igniting a negative reaction from the crowd, as they shower him in jeers. The camera remains on James as he breaks through the curtain. The boos intensify as James looks out at the crowd, dressed in his street clothes.
Sharper: “James Evans is on his way out here. He was clearly riled and Heaven telling him to blow off some steam.”
Knots: “This is not a man you want to blow off steam. We know what he’s capable of.”
Sharper:
“That may be the point. He said he’d deal with one thorn for the Fall of Man.”
"Ten minutes in he's sweating
Should I have asked for more than fame?
Ignore that beast, he's smiling
It's not 'til next New Year's Eve"
James slowly makes his way to the ring. He then storms over to the ring steps
only to walk past them. He then storms over to Jason Phillips. He demands a microphone
as the crowd continues to boo him. Phillips hands him one. James takes it and
turns.
Evans: “Cut my music!”
The crowd buzzes and then boos as James Evan storms up the steel steps.
Evans: “I don’t think I have to say much to point out that I’m not exactly thrilled with how things are going. So I’m going to do something that SCW is going to regret because the fact is that you can try and stop me, or you can just let this happen because I promise I will do worse!”
Evans enters the ring.
Evans: “Many people have smartly stayed out of our way because they know they can’t deal with us. Well, a couple continues to show they are too stupid to move on and realize that they need to just sit back and watch, recognizing there is nothing they can do. And hearing this fool talk about how he’s going to end something…you know what…I think it’s time they become nothing more than an example. At least then they’d have some use.”
Evans walks around the ring.
Evans: “Chris Dumont…”
The crowd roars.
Evans: “I know you’re back there. I know you’re probably dreaming about how you’re going to beat up an old man like the coward you are. I’m going to make you a deal…if you can come out here and pin my shoulders down for three…Heaven’s order of protection goes. But the reality is you won’t get the chance because I plan to make it so you leave here in traction. Should that dumbass come out to this ring, get the ambulance ready. All you’ll be known for Dumont is being a victim of the Fall of Man and a warning to the rest of SCW!”
Evans paces around the ring.
Knots: “Calling out Dumont! Yeah! Let’s end this. Let’s end that fools delusions!”
Sharper: “I don’t know about this.”
Knots: “CHBK says he wants things settled in the ring. Evans is offering that!”
Sharper: “You’re not wrong. But Evans also is as riled as we’ve seen him. He lost the World Title and you can see the unease.”
Evans continues to wait in the ring before “Wild Thing” by X plays and the crowd roars. A few moments pass before we see Chris Dumont walk out from the back. He then throws his arms up, acknowledging he’s ready to fight. He then starts to pick up the pace and run to the ring. Evans drops the microphone and slides down to the floor. The crowd erupts as Ronin nails Evans with a hard forearm as Evans nails him with a hard right. They trade blows in the end of the entrance way as the crowd roars and Dumont knees Evans and runs him over to the steel steps. Evans blocks it and drives Dumont in. Dumont staggers over to the barricade and Evans nails him with a hard right and then another and another and another. Dumont looks up as Evans grabs him and runs him face first into the steel steps again. The crowd ohs as Dumont falls back and rolls over.
Sharper: “Evans driving Dumont into the steel steps over and over.”
Knots: “This fool right down here…and look! Already busted open!”
Dumont looks up, blood coming down his face as Evans grabs him and nails him with a hard right. He then grabs him and lifts him up, dropping him on the barricade. Dumont staggers back and over to the ringpost. Evans then looks at him and runs at him and goes for a clothesline, but Dumont ducks. Evans goes arm first into the ringpost. He pulls away, wincing in pain. Dumont then runs at him and nails him with a forearm shot and then another and another and another. Dumont then grabs Evans and runs him over and drives him face first into the announce table. He then lifts him up and drives him face first again. Evans falls to a knee.
Sharper: “Into our announce table. Dumont driving Evans into this table.”
Knots: “Get in the ring. Come on. You want to prove you’re better than him. Do it that way!”
Dumont grabs Evans and then drives him a third time before turning and running him over into the steel steps, shoulder first. Evans falls over as Dumont staggers back. Dumont looks around before turning and running at Knots and nailing him with the Code Zero! Knots falls back as the crowd ohs. Dumont staggers back and turns forward.
Sharper: “Oh!”
Dumont: “That’s for David you loudmouth piece of shit! I hope I broke your jaw!”
Dumont then turns as Evans, holding the top half of the steel steps, runs over and drives them into the face of Dumont. Dumont drops and Evans lifts the steps up and slams them onto the shoulder of Dumont. The crowd ohs.
Sharper: “Evans taking down Dumont…Dumont just attacked Jonathan Knots. Jon…”
Sharper checks on Jonathan Knots who is down.
Sharper: “We need some help out here.”
Evans then grabs the steps and throws them over. Evans looks at Dumont and stomps him in the face a few times. Evans then grabs Dumont and drags him up before turning and rolling him into the ring. Evans slides in. Dumont staggers up and falls to a knee. He then turns around and Evans hoists him up and hits a uranage backbreaker. He throws Dumont down. Evans then looks at him and stomps him in the shoulder. He calmly walks around and stomps his thigh and then his left knee before then stomping him in the chest and then then head. Dumont rolls over. We see a couple of officials jogging around the ring and heading over to check on Jonathan Knots.
Sharper: “Help coming for Knots…they’re not stopping Evans and Dumont though as Evans stomping Dumont over and over.”
Dumont rolls over and Evans elbows him in the back of the head. He then drags him up and runs him into the top turnbuckle. Dumont turns as Evans then grabs him and hoists him up onto the top rope.
Sharper: “Oh no…we’ve seen this before. Evans said someone was going to the hospital. I don’t think he meant Knots!”
Evans then climbs up to the middle rope and clubs Dumont over and over and over again. We briefly cut to officials checking on Knots, as we see the trainer now with Knots too. Evans then grabs Dumont and places his head between his legs. The crowd roars as Evans smiles. He goes to lift Dumont up. Dumont blocks it, holding onto the top turnbuckle. Evans tries again and then clubs Dumont again, but on the third time, Dumont lifts his head and Evans goes up and nearly over. He grabs at the ringpost and uses this to guide him down as he lands with a thud, landing back first onto the apron and down to the floor. Dumont then looks over as slowly climbs down. The crowd ohs. Evans grimaces, rolling over, holding his back and Dumont then drops down.
Sharper: “Evans thrown. Landing hard on the apron! He looks hurt! And Dumont is going to take advantage. Evans’s hubris got him.”
Dumont drops down and grabs Evans. He drags him up and runs him into the barricade. Dumont then nails him with a hard right and then another and another. Evans staggers out and into the rampway, trying to get some distance. Dumont follows and runs up and nails him in the back. Evans continues to move to the stage. Dumont runs over and nails him again. Evans staggers up and drops down to the knee. Dumont then grabs him and Evans reaches up and rakes the eyes of Dumont. He then nails him with a hard right. Evans turns, holding his back and then turns and goes to the stage. Dumont rolls over and gets up and he then runs at Evans and Evans turns and throws him into the stage bracing. The crowd ohs Dumont hits hard. Evans then grabs him and drags him over and then elbows him in the head. He then takes a moment, clearly showing he is hurt and hoists him up onto his shoulders. Evans grits his teeth, but then can’t stand up and Dumont slides behind him. Evans staggers forward and turns around only for Dumont to hit the Code Zero on Evans. Evans staggers back and falls to the stage, a few feet from the edge.
Sharper: “And another Code Zero, but Evans…he couldn’t get the Mark of Ruin off. And Dumont…what’s he doing…what’s he doing.”
Evans hold his jaw as Dumont looks at him and then kicks him in the ribs. He then double underhooks him and the crowd roars as he then hoists Evans up.
Sharper: “Wait…wait! No! Nightrider off the stage!”
Dumont muscles Evans up and then steps forward and jumps off, with Evans, driving him through a camera platform on the side of the stage. The crowd ohs as they go through the platform, but the walls remain up, failing to give a clear shot the landing. A few moments pass as we see Evans down as Dumont crawls over and throws an arm onto him. We see him counting himself down.

Dumont looks at him and pushes off. The crowd roars as Dumont rolls over. We see now officials running over to check on Evans and Dumont. Dumont pulls away and climbs over the wall and down to the floor.
Sharper: “By his own hand…he counted three. We saw it. …but Evans, he’s down. He’s hurt. Jonathan Knots here too…CHBK let it go…”
Dumont starts to get up as he then staggers over to the wall and looks over and looks at Evans. He then spits at him before turning and falling to a knee. An official checks on him before we then hear “Wild Thing” playing again. Dumont looks around as he then smirks.
Sharper: “His music is playing…Evans is down. Dumont just caught Evans in his hubris. But will his word mean something?”
Dumont then throws his arms up. The crowd cheers.
Sharper: “Dumont celebrating. We’ll be back. Syren to face Clyde Sutter in Underground Rules in moments, but…we have people down. Fall of Man may have just taken a big blow too! We’ll be back.”
The camera remains on Dumont as he then is joined by David Striker, Kyle Gibson and Irvine who all applaud and congratulate him as the scene cuts to commercial.
COMMERCIALS
Breakdown returns as we see an ambulance starting to pull away from the Blue Cross Arena. William Heaven walks away from the ambulance, clearly upset. He then stops as we hear Chris Dumont yelling from down the hallway.
Dumont: “You have a choice now William. You can be the adult in the room and realize you’re screwed and I’m coming for your ass…or you can try and break the verbal agreement that jackass made with me. Choice is yours!”
Heaven just glares at Dumont storms off as we see officials stay between the two parties. Heaven storms off as we cut back to ringside.
At ringside, we see Adam Sharper at the announce position. Lucas Knight is sitting down next to him.
Sharper: “Welcome back to ringside. You’ll notice Jonathan Knots not here. Chris Dumont striking him in the battle with James Evans. Lucas Knight joining me at ringside.”
Knight: “Adam…not the way I wanted to come here to join the table.”
Sharper: “Not at all. Any update you can give us.”
Knight: “James Evans is being sent to the hospital and Jon, I know he’s getting checked by the trainer. CHBK is going to have an interesting headache to deal with there.”
Syren vs. Clyde Sutter
Underground Rules
The
lights in the arena plunge into darkness. A pulsing sound akin to a heartbeat
plays out across the PA system as the fans cheer. We cut to the backstage area
we see Syren, in her full ring gear, complete with black ring jacket and pink
halter-top/black tights, making her way down a corridor, accompanied by Lexy
Chapel dressed in a long skirt and t-shirt that reads ‘REJOICE, LEXY NATION’.
She begins walking into the arena as we cut back to inside to see the fans
reacting.
LEXY CHAPEL PRESENTS
“Groupie” by Cassie Steele then hits as we see one of the doors opening and
Syren and Lexy walking through. She pauses to take in the atmosphere before
walking down toward the ring.
Sinfully Seductive
Captivatingly Corrupt
DARK FANTASY
Syren and Lexy both walk down the walkway to the crowd barricade, occasionally
slapping the hands of fans, before walking around and through the timekeeper’s
area. Syren jumps up onto the apron before climbing the turnbuckles on the
outside and waving her hands to get the fans fired up. As the camera gets
closer to her, she shouts at the camera before pointing out at the fans. The
camera switches to Lexy who yells about her client and the ‘Lexy Nation’
appreciating them.
Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall with a thirty minute
time limit and will be contested under underground rules! Introducing first,
being accompanied by Lexy Chapel and representing LexyCorp International,
hailing from Los Angeles, California, this is SYREN!”
Syren smiles before leaping over the top rope, dropping to her knees in the
ring, posing with both her arms outstretched, palms facing up. Lexy rolls into
the ring and stands over her, pointing down at her client. She offers both her
hands to Syren, pulling her up. Syren takes off her ring jacket and hands that
to Lexy before taking back the title. She climbs up on the middle rope, posing
for a moment and then jumping back down and standing in her corner with Lexy,
as her music fades out.
Sharper: “Syren last week dropped Meghan Strader. She came back and immediately made it clear that Strader’s claim for revenge is going to a bit tougher.”
Knight: “There is one thing you don’t do. You don’t count her out. And if you do, it’s going to be your detriment. The same goes for Clyde Sutter. This may be underground rules, but she remembers Sutter attacking her a few weeks ago. And she’s already stepped up and trying to undo those past slights.”
The lights in the arena go out as the opening chords of “Unforgiven” by Metallica begins to play. As the song picks up its pace a spotlight shines at the top of the ramp and we see “The Assassin” Clyde Sutter standing there with a sinister grin on his face. He is joined by the beautiful Melinda Braddock. After a few moments of soaking in the crowd reaction, which he seems to enjoy despite their booing, Sutter and Melinda begin to make their slow walk down the ramp.
Phillips: “Her opponent, from Charlotte, North Carolina, accompanied by Melinda Braddock, he is the Assassin, Clyde Sutter!”
The spotlight follows the sinister sociopath as he approaches the ring. They reach the ring area and Melinda kisses him on his cheek. Sutter turns as Syren runs at the ropes and dives over the top rope and hits a huge tope suicida onto Sutter, both falling into the entrance way. The crowd erupts as the bell sounds.
Sharper: “Syren! Suicide dive! Over the top! Right onto Sutter!”
Knight: “Told you not to underestimate her. No one is more dangerous when driven!”
Syren turns back and nails Sutter with repeated right hands. Lexy jumps up and down in joy. Syren gets up as Sutter rolls over. Syren moves to the ring and reaches underneath and grabs a trash can. She turns and runs over and nails Sutter in the back of the head, denting the chair, knocking him down to the floor. Syren then dumps the contents over Sutter. Sutter swats some of the paper away and rolls over as Syren then throws the chair down into him again. She turns back to the ring, looking underneath before grabbing a tray of drinks, complete with ice water. She then lifts it up and throws it over Sutter. Sutter turns, drenched. He gets up as Syren then turns and nails him in the back with the tray. Sutter falls to the barricade.
Sharper: “And Syren is not hesitating at all. She’s grabbing what she can and going right for Sutter.”
Knight: “She needs to be careful though. She may just anger him and Sutter is a large man with the capability to turn it around.”
Syren turns and goes back to the ring and reaches underneath, grabbing a steel chair. She then turns back as Sutter runs at her and just clotheslines her down. She hits the mats and rolls over. Sutter then turns and grabs her and rolls her into the ring. He then grabs the trash can and throws it into the ring. It narrowly lands on Syren. Sutter then grabs the chair and slides it in as Melinda rubs her hands together in anticipation for the violence Sutter will unleash.
Sharper: “Melinda Braddock at ringside. The Braddocks seem to share a hatred of Syren.”
Knight: “I’d say jealousy, but that’s me.”
Sharper: “Do you agree with how CHBK has put things with Glory Braddock?”
Knight: “I think Glory made a selfish decision. I think others are understandable angry. And if she’s okay with that, that’s her choice. It’s her career. Her legacy. She’s done this before – there’s an ego in there and it comes out from time to time. Every great has that problem.”
Sharper: “Either way, Melinda and Glory about to enjoy this!”
Syren gets up and runs at Sutter, but Sutter scoops her up into a sidewalk slam position before turning and slamming her through the trash can. The crowd ohs. Sutter pulls back on the legs.

Syren kicks out. Sutter rolls off and then turns to Melinda, saying something to her. Melinda nods and moves to the ring. Sutter moves over to Syren as she starts to get up and Sutter hits a back elbow, knocking her back into the corner. He then hits another back elbow. He hooks him up and then steps out and hits a huge beal out of the corner. Melinda then pulls out a second steel chair before then grabbing a table and pulling it up. She then slides into the ring. Lexy looks on and then looks around before then she starts to look under the ring.
Sharper: “Melinda Braddock seconding Clyde Sutter.”
Knight: “Lexy Chapel joining in. Guess fate wants some chaos!”
The crowd roars as Sutter grabs the table and lifts it up and places it into the corner. He turns back and Syren then grabs him and hits a jawbreaker. Sutter staggers back as Chapel then pulls out a wrench and slides it into the ring to Syren. Syren looks at Lexy.
Chapel: “That bitch started it!”
Chapel points at Melinda. Syren then grabs the wrench and then turns as Sutter recovers and swing. Syren ducks but swings the wrench into the stomach of Sutter. Sutter staggers. She then turns and places the wrench around the neck of Sutter and starts to pull back. He staggers, and Syren tries to hold on before then twisting him around and hitting a neckbreaker, pulling down on Sutter’s throat with the wrench. She turns and goes for the pin.

Sutter powers out. Syren lands on her feet and then jumps up and hits the Blonde Satisfaction. She then gets up as Sutter pushes away. Syren then grabs a steel chair as Sutter starts to get up. Syren then looks at Sutter.
Sharper: “Syren quickly moving. She’s got a chair.”
Knight: “She’s going to have to make it count.”
Syren turns and swings. Sutter drops down and crawls forward as Syren misses. Sutter then grabs the steel chair Melinda slid into the ring. Syren turns and both Sutter and Syren swing, both striking each other’s chairs, but Sutter’s power advantage causes Syren’s chair to fly out of her hands. She then winces, shaking her hands before forearming him in the jaw once and then again before kicking him in the ribs. She then turns and runs into the ropes. She bounces off, but Sutter boots her in the face. Syren hits the mat and pops up and turns and Sutter drives the chair into the ribs of Syren. Syren falls to a knee and starts to get up. He then slams the chair into the back of Syren. Syren drops to the mat. Sutter throws the chair down and then Syren starts to get up and Sutter just looks at her before then grabbing her, dragging her up and turning and spinning her around and throwing her back first into the table. Syren goes through as the crowd ohs.
Sharper: “Sutter just whipping Syren around and throwing her through that table.”
Knight: “That man has a massive strength advantage. And add the underground rules, this may be his playground more than Syren’s. And Syren needs to get back to what worked to start this match.”
Sharper: “Sutter would say this is just fate.”
Knight: “Bollocks.”
Sutter walks around as Lexy Chapel looks under the ring. As this happens, we see Meghan Strader walking out from the back, white tape in one hand as she starts to tape her fists. The crowd roars as they see Strader. Sutter looks up at the ramp and smirks. He then walks over to the ropes and then sits on them, inviting her down. Strader doesn’t seem to acknowledge this, still just slowly wrapping the tape around her fist.
Sharper: “And we have company. Meghan Strader here and this could get very bad for Syren!”
Knight: “Not if I can help it. I am still an SCW official.”
Knight gets up, taking off his headset and starting to walk around the ring. Sutter steps off of the ropes as we see Chapel slide another chair into the ring. Syren grabs at it as Sutter walks over to Syren and steps on the chair. He then wags his finger at Chapel. He turns back to Syren, but Syren then low blows him. The crowd ohs as Sutter falls back to the corner. Meghan finishes tapping her fists, as Chapel goes to grab something else from under the ring. We then see Sutter grimacing as Syren takes the chair and slides it into position before grabbing Sutter and DDTing onto it. Syren turns and hooks the leg.

Sutter kicks out. Chapel then pulls out a table. Melinda Braddock reaches underneath and looks around before grabbing another chair. She pulls it out as Chapel starts to set up the table on the floor.
Sharper: “Chapel has a table here. Syren getting up and now back on Sutter. But Melinda Braddock – she may be now the X-factor here at ringside. She’s brandishing a chair. And Lucas Knight now approaching Meghan Strader on the rampway.”
We see Meghan Strader stopped by Lucas Knight as Knight puts his hands out and Meghan goes to walk past him. Syren stomps away on Sutter as she then mounts him and nails him with a couple of hard shots. Chapel finishes setting up the table as we see Meghan now pointing at Lucas Knight, getting heated.
Meghan: “Do I need to know something around here? I’ve heard a number of people thinking she gets special treatment!”
Knight: “I’m just doing my job. Out here for something else, but I’m not going to let you just get a free shot. Whether it’s you or anyone else not involved in this match, love.”
Cameras cut back to the ring as Syren then grabs Sutter and pulls him up a bit. She then kicks him in the ribs and jumps up for the Golden Blonde, but Sutter holds her up and runs forward into the ropes. Melinda Braddock slams the steel chair into Syren’s back. The crowd ohs. Syren starts to fall, but Sutter pulls her in closer and backs up and swings her back before throwing her down with the Assassination onto a steel chair. The crowd ohs. Sutter rolls her over and hooks the leg.

Syren shoots her shoulder up. Sutter rolls over and looks around. Back at the rampway, we see Meghan and Lucas still arguing. Sutter slowly gets up.
Sharper: “Sutter planting Syren. The Assassination only getting two. The heart of the former seven time World Champion coming through. And maybe Clyde Sutter is wondering if fate is on Syren’s side!”
Sutter then turns and grabs Syren and drags her up and runs her over to the corner. He drives her face first into the top turnbuckle and then nails her again and again. Syren staggers out and Sutter turns and whips her into the ropes. Syren bounces off and Sutter scoops her up and goes for a tilt-a-whirl. She lands on her feet and then jumps up and hits a dropkick. Sutter falls through the ropes and to the apron. He grabs at the ropes and starts to pull himself up as Knight is joined by other officials who are trying to keep Meghan Strader away from the ring. Sutter gets up and Syren then hits a superkick, knocking him off the apron through the table set up by Chapel. The crowd roars.
Sharper: “And Syren! The superkick! Superkick! And Sutter through the table!”
Syren then looks around as she glances at Lucas Knight and the other officials dealing with Meghan. Syren then turns and grabs the top rope and vaults herself over the top and onto Sutter with a splash. The crowd roars. She stays on him for the pin.

Sutter throws his arm up. Syren rolls off. The crowd roars. The bell sounds.
Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Syren!”
Syren rolls off, wincing in pain. Melinda Braddock smacks her arm on the apron as Syren then slides into the ring. Meghan Strader is now on the stage, looking down at the ring, officials and Knight still trying to get her to the back. Syren steps up and looks at Meghan and smirking.
Syren: “What? Have a problem that people have got wise to you!”
Syren yells as she steps up.
Sharper: “Syren victorious, managing to get the three. Sutter won’t be happy. Strader definitely isn’t. But Syren and Lexy are thrilled!”
Syren continues to taunt Meghan as Meghan yells back at the ring. Officials keep trying to get Meghan to the back as the scene cuts away.
Backstage, we see a cameraman checking on his camera, as it appears to be damaged. We hear yelling.
Angelica: “Get that man out of here!”
Angelica Jones can be heard as we see Kimberly Williams slowly getting up.
Kim: “Cheeky little bastard…”
We then see WASLEY next to Kim.
Kim: “You see who did it WASLEY?”
Angelica turns back.
Angelica: “Stay down. They need to check on you-“
Kim: “Oh no…I’m fine-“
Kim staggers and leans against the wall.
Kim: “Been a while since I took a camera to the head.”
Kim winces. Angelica looks over to the camera.
Angelica: “And looks like they wanted to make sure no one saw it. Coward…”
Kim looks around as the camera pans over to WASLEY and the scene cuts away.

We cut to a shot of Steve Griffin hitting a top rope decimator on CHBK from Rise to Greatness 2003, before cutting to a shot of Alistaire Allocco proudly holding the SCW World Championship and then showing a shot of Kelcey Wallace, Trinity Street and Lucas Knight standing over Ravyn Taylor and Kennedy Street at another Rise to Greatness event. A shot of Kandis smiling as she looks at the World Championship in her hand follows.
“This is your Rise to Greatness Rewind.”
The scene opens up at Rise to Greatness 2009. Asher Hayes faces Nathan Kaye. Kaye grabs Hayes and lifts him up before spinning around and hitting the To the Birds. The crowd boos and Kaye falls back. He then rolls over and starts to slowly pull himself up. Hayes rolls over and holds his face before starting to stir.
Dawson: “To the Birds! Kaye hits the facebuster suplex!”
Knots: “And things look to be back in control and he’s setting him up. It could be time for the Sleeping Pills!”
Sharper: “He’s just stalking Hayes now!”
Hayes slowly starts to stir and Kaye then moves in and attempts to lock in the Sleeping Pills. The crowd roars in anticipation of the hold being locked in, but Hayes then pulls forward and causes Kaye to roll forward again. Kaye rolls forward and gets back up only for Hayes to kick him in the ribs before take him down with a front face lock into a cutter. He holds on and then rolls over and locks in the Dream Killer. The crowd erupts in cheers and Hayes pulls back as Kaye reaches around. The referee goes over and checks on Kaye. Kaye tries to fight it and reaches around as Hayes stands in the ring and yells out as he has the hold locked in on Kaye. The crowd continues to cheer loudly before Kaye finally taps on the arm of Kaye. The referee calls for the bell and the crowd cheers as Hayes lets go. Hayes then falls to his knees. The referee turns and is handed the SCW United States Championship belt and he turns and hands it to Hayes. Hayes looks at the belt and smiles before looking right at it.
Phillips: “Here is your winner and NEW SCW United States Champion, Asher Hayes!”
Sharper: “Asher Hayes has managed to add to his already impressive resume and is now the SCW United States Champion!”
Knots: “He managed to get some revenge for Kaye and gave him his challenge. I’ll give him props for that.”
Hayes slowly gets up and then holds the title over his head as the crowd cheers some more. Hayes walks around the ring and climbs up to the middle rope. He then gets up to the top and looks around before holding the title over his head. He then brings it down and hugs it before dropping down.
The Rise to Greatness XXII logo comes up on the screen.
We open up back in ringside as Adam Sharper stands in the ring.
Sharper: “Folks, we are getting closer and closer to Rise to Greatness XXII and last week, shockingly we saw someone we’ve not seen for some time in this ring help ensure justice was done and the interim SCW United States Championship returned to its rightful owner…”
Sharper looks around.
Sharper: “Fans, please allow me to formally welcome back…Deanna Frost!”
The crowd roars as the chords of “People Like Us” by Kelly Clarkson fill the arena, causing a roar from the audience as bright, fall leaves seem to blow and fly on the LED screens on and around the ramp. A few moments pass before Deanna Frost walks out from the back, joined by the members of Light in the Darkness, La Pequena Luz and Amelia Nevado. Deanna looks around as she turns to Luz and Amelia, who support her and stand a few strides behind her as Deanna heads to the ring. They reach the ring and Deanna Frost walks up the steel steps and into the ring. She then walks over and shakes Adam Sharper’s hand. She then backs up as Luz and Amelia remain on the floor. Deanna motions for them to enter the ring. They oblige. The music fades out.
Sharper: “Deanna…first off, welcome back.”
The crowd cheers.
Sharper: “I have to ask – how are you feeling?”
Deanna looks around as she nods.
Deanna: “I’m…I’m okay. It’s still tough some days, but I am happy to be back in this ring.”
The crowd cheers.
Deanna: “And I’m happy that I was able to make sure a wrong was not going to get dragged again. And for that, Luz, thank you. You were named the interim US Champion when I needed to get help…and you proved as we all knew you were a champion in every sense of the world.”
Luz nods.
Deanna: “And I thank you for being out here with me. A few things still…still get me to question things, but I have many more good days than bad.”
Deanna looks around as the crowd roars.
Sharper: “Well I won’t dwell there, instead, I have to ask this question…Deanna Frost, are you cleared to return to action?”
Deanna looks down and nods. The crowd cheers a bit.
Deanna: “Adam…I am cleared to return and I am ready to return to action!”
The crowd roars. Sharper goes to speak, but then, the opening riff to "Song for the Dead" by Queens of the Stone Age kicks in. At the 37 second mark, the name "Asher Hayes" blares through the PA system, and Asher appears on the stage, holding his interim SCW United States Championship. Deanna turns to the ring as does Luz and Amelia. Sharper turns to the ring too.
Sharper: “Fans, the SCW interim US Champion, Asher Hayes!”
Asher Hayes walks down the rampway to the ring. He looks up in the ring and Luz and Amelia step up. Hayes walks to the ring and asks if he can step inside. Deanna nods as Luz and Amelia turn back. Hayes then walks up the steel steps. He walks along the apron and then steps into the ring. He walks forward.
Sharper: “Asher…welcome. I wasn’t expecting you.”
Hayes leans over as Sharper extends the microphone to him.
Hayes: “I think it’s safe to say we know why I’m out here. But first…”
Hayes looks at Deanna.
Hayes: “Thank you.”
Hayes continues to look at Deanna.
Hayes: “Thank you. And thank you Luz. I hope that the next time this title is not in my hands it’s because I’ve been defeated in a sanctioned match. And that leads us to this moment now.”
Sharper: “That would be correct. Per SCW rules, when a champion is forced to go on a leave of absence and an interim champion is named, at the earliest moment they can, they shall meet to unify the two titles. And my guess that is why you are here.”
Hayes nods. Deanna then leans in.
Deanna: “I need to interject here. I did not do this or return just to do that and…I need to say at this point. Luz has never gotten her rematch and she’s been here every week. She deserves the opportunity first.”
Luz looks at Deanna and shakes her head.
Luz: “Deanna…you should have this. The unification match is far more important. And as I said back when I was handed the title, I always wanted to face you for the title and earn it that way.”
Hayes: “That’s easy to solve. I’m ready to face anyone I need to to get this right and get what I want out of this. And that’s the end of this farce of the interim tag.”
CHBK is seen walking down the rampway to the ring as Hayes speaks. The crowd cheers a bit.
Sharper: “I think we may have an answer. Folks, the SCW’s COO, the Canadian Heartbreak Kid, Alex Desoubrais!”
Sharper turns as CHBK walks up the steel steps and enters the ring. He walks over as Sharper extends the microphone to him.
CHBK: “Thank you Adam. I think I can solve this problem. The fact is that thanks to the efforts of Jordan Majors, things were derailed again. And while SCW bylaws require the unification match to take place as soon as possible, nothing says it can’t involve other people. And I think that offers our solution. So at Rise to Greatness-“
???: “Hello! HELLO! There’s someone else here who deserves a rematch?!”
The crowd boos as Jordan Majors walks out from the back. CHBK just shakes his head as Hayes turns and glares at Majors.
Majors: “We solved nothing last week before I was assaulted and robbed by that woman right there! Someone just visited and-“:
CHBK: “Cut her mic! Just cut it. I’m not in the mood to listen to this.”
Majors: “Hey! You can’t sil-“
Majors’s microphone does go out.
CHBK: “Thank you.”
Majors keeps yelling into the microphone before looking around as Hayes smirks and waves at her.
CHBK: “Now, as I was saying…I think Rise to Greatness would be the perfect opportunity to resolve all of this.”
The crowd roars.
CHBK: “And Asher Hayes…Deanna Frost…you both obviously are in there and La Pequena Luz…it’s taken far too long, but I agree. You deserve your rematch. And if there’s no problem, I think we make this a triple threat.”
The crowd roars. Luz looks at Hayes and Frost as Hayes nods. Majors just watches, rolling her eyes, and shaking her head while pacing on the stage.
Hayes: “Do it.”
Deanna: “I…I have a problem.”
Luz looks at Deanna a bit confused.
Deanna: “Not about Luz. Sorry…but I think there is someone else who should be in the match. And it’s not because they deserve it. But because it’s the only way they may either earn it or be forced to do things properly.”
Deanna turns to the stage.
CHBK: “Are you sure…”
Deanna: “Asher, Luz, they’ve put you both through hell and while you got a win at Taking Hold of the Flame, nothing was learned, right? Well, if she’s really the true US Champion, really the Star of Today…she can beat three former US Champions and I’ll even carry her out on her throne if she does! And in the process, we all can take out a bit of frustrations over an arrogant jackass who will be exposed!”
The crowd roars.
Hayes: “I damn sure want another shot at her and this time to give her a wrestling lesson she damn well deserves!”
Luz: “I’m in. I’m in after everything.”
Majors laughs. She then motions for the belt.
CHBK: “Well, then, in that case, at Rise to Greatness – La Pequena Luz, Asher Hayes, Deanna Frost…and Jordan Majors will meet to determine the unified SCW United States Champion!”
The crowd roars.
Sharper: “There you have it. A huge US Title match.”
“This is How a Heart Breaks” plays as CHBK turns and exits the ring. Deanna turns to Hayes and the two talk briefly as Luz comes in. Amelia stands off to the side as Majors keeps motioning for the belt. CHBK looks at her and ignores her as he walks to the back .Majors smirks and heads to the back. Hayes exits the ring and drops down and Deanna starts to. Luz remains in the ring as Amelia turns to her. Deanna looks up and Luz motions to Amelia. Amelia exits the ring, joining Deanna and heading to the ring with her. The scene cuts away.

Backstage, we see Ravyn Taylor, Syren, and Lexy Chapel talking backstage.
Chapel: “That was perfect. Amazing. Stupendous and-“
Ravyn: “Lexy is right. That went well. Almost too well.”
Syren: “We didn’t need to use any of our backup plans. So that’s good. Keep that under wraps.”
Chapel: “Shhh! We don’t need to-“
Syren: “I don’t care. I want her thinking twice if she comes for me. Same for Kim-“
Ravyn: “With Kim, someone else got her. And for once, it wasn’t me. I was a bit sad. I was ready to back you up.
Chapel: “Too bad more people don’t carry holy water around against you.”
Syren: “Either way, next is making sure Meghan Strader lives to regret starting this war with me two months ago. She wants to be World Champion. She’s going to have to go through me!”
The crowd roars as the scene cuts away.
La Pequena Luz vs. Ryan LeCavalier
We return to the ring where La Pequena Luz remains. She stretches out.
Sharper: “Welcome back to ringside. La Pequena Luz electing to stay in the ring after our previous segment. About to do battle with Ryan LeCavalier.”
Knight: “She has to now switch gears to this and trust me, LeCavalier is as driven as they come. She has a plan in her head and she’s not going to be swayed from it easily. Every win is required; every loss is personal.”
The
arena is quiet, with a palpable sense of expectancy in the air as the lights go
off. An ethereal blue glow is projected onto the entry ramp by a lone
floodlight that breaks through the darkness. The crowd trembles with eagerness
as L'Impératrice's "A View to a Kill" pulsates synthesizers burst the
stillness.
A silhouette appears out of the darkness, clad in a shimmering silver cloak
that seems to both reflect and absorb the light. The coat flutters about her as
she moves, giving her enticing peeks of the wrestling gear in silver and black
underneath. Her face is hidden behind a mask of steely resolve, framed by the
hood.
Phillips:
“The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a twenty minute time
limit. First, on her way to the ring, from Miami, Florida, she is the Lost
Monarch, Ryan LeCavalier. Her opponent, already in the ring, from Tulancingo,
Hidalgo, Mexico, she is La Pequena Luz!”
The moment Ryan LeCavalier, as "The Lost Monarch," removes her hood
and shows off her icy-focused eyes, the audience screams. At the top of the
ramp, she stops and looks out over the crowd like a queen assessing her
subjects. She steps down into the ring and gracefully makes her way to the
turnbuckle, removing her cloak like a snake might remove its skin. With her
eyes fixed on her opponent, she slides into her mouthguard, completing her
transformation. The arena is bustling with the unsaid promise of a great battle
to come, and the air is crackling with suspense.
Sharper: “LeCavalier ready to go as you said, Lucas.”
Knight: “The question is whether Glory Braddock will be a factor here after last week.”
Sharper: “LeCavalier waiting until after Glory Braddock had defeated Amelia Nevado. And just a thought – Nevado defeated LeCavalier a few weeks ago, so that may have also been the catalyst, not just a desire to attack Braddock.”
The bell sounds. Luz and Ryan circle the ring and then lock up in the middle. Ryan drops down and around Luz into a waistlock. She hoists Luz up and drops her to the mat with a waistlock takedown. She spins through into a front face lock. Luz turns and spins out of it and gets free. Both get up and Ryan grabs the arm of Luz and wrenches it. Luz reaches up and flips forward and then backflips before nipping up and wrenching LeCavalier. LeCavalier winces as she moves to the ropes. She then grabs the top rope and backflips through and forearms Luz in the jaw.
Sharper: “And LeCavalier using the ropes to her advantage there.”
Knight: “Use what you can and even got it in before the break would be enforced.”
Ryan forearms her again and this time goes for the leg, hitting a single leg takedown. She then pulls at the leg of Luz and kicks her in the back of the knee. Luz rolls over to her stomach and then pushes up and flips forward. Ryan slips off, falling into the ropes. She gets up and Luz grabs her in a waistlock. Ryan spins through into a standing switch. She runs Luz forward and into an Okana roll, but Luz holds onto the ropes. Ryan rolls back. Both turn around and Luz runs at Ryan and hits an overhead chop to the chest of LeCavalier. She then hits another. She goes to whip Ryan across, but Ryan ducks under and pulls LeCavalier into a small package.

Ryan then jumps to the middle rope and catches Luz with a knee. Luz falls back and onto the apron. The crowd ohs.
Knight: “That was a knee!”
Sharper: “Right to the jaw and Luz barely hanging on!”
Ryan then backs up and spins around. She then runs at Luz, but Luz shoulders her in the ribs. Ryan bends over and Luz somersaults over the top rope and lands on her feet. Ryan turns and Luz hits a back kick and then a jumping enziguri kick, knocking Ryan back into the corner. Luz then grabs her and snapmares her over. Luz pulls herself to the middle turnbuckle. Luz rolls through. She pops up and runs at LeCavalier who lifts her up to back drop her, but then pulls her back down into a kick to the gut. Luz staggers back. LeCavalier then runs out with a running high knee, knocking her down.
Sharper: “And LeCavalier. The knee after burying a kick to the stomach.”
Knight: “You think you’re going to the floor. You prepare for it and LeCavalier switched it up and Luz had no clue where the offense was coming from.”
Luz rolls over and starts to get up. LeCavalier runs into the ropes. She bounces off and slides under Luz’s arm and then pops up and grabs Luz and hits a snap dragon suplex. Luz rolls through. LeCavalier gets up and hits a straight kick to the jaw. Luz falls back. LeCavalier goes for the pin.

Knight: “Beautiful!”
Luz stays on LeCavalier for the pin.

LeCavalier runs at Luz and Luz lowers her head and goes for a back drop. LeCavalier spins through to the apron. Luz then turns around and LeCavalier grabs Luz and hits a guillotine drop. Luz pops up and then staggers back and then forward. LeCavalier pulls her through the ropes and then hooks her up, stepping forward before hitting the Ephemeris. The crowd ohs as Luz lays on the apron. Ryan winces a bit and grabs at the ropes, using them to pull herself back up.
Sharper: “Ryan LeCavalier suplexing Luz onto the apron.”
Knight: “Not just damaging to Luz, but a good breather for LeCavalier. An opening for her to decide what she wants to do next. To do some reconsideration of the strategy.”
LeCavalier pulls herself up and looks around. She then steps into the ring and grabs Luz and drags her into the ring, under the bottom rope, by the arm. She then rolls her over and goes for the Body/Prison! She locks it in as the crowd erupts. Luz reaches out as LeCavalier pulls back on the arm. Luz keeps struggling as LeCavalier smiles. The crowd roars as we see Glory Braddock walking down to the ring. Luz keeps fighting as LeCavalier turns and sees Braddock. She then starts to slide Luz over into position so she can look at Braddock as she reaches the ring. But in the process, Luz gets just free enough and rolls over, rolling LeCavalier through. LeCavalier holds on, but Luz ends up in the ropes.

LeCavalier falls back to the ropes. She turns and lunges at Luz who ducks and jumps up and hits the Lights Out. Luz then turns and moves to the corner. Glory just smiles as Luz climbs up to the top rope.
Sharper: “Luz planting LeCavalier! LeCavalier had Luz, but she focused on Braddock! And now! To the top!”
Knight: “Huge mistake by Ryan LeCavalier. She’s trying too hard to prove herself to everyone!”
Sharper: “Ilumina la Noche!”
Luz then dives off and hits the Ilumina la Noche. The crowd roars. Luz hooks the leg.

The bell sounds. Luz rolls off. She stretches out her arm and winces a bit as she does. Glory Braddock just looks at LeCavalier, continuing to just smirk before turning and heading to the back.
Sharper: “LeCavalier had the Body/Prison in. She took issue with Glory using her hold last week. Tonight, she turned Luz to try and send a message to Braddock, but it let Luz get the opening to get out!”
Knight: “And then finish her off. LeCavalier, when she realizes, she’s just lost to both members of the Light in the Darkness in singles action!”
Sharper: “And for Luz, not a bad reminder of what she’s capable of – winning tonight against the driven competitor, heading into that just announced fatal four way for the US Title at Rise to Greatness!”
Luz has her arm raised before pulling away as the scene cuts to black.
Just then, after several seconds, we open up with a shot of a person, covered entirely by a black sheet and placed onto a chair. We hear the sound of a muffled voice. We then see three people stand behind the figure, dressed all in black, wearing ninja hoods, eye wide. We then see a fourth person step up to the camera.
???: “If you want to precious replacement actress, you will listen to use carefully. Hollywood cannot resist us. We want ten million dollars in non-sequential bills, a chopper, and for the Dependables…to BREAK UP.”
The man starts to laugh.
???: “Because if not…you will be DESTROYED….by THEM!”
We then start to hear the four men starting to laugh maniacally. They keep laughing, getting louder and louder before the scene abruptly ends. Cut to black.

The camera cuts backstage to see Ryan LeCavalier clearly annoyed as she storms through the backstage area. She walks past the camera and then continues down the hallway. She says nothing as she continues to storm down the hallway. She then turns down a hallway. After only a brief moment, we then see Waylon Creek walking past the camera. He then continues to walk down the hallway. He takes a few steps before we then hear the equivalent of a war cry as we see Amy Chastaine running up behind Waylon Creek and nailing him in the back with a chair. The crowd roars. Creek falls to a knee. Amy then lifts the chair and slams it into his back. Creek goes down as Amy throws the chair down into his back. Waylon Creek lets out an annoyed grunt as he turns.
Chastaine: “Didn’t forget about me? Turns out I don’t care for being thrown off a stage! Oh and I don’t care for being jumped! How does it feel, huh?”
The crowd roars as Amy Chastaine looks at Waylon Creek as he slowly starts to pull himself up and grimaces in pain as Amy Chastaine storms off.
Konrad Raab vs. Veil
Feuer
Frei by Rammstein plays over the sound system as Konrad comes out through the
curtain with his flanged German mace and the blowtorch with him, acting erratic
with an angry look on his face, rising the flanged German mace and the
blowtorch in the air, wearing red and black skull face paint on the right side
of his face with a red and black suit hoodie over his head he wears with
pieces of flame blood designed all over them. He also has a penguin, walrus and
a polar bear stitching on the left-hand side of his chest on his gear,
stating Stop Climate Change and has NASCAR Xfinity Series and Kaulig Racing
logo stitching on the right hand side of his chest on his gear. He also
wears black boots along with Red and Black Gloves on his hands. Ginny Raab
walks out behind him. Raab crouches down on the floor with the flanged German
mace and the blowtorch in front of him, looking at the ring with evil
intentions.
Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a fifteen
minute time limit. First, from Cologne, Germany, accompanied by Ginny Raab, he
is Burned in Blood, Konrad Raab!”
After the announcement, Konrad picks up his flanged German mace and the
blowtorch and slowly walks to the ring with a massive amount of boos.
Konrad runs up the steps and goes underneath the ropes, while Ginny walks up
the stairs and gets in the ring with Konrad. As he's in the ring, Konrad,
without showing any sign of acknowledgement from the fans, lays
the flanged German mace on the turnbuckle, then sits in the corner of
the ring with the crowd booing him, having a nasty look in his eyes, flicking
his fists as if he's already ready to fight, with Ginny
taking Konrad's flanged German mace and his blowtorch away, waiting
for the match to start as he takes his hoodie off from his head as Ginny
leaves the ring and goes backstage.
Sharper: “Konrad Raab here this week. Last week, he was at a race while the EFN was a partial target of an ambush by the Product and Josh Hudson.”
Knight: “All to go after the Connection. Raab here and we’ve seen he’s fired up. There’s a bit of history here too.”
Sharper: “Veil when he went by the name The Enigma and Konrad Raab were involved in a few battles to say the least.”
The lights dim slowly. One light at a time. Like the whole building is giving up. The crowd gets quiet. A low, eerie sound starts over the speakers. “The Host of Seraphim” begins to play.
Phillips: “His opponent, this is Veil!”
Soft voices rise up—not words, just sounds. Like ghosts singing from far away.
Slow. Sad. Heavy.
The tron doesn’t show highlights or action.
It shows a spiral, barely moving, turning backwards.
Mist starts to crawl from the entrance.
It stays low to the ground, almost like it’s afraid to rise.
It’s not thick. It’s not fast. It’s slow, like smoke under water.
Then, Veil steps through it.
No fireworks. No lasers. No flashing lights.
No big poses.
Just him.
Barefoot.
Slow.
Arms at his sides.
He doesn’t make eye contact with the crowd.
He doesn’t play to the cameras.
He just walks.
Every step is heavy, like the ground almost sinks under him.
His face is pale. His eyes are wide open but dead still—like he’s looking
straight through everything. As he walks, the mist behind him spreads out
across the stage and the ramp, almost like it’s following him, drawn to him.
The song gets a little louder.
The voices rise higher—not screaming, just crying.
Mourning something nobody can name.
The spiral on the screen behind him turns slower and slower, almost stopping.
Veil reaches the ring. He doesn’t look around. He steps up onto the apron, slow
and steady, and then steps between the ropes. He walks straight to the middle
of the ring. There, he stops. He crouches down. He places one open hand flat on
the mat. He lowers his head. He whispers something no one can hear. The spiral
on the tron behind him flashes once—then fades out into black. The mist in the
ring sinks low. The music fades. The lights stay dim, just enough to see him.
Veil stands there. Waiting. Still. Silent.
Sharper: “And Veil not the Adrenaline Champion, but still, got several good shots on Dexter Grant. Grant more surviving to say the least.”
Knight: “I don’t know what to think. Is he happy with that result? Disappointed? And then there’s the issue of Deanna Frost returning? Is that another aspect to all of this.”
Sharper: “Not if SCW officials are concerned.”
Knight: “I’d agree, but Veil has shown his willingness to use mind games. Outside of shutting him down entirely, how do you prevent the psychological warfare?”
The bell sounds as Raab looks at Veil. Veil remains just standing in the ring, unmoving. Raab looks around and then walks up to Veil and nails him with a hard right. Veil staggers. Raab punches him again before hitting a European uppercut. He falls back into the corner. Raab hits another European uppercut on Veil. He looks at him before then starting to fire off with more uppercuts.

Raab’s knees buckle and he falls to his hands and knees. Veil then drives a double axe handle smash to Raab’s back. Raab rolls over.
Sharper: “And Veil with three hard shots and each one just dropping Raab.”
Knight: “The definition of purposeful offense.”
Raab starts to get up and Veil grabs him and starts to push back on his face and eyes. Raab leans back to the ropes. The official goes to count, but Veil nails Raab with a couple of hard shots to the ribs. He then grabs Raab and hip throws him down. Raab rolls through. He gets up and Veil walks over and Raab hoists him up and drops him throat first onto the top rope. Veil falls back and to the mat. He slowly rolls over, starting to get up. Raab watches him and hits a dropkick. Veil hits the mat. Raab gets up and pushes him down before jumping up and hitting a leg drop. He goes for the pin.

Knight: “Add the weight down onto the head and neck. Is he intentionally trying to injure people? Goes against the entire code of professional wrestling!”
Raab starts to get up and Veil clubs him in the back again and then again before placing Raab on the middle rope. He starts to push down on Raab’s head, choking him with the middle rope.

He then spins around and Veil hoists Raab up and hits a spinebuster. Veil then steps over and stands over Raab. He then nails him with a hard right and then another and another. Raab rolls over as Veil then grabs him and starts to lock in a modified cobra clutch. Raab grabs at Veil’s arms as Veil tries to turn him over and tighten the hold by jerking him around. Raab struggles as Veil keeps the hold locked in.
Sharper: “Raab…struggling here as Veil. Almost a modified cobra clutch.”
Knight: “Looks like half choke, half arm lock, but Raab can’t seem to get out for now. He’s going to have to figure this out if he wants to avoid going down to it!”
Veil keeps trying and Raab manages to run him back into the corner. Veil holds on and Konrad staggers forward and then turns and rams him into another corner. He then staggers out before managing to pull Veil forward and flip him forward, causing the hold to finally be released. Konrad takes a moment to catch his breath as Veil slowly gets up and Konrad cuffs him with a European uppercut. Veil turns and Konrad grabs his arms and then hoists him up before then dropping him with the Burn-Blooded Killer. The crowd ohs. Konrad turns and hooks the leg.

The bell sounds. Raab rolls off. He then looks at Veil who remains down in a heap. Raab gets up, his arm raised. The crowd boos as Raab looks around.
Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Konrad Raab!”
Sharper: “And Raab planting Veil for good measure. He gets the three count. And Raab with a big win here on Breakdown.”
Knight: “And Veil is just in a heap. I’d hope this may be the end of him, but he’s such an odd individual…”
Sharper: “No doubt there. You wonder if Konrad Raab was using his recent rage, towards Tommy Valentine, Josh Hudson, to power him through this one.”
Raab turns and looks back at Veil before then stepping through the ropes to the floor. He heads to the back.
Sharper: “Let’s now go backstage where Jaina Lancaster is with the SCW Underground Champion.”
Backstage, we see Jaina Lancaster at the SCW interview area. Colleen MacDonald, holding her Underground Championship, stands next to her.
Jaina: “Thank you Adam. I’m here with Colleen MacDonald, the SCW Underground Champion and Colleen, you asked for some time tonight. I know you wanted it in the ring, but thanks to the efforts of others-“
Colleen: “Honestly – this may be better with less time. Because I don’t want a show, I don’t want this overdone. I just want to say this bluntly. I faced someone who didn’t respect me and earned their respect by retaining this title. I fought someone who I still don’t respect to win this title. And then I was treated as a joke and as a method for advertisement claiming it represented the Underground. I am not a joke. And I am sick of a lack of respect, even if I may now have it with Kim.”
Colleen looks at the camera.
Colleen: “I hear someone wants a challenge. Someone wants someone to come at them. Someone to bring them a fight. Well, while some may say this has to do with Polly…she can fight her own fights and she’s fighting one of her own right now. This is one hundred percent me. People around here talk about this man and what he’s done outside of SCW. I want to taste it in the ring myself, so Enigma…the ball is in your court. I’m ready for a fight! And it’s won’t be ANY joke!”
Colleen looks at the camera as the scene slowly fades to black.

The scene opens up with a shot of the Rise to Greatness logo as we see “38 Days Away” underneath. The logo remains on the screen for several moments before fading to black.
Chris Cannon vs. Billy Heaven Jr.
The
lights go out with a flick of a switch plunging the arena into complete
darkness. A few fan’s flashes can be seen going off and as they do the haunting
opening to Paint it Black by Hidden Citizens begins to play over the P.A
System. While it does CHRIS CANNON appears on the big screen, and the moment it
does a spotlight shines down directly to the stage where the man stands. The
light comes back on next when the lyrics begin and we see Chris Cannon is not
alone. A brunette stands with him while he wears a sleeveless trench coat. His
long dark hair hanging down over his face…
Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall with a twenty minute
time limit. First, hailing from London England. He is being accompanied to the
ring by Yvonne Knight, he is Chris CANNON!!!
The moment Phillips finishes, Cannon begins the slow walk down towards the
ring. From what it looks like his eyes focused on the ring in front of him.
Yvonne walks behind him smiling and waves to a few fans. Chris does not
acknowledge them. Instead when he reaches the bottom of the ramp he stops for a
moment before throwing his head back so the hair no longer obscures his face a
look of pure intensity and focus on display. He quickly leaps onto the apron
and enters the ring while Yvonne stands at the bottom of the ramp. Cannon walks
over to a corner and climbs onto the 2nd rope and looks out at the crowd and
hits his chest as a final acknowledgement to them.
He then steps down and walks to the opposite side and does the same once more
before removing his jacket and handing it to a member of staff. Chris then
looks down to Yvonne who blows him a kiss as she now walks around the ring
towards the announcing area, seeing her brother, Lucas, and takes a seat there
to the side to watch the match unfold. Cannon steps down and grabs the top rope
and pulls at it and then proceeds to warm up in the ring before the bell.
Sharper: “Chris Cannon about to have his return match and look who is out with him. Yvonne Knight, your sister, Lucas.”
Lucas: “Yes, interesting. Hi sis…”
Yvonne: “Hello. I hope we can be professional.”
Lucas: “No qualms from me.”
Sharper notices some of the tension as we cut back to the entrance way.
Do it
baby! Do what I should think!
Do it-do it baby, do what I could think!
The opening polyphonic strokes of Tommy Richman’s “Million Dollar Baby” hit the
PA, and the crowd immediately turns to boos. The stage lights intensify in
brightness. Through the light, we can see the outline of an emerging
competitor.
Phillips: “And his opponent, from Los Angeles, California, he is Billy Heaven
Jr.!”
I AIN’T EVER REP A SET BABY!
A two-step through the light and into the ramp, Billy Heaven pops onto the
scene in his wrestling gear, a very large pair of sunglasses on his face.
I AIN’T DO NO WRONG!
A shimmy and a hard stop.
I COULD CLEAN UP GOOD FOR YA! OH I KNOW RIGHT FROM WRONG!
A sharp three-hundred degree pivot on the ball of his foot, a crisp landing in
a split-legged stance, left hand pointing to the sky.
‘CAUSE I WANNA MAKE IT, SO BADLY!
A sharp return of his upward pointed hand into an intense pump, thrust, and
strut forward.
I’M A MILLION DOLLA BAYBAY, DON’T AT ME!
And with that said, Billy Heaven Jr. obnoxiously smiles pointing to the crowd
as he makes his way down to the ring. He reaches to the ringside area and goes
over to one specific individual, a man with several pages of hand-written
notes, paper everywhere. Heaven walks over and high fives him before handing
him an envelope. Heaven Jr. nods and turns before he rolls under the bottom
rope, outstretched arms to receive his less than warm ovation, but it does not
seem to register. He takes the sunglasses off and sets them on the top
turnbuckle before standing on the second rope, leg over the top, bringing his
hands together in a prayer. “Million Dollar Baby” dies out.
Sharper: “Billy Heaven Jr. arriving to the ring. He’s been more of a thorn in the side of Syren, but tonight, he’s in action.”
Lucas: “Good to see he’s trying to get good press.”
Yvonne: “Is that who I think he is?”
Lucas: “Yep.”
Yvonne: “Never seen him in person.”
Sharper: “Don’t be surprised if there’s a favourable review for Billy in the Sports Entertainment Viewer this weekend!”
The bell sounds. Billy Heaven Jr. then claps his hands and points to Cannon to come to him. Cannon looks around and then shrugs and walks over to Billy. Billy then rubs his hands together and lunges for a collar and elbow tie-up. Cannon obliges. The two push back on one another and Cannon then suddenly drops down and hits an arm drag. Billy rolls through and gets up and turns around and Cannon hits another deep arm drag. Billy rolls through and gets up and Cannon jumps up and hits a dropkick. Billy rolls over and moves to the corner. Cannon walks over and chops him. The crowd woos. He chops him again. More wos.
Billy: “Hey! Stop! I need to look my be-“
Cannon then forearms him in the jaw. He then whips him across the ring. Billy staggers out of the corner and Cannon hits a clothesline.
Sharper: “Cannon not going to really slow down here.”
Lucas: “Don’t blame him. Billy Jr, I’ll flat out say it, the man is annoying to be blunt.”
Yvonne: “You don’t know the half of it. How did that video of his of Syren play?”
Lucas: “Same way he gets Deltzer to write wonders of him. The almighty dollar.”
Billy turns and gets up and Cannon hooks him up and hits a vertical suplex. He holds on and swivels his hips getting back up. He then quickly hits a snap suplex. Chance Owens vs. Crystal Zdunich
The
entire arena fades to black as we are left in nothing but darkness. All of a
sudden Crystal's voice can be heard all throughout the speaker systems.
"YOUR SMILE MAKES MY HEART EXPLODE... THANK YOU FOR WAKING ME UP!!!!"
As soon as that is said explosions can be heard going off as we are treated to
some flame pyros.
Smile Bomb by 17thekid plays across the speakers and it is at that moment when
the crimson red haired "Burning Rose" Crystal Zdunich walks from the
curtains. She heads to the ring.
Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall with a ten minute time limit. First, on her way to the ring, from Hollywood, California, she is the Burning Rose, Crystal Zdunich!”
Crystal is focused as she walks to the ring with a purpose. She however slaps the outstretched hands of fans along the way. She runs up the stairs and walks to the middle of the apron. She flicks her hair before she drops down into a split that gains the pop of the entire crowd. She slides into the ring and as soon as she is inside she kips up to her feet. She tosses her Shoto inspired hoodie out of the ring as she awaits the start of the match.
Sharper: “Crystal Zdunich about to be in action. Looking to maybe surprise some people. She has had success in the past in SCW. Just needs to get it clicking.”
Knight: “She still can go. Has the agility. Seems to be in good health. It’s just a matter sometimes of things breaking the right way. You focus on a match at a time. Build that momentum.”
The
arena plunges into darkness and a strange noise is heard… It’s almost like it’s
a mix of a guitar and a helicopter’s rotor. A mid-tempo drum beat starts up,
quickly followed by a rhythmic bass line. Then a VERY familiar voice can be
heard.
Enter the arena and hit the lights
Step up now you're in for a ride
this is war, ain't no fun and games
we get it up, you go down in flames
Jagged green lights play across the screen and the stage as a voice that can
only belong to the one and only Dave Mustaine growls the lyrics to "Crush
'Em". Spotlights move around near the entranceway and one of them catches
someone's right arm in its beam.
Party time, going down
you better not mess us around
the stakes are rich, take a hit or stay
the price is high, someone's gonna pay
The spotlights are still moving around on the stage as the lights on the screen
start forming a pattern. One of the moving spotlights dances across someone's
left leg.
Heads I win, tails you lose
out of my way I'm coming through
roll the dice don't think twice
and we crush, crush 'em
The lights on the screen settle into a final configuration spelling out the
name "Chance Owens". The person in question comes out to stand on the
stage under some of the spotlights. Chance shields his eyes for a moment before
turning to his left and beckoning to someone. Kelsai Adamson comes from the
back to stand beside her partner and nods before pointing to the ring.
Phillips: “Her opponent, from Denver, Colorado, accompanied by Kelsai Adamson, he is the Roadblock, Chance Owens!”
Chance nods before heading down the ramp toward the ring, the lights catching the tiny white stones on his forest green fighter's gloves. The crowd cheers and they smile as they touch the hands reaching out to them. Young children are the most eager and Chance is only too happy to oblige them. Once they reach ringside, Kelsai moves off to the side and Chance ascends the steps so he can enter the ring, wiping the soles of his boots on the outside as he does so.
Sharper: “Chance Owens returning at Taking Hold of the Flame. Kelsai Adamson as well. Chance lost it a bit and attacked Clyde Sutter.”
Knight: “I know what he’s been through. You try to break through. There’s an established order ahead of you and if it’s not coming, you worry people define you and I don’t think Sutter helped much by claiming fate was the reason for Owens’s troubles.”
The bell sounds. Zdunich then runs over to Owens and nails him with a hard forearm and then another and another. She goes to whip him across the ring, but Owens plants his feet and pulls her into the ropes. She bounces off and Owen goes to grab her, but Zdunich hops up and onto his shoulders, sitting on them in an electric chair. Owens turns, trying to grab at the head of Zdunich, but Zdunich counters with a victory roll.

Owens kicks out. Both get up and Zdunich jumps up and spins through and into a float over arm drag. Owens rolls through and into the corner. Zdunich then runs over and climbs up to the middle rope. She nails him with a couple of shots before Owen shoves her off. She rolls through and pops up and runs at Owens, but Owen elbows her in the jaw. He then kicks her in the ribs and elbows her in the back of the head.
Sharper: “Zdunich quite aggressive. Hoping to catch Owens, who hasn’t competed in singles action in over a year, off guard.”
Knight: “Worked for a moment, but that moment may be fleeting, Sharper!”
Zdunich staggers and Owens clubs her in the back. He then spins her around and shoulders her in the ribs once and then again. He turns and whips her across the ring. Zdunich hits the opposite corner. Owens walks across the ring and grabs her and scoops her up and slams her down. Zdunich grimaces and starts to get up. Owens whips her into the ropes. Zdunich bounces off and Owens scoops her up, but Zdunich spins around and lands behind him. Owens turns and Zdunich hits a Flashing Lights. Owens staggers back and Zdunich hits an enziguri kick. Sharper: “Another quick counter. Owens shaking off the agility of Zdunich.”
Knight: “She’s trying to cut as much distance to keep the attack. Owens is now able to shrug her off and is being decisive. That’s keeping Zdunich from being able to keep the momentum going.”
Zdunich rolls over, holding her back and Owens gets up and grabs her and swings through into a neckbreaker. He goes for the pin.

Sharper: “Owens got a two. The Brake Check…also a check on whether Zdunich had much left. Able to get that shoulder up.”
Knight: “It’s also one of those moves that just hurt in a sneaky way. You’re expecting one thing and then bam.”
Owens gets up as Zdunich stirs. Owens grabs her and goes to throw her into the corner. Zdunich however blocks it and kicks him in the ribs. He staggers back and Zdunich turns and runs at him and he scoops her up again, but she this time hits a DDT. Owens rolls over to his back. Zdunich turns and then springboards to the top rope and hits a huge moonsault. The crowd ohs. Zdunich hooks the leg.

Owens kicks out. Zdunich rolls off. Owens crawls to the ropes and starts to get up. Zdunich then waits before Owens turns. She goes for a hard right, but Owens ducks and catches her before hoisting her up and hitting a full nelson slam. Zdunich rolls over in pain.
Sharper: “And Zdunich stopped again. This time with a vicious full nelson slam.”
Knight: “Beautifully done. Just hoisting her up and making sure that Zdunich landed full impact. Zdunich keeps coming back and keeps finding holes, but Owens fighting counters when it counts.”
Zdunich turns and starts to get up as Chance Owens watches for her and then hits the Check Stop as she gets up. He then grabs her by the legs and turns her over into the Dead End! Kelsai applauds as Owens leans back. Zdunich yells in pain as Owens keeps the hold on. The official checks on Zdunich before starts to tap out. The crowd roars. The bell sounds. Owens lets go of the hold.
Phillips: “Here is your winner, via submission, Chance Owens!”
Owens walks around the ring as Kelsai Adamson jumps onto the apron and enters after. She raises his arm as the crowd cheers him. Owens looks around and smiles as he then embraces Kelsai and the two kiss. He then backs up and looks around as Zdunich rolls to the ropes, holding her lower back. Owens and Adamson move to the ropes and Owens steps through. He helps Adamson down before starting to head to the back.
Sharper: “Owens with another big win. This is a trend. Returning stars coming back and showing they’re looking as good as ever. Owens, Cannon, Pryce…”
Knight: “If anyone’s complacent, they better be ready. A lot of new faces looking to push their way into some spots.”
They make it about halfway before we see Zdunich on the floor. She lets out a yell as she then turns and runs over and kicks the top half of the steel steps. She kicks them a second time and they bowl over. She then turns and snaps at a fan before let out another yell again.
Knight: “And Zdunich, the frustrations boiling over. Just like we saw with Polly Pingotti…Zdunich may be even more precarious. She’s on the cusp.”
Owens and Adamson turn back, seeing Zdunich as she now storms over to the announce table, throwing the top of it off and letting out another yell. The crowd however roars as we see Clyde Sutter and Melinda Braddock running out from the back. Sutter runs over and Owens turns only for Sutter to drill him with the clothesline from hell. The crowd ohs as Owens rolls over, holding his head and neck in pain.
Sharper: “Sutter! The Assassin of Fate – damn near took Owens’s head off!”
Knight: “And the hard landing on the steel.”
Kelsai then turns and goes to grab at Sutter, but Melinda grabs Kelsai and pulls her back. Kelsai shoves her back. Melinda slowly gets up and shakes her head. Kelsai goes for hard right, but Melinda blocks it. She then shoves the arm towards Sutter who pulls her in and hits the Assassination on the rampway. The crowd ohs.
Sharper: “No! No!”
Knight: “Oh God…”
Sharper: “Assassination on the steel rampway!”
Sutter gets up as Melinda Braddock smiles. Sutter looks down at Kelsai Adamson and then back at Chance Owens.
Sutter: “Sadly, it had to be this way…”
Sutter backs up as Owens slowly crawls to Adamson. He throws his arm over her, trying to protect her as Sutter and Melinda Braddock back up. The crowd boos as the scene cuts away.
“Psycho in my Head” by Skillet plays as the Breakdown logo comes up on the screen. We then see a still of Simon Lyman vs. Xander Valentine.
Sharper: “Folks, it’s main event time. Xander Valentine, in his hometown, faces Simon Lyman in singles action, next!”
The scene fades out.

Xander Valentine vs. Simon Lyman
The crowd buzzes before “Hero” by Skillet plays. The crowd roars. Ryan Lyman just looks on, pacing and rolls his eyes. A few moments pass before we see Simon Lyman walk out from the back, wearing his wrestling robe. He looks around as she pauses for a few seconds, taking in the moment. He then looks up and looks around the arena. The crowd cheers as Simon then heads to the ring.
Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall with TV time remaining and is your main event of the evening! First, on his way to the ring, from Columbus, Ohio, he is Simply Sensational, Simon Lyman!”
Simon walks down the entrance way. Simon walks over to the ring and over to the steel steps. He grabs the ringpost and climbs up the steps and onto the apron. He then steps into the ring. He steps around and extends his arms as the crowd cheers him. He looks around for a few moments before undoing his robe. He slides it down and places it on the outside. He then walks around the ring before going to the corner and stretching out.
Sharper: “Simon Lyman and Xander Valentine have done battle before. Many years ago and Simon Lyman defeated Xander Valentine ending another notable streak for the Executioner. Tonight though it’s very different. Two different situations. This is safely the last time we’ll probably see this match and Xander calling out Simon Lyman for his involvement in the Thunderdome at Taking Hold of the Flame when he was just in there. Thanks to Fall of Man.”
Knight: “Lyman better be careful. Xander Valentine is at a level I’ve not seen him in years. He’s as driven, but also as willing to burn bridges for what he thinks is right.”
Sharper: “And Lyman also putting himself in title contention. Or at least trying to and Xander’s Trios cash-in ended that hope, at least for now.”
A long church bell rings, once- twice- a third time as the crowd explodes. The lights go out as Xander’s voice echoes out over the sound system, increasing the intensity of the crowd’s roar.
“Never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.”
The few opening keystrokes of “Soul on Fire” by Last Internationale chimed. A lull before the storm as the crowd seems to calm for only a moment before Delila Paz’s blues dominate the audio.
“Some are born to kill
Others are born to run
Some need to keep on takin'
Till you ain't got none”
A singular light appears before the curtains, on the other side is the outline of a large man. On the screen, we’re shown Xander Valentine holding onto the bars of a prison cell. He starts to bend the bars before the scene blurs.
“But baby, I wasn't built to die
Lay down and be crucified
Nah, no matter how hard they try
To push me down
Still I rise”
“Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)
Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)”
The curtain drops to reveal Xander. A quick salvo of pyros explodes in front of him before he steps through the smoke with an intense look on his face. He goes from one side of the stage to the next, yelling out to the crowd and throwing up his arms. He then stops at the top of the ramp and throws his arm up into the air. He starts down the ramp, Xander’s gaze affixed on the ring.
Phillips: “His opponent, fighting out of Fort Collins, Colorado…from Rochester, New York…”
The crowd erupts.
Phillips: “He is the Paragon of Violence, the Executioner, Xander Valentine!”
Suffocate me until I am blue
To preserve my bad worldview
Paranoid, All Eyes On Me
Rumours circle, vultures feed
Baby, I wasn't built to die
Lay down and be crucified
Nah, no matter how hard they try
To push me down
Still I rise

He goes to the opposite side and repeats to garner the same response. He hops down from the rope, and jogs into place, waiting for the bell. A “Xander!” chant breaks out as Simon looks across.
Sharper: “Valentine facing Lyman in his hometown of Rochester. Main event here on Breakdown.”
Knight: “Lyman wanted it. He got it. But this is hostile territory for him tonight.”
The bell sounds as Xander steps out. Simon watches Xander as Xander goes right over to Simon and blasts him with a hard right.
