“Supreme Championship Wrestling...”

A shot of Kelcey Wallace nailing Bree Lancaster with the Perfect Ending, followed by a shot of Steve Griffin hitting the Decimator off the top rope on CHBK at the first Rise to Greatness, before turning a shot of Jake Starr pumping up the crowd on his way to the ring, before turning into a shot of Ravyn Taylor sitting in the corner, waiting for the start of a match. We then see a shot of Katie Steward holding the Women’s Championship before cutting to a shot of Selena Frost hitting Vixen Cain with the Defying Gravity at Supreme Saturday: Just Desserts.

“The leading force in sports and entertainment today....”

Or maybe I'm just livin' a lie
Can't stop this screamin' voice
Or maybe I'm just sick inside

Shots of Kandis hitting Gratuitous on an opponent, before showing Rated X posing as SCW World Tag Team Champions. Katie Steward is next shown posing, before we see David Striker diving over the top rope and Josh Hudson standing on the stage, smiling. Shots of Chance Owens, Simon Lyman and the European Fiery Nation follow, superimposed over the Breakdown logo.

This is the face
I hate the other side of me
Out of this cage
He breaks to take the life from me
Tell me, tell me, tell me
I'm not crazy

Syren is shown hitting Xander Valentine with the Total Makeover before showing the Shinigami Foundation standing in the ring talking to the crowd. The Breakdown logo flashes on the screen.

There's a psycho in my head
I'm closer to the edge
Makin' me feel like I'm livin' in misery, misery
Insane
These voices in my brain
Starting to feel like it's gonna be the death of me, death of me

Gavin Taylor hitting the Gavin Taylor Lariat on an opponent is next, before we see Magical Cosmic Princess YUYO making her entrance. Konrad Raab punching Ace Marshall in a steel cage is shown next, before we see Light in the Darkness hitting Wisteria Waltz against an opponent. Lexy Chapel is then shown showing off Syren. Amy Chastaine posing follows before we see James Evans powerbombing La Pequena Luz off the top rope.

There's a psycho in my, there's a psycho in my head

Shots of Deanna Frost, Ryan LeCavalier, Waylon Creek, Xander Valentine, and Syren are shown before the Breakdown logo comes up on the screen.

We then cut to a live shot of the inside of the Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio. The crowd cheers as pyro shoots out from the base of the stage. The display continues for a few moments before spotlights circle the arena and the cameras pan across the crowd for a few moments.

Sharper: “The final stop before Retribution! Breakdown is in Columbus, Ohio! Home of the Blue Jackets!”

The cameras continue to pan the crowd before we cut to ringside and the announce position where Adam Sharper and Jonathan Knots sit.

Sharper: “Welcome to ringside. Adam Sharper here with Jonathan Knots. Tonight, huge night as the roster jockeys for position before Retribution.”

Knots: “And the Fall of Man are hoping to make one final message to the world – Adam Brock, you want to call them bullies. Don’t worry. James Evans will show you who they really are.”

Sharper: “We also will see Selena Frost in action against Chris Lawler. Amelia Nevado against Clyde Sutter.”

Knots: “And we’re in Columbus…you know who is from here? I hear Simon Lyman is here. Simon, not Ryan. He’s here and he has something to say.”

A coin can be heard dropping into a coin slot. A few seconds pass, which is when an open field is shown up on the SCW tron. A flock of birds rise up from the tall grass and fly away as the sound of a piano can be heard playing, leading into the opening of "Bird Set Free" by Sia. The moment the opening words are heard, Polly steps out from the back and stands at the forefront on the stage. She doesn’t look at the stage, instead starting to head to the ring. A few strides behind her is Marissa Swanson. The crowd looks on as Polly heads to the ring.

Sharper: “And starting us off is Polly Pingotti. Not in action tonight-“

Knots: “But she’s not happy that she was a target of the returning Straders. At least she has Marissa in her corner.”

Sharper: “We are told she was indeed offered a contract. Hence why Marissa Swanson is coming to the ring. We hope to get confirmation. But right now, she seems focused on helping Polly.”

Knots: “And Polly since Dogfight in Dusseldorff is just a bundle of anger, frustration, and more.”

Polly storms to the ring and rolls into the ring. She gets up as Marissa climbs onto the apron. She enters the ring. Polly walks across to the corner and demands a microphone from ringside announcer Jason Phillips. Phillips obliges, handing her one. She takes it and turns back to the middle of the ring.

Polly: “No…Marissa…I’m doing this.”

Marissa stops and nods and backs up. She then motions to let her have her stage.

Polly: “So Meghan…”

The crowd roars.

Polly: “You had a nice little match last week. And you came back and went for a fight. Well, you picked the wrong person to go after!”

The crowd roars again.

Polly: “What? You thought that since I lost at Dogfight in Dusseldorff, I’d be an easy pick? Huh? That it? Had my time with the title? ME the glass ceiling. Time for Polly to fall back down. No! Not going to happen.”

Polly paces back and forth, Marissa watching her.

Polly: “I’ve spent too much time getting to this point. Too much time fighting for what I deserve. I’m not going to be a stepping stone to a family trying to make an impact. You picked the wrong person to fight on your first night back, Meghan!”

???: “Oh I think I picked the perfect choice.”

The crowd roars as we cut to the stage where Meghan Strader walks out from the back. Joining her are the rest of the Strader family who step out and fan out. Veronica and Cara turn their back to the ring to watch the entrance way to be sure. The crowd roars some more. Polly looks at Marissa who then turns and stands next to Polly, almost ready to go to war too.

Meghan: “Relax, relax…We’re not coming down there just to kick your ass. I’ll save that for myself at Retribution!”

The crowd roars.

Meghan: “No, Polly, see, we came back because well, we’ve got a lot of goals and you, Polly, as I said were the PERFECT person to go after. Because I’m not here for the easy way to the top. I’m not here because I demand something and I’m not willing to fight for it. Just like the Cowgirls had their minds on the World Tag Team Championship and will continue to do so, I have my mind on one thing…the SCW World Championship!”

The crowd cheers as Meghan points at the ring.

Meghan: “And guess what Polly…you being in the ring when we came out was a nice bonus. They get Shinigami who claim to respect the business. I wanted a fight to make sure I’m ready for what will be coming my way. Yeah, Polly, this means you’re a stepping stone to what I want, but don’t worry, I’m not thinking you’re going to roll over and take it. I want you to give me everything. I want the Polly with a chip on her shoulder. I want that fight. Because then when I beat you, I know I will have earned it.”

The crowd cheer before Polly interjects.

Polly: “And when I beat you, maybe you’ll realize your family’s reputation isn’t worth a damn thing in SCW!”

The crowd ohs.

Polly: “And while you may be talking the talk now, at Retribution, Marissa…will you be in my corner?”

Marissa nods.

Polly: “SCW’s newest roster member…she’ll be in my corner, so if any other Strader’s want a fight…well, you can wish for it now, but I’m going to make sure that you or anyone else doesn’t see me as a means to an end. They’ll see as your worst nightmare!”

Meghan: “Bring it, Polly. I damn sure will!”

“Unchained” by Van Halen plays throughout the arena. Polly looks at the entrance way as Marissa turns to her, saying something to her. Meghan just smiles and motions for her to bring it before turning and motioning to the Strader family.

Sharper: “Meghan saying she wants the fight-“

Knots: “Playing right to Polly’s insecurities!”

Sharper: “And she may regret it or take advantage of it. But you heard her. She’s aiming for the World Title.”

Knots: “As she should. And Polly, do the same. Step up and let’s see you both go at it!”

The Strader Family heads into the back as Polly turns to the stage.

Backstage, Jaina Lancaster stands with Glory Braddock in the interview area.

Jaina: “Jaina Lancaster here and I’m with Glory Braddock, the former Adrenaline Champion, but you’ll be in action at Retribution in your rematch for that title. You’ll face Dexter Grant in a Disconnect Match. We’re still trying to figure out what that is.”

Braddock: “You too?”

Jaina: “Yeah.”

Braddock: “Part of me regrets giving it to him, but part of me is ready for anything so I can knock him down a few pegs. The man is just that grating annoyance and one that acts like the harbinger of morality. And now we have this match and he won’t even promote what it is. That’s what we do and-“

Jaina: “He won’t even agree to interviews. He is doing nothing to promote this match. Even last week, the Adrenaline Title on the line. No one saw it coming.”

Braddock: “Well, look, I’m going to do what I can to beat him. The fact is that no matter how he acts and his self-righteousness, he unfortunately can handle himself in the ring. Well, I’m going to bring my twenty years of experience to do what I can to end this reign before it begins. To get back to some normalcy there. And I’ll be ready for whatever it is. Whatever this Disconnect is. Why? Because I’m a pro.”

Jaina: “Thank you Glory…and good luck.”

Braddock nods and heads off.

Jaina: “Breakdown returns after this.”

The scene cuts away.

The scene suddenly statics as we return to a live shot inside the arena.

Diamond Steele vs. Oskar Theron

Diamond and the Gem Stones begins to blare all across the sound system and as it does we are able to see the likes of the Gem Stones playing on a tron. Ruby, Emerald, and Sapphire are all playing various instruments as we are able to see Diamond Steele emerging from the curtain. She has a microphone in her hands sings as loudly as she can to the sound of roaring cheers. Kate smirks as she just sings loudly which results in even more cheers.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from London, England… Diamond Steele!”

Diamond finally makes it to the ring and she quickly runs up the ring steps as she grabs the turnbuckle as hard as she can. She immediately leap frogs over the ropes and bounces about before she points at the crowd who cheers louder than before. She waves at them off as she throws the microphone to the side. She smirks as she opens up a pocket mirror and takes a moment to admire how beautiful her hair is as she waits for the match to begin.

Sharper: “Last week on Breakdown, Diamond was beaten by Kemal Yilmaz, and now tonight, she’s looking to turn her luck around against another member of the European Fiery Nation.”

Knots: “I’ll give her credit: Diamond’s been pushing forward despite every setback she’s faced since arriving in SCW, but there’s got to be a limit eventually and maybe throwing herself back at the Nation isn’t the smartest answer she could’ve come up with.”

Ride The Lightning by Metallica plays over the sound system as Oskar walks through the curtain, holding up his Norwegian flag, wearing Norway flame lightning bolt flag trousers with The European Fiery Nation logo attached to his trousers, wearing MMA gloves and wrestling boots with Ginny Raab behind him. He gets many boos as he walks to the ring, ignoring the fans. He stands on the ramp, using the lightning bolt signals.

Phillips: “Her opponent, from Oslo, Norway, accompanied by Ginny Raab, he is Oskar Theron!”

He walks to the ring before sliding under the ropes before holding them open for Ginny to get in, and he goes on the turnbuckle to do his lightning bolt sign, with Ginny applauding Oskar before he puts himself in a corner. He holds the ropes open again for Ginny to leave the ring  and start heading to the back before turning to the opposite end of the corner, looking at Diamond almost dismissively.

Sharper: “The younger brother of Dakon Theron, Oskar is still looking to make a name for himself as the European Fiery Nation’s numbers have grown since the start of the year.”

Knots: “You mentioned moments ago how Kemal knocked off Diamond last week, and I think Oskar believes he’ll have no trouble doing the same. Anything to make yourselves seem threatening while your leader’s at odds with Josh Hudson, I guess!”

Referee Jennifer Cassidy signals for the bell and Diamond and Oskar meet in the center of the ring, locking up. It’s not long before Oskar uses his size advantage to push Diamond back into the corner. Jennifer Cassidy calls for a break and Oskar surprisingly complies, only to swing with a right hand that Diamond ducks as Oskar ends up in the corner now and Diamond starts throwing kick after kick into his midsection. He gets his arms up to block, but Diamond instead sweeps his leg out from under him, dropping him to a seated position in the corner before she dropkicks him right in the face! Diamond gets up and backs away from the corner, measuring Oskar as he slowly rises before she charges in and catches him with a yakuza kick! Oskar drops to the mat but rolls out to the floor before Diamond can attempt a cover.

Sharper: “A hot start here for Diamond Steele as she’s looking to get a win back from the European Fiery Nation.”

Knots: “We know they’re a bunch of hotheads and if Diamond’s learned from last week’s match, she could use that to stun them tonight.”

Oskar starts using the apron to pull himself back to his feet as Diamond exits the ring. (1) She grabs him in a front facelock before using the apron to springboard into a tornado DDT on the floor, but Oskar manages to throw her off as her leg catches the steel steps on the landing! (2) Fans can be heard groaning as Diamond clutches at her leg, but Oskar doesn’t seem to care as he grabs her by the waist. (3) He hauls her up and takes her over with a german suplex on the floor! (5) Oskar looks at Referee Jennifer Cassidy as she counts them both out and scoffs as he grabs Diamond. (6) He throws Diamond back into the ring before sliding in after her. He runs and springboards off the middle rope into a moonsault! Oskar stays on Diamond for the cover, hooking the leg.

Diamond kicks out!

Sharper: “Oskar gaining the upper hand after a nasty landing by Diamond on the attempted tornado DDT on the outside.”

Knots: “You try to play the Nation’s game, sometimes it doesn’t go so well for you, as Diamond’s learning the hard way.”

Oskar rolls out onto the apron before pulling himself back up, measuring Diamond as she slowly tries to get back to her feet, still favoring the leg that hit the steel steps. Once she’s finally upright, it doesn’t last long as Oskar springboards off the top rope and takes her down with a lariat. He smiles to himself as he grabs Diamond and hauls her up so he can plant her with a spinning sitout powerbomb! He holds the position for a pin.

Diamond kicks out! Oskar, however, grabs her by the legs and transitions into a cloverleaf! The fans are booing as Oskar grins, yelling to Diamond to tap as she cries out in pain. Referee Jennifer Cassidy checks with her, but she refuses as she tries to crawl towards the ropes, but Oskar pulls back more on her crossed legs to make it difficult. Despite this, Diamond manages to barely grab the bottom rope, causing Jennifer Cassidy to initiate the five count. Oskar breaks at four before trying to intimidate her, claiming that Diamond submitted and this match should be over. Jennifer Cassidy refuses to go along with this and tells him to focus on the match and let her do her job, when suddenly Diamond grabs Oskar from behind with a schoolgirl pin!

2!

Oskar kicks out! He grabs Diamond as they both rise before taking her over into a northern lights suplex! He rolls through and deadlifts her for a vertical suplex, but she manages to squirm free and reverses it into a tornado DDT!

Sharper: “Huge counter by Diamond to try and get back into this match!”

Knots: “That leg’s still bothering her though, Adam? How much can she keep going on a bad leg before Oskar makes her sing her swan song?”

Both competitors slowly get back to their feet, though Oskar is a little quicker because Diamond’s leg is still bothering her. He grabs her before whipping her into the ropes, but as he ducks his head for something, Diamond manages to float over into a DDT! The fans are cheering Diamond on as she pulls herself back to her feet, hitting her leg a few times to try and get some circulation going as she fights through the pain. Oskar pulls himself back to his feet using the ropes, but he turns into a single knee facebreaker from Diamond that causes him to stumble back into them. She grabs him in a waistlock, but he manages to elbow her a few times to knock her back. He glances back at her before he springboards off the second rope, looking for the Diamond Bolt Cutter, but Diamond moves and Oskar catches nothing but air before crashing to the mat! He slowly gets back to his feet as Diamond manages to springboard onto the second turnbuckle before twisting into a crossbody!

1!

2!

Oskar kicks out!

Sharper: “Nobody home on the Diamond Bolt Cutter and Oskar is in trouble!”

Knots: “Can you imagine what things would be like in the Nation’s locker room if Oskar comes back having lost to the same woman Kemal defeated last week?”

Diamond slowly rises to her feet, nodding to herself as she lets the cheers from the fans pump her up. She measures Oskar as he slowly pulls himself back to his feet, and once he’s up she goes for the Diamond Cutter! Oskar, however, shoves her off, but Diamond manages to use the momentum to quickly scale the turnbuckles. She takes a moment to steady herself, wincing at the pain still shooting through her leg, but she manages to leap off and catch Oskar with the Silence Is Golden! She rolls over into a pin, hooking the leg.

Referee Jennifer Cassidy calls for the bell as “Diamond and the Gem Stones” hits the speakers again, the fans roaring as Diamond slowly pulls herself up to her feet and her arm is raised in victory.

Phillips: “Here is your winner… Diamond Steele!”

Sharper: “Some might consider this an upset! Diamond Steele picking up a huge win over Oskar Theron, avenging her defeat to Kemal last week and finally getting herself back in the win column!”

Knots: “I can only imagine how furious Oskar’s going to be when he realizes what’s happened, or the rest of the Nation for that matter!”

Diamond rolls out of the ring, still favoring her leg but with a smile on her face as she heads to the back, one arm still raised in victory. Oskar slowly starts to come to, and he looks furious as he realizes what’s happened, pounding the mat in frustration. Diamond continues to head to the back. Oskar pulls himself up and looks at Diamond. The crowd however starts to roar as we then see Josh Hudson roll into the ring from behind. Oskar steps forward, only for Hudson to grab him and spin him around. Ginny yells out to warn Oskar, but it’s too late. Hudson then hoists Oskar up and hits the Kingdom Come. Oskar drops to the mat. Diamond turns and smirks before heading to the back. Hudson then looks at him before turning to Ginny.

Hudson: “Tell you dumbass racing uncle that he better be here at Retribution, because I’m going to make him respect ME in this ring. And he’s going to have a hard time turning right with a broken arm!”

Oskar remains down as Hudson turns back and then just turns and drills him with the Armistice. The crowd ohs. Hudson looks at Oskar before Dakon Theron, Kemal Yilmaz, and Ludvig Eriksson run out from the back. Hudson rolls out of the ring and jogs away. He exits to the apron and turns back. The crowd looks on as Hudson turns back.

Sharper: “Hudson attacking Oskar Theron. Adding more injury to insult!”

Knots: “And sending a message to Konrad. With Breakdown on the weekends, he’s racing.”

Sharper: “He’s actually in San Antonio right now and if he’s watching this, he’s going to be enraged come Retribution!”

Hudson heads through the crowd as the crowd looks on buzzing and the scene cuts away.

Gigi Steward vs. Sean Michael Prime

As the arena lights dim, a hushed anticipation falls over the crowd. The haunting notes of Metallica's "Turn the Page" resonate through the speakers, setting the stage for the arrival of Sean Michael Prime. Slowly emerging from the shadows. Sean stands at the top of the ramp with a determined gaze. He walks with purpose down the entrance ramp, his worn silhouette illuminated by a lone spotlight.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a ten minute time limit. First, making his way to the ring, from Salem, Massachusetts, Sean Michael Prime!"

With every step, SMP absorbs the energy of the arena, his long hair flowing in rhythm with the haunting melody. As the chorus kicks in, the crowd begins to stir, caught between the raw emotion of the song and the enigmatic presence of Sean as he slowly approaches the ring. Sean climbs into the ring, casting a stoic gaze across the audience. The metallic strains of "Turn the Page" amplify the intensity of the moment. Sean starts pacing around the ring awaiting for the start of the match.

Sharper: “The next match is again a hope for a new start for Gigi Steward. At Retribution, Gigi will face Chris Lawler. And we’re seeing these veterans trying to adjust to the evolutions in this sport.”

Knots: “Saw Diamond Steele make a shift earlier. Time for Gigi to do the same. She wants to hold singles gold again. She has to start somewhere. Just like Sean Michael Prime. He still needs a win!”

Giovanna (Gigi) Steward is very much like her adoptive mom and mentor when it comes to always being a model of fashion. Her wrestling ensemble consists of tight lycro wrestling pants in the hue of baby blue. With a matching baby blue top that features a milky way of small white stars, Gigi is among the stars as she should be. The young Miss Steward had her elbow pads and wrist pads fashioned after her Goddess Katie Steward, except of course they are in baby blue. For her entrance, Gigi dons a black hooded jacket with a zipper that is kept zipped to the top to cover her head until she arrives in the ring ready for her match.

Phillips: “His opponent, from Los Angeles, California, she is the Princess of Wrestling, Giovanna Steward!”

Fancy light blue lettering spells out her nick name she was given from her fans, 'Princess", it stretches across the hood of her jacket. Also the emblem that the world recognizes as Katie Steward's graces Gigi's jacket, ‘a winged cross’, but on Gigi’s, one half is coloured pink to honour her Goddess Katie Steward, and the other half is Baby Blue, which represents the 'Princess of Desire', Gigi herself.

Sharper: “Gigi looks ready to go. Here we are, in Columbus, Ohio. For Breakdown.”

Knots: “Something has to give here. And Gigi is hoping Sean is still in his own head!”

The bell sounds. Prime runs across the ring and kicks Gigi in the ribs. Gigi falls back into the corner. He then knees her in the ribs once and then again and again and again. The official comes over and calls for the break.

Prime steps back and walks around the ring, hands up in the air. He then nods, almost talking to himself before running at Gigi, who catches him with a boot to the head. SMP staggers back and turns around and Gigi runs out and nails him with a hard right and then another and another. Prime swings, going for a hard right of his own, but Gigi ducks and then hits a dropkick to his knee. Prime rolls over to the ropes.

Sharper: “And Gigi fighting back out. Prime had a good idea, but got a bit too overly aggressive. The break giving Gigi the opportunity to fight back.”

Knots: “And right to the leg too.”

Prime grabs at the ropes and starts to get up and Gigi clubs him in the back once and then again and again before spinning him around and going to whip him into the ropes. Prime spins through and sends Gigi in. She bounces off and Prime buries his knee into her ribs. Gigi flips over and holds her stomach. Prime dives down and hooks the leg.

Gigi kicks out. He tries again for another pin.

Gigi kicks out again. Prime lets out an annoyed yell as he grabs Gigi by the hair and drags her up. He then moves her into the corner. Prime hits a kick to the ribs before whipping her across the ring. Prime runs after and Gigi jumps up and ends up with her shins on Prime’s shoulders. She then flips forward, sending him into the middle turnbuckle with a headscissors.

Sharper: “There’s the quickness. The agility of Gigi. She may be older but still is as agile as ever.”

Knots: “While a shot to the head may not be the worst for Prime. He may get out of it.”

Prime slowly starts to get up and Gigi dropkicks him in the face. Prime staggers out and falls to a knee before popping up as Gigi runs out and goes up, scooped up by Prime, but she counters it into a tilt-a-whirl bulldog. Prime rolls over and starts to get up and turns to Gigi who jumps up and hits hurricanrana into a pin.

2!

Prime kicks out. Both get up and Gigi hits a spinning heel kick, knocking Prime down. Prime rolls over and moves to the corner. As he does, the crowd roars as we see Chris Lawler coming out from the back.

Sharper: “And Gigi takes down Prime again-“

Knots: “Look out, Sharper. Chris Lawler can’t read the format and is out early!”

Sharper: “Or maybe he’s out to scout Gigi-“

Knots: “Then you don’t need to enter the ring for that!”

Gigi gets up as Lawler hops onto the apron. He then steps into the ring. Gigi turns and sees him before the official comes up to Lawler and Lawler just grabs the official and turns and throws them down, causing them to roll out of the ring. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “What in the world? Why Chris?”

Gigi looks at Lawler stunned, stepping up, snapping at him. Prime then pulls himself up and runs at Lawler. Lawler sees him and then Lawler hoists him up onto his shoulders. He then turns and drives him down with the Impact Driver. The crowd ohs. Lawler pushes Prime back and rolls over as Gigi gets up in his face. Lawler gets up and looks at her.

Gigi: “This could’ve waited until after-“

Lawler: “Yeah…fighting the one guy without a win! Subtle! I’m not going to take that disrespect!”

Gigi looks around.

Gigi: “I didn’t pick the opponent!”

Lawler: “Whatever!”

Lawler shoves Gigi back. Gigi falls down and the crowd ohs as Gigi looks up at Lawler. Lawler then turns and steps through the ropes, dropping down to the floor.

Sharper: “Lawler…”

Knots: “He took this match as an insult. Did you hear that?”

Sharper: “The pressure is getting to him. It…I know it’s disappointing. But what we just saw here. That’s not how you carry yourself.”

Lawler starts to head to the back. Gigi starts to pull herself up as the scene cuts away.

COMMERCIALS

A coin can be heard dropping into a coin slot, followed by a few girls giggling.  But before “C’est La Vie” by B*Witched can even begin, Colleen, holding the SCW Underground Championship over her shoulder, steps out onto the stage from the backstage area, wearing her normal all-black ring gear, limping somewhat. She doesn’t do her usual entrance. Instead, she just looks forward, pure focus. “How Far I’ll Go” by Auli’i Cravalho begins to play. Colleen ignores the transition, continuing to walk to the back, slowly, with purpose, but showing clearly some level of pain.

Sharper: “Colleen MacDonald…the Underground Champion, and you can see the effects of last week. Kimberly Williams attacking her.”

Knots: “It got turned up to eleven last week. That’s for sure. Kim even got more violent than we’ve seen her.”

Sharper: “Colleen intervened in Kim’s match against Syren. Kimberly responded with a bed of nails!”

LAST WEEK:

We open up to see Kimberly Williams in the ring, microphone in her hand as Colleen MacDonald is slow to get up, grabbing at the ropes. Colleen grabs at the ropes.

Kim: “Because all bets are off now Colleen! I had the chance to put Syren down and stand over her yet again, and AGAIN making her pay for what she put my family through years ago. See, I don’t forget. And Colleen, you got involved and you wanted me at my most violent…Well, Colleen…ABRACADABRA, the ASS of SCW is going to be kicked by a crazy woman with a BED OF NAILS!”

We cut forward to see Kim scoop her up for a back suplex only to then throw her forward and drop her ass first into the bed of nails. The crowd ohs as Colleen grimaces in pain. Kim then leans over and pushes down on her shoulders, causing the nails to grind into her more. The Breakdown logo comes up on the screen.

We see Colleen in the ring, standing in the middle, microphone in her hand.

Knots: “I don’t think we’re going to see her step back.”

Colleen: “Kim…”

Colleen looks forward at the camera.

Colleen: “Did you think I wouldn’t be here?”

Colleen cocks her head.

Colleen: “Did you think I’d run and hide? No, Kim, all you proved to me is that you are everything I already thought you were!”

Colleen looks out.

Colleen: “You’re upset that I got involved in your little match against Syren. It was personal for you. You’re holding your grudge from years past and you thought you’d finally get it when Syren is still telling her head from her ass in the ring as she returns! And I showed up and I ruined it. Oops…Not sorry for one moment! I made it clear. I wanted a focused Kim. I wanted someone who was going to bring EVERYTHING at me. And Kim…”

Colleen pauses for a moment.

Colleen: “You disappointed me.”

Colleen looks at the camera.

Sharper: “What?”

Colleen: “You disappointed me. Because as much as you like to try to think you can be something more, you proved last week you are everything I knew you to be…a one trick pony.”

Colleen looks around.

Colleen: “I heard of your mean tweets. I heard of your crap. And how you were going to prove I don’t deserve to hold this. I heard all of it when you were yelling at YUSA. The problem is that all I see is someone is has made this personal, but just shows me they only know one thing. You coming out here and teaching me about the Underground. You’re going to give me a lesson. Even when I want you to bring it, you have to turn it into a game and a joke. Even when you’re trying to be personal, you have to be ha ha. And in the process, all I learned is that you’re not someone who wants chaos. You don’t want this to be about creativity. You just want permission to hit people with weapons because you’re the disappointment of the Jones family.”

Colleen looks around.

Colleen: “Angelica Jones…a legend. Marie Jones…World Title contender…You…YOU RAN LIKE A BITCH BECAUSE YOU REALIZED YOU COULDN’T HANDLE IT AT THE TOP. You NEED this title because it’s the only thing that gives you value and you can’t handle being without it. Well, Kim, at Retribution, you and I finally meet in this ring and after last week, you had to reduce me to my ass…well, Kim, I’m going to reduce you to an afterthought as I’m going to BEAT you and keep this title and make you realize you are NOTHING!”

The lights go out, except for a single spotlight at the top of the stage. The opening chords to “Patient Number 9” by Ozzy Osbourne begins to play.  A haunting voice is heard…

"Is there a way out of here?"
"Hey, how long you been here?"
"I wanna go home"
"Hey, hahaha"
"Hahaha"
"Excuse me, could you tell how to get out of here?"
"Hahaha"
"I want to go home"
"Hahaha"
"Mommy, mommy"

The song begins to rage full bore now. The crowd roars as suddenly the lights come back on and Kimberly Williams is heading to the ring, microphone in her hand.

Kim: “Oh Old MacDonald had a farm and her ass is full of holes. Well, Colleen…you have a problem with me being me…well-“

Kim storms down to the ring.

Kim: “What are you going to do about? Don’t like the weapons. I don’t care-“

Colleen: “The only weapons I need are the one’s connected to me…”

Colleen holds up her fists.

Kim: “Well that’s nice. Maybe if I beat them with a shovel, it’ll change. How about that?”

Kim then reaches under the ring and grabs a steel chair. She throws it into the ring. Colleen dodges. Kim grabs another chair and throws it into the ring. She keeps going around the ring, lifting up the ring skirt.

Kim: “If you want to be boring, that’s fine. I’m not going to feel bad about beating you to within an inch of your life because you don’t want to feel alive.”

Kim throws a trash can into the ring before throwing in a step ladder. Colleen dodges them all, focusing on her.

Colleen: “I’ll feel more than alive when I make you pay for last week by making me return to the back so you can bitch to your mom about how you’re not holding your title. And then what? I saw you storm off, looking back at Under Attack. You can’t move on because you have nothing else! And I’m going to take it all from you!”

Kim then throws another chair, this one with a bit more to it, saucering it into the ring. Colleen dodges. She throws in another chair before grabbing WASLEY. The crowd roars and she throws it into the ring. Colleen dodges, but then smirks, before turning and grabbing WASLEY. Kim, doesn’t notice this at first, and then continues to move around before seeing the timekeeper’s table. She grabs the ring bell and throws it into the ring. Colleen, meanwhile, uses her hands and rips the back of WASLEY, presumably where Kim put the weights in. She throws the weights out and then starts to pull on WASLEY. Kim sees this and then rolls into the ring and she lunges at Colleen. Colleen moves out of the way and to the floor. Kim then looks at WASLEY and then the weights.

Knots: “WASLEY has been murdered!”

Sharper: “Colleen! She waited! She figured WASLEY would be out and she’s pulled the weights out from him and-“

Kim then grabs WASLEY before going for the weights, but then Colleen rolls back into the ring, only for Kim to turn, and Colleen to run at her and drill her with the Underground Championship. Kim goes down and rolls over, holding her face. Colleen then looks at her before turning and grabbing the microphone.

Colleen: “One weapon…yeah, you’ll call me a hypocrite. At least I don’t need Glory to make me be half out of it for what I’m going to do.”

Colleen then turns and goes back over to WASLEY. Kim winces and Colleen grabs WASLEY and lifts him up. The crowd looks on before Colleen then uses her hands and pulls, ripping WASLEY from the back and across his front. She pulls again before throwing WASLEY down. The crowd boos her as Colleen looks at Kim. Kim then looks up.

Colleen: “Shove the stupid penguin up your ass too. I’ll put you out of your misery at Retribution with my two hands!”

Collen throws the microphone down at Kim. Kim doesn’t lunges for WASLEY, instead looking up at Colleen as she turns and kicks one of the chairs out of her way. It slides to the floor and Colleen drops down to the floor.

Sharper: “Colleen with pure anger, pure focus, and Kim coming out. This is a battle of ideologies, but it’s become personal.”

Knots: “We just saw penguicide in Columbus! Someone arrest her!”

Sharper: “WASLEY ripped, not quite in two, but Colleen using her two hands…”

Knots: “The Underground takes another victim!”

Colleen heads to the back, the adrenaline starting to wear off as she returns to limping and turns back. Kim starts to pull herself up as she looks at Colleen. Colleen turns and limps to the back. The scene cuts away.

CHBK walks over to his office and opens the door. He steps in and takes a few steps and stops. The camera pans around to show Ravyn Taylor sitting in his chair.

Ravyn: “You’d think the COO would have a more comfortable chair, Alex.”

CHBK: “Or maybe we just use what we have in the building.”

Ravyn: “Nonetheless, throw some money around. I know we could convince Lexy to throw some money at it to win you over.”

CHBK: “What do you want Ravyn:?”

Ravyn smiles and stands up.

Ravyn: “Well, Alex…you know that Zoe is back and well, the results have been mixed.”

CHBK: “I expected she may struggle. It’s harder to rebound from injury as you get older.”

Ravyn: “Among other things. But that’s why I’m here.”

CHBK: “Lexy asking you to demand a title shot.”

Ravyn: “Far from it. She can have her ideas, but Lexy and I have an agreement that I should be listened to more. And I…I want to make sure Syren’s heart is in this.”

CHBK: “Excuse me?”

Ravyn: “I know you saw it. There were rumours she was going to retire. You heard them. I want to make sure this is the right choice for her. But also a match to make sure she is going to keep getting to Syren-shape, if you will. Facing Billy Heaven Jr. is…what it is. But let’s face it. He is no…CHBK.”

CHBK: “I certainly hope not.”

Ravyn: “Then book her for Retribution. A fourway or something. Find a few people who need a rebound too. They can get a chance to beat a Hall of Famer. And I get to make sure Syren is ready for what she’s signed on for. She says she wants to win every title. Let’s make sure she can deal with the disappointment…or worse….”

CHBK: “You didn’t have to be cloak and dagger about it-“

Ravyn: “Actually I did. Lexy will not be pleased when she finds out.”

CHBK: “And Syren?”

Ravyn: “That’s for me to deal with.”

CHBK: “Fine…you have your match.”

Ravyn: “Pleasure doing business with you. Don’t worry. I’m not expecting a tip.”

Ravyn winks and walks off. CHBK shakes his head as the scene cuts away.

COMMERCIALS

Breakdown returns as we hear Kimberly Williams backstage.

Williams: “Oh WASLEY…don’t worry. I’m better than all the king’s horses and all the king’s men!”

The camera pans over to show Kimberly Williams sitting on the floor, in the middle of the hallway, holding WASLEY and twisting the fabric that made up WASLEY back and forth.

Williams: “She thinks that she’s got one over. Oh no…what’s that WASLEY? Now you can be everything you want to be. You can be even more violent? Don’t just want some weights in you. Well WASLEY, we’ll make sure you have an extra special meal. Because don’t worry, I’m an EXPERT surgeon. It comes with the territory. Some super glue. Some stitches and you’ll be back as new. But not Colleen…oh no. Old MacDonald is gonna not have a farm, not have a title…and not have a will to live.”

Williams chuckles to herself.

Williams: “Class is in session and you’re going to fail!”

Williams gets up and spins around with WASLEY.

Williams: “Oh…that sounds just devilish.”

Williams smiles as she skips off.

Sharper: “What in the world?”

Knots: “Colleen may have just pushed Kim further. You don’t mess with someone who is already that unstable!”

Sharper: “What is she now thinking for Retribution?!”

Syren vs. Billy Heaven Jr.

Do it baby! Do what I should think!
Do it-do it baby, do what I could think!

The opening polyphonic strokes of Tommy Richman’s “Million Dollar Baby” hit the PA, and the crowd immediately turns to boos. The stage lights intensify in brightness. Through the light, we can see the outline of an emerging competitor.

I AIN’T EVER REP A SET BABY!

A two-step through the light and into the ramp, Billy Heaven pops onto the scene in his wrestling gear, a very large pair of sunglasses on his face. The neck brace remains around his neck and a wrist brace around his hand.

I AIN’T DO NO WRONG!

A shimmy and a hard stop.

I COULD CLEAN UP GOOD FOR YA! OH I KNOW RIGHT FROM WRONG!

A sharp three-hundred degree pivot on the ball of his foot, a crisp landing in a split-legged stance, left hand pointing to the sky.

‘CAUSE I WANNA MAKE IT, SO BADLY!

A sharp return of his upward pointed hand into an intense pump, thrust, and strut forward. He then winces.

I’M A MILLION DOLLA BAYBAY, DON’T AT ME!

And with that said, Billy Heaven Jr. obnoxiously smiles pointing to the crowd as he makes his way down to the ring. He briefly stops, holding his neck, before then continuing on his way. The cameras gets a close up shot of his face showing him with the outline of a teardrop under his eye with a second one underneath.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a twenty minute time limit. First, on his way to the ring, from Los Angeles, California, representing The Fall of Man, he is Billy Heaven Jr.!”

Knots: “Holy crap! He killed another man!”

Sharper: “Oh God….”

He reaches the ring. He grabs at the bottom rope and lifts his leg up. He grabs his neck collar and gingerly rolls in under the ropes. He slowly gets up, using the ropes to get up and then gets up and outstretches his arms to receive his less than warm ovation, but it does not seem to register. He takes his sunglasses off and sets them on the top turnbuckle before standing on the second rope, leg over the top, bringing his hands together in a prayer. “Milllon Dollar Baby” dies out.

Sharper: “Billy Heaven Jr. now out here against Syren. It’s clear the man may not be at one hundred percent-“

Knots: “Heaven says he’s fine. His doctor says he’s fine. He’s a bit banged up, that’s all. The man has been in Tactical Warfare. A Title match. Now against a Hall of Famer. Come on. He’s a fighter! A warrior!”

The lights in the arena plunge into darkness. A pulsing sound akin to a heartbeat plays out across the PA system as the fans cheer. We cut to the backstage area we see Syren, in her full ring gear, complete with black ring jacket and pink halter-top/black tights, with the SCW Adrenaline Championship around her waist, making her way down a corridor, accompanied by Lexy Chapel dressed in a long skirt and t-shirt that reads ‘REJOICE, LEXY NATION’. She begins walking into the arena as we cut back to inside to see the fans reacting. “Groupie” by Cassie Steele then hits as we see one of the doors opening and Syren and Lexy walking through. She pauses to take in the atmosphere before walking down toward the ring.

Sinfully Seductive

Captivatingly Corrupt

DARK FANTASY

Syren and Lexy both walk down the walkway to the crowd barricade, occasionally slapping the hands of fans, before walking around and through the timekeeper’s area. Syren jumps up onto the apron before climbing the turnbuckles on the outside and waving her hands to get the fans fired up. As the camera gets closer to her, she shouts at the camera before pointing out at the fans. The camera switches to Lexy who yells about her client and the ‘Lexy Nation’ appreciating them.

Phillips: “His opponent, being accompanied by Lexy Chapel and representing LexyCorp International, hailing from Los Angeles, California, this is SYREN!”

Syren smiles before leaping over the top rope, dropping to her knees in the ring, posing with both her arms outstretched, palms facing up. Lexy rolls into the ring and stands over her, pointing down at her client. She offers both her hands to Syren, pulling her up. Syren takes off her ring jacket and hands that to Lexy. She climbs up on the middle rope, posing for a moment and then jumping back down and standing in her corner with Lexy as her music fades out.

Sharper: “Syren maybe not expecting to be in this match.”

Knots: “She should know what Billy’s going through. She’s got a history of neck injuries. She should show some compassion.”

Sharper: “I thought Billy was a fighter!”

Knots: “Yeah, but damn it. Syren is a killer! She doesn’t need the teardrops under the eyes. Plus, Ravyn wouldn’t want that obvious message. She wants the silent killer!”

Sharper: “Are you listening to yourself?”

Syren turns and walks over to Lexy and takes something off, leaning through the ropes and handing something at Lexy. Billy Heaven Jr. just nods and points. Billy walks over and Syren turns as Billy steps back. Syren looks at him. The bell sounds.

Billy: “What? Gotta see the Mona Lisa in person? Love the bakery. Can I get a taste-“

Syren just scoffs and chuckles before Billy shrugs and then points to himself.

Billy: “Unless you like what you see? Some sausage rolls in our future, baby? Come on. What do you say?”

Syren shakes her head and Billy then moves forward only for Syren to hoist him up and hits a huge inverted atomic drop. Billy hops up and down in pain, holding himself.

Billy: “Fuck! I need those! I need t-“

Syren then grabs Billy from behind and hoists him up again. Billy kicks his feet out before Syren hits an atomic drop. Billy hops up and down and then falls into the ropes. He tries to get through, but the neck brace and the arm brace get caught. He then drops down and rolls over. He holds his ass and slowly gets up.

Sharper: “Billy deserved all of that.”

Knots: “His balls are broken now!”

He then walks over to Syren who drills him with a discus clothesline. She then turns and hits the Blonde Satisfaction. She goes for the pin.

1!

2!

Billy throws his injured arm up.

Billy: “Fuck!”

Billy rolls over as Syren then rolls off and looks at him. She then turns to the official and Billy moves to the ropes. Syren turns back and looks at Billy before turning back. Lexy turns to Syren.

Lexy: “Come on! Get him! A win is a win-“

Billy then runs up behind Syren and rolls her up in a school boy before turning and leaning over her, sticking his tongue out.

1!

2!

Syren kicks out. She gets up and Billy rolls over and gets up and Syren turns and Syren lunges, only for Billy to spin around and into an Okana roll!

1!

2!

Billy points at Syren’s ass as he does, but Syren kicks out again. Billy falls over, holding his neck. He then starts to get up and turns and walks into a superkick from Syren.

Sharper: “Billy just getting crude.”

Knots: “He’s admiring God’s work!”

Sharper: “Don’t you start!”

Knots: “What? I’m just telling you what he sees! He called it the Mona Lisa!”

Lexy throws her arms up. Billy falls back and bounces off the ropes and pops up and Syren hits a second superkick. Billy stumbles to the ropes and bounces off chest first and turns around into a third superkick.

Chapel: “SUPERKICK! SOIREE!”

Sharper: “And a series of superkicks.”

Knots: “Oh yeah. Just talk about how great she is. Billy is in there with a Hall of Famer!”

Sharper: “And right now, she’s looking to end this. Billy more interested in getting close to the Hall of Famer instead of beating her!”

Billy Heaven Jr. looks up, lifting his head and looks around. Syren then turns and runs to the corner and grabs the top rope and springboards to the top. The crowd roars as she then turns and hits the Blondeton Bomb!

Sharper: “Blondeton! Bomb!”

Knots: “The man is injured! He’s smitten! He’s-“

Sharper: “Beaten!”

Syren turns and hooks the leg.

1!

2!

3!

The crowd roars as the bell sounds. Syren rolls off and shakes her head. She gets up and Lexy Chapel hurriedly enters the ring. She runs over and raises Syren’s arm.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Syren!”

Sharper: “Well, we expected it…Billy Heaven Jr. may have talent. He’s shown glimmers, but tonight, he regressed badly.”

Knots: “He saw something in Syren.”

Sharper: “Yeah, a winner. And Syren hopes to continue this. Retribution won’t be the marquee match she’s used to, but Ravyn Taylor arranging it earlier. We’ll see what she can do in that circumstance.”

Syren stands in the ring and looks at Billy Heaven Jr. who rolls over, coughing. Syren steps over him as Billy looks up and smirks at her before Lexy just runs past him and looks at Syren. Syren just waves Lexy off and exits the ring, dropping down to the floor. Lexy follows as Billy rolls over to his back and looks up, wincing in pain. Syren heads to the back.

COMMERCIALS

“I am Damnation” by Bleed from Within plays as the crowd roars.

Sharper: “Wait a minute. They coming back out here?”

Knots: “They…it was Billy Heaven Jr. by himself moments ago…”

William Heaven walks out from the back, alongside James Evans, Giovanni Aries and finally Waylon Creek. The crowd looks on as the foursome stand on the stage. Heaven looks around and smiles and nods. He then turns and motions to them to come to the ring. They start to head to the ring. James is closest to Heaven as Giovanni Aries takes a drag of his cigarette behind James. Waylon Creek calmly takes the rear.

Sharper: “Now it looks like the whole crew, minus Billy.”

Knots: “Probably best. Hard fought match against Syren and all! The man needs to rest up for all of the tail he’ll have tonight.”

Sharper: “Sure, we’ll go with that.”

Heaven walks up the steel steps and into the ring. He walks across the ring as James Evans climbs up the steps and enters after. Aries rolls into the ring and gets up and cackles as he looks around. Waylon Creek pulls himself onto the apron and then looks around before entering the ring. Heaven is handed a microphone. He take sit and walks back to the middle of the ring. He then looks at Evans, Aries, and Creek. He then says something to them. Heaven turns to the crowd then.

Heaven: “Tick tock….tick tock…”

Heaven looks around.

Heaven: “You can hear it right? The last seconds before the change that this sport has demanded finally comes through.”

Heaven smirks.

Heaven: “While so many of you are chasing for your vindication in SCW championship gold, the fact is that there are only so many true champions in this sport. People who actually represent excellence. There are others who subvert it. And there are others who transcend it all.”

Heaven looks back.

Heaven: “That is what is in this ring. And when you look back at the history books of SCW, you will see that at Dogfight in Dusseldorff, the change was inevitable. It was before that when Waylon Creek first arrived, representing a competitor that none have been able to touch. When James Evans refocused himself to stop with trivial moral crusades and focused on being the driven competitor he is. When we brought in the sparkplug that is Giovanni Aries, a man who can subvert everything and through his anarchism can allow us to tear it all down to build something better…and NO ONE can stop us.”

Heaven turns back to the crowd.

Heaven: “We warned you all. We warned you all that we were going to get what we deserve. That we would push to the top and no one could stop us. No threats of suspension, no minor victories in complicated structures, no random draws…no stripped titles…no disrespectful gestures and misbegotten awards…”

Heaven looks at the sight behind him.

Heaven: “Behind me is the very definition of inevitability!”

Heaven smirks.

Heaven: “Tonight, they don’t even need to say anything. You just need to recognize what Retribution will bring. Light in the Darkness can try and stop James and Giovanni. Luz and Amelia have their talents. That’s for certain. But they have struggled against the Fall of Man for one reason. There is no answer to what is before you. James Evans has been disrespected for years despite being one of the most violent individuals to enter this ring. He has his demons as we all do, but he has overcome them. And while he is a former World Champion, he also understands what an opportunity this is.”

Heaven smirks as he turns to Giovanni Aries.

Heaven: “And even if you’ve figured out James, you can’t possibly then figure out Giovanni Aries. A man reborn. A man who is hunting all those who have corrupted so many in this sport. For him, it’s not respect he is after. He is looking to destroy in order to rebuild. He is looking to take down an evil far greater than we can imagine and that will be used for our purposes. Some of you may question then why he needs to hold gold. That’s the key…he doesn’t for himself. But he will for the greater good. And that’s what he’s focused on. And while Light in the Darkness are a recognized threat. The Tag Team of the year…they also have been too driven by their own drive for accolades. How is that working out, Amelia…Luz…the former interim US Champion. No dream match against Deanna whenever she returns…”

Heaven pauses.

Heaven: “Is the back healed up? Is your arm okay? Or will Amelia need to dig deep? Would not want to let your wife down, right? Are you still thinking about the match? The titles? The fate of what is next? Sure you have a rematch? But that will be how many failures against a force that cannot be stopped? You’re jumping into the current, Luz and Amelia. You’ve been swimming against it. After Retribution, it won’t matter anymore.”

Heaven then turns to Waylon. The crowd roars.

Heaven: “Xander…you already see some of what I see, but you just see it with your own delusions that you can actually stop it.”

Heaven steps forward and turns.

Heaven: “I’ll leave you to your delusions for now. But you felt the fight he has with your own hands. The force he can strike you with. And I simply ask you to ask yourself one question. A year and a half ago, you were ready to call it a career. You hoped Syren would defeat you. To put that final bullet in the chamber into your head so you could call it a career. Are you ready for that moment to finally happen at Retribution?”

The crowd boos.

Heaven: “The Executioner has had a long ride. And you are back at the top. This time though there will be no soft landing. There won’t be that opportunity to make good on lost chances. Because Waylon is going to shove you so hard off the top of the mountain, you will not be getting up. Xander…the new Executioner has arrived. And your head is on his chopping block. The Canary has already chirped…and that sound will end. All that will be left are the consequences. And thanks to your own efforts at the Trios Tournament…you will meet your demise.”

Heaven turns to Creek and places his hand on his shoulder.

Heaven: “Inevitability…personified!”

“I am Damnation” by Bleed from Within plays as Heaven steps back and allows his three clients to stand in the middle of the ring.

Knots: “There you have it. Retribution is going to be a coronation, Sharper!”

Sharper: “That’s what Heaven hopes. That’s what James Evans, Giovanni Aries and Waylon Creek are hoping for. The World Tag Team Championship and the World Championship in the balance. Light in the Darkness and Xander Valentine will stand in their way and they will look to prevent this so called inevitability. And both, Light in the Darkness and Xander Valentine have great legacies already-“

Knots: “And come Retribution, they may be going to the annals of history!”

Heaven motions to Creek as Creek exits the ring. Aries rolls to the floor. James Evans remains in the ring a moment longer before dropping down and rolling out of the ring. The crowd looks on as the scene cuts away.

Backstage, we see Billy Heaven Jr. laying on a gurney outside of the trainer’s office. We see Dr. Okafor talking with Lucas Knight.

Okafor: “Just let him sit there.”

Knight: “He okay?”

Okafor: “He’s fine. I think. Again, I don’t know if he should be competing, but his dad has ranking doctors who are signing off on things. I’ve asked him for a drug test.”

Knight: “Wait…”

Okafor: “He’s really out of it. And I gave him an aspirin to help with the pain he said he had. So he’s…”

Knight: “I mean he’s also hanging out with Giovanni. The drug test may not help much.”

Okafor: “We’re still going to do it. But he seems to be just out of it and…”

Billy Jr.: “No…stay away. I’ll fight you with my staff. Come on girls! Gather around!”

Billy starts to swing upwards with his arm.

Knight: “I’ll get some security.”

Okafor: “Yeah-“

Billy Jr.: “Your mother couldn’t handle this. But she keeps coming back. Lizard boy, yeah-“

Dumont: “Excuse me?”

Dumont is off to the side with Kyle Gibson. Both have bottles of waters with them. They then turn and head over.

Okafor: “Wait, Chris, he-“

Billy Jr.: “Bam! Bam! Bam! Yeah, tore it all up. I’ll take you on and make her scream my name in victory!”

Dumont: “You son of a bitch-“

Gibson: “Chris!”

Dumont stops himself.

Dumont: “You’re lucky I can’t touch you for the title match.”

Billy Jr. leans back, eyes closed.

Billy Jr.: “Yeah, effin’ right. She wanted this and you can’t do anything to stop it-“

Dumont turns to Gibson and then back.

Dumont: “Hey…Billy…Nothing says I can’t beat your ass in a match. You’re being cleared…Retribution….how about it?’

Billy Jr.: “BACK LIZARD GUARDS!”

Dumont turns back to Gibson.

Billy Jr.: “I’ll take all of you on. No matter what. I’ll beat you all. Fall of Man is inevitable! Hell yeah….”

Dumont just turns to Gibson and chuckles.

Dumont: “Good enough for me.”

Okafor just watches tunned as Dumont turns to Gibson and the two walk off.

Breakdown returns as “Haunted” by Kane Brown and Jelly Roll plays in the background. The Retribution logo comes up on the screen. We then see a still for Syren vs. Gavin Taylor vs. Diamond Steele vs. Kemal Yilmaz.

Sharper: “Folks, CHBK has been busy and we saw Ravyn Taylor negotiate this before, but it’s going to happen. Syren will in action. Four way. Gavin Taylor, her former opponent at Rise to Greatness in years past. And Diamond Steele who rebounded nicely earlier. Kemal Yilmaz defeated her last week. But he’ll have a big opportunity too.”

Knots: “But that’s not all. How…HOW!”

The Retribution logo comes up on the screen as we then see a still for Chris Dumont vs. Billy Heaven Jr.

Sharper: “Billy Heaven Jr. ran his mouth-“

Knots: “He was out of it!”

Sharper: “Dumont heard it and it’s going to be a taped fist match. Dumont challenged him to a literal fight and CHBK has signed off on it. And we know Dumont wants to take out Billy Heaven Jr. as he wants William Heaven. He’ll get a bit closer at Retribution maybe.”

Amelia Nevado vs. Clyde Sutter

The lights in the arena go out as the opening chords of “Unforgiven” by Metallica begins to play.  As the song picks up its pace a spotlight shines at the top of the ramp and we see “The Assassin” Clyde Sutter standing there with a sinister grin on his face.  He is joined by the beautiful Melinda Braddock.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall with a twenty minute time limit! First, on his way to the ring, accompanied by Melinda Braddock, from Charlotte, North Carolina, he is The Assassin, Clyde Sutter!”

After a few moments of soaking in the crowd reaction, which he seems to enjoy despite their booing, Sutter and Melinda begin to make their slow walk down the ramp. The spotlight follows the sinister sociopath as he approaches the ring. They reach the ring area and Melinda kisses him on his cheek. Sutter then foregoes the steel steps as he leaps up from the floor to the ring apron.  With the spotlight remaining only on Sutter as one of the few lights in the arena at the moment, Sutter enters the ring and then stand in the center. The sound of Metallica dies down and the lights come back on.

Sharper: “A lot of people reading into this one. Sutter about to face Amelia Nevado. Sutter and the Fall of Man crossing paths during the commercial break as you saw.”

Knots: “Just people admiring each other’s work. Maybe the business is over between them.”

Sharper: “I don’t know about that. You have James Evans facing Adam Brock later. No doubt a way to maybe arrange for things to get a certain outcome. You scratch my back; I scratch yours type deal.”

“Victorious” by Skillet begins playing as the lights dim a bit. Slowly, Amelia Nevado makes her way onto the stage, putting herself front and center as she folds her hands in front of her, looking like a proper young lady as she looks somewhat solemnly down towards the ring. After a moment of this, La Pequeña Luz skips out from behind Amelia and stands beside her, giving her a pep talk before planting a quick kiss on her cheek which brings a smile to Amelia’s face. Both wear their World Tag Team Championship.

Phillips: “And his opponent, accompanied by La Pequena Luz, from Oxford, England, she is one half of the SCW World Tag Team Champions, she is Amelia Nevado!”

The two proceed to lock hands before heading down to the ring, Amelia’s look growing more determined and battle-ready as Luz continues her pep talk. Once they reach ringside, Amelia pulls Luz into a brief but passionate kiss before letting her go as she climbs the ring steps onto the apron, wiping her feet before stepping through the ropes. As the song goes into the chorus, Amelia gives a victorious fist pump to the delight of the fans as she takes a moment to soak in the lyrics before removing her robe and mask and handing them off to Luz on the outside, Luz taking the opportunity to give some last minute advice and encouragement.

Sharper: “Nevado going to be in tough here. And the Light in the Darkness they need a win.”

Knots: “They had one against Billy…he was injured…sorry! Cleared! He was cleared!”

Sharper: “Fall of Man deep in the minds of the Light in the Darkness. They need some light right now. But this is going to be hard with a man like Sutter across the ring from Amelia.”

Knots: “He’s looking to snuff out any light that remains.”

The bell sounds and Amelia steps out as Sutter smirks. He steps out too and the two look at one another and Sutter mockingly holds his hand up. Amelia looks at him and then lunges and sweeps around him and into a waistlock. Sutter grabs her hands and pulls them apart. He then turns and wrenches the arm. Amelia winces and Sutter clubs her in the back. Amelia drops to the mat and Sutter grabs her and pulls her up and clubs her again. Amelia rolls over. She moves to the corner. Sutter cracks his neck and looks at Amelia as Amelia looks around and then runs at him. Sutter goes to grab her, but again, she drops down, sweeping around and into a waistlock. She then moves into a side headlock. Sutter reaches around and he then hoists her up and then lifts her up and throws her over the top rope. Amelia lands on her feet and falls into the barricade, looking up. Sutter just backs up and shakes his finger. (1)

Sharper: “And Sutter just muscling Nevado up and tossing her over the top rope.”

Knots: “And just mocking her. Time may be running out, Sharper!”

Amelia starts to get up. Luz encourages her from a distance. (2) Amelia then moves to the ropes and grabs at them. She pulls herself up onto the apron. Sutter then heads over and grabs her, but Amelia shoulders him in the ribs. She then spins around and into the ring and runs across. Sutter turns and goes to clothesline Amelia. Amelia bounces off the other side and Sutter turns only for Amelia to hit a diving European uppercut. Sutter stumbles back and into the ropes. Amelia gets up and runs over and hits another European uppercut. Sutter’s head snaps back. She hits a third and the crowd roars before she hits a fourth. Sutter falls to a knee and gets up and moves to the corner. Amelia watches and runs along the ropes and bounces off and just then, Sutter steps up and grabs her by the throat. He then turns and throws her into the corner. Amelia looks up and Sutter swings, but Amelia ducks under and spins around. Sutter turns and Amelia hits another uppercut. The crowd ohs as Sutter staggers out as Amelia runs into the ropes. She bounces off and Sutter suddenly scoops her up and hits a sidewalk slam. He pulls back on the legs.

Amelia kicks out. She rolls over and moves to the ropes. Sutter gets up, holding his jaw, clearly annoyed. He then runs over to Amelia who kicks him in the stomach.

Sharper: “Amelia with those hard strikes. Trying to use that to take Sutter down.”

Knots: “Not like he’s going to let her suplex him now.”

Sharper: “And Sutter is still up.”

Amelia then turns and runs at Sutter and Sutter lifts her up, but Amelia ends up on his shoulders, seated on them. She leans forward and rolls forward into a victory roll.

The crowd roars as he steps forward and hits a huge fallaway slam. Amelia rolls over and starts to get up and Sutter pulls her in between his legs. Nevado kicks out. Luz looks on. Nevado rolls over and starts to get up. Sutter gets up and drills her with a shot to the ribs. He hits another and then throws her down. She ends up in a seated position and Sutter grabs her and pulls her up in a dragon sleeper!

Sharper: “Dragon sleeper. Amelia in a bad place.”

Knots: “He rolled her into the middle of the ring too!”

Sharper: “And just locking it in. Amelia has to figure something out.”

Sutter pulls back as Amelia grabs at his arm. Sutter keeps the hold on for a couple of seconds, before Amelia grabs at his arm and head and jumps up and backflips through and onto his shoulder. Sutter walks around and then goes to spin her off, but Amelia spins through and grabs his left arm, locking in a Fujiwara arm bar. She starts to force him down. Sutter grits his teeth as she pulls back on the arm. The crowd roars and Sutter refuses to go down. Instead, he lifts her up and just throws her back, slamming her down. The impact causes Amelia to lose her grip. Sutter turns, shaking out his arm and then getting up, annoyed. He turns to Amelia, who gets up and hits a lunging European uppercut. Sutter falls back, through the ropes and to the floor. Amelia turns and runs into the ropes. (1) Sutter winces a bit, getting to his feet, but turning to the ring as Amelia dives through the ropes with a tope suicida. The crowd erupts. (1)

Sharper: “Amelia Nevado takes flight and Sutter didn’t even have a chance to see it coming!”

Knots: “She hit him right on! Jesus!”

Sutter rolls over as Amelia rolls away. (2) She starts to get up. Sutter grabs at the barricade, using it to start to pull himself up. (3) Amelia turns and forearms him in the jaw before turning and going to roll him into the ring. She rolls in after. Sutter gets up and Amelia runs at him and spins around him and hooks him with a full nelson before hitting a snap dragon suplex into a bridge!

Sutter kicks out. The crowd ohs. Amelia rolls over and gets up and turns to Sutter who stirs and grabs him by the head and traps his arm. She turns him over going for the Cutting Ties, but Sutter spins out and shoves her into the ropes. She bounces off the ropes and Sutter catches her and hoists her up before planting her with the Assassination. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “Oh! Oh! Assassination!”

Knots: “And Amelia Nevado was just stuffed.”

Sharper: “Swung around and planted.”

Sutter rolls her over and covers her with a lateral press.

Sutter lets go and rolls over. Amelia ends up in the corner, clutching her arm. She takes a moment before then starting to get up. Luz warns her, but Sutter runs over and kicks her in the ribs. He then pulls her out and whips her into the ropes. Sutter runs into the ropes too. They go to meet in the middle where Sutter goes for a Clothesline from Hell, but Amelia somersaults under. She ends up on her feet and turns and Sutter turns and runs at her, but Amelia catches her arm and ducks under and goes for the Blight Choke!

Sharper: “Blight Choke! Amelia trying to get it fully locked on!”

Knots: “He’s taller and she’s not got it fully on.”

Sutter stays upright trying to block it. Amelia jumps onto his back and manages to lock it in, but Sutter staggers around the ring snarling before spinning around and sending her back first into the corner. Sutter hits a back elbow and then another before staggering forward. He then turns around and grabs Amelia. He pulls her out and then scoops her up, but Amelia slides down behind him, down his back before pulling him down into a roll-up.

Sutter kicks out just after three as Amelia rolls over and to the apron. She then rolls to the floor as the bell sounds. The crowd cheers. Melinda looks on stunned as Luz jumps up and down in happiness and embraces her wife.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Amelia Nevado!”

Sharper: “A big win for Amelia Nevado. A big win for Light in the Darkness going into their huge tag defense against Fall of Man!”

Knots: “They needed that. After losing the US Title, they needed it…but I don’t know if it’s going to stop it!”

Sharper: “Nevado able to keep Sutter’s shoulders to the mat and Amelia hoping that can be some momentum for her and Luz against Evans and Aries at Retribution!”

Sutter gets up and turns and threatens the official who bails the ring. Melinda enters the ring and goes over to Sutter as Amelia and Luz embrace before Luz raises Amelia’s arm in the air. They celebrate at ringside as the scene cuts away.

We open from Breakdown where we see Clyde Sutter sitting on a storage crate. He takes a towel handed to him by Melinda Braddock and rubs it over his face. He tosses it aside and stands up. Jaina Lancaster walks over to him.

Jaina: “Clyde, can I get a word?”

Sutter: “What?”

Jaina: “Just wanted to let you know it’s been made official – you won’t be challenging Ryan LeCavalier for the Television Championship at Retribution. CHBK has given Adam Brock that opportunity.”

Sutter looks at her and then to Melinda before storming off. Melinda just walks over to Jaina.

Melinda: “He just made a big mistake.”

Melinda turns and heads off following Sutter as we cut back to the ring.

Selena Frost vs. Chris Lawler

The dimmed lights cast an atmosphere of anticipation as the arena falls into darkness, the only illumination coming from the pulsating strobe lights. The crowd's murmurs fade into a hush as the opening chords of "Warrior" by Imagine Dragons reverberate through the speakers, electrifying the air with anticipation.

From the depths of the darkness, a figure emerges, his silhouette outlined against the backdrop of flashing lights. With each step, the floor trembles beneath his feet, echoing the determination that propels him forward. It's Chris Lawler, a titan among men, his presence commanding attention as he strides purposefully down the entrance ramp.

His eyes, a piercing shade of blue, remain fixed on the ring ahead, unwavering in their focus as if they could pierce through the very fabric of reality. Ignoring the cacophony of cheers and jeers that surround him, Lawler remains resolute in his mission, his gaze locked on the squared circle where his destiny awaits.

As Lawler reaches the foot of the ring, the strobe lights reach a crescendo, bathing him in a pulsating glow of light and shadow. With a subtle nod to the crowd, Lawler ascends the steel steps, each footfall a testament to his unwavering determination.

Finally, he steps between the ropes, his presence filling the ring with an aura of intensity and purpose. Standing tall in the center of the ring, Lawler raises his gaze to the heavens, a silent vow etched upon his features. Tonight, he will leave everything in the ring, his spirit unbroken, his resolve unyielding, as he prepares to face whatever challenges come his way.

Sharper: “Chris Lawler will take on Selena Frost here tonight with some very obvious frustrations mounting in recent weeks.”

Knots: “And what a great time for Chris to make a change. He seems conflicted to me, Sharper. He isn’t quite sure if he should let this newfound aggression take over.”

Sharper: “Well he’d might better let tonight be the night, because he’s going to have a full plate.”

BELIEVE IT... OR NOT!

"Thank You for Hating Me!" by Citizen Soldier plays throughout the arena, the SCW Universe deafening the song with their boos. The lights shift to dark purple and blue, filling the arena as snow is seen “falling” along the electronic floor and screens as, out from the back, walks the Snow Queen, Selena Frost, taking in the crowd of the SCW Universe with a smirk.

Slowly, Selena shifts her head, her sapphire eyes locked towards the ring as she turns to her side and lifts her front hand gracefully, extending it towards the ring, palm upward. With a lift of her front foot, she suddenly slams it down into the ground, causing a crack like ice to form and sprint down the ramp and towards the ring!

Lowering her arm, the Blue-Eyed Devil walks down the ramp, her steps leaving footprints in the “snow” under her feet. Reaching the ring, Selena goes up the steps and under the ropes to enter it. Once inside and in the center of the ring, she stands still, confident and powerful, as the lights form to make a massive blue and black snowflake under her and the purple and blue lights. Raising her hand back up, towards the audience, once again palm upright, a wicked smirk graces her lips. With a slam of her foot, Selena causes the snowflake at her feet to “crack” as the rampway did, the shards of ice streaking out to all four corners of the ring to shoot out purple streaks of light from the turnbuckle the lights return to normal.

Sharper: “Love her or not, and these people no longer do, but this is the reason you buy a ticket. This is the price of admission right here, folks.”

Knots: “Arguably the most dominant competitor in our sport’s history. Chris Lawler, take a good hard look and find some of that aggression again.”

The bell sounds as Chris Lawler wastes no time locking up with Selena and backing her into the corner with an aggressive elbow grind to the face. Selena tries to get free, but Chris thrusts his palm back in and pushes Selena’s head into the buckle. Lawler with a straight right hand attempt that Selena evades, rolling out of the corner. Chris comes charging towards her, but a drop toe hold brings him crashing back to the mat. Selena wastes no time in hurrying to her feet. Chris springs up, holding his face. Selena comes off the ropes with a diving forearm that drops her opponent to the mat. Lawler gets up quickly before Selena beautifully sweeps his leg. As Lawler tries to get up, she drives in with a thunderous kick to Chris’s chest that connects with a thud, but Chris catches. As Chris rises to his feet, Selena is left hopping. Chris sweeps the stabilizing leg, then stomps hard down on Selena’s chest. Lawler down now with a couple of mounting right hands. The referee counts Chris down.

Sharper: “The early flurry by Selena Frost with that patented rapid fire offense was offset by Chris catching that foot and driving his own right down on the former World Champion.”

Knots: “That was one hell of a blow delivered by Chris, and then those right hands! Lawler’s on fire lately.”

Lawler lifts Selena up and immediately drives her into the corner. A couple more close quartered sharp elbows stun Selena as she desperately tries to get away. Chris then grabs the second rope and drives his shoulder into Selena’s ribs, doubling her over. He pulls her out of the corner aggressively, then lifts her up and drops her to the mat with a hard sidewalk slam! He hooks the near leg.

Tw–kickout by Selena as she tries to roll away. Chris wastes no time launching himself back on top with a side headlock that keeps Frost grounded. Selena struggles to break free, looking extremely irritated at the predicament.

Sharper: “Lawler allowing Selena Frost very little space here and using that vast veteran experience to pick up on what Frost isn’t comfortable with. He’s not letting her use that speed at all.”

Knots: “It’s not everybody that can detect weakness in Selena Frost. If Lawler stays on top of her with this level of focus, who knows what could happen?”

Selena gets her feet under her with her head still trapped in the headlock. She rears up over the top and tumbles out of the headlock. Lawler gets to his feet. Springboard crossbody off of the second rope by Frost and into an immediate cover!

Kickout by Lawler. Selena gets up and steps off Lawler. As Lawler stands up, he’s met with a standing dropkick from Selena. Lawler into the corner now. Frost aggressively goes to the other corner, frustration showing on her face, and runs in with a vicious bicycle knee strike to the side of Lawler’s head! He rolls out and Selena covers.

2!

Kickout by Lawler. Selena smirks, looks down on Lawler, and slaps him in the back of the head.

Frost: “You’re not on my level. Do you hear me?”

Sharper: “Boy, I don’t know if you can hear that at home, folks, but Selena Frost is letting Chris Lawler know just how she feels right now after that brutal knee strike to the side of his head.”

Knots: “Chris Lawler is used to hearing that from beautiful women. Can’t be the first time in his life.”

Sharper: “Never change, Jonathan.”

Selena back on the offensive, grabbing the top rope and using her leverage to drive her foot down on top of Lawler, then again and again. Lawler has nowhere to go. Selena with a hard shot that clips Chris’ head, the follow through going right through the ropes with her right foot that makes the crowd roar! Then, she takes her foot and uses it to choke Chris against the bottom rope!

The ref breaks the count. Lawler holds his jaw, wincing in pain from the kick through the ropes. Selena backs off, then vaults herself to the top rop, stalking Chris patiently. The referee is checking on Chris, who waves him off. Then, Selena runs the top rope and leaps off and wraps her legs around Chris’s head, using her weight to try to turn him into a Dragonrana! But Chris hangs on! Locking his arms over Selena’s legs, Selena waving her hands no, as he launches her back up into the air over his shoulders, then levels her with an Alabama Slam!

Ref: 1!

3…NO! Selena kicks out just in time!

Sharper: “Good lord. What power by Chris Lawler to hang on as Selena Frost was this close to nailing that Alaskan Dragonrana! That could’ve been all! Instead, this back and forth match carries on with Chris Lawler with a great opportunity after that Alabama Slam!”

Knots: “Lawler has done everything he needs to do to steal this one from Selena Frost! He put her through the mat with that move!”

The crowd can’t believe it as Selena lays prone on the mat. Chris back on the offensive now, immediately going back to work by picking her up and dropping her with an elevation belly to back suplex. Lawler wastes no time in picking Selena up before hoisting her up in the air with a military press!

Sharper: “Fury Suplex coming up from Chris Lawler!”

Lawler steps and drops Selena into position for the spinebuster, but Selena holds on out of sheer desperation, locking on a guillotine choke as she lands! Chris waves his arms around, stuck in the choke temporarily as Selena tries to synch it on! Chris, stuck in the hold, throws his arm over the top of Selena’s head and violently whips back, planting her with a hard vertical suplex. He leaves it hooked and rolls into an attempt at a second. Through a grimace, Selena twists out and holds onto the arm, bounding off the second rope and sending Chris across the ring with a springboard arm drag! Chris hits the mat and tries to get to his feet. Selena bounds off the second rope and turns around, looking for a Tornado DDT. But again, Chris stops the momentum and catches her in a belly to belly attempt! Selena drives her elbow into his head, then once again, forcing the break. Selena catches him with a hard knee to the gut, backs off, and drives Chris into the mat with an axe kick! The crowd oh’s as Selena moves into the cover!

Thr—Kickout by Chris!

Sharper: “There was a lot of authority in that kick! Chris Lawler wants a win here tonight, but Selena Frost says over my dead body!”

Knots: “It’s been closer than she’d like it. Selena had better wake up, and that kick is the perfect start.”

Selena looks angry yet again as she gets up and sizes Chris up. She waits for him to get to his feet and steps forward, looking for the Glass Shard! Chris narrowly avoids it, bounds off the far ropes and drops her with a diving shoulder tackle! He gets to his feet before hitting another as Selena rises to her feet. Chris, winded, waits for Selena to get up, then pushes her into the corner before grabbing her arm and sending her to the far corner! Selena runs off the second rope, then the third, back flipping over an incoming Lawler! Lawler stops before hitting the buckle, but Selena backs him right into it with a front kick. Selena runs off to the far corner and attempts to run in, but Chris explodes out of the corner with a clothesline! Both competitors are down. Chris is starting to crawl towards Selena, a pained look on his face! Finally, he’s able to drape his arm across Selena!

Ref: 1!

Kickout by Selena!

Sharper: “Chris Lawler starting to show signs of fatigue. If he could’ve made that cover faster, he might’ve had a shot.”

Knots: “That old man conditioning is starting to show. Can he keep up with the multi-time former World Champion, or does he need to do more water aerobics?”

Lawler struggles to get to his feet. When he does, he lifts her up, boots her in the stomach, and hooks her for the Powerbomb! He lifts her up onto his shoulders, but Frost flips over the top, hooks her legs under Chris’s arms, and drills him with a sunset driver! The crowd oh’s as Chris falls to the mat. Out of instinct, he tries to pull himself to his feet, but he has no legs under him. Hobbling, he turns around and gets drilled with the Glass Shard! Selena falls over on top of him as he hits the mat.

The bell sounds as “Thank You For Hating Me” hits the PA.

Phillips: “Here is your winner…Selena…FROST!”

The referee goes to raise Selena’s hand, but she rips it away as she stares down at Chris, face furrowed up in distaste. Then, she rises to her feet and tells the referee to raise her hand.

Sharper: “I don’t think Selena Frost was expecting that kind of a fight tonight.”

Knots: “I’d hate to say it, but credit to Chris Lawler, who once again fights hard but comes up short.”

Lawler recovers as Selena looks down on him with disdain. Selena pulls away before turning and exiting the ring. She then starts to exit the ring. Selena Frost just walks up the rampway as Lawler slowly rolls over and looks around and then down.

Sharper: “Lawler…after earlier. What is going through his head?”

Knots: “What about Gigi’s?”

Selena Frost heads to the back and just then, we see Kirsten Scott running out from the back and clotheslining her down. The crowd erupts. Selena rolls over and winces. Kirsten then leans over her.

Kirsten: “Don’t worry! I wasn’t going to keep you waiting….you want to put your title shot because you’re pissed off I’m calling it like it is with your wife. Well…you can see for yourself with her soon enough.”

Kirsten Scott then grabs Selena as she gets up and just turns and throws her off the stage. Selena lands on her feet, but the momentum takes her forward and she rolls through to her back. The crowd cheers as Kirsten Scott looks down at her and then backs up to the camera.

Kirsten: “And CHBK…she’s putting her title shot on the line. SCW still OWES me!”

Kirsten Scott backs up and admires her handiwork as Selena grimaces in pain, almost looking out and annoyed while showcasing the pain she’s in. Scott backs up and turns to the back.

CHBK is seen talking to Dean Black backstage.

CHBK: “We need to figure out what this Disconnect Match is. Is he even here?”

Black: “If we call him, will he even answer?”

CHBK: “Good question. I heard he gave us a voice mail box and that’s it. So…probably not. When he gets to San Antonio, we need to confirm what it is. All we’ve been told is the ring needs to be set up early for something. I’m not happy with how in the dark we are.”

Black: “Of course…I’ll put in some calls.”

CHBK: “Thanks.”

Chapel: “YOU!”

Black looks at CHBK and CHBK just nods as CHBK turns and Lexy Chapel storms over to CHBK, pressing her finger into his chest.

Chapel: “YOU!”

CHBK: “Yes, Lexy?”

Chapel: “What….what is that match? That…four way…Syren is a STAR. She should-“

CHBK: “She’s in a match. And I understand Ravyn-“

Chapel: “OF COURSE!”

CHBK: “Look…the match is booked. Syren is still getting her feet under her.”

Chapel: “She BEAT Bill Heaven. Fall of Man! All of that. Although he is a bit of a douchebag.”

CHBK: “Sadly.”

Chapel: “You should superkick him.”

CHBK: “Excuse me?”

Chapel: “Syren really enjoyed it. I enjoyed it. The world rejoiced.”

CHBK: “Okay. Well Syren can dish out a bunch of superkicks-“

Chapel: “But she’s not in a title match and-“

CHBK: “And she should earn that. She had her match against Asher. She fought hard, but it’s clear there is some ring rust. Let her shake it off. She’s the Syren of old, I can’t hold that down.”

Chapel: “Well, yeah, but-“

Chapel’s eyes widen.

Chapel: “Oh….wait…ew! EW! Is there an HR or-“

CHBK: “Wait…did you-“

Chapel: “You did have a tape-“

CHBK: “Is there a point to this or are you just going to keep complaining?”

Chapel: “Superkick Billy? You’ll feel better. Be better for Syren.”

CHBK: “Bye Lexy.”

CHBK heads off. Lexy just turns and lets out an annoyed grunt before turning and heading off.

The scene opens back up in the main arena, the camera panning across the crowd.

Phillips: “Please welcome at this time….Columbus’s own…SENSATIONAL SIMON LYMAN!”

The crowd roars as “Hero” by Skillet plays throughout the arena. The crowd cheers again as the cameras turn to the entrance way. We then see Simon Lyman walking out from the back, aided with a cane. He is dressed in a suit and looks around. Amy Chastaine then walks out with him, joining him.

Sharper: “Two weeks ago, Ryan Lyman said we’d never hear that song again. But we are hearing it tonight and we will again at Retribution.”

Knots: “I don’t know what to say. Part of me doesn’t want to hear it again. Look at that man. Can he compete against his brother? Who has tried to take Simon’s life and career?”

Simon Lyman slowly starts to walk down the rampway. Amy Chastaine walks alongside him. The two walk down the rampway to the bottom of the ramp. They then go over to the steel steps. Simon quickly fist pumps one young fan before turning and starting to climb up the steps, using the ringpost to help him. He then walks along the apron and steps in, a bit gingerly. He then steps into the ring. Amy Chastaine follows into the ring and Simon walks over and turns to Jason Phillips who is in the ring, waiting for him. Phillips hands Simon the microphone. Simon then looks around as Phillips exits the ring. Simon listens to the crowd as Amy says something to him. The music starts to fade out as a “Simon!” chant begins to break out. Simon looks around, savouring it before then turning and looking around the ring, bringing the microphone to his mouth.

Simon: “Thank you for that…Truly…thank you.”

Simon looks around.

Simon: “It was almost fate….the last stop before Retribution is here. Columbus, Ohio. Where I was born. Where I still own a home. Where Ryan and I first appeared on this earth…”

Simon looks down briefly.

Simon: “Only if this was Detroit would this be more apropos. That’s where he’d been keeping me for months, making sure that I would not blow his master plan of reviving MY name through his efforts. He never could manage being in my shadow. I never thought he’d try to steal it.”

Simon pauses again.

Simon: “But I now know how far he’ll go. I found out in Germany when he grabbed me and piledrove me right in this ring. It’s part of the reason I have the cane. It sometimes takes longer to recover. I sometimes have issues with flare ups related to the stroke. Ryan knew that….but he forgot that I am a fighter!”

Simon looks at the camera.

Simon: “And you probably have noticed something else. Who is standing in this ring? And it’s not just because she hates your guts Ryan. It’s because for her, it’s as personal as it is for me. And she’s been in my corner since you made that challenge, Ryan.”

Simon steps forward and leans on the rope, pointing at the camera with his cane.

Simon: “And while maybe I shouldn’t be in that ring at Retribution, Amy was not going to stop me….and Alex…CHBK….”

Simon steps back and turns to the entrance way.

Simon: “I’m glad you’re not either. And I get it…you don’t want the worst case scenario on SCW’s hands. That’s fine. I’ve signed all of the documents. I know what may await. I know what Ryan wants to do to me, hopes to do to me. But there’s something EVERYONE has to know about Retribution…I won’t be rolling over and taking it. If I’m not going to take Ryan down with me, I may damn sure die in the process!”

The crowd roars.

Simon: “You RUINED my life. I am still picking up the pieces of the lies and destruction YOU created. Friendships broken…FAMILY relationship strained. I still have Trinity struggling to let me see my own daughter while my own daughter doesn’t know what to make of me because they don’t know if it’s me or Ryan because of how BADLY you’ve manipulated this. I lost Amy…You drove her back to alcoholism. YOU have left a trail of bodies and ruined lives of virtually ANYONE and everyone I care about. And that’s before I even look at my own reputation.”

Simon takes a deep breath.

Simon: “I’ll worry about that later. Retribution….Ryan….it’s about ending what you have tried to do. There is only ONE Simon Lyman and that’s me. And-“

Ryan: “That Simon is going to cease to matter…”

Ryan Lyman walks out from the back dressed in a completely white suit, microphone in his hand. Amy Chastaine turns and steps forward. Simon turns and limps a bit forward.

Ryan: “Simon…you’re looking as pathetic as ever. Amy…shut up and stay the hell out of this.”

Amy steps up and Simon stops her again.

Ryan: “No…better yet, so you’re supporting him. Say goodbye to him. He won’t be fighting for anything after Retribution. And the name Lyman will be restored to greatness in MY vision!”

The crowd boos as Ryan then looks up.

Ryan: “Now hit MY music!”

“Jesus He Knows Me” by Ghost plays. The crowd boos as Ryan looks at Simon and just mockingly waves at him before turning and heading to the back.

Knots: “Ryan looks as confident as ever.”

Sharper: “At Retribution, he faces his brother. His brother who had his first match in seven years in January. Who clearly isn’t at one hundred percent…”

Knots: “Simon better use that heart he has. Or Ryan is going to carve him up.”

Sharper: “And it’s unsanctioned. Anything goes…”

Simon Lyman looks at the entrance way as Amy Chastaine paces around the ring, clearly trying to calm herself down as the scene cuts away.

Breakdown returns as we see Destiny Page standing backstage with the interim SCW United States Champion, Asher Hayes.

Page: “Welcome back to Breakdown. Destiny Page here and I am with the interim-“

Hayes: “No…I am the SCW United States Champion. I am going to carry myself as that. And if Deanna returns, she will be challenging me to regain her title.”

Page: “Uh…okay, I-“

Hayes: “No, I want this to be heard. This isn’t me big dogging her. It’s not an ego play. It’s that the champion should compete. The champion should be available and the champion, right now, is me. All Deanna has is a guarantee, when she returns, and I hope one day she does, to challenge for this title. And I’ll be ready for her. As I think Luz was. Too bad for Luz, I was better than her last week. Simple as that. And right now, I’m without a title defense at Retribution. But I’ll be there. I’ll on call, because that’s what a champion does. So…I’ll be easy to find. And again, the SCW US Champion will be there. No interim.”

Hayes turns and walks off. Page nods.

Page: “There’s the SCW US Champion. Uh…back to the ring.”

The Shinigami Foundation vs. Hollywood

A rush of paparazzi rush down either side of the ramp as a red carpet is rolled out. The sounds of Michael Jackson’s “Hollywood Tonight” begins to play as Chris and Ryan Hollywood come out from the back, prompting a shamelessly stolen trope of flashes from the cameras as they stand atop the ramp.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Hollywood, California, they are Chris and Ryan… Hollywood!”

They respond to pose instructions from the photographers as they move towards the ring. Once in the ring, they pose in the middle of the ring, back to back, as their music fades.

Sharper: “Chris and Ryan stunned Team Desire a few weeks ago, but it seems like a lot of their recent focus has been on trying to ‘help’ our backstage interviewer Destiny Page.”

Knots: “Why do you have to say it like that, Adam? Destiny’s a Hollywood star now! And Chris and Ryan are just trying to help her embrace it!”

Sharper: “Well, hopefully their heads are focused on this match, because they’re very familiar with who’s about to walk down that ramp.”

“Never Gonna Stop (The Red Red Kroovy)” by Rob Zombie hits as Jamison Frost leads the way for Wil Pierce and Alex Belmont onto the stage. The three of them stand there, taking in the mixed response from the fans for a moment before Dante Slayton walks out and joins them, saying something to both men.

Phillips: “Their opponents, being accompanied to the ring by Jamison Frost and Dante Slayton, they are Wil Pierce and Alex Belmont… The Shinigami Foundation!”

The group all start heading down to the ring, looking quite annoyed as they see all the paparazzi that followed Hollywood out here are still scattered around the ring, snapping photos as Chris and Ryan pose for them. Chris notices them starting to approach and leans on the ropes.

Chris: “Whoa, whoa, whoa! Give us a few minutes! We need to milk this photo op for all it’s worth!”

The Shinigami Foundation all just look at each other as Chris, believing he’s gotten through to them, moves back to join his brother in the middle of the ring as they keep posing for pictures. Dante slaps Alex and Wil on their backs, the camera audibly picking up him telling them to “take out the trash” before the two of them blitz the ring and attack! Chris and Ryan are ill-prepared as Alex and Wil begin beating the hell out of them. Referee Steve Hollinsworth tries to establish some order so he can officially start the match, but the Shinigami Foundation don’t seem to care.

Knots: “So much for Hollywood’s photo op!”

Sharper: “Wil Pierce and Alex Belmont have made their disdain for Hollywood’s antics very clear in the past, and they know they can send a message tonight by getting back into the win column.”

Knots: “Or just sending these guys out of the Nationwide Arena in the back of an ambulance!”

The Shinigami Foundation have backed Hollywood into opposite corners as they continue to hammer away on them, not caring about the photographers still snapping pictures all around ringside. They glance at one another for a moment before irish whipping Chris and Ryan to crash into each other in the middle of the ring, but the Hollywood brothers manage to hook arms and do a little do-si-do before posing for their ‘adoring public’ which garners a mixed response from the fans. Their fun is short-lived, however, as Belmont runs off the ropes right in front of them before catching them both right in the face with the Gilgamesh Full House! Chris and Ryan both scramble out of the ring, looking to regroup on the floor as the photographers crowd around them, ignoring the brothers’ protest of the photo op being over. The fans, however, begin cheering in anticipation as Pierce looks around and motions to them before he runs off the opposite ropes before sailing through the ropes like a missile with the Arrow from the Depths of Hell, barreling into Hollywood and all the photographers! The fans are on their feet as Pierce pulls himself up and proudly roars for them as the photographers flee up the ramp, with Slayton shoving one of them who considers trying to stick around to make sure he leaves. Pierce grabs Chris and throws him back into the ring, where Belmont is waiting for him, as Hollinworth finally signals for the bell to officially begin this match.

Sharper: “This match-up officially underway now after Wil Pierce cleared out the paparazzi and left Hollywood reeling!”

Knots: “The Shinigami Foundation aren’t getting paid by the hour, Adam. They’ve got a match to win and trash to take out according to Dante Slayton!”

Pierce looks down at the recovering Ryan with disgust before he slowly walks up the steel steps to stand in his corner as Belmont pulls Chris to his feet before taking him over with a double underhook suplex and floating over into a pin.

1!

2!

Chris kicks out! Belmont looks annoyed that he didn’t secure a quick win as he proceeds to mount Chris and rain down right hands onto him. Referee Steve Hollinsworth warns Belmont about potential closed fists, but Belmont responds by pulling Chris up into a seated guillotine choke, looking to squeeze the life out of him. Hollinsworth checks in with Chris, whose arm is flailing but it’s starting to lose energy.

Sharper: “You weren’t kidding about them not getting paid by the hour, Jon. Belmont looking to choke out Chris Hollywood and end this match in short order!”

Knots: “Watch Ryan though!”

Ryan suddenly slides into the ring and boots Belmont in the face to break up the submission! He keeps stomping away on Belmont for a moment before moving over to Pierce standing on the apron, posing for the fans and motioning for him to enter the ring and throw down. Pierce simply responds by piefacing Ryan, and when Ryan gets in his face about it, Pierce grabs his head over the top rope before blasting him with a european uppercut! Ryan stumbles back, turning right into a leg lariat from Belmont! Ryan rolls out to the floor as Belmont just glares down at him. But as he turns around Chris surprises him with a snap hurricanrana that he holds the pin on!

1!

2!

Belmont kicks out!

Sharper: “Ryan’s antics nearly gave Chris an opening to steal this one, but Belmont managing to kick out of that impressive hurricanrana.”

Knots: “We know the Shinigami Foundation hate not being taken seriously, and Hollywood might be using that to their advantage! They’re geniuses, Adam!”

Sharper: “I don’t know if I’d go that far, Jon…”

Belmont crawls to the corner to help him back to his feet before he turns just in time for Chris to catch him with a leaping forearm that crushes him in the corner. Ryan climbs back up onto the apron and Chris tags him in before he irish whips Belmont into the ropes. As Belmont hits them, Pierce reaches out and tags himself in, unbeknownst to Hollywood. Chris takes Belmont down with a drop toe hold as Ryan runs off the ropes and nails him in the side of the head with a running dropkick! Ryan rolls Belmont over into the cover, but Referee Steve Hollinsworth waves it off. Chris starts arguing with him as Ryan stands up and turns just in time for Pierce, who had just climbed to the top rope, to leap off and catch him with a diving european uppercut! Chris turns and realizes what happened before charging at Pierce, who ducks his clothesline attempt and catches his arm before taking him over with a release dragon suplex!

Sharper: “Hollywood getting a little ahead of themselves and Wil Pierce is taking full advantage!”

Knots: “I’m sure distracting themselves with thoughts of the afterparty is all part of the plan!”

Sharper: “I doubt it, but speaking of distractions…”

The fans are buzzing as we see the Cowgirls From Hell, Veronica and Cara Strader, starting to make their way down to the ring. Dante notices them before moving around to meet them at the bottom of the ramp, but the Cowgirls stop about halfway down as Cara can be heard claiming they’re just here to watch. Pierce also notices this, but Jamison Frost can be heard snapping at him from out on the floor to stay focused on the match. Pierce just huffs as he grabs Ryan while both Belmont and Chris has since made it to the apron in their respective teams’ corners. Pierce hooks Ryan with a hammerlock before planting him with the Devil Windmill, bridging for the pin!

1!

2!

Ryan gets a shoulder up! He rolls over to the ropes, complaining about his arm, but Pierce doesn’t let up as he stomps away on Ryan’s shoulder a few times before tagging Belmont back in. They proceed to unload on Ryan with the Devil’s Dance as Referee Steve Hollinsworth makes the five count, with Pierce stopping at four and stepping back out onto the apron while Belmont throws a few more shoot kicks. He tags Pierce back in and the two of them take Ryan out of the corner with a reverse double hip toss before blasting him with the Creeping Death! Pierce makes the cover as Belmont steps back onto the apron, pointing at the Cowgirls up on the ramp.

1!

2!

Chris runs into the ring and catches Pierce in the face with a basement dropkick to break up the count!

Sharper: “The Shinigami Foundation almost had the win there off the Creeping Death, but Chris able to save the match for him and his brother.”

Knots: “Belmont got distracted trying to talk trash to the Straders and didn’t pay attention to try and cut Chris off!”

Chris returns to his team’s corner as both Ryan and Pierce start to stir. Ryan tries to crawl over to tag his brother in, but Pierce grabs his foot to keep him from getting too far. Ryan hops on one foot as Pierce gets back to his feet before pulling him in for a stiff forearm strike! Ryan staggers into a neutral corner as Pierce measures him before looking for the Code Black, but Ryan moves and Pierce gets himself caught up on the top rope! The fans groan at the sight as the Cara can be seen laughing to Veronica about this up on the ramp. Ryan quickly scrambles over to tag in Chris, and just as Pierce is starting to pull himself free, Ryan runs up the ropes and grabs his head before flipping back into a shiranui! He pauses for a moment, almost looking surprised that he even did that himself, before going for the cover.

1!

2!

Belmont dives in to break up the count! He pulls Chris off of Pierce and hammers away at him with clubbing blows to the back. He sees Ryan start to re-enter the ring and charges, catching him with a high dropkick in the corner! Ryan slumps to the mat as Belmont and Pierce exchange looks before nodding in agreement that it’s time to end this. Pierce grabs Chris in a bearhug as Belmont hops up onto the top turnbuckle as they set up the Disasterpiece, but this is when the Cowgirls From Hell start moving closer to the ring. Dante prepares himself for a fight despite the 2-on-1 odds, and Belmont notices and points at them from the top turnbuckle as if in warning. Chris suddenly shifts his weight and rolls through almost like a monkey flip, throwing Pierce into the turnbuckles and knocking Belmont off and to the floor in a nasty tumble! Pierce starts to recover, but Chris leaps onto him and takes him out of the corner with a handheld monkey flip that sets up Ryan to deliver the Size 12 Stomp, completing the Parallel Play! Ryan rolls Chris on top for the cover before adding himself to the pile.

3!

Referee Steve Hollinsworth calls for the bell as Michael Jackson’s “Hollywood Tonight” hits the speakers again, causing Dante to turn to the ring in disbelief.

Phillips: “Here are you winners… Hollywood!”

Ryan and Chris help each other back to their feet as Hollinsworth goes to raise their arms, but they immediately decide to bail when Dante slides into the ring. The two of them slowly make their way around the ring, laughing and celebrating their win as Dante glares at them before looking up at Veronica and Cara, who are backing up the ramp with smirks on their faces.

Sharper: “The Shinigami Foundation got distracted by the Cowgirls From Hell and it just cost them dearly against Hollywood!”

Knots: “Oh, you know they’re going to fuming about this one. If they didn’t want to wage a war with the Straders before, this just added even more fuel to the fire!”

Belmont sits up against the ring apron, clutching the back of his head from his hard landing as he stares a hole straight through the retreating Hollywood. Pierce is slowly recovering in the ring, slamming his fist against the mat in frustration as Dante climbs to the second turnbuckle, demanding that the Straders come down to the ring for a fight, but Veronica and Cara don’t seem interested right now as they disappear behind the curtain, leaving Hollywood to celebrate their win.

“Psycho in My Head” plays as the Breakdown logo comes up on the screen. We then see a still for James Evans vs. Adam Brock.

Sharper: “Main event is going to be next. And folks, could be a big one. Adam Brock faces James Evans, next!”

The scene fades out.

Breakdown returns as we see Asher Hayes walking out of the building in his coat and with his gear. He walks past a car where a woman’s voice is heard coming from it.

???: “Hey!”

Hayes turns and smirks.

Hayes: “What are you doing here?”

???: “Get in.”

Hayes turns as the window goes up, but the trunk is popped open. Hayes throws his gear in the trunk. The camera moves around, unable to catch who is in the driver’s seat. Hayes walks around and then opens the passenger door and gets in. The car then starts to drive away.

Sharper: “Who was that waiting for him?”

Knots: “Hayes seemed surprised too…who was that?”

James Evans vs. Adam Brock

The howl of a wolf echoes throughout the arena, sending chills down everyone’s spines. The howl is followed by the sound of a heavy guitar that’s quickly followed by bass and drums, then the vocals kick in.

“Born from the dark,
In the black cloak of night.
To envelop its prey below,
Deliver to the light.
To eliminate your enemy,
Hit them in their sleep,
And when all is won and lost,
The spoils of wars are yours to keep”

FWOOSH!!! A series of red, gold and silver fireworks go off at the top of the ramp in a shimmering cascade. A roaming spotlight seeks to penetrate the darkness and find something... Or, perhaps, SOMEONE. A momentary silence, then...

POW!

Four blue fireworks go off and engulf the stage in their light. And as they die away, the darkness falls once more. But it’s not complete... The roaming spotlight catches glimpses of movement, but it’s too indistinct.

“Great nations built from the bones of the dead
With mud and straw, blood and sweat,
You know your worth when your enemies
Praise your architecture of aggression”

BAM!

White-hot green fireworks go off now and this time the spotlight DOES catch someone. Standing there amid the ghastly green glow is the one and only “Wolfsbane” Adam Brock! The fans erupt in a cavalcade of screaming and applause that seems to catch him off guard, but only for a second. He grins wickedly and makes his way down the ramp, slapping hands with the fans and pausing to hug a little boy. The little boy squeals in delight and Adam pauses for a moment at the bottom of the ring steps. Then he grins, backs up a little and does a running baseball slide under the bottom rope. Getting to his feet, he scales each turnbuckle in turn and throws his arms out to his sides, the crowd screaming even more each time he does it. After he hops down from the last turnbuckle, he spins around in a circle before turning to settle his gaze on the person closest to him.

Phillips: “The following contest is your main event of the evening, and it is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, hailing from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania…He is…” Wolfsbane” Adam! Brock!”

The opening of “Shot from a Cannon" can be heard blaring through the PA system. The camera will pan through the curtain as the face of James Evans appears, igniting a negative reaction from the crowd, as they shower him in jeers. The camera remains on James as he breaks through the curtain. The boos intensify as James looks out at the crowd, as Aries, William Heaven, and Waylon Creek join him.

"Ten minutes in he's sweating
Should I have asked for more than fame?
Ignore that beast, he's smiling
It's not 'til next New Year's Eve"

James slowly makes his way to the ring, along with the rest of Fall of Man, as images of him winning various championships and hitting various moves appear on the screen. He reaches the ring, staring at it.

"Wish I could get that list
Yes, I would burn that list
Down he goes"

James then makes his way up the ring steps, before turning and facing the crowd, who continue to boo. Heaven, Waylon, and Aries circle around the ring, remaining on the outside. Brock is shown looking at each member before returning his focus to Evans.

"Set him down to a real life failure
Held fast like the field mice, been there
Give a nod as if he knows, come round
Dead last with a drumroll when the dam blows"

James then goes to the corner and sits on the top turnbuckle, his back to the crowd, as the screen shows him lifting the SCW World title above his head, as the music comes to an end.

Phillips: “And his opponent, representing Fall of Man, hailing from New York City, New York, he is…James! Evans!”

Sharper: “James Evans taking on Adam Brock on the eve of Retribution. James representing Fall of Man, and Adam has been a thorn in the side of Fall of Man, so to speak.”

Knots: “James gearing for a shot at the World Tag Team Championships. Adam dropped Clyde Sutter in Germany, standing up to bullies. Some would say James, along with the rest of Fall of Man have been nothing but that.”

The ref calls for the bell as James climbs down into the ring, his eyes locked with Adam’s. Adam steps out of the corner. James follows suit. Both men reach the center of the ring, and Adam quickly reaches up, grabbing James by the head with his left hand and begins connects with rights, as the crowd starts to cheer. Adam backs James into the ropes, landing an overhead right, before he goes to whip James across the ring. James bounces off the ropes and comes back, only for Adam to connect with a dropkick. James hits the mat and rolls to the outside.

James gets to his feet, but Adam is already running across the ring, before he drops down, hitting a baseball slide, sending James into the barricade.

Sharper: “Adam taking the fight to the two-time SCW World Champion from the get-go.”

Adam looks at James who has his back turned, still leaning on the barricade. Adam shrugs before leaping over the top rope, onto the apron. He then springboards off the middle rope, only for James to get out of the way, shaking his head, as Adam collides with the barricade, ribs first. James grins and brushes his shoulder off.

Knots: “Adam may have taken too much time. Or just didn’t think that one through.”

James walks over and clubs Adam in the lower back once, twice, and a third time, before picking him up from the barricade, and dropping back down, ribs first yet again. James then pulls Adam off the barricade to the floor and rolls back into the ring to break the ref’s count. James then rolls back to the floor, as Adam is shown using the apron to pull himself up. James hits a running knee into Adam’s right side. Adam buckles and drops to one knee, clutching his ribs.

James grabs Adam and rolls him into the ring. James gets to his feet as Adam is shown pushing himself up from the mat. James charges over and kick Adam in the ribs. Adam flops over onto his back before James stomps Adam in the center of his chest. Adam covers up, but James stomps him again, and again, and again. Adam rolls over onto his side and James drives his foot into the right side of Adam’s head. James then hooks the leg.

1!

2!

Adam kicks out!

Sharper: “Adam started off strong, but after that miscalculation, sending him into the barricade, James has picked him apart.”

Knots: “Yeah, he needs to re-think his strategy if Adam wants to win this thing.”

Sharper: “Or to just survive.”

James sits up and grabs Adam by the hair before hitting him with straight right hands. The ref tries to pull James away. James lets Adam go but only for a second as he grabs Adam by both sides of the head before slamming Adam head first into the mat over and over before we hear William yell at him.

Heaven: “JAMES!!!”

James looks over, glaring.

Sharper: “I’m not sure James likes that.”

Knots: “I think you’re right, but we’ve all seen what happens if James has lost control in the past. Surely William doesn’t want that. Not this close to a title match.”

James gets to his feet before reaching down only for Adam to kick him in the face. Adam reaches up and pulls James down, rolling him up.

Sharper: “Oh, Adam with a roll up!”

1!

2!

Sharper: “Does he have him?!?!”

James kicks out!

Knots: “Adam Brock almost pinned James Evans! You have to wonder what’s running through the minds of each member of Fall of Man right about now!”

Adam scrambles to his feet as does James. James turns around and Adam connects with a haymaker, followed by a second. Adam steps back before stepping forward and connecting with a superkick. James hits the mat. Adam grabs James legs then stomps James in the abdomen once, twice, and a third time.

Sharper: “Adam Brock is fired up. Giving James a taste of his own medicine.”

Knots: “But you have to wonder how much of this is just Adam running off adrenaline, right?”

Sharper: “You might be onto something. If that’s the case, then Adam needs to make the most of it. If he sees James as a bully, then take the fight to him and don’t let up!”

Adam then steps through, hooking the legs and flipping over, locking in a sharpshooter. The crowd cheers as the ref checks on James.

Sharper: “Adam locking in that sharpshooter submission.”

The ref checks on James who is shown shaking his head and pulling himself towards the ropes. Heaven is shown urging him to keep going.

Knots: “William Heaven is trying to keep James motivated.”

James reaches out and grabs the bottom rope. The crowd boos a bit as the ref begins the five count.

Ref: “1..2..3..4…”

Adam breaks the hold. The crowd cheers. James is shown using the ropes to get to his feet. Adam clubs James in the back. Adam hooks James, going for an Olympic slam, but James manages to block it, landing on his feet.

Sharper: “James dodging the slam. What’s he…”

James grabs Adam up, going for what appears to be a belly to back suplex, but James dumps Adam over to the top rope, as Adam lands on the corner of the apron, spine first.

With Adam on the floor, cameras show Waylon, Heaven, and Aries walking towards him, only James to step onto the apron.

James: “Stop!”

James waves them off, before he looks down at Adam, who is clutching at his back. James then leaps off the apron, driving both feet into Adam’s back. Adam flails on the floor while James throws his head back and laughs.

Knots: “Double stomp to the back! This just goes to show that when off the leash, James Evans can be as vicious as they come, if not worse.”

Sharper: “Various superstars have tried to downplay his actions in the past, but he enjoys hurting others. There’s no doubt in my mind. Losing to someone doesn’t seem to deny him his pleasure.”

Knots: “But we cannot take away the heart of Adam Brock, even if common sense isn’t playing a factor here.”

Adam is shown using the barricade to pull himself up. James stomps over as he drives his foot into the center of Adam’s back. Adam slides down. James stomps Adam in the head once. Twice. Three times. Four, before grabbing him and whipping Adam into the apron. James lands a right hand, then a second before slamming Adam head first into the apron and rolling him back into the ring, where he goes for the cover.

2!

3….NOOO!!!

Sharper: “Adam Brock is still in this fight! All the damage he’s taken, and he is still here!”
James gets to his feet and pulls Adam up. James connects with a right and Adam drops to the mat, only to bounce right back up. James connects with another right and Adam hits the mat only to get right back up.

Crowd: “ADAM! ADAM! ADAM!”

James hits Adam, but this time he doesn’t drop. James hits Adam again, and Adam fires back, connecting with a left. James goes for another punch, but Adam blocks it. Adam begins connecting with rights and lefts, leaving James dazed. Adam then hooks James and drops him with a swinging neckbreaker.

Adam uses the ropes to get his feet. He clutches his back, and his ribs as he manages to climb to the top rope. He winces as he looks at the fallen James. The crowd gets to their feet before Adam leaps off the top, and connects with a swanton bomb! The crowd erupts!

Sharper: “This place has come alive! Can he do it?”

Adam, continuing to wince, manages to pull himself over to James and drapes an arm over him as the ref makes the count.

1!

2!

3….NOOOO!!!

James shoots the shoulder up! The cameras show Waylon and Aries beginning to move towards the ring, but Heaven holds them back. Adam gets to his feet and pulls James up, only for James to go for a European uppercut up. Adam dodges it, going for a roll-up, but James rolls through and both men get back to their feet, and begin slugging it out.

Knots: “This is what it’s come down to!”

Adam lands a left and goes for another, but James blocks it, and spins Adam around before shoving him towards the corner. Adam runs up the turnbuckle and flips off the top rope, only for James to catch Adam on his shoulders. James turns and plants Adam with the Mark of Ruin! James rolls over and hooks the leg.

3!

The bell sounds. James Evans rolls off. He slowly gets up. Heaven then motions. Aries and Creek enter the ring.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, James Evans!”

Sharper: “Evans managing to win as Evans caught Brock-“

Knots: “And Fall of Man is going to catch him with more.”

Sharper: “Brock calls them a bunch of bullies and they are and-“

Heavens then makes another motion as Creek and Aries then stomp away on Brock. Brock covers up as the crowd boos. The bell sounds again as Evans shoves Demitra down. The bell sound against as Brock covers up and we then see Clyde Sutter starting to walk out from the back. Heaven smiles as he sees this. Melinda Braddock is a few strides behind him.

Sharper: “Wait a minute. This may be what it’s all about. Heaven wanted Sutter for the TV Title shot, a mea culpa for Waylon’s attack. CHBK didn’t bite. And now Brock is down…”

Knots: “Don’t mess with the Fall of Man! Inevitability is coming!”

The crowd boos as Sutter reaches the ring as Heaven tells Creek and Aries to stop. Sutter pulls himself onto the apron. He then enters the ring. He then walks over to Brock. Brock, still fighting, slides to the ropes. Heaven then says something to Sutter as Sutter then steps up and stomps Brock in the back. He then pulls him up and hooks him on the ropes and nails him with a hard right and then another and another and another. The Fall of Man just watches as the crowd erupts as we see David Striker running out from the back. He then runs down to the ring and slides in. He gets up as Dumont, Irvine and Gibson stop part way. Striker however enters the ring.

Sharper: “Striker! David Striker!”

Knots: “He’s going to ruin their tag chances-“

Striker then runs over and just jumps up and nails Sutter with a crossbody, to the back of the head. Striker rides Sutter forward and they go up and over the top rope and crash on the floor. The crowd erupts in cheers. Heaven then looks at Sutter and Braddock. Braddock points to him. Heaven just points to Sutter and responds. The response angers Braddock who exits the ring. Striker turns and nails Sutter with a couple of blows. Dumont just smirks.

Sharper: “Striker attacking Sutter!”

Knots: “And he’s not part of Fall of Man! So he’s fair game!”

Sharper: “Helping Brock in the process and…here they are! Light in the Darkness. Light in the Darkness is coming out!”

Amelia Nevado and La Pequena Luz run down from the back. They stop at the Phantom Troupe. Dumont turns to them.

Dumont: “Kick their ass. We can’t. You can. Do it and we’ll give you the title defense you know you want to have with us!”

Dumont yells at Luz and Luz turns to Amelia. The two head to the ring. James and Giovanni step up and both club Amelia and Luz. Luz and Amelia manage to get up and throw a couple of shots of their own. Braddock pulls Striker off of Sutter. Striker gets up and turns to Melinda Braddock. He steps up and Sutter gets up and clubs him in the back. He then sends Striker into the barricade. Luz and Amelia keep fighting Aries and Evans as Heaven looks around. Creek remains in the ring watching now. We then see Ryan LeCavalier walking out from the back. Creek attention turns as LeCavalier walks forward. She smirks as Creek steps up. Heaven snaps at him and Creek stops and turns to Heaven. Aries sends Luz to the floor as he follows. This allows Luz to strike him with a few shots. Amelia gets a couple of European uppercuts on Evans. Evans drops to the floor before Amelia follows. But then, the crowd erupts as we see Xander Valentine running down from the back.

Sharper: “LeCavalier has Creek’s attention…and…wait…wait…the Champion! Xander! It’s Xander!”

Xander enters the ring.

Knots: “Turn around Creek. Focus on what Heaven wants you too. Not LeCavalier!”

Creek turns around as Xander enters the ring. Creek then lunges, but Xander drills him with a boot. Heaven exits the ring and backs up. He turns and sees Dumont and moves away from him and the other members of the Phantom Troupe. Creek starts to get up and Xander grabs him.

Sharper: “Chokeslam! Chokeslam!”

Knots: “No!”

Sharper: “We’re out of time on Breakdown. Retribution…March 16! Creek and Valentine!”

Valentine then lifts Creek up and chokeslams him. The crowd erupts as Xander looks around and then motions for the end. He grabs Creek but the scene slowly fades to black…
