“Hope It Hurts” by Plush plays as the Retribution logo comes up on the screen.

“Supreme Championship Wrestling presents…Retribution 2024!”

The logo remains on the screen for a few moments before we cut to the inside of State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona as the crowd erupts and pyro shoots out from the stage and high into the air. After several moments, the pyro display ends as spotlights circle around the stadium. Fans cheer and mug for the camera, hoping to get on. The cameras continue to pan the crowd for several moments.

Sharper: “We are in Glendale, Arizona for Retribution where we will be capped off by a Rise to Greatness XX rematch for the World Title!”

The cameras continues to pan through the crowd before we cut to ringside where Adam Sharper and Jonathan Knots stand next to the ring.

Sharper: “Adam Sharper here with Jonathan Knots at ringside. Jon, big night. And none bigger than for Selena Frost and Kandis.”

Knots: “Rematch from Rise to Greatness. Kandis won last time. Selena Frost has a new attitude. Kandis is chomping at the bit. They couldn’t touch until that bell sounds tonight. And trust me, it’s going to be wild.”

Sharper: “Not only that, triple threat for the World Tag Team Championship. It’s all going to be solved tonight. All or nothing. It ends. These three teams have been linked for months. Twisted & Sadistic, Light in the Darkness, Dark Fantasy. One team walks out champion. The others need to claw back up.”

Knots: “And then Adrenaline Title. Bree Lancaster will defend against Autumn Valentine. That’s in a few moments. But also, Simon Lyman, Adam Brock, ladder match to find out who is next in line.”

Sharper: “Big night tonight in Retribution. What’s going to happen? Let’s go to the ring.”

Autumn Valentine vs. Bree Lancaster

SCW Adrenaline Championship

A woman’s voice can be heard as the video screens display the words she's saying in unison.

"Lexy Chapel Proudly Presents"

"YOUR SOON TO BE NEW…ADRENALINE CHAMPION"

"AUTUMN VALENTINE"

“Miss Nothing” by The Pretty Reckless hits the PA system as Autumn Valentine walks out onto the stage wearing a black jacket. Across her ring-gear we see the ‘Lexy Chapel Presents’ and ‘Chapel Show’ branding. She pauses on the stage for a moment before being joined by Lexy Chapel who starts pointing at her and yelling at the fans to cheer for her. Around Lexy’s neck we see a lanyard which appears to be a manager’s license.

Phillips: “This opening contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the SCW Adrenaline Championship! Introducing, hailing from Los Angeles, California, accompanied, and PROUDLY represented, by Lexy Chapel, this is AUTUMN VALENTINE!”

Autumn walks to the ring accompanied by Lexy. She skips up to the apron and jumps up before sliding off her jacket and letting it fall to the floor. She then runs at the turnbuckles, climbing up and throwing up her arms before looking to the camera confidently. She jumps from the outside of the ropes to inside of the ring, rolling back to her feet before walking the middle of the ring and dropping down into the splits. Lexy walks behind her, pointing down at her and still trying to get the fans to support her. Lexy holds a hand down to pull Autumn back to her feet as Autumn walks to the corner, as the music fades out.

The lights dim, only a few small ones on the stage as the voice of Bree Lancaster whispers:

“I am the light of the truth
The one who sees right through”

A guitar riff plays as the small lights dance around the stage, then suddenly stop, as one large beam shines down onto the figure of Bree herself.

“Spotlight”

The smaller lights begin again swirling as the music of “Spotlight” by Fozzy kicks in and Bree makes her way down the ramp, with the SCW Adrenaline Championship around her waist.

[I am the light of the truth, The one who sees right through
I know your every move, I got my eye on you
Go on and bury it down, I follow you 'til it's out
I got my eye on you, I got my eye on you]

Bree smiles at the front row fans as she gets to the ring and goes up the steps, stepping through the ropes. She goes to a corner and gets on the second turnbuckle, posing with one hand up overhead. The crowd cheers.

Phillips: “And her opponent, hailing from New Orleans, Louisiana! She is the reigning, and defending, SCW Adrenaline Champion! She is…Bree! Lancaster!”

[You're the wicked, I'm a sharp knife
Shining on you like a spotlight
I'm a witness, I'm a dark night]

The lights go down, and one beam shines on Bree in the corner, as she then removes the Adrenaline title and lifts it up as well.

[You're a sickness, I'm your spotlight]

The lights come up and Bree drapes the title over her shoulder before she hops down as the music fades out. Bree gets to her corner and looks around before the referee takes the title. The ref holds the title up in the center of the ring before going over and handing it to the timekeeper. The cameras show Autumn then Bree before the ref is shown signaling for the bell.

Sharper: “Opening match as SCW presents Retribution! And what a match-up it should be. Adrenaline Championship. The champion, Bree Lancaster, defending against Autumn Valentine.”

Knots: “Bree won the title at Body, Heart, and Soul, in a match that involved Autumn and former champion, Adam Allocco. Adam is no longer in the picture, but Autumn is still here.”

With the bell ringing, Autumn and Bree step out of their corners, going straight to the center of the ring. Autumn and Bree are shown jawing with one another.

Sharper: “A little trash talking it seems.”

Knots: “That’ll get the adrenaline pumping, don’t you agree?”

Autumn pushes Bree. Bree stumbles a bit before regaining her balance, which she follows up with a right forearm to the side of the head. Autumn turns before coming back with her own forearm. Bree lands a second forearm. Autumn hits her own. Bree hits a third. Autumn goes for a third forearm, only for Bree to block it, and hit a fourth forearm, followed by a fifth.

Bree then grabs Autumn by the wrist and whips her into the ropes. Autumn bounces off and Bree leaps up, connecting with a dropkick to the face. Autumn hits the mat. Autumn pushes herself up to one knee, as Bree steps to the side and connects with a kick to the left arm. Bree hits a second before reaching down and grabbing the arm, twisting it as she pulls Autumn up to her feet. Bree then drives her elbow in the arm before shoving Autumn forward.

Sharper: “Bree showing shades of her new mentor, Josh Hudson, targeting a body part.”

Bree hooks Autumn by the waist before lifting her up and taking her down with a belly to back suplex. Bree then goes for the cover.

Knots: “Can we get a shot of Lexy please? I’m sure she’s already having a panic attack!”

Sharper: “Bree dominating the early goings of this match, getting a quick two count.”

Bree gets to her feet, pulling Autumn with her, only for Autumn to fire away with a European uppercut. Bree staggers back as Autumn charges, only for Bree to catch her and plant Autumn with a T-Bone suplex. The crowd cheers!

Sharper: “Autumn tried to gain some momentum, only for the champion to use it against her.”

Autumn gets to her feet only for Bree to take her down with another belly to back suplex. Bree goes for another cover.

Autumn kicks out once again.

Sharper: “Bree getting another two count.”

Bree picks Autumn up from the mat. She hits a knife edge chop. Autumn stumbles back, before Bree whips her into the corner. Bree then charges, only for Autumn to dive out of the way at the last second. Bree hits the corner hard and staggers back just as Autumn rolls her up from behind.

Bree kicks out.

Autumn gets to her feet just as Bree does, but Autumn connects with a roundhouse kick to the side of the head. Bree looks stunned before she falls into the ropes.

Knots: “Autumn with that kick to the side of the head, using her leg power to her advantage. Let’s see if she can sustain some momentum finally.”

Bree comes off the ropes, and Autumn hits another kick to the side of the head, then a kick to the abdomen. Bree doubles over before Autumn hooks her and takes Bree down with a snap suplex. Autumn goes for another cover.

Bree kicks out!

Sharper: “The challenger gaining the advantage, but the champion is still in this thing, kicking out at two.”

Bree pushes herself up to her knees, as Autumn steps up and kicks her in the chest. Autumn fires away with a second kick to the chest, then a third, before hitting a fourth and a fifth. Lexy is then shown on the outside, cheering earning boos from the crowd.

Knots: “Listen to this crowd. Showing their support.”

Autumn pulls Bree to her feet, hitting a knife edge chop before she goes to whip her into the ropes, but Bree manages to stop it. Bree hits a roundhouse kick of her own, connecting with the left arm. Autumn steps away, holding her arm. Bree stomps over, grabbing the left arm, twisting it before hitting three straight elbows to the arm. Bree then pulls Autumn close, draping the arm over her shoulder before Bree drops down, snapping Autumn’s arm over her shoulder. Autumn falls back clutching her left arm as Bree is shown pulling herself up using the ropes.

Sharper: “Bree managing to stop Autumn’s momentum, going after that left arm once again, doing further damage.”

Bree goes over and grabs Autumn, but Autumn hits a spinning back fist, stunning Bree. Autumn connects with her right forearm, backing Bree into the ropes. She goes to whip Bree across the ring, but Bree reverses, driving her knee into Autumn’s abdomen. Bree then takes the left arm, flips Autumn onto the mat before dropping down, locking in a cross armbreaker.

Knots: “Oh my! Bree’s got the Tangled Web armbreaker locked in.”

Autumn is shown reaching out to the ropes as Bree pulls back on the left arm.

Sharper: “The challenger in trouble!”

Lexy is shown reaching under the bottom rope, pulling at Autumn before Lexy gets onto the apron and begins to climb into the ring. The ref, who is checking on Autumn, gets up and confronts Lexy. Bree glares and breaks the hold before she steps in front of the referee and shoves Lexy.

The ref gets in the middle of Bree and Lexy, before Autumn manages to club Bree in the back of the head. Autumn clutches at her left arm before Bree turns around. Autumn hits a step enziguri, stunning Bree once again. Autumn hits a kick to the head before she charges and takes Bree down with a springboard tornado DDT. Autumn hooks the leg.

Sharper: “The distraction from Lexy seems to have turned the tide!”

2!

Bree shoots the shoulder up!

Sharper: “Bree kicking out at two!”

Autumn gets to her feet as Bree is shown using the ropes to get to hers. Bree turns and Autumn kicks her in the midsection then hooks Bree and plants her with the Pink Whisper! Autumn hooks the leg as Lexy is shown cheering on the outside once again.

Knots: “Using the move she adopted from Christy Matthews, Autumn hits the Pink Whisper DDT. Will it be enough to capture the Adrenaline title?”

1!

Sharper: “We may have a new champion…”

2!

3….NO!!!

Sharper: “Bree kicked out just in the nick of time! Bree still has some fight in her!”

Autumn glares at the referee, saying it was three, but the ref says no. Lexy can be seen shaking her head and she can be heard screaming.

Knots: “Something tells me Lexy isn’t happy.”

Autumn gets to her feet before climbing onto the ring apron, glaring at Bree, who is slowly getting up.

Sharper: “Autumn on the outside. You know she’s thinking about going for the AVW Lariat.”

Knots: “That could seal the deal.”

Bree gets to her feet and turns, just as Autumn flips over the top rope. She goes for the lariat but Bree dunks under. Autumn stumbles forward due to her momentum. Bree steps forward, connecting with a superkick in between Autumn’s shoulder blades. Autumn drops to one knee.

Sharper: “Autumn missed the lariat and Bree able to capitalize, connecting with what she calls Priceless!”

Bree stomps over, grabs Autumn’s left arm before stepping through and locking in the cross armbreaker.

Knots: “Bree has Autumn in her Tangled Web yet again!”

The ref begins checking on Autumn who is yelling in pain and reaching for the ropes. Bree pulls back, applying more pressure. Lexy is shown reaching out to Autumn once again.

Sharper: “Bree has gone after the left arm throughout this entire match. No telling how much damage has been done to it. Autumn may have no other choice but to tap.”

The ref checks again, but Autumn shakes her head no. Lexy can be heard trying to motivate Autumn.

Lexy: “TAKE IT! YOU GOT THIS! YOU CAN DO THIS!”

Bree pulls back more. The ref checks again and Autumn finally taps. Lexy is shown slamming her fists down on the apron as the ref calls for the bell and the crowd cheers loudly.

Phillips: “Here is your winner and STILLL…..SCW Adrenaline Champion…BREE! LANCASTER!!!”

Bree breaks the hold and pushes herself to her feet. The ref meets her with the Adrenaline title. Bree lifts it high above her head as “Spotlight” blares through the arena. The cameras show Lexy sitting next to Autumn on the outside. Autumn is clutching her left arm, looking distraught before the cameras shift back to Bree, celebrating in the ring once more before we cut away.

Sharper: “Big congratulations to Bree Lancaster. Autumn Valentine and Lexy Chapel beside themselves.”

Knots: “We’re going to hear about that for months!”

Sharper: “Bree still Adrenaline Champion. First big moment of the night. But we may be about to see another. A few weeks ago on Breakdown, Kaori Ishikawa and Cosmic Tora Onna met. CTO won and Kaori, so angry, offered to put her SCW contract on the line. Earlier today, both met with CHBK and this was agreed to.”

EARLIER TODAY:

The Retribution PPV has been anticipated by fans across the world, and with that said the cameras show find themselves backstage. But more importantly than that, the office of one CHBK. He is sat at his desk, sitting opposite him is Cosmic Tora Onna and Kaoiri Ishikawa with her translator. The two are dressed in casual clothes, only difference being CTO is wearing her tiger mask which is pink this evening. The tension in the room is there for all to see as Kaori glares at CTO. CHBK leans against his desk and looks to both women…

CHBK: “Ladies, you understand what is going to happen tonight if you go through with this don’t you. Your client understands that once I approve this, her current contract which she signed a few weeks ago would be null and void.”

The translator for Kaori reiterates what CHBK says, and she responds in kind to him in Japanese.

Translator: “Yes, Miss Ishikawa accepts full responsibility. She believes if she cannot beat this thing before her, then she does not deserve to be here. Her honor was disgraced and…”

CTO: “That was not my intention! I wanted to just win as did she…”

CHBK: “I see… And Miss Tora? Are you aware of what’s at stake here?”

She nods.

CTO: “Yes Mr. K, I understand what is at stake. I agreed to her challenge, I will face her tonight. I apologize for not getting back to you sooner. I had other matters to attend to.”

CHBK nods in agreement.

CHBK: “Okay, under normal circumstances I wouldn’t allow it but this is what you asked for… And I don’t want to be known as the man who would deny you or the fans of this. I wish you both the best of luck.”

Both women bow towards CHBK respectfully…

CHBK: “However I want you to know there will be a contract at ringside that will need a signature on it. Who ever signs it will be the newest member of SCW. Understand?”

Both women nod, Kaori after the translator explains it. She glares at CTO who looks away coyly before standing up and walking off to her locker-room talking in Japanese to the translator who nods at every word... CHBK motions to the door for CTO who stands and as she makes her way, the sound of a knock is heard. CTO looks up as does CHBK, the camera turns to show a familiar face, one SCW hasn’t seen for a while. They are dressed in a three-piece suit looking as dapper as he had ever been before… It is Chris Cannon. The moment he is seen the SCW fans who are in attendance roar loudly.

CHBK: “Oh, Chris… I wasn’t expecting you today.”

Cannon: “I was in the area; I hope you don’t mind me dropping in like this. I wanted to know if we could have that talk now?”

CHBK: “Of course, I can spare a few minutes…”

CTO watches as Cannon walks into the room and she leaves only to turn as if to eavesdrop on the conversation however the door shuts with the final image being both men shaking hands. The Retribution logo comes up on the screen.

We return to a live shot.

Knots: “Wow, Chris Cannon is here and he’s talking to CHBK. You think he’s going to finally resign with SCW?”

Sharper: “Well, it would be a boon if he did that is for sure.”

Knots: “Well, what else is there to say other than Retribution just got interesting to say the least! And we’re going to have ourselves a match next where the winner gets to become an SCW Roster member!”

Cosmic Tora Onna vs. Kaori Ishikawa

The opening to Crossing Fields by LiSa starts to play on the stage as a spotlight shine down onto the ring at first. The big screen begins to open to the image of a mountain side with a large moon now beginning to rise. As it does the same spotlight begins to slowly move from the ring to the stage and stops dead center. Standing there is Kaori Ishikawa with her arms extended as if basking in the moonlight. Once her eyes open the arena’s lights come back on to boos from the crowd.

Phillips: “Ladies and Gentlemen, hailing from Kyoto, Japan… She is the Silver Lotus… KAORI ISHIKAWA!!”

Kaori begins to walk down towards the ring as the music continues. A confident stride as she looks at the ring ahead of her. A focus in her eyes. Kaori reaches the bottom of the ramp and stops to look around at the fans before removing her robe and allowing it to fall to the ground which captures more fans booing. The camera returns to Ishikawa who walks around the ring with a smile and a few nods to the crowd enjoying their reaction. She leaps onto the apron and quickly steps in and walks to the middle only to extend her arms once again to more boo’s from the crowd.

Sharper: “The fans tonight telling Kaori just what they think about her, and she is enjoying it.”

Knots: “A far cry from the woman who debuted on the fifteenth of February. She of course blames the woman she is about to face.”

All eyes divert their attention to the stage as the opening to Megitsune by Baby Metal hits over the P.A System… Soon as the lyrics and guitar kick in the curtain busts open and CTO, Cosmic Tora Onna leaps out with an excited hop on one foot than the next before throwing her arms up into the air which gets a roar from the crowd currently in attendance.

Phillips; “Ladies and Gentlemen, hailing from the deep reaches of space. Weighing in at one-hundred and eight earth pounds, she is Cosmic Tora Onna!!”

The crowd cheers again as Cosmic Tora Onna skips down the ramp clapping hands with the fans in the front row. She stops and sprints to dive into the ring via the bottom rope but as she does get through the ropes, Kaori Ishikawa sprints across the ring and intercepts her with a boot to the head which gets an “Oooh” from the crowd, and then a series of boo’s as CTO hangs over the bottom rope…

Sharper: “Oh god, what the hell. Let the woman get into the ring, Christ!!”

Knots: “Kaori isn’t going to waste time waiting for her to prance about, her contract is on the line. CTO should have suspected this; I know I did!!”

Ishikawa grabs CTO by the mask and drags her to the middle of the ring before mounting and firing off right hand shots as a bell sound trying to get her attention. The official tries to interject also as the SCW crowd boos even louder than before. Kaori Ishikawa finally steps away and walks to a corner seething while the official checks on CTO.

Knots: “Ishikawa knows what is at stake Adam, it’s a smart tactic on her part. She underestimated Cosmic Tora Onna in her debut, she isn’t about to make the same mistake twice.”

Sharper: “I know, I guess I’m just old school.”

Back in the ring CTO Is on her feet and leaning in the opposite corner with the official checking on her. He asks if she is okay to continue and she nods while readjusting her mask. The official turns and calls for the bell and immediately Ishikawa charges out of her corner going on the attack, she looks for a running clothesline into the corner, but CTO moves out of the way and after the impact, she tries to roll her up with a schoolgirl.

Sharper: “CTO with the rollup!”

Kaori however kicks out before a one could even be registered with the canvas. Both women getting to there feet and CTO connects with a right hand which sends Ishikawa back into the corner. CTO hits another right hand and then a European uppercut. CTO then backs up and runs to the corner and leaps onto the thighs of Kaori and holds the back of her head looking for a monkey flip. But Ishikawa holds on to her and remains upright before stumbling forward and falling backwards driving CTO’s face into the top turnbuckle with a snakeyes to an “oooh” from the crowd.

Knots: “Off, a shade of revenge on CTO there I think, it isn’t the steal ring post but then I wonder if she was aiming for that…”

CTO holds her face while Kaori gets back to her feet and says something in Japanese at CTO before stomping the back of her head. She stomps again and again with CTO doing her best to cover up and it gets to a point the official interjects again telling her to back away which she does unwillingly. CTO rolls over holding her head as she grabs at the middle rope and pulls herself up. Kaori sees that as a signal and charges at CTO with the running knee in mind. But CTO has other plans as a drop toehold connects with Kaori’s legs and she goes face first into the middle turnbuckle.

Sharper: “Have a taste of your own medicine Kaori!”

The crowd cheers as CTO gets up to her feet and stomps the back of Kaori now, she pulls her up and pushes her into the corner before Irish whipping her across the ring and instantly follows her where she hits with impact, CTO leaps onto Kaori and holds onto her once more and this time hits the monkey flip across the ring. CTO leaps back to her feet and sides across to stand by Kaori and hits a standing moonsault before covering.

1…. NO KICK OUT BY ISHIKAWA!

Knots: “Nice Standing moonsault there form CTO but only the one count followed. Gonna need more than that.

The camera changes to that of the commentary table where Knots and Sharper sit and resting there is the Contract that both women are fighting over. The camera’s switch back to the ring with CTO pulling Kaori up and hits a standing dropkick sending her stumbling to the ropes. Back on her feet CTO shouts something and charges at Kaori who doubles over and using CTO’s momentum throws her over the top rope. CTO though agile as a cat land on the apron, Kaori turns around only to get a kick to the face that sends her stumbling back again unexpectedly…

Sharper: “Nice counter from CTO.”

CTO holds onto the top rope and lines herself up before leaping onto the top rope and springboards off hitting a crossbody which Kaori catches and goes to the canvas, however she rolls through backwards and starts to get to her feet while continuing to hold CTO. Once on her feet Kaori lifts her up and hits a back breaker across her knee, but doesn’t stop there, she lifts her up once more and drives her into her knee to boos from the crowd. Ishikawa doesn’t stop though she lifts CTO up once more and now throws her up and onto her shoulders into a fireman’s carry before slamming her back with a Samoan drop. Kaori instantly hooks both legs.

1….

2…. NO KICK OUT BY CTO!!

Kaori instantly goes onto the attack with another mount and hammering right hands, turning those into forearm shots. She steps away and looks out to the crowd with a sneer on her face as the crowd continue to boo her. CTO rolls away and starts to get up, but this only angers Kaori more and she runs across and stiff kicks her in the side, CTO flips to her back and holds her side. Kaori covers again.

1…

2… NO KICK OUT BY KAORI!!

Sharper: “Kaori looking to end it quickly, but CTO is fighting through it all right now. Some real determination and drive.”

Knots : “It is an SCW contract up for grabs, why wouldn’t you fight through the pain for it?”

Kaori gets up and watches as once again CTO rolls over to her hands and knees, she talks in Japanese once again and pushes CTO’s head away with her boot, she does it again disrespectfully before grabbing hold of and Ear from the mask and pulling her up and looking into her eyes before slapping her. She goes to slap her again, but CTO blocks it and hits a right hand of her own to a roar from the crowd. She hits another and then a back hand before spinning back around into a European uppercut! CTO runs the ropes and sprints back with lightning speed hitting a running knee strike after a leap into the face of Kaori knocking her down. CTO rolls overlooking a little gassed from the constant assault from Kaori Ishikawa but she gets up, the Silver lotus however rolls over holding her face.

Sharper: “Kaori felt that knee alright, hell I know I did!”

Knots: “You and me both. Great chance for CTO to take an advantage.”

CTO does exactly that, rushing over and pulling Kaori up to her feet hitting another European upper cut before running to the ropes and leaping onto them and springboarding off to only twist her body as Kaori approached and land on her shoulders before hitting a hurricanrana into a pin…

Knots: “Oh wow!”

Sharper: “Great athleticism there, now the cover as she holds her in place.”

1…

2… NO KICK OUT BY KAORI ISHIKAWA!!

Karoi rolls away and gets to her feet, CTO does the same. The Silver Lotus goes for a running clothesline which CTO ducks, but Kaori runs to the ropes. CTO spins around and drops to the ground allowing Kaori to step over, but she stops once she does and spins around. She then goes for a big stomp to the back of CTO but she rolls out of the way and kip flips up, but Kaori goes for a round house with CTO once again reacting and falling to the canvas only to kick flip back to her feet before leaping up for an enziguri, however Kaori ducks under. Once she missed CTO rolls forward to get some distance from Kaori and they both stand with a stance to a cheer from the crowd.

Sharper: “Both women not letting up, throwing all they can and seemingly able to counter the other.”

Knots: “They are both talented women, it’s almost a shame only one of them can get this contract.”

A small let’s go Kaori, CTO chant begins from the crowd getting both women to stop and look around. The arena is starting to fill out a little more now and they both look to each other and nod almost respectfully to the other. They start to circle each other now and lock up in the middle of the ring, Kaori driving a knee into the gut of CTO to boos from the crowd. The cheers lasting mere moments. CTO doubles over and gets clubbed across the back next, and again before whipped to the ropes and caught by a drop kick. Kaori covers once again.

1…

2…. NO KICKOUT BY CTO!!!

The crowd cheers as CTO kicked out, Kaori screams in frustration once again in Japanese as she looks down at CTO angrily. CTO rolls over struggling to get to her feet not wanting to give up. Karoi gets to hers and drags her upright before hitting a European uppercut of her own. While this is happening there seems to be some kind of commotion happening in the crowd which a few people have noticed but neither wrestler in the ring or the official. Kaori sends CTO into a corner with an Irish whip and follows that up with a big splash. Meanwhile when she does that a figure leaps over the barricade and immediately slides into the ring now with the crowd buzzing. A tall stocky woman with long raven hair crouches almost waiting for Kaori to turn around. Kaori starts to pull CTO out of the ring and turns around as the woman charges at her to hits a spear. Kaori dodges out of the way but the woman connects her spear into the gut of CTO with a sickening impact. The crowd oohs and starts to boo loudly, the official of the match calling for the bell.

DING DING DING!!!

Sharper: “Who is that and why is she attacking CTO?!”

Knots: “I don’t’ know but Kaori looks livid and rightfully so!!”

The mystery woman stands up and Kaori rushes over and spins her around and starts yelling at her in Japanse while point at CTO who rolls over holding her stomach. The woman smirks and walks towards Kaori and its easy to see she towers over her and extends her arms goading her to try something. Kaori backs up a step but then slaps her across the face which looks to have little effect. She hits a forearm shot which too has little effect, again and again the woman just laughs before grabbing hold of her and drops her to the canvas with one right hand shot. The crowd ooohs and boos again. Kaori rolls away holding her face and begins to get to her feet.

Knots: “This is not good, we need security out here, why isn’t there any?!”

Sharper: “I have no clue.”

The woman starts to walk towards Kaori Ishikawa but gets kicked in the back of her leg from CTO who is back on her feet. The crowd cheers, the woman winces a little from the strike and CTO hits another and another as her focus is now CTO rather than Kaori. But the Silver Lotus is back to her feet now and she clubs the back of the mystery woman. She hits her again and CTO joins in the two rivals now teaming up on this third woman. Kaori and CTO look at each other and nod as the both hit stereo chops to her chest, they hit another set and a third before grabbing an Arm each looking for an Irish whip.

Knots: “CTO and Kaori working as a team now!!”

Sharper: “Stranger things have happened in the past.”

Kaori and CTO pull at her arms but the woman grins before pulling her arms back and slamming both CTO and Kaori into each other with pure strength. The crowd oohs but it doesn’t end there for the two women. The Mystery woman pulls them together and wraps her arms around their waist and locks her hands together before lifting them up and hits a release German suplex on both women at the same time. Both Kaori and CTO flying through the middle rope and crashing to the outside matting and barricade. The mystery woman kick flips back up herself and grins again as she extends her arm proudly, the crowd roaring at the move but quickly changing to boos in an instant.

Knots: “She just German suplexed them BOTH at the same time. What the hell and it looks like they landed hard out there on the matting.”

Sharper: “Not much protection to cushion that fall there, the woman knew what she was doing.”

The woman in question walks around the ring looking out at the crowd before dropping down and rolling to the outside. The official steps in her way and she looks at him and he instantly backs away holding his hands up. She looks down at both women and smirks before walking over to the commentary desk, both Adam Sharper and Jonathan Knots backing away hoping they are not next on her hit list. Instead, she walks over to the table and picks up the contract and looks at it.

Mystery Woman: “PEN!!”

She says in a British accent while she pointed at Knots who reaches into his pocket and hands her one which she snatches from him. Turning her back on both commentators she walks towards Kaori and CTO who are starting to stir and while doing so she begins to fill in and sign the contract herself. She stands over them both now for a moment before she kneels showing her signature as she sneers.

Mystery Woman: “This is MINE, you don’t deserve this. You will not HAVE it; do you understand me! Try to challenge this judgement, I will break you.”

She glares at both women who wince in pain before standing up. She looks at the camera and grins before walking past the camera with the contract in hand and begins to walk up the aisle towards the back.

Sharper: “Strong words from her, but can she even do that? I don’t even know… Where was security or the officials?!”

Knots: “I don’t know, but what could they have done even if they did come down… Wait who is that on the stage?”

The woman continues walking up to the stage and once there, the SCW fans roar loudly as standing there in his three-piece suit is Chris Cannon looking at her approach. The woman approaches him and stops to get into his face, the two nose to nose only she smiles and hands him the contract…

Knots: “Wait a god damn minute, she’s linked to Chris Cannon?! What the hell is going on?!”

Sharper: “Is that why there was no security… Did CHBK know about this?! Did Cannon stop it?! I agree with you with you Jonathan, what the hell is going on?!”

The crowd roars with a mixture of boos and cheers as Chris Cannon stands beside the woman who just assaulting Kaori Ishikawa and CTO for a moment. He looks down at the contract and nods before the two exits through the curtains.

Jon

We cut to see Polly Pingotti pacing in her locker room, clearly focused, as she can be seen whispering something to herself.

Sharper: “As we hope to find out more here, later tonight, Polly Pingotti will challenge for the SCW US Championship. She is hoping tonight is the night she finally breaks through.”

Knots: “Some bad luck with some people in front of her. Tonight, Deanna Frost has been as strong as we’ve seen her.”

Sharper: “And Polly is hoping tonight is her night. She says she could have won. And that’s possible, but her leg, under the bottom rope, it wasn’t caught. This rematch is going to remove all doubt.”

The SCW Cameras immediately move from the ringside area of the match that just occurred between CTO and Kaori Ishikawa to the other side of Gorilla where Chris Cannon walks through with the mystery woman behind him. They pair ignore the questions happening from those who were watching on the monitors for the show and head down a set of stairs, the camera following after them, however.

They exit Gorilla and begin to follow a sign that reads Parking as if they looked to leave the Arena… The voice of the woman behind him speaks once again in her British Accent, she looks to be all smiles.

Woman: “That… Felt so good… I really enjoyed that.”

Cannon: “Good cause you realize this isn’t going to get any easier from here on out.”

Woman: “I know, you don’t need to tell me…”

Chris was about to respond but he is distracted when Jessica Winters appears a little surprised, she has a mic in hand and stands in the path of Chris and the mystery Woman. Chris smiles extending his arms before handing the contract to the woman and hugs Jessica.

Cannon: “Jessica, it’s great to see you love. It’s been a while, hasn’t it?”

Winters: “Yeah it has… But while I would love to play catch up, I think you know why I’m here.”

Cannon nods. The woman who was all smiles a moments ago demeanour changed to a focused stare.

Cannon: “Of course, what would you like to know, love?”

Winters: “Well for starters, who is this with you? Also why did she ruin the match and then take the contract? Why is she here with you and…”

Cannon holds up his hands and laughs a little before stopping, Winters stops talking and takes a breath.

Cannon: “That is a lot of questions there Jessica, and since we’re friends, I will be honest with you.”

Chris steps closer and places an arm over her shoulder and smiles.

Cannon: “You’re gonna have to wait like everyone else to find out because we will talk in front of the world on Breakdown.”

Winters: “What? Bu-“

Chris steps away and shakes his head and wags his finger telling her no.

Cannon: “You know how this works, Jessica. Besides, she has quite the temper and you wouldn’t want to push the wrong buttons.”

The woman takes a step forward and in doing so, Jessica backs up a couple paces…

Cannon: “But here is what I will do, on Breakdown you can get the exclusive yeah? How’s that sound? Good? Brilliant.”

Cannon nods with a wink at Jessica before walking off, the woman following after him but not without giving Jessica a side eye stare before smirking, the two heading off towards the parking lot area…

The Enigma & European Fiery Nation vs. Chris Dumont & Body, Heart & Soul

A coin can be heard dropping into a coin slot and then the words “START GAME” show up on SCW’s Jumbotron. A bunch of girls can be heard giggling before “C’est La Vie” by B*Witched begins to play.

Phillips: “The following contest is a six person tag team match scheduled for onefall with a twenty minute time limit. First, on their way to the ring, they are Body, Heart, and Soul, Colleen and Aisling!”

The music plays for quite some time and it is not until it comes to the first chorus that Colleen and Aisling walk out from behind, wearing matching pantsuits. They look around before starting to head to the ring. Colleen looks on focused as Aisling plays to the crowd a bit. They make their walk down the ramp. Colleen and Aisling reach the ring and slide in. They get to their feet and raise their arms overhead. Colleen and Aisling walks around the ring.

Sharper: “Colleen and Aisling are hoping tonight spells the end for their rivalry with the European Fiery Nation who has gotten in their matches, into the Stewards matches.”

Knots: “And they don’t want to win necessarily. They want to fight, to brawl, to maim, to hurt anyone in their way.”

“Wild Thing” by X plays as the crowd cheers a bit. A few moments pass before “The Ronin” Chris Dumont walks out from the back. He looks around the arena, taking it all in before starting to head to the ring. He throws his fist in the air as he does, focusing on the battleground before him.

Phillips: “Their partner, from New Orleans, Louisiana, he is The Ronin, Chris Dumont!”

The crowd cheers a bit as Dumont heads to the ring and hops onto the apron. He wipes his feet and enters before heading over to the corner, raising his fist as he does.

Sharper: “And this young man making his SCW debut tonight and in a big match. Stepped in with his ally David Striker to stop European Fiery Nation from going after Colleen and Aisling.”

Knots: “And now he’s caught into this. But I’ve heard he’s looking for to it. Just like Striker is looking forward to Kim later, Dumont wants Theron and Eriksson!”

“Off To War” by Behemoth plays over the sound system with the lights being dark as ever as Ginny in the middle, Ludvig on the left and Dakon on the right-hand sides, looking at the crowd and got heavy boos. When the lights briefly came back on, you see Dakon, Ludvig and Ginny waving their Norway, Sweden, and German flags.

Phillips: “Their opponent, making their way to the ring, accompanied by Ginny Raab, coming from Sweden, Norway and Germany, they are Ludvig Eriksson and Dakon Theron known as The European Fiery Nation.”

They walked down to the ring with their flags and stepped on the stairs and did a hold-up in the middle of the ring as they gave their flags to Ginny. When the lights returned, Ludvig and Dakon wait for their partner to join them.

Sharper: “As violent as ever, they may be the one’s to control in this one.”

Knots: “If you can even focus on them. Because well…”

The arena falls into complete darkness as a haunting melody, "Whispers of the Abyss," begins to resonate throughout. Eerie silence sweeps over the audience, and a sense of anticipation builds.

Suddenly, a soft, bluish glow illuminates the entrance ramp. Mysterious mist starts to billow out, creating an otherworldly ambiance. The crowd hushes, waiting in awe for "The Enigma's" arrival.

A spotlight slowly emerges, revealing "The Enigma" standing at the top of the entrance ramp. He's cloaked in enigmatic attire and his haunting mask. His presence seems to draw the energy from the surroundings. The SCW Television Championship is in his hand.

With supernatural grace, "The Enigma" descends the ramp. The mist swirls around him, concealing his every step, as if he is a specter emerging from the abyss.

Phillips: “And their partner, from Parts Unknown, he is the SCW Television Champion, The Enigma!”

The audience watches in silent fascination as he reaches the ringside area. The enigmatic symbols on the walls of the arena come to life, glowing in response to his presence.

"The Enigma" ascends the steel steps, never breaking eye contact with his opponent. His gaze remains hidden behind the mask, adding to the mystique surrounding him.

Inside the ring, "The Enigma" spreads his arms wide, and the eerie mist intensifies, shrouding the entire ring. The audience is captivated by the mystical display before them.

The haunting melody of "Whispers of the Abyss" reaches its crescendo. "The Enigma" drops to one knee, his cloak sweeping the canvas. He raises his arms, and the mist begins to dissipate, revealing the mysterious aura he brings with him.

As the music fades, "The Enigma" remains in the center of the ring, an enigmatic figure who has left the audience spellbound. The lights return, but the sense of mystery lingers in the air. Theron and Eriksson just look at him before Theron says something to him. Enigma slowly turns to him.

Sharper: “There’s your X-factor. The Enigma in a tag match here. Last time, he ended up taking out Diamond Steele to cost her the World Tag Team Championship. No titles on the line here.”

Knots: “What is Theron thinking?”

Sharper: “I don’t know if they are. They seem so focused on one goal.”

The bell sound as Theron says something to Enigma again only for Dumont to run across and jump up and nail Theron in the back with the Code Red. The crowd ohs. Dumont turns as Enigma watches Theron drop and Eriksson forearms him in the jaw once and then again and again. Enigma exits while Aisling and Colleen smile and do too. Eriksson sends Dumont into a neutral corner and knees him in the ribs once and then again and again. He then yells at Dumont’s face as Dumont then headbutts him. The crowd roars. Eriksson staggers back and spins around and Dumont runs out and ducks a clothesline before grabbing him in a waistlock and then spinning him out and pulling him into another Code Red. The crowd ohs. Dumont backs up as Eriksson staggers back and Dumont runs at him and hits a running backsplash into the corner. He then turns around and Theron tackles him down. He nails him with a couple of hard rights before Colleen and Aisling enter and kick him off. The official tries to get Theron out as Colleen and Aisling oblige. Dumont rolls over and starts to get up and Eriksson runs across and nails him with a jumping superman punch.

Sharper: “Wild start here and a hard right!”

Knots: “Why not? We just have a bunch of people in there who will just do whatever they damn well please.”

Sharper: “And Enigma just watching. Only one not involved in this early volley.”

Dumont falls back into the corner and Eriksson knees him in the ribs and hits a European uppercut before then snapmaring him out. Dumont ends up in a seated position and Eriksson kicks him in the back. Dumont rolls over in pain and starts to get up. Eriksson blasts him with a hard right and then another before spinning him around into the EFN corner. Eriksson tags in Theron who then enters the ring and Eriksson grabs him and pulls him out of the corner, going to whip him across only to pull him back in and Theron hits a snap belly to belly suplex into the corner. The crowd ohs. Eriksson exits as Theron gets up.

Theron: “How you like that jumpy boy!”

Theron then stomps him in the face over and over and over again before pressing the base of his boot into the throat of Dumont.

Eriksson breaks it up. Theron rolls over as Eriksson is the forced out. Aisling extends her arm as Dumont gets up and obliges, tagging her in.

Sharper: “EFN doing what they do. They don’t want the standard rules and it just got them caught!”

Knots: “And almost beaten. Aisling now in. Dumont saying, you want in. Why not!”

Sharper: “And The Enigma remains just standing, stoically on the apron.”

Knots: “I don’t like any of that. This is like a repeat of that tag title match!”

Aisling enters as Theron gets up and Aisling hits a dropkick. Theron gets up and rolls over and gets up and Aisling hits a second dropkick. The crowd roars as Theron falls back and rolls to the floor. Colleen gets up on the floor and up onto the apron. Aisling then grabs the top rope and goes for a vaulting press. Theron catches her. He smirks as Colleen spins around the ringpost and jumps off with a crossbody of her own, catching Theron on the head and driving him back. The crowd ohs. Colleen rolls through. Aisling rolls off. (1) She rolls over and starts to get up. (2) Theron turns and Colleen backs away, hands up to show she isn’t getting involved, before Aisling rolls Theron into the ring. (3) She rolls in after. Sharper: “Dumped over to the floor. Hard landing for Aisling as Theron just using his strength.”

Knots: “And here comes the attack. EFN does this all the time!”

Aisling rolls over, wincing as Theron gets the officials’ attention and Aisling gets up only for Eriksson to jump off the apron and hit a moonsault, knocking her down. The crowd ohs and boos. Theron smirks as he walks past the official and Eriksson backs off. Theron drops down to the floor. He grabs Aisling and rolls her into the ring. Aisling rolls over and winces as Theron turns and enters the ring. Aisling rolls over and gets up and Theron smirks and kicks her in the ribs and hits a DDT. He rolls her over and hooks the leg.

Colleen and Dumont again break it up. This time, Theron, grabs Dumont and nails him with a couple of hard rights. Dumont then throws his arms up, trying to get the crowd going, helping Colleen up, and returning to the corner. Aisling rolls over as Eriksson then runs over and nails Dumont from behind. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “And again. This is just chaotic!”

Knots: “While The Enigma just watches. What is he thinking?”

Aisling looks over at The Enigma and backs away before we see Eriksson nail Dumont again and again. Aisling then dives and tags in Colleen. Colleen enters and then grabs Eriksson from behind and hits a release German suplex. The crowd ohs as Eriksson rolls through and over to the corner. Dumont turns and looks at Colleen and smiles. Colleen nods before The Enigma tags himself in. The crowd roars. The Enigma slowly enters the ring. Eriksson turns to him as Theron looks on from the corner. He starts to pull himself up as The Enigma then turns as Colleen looks at him. Colleen then grits her teeth and lunges at The Enigma who suddenly elbows her in the jaw and then hits a vicious short-arm clothesline.

Sharper: “And The Enigma is in, but I don’t know if the EFN is happy about it.”

Knots: “Just let him fight or-“

Sharper: “Theron and Eriksson are telling him to exit.”

The Enigma then nails Dumont with a throat thrust before nailing Aisling with a shot. He turns back as Theron spins him around. Eriksson then points to the corner. Theron snaps at him before The Enigma turns his head. He then looks down. He takes a moment before then headbutting both at the same time. Eriksson staggers back as Theron remains on his feet. The Enigma pulls him in and then hits the Cryptic Slam. The crowd ohs and some cheer. The Enigma gets up and then just nails Eriksson with a hard right and then another and another, knocking him over to the apron. He then turns violently towards Colleen and runs at her and clotheslines her down. He then walks around the ring before seeing Theron starting to stir. The Enigma grabs him and turns and goes to throw him out of the ring by the EFN corner.

Sharper: “The Enigma is taking on his team too!”

Knots: “Just striking anything. And he’s fresh, so he’s got the advantage!”

The Enigma then turns around and suddenly Eriksson pulls him back and tags himself back in. He then holds onto him, before The Enigma turns and grabs him and pulls him over by the throat. The Enigma then turns and Colleen, Aisling and Dumont run across the ring and Dumont hits a running Code Red, while Aisling and Colleen hit dropkicks and The Enigma falls through the ropes and to the floor. Colleen then runs at him and hits a running hip check. She then drags him out to the middle of the ring and finishes up with the Collapser.

Sharper: “Colleen hits the Collapser!”

Knots: “Eriksson didn’t even know where it was coming from!”

Sharper: “And in the aisle!”

Theron swings at the Enigma who ducks and then hits the Eclipse Kick. The Enigma then turns as Ginny heads over. The Enigma then calmly starts to head to the back.

The crowd roars as the bell sounds. Colleen rolls off and looks at Eriksson. Dumont and Aisling enter and the raise each other’s arms.

Phillips: “Here are your winners, via pinfall, Colleen, Aisling, and Chris Dumont!”

Sharper: “Colleen with the exclamation point, but the attitudes of European Fiery Nation bringing them down, while this alliance between Dumont and Body, Heart, and Soul standing tall. Getting the last laugh.”

Knots: “Imagine if EFN and Enigma worked together though?”

Sharper: “Was that even something possible? Does it matter? Colleen, Aisling and Dumont showed the better team!”

Colleen, Dumont and Aisling continue to celebrate in the ring.

Sharper: “And they hope for more celebration later with maybe two new champions among their friends and allies!”

Knots: “Maybe-“

Suddenly, there’s an explosion at the stage as massive pillars of fire shoot into the air. The Enigma stands on the stage, barely shielding his eyes as he looks forward and the crowd looks on as the stage keeps spewing fire before “Feuer Frei” by Rammstein plays. Ginny Raab smiles while checking on Dakon Theron as we then see Konrad Raab, dressed all in red and black walking out from the back, brandishing a torch. The Enigma looks at him as Raab steps up and then takes the torch and places it in the flames shooting from the stage. He then turns and steps up and swings it at The Enigma. The Enigma at first jukes and Raab swings again before then stepping forward, extending the torch out and gritting his teeth. He says something in German to The Enigma before The Enigma just remains watching as slowly black mist starts to billow out on the stage and then starts to overtake the flames, slowly putting them out. The Enigma looks around as Raab looks at him. The Enigma and Raab remain looking at one another before the scene fades to black.

We hear majestic music playing we see Deanna Frost and Selena Frost riding horses, Deanna’s brown, while Selena’s is white. They move forward before Deanna stops as Selena pulls out a old-timey map.

Selena: “Hmmm…should be…right around-“

Deanna: “That it?”

The camera turns to show a very obvious shot of the Gateway Arch with St. Louis and the surrounding metropolis around it. We hear the sound of a ball being hit in Busch Gardens before showing a shot of people walking downtown, and a shot of the Missouri Botanical Gardens. We then cut to see Selena and Deanna now coming down the street on their horses before Selena steps off and looks up. The camera turns to show the Dome at America’s Center.

Selena: “So this is where we need to go?”

Deanna: “Looks like it.”

Selena: “Let’s just hope everything is in one piece.”

Deanna: “If not, you’ve got another main event in you, right?”

Selena and Deanna head over to the building before we cut to shots of Selena Frost standing as World Champion at Rise to Greatness, before showing shots of Syren coming to the ring, Gavin Taylor hitting a Gavin Taylor Lariat, Kandis posing with Tommy Valentine, and Adam Allocco posing in the ring. The Rise to Greatness XXI logo comes up on the screen.

Rise to Greatness XXI

July 28, 2024

St. Louis, Missouri

The scene slowly fades to black.

Marie Jones vs. Cassie Wolfe

The opening riff of “Wolf Within” hits the speakers and once the lyrics kick in Cassie Wolfe emerges from the back excited to start the match, with her hands on her leather jacket’s sides the rookie wrestler turns her back to the crowd.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for one fall with a twenty minute time limit! Introducing first, from Greenock, South Australia and now residing in Las Vegas, Nevada, “The Rebel Princess” Cassie Wolfe!”

When her name is announced Cassie spins around flashing the metal horns sign with her left hand and clapping fans hands with the other, when she reaches the ring Cassie jumps onto the apron before giving her hair a full flip and removing her jacket to give to a stagehand, she then jumps over the top rope and into the ring, rolling to her knees and basking in the moment.

Phillips: “And her opponent…”

"You and I walk a fragile line

I have known it all this time

But I never thought I'd live to see it break

It's getting dark and its all too quiet

And I can't trust anything now

And its comin' over you like its all a big mistake"

"Holding my breathe, won't lose you again

Something's made your eyes go cold"

Phillips: “From Boston, Massachusetts, she is The Phoenix Marie Jones!”

A spotlight shines down at the top of the entrance ramp. Pyro goes off. Then Marie Annabelle Jones steps through the curtain, wearing her ring gear and her signature black leather jacket. A broad, somewhat condescending grin is on her face as she gaze out at the fans in the arena who cheer loudly. The Tron shows images of her striking at her opponents with her finishing and signature moves as the lyrics of "Haunted" by Taylor Swift begin to flow through the arena.  Marie begins to make her way down towards the ring. As for Marie herself, she stops to slap a few high fives with fans, recognizing them as they cheer her. Then her focus is solely on the ring and the determined stride with which she walks tells that story.  Marie hops up onto the ring apron. She strikes a sultry and sexy pose for the audience. Marie turns and leaps over the top rope and into the ring.  She then hops up onto the second turnbuckle of the nearby corner and holds her arms up high into the air, getting a reaction from the crowd.

Sharper: “Cassie Wolfe in many ways you could say is Marie Jones earlier in her career in terms of pure style. Both are well known for their high-flying ability.”

Knots: “But Cassie hasn’t burned the bridges Marie has. And Marie is a bit more technical sound.”

Marie goes for a clothesline but Cassie ducks and then snaps off a beautiful dropkick.  Cassie follows that up with one arm drag, a second arm drag, a third arm drag and then another dropkick that sends Marie tumbling through the ropes and to the ring apron.  Cassie with a superkick sends Jones tumbling to the floor.  Cassie with a running start and delivers a suicide dive over the top taking out The Phoenix.

Sharper: “And over the top! Wolfe going airborne. The woman has no fear!”

Knots: “Jesus! We should have Cassie Cam!”

Cassie with a suplex to Marie on the outside.  She rolls Jones back into the ring.  Cassie goes up to the top turnbuckle and waits as Marie pulls herself up.  She leaps off and connects with a hurricinrana.  Marie sits up but Cassie with a soccer kick to the face putting her back down!  Cassie goes for a standing moonsault and connects into a cover…

1…

…2NO!

Cassie takes a few steps back and measures Jones.  She goes for The Greenest Wizard but Marie avoids it.  Marie scrambles back to her feet and connects with a cutter, flooring Cassie, and buying Jones some time to recover.

Sharper: “Jones countering. Cassie went for the Greenest Wizard, missed. And Marie recollecting herself here.”

Knots: “That’s the experience. That’s the biggest difference we should say. Years for Marie. Cassie’s still new. Only a couple of years in.”

Marie kips up to her feet.  Marie with a spinning heel kick.  Marie whips Cassie but Cassie reverses.  Marie drives Cassie’s face into her knee.  The Rebel Princess staggers a bit.  Jones with a buisaku knee strike, Kissed By Fire!  Marie with a jumping shoulder tackle and then a spinning flying forearm smash.  Cassie falls near the corner.  The Phoenix rushes in and delivers a split legged moonsault, hooking a leg…

1…

…2NO!

Jones pulls Cassie back to her feet.  Marie with a snap suplex, rolls through, drops Wolfe with a belly to back suplex.  Marie then pulls her back up to her feet and applies a crossface chicken wing.

Sharper: “Chickenwing! Marie going for the arm!”

Knots: “And Cassie struggling. This is not something she’s got much experience fighting!”

Cassie struggles in the hold mightily for several seconds.  Marie tries to wrench it in tighter.  Wolfe finally manages to reach the ropes, forcing a break.  Marie with a back cracker to Cassie and then locks in a single leg crab.

Sharper: “And now the crab. Trying to work over the lower back.”

Knots: “That can stop her ability to jump as well. Yeah, you think legs, but also your back. That’s some of your power there. And Marie is just focusing on anything she can.”

Again Wolfe refuses to give up.  She fights towards the ropes.  Eventually The Rebel Princess reaches the ropes after about fifteen seconds.  Marie pulls her back up to her feet.  She takes her by her leg and attempts a dragon screw but Cassie counters with an enziguri to the back of Marie’s head.  Cassie pulls herself back up and immediately strikes with The Greenest Wizard!  Cassie covers quickly, hooking a leg…

1…

2…Kickout!

Cassie pulls Marie back to her feet.  She hooks her, hoists her, and drops her with a brain buster she calls Down Under Driver.  Cassie kips up to her feet and heads to the top turnbuckle.  The Rebel Princess comess off the top with a 450 splash, Air Aussie!  The cover…

1…

2…

…3NOOO! Marie gets a shoulder up!

Sharper: “Oh! Air Aussie only gets two!”

Knots: “Marie…oh…that was too close!”

Cassie with a suplex to Jones.  She goes up to the top and leaps off for a moonsault, Marie rolls out of the way, Cassie lands on her feet!  Marie gets up but runs into a superkick from Wolfe!  Cassie pulls Marie back to her feet and plants her with a ddt.  Again she goes up to the top.  She looks for the moonsault again and this time connects!  The cover…

1…

2…

…3NOOO! Marie gets a shoulder up!

Cassie pulls Marie up and goes for a suplex but Marie floats over, lands on her feet and strikes Cassie with a back stabber.  Jones hits the ropes, springboards off the second, and comes off with a lionsault, Divine Impact with all of her body weight on Cassie’s lower back!

Sharper: “Divine Impact! Right to the lower back. Again, targeting it.”

Knots: “And now to pretzelize Cassie Wolfe!”

Marie quickly locks Cassie in an STF.  Again the referee is in position to check for a submission but Wolfe refuses to give up.  Marie keeps the hold wrenched in as tightly as she can.  After about fifteen seconds, The Rebel Princess reaches the ropes, forcing a break.  Marie releases the hold but doesn’t waste time.  She goes up to the second rope and waits.  Cassie pulls herself up and turns around.  Marie goes for a blockbuster but Cassie steps to the side and Jones misses!  Cassie strikes quickly.  She pulls Jones back up, sets her up, running power bomb into a lung blower, HEIR TO THE WOLFE!  She covers…

1…

2…

…3NOOO!  Marie shoots her right shoulder up!

Sharper: “Heir to the Wolfe! Only two again! Marie showing great resiliency. Cassie keeping on fighting.”

Knots: “They may kill each other and still kick out.”

Cassie is stunned for just a moment, asking if the count was indeed just a two.  After confirmation from the referee Cassie goes up to the top.  She leaps off, going for The Coronation, but Marie moves out of the way and Cassie hits nothing but canvas!  Marie quickly pulls Cassie back to her feet and spikes her on her head with Ave Maria!  The cover…

1…

2…

…3NOOO! Cassie gets a shoulder up!

Now it is Marie who is shocked that Cassie escaped her best move.   But Marie also does not waste any time.  She pulls Cassie up and attempts The Vindicator but Cassie fights out of it and strikes with a standard lung blower.

Sharper: “Another backcracker. Both knees into the lower back.”

Knots: “And Marie just had no way to block it. And at some point, your body just gives out.”

Cassie rolls over and finds the ropes.  She uses them to pull herself up to her feet.  Marie tries to get to her feet.  Cassie steps outside onto the apron and waits patiently while Marie pulls herself up.  Jones turns around and Cassie springboards off the ropes into a hurricinrana…but NO!  Marie catches her in mid-air and turns her over into her liontamer variant, The Angel’s Arch!

Sharper: “Angel’s Arch. Marie using the patented move of her mother, Angelica!”

Knots: “And back to the back. Cassie…you gotta pull a rabbit out!”

Cassie refuses to quit.  She fights to the ropes, getting closer and closer.  She is fingertips away, but Marie drags her back out to the center.  Still Wolfe won’t give in!  She again fights towards the ropes, inching closer and closer.  Finally Cassie reaches the ropes, forcing a break.  Marie drags Cassie out to the center and attempts to lock The Angel’s Arch back in but Cassie counters with a small package!

1…

2…

…3NOOO!  Marie shoots her right shoulder up!

Both women pop back up.  Marie goes for a clothesline but Cassie floats over and strikes a ddt.  Cassie goes up to the top turnbuckle and attempts a shooting star press but Marie gets her knees up, driving them into Cassie’s gut!

Sharper: “Oh! Knees to the ribs. Cassie went right into them after the shooting star.”

Knots: “Oh God…full impact!”

Jones slowly and gingerly pulls herself back up.  She grabs Cassie, and hooks her back into the Angel’s Arch.  She sits back, putting even more torque on the hold.  Cassie has no choice but to tap out. The bell sounds as the crowd roars. Marie lets go and falls to her hands and knees.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via submission, “The Phoenix” Marie Jones!”

Sharper: “And after targeting the back, the Angel’s Arch gets it done. Marie back to the winning side.”

Knots: “Cassie Wolfe fought, clawed, kept going…and just experience and technical skill was the difference.”

Sharper: “And look at Marie. Marie looking back at Cassie, almost trying to go over the match in her head. Wolfe had her so close too many times.”

Marie glances back at Cassie and then turns and gets up, having her arm raised. The crowd looks on cheering her as Marie’s music plays throughout the stadium.

Backstage, we see Deanna Frost walking down the hallway, looking down, clearly trying to get herself hyped up. The SCW United States Championship sits over her shoulder. She takes a few steps forward.

Sharper: “And there’s the SCW United States Champion, who will be defending her title against Polly Pingotti, as we mentioned.”

Knots: “Yeah and she better be ready. She gave her the rematch. You always think about that. If you agree to the end of your reign.”

Deanna takes a few more steps before walking past the camera, only to stop as Selena Frost walks over to her. The two look at one another. The crowd roars, a mixed reaction coming from the crowd. Deanna takes a deep breath as Selena looks at her wife.

Deanna: “G…Good luck tonight.”

Selena: “I won’t need it.”

Selena then walks past Deanna as Deanna glances back, almost a bit taken aback. Selena just walks off.

Sharper: “No good luck back…that was a bit frosty.”

Knots: “Maybe she’s just playing up to her position as the Snow Queen finally?”

Team Desire vs. The Seekers

“Seek and Destroy” hits the PA system as the crowd begins to cheer. The lights flicker along with the opening riffs and beat of the drums.

“Alright
We're scanning the scene in the city tonight
We're looking for you to start up a fight
There's an evil feeling in our brains
But it's nothing new, you know it drives us insane…”

The Tron shows Chance and Kelsai hitting various moves in singles matches, before a shot of them standing together appears. The image fades, as Chance Owens and Kelsai Adamson are shown walking out from behind the curtain.

“Running, on our way
Hiding, you will pay
Dying one thousand deaths
Running, on our way
Hiding, you will pay
Dying one thousand deaths
Come on now

Chance and Kelsai charge down the ramp and slide into the ring simultaneously. The crowd continues to cheer as Chance and Kelsai stand on opposite turnbuckles.

“Searching, seek and destroy
Searching, seek and destroy (I see ya)
Searching, seek and destroy
Searching, seek and destroy

Chance and Kelsai shout at the cheering crowd before dropping from the top rope and stand in their corner, waiting for their opponents.

Phillips: ‘The following tag team contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first Kelsai Adamson, and Chance Owens…they are…The! Seekers!”

The arena lights dim down and pink light shine on the stage. “Psycho” by Ava Max plays as The Queen of Queens and Goddess of Desire Katie Steward steps out on the stage. She walks her beautiful white and gold religious ring robe that is pope like and spins around in a circle showing it off the crowd. Giovanna Steward follows behind her wearing her leather spiked “Brat Club” jacket and a black bandana covering the lower half of her face. TJ Johnson walks out onto the stage with Katie and the two nod to on another before Katie continues her walk to the ring with her arms out and his hands at shoulder length while Gigi follows behind.

Phillips: “And their opponents, accompanied by TJ Johnson, both from Los Angeles, California, they are the team of Gigi and Katie Steward, Team Desire!”

Katie walks around the ring and Gigi rolls under the bottom rope. Katie walks up the ring steps carefully and across the apron. TJ runs up after her and holds open the ropes for her to enter the ring. Katie walks to the center of the ring and she disrobes for the crowd. She shows off her wrestling attire. TJ takes her robe and exits the ring and Katie to her corner.

Sharper: “Tag team action here tonight. Team Desire against the Seekers. Should be an interesting clash of styles.”

Knots: “Chance was part of the team that took down the House of James at Body, Heart, and Soul. Kelsai took on Gavin but didn’t pick up the win.”

Sharper: “While Team Desire got the win in a triple threat tag team match where there were no rules. Both teams want momentum. Let’s see who walks out with it tonight.”

The ref calls for the bell. Gigi and Kelsai begin to circle around the ring, before engaging in a tie-up.

Sharper: “Gigi Steward and Kelsai Adamson starting us off in the early goings.”

Gigi pulls Kelsai into a standing side headlock, before Kelsai shoves her forward into the ropes. Gigi comes back and hits a shoulder tackle. Kelsai hits the mat. Gigi goes to grab her but Kelsai rolls away and gets to her feet. They lock up once again, with Gigi pulling Kelsai into another standing side headlock. Kelsai lands a forearm to the back, followed by a second. Gigi lets go, only for Kelsai to hook her around the waist, taking Gigi down with a belly to back suplex.
Kelsai gets to her feet, as does Gigi. Gigi charges but Kelsai hits a kick to the abdomen, then a forearm to the side of the head. Kelsai hooks Gigi once again and hits a belly-to-belly suplex. Kelsai then goes for a quick cover.

Sharper: “Kelsai hooking the leg after that belly-to-belly.”

2…Gigi gets her foot on the bottom rope. Kelsai gets to her feet, pulling Gigi with her, but Gigi manages to connect with a European uppercut. Kelsai staggers back before Gigi pulls her in close, hooking her and planting Kelsai with a DDT.

Knots: “Gigi turning the tide.”

Gigi picks Kelsai up from the mat and goes to whip her into Team Desire’s corner, but Kelsai reverses, pulling Gigi into a knee to the abdomen. Kelsai then whips Gigi into the Seekers’ corner. Kelsai charges and leaps, connecting with a corner splash. Kelsai steps aside as Gigi falls to the mat. Kelsai then tags in Chance.

Sharper: “Chance Owens joining the fray.”

Chance picks Gigi up before hitting a knife edge chop. Chance then pulls Gigi close and goes for a twisting neckbreaker, but Gigi wiggles out. Chance turns and Gigi hits a dropkick. Chance hits the mat but springs back up, only for Gigi to take him down a running knee to the face. Chance stumbles back and Gigi hits a forearm before whipping him into Team Desire’s corner. Gigi hits another running knee in the corner before tagging in Katie.

Katie and Gigi stomp Chance in the corner. The ref intervenes, with their back to Chance, as they argue with the Stewards. TJ is shown reaching over and putting Katie’s robe over Chance’s head and face, pulling back a bit as Chance struggles, before managing to break away. TJ pulls the robe away as the crowd boos.

Knots: “TJ Wilson showing his loyalty to his Goddess, even after these years!”

Chance crawls on the mat as Katie stalks him. Chance uses the ropes to get to his feet. He turns and Katie connects with a superkick, dropping Chance to the mat.

Sharper: “Katie nailing Chance with the superkick.”

Knots: “We all know she considers it to be the most beautiful superkick ever. Get it right.”

Katie covers Chance.

Chance shoots the shoulder up. Katie rolls her eyes before getting to her feet. She stomps Chance’s head before pulling him up by the hair. Katie kicks Chance in the ribs before she goes to whip him across the ring. Chances manages to reverse. Katie bounces off the ropes and Chance presses her into the air. Chance drops her and connects with a European uppercut. Katie hits the mat and Chance goes for the cover.

Sharper: “What a massive uppercut, ladies and gents!”

TJ is shown putting Katie’s foot on the rope, breaking up the pin.

Knots: “TJ saving the match for Team Desire.”

Kelsai is then shown charging over and taking TJ down with a running clothesline, earning cheers from the crowd. Chance gets to his feet as the ref is shown telling Kelsai to get back to her corner.

Sharper: “Kelsai showed she wasn’t having any of TJ’s nonsense. Oh! And Gigi from behind!”

Gigi is shown hitting Chance with a low blow. Chance drops to his knees as Katie gets to her feet. She looks at Gigi before they hit Chance with a double super kick. Kelsai slides into the ring and takes Gigi down with a running clothesline. Gigi rolls to the outside as the ref yells at Kelsai to get to her corner. Katie is shown going for another cover.

Chance kicks out once again, resulting in Katie screaming at the top of her lungs.

Knots: “Christ on a cracker! My ears! Make it stop!”

Katie gets to her feet as does Chance. Chance turns and Katie kicks him in the midsection, before hooking both arms.

Sharper: “Looks like Katie is going to Save the Queen!”

Katie leaps up, but Chance lifts her over his shoulders before slamming her down to the mat with an Alabama Slam. The crowd cheers, before TJ is shown rolling into the ring and charging at Chance. Chance catches him and plants him with a spinebuster.

Knots: “TJ’s loyalty probably just put him on the shelf for a few weeks. What a vicious spinebuster.”

Gigi is shown charging at Chance, who has his back turned. He turns just as Kelsai takes Gigi down with a spear. The crowd cheers louder as Gigi rolls out of the ring, just as TJ does the same. Katie is shown getting to her feet by using the ropes. She turns and both Chance and Kelsai are smirking at her.

Sharper: “This doesn’t seem to bode well for the Goddess of Team Desire.”

Kelsai grabs Katie who can be heard screaming and begging. Kelsai then smirks once again before monkey flipping Katie over, just as Chance leaps up and takes Katie down with a cutter. The crowd explodes as Kelsai is shown looking over a the fallen TJ and Gigi, as Chance covers Katie.

Phillips: “Here are your winners…Chance Owens and Kelsai Adamson…The Seekers!!!”

The cameras show Gigi and TJ helping Katie out of the ring and to her feet as they glare at their opponents. Chance and Kelsai climb opposite corners, as they jaw with Gigi and TJ before looking at the crowd who continues to cheer for them, as we then cut away.

A replay shows highlights from the first David Striker/Kimberly Williams hardcore match from Breakdown.

David Striker vs. Kimberly Williams

SCW Underground Championship

Jason Phillips stands in the ring.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a thirty minute time limit and is for the SCW Underground Championship!”

The SCW Underground Championship logo comes across the screen. “Man in the Box” by Like a Storm plays and the crowd roars. A few moments pass before David Striker walks out from the back, pushing a shopping cart of weapons. The crowd roars as David Striker takes a few steps and then stop and scans the arena. He then nods a bit as he turns to the ring. He then starts to head to the ring, pushing the cart down to the ring.

Phillips: “First, the challenger from Cameron, North Carolina, he is Bam Bam David Striker!”

The crowd roars as Striker heads to the ring. He stops the cart at the end of the rampway. He then turns and grabs a steel chair inside of it and throws it into the ring. He then grabs a street sign and does the same before reaching in and pulling out a barbed wire wrapped bat. He then tyurns and rolls into the ring. He gets up to a knee and looks around before getting up to his feet. He then turns and runs into the ropes, before sticking his upper body under and out from the top rope, getting a louder reaction.

Sharper: “Striker had a war with Kimberly Williams a few weeks back on Breakdown. He beat Kim in her own game. And tonight, that earned him an Underground Championship shot.”

Knots: “But the title is on the line. Kim wanted it. Striker wanted it. And they’re going to get it here in Phoenix! Striker even bringing his own cart of weapons!”

The lights go out, except for a single spotlight at the top of the stage. The opening chords to “Patient Number 9” by Ozzy Osbourne begins to play.  A haunting voice is heard…

"Is there a way out of here?"
"Hey, how long you been here?"
"I wanna go home"
"Hey, hahaha"
"Hahaha"
"Excuse me, could you tell how to get out of here?"
"Hahaha"
"I want to go home"
"Hahaha"
"Mommy, mommy"

The song begins to rage full bore now. Suddenly the lights come back on and Kimberly Williams is standing at the top of the stage to a loud, mostly positive, reaction from the fans. The SCW Underground Championship is around her waist. She then looks at the ring before turning and heading to the back. The crowd buzzes a bit as Kim disappears.

Phillips: “His opponent, from Boston, Massachusetts, she is the SCW Underground Champion, the Wild Card, Kimberly Williams!”

A few moments pass before Kimberly Williams comes out from the back with her own shopping cart of plunder. She looks at the ring as a sinister smirk is on her face as she ponders what she is about to do tonight. She winks at the fans before pointing towards the ring and making a beeline towards it, running and pushing the shopping cart the hole way down. She then rams it into Striker’s cart before turning and reaching in and grabbing a cheese grater and throwing it into the ring, before turning and grabbing a coil of barbed wire and throwing it in. Striker looks on before Kimberly grabs her own barbed wire wrapped bat. The crowd roars as she turns and rolls into the ring. She gets up and takes off her title and looks at Striker. Striker steps up as the crowd roars.

Sharper: “Kimberly Williams with her own cart of items.”

Knots: “They both came for war. And they both already have their first choice of weapon. A barbed wire bat. We’re going to get bloody early!”

Sharper: “And this crowd knows it. Underground Title on the line. The bell goes and this is going to explode!”

Kim Williams and David Striker look at one another, both brandishing their barbed wire baseball bats as the crowd continues to cheer. The bell sounds and Kim swings wildly at Striker. He ducks and spins around. He then turns and swings. Kim parries it with her bat. Kim then swings and Striker parries. Striker leans back and swings again, going for the head of Kim. Kim ducks and then goes for the legs. Striker hops over and Striker spins and swings again. Kim ducks and then jabs Striker in the ribs with the end of the bat. She then nails him in the back with it as the crowd roars. She peels it off as Striker falls to his knees and crawls to the ropes, dropping his bat. He gets up and Kim runs at him and goes to use the bat as a battering ram to bust him open. Striker ducks and Kim stops at the corner. He then runs over and grabs the street sign he brought in. Kim turns and Striker swings, but Kim blocks it with her bat.

Sharper: “Both blocking so much. Kim has gotten a few shots-“

Knots: “And that street sign. It’s obliterated. She went over forty!”

Striker looks at the sign and Kim then swings and nails him in the ribs with the bat. The crowd ohs as Striker falls over, holding his stomach. Kim peels it out again and Striker then turns and winces as Kim turns and swings for the head, but Striker blocks it with his hands. The crowd ohs as Striker pushes back. Kim keeps trying to push down, but Striker pushes it back and gets up, kicking Kim in the ribs. He then grabs the bat and turns and swings, catching Kim in the face. Kim goes down and rolls over. Striker steps forward. He then walks around and runs over to Kim and jumps up and drives the bat down into her face again. Kim rolls over, blood coming from her forehead. Striker then gets up again as Kim rolls over. She gets up in the corner and Striker then takes the bat and swings overhead, but Kim dodges and then grabs the arm of Striker and manages to take him down with an arm wrench and twist. Striker rolls through. Kim then runs over and grabs the chair. Striker gets up and turns and Kim throws the chair at his head. Striker goes down as Kim touches the blood coming from her forehead.

Sharper: “And Kim using that chair. Throwing it to stop Striker.”

Knots: “After Striker made Kim draw first blood. Kim!”

Sharper: “Stunned the world by beating her in non-title underground warfare a few weeks ago. Now standing up to Kim here and taking the fight right to her.”

Kim then walks over to the steel chair. David rolls over and looks up as Kim throws the chair into his face again. He falls back. Kim then takes the chair and unfolds it before placing it in the middle of the ring. Striker starts to get up in the corner and Kim walks over and nails him with a hard right and then another before then grabbing him and snapmaring him over. David turns and Kim grabs him and places him in the chair. She taps him on the head and then runs across the ring, bouncing off and running right at David Striker and drilling him with a running dropkick, causing him to fall back to the mat. Kim goes for the pin.

Striker kicks out. Kim turns and grabs the opened chair. She then places it back onto its feet and turns to Striker. She grabs him, but Striker nails her in the ribs with a shot and then another before hitting an uppercut. Kim stumbles back. Striker then gets up and runs into the ropes, running past Kim. He bounces off and hits a running double knee into Kim, driving her back into the chair and to the mat hard as the chair collapses underneath her.

Sharper: “Striker using his weight. Right onto Kim.”

Knots: “Kim and that chair had no chance.”

Kim rolls over as the camera focuses on the mangled chair. She rolls over as Striker then grabs her and clubs her in the back. He then grabs her a full nelson. She struggles though and ducks under and then through into a crucifix pin.

Striker kicks out. Both get up and Kim hits a drop toe hold into the bottom rope. Kim then grabs the barbed wire bat and turns and runs over to the ropes. She slingshots over and drives the barbed wire bat into the back of Striker’s head. Striker rolls over in pain. Kim then sits on the apron. She looks around and turns as Striker holds his head in pain. He starts to slowly get up and Kim then turns and throws the bat at Striker. Striker swats it away while Kim heads over to the shopping carts. She then grabs a steel chair wrapped in barbed wire from hers and turns back, but Striker runs at the ropes and dives over the top rope and into Kim. The crowd ohs.

Knots: “Jesus!”

Sharper: “Kim thought she got more of Striker than she did. And shades of that match on Breakdown.”

Knots: “No table. But he got Kim. And nearly went head first into the mats! He’s nuts.”

Striker rolls over as Kim turns, wincing in pain. Striker rolls over in pain and then sees the two shopping carts. He turns and grabs Kim and drags her up before Kim nails him with a European uppercut. He staggers back and Kim turns to the ring. She then runs at him and jumps up, but Striker powers her up and back drops her into the shopping carts. She lands awkwardly and then falls to the floor, both carts remaining standing as she holds her back in pain.

Knots: “Now Kim’s destroyed!”

Sharper: “Onto the carts. The pointed edges. The awkward railings and no give.”

Striker turns and grabs Kim and drags her up and rolls her into the ring. He staggers over to the barbed wire wrapped steel chair and lifts it up. The crowd cheers. He turns and moves to the ring and rolls in with it. He gets up as Kim crawls to the corner. Striker then lifts the chair up and slams it into the back of Kim. The crowd ohs as Kim just falls to the ground, clearly in pain. Striker looks around as the crowd ohs and Striker tells Kim to get up. Kim however reaches for something as she does. Striker then lifts up the chair, but as he does, Kim turns, having grabbed the cheese grater and places it on Striker’s crotch and runs it across. The crowd ohs as Striker turns, yelling in pain and rolling over, clearly in pain, dropping the chair.

Knots: “No! No! Not that!”

Sharper: “My God! David Striker-“

Knots: “You’re not supposed to use a cheese grater down there!”

The crowd continues to oh and Kim walks over and Striker holds himself, clearly in pain, kneeling. He leans up and Kim walks over and places the grater along his forehead and runs it across. The crowd ohs as Striker drops to the mat, kicking the mat in pain.

Sharper: “And raking it across his face. Turning his face into shredded cabbage!”

Striker grimaces as he looks up, blood coming from his forehead. Kim then pulls him up to be looking up while still kneeling and she starts to grind the cheese grater into the forehead of Striker. Striker yells in pain as he grimaces in pain. She then runs it across again and he rolls over, holding his face. Kim then steps forward and lips the grater in the opposite direction, to avoid hurting herself. The crowd ohs as some chants of “You sick fuck!” can be heard. Kim laughs a bit as Striker turns, blood coming down his face. Kim walks around and grabs the barbed wire wrapped chair.

Kim: “This was mine!”

Striker slowly gets up and Kim slams the barbed wire wrapped chair into his back. He arches his back in pain and Kim throws the chair down. Kim then watches him before he gets up and Kim runs past him, bounces off the ropes and grabs him and hits a running STO into the barbed wire chair. The crowd ohs. Kim then pins him on top of the chair!

Striker kicks out and rolls over, cuts seen on his back. He rolls over as Kim rolls of. She looks around as the crowd continues to cheer.

Sharper: “And all of that weight on the barbed wire.”

Knots; “Just reminding him of the hell he’s in for. If he can feel anything besides his jewels!”

Striker rolls over as Kim then turns and places the barbed wire bat onto the opened, mangled chair. She turns and grabs the second bat and does the same before turning and grabbing the barbed wire wrapped chair. Striker slowly starts to get up and Kim sees the pile of pain and runs into the ropes and Striker turns right in front of the pile and Kim ducks around and grabs him before managing to hit a German suplex into the pile of barbed wire objects and broken steel chairs. The crowd ohs as Striker rolls over to his side. Kim crawls over and hooks the leg.

2!

Striker gets his shoulder up. Kim looks up and smiles and nods.

Kim: “I like him!”

Kim then rolls out of the ring. She then heads over to the shopping carts but instead of going to hers, she stops at his. She then looks in and grabs a kendo stick and throws it behind her. She throws a trash can lid back too before grabbing a completed Lego Deathstar. She looks at the lego set before looking at the crowd and then back at Striker.

Sharper: “Is that?”

Knots: “What…why? I guess a Death Star for a deathmatch!”

Kim then turns and lunges and breaks the Lego Deathstar onto the head of Striker. Striker falls back as the lego set shatters. The crowd ohs. Striker rolls over and holds his face a bit. Kim slides in and gets up and rubs her hands together. Striker slowly starts to get stir and get up. He staggers up and stumbles around before Kim lunges and goes for the Morrigan’s Wrath. Striker ducks side steps, grabs her in a half nelson and hits the Hard Justice into the pile of barbed wire objects. The crowd ohs as Kim grimaces in pain. She rolls over. Striker turns and grabs her and places her head in the barbed wire and starts to grind her face into the pile. The crowd ohs again as he does this for several moments before Kim pushes away and rolls to the floor, blood continuing to flow down her face. Striker stumbles around and sees the coil that Kim had brought in and grabs it. The crowd roars as he starts to wrap it around him. Kim winces on the floor and starts to get up as Striker keeps putting it around and climbing up to the top rope. The crowd looks on roaring and in awe before Striker throws himself into Kim, driving himself, and the barbed wire, into her. He rolls through, the barbed wire tearing on both of them. The crowd cheers.

Sharper: “The barbed wire! Ripping and tearing both of their skins!”

Knots: “This…they….they’re nuts.”

Striker winces in pain and rolls over and out of the barbed wire. Kim remains down on the ground. Both are covered in blood as Striker gets up and looks around before staggering over to the ring. He leans on it before looking up and then looking under the ring. He starts to dig around before then stopping and smiling. He turns and pulls out a bed of nails. The crowd roars. He looks around and hears the roar. He then lifts it up and slides it into the ring. The crowd roars and looks on as a “This is Awesome” chant begins. Striker walks around the ring and over to Kim and grabs her and knees her in the ribs. He then rolls her into the ring. The crowd roars as Striker slides in. He then looks at Kim before motioning for her to get up. Kim crawls forward, seeing the nails, smiling a bit. She then gets up and David Striker grabs her and pulls her in, setting up for the Equivalent Exchange. The crowd roars as he then bends her back, but Kim spins out and then pulls him into a Morrigan’s Wrath superkick and Striker falls back onto the bed of nails, yelling out in pain. The crowd ohs. Kim falls to the apron. She then crawls to the corner.

Sharper: “Oh God! Onto the nails!”

Knots: “What are we doing here?”

Sharper: “Striker laying on a bed of nails. Kim…she’s going to the top.”

Knots: “No…no!”

Kimberly Williams climbs up the corner and to the top rope. She looks over at David Striker as she gets to the top rope and smiles. She then stands up and looks around before turning around only to hit the Chaos Theory into Striker, onto the bed of nails. The crowd ohs. Kim stays on him, pinning him on the nails!

2!

3!

The bell sounds. Kim then rolls off. The crowd cheers.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, and STILL SCW Underground Champion, Kimberly Williams!”

Sharper: “My God! A war. An absolute war!”

Knots: “And Kim retains in it.”

Sharper: “Striker wins in non-title. Tonight, Kim wins-“

Knots: “Wait…you don’t think….we may get a rubber match.”

Sharper: “I don’t know. I don’t know if they can keep going. But my God, what a battle here tonight at Retribution.”

Kimberly Willaims grimaces in pain and slowly gets up. She then smiles as she fights through it and is handed her title. She holds it over her head before turning back to Striker and smiling and nodding. Kim then stumbles over to the ropes and looks around as the official checks on Striker. We see cuts on his back from the nails, as he turns to his side. Kimberly plays to the crowd, celebrating some more as the scene cuts away.

Backstage, we see Destiny Page, without Jaina, in the interview area. Amy Chastaine is with her.

Page: “Destiny Page here and we just saw Kimberly Williams and David Striker have another war. Something in part because of you and Scott and your actions to help rid SCW of James Evans. But now, you’re facing Scott and this is your chance to maybe correct her impression of you?”

Chastaine: “I don’t know about that. Scott seems to be the type of person that has a clear idea of what she thinks and it’s hard to dissuade her. Fine. That’s fine. She wants to make enemies for no reason. But I’m not going to apologize anymore for doing what I felt was the right thing. People stand aside. They do nothing too often in our world. I refuse to do that. And if that makes me a target for Scott, so be it. But that just means I’m going to fight back and tell her how wrong she is. She has a World Title shot, right?”

Page: “Yes.”

Chastaine: “People doubted her after she beat Xander. Gavin had to get involved. Tonight, let’s hope there’s no such problem. But I hope Scott has thought about it. I’m sure she has. What if she loses? I may not be Deanna, but I know her well and I’ve watched her closely. And I don’t know if Scott can afford more glass ceilings. And people can get in my face about how I’m back after a retirement. I’m not going to roll over. Scott is going to have to beat me to move past me. And that’s not going to happen without a fight!”

Page: “Thanks for your time. Good luck. Back to the ring.”

We cut back to ringside.

Amy Chastaine vs. “The One” Kirsten Scott

The arena goes dark and there the crowd begins to buzz wondering who is coming out.  As "Sonne" by Rammstein begins to play, lasers begin to shoot across the arena to the beat, and a spotlight illuminates The Oracle on the entry way, back to the crowd, holding fingers up with the opening count-up.

Eins...

Drei...

Vier...

Fünf...

Sechs...

Acht...

Neun...

As she holds up the ninth finger, the song stops the countdown at its crescendo, and she throws her arms out to the side...

AUS!

Spotlights begin to swirl around the arena as the song continues, and "The One" Kirsten Scott walks out from backstage flanked by Hailey.  The pair end up on both sides of The Oracle, who turns around and spins to the opposite side of Kirsten from Hailey.  Kirsten and her compatriots begin their walk to the ring together with "The One" staring directly at her ultimate location inside the squared circle.

Philips: “Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is scheduled for one fall. Introducing first, from your Personal Nightmare, she is “The One” Kirsten Scott!”

As they reach the ring, they walk along to the hard camera side, and Kirsten jumps up onto the ring apron and stands up.  Hailey goes into the ring, directly behind her friend, jumping on the middle rope, and The Oracle stands on the floor directly beneath Kirsten.  Kirsten slowly raises her arm beside her, pointing one index finger in her own direction, while Hailey and The Oracle begin doing the same in Kirsten's direction as well, all signifying her former name, and now nickname, of "The One."

After taking a moment to stare into the hard cam, Kirsten swings her arm out in a "DELETE" motion, before quickly sliding into the open ropes from being stood on by Hailey, and immediately goes to her corner.  Hailey quickly follows, as does The Oracle from the outside.  Both of "The One's" compatriots stand with her, advising her and talking to her, as she awaits the bell ringing to start her match.

Philips: “And her opponent…”

Blue and white lights flash in time with the music and the words up on the Tron:

"Tear me down, it won't build you up"

Amy Chastaine comes through the curtain just as the tempo of New Years Day's "Relentless" picks up with the chorus, the lights flashing to keep up. With one hand she flips her hair out of her face, with a confident grin, gazing out at the cheering crowd.

"Never gonna stop

Won't quit till I'm not breathing

Chase me all you want

It won't be enough"

Amy starts down the ramp, greeting and touching hands with a few fans along the way.

Phillips: “Making her way to the ring, from New Orleans, Louisiana... Amy Chastaine!”

"Never gonna stop

Even if these wounds keep bleeding

I'm not giving up

It won't be enough"

The music continues as she gets into the ring. Amy hops up on the apron, and enters the ring between the bottom and middle ropes. She goes to the corner near the ring steps, and hops up on the middle ropes, one hand in the air overhead, and the other on her hip, posing for the cheering fans. She hops down and runs to the opposite corner, doing the same pose. Amy then hops down as the music fades out and the lights return to normal.

Sharper: “This has become a notably personal match. Kirsten Scott wanting Amy Chastaine to stay out of her issue with James Evans. Amy refusing to just allow James Evans to do what he has done in the past.”

Knots: “Scott’s a lone wolf. Amy has a history of getting involved. They both meant well, but it’s now led to this moment and Amy Chastaine is unapologetic. Scott just is angry!”

Amy Chastaine gains an early advantage with three quick arm drags, a hip toss, and then a dropkick.  Amy with a snapmare takedown followed by a dropkick to the back Scott’s head.  She goes to apply a sleeper.  Kirsten fights to her knees and then back to her feet.  Amy switches to a side headlock.  She keeps that wrenched in as tightly as she can before Kirsten eventually counters into a belly to back suplex.  Kirsten follows that up with a clothesline and a spinning heel kick.  She whips Amy into the ropes but Amy comes back with a head scissors takedown, throwing The One for a loop and ultimately rolling to the outside.

Sharper: “Chastaine using her agility. Takedown to the outside.”

Knots: “And Scott may just be getting frustrated. And that’s both good and bad. We know she has a temper.”

Amy watches as The One pulls herself back to her feet.  She charges and leaps through the ropes with a suicide dive taking down Scott.  The crowd wild.  Amy pulls Scott back to her feet but The One strikes with a European uppercut, a few chops, and then kicks Amy’s knee.  The One then whips Amy, sending her knees first into the steel steps, nearly dislodging them.  The referee begins a count…

The One with a snap suplex to Amy on the outside!

Kirsten rolls back into the ring to break the count before rolling right back outside.  Kirsten pulls Amy back up and whips her knees first into the steel steps again.

Sharper: “Oh! To the steel steps. Going for Amy’s knees. And we know the history there.”

Knots: “And Scott clearly does too!”

Kirsten pulls Amy back to her feet and rolls her back into the ring.  The One pulls Amy back up to her feet and snaps off a dragon screw.  Immediately The One steps through into a leg grapevine.  Amy doesn’t give up, not yet.  After about ten seconds she reaches the ropes, forcing a break.  But Kirsten keeps the hold locked in for a little longer, waiting for the referee to administer a count;

2!

3!

4!

Finally The One breaks the hold.  She pulls Amy back up and delivers a snap suplex, rolls through, snaps off a second snap suplex, hangs on, rolls through, and then delivers a falcon arrow!  She covers…

2…Kickout!

Sharper: “One by one and Amy Chastaine in trouble. No! Just kicking out.”

Knots: “She’s going to have to figure this out. Scott may be just see her as a punching bag.”

Kirsten places the leg she had been working on earlier and drapes it across the bottom rope.  Kirsten leaps up and drops her entire body weight on the leg.  She repeats this two more times.  Kirsten pulls Amy back up to her feet.  She takes hold of the leg and attempts a dragon screw but Amy counters with an enziguri.  Amy pushes herself back to her feet.  Kirsten pushes herself back to her feet.  The One goes for a clothesline but Amy ducks and then hooks Kirsten, dropping her with an inverted ddt.  Amy immediately goes into a fujiwara arm bar.

Sharper: “And Amy going for the arm. Trying to do a lot of damage in a short time and Fujiwara will help there.”

Knots: “Scott trying to get out. Trying to get to the ropes. To anything.”

The One refuses to quit, fighting to get to the ropes.  After several seconds she eventually reaches the ropes, forcing a break.  Amy pulls her back to her feet and locks in a hammerlock, going right back to the arm.  After about ten seconds The One manages to reverse into a hammerlock of her own.  But Amy quickly counters back into the hammerlock.  After about ten seconds The One drives several elbows into Amy’s face to force the break.  Scott hits the ropes and connects with a spear but she accidentally used her injured arm and she isn’t able to follow up.

Sharper: “Scott with the spear, but Amy’s focus on the arm doing her a favour.”

Knots: “I don’t think she’s thinking that in the moment, but later on, if she wins this, that could be big.”

Eventually The One manages to get to her feet, as does Amy.  Scott kicks Amy’s knee again, causing to crumble to the mat.  The One then applies a single leg crab.  Amy refuses to give in, she fights to reach the ropes.  She does manage to reach the ropes and force a break but again Kirsten refuses to let go, waiting on the referee’s mandatory count.

Finally The One breaks the hold. She drags Amy back out to the center and tries to lock it in again but Amy counters with a small package…

…3NO!

The One pops back up quickly and again kicks at Amy’s knee. Then she takes Amy and drops her with The Hidden Blade.  Scott covers, hooking the leg…

…3NO!

Scott pulls Amy back up to her feet and goes for it again but Amy counters with a twist of fate, Vortex!  Amy rolls over to the ropes and uses them to pull herself back up.  The One pushes herself back to her feet.  The One approaches Amy to attack again but Chastaine drills her with Lightning Strike, a superkick!

Sharper: “Lightning Strike!”

Knots: “Lexy Chapel just cheered! Superkicks solve everything!”

Amy pulls The One back up and snaps off a belly to belly suplex.  She snaps off a second belly to belly suplex.  Amy then snaps off a release fisherman’s suplex.  Amy goes back into the fujiwara arm bar.  The One is just as intent on refusing to give up.  She fights to the ropes, fights through the pain, and reaches the ropes after several more seconds, forcing a break.

Sharper: “And another armbar. Trying to make Scott tap.”

Knots: “Trying to hyperextend and make that arm bend in ways its not supposed to!”

Amy pulls Scott back to her feet and attempts a German suplex but she blocks it.  The One with a standing switch into a release German suplex of her own.  The One drills Amy with a shining wizard. Scott pulls Amy back to her feet and goes for Downward Spiral but she cannot complete the move, her arm gives way.  Amy then delivers a spinning heel kick and a bulldog takedown.

Sharper: “The arm again playing a roll. Amy countering. Down goes Scott.”

Knots: “Imagine if you’re Scott. You have her up and your arm is now holding everything back!”

Amy with a swinging neck breaker.  Amy then pulls The One up to her feet and delivers a German suplex, bridging for the pin…

…3NOOO! The One just barely kicks out!

Amy pulls The One back to her feet.  She hoists her up, going for Event Horizon, but The One slips free, and then locks Amy in a rear naked choked, adding pressure with a leg scissors.

Sharper: “Scott with a choke! And the scissors! Leg scissors.”

Knots: “Amy! Use your elbows. Your pointy elbows!”

The One keeps the hold locked in as tightly as she can, trying to make Amy pass out.  But Chastaine fights in the hold, refusing to quit.  After about ten seconds she reaches the ropes, forcing the break.  The One breaks the hold and tosses Amy to the outside.  Scott goes out after her.  The One pulls Amy to her feet and attempts a Downward Spiral on the outside but again her arms give way from the damage Amy did to them earlier.  Amy slips out of it and then dropkicks The One in the back sending Scott slamming face first into the steel ring post.  Amy with a belly to belly suplex to The One on the outside!

Sharper: “Oh! Suplex on the floor!”

Knots: “Scott’s going to end up with a hurt arm and a few bruises!”

Amy pulls Kirsten back to her feet and rolls her back into the ring.  She rolls back into the ring and covers, hooking a leg…

2…

…3NOOO! The One just barely kicks out!

Amy pulls Kirsten up.  She goes for Lighting Strike again but The One catches the foot and snaps off a dragon screw.  The One then steps through into a figure four.

Sharper: “Now to the legs! The One with the figure four.”

Knots: “And Amy! That knee again.”

Sharper: “But Amy knows how to fight out. She can hopefully figure it out.”

Amy fights to try and reach the ropes.  She is fingertips away when Kirsten drags her back to the center of the ring.  Still Chastaine won’t quit.  She tries to turn Scott over.  Kirsten fights it but to no avail.  Amy does manage to turn Kirsten over, reversing the pressure!  Kirsten quickly scrambles to the ropes, forcing a break.

Sharper: “And Amy turns it over! Scott getting to the ropes to prevent any damage.”

Knots: “A lot of back and forth.”

Kirsten scrambles back to her feet.  She walks into another superkick from Amy.  Amy hops up onto the top turnbuckle.  She leaps off with BlackOut…but Scott moves out of the way just in time!  Kirsten pulls Amy back to her feet and goes for Downward Spiral one more time…this time she hits it successfully!  She rolls over and hooks Amy’s leg…

…3!

The bell sounds.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, The One Kirsten Scott!”

Sharper: “Scott wins with the Downward Spiral, fighting through the pain.”

Scott turns, clutching his arm. Scott winces before starting to get up. The official goes to raise her arm. Scott pulls it away. She then gets up and walks around the ring. Amy Chastaine remains down as Scott glances back at her. She glares at her before dropping through the ropes and down to the floor.

Sharper: “Scott almost just done with her. Moving on.”

Knots: “We’ve seen that from her in the past. And remember, Scott has a World Title shot.”

Sharper: “If she takes it. She said to get past Retribution…”

Knots: “We’re going to see!”

Scott slowly is rejoined by her entourage. They then start to head to the back. The camera focuses on her as she makes her exit.

Sharper: “Kirsten Scott defeating the Hall of Famer. A World Title shot likely in her future.”

Knots: “So now to see who has an Adrenaline Title match in his future?”

The Retribution logo comes up on the screen as a still for Simon Lyman vs. Adam Brock follows.

Sharper: “We’re going to hang a contract over the ring. If Simon Lyman wants a rematch against Bree Lancaster, he’ll need to earn it, but Adam Brock is going to look to take him down and take it for himself.”

A recap video plays showing the history between Simon Lyman and Adam Brock.

Simon Lyman vs. Adam Brock

Ladder Match

Number One Contendership for the SCW Adrenaline Championship

The scene cuts to show a clipboard with a contract hanging above the ring. The bell sounds.

Phillips: “The following contest is a ladder match for a SCW Adrenaline Championship opportunity!”

The crowd roars.

“Watching sand fall...

And listening for the knock
Upon my door (Listen)
And waiting...
For Promised Land”

FWOOSH!!! A series of red, gold and silver fireworks go off at the top of the ramp in a shimmering cascade. A roaming spotlight seeks to penetrate the darkness and find something... Or, perhaps, SOMEONE. A momentary silence, then...

POW!

Four blue fireworks go off and engulf the stage in their light. And as they die away, the darkness falls once more. But it’s not complete... The roaming spotlight catches glimpses of movement, but it’s too indistinct.

“Standing deep in life
My ring of brass
Lay rusting on the floor
Is this all?
Cause it’s not
What I expected!”

BAM!

White-hot green fireworks go off now and this time the spotlight DOES catch someone. Standing there amid the ghastly green glow is the one and only “Wolfsbane” Adam Brock! The fans erupt in a cavalcade of screaming and applause that seems to catch him off guard, but only for a second.

Phillips: “First, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he is Wolfsbane, Adam Brock!”

He grins wickedly and makes his way down the ramp, slapping hands with the fans and pausing to hug a little boy. One overenthusiastic fan grabs him around the neck in a big hug and he makes a big deal out of it, letting one leg go forward in a comical display of being snared. Then he turns around and gives her a huge hug in return before she lets him go. He walks around some of the ladders set up in the entrance way. He grins and jogs up the ring steps before grabbing the top rope and catapulting over it to stand in the middle of the ring. Once his feet make contact, the cleverly disguised pyro containers secured to the ringposts go off and send showers of purple confetti fireworks all over the crowd. It showers down over him as he turns a slow circle in the ring, basking in the cheers of the adoring fans. When the last of the confetti touches down, Adam does one final turn to face the ramp, hands resting on his legs above his knees. He then steps back and looks up at the contract over the ring.

Sharper: “Adam Brock and Simon Lyman have been at each other’s throats for all of 2024 so far and Simon Lyman may have won at Body, Heart, and Soul, but he had to use every trick in the book.”

Knots: “Yeah, but a win is a win!”

Sharper: “And therefore, a loss is a loss. Lyman coming up short against Bree Lancaster for the Adrenaline Championship, but he says he can beat Lancaster. Brock took issue and now we’re looking to settle both claims.”

Jesus He Knows Me” by Ghost plays throughout the arena. The crowd boos as the lights flash around the stage. A few moments pass before Simon Lyman walks out from the back in his wrestling robe. He looks around and poses to the crowd as pyro shoots from both sides of the stage, which only draws further boos. Lyman glances at the ring before nodding and starts to head to the ring. He looks at the ladders and walks past them.

Phillips: “His opponent, from Columbus, Ohio, he is Simon Lyman!”

Lyman walks down to the ring and goes to the steel steps. He walks up them and onto the apron. He looks around and nods before stepping into the ring. He steps forward and extends his arms again. The crowd boos. Lyman looks around, seemingly annoyed by this response. Simon then undoes the strap of the robe before sliding the robe down and turning and spinning it around. He looks out at the crowd before placing the robe over the top rope to the floor. He then stretches out against the ropes.

Sharper: “And Simon Lyman with this odious approach, being a saviour and…”

Knots: “Hey! Someone has to do it and our previous saviours have left a lot to be desired.”

Sharper: “Give me a break!”

Lyman then turns and runs at Brock. Brock however sidesteps in and grabs him by the head and throws him up and over the top rope. The bell sounds as Lyman hits the floor and rolls into the barricade. Brock then drops down and exits the ring. He heads over to Lyman as he gets up and nails him with a hard right and then another and another and another. Lyman falls to a knee. Brock then grabs him and pulls him up before running him over and driving him face first into the steel steps. Lyman pops up and falls back. Brock then looks around as the ladder lean against the barricade, while also set up in the entrance.

Sharper: “Brock ready as he is working over Lyman on the floor.”

Knots: “Why wouldn’t he just accept Lyman’s offer of salvation!”

Sharper: “He responded with his own offer of not tolerating his BS!”

Lyman gets up and Brock kicks him in the ribs. He then turns and whips him into the ringpost. Lyman spins off and down to the mats. He rolls over, holding his arm. He grimaces and turns to the announce table. Brock follows up and stomps him in the chest once and then again and again. Lyman covers up as Brock then kicks at him.

Brock: “You’re not getting that! If I can do anything, it’s going to be that!”

Brock then kicks Lyman again. Brock turns and heads over to the barricade and grabs one of the ladders. The crowd roars seeing it.

Sharper: “And this could be over quickly. Brock just attacking Lyman and now going for the ladder.”

Knots: “You okay, Lyman?”

Sharper: “Hand him some water.”

Knots: “Want some water?”

Sharper: “Stop it!”

Brock turns and drags it over, but Lyman then jumps up and dropkicks the ladder back into the face of Brock. Brock falls back, the ladder falling to lean against the ring. Brock winces and touches his face, looking for blood. Lyman stirs, wincing a bit. He then turns and grabs Brock and lifts him up and then runs him into the ladder. Brock hits off it and leans to the announce table. Lyman turns and looks back before then grabbing the ladder and lifting it up and throwing it down onto the table. It bounces off as Brock moves out of the way. The crowd ohs. Lyman turns and follows up on Brock as Brock turns and Lyman nails him with a hard right. He hits another. Brock stumbles to the barricade. Lyman then backs up and turns and runs at him, but Brock gets a boot up.

Sharper: “Brock catching Lyman. Boot to the face.”

Knots: “Look out for the ladder on the Spanish table there.”

Brock then runs at Lyman, but Lyman lifts him up and turns, driving him face first into the top of the Spanish announce table an the ladder that sits there. Brock falls back as the crowd ohs. Lyman smirks as he looks around.

Knots: “I told him to look out!”

Sharper: “And Brock is hurt. Lyman luring him in for that. Playing off the anger Brock has for Simon Lyman.”

Lyman then turns and stomps Brock in the head, once and then again, and again. He turns and grabs the ladder and lifts it up before sliding it into the ring. Lyman rolls in after. He then gets up and looks around smugly. He then starts to get up and grabs the ladder. He opens it up and places it in the middle of the ring. He then starts to climb up the ladder as the crowd boos. Lyman takes his time as Brock get sup and rolls into the ring. He then gets up and runs over and grabs Lyman by the leg. He pulls him down. Lyman turns and throws a punch. Brock blocks it and kicks him in the ribs. He then whips him into the corner. Brock runs over and hits a running forearm. He grabs Lyman and then goes to whip him out, but Lyman spins through and sends Brock into the open ladder, causing it to fall to the mat and Brock to drop to the mat, holding his face.

Sharper: “Brock thrown into the ladder.”

Knots: “Hope he likes the taste of steel!”

Sharper: “I doubt it. Lyman however is making him taste it multiple times.”

Lyman then turns and stomps Brock in the back once and then again and again. Brock rolls ot the floor and lands on the floor. Lyman then looks at the ladder before lifting it. He turns and then throws it over the top rope, while still open, and down onto Brock. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “Good God! Just throwing that ladder onto Brock.”

Knots: “Well now he’s going to have to wake up with the taste of steel!”

Lyman turns and smirks before dropping down to the floor on another side of the ring. He grabs another ladder and lifts it up before sliding it into the ring. He then slides in. Lyman gets up and grabs the ladder. He unfolds this one and places it under the contract. He then starts to climb up the ladder. He smirks again, this time climbing with a bit more urgency. He gets up about halfway and reaches up. He touches the contract before reaching up again and Brock slides into the ring with the first ladder, now folded up. He then gets up and throws the ladder end first at Lyman, catching him in the side. Lyman falls to the mat. The crowd ohs. Brock then looks around, taking his ladder and placing it into the corner. He steps forward, pushing the ladder in the middle of the ring over. Lyman rolls over, holding his ribs and Brock nails him with a hard right and then another as he gets up. Brock then grabs Lyman and whips him hard into the ladder set up in the corner. The crowd ohs as Lyman hits back first and then bounces off before leaning back onto it. Brock looks at him and then runs at him and jumps up with a huge leg lariat, sandwiching Lyman into the ladder. Lyman drops to the mat as Brock rolls down.

Sharper: “Brock throwing himself at Lyman. The leg lariat and Lyman had no where to go.”

Knots: “You’re supposed to climb the ladders, not use them as a weapon!”

Sharper: “What the hell was Lyman doing?”

Knots: “Brock was obstructing him!”

Lyman rolls over and winces as Brock grabs the ladder. Lyman gets to his hands and knees and Brock lifts the ladder up and slams it into the back of Lyman. The crowd ohs. Lyman drops to the mat. Brock then lifts it back up, turning and holding the ladder end down. He straddles Lyman and drives the ladder into the stomach of Lyman. He lifts it up and driving it back down into the stomach of Lyman. Brock then looks down and lifts it up again and drives it, a third time, in to the stomach of Lyman. Lyman rolls over, holding his stomach in pain. Brock then looks at him and places the ladder onto Lyman. Brock then turns and exits to the apron. He climbs up to the top rope. The crowd roars. He looks at Lyman, but Lyman then grits his teeth and turns, using the ladder as a spear and driving it into the ribs of Brock as he stands up. The crowd ohs. Lyman however then places the ladder on its legs and slowly tilts it back to be upright and Brock ends up draped over the top, balancing barely on his stomach and chest.

Knots: “A miracle! Lyman is performing a miracle!”

Sharper: “Lyman has Brock up on the top of that ladder. He’s just stuck there. He fell that way and….”

Lyman looks at him and smiles before then pushing the ladder forward and Brock flips forward, landing on his back, the ladder ending up on top of him. The crowd ohs. Brock rolls over in pain. Lyman leans in the corner, holding his stomach.

Sharper: “Brock landed on his head and neck!”

Brock turns and rolls to the ropes. He then grabs at the ropes as Lyman grabs the ladder and lifts it up and then runs it over and spears Brock in the chest with it. Brock falls to the mat. Lyman then turns and places it down against the ropes. Lyman turns and pushes the opened ladder back up and into the middle of the ring. Lyman then starts to climb the ladder and he reaches up. Brock grabs at the ropes and then fights up to his feet. He then runs over and jumps to the ladder Lyman placed against the ropes and then just nails Lyman in the back with a vicious forearm. Lyman spins off. The crowd ohs. Brock then falls over and looks around. Lyman slowly gets up and Brock grabs him from behind in a full nelson. He then looks over and hoists him up and slams him down onto the leaning ladder with the Silent Screams. Lyman bounces off and yells in pain.

Knots: “There’s not silent about that!”

Sharper: “Silent Screams on the ladder! Lyman just carelessly threw it down and Brock made him pay!”

Lyman continues to yell in pain. Brock then lifts up the ladder and slots it to sit on one of the rungs. The crowd roars as Brock staggers over and Lyman holds his back, in pain. Brock then grabs him and lifts him up and drops him face first onto the raised ladder with a flapjack. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “And Lyman again into the ladder. This time, face first!”

Knots: “Why?! Go for the contract! Why try to hurt him!”

Sharper: “Because he can.”

Lyman rolls over, holding his face in pain. Brock then turns and spins around the ladder. He starts to climb up the ladder and then uses the bridge he’s made to steady himself. He then starts to climb up. The crowd looks on as Brock reaches up and he now touches the contract. He tries again and gets up a bit closer. Lyman then gets up and stumbles over. He then exits to the apron and then climbs up onto the ladder. Brock turns and sees him. Lyman gets up and Brock kicks him in the face. Lyman falls to a knee. Brock turns and grabs him and nails him with a hard right and then another. Lyman remains on a knee, wincing before he low blows Brock. The crowd ohs. Brock falls onto Lyman. Lyman tries to get out, but Brock grabs him and the turn spin off and go over the top rope and drop down to the floor, both landing on the mats hard. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “Lyman tried to take a shortcut, but Brock had the wherewithal to lean on him.”

Knots: “Is he okay? That was a hell of a fall!”

Sharper: “From the top rope to the floor. Both going over. Brock making sure to take Lyman with him and Lyman gains nothing from the cheap shot.”

Knots: “While hurting the hell out of himself. Is that how much damage he wants to do too! To himself?”

Brock and Lyman are shown down the mat. Both hurt.

REPLAY:

We see Lyman low blow Brock. Brock however falls forward and Lyman gets up, only for Brock to push off with his feet and both go off the ladder and plummet to the floor. The crowd ohs. The Retribution logo comes up on the screen before we see it again from a different angle.

The Retribution logo comes up on the screen before we see Brock crawling over to the ring. Lyman crawls away though. Brock grabs at the side of the ring and starts to pull himself up. He then staggers before seeing Lyman starting to get up. He staggers forward and Brock runs over and nails him from behind. Lyman stumbles forward and into the first ladder set up in the entrance way. Lyman falls over. Brock then looks at him before looking at the contract and then turning back to Lyman. He then grabs Lyman. He pulls him up and drags him to the ring. He rolls him in.

Sharper: “Brock had a chance…why are you bringing him to the ring?”

Knots: “Well there Adam. A bit arrogant are we?”

Sharper: “Or maybe he wants to shut up Lyman for good!”

Lyman rolls over and Brock turns and grabs a third ladder. He then slides into the ring with it. Lyman rolls over and stirs and Brock slides the ladder in. He then kicks it into position before Lyman gets up and swings, only for Brock to scoop him up. Brock looks back and hits the Full Moon onto the ladder. Lyman grimaces in pain and remains on the ladder. Brock turns and looks around. He then exits to the apron. He then keeps his eye on Lyman as he gets up to the top rope. Brock scales to the top and the crowd roars. Brock then looks at Lyman and dives off going for a swanton bomb, but Lyman rolls out of the way. Brock lands hard on the ladder. He rolls through, grimacing in pain, arching his back. He get up, more from instinct and turns as Lyman hits the Leading the Revolution and Brock falls through the ropes to the apron.

Sharper: “Brock missed! Right into the ladder!”

Knots: “And Lyman didn’t!”

Sharper: “Leading the Revolution! Brock may be out!”

Lyman looks around before turning and grabbing at the ladder set up between the ropes and the ladder. Lyman slowly starts to pull himself up onto it. He then winces and looks around and smiles. He then slowly starts to get up, standing up. The crowd boos as Lyman gets to his feet and looks around. He then points to him.

Lyman: “Bree! I’m coming to save you! And save the Adrenaline Championship!”

Lyman extends his arms as the crowd boos loudly. Lyman smirks and turns and moves to the ladder. He then starts to climb up the ladder. Lyman gets up closer and closer and grabs at the contract. The crowd boos as Lyman looks around, smiling only for Brock then grits his teeth and springboard to the top rope and then climb up the ladder, jumping up, grabbing the head of Lyman, spinning through with a variation of the Call of the Wolf, driving Lyman head first into the bridging ladder and Brock goes back first. Both bounce off and roll in opposite directions, both ending up in a heap on the mat. The ladders then fall over, narrowly missing Lyman. The crowd roars, looking on in awe.

Sharper: “Oh my God! My God! Brock throwing himself at Lyman and driving him face first, head first, into the ladder, while driving himself into it.”

Knots: “Holy crap!”

Sharper: “And both down in a heap! Look at this!”

REPLAY:

The Retribution logo comes up on the screen. We see Brock jumping to the top rope and then climbing up the ladder, vaulting over, grabbing Lyman’s head and spinning through, driving him into the ladder. Both hit the ladder and drop to the mat. The ladders then collapse to the floor. The Retribution logo comes up on the screen again as we see the move from another angle.

The Retribution logo comes up on the screen. We cut back to see Brock and Lyman both down. Chants for “Let’s go Adam!” begin as Brock remains down, looking around. Lyman is down in a heap too. The camera focuses on both before we hear some noise from the crowd. The camera turns to show Autumn Valentine running down from the back. Lexy Chapel is standing in the entrance way, pointing. Valentine slides in as the crowd looks around, many cheering, many booing. Autumn then looks around and then goes to the opposite side of the ladder. She then starts to climb up.

Sharper: “What the hell is Autumn Valentine doing here?”

Knots: “She’s climbing the ladder. It’s exactly what it looks like you blind bastard!”

Sharper: “She is not part of this match. Lexy is desperate! Autumn is desperate!”

Autumn climbs up about half way and starts to get up. She reaches up for the title. Brock, however, looks up and then wills himself to his feet. He then runs over and grabs Autumn. Autumn kicks at him before Brock pulls her down and hits a superkick. The crowd roars.

Knots: “No! Not the superkick! Lexy!”

Sharper: “Superkick solving things there and-! No! NO!”

Lyman then suddenly drills Brock with the Leading the Revolution. Brock falls up and over the top rope, ending up in a heap on the floor. Autumn rolls to the apron. Lyman then stumbles over, a gash appearing in his head from landing on the ladder. Blood dripping down his face. He staggers as he climbs up the ladder. He looks up. The crowd boos loudly.

Sharper: “Don’t tell me! Don’t tell me this son of a bitch is going to dodge this bullet!”

Lyman gets up the ladder and looks around. He then reaches up and grabs the contract and reaches up, unclipping it. He pulls it down as the crowd boos. The bell sounds. Lyman then leans on the top of the ladder, his blood dripping onto the contract.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, and number one contender to the SCW Adrenaline Championship…Simon Lyman!”

Knots: “He did it!”

Sharper: “Autumn coming out and you wonder if Brock could have just focused on the killshot on Lyman…but Lyman had the moment to recover. And bloodied, battered…”

Knots: “But victorious! And Bree! He’s got another shot at you!”

Lyman smiles as he looks around. He extends his arms out as he leans on the ladder. He then staggers down and falls to the ropes. He looks around and looks at the bloodied contract in his hand. Brock remains down on the floor as Autumn holds her jaw. Lexy checks on her as the scene cuts away.

A recap video plays showing the long history between Gavin Taylor and Xander Valentine.

Gavin Taylor vs. Xander Valentine

The lights around the arena begin to flicker as "Whoa Is Me" by Down With Webster starts to play over the arena.

Whoa is me
I'm so whoa
See me decked out from my head to my toe
Whoa is me
I'm so whoa
Everywhere I go I'm a one man show

And the song continues...

The crowd cheers as "All Star" Gavin Taylor steps out from behind the curtain onto the top of the ramp. As he stands in place, posing with his arms outstretched, the chorus of the song plays.

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall and has a thirty minute time limit. First, on his way to the ring, from Los Angeles, California, he is The All-Star, Gavin Taylor!”

Say whoa (whoa)
The more I feel it whoa (whoa)
The more I need it whoa (whoa)
You say whoa
Whoa is me
I'm so whoa

Gavin begins to walk down the ramp with swagger. He smirks as he gets to the ring. Pulling himself to the apron, he hangs out off the ring while holding onto the top rope.

The song continues...

I cheated to get what I got
Stepped all over you self for my spot
I bet you I'm winning, I bet that you're not
I bet you don't see me, I bet you get caught

Gavin pulls himself through the ropes and steps onto the second ropes on the opposite side of the ring from the ramp. He opens his jersey, sliding it off his shoulders as he stretches his arms out. Turning around, he bounces back off the ropes as he watches for his opponent.

Sharper: “Gavin Taylor may have awakened the beast. He’s hoping tonight he can slay the proverbial dragon that his is former teammate, Xander Valentine. And to do that, he intentionally pissed him off.”

Knots: “He’s been on a tear, but why would you risk it. I get it. You want a big win. You want to vault up to the top. But just challenge him and then take the shot in the match.”

Sharper: “Gavin wants to know, is he ready? Can he compete at the top of the SCW card?”

A long church bell rings, once- twice- a third time as the crowd explodes. The lights go out as Xander’s voice echoes out over the sound system, increasing the intensity of the crowd’s roar.

“Never send to know for whom the bell tolls; it tolls for thee.”

The few opening keystrokes of “Soul on Fire” by Last Internationale chimed. A lull before the storm as the crowd seems to calm for only a moment before Delila Paz’s blues dominate the audio.

“Some are born to kill

Others are born to run

Some need to keep on takin'

Till you ain't got none”

A singular light appears before the curtains, on the other side is the outline of a large man. On the screen, we’re shown Xander Valentine holding onto the bars of a prison cell. He starts to bend the bars before the scene blurs.

“But baby, I wasn't built to die

Lay down and be crucified

Nah, no matter how hard they try

To push me down

Still I rise”

“Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)

Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)”

The curtain drops to reveal Xander. A quick salvo of pyros explodes in front of him before he steps through the smoke with an intense look on his face. He goes from one side of the stage to the next, yelling out to the crowd and throwing up his arms. He then stops at the top of the ramp while Artemis steps up from behind him and throws his arm up into the air. Together they start down the ramp, Xander’s gaze affixed on the ring.

Phillips: “His opponent, fighting out of Fort Collins, Colorado, from Rochester, New York, he is the Paragon of Violence, the Executioner…. XANDER F’ING VALENTINE!”

Suffocate me until I am blue

To preserve my bad worldview

Paranoid, All Eyes On Me

Rumours circle, vultures feed

Baby, I wasn't built to die

Lay down and be crucified

Nah, no matter how hard they try

To push me down

Still I rise

Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)

Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)

Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)

Soul on Fire (Soul, Soul, Soul, Soul)

Xander leaps up onto the apron in a single bound. Artemis joins him by slipping below the bottom rope. Xander climbs up over the top rope and marches straight to the far side of the ring. He throws his arms up again, getting a massive pop. He goes to the opposite side and repeats to garner the same response. He hops down from the rope, and jogs into place, waiting for the bell. Artemis leans up and whispers into his ears before departing with a kiss on his neck.

Sharper: “Xander Valentine as focused as we’ve seen him. He’s shown his frustration with some of the decision-making this year.”

Knots: “How do you deal with frustration that you’re not getting the shots? You remove all doubt. You take any threat out. And Xander can do that with Gavin, especially if Gavin is aiming at the top.”

Artemis looks at Gavin as Gavin glances at her. Artemis takes a deep breath before exiting the ring. Xander looks across at Gavin, practically glaring at him. Gavin turns and looks at Xander and nods. The bell sounds. Xander steps forward, bringing his hands up. Gavin steps out and the two head toward one another and Xander swings with a huge haymaker. Gavin ducks and both spin around. Gavin nails Xander with a hard left and then a right before Xander swings again. Gavin ducks and spins around. Xander then lunges at him, moving Gavin back to the corner. Xander grabs at him as Gavin extends his body through the ropes and leans back.

Xander backs up as Gavin slowly leans back in. He looks at Xander as Xander walks around the ring, pacing a bit.

Sharper: “Gavin clearly knew he was about to be just eaten up by Xander there.”

Knots: “Xander is looking to connect and big!”

Gavin looks at Xander as Xander just looks at him, nodding as if saying “You ready?” Gavin then nods and steps forward before then suddenly lunging at and past Xander. Xander misses him and Gavin runs into the ropes and bounces off. Xander turns and Gavin jumps up and nails him with a hard right and then another and another. Xander shoves him back. Gavin rolls through. Xander steps up and grabs at Gavin, but Gavin crawls through the legs of Xander. Xander steps forward and turns around and Gavin hits a dropkick. Xander hits the mat. He then kicks Xander in the knee. He then chops him. The crowd woos.

Sharper: “And Gavin with a second chop!”

Gavin chops Xander again. He then hits a hard right before running into the ropes. He bounces off. Xander goes to lift him up. Gavin spins through and lands behind him. Xander turns around and Gavin hits another dropkick. He goes for the pin.

Knots: “Didn’t wait. He’s not looking to make him think about it. No chance for a counter!”

Gavin gets up and Xander steps up and nails him with a hard right. He then nails him with a left jab to the ribs and then a hard right to the jaw and then nails him again in the ribs before grabbing him and just throwing him out of the corner. Gavin rolls through and gets up. He then moves to his feet only for Xander to lunge and nail him with a hard haymaker. The crowd ohs as Gavin hits the mat. He rolls over, holding his jaw. He then gets to his feet before Xander pulls on Gavin’s hair and pulls him into his knee. Xander then grabs him and scoops him up and holds him up for a moment before slamming him down. Gavin grimaces, holding his lower back. He crawls to the corner. Xander follows up and knees him in the ribs.

Sharper: “He’s not giving Gavin a moment to think.”

Knots: “He wanted a driven, an angry Xander. I hope he’s happy!”

Xander knees him again and again. He then grabs Gavin and goes for a big beal out of the corner, but Gavin flips through and lands on his feet. Xander turns and lunges only for Gavin to hit a straight kick to the stomach and then jump up with a dropkick. Xander rolls over and gets up only for Gavin to run over and dropkick Xander in the knee. He falls to his hands and knees and Gavin jumps up and hits a rocker dropper. Xander rolls to his back. Xander pushes him off. He rolls over as Gavin gets up. Xander manages to get to his feet and Gavin runs at him and nails him with a clothesline, sending him up and over to the floor.

Sharper: “Gavin sending Xander to the floor. He got his opening and isn’t holding back.”

Knots: “Xander landed on his feet though! Didn’t get him to have a rough landing.”

Xander turns to the ring while on the floor. (1) Gavin grabs the top rope. He then vaults over and goes for a vaulting press, but Xander catches him. (2) The crowd roars as Xander turns and rams Gavin Taylor back first into the ringpost. The crowd ohs. (3) Xander then throws him down to the mats. Gavin rolls over in pain. (4) Xander glances at him and grabs him before pulling him back up. He then grabs him again, lifting him up in a bearhug before turning and running him back first into the ringpost again. (5) Gavin leans on Xander, clearly in pain. Xander looks at him. (6) He then grabs his head and spins him around into the ring. Xander slides in after. Gavin rolls over, holding his lower back and he turns around as Xander runs at him and clotheslines him down.

Sharper: “And a clothesline. Xander dropping Gavin again.”

Knots: “Gavin turned around and Xander was right there.”

Sharper: “And now a lateral press.”

Xander goes for the pin.

Gavin bounces off and Xander launches him high into the air. The crowd ohs as Gavin flips through and lands on hard on his back. Artemis looks on, shaking her head. Gavin rolls over, holding his lower back. He gets up and turns around and Xander grabs him by the throat in a double choke. He then goes to throw him across, but Gavin thumbs the eye. The crowd ohs. He then hits the Dependable Roundhouse. Xander staggers and moves to the ropes. Xander shakes it off and moves to Gavin who then dropkicks Xander in the knees. He falls forward. Gavin gets up and runs across the ring, bouncing off and hitting the All-Starmaker. The crowd ohs. Gavin dives onto Xander.

Xander gets his shoulder up.

Sharper: “And only two! Gavin got all of that All-Starmaker, but Xander has a lot left in the tank!”

Knots: “And you could see it. He knew he had to burn through a lot. He had to take advantage.”

Gavin rolls off and looks around. He then pulls himself up, slowing down a bit. Xander turns and Gavin hits an elbow drop to his lower back. Xander rolls over and Gavin gets up and hits a second elbow drop, this one to Xander’s chest. Xander rolls over. Gavin gets up and walks around. He then hoists him up for a powerbomb, but Gavin slides through and counters with a samurai driver! The crowd erupts. Xander rolls over, half out of it. He gets up and Gavin then runs at him and drills him with the Gavin Taylor Lariat!

Knots: “Gavin Taylor Lariat!”

Sharper: “Taylor went for it. Got all of it. Hard impact!”

Gavin just kicks out and rolls through to his stomach as Xander rolls away.

Sharper: “And a kick out! Xander saw the third one coming and made sure to get the hardest impact he could.”

Knots: “This is turning into a match where who fires what shots they have left. They’re going big!”

Sharper: “And Xander now back on Gavin. No chance to give him the opportunity to recover.”

He then gets up and moves to the corner. He pulls himself up to the middle turnbuckle. He looks around and hits a diving elbow drop to the face of Xander. Xander rolls over from the impact. He starts to get up. Gavin Taylor looks around and then moves to the corner. Xander staggers out and Gavin runs at him, but Xander blasts him with a boot to the face. Gavin hits hard. He then pops up and rolls over and bounces chest first off the ropes and backs up into Xander who locks him in a full nelson before hoisting him up and hitting a vicious full nelson suplex. He then hooks the leg.

Gavin gets his shoulder up. Xander looks up at him. He then slowly gets up and looks down at Gavin. Gavin reaches out, still fighting. Xander then suddenly turns and runs into the ropes, bounces off and hits a running senton backsplash. The crowd ohs. Gavin winces in pain.

Sharper: “I’ve never seen Xander do that. A running senton!”

Knots: “Gavin’s wishing he never did it. Jesus! That weight all on him. Can he even breathe?”

Gavin rolls over and coughs as Xander then grabs him. He drags him up by his hair. He then pulls him back and shakes his head before locking in the Fade to Black. The crowd roars as Gavin struggles a bit. Xander keeps trying to get it fully locked in, but Gavin stomps around briefly before then pressing up and backflipping through. He ends up on Xander’s shoulder and kicks his legs before landing on his feet with Xander up in the air. The crowd erupts in cheers as Gavin then manages to change his hold before hitting a tombstone piledriver!

Sharper: “My God! Gavin Taylor just tombstoned Xander Valentine!”

Knots: “Cover him! Gavin! Cover him!”

Gavin turns and hooks the leg.

Xander just gets his shoulder up. The crowd ohs. Gavin rolls off and looks around. He then turns and waits as Xander remains down, slowly rolling over. Gavin then looks at Xander and moves over and locks in a front headlock. He pulls on the arm of Xander and starts to go for the All-Star Stretch, but Xander starts to fight it. Gavin keeps trying to lock it in before Xander manages to get enough space to drill Gavin in the side of the head with a headbutt. Gavin staggers. He spins around and Xander falls back into the ropes. He bounces off. Gavin ducks instinctively, but Xander just runs past him and bounces off the other side and drills Gavin with a running Yakuza kick. Gavin hits hard and backflips through to his stomach. Gavin however doesn’t stay down, fighting up slowly to his hands and knees.

Knots: “Xander tried to take Gavin’s head off.”

Sharper: “And he even confused Gavin. Gavin thought he would fire on the fire run across, but Xander kept going and that threw him off, but Gavin’s not staying down.”

Knots: “He may after this!”

Gavin keeps fighting up as Xander turns to him. Gavin grabs at his legs and uses them to get up, but Xander then grabs him, pulling him up and then shoving him back before drilling him with a short-arm clothesline. Xander moves to the corner and starts to stomp his boot. Gavin rolls over and starts to look out and then stagger up only for Xander to run at him and drill him with a shoulder tackle. Gavin stumbles back into the corner, hitting hard and then staggering out only for Xander to hoist him up in a torture rack. Xander then looks right at the main camera before dropping Gavin with the Valhalla has Fallen. The crowd ohs.

Sharper: “Valhallan has Fallen. Gavin Taylor’s chances have evaporated! The cover!”

Xander turns and covers Gavin.

The bell sounds and “Soul on Fire” starts to play throughout the arena.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, Xander Valentine!”

Xander leans back and looks down at Gavin. He then steps up to his feet. He looks around as the official raises his arm. Artemis enters the ring and joins him as Xander looks around. He then steps up before looking back at Gavin. Artemis leans over him as the official checks on Gavin.

Sharper: “Xander Valentine emphatic here. Gavin Taylor wouldn’t stay down. He showed the hunger, but he awakened the Executioner.”

Knots: “And Xander did what he does best…destroy.”

Xander Valentine glances back as Artemis turns away from Gavin and turns back to Xander. Xander Valentine then looks around the full State Farm Stadium, taking it in before stepping through the ropes. He drops down. Artemis follows.

Sharper: “He’s conquered and he’s moving on. Not even looking back at his former ally.”

Knots: “Artemis did. Maybe she said something, but I hope this was worth it Gavin. I hope it was.”

Xander walks around the ring, Artemis in tow. They then calmly start to walk to the back. Gavin stirs in the ring as the scene cuts away.

A recap video plays of the Pingotti/Frost match on Breakdown that led to the rematch.

Polly Pingotti vs. Deanna Frost

Last Woman Standing

SCW United States Championship

Phillips: “The following contest is a Last Woman Standing Match and is for the SCW United States Championship!”

The SCW United States Championship logo comes across the screen as the fans cheer for the announcement of the match to come. After a moment, a coin can be heard dropping into a coin slot but then there is complete silence, nothing on the SCW big screen appearing.  It is 10 seconds before the beginning of "Prisoner" by Miley Cyrus and Dua Lipa begins to play. The music plays for quite some time and it is not until quite a bit into the song when Polly emerges from the back. The crowd gives off a mixed reaction as Polly looks around the arena and nods. She takes a deep breath as she heads to the ring.

Phillips: “Introducing first, the challenger, from Panguitch, Utah… Polly Pingotti!”

Polly reaches the ring, walking up the steel steps before stepping through the ropes. She walks around the ring as the mixed reaction continues before she turns her focus to the stage, looking determined and ready for battle.

Sharper: “All the way back on the first Breakdown after Body, Heart & Soul, Polly challenged Deanna Frost for the United States Championship in a hotly contested battle. She was unsuccessful on that night, but not without some controversy.”

Knots: “Polly’s arm was under the bottom rope and the referee missed it while counting the fall. She called out Deanna, questioned her integrity, and demanded a rematch where that won’t be a possibility again.”

Sharper: “Tonight, she gets her wish. Last Woman Standing, the only way to win is to incapacitate your opponent to the point where they can’t get back to their feet within a ten count. One way or another, we’ll have a definitive winner after tonight.”

Knots: “And Polly might know a thing or two about how to keep someone down for the count of ten. Let’s not forget, the last time SCW held a Last Woman Standing Match, she donned a mask and threw Alexis Quinne off a scaffold, and we haven’t seen her since!”

The chords of "People Like Us" by Kelly Clarkson fill the arena, causing a roar from the audience as bright, fall leaves seem to blow and fly on the LED screens on and around the ramp. From the back curtain, out runs Deanna Frost, taking in the audience before running to the right side, then the left side, shouting to them in excitement. The 'leaves' follow her as she does. The SCW United States Championship can be seen around her waist. Returning to the middle, Deanna gives a spin on one foot, her arms outstretched, the 'leaves' circling her below her feet.

Phillips: “And her opponent, from Manhattan, New York, she is the SCW United States Champion… Deanna Frost!”

Hearing her name, Deanna stops her spin, side facing the ring, and, with one hand over her heart, her free hand arcs around to point forward, the 'leaves' flying down the ramp and 'circling' the ring LED barriers. Making her way down to the ring, Deanna high-fives fans along the way until she reaches the ring. Sliding under the ring, the redhead jumps to her feet, making her way to the middle ropes and leaning over them, one arm raised to the crowd. She does the same to the other sides of the ring! On the last time, Deanna hops back into the ring as the lights return to normal. She turns and hands off the title to the referee, Michael Constantine, as he holds it above his head before handing it off to the timekeeper.

Sharper: “Deanna Frost has held the United States Championship since Rise to Greatness last year, taking on all comers along the way and taking pride in how far she’s come on her own. That’s a big reason why she agreed that Polly deserved this rematch after the controversy from their last encounter.”

Knots: “We’ve even got senior official Michael Constantine out here for this one after Steve Hollinsworth botched the call last time! Wonder if Selena had a hand in that too like she did making sure Aaron Demitra is donning the stripes for her match later tonight.”

Sharper: “Knock it off Jon. None of this has anything to do with Selena and I think it’s clear Deanna’s undivided attention tonight is on leaving no doubts with a definitive win over Polly.”

Knots: “I’m just saying…”

The bell rings and Polly starts the match off aggressively, charging at Deanna and swinging wildly with a lariat only for Deanna to duck underneath it. She attempts to catch her with a spinning back elbow, but unlike the start of their last encounter, Polly ducks it this time before throwing a front thrust kick that catches Deanna in the chest and sends her back into the corner. Polly quickly follows this up with a clothesline that crushes Deanna against the turnbuckles before she starts hammering away at her, trying to knock her for a loop early on. She grabs Deanna’s arm and goes to irish whip her across the ring, only to pull her back into a short-arm clothesline. As soon as Deanna hits the mat, Polly quickly hops up to the second turnbuckle before jumping off with a pointed elbow drop across the champion’s face! She proceeds to mount Deanna before raining down more shots as Deanna tries to cover up.

Sharper: “Polly is all over Deanna here in the early going of this contest!”

Knots: “She’s determined to prove that she could very well have been U.S. Champion right now had it not been for that botched call!”

Polly eventually gets off of Deanna, pulling her back to her feet by the head before shoving her back into the corner where she begins laying into the champion with repeated kicks to the midsection, the onslaught ultimately forcing Deanna to slump to the mat as Polly continues trying to stomp a mudhole into her. She ultimately backs off, taking a brief moment to assess Deanna’s position before she charges to the opposite corner, bouncing off the turnbuckles like a pinball before she barrels towards Deanna. Polly throws herself at Deanna with a cannonball, but Deanna manages to move out of the corner just in time as Polly hits nothing but the turnbuckles and almost lands on her head! Several fans can be heard gasping and groaning at the impact and landing as Deanna uses the ropes to pull herself back to her feet, shaking her head to clear the cobwebs. Polly does manage to stir and starts pulling herself back up before Michael Constantine can get a proper count going, but she’s barely back to her feet before Deanna stuns her with a standing dropkick that keeps her in the corner!

Sharper: “Polly perhaps getting a little too aggressive there as Deanna just barely avoided that cannonball, and now the champion finally in control.”

Knots: “It was a great idea on Polly’s end to be aggressive early, but that landing looked a little ugly and that’s not the kind of thing you want weighing you down in a match like this.”

Deanna gives Polly a taste of her own medicine as she bombards her with repeated elbow strikes. After she feels she’s given enough of a receipt, she irish whips Polly across the ring where she hits the other corner hard, keeping her stunned just enough for Deanna to charge in and connect with a step-up knee strike! She proceeds to snapmare Polly out of the corner before applying a rear chinlock, knowing she can’t win by submission but trying to just grind Polly down all the same. Polly reaches up, trying to get her hands around Deanna’s head to gain any sort of leverage, but Deanna releases the chinlock before cracking Deanna in the back of the head with an elbow strike. She then runs towards the ropes right in front of her before catching Polly on the jaw with a sliding elbow strike! Polly rolls towards the ropes and ultimately out of the ring, immediately putting her upright and therefore preventing any sort of count from starting.

Sharper: “Deanna rocking Polly with those strikes, paying the challenger back for her own onslaught at the start of this match.”

Knots: “We’re not too deep into the water yet and they’ve both been throwing bomb after bomb, trying to get the edge of having initiated the first count.”

Polly shakes her head as she gets her bearings, muttering something under her breath as she looks at Deanna in the ring, waiting for her to come back in. She slides back in and rushes her, but Deanna goes for a leg sweep that sends Polly facefirst to the mat. Deanna immediately pounces, attempting to get a rear naked choke hooked in, but Polly squirms and fights to prevent it from happening. She eventually manages to slide herself under Deanna to escape, but as she tries to scramble back to her feet, Deanna manages to get her legs wrapped around Polly’s head as she pushes herself up into a handstand, putting her in a headscissors position. Before Deanna can do anything with it, however, Polly winds her leg back before punting Deanna full in the face! The fans give a mixed reaction as Deanna seems to absorb it for a moment before the headscissors loosens and she crumbles to the mat. Michael Constantine moves in to start the count, but Polly actually pushes him back and demands he hold off for a moment as she starts measuring the champion. Deanna carefully begins to crawl back to a vertical base, but as soon as she’s to her hands and knees Polly charges and punts her again, this time in the side of the skull! Polly falls against the ropes and leans back against them as she nods to Constantine that he can start counting now.

Deanna stirs and starts trying to climb back to her feet again, shaking her head to try and clear the haze. While she technically hasn’t broken the count yet, Polly opts not to give her the chance as she runs at her and tries another punt kick. Deanna just barely manages to dodge this one before sweeping Polly’s leg out from under her, causing her to land in a split! Polly looks uncomfortable at the forced flexibility she’d been made to display, and that gives Deanna enough time to recover as she charges and slams into Polly with a swinging back elbow that drops Polly like a ton of bricks! Deanna rolls away as Constantine begins his count.

Deanna manages to climb to her feet at this point, still trying to fully shake off the effects of Polly’s punt kicks.

Polly manages to roll towards the edge of the ring and once again ends up on the floor, managing to land on her feet as she leans against the ring apron, breaking the count.

Sharper: “You said these two were trading bombs early Jon, but I think that may have only been a preview of things to come if that exchange was anything to go by.”

Knots: “Just think… not a single weapon has come into play yet! These two may just beat each other senseless with their bare hands until someone can’t get up!”

Polly locks eyes with Deanna before she starts to pull up the ring skirt, thinking about potentially proving Knots wrong, but she changes her mind and starts pulling herself back into the ring instead. Once she’s through the ropes, Deanna moves in to grab her, but Polly manages to wrap her arms around Deanna’s waist and jerks her through the ropes and out to the floor! Deanna takes a moment to pull herself back to her feet as Polly steps back through the ropes and out to the apron, and as soon as Deanna’s back up she runs along the apron and kicks Deanna in the face! Deanna staggers but ultimately falls back against the barricade to keep from going down and letting the count start. Polly sees this and measures her before getting another running start, throwing herself off the apron and sandwiching Deanna against the barricade with a crossbody! Both women go down, but Polly ends up sort of draped over the barricade which is what prevents Michael Constantine from including her as he climbs out of the ring to begin the count.

Deanna manages to use the barricade to pull herself back to her feet as Polly looks over at her, stunned and annoyed.

Sharper: “Polly using her own body as a weapon, doing anything she can to walk out of here tonight as the new United States Champion!”

Knots: “Deanna wants to prove herself and get people to stop comparing her to Selena? Matches like this are where she can truly put up or shut up.”

Both women lean against the barricade for a moment before Polly just swings with a hard clothesline that sends Deanna tumbling over the barricade and into the front row! The fans in that spot start to clear out as Polly runs a hand through her hair, trying to figure out her next move. She starts to climb over the barricade to meet Deanna in the crowd, but before she’s actually cleared it, Deanna suddenly surges up and catches her with a european uppercut! Polly is stunned as she’s perched on the barricade, and Deanna takes advantage by hooking her head and backing up so her legs are still draped over it before planting her into the concrete with a swinging neckbreaker! The fans groan at the impact but cheer Deanna on as she crawls over to an empty seat, wincing in pain as she pulls herself up enough to take a seat in it to recover.

Polly manages to pull herself back to her feet with some help from the barricade! She ends up tumbling over it and back into the ringside area, but no count is initiated as she’s still actively getting back to her feet. Deanna takes the opportunity to think about her next move before she stands up and repositions the chair in front of the barricade. She takes a few steps back as Polly manages to make it back to her feet once more, and that’s when Deanna charges ahead and uses the chair as a platform to launch herself over the barricade, but whatever she has in mind is interrupted as Polly blasts her with a chick kick while she’s airborne! Deanna crashes to the mats as Polly also drops as well from the force of the impact, both of them looking battered and spent.

Sharper: “Deanna thought she had Polly with that whiplash onto the concrete, but Polly refusing to stay down and returning fire with a huge roundhouse while Deanna was in midair!”

Knots: “These two just keep pushing themselves to dig deeper and hit harder, and sooner or later, something’s got to give.”

Both Deanna and Polly break the count as they pull themselves up using the apron, turning to lock eyes as if they’re silently asking one another how much more they’ve got left. Polly makes the first move, striking Deanna with a forearm that garners a mixed reaction. Deanna responds with an elbow strike that gets quite a few cheers. Polly throws another forearm that staggers Deanna, but she stays on her feet and responds with another elbow strike that staggers Polly, but she refuses to go down as well. There’s a brief pause in the exchange, but in the blink of an eye, the two women lock up in a clinch and hammer away at each other, the fans getting louder and louder as the brawl continues. One exchange of shots seems to stagger both women enough that they back away from each other, but Polly gets her bearings first as she tries to throw another chick kick, but Deanna ducks this one before hooking Polly from behind and trying to lock in The Consortium!

Sharper: “Deanna trying to apply The Consortium!”

Knots: “She can’t win with that! Polly tapping out does nothing in this match!”

Sharper: “But if Polly passes out in Deanna’s clutches, that could be enough for the ten count and the win!”

Polly struggles and flails wildly, doing everything she can to escape, but Deanna finally manages to get her fingers locked and cinches the hold in! Polly still tries to fight, clinging to the ring skirt for dear life in a desperate bid to keep Deanna from taking her to the ground and getting the bodyscissors hooked in. Deanna still wrenches on the submission regardless, trying to choke the life out of Polly. After a few moments, it seems like Polly might be starting to fade, the physicality of the match taking its toll on her. She begins to slump in Deanna’s grasp, and the champion uses this as her chance to try and fall back to completely lock in the hold and seal Polly’s fate, but the challenger makes one last desperate move by pushing back with all her strength, forcing Deanna back and off-balance just enough that when she goes down looking for the bodyscissors, the back of her head collides with the ringpost! Both women hit the floor but Deanna ends up releasing The Consortium, clutching at the back of her head as Polly slowly reaches up, trying to get ahold of the apron again.

Polly manages to pull herself back to her feet and crawls up onto the apron, and Deanna is not far behind as she leans on the apron, holding the back of her head. She isn’t aware of where Polly is, though, and that may prove to be her undoing as Polly takes advantage of the position and surges forward, smashing Deanna’s face into the apron with The Head Turner! Deanna collapses to the floor once again as Polly takes some deep breaths, looking down at her from where she’s crouched on the apron.

Deanna manages to use the apron to pull herself back to her feet! While she’s been doing that, however, Polly has now set up a table out on the floor.

Sharper: “Polly almost securing the win off that vicious Head Turner on the apron!”

Knots: “And just in case Deanna beat the count, it looks like she’s already got a plan B ready to go!”

Polly walks around the ring, heading over to where Deanna is trying to recover. She clubs her across the back to keep her stunned before throwing her back into the ring. Polly digs around underneath again and this time pulls out a steel chair, which gets a mixed reaction from the fans but the cheers seem to outweigh the jeers. Regardless, Polly slides into the ring and unfolds the chair before setting it up in the center of the ring. She then grabs Deanna’s head and pulls her up enough to rest her head on the seat of the chair, taking a moment to measure her before running off the ropes, looking for another devastating Head Turner. As she rebounds, however, Deanna suddenly pops back to her feet and drills Polly with a discus elbow! Polly staggers back but ends up leaning against the ropes, not leaving her feet, but with her back to the champion. Deanna grits her teeth as she moves in and grabs a stunned Polly by the waist before delivering a huge release german suplex, throwing Polly into the unfolded chair and causing it to buckle upon impact!

Sharper: “Polly was looking to try and crush Deanna’s head one more time, but the champion showing her resilience and turning things around yet again!”

Knots: “Deanna forcing Polly to take a seat, but with enough force that she broke the chair!”

Polly begins to stir, to the shock of the fans and even to Deanna a bit.

Polly manages to just barely make it back to her feet! The fans can’t help but applaud as Polly wobbles and looks unsteady, but stares definitely at Deanna.

Knots: “How in the hell is Polly back on her feet!?”

Sharper: “Both of these ladies have something to prove tonight, and they’re pushing their bodies beyond their limits to be the one who gets the outcome they’re looking for.”

Deanna starts to close the distance, only for Polly to try and catch her off-guard with another chick kick! Deanna manages to block it, however, throwing Polly’s leg back to the mat before she charges in and takes her over with the Cold-Snapmare! The use of one of Selena’s moves does get the fans booing heavily for a moment, but Deanna quickly shrugs it off as she pulls Polly’s body on top of the broken chair before she runs towards the ropes and springboards off into a lionsault, but Polly moves and Deanna crashes chestfirst onto the chair’s remnants! Deanna clutches at her midsection and cries out in agony as Polly slowly crawls over to the corner, struggling to pull herself not only back to her feet, but ultimately, to the top turnbuckle as well. She takes the time to steady herself as Deanna carefully tries to make it back to feet. As soon as she does, she staggers forward towards Polly, who leaps off and catches her with About To Fall, driving Deanna onto the chair! Polly ends up rolling with the momentum until she slides out of the ring, watching Deanna carefully as Michael Constantine counts while her gaze occasionally flickers over to the table she’s set up.

Deanna starts to slowly make it back to her feet. Not wanting to risk her beating the count, Polly slides back into the ring and immediately intervenes, setting up Deanna before driving her into the mat with the Polly Pop! The fans are going nuts as Polly leans back against the ropes, smiling as she’s sure she’s finally done it.

Right before Constantine can make the ten count, Deanna has a sudden burst that allows her to roll out of the ring and back to her feet, beating the count! The fans erupt in cheers as Polly’s joy immediately vanishes and she’s looking at Deanna in absolute shock.

Sharper: “Deanna Frost is still in this match! Somehow!”

Knots: “Polly was sure she had her with the Polly Pop! What else does she have to throw at her?”

Deanna leans against the table, finally realizing its presence, and that’s when the light bulb seems to go off in Polly’s head. She moves over to that side of the ring and steps out onto the apron, grabbing Deanna right as she’s trying to climb up onto the apron herself. She sets her up for what looks like a side effect, but Deanna manages to start throwing some elbows to the side of Polly’s head to create some separation. Polly is stunned for a moment before she throws another chick kick, only for Deanna to catch Polly’s leg and pull her into position for the Red Sunset! She goes to twist, presumably to execute the move off the apron and through the table, but Polly manages to slip free and kick Deanna’s leg out from under her! Deanna drops to a knee and Polly wastes no time in putting her head between her legs, glancing over at the table with the intent of delivering a Polly Pop through it to end this once and for all. As she goes to do this, however, Deanna suddenly lifts Polly off the mat and repositions her across her shoulders, and Polly’s flailing isn’t enough to slip free as Deanna leaps off the apron and drives Polly through the table with The Checkmate!

Sharper: “The Checkmate through the table!”

Knots: “Stick a fork in Polly because she’s done for the night!”

Deanna manages to pull herself back to her feet using the apron right at the count of three, rolling back into the ring.

Polly grabs onto the ring skirt and, using every bit of strength she has left, just barely manages to pull herself up just enough to beat the ten count! The fans are losing their minds as Deanna is now the one in shock.

Knots: “How? How!? What more can these two do to each other to finally end this war?”

Sharper: “I wish I had an answer Jon, but I’m just as stunned as you are. These two have beaten the tar out of each other and they both can barely stand, but still, neither one can keep the other down just long enough!”

Polly is taking deep breaths, her body trembling as she and Deanna stare each other down. With an audible growl of frustration, Polly suddenly slides into the ring, but Deanna quickly grabs her in a front facelock. She flips her hair, looking for the Spring Fling DDT, but Polly manages to twist out before throwing a desperation headbutt that echoes throughout the arena with an audible crack! Some fans can be seen cringing and looking away as both women stagger from the impact, teetering. As they slowly close the distance, Deanna suddenly leaps up and catches Polly under the jaw with The Burnout! Polly falls back but ends up saved by the ropes, having not gone down. Deanna ends up falling to her hands and knees, the pain and exhaustion starting to take their toll. Polly suddenly explodes out of the ropes, aiming for The Head Turner again, but Deanna manages to dodge it as Polly ends up stomping the mat! She takes a moment to regain her balance, only to turn just in time to see Deanna rebounding off the ropes to catch her with a second Burnout! Polly falls back into the ropes again, rebounding off of them and barely fighting to somehow stay on her feet, but Deanna uses every last ounce of strength her body has left to run off the ropes one more time and drill Polly with a third Burnout that finally floors her! Deanna also collapses, her gas tank running on empty at this point as Michael Constantine makes the count, the fans counting along.

Deanna just barely manages to use whatever strength she has left to push through the pain and beat the count!

10!

The bell sounds as the fans erupt in cheers! "People Like Us" by Kelly Clarkson hits again as Deanna leans against the ropes, looking very much out of it and barely processing the fact that her music is playing. It doesn’t fully sink in until Michael Constantine hands her the United States Championship and helps her away from the ropes to raise her arm in victory.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, and STILL SCW United States Champion… Deanna Frost!”

Sharper: “An absolutely hard-hitting, physical encounter between these two women here tonight, but in the end, Deanna Frost’s reign as United States Champion continues!”

Knots: “Top that, Selena!”

Sharper: “Take nothing away from Polly though, folks. It took a Checkmate through a table and not one, not two, but THREE Burnouts to finally put her down. She may not be walking out of here tonight as a champion, but that’s still a hell of a statement that may mean the moment she’s looking for may not be too far off.”

Deanna slowly and carefully makes her way out of the ring, heading to the back as she holds the U.S. Title belt high above her head, basking in this moment and the fight it took to get there. She stops and takes one last look back at the ring, with Michael Constantine is checking on Polly who’s finally starting to stir, and she nods before turning and continuing to make her way towards the back.

We cut to a shot of Kimberly Williams standing on the stage, looking around before seeing Cassie Wolfe diving off the stage at Body, Heart, and Soul onto Lues with a shooting star press.

“Sometimes…you just need to…”

We then cut to see a shot of Selena Frost hitting a top rope moonsault on an opponent, before showing La Pequena Luz hitting a dive over the top rope to the floor. Glory Braddock is shown hitting the London Plunge onto an opponent, before we see Syren hitting the Blondeton Bomb.

“Jump…”

We see Alexis Quinne standing on the scaffolding, before showing Konrad Raab throwing himself off the stage. The Taking the Leap logo comes up on the screen.

“SCW presents Taking the Leap live on Sunday, April 14, 2024, only on pay per view.”

The scene slowly fades to black.

“Hope It Hurts” by Plush plays as we cut to a shot inside the State Farm Stadium. The cameras pan across the stadium.

Sharper: “Next time we’re on pay per view will be April 14, 2024 for Taking the Leap, but who will be the SCW World Tag Team Champions?”

Knots: “Dark Fantasy had the titles back in October. Light in the Darkness has beaten them twice, but last time they faced, Twisted & Sadistic got involved. They then won the World Tag Team Championship on Breakdown and now, one match, one winner, the winners the champions, the losers go back to the bottom!”

A recap video plays showing the history between Light in the Darkness, Dark Fantasy and Twisted & Sadistic.

Light in the Darkness vs. Dark Fantasy vs. Twisted & Sadistic

SCW World Tag Team Championship

Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall with a sixty minute time limit and is for the SCW World Tag Team Championship!”

The SCW World Tag Team Championship logo comes across the screen. The camera cuts to the crowd where we see a group of red-shirted security walking in through one of the ground-level entrances. They line up in front of the fans for a moment and seem to be holding them back. There’s then a loud click as the lights around the building flick off and darkness consumes the arena, with nothing but a few flashes from cameras in the crowd lighting the arena. Without warning we see black and white footage spring to life on the screen of Winston Churchill giving one of his most famous speeches, all the while the chilling sound of air raid sirens and war can be heard in the background...

"We shall fight on the beaches. We shall fight on the landing grounds. We shall fight in the fields, and in the streets. We shall fight in the hills. We shall NEVER surrender!"

The video suddenly burns away to reveal a second hidden image of the devious ex-president George H. W. Bush giving a speech of his own...

"When we are successful, and we will be, we'll have a real chance at this new world order..."

A record scratch interrupts the normal Infamous introduction, only for the sound of Cute Is What We Aim For’s hit to begin around the arena.

“I’ve got the gift of one-liners,
And you’ve got the curse of curves”

The opening to “Misery Business” by Paramore suddenly hits the PA system as the spotlights on the stage flash between pink and white. We cut to the back where we see Ravyn Taylor walking through the corridors before heading over to the curtain on the floor to the right of the stage. She walks out and looks around the arena as we see Syren step out from the back, Lexy Chapel with her. Chapel keeps a hand out, stopping Syren from even moving towards Ravyn while also keeping an eye on Ravyn.

Sinfully Seductive
Captivatingly Corrupt
Dark Fantasy

Phillips: “First, the challengers, accompanied by Lexy Chapel, they are Syren and Ravyn Taylor. They are the team of Lexy Chapel presents Dark Fantasy!”

Syren then starts to head to the ring as Lexy turns and heads after her. Ravyn walks over to the rampway and steps onto it, ending up standing next to Syren. Syren focuses on the ring as Ravyn smirks. Lexy steps past Ravyn pointing at Ravyn’s eyes and then at her own, before following Syren. Syren reaches the ring and climbs up the steps and into the ring. Ravyn then follows as Lexy Chapel walks along the floor. Both women remove their ring jackets and toss them to the corner. Syren climbs up on to the ropes, with one foot on the bottom and one on the middle ropes. Ravyn stands alongside her. Ravyn then goes to finish the old Dark Fantasy entrance, locking her hand with Syren. Lexy Chapel goes to the floor.

Sharper: “Dark Fantasy became champions last thanks to Ace Marshall leaving. But they have earned this rematch in part thanks to the actions of Twisted & Sadistic, namely Brittany Lohan.”

Knots: “And they could rectify everything tonight. Syren’s on the winning streak. Ravyn looks sharp. Here we go.”

All of a sudden, the lights go out, prompting a surprised pop from the fans. “In the Name of Love” by Arion feat. Cyan Kicks begins to play, the LED screens flickering to life to show a large wisteria tree in front of a starry night sky with a beautiful moon, the stars seeming like they’re slowly shifting and dancing around as petals from the tree fall and gracefully glide through the sky. One spotlight comes to life on the left side of the stage from the camera’s perspective, revealing Amelia Blythe standing underneath it, eyes focused on the ring and a small smile on her lips as her hands are folded in front of her, giving her the look of a proper young lady. A second spotlight comes to life on the right side of the stage, revealing La Pequeña Luz standing underneath it with the kind of grin that could light up a room all on its own as she motions with her hands for the fans to get pumped up, which they immediately proceed to do. The two slowly turn their attention to one another and begin closing the distance, their spotlights following them as they stop within arm’s reach of one another, where Amelia extends her hand and Luz takes it before they pull their bodies close, the spotlights merging into one piercing through the darkness.

Phillips: “Next, also the challengers, they are the team of La Pequena Luz and Amelia Blythe, the Light in the Darkness!”

When the song goes into the chorus, the two ladies begin to literally waltz their way down to the ring, fast and fluid to keep pace with the song as the spotlight follows their every move, leaving fans mesmerized by their synergy. As the chorus reaches its end and the two find themselves at the bottom of the ramp, they push away from one another as far as their arms will allow without letting go before quickly pointing to the LED screens with their free hands, where the night scene is immediately engulfed in white before transitioning to a video package of the two ladies in action, both together and individually. Slowly, the two release one another, the single spotlight splitting in two again as Amelia makes her way up the steps to walk across the apron on one side, wiping her feet before stepping through the ropes. Luz, meanwhile, hops up onto the apron right in front of her and grabs the top rope before vaulting herself into a somersault into the ring, landing on her feet. She moves to the center of the ring and drops to her knees, cupping her hands together in front of her while Amelia stands right behind her, hands folded before her once again. As Luz lifts her cupped hands upward, the arena lights slowly begin to come back on as Amelia takes her hands and pulls her to her feet, spinning her around one final time into a tight embrace and a soft kiss before the two move to their corner to prepare for battle, with both girls shedding their robes and Amelia also removing her mask.

Sharper: “The former World Tag Team Champions. They hold two consecutive victories over Dark Fantasy, but Twisted & Sadistic ended their reign last month.”

Knots: “Hoping to end their title hopes for the foreseeable future tonight.”

The opening riff to “Best of Both Worlds” by Van Halen begins to play. Glory Braddock and Brittany Lohan emerge from behind the curtain simultaneously. The fans cheer while Glory goes from one end of the stage to the other, playing to the crowd and getting them into it. Lohan, meanwhile, continues her march to the ring. Both hold their World Tag Team Championship.

Phillips: “And finally, they are the team of Brittany Lohan and Glory Braddock, the SCW World Tag Team Champions, Twisted & Sadistic!”

“Something reached out and touched me
Now I know all I want
I want the best of both worlds
And honey I know what it's worth
If we could have the best of both worlds
We'd have Heaven right here on Earth”

Braddock springs towards the ring, catching up with Lohan in time to slide in just barely ahead of her underneath the bottom rope. Lohan enters the ring the traditional way. Brittany remains stoic in the center of the ring while Glory again plays to the crowd, going to each of the four corners and raising her arms high in the air, drawing cheers from the fans. Braddock then rejoins Lohan in the center of the ring as the music dies down. They hand their titles off to the official, Steve Hollinsworth. He holds the titles over his head.

Sharper: “Lohan and Braddock all business. They are the champions, but there is no real champions advantage here. They have to win, just as Dark Fantasy or Light in the Darkness must.”

Knots: “Removing all doubt. Who is the best team tonight at Retribution? Who is going to walk out World Tag Team Champions!”

Luz and Amelia remain in the ring as Ravyn exits. She motions to Syren. Syren remains in the ring as does Glory Braddock. Lohan then turns to Glory and Syren glances back as Lexy joins Ravyn in urging her to step out. Syren does. Luz and Blythe talk before Luz starts off for Light in the Darkness. Glory steps forward.

Sharper: “And to start, Light in the Darkness wanted to start. Lohan wanted Glory to exit; Ravyn and Lexy both wanted Syren to exit.”

Knots: “And Syren exited.”

The bell sounds as Luz and Braddock circle before lunging at one another. Braddock then spins around Luz and takes her over with a Greco-Roman takedown. She spins around and into a front face lock. Luz spins out and to a seated position before spinning around and grabbing Glory. Glory reaches around and then causes both to roll through, leading Luz to lose her grip and Glory gets free before wrenching the arm. Luz gets up to her feet and somersaults forward and nips up before then cartwheeling out and hitting a dropkick. She goes for the pin.

Glory kicks out. Glory rolls over as Luz gets up. Glory gets up and the two lock up again. They push back on one another and Luz moves into a side headlock. Glory pulls her back and into the ropes before firing her off. Luz bounces off and Glory goes for a hip toss. Luz spins through and goes for one of her own. Glory strikes her in the ribs before then kneeing her in the ribs and placing her leg on the back of Luz’s head. She backflips through. Luz goes for a clothesline. Glory ducks and both run into the ropes. They bounce off and Luz hits a flying forearm. She goes for another pin.

Braddock kicks out. Both get up and Luz lunges only for Glory to hit a leg trip and go for a pin.

Luz kicks out. Both get up and Glory hits a dropkick. Luz hits the mat and rolls over and gets up only for Syren to tag herself in. Glory gets up and glances back as Lohan wants in. Glory tags in Lohan.

Sharper: “Luz hits the mat and Syren quickly taking advantage of her proximity.”

Knots: “Full reset early.”

Lohan steps in and Syren then runs at her and nails her with a hard right. The crowd roars as Syren nails her again and again.

Sharper: “And Syren remembering the Hell on Earth and the potential injury!”

Syren gets a few more shots in and Glory turns and gets a shot too. She rolls to the floor. Syren then grabs Lohan and pulls her out and goes to whip her across the ring. Lohan spins through and sends her in. Syren bounces off and Lohan goes for a clothesline, but Syren jumps up with a Lou Thesz Press and tackles Lohan down. She nails her with a series of hard right hands before rolling off. Lohan rolls over, a bit surprised and turns around and Syren hits a dropkick. Lohan hits the mat. Lohan slowly gets up and Syren forearms her once and then again. She gets her to the ropes and fires her off. Lohan bounces off and Syren goes for a clothesline, but Lohan ducks and stops. Syren turns around and Lohan just smacks Syren with a vicious shot. Syren falls to a knee. The crowd ohs. Syren turns and Lohan grabs her by the throat and just spins around, throwing her across the ring.

Sharper: “Lohan just fell Syren and now throwing her across.”

Knots: “Syren wanted her revenge. Lohan just told her to stop him the only way she knows how!”

Syren grabs at the ropes and to get up and Lohan just grabs her and lifts her up and dumps her out of the ring. Lohan dusts her hands off as she walks around the ring only to find Ravyn in the ring as she turns around and Ravyn rakes her eyes. The official, Steve Hollinsworth, tries to get her out. Ravyn then kicks her in the knee and then jumps up and tries to lock in the Memento Mori. Lohan struggles as Ravyn tries to lock it in early. Lohan keeps struggling as Hollinsworth tries to get Ravyn off. Ravyn refuses to let go and Braddock enters the ring and runs over and stomps Ravyn in the chest once and then again. Ravyn lets go and rolls over, but then Syren climbs onto the apron and springboards to the top rope and hits a diving dropkick, splitting her legs to hit both. Braddock hits the mat and rolls out of the ring. Lohan hits the mat. Syren crawls over for the pin.

Sharper: “Syren back in. Light in the Darkness just watching. Dropkick! Cover!”

Lohan pushes her off. Syren rolls off. Lohan turns and Syren hits a dropkick, knocking Lohan back and over to the ropes. Blythe reaches down and tags herself in. Syren runs over to Lohan, but Blythe grabs her and hits a European uppercut over the top rope. Syren staggers back as Blythe enters and runs at her and spins around her and hits a swinging German suplex. Syren rolls through. She gets up and Blythe lunges and hits a European uppercut. Syren staggers and Blythe throws her down for the pin.

Syren kicks out.

Sharper: “Just had Syren on her back foot. Almost a three and that would have been a stunner this early.”

Knots: “Why not? We’ve already see Dark Fantasy and Twisted & Sadistic go at each other. And this hasn’t completely broken down.”

Sharper: “With the third team and with tag rules, you have to always think about who is in and who is out.”

Syren rolls over and Blythe grabs her and wrenches her arm. She forearms her in the jaw and then nails her again. She pushes her to the neutral corner and Blythe hits a European uppercut. The crowd ohs. Blythe turns back and whips Syren across to the Light in the Darkness corner. Blythe runs after and hits a running clothesline. She pushes Syren back, tagging in Luz. Luz slingshots in and hits a knee to the jaw of Syren. She then backs up as Blythe drops down in front of Syren and Luz runs over, jumps off the back of Blythe and hits a leg lariat. Syren falls to the mat. Luz goes for the pin.

Syren gets her shoulder up. Blythe exits the ring as Luz then grabs Syren and pulls her up. She then whips her into the ropes. Syren bounces off and Luz hits a back elbow and then a jumping senton backsplash. She turns into the ropes and Syren gets her knees up, but Luz cartwheels and jumps over her. Syren rolls over and gets up and immediately finds Glory tagging her out and herself in. Luz turns and runs over and nails Glory with a forearm shot and then another as Lohan then grabs Syren and throws her out of the ring. Ravyn paces on the apron as Luz then pulls Glory into the ring. Luz slowly gets up as Blythe enters the ring and runs over and embraces her partner. Hollinsworth walks over and hands the titles to Blythe and Luz. They grab them and raise their arms as the crowd cheers. Braddock looks on from ringside, wincing in pain, breathing heavily.

Sharper: “Selena Frost faces Kandis next. Let’s take a look at their history.”

A recap video plays showing the history between Kandis and Selena Frost.

Kandis vs. Selena Frost

SCW World Championship

The bell sounds. Jason Phillips stands in the ring.

Phillips: “The following contest is your main event, scheduled for onefall with a sixty minute time limit and is for the SCW World Championship!”

The SCW World Championship logo comes across the screen. We then cut backstage where we see Kandis step out from her locker room. She takes a deep breath and turns and starts to walk down the hallway. The camera follows as the crowd cheers.

Sharper: “And there is the challenger. As ready as she could be. This rivalry continues to grow.”

Knots: “But it’s one shot. One shot at Selena to get her title back!”

Kandis continues to walk down the walkway. She then stops at the end of the tunnel and turns, stretching out her arms a bit before doing a couple of squats for good measure. We then cut to the inside of the stadium.

The opening of "Whore" by In This Moment fills the arena as red and pink lights swirl around...

{I'm the girl you've been thinking about, The one thing you can't live without
I'm the girl you've been waiting for
I'll have you down on your knees, I'll have you begging for more}

Kandis appears on the stage, a sultry smirk on her face as the crowd boos. She turns and shows off her notorious rear end, swaying it back and forth...

{I can be, I can be your eve... ry... thing}

The lights dim as the music seems to pause a moment, then Kandis turns around, arms spread and feet wide apart as vocalist Maria Brink shouts:

{I CAN BE YOUR WHORE!}

Kandis starts down the ramp as the rest of the chorus continues, the sway in her hips ever present as she smirks at all the boos, even blowing sarcastic kisses to the crowd.

{I am the dirt you created
I am your sinner, I am your whore
But let me tell you something, baby
You love me for everything you hate me for}

Kandis goes up the ring steps and enters the ring through the second and top rope slowly, making sure to show off her ass. The heavy music fades out as Kandis goes to her corner.

Sharper: “Kandis, we said it. She’s ready. She’s focused.”

Knots: “Selena can make her jump through hoops. Couldn’t make them touch. Having a referee to call it by the book, to the letter. Kandis…she’s just going to be driven to knock Frost’s block off.”

Sharper: “It is a very different environment from Rise to Greatness. Less pageantry. Selena Frost with a new attitude. Kandis with even more confidence.”

The scene cuts to another hallway as Selena Frost walks through a door, seemingly coming from her tour bus. The crowd boos loudly as Selena Frost just smirks as she can clearly hear it. She then continues to walk down the hallway and comes from a different direction to the tunnel.

Sharper: “Selena Frost, no longer beloved.”

Knots: “Oh no. They hate her here in Glendale. And I’m sure its mutual.”

Selena Frost stops at the tunnel and looks at her World Championship and turns to the camera.

Frost: “Not leaving. Sorry Kandis. But maybe you can go after the US Title!”

Selena turns back as the camera cuts to the stadium again.

BELIEVE IT... OR NOT!

"Thank You for Hating Me!" by Citizen Soldier plays throughout the arena, the SCW Universe deafening the song with their boos. The lights shift to dark purple and blue, filling the arena as snow is seen “falling” along the electronic floor and screens as, out from the back, walks the Snow Queen, Selena Frost, taking in the crowd of the SCW Universe with a smirk.

Slowly, Selena shifts her head, her sapphire eyes locked towards the ring as she turns to her side and lifts her front hand gracefully, extending it towards the ring, palm upward. With a lift of her front foot, she suddenly slams it down into the ground, causing a crack like ice to form and sprint down the ramp and towards the ring!

Lowering her arm, the Blue-Eyed Devil walks down the ramp, her steps leaving footprints in the “snow” under her feet. Reaching the ring, Selena goes up the steps and under the ropes to enter it. Once inside and in the center of the ring, she stands still, confident and powerful, as the lights form to make a massive blue and black snowflake under her and the purple and blue lights. Raising her hand back up, towards the audience, once again palm upright, a wicked smirk graces her lips. With a slam of her foot, Selena causes the snowflake at her feet to “crack” as the rampway did, the shards of ice streaking out to all four corners of the ring to shoot out purple streaks of light from the turnbuckle the lights return to normal. Kandis looks at her as Selena turns back to her corner.

Sharper: “Selena Frost, one of the most decorated wrestlers in SCW history. She returned after several months away, walking out of SCW, unhappy with how things went at Rise to Greatness. Tonight, the rematch.”

Knots: “Kandis wanted to take out Asher. Selena instead got that honour and Asher is gone. Selena is champion again. Kandis wants to right it all at Retribution, while Selena wants to put a lot of doubt in people’s minds that the Kandis era began at Rise to Greatness XX!”

The bell sounds again.

Phillips: “Fans, your official for this match is Aaron Demitra.”

The crowd boos loudly. Selena looks around, glaring at the crowd.

Knots: “Even Demitra is catching strays!”

Phillips: “First, the challenger – fighting out of the corner to my left. She is a former World Champion. From Santa Barbara, California, she is Kandis!”

The crowd cheers. Kandis doesn’t pose, instead staring a hole through Selena as she stretches in the corner.

Phillips; “And her opponent…”

The crowd boos as Selena takes her World Championship and holds it over her heade.

Phillips: “From Nome, Alaska by way of New York City, New York, she is the SCW World Champion, the Snow Queen, Selena Frost!”

Selena steps forward and right up to the middle of the ring. Kandis steps up too. Selena says something to Kandis. Kandis rears back. Selena holds her finger up as she look sat Demitra. Kandis looks at him before back as Demitra takes the World Title. He steps back, holding it over his head.

Sharper: “Kandis was going to blast Selena. But Selena reminding Kandis of the rules – she wants them enforced to the letter. We talk of official’s discretion. Here, Selena wants none.”

Knots: “Wants Demitra to call it as the rules are written and that means an attack before the bell could lead to the match thrown out.”

Demitra then hands off the title. Selena and Kandis keep jawing at one another. Demitra then calls for the bell. Selena swings, but Kandis blocks it. The crowd roars as Kandis nails her with a hard right. She hits another hard right and then another. Demitra immediately intervenes warning Kandis of the closed fists. Kandis turns, only for a second, before Selena counters with a chop. The crowd woos. Selena hits another chop. More woos. She then grabs Kandis and spins her into the ropes. Kandis bounces off and Selena hits a drop toe hold. Selena then moves to the side headlock. Kandis reaches around as the crowd chants “Let’s Go Kandis! Kick her ass!” Selena holds on as Kandis pulls herself up. Selena keeps the hold locked in tightly and Kandis reaches around Selena’s head and face. Demitra again reprimands Kandis. Kandis then pulls Selena into the ropes and then fires her off. Selena bounces off and Kandis shoulders her down. Selena rolls back and to her knees as the crowd cheers.

Sharper: “And Kandis quickly showing she has the strength.”

Knots: “While already getting reprimanded twice.”

Sharper: “And technically, there is a three strikes rule in the rulebook. Once for a mistake or emotion; once cause its intentional, and then if you get caught a third time breaking a rule, like closed fists, that’s it. It’s a DQ.”

Knots: “These are the rules CHBK wrestled in when he was coming up when the earth cooled!”

Selena gets up and turns as Kandis kicks her in the ribs. She whips Selena into the ropes. Selena bounces off and Kandis tackles her down.
