“Supreme Championship Wrestling...”
A shot of Kelcey Wallace nailing Bree Lancaster with the Perfect Ending, followed by a shot of Steve Griffin hitting the Decimator off the top rope on CHBK at the first Rise to Greatness, before turning a shot of Jake Starr pumping up the crowd on his way to the ring, before turning into a shot of Ravyn Taylor sitting in the corner, waiting for the start of a match. We then see a shot of Katie Steward holding the Women’s Championship before cutting to a shot of Selena Frost hitting Vixen Cain with the Defying Gravity at Supreme Saturday: Just Desserts.
“The leading force in sports and entertainment today....”
MAIN SHOW:
“Psycho in my Head” by Skillet plays as we see a shot of Selena Frost standing on the stage, about to the run to the ring. We then see shots of Bree Lancaster hitting someone with the Rectifier and Simon Lyman posing with his arms out.
Maybe I'm just paranoid
Or maybe I'm just livin' a lie
Can't stop this screamin' voice
Or maybe I'm just sick inside
Shots of Kandis hitting Gratuitous on an opponent, before showing the Fall of Man standing tall. Katie Steward is next shown posing, before we see David Striker diving over the top rope and Josh Hudson standing on the stage, smiling. Shots of Chance Owens, Simon Lyman and the European Fiery Nation follow, superimposed over the Breakdown logo.
This is the face
I hate the other side of me
Out of this cage
He breaks to take the life from me
Tell me, tell me, tell me
I'm not crazy
Syren is shown hitting Xander Valentine with the Total Makeover before showing the Shinigami Foundation standing in the ring talking to the crowd. Glory Braddock is next shown hitting the London Plunge before we see The One Kirsten Scott proudly holding the SCW Television Championship. WASLEY is next shown as Kimberly Williams is seen smirking. The Breakdown logo flashes on the screen.
There's a psycho in my head
I'm closer to the edge
Makin' me feel like I'm livin' in misery, misery
Insane
These voices in my brain
Starting to feel like it's gonna be the death of me, death of me
Gavin Taylor hitting the Gavin Taylor Lariat on an opponent is next, before we see Magical Cosmic Princess YUYO making her entrance. Konrad Raab punching Ace Marshall in a steel cage is shown next, before we see Light in the Darkness hitting Wisteria Waltz against an opponent. Lexy Chapel is then shown showing off Syren. Amy Chastaine posing follows before we see James Evans powerbombing La Pequena Luz off the top rope.
There's a psycho in my, there's a psycho in my head
Shots of Deanna Frost, Ryan LeCavalier, Waylon Creek, Xander Valentine, and Syren are shown before the Breakdown logo comes up on the screen.
We then cut to a live shot of the inside of the Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio. The crowd cheers as pyro shoots out from the base of the stage. The display continues for a few moments before spotlights circle the arena, and the cameras pan across the crowd for a few moments.
Sharper: “SCW continues to roll on to Rise to Greatness XXII and we arrive in Cleveland tonight for Breakdown!”
The cameras continue to pan the crowd before we cut to ringside and the announce position where Adam Sharper sits.
Sharper: “Hello again everyone. Adam Sharper here at ringside. Right now, I’m alone. I’m supposed to be joined by Jonathan Knots who is supposed to be here in Cleveland, but he’s not with me. Nonetheless, I’m going to do my best folks, on my own. Tonight, a huge night with some big matches.”
The Breakdown logo comes up on the screen as we see a still of the Shinigami Foundation vs. Giovanni Aries & Waylon Creek for the SCW Tag Team Championship.
Sharper: “World Tag Team Championship will be on the line. Giovanni Aries and Waylon Creek going to have to work together as the dynamics in the Fall of Man evolve. We’ll have news on James Evans. It’s not good for Fall of Man. But could Shinigami Foundation take the fight to them and stun the world. We’ll find out here tonight. And…”
The Breakdown logo comes up on the screen again.
Sharper: “And a massive singles match. Asher Hayes, the interim US Champion will face off against the Snow Queen, Selena Frost. A big gut check match as both are in huge title matches at Rise to Greatness. This and so much more.”
LAST WEEK:
We cut to show the end of the Simon Lyman vs. Xander Valentine match from Breakdown.
Sharper: “Meanwhile, Breakdown closed last week with some chaos as usual. The match itself, where Simon Lyman faced Xander Valentine ended without controversy, but after, Selena Frost got involved and that brought Cid Turner out.”
Lyman rolls over and gets up and Xander then runs into him, shouldering him into the corner. Lyman staggers back and Xander hoists him up onto his shoulders. He then hits the Valhalla Has Fallen. Xander turns and goes for the pin.

3!
The bell sounds. Xander rolls off as the crowd roars. He gets up and we see Selena Frost sliding into the ring. Xander turns around and Selena lunges and goes for the Glass Shard.
Sharper: “There you see Selena getting involved. After the fall, looking to get a shot in on Xander Valentine. Lucas Knight, who joined me at ringside, along with myself believed it was a simple mindgame to remind Xander how devastating she can be. But Xander blocked it. Shows how well they also know each other.
Xander throws her leg down and then grabs her by the throat. The crowd roars. He goes to hoist her up, but Selena kicks him in the groin. Xander grimaces and falls back. Selena then backs up as the crowd erupts. We see Cid Turner running down from the back. He slides into the ring. He then goes over to grab Selena, but Selena ducks a clothesline. Cid runs into Xander and Xander falls through the ropes to the floor. He staggers over to the announce table. Cid then turns and Selena goes for another Glass Shard, but Cid blocks it too. She then jumps up and hits an enziguri. Cid falls back and through the ropes to the apron.
Sharper: “Selena would attempt to superkick Cid. Cid blocked it too. But then, Selena telegraphed and here you see this. Cid came down presumably to stop Selena. In the end, he ended up falling into Xander and then driving Xander through the table with the Sovereign Takeover!”
Cid pulls himself up and Selena runs at him and nails him with a running forearm. Cid flies back and into Xander. Xander catches him. The crowd roars. Cid looks back and then Xander muscles him up onto his shoulders, but Cid hammers away on Xander. He then ends up on the table where he wrenches Xander’s head and drives him into the top of the table with the Sovereign Takeover. The impact causes the table to implode. Xander rolls to his side. Selena looks on and smirks as Cid Turner grimace in pain, grabbing at his back. We then cut to see the Sovereign Takeover again from a different angle before focusing on Cid again. The Breakdown logo comes up on the screen.
Live, we return to a shot of the announce position where Simon Lyman is sitting down, joining Adam Sharper.
Sharper: “And well, you can see Simon Lyman joining me at ringside. Simon, thank you for joining me.”
Simon: “Well, I figured my return to the desk didn’t go as planned at Taking Hold of the Flame and things last week didn’t either, maybe I need to step back and watch some talent from ringside.”
Sharper: “It was a hell of an effort, Simon, last week.”
Simon: “Well thank you, but ultimately, you know this. You compete to win. And I didn’t win. So that’s just not good enough. Not when I hope to still one day hold that World Championship if I can help it.”
The lights dim briefly before “Dark Child” by Marlon Williams plays as the lights flash back on. The big screen shows several highlights of Cid Turner's career as the song continues to play. The crowd roars as Cid makes his way onto the stage, looking tensely out into the crowd. Cid takes a moment to let it all soak in before he begins his walk down the ramp.
“My little blonde-haired, blue-eyed boy
One day you'll grow up and be distressed
One day you'll grow up and reject everything
I've set out for you”
Cid continues his walk down the ramp and keeps his eye on the ring while continually muttering to himself. Cid reaches the ring and climbs up the steps, slowly walking across the apron to the corner and pulling himself up onto the second rope, standing on the turnbuckle and looking around the arena while taking a deep breath. He pounds his chest and peers out into the sea of people.
“My only dear long wasteful son
One day you'll wonder what you've become”
The music begins to fade out as Cid climbs down from the ropes and enters the ring, making his way to the corner nearest the timekeeper’s table and grabbing a microphone waiting for him.
Simon: “One thing I’ll say – Cid Turner coming back after the time he’s been out. That was impressive. But last week worried me. He hit the Sovereign Takeover through the table, driving himself and Xander through it. And I noticed the grimace on his face.”
Sharper: “Not lost on me either. It took him some time to get up. I can’t say it’s rust as he revealed he had been competing on the independents before his return. So it’s not like you’re not used to the impact. Then again, going through a table…”
Simon: “Yeah, we don’t typically train for that!”
Cid walks around the ring as he looks at the microphone in his hand.
Cid: “I hope you don’t mind if I take some time right now to try and avoid getting murdered on national television. As you just saw, as a result of how things worked out, after screwing up Xander’s plan to go to Rise to Greatness to be the world beater he wants to be, I then drove him face first through a table where I’m pretty sure he right ear ripped against one of the monitors in that table.”
Cid points at the table.
Cid: “And that wasn’t really the plan. I wanted to do that to Selena Frost! She at least deserved it!”
The crowd roars. Cid looks around.
Cid: “After she slithered into the ring and continued to prove that sometimes you can’t hide bitch….She tried to take Xander’s head off. She tried to take my head off. Both of us have tasted it and we didn’t like it. We said no thanks. And yet, she managed to get me…I’m still a bit out of practice for dealing with her BS. And Xander caught me. Like a baby. And for one second, I felt safe in the world. Wrapped in his burly arms before he then planned to start to murder me. It was a defensive instinct. It kicked in. Like punching a shark that is trying to attack you or firing a shotgun at a bear running for your face, I managed to get his arm and drive him through that table.”
Cid sighs.
Cid: “Now Xander. I know, I know, you’re not going to want to hear this, but I need to get this off my chest…I’m sorry. And to help you out…look, I’ve got something. It may help us get an edge in a variety of ways.”
Cid then reaches into his back pocket and pulls out a plastic Ziploc bag partially filled with marijuana.
Sharper: “Is that?”
Simon: “He’s got a bag of weed.”
The crowd roars. Cid looks around as the camera focuses on the bag.
Cid: “I happened to know a guy and well, Xander, I know that you’ve had the issue of concussions. Big in this sport. You and I, we talked about it…both have less and less time on our tire treads. But studies have shown it can help reduce symptoms. Work on pain. And plus, it may help us with Giovanni Aries, to make sense of his Wonderland. I mean, this isn’t laced with anything. We may need something harder and…
A long church bell rings, once- twice- a third time as the crowd explodes. The lights go out as Xander’s voice echoes out over the sound system, increasing the intensity of the crowd’s roar.
“Never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.”
The few opening keystrokes of “Soul on Fire” by Last Internationale chime. A lull before the storm as the crowd seems to calm for only a moment before Delila Paz’s blues dominate the audio.
“Some are born to kill
Others are born to run
Some need to keep on takin'
Till you ain't got none”
A singular light appears before the curtains, on the other side is the outline of a large man. On the screen, we’re shown Xander Valentine holding onto the bars of a prison cell. He starts to bend the bars before the scene blurs.
“But baby, I wasn't built to die
Lay down and be crucified
Nah, no matter how hard they try
To push me down
Still I rise”
“Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)
Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)”
The curtain drops to reveal Xander. A quick salvo of pyros explodes in front of him before he steps through the smoke with an intense look on his face. He then stops at the top of the ramp and looks down, shaking his head and starts down the ramp, Xander’s gaze affixed on the ring.
Sharper: “Xander Valentine hearing this and I don’t know if he’s accepting this peace offering.”
Simon: “Cid does realize they’re not going to sit around a circle in the back and toke up while breaking and eating bread, right?”
Suffocate me until I am blue
To preserve my bad worldview
Paranoid, All Eyes On Me
Rumours circle, vultures feed
Baby, I wasn't built to die
Lay down and be crucified
Nah, no matter how hard they try
To push me down
Still I rise
Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)
Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)
Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)
Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)
Xander pulls himself up onto the apron. He then steps into the ring. He steps forward and Cid extends the bag, only for Xander to smack it out of his hand. It falls to the mat. Cid then looks at Xander, before Xander grabs the microphone out of his hand. Cid backs up.
Xander: “Is this a joke to you? You waltz back and manage to find yourself here. An apology? Some medicinal crap?”
Cid backs up and asks for another microphone. Phillips hands him one. Xander continues to berate Cid.
Xander: “You may not be taking this seriously-“
Cid: “Who says I’m not!”
Cid sighs.
Cid: “Here I am giving you weed! We’re heading into Rise to Greatness. When I put you through that table, not only did I realize I could be costing you your goals, I immediately was reminded of my own health issues.”
Cid looks at Xander.
Cid: “You’ve got Giovanni Aries who is trying to blot the World Title from existence and watching us all dance and take each other out and you have the Wicked Witch of the North thinking this is easy. While you and I are risking everything to be here. So sorry I wanted to make things a bit easier for you before your head explodes! I’m back here not because I was bored – I’m here because I sadly know there’s only one thing that drives me day in and day out and that’s to compete and to compete for that World Title!”
The crowd roars as Xander just looks down at Cid. Xander brings the microphone up.
Xander: “Nice speech. Too bad I don’t give a damn. Too bad you’re just another person in my way. Too bad you’re going to be another casualty. Already one is gone – James…he finally snapped. Two left. And I plan to take out the second at Rise to Greatness. Where does Selena stand in it…nothing more than another obstacle that has put itself in my way to my goal. Just like you are. Just like Light in the Darkness was. Just like the Dangerous Minds. Just like everyone else. I don’t need help, Cid. In fact, it’s better you get out of my way. I had Selena handled last week. You’re the one who complicated things.”
Cid turns away as Xander steps back and then motions to the ropes.
Cid: “And you’re not standing here as World Champion. And while I’m not supposed to be here, can you handle Selena who beat you last year for that title? Or me? Or can you finally make sure Giovanni’s plan won’t work? Or will Waylon come back in – Fatal four way rules. He’s got it for you. He’s just a ball of rage right now.”
Xander: “Creek and I will always be intertwined, but he wants to be me. Giovanni Aries…his little crusade ends at Rise to Greatness. Selena Frost – if people didn’t try to help, she would’ve been fighting Polly Playtime third match on the card. And you…You’ve practically said it Cid. You’re on borrowed time. I don’t need to end you. I just need you to look at your family, go home, talk to Asher, since it seems like you’ve made up…and ask yourself if you need this match. Because at Taking Hold of the Flame, I fought three others and they were working in tandem. I’ll pick apart three people against me who want to kill each other. I may be on borrowed time, but I’m writing my legacy.”
Xander looks at Cid Turner.
Xander: “So…do yourself a favour. Take your bag, veg out, and go home. I’ll take it from here.”
“Soul on Fire” plays as Xander then turns his back to Cid Turner. Xander steps through the ropes, dropping down to the floor. Cid watches him before walking over and grabbing the bag and quickly placing it in his pocket. Xander continues to the back.
Sharper: “Xander continuing to operate like a lone wolf. He doesn’t want anyone helping him and Simon, you’ve dealt with that first hand.”
Simon: “He may have gotten through Taking Hold of the Flame, but let’s not forget. He wanted the destruction of Fall of Man. They’re in action tonight. James may be gone, but Aries and Creek still around and they hold a lot of gold. He didn’t solely win Taking Hold of the Flame. And Cid, I can tell, he genuinely wants to win.”
Sharper: “Xander sees him as an obstacle.”
Simon: “I can’t see Cid walking away. It’s just going to clearly be every person for themselves, for better or worse.”
Cid watches Xander as the scene cuts away.
The scene then cuts backstage to see Jonathan Knots talking with William Heaven backstage. The crowd boos seeing them as the sound comes in.
Knots: “They’re really just bullies. And I’m not going to take it. But the fact is that I’m just a commentator. A damn good one. A draw, but-“
Heaven: “I understand Jonathan, but we also have other priorities.”
Knots: “He’s not going to stop. And James didn’t help.”
Heaven: “His hubris is a problem.”
Knots: “So then let me help. Your backing and I find someone to end this little spat. So you can focus on what you have planned. I look forward to it. It’s different. It’s amazing. And Waylon Creek is the future of the sport. But he needs to you to guide him. Not him worried about protecting you because two kids still think it’s high school and are pissy that they can’t get the attention of the hot girl.”
Heaven: “You know what, Jonathan. I think we can work there. It takes something out of my hands. And if I like what you come up, I’ll happily make it worth their while.”
Knots: “All I can ask for. Well, that and Dumont getting shut down. And I already have someone in mind.”
Heaven: “Good. Then to a good partnership to eliminate an annoying pest.”
Heaven and Knots shake hands.
Sharper: “What that about? What an unholy alliance that is!”
Simon: “Jon…really?”
The scene fades out.
COMMERCIALS
Breakdown returns as we see Cid Turner walking down the hallway and he takes a few steps before he’s startled by a clap. Cid turns and we see Giovanni Aries walking over to him. The crowd boos.
Aries: “Cidnay. Well…so sad to see you as the materialistic relic that you are again. New haircut, same ego, same pathetic stench. And trust me, you’d need more than what’s in your back pocket to understand me. You’d need a whole new perspective.”
Cid: “I hope you realize I’m going nowhere. Xander can be a martyr. I came back to see if I can still do it. I may die in the ring, but it’s what I want to do.”
Aries: “You’ve already died Cid. You died the moment you put your whole value into that golden trinket. And you’ll never get it back as that trinket, I will make sure it is gone. And then what?”
Aries smiles.
Aries: “That’s when everything gets interesting.”
Cid: “It won’t get that far.”
Aries: “It already has.”
Aries cackles as he then turns and starts to walk off. Cid watches him leave before turning and he takes a few steps before he’s stopped by SCW road agent, Dillusion.
Cid: “What? Are you going to say something about Xander? I know you two are friends.”
Dillusion: “No. I need the bag of weed. I mean…we don’t really want that backstage. I’ll take it to security so you can check it when you leave.”
Cid shrugs.
Cid: “That’s fair.”
Cid reaches into his pocket and pulls out the bag and hands it to Dillusion. Dillusion nods and walks off.
Cid: “Don’t smoke it! I was just borrowing it!”
Cid sighs as the scene cuts away.
Sal Darius vs. Glory Braddock
The
first chords of "Immortal" by Ozzy Osbourne begins to play over the
PA system...)
Phillips: “The opening contest tonight on Breakdown is scheduled for onefall
and has a fifteen minute time limit. First, on her way to the ring, from
London, England, she is The British Bombshell, Glory Braddock!”
Glory Braddock steps out onto the stage, wearing her ring gear consisting of
purple spandex pants, boots, and a purple top. She really does look like a
million bucks and grins from ear to ear, gazing out at the crowd for a moment
before making her way down the entrance ramp.
I come alive at the second of midnight
So I can fly when the world is asleep
You scream and howl as I'm taking the first bite
Blood on my tongue tastes of eternity
People will come and go
Some stories never told
They bury me down below
But I'll never die
'Cause I'm immortal
Yes, immortal
The British Bombshell steps up the steel steps and then onto the ring apron.
She poses momentarily on the apron, allowing people to take snapshots before
stepping through the ropes and into the ring. Once in the ring Glory
heads to the center of the ring and poses once more. Then the music dies down
slowly...
Sharper: “Braddock back in action tonight; you wonder if Ryan LeCavalier will be watching this one closely.”
Simon: “After two weeks ago when she attacked Braddock for using the crossface; then last week when Braddock’s distraction cost LeCavalier a match, she’ll be watching. Oh that’s for certain.”
“California love” by 2Pac Shakur hits the arena and Sal Darius comes out wearing his world's famous blublockers. 'The Sex Vibe' comes out with all the hype and toughness. He walks a little and then takes a sprint to the ring.
Phillips: “Her opponent, from Venice, California, he is the Sex Vibe, Sal Darius!”
After sliding in the ring underneath the bottom rope, he climbs the turnbuckle and points to his crouch. Then 'The King of the world of Hearts' throw his blublocker aviators in the crowd and jumps back performing boxing shadow in the ring warming up for his bout.
Sharper: “Darius, last time we saw him, he had won a match and then in the process of it, after the bell, he refused to stop his onslaught and was disqualified.”
Simon: “Clearly someone having some issues with their emotions. You can’t just get too tunnel vision. It’s costly. Not just in lost winner’s purges, but also the potential fines.”
The bell sounds. Braddock looks at Darius as Darius steps up and tells her to come at him. Braddock chuckles to herself and then shrugs before heading at Darius and dropping down and spinning around him and locking in a side headlock. Darius reaches around for leverage before pulling her back into the ropes and firing her off. She bounces off and Darius shoulders her down. Braddock looks up and Darius runs into the ropes. Braddock quickly goes for an aggressive drop down and Darius falls forward, caught by Braddock. Braddock then grabs the leg and spins through, but Darius stops the submission attempt with a hard right. Both get up and Darius goes for a California slap. Braddock ducks and then hits a drop toe hold. Sal hits the mast, smacking the mat and Braddock moves into a side headlock.
Sharper: “Braddock showing her wealth of experience. Darius may have some tricks up his sleeve, but Braddock has seen them all.”
Simon: “And she said she’ll be ready to compete no matter what. She’s here to compete for the fans. And to win.”
Darius starts to get up, Braddock still holding on. Darius gets her to her feet and pulls her into the ropes and fires her off. Braddock bounces off and Darius goes for a back elbow. Braddock ducks and bounces off the other side and hits a spinning heel kick. Darius rolls over and gets back up and Braddock hits a dropkick. She follows up with a pin.

Darius kicks out. Both get up and Braddock snapmares Darius down and then hits a calf kick to the back of the head. Darius rolls over, moving to the corner. Braddock follows up and forearms him in the jaw once and then again. She goes to whip him across, but Darius ducks under and pulls her into a short-arm clothesline.
Sharper: “And Braddock may have gotten a bit too lax. Darius cutting her off with a hard clothesline.”
Simon: “A big opening for him. Gotta take advantage.
Sharper: “And the self-proclaimed Sex Vibe doing just that.”
Braddock starts to get up and Darius grabs her and runs her into the corner. He then shoulders her in the ribs once, twice, and then a third time. He then grabs her and pulls her out before scooping her up and slamming her down. He follows up with a knee drop. He then goes for the pin.
1!
2!
Braddock kicks out. Both get up and Darius kicks her in the ribs and whips her into the ropes. She bounces off and Darius hits a clothesline. He then exits to the apron and climbs up to the top rope. Braddock starts to get up and Darius dives off with a flying clothesline. He then hooks the leg.
1!
2!
Braddock kicks out. She turns and Darius grabs her and locks her in a reverse chinlock. He pulls back as Braddock reaches out to the ropes.
Simon: “Making her carry his weight. Good move here. Wear her down.”
Sharper: “Both have endurance. This will slowly sap Braddock’s unless she can get free.”
Darius pulls back. The official checks on Braddock, but she says no. She then starts to slowly stir, turning to her side. She starts to get up and Darius elbows her in the back of the head. He then pulls her up, blasting her with the California slap. The crowd ohs. Braddock staggers. Darius then comes over to her, and Braddock elbows him in the jaw. She then jumps up and hits the Gloria in Excelsis Dio. She then hooks the legs.
1!
2!
Darius kicks out. He rolls over and Braddock gets up and stomps him in the face and then again and again. Darius rolls to the corner.
Braddock: “Never slap me love!”
Braddock kicks him in the face again and then grabs him and nails him with a chop. She chops him again. More woos follow and Braddock grabs Darius and goes for a bulldog. Darius, however, shoves her off. She stops and turns around and walks right into a brogue kick. Darius goes for the pin.
1!
2!
Braddock gets her shoulder up. She turns and Darius grabs her and pulls her up and hits a back suplex. He then turns and runs into the ropes. He jumps to the middle rope and goes for the Sex Curse, but Braddock gets her knees up. Darius rolls through and holds his ribs. He turns around and Braddock grabs him and hits the Beautiful Insanity.
Sharper: “Darius spiked! Beautiful Insanity!”
Simon: “Out of the counter for his version of the lionsault!”
Darius rolls over and winces and slowly starts to pull himself up, but Braddock just steps over and grabs him by the arm and locks in the Shekinah Glory! The crowd roars. Darius tries to lift her up, as she tightens the hold and falls to a knee. Glory keeps the hold on and Darius drops down to the mat. The official runs over to check on him. He calls for the bell. The bell sounds
Phillips: “Here is your winner, via submission, Glory Braddock!”
Braddock lets go and rolls over. Darius rolls over as the crowd cheers.
Sharper: “Both Darius and Braddock are known for their versions of the triangle choke and tonight, Braddock’s gets the job done. Braddock continues her winning streak!”
Simon: “And fortunately for her, Ryan LeCavalier seems to have remained backstage.”
Sharper: “Perhaps a needed reprieve in this tit for tat, but Braddock keeps winning and that has to lead to what she wants – shots at gold.”
Braddock looks around and then nods to herself. She then climbs up to the middle rope and looks out, enjoying the cheers from the crowd.
Backstage, we see Jonathan Knots talking to Ryan Lyman, but out of earshot of the cameras. Knots smiles as he then shakes Ryan Lyman’s hand.
Simon: “You’ve got to be kidding me.”
Sharper: “Jon…that’s a deal with the devil you’re better than!”
Knots turns and walks off as Ryan Lyman rubs his hands. The scene cuts away.
COMMERCIALS
Breakdown returns to see Chance Owens pacing while standing next to Jaina Lancaster in the backstage area.
Jaina: “Welcome back to Breakdown. Jaina Lancaster here and I’m joined by Chance Owens. Last week Chance, you returned to the ring, but after, Clyde Sutter attacked, attacking you, and more importantly, hitting the Assassination on the steel rampway. Kelsai Adamson not here, recovering at home from the impact.”
Owens turns to Jaina and then walks over to her microphone.
Owens: “Clyde…I’m not even going to dignify your ramblings about fate. I know you’ll say last week was fate. No…it was a choice. And you chose to take Kelsai and drive her into the steel.”
Owens looks right at the camera.
Owens: “Clyde…I am coming for you. And I am going to do everything I can to make your regret your CHOICE. Your issue was with me. You want to make it personal. That’s going to be the biggest mistake of your career!”
Owens turns and storms off. Jaina watches him leave as we cut away.
Back at ringside, we see Jonathan Knots walking around the ring. He walks over to the announce position, the fans making noise.
Sharper: “Good of you to finally join us Jon.”
Knots walks around the table as Simon Lyman gets up.
Simon: “Here’s your seat. I can’t believe you. After everything…”
Knots extends his hand for the headset, but Lyman tosses the headset onto the table. Lyman then steps past Knots. Knots turns and grabs the headset and puts it on.
Knots: “What’s wrong with him?”
Sharper: “You’re working with Ryan Lyman?”
Knots: “Hey, it’s a means to an end. Blame Chris Dumont!”
Simon Lyman walks around the ring and over to the entrance way.
Marissa Swanson vs. Dexter Grant
The
arena slowly dims to complete darkness. It is a few moments before the
SCWtron flashes a shot of a pair of deep brown eyes. The shot fades out and a
small pulse can be heard before the same shot shows a second time. The shot of
the eyes goes back out again. The next shot that shows is a quick video
of a woman having her right hand run up a pet leash. That shot fades out and
the next one shows the shadow of someone wearing the leash. After this shot
fades out, the beginning of "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus begins to
play.
As soon as Miley begins to sing, there is a small spotlight that lights up on
the stage. Walking slowly into it is Marissa Swanson. As the chorus begins
she looks up and glares around at those closest to the wrestler rampway. She
sneers at all of them and walks down to the ring.
Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall with a fifteen minute time limit. First, on her way to the ring, she is Marissa Swanson!”
Once down at the ring she rubs her hands against the apron of the ring, with it looking kind of disturbing. When the chorus plays a second time, she sits up on the apron and rolls under the bottom rope and into the ring. Marissa then stands up and licks the front of her left hand with her tongue as her entrance music continues. The third instance of the chorus leads to Marissa just standing in the middle of the ring and raising both of her arms. She leaves them up until her music fades out. The lights fully return to normal. She looks around in an intimidating manner, waiting for her opponent to join her in the center of the ring.
Sharper: “Marissa Swanson to be in action for the first time since losing the SCW Television Championship.”
Knots: “Maybe could earn an Adrenaline shot here. Win and you make your case there. We’ll see. It’s non-title.”
“TokSik” by Starset hits as the lights in the arena immediately go out, a series of green spotlights converging onto the stage where fog has begun to consume it. The big screen show's a human eye opening, and reflecting in it is a montage of people glued to their phones and computers, either consuming or producing social media garbage as they all look sickly while doing so. “The Digital Detoxer” Dexter Grant marches out through the fog, stopping at the edge of the stage and staring out at the fans with disgust, holding the SCW Adrenaline Championship. A few cheers can be heard, but they're easily drowned out by all the boos raining down upon him. He turns his head to his right just in time to see his faithful flunky Wendell march out behind him, proudly holding up a protest sign that has the circle-backslash symbol with a wi-fi symbol behind the backslash and the words “DISCONNECT TO RECONNECT” written within the circle.
Phillips: “Her opponent, accompanied by Wendell, from Off the Grid, he is the SCW Adrenaline Champion, The Digital Detoxer, Dexter Grant!”
Wendell eagerly looks up at Dexter, who smiles and nods in approval before he starts storming down to the ring, his disgusted look returning at the sound of all the people around him who just refuse to listen to his message. He jumps up onto the apron and aggressively steps through the ropes, marching to the center of the ring and turning his back to the hard cam as he points his thumb to the same “DISCONNECT TO RECONNECT” logo of his on the back of his vest. Wendell crawls into the ring and stands beside Dexter, proudly holding up his sign before looking legitimately confused as to why they're being booed. The lights return to normal as Dexter turns to Wendell and says something to him. Wendell then turns and asks for Phillips’s microphone. He’s handed it. As he does, Wendell then reveals a VHS tape in his hand, behind the sign, and hands it to Phillips.
Sharper: “Dexter Grant here and we’re about to hear from him. And what’s that?”
Knots: “I know you’re too old to know what VHS is. But that’s a VHS tape!”
Sharper: “Why is Wendell giving that to Jason Phillips?”
Wendell hands the microphone to Dexter.
Dexter: “Now, you take that VHS and give it to CHBK. It’s for him to understand who I hope to help disconnect to reconnect…just like this woman across from me. Focusing on being provocative when her friendships are crumbling-“
Marissa then runs across the ring and tackles Grant down. The crowd roars as the microphone goes flying. Wendell exits the ring and goes over to Phillips. Phillips hands the tape off to a crew member as Wendell points and the crew member takes the tape. The bell sounds as Marissa hammers away on Grant. Grant, after taking several shots, shoves Marissa off. Marissa rolls off and Grant gets up and moves to the corner. Swanson follows up and kicks him in the ribs and nails him with a hard right and then another and another and another. She then throws Grant down to the mat. Swanson jumps to the middle rope and dives back with a corkscrew moonsault onto Grant.
Sharper: “And Swanson off the middle rope! Corkscrew dive!”
Knots: “Come on! Get some distance. That should’ve had at least a forced break!
Swanson goes for the pin.
1!
2!
Grant kicks out. Swanson rolls off as Grant rolls over. He starts to get up and turns to Swanson who blasts him with a dropkick. Grant hits the mat and slowly gets up and Swanson then gets up and hits another dropkick. Grant falls back and rolls over to the corner. Swanson walks over to and grabs him, but Grant suddenly lowers his head and lifts Swanson up, dropping her face first onto the top turnbuckle. Swanson falls back, rolling over, holding her face. She starts to get up and he runs over and clotheslines her, catching her in the back of the neck. Swanson rolls over. Grant then follows up with an elbow drop. He goes for the pin.
1!
2!
Swanson kicks out. She rolls over and starts to get up and Grant rakes her eyes. She falls to the ropes and then Grant whips her across the ring. She bounces off and Grant hits a running jumping knee to the face. She hits the mat. Grant then rolls over and steps over, locking in a camel clutch.
Sharper: “And Grant going for the camel clutch. It’s not glamourous, but it’s effective.”
Knots: “And that’s what matters. Can it make your opponent tap and he’s trying to bend Swanson in two!”
Swanson grimaces in pain as Grant pulls back. She looks arounds and tries to pry Grant’s clutch apart. He keeps it going and Swanson reaches around and then reaches up and thumbs Grant’s eye. Grant falls back as Swanson crawls forward. Grant gets up and Swanson then hits a diving clothesline. Grant hits the mat. She then hits a standing moonsault into a pin.
1!
2!
Grant kicks out. Swanson rolls off as Grant rolls over. He starts to get up and Swanson grabs him and hits a neckbreaker. She walks to the corner and climbs up to the top rope. She glances back and goes for a moonsault. Grant rolls out of the way. Swanson crashes. The crowd ohs. He then gets up and hits the Unwanted Notification. The crowd ohs.
Sharper: “Unwanted Notification! That boot to the face. Spinning boot.”
Knots: “Swanson nearly got owed by Polly last week and now she may be about to disconnect!
Grant covers Swanson.
1!
2!
Swanson gets her shoulder up. She rolls over and Grant grabs her and drags her over to the rope. He leans on her back, choking her with the middle rope while berating her.

Grant steps off as Swanson winces, holding her throat. Grant then walks around the ring and then hits the ropes and bounces off. He runs at Swanson and Swanson suddenly hits a dropkick to the knee. Grant falls throat first into the middle rope. He snaps back and falls to the mat. Swanson exits to the apron and climbs up to the top rope. She then looks at Grant and dives off with the Penultimate Note. The crowd ohs.
Sharper: “The Penultimate Note. Right to the throat!”
Knots: “He needs that! He needs that to share his vision!”
Swanson covers Grant.
1!
2!
Grant shoots his shoulder up. The crowd ohs. Swanson rolls off. She then looks around and then gets up and grabs Grant. She starts to pull him up. She then places his head between her legs. She goes to lift him up, but Grant slides down and then crawls through the legs of Swanson. Swanson nearly loses her footing and she then turns and grabs Grant, but Grant then hoists her up and drops her on the top rope, throat first. Swanson staggers back and Grant takes her down by the arm and locks in the Disconnect to Reconnect!
Sharper: “The Disconnect to Reconnect! Grant’s version of the Omoplata Crossface and Swanson caught!”
Knots: “And she’s still struggling to catch her breath after going into the ropes!”
Grant pulls back as the official watches. Swanson reaches around, struggling as she tries to pull on his hands, but Grant has them firmly locked in. Swanson reaches around before then starting to tap out. The bell sounds. The crowd roars and boos. Grant lets go and rolls over to his knees.
Phillips: “Here is your winner, via submission, Dexter Grant!”
Sharper: “And Grant with another victory. Another submission victory tonight here on Breakdown.”
Knots: “And Swanson just couldn’t keep on.”
Sharper: “Grant may be a pompous, self-righteous man, but he clearly can compete. The SCW Adrenaline Championship continues to show what he can do. But what was on that VHS tape Wendell handed off?”
Grant gets up and has his arm raised only to pull it away. He walks around before yelling at the crowd. Wendell looks on as Grant continues to berate the crowd. Swanson rolls over, holding her shoulder.
Backstage, we see Deanna Frost looking at something while standing over her bags. La Pequena Luz then steps into the room, joined by Amelia Nevado. Deanna quickly covers up what she was looking at and places it in her bags.
Luz: “Sorry to have to leave you-“
Deanna: “No, no, it’s fine.”
Deanna turns to Luz and Amelia.
Deanna: “Everyone’s lives can’t just stop. And it’s probably best I have some controlled moments alone…to try and help get over things-“
Luz: “You don’t need to get over it. You went through a traumatic event. You need to take the time to come to terms with it. It may be a while.”
Deanna: “I know, I know. And I appreciate it.”
Deanna pauses a moment.
Deanna: “Speaking of, I want to make a quick stop and talk to someone.”
Amelia: “One of us can come with-“
Deanna: “No. I’m going to try and do this myself. It’s important. For my own reasons.”
Amelia looks at Luz before Luz steps up and grabs a phone that’s sitting next to Deanna’s bag.
Luz: “Then take this. If anything causes you to need some support, call. We’ll be there.”
Deanna takes the phone.
Deanna: “Thanks. Really. Thanks.”
Deanna walks off as Luz and Amelia look at one another and watch her leave. Luz then turns to Amelia.
Luz: “There’s something I want to take care of to. You okay if I do that?”
Amelia: “Of course. Just be careful.”
Luz: “I will.”
Luz gently kisses Amelia before she heads off too.

Breakdown returns back in the locker room of Light in the Darkness. Amelia Nevado is scanning a few items on her phone when there’s a knock at the door. Amelia puts the phone down. She then takes the few steps to the door. She then pauses.
Amelia: “Who is it?”
???: “Chris…”
Amelia opens the door as we see Chris Cannon standing across from her.
Amelia: “Chris…this is a surprise.”
Cannon: “I could see how it is. That said, always good to see another fine British wrestler on the roster and one that’s making ways.”
Amelia: “Kind words. It’s great to see you back in SCW and full of fresh energy.”
Cannon: “Trust me, it feels good too.”
Amelia: “What can I do for you?”
Cannon: “Nothing much. I figured I’d introduce myself more properly. Fresh starts and all.”
Amelia: “It’s great to shake your hand…”
Amelia shakes Chris’s hand. Cannon smiles.
Cannon: “You know you’ve always been better than Glory. At leas in terms of pure skill.”
Amelia: “I don’t know about that-“
Cannon: “I’ve watched enough tape. She’s got the experience edge. So she knows how to deploy it better. But you are more well-rounded. Classically trained. You maximize the hold. Glory is much like her father Glenn. Very good, don’t get me wrong, but also there’s a stubbornness.”
Amelia: “Well…thank you, I guess.”
Cannon: “Trust me. You’ll get past her in singles action some day.”
Amelia: “Thanks.”
Cannon: “Enjoy your evening.”
Cannon then turns and walks off as Amelia looks deeper in thought, considering what Cannon said before shaking her head and closing the door.
The
tron flickers in and out exactly how it did during Taking Hold of the Flame.
The same spider web is seen with it being completed except for one single
strand. There is another flicker and when the web is next seen, the soft voice
can be heard whispering.
"It is what I predicted. You were weakened. You were consumed. How does it
feel, to watch a comrade hold what you feel you should have held?"
The voice stops and the tron flickers in and out. When it comes back in, the
letter R is now there, right dead center in the web, clear as day.
"You feel like the World should be held by you. You believe you should get
to hold the World by the throat. But twice now that has not come to pass. You
were not smart enough. You were not cunning enough. And you still aren't."
The tron flickers in and out again and when it comes back in this time, a set
of eyes can be seen in the background. As for the web, the real spider that
calls the web home drops down right into the web, right alongside the R.
The whisper is heard.
"See you soon."
The tron flickers one last time, the spider, the web, the eyes, gone.
“The
Monster Machine” Enigma vs. Derek Adonis
“Scum
Of The Earth” by Rob Zombie hits as “The Monster Machine” Enigma slowly steps
out onto the stage. The crowd roars seeing the man as he looks around, scanning
the arena. A few moments pass before he starts to walk down to the ring, taking
his time, but his eyes firmly gazing upon the ring.
Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall with a fifteen minute
time limit. First, on his way to the ring, currently residing in Rock Hill, New
York, he is The Monster Machine… Enigma!”
Enigma reaches ringside. He then walks over to the steel steps and stops before
slowly walking up them. He then steps onto the ring apron and then steps into
the ring. He then looks across the ring before slowly starting to pace around
the ring.
Sharper: “The Monster Machine, Enigma, is here. We have not yet heard what he’s had to say about Colleen MacDonald’s challenge to him.”
Knots: “I think he has to be salivating. A champion calling him out. And maybe with the title on the line. That’s called making an impact.”
The sound of a xylophone scale is heard, signifying the start of the KABLAMian
Taberacle Choir's jingle, "Come In KABLAMia"...
Derek Adonis rolls out atop the ramp on a cloud, alongside a number of the
citizens of KABLAMia: Sweet Sangria, Mimi Mimosa, Het Meisje, and Anastasia
Fantasia among them. The crowd rise to their feet in a raucous applause at the
display of flesh in front of them...
Welcome to the land that loves below the belt
The sky’s are clear and pleasure is felt
Come in KABLAMia, come in KABLAMia
Adonis partially rises to his knees, waving out to the crowd as chants of
"KABLAM" ring out throughout the arena. The cloud continues to roll
it's way down the ramp.
Where fun-loving people can give right in
To a Man Mountain utopia where everyone wins
Come in KABLAMia, come in KABLAMia
Sweet Sangria always dressed in smile
Many men and women will go the extra mile
Come in KABLAMia, come in KABLAMia
The women on the cloud toss out small, travel-sized bottles of Derek Adonis
Heavy KABLAM Lubricant and folded up travel brochures to the crowd.
Phillips:
“His opponent, from KABLAMia, and accompanied by the KABLAMia Tourism Board, he
is Man Mountain, Derek Adonis!”
The lube flows freely, never enough
It’s a copyrighted formula, the right stuff
But even still they make you feel right at home
Whether you love cleaning the carpet or polishing chrome
The cloud makes it to the bottom of the ramp and Adonis hops off first,
reaching up to help the four primary women off. They step down, each planting a
kiss on the cheek of Man-Mountain before heading up the stairs. Adonis follows
up last and pulls himself through the ropes, lifting them for the four women to
enter the ring as well.
We don’t kink-shame here, it never allowed
It’s a comfortable place while you’re being plowed
Your greatest dreams are always on tap
Your can register now with our convenient app
Adonis moves around to the four corners, climbing onto the bottom rope to throw
out travel brochures as far as he can.
That’s right, KABLAM is expanding…
It’s the dream of Derek Adonis
Come in KABLAMia, sunny KABLAMia
We mean YOU!
After finishing (heh), Adonis moves to the middle of the ring, posing with the
four women around him. As the song ends, he bellows out with it...
Adonis: “KABLAAAAAAAAAAAAM!”
Sharper: “Adonis doing his entrance. We know from Taking Hold of the Flame that Enigma is not interested in what he’s selling.”
Knots: “So convince him! He gets battered and bruised, then he may want to take advantage of KABLAMia’s spas.”
Sharper: “Do you want him to be taken out? Do you understand who he is up against?”
Knots: “I’m just trying to tell you. KABLAMia is wonderful!”
The bell sounds. Adonis looks at Enigma as Enigma just glares a hole through the head of Man Mountain. Adonis gulps and then nods before then stepping up and Enigma just boots him in the face. The crowd ohs. Adonis rolls over and starts to get up, but Enigma grabs him and drags him to the ropes. He leans him against the bottom rope and stomps him over and over and over again.

Enigma steps away again as Adonis falls to a knee.
Sharper: “This could be a long night for Adonis. He may need those spa services himself.”
Knots: “Good thing Sweet Sangria is here. She’s a magician with her hands.”
Enigma pulls Adonis up and then whips him across the ring. Enigma runs after and nails him with a clothesline. Adonis falls to the mat from the impact. He rolls over as Enigma then grabs him. He drags him over and then scoops him up and hits a fall forward slam. The crowd ohs. He goes for the pin.

Adonis kicks out. The crowd roars. Enigma looks down at him and nods before grabbing him by the head and dragging him up. He then runs him back over to the corner, driving him face first into the turnbuckle. Adonis turns and Enigma grabs him and then hits a huge beal out of the corner.
Sharper: “Good lord! A hip toss. A throw out of the corner. And Adonis is not a light man.”
Knots: “Damn right. Man Mountain! And Enigma tossed him with ease!”
Adonis gets up in the opposite corner. Enigma stalks his way across the ring and goes over to Adonis. Adonis suddenly nails him with a hard right and then another. Enigma knees him in the ribs. He drags him out and then whips him into the ropes. Adonis bounces off and ducks a clothesline attempt. He bounces off the other side and jumps up and hits a crossbody. The crowd roars.

Enigma kicks out. Both get up and Adonis quickly nails Enigma in the back with a double axe handle smash. He nails him again and again. He forces Enigma down to the mat before jumping up and hitting a big splash to his back. Enigma grimaces in pain as Adonis gets up. Enigma rolls over to the ropes and starts to get up and Adonis manages to scoop him up and slam him down. He then runs into the ropes and hits a running elbow drop.
Sharper: “And Adonis with a flurry of offense. Adonis fighting back here.”
Knots: “Not just a lover; he’s a fighter. And he’s fighting for his life!”
Adonis goes for the pin.

Enigma kicks out. Adonis rolls off as Enigma rolls over and starts to get up. Adonis then grabs him and hoists him up and hits a full nelson sitout bomb. Enigma rolls over. Adonis goes for the pin.

Enigma pushes him off. He rolls over, more annoyed than anything, and starts to get up. Adonis again clubs him in the back once and then again before Enigma turns and manages to shove him back. Adonis hits the ropes and Enigma suddenly spins through with a discus elbow, dropping Adonis. The crowd ohs.
Sharper: “My God what an elbow.”
Knots: “That’ll stop some offense. It also will make it so you’ll need dental surgery!”
Adonis rolls over and starts to try to get up. Enigma grabs him by the throat in a double choke. He then hoists him up and drops him with the Questions & Answers. He stays down.

3!
The bell sounds. Enigma pushes Adonis away. He then slowly gets up. He walks over to the camera.
Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, the Monster Machine, Enigma!”
Enigma: “You want to face me, Colleen. There’s your response. Your last challenge at my feet. Where you will be…The spiral….will engulf your success and be your reign’s end!”
Enigma steps away from the camera and steps through the ropes.
Sharper: “There’s your answer. There’s your response.”
Knots: “Jesus! That guy gives me the creeps.”
Sharper: “Colleen MacDonald wanted to face him. Wanted to accept his call. Rise to Greatness…will she regret it?”
Enigma drops down to the floor. He slowly starts to walk to the back. The KABLAMia Tourism Board enters the ring to check on Derek.
Backstage, Asher Hayes is starting to lay out his gear to prepare for his match against Selena Frost tonight.
Sharper: “There you see the interim US Champion. Asher Hayes will face Selena Frost in our main event tonight and…wait a minute.”
We hear a knock the door. Asher looks up and heads over, before stopping. He then grabs the interim US Championship, brandishing it as a weapon. He then walks over and opens the door. He then stops as Deanna Frost stands in the doorway.
Hayes: “Sorry…”
Deanna: “No. I get it. I used to open the door with a rolling pin, tongs, something I felt I could attack with if it was Enigma…or Veil…or whatever he’s going by. Still can’t believe Jordan…”
Hayes: “You and me both. So you here to taunt me on behalf of your wife.”
Deanna: “No…I’ll…let her focus on you and whatever happens there. She’s still holding a grudge given your past.”
Hayes: “I don’t blame her.”
Deanna: “But I’m here to say something else.”
Hayes: “Shoot.”
Deanna: “You may not have always gotten along well with us Frosts, but I can tell when someone is…was trying to take a fresh leap forward. Take it with me overanalyzing things, worried about the worst. I also heard what you said about when I returned…”
Hayes: “You’re the defending champ-“
Deanna: “No…you’re right. Until I win it back, if I win it back, at Rise to Greatness, I haven’t proven I can still hold that title. SCW may not remove it, but as far as I’m concerned, you’re the defending champ going in. I need to beat you to prove I can still hold that belt. And I just wanted you to hear it from me.”
Hayes: “Uh…thanks…”
Deanna nods.
Deanna: “I should get back. Being backstage like this…I’m a bit more exposed than I’d like.”
Hayes: “How about I walk you back to the LITD locker room-“
Deanna: “No, no-“
Hayes: “Actually I insist. Consider it a thank you for you helping me get this back.”
Deanna pauses a moment.
Deanna: “Well thank you.”
Asher steps forward and closes the door. The scene cuts away.

Breakdown returns as we see Jordan Majors at the security checkpoint. She then can be seen glancing behind her before nodding to the security guard.
Guard: “Okay, miss. You need to go. You can’t be hanging around here.”
Majors: “Okay, God. I’m just looking to get some answers.”
Majors turns, hiding her hand, before then turning and we see La Pequena Luz walking up to her.
Majors: “Awww…are you now spying for Asher?”
Luz: “Nothing of the sort. Though I’d question why you’re here.”
Majors: “Making sure I know how to get free if I’m surrounded by the three of you…or four of you again.”
Luz: “What happened to you?”
Majors: “I opened my eyes. Simple as that. And I saw an opportunity to give myself what I should’ve had before. So it’s not recognized, but people are talking about me. People are waiting for me to take that title and now, at Rise to Greatness, I can have my crowning moment…you know, just like Asher did.”
Luz: “And you could have earned it straight up. You have the skill-“
Majors: “Yeah. I’ve heard that time and time again. I know I have the skill. But…well, who cares? Because I’m going to drop you on your head. I’ll do the same for Deanna. Maybe I can get a pyro company-“
Luz: “Don’t you dare. That’s a line you better not cross.”
Majors smirks.
Majors: “Testy….don’t worry. I’ll only pull out the big guns for Asher. You and Deanna…I’ll just satisfy myself by standing over you when it matters.”
Majors then pushes past Luz. Luz turns as Majors walks past her and walks off. Luz shakes her head.
The scene opens up back at ringside to see Adam Sharper and Jonathan Knots at the announce position.
Sharper: “I don’t know what Majors is thinking, but something was off there.”
Knots: “She was planning a route out. A smart thing to do!”
Sharper: “Well folks, last week, James Evans may have wished he could have gotten out of what he set up. He called out Chris Dumont and in the process of their fight, he hit the ring apron hard and we could see him struggling with several of his moves since, clearly in pain.”
Knots: “Yeah…not good.”
Sharper: “Early returns have it that he had a notable lumbar strain, or a torn back muscle. The tear, from what we’re hearing, is severe enough that he may need to have surgery. The reality is that this takes James Evans out for the foreseeable future and that’s one of the three core members of Fall of Man out before Rise to Greatness.”
Knots: “Nevermind the stipulation of his fight. I’ll deal with that later.”
Sharper: “Jon, you don’t need to deal with anything. It’s Heaven’s issue.”
Knots: “Trust me!”
Sharper: “In any case, despite James Evans’s actions, we never like to see an injury here in SCW.”
Knots: “Xander is probably loving it though, the sick bastard.”
Sharper: “He may. But we hope for a speedy recovery for the former World Champion.”
Sharper then pauses for a moment.
Sharper: “And it looks like we now have another answer. We have the production truck ready to try and play what was on that VHS tape that Wendell handed to Phillips who then handed it to a crew member.”
Knots: “I mean we are in Ohio. Probably just went to someone’s house-“
Sharper: “Dexter Grant offering a message. Can we play it?”
Sharper waits a moment as we then cut to the big screen showing a blue screen before we see it buffering and then we see Dexter Grant on the screen. The crowd boos as the video fills the screen.
Grant: “It’s clear despite my success in the ring that many people are still not taking my efforts seriously. They interrupt me. They attack me. They react irrationally when the statistics are simple – the conclusions are simple. Social media is destroying our nation, our world. Younger people have shorter attention spans. They demand constant attention. Many have fewer parasocial relationships instead focusing on a fictional connection with the collection. And worse of all, people don’t just enjoy their lives, living in the moment, chasing algorithms, instead of lasting memories. If they don’t take an insipid selfie, while dancing in front of their crashed out car, it didn’t happen and they need to monetize it. Just pathetic…”
Grant pauses.
Grant: “That’s why with Rise to Greatness, I’m going to turn the massive marketing machine on its head. I’m going to turn out some of the bright lights of social media spotlight one by one. I thought Glory Braddock got my hint, but instead she is just as disappointing as she rants against this company on social media. That whole family is nearly a lost cause. So I don’t plan to save anyone this time. I plan to remove.”
Grant pauses as we see him turn and on an older box television, we see Kimberly Williams with WASLEY in Taking Hold of the Flame.
Grant: “The one who seemingly can’t live without making a fool of herself and plastering it all over the internet – something I know thanks to Wendell’s research. A woman who acts crazy while running around with a stuffed penguin, using AI generated images, further hurting the environment, and lining the pockets of big tech, all to just entertain a handful of brain dead fans. They love her for being different. WASLEY is so cute. WASLEY is a weapon intended to maim. And while she was once incarcerated. She is again now…this time just incarcerated in the panopticon that is social media. Kimberly…consider this your warning. I will be taking away your platform. I will destroy your idiotic penguin. You won’t be able to rely on your gimmicky weapons. And I will even kill your hopes to move on from the cesspool you previously played in. When I am done, your legacy will be that you were a garbage match wrestler and a stain on the Jones family. And a stain on wrestling altogether. Not on social media. But in the history books – something that will last. I will cut your hopes to get to the top before they start. By weaponizing my Adrenaline Championship for my crusade.”
The video skips briefly.
Grant: “There won’t be any Bunkhouse Stampede. No stupid poll on X will help. And no, there won’t be unicorns. There will just cold reality snapping you out from your trance. Where you either accept how pathetic you are…or maybe you at least just realize you’re nothing more than a side show. I’d say you need to Disconnect to Reconnect…but I don’t think you’re capable. So I’m not going to try. I’m just going to permanently impose the glass ceiling over your head. For the benefit of all.”
Grant then reaches forward, turning off his camcorder as the video returns to a blue screen. The crowd boos as we cut back to a panning shot of the crowd.
Sharper: “Dexter Grant going after Kimberly Williams. Williams did strike him with WASLEY during the Taking Hold of the Flame.”
Knots: “He’s not one to hold a grudge!”
Sharper: “Oh stop it…I will be very intrigued by what Kimberly Williams will have to say.”
“Psycho in my Head” by Skillet plays as the Breakdown logo comes up on the screen. We then see a shot of the Shinigami Foundation before showing the Fall of Man.
Sharper: “And next, the SCW World Tag Team Championship will be on the line. Giovanni Aries and Waylon Creek look to reestablish the Fall of Man’s dominance after a challenging week. The Shinigami Foundation look to shock the world, next!”
The scene fades out.
COMMERCIALS
Backstage, we see Marissa Swanson getting her arm checked out in the trainer’s room.
Swanson: “You want to put yourself in her way, go for it. Polly told me you may be a nice guy, but you clearly are a bit foolish.”
The camera pans to show David Striker talking to Marissa Swanson.
Striker: “No. Looking to help someone figure it out. I don’t know why she keeps gravitating for Selena Frost. She doesn’t care about anyone but herself. She thinks she’s helping her. She’s just become fixated on her. She needs to just focus on getting those frustrations out and building wins.”
Swanson: “As I said, it’s your funeral.”
Striker: “I plan to mention it to Colleen-“
Swanson scoffs.
Swanson: “Then you don’t understand the first thing about them.”
Striker: “Enlighten me then.”
Swanson: “They’re each their own. You don’t need Colleen’s permission. You don’t need mine. You want to get Polly’s attention. Take something away from her she wants or needs. But get ready. She won’t want your charity.”
Striker: “There’s no charity here. I may want to help her out, but that’s more that she needs a break. I want a break. But I want to have some fun doing it in that ring. And I know Polly won’t hold anything back.”
Striker pauses.
Striker: “And I’m not looking for permission. I’m looking for acknowledgement. I don’t need all of you being weird. The Troupe is a brotherhood. Body, Heart, and Soul is a sisterhood. But we’ve always been connected in some way. And that’s not going to change. Unless you force it. And that would be sad.”
Striker then walks off as Swanson watches him leave.
The Shinigami Foundation vs. The Fall of Man
SCW World Tag Team Championship
“Never Gonna Stop (The Red Red Kroovy)” by Rob Zombie plays as the crowd boos. A few moments pass before we see Wil Pierce and Alex Belmont walk out from the back. Pierce steps up and throws his arms in the air and then motions to the crowd. Belmont looks around and smirks before they start to head to the ring. The crowd gives them a solid reaction as they make their way down the rampway.
Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall with a thirty-minute time limit and is for the SCW World Tag Team Championship! First, the challengers, they are the team of Wil Pierce and Alex Belmont, they are the Shinigami Foundation!”
The team storms to the ring and pulls themselves up onto the apron. Pierce and Belmont then walk around the ring. Pierce and Belmont turn back to one another as they talk.
Sharper: “Huge opportunity for the Shinigami Foundation. This is one of those opportunities, it’s not just about winning the titles which would be huge, but you’re facing the World Champion too. He’s going to have his mind there as well.”
Knots: “Yeah, but they’re pros. That’s the thing. Creek – military. He’ll be ready. Aries, he’s used to playing 7D chess. Belmont and Pierce, they need to be focused on one thing – that’s trying to win as effectively as they can. That’s going to be a tall order!”
We hear the sound of a door open that rings out over the arena as we then hear the words
|| THE WONDERLAND MADMAN ||
‘Villain’ by Wildfire begins to play as the arena goes dark except for a
psychedelic spotlight as from beneath the stage rises Giovanni Aries sitting
cross legged dressed in his Psychedelic fur coat and trunks combo as he cackles
out before jumping up and spinning with arms out. Giovanni cackles out once
again as he looks at the crowd while lighting a Wonderland cigarette before he
stops and yells out.
“DEATH TO THE LIZARD KINGDOM”
He then makes a throat slashing gesture before cackling out once more. He then
takes a drag as his music cuts and merges into the sound of a babbling brook
overtake the PA and screen. Shortly after, a man dressed in a suit flickers
onto the screen, standing in the middle of the creek, facing away from the
camera. “Mountain Banjo” by Rhiannon Giddens comes over the system, and from
behind curtain emerges a muscular figure, adorned by torn up flannels, being
led by a black lab on a leash. The man, Waylon Creek, holding the both World
Tag Team Championship belts, walks past Aries as William Heaven walks out with
him.
Phillips: “Their opponents, accompanied by William Heaven, they are the SCW World Tag Team Champions, the team of Waylon Creek and the SCW World Champion, Giovanni Aries, The Fall of Man!”
The dog leads the way as Waylon Creek follows close behind, looking around the arena. He hands the dog off to a stagehand when he gets to the ring and appears to say something to the dog. The dog sits calmly as Creek enters the ring up the steps and into the ring. Giovanni pulls himself in after. He takes another drag of his cigarette. Creek steps forward, extending the titles to the official, Aaron Demitra. Demitra holds them over his head as the SCW World Tag Team Championship logo comes across the screen. Demitra hands the titles off as Creek and Aries talk only for Aries to step through to the apron.
Sharper: “Aries again walking out with no titles, neither the Tag or World Championship.”
Knots: “Told you. He’s got this figured out.”
Sharper: “Creek has both titles. Holding both titles. Ironically, he’s the one, while he’s defended them, he didn’t originally win them. That was James Evans teaming with Giovanni Aries and as we reported, James Evans looks to be on the shelf for some time.”
Knots: “Not going to slow down the Fall of Man one iota!”
Sharper: “I figured you’d say that now that you’re practically working with them.”
Knots: “We have a common enemy!”
The bell sounds as Wil Pierce steps up. Creek steps up too. Pierce starts to jaw at Creek before then kicking him in the ribs. He nails Creek with a hard right and then a back chop before nailing him again, only for Creek to knee him in the ribs once and then again and again. He then throws Pierce down to the mat. Pierce looks out and smirks before getting back up and turning and nailing Creek with a hard right. He then goes to the stomach with repeated shots before Creek grabs him and headbutts him. Pierce staggers back. He then turns around and jumps up and goes for the Rasengan and takes Creek down. The crowd erupts. He dives on him for the pin.
Sharper: “What a shot! Pierce took Creek down!”
Knots: “No!”

Creek rolls over as Belmont exits and Pierce tags him back in. He re-enters and kicks Creek. They then whip him into the ropes. Creek bounces off and they hit a double hip toss into Creeping Death. Belmont goes for the pin.

Creek kicks out again.
Sharper: “The Shinigami Foundation all over Waylon Creek!”
Knots: “Got to cut one off. They’re doing that to Creek.”
Sharper: “And using great tandem offense to do so.”
Creek turns and Belmont elbows him in the back of the head. Pierce exits and Belmont runs into the ropes. He bounces off and goes for the Gilgamesh Full House, but Creek sidesteps. Belmont stops and turns around and Creek scoops him up and hits a backbreaker. Belmont rolls over. Creek grimaces and gets up and Belmont starts to get up in the neutral corner and Creek moves in and nails him with a hard right and then another and another and another, hammering away on Belmont, over and over to the forehead as Belmont slowly drops to a seated position. The official counts.

Knots: “Going to teach Belmont and Pierce a lesson in not focusing on the material.”

He throws him down and covers him.

Belmont kicks out. Creek gets up and elbows him in the chest. He elbows him again.
Sharper: “And Creek and Aries just smothering Belmont right now. Repeated elbows.”
Knots: “This is why going up against the Fall of Man is a bad choice. Aries will mess with you. Creek will bludgeon you. They’ll be find without Evans.”
Creek then grabs Belmont and pulls him up and he throws him into the neutral corner. Creek shoulders Belmont a couple of times before whipping him across the ring. Creek runs after and Belmont lifts him up and over Creek before running into the ropes. He bounces off and tags in Pierce. Pierce enters as Creek scoops him up, but Belmont spins through to land on his feet. Belmont then backs up as Pierce hoists Creek up onto his shoulders and Belmont runs over and they hit the Doom Train. Pierce goes for the pin.

Creek gets his shoulder up. Pierce grabs Creek and pulls him up. He then hits a snap back suplex. Pierce then turns and handsprings into the ropes and goes for the Shapeshifter, but Creek uses his feet and kicks up. This causes Pierce to fly back and slam hard back first. He gets up and Creek grabs him and pumphandles him and slams him down. Creek then gets up and tags in Aries. Aries enters and stomps Pierce over and over in the head. Belmont snaps at him and Aries just smirks before grabbing Pierce and running him over to the corner, face first into the middle turnbuckle. Pierce’s head snaps back and he turns around. Aries meanwhile runs around the ring and then runs at Pierce and hits a cannonball into the Pierce.
Sharper: “Aries throwing himself at Wil Pierce. The cannonball after driving him into the turnbuckle.”
Knots: “Hurting Pierce while getting under Belmont’s skin a bit.”
Aries then drags Pierce out and goes for the pin.
1!
2!
Belmont breaks it up. Aries falls back and turns and rolls out of the ring before Creek enters. Belmont looks at him and then walks around the ring. Aries turns and goes to Pierce and clubs him in the back once and then again before whipping him into the neutral corner. He turns and goes for the Helluva Kick, but Pierce moves out of the way and Aries gets caught in the corner. He winces and Pierce runs into the ropes, changing direction off the rebound and hitting the Code Black to Aries after he gets free from the corner. The crowd ohs. Aries staggers out and down to the mat. Pierce tags in Belmont. Belmont climbs up to the top rope and Pierce grabs him and throws him off the top rope with the rocket launcher! Belmont stays on Aries for the pin.

2!
Aries gets his shoulder up. The crowd ohs.
Sharper: “And Aries just got his shoulder up. Just got that shoulder up.”
Knots: “That was too close…Alex Belmont almost pinned the World Champion!”
Belmont gets up as Aries rolls over. He winces as Belmont tags Pierce back in and Belmont drags Aries up and runs him into Pierce. Pierce hits a spinebuster and Belmont runs past and Aries slowly gets up only for Belmont to hit the penalty kick. Pierce goes for the pin. Belmont runs over and nails Creek with a couple of hard shots.

Aries gets his shoulder up again. Belmont backs up and Creek steps. He then steps forward and goes to grab Belmont, but instead, he manages to get free and exits the ring. Creek then goes to exit the ring, but Pierce runs up behind him and boots him in the head. Creek goes over the top rope of the floor. Pierce then turns around, but walks into Aries who hoists him up and spins around in the airplane spin before hitting the Annunaki Annihilator. The crowd ohs as Aries falls back as Pierce is laid out.
Sharper: “Pierce and Belmont had all that momentum. But Pierce focusing on getting Creek out let Aries recover enough and those double knees into the jaw.”
Knots: “But Aries needs to cover. He needs to get there and end this.”
Aries looks around and goes for the pin.
1!
2!
Belmont breaks it up. Aries rolls off. Belmont then stomps Aries in the back of the head once and then again and again before then grabbing him and dragging him up and moving him into the corner. He goes to whip Aries across, but Aries spins through and sends Belmont in. Aries turns as Pierce kicks Aries in the ribs. He goes to hoist him up and goes for the Final Vent before Creek then grabs Belmont and locks in the Canary. He keeps it on as he steps into the ring. Aries slides down behind Pierce and Pierce steps up and Creek grabs him by the throat too. The crowd roars as Creek has the Canary locked in on both. Pierce and Belmont try to fight as they then manage to push Creek back together to the ropes. But as this happens, the crowd keeps cheering. We then see Amy Chastaine running to the ring, chair in hand.
Sharper: “Canary on both Belmont and Pierce!”
Knots: “You can’t fight it!”
Sharper: “But you may be able to fight this!”
Amy then runs up behind and slams the chair into the back of Waylon. Creek falls forward and to a knee as he pushes Belmont and Pierce back. The bell sounds. Chastaine then climbs to the top rope. Creek starts to get up and Chastaine dives off and hits the BlackOut. The crowd erupts.
Sharper: “Blackout on Waylon Creek! Two weeks in a row – Amy Chastaine getting some revenge for Creek throwing her off the stage!”
Knots: “But it disqualified the Shinigami Foundation”
Sharper: “She saw the Canary and I think she thought it was over. The Canary has been that dominant.”
Chastaine gets up and looks at Creek. She leans over.
Chastaine: “Threaten my career. I’ll be the biggest thorn in your side!”
Chastaine backs up as the crowd roars. Aries runs at her and Chastaine leaves the ring. Aries looks at Chastaine as Chastaine backs up before Aries then sighs before suddenly, we see Pierce and Belmont they spin Aries around and Pierce kicks Aries in the ribs. Belmont exits to the apron. The crowd erupts in cheers.
Sharper: “Wait a minute! The Shinigami Foundation have the World Champion! They have the World Champion!”
Knots: “No! Ring the bell!”
The bell sounds again, but this time, Pierce turns, extending Aries out as Heaven holds his hands on his head. We then see Belmont get to the top and dive off with a leg drop, the Shinigami Foundation hitting the Disasterpiece on Aries. Belmont rolls off as Pierce throws him down. Pierce gets up and smacks the mat in a bit of frustration.
Sharper: “And the Tag Titles prove to be another achilles maybe. Fall of Man down a man, and now seeing their actions lead to some other consequences. Shinigami didn’t win, but they’re standing tall!”
Knots: “This isn’t going to go down well. Not at all.”
Belmont gets up and looks at Aries as Creek is down. Chastaine backs up shrugging and turns to the back. Heaven looks in the ring, clearly upset as Belmont turns to Heaven.
Belmont: “Next time, we’re taking the titles! You’re not invincible! They’re not invincible!”
Belmont jaws at Heaven as Heaven continues to just look in the ring as the scene fades out.
COMMERCIALS
Backstage, we see Waylon Creek walking down the hallway as we then see Heaven walking over to him.
Heaven: “Hey! Waylon!”
Waylon at first doesn’t respond.
Heaven: “WAYLON!”
Heaven snaps at his client. Waylon stops and turns around. Heaven then walks up to him. Aries watches.
Heaven: “Adding more to your hit list.”
Creek: “They should’ve have been that competitive with us! They stood over us at the end!”
Heaven: “That’s exactly what Amy hoped for. But they also were pissed off about the titles. With CHBK trying to find any way to stop us…I won’t be surprised to see them get another crack. You need to be focused. Like Giovanni is.”
Aries: “Two children got to pretend to play with their favourite toy. They didn’t get it. They threw a tantrum and while I don’t appreciate what they did to me, I’m still focusing on the bigger picture. More people showing they just want gold. They just want attention. They want the Lizard Kingdom to recognize them. You need to start snuffing it out.”
Creek says nothing.
Heaven: “Waylon…you have too many vendettas. Every weakness magnified. Xander…he’s Giovanni’s problem. He will end his hope to end us. Ryan…I’m sorry. But CHBK won’t even respond. You need to put her aside. For now. There’s a clear option for you right now. And it’s one that will serve your career well and remind the world who you are. A former World Champion. A hall of famer. And she wants your attention.”
Creek takes a deep breath. Heaven then smacks him. Creek looks at Heaven.
Heaven: “I get it. The World Title still matters to you.”
Aries: “It won’t need to. Instead, you will be feared. You will be dominant. Amy is trying to take that from you. Listen to him.”
Creek: “Both you and James trying to instill lessons. I know I’m a weapon-“
Heaven: “They were brought in to facilitate your rise. And for you to learn, while undoing past wrongs…now, it’s time to course correct, especially after James’s stupid decision. We are still the most dominant team. Hubris has no more place in what we do.”
Creek: “So Amy…”
Heaven: “Amy…”
Creek: “And Shinigami….”
Heaven: “Remember what Light in the Darkness had to close out last year. After match after match…Are they a threat to you? To us? We adapted and we destroyed!”
Aries smiles. Creek nods.
Heaven: “Come on.”
Heaven steps forward as Aries walks up to Creek.
Aries: “We almost have the stranglehold on everything. Remember that.”
Aries then walks past Creek. Creek looks up and then smacks himself in the face, almost to refocus himself before turning and following Aries.
“Wild Thing” by X plays as the crowd roars. A few moments pass before we see Chris Dumont walking out from the back. He looks around as David Striker then walks out with him, joined by Irvine and Kyle Gibson. The Phantom Troupe stands on the stage as the cheers continue to grow.
Sharper: “Last week, Chris Dumont took on James Evans in an impromptu challenge-“
Knots: “Don’t remind of this. One of the worst days in professional wrestling history.”
Sharper: “James Evans injured in the process as we discussed earlier. Not only that, but Dumont made sure to make things interesting for the Fall of Man and especially William Heaven.”
LAST WEEK:
Evans turns and throws Dumont into the stage bracing. The crowd ohs Dumont hits hard. Evans then grabs him and drags him over and then elbows him in the head. He then takes a moment, clearly showing he is hurt and hoists him up onto his shoulders. Evans grits his teeth, but then can’t stand up and Dumont slides behind him. Evans staggers forward and turns around only for Dumont to hit the Code Zero on Evans. Evans staggers back and falls to the stage, a few feet from the edge.
Sharper: “The Code Zero set this all up and a bit of poetic justice. After the Fall of Man attacked Amy Chastaine and Simon Lyman and threw Amy off the stage. Intended or not, Dumont did the same.”
Knots: “Yeah! After assaulting me!”
Evans hold his jaw as Dumont looks at him and then kicks him in the ribs. He then double underhooks him and the crowd roars as he then hoists Evans up. Dumont muscles Evans up and then steps forward and jumps off, with Evans, driving him through a camera platform on the side of the stage. The crowd ohs as they go through the platform, but the walls remain up, failing to give a clear shot the landing. A few moments pass as we see Evans down as Dumont crawls over and throws an arm onto him.
Sharper: “The Nightrider off the stage. Evans down. But then Dumont made sure to do one thing. He covered him and counted a fall. Evans said that if Dumont could pin his shoulders down for a three count, Heaven would pull the order of protection.”
Knots: “Why are we listening to Evans? Heaven didn’t agree to it!”
Sharper: “Dumont told him that he’s going to have to make a decision there last week. Decision-time is now!”
We see him counting himself down.
1!
2!
3!
Dumont looks at him and pushes off. The crowd roars as Dumont rolls over. We see now officials running over to check on Evans and Dumont. Dumont pulls away and climbs over the wall and down to the floor. The Breakdown logo comes up on the screen.
We cut to the ring where we see David Striker jawing at Knots. Knots just looks at him, glaring at him before then starting to rub his eye with his middle finger. Dumont has a microphone in his hand. The music fades out as Dumont walks over to the ropes.
Dumont: “Hubris is a funny thing. I remember a few months ago that I had some people telling me that I was being the one that was running my mouth or doing the stupid things. Well, let’s make this simple…it’s decision-time, Heaven.”
Dumont looks out at the main camera.
Dumont: “James Evans made the claim. He’s the one who ran his mouth. He wanted to feel good and thought he could beat me to make himself feel important again after he lost the World Title. Well, right now, James Evans is laid up in bed and needing to take a crap in a metal tin. One down…and Xander…you’re God damned welcome.”
The crowd roars as Dumont pauses.
Dumont: “But he said it…allow me to repeat it…if I could come down to this ring and pin his shoulders down for three….Heaven’s Order of Protection goes…And I did just that. Oh…and you were the one who left in an ambulance. Not me!”
Dumont looks at the camera.
Dumont: “This has been bubbling for too long. From having your goon take out Aisling Reed. To threatening this sport, this promotion, and what is stands for. For pissing us off while your son makes a mockery of everything. Heaven! I know you’re here. We just saw you. And right now, you can make something clear. You’re either a coward…or you can honour your own man’s promise…and you can finally do the first thing you’ve ever done as a man!”
Knots: “That’s rich for you to call people cowards when you spend your time threatening managers and punching announcers.”
Jonathan Knots stands up, microphone in his hand.
Sharper: “Jon, what are you doing?”
Knots steps out from behind the desk.
Knots: “In fact, all I see in the ring are four cowards.”
Striker steps forward to exit the ring.
Knots: “Do it Striker. Come on out. Prove to the world that I’m right. Come and attack me again. David Striker – came in like a lightning bolt, had wars with Kimberly Williams, and then the only other thing he did was punch an announcer because his little feelings were hurt.”
Dumont: “Sometimes people need to be reminded not to say things. Some people tend to say things because they know they won’t get smacked around.”
Knots: “And some people are just bullies. You don’t like that I support the Fall of Man. They’ve earned. Two World Champions. Heaven is a man with a focus. Creek IS the future of this sport. You can disagree with me. You know how…BEAT THEM! And last week, you finally got lucky. Too bad James had to get hurt-“
Dumont: “Contact sport Jon. He ran his mouth. Play stupid games. Win stupid prizes.”
Knots: “Well good…that brings me to this. Because I’ve been having some negotiations with Heaven and sorry, Chris, he’s not coming out. He’s got more important things to worry about. But I’m a nice guy…and I think you need to get your ass kicked.”
Dumont chuckles.
Dumont: “Fine…come into the ring. We can fight. I’ll give you the first shot.”
Knots: “I’m not going to do that. Why? I’m going to sit here and do what I’m paid to do and what I know I’m damn good at. Calling the action. So I share an opinion. Sue me or shut me up by winning. How about I find someone to step into the ring against you? You win, good on you. I win…then you can bend down and beg for my forgiveness.”
Dumont: “Jon…I may not have been doing this as long as you or Heaven, but that’s not much of an offer. I’m out here for one simple reason. I want Heaven scared. I want him to know that he can’t run his mouth. Just like you should realize. You’re lucky I got one shot in.”
Knots: “And you’re lucky I don’t press charges and we do the same song and dance. And this time, repeat offender. How much longer until you’re pretty much blackballed from the sport because you can’t leave the country?”
Striker walks over to Dumont and says something to him. Dumont shakes his head.
Dumont: “Nah, Dave. You moved on. You have something in mind. That’s good work. This I need for me. And if I need to mess with this small fish, then so be it. Because I don’t have a problem knocking an asshole down a few pegs. Knots…I’ll agree to your little match on one condition.”
Knots: “What? Name it!”
Dumont smirks.
Dumont: “You can choose who you want. I’ll even give you your stip. But again, this is about Heaven. And you’re working with him. You can convince him. Either I will make sure that he’ll need to sideline Waylon Creek’s huge career in front of him turning him into a glorified bodyguard so we can watch the Fall of Man become irrelevant by the end of the summer. And trust me…I can be VERY annoying.”
Knots just looks at Dumont.
Dumont: “Or we add this stipulation…at Rise to Greatness, if I beat your man, I get five minutes alone with William Heaven!”
The crowd roars. Knots looks around.
Knots: “No…no….that’s-“
Just then, “This is How A Heart Breaks” by Rob Thomas starts to play and the crowd erupts. Knots looks at the stage as Dumont turns as CHBK walks out from the back.
Sharper: “The COO coming out here…and this is just devolved. Dumont is focused on Heaven. Jon, what were you thinking?”
CHBK has a microphone in his hand and he looks down at the ring.
CHBK: “You know what…I think we need someone else involved in this negotiation. You know…someone who…can make matches around here.”
Dumont starts to smirk as Knots then shakes his head.
Knots: “No. Don’t worry – you have more important things to do-“:
CHBK: “No, in fact, nothing is more important than the card for Rise to Greatness. And well, I think we have something here. Jon…Chris. At Rise to Greatness, Chris Dumont, you’ll face whomever Jonathan Knots can get to compete for him at Rise to Greatness. If Jon’s wrestler wins, he can enjoy his humiliation of you. But if you win Chris, you get your five minutes with Heaven. But…until then, Heaven is off limits.”
The crowd roars as Dumont smiles.
Dumont: “I can live with that.”
Knots: “Wait! Wait-“
CHBK: “I hope you have a good option. Think Ryan Lyman’s going to be okay with this?”
“This is How a Heart Breaks” plays as CHBK turns and smirks and returns to the back. Knots just looks down, looking around. He heads back over to the announce position as Striker just smirks and mocks Knots.
Sharper: “Jon…You could have just avoided saying anything.”
Knots just looks down.
Sharper: “Jon…”
Knots: “I…I can’t talk to Heaven about that. I…”
Sharper: “You were talking to Ryan Lyman earlier.”
Knots: “Look, just….just move on! Move on!”
Knots runs his hand through his hair, placing his head in his hands as the scene cuts away.
Jaina Lancaster stands backstage outside of the locker rooms with Selena Frost. Selena looks around, eyes darting around, seemingly watching for something.
Jaina: “I’m here with Selena Frost…and Selena, are you okay?”
Selena: “Me? Why?”
Jaina: “You seem to be looking around.”
Selena: “When you have a target on your back like I do…do I trust Giovanni or Xander or Cid to not try something. They already did in the Tag Title defense.”
Jaina: “You did seemingly start that in motion.”
Selena: “Oh for them it’s a tit for tat. They want to feel good. Stand tall. I’m not looking for that. I’m just looking to remove the unnecessary. Xander and Cid…they’ve admitted it, both breaking down. They may still be able to go, but the question is whether their bodies let them. I don’t really care. While there’s a lot of nice connections to the past, they’re still there if I remove them beforehand. I said I would go through Xander, I would go through Cid, I would go through Giovanni. Three people I have gone through in the past and I would do it again to get my title back. That will happen…but why if I just remove the wheat from the chaff.”
Jaina: “You’re openly hoping to take people out on the road to Rise to Greatness?”
Selena: “Why not? Why not remove the pretense? It’s what we’re all trying to do. And ultimately, the ends justify the means here. That title needs to return to my waist. The wild west was a joke as I saw it. And it needs security. It needs consistency. I’ve lost one match since Rise to Greatness. And it was the Trios Tournament finals. One on one, no one can touch me-“
Jaina: “That’s really it. You want Giovanni Aries one on one.”
Selena: “I want the World Title. Cid can have his inspirational speeches. Xander can talk about destroying Fall of Man. Giovanni Aries can cackle and hold everything hostage. It all ends with me. Believe it!”
Selena goes to leave.
Jaina: “One more question…Asher Hayes walked Deanna back to her locker room after Deanna acknowledge his title reign. Any thoughts?”
Selena pauses a moment. She then turns around.
Selena: “Deanna is far more forgiving than me. Asher Hayes is still a snake. And I’ll stand over him again tonight.”
Selena turns and walks off. Jaina watches her leave as the scene slowly fades to commercial.

We cut to a shot of Steve Griffin hitting a top rope decimator on CHBK from Rise to Greatness 2003, before cutting to a shot of Alistaire Allocco proudly holding the SCW World Championship and then showing a shot of Kelcey Wallace, Trinity Street and Lucas Knight standing over Ravyn Taylor and Kennedy Street at another Rise to Greatness event. A shot of Kandis smiling as she looks at the World Championship in her hand follows.
“This is your Rise to Greatness Rewind.”
The scene opens in the ring at Rise to Greatness 2015. We cut to the end of the Blood Grove vs. Requiem Thunderdome match. Red Rayne walks over to the sledgehammer and lifts it up. She then looks at it and smiles before turning to Matt Auclair. Auclair walks over to Rachel Foxx and grabs her by the hair. He then headbutts her in the back of the head. She falls to a knee. Rayne then holds up the sledgehammer. Dillusion looks on as the crowd boos.
Sharper: “Oh God…they’re going to execute her!”
Knots: “Well Foxx…thanks for coming out. Great to know you.”
Rayne then steps forward, but Dillusion grabs the sledgehammer. Rayne stops and turns. Auclair throws Foxx down and Rayne turns and Dillusion shakes his finger. The crowd roars. Dillusion then kicks Rayne in the ribs and throws down the sledgehammer. Auclair turns and nails him with a hard right to the ribs and then again, but Dillusion knees him in the chest and then kicks him in the ribs. Auclair swings, but Dillusion catches him and throws him over with an exploder suplex. The crowd roars.
Sharper: “Dillusion! Stepping in to save Rachel Foxx!”
Knots: “He’s always said that Rachel Foxx would go down at his hands! I guess he’s honouring that!”
Sharper: “Exploder on Auclair!”
The crowd cheers as Dillusion gets up and Red Rayne kicks him in the chest. She then boots him in the face. Red Rayne then turns around to grab the sledgehammer, but Foxx has it as the crowd cheers. She then turns and nails Rayne in the ribs with it. Rayne drops down to her hands and knees. Foxx then jumps up and drives the hammer head into the back of Rayne. Rayne drops to the mat. Foxx just looks at her and then Dillusion as Dillusion looks at Rachel Foxx. Foxx gets up as “Take Me to Church” starts to play. Dillusion just nods as Foxx then falls over to her side and winces.
Sharper: “My God! Rachel Foxx has just taken out Red Rayne!”
Knots: “The sledgehammer to the ribs…to the back of the head. Red Rayne is unconscious….I hope!”
Sharper: “She’s still breathing…but Rachel Foxx standing tall…thanks to Dillusion’s assist…but we need help.”
Knots: “I hope the EMTs are ready.”
The Rise to Greatness XXII logo comes up on the screen.
We return to ringside where we see Jonathan Knots on the phone.
Knots: “Hello! Hello…damn it. I can’t get a signal in here.”
Sharper: “What are you on about?”
Knots: “Just ignore it! Okay!”
Oskar Theron vs. Chris Lawler
SCW Television Championship
Ride
The Lightning by Metallica plays over the sound system as Oskar walks through
the curtain, holding up his Norwegian flag, wearing Norway flame lightning bolt
flag trousers with The European Fiery Nation logo attached to his trousers,
wearing MMA gloves and wrestling boots with Ginny Raab behind him. He gets many
boos as he walks to the ring, ignoring the fans. He stands on the ramp, using
the lightning bolt signals.
Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall with a fifteen minute
time limit and is for the SCW Television Championship. First, the challenger, from
Oslo, Norway, accompanied by Ginny Raab, he is Oskar Theron!”
He walks to the ring before sliding under the ropes before holding them open
for Ginny to get in, and he goes on the turnbuckle to do his lightning bolt
sign, with Ginny applauding Oskar before he puts himself in a corner. He holds
the ropes open again for Ginny to leave the ring before turning to the opposite
end of the corner of looking at his opponent, waiting for the match to begin.
Sharper: “Chris Lawler again is the Television Champion, defeating Dante Slayton last week. Tonight, he gets back to the grind of defending the title and against Norway’s finest.”
Knots: “And Lawler’s been pushing himself hard as late. He better be ready for that grind. Oskar Theron is hoping to finally earn his first bit of SCW gold tonight.”
The
dimmed lights cast an atmosphere of anticipation as the arena falls into
darkness, the only illumination coming from the pulsating strobe lights. The
crowd's murmurs fade into a hush as the opening chords of "Warrior"
by Imagine Dragons reverberate through the speakers, electrifying the air with
anticipation.
From the depths of the darkness, a figure emerges, his silhouette outlined
against the backdrop of flashing lights. With each step, the floor trembles
beneath his feet, echoing the determination that propels him forward. It's
Chris Lawler, a titan among men, his presence commanding attention as he
strides purposefully down the entrance ramp. The SCW Television Championship is
around his waist.
Phillips:
“His opponent, from Nashville, Tennessee, he is the SCW Television Champion,
Chris Lawler!”
His eyes, a piercing shade of blue, remain fixed on the ring ahead, unwavering
in their focus as if they could pierce through the very fabric of reality.
Ignoring the cacophony of cheers and jeers that surround him, Lawler remains
resolute in his mission, his gaze locked on the squared circle where his
destiny awaits. As Lawler reaches the foot of the ring, the strobe lights reach
a crescendo, bathing him in a pulsating glow of light and shadow. With a subtle
nod to the crowd, Lawler ascends the steel steps, each footfall a testament to
his unwavering determination. Finally, he steps between the ropes, his presence
filling the ring with an aura of intensity and purpose. Standing tall in the
center of the ring, Lawler raises his gaze to the heavens, a silent vow etched
upon his features. He hands off the title as the SCW Television Championship
logo comes across the screen. The official, Steve Hollinsworth, holds the title
over his head and hands it off.
Sharper: “Lawler looking forward. Looking to this. He has had his frustrations, but one thing the TV Title can do is if you have momentum, it can keep it going. You’re consistently on.”
Knots: “But it can also wear you down and that’s what’s brought down a lot of other TV Champions.”
The bell sounds. Lawler and Theron step up and lock up in the middle of the ring. Lawler turns and wrenches the arm. Theron winces as Lawler jerks on the arm again. Theron falls to a knee. He then gets up and flips forward and nips up and ducks under and into a side headlock. Lawler reaches around and pulls him into the ropes. He fires him off. Theron bounces off and Lawler shoulders him down. Lawler runs into the ropes. He hops over Theron and bounces off the other side. Theron leapfrogs over Lawler. Lawler ducks under and bounces off the ropes. Theron hits a jumping dropkick. Lawler hits the mat. He pops up and Theron runs over and forearms him in the jaw. He then grabs him and snapmares him over and then pushes him down and hits a flipping senton. He then hooks the leg.

Lawler kicks out. Theron rolls off as Lawler turns to the ropes. Theron runs over to him and Lawler gets an elbow up.
Sharper: “Fast pace may help the challenger, but right there, Theron ran into Lawler’s elbow.”
Knots: “Just popped him in the jaw!”
Lawler runs out and clotheslines Theron down. Theron rolls over and gets up and Lawler drops him with a haymaker. Theron pops back up and Lawler kicks him in the ribs and then hits a vertical suplex. He floats over into a pin.

Theron kicks out. Both get up and Lawler elbows Theron the back of the head. He elbows him again. Theron moves to the corner and Lawler hits a back elbow. He then goes to whip him across, but Theron spins through and sends Lawler in. Theron runs after and hits a running dropkick. Lawler stumbles forward and down to the mat. He rolls over and gets up and Theron grabs him from behind into a full nelson, briefly hoisting him up and spinning him around into a reverse STO. The crowd ohs. He rolls Lawler over for the pin.
Knots: “Oh!”
Sharper: “Spinning him down. Face first into the mat!”

Lawler kicks out. Lawler rolls over and Theron grabs him and pulls him down by the head into his knee. Lawler falls to his hands and knees. Theron runs into the ropes, bouncing off and Lawler turns and hits an uppercut. Theron falls to the ropes. He then shakes it off and steps forward into a powerslam from Lawler. He hooks the leg.

Theron kicks out. Both men get up and Lawler kicks him in the ribs. He then goes to whip him into the ropes, but again Theron spins through. Lawler is sent in. Theron jumps up for a frankensteiner, but Lawler catches him and hits a snap powerbomb. The crowd ohs. Lawler exits to the apron. He then climbs up to the top rope. He dives off with the Air Assault!
Sharper: “Lawler with his whole body into that. He’s looking to take out Theron and retain! Big cover!”
1!
2!
Theron gets his shoulder up.
Knots: “Not yet. Oskar Theron, the pride of Oslo, saying not yet!”
Theron rolls over and winces. Lawler gets up and stomps him in the back of the head. Oskar rolls over and Lawler stomps him again. He then drags him up and pulls him up into the corner. Lawler then hits a hard right and then a left before a series of hard rights and lefts to the ribs. He whips Oskar across. Lawler runs after and Theron gets his boots up. Lawler falls back from the impact. Oskar then jumps to the middle turnbuckle and hits a double stomp. The crowd ohs. Lawler rolls over, holding his chest in pain. Theron runs into the ropes, bouncing to the middle rope and diving back with the Diamond Bolt Cutter. He then turns and exits to the apron. He climbs up to the top rope. He looks out and extends his arms. He goes for a high-angle senton bomb and connects. He turns and dives onto Lawler, hooking the leg.

2!
Lawler shoots his shoulder up. The crowd ohs.
Sharper: “Huge swanton and still only two!”
Knots: “Lawler not going to lose that title that easily. He was crafty last week. He’s digging deep tonight!”
Oskar looks around and then turns and grabs Lawler. He then pulls him up and then kicks him in the ribs. He pushes him back and then pulls him in, but Lawler gets his arm up and clotheslines him down. Oskar rolls over and turns and falls into the corner where Lawler runs at him and hits the Blitz Kick. Oskar falls out of the corner and down to the mat. He rolls over and Lawler runs into the ropes, bouncing off and Oskar turns to him only to meet a running knee to the face. Oskar falls back and Lawler turns and hooks the leg.
Sharper: “Final Judgment!”

The crowd roars as the bell sounds Lawler rolls off and gets up.
Knots: “And that gets it done. Lawler did not hesitate!”
Sharper: “Not at all and wait! Someone else isn’t! Lawler! Behind!”
Phillips: “Here is your winner and still SCW Television Champion-“
Lawler gets up only for Dante Slayton to slide into the ring behind him. He then runs over to Lawler and spins him around and then pulls him into the Devil Trigger! The crowd ohs. Slayton looks down at Lawler before then pulling him back up. He then hoists him up and drops him again, this time with the Dante’s Inferno. The bell sounds as Lawler rolls over, holding his head and neck. Slayton just looks down at Lawler before reaching into his pocket and pulling out a marker. He uncaps it and kneels down on the throat of Lawler. He then marks him on the arm before then drawing an X on his chest and then one on his forehead. He throws the marker off before looking down at him.
Slayton: “You owe me a pound of flesh and I'm coming to collect. Be seeing you real soon…”
Slayton then calmly stands up.
Sharper: “Slayton assaulting Lawler and then literally marking him with a marker in the ring!”
Knots: “I don’t think he’s taking the loss of his title well!”
Slayton then calmly steps out of the ring. The camera moves to him as he walks past it, whistling a tune to himself. The camera picks it up as he starts to walk to the back. Lawler writhes in pain in the ring as the scene cuts away.
Backstage, we see Chris and Ryan Hollywood talking to one another in one of the locker rooms.
Ryan: “Have you had the nightmares?”
Chris sighs.
Chris: “More just…shake my head. Visions of THEM. I didn’t realize the Illuminati had rebranded.”
Ryan: “Really an odd choice. That’s really simple. But then, it adds they could be everywhere.”
Chris: “But the ninja thing? That’s sooooooo 1990s.”
Ryan: “Or 1980s.”
Chris: “Ugh, I know and-“
Suddenly, randomly, an explosion goes off to the side. At least we think it was an explosion. More a loud crash and smoke. And we then suddenly see a larger man running into the room and then running over to Chris, yelling in English with a German accent.
Man: “You! Have you gotten anything from THEM?!”
The man then throws Chris back. He turns to Ryan.
Man: “You!”
The man throws Ryan back and into the cameraman. The cameraman goes down and then turns. Someone else enters the room, their boots stopping in front of the camera. The camera then slowly starts to pan up, revealing a well-built man, before moving up to the mouth, where the man is smoking a cigar. He pulls it down as the camera settles on the face, revealing it to be Arnold Braunschweiger. The crowd erupts. The camera turns to show the German man looking at Braunschweiger before showing Ryan and Chris Hollywood looking on in awe.
Braunschweiger: “Now…I hear you have a problem with THEM!”
The camera focuses on him before freezing as “To Be Continued….” Comes up on the screen. A few moments pass before Breakdown cuts to commercial.

Colleen MacDonald vs. Meghan Strader
"Unchained” begins to play as the houselights slowly dim. At the twelve second mark, lights start flickering as the beat and rhythm of the song get louder.
~Alright!
Haaa-ha-ha-ha!
You say, I cannot get there from here, baby
Then I don't care where I'm goin'~
The big screen lights up with the chrome ‘S’ emblem and explodes into shots of Meghan Strader in action. Her name flashes on the screen, and a small amount of Pyro shoots off as Meghan steps out from behind the curtain.
~Thought you'd never miss me till I got a fat city address
Non-stop talker, what a rocker
Blue-eyed murder in a size five dress~
Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a thirty minute time limit. First, on her way to the ring, hailing from London, Ontario Canada, she is Meghan Strader!”
~Change, nothin' stays the same
Unchained, and ya hit the ground runnin'
Change, ain't nothin' stays the same
Unchained, yeah ya hit the ground runnin'~
Meghan stops and waves at the crowd as she shifts her hips to the right side. She makes her way down to ringside.
~I know, I don't ask for permission
This is my chance to fly
Maybe enough ain't enough for you
But it's my turn at a try~
Meghan finger pistols to fans in the crowd.
~ Thought you'd never miss me till I got a fat city address
Non-stop talker, what a rocker
Blue-eyed murder in a size five dress ~
Meghan stops halfway down, looks side to side, raises up her arms and the entire stage explodes in gold and silver pyrotechnics as the family sneer comes across Meghan’s face.
~Change, nothin' stays the same
Unchained, and ya hit the ground runnin'
Change, ain't nothin' stays the same
Unchained, yeah ya hit the ground runnin'~
At that Meghan turns it into a stride and slides under the bottom rope into the ring and jumps up to the top turnbuckle as she raises her fist in the air. She steps down and awaits her opponent.
Sharper: “Meghan Strader has been going to war with Syren. She tried to attack her last week. SCW officials now getting involved and trying to limit the brawling. But Strader made a few claims to Lucas Knight.”
Knots: “She’s not the only one. Several people are wondering if Syren is being protected. Then again, if someone gave a damn about everyone equally, I wouldn’t have been clocked in the jaw by a coward!”
A coin can be heard dropping into a coin slot, followed by a few girls giggling. But before “C’est La Vie” by B*Witched can even begin, Colleen steps out onto the stage from the backstage area, wearing her normal all-black ring gear and wearing the SCW Underground Championship. Colleen does a cutthroat signal. The music turns off as she stands still and waits until the beginning of “How Far I’ll Go” by Auli’i Cravalho begins to play. Colleen nods once before beginning to slowly head down the entrance ramp.
Phillips: “Her opponent, from Orderville, Utah, she is the SCW Underground Champion, Colleen MacDonald!”
The crowd does keep their eyes on her as she looks straight down at the ring. She keeps going until she arrives down at the ring. Not quickening her pace, she steps up the steel ring steps and climbs over the top rope to get into the ring. Once inside she does look around the arena. She simply approves of her surroundings before she turns to the business at hand, warming up before the bell rings.
Sharper: “Enigma certainly sending a message to Colleen earlier. Putting Adonis down for the count for good measure before accepting her challenge.”
Knots: “Colleen has her own issues. I just don’t know if this is to help Polly too.”
Sharper: “I doubt that. More that Colleen wanted a fight and Strader is a fighter.”
The bell sounds and Colleen steps up to Meghan and blasts her with a hard right. The crowd roars. Meghan turns and blasts her with one back. The crowd roars as Meghan and Colleen trade right hands in the middle of the ring, going back and forth.
Sharper: “Well here’s the fight! Colleen bringing the Underground to the non-Underground!”
Knots: “And Meghan happy to oblige!”
They trade a few more blows before Meghan starts to get the advantage, nailing her with another shot and then another and another. Colleen ends up at the ropes. Meghan turns and fires Colleen off. She bounces off and Meghan clotheslines her down. She dives back and starts to hammers away on Colleen. The crowd roars as she nails her over and over again. She pulls off as Colleen turns, touching her lip, revealing it to be bleeding. She then starts to get up and Meghan kicks her in the ribs. She chops her. Colleen falls to the corner. Meghan chops her again. Woos follow. She then goes to whip Colleen into the corner, but Colleen spins through and sends Meghan in. Colleen runs after and drives her shoulder into the ribs of Meghan. Meghan grimaces and staggers out. Colleen follows up and clubs her in the back of the head and then again before then spinning her around and just leveling her with a standing clothesline.
Sharper: “Not the prettiest, but damn sure effective. Meghan Strader floored by that clothesline.”
Knots: “Colleen seems to be enjoying it too. Why not?! Enigma! This is in your future!”
Meghan starts to get up and Colleen spins her around, scooping her up and slamming her down. She runs into the ropes, bouncing off and hitting a running senton backsplash. She turns and back and hooks the leg.

Sharper: “Colleen reviving herself and with a big counter. The jawbreaker. The spear. The hip check.”
Knots: “And that took a lot out of her. But Meghan aint looking that good either.”
Meghan grabs at the ropes, trying to pull herself up and Colleen gets up and Meghan steps out and Colleen hoists her up onto her shoulders and then spins her out into a TKO. Colleen rolls Meghan over and hooks the leg.

Sharper: “Strader off the ropes, running up, driving Colleen MacDonald into the mat.”
Knots: “These two have just beat the hell out of each other. Strader may have the edge now.”
Sharper: “Watch the last few months? I would never count Colleen MacDonald out. Not after the wars she’s had in the Underground division.”
Meghan Strader turns and goes over to Colleen and grabs her and nails her with a series of hard forearm shots to the jaw. She gets up and walks around and then calls for the end. Colleen MacDonald slowly rolls over. She looks up at Meghan. Meghan then walks over and grabs her and sets up for the Blackened. Colleen, however, elbows out of it. Meghan spins around. The bell sounds as Meghan rolls off of Colleen. She then slowly starts to pull himself up. The official goes to raise her arm.
Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Meghan Strader!”
The crowd cheers a bit before suddenly “Groupie” starts to play and the crowd erupts. Meghan Strader turns and looks at the stage. As this happens, we see MacKenzie Strader, Tearra Skye, and a newer face to SCW television, Tiffany Lee, running along the floor, along the stage and quickly jumping up to get ready to protect their Matriarch. Meghan steps up as we see Syren walk out from the back, joined by Ravyn Taylor and Lexy Chapel. Syren has a microphone in her hand. She takes a few more steps before we see officials running out from the back, including SCW agents, Dean Black, Lucas Knight, Hiro Tanaka and Dillusion. They stand between Syren and her entourage and the Cowgirls from Hell. Syren just smirks.
Sharper: “And SCW officials making sure we won’t see more fireworks here.”
Knots: “Syren said she’d owe Meghan another loss. But I guess that’s not tonight.”
Syren: “Well, looks like Ravyn was right. Looks like we now can’t just get at one another.”
Meghan turns and demands a microphone.
Syren: “That’s fine. It’s probably best we actually deal with all of this. Because the fact is that you came in here talking about how you were going to be World Champion before this year was out. YOU attacked me first, knowing I would be a potential threat. And you’re right there, Meghan…”
Meghan turns back, now with a microphone in her hand.
Meghan: “You could’ve just moved on, Syren. I sent the shots across the bow. You could’ve realized that you should have stepped aside-“
Syren: “Then you don’t know the first thing about me. And if you don’t know that, you probably don’t have a hope in hell in getting the World Title. Because…well…Lexy…”
Lexy smiles as Syren holds the microphone to her.
Lexy: “Syren is a SEVEN TIME WORLD CHAMPION, bitches!”
Lexy yells out as Syren smirks as she brings the microphone back to her mouth.
Syren: “She likes saying that. She likes reminding the world that. Even had a video tribute done to remind me. Well, Meghan, that’s the only good thing. Thank you for reminding me who I am. And I’m not going anywhere. You want the World Title. I’m going to be in your way. And I still owe you a few more losses.”
Meghan: “If you want to go to war, I’m happy to accommodate. The Cowgirls from Hell are always happy there. But I hope you don’t plan to run. I also hope you know I owe you an ass-beating after you destroyed my wonderful ride and I will be coming for that plus interest. But since SCW right now is making sure we don’t settle anything tonight, do you have anything else to add or should you just leave your resume on the ring apron. I’ll then rip it to shreds and show you mine and we’ll be just dick measuring. So…”
Syren: “Oh that’s easy…I’m out here to shut you up. Or at least develop the means for that while we settle some debts. See, Rise to Greatness is around the corner. Now, I could stand here and I could just apparently wish CHBK to give it since people around here seem to think he’s in my back pocket because of my history. I heard what you said to Lucas-“
Meghan: “Well aint that grand. A lot of people wondering it and he was protecting you last week-“
Syren: “Then fine…Can my so called bodyguards get out of my way so Meghan and I can fight?”
Syren steps forward and the officials stop her.
Meghan: “Just get on with it. We know they’re not going to let us throw hands tonight.”
Syren: “So then let’s throw hands at Rise to Greatness. And I can then introduce you to exactly why you picked the wrong person to send a message to.”
The crowd roars.
Meghan: “You want to go down to me on the grandest stage…seven time former World Champion…I’d be honoured to kick your ass on that night. Just, Syren…I have done some homework. Show up this year.”
The crowd ohs.
Syren: “Oh I’ll be there. So will Lexy. So will Ravyn. And so will they be with me if you choose to try and jump me again before then. And before you get too ahead of yourself, you may have numbers right now, but we have a few favours we can call in to. So…tread carefully, Meghan. Because right now, all that awaits…is for you to be so totally jealous when I kick your ass at Rise to Greatness!”
Meghan: “Say that all you want Syren…but you’ll remember…God forgives…but I don’t!”
“Unchained” by Van Halen plays throughout the arena. The crowd roars as Meghan paces around the ring. Syren looks back at Meghan as the crowd continues to buzz. Officials remain between the two groups.
Sharper: “Syren laying down the challenge. Meghan Strader happy to accept! Rise to Greatness!”
Knots: “They’re going to beat the bell out of each other.”
Sharper: “It’s gotten more and more personal and they’ll clash at the biggest show of the year!”
The Breakdown logo comes up on the screen. We then see a shot of Kandis and Tommy Valentine walking backstage, before cutting to show the European Fiery Nation starting to make their way down the hallway.
Sharper: “Folks, it was broken up by the Product two weeks ago. Tonight, it’s underground rules. The European Fiery Nation; The Connection. They meet. Next!”
The scene fades out.
COMMERCIALS
Breakdown returns as we see Colleen MacDonald backstage, pacing. Jaina Lancaster stands with her.
Jaina: “Welcome back to Breakdown. Colleen MacDonald, the SCW Underground Champion is with me and it was a hard fought match, not the result you wanted-“
Colleen: “The result…I can live with. I can live with things if I’m beaten and fairly and Meghan at least gave me that. But what I have a problem with is that after – the stars come out and we move on. Meghan Strader beat the SCW Underground Champion. And I still don’t get the respect I should.”
Colleen pauses for a moment.
Colleen: “I saw that Enigma accepted my challenge. Good…I challenged him for a simple reason. I know he has a track record. I’ve heard he’s been around. I wanted a fight. I wanted a fight for my Underground Championship. To face those who would fit in the division – broadly defined. But it was also selfish. I saw the attention Enigma had after Taking Hold of the Flame. I had a taste of that same spotlight when I beat Kim. I crave respect. I want to earn that respect. And I want to keep that respect. And Enigma…I hope to earn your respect. Meghan moved on…that’ll I’ll remember more than anything. Enigma…the spiral is coming for me. We’ll see. Because I know where I went wrong tonight. I won’t make the same mistake at Rise to Greatness!”
Colleen then turns and storms off. Jaina turns to the camera.
Jaina: “Back to the ring.”
The Connection vs. The European Fiery Nation
Underground Rules
We see a list of scrambled letters flowing down the screen as we then see the lights stop to highlight “Tommy Valentine” before highlighting “Kandis” and then highlighting “The Connection.” “Trenches” by Pop Evil starts to play as the crowd cheers.
Phillips: “The following contest tonight on Breakdown is scheduled for onefall and has a twenty minute time limit and is Underground Rules. First, on their way to the ring, from Los Angeles, California, they are the team of Tommy Valentine and Kandis, they are the Connection!”
Kandis and Tommy Valentine walk out from the back in street clothes. The crowd cheers as they look around. Kandis just smirks as Tommy nods, enjoying it. They then turn and talk to one another before starting to head to the ring. The crowd continues to cheer as they make their way down to the ring. Kandis heads over to the steel steps and walks up them, Tommy admiring the view before she steps into the ring. Tommy then runs up and walks along the apron and enters the ring. Kandis and Tommy then both go to opposite corners and look out at the crowd before Tommy hops down.
Sharper: “Two weeks ago, The Connection faced the EFN in standard rules. Now its Underground Rules.”
Knots: “They’ve been cleared, right?”
Sharper: “They have. Both cleared, but again, Tommy – the damage to the leg. Nothing obvious right now, but I’m sure EFN will target it.”
“Off To
War” by Behemoth plays over the sound system with the lights going dark as
Ginny Raab walks out and stands in the middle of the stage, Ludvig and Kemal on
the left and Dakon and Oskar on the right-hand sides, looking at the crowd and
got heavy boos. When the lights briefly come back on, you see Dakon, Oskar,
Ludvig, Kemal and Ginny waving their Norway, Sweden, Turkey and German flags.
The five stand on the stage.
Phillips: “This opponents, making their way to the ring, accompanied by Ginny
Raab, Kemal Yilmaz and Oskar Theron, coming from Sweden and Norway, they are
Ludvig Eriksson and Dakon Theron, The European Fiery Nation."
The lights go out again as the group walk down to the ring with their flags and
step on the stairs, and do a hold-up in the middle of the ring as they gives
their flags to Ginny, and she leaves the ring to go to the back. Kemal and
Oskar talk to Dakon and Ludvig as Tommy and Kandis smirk, looking across the
ring. Kemal and Oskar then turn and start to walk around the ring, following
Ginny.
Sharper: “The European Fiery Nation have been waiting for more underground rules tag matches. They’ve got one.”
Knots: “And look at this – Oskar Theron, Kemal Yilmaz, they’re leaving. It’s going to be two on two!”
Sharper: “A surprising bit of honour here from the EFN.”
The bell sounds as Tommy runs at Dakon as Kandis runs at Ludvig. The two sides clash in the middle of the ring as the crowd roars. Several hard rights fly on both sides as Kandis attacks Eriksson, while Eriksson clubs on her back. Tommy and Dakon trade blows too before Dakon kicks Tommy in the knee and then grabs him and throws him through the ropes to the floor. Dakon follows. Ludvig clubs Kandis again and again and runs her into the corner. He then nails her with a European uppercut and then another one before Kandis rakes his eyes and spins him into the corner. Kandis hits a series of shoot kicks as Dakon grabs Tommy and runs him face first into the barricade. Tommy staggers off and Dakon follows and grabs him and then goes to drive him into the announce table. Tommy blocks it and then grabs Dakon and drives him face first into the announce table. He staggers back. Tommy then moves to the ring. He reaches underneath and looks around. Dakon heads back over to Tommy, but Tommy turns and drives the edge of a chair into his ribs. Dakon staggers back and Tommy slams the chair into the back of Dakon. Dakon falls into the barricade. Tommy then looks around. Kandis meanwhile snapmares Ludvig down in the ring. Kandis kicks him in the back. She then drops down to the floor.
Sharper: “Connection with the advantage. Hard kick to Ludvig Eriksson. Dakon Theron down and here comes Tommy!”
Knots: “Air Tommy!”
Tommy runs in and jumps up, dropkicking the chair into the face of Dakon Theron. The crowd ohs. Theron goes down. Kandis then looks under the ring and grabs a steel chair and slides it into the ring. She then pulls out a table, but Eriksson gets back up and runs across the ring and flips over the top rope, hitting a somersault plancha onto Kandis. The crowd ohs.
Sharper: “Over the top!”
Knots: “Did he hit the table?”
Sharper: “I don’t know, but he damn sure got Kandis!”
Kandis winces as Eriksson rolls over. He moves the table and grabs Kandis. He then goes to whip her into the ringpost, but Tommy runs over and catches her. Kandis smirks as Eriksson runs at Tommy. They both kick him in the ribs. Tommy then hoists Kandis up as if going for a back suplex only to run forward and throw her at Eriksson, hitting a seated senton onto Eriksson, driving him down to the mats. Tommy then grabs the table and lifts it up and slides it into the ring. He then turns to the ring, but Theron has rolled in. He then runs over and hits a baseball slide, driving the edge of the table into the ribs of Tommy. Tommy falls back in pain. The crowd ohs. Kandis turns and goes for the table, but Theron pulls it into the ring. Kandis slides in and swings, nailing Theron with a hard right and then another. She then goes to run him into the corner, but Theron blocks it and then hoists her up and places her on the top rope. Kandis sits on it and Theron turns and hits a running clothesline, knocking her to the floor. Theron then exits to the floor on another side of the ring.
Sharper: “Kandis landing hard over here. Hip first into the apron.”
Knots: “Something similar put James Evans out!”
Sharper: “And Dakon Theron looking for more plunder. More weapons.”
Eriksson is then shown whipping Tommy into the ringpost. Tommy spins out and down to the mats. He rolls over, wincing in pain. Eriksson then rolls into the ring as Theron pulls out a second table. He then unfolds the legs and places it down on the floor. He turns and looks under the ring again and looks for something else, pulling out a trash can with a couple of road signs, cooking sheets, and a kendo stick inside. He tosses it into the ring. He slides in as Eriksson lifts the table and places it in the corner. Kandis grabs at the ring and Theron and Eriksson go over and grab her by the arms under the bottom rope. They then drag her into the ring. Kandis elbows Eriksson and then nails Theron before Eriksson knees Kandis. Theron grabs a road sign and then slams it in the back of Kandis. She drops to her hands and knees. Theron then places the sign on Kandis’s lower back. Eriksson then steps over Kandis and into the hands of Theron. Theron launches him and hits a corkscrew moonsault into the sign into Kandis’s back. The crowd ohs. Theron rolls Kandis over for the pin.

Kandis kicks out. Theron rolls off as Eriksson gets up and hits an elbow drop onto Kandis. He gets up and grabs Kandis as Theron turns and goes for the trash can. Tommy however climbs up onto the apron. Theron goes to throw the trash can at him, but Tommy catches it. He then throws it back at Theron. The crowd ohs. Tommy then springboards to the top rope as Eriksson turns to him and Tommy hits a springboard front dropkick.
Sharper: “Tommy back in! Dropkick off the top! After telegraphing Theron attempt to stop him.”
Knots: “Just chucked that trash at him. Jesus!”
Theron rolls over as Kandis starts to get up and Tommy grabs him, but Theron elbows him. He then nails him with a hard right and then another and another before going to drive Tommy into the table set up in the corner. Tommy however stops himself and then ducks after Theron goes for a hard right. He then hits an inverted atomic drop. Theron drops to a knee and Kandis runs over and hits a running hip check into Theron, driving him through the table. The crowd roars.
Sharper: “Through the tab-“
Knots: “Ass to the face!”
Sharper: “And driving Theron through the table too!”
Kandis pulls herself out and her and Tommy go to Eriksson. They grab him, but quickly throw him down. The crowd boos as we see Isaac Stone and Alex Hudson running down from the back. Tommy quickly grabs a chair as Kandis grabs at trash can. They hop onto the apron and Tommy throws the chair at Alex, knocking him off as Kandis nails Isaac with the trash can. They fall back. Josh Hudson starts to walk down to the ring and he points at the ring, the crowd booing him. Alex and Isaac wince in pain, holding their heads as Kandis and Tommy keep one eye on the EFN and one eye on the Product each.
Sharper: “And of course the Product coming down-“
Knots: “No Holds Barred. They made it this way!”
Sharper: “It is, but even the EFN had some class and integrity!”
Josh Hudson yells at them to keep going when we see Oskar Theron, Kemal Yilmaz and Konrad Raab running down from the back. Yilmaz attacks Alex, while Oskar goes after Isaac. Josh turns and Konrad drills him with a European uppercut. He then spins him around and nails him with a hard right as Josh staggers off. Alex and Kemal trade blows as Isaac and Oskar do the same. Tommy and Kandis turn around, but are met by a double clothesline by Eriksson. Theron is back up and Tommy starts to stir and Eriksson grabs him and elbows him in the back of the head as Theron then comes over and they both pull him back and look around before dropping him down with a double reverse DDT on a steel chair.
Sharper: “Tommy driven into that steel chair. EFN taking advantage of the rest of the Fiery Nation going after the Product!”
Knots: “And they’re just throwing bombs in the rampway. Hard rights. This is a street fight there.”
Sharper: “And Kandis is now alone. Theron for the pin!”
Theron goes for the pin on Tommy.

Kandis hits a leg drop to the back of the head of Theron. Theron rolls over as Eriksson grabs Kandis and nails her with a hard right and then another and another. She ends up at the ropes. Theron then heads over as Eriksson dumps her over to the apron. The crowd roars as Theron turns to Eriksson, the two talking briefly before smiling. Dakon Theron exits to the apron. Eriksson climbs to the top rope. The crowd roars as we see officials now in the rampway, trying to separate the Konrad, Oskar & Kemal from Josh, Alex, and Isaac.
Knots: “What in the hell are they doing?!”
Sharper: “There is a table there. They’re going to try and take Kandis out for good!”
Dakon starts to lift Kandis up into the electric chair. The crowd roars some more before we see Tommy get up and nail Dakon in the back. Kandis slides down and then steps up and hits a spin kick to the legs of Eriksson. He falls chest first to the top turnbuckle and then falls to the mat. Tommy then steps onto the apron and then Kandis nails Dakon with a hard forearm. He turns and jumps up, taking Dakon off the apron with a Griever’s Bane through the table.
Sharper: “Greiver’s Bane off the apron! Dakon Theron driven through the table!”
The crowd erupts. Tommy rolls over in pain as Kandis drops down and goes for the pin.

The crowd cheers as the bell sounds. Kandis rolls off and then turns to Tommy to check on him. Tommy nods as he slowly gets up.
Phillips: “Here are your winners, via pinfall, Kandis and Tommy Valentine, they are the Connection!”
Sharper: “The Connection in this street fight, Underground Rules, and stand tall. And that’s what they can do.”
Knots: “Looked as best as they have yet. And no one got involved. And if they did, well, SCW officials are dealing with it!”
Sharper: “And the Connection gets the win in their return. Got to feel good. But now, there’s the Product. And we know Konrad Raab himself wants a crack.”
Kandis helps Tommy up as they raise each other’s arms. The crowd cheers as their music plays. Kandis looks around as the official goes to check on Dakon. We see Konrad looking down while being pulled back by other officials. Josh Hudson is too, while Isaac and Alex focus on Oskar and Kemal, all while still in the rampway.

The scene opens up with a shot of the Rise to Greatness logo as we see “31 Days Away” underneath. The logo remains on the screen for several moments before fading to black.
The Glimmer Sisters vs. Chase Upshaw & Religious Wright
Back in the ring, we see Chase Upshaw and Religious Wright already in the ring. Chase Upshaw is trying to get the microphone and Wright then heads over and grabs at it too before all the lights in the arena suddenly cut out, leaving the fans gasping and roaring in surprise. After a moment, blue lighting overtakes the arena, almost making it look like the entire place is underwater. On the stage, we can see what looks like water raining down right in front of the entryway, a silhouette of a woman visible behind it as she's flipping her hair and looks to be getting “dressed” for battle. “Tongue Twister” then hits and after a few seconds, we see Gina Glimmer (we assume) walk through the water, motioning as though she were parting a curtain, sashaying in a way that draws all eyes to her hips as she grins knowing full well what she's doing. Once she's fully visible she flaps her arms at her sides almost like she's flying, and as she does we see a second pair of arms flapping in the opposite motion appear from behind her, almost making her look like one of those multi-armed Hindu gods. After a few flaps she leans to one side as we see her twin Gia Glimmer (again, we assume) suddenly appear from behind her and lean the opposite way, perfectly mirroring one another. They join hands and look as though they're about to break into a ballroom dance, but Gina simply uses this to flip Gia over her back, and the moment she lands on her feet in time with the bass dropping the lighting immediately changes to a vibrant display of pinks and yellows.
Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a ten minute time limit. First, on their way to the ring, making their SCW debut, from Cirque du Sins, they are Gia and Gina, the Glimmer Sisters!”
At this, the two begin to dance their way down to the ring, again a perfect mirror of one another as their sensual motions hypnotize the audience. The mirror routine breaks at a few points when they stop dancing to briefly interact with fans, Gina scoffing at some guy not worth her time in the front row desperately trying to get her number while Gia teases potentially flashing her side of the crowd only to stick her tongue out and tell them to “blame SCW” for the let down. Once they reach ringside they dance their way over to the hard cam side of the ring before pulling themselves onto the apron facing away from each other, where they press their butts together and slowly rise as they stick their tongues out and suggestively lick each finger, drawing excited cheers from all interested parties that clash with the boos they're otherwise getting from those that either aren't interested in them or see through the act. Once they're both fully upright, they mirror one another again as they lean back against the ropes, pushing out their chests for the fans' enjoyment before hooking their arms around the top rope and backflipping into the ring in sync. Once they're back in the ring the lighting returns to the underwater hues as they dance around the ring one more time, mirroring one another again, before meeting in the middle of the ring as a spotlight shines down on them. They sensually embrace, each lifting a leg up in a way that makes it seem like they're trying to wrap it around the other's body as they flip their hair before motioning for the camera to get a close-up of them as they grin and wink to the fans at home. The lights then completely cut out again for a brief moment before coming back on as normal, the Glimmer Sisters separating and moving to their corner as they wait for the bell with a hungry look in their eyes.
Phillips: “And their opponents, already in the ring, they are Religious Wright and Chase Upshaw!”
The cameras turn to them as we see Upshaw and Wright now arguing with each other.
Sharper: “The Glimmer Sisters back in action and Upshaw and Wright are arguing with each other.”
Knots: “Clearly they’ve lost the focus on the right thing!”
Upshaw shoves Wright back.
Upshaw: “How dare you! I know where your little church is – it’s 140 miles north of Little Rock!”
Wright: “Then you should come and we can accept Asher Hayes as our Lord and Savior!”
Upshaw: “Why would I do that? He doesn’t even know what nation he was kidnapped to!”
Wright: “How dare you-“
Wright stops as Gia and Gina Glimmer walk over, standing next to the two, both leaning back to emphasize their chests.
Upshaw: “Do you even know? I’ll give you a hint. It has a border with his fine nation and-“
Gina, or is it Gia, grabs Upshaw and pulls him into her chest, rubbing his face in his chest. Gia, or is it Gina, does the same to Wright. The bell sounds.
Knots: “Hell yeah!”
Sharper: “Glimmer Sisters…uh…well, unique offense.”
Knots: “It’s to get them focused!”
After several moments, Gina shoves Upshaw back and Upshaw falls over, rubbing his face. Gia pulls Wright out.
Wright: “Oh Lord, may you please give me nothing more I can bear!”
Gia pulls Wright back in and laughs a bit before continuing to allow Wright his tribulations for several moments before pulling his face out.
Wright: “I don’t know if I can-“
Gia pulls him back in. The crowd roars as Gina points to Upshaw. Upshaw gets up and the official tries to get him out of the ring. Gia then pulls Wright out and then throws him down to his knees. Gina poses, pulling down her tights to reveal her thong, as Gia places Wright’s face against her ass. Gina smirks as the crowd roars. Wright’s eyes widen. He goes to grab, but Gia then steps back and boots him in the head. Wright rolls out of the ring. Upshaw pushes past the official and nails Gia with a hard right and then nails Gina with another as she pulls her pants up. Upshaw nails her again. The crowd boos.
Sharper: “After Wright maybe went to heaven, Upshaw back in.”
Knots: “I don’t know if Wright knows where heaven is.”
Upshaw then whips her across the ring and then hits a Paraguayan Powerslam. Gia rolls to the floor. Upshaw hooks the leg.

Gina kicks out. She rolls over as Upshaw grabs her and pulls her up. He then shakes his head as the crowd boos. He then whips her across the ring. Gina bounces off and ducks a clothesline. Wright then grabs her by the leg and pulls her to the floor. Wright then points to himself again and then her as Gina looks at him, eyebrow raised. Upshaw then runs at the ropes and goes for a baseball slide. Wright shoves Gina back as Upshaw slides to the floor. Upshaw then turns and gets in Wright’s face. Gina rolls into the ring. The official counts Upshaw. (1) Upshaw and Wright keep yelling at one another before Upshaw shoves Wright down. (2) But as this happens, Gina exits the ring as Gia rolls in. (3)
Knots: “They just swapped! They just swapped!”
Sharper: “The official focused on Upshaw, who is getting counted out!”
Upshaw slides back in and he runs over to who is now Gia and Upshaw attempts a clothesline. Gia ducks and then hits a jumping enziguri kick. She turns and tags in Gina. Gina enters and runs over and they hit dual dropkicks to the knees of Upshaw as he gets up. Upshaw grimaces. Gia and Gina then go to opposite sides of the ring. They then look at one another before shaking their asses a bit to a positive response from the crowd. They then run at Upshaw, both twisting and hitting the Asspocalypse on Upshaw!
Sharper: “And Gina and Gia, the Glimmer Sisters sandwich Upshaw’s head with the Asspocalypse!”
Knots: “Double ass to the face!”
Sharper: “And here comes Wright! Oh Wright…good God. Could you be more of a creep?”
Wright slides into the ring and gets up and points to himself and then to Upshaw before then dropping down to his knees. He holds his hands in prayer. Gia and Gina look at one another and they shrugs, both smiling before then backing up only to then step forward, in stereo, and hitting the Mirror Routine on Wright. Wright drops.
Sharper: “That’s now what Wright wanted. And I think we just got a new layer to what the Glimmer Sisters are above!”
Knots: “Wright just wanted to return to heaven. He can’t afford to go to KABLAMia!”
Gia then covers Upshaw as Gina covers Wright for good measure.

Sharper: “Another match, another victory. Glimmer Sisters making waves here in SCW.”
Knots: “And getting under their opponent’s skin or into their heads or…even Hollywood has concerns.”
Gia and Gina continue to pose as the scene cuts away.
“Psycho in my Head” plays as we see a shot of Asher Hayes vs. Selena Frost come up on the screen.
Sharper: “Main event time. Selena Frost faces Asher Hayes, next!”

Asher Hayes vs. Selena Frost
The
opening riff to "Song for the Dead" by Queens of the Stone
Age kicks in. At the 37 second mark, the name "Asher Hayes"
blares through the PA system, and Asher appears on the stage, wearing a
long leather jacket, his face full of focus. The SCW United States Championship
sits around his shoulder. He bows down for a few moments before standing up
straight, throwing both fists in the air, before making his way towards the
ring.
“It's late enough to go driving
And see what's mine
Life's the study of dying
How to do it right"
Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for TV Time remaining and is your main event of the evening. First, on his way to the ring, from Chicago, Illinois, he is the interim SCW United States Champion, Asher Hayes!”
He makes his way down the ramp as the reaction of the crowd rains down upon
him. He walks up the ring steps and climbs to the top turnbuckle, lifting both
fists into the air, slinging the jacket off his shoulders, simply looking
at the crowd before dropping down and running to the opposite side.
“You're a holy roller
If you bettin' to lose
If you're hanging around
I'm holding the noose"
He stands, once again, on the top rope. His expression remains focused as he
looks toward the ceiling, before dropping down, removing his jacket and handing
his belongings to the ref.
"Ah, ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah, ah
Come a little bit closer
And get untied
In a hearse rolling over
Just a track in the line
Fuck it..."
Asher then leans into the corner, waiting for the match to begin. He hands off
the interim SCW United States Championship.
Sharper: “Huge main event here to cap off a wild night in Cleveland. Asher Hayes to face off against Selena Frost. Hayes will compete for the unified US Championship against Deanna Frost, Jordan Majors, and La Pequena Luz at Rise to Greatness.”
Knots: “But now has to deal with Selena Frost and there’s one thing about Selena Frost…she’s owed Asher in the past. Ended his World Title reign. And it’s the main event. She rises to the occasion!”
BELIEVE
IT... OR NOT!
"Thank You for Hating Me!" by Citizen Soldier plays throughout
the arena, the SCW Universe deafening the song with their boos. The lights
shift to dark purple and blue, filling the arena as snow is seen “falling”
along the electronic floor and screens as, out from the back, walks the Snow
Queen, Selena Frost, taking in the crowd of the SCW Universe with a smirk.
Phillips:
“His opponent, from Nome, Alaska, by way of Manhattan, New York, she is the
Snow Queen, Selena Frost!”
Slowly, Selena shifts her head, her sapphire eyes locked towards the ring as
she turns to her side and lifts her front hand gracefully, extending it
towards the ring, palm upward. With a lift of her front foot, she suddenly
slams it down into the ground, causing a crack like ice to form and sprint down
the ramp and towards the ring!
Lowering her arm, the Blue-Eyed Devil walks down the ramp, her steps
leaving footprints in the “snow” under her feet. Reaching the ring, Selena goes
up the steps and under the ropes to enter it. Once inside and in the center of
the ring, she stands still, confident and powerful, as the lights form to
make a massive blue and black snowflake under her and the purple and blue
lights. Raising her hand back up, towards the audience, once again palm
upright, a wicked smirk graces her lips. With a slam of her foot, Selena
causes the snowflake at her feet to “crack” as the rampway did, the shards of
ice streaking out to all four corners of the ring to shoot out
purple streaks of light from the turnbuckle the lights return to
normal.
Sharper: “Selena Frost in the ring. And we’ve already gotten a small taste of just how she’s viewing this World Championship match at Rise to Greatness. Last week, she came out and she confirmed it tonight. She has no qualms about taking a shot at Xander or Cid to put them on the shelf. Both have notable injury histories.”
Knots: “You use what you can. This is a contact sport. And if you’re going to be at that high level, you do what you can for an edge!”
Sharper: “What about the honour?”
Knots: “What honour? Xander Valentine didn’t care about that. He wanted to take them out. Cid Turner is here for one run but he’d take someone out if he had to. He did with Xander. And Giovanni Aries – need I say more?”
The bell sounds as Asher looks at Selena. Selena looks at Asher and the two move to one another and Selena drops down and spins around Asher and goes for a waistlock. Hayes grabs the arms and releases her clasp before wrenching the arm. He then moves into a hammerlock. Selena reaches up and then down before going up again. She jumps up and goes for a snapmare. Asher rolls through. Selena runs over and forearms him in the jaw. She then runs into the ropes. She bounces off and Asher goes for a back elbow. She bounces off the other side. Asher turns and Selena jumps up, grabbing his arm and spinning through with an arm drag. Asher rolls through. He gets up and Selena goes for another arm drag. He rolls through again and runs into the ropes and Selena goes for a hip toss, but Asher spins through and takes her down. He goes to grab her. Selena pushes off with her feet. Asher rolls back and turns as Selena nips up and turns and goes for a dropkick. Asher has the same idea. They both miss and both turn to one another as the crowd roars.
Sharper: “Hayes and Frost have a long history and we’ve said that with the World Title match at Rise to Greatness. These four know each other well. This may be a great test for Selena.”
Knots: “But Hayes needs to find that opening and you know Selena is going to work like help to avoid that.”
Asher and Selena take a moment to reset, before Selena lunges at Asher. She goes for the leg. He sweeps his leg out of the way. Selena slides through and then gets up and Asher nails her with a forearm. Selena falls back. He hits another forearm and then another before whipping her across the ring. Selena hits the corner. Asher then runs out and catches Selena’s foot as she goes to nail him. Asher through it down and hits a lunging forearm. He then grabs Selena and lifts her up to the middle turnbuckle before jumping up with a dropkick. Selena falls back, over the top rope and lands on the apron.
Sharper: “Great dropkick. Selena up and over. She saving herself from hitting the floor.”
Knots: “I don’t know how safe the apron is!”
Selena slowly gets up and Asher turns and grabs her, but she hits a forearm. She then winces as she reaches, but Asher hits a spinning leg sweep. Selena lands hard chest first on the apron. She then rolls to the floor. She winces. (1) She falls to the barricade. She then turns to the ring. (2) Asher then grabs the top rope and hits a vaulting press onto Frost! (1)
Sharper: “Over the top! Asher Hayes with a direct strike!”
Knots: “I said that the apron wasn’t safe!”
Hayes looks up and slowly gets up. (2) Selena rolls over and Hayes grabs her. (3) He then turns and rolls her into the ring. Selena rolls in. (4) Hayes slides in. Selena gets up and Hayes runs at her and drills her with a clothesline. He goes for the pin.

She then grabs him, but Hayes suddenly spins Selena into the corner and hits a forearm and then a knee before then pulling her out and then wrenching the arm into a hammerlock before hoisting Selena up and dropping her with a hammerlock back suplex.
Sharper: “Huge suplex. Hayes needed that and he got it.”
Knots: “And targeting the arm. Selena…protect that arm!”
Selena rolls over and Hayes grabs her again and hoists her up and then hits a back suplex into a bridge.

Hayes rolls over and gets up. Selena turns and stirs as Hayes hoists her up and places her on the top turnbuckle. The crowd roars as Hayes then forearms Selena in the jaw once and then again before climbing to the middle turnbuckle. He grabs Selena and hooks her head and then steps up before hitting a superplex. Sharper: “Paydirt. Hayes face first into the sole of Selena Frost’s boot. And that will stop any hope for momentum returning.”
Knots: “If not daze him completely! He may be so stunned he’ll accept being called the interim US Champion!”
Selena rolls over and starts to get up. She then climbs up to the top rope. She glances back and hits a moonsault. She hooks the leg.

Asher gets his shoulder up. Selena rolls off, stunned. She then looks around before grabbing Asher. She drags him up and then grabs him by the head, but Asher shoves her back and into Demitra, the official. The crowd ohs. Demitra goes down as Selena and Asher collapse to the mat. Asher rolls over and winces. He then starts to get up and Selena gets up and Asher hits a short-arm clothesline. He staggers and moves to the ropes. He leans on them. A few moments pass before we see a bag of weed thrown into the ring. Asher stops and sees this. He then looks around as the crowd boos. Jordan Majors reveals herself at ringside.
Sharper: “Jordan Majors at ringside…official down.”
Knots: “Well, she’s offering a peace offering! Hayes used to love the dank kush!”
Sharper: “Now just messing with him. He’s trying to move on. Trying to better himself. Now that’s why Jordan Majors was at the security checkpoint.”
Hayes then kicks the bag out of the ring. Majors grabs it and goes to place it in again, before suddenly, Asher Hayes is spun around and Selena hits the Glass Shard. The crowd boos.
Sharper: “And the Glass Shard. Selena is going to win this.”
Knots: “Still undefeated in one on one action since Rise to Greatness last year!”
Sharper: “The official still down…and wait! Cid! Cid Turner!”
We see Cid Turner running down from the back. Jordan Majors looks around and backs up and turns and exits to the crowd, climbing over the barricade. Cid jogs over and looks at her before turning and looking in the ring. Selena Frost is going over to Demitra. Cid then stops as Jordan Majors runs through the crowd. Cid turns and rolls into the ring. He then gets up and Selena turns and looks at him. She then looks at him, shaking her head. Cid points to the bag before then hurt and then he steps up as Selena steps up and Cid nails her with a hard right and then another and another.
Sharper: “Cid Turner in the ring. Fighting for Hayes! He’s the one who brought that bag into this arena!”
Knots: “This isn’t right!”
Sharper: “After Selena’s comments earlier?”
Cid kicks Selena and goes to whip her into the ropes. She hits the ropes and then stops at the ropes. Cid runs at her and clotheslines her up and over to the apron. Selena slowly gets up as the crowd roars again. Cid steps through to the apron and grabs Selena, but Selena suddenly low blows Cid. The crowd ohs as Cid drops down to his knees and rolls to the floor. Selena then enters into the ring, but we see Xander Valentine sliding in. The crowd erupts as Selena backs up and into Xander who hoists her up and hits the Valhalla Has Fallen!
Sharper: “Valentine! Valhalla Has Fallen!”
Knots: “No! No….and Demitra’s getting up! Disqualify her.”
Sharper: “She threatened their careers. And it looks like the undefeated run is over! And look!”
Knots: “Xander’s dragging Asher onto Selena!”
Xander drags Asher onto Selena before stepping through the ropes and to the floor. He then starts to storm to the rampway. Demitra turns around and looks around as the crowd erupts. He then throws his arm forward and counts.

Sharper: “Hayes with the win…Cid and Xander making Selena Frost regret her claims.”
Knots: “But they’re fighting for the World Title. They’re all focused on each other.”
Sharper: “Giovanni Aries just watching. Has to be. Third week in a row and his challengers are at each other’s throats!”
Hayes rolls off as his music plays. Xander moves to the entrance way as Hayes looks around, trying to make sense of what happened. He holds his jaw and then sees Cid down at ringside, holding himself. Cid looks on and checks on him as Selena turns, holding her head and neck. She glares at the entrance way, anger etched on her face.
Sharper: “Oh man…the road to Rise to Greatness is heating up. Believe it! We’ll see you next week!”
The scene slowly fades to black…
