“Supreme Championship Wrestling...”

A shot of Kelcey Wallace nailing Bree Lancaster with the Perfect Ending, followed by a shot of Steve Griffin hitting the Decimator off the top rope on CHBK at the first Rise to Greatness, before turning a shot of Jake Starr pumping up the crowd on his way to the ring, before turning into a shot of Ravyn Taylor sitting in the corner, waiting for the start of a match. We then see a shot of Katie Steward holding the Women’s Championship before cutting to a shot of Selena Frost hitting Vixen Cain with the Defying Gravity at Supreme Saturday: Just Desserts.

“The leading force in sports and entertainment today....”

MAIN SHOW:

“Psycho in my Head” by Skillet plays as we see a shot of Selena Frost standing on the stage, about to the run to the ring. We then see shots of Bree Lancaster hitting someone with the Rectifier and Simon Lyman posing with his arms out.

Maybe I'm just paranoid

Or maybe I'm just livin' a lie

Can't stop this screamin' voice

Or maybe I'm just sick inside

Shots of Kandis hitting Gratuitous on an opponent, before showing the Fall of Man standing tall. Katie Steward is next shown posing, before we see David Striker diving over the top rope and Josh Hudson standing on the stage, smiling. Shots of Chance Owens, Simon Lyman and the European Fiery Nation follow, superimposed over the Breakdown logo.

This is the face

I hate the other side of me

Out of this cage

He breaks to take the life from me

Tell me, tell me, tell me

I'm not crazy

Syren is shown hitting Xander Valentine with the Total Makeover before showing the Shinigami Foundation standing in the ring talking to the crowd. Glory Braddock is next shown hitting the London Plunge before we see The One Kirsten Scott proudly holding the SCW Television Championship. WASLEY is next shown as Kimberly Williams is seen smirking. The Breakdown logo flashes on the screen.

There's a psycho in my head

I'm closer to the edge

Makin' me feel like I'm livin' in misery, misery

Insane

These voices in my brain

Starting to feel like it's gonna be the death of me, death of me

Gavin Taylor hitting the Gavin Taylor Lariat on an opponent is next, before we see Magical Cosmic Princess YUYO making her entrance. Konrad Raab punching Ace Marshall in a steel cage is shown next, before we see Light in the Darkness hitting Wisteria Waltz against an opponent. Lexy Chapel is then shown showing off Syren. Amy Chastaine posing follows before we see James Evans powerbombing La Pequena Luz off the top rope.

There's a psycho in my, there's a psycho in my head

Shots of Deanna Frost, Ryan LeCavalier, Waylon Creek, Xander Valentine, and Syren are shown before the Breakdown logo comes up on the screen.

We then cut to a live shot of the inside of the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. The crowd cheers as pyro shoots out from the base of the stage. The display continues for a few moments before spotlights circle the arena, and the cameras pan across the crowd for a few moments.

Sharper: “After last week’s bombshell, Breakdown arrives in Texas for the fallout!”

The cameras continue to pan the crowd before we cut to the ring. Jason Phillips, the SCW ring announcer is heard.

Phillips: “Fans, please welcome at this time, the Chief Operating Officer of Supreme Championship Wrestling, the Canadian Heartbreak Kid, Alex Desoubrais!”

The crowd roars as “This is How a Heart Breaks” by Rob Thomas plays. A few moments pass as CHBK walks out from the back, dressed in a suit. He waves at the crowd as he then starts to walk down the rampway to the ring.

Sharper: “And we kick off by picking up where we left off. Xander Valentine cashed in his Trios Tournament contract to close Breakdown. We have more details-“

Knots: “Yeah, that Xander Valentine wants to be a martyr. He’s put himself in the snake pit. And he’s not going to get out.”

Sharper: “Xander Valentine, World title on the line, against Fall of Man – so that Giovanni Aries, Waylon Creek and James Evans and in the Thunderdome!”

Knots: “Wow…”

CHBK reaches the ring and walks up the steel steps. He steps into the ring and walks over to Jason Phillips. Phillips hands him the microphone. CHBK thanks him and turns to the middle of the ring.

CHBK: “How are we doing, Texas?”

The crowd roars as CHBK looks around.

CHBK: “Last week to close out Breakdown, Xander Valentine handed me his Trios Tournament contract and he named his match.”

CHBK pauses.

CHBK: “SCW’s website did a deeper dive, but I wanted to come out here to start Breakdown and make sure there was no doubt about what is going to take place at Taking Hold of the Flame.”

CHBK pauses briefly as the crowd roars.

CHBK: “Because at Taking Hold of the Flame, Xander Valentine, Giovanni Aries, Waylon Creek and James Evans will compete for the SCW World Championship…”

The crowd roars.

CHBK: “Inside the Thunderdome!”

The crowd erupts as CHBK looks around.

CHBK: “They will be locked inside and the only way you win is by pinfall or submission. Whoever wins will be the World Champion. Whoever does not will have a spot waiting for them in the Taking Hold of the Flame battle royal.”

Knots: “If they can even walk after!”

The crowd buzzes.

CHBK: “These are the stipulations; this is the match Xander Valentine wanted and the SCW Board of Directors has approved it, so this match will take place!”

The crowd roars as the cameras pan across the crowd.

CHBK: “And Xander, I hope this is really what you wanted, because-“

“I am Damnation” by Bleed from Within plays, interrupting CHBK. CHBK turns to the entrance way as William Heaven walks out from the back, joined by James Evans, holding the SCW World Championship, Giovanni Aries and Waylon Creek, both holding the World Tag Team Championships. Aries’s has no faceplates. They start to walk to the ring.

Sharper: “And here comes the Fall of Man. We’ve been waiting for their reaction-“

Knots: “What reaction? That they’re going to murder Xander Valentine and Xander set it up?!”

Sharper: “That may be one option. Xander Valentine to face all three in the Thunderdome.”

Knots: “More guts than brains. And given his history of concussions, maybe we’re seeing that factor into this. He wanted Syren to take him out two years ago, it didn’t happen and now he’s going to get Fall of Man to do it!”

The Fall of Man reaches the ring as William Heaven walks up the steel steps and into the ring. Giovanni rolls in. Creek follows Heaven as Evans pulls himself onto the apron. He then enters the ring and walks over to CHBK as Heaven goes to the corner to ask for a microphone. Evans then takes the microphone from CHBK, looking down at the SCW COO. Heaven is handed a microphone as he turns back to see Evans with CHBK’s.

Evans: “A cute idea. Guess Xander has completely lost it. Dominated at Rebirth. Stopped by Creek two weeks ago, and then actions of a desperate man bring him here. He’s never beaten me and he now wants all of us….in the Thunderdome…”

Evans smirks.

Evans: “We can remove one of the pillars of SCW for so long. He won’t be known as the Executioner any longer after we’re done. As we will be the ones serving that role at Taking Hold of the Flame.”

Heaven: “What James is saying is that Xander Valentine has elected to choose a suicide mission and he will go down in flames. And you’ll lose one person…maybe one of the only people who can actually stand up to us. Even if that moment was fleeting.”

Heaven looks at CHBK as James Evans looks at him too.

Evans: “Does Xander think he can split us up? That we are not a unit. Creek has proven himself even if he has a different method. And Giovanni will do anything to end this farce that Xander has developed.”

Heaven: “The Fall of Man is a unit, as James said. Is Xander even here? Or have you allowed him to arrive when he wishes? Maybe you feared that he would get involved and you don’t need another headache when you have Dumont and the Phantom Troupe being nuisances. Cute idea later putting Dumont against Creek. I hope your security is ready to do what is required by the law! I will be out there with Creek and Dumont better stay fifty feet away.”

CHBK just nods.

Heaven: “I know you’re hoping that this will all fall apart.”

Heaven smirks at CHBK.

Heaven: “We said that we were going to start the next phase and thanks to you and Xander, you’re allowing us to do it faster than we could hope. Are you prepared for Xander Valentine’s final moments in this wrestling ring? Three World Class Talents…three World Class Talents that never got their fair shot to be THE names in this sport. Not like Xander…not like you. And they will use that motivation. So thank you Xander. Thank you CHBK. Thank you SCW…”

Evans: “His blood will be on his hands! HIS hands!”

Evans laughs as he walks back and forth. Creek just watches Evans and Heaven as Aries leans in the corner, chuckling to himself.

Heaven: “And then what? Who do you have next to stop this? Even Xander knows there isn’t anyone. Light in the Darkness. Nope. Selena Frost? Evans will break her in half? People are even bailing on the Taking Hold of the Flame…And even with two members of the Fall of Man in it…don’t worry about the competition amongst us. We know what we have in mind there. But some are even dropping out. Like Glory…no longer number 1. She knows there’s no point.”

Heaven then gets up in CHBK’s face.

Heaven: “We said we would be in control. And you gave us the keys and the car now. And come Taking Hold of the Flame, nothing can stop us. And we can mete out what everyone deserves. From the Past to the Present…and to the Future…”

Heaven glances at Creek.

Heaven: “Master of Mind Games…please….”

Heaven looks at CHBK and backs up.

Heaven: “Dumont will be just the next to fall tonight. Then Xander…and then SCW as there will be three stars, three pillars, three people who represent the golden standard in this sport…”

Heaven backs up. Evans extends his arms.

Heaven: “These three…”

Evans: “Xander! I hope you’re ready to accept what you did to yourself. It will ALL be over soon!”

Evans backs up as “I am Damnation” starts to play again. Heaven looks at CHBK before turning to Aries and then to Creek and nodding. Evans steps through the ropes to the floor. CHBK watches as Aries then spins through to the apron and hops down. Heaven leaves the ring before Creek then steps through and calmly exits last.

Sharper: “The Fall of Man almost taunting CHBK-“

Knots: “Almost?!”

Sharper: “Fine – taunting CHBK. They’re thrilled that they’re facing Xander Valentine. They see this as him imploding.”

Knots: “Isn’t he?”

Sharper: “I hope not. But Xander Valentine last week…he called out Light in the Darkness…and then he pulls this. He’ll be locked in there with them. I just hope he has a plan!”

CHBK watches as Heaven turns and walks to the back with Evans, Aries, and Creek. The scene then switches to ringside where Adam Sharper and Jonathan Knots sit at the announce position.

Sharper: “Welcome to ringside. Adam Sharper here with Jonathan Knots. And we’ve got the Fall of Man’s response, but we expect to hear from Xander Valentine. From others too.”

Knots: “You noticed how they called out CHBK though there too. Is Xander here?”

Sharper: “I assume not as we would have heard from him here, but that’s not all. Some big action tonight too. Waylon Creek will be in action against Chris Dumont.”

Knots: “And Heaven will be at ringside. How can Dumont even compete?! He’s not going to stop managing Creek. He comes to the ring, he breaks the restraining order!”

Sharper: “We will also see The Connection in action, facing Hollywood, and Kimberly Williams will be in action.”

Knots: “Finally we’ll see her for the first time since Rebirth. What’s she gonna be like?”

Sharper: “Meanwhile, we were wondering about some of the reaction to Xander Valentine’s Trios Tournament cash-in and Jaina Lancaster is standing by with Dante Slayton.””

The scene opens up at the SCW interview area as we see Jaina Lancaster standing next to Dante Slayton, Wil Pierce and Alex Belmont.

Jaina: “Thank you Adam.’

Dante starts to shake his head.

Jaina: “Dante Slayton is among those that now has Fall of Man in their sights. James Evans even thanked Dante for helping soften Xander up before Rebirth and that’s bothered you.”

Dante: “Like hell I’m helping those assholes.”

Jaina: “But now Xander has stepped in and cashed in his contract. You had stated you were going to challenge James and…”

Dante: “I know I’m not the only man targeting James Evans or the SCW World Champion. That’s what this sport is about. But if Xander wants to go out there and just get his ass-kicked, I regret giving him the respect I did. The fact is that he’s set himself up to get rocked. And all we’re going to hear from James, from Heaven, from others, is their own arrogance on overload. Congratulations, Xander. We’re all going to have to hear them keep with their cryptic threats and overconfidence.”

Slayton scoffs.

Slayton: “For the first time in my career I may actually regret giving you a proper fight Xander. It seems like you cracked. Well…either way, my attention turns to the Taking Hold of the Flame and yeah, I’ll have to go through thirty-nine others. But I plan to stand tall at the end and punch my ticket to Rise to Greatness and I’ll be waiting for whoever survives as World Champion in the Fall of Man. And Xander…if somehow you survive, I’ll make sure that the least you’re worried about is your arm. Big if though.”

Jaina: “Thanks for your time. Breakdown returns after this.”

Slayton motions to Belmont and Pierce as they head off as Breakdown slowly cuts to commercial.

COMMERCIALS

The screen cuts to somewhere backstage at the Moody Center where we find the “Ronin” himself, Chris Dumont, standing in the semi-darkness of the room and looking very disgusted with his hands on his hips, and once he notices the camera, he shakes his head while looking very disappointed.

Dumont: “Waylon…right here in Austin, this will not be a wrestling match. And hearing Heaven out there, you’re all treating everything like its some kind of joke, swinging that SCW tag strap around like it’s some kind of extension of your own failed and unremarkable manhood, Waylon. No, tonight is going to end in one of over a hundred vastly pain filled ways with it being my ramming the shattered and splintered edge of a kendo stick into your eyes repeatedly until I make you being able to see your reality by rupturing your blind eyes or I will choke you out with the very video cables that allow you to present your lies to the world, I have hundreds if not thousands of options out there and you…you simply believe that you’re better than me because of my own foolishness.”

Chris takes a step back and runs his right hand through his hair before shaking his head.

Dumont: “In the end it doesn’t matter how this match will end because you’re too stupid to see anything past your own nose, ring rat. You keep looking at this in wins and losses but you neglect to see the reason *why* David and I keep on fighting despite everything and the sad thing is that it’s not just you that doesn’t get the reason, Waylon….It’s everybody else on this company’s roster.”

He briefly pauses.

Dumont: “I mean seriously is it really just David and I that see that right now we’re in a war for the very heart and soul of SCW. I mean honestly I have never so many people focusing more on their own bloody egos than standing up to fight for what is fucking right of this company. Xander is going into war by himself and he’s going to get destroyed because he never actually realized that it’s not about him!”

“I mean seriously, let’s use Kimberly Williams for an example shall we?? While you are getting off on your obsession with my friend David’s hopefully better half, why aren’t you helping to stand the line in this fight against Heaven, huh? If you want to be the oh so fucking great “Queen of SCW’s Underground division,” then why aren’t you helping us to shore up the line then and using that twisted genius for something other than pissing off Colleen??...Or are you too busy with your own ego.”

Dumont sighs.

Dumont: “But you see, Waylon, this is why I’m coming after Billy Heaven Senior and it’s something that my own father taught me about being in a situation like this and that is if you can cut the head off of the snake then the whole war is over… and no matter how much legal BS he puts in front of me, I am still going to kick his God damned head off and there’s not a damned thing that you can do to stop me!!”

Chris then reaches out of the camera’s view and then holds up a very large bit of pipe, which causes him to smile before his eyes slide to the left and take in the camera before adding:

Dumont: “See you at ringside, Waylon. Get ready to be made my bitch.”

The camera then cuts back to ringside.

Oskar Theron vs. Kimberly Williams

The lights go out, except for a single spotlight at the top of the stage. The opening chords to “Patient Number 9” by Ozzy Osbourne begins to play.  A haunting voice is heard…

"Is there a way out of here?"
"Hey, how long you been here?"
"I wanna go home"
"Hey, hahaha"
"Hahaha"
"Excuse me, could you tell how to get out of here?"
"Hahaha"
"I want to go home"
"Hahaha"
"Mommy, mommy"

The song begins to rage full bore now.  Suddenly the lights come back on and Kimberly Williams is standing at the top of the stage to a loud, mostly positive, reaction from the fans.  A sinister smirk is on her face as she ponders what she is about to do tonight.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a fifteen minute time limit. First, on her way to the ring, from Boston, Massachusetts, she is the Wild Card, Kimberly Williams!”

She winks at the fans before pointing towards the ring and making a beeline towards it.  She slides into the ring underneath the bottom rope.  Kimberly then poses in the center of the ring to another loud reaction from the fans.  The music slowly dies down and Kimberly goes to a corner to await the start of the match.

Sharper: “Kimberly Williams appearing here on Breakdown for the first time since losing that war against Colleen MacDonald.”

Knots: “And just coming out like nothing’s wrong. Peak Kim here.”

Sharper: “You wonder if it is affecting her. You wonder also if Colleen MacDonald will have something to say to her. Colleen did not like that Kim did not come out and return the respect Colleen offered her.”

“Ride The Lightning” by Metallica plays over the sound system as Oskar walks through the curtain, holding up his Norwegian flag, wearing Norway flame lightning bolt flag trousers with The European Fiery Nation logo attached to his trousers, wearing MMA gloves and wrestling boots with Ginny Raab behind him. He gets many boos as he walks to the ring, ignoring the fans. He stands on the ramp, using the lightning bolt signals.

Phillips: “Her opponent, from Oslo, Norway, accompanied by Ginny Raab, he is Oskar Theron!”

He walks to the ring before sliding under the ropes before holding them open for Ginny to get in, and he goes on the turnbuckle to do his lightning bolt sign, with Ginny applauding Oskar before he puts himself in a corner. He holds the ropes open again for Ginny to leave the ring before turning to the opposite end of the corner of looking at his opponent, waiting for the match to begin.

Sharper: “And Oskar Theron about to be in action against Kimberly Williams. Kim facing this member of the EFN for the first time.”

Knots: “Think he’ll want to turn it into an Underground rules match?”

Sharper: “I don’t know if you want to target Kim that way tonight. I don’t care who you are.”

The bell sounds. Oskar looks at Kim as Kim looks at him and nods before walking out. Oskar then starts to move towards Kim and then lunges at her, going for a huge clothesline. Kim ducks and then spins around and grabs his arm and wrenches it. Oskar reaches around and rolls forward and nips up and Kim pulls him down by the hair. The crowd cheers a bit. Kim smirks. Oskar nips up again and Kim pulls him down by the hair again. The official, Steve Hollinsworth warns her. Kim nods and Oskar nips up again and the Kim lets go and hits a sweep kick. Oskar Theron hits the mat. Kim goes for the pin.

Oskar kicks out. He then rolls to the ropes. He starts to get up and runs at her and swings, but Kim ducks and then hits a dropkick. Oskar rolls over to the ropes.

Sharper: “Well if Kim is pissed off, she’s not showing it. She’s having some fun at Oskar’s expense.”

Knots: “She’s never been normal in her reactions. So maybe this is her way of dealing with it.”

Oskar Theron gets up and Kim runs over and forearms him in the jaw once and then again and again before grabbing him and going to whip him across the ring. Oskar, however, spins through and sends Kim in. Oskar runs after and Kim jumps up and flips down Oskar’s back into a sunset flip.

Oskar kicks out. Both get up and Kim goes for a clothesline, but Oskar runs past her and jumps to the middle rope and dives back with a springboard European uppercut. The crowd ohs as Kim rolls over. She holds her face and starts to get up and Oskar runs over to her and forearms her in the jaw and then nails her with a hard right and then another and another, attacking her in the corner. Oskar then his a European uppercut before following up with more.

Oskar is backed up and looks at Kim and smirks as Kim falls to a knee. She then starts to get up and Oskar grabs him and whips her into the ropes. She bounces off and Kim then runs at Oskar, only for Oskar to grab her by the head and throw her over the top rope and Kim lands on her feet and rolls through. She starts to get up and Oskar Theron runs across the ring, bouncing off and then diving over the top rope with a suicide dive onto the Wild Card!

Sharper: “My God! Oskar Theron over the top! He just left his feet, cleared the top rope, and right onto Kimberly Williams!”

Knots: “Kim just had a two hundred pound man land on her.”

Oskar rolls over. (1) He starts to get up as Kim winces and turns. (2) Oskar gets up and grabs Kim and drags her up. He then turns and rolls her into the ring. (3) Oskar rolls in after and Kim starts to try and get up, but Oskar jumps up and hits a jumping reverse bulldog, forcing her back down. He pins her.

Kim kicks out. Oskar rolls off as Kim rolls over and moves to the ropes. Oskar then runs at her and clotheslines her up and over the top rope, but she hangs up and remains on the apron. Oskar then turns and runs to the corner. He jumps to the middle turnbuckle and goes for a spinning heel kick. Kim ducks. Oskar hits the mat and starts to get up only for Kim to grab the top rope and hit a slingshot DDT.

Sharper: “Kim! Showing her agility. Slingshotting back in and grabbing Oskar Theron by the head.”

Knots: “And spiked him. Just spiked him.”

Kim gets up as Oskar rolls over. He slowly gets up and Kim grabs him and hits a Russian leg sweep. She rolls through into a pin.

2!

Oskar kicks out. He turns and Kim grabs her by the head and arm and then drags him up and hits a snapmare. Oskar sits up and Kim locks in a buffalo sleeper hold!

Sharper: “And Kim takes Oskar Theron down before locking in that sleeper hold.”

Knots: “And Oskar. Remember. Kim can grapple with the best of them!”

Sharper: “Well he need to act quick as she’s squeezing the life out of him.”

Theron struggles as Kim pulls back and tries to slowly choke him out. Oskar grabs her hands and tries to pry them before Kim pulls back and then Oskar plants his feet and tries to pull himself up only to hit a jawjacker. Kim staggers back and falls to a knee. She starts to get up and Oskar gets up and hits a dropsault. He then turns and crawls to the corner. The crowd boos as Oskar gets to the top rope. He looks at Kim and then he jumps up high in the air and hits a huge senton splash. The crowd ohs. He turns and hooks the leg.

1!

2!

Kim gets her shoulder up. Oskar looks up and rolls away. He looks around as Kim starts to shake her finger, the crowd cheering for her eccentricities. She then starts to pull herself up and Oskar heads over and grabs her and hits a release German suplex. Oskar Theron then smiles before climbing up to the top rope. He stands on the top rope and glances back and goes for a moonsault, but Kim rolls out of the way. Oskar lands on his feet and steps back. He then turns and runs at Kim, but Kim throws Oskar into the middle turnbuckle, face first. He pops up and turns around and walks into the Morrigan’s Wrath. Oskar falls back and into the ropes. The weight causes the ropes to bend back and Oskar to get caught in the ropes!

Knots: “Hey! Get him out! Stop the match!”

Sharper: “Theron caught in the ropes. The weight caused him to bend them back. And look at the look on the face of Kim.”

Kim smiles as she walks over and then waves in front of his face. Hollinsworth tries to get her back, but Kim just smiles before chopping Theron hard in the chest. The crowd woos. Theron tries to get free and Kim runs over and kicks her in the ribs before then exiting to the apron. She then jumps up and wraps her legs around the head of Theron and locks in a figure four sleeper on the ropes!

Kim lets go and smiles before then grabbing Oskar by the head and hair and pulling him. This causes him to bend backwards, getting a bit free before Kim pulls him over and dumps him to the floor. Oskar rolls over in a heap. (1)

Sharper: “And Kim dumps Oskar to the floor! She did get him free!”

Knots: “After assaulting him!”

Kim then leans back against the ringpost as Oskar starts to get up and Kim runs after and hits a somersault dive onto Oskar. The crowd roars. (1) Kim slowly gets up and turns and grabs Oskar. (2) She drags him up and then shrugs before rolling him into the ring. (3) Kim slides in after. She then gets up and Oskar runs past her, jumping to the middle rope and going for the Diamond Bolt Cutter. He then rolls her over and hooks the leg.

1!

2!

Kim gets her shoulder up. Oskar rolls over and looks around. He smacks the mat in anger before getting up and then grabbing Kim. He scoops her up and slams her down. He then turns and goes for a springboard moonsault, but Kim gets her knees up. Oskar pops back and rolls over. Kim starts to get up and then hits pele kick. Oskar falls back to the mat.

Sharper: “Kim with the pele! Oskar didn’t even see it coming!”

Knots: “He sure felt it!”

Oskar Theron slowly turns as Kim then turns and grabs his legs. She then hoists them up and turns and locks in the Angel’s Arch! The crowd roars some more as Kim leans back. Oskar reaches around, trying to reach for the ropes, or Kim’s legs. Kim however has Oskar in the middle of the ring. He keeps reaching around as Kim keeps leaning back before we then see Oskar Theron tap hesitantly. The crowd roars as the bell sounds. Kim lets go of Oskar, dumping him to the mat. Kim then steps forward and to the ropes.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via submission, Kimberly Williams!”

Sharper: “And Kimberly Williams rebounds with a huge win here on Breakdown.”

Knots: “And using her mother’s hold. Anything to read into that?”

Sharper: “I don’t know, but Oskar Theron held on for as long as he could, but there was nowhere for him to go and Kim gets the submission!”

Kimberly walks along the ropes and then moves to the corner, raising her arm. She then looks around as Oskar rolls over, holding his lower back. Kim just shrugs before exiting the ring. She then starts to play to the crowd as the scene cuts away.

Dexter Grant talks with Wendall backstage in one of the locker rooms.

Wendell: “So are we just going to sit here and wait…”

Grant: “I’m going to keep this simple. I said I didn’t want anything funny. I didn’t want parlour tricks. I didn’t want buzz. And I also don’t need a social maladjusted person glaring at me from the stands.”

Wendell: “Did he get to you?”

Grant looks at Wendell and sighs.

Grant: “He didn’t get to anything. Just I’m not going to give fodder to SCW as they ramp up their promotional materials going into what they love to claim is Rise to Greatness season. It’s so big, so awesome…so nauseating. Veil has me at Taking Hold of the Flame. We will meet. We will compete and then I will turn my attention to the Taking Hold of the Flame battle royal because the World Championship offers a massive opportunity for my campaign. Simple as that.”

At this point, Chris Lawler, who seemingly is sharing the locker room with Grant and others, passes by. He stops.

Lawler: “Dexter?”

Grant: “Yes? What do you want?”

Lawler: “I would suggest you focus on Veil. I may have beaten him, but I still feel everything he did to me. And I never felt I had that match in control. And he put Kirsten Scott on the shelf. Someone who nearly beat you.”

Grant: “And yet, close doesn’t count. Thank you for your insert, and insight, Chris. Focus on your own title defense tonight.”

Lawler: “Just trying to help out.”

Lawler walks off as Grant looks up at him. Wendell turns to Grant.

Wendell: “He may have had a point-“

Grant: “I know, Wendell.”

Grant looks forward as the scene cuts away.

COMMERCIALS

Backstage, we hear shouting as we see an official running down the hallway as the cameraman tries to run after. We then turn to see Hiro Tanaka standing outside of the Fall of Man locker room as Xander Valentine takes an aluminum baseball bat and slams it into the door of one of the locker rooms. He strikes it once and then again and again, bashing through the door before reaching in and opening the door.

Sharper: “Welcome back to Breakdown. Xander Valentine is trying to get into that locker room-“

Knots; “That’s the Fall of Man’s!”

Xander then storms into the room and Giovanni Aries happens to be closest and turns and Xander nails him in the ribs with the bat before turning and nailing Aries in the back of the leg. Giovanni goes down as Xander steps up and Waylon Creek grabs the bat, trying to block it as Xander locks eyes with him. He then looks at James.

Xander: “Let me go! Come on! We can give you a preview now! Still thinking I’m a martyr! I’m taking you all to hell with me!”

We hear more yelling as Hiro Tanaka manages to push through, not needing to worry about a baseball bat being swung his way. Other officials get in as Xander looks at James Evans who just looks at Xander and smirks. Heaven stands with him as Creek lets go and pushes Xander back. Officials pulls him out as Xander keeps trying to swing at Creek. Aries remains on the ground, writhing in pain, holding his leg and ribs as Creek turns and leans to him as Xander is pulled out of the room.

Sal Darius vs. “The Monster Machine” Enigma

'California love' by 2Pac Shakur hits the arena and Sal comes out wearing his world's famous blublockers. 'The Sex Vibe' comes out with all the hype and toughness.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, from Venice, California, he is The Sex Vibe… Sal Darius!”

He walks a little and then takes a sprint to the ring. After sliding in the ring underneath the bottom rope, he climbs the turnbuckle and points to his crouch. Then 'The King of the world of Hearts' throws his blublocker aviators in the crowd and jumps back performing boxing shadow in the ring warming up for his bout.

Sharper: “Sal Darius returning to SCW recently, and so far he’s seen mixed success. A win tonight, however, could really be quite the boost heading into Taking Hold of the Flame.”

Knots: “He beat Crystal Zdunich two weeks ago but fell short against Gavin Taylor last week. Tonight, however, he’s got a whole new beast to deal with.”

"Scum Of The Earth" by Rob Zombie hits as “The Monster Machine” Enigma slowly steps out onto the stage, making his way down to the ring with little fanfare, just focus.

Phillips: “His opponent, currently residing in Rock Hill, New York, he is The Monster Machine… Enigma!”

Enigma reaches ringside, staring a hole through Sal Darius who keeps warming up in his corner. Enigma slowly marches up the steel steps before stepping into the ring, waiting for the bell.

Sharper: “On the flip side is this man, ‘The Monster Machine’ Enigma, not to be confused with the man now known as Veil. This monster has been tearing through everybody in his path thus far since arriving on the scene in SCW.”

Knots: “He’s mean, he’s powerful, he’s got a crap ton of experience to his name. We could be looking at an early favorite for the Taking Hold of the Flame battle royal if he chooses to try his hand in it!”

Referee Steve Hollinsworth signals for the bell, and as soon as the match begins, Darius charges across the ring and begins laying into Enigma with punches, trying to overwhelm the larger man early. Enigma, however, shoves Darius away with enough force that he falls to the mat, only to roll through and rush in again. Before he can throw a strike this time, however, Enigma grabs him around the throat with both hands before throwing him into the corner, Sal practically bouncing off the turnbuckles. Enigma goes for a clubbing blow, but Darius manages to duck it and trap Enigma in the corner now before teeing off on him with jabs before finishing with a stiff uppercut! A few fans react audibly to the strike as it echoes throughout the Moody Center, but Enigma just glares at Sal before exploding out of the corner with a nasty lariat!

Sharper: “Sal with the aggressive start, trying to keep Enigma off balance, but The Monster Machine just shrugging it off!”

Knots: “He’s a beast of a man with a ridiculous amount of experience under his belt. Sal’s going to have to go back to the drawing board already!”

Darius uses the corner to help pull himself back to his feet, but once he turns around, Enigma slams into his midsection with a big shoulder thrust! Sal coughs and gasps for air as Enigma delivers a second shoulder thrust, followed by a third. Darius drops to a seated position and Enigma proceeds to start stomping away at him. Steve Hollinsworth starts counting, getting to four before Enigma turns and starts stalking after him, causing the referee to back off with his arms raised, warning Enigma that he’s just doing his job. Enigma huffs before turning back to Darius, hauling him to his feet, only for Sal to deliver a big California Slap right across the face! The fans audibly react as Enigma just looks even more angry now, hooking Sal before throwing him out of the corner and across the ring with a huge exploder suplex!

Sharper: “I don’t know how wise that was of Sal Darius, because he’s only made Enigma even angrier now.”

Knots: “Sometimes you just have to throw everything you’ve got, even if that includes smacking a guy across the face!”

Darius slowly pulls himself back to his feet, trying to get his bearings, as Enigma watches him before running off the ropes and runni8ng over him with a big body block! He drops down and goes for a lateral press.

Sal Darius kicks out! Enigma just looks down at him and shakes his head before dragging him over to the nearest corner. Once he’s got Sal positioned, he steps over him and climbs to the second rope, bouncing to gain some momentum before he attempts a corner slingshot splash, but Darius gets a boot up and catches him in the face on the way down! Enigma lands on his feet and stumbles back as Darius uses the ropes to pull himself up to his feet before throwing a dropkick that hits on the button! Enigma staggers back as Darius measures him before connecting with another dropkick, staggering Enigma back against the ropes. He rebounds and spins into a discus elbow, but Darius ducks it and catches him on the jaw with a beautiful roundhouse kick! Enigma drops to a knee, and Darius shoves him to the mat before going for a cover.

1!

Enigma kicks out! Darius looks to Steve Hollinsworth in disbelief before he starts frantically stomping away on Enigma.

Sharper: “Sal finally finding an opening, but Enigma is just absorbing everything he’s throwing at him and shrugging it off!”

Knots: “Sal’s never been one to back down from a fight, but it looks like he’s going to need a bigger shot to keep Enigma down!”

Darius backs off, allowing Enigma to start to rise before he runs off the ropes and catches him with a bicycle kick to the face! This knocks Enigma back to the mat, and Darius quickly runs off the adjacent ropes and springboards off into the Sex Curse! He remains on top of him for the cover, hooking the leg.

2!

Enigma kicks out! Sal looks a bit frustrated as Enigma starts trying to get to his feet again. He runs off the ropes once more, but whatever he had in mind this time is cut off as Enigma intercepts him with a big samoan drop! Enigma gets back to his feet, looking irritated as he motions for Darius to get back up. Sal manages to pull himself up into a seated position before Enigma bounces off the ropes and drills him with a big soccer kick right across the chest! He goes for the lateral press.

2!

Sal Darius kicks out!

Sharper: “Enigma coming back strong just as Sal was starting to build momentum, but once again he doesn’t hook the leg on the pin.”

Knots: “He’s got too much experience to be making such a rookie mistake… maybe it’s his way of trying to show Sal how little he thinks of him?”

Darius slowly gets back to his feet, clutching at his chest as Enigma closes the distance, drilling him with a european uppercut that knocks him back against the ropes. He irish whips Darius, looking to catch him with the Equalizer on the rebound, but Darius not only ducks it, he connects with a basement dropkick to Enigma’s plant leg to take him off his feet! Enigma ends up on his hands and knees, and Sal wastes no time in running off the adjacent ropes before connecting with the Darius Stomp! He rolls Enigma over and makes the cover, getting a deep hook on the leg.

2!

Enigma kicks out! Darius looks at referee Steve Hollinsworth, demanding that he should’ve counted faster, but Hollinsworth holds his ground on the fair two count. Sal runs a hand through his hair in frustration as he sees Enigma starting to get back up, so he immediately moves in and applies Sal’s Paradise! The fans are buzzing as Steve Hollinsworth moves in to check with Enigma on whether or not he submits as Sal squeezes as hard as he can with his legs, trying to choke the life out of Enigma. Enigma, however, slowly manages to get back to his feet despite the submission, and Darius adjusts his grip as he does whatever he can to apply even more pressure. Unfortunately, Enigma reaches down and gets a hand around Sal’s throat, followed by a second hand, Sal’s eyes going wide in shock as Enigma lifts him off the mat despite still being trapped in Sal’s Paradise, marching him to the center of the ring before breaking free of the submission as he plants Darius with the Questions & Answers! Enigma makes the cover, this time hooking the leg.

The bell rings as "Scum Of The Earth" by Rob Zombie hits again. Enigma rises and Steve Hollinsworth raises his arm in victory, but it’s not long before he pulls it away.

Phillips: “Here is your winner… “The Monster Machine” Enigma!”

Sharper: “Enigma racking up another win as he continues to show why he could be a force to be reckoned with here in SCW!”

Knots: “Sal put up a hell of a fight, that’s for sure, but Enigma just too powerful and too experienced to fall here tonight!”

Enigma climbs out of the ring and starts marching to the back, feeling no need to linger with his job complete. Steve Hollinsworth checks on Sal, who is coming to and trying to catch his breath.

Breakdown opens up in the backstage area as we see Billy Heaven Jr., still wearing a neck brace, walking through catering. He then walks over to one crew member, wrapping his arm around her before she pulls away and Billy Jr. shrugs.

Billy Jr.: “Whoa! It was gonna be ya lucky day. There’s a nice club downtown. Like only one in Austin. Won’t have that country crap. We can get our groove on and you can produce with that bakery there and-“

The crew member walks off, joined by another one. Billy just waves them off before we see Ravyn Taylor walking up behind him. She then looks down for a moment before then walking over past him. Billy notices her as Ravyn then drops her phone. She then leans forward, clearly bending over in front of him. Billy clearly checks her out as Ravyn then stands up and turns, showing her phone, which also gets Billy’s attention.

Billy: “Hot damn! Now that’s what I’m talking about! Ya boy here has some good taste if you’re anything to judge by?”

Ravyn: “Excuse me?”

Billy: “Ya phone. Big Syren fan. Gotta say. She bangin’!”

Ravyn: “Oh, Syren…well of course I would have her on my phone. She’s my wife.”

Billy: “Yo, seriously. So you’ve been gettin’ that cake. Didn’t realize she went that way. Just saw the videos people were doin’ and I’m a bit of an artiste, ya know. Club demand my work to make them bussin’ and well….I gave it my try. Still hopin’ she’ll reach out, but now I know why.”

Ravyn: “Well, don’t worry…she’s bi…and we have invited….no, that’s a bit too forward. Forget I said anything.”

Ravyn goes to walk off, but Billy steps in front of her.

Billy: “Whoa! No…relax. No need to get red. More girl should be forward. If ya want a hell of a night, I-“

Ravyn: “Well…she’s focused on Taking Hold of the Flame. She could use a distraction…perhaps I can make an arrangement.”

Billy: “Look, let me give you my numbers and you just say the world and a fun night aways. I’ll make sure she is thinking about nothing else but gettin’ lost in the sauce!”

Billy pulls out his phone and hands it to Ravyn. Ravyn smiles as she then quickly takes it and puts in her number. Billy starts to turn away, nodding, and even doing a bit of a motion of presumably “hitting it” doggy style. Ravyn does a few more things on his phone before then handing it back to him.

Ravyn: “I’ll text you later where to meet if she’s in. Looking forward to it.”

Ravyn smiles as she then turns and walks off as Billy then nods and smiles.

Billy: “Hell yeah. We’ll be ballin’ VIP style all night!”

The scene cuts away.

Amelia Nevado vs. Ryan LeCavalier

“Victorious” by Skillet begins playing as the lights dim a bit. Slowly, Amelia Nevado makes her way onto the stage, putting herself front and center as she folds her hands in front of her, looking like a proper young lady as she looks somewhat solemnly down towards the ring. After a moment of this, La Pequeńa Luz skips out from behind Amelia and stands beside her, giving her a pep talk before planting a quick kiss on her cheek which brings a smile to Amelia’s face. The two proceed to lock hands before heading down to the ring, Amelia’s look growing more determined and battle-ready as Luz continues her pep talk.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for one fall! Introducing first, being accompanied to the ring by La Pequeńa Luz, from Oxford, England… Amelia Nevado!”

Once they reach ringside, Amelia pulls Luz into a brief but passionate kiss before letting her go as she climbs the ring steps onto the apron, wiping her feet before stepping through the ropes. As the song goes into the chorus, Amelia gives a victorious fist pump to the delight of the fans as she takes a moment to soak in the lyrics before removing her robe and mask and handing them off to Luz on the outside, Luz taking the opportunity to give some last minute advice and encouragement.

Sharper: “Amelia Nevado did not wrestle in her home country of England last week, but she had a lot to say about her and Luz’s loss in their rematch for the World Tag Team Titles from two weeks ago.”

Knots: “So did Xander Valentine when he flat out told her, to her face, that SCW needs hatchet men instead of heroes!”

Sharper: “You have to wonder if Xander’s words will bother Amelia any, especially after what Xander opted to do with his Trios contract for Taking Hold of the Flame. Amelia the last member of that team with an unused contract now, but we can confirm that her and Luz’s plans for Taking Hold of the Flame are going to involve participating in the battle royal.”

Knots: “Amelia could be a sleeper pick that could shock the world and not even need her Trios contract for it… as long as she’d be alright with dumping her own wife out of the match if need be!”

The arena is quiet, with a palpable sense of expectancy in the air as the lights go off. An ethereal blue glow is projected onto the entry ramp by a lone floodlight that breaks through the darkness. The crowd trembles with eagerness as L'Impératrice's "A View to a Kill" pulsates synthesizers burst the stillness.

A silhouette appears out of the darkness, clad in a shimmering silver cloak that seems to both reflect and absorb the light. The coat flutters about her as she moves, giving her enticing peeks of the wrestling gear in silver and black underneath. Her face is hidden behind a mask of steely resolve, framed by the hood.

Phillips: “Her opponent, currently residing in Miami, Florida, she is The Lost Monarch… Ryan LeCavalier!”

The moment Ryan LeCavalier, as "The Lost Monarch," removes her hood and shows off her icy-focused eyes, the audience screams. At the top of the ramp, she stops and looks out over the crowd like a queen assessing her subjects. She steps down into the ring and gracefully makes her way to the turnbuckle, removing her cloak like a snake might remove its skin. With her eyes fixed on her opponent, she slides into her mouthguard, completing her transformation. The arena is bustling with the unsaid promise of a great battle to come, and the air is crackling with suspense at the two highly-touted grapplers about to lock up.

Sharper: “Speaking of sleeper picks for the battle royal, Ryan LeCavalier has not been shy in claiming she’s going to win it and go on to main event Rise to Greatness, especially if it means overcoming the likes of Selena Frost in the process.”

Knots: “She still hasn’t forgotten how close she came to beating Selena in an Ironwoman Match back during Fatal Fortunes, and Selena and Amelia could have been considered friends once upon a time. She’s also continued trying to haunt the thoughts of Waylon Creek, someone else Amelia has quite a bit of history with now!”

Sharper: “Both of these women will be looking to try and earn a World Title opportunity come Taking Hold of the Flame, but tonight, it’s all about seeing two top-tier technicians battle it out to see who wants it more!”

Senior referee Aaron Demitra signals for the bell as Amelia and Ryan slowly approach each other, taking low stances as they shuffle back and forth, reaching out to begin grappling only for the other to pull away as they each try to find an opening to get the early advantage. As they briefly lock hands again, Ryan tries to strike first with a single leg takedown, but Amelia stuffs it and Ryan quickly backs off before Amelia can do anything with it. They dance around each other once more, Ryan trying to keep the lower base as Amelia shakes her wrists to keep herself loose. They briefly lock hands again and this time Amelia is the one who shoots in for the single leg takedown, but Ryan stuffs it this time. Ryan tries to grab for an armbar, but Amelia is quick to slip free before grabbing a side headlock, but Ryan manages to spin free and apply a side headlock of her own before spinning again into a drop toe hold. Amelia rolls away before Ryan can take advantage, but as she slowly rises, Ryan smirks and holds up a ‘one’ to indicate to Amelia she’s scored the first proper takedown.

Sharper: “Ryan scoring the first takedown of this match but Amelia doing a great job of making sure nothing more comes of it.”

Knots: “Both of these ladies are very technically gifted, but Ryan’s got a huge experience advantage over Amelia and that could be the difference maker the longer this match goes on.”

Amelia nods to herself as she gets back to her feet, hearing Luz cheering her on from the floor. The two women circle one another once again, shuffling around and briefly locking hands before slipping away as they each look for an opening. Ryan suddenly lunges in for another takedown, trying to catch Amelia off guard, but Amelia once again stuffs it and tries to tie her up in a grounded abdominal stretch. Ryan grabs Amelia’s wrist to keep her from getting the hold fully applied before she twists out of it and tries to reverse into an abdominal stretch of her own as she gets back to her feet, but this time it’s Amelia who grabs her wrist to prevent the full application of the hold. She manages to twist out and once again tries to apply the abdominal stretch, but Ryan blocks it again, only for Amelia to slide her leg between Ryan’s and trip her up into a roll-up!

Ryan kicks out right as Aaron Demitra’s hand hits the mat for two. Both women lock eyes as Amelia holds up a ‘one’ of her own now, the fans applauding the technical showcase they’re witnessing thus far as Ryan nods but scowls at Amelia.

Sharper: “Amelia now getting the first pinfall attempt of this match, and the look on Ryan’s face says it all.”

Knots: “She knows she can hang with the best SCW has to offer, it’s why she called her shot for Taking Hold of the Flame, but Amelia’s done the same and she’s making it clear she’s not going to back down! Not from Xander, not from Ryan, not from anybody!”

Ryan and Amelia both rise to their feet again as they circle one another. They reach in to initiate a grapple, but Ryan pulls back and catches Amelia in the side of the body with a kick! Amelia winces as Ryan throws another kick to the side that catches her. She grabs Amelia’s arm and tries to pull her into a short-arm clothesline, but Amelia uses the momentum to clock Ryan with a hard european uppercut! The fans roar as Amelia hits another european uppercut that backs Ryan against the ropes before she tries to pull Ryan to the mat by her arm, potentially looking for an armbar of some sort, but Ryan hooks her arm around the top rope to block it before dropping after Amelia and locking in a fujiwara armbar! She cranks back on it, trying to wrench Amelia’s arm out of socket as Aaron Demitra moves in to see if Amelia wants to submit, but she refuses. Ryan releases the hold just enough to try to flip into a bridging version of it, but Amelia rolls with her and trips her to the mat before trying to apply a heel hook! She briefly manages to get it applied before Ryan manages to catch her with an elbow strike before she can drop back and apply maximum pressure! Amelia is stunned for a moment as her and Ryan’s legs are tangled up before Amelia responds with another european uppercut! Ryan shakes off the stunned daze before connecting with another elbow strike, and Amelia responds with another european uppercut as they start trading in the center of the ring despite their legs still being tangled up!

Knots: “I think grappling’s out the window and this thing’s starting to break down!”

Sharper: “Neither woman afraid to throw strikes when necessary and they are battering one another right now, all for pride and momentum going into the battle royal!”

They trade a few more strikes before Amelia blocks one of Ryan’s elbow strikes and starts trying to bend her wrist back, looking to do a little joint manipulation. Ryan winces but uses her free arm to deliver an elbow strike to Amelia’s arm, and while it does free her from the joint manipulation, it also allows Amelia to fall back into the fully applied heel hook now! The fans are on their feet as Aaron Demitra checks in with Ryan, but she grits her teeth and shakes her head in refusal before she drags herself over to grab the bottom rope, and Amelia immediately releases the submission. Ryan rolls out onto the apron before using the ropes to help herself back to her feet, but as soon as she’s up, Amelia stuns her with another european uppercut. She starts trying to pull Ryan back into the ring, but Ryan grabs her arm and drops down to the floor, snapping Amelia’s arm off the top rope!

Sharper: “And that right there could be the difference-maker. As technically gifted as both of these ladies are, Ryan’s proven herself a little more willing to stretch the rules in order to gain the upper hand.”

Knots: “Xander warned Amelia last week that being honorable won’t get you anywhere in SCW anymore, and Ryan seems all too happy to prove his words true!”

Ryan takes a moment to shrug off the european uppercut she just ate as Amelia staggers back, clutching at her arm. Ryan slides back into the ring and hooks Amelia for a suplex, lifting her up before dropping her into a knee strike! Amelia hits the mat but instinctively rolls over onto her stomach to try and block any pinfall attempt, but Ryan just grabs her arm before stepping over and spinning into a la magistral cradle!

2!

Amelia Nevado kicks out, but Ryan immediately floats into a bridging fujiwara armbar! Amelia grits her teeth and stomps her toes into the mat as Ryan bends her arm at an unnatural angle, but Amelia refuses to submit. She starts trying to reach out for the ropes, but Ryan releases the armbar before floating over and attempting to lock in the BODY/PRISON! Amelia, however, manages to slip free before Ryan can grab her head, rolling the both of them over before she slowly starts to apply Earn Your Freedom! Ryan reaches out with her legs, trying to get to the ropes as she refuses to submit to Amelia’s unique submission. Her foot manages to graze the bottom rope, and Amelia releases the Earn Your Freedom before fluidly moving to grab Ryan’s legs, but Ryan manages to slip free and kick Amelia away before rolling back to her feet. She catches Amelia coming in with a stiff strike before chaining it into the Feel Nothing strike combination! Amelia starts falling to the mat, stunned, but Ryan grabs her before she can fall and tries to hook her for the Crowned With Teeth. Amelia, however, floats over before Ryan can plant her, twisting her around and hooking her for the Eye-Opener, but Ryan manages to free her arm and back drops Amelia over the top rope! Amelia lands on the apron, however, giving the fans an early preview for the Taking Hold of the Flame battle royal. She tries to step back into the ring, but Ryan catches her with a knee strike to keep her on the apron! She then steps out onto the apron and hooks Amelia before taking her over with Ephemeris!

Sharper: “These two are giving each other everything they have, and this match has been nothing short of incredible thus far!”

Knots: “Ryan’s the one with the upper hand once again, though! She has been hellbent on making a statement tonight at the expense of one-half of the former World Tag Team Champions!”

The fans begin chanting “THIS IS AWESOME!” as Ryan climbs back into the ring, rolling Amelia in as well. She drags her to the center of the ring before attempting once more to apply the BODY/PRISON, but Amelia manages to roll through before turning and trying a jackknife pin!

2!

Ryan kicks out! Both women scramble to their feet and Amelia tries for a european uppercut, but Ryan ducks it with a go-behind before running Amelia into the ropes and back into an O’Connor roll, adding a bridge for extra leverage!

Amelia manages to reverse it and rolls back, adding a bridge of her own!

Ryan kicks out, but Amelia uses the position to immediately try to apply the Blight Choke! Ryan quickly rolls back and tries to roll them into the BODY/PRISON once more, but Amelia shifts her weight and catches Ryan in a crucifix pin!

3!

Ryan kicks out, but just a split second too late as Aaron Demitra calls for the bell! “Victorious” by Skillet hits the speakers as Ryan looks stunned while Amelia rolls over to her corner, equally stunned. Luz, however, reaches through the ropes and hugs her wife, planting a kiss on her cheek.

Phillips: “Here is your winner… Amelia Nevado!”

Sharper: “No second guessing herself tonight! Amelia Nevado pulling off a huge win and gaining a ton of momentum going into Taking Hold of the Flame, and she beat Ryan LeCavalier tonight by managing to outwrestle her, fair and square!”

Knots: “I don’t think Ryan would fully agree with you, Adam, but Amelia can have the win tonight. As far as Ryan’s concerned, the match that really matters is the battle royal, and you better believe she’s not going to let this bother her for long!”

Luz climbs into the ring and helps Amelia to her feet as she and Ryan lock eyes, the latter looking dejected as the realization that she got caught tonight sinks in. Amelia steps forward, with Luz close behind as a precaution, and offers a hand of respect to help Ryan to her feet. Ryan just looks at it for a moment before rolling out of the ring and slowly heading up the ramp, shaking her head in disbelief. Amelia watches her leave before she lets Luz and Aaron Demitra raise her arms in victory, allowing herself to smile and take in this moment.

We return to the locker room of the Fall of Man where we see William Heaven yelling out of the locker room.

Heaven: “You tell CHBK if that’s the quality of his security, then we’re going to have a lot of problems. Especially later tonight! I better not get touched!”

Heaven slams what remains of the door as he turns back as we see Waylon Creek squatting over Giovanni Aries who is now leaning against the wall.

Heaven: “We’re just going to make sure that Xander Valentine won’t get that heroic feeling again, won’t we.”

Evans: “Won’t be a problem for me since I own his ass-“

Aries: “Easy for you to say. You’re not the one that got an aluminum bat to the leg and ribs!”

Aries starts to pull himself up.

Creek: “You should stay down. It’s going to hurt-“

Aries: “No shit!”

Aries gets up and limps over to his bag and grabs something out of it, before placing a cigarette in his mouth and lighting it. He takes a drag.

Aries: “This at least helps! The three of you just standing, waiting, gawking!”

Creek just looks at Aries.

Aries: “You brought me in for a reason and I still see us chasing damn trinkets and so called power. Let’s grab it by the damn throat!”

Aries limps back to the wall.

Aries: “Because I’m done being the guy who does the dirty work because someone has to get their head on right or wants to chase revenge. I’m the only one seeing CLEARLY here!”

Aries yells as Heaven walks over to him and looks at him.

Heaven: “We brought you in for a reason. But we’re laying the foundation for what you failed to accomplish before. But we need to do it TOGETHER.”

Heaven looks at Aries and then Creek and then Evans. The scene then cuts away.

COMMERCIALS

Breakdown returns as we see Xander Valentine pacing backstage. Hiro Tanaka is with him, trying to calm him down. Jaina Lancaster arrives on the scene, microphone in her hand.

Jaina: “Welcome back to Breakdown. Xander Valentine is here and after Heaven and Evans taunted you earlier, you’ve responded by going right into the Fall of Man locker room. You attacked hem with a bat. You certainly got a couple of good shots on Giovanni Aries.”

Xander turns to her.

Xander: “Think I’m still without a plan. I may be alone, but I’m going in knowing exactly what I need to do. And it may be three on one, but in the Thunderdome anything goes and I will do anything I have to to bring them down. I did THAT with only one good arm. Whether it’s go after them physically or mentally. Creek wants that pin on me more than anything. Here’s your chance. You willing to push Evans out of the way to get it? Are you going to still be on TEAM?”

Xander looks at the camera.

Xander: “I’m going to test that theory and if I’m going to walk out half dead, than so be it! But no matter what…SCW…I’m going to give you your best chance to end their goals. I’ll take the World Title. I’ll weaken them. Then in the Taking Hold of the Flame, finish the job. Whoever it is. Dumont, Striker, Light in the Darkness, LeCavalier…I don’t care. Whoever wants them…I’ll deliver them on a silver platter…”

Xander pauses for a moment.

Xander: “Giovanni was first. Who’s next!”

Xander looks at the camera before going to walk off, but he’s stopped by Simon Lyman who stands in front of him. Amy Chastaine is a few steps behind him.

Xander: “What do you want?”

Simon: “Just wanted to look you in the eye when you decided to go all Rambo against the Fall of Man…”

Xander: “And who else was going to be with me? You? It’s a nice story, Simon, but you’d be eaten alive by them. Don’t kid yourself.”

Simon: “I’ve been brought into this by them and my brother-“

Xander: “Then nothing is stopping you from your own fight. Just stay the hell out of my way.”

Xander steps past Simon, nudging him with his shoulder. Simon turns briefly, even stumbling as he is forced to put weight on his leg and cane. Amy steps in and stabilizes Lyman. Lyman looks down, clearly not pleased with it, before then shaking his head.

The Connection vs. Hollywood

We see a list of scrambled letters flowing down the screen as we then see the lights stop to highlight “Tommy Valentine” before highlighting “Kandis” and then highlighting “The Connection.” “Trenches” by Pop Evil starts to play as the crowd cheers.

Phillips: “The opening contest tonight on Breakdown is scheduled for onefall and has a twenty minute time limit. First, on their way to the ring, from Los Angeles, California, they are the team of Tommy Valentine and Kandis, they are the Connection!”

Kandis and Tommy Valentine walk out from the back. The crowd cheers as they look around. Kandis just smirks as Tommy nods, enjoying it. They then turn and talk to one another before starting to head to the ring. The crowd continues to cheer as they make their way down to the ring. Kandis heads over to the steel steps and walks up them, Tommy admiring the view before she steps into the ring. Tommy then runs up and walks along the apron and enters the ring. Kandis and Tommy then both go to opposite corners and look out at the crowd before Tommy hops down.

Sharper: “Connection returned to action two weeks ago at Breakdown: Fan’s Choice and thanks to some distractions by Josh Hudson and Konrad Raab, the Product shockingly beat the Connection.”

Knots: “Or maybe they’re a bit rusty and the Product is the future! You think of that?”

Sharper: “Maybe, but then again, I’d love to see them go at it yet again. Was it a fluke? Or are the Product the real deal?”

A rush of paparazzi rush down either side of the ramp as a red carpet is rolled out. The sounds of Michael Jackson’s “Hollywood Tonight” begins to play as Chris and Ryan Hollywood come out from the back, prompting a shamelessly stolen trope of flashes from the cameras as they stand atop the ramp.

Phillips: “Their opponents, from Hollywood, California, they are Ryan and Chris, they are Hollywood!”

They respond to pose instructions from the photographers as they move towards the ring. Once in the ring, they pose in the middle of the ring, back to back, as their music fades.

Sharper: “Hollywood has been in a few scandals and rumour has it that our own colleague Destiny Page is having some issues.”

Knots: “She’s hired a new PR firm. You know to shadow the one’s Hollywood have hired to help her. I don’t know about this.”

Sharper: “Destiny Page trying to replace Maddie Chase in the Dependables movies.”

Knots: “She already did once!”

Sharper: “This time she may actually be on set!”

The bell sounds as Ryan and Chris talk to one another as Tommy spanks Kandis on the ass before stepping outside. Kandis smirks as she stretches. Ryan then turns and steps up for Hollywood. They then look at one another and Ryan then steps up and Kandis quickly lunges, a bit more aggressively, and nails Ryan with a forearm shot. Ryan staggers as Kandis nails him with another forearm and then another before turning Ryan into the neutral corner and running him face first into the top turnbuckle. Ryan turns as Kandis hits a shoot kick to the chest. Ryan slides down and Kandis hits another shoot kick before then leaning in, choking him with her foot.

Sharper: “And Kandis knocking down Chris Hollywood now as Chris and Ryan just quickly finding out what going up against the former World Tag Team Champion means!”

Knots: “Let them get their feet under them. They’ve got a lot on their minds!”

Kandis grabs Chris and drags him over to the Connection corner. She holds him up and tags in Tommy. Tommy enters and kicks him in the ribs. Chris staggers back and turns around and Tommy nails him with a hard right before then whipping him into the ropes. Chris hits the ropes and Tommy hits a hip toss before jumping up and hitting a leg drop to the head. He goes for the pin.

Sharper: “And Hollywood showing their teamwork and that’s got the hall of famer hurting.”

Knots: “See! They’re fine. They’re focused now!”

Sharper: “Well Tommy will have to figure out how to fight out of this.”

Ryan then heads over and kicks him in the ribs before then scooping him up and slamming him down. He then hits an elbow drop. He gets up and then tags in Chris. Chris enters the ring and Tommy starts to get up and Ryan and Chris grab him and whip him into the ropes. Tommy bounces off and they hit a double drop toe hold on the rebound before both members of Hollywood get up and they hit a double dropkick to the head of Tommy. Chris goes for the pin.

Chris kicks out.

Sharper: “And there’s that unorthodox double-team from the Connection!”

Knots: “It’s take your own Kandis home tonight night!”

Sharper: “I don’t think that’s what’s meant by it. But it did get a two count.”

Chris rolls over and stirs and Kandis then kicks him in the ribs and drives her ass into his head with the Gratuitous.

Knots: “Ass to the face!”

Kandis then runs into the ropes and bounces off and hits a running leg drop. She stays on Chris for the pin.

Ryan follows up with a couple of shoulder thrusts before then grabbing her and going to whip her into the ropes. Kandis however stops at the ropes. Ryan then runs at her, but Kandis gets a boot up. She then runs across and tags in Tommy. Tommy slingshots in as the crowd roars. Ryan turns and Tommy hits a running clothesline. She then nails Chris with a hard right, knocking him off. Ryan gets up and Tommy kicks him in the ribs and hits the Twist of Hate.

Sharper: “And Tommy Valentine! House on fire! Twist of Hate!”

Knots: “He’s just striking anything moving!”

Sharper: “And Kandis still in there!”

Chris enters and Tommy trips him with a kick to the ribs. Chris gets up to his knees as Tommy looks at Kandis and they run into the ropes, bouncing off and hit the Twice as Nice on Chris Hollywood! Chris rolls over as Kandis then is forced out of the ring. Tommy then turns and goes over to Ryan when the crowd roars. Tommy nails Ryan with a hard right and then another before we see Kandis suddenly pulled by Dakon Theron and Ludvig Eriksson and run into the barricade. Chris steps up as Kemal Yilmaz takes him down with a vicious double-leg takedown. Tommy then notices this and runs over to the ropes as Oskar Theron hops onto the apron. The crowd boos as the bell sounds.

Sharper: “The EFN! The EFN here en masse!”

Knots: “Tommy! Look behind you!”

Kemal gets a series of hard rights on Chris Hollywood on the floor as Tommy nails Oskar off the apron once and then again before Tommy turns around and walks into a Burninator. The crowd ohs and boos. Konrad rolls back. The bell sounds again. Konrad then gets up as Ludvig and Dakon send Kandis back into the ring. Ryan steps up and Konrad grabs him and turns and throws him out of the ring. Konrad then turns as Dakon rolls into the ring. Kandis starts to get up and turns into Konrad who drills her with a European uppercut. She turns around as Dakon then lowers his head between her legs and hoists her up. Yilmaz rolls into the ring, finishing his assault on Chris Hollywood. Ludvig Eriksson climbs to the top rope and looks at Dakon and Kandis before diving off, hitting the Fiery European Destroyer. The crowd boos. Eriksson then gets up as Tommy slowly stirs and Theron points to him. Kemal then nails Tommy from behind and Oskar enters and steps in. Eriksson and Yilmaz then fire Tommy off into the ropes. He bounces off and Eriksson hoists him up as Dakon and Oskar jump up and grab him, hitting the European United Drop. The crowd boos.

Sharper: “And the European United Drop on Tommy. Kandis and Tommy being bludgeoned by the EFN!”

Knots: “And Raab just watching this. And look at that smile.”

Konrad Raab smiles as he looks at the Tommy and Kandis both down.

Sharper: “Raab now has his own unit and they have just ruined the second consecutive match of the Connection’s return!”

Knots: “Revenge is a bitch, aint it?”

Konrad Raab steps up and holds his arm up as the crowd boos. Dakon, Oskar, Yilmaz and Eriksson walk around the ring, admiring their carnage. The boos continue as the scene cuts away.

Glory Braddock is shown walking down the hallway. She takes a few steps before slowly coming to a stop as we see Melinda Braddock leaning against the wall of the hallway. Clyde Sutter then walks over to her.

Sutter: “Given it any more thought?”

Glory: “Look, I don’t need an Assassin. I don’t need to hire someone to go after Syren. I think she didn’t deserve that match, but she’ll fall on her own face.”

Melinda: “And yet, mother-“

Glory: “Don’t you start.”

Sutter: “The offer is still there.”

Glory sighs and looks down before then looking up.

Glory: “Let fate decide then…Excuse me.”

Glory steps past Melinda and Clyde Sutter. Sutter smirks as he turns to watch Glory leave. Melinda smiles too as the scene cuts away.

The “Fanfare-Rondeau” from Suite of Symphonies by Jean-Joseph Mouret is heard as the camera pans across a smoking room and comes up along the body of a cream orange pants before being covered by a red velvet robe as the camera pans up to see Derek Adonis seated in a leather chair. He is also wearing glasses for some reason.

Adonis: “Hello and welcome to the reading and smoking room in the heart of KABLAMia. Trust me when I say the smoking comes in a lot of different ways…KABLAM!”

Adonis shifts his weight. Adonis also starts to speak in a really bad British accent too.

Adonis: “I come to you here from the belly of the beast as it were to make a format challenge. I have been dabbling in the Underground, but in a safe, and consensual way for years. Here in KABLAMia, we allow those with all kinds of fantasies and attractions to be able to pursue them, guilt-free, provided they are legal. We are STRICTLY legal.”

Adonis says the last line with no accent, presumably to ensure he’s taken seriously.

Adonis: “But we don’t kink-shame here. If you want to enjoy missionary while pretending to be a missionary, we offer the setting…the KABLAMia church and vegetable garden. Maybe you want to go into some light BDSM, and enjoy being pleasured by your partner wearing a mask of a politician while you go over their voting records in Congress. The KABLAMia Legislature offers reading rooms just for that. Or perhaps you wish to enjoy in some edgeplay and if so, you can do so while overlooking the KABLAMia gorge while wearing the appropriate harnesses while engaging in your tryst at the edge of a cliff. And we don’t judge here.”

Adonis smiles.

Adonis: “We also have some caves and basements if you want to take Underground literally.”

Adonis stops for a moment.

Adonis: “What am I getting at? Well Colleen MacDonald has shone that the Underground can be more than just wanton violence and maimings and blood and guts. Not that there’s anything wrong with that….we don’t kink-shame here. But Colleen, we want to really test it. Don’t worry…not asking you to come to KABLAMia, unless you want. Just have to follow the rules. There are many that would appreciate your finishing hold…KABLAM!”

Adonis shakes his head.

Adonis: “Sorry…but maybe the Underground can be something else. Either way, the KABLAMia Tourism Board thinks me holding the Underground Championship is what is needed for our summer program. So Colleen…the challenge is out there. Taking Hold of the Flame…are you woman enough to take on Man Mountain?”

Adonis then pulls out an oversized pipe. He blows into it as bubbles come out.

Adonis: “An enthusiastic yes would be appreciated and loudly heard!”

Adonis blows more bubbles as the strings continue to play in the background as the scene cuts away.

The first chords of "Immortal" by Ozzy Osbourne begins to play over the PA system. Glory Braddock steps out onto the stage, wearing a white blouse and black slacks. She looks out at the crowd as they cheer her. She plays to the crowd a bit before starting to make her way down to the ring.

Sharper: “Glory Braddock about to join us here on Breakdown and folks, a lot of people are reading into the social media posts of Glory recently, namely this one.”

The X logo comes up on the screen as we see Glory’s post:

Glory Braddock

@GloriaMBraddock

I can afford to be patient. I will not compete in Taking Hold of the Flame.

The post remains on the screen.

Knots: “Glory’s out. She’s says she’s not going to be in the Taking Hold of the Flame.”

Sharper: “And I’ve heard some rumblings from some that they really don’t care for this. She was scheduled to enter first. She had that back and forth with Selena.”

Knots: “Well and right now, she’ll be watching Taking Hold of the Flame from a press box!”

Back live, we see Glory Braddock walking across the ring and going to the corner where a microphone waits for her. She takes it and turns back to the middle of the ring. She then looks around as her music fades out. The crowd gives a more mixed reaction as Glory Braddock looks around.

Glory: “I seem to have stirred up a few things, haven’t I?”

Glory looks around as she slowly paces around the ring.

Glory: “I want to make something clear before I say anything further. My statements here in this ring tonight are not for SCW or CHBK. If you want it another way, consider this your consequences…and they take place in this ring, Heartbreaker….”

Glory looks out as she walks around the ring.

Glory: “I just wanted to do one thing and that’s compete. Just like I did last week against Kemal Yilmaz. Came out and I made him tap in front of the world. The EFN may claim a new style, but Braddock Strong Style is still very much in vogue!”

Glory continues to walk around the ring.

Glory: “But I should still have my opportunity against Dexter Grant and that whole situation still doesn’t sit well with me. What else doesn’t sit well with me? Syren getting ANY benefit of the doubt. She should never have been in that match with Selena and I. Is she a SCW great? Sure. Has she been lately…she’s on a three match losing streak. She can blame Meghan Strader all she wants. I see someone who is aging like milk. But she gets this shot all because why? Well I don’t think I’m really saying much people don’t know. CHBK and Syren go way back. I can live with losing to Selena Frost. But when I lost because Syren was in the way….”

Glory shakes her head.

Glory: “But fine…that’s how you want to run SCW. I’ll leave it there for you. But now I want to talk to everyone in the back. Because I feel some of my recent comments on social media and in media interviews have rubbed people the wrong way.”

Glory pauses for a moment.

Glory: “I know I was number one in the Taking Hold of the Flame. That was thanks to Rebirth and what I’ve already mentioned. And at first, I looked forward to the challenge. But then I realized something…I don’t need to win Taking Hold of the Flame at this stage of my career. If Syren can get the benefit of the doubt, if Blake Mason can buy his way to the top, then maybe I can just wait until the opportunity I am owed by my track record of being at the top of this sport for twenty years…I can be patient.”

Glory pauses.

Glory: “I realize that’s a luxury not everyone has. But it’s one I have. I can be patient.”

Glory looks down briefly.

Glory: “I can afford to wait. I can afford to be patient. And I can afford not to have to play games. So I pulled out of the Taking Hold of the Flame battle royal. I don’t need that opportunity. And I don’t need to kill myself when I don’t think I’d get a fair shot anyways. And if you have a problem with that, fine. But sometimes this sport needs to be a meritocracy and damn it, I’m going to act like it is.”

Glory looks out at the crowd.

Glory: “So find someone else to be number one in the Taking Hold of the Flame. Thirty-nine others in that match just got a gift. You don’t have to go through Glory Braddock in hopes you face the Fall of Man or Xander Valentine, whoever survives the Thunderdome! Your night just got easier. Be happy about it. But that’s my decision and it’s my luxury.”

Glory looks around.

Glory: “To the fans who hoped to see me do the impossible, I’m sorry.”

Glory looks at the crowd.

Glory: “I am. You did weigh heavily on my decision. Because I will never try to give you less of myself in this ring. But you will get another shot to see me in action. I’m going nowhere. But that means someone has to book me. So…that’s where we stand.”

Glory’s music plays. Glory then turns and puts the microphone down in the middle of the ring. Glory then walks past and walks over to the ropes. She steps to the apron and then drops down to the floor.

Sharper: “Glory explaining her position. I don’t know if it’s going to go down well for many, but it’s rational.”

Knots: “You know, CHBK should listen to her!”

Sharper: “Well, there’s clearly some disagreement there. One thing for certain – if Glory Braddock is booked, she’ll give the fans a show and he’ll fight to win. But it just won’t be in the Taking Hold of the Flame battle royal.”

Knots: “She has balls I guess for not wanting the World Title shot at Rise to Greatness.”

Glory Braddock walks up the ramp to the back. She then gets to the stage, but just then, Ryan LeCavalier runs out from the back and nails her with a hard clothesline. The crowd ohs as Glory hits the steel stage. She rolls over and Ryan then grabs her and turns and runs her into the set. Glory bounces off, staggering, her head having gone into it and Ryan spins her around and sends her into the corner of the entrance. Glory hits the stage as Ryan LeCavalier looks at her. She then shakes her head.

Sharper: “What the hell? Ryan LeCavalier! LeCavalier attacking Braddock!”

Knots: “Braddock was just thrown face first into the edge of that set. Right into that opening!”

Glory reaches out, grabbing at Ryan to try and fight, but Ryan nails her with a hard right. Glory falls back and rolls over. Ryan then pulls her up and kneels Glory in front of her. It’s clear a cut has opened up over her right eye. Ryan then looks at her and nails her with a series of hard right hands. The blood flows more with each shot, coming down Glory’s face and then dripping down onto her white blouse. Glory tries to block the first few shots before Ryan’s offense causing Glory’s arms to drop.

Sharper: “LeCavalier is pummeling Glory Braddock! And Braddock is bloodied!”

Knots: “Ryan LeCavalier is sending her own message! I don’t think she buys what Glory Braddock said!”

Ryan LeCavalier nails Glory Braddock again and she drops to the stage. Braddock rolls over, blood dripping down onto the steel. Officials run out to stop the attack as Ryan LeCavalier looks at Braddock and then looks around as officials push her back. Ryan LeCavalier backs up for a moment before then running over and stomping Braddock in the head as she tries to get up. Braddock rolls over again as the crowd looks on, more stunned. Ryan LeCavalier then backs up and looks at the officials and then Braddock. She shakes her head again as she backs up and then turns and heads to the back. The crowd looks on as officials check on the bloodied Glory Braddock as the scene cuts away.

Destiny Page is backstage, looking at her phone and shaking her head. She looks frustrated as Jaina Lancaster heads over to her.

Jaina: “Hey, Destiny…you okay?”

Destiny: “Hollywood keeps just making things difficult. Now I’m getting PETA after me after last week. And my representation is telling me to distance myself from them.”

Jaina: “I mean there’s also the conflict of interest there…”

Destiny: “I know. I’m trying to get them to back off, but they’re the one’s pushing it. And my rep is saying the Dependables people want something stable if they’re going to have me replace Maddie and…”

The phone rings. Destiny looks at this.

Destiny: “I need to take this.”

Destiny answers it.

Destiny: “Hello….what? No I don’t slaughter my own beef! Where did that come from?!”

Jaina looks stunned as Destiny walks off and the scene cuts away.

"Hater era"

A laugh can be heard before the opening sounds of “Overdose” by Memphis May Fire begin. The song quickly picks up pace as purple, pink, and yellow lights shine throughout the arena, emanating from the stage.

The song plays for some time before Jordan Majors walks out to the middle of the stage and turns around and puts her arms straight out as she looks down. The camera pans in to her leather jacket to see #HaterEra emblazoned on the back. She bobs her head to the music before turning and looking directly toward the ring. She kneels down and taps a fist into the ground before she grins and begins to make her way toward the ring at her own pace.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a ten minute time limit. First, on her way to the ring, from Chicago, Illinois, she is the Star of Today, Jordan Majors!”

She ignores the crowd on each side of the ramp as she slowly walks to the area just outside of the ring. Majors makes her way to the ring steps and slaps them twice before she runs up and jumps to the middle rope from the outside of the turnbuckle. She screams out to the crowd and points to herself before she grins and strikes a pose in the corner with her arms stretched out to each side.

Jordan hops over the top rope and into the ring and removes her jacket. She tosses it out of the ring before she walks to the ropes and climbs through to the middle rope. She sits on the rope and nods her head before she ducks back into the ring. Jordan makes her way to her corner and sits on the top rope as she waits for the match to begin. The camera cuts to a short-haired blonde male wrestler, wearing black and white tights.

Phillips: “And her opponent, from Lubbock, Texas, he is Steve Mason!”

Mason throws his arms up and then turns to Jordan Majors and points at himself before Jordan Majors motions to Phillips. Phillips heads over to her as Jordan Majors takes the microphone from him.

Sharper: “Jordan Majors coming out to face a local talent and now what…”

Knots: “Phillips screwed up.”

Majors: “Thanks for the intros, but not quite good enough. See, this is a match for the RIGHTFUL SCW United States Championship…and that’s because I’m defending it. So…Stevie…lucky day. Get ready. You could become a star. Doubt it though!”

Majors drops the microphone and steps down off the turnbuckle. The bell sounds.

Sharper: “Rightful US Champion now…”

Knots: “Yeah! She clearly had a claim to the title. Hayes just took it back. Not legit!”

Sharper: “Good lord…”

Majors circles with Mason as Mason then moves in and quickly hits an arm wrench before then moving into a hammerlock before forcing Majors to the mat and going for a quick pin.

1!

Majors kicks out. Both get up and Mason kicks her in the ribs and goes for a quick school boy.

1!

2!

Majors kicks out and rolls to the ropes. She then looks around as Mason gets up and nods. The crowd roars as Mason then moves to Majors. Majors holds onto the ropes. The referee calls for the break, but Majors then drops down and pulls Mason throat first into the top rope. Mason staggers back and falls to a knee. He gets up and Majors hits him with a vicious shoot kick to the chest. Mason falls back.

Sharper: “And Majors using the ropes and then a hard kick to get in control.”

Knots: “That’s that next level thinking. Championship thinking!”

Mason stirs and gets up and Majors forearms him in the jaw once and then again before pushing him into the corner. She then kicks him a couple of times before going to grab him by the head and going for a bulldog. Mason shoves her off. Majors slides and turns and Mason suddenly grabs her and hits a falcon arrow! He stays on her for the pin.

1!

2!

Majors kicks out. Mason turns and grabs Majors and grabs her, but Majors hits a jawbreaker. Mason stumbles back and Majors gets up and then runs at Mason before jumping up and hitting a running dropkick. Mason flies back into the corner. Majors then pulls herself up and walks around the ring before running at him and hitting the Donk Bonk. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “And Majors with shades of Cookie Dreams…”

Knots: “Those days are long gone, but we have the memories!”

Majors then walks around the ring as Mason slowly crawls out from the corner. Majors just watches him and then hits a kick to the stomach. Mason rolls over slowly and Majors walks around the ring before then running at Mason and hitting a running punt. The crowd ohs as Mason drops to the mat. Majors then leans on the top rope and looks out. She then turns around and squats down in the corner. She motions for Mason to get up as Mason slowly gets his hands underneath it and starts to pull himself up. He then gets his foot under him and steps up only for Majors to run out and hit the Cash Out.

Sharper: “And there it is. The Cash Out!”

Knots: “Ballgame!”

Majors rolls Mason over and covers him.

1!

2!

3!

The bell sounds. Majors then slowly gets up. She raises her arm.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Jordan Majors!”

The crowd boos as “Overdose” plays. Majors looks around and then goes over to the microphone she dropped to start the match and grabs it. She turns to Phillips.

Majors: “And STILL the Rightful United States Champion!”

Majors walks over to the middle of the ring, but as she does “Song for the Dead” by Queens of the Stone Age takes over on the soundsystem. The crowd cheers as Jordan brings the microphone down and looks at the entrance way as Asher Hayes walks out from the back, holding the interim SCW United States Championship over his shoulder. He has a microphone in his hand as he takes a few more steps from the back.

Majors: “How about that? Austin, Texas is a bit easier than Britain. Do you remember wandering through here last month?”

Majors smirks as Hayes just chuckles.

Hayes: “Ha ha. Funny. You had your fun here? Poor guy’s just looking to get ahead. You embarrass him…although he nearly got you a few times. Maybe your ego has something to do with it.”

Majors: “Nah, just like I always gave you a few treats to lead you on, you couldn’t get it done either.”

Hayes: “Enough of this.”

Majors: “You don’t like the jokes. You don’t like the not taking it seriously? Do you need me to make some joke about your penis now? Or do you want me to turn around so you can get a good look at my ass.”

Hayes shakes his head.

Majors: “What’s wrong? Oh wait…you’re trying to turn the corner. A bit hard when that drug issue follows you like a bad habit. How much longer until you just give up?”

Hayes: “Is that what this is all about? I was an immature piece of shit. I get it. I’m not going to deny it. But to do what you did…my family, my job…my reputation-“

Majors: “Like you had anything left of one…But that’s fine, Asher. I was hoping you’d come out because I’ve said I’m the rightful US champion and well, I told you I’d have proof. So Asher…before you keep going after me…maybe look in the mirror. Oh…and I’d like my title back….”

Majors points to the big screen. Hayes looks at her as Majors smirks and we then cut to see a shot of Jordan Majors in a bikini, leaning back on Asher Hayes who seems to be holding the SCW US Championship, while on a unicorn floatie at what appears to be a Mexican resort. There’s a third person in the scene, what appears to another male patron of the resort, whose face is covered by a black bar across their eyes. Hayes looks up as the crowd roars. He looks confused.

Majors: “Gord there was helpful. Counted the three…and if you needed doubt…”

Majors smirks as the images changes to show Majors pointing at the US Championship as she holds it up. Hayes can be seen laughing, but also with a drink in his hand at this point as “Gord” is raising Major’s other hand.

Majors: “Oh…and I’ve got more pictures of our wonderful time together in Mexico! But if you want me to explain it to your wife and kids, I can send receipts!”

Majors says the last clause with more purpose, as her tone changes to anger. Hayes just looks up at the image and then back at Majors as “Overdose” then starts to play. Majors smirks as she drops the microphone. Hayes runs his hand through his hair as he looks up.

Knots: “That’s pretty irrefutable. Majors and Hayes went to Mexico and…they look to have a good time. And Majors pinned him for the title.”

Sharper: “They were having a good time. They look to be drinking…how can that be legitimate?”

Knots: “Majors doesn’t look like she’s joking around! She’s taking pretty seriously!”

Majors looks right at Hayes before pulling herself down to the floor. She then glances at Hayes as Hayes keeps looking up at the photo. Majors walks down the entrance way, but instead of going up the rampway, she walks along the floor to avoid passing Hayes. She heads to the back as the crowd buzzes.

Marissa Swanson vs. Chris Lawler

SCW Television Championship

The arena slowly dims to complete darkness. It is a few moments before the SCWtron flashes a shot of a pair of deep brown eyes. The shot fades out and a small pulse can be heard before the same shot shows a second time. The crowd is very uneasy. The shot of the eyes goes back out again. The next shot that shows is a quick video of a woman having her right hand run up a pet leash. That shot fades out and the next one shows the shadow of someone wearing the leash.  After this shot fades out, the beginning of "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus begins to play.

As soon as Miley begins to sing, there is a small spotlight that lights up on the stage. Walking slowly into it is Marissa Swanson. As the chorus begins she looks up and glares around at those closest to the wrestler rampway. She sneers at all of them and walks down to the ring.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for one fall, and it is for the SCW Television Championship! Introducing first, the challenger… Marissa Swanson!”

Once down at the ring she rubs her hands against the apron of the ring, with it looking kind of disturbing. When the chorus plays a second time, she sits up on the apron and rolls under the bottom rope and into the ring.

Marissa then stands up and licks the front of her left hand with her tongue as her entrance music continues. The third instance of the chorus leads to Marissa just standing in the middle of the ring and raising both of her arms. She leaves them up until her music fades out. The lights fully return to normal. She looks around in an intimidating manner, waiting for her opponent to join her in the center of the ring.

Sharper: “This is exactly where Marissa Swanson has wanted to be, here in an SCW ring. She tried to use Polly to get here years ago and that backfired on her, but Polly managed to get her a contract and she’s proven herself enough to earn this Television Title opportunity here tonight.”

Knots: “Crazy how she went from kidnapping Polly to befriending her and getting her help in convincing CHBK she’s a changed woman. Whether or not that’ll help her strike gold here tonight remains to be seen.”

The dimmed lights cast an atmosphere of anticipation as the arena falls into darkness, the only illumination coming from the pulsating strobe lights. The crowd's murmurs fade into a hush as the opening chords of "Warrior" by Imagine Dragons reverberate through the speakers, electrifying the air with anticipation.

From the depths of the darkness, a figure emerges, his silhouette outlined against the backdrop of flashing lights. With each step, the floor trembles beneath his feet, echoing the determination that propels him forward. It's Chris Lawler, a titan among men, his presence commanding attention as he strides purposefully down the entrance ramp, the SCW Television Title around his waist.

His eyes, a piercing shade of blue, remain fixed on the ring ahead, unwavering in their focus as if they could pierce through the very fabric of reality. Ignoring the cacophony of cheers and jeers that surround him, Lawler remains resolute in his mission, his gaze locked on the squared circle where his destiny awaits.

Phillips: “Her opponent, from Nashville, Tennessee, he is the SCW Television Champion… Chris Lawler!”

As Lawler reaches the foot of the ring, the strobe lights reach a crescendo, bathing him in a pulsating glow of light and shadow. With a subtle nod to the crowd, Lawler ascends the steel steps, each footfall a testament to his unwavering determination.

Finally, he steps between the ropes, his presence filling the ring with an aura of intensity and purpose. Standing tall in the center of the ring as he raises the Television Title belt high, Lawler raises his gaze to the heavens, a silent vow etched upon his features. Tonight, he will leave everything in the ring, his spirit unbroken, his resolve unyielding, as he prepares to face whatever challenges come his way.

Sharper: “This Television Title reign has been incredible for Chris Lawler and his confidence, and he knows he’s got another tough challenge ahead of him tonight to prove himself.”

Knots: “Lord knows he needed a confidence boost, but that begs the question: what happens whenever he finally loses the belt? What’s that going to do to him, and who could find themselves in the crossfire if he can’t pull himself back together?”

Referee Steve Hollinsworth signals for the bell and Lawler and Swanson both meet each other in the center of the ring. Lawler tries to lock up, but Marissa ducks underneath and slips behind him. Lawler turns and tries to lock up again, but again, Marissa slips behind him and this time catches him in the back with a dropkick, sending him into the ropes. Lawler nods to himself as he turns, seeing that Marissa didn’t pursue and is still keeping her distance. He lunges for another lock-up, but Marissa once again ducks underneath. This time, however, Lawler stops himself and swings around, catching Marissa with a hard clothesline that sends her to the mat and rolling out to the floor!

Sharper: “Marissa trying to frustrate Lawler early and get him off-balance, but Lawler managing to catch her with that huge clothesline.”

Knots: “Lawler’s confidence has been growing with this Television Title reign, and Marissa knows full well she’s not going to overpower the man who continues to deny everyone the glorious return of the Lawler Cutter!”

Marissa pulls herself back to her feet on the outside, looking up at Lawler as he walks around the ring, patiently waiting for her as Steve Hollinsworth starts counting her out. (1) Marissa just nods to herself, letting Lawler have a moment to bask in his growing confidence. (2) She pulls herself onto the apron and steps back in. The two competitors circle one another before Lawler tries to kick Marissa in the gut, but she catches his foot. He uses this to throw an enzugiri, but Marissa ducks it and Lawler hits the mat, where Marissa quickly floats into a headlock and drives some punches into Lawler’s forehead. Lawler starts to get to his feet, and Marissa quickly turns him into a neckbreaker, but Lawler manages to slip free and still takes Marissa over with a belly-to-back suplex! He goes for a cover, hooking the leg.

2!

Marissa Swanson kicks out!

Sharper: “Lawler staying focused, using what he knows works to give himself another week as Television Champion.”

Knots: “This match is still in its early stages, though. Plenty of time for things to turn.”

Lawler pulls Marissa to her feet before he applies a sleeper hold, using his larger size to try and wear her down. Steve Hollinsworth checks in as Marissa’s arms flail, trying to either grab the ropes or somehow pry Lawler’s grip free. He briefly thrashes her about to try and wear her out even more as Marissa refuses to submit, managing to get her hands around Lawler’s head before dropping down into a jawbreaker! Lawler releases the sleeper and stumbles back, stunned for a moment, as Marissa pulls herself back to her feet, catching her breath. She goes to throw another dropkick, but Lawler mirrors her as their dropkicks collide and neither one wins the exchange! They both get back to their feet and both think dropkick again, leading to another stalemate! The fans applaud as Marissa and Lawler stare each other down, Marissa calmly nodding while Lawler starts to look a little annoyed. He lunges at Marissa with a clothesline once they’re both on their feet, but Marissa ducks it and catches him from behind with a neckbreaker! She goes for the cover.

2!

Chris Lawler kicks out!

Sharper: “Marissa catching Chris with the neckbreaker after the dropkick stalemate, and you saw Lawler start getting a little frustrated there for a moment.”

Knots: “I’m telling you, all he needs to do is just hit the Lawler Cutter and problem solved!”

Lawler tries to pull himself to his feet, but Marissa catches him in the face with a low dropkick to keep him on the mat! She heads over to the corner and hops up onto the middle rope, followed by stepping up to the top rope. She measures Lawler before leaping off and connecting with The Penultimate Note right to the throat! Marissa makes the cover.

1!

2!

Lawler kicks out! Marissa runs a hand through her hair and takes a deep breath as Lawler remains on the mat, coughing and clutching at his throat. Marissa heads back to the corner and climbs to the top rope once more, measuring Lawler for a second Penultimate Note, but Lawler manages to get back to his feet and rushes to the corner to cut her off. Marissa manages to leap over Lawler and rolls through, but as she turns, Lawler catches her with the Blitz Kick! He goes for the cover.

1!

2!

Marissa Swanson gets a shoulder up! Lawler looks at the referee, stunned and asking for confirmation that he only got two.

Sharper: “Lawler only getting two on the Blitz Kick, and you can see the confidence slipping.”

Knots: “I’m almost starting to wonder if he came into this match a little overconfident with how he’s sure he should’ve put Marissa down already!”

Marissa starts trying to pull herself back to her feet, but Lawler is having none of it as he grabs her ankle, looking for the Lockdown Hold. Marissa, however, turns and manages to kick him in the face to get him to back off! Lawler staggers back as Marissa gets back to her feet and rushes him, but Lawler lifts her into a military press before driving her into the mat with the Fury Suplex! He goes for the cover, hooking the leg.

1!

2!

Marissa kicks out again! Lawler is looking up at Steve Hollinsworth, shaking his head in disbelief as Hollinsworth insists he only got two. Lawler slams his fist into the mat in frustration as he sees Marissa trying to pull herself back up again. He looks between her and the ropes before he runs off of them, attempting to catch her in the face with the Final Judgment, but Marissa manages to duck and roll him up in a schoolgirl pin!

3!

Steve Hollinsworth calls for the bell as Lawler kicks out just a little too late! "Wrecking Ball" by Miley Cyrus hits the speakers again as Marissa rolls out to the floor, and Lawler looks up in shock and disbelief as Hollinsworth confirms the three count before stepping out of the ring to retrieve the Television Title belt.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, and NEW SCW Television Champion… Marissa Swanson!”

Sharper: “Marissa Swanson stuns Chris Lawler here tonight and we have a new Television Champion here in Austin!”

Knots: “Call it a redemption story, call it sheer luck, call it whatever you want. Marissa Swanson now has SCW gold and Chris Lawler looks like he’s about to have a meltdown! Should’ve used the Lawler Cutter!”

Steve Hollinsworth hands Marissa the Television Title out on the floor and raises her arm in victory as she smiles, looking like she might be about to cry from the moment. Lawler, meanwhile, sits in the center of the ring, looking blankly at Marissa celebrating as she walks up the ramp, trembling as he tries to keep his cool in the face of this setback.

Jaina Lancaster is shown backstage with Selena Frost outside of one of the locker rooms. Selena Frost has a slightly smug look on her face.

Jaina: “I’m here backstage with Selena Frost and Selena, we’re getting closer and closer to Taking Hold of the Flame. Glory Braddock has pulled out. Ryan LeCavalier then attacked her. Amelia Nevado beat Ryan earlier. We have Xander’s trios cash-in. There’s a lot I’m sure you have thoughts on as you watch everything unfold to an event you claim is already determined.”

Selena: “Am I wrong? Taking Hold of the Flame will be mine. Simple as that. I’ve said we’re just in my world. Xander Valentine having a panic attack and then deciding to turn his tantrum into a Thunderdome match where he may not walk out to me…honestly, almost depressing. I had hoped he may survive until Rise to Greatness just so I could end the delusions he and so many have that I only beat him by a fluke last year at Taking Hold of the Flame.”

Selena scoffs.

Selena: “As for Amelia, it’s great to see her getting her opportunities and it’s a notable win. But Glory, she showed that she may be the smartest of them all. She realized it was a wasted match for her. She would not be able to get past me and she bailed on Taking Hold of the Flame. Perhaps others can get the hint. Maybe Syren can too, then again, I assume CHBK will ensure she gets a good draw, but that’s maybe where Glory and I agree. As for Ryan…I have nothing to say about her.”

Jaina: “Not even after what she said to you last week? Or what she did to Glory?”

Selena: “She has her issues. I’m focusing on mine. Mine revolve around the World Title. Is she there yet?”

Jaina shakes her head.

Selena: “That’s that. But I’m still watching…and just counting the days. Counting the days until I can finally focus on what I’ve been waiting for for so long. BELIEVE IT!”

Breakdown slowly cuts to commercial.

COMMERCIALS

Breakdown returns as Marissa Swanson walks down the hallway, holding the SCW Television Championship. She turns the corner and takes a few steps as she stops and looks at Polly Pingotti. Polly looks at Marissa with the title and then scoffs a bit, looking around.

Swanson: “You don’t need to say anything.”

Polly: “What’s there to say…You have gold. Colleen has gold-“

Swanson: “And you need to starting taking what you want. You dropped Selena. I heard she talked. Did she even mention you?”

Polly takes a deep breath.

Swanson: “So what are you going to do about it?”

Polly: “Congratulations…”

Polly then walks past Swanson and down the hallway. Swanson doesn’t even watch her, instead, heading to the locker room and stepping inside.

Meghan Strader vs. Konrad Raab

The lights drop as the guitar riff of “How Could I Just Kill a Man?” by Rage Against the Machine starts. The camera focuses on the dark stage under the SCWtron as one a spotlight hits the right showing Cara with her back and patch to the ring with her right fist in the air, another spotlight to the far left on Mackenzie with her back and patch to the ring with her fist in the air. Two spotlights hit on either side beside Cara and Mack showing Veronica beside Cara and Tamika beside Mack with their patches to the ring before the final spotlight one hits the middle and out walks Meghan Strader, fist in the air. Meghan taps her President patch as the Cowgirls From Hell turn around, the women putting their fists together and yell their mantra.

CFH: “COWGIRLS FOREVER! FOREVER COWGIRLS!”

The crowd erupts with cheers as Meghan starts the descent to the ring, the Cowgirls following their President. Tamika and Veronica hop up on the ring apron, and hold the top rope up and middle rope down for Meghan as she wipes her snakeskin boots off on the apron before stepping through.

Knots: “The Cowgirls are here but seem to be missing their Treasurer Victoria and Prospect Tearra.”

Sharper: “I am sure they aren’t far behind, these women stick together.”

Meghan extends her hand for a microphone and Philips hands her one. The music dies down as the Matriarch raises the microphone to her crimson red lips.

Meghan Strader: “I told Polly and everyone in the back that at Rebirth I would walk away with the win, inching ever closer to my ultimate goal… the SCW World Championship. And I did exactly that. Polly thought she could outsmart me and use Marissa to her advantage but I have my enforcer, the Mack Daddi, the biker princess herself, Mackenze. Oh, and can’t forget our prospect, Tearra Skye. Meeks, call your prospect out here, would ya?”

Tamika takes the microphone from her sister, and the Vice President looks up to the entrance way.

Tamika Strader: “Tearra, you are the next contestant on Get Your Butt Out Here!”

“Give it Away” by the RHCP plays as Tearra walks out, her silver blonde hair falling over her shoulders and cover the prospect rocker patch on the back of her kutte. She gets to the ring and all of the Cowgirls faces have gone serious. Her music dies down, and Tamika lowers her head as Meghan approaches Skye.

Meghan Strader: “Tee, I’m gonna need you take off that kutte.”

Meghan pulls a Rambo First Blood replica combat knife from the inside pocket of her kutte.

Meghan Strader: “And give us back the prospect rocker.”

Tamika turns around, the commentary team seeing the smirk on her face.

Sharper: “Oh that’s just mean.”

Knots: “They are messing with Tearra Skye!”

Tamika takes the mic from her big sister, and walks over to the almost in tears Tearra. Just as she cuts the rocker off the kutte, Tamika hands her the full CFH patches.

Tamika Strader: “Put these on instead.”

The fans erupt as Tearra’s eyes go wide and embraces her sponsor, the Vice President Tamika.

Meghan Strader: “With everything you have done for the sake of this club, we are proud to call you sister, sister!”

Sharper: “The crowd is pleased! So is Skye!”

Knots: “She should be! She just became a full member of the Cowgirls From Hell!”

As the women celebrate, “Feuer Frei” by Rammstein hits the sound system.

Sharper: “Looks like the match is on!”

Knots: “Interrupting a beautiful scene here on Breakdown.”

Meghan nods at her Cowgirl sisters to leave, except Mackenzie who hops out of the ring, standing proudly in her aunt’s corner. Konrad comes out through the curtain with his flanged German mace and the blowtorch with him, acting erratic with an angry look on his face, rising the flanged German mace and the blowtorch in the air, wearing red and black skull face paint on the right side of his face with a red and black suit hoodie over his head he wears with pieces of flame blood designed all over them. He also has a penguin, walrus and a polar bear stitching on the left-hand side of his chest on his gear, stating Stop Climate Change and has NASCAR Xfinity Series and Kaulig Racing logo stitching on the right hand side of his chest on his gear. He also wears black boots along with Red and Black Gloves on his hands. Ginny Raab walks out behind him. Raab crouches down on the floor with the flanged German mace and the blowtorch in front of him, looking at the ring with evil intentions.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a twenty minute time limit. First, on his way to the ring, from Cologne, Germany, accompanied by Ginny Raab, he is Burned in Blood, Konrad Raab!”

After the announcement, Konrad picks up his flanged German mace and the blowtorch and slowly walks to the ring with a massive amount of boos.

Phillips: “And his opponent, from London, Ontario, Canada, representing the Cowgirls from Hell, she is Meghan Strader!”

Konrad runs up the steps and goes underneath the ropes, while Ginny walks up the stairs and gets in the ring with Konrad. As he's in the ring, Konrad, without showing any sign of acknowledgement from the fans, lays the flanged German mace on the turnbuckle, then sits in the corner of the ring with the crowd booing him, having a nasty look in his eyes, flicking his fists as if he's already ready to fight, with Ginny taking Konrad's flanged German mace and his blowtorch away, waiting for the match to start as he takes his hoodie off from his head as Ginny leaves the ring and goes backstage.

Sharper: “Konrad Raab now out here after earlier being involved in that attack on the Connection.”

Knots: “More oversaw it. But he got some shots in!”

Sharper: “But now he enters this match with Meghan Strader and a lot more eyes on it. Not just from the Connection, but I’m sure Syren, Ravyn Taylor, and Lexy Chapel are going to be watching too!”

The bell sounds as Raab runs at Meghan and Meghan steps up and nails Raab with a hard right. Raab nails her back with one and the crowd roars as Raab and Strader trade blows in the middle of the ring. After several good shots, Meghan rakes the eyes of Raab, getting some cheers from the crowd. Meghan then forearms him in the jaw once and then again before pushing him into the ropes. She goes to whip him across, but Raab spins through and sends her in. Meghan hits the ropes and spins around Raab, forcing him down with a school boy before then diving over him and into a side headlock, only to hammer away on Raab. The crowd roars.

Sharper: “And this is turning into a scrap quickly!”

Knots: “Repeated rights to the jaw of Raab!”

Raab pushes Strader away as Strader gets up and stomps him in the back once and then again and again. Raab moves into the corner as Strader starts to choke him with her boot.

Meghan hits the mat and starts to get up and Raab grabs her by the head as she does and clocks her with another European uppercut. Meghan rolls over and gets up and Raab runs her into the corner. Raab then nails her with a series of hard right hands, Meghan’s head snapping back as the official moves over and counts.

Knots: “And caught him right under the jaw. Raab’s mouth is going to take a beating after this one.”

Raab gets up and Meghan grabs his head and runs up the corner and spins through into the Vengeance. Meghan hooks the leg.

Meghan then gets up and moves to the corner. She exits to the apron and climbs up to the top rope. Raab however gets up and falls into the ropes. Meghan lands hard on the top turnbuckle and flips into the ring. She starts to get up and Raab grabs her and hits a huge high angle back suplex towards the middle of the ring. Raab then gets up and hits an elbow drop before getting up and hitting a second elbow drop and then leaning down, choking Meghan with his elbow.

Meghan Strader kicks out. Raab instead nails Meghan with a few hard rights before getting up.

Sharper: “Just putting everything behind those right hands.”

Knots: “Meghan better get back up and throw a few rights of her own.”

Raab waits as Meghan starts to fight up and she does, only for Raab to nail her with another European uppercut. She falls back to the ropes. Raab then steps up and grabs her and whips her across the ring. She bounces off and Raab scoops her up, but Meghan spins through. Raab turns around and Meghan kicks in the ribs before planting him with the Two for the Show. Raab rolls over. Meghan gets up and moves to the corner. She exits to the apron and then climbs up to the top rope. She looks at Raab and dives off with the Fatality. The crowd ohs. She turns and goes for the pin.

Meghan gets her shoulder up and rolls over. Meghan stirs and gets up and Raab grabs her from behind, going for a German suplex. Meghan however blocks it and elbows him in the jaw once and then again. Raab staggers back as Meghan runs into the ropes, bouncing off and runs at Raab before hitting a diving forearm smash to the jaw. She slowly rolls over.

Sharper: “And a diving forearm to the jaw of Raab. That gives Meghan an opportunity to put him away and…”

Knots: “The gears are turning for Meghan Strader!”

She starts to stir as suddenly, we cut backstage. We see Tamika Strader talking to Veronica Strader while Cara Strader and Tearra Skye listen. Their motorcycles are off to the side. We then see Billy Heaven Jr. walking into the scene and he has a huge smile on his face.

Billy: “Oh hell yeah. Thank ya God. Syren is real freaky I see! F-R-E-A-K-Y!”

Knots: “Oh Billy…Ravyn just set you up!”

Billy walks up to the Cowgirls from Hell as they all look at one another. Billy walks up behind Tearra Skye and eyes her.

Billy: “Some tall drinks of water in here and between the cake we’ll be eating, we’ll be full for days! And don’t worry, BHJ here has the entertainment covered.”

Billy looks around.

Billy: “Just waiting for Syren and Ravyn-“:

Tamika: “Syren? Ravyn? You think we’re with them?”

Veronica: “I think we need to clarify something.”

Tearra then turns and nails Billy with a forearm shot and then another before Cara, Veronica and Tamika do the same. They all pummel Billy, knocking him down. He rolls over as Cara and Veronica then start to stomp away on him as Tamika oversees it.

Tamika: “You think we’d be caught dead with her? We’ve been making her Meghan’s stepping stone!”

The camera then turns as we see Ravyn Taylor and Syren with Lexy Chapel behind giggling. Ravyn and Syren have a bucket of a liquid, dying hot pink, and they then dump it all over one of the bikes.

Sharper: “Syren and Ravyn vandalizing and damaging Meghan Strader’s motorcycle!”

Cara: “Hey!”

Tamika: “Oh you done screwed up!”

Tearra: “Jesus that’s Meghan’s ride!”

Syren gets ready to fight, but Ravyn then takes the bucket and swings it at the Cowgirls before Syren steps forward. Lexy Chapel tries to stop her, but Syren then steps up and nails Tearra with a hard right, causing her to fall over as Ravyn then kicks the bike over. Syren then swings and nails Cara with a shot and then another before Tamika and Veronica head over. Lexy again grabs at Syren, trying to pull her back, before suddenly, from out of nowhere, we see Clyde Sutter step up and boot Syren in the side of the head.

Sharper: “Hey! Where did he come from?!”

Knots: “Sutter! Guess fate smiled upon him!”

Syren goes down as Ravyn turns only for Tamika and Veronica to push her back to the wall, Tamika with her forearm along the throat of Ravyn. Sutter then looks at Syren as Tearra and Cara get up and look at Sutter.

Sutter: “Ladies…all yours.”

Lexy tries to pull Syren back, but Cara and Tearra run over as we then see officials running into the scene. Sutter calmly exits and the camera turns to show Melinda overseeing his involvement as they walk off. Tamika is pulled off of Ravyn as Veronica glares at her. Tearra and Cara are backed off from Syren as Ravyn heads over to Syren. Tamika and Cara turn to the bike.

Sharper: “Ravyn Taylor and Syren were going to continue the war, but Sutter!”

Knots: “I don’t think he was with the Cowgirls. They were as stunned as we were!”

Sharper: “So he just decided to get involve? And there?”

Tamika then looks at the bike, shaking her head. Back in the ring, Meghan just shakes her head before Raab takes her over with a German suplex into a bridge.

Meghan just gets her shoulder up. Raab gets up and then turns and grabs her and pulls her up. Raab then nails pushes her into the ropes and then whips her across. She bounces off and Raab then handsprings into the ropes and then goes for the Fire Storm, but Meghan suddenly sidesteps and Raab spins around before walking into Meghan who catches him and hits the Blackened. Meghan then rolls him over and goes for the pin.

Sharper: “Meghan got the Blackened. Fuelled by that irritation!”

3!

The bell sounds. Meghan rolls off. She then gets up and winces before getting to her feet.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Meghan Strader!”

Sharper: “Strader winning this match.”

Knots: “If that was to distract her, it didn’t work. Ravyn’s either lost a step or…”

Sharper: “You said it. There must be more. I can’t see Ravyn putting Syren up to that. She thought there was more too. She was going to fight the Cowgirls!”

Raab rolls over in pain as Meghan Strader exits the ring and Mackenzie joins her. They head up the rampway and start to head to the back. The cameras follow them as they walk up the ramp and through the curtain. A few moments pass before we cut backstage.

Backstage, we see Syren stopping Lexy Chapel just outside of their locker room. Ravyn then walks over.

Syren: “Sutter…we finally were going to take it to them and-“

Ravyn: “That’s an oversight on my part.”

Lexy: “Ya think! Syren could’ve been injured…or killed!”

Ravyn: “She wouldn’t have been killed-“

Lexy: “You had Syren fight a gang! They just patched in a member out there!”

Ravyn: “Relax…relax.”

Syren: “What were we doing?”

Ravyn: “Either way…Billy Heaven Jr. certainly will be a fun rest of the night.”

Syren: “Billy? Wait…”

Ravyn: “Yeah, Billy. Been texting him all night. He’s the one that had that thirsty video of you a few weeks ago.”

Syren: “Wait! You gave him your number?!”

Ravyn: “I gave him a number to a phone I own…and I can also see where he is!”

Ravyn smiles.

Syren: “So this was to mess with Billy, not the Straders. So that’s why the oversight…I know Meghan was out there for her match. I thought-“

Ravyn: “Oh I was trying to serve a couple of purposes. Either way, that was a foolish oversight. Perhaps I’m losing my touch…”

Lexy: “You better not!”

Ravyn smirks.

Syren: “I’d be willing to joke if we didn’t nearly avoid getting beatdown. Three weeks now…Three weeks they’ve had it over me. They cost me two matches and they’ve questioned me. Everyone is questioning me and…”

Ravyn: “Zoe…do you trust me?”

Syren: “Of course.”

Lexy: “No….”

Lexy whispers behind Syren. Syren and Ravyn look at her.

Ravyn: “Then…tonight, it was only one battle. Wars are not won in one fight as Sun Tzu would say. We gained information. And I got to have some fun with Billy…which by the way…”

Ravyn pulls out a phone and starts to text something.

Ravyn: “Meghan claims to be a tactician…let’s see her response. By the way, Zoe, you’ll be in action next week.”

Lexy: “So the Straders can attack again?”

Ravyn looks at Lexy as Syren looks at both and then nods. Ravyn then sends a text on her phone as the scene cuts away.

Breakdown returns as we see Meghan Strader arriving at the scene backstage where her motorcycle has been covered by a hot pink liquid. She then looks at it and then scans it. Tamika Strader looks at her.

Tamika: “We fell for the bait.”

Meghan: “Given what I’ve heard of him and what I said, he also deserved as ass-whooping…but this is the best Syren can do? Threatens to go to war and does this…”

Tamika: “She came to fight. She also came to piss you off…”

Veronica walks over as Tamika and Meghan look at the bike.

Veronica: “They made sure to put some damage on it too…”

Meghan: “You don’t mess with a biker’s bike. If I needed more reason to remove Syren as an obstacle as I aim for the World Title…”

Meghan then walks past the bike as we cut back to the ringside area.

Adam Sharper and Jonathan Knots are at the announce position.

Sharper: “The Cowgirls from Hell getting the same result we figured. They may have taken one bait, but they’re not going to take the next bit.”

Knots: “And they clearly figured out Ravyn Taylor had something else in mind. Syren was ready to fight. They caught that it didn’t make sense.”

Sharper: “Either way, Meghan Strader not happy and just another layer to this growing rivalry between Syren and Strader. Meanwhile, still to come tonight, Chris Dumont will face Waylon Creek and we’re wondering what security will be like. William Heaven will be at ringside.”

Knots: “He has every tight to be. A recognized manager. He has the right to be there.”

Sharper: “We will see what-“

???: “Dexter Grant!”

The crowd roars as a booming voice can be heard echoing throughout the arena. The fans start to look around before we see a black mist start to billow out from the stage and under the ring.

Veil: “I have been watching you….”

The crowd roars as the cameras continue to pan the arena.

Sharper: “That’s Veil!”

Knots: “How do you know?”

Sharper: “I’m guessing. It sounds like the Enigma as we’ve heard him. But we’ve not heard this new evolution speak…”

Veil: “You don’t wish fanfare. That’s not going to be a problem because I do not crave it. Instead, all that will follow are the legends and myths that will expand after I dismantle you at Taking Hold of the Flame.”

The crowd roars.

Veil: “Your crusade matters nothing to me, Dexter. All that matters is that my message is heard. And people think twice before testing something that cannot even begin to comprehend!”

Veil’s voice echoes as the crowd cheers again.

Veil: “If you are lucky, you will keep your voice to continue on. But as for the Adrenaline Championship…while the physical means nothing, the symbolic value is superior. Kirsten Scott tested me. And I will take what she wanted as a final insult.”

A hum starts to be heard through the arena as Veil pauses again.

Veil: “I’ll be waiting at Taking Hold of the Flame, Dexter.”

The voice booms again as the fans keep looking around. The humming starts to grow in volume for a few moments longer before then abruptly cutting out. The crowd roars a bit.

The Breakdown logo comes up on the screen as we see a shot of Chris Dumont vs. Waylon Creek as “Psycho in my Head” plays in the background.

Sharper: “Well folks, from that chilling message, I don’t know what to expect next. Dumont faces Creek! One on one in our main event! Next!”

The scene fades out.

Chris Dumont vs. Waylon Creek

The sound and image of a babbling brook overtake the PA and screen. Shortly after, a man dressed in a suit flickers onto the screen, standing in the middle of the creek, facing away from the camera. The video suddenly flickers as a spiderweb starts to form in the video, before flickering back to Creek’s entrance video. “Mountain Banjo” by Rhiannon Giddens comes over the system, and from hehind curtain emerges a muscular figure in a skull mask, adorned by torn up flannels, being led by a black lab on a leash. William Heaven walks out with him.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall with TV time remaining and is your main event of the evening. First, on his way to the ring, accompanied by William Heaven and representing the Fall of Man, he is from Good Grief, Idaho, and is one half of the SCW World Tag Team Champions, he is Waylon Creek!”

The dog leads the way as Waylon Creek follows close behind, looking around the arena. He hands the dog off to a stagehand when he gets to the ring and appears to say something to the dog. The dog sits calmly as Creek enters the ring up the steps. He calmly goes to his corner without any posing. William Heaven goes to Creek’s corner and looks at the entrance way.

Sharper: “And of course William Heaven is out here.”

Knots: “Who wouldn’t he be? He’s the manager!”

Sharper: “Has a restraining order on Waylon’s opponent and is out here. Clearly fearing him, huh?”

Knots: “He’s not going to let Dumont determine how he manages. CHBK is the one who made this match. He knew of the order!”

“Wild Thing” by X plays as the crowd roars. A few moments pass before “Ronin” Chris Dumont walks out from the back. Joining him are David Striker, Kyle Gibson and Irvine. Dumont looks down at the ring and just glares at Waylon Creek and then to William Heaven.

Phillips: “And his opponent, accompanied by the Phantom Troupe, from New Orleans, Louisiana, he is Ronin, Chris Dumont!”

Dumont then starts to head to the ring. He walks with purpose as Striker smirks and follows a few strides from behind. Gibson and Irvine follow too. Dumont storms to the ring and looks at it and then rushes down before sliding in. Gibson, Irvine and Striker stop at the end of the rampway as Dumont gets up and Creek steps up. The crowd roars as senior official Aaron Demitra calls for the bell to start the match. The bell sounds.

Sharper: “And Dumont going right for Creek!”

Knots: “Keep him back! I think he’s too close!”

Dumont steps up and immediately throws a hard right at Creek. The crowd roars as Dumont nails him again and again and again before then going to go for a double-leg takedown. Heaven looks around before we see SCW officials heading down from the back. Striker, Gibson and Irvine watch smirking as Creek spins around with Dumont, partially blocking it, only for Dumont to then start to go for the arm and Creek turns and moves to the ropes. He leans in them as Dumont keeps trying to go for the arm.

Creek hits a headbutt and rolls to the apron. Dumont rolls away. He then gets up and runs at Creek and grabs his right arm again and starts to pull it into the ring. He kicks the wrist once and then again as officials come to the ring. Heaven smirks as we see the officials coming over to Striker, Gibson, and Irvine. Dumont turns and looks at them.

Sharper: “Dumont going for the arm of Creek! The same arm that he locks the Canary on with!”

Knots: “And security…SCW officials…get the Troupe out of here. Are they managers? Or are they just a gang?!”

Sharper: “Stop it. They’re here to keep it even if Fall of Man gets involved.”

Knots: “Why can’t they just trust they’ll do it outright. Wait in the back then if you’re concerned!”

Dumont then turns back as Striker looks at Heaven as Heaven continues to smirk. Striker just flips him off as the crowd roars. Striker turns and storms to the back. Irvine and Gibson follow as Dumont runs over and forearms Creek in the jaw as he is in the corner before nailing him over and over and over again with hard forearm shots to the jaw, pinning Creek in the corner.

Creek then nails Dumont in the ribs with a hard right and then another. Dumont stumbles back and spins around and Creek runs out and drills him with a hard clothesline. Dumont hits the mat. The cameras then cut to show the rest of the Troupe being moved to the back. Dean Black then walks out and makes sure they go before then staying on the stage.

Sharper: “Dean Black now out. The senior road agent and CHBK’s right hand man.”

Knots: “Keep everyone out. Creek can hand Dumont!”

Sharper: “Wasn’t until he got those shots in. Dumont is as driven as we’ve seen him and he’s already bent the rules a few times.”

Creek turns and grabs Dumont as Heaven watches him, standing back a bit as Creek then runs Dumont face first into the corner opposite Heaven, intentionally putting distance between them. Creek then leans in and nails him with a hard right and then another, hammering away on the head of Dumont as Dumont slides down from the shots to a seated position.

Dumont kicks out and rolls over. He smacks the mat and starts to get up. Creek then heads over to him and reaches around to grab him, but Dumont bites his arm. Creek pulls away and looks at his arm before turning around as Dumont then hits a Code Zero. Creek staggers and Dumont then tackles him down, towards Heaven. He then looks right up at Heaven before nailing Creek with a repeated right hands, hammering away on him with huge overhead rights. Demitra tells him to get off, but Dumont keeps drilling him with shots after shot.

Sharper: “And again, Dumont trying to just pummel Creek. We’ve not seen someone take it to Creek like this…since…well, Xander Valentine!”

Knots: “That was more power too. But Dumont going for the strikes and probably just running on pure idiotic anger at William Heaven. Just because no one believed in you like he believed in the Fall of Man. Get over it!”

Dumont gets up and walks towards the corner. Dean Black starts to head to the ring as Heaven points and tells him to get back.

Heaven: “Ref! Do your job! He should be cuffed right now!”

Dumont then turns and grabs Creek and drags him up and hits another Code Zero. Creek falls to a knee. Dumont then runs into the ropes and bounces off, but Creek suddenly hoists him up over his head. The crowd erupts and Creek then turns and moves to the opposite side of the ring and just throws Dumont over the top rope with a military press slam. Dumont lands on the floor with a thud and rolls over. The crowd ohs. Black stops and heads over to check on Dumont as Demitra does the same.

Heaven: “Screw him! Screw the damn criminal! Count him out!”

Dumont rolls over, grimacing in pain and then shoves Black off as Demitra then turns and moves back to the ring. As he does, Creek steps through the ropes and down to the floor. Black backs up and starts to head around the ring. Creek then grabs Dumont and just violently spins him around and throws him hard into the barricade. The crowd ohs as Dumont rolls over in pain. He then slowly gets up and Creek grabs him and lifts him up onto his shoulder and then goes to run him into the ringpost, but Dumont slides down behind him and shoves Creek into the ringpost. Heaven starts to walk over and Black then grabs him and starts to pull him around.

Heaven: “Get your hands off me!”

Black: “I’m making sure you keep your distance! You want to be out here. Fine. I’ll make sure you don’t get touched!”

Black pulls him back as Heaven looks at Black.

Heaven: “This CHBK’s idea? Huh?”

Black ignores him as we see Dumont grab some of the camera cords and wraps them around the throat of Creek. Demitra now starts to count. (1) He starts to choke Creek as Creek leans on the announce table and Dumont pulls back.(2) Creek falls to a knee and then goes down as Dumont pulls him down. He then gets up and looks at Knots as Knots leans back. (3)

Knots: “Get back in the ring!”

Dumont just looks at Knots and steps towards him.(4) Black starts to walk around the ring, leaving Heaven as Heaven backs up. The camera next to Heaven picks him up yelling.

Heaven: “The young man appears to have some sort of anger problem!”

Black turns back to him as Dumont grabs Creek. (5) Creek however then elbows him in the jaw and then bends him over and hoists him up in a pumphandle to only to fall back, driving Dumont chest and face first into the announce table. The crowd ohs. (6) Creek rolls over and gets up. He touches his throat briefly before grabbing Dumont and spinning him into the ring. (7) Dumont rolls over as Creek slides in after. Dumont stirs and Creek pumphandles him again. He then hoists him up and hits a pumphandle slam. He then folds up Dumont.

Dumont kicks out. Creek looks down at Dumont before then grabbing him by the head.

Heaven: “Finish him off for good. Send him Aisling!”

Creek drags Dumont up.

Knots: “Heaven giving Creek some interesting ideas!”

Sharper: “Easy for him to say that hiding behind a restraining order!”

Creek then whips Dumont into the corner. He then runs after him, but Dumont suddenly gets his knee up. Creek staggers and Dumont then hits a palm strike. Creek drops and Dumont grabs his right arm and then his left arm before stomping Creek in the chest over and over and over again. Dumont keeps going at it as Creek can’t cover up. Dumont gets more shots in as Creek manages to move to the ropes. This leads Demitra to count.

Dumont then kicks him in the head. Dumont staggers back as Creek leans back against the bottom rope. Heaven looks concerned as Dumont then runs across the ring and runs at Creek and lunges at him throwing his body at Creek in a crossbody against the bottom rope. Dumont rolls off as Creek rolls over. He then starts to get up and Dumont grabs his arm and wrenches them. He goes for the Code Zero Championship Edition, but Creek pulls him in early and into a headbutt. Dumont staggers as Creek runs across the ring, bouncing off and drills Dumont with a vicious spear.

Sharper: “And Creek just ran over Dumont!”

Knots: “You came full of piss and vinegar Dumont. But you forgot you’re in there with the future of the sport!”

Heaven smiles as Creek then grabs Dumont and drags him up before hooking him by the head.

Sharper: “And no! No!”

Knots: “Here are the Consequences!”

Creek hoists him up and turns before spiking him with the Consequences. Creek then leans over and covers him, pulling back on Dumont’s leg.

The bell sounds. Creek pushes off from Dumont and slowly gets up. Demitra goes to raise his arm, but Creek pulls away.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Waylon Creek!”

Sharper: “And still only with one one on one loss to his name. Waylon Creek survives the onslaught from Dumont.”

Knots: “Look, Chris, you got a bright future. But you’re going to cut it short by going after the Fall of Man time and time again! Back off! And go elsewhere! Maybe the Underground or the TV Title!”

Creek looks at Heaven as Heaven nods. Creek then walks over to the ropes and steps through the ropes. He hops down to Heaven. Heaven then turns to Black and says something to him. He then walks past as Creek walks past him too. Black turns as Demitra checks on Dumont. Black then pulls himself onto the apron and into the ring. Heaven heads to the back with Waylon Creek. The two calmly head to the back.

Sharper: “Waylon Creek making a statement nonetheless that he is still on his game.”

Knots: “Xander…you have to deal with him that wants revenge. You gave Giovanni his reason tonight. And you’ve never beaten James.”

Sharper: “But in Thunderdome all is possible and cracks showed tonight.”

Creek and Heaven walk over to the stage and Heaven then points at Creek, doing one last sell job before heading through the curtain. Dumont stirs as Black and Demitra check on him. We then see Striker, Irvine and Gibson walking out on the floor and then over to the rampway, climbing up onto it and heading to the ring. Striker jogs down and slides into the ring. He then heads over to Dumont and checks on him. Irvine and Gibson enter the ring and the camera turns to them briefly before we cut back to the middle of the ring to see David Striker shoving Dean Black back. Striker steps up and gets into Black’s face as Black snaps back at him.

Sharper: “And Striker now going after Dean Black?!”

Knots: “Tempers flaring! Gotta love it!”

Sharper: “Watch it! Watch it!”

Striker keeps getting in Black’s face as Irvine tries to stop him as the scene fades to black…
