“Supreme Championship Wrestling...”

A shot of Kelcey Wallace nailing Bree Lancaster with the Perfect Ending, followed by a shot of Steve Griffin hitting the Decimator off the top rope on CHBK at the first Rise to Greatness, before turning a shot of Jake Starr pumping up the crowd on his way to the ring, before turning into a shot of Ravyn Taylor sitting in the corner, waiting for the start of a match. We then see a shot of Katie Steward holding the Women’s Championship before cutting to a shot of Selena Frost hitting Vixen Cain with the Defying Gravity at Supreme Saturday: Just Desserts.

“The leading force in sports and entertainment today....”

MAIN SHOW:

The scene opens up with a live shot of the inside of Rogers Center in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The crowd can be seen filing into the building. Several thousand fans already are on the floor as the cameras pan across the scene.

Winters: “Fans, welcome to SCW’s home. To Toronto, Canada! Welcome to the site of Rise to Greatness XX!”

The cameras continue to pan across the crowd. Several fans are shown talking to one another. A family is shown with the kids ready for wrestling action. We then cut to a desk set up off to the side of the stage. There, Jessica Winters and Dean Black sit.

Winters: “We are here, it’s finally here. The twentieth Rise to Greatness. Jessica Winters here at our news desk alongside Dean Black joining me.”

Black: “Pleasure to be here Jessica.”

Winters: “You were here for the first one, twenty years ago.”

Black: “I was and it still feels special. To also come here. While the Jays are trying to get it done in the MLB standings, to be on their turf, to a place where special moments have happened. Many special moments will happen tonight.”

Winters: “And plenty to get here tonight as we set you up for this massive show here tonight. Headlined by the World Title on the line when Selena Frost defends against Kandis. We’ll see Syren facing Xander Valentine with high-stakes. Simon Lyman and Gavin Taylor meeting in that ring. Tag Titles and so much more.”

Black: “And no matter the match, everyone is looking to go out there and make a moment for their career. Whether it’s the win, whether it’s the rush. This is the night we all work for. To be in front of that crowd to go down into immortality.”

Winters: “And we’ll be kicking things off tonight by going to the ring. You mention immortality. Returning to the ring, Adam Brock is going to be in action. And to call the action, our team who will be there all night from ringside, Adam Sharper and Jonathan Knots. Gentlemen?”

We cut to the announce table at ringside to see Adam Sharper alongside Jonathan Knots.

Sharper: “Thank you Jessica, Dean. Adam Sharper here with Jonathan Knots and Jon, we’ve said it time and time again, big night.”

Knots: “Big night? Biggest night. Twentieth Rise to Greatness. You ready?’

Sharper: “I’m ready.”

Knots: “Let’s go.”

Brock vs. Religious Wright

“I Can Only Imagine” by MercyMe begins to play. Bright white lights shine all over the entrance set as the camera pans across. A few moments pass before Religious Wright walks out from the back, arms outstretched. Behind him is a shot of Brother Douglas holding a battle flag with James Evans’s face on it. Religious Wright meanwhile holds his Holy Book in his hand.

Phillips: “Fans, the opening contest tonight at Rise to Greatness XX is scheduled for onefall and with a fifteen minute time limit. First, on his way to the ring, accompanied by Brother Douglas, he hails from The Sword of Joshua Full Gospel Pentecostal Temple of Joy Holiness by way of Mt. Judea, Arkansas, he is Religious Wright!”

The nameplate comes over the screen and Religious Wright heads to the ring with Brother Douglas leading him, brandishing his battle flag. Wright holds the book over his head as he starts to preach to fans as he makes his long walk down to the ring.

Sharper: “Religious Wright and his preaching have been the problem. He tried to overfocus on Light in the Darkness. Instead, Adam Brock returned and stepped up to deal with Wright and his transgressions.”

Knots: “And now Brock is going to see how he does. Returned as a surprise at Taking Hold of the Flame, but can be do it again tonight in a bit more of a traditional match.”

Sharper: “Wright is going to look to sideline this return early here in Toronto.”

Wright continues down the way before stopping and pressing his hand to the forehead of one hand.

Wright: “BE HEALED IN THE NAME OF THE LAWD!”

He turns and holds out some holy water and turns and sprays some at some fans.

Wright: “BE GONE FOUL DEMON FROM THIS SERVANT IN THE NAME OF THE LAWD!”

Wright refocuses on his descent to the ring before moving to the ringside area. He then goes to the steel steps and ascends them. He walks along the apron and enters the ring. He then steps forward and holds his book up over his head as his music fades out.

“Watching sand fall...

And listening for the knock
Upon my door (Listen)
And waiting...
For Promised Land”

A series of red, gold and silver fireworks go off at the top of the ramp in a shimmering cascade and high into the air. The crowd cheers as a roaming spotlight seeks to penetrate the darkness and find something. The spotlights circle the darkened Rogers Center. Another shot of fireworks go off, these one’s blue, high into the air. We then cut to the stage where spotlights start to go across it.

“Standing deep in life
My ring of brass
Lay rusting on the floor
Is this all?
Cause it’s not
What I expected!”

White-hot green fireworks go off now and this time the spotlight DOES catch someone. Standing there amid the ghastly green glow is the one and only “Wolfsbane” Adam Brock! The fans roar as the cameras focus on him for a few moments. Brock grins wickedly. He steps forward as his nameplate comes up.

Phillips: “His opponent, from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, he is Wolfsbane, Adam Brock!”

“Promised Land” by Queensryche continues to play as Brock starts to head down the rampway. The camera follows him down from behind as he makes strides to the ring. As he gets closer to ground level, he starts to slap hands with the fans and pausing to hug a little boy. One overenthusiastic fan grabs him around the neck in a big hug and he makes a big deal out of it, letting one leg go forward in a comical display of being snared. Then he turns around and gives her a huge hug in return before she lets him go. He turns to the ring and runs up the steel steps before grabbing the top rope and catapulting over it to stand in the middle of the ring. Once his feet make contact, the cleverly disguised pyro containers secured to the ringposts go off and send showers of purple confetti fireworks all over the crowd. It showers down over him as he turns a slow circle in the ring, basking in the cheers of the adoring fans. When the last of the confetti touches down, Adam does one final turn to face the ramp, hands resting on his legs above his knees.

Sharper: “You mentioned it Jon. Adam Brock making his in-ring return in a proper singles match. A lot of pressure here. Big stage.”

Knots: “Yeah. He has a contract too. Resigning with SCW. This is his first. Well, Brock, better step up!

Sharper: “He does not care for Wright. I know Wright doesn’t care for him. So it is mutual.”

Adam Brock looks across at Religious Wright as the crowd buzzes. Wright then holds his hand up and pulls out his good book, which now has a picture of James Evans on the cover. He then steps up.

Wright: “Allow me to start with a word from out Prophet…Our Lord, James E-“

Before Wright can even finish, Brock steps up and smacks the book away. It tumbles to the corner. Wright looks on stunned before swinging, only for Brock to block the right hand. The crowd roars as Brock kicks him in the ribs and then spins him around into the corner. Brock follows up with a kick to the ribs and then another and another and another.

Brock steps back and walks around the ring.

Sharper: “Adam Brock giving no time to Religious Wright and his so-called preaching.”

Knots: “He had plenty of time to share his teachings, or James Evans’s teachings, at the Fanfest!”

Wright starts to get up and Brock steps up and hits a running chop to the chest. The crowd woos as Wright steps out, clutching his chest. He walks around and turns, snapping at Brock.

Wright: “You’re exactly what James stands against!”

Brock responds with another vicious chop to the chest. Wright hits the mat and rolls over. Brock then grabs him and forearms him in the jaw once and then again before shoving him to the ropes and then firing him across. Wright bounces off and Brock hits a jumping back elbow. He turns and goes for the pin.

Wright kicks out again. He rolls over and gets up at the ropes as Brock steps up and kicks him in the ribs. He whips him across the ring. Brock runs after and Wright gets a back elbow up. Brock staggers back and Wright runs out and nails him with a clothesline. He then walks around the ring.

Sharper: “And Wright coming back. Hard clothesline. Brock hitting the mat and now we’ll see how Brock can do with Wright on him.”

Knots: “I wonder what Evans would think about that clothesline. A bit too much behind it. Too violent!”

Sharper: “I don’t know how much James Evans would care about anything Religious Wright is doing.”

Wright turns and grabs the arm of Brock as he gets up and wrenches it. He then grinds his elbow into the shoulder.

Wright: “All hail James Evans and the power of technical wr-“

Brock turns and drops down, snapping Wright to the mat, causing him to let go. He gets up and Brock kicks him in the ribs. He goes to whip him into the ropes, but Wright spins through and sends Brock in before handsprings into the ropes and hits the Silver Bullet. Wright rolls over and starts to get up, turning to Brock, who then kicks him in the ribs and hits a snap suplex. Wright hits the mat and rolls over to the apron and then to the floor. He staggers down to the mats and almost falls into the rampway. Brock looks around and then turns to the crowd. The crowd roars, sensing what Brock is feeling. (1)

Sharper: “Brock in the ring. Wright on the floor. Adam Brock used to be known for two things – he took no crap from anyone and he would fly.”

Knots: “And I think Wright is going wish Evans was a angel whisking him off to heaven!”

Wright starts to get up on the floor and Brock storms over to the ropes. He grabs the top rope and vaults himself over and lands on Wright only to move into a tornado DDT, hitting the Call of the Wolf on the floor! The crowd erupts in cheers. (1) Wright rolls to his back as Brock sits up. He looks around and smirks before turning and grabbing Wright. (2) He drags him up. (3) He rolls him into the ring. Brock turns and rolls into the ring. Wright rolls over across the ring to the opposite ropes as Brock storms over and grabs him, but Wright out of desperation hits a hotshot to the top rope. Brock falls back, holding his throat. He starts to get up, coughing. He turns around to Wright who scoops him up and hits a powerslam. Wright turns and gets up as Brock fights back up and Wright pulls him back and hits a reverse DDT. He hooks the leg.

Brock gets his shoulder up. Wright rolls off. He then looks around and then backs up to the ropes. He bounces off and hits a powerdrive elbow. Brock rolls over in pain.

Sharper: “Wright using that hotshot to great effect. Got a two on that pin, but he won’t stop.”

Knots: “Has Evans’s killer instinct. Just high impact here.”

Brock starts to get up and Wright grabs him and hooks him by the waist. Brock elbows out of it. Wright staggers back. Brock turns around and rushes Wright, but Wright catches him and hits an overhead belly to belly suplex. Wright smiles as he gets up and points up to the heavens. He then exits to the apron and climbs up to the top rope. He gets up to the top as the crowd looks on, some booing. Brock remains down and Wright smiles and dives off and hits the Leap of Faith. The crowd boos. Wright moves forward and hooks the leg.

Brock shoots his shoulder up again. The crowd cheers. Wright rolls off and turns and looks at him and then to the referee and back to Brock.

Sharper: “Wright thought that may be it.”

Knots: “Adam Brock isn’t staying down just because he’s tired. You’re going to have keep him there.”

Sharper: “And what is he now doing?”

Wright grabs Brock and pulls him up, looking at him. He smacks him twice across the jaw, berating him. He then hoists him up onto his shoulders. The crowd roars as Wright smiles, nodding. Wright gets him up.

Sharper: “Is he thinking of the Middle Finger to the Establishment?”

Knots: “James Evans doesn’t even use that anymore!”

Sharper: “Do you think Wright even realizes that?”

Wright smiles before Brock elbows him in the jaw once and then again and again. He drops down and onto his feet before kneeing Wright in the chest once and then again and again. Wright shoves him back and walks around, coughing, rubbing his chest. He then spins around and Brock kicks him in the knee. Wright falls to a knee, before Brock kicks him in the chest and then kicks him in the head.

Sharper: “Final Countdown!”

Wright falls back. Brock then looks at him before lifting his legs. He steps through before turning him over. The crowd cheers as Brock then leans back and grabs Wright’s head and locks in the Armageddon! The crowd cheers some more as Wright yells in pain as the official checks on him. Wright struggles before starting to wave his hands and nod. The official calls for the bell. The bell sounds. The crowd cheers. Brock holds the submission on for a moment longer before letting go and rolling off of Wright.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via submission, Adam Brock!”

Sharper: “Wolfsbane Adam Brock returns to singles competition and defeats Religious Wright with the Armageddon!”

Knots: “Didn’t look like he lost a step. Got a bit of revenge for Taking Hold of the Flame, for Light in the Darkness, and frankly everyone sick of Wright’s crap.”

Sharper: “And Adam Brock earning this victory. Big stage. Never thought he’d be back on it. Was in Taking Hold of the Flame, but nothing like what it’s like walking out for singles competition!”

Adam Brock looks out and smiles before he gets up and walks forward and has his arm raised. The crowd erupts in cheers. He continues to stand in the ring, enjoying the moment.

Sharper: “And Adam Brock enjoying this moment. He’ll get more. He’s got an SCW contract. He’ll be back in an SCW ring again. The return is just starting!”

Brock celebrates as Wright writhes in pain in the ring.

We cut to Jessica Winters and Dean Black at the desk.

Winters: “Great moment for Adam Brock, returning to the ring and getting the big win. And that kicks us off tonight.”

Black: “Huge star power to kick us off.”

Winters: “And we’ll see many former World Champions, whether here in SCW or elsewhere compete. The SCW roster as strong as ever. And tonight, we’ll see two former SCW World Champions and one who many think is due.”

A still for Amy Chastaine vs. Adam Allocco vs. Asher Hayes comes up on the screen.

Black: “You’d think it would be about that, but instead, it’s all about a girl…Carrie Lovejoy.”

Winters: “And it all started back at Taking Hold of the Flame.

The Rise to Greatness XX logo comes up on the screen.

We open up at the Taking Hold of the Flame battle royal. Asher Hayes looks around as Gigi tries to get Kim up. Syren turns and throws The One into the corner. She then shoulders her in the ribs. A few moments pass before the countdown clock returns.

The buzzer goes before “Fury Oh Fury” by Nico Vega plays throughout the arena. The crowd buzzes as we see a twenty-something year old brunette wearing a summer dress, walking out from the back. She looks around and surveys the stadium before nodding and then starting to head to the ring.

Knots: “Uh…well, uh…”

Sharper: “I’m not familiar too much with this entrant. Her name, though, I’m being told is Carrie Lovejoy.”

Knots: “She does know this is a match.”

Sharper: “I assume so. But she almost looks in awe to be here. She’s also in no hurry to make it to the ring.”

We then cut to shots of Carrie Lovejoy flirting with Simon Lyman, Asher Hayes and Ace Marshall, before cutting to showing her grabbing a kendo stick and looking at it before seeing her hitting Asher Hayes in the back with it. Carrie Lovejoy smiles as she then playfully waves at Hayes before we cut to see The One Kirsten Scott with the kendo stick and threatening Carrie Lovejoy. Lojejoy ends up in the ring and looking around. Syren lifts her up and places her on the apron. Syren looks at her as her summer dress falls back into place. She then points to her to get down. Hayes then moves toward Lovejoy who jumps down.

Sharper: “And Lovejoy is eliminated! I don’t know if Asher Hayes was going to do anything.”

We cut forward to see Asher Hayes backstage, interviewed by Jessica Winters.

Hayes: “You!”

Lovejoy: “What?”

Hayes: “You…relax. I’m not going to hit you. I’m just trying to figure out what the hell was Taking Hold of the Flame. I don’t care for getting kendo stick shots to my back and all because I said I have someone?”

Lovejoy relaxes a bit and looks at him and then smirks.

Lovejoy: “You made your choice. I made mine. I’m looking for my champion and well…”

Lovejoy goes to walk off as Asher Hayes reaches out, but stops and Lovejoy spins around.

Lovejoy: “You had your chance. Unless you want to beg.”

Hayes: “Not happening. Sorry, and back in the day, people used to beg for me.”

Lovejoy: “Probably to get it over with.”

We then cut to see Adam Allocco talking to Jessica Winters later in the night. Allocco stops and then looks off camera.

Allocco: “Well hello…”

Allocco turns and walks over as the camera pans over to see Carrie Lovejoy watching.

Allocco: “So do you like what you see.”

Lovejoy: “Not sure yet. As I said to someone who certainly doesn’t deserve me, I’m looking for my champion.”

Allocco: “I’m right here-“

Lovejoy: “Then where’s your gold?”

Allocco looks around and scoffs.

Lovejoy: “Prove it to me and maybe I’ll give you some time.”

Lovejoy turns and walks up to Allocco.

Lovejoy: “But I’m hard to impress.”

Lovejoy turns and walks past Allocco as Allocco turns and watches her leave. He nods and smirks.

Backstage, Asher Hayes stands with Jaina Lancaster.

Hayes: “I don’t know what she wants, but hell, Adam Allocco can have her. Lord knows he won’t be that discerning. Whatever she wants, I don’t care for. I just have one goal. World Title or bust. Like a lot around here.”

???: “Awww…I do nothing for you?”

Asher Hayes turns and sighs and shakes his head. The camera pans back to show Carrie Lovejoy walking over.

Hayes: “Not today.”

Lovejoy: “That’s a shame. Because you’ve always needed a good woman to lead you. Without one, you’ve never gotten close.”

Hayes: “Say what you want. You’re almost like Holly. You’re nothing like Rachel.”

Lovejoy: “Who says I have to be.”

Hayes: “Look, I said no. Go find someone else to…you looking to just hook up with people backstage. Is that all this is?”

Lovejoy: “Looking to be World Champion like you.”

Lovejoy smiles. Hayes scoffs.

Hayes: “Then you need to get in the ring and earn it.”

Lovejoy: “Or maybe I have a different plan.”

Jaina: “What is your plan, Carrie? I mean we’ve not seen you do much around here.”

Lovejoy: “Oh I think I’ve done plenty.”

Just then, Asher Hayes is drilled from behind. Hayes goes down as Carrie steps back and then smirks. Adam Allocco steps into view. Allocco looks at Hayes and stomps him in the back for good measure. \

We then cut to a shot backstage where Amy Chastaine is down on the floor, clutching her leg. She rolls over, clearly in pain, grimacing her teeth. We see Dillusion and Hiro Tanaka with her, checking on her. Simon Lyman is also with her.

Lyman: “Did you see anything?”

Tanaka: “Simon, please-“

Lyman: “Look! I’m asking her-“

Chastaine: “Simon! No…they came from behind-“

Lyman: “I should’ve been with you, just-“

Lyman steps back and lets out an angry grunt as he grabs a table and jostles it.

Tanaka: “Simon. Please! We’re trying to help her!”

We cut forward again as backstage, we see Jaina Lancaster walking backstage, microphone in her hand.

Lancaster: “So you’re sure? Allocco came with Lovejoy?”

Cameraman: “That’s what we were told. So they’re doing something-“

Lancaster stops as she goes to turn the corner. She then puts her finger on her mouth. The camera pans over as we see Lovejoy talking to Allocco.

Allocco: “Look, you said there would be benefits.”

Lovejoy: “You’ll see some of them tonight. Four way. I can be very active. And others, if you win, if it helps for motivation…Well…”

Lovejoy leans back a bit as Allocco’s eyes go across her body. He refocuses.

Allocco: “So you’re going to hit people with a kendo stick.”

Lovejoy: “Oh…I’ve done more than that…I’ve already shown what I’m capable of if people were watching. Just a taste…next time, I can hit Amy a bit harder.”

Lovejoy turns and holds her hands behind her, twisting on her feet a bit as Allocco nods.

Allocco: “Not bad. Don’t care about the consequences?”

Lovejoy: “I only have one consequence I care about. I want to hold the SCW World Championship.”

Lovejoy turns and leans into Allocco.

Lovejoy: “And right now…I’m willing to help you get there, so I can get there. And trust me, facing me for the title may be a lot more fun than Selena.”

Adam smirks as Lovejoy leans in, just a few inches away from Adam’s face. Lancaster at this point pulls the camera back and whispers to the cameraman.

Lancaster: “I have to find Amy.”

We cut to see Adam Allocco heading to the ring. He stands in the ring, microphone in his hand.

Allocco: “Okay, okay…you’re all going to hear me say something you never thought I would say…I made a mistake!”

The crowd boos.

Allocco: “You can see I’m alone. There’s no one else with me. No hot blondes kicking around. No cockteases. Just me, the King of HARDStyle, Adam Allocco. And last week, things may have gone a bit too far.”

Allocco looks around.

Allocco: “Between attacking Asher Hayes a few weeks ago. I mean it, he deserves it. He’s annoying and needed more than a haircut to help him, but whatever. And then yeah, Carrie attacked Amy. Look, I had nothing to do with that and last week, I was just coming to the ring to say just that! Then I was blindsided by Asher Hayes! I had NOTHING to do with any of it.”

We see a shot of Allocco running down to the ring while Amy Chastaine competes only for Asher Hayes to tackle him down, anticipating it from the crowd.

Allocco: “Look, I’m just trying to do the right thing. Selena ruined that at Taking Hold of the Flame. I was going to hand my son the World Title, the title he would’ve won multiple times I’m sure had terrible events not happened years ago!”

Allocco paces.

Allocco: “I’m trying to be a nice guy! And now, I’m being told at Rise to Greatness, I’m going to face both Amy Chastaine and Asher Hayes in a triple threat match?!”

The crowd cheers.

Sharper: “That’s exactly what’s happening!”

Allocco: “Look! Take it our on Casey or Colley…or Carrie, whatever he name is. See! I don’t even know her name! Meant nothing to me! Look, I got ahead of myself. Sorry, fell to my other vice. I gave up the bottle, I still have needs and well…okay, so I made a mistake. But look…I…”

Amy Chastaine walks out from the back, microphone in hand. The crowd cheers. Adam stops, seeing her come out from the back. Allocco smiles.

Allocco: “Amy! A Hall of Famer. You’re a smart woman-“

Chastaine: “Can you please just shut up?”

The crowd cheers.

Allocco: “Hey! If that helps you think, I’ll stay quiet for a moment! Just want to make sure you have the truth. I know you’ve been one to jump to conclusions before. But come on…trust me, one recovering alcoholic to another!”

Chastaine looks down, hearing that, clearly getting a reaction from her.

Chastaine: “Don’t ever hold that over me. Don’t ever think that also makes us the same, Adam. You and I are VERY different people and my struggles are not the same as yours, nor would I say yours are the same as mine!”

The crowd cheers as Allocco nods, putting his hands up, before making a zipping motion across his mouth. Chastaine recollects yourself.

Chastaine: “To be honest, Adam…I don’t give a damn whether you had anything to do with Carrie Lovejoy attacking me or not. You hitched your wagon to her and you seemed happy when she told you. And that’s good enough for me. You’re a terrible person. Even now, you just mentioned your son and never even mentioned you’re sorry.”

Allocco goes to speak, but then remembers he’s vowed to be silent.

Chastaine: “Adam…she may not be out with you, but she may not be done with you and I don’t think you’d turn her down if she comes back….nor do I think you’ve ended it with her. But I know she’ll be at Rise to Greatness…and one thing I’ll promise…one way or another, she’ll find out she tied her fortune to the wrong horse…Because Adam, you’ll be coming up lame, in more ways than one!”

Hayes: “This is a hole Adam dug and he’s lying in it and Amy and I are going to make him pay for it. Beyond that though, I’m coming for the win. Just like I know Amy is. Both of us…all three of us have the World Title in our minds. That’s why Adam was lured in by that sweet…young lady. I may have been when I was younger. Things changed. For Adam, not much has. And for Amy, it may be that she’s coming back but a half step slower. For me…I’ve sniffed that title too many times and come short. The tournament…third in the Taking Hold of the Flame. For me….Rise to Greatness is simple. I’m coming to win. And if Carrie Lovejoy is there…she’ll find out she’s not gonna be finding a champion who will side with her any time soon. And for Adam…just enjoy the ass-kicking. It’s free of charge!”

We then cut to see a shot of Carrie Lovejoy as she walks to the back, smirking as the scene fades out. The Rise to Greatness XX logo comes up on the screen.

The scene opens backstage as we see Jaina Lancaster standing in front of one of the locker rooms.

Lancaster: “One of the big matches tonight, Amy Chastaine, Adam Allocco and Asher Hayes clash. A lot of pride. A lot of revenge. But it has also affected some of Amy’s allies and friends, and I, Jaina Lancaster, am here with Simon Lyman. Simon…”

Simon Lyman comes into view and stands next to Jaina.

Lancaster: “Simon, thanks for joining me. And-“

Lyman: “Again, I’ll stress what I told your mother. Carrie Lovejoy can do what she wants. She’s not getting anything from me. Instead, I’d like to focus on my attention tonight, Gavin Taylor.”

Lancaster: “Of course. Also going to ask you about that. You’re facing Gavin Taylor, one on one, for the first time. A long history between you.”

Lyman: “And it’s my return to Rise to Greatness in that ring.”

Simon pauses.

Lyman: “I won’t be walking down there with a cane. I won’t be walking out there for the last time. I retired at this event against my best friend, Donovan. Tonight, I face a former friend in my return to the biggest stage in wrestling. And Gavin, there’s nothing more I need to say. I know I’ve been aggressive. I’ve stepped over lines. I know I’ve made those mistakes and I hope you understand that…that’s just something that now I have to deal with since I suffered my stroke. I wish I could control it more, but sometimes, I just can’t. That doesn’t mean when we face in that ring, one on one, we won’t give the world a show and see who is better between us. And while you’re the All-Star and everyone was talking about you at Taking Hold of the Flame, tonight…they’ll be talking about me, Simply Sensational, Simon Lyman!”

Lancaster: “Thank you Simon. Now let’s go to Gavin Sattler who is with Gavin Taylor.”

Lyman nods. The scene cuts to another part of the backstage area where supremecw.com’s Gavin Sattler stands with Gavin Taylor.

Sattler: “Thank you Jaina. Gavin, you just heard the words from Simon Lyman. Are you ready for his challenge?”

Taylor: “Ready? I was born ready. And now, having to deal with Gavin squared! The world can’t handle this. But in all seriousness, I’m ready. I was this close to main eventing this event. THIS close. And Simon, he’s an amazing talent. He was before and has proven he still has plenty in the tank. And I respect everything he’s come back from. But…I’m not here for the happy ending for him. I’m here for it for me. I have one goal – the World Title. And that means I need to win. Win tonight, win on Breakdown, win, win, win. That’s the only thing I can focus on. And it’s against…he said a former friend…interesting. Well Simon, the All-Star is here and looking to add more accolades!”

Taylor turns and heads off.

Sattler: “Jessica, back to you.”

The scene opens up with a wide shot of the Rogers Center, the camera panning across the building.

Winters: “Thank you Gavin, Jaina. Hearing from Simon Lyman and Gavin Taylor who will clash later tonight in what could be a classic.”

Black: “Putting it mildly. Lyman is one of the best pure wrestlers we’ve seen in this industry. We’ve always talked about Taylor’s potential. There’s no more room for potential. Time for results, for both. Lyman has time against him. Taylor has the perception.”

Winters: “Meanwhile, speaking of people who have things against them, we got this video earlier today.”

BACKSTAGE – EARLIER TONIGHT:

We see Alex Desoubrais Jr. standing defiantly in the backstage area. Lexy Chapel is a few feet away. We see security standing in front of Desoubrais.

Alex Jr.: “What? I’ve got to leave. Why?”

Chapel: “Yeah…why? Why does he need to leave? I mean-“

Chapel looks back and forth. One of the security guards steps up.

Guard: “You’ve been asked to leave and that’s good enough from us.”

Alex Jr.: “Why? I’m rebuilding my career. Lexy is going to give me what I’m owed-“

Chapel: “Oh…yeah…YEAH!”

Chapel looks around as she turns to the security guards.

Guard: “Come on.”

Alex Jr.: “Get off-“

The guards advance, grabbing Alex Jr. and pull his arm behind him. Alex Jr. tries to fight.

Alex Jr.: “Get off of me!”

Chapel: “Oh no! Alex! Oh…hey! I’ll figure this out! Yeah…”

Chapel looks back and forth and then heads in the opposite direction as Alex Jr. is dragged out off camera by security.

We return to a live shot.

Black: “You and I talked before the show and we wondered where he was last night. Figured he’d be a thorn in someone’s side. And tonight, he’s being tossed out.”

Winters: “Lexy Chapel doesn’t seem too fussed up about it. So that’s an interesting wrinkle. And with Lexy Chapel busy tonight, one thing for her not to worry about.”

Black: “That’s one way to put it.”

Winters: “Meanwhile, many of us will be having our eyes closely on the World Tag Team Championship match.”

A still comes up on the screen showing The One & Pro Kinneck vs. Statera vs. Rated X come up on the screen.

Black: “Three way dance, elimination rules, and three teams that have not been getting alone. Rated X at the center as they’ve pissed everyone off.”

The Rise to Greatness XX logo comes up on the screen.

We cut to see the Playgirls facing Rated X for the World Tag Team Championship. Colleen then pulls Ravyn in for a powerbomb, but Ravyn counters with the Evolutionary Sythesis. Colleen falls over. Ravyn goes for the pin. Aisling lunges into the ring, but Ace runs over and grabs her leg.

The crowd roars and Ravyn rolls out of the ring. Ace lets go as Aisling falls forward and looks up and glances back.

Phillips: “Here are your winners, via pinfall, and STILL SCW World Tag Team Champions, Ravyn Taylor and Ace Marshall, Rated X!”

Sharper: “Ace Marshall and Ravyn Taylor use the chaos again to their advantage. And the Playgirls, outnumbered the entire time, tried everything to keep their hopes alive.”

Rated X start to leave. We then hear a roar as Bree Lancaster and Datura step out from the back and watch. Ravyn, Crowe, Ace and Sophie head up the rampway. Datura and Bree Lancaster walk to the side and watch as Ravyn and Ace both lock eyes with them, and then head to the back.

Sharper: “Lancaster and Datura watching as Ace Marshall and Ravyn Taylor again flee Konrad Raab who still is incensed.”

We cut to see a shot of Bree Lancaster facing Justin Davis, defending her Television Championship. Ravyn Taylor hops the barricade, having been waiting in the crowd. Alexander Crowe comes over the barricade on the other side of the ring. Datura turns and heads over to Ravyn, but as this happens, the crowd erupts as we see Pro Kinneck and The One running through the crowd, having come up behind Crowe. Crowe reaches the ring and hops up. Bree goes to go for him, but before she can even reach, we see Pro hop over the apron and jump up and pull Crowe off. He hits the mats. The One runs over and stomps him. The crowd roars. Ravyn turns and runs around the ring and heads over to him.

Sharper: “Ravyn and Alexander Crowe were going to attack, but The One and Nicole Kinneck were watching.”

We cut to see a shots of Ravyn Taylor and Ace Marshall attacking Pro Kinneck backstage before Taking Hold of the Flame. We cut back as Bree then turns, refocusing on Davis. She lunges, but Davis catches her and throws her back with the Murphy’s Law.

The crowd roars as Davis rolls off.

Sharper: “We have a new TV Champion! Davis just pinned Bree Lancaster!”

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, and NEW SCW Television Champion, Justin Davis!”

Bree looks up as we then cut forward to see Pro Kinneck trying to fight off Ravyn Taylor and Ace Marshall as The One Kirsten Scott faces Syren in the ring.  The One then lowers her head and hoists Syren up into the electric chair. She turns, but Syren slides down. The One turns around and Syren hits the Bittersweet Ending! We cut to shots of Kinneck fighting Ravyn.

Sharper: “Bittersweet Ending!”

Syren turns and drops down for the pin.

1!

2!

3!

We see Sophie James running out from the back and nailing Nicole with a hard right. She nails her again. Ravyn then steps up and grabs Nicole.

Knots: “The Tag champs got involved and hurt Bree Lancaster. Now the One. Looks like they’re having their fun!”

The music change as we see Mr. D with Datura and Bree Lancaster backstage.

Datura: “Ace and Ravyn, they want to have fun. We’ll have fun. Just our way.”

Bree smirks.

Mr. D: “Alright. We can do that. I’ll get things figured out there.”

An emergency siren begins to go off, as a black and grey WARNING: EXPLICIT CONTENT appears on the screen.

"ADRENALIZE ME"

We see Ace Marshall, Sophie James and Ravyn Taylor heading to the ring, Sophie holding both tag titles.

Ravyn:  The SCW World Tag Team Championship will be on the line at Rise to Greatness and it appears that SCW really is struggling for teams ready to try to dethrone us. I mean, I can’t say much. We hadn’t competed as a team before we got our title shot, but we can only blame Selena Frost and her arrogance for that. But what is Bree Lancaster and Datura’s problem?”

Ravyn looks around while Ace Marshall suggestively eats a banana.

Ravyn: “They have a name – Statera. Derived from Latin, meaning balance. Clever. I mean, you need a name, right? But what is balanced about them? That Bree Lancaster competes regularly while Datura seems to be injured time and time again. Or that she fails to get the big win.”

Ace walks over to the microphone.

Ace: “Anyone got any more bananas?”

Ravyn looks at him. The two share a smirk.

Ravyn: “Your potassium is fine. I’m dressed to make that judgment.”

Ace: “You’d know better with more pineapple.”

Ravyn smirks as Sophie raises an eyebrow.

Ravyn: “So I fail to see the threat-“

The lights dim slightly as a male voice speaks:

“When's the last time you were afraid?”
“I haven't been afraid a day in my life.”

Bree Lancaster and Datura walk out on the stage.

Bree: “You can fail to see whatever threat you’d like, Ravyn. The fact is that you know as well as anyone what both of us can do separately. We’ve just not had the opportunity to do it together.”

Ravyn: “And you’d know that is a very different thing. I mean, you’re used to people like Sienna Swann or Blake Mason bossing you around.”

Bree rolls her eyes.

Ravyn: “Have you had a match together yet-“

Datura takes the microphone from Bree. She looks down at the ring. The crowd roars.

Datura: “We can fix that quickly enough, Ravyn. Because D has my medical clearance.

We’re marching to Rise to Greatness to take those World Tag Team Championship. And you can try to have an army come after us. You tried last week. And bring the cauliflower. You can run down how I come close, but not close enough. I’m holding gold here, elsewhere. I know what I am capable of. And one idiot, and one savant aren’t going to stop Bree and I from winning those titles together.”

The crowd roars.

Datura: “So-“

“The One” Kirsten Scott and Pro Kinneck come up and Scott shoves Datura forward and knocks her down. She drops the microphone as Kinneck does the same to Bree. Bree stops and turns as the crowd roars. Kinneck steps forward as Scott grabs the microphone. Datura gets up.

Ace: “Fight! Fight! Fight! THROW HER OFF THE STAGE!”

Scott: “Shut the hell up!”

Bree Lancaster and Datura look at “The One” and Pro Kinneck.

Scott: “I realize you earned this shot at Retribution, but the fact that that was months ago and both of our teams haven’t gotten our shot, all because she was injured…sorry, I’m done waiting. Weeks ago, those two attacked Pro all because Ravyn was afraid of facing her one more time. And trust me, she is going to destroy Ravyn when she gets her hands on her.”

The crowd roars. Ravyn mockingly puts her hands up.

Scott: “But while you may be next in line, we’re cutting ahead. Because you…you’ve earned nothing since in the tag division…”

Mr. D: “Stop!”

Ace smirks as The One, Kinneck, Datura and Lancaster all look at one another on the stage.

Mr. D: “The fact is that while you and Datura may be next in line, Scott and Kinneck have been targeted by our Tag Champions and deserve their revenge!”

The crowd roars.

Ravyn: “How unfortunate. Here I was hoping to see how balanced you both were?”

Mr. D looks in the ring.

Mr. D: “Oh, I’m not taking that away. Because instead, at Rise to Greatness, we’re going to see both teams challenge you for the World Tag Team Championship.”

The crowd roars.

Mr. D: “And to make it a bit more fair…because I know you two love the chaos. It won’t be triple threat rules. It will be a three way dance, meaning it is elimination rules. Scott and KinneckStatera…and Rated X for the World Tag Team Championship!”

We then cut to shots of Bree Lancaster and Datura fighting Ravyn Taylor and Ace Marshall all over the arena in an Unsanctioned Title match, before showing Kinneck fighting Sophie and Ravyn at ringside, and shots of The One Kirsten Scott fighting with Ace or Ravyn, and Bree Lancaster and Datura fighting them in the ring.

Sharper: “Three way dance. Elimination rules. Three teams for the World Tag Team Championship at Rise to Greatness.”

Knots: “Consequences are going to come home. We’re going to see what type of strategy Ravyn can come up and if Ace can focus to keep it going.”

Sharper: “War may be coming, but the overwhelm through numbers may not get it done this time!”

The Rise to Greatness XX logo comes up on the screen.

The scene opens up with a wide shot of the floor of the Rogers Center.

Winters: “World Tag Team Titles on the line. One of several titles on the line tonight. And you can see, the floor of the Rogers Center, filling up. Nearly 70 000 people will be here live to see this. And before we continues, we do have some news.”

Black: “This…this in one sense I’m not surprised, but disappointing nonetheless.”

Winters: “We are being told that Pro Kinneck is not in the building. She has not arrived. And we’re even told that she did not make her flight. We have heard rumours backstage of Kinneck and Scott having some increased difficulties.”

Black: “They’ve looked like they were fine on Breakdown. But with Nicole, and her situation, whoever is in the driver’s seat, that can lead to some notable shifts in behaviour and it may have almost been a matter of time.”

Winters: “We will try and get an update from The One Kirsten Scott later tonight, but this is something we are following.”

Black: “And that’s not all.”

Winters: “And this we saw last night. You saw it from ringside.”

LAST NIGHT – RISE TO GREATNESS XX PRE-SHOW:

The music plays for quite some time and it is not until quite a bit into the song when Polly emerges from the back in handcuffs, being led on a dog collar and leash by former Asylum Wrestling Alliance World Champion, Marissa Swanson, both of them wearing matching simple short black strapless dresses.

Black: “I’m worried about Polly. You see her being led to the ring by Marissa Swanson.”

Winters: “And Colleen and Aisling after the match, after this odd entrance, and Swanson holding something over Polly, you see the run out, trying to help Polly. We know security is on this.”

Black: “I’ve talked to my contacts and they are on the look out for Marissa Swanson and Polly to find out what is going on. But Colleen and Aisling are going to have reset. They have a match. A match they wanted!”

We cut to after the match, where Syren holds the title in the ring for a few moments longer before the scene cuts away. But as this is happening, the crowd roars as we see Colleen and Aisling running out from the back. Colleen has pliers in her hand. Marissa grabs Polly, having reconnected the leash, and pulls her out of the ring. She then manages to get her to the barricade. Colleen and Aisling run over as Marissa gets a boot up to catch Colleen and then Aisling grabs her, but Marissa bites her hands. Aisling pulls away as Marissa pulls Polly over the barricade and starts to snap at her. Polly slowly follows her, glancing back as Colleen and Aisling get up, Colleen holding her finger, and then getting up and chasing after. The RTG XX logo comes up on the screen.

Winters: “And with that match, let’s now go back to ringside!”

Happy Farmstead Friends vs. The Playgirls vs. Chance Owens & Kelsai Adamson

A coin can be heard dropping into a coin slot and then the words “START GAME” show up on SCW’s Jumbotron. A bunch of girls can be heard giggling before “C’est La Vie” by B*Witched begins to play. The screens flash a series of colours before we see Colleen and Aisling walk out from the back. Colleen is more focused as Aisling looks around and starts to try and get the crowd going. The nameplates come out as Colleen just starts to head to the ring.

Phillps: “Fans, the following contest is a triple threat tag match, scheduled for onefall, with a twenty minute time limit. First, on their way to the ring, both hailing from Utah, they are the team of Colleen and Aisling, the Playgirls!”

Colleen continues to march to the ring as Aisling follows a few strides behind, trying to make the most of the moment. Colleen looks around, scanning the crowd, as Aisling appears to do the same. The cameras follow them down to the ring before Colleen reaches the ring and rolls in. Aisling runs to the ring and slides in. She hops up and runs to the corner and steps up and looks around the stadium as Colleen stretches out on the ropes.

Sharper: “We know their attention may be elsewhere as we saw that Polly is being controlled by another individual, one some wrestling fans may recall, namely Marissa Swanson.

Knots: “A ridiculous situation there. As Black said, we know security is watching for them.”

Sharper: “Colleen hasn’t stopped scanning the crowd. You don’t think she’s hiding in the crowd.”

You like to hunt, your game is fear
I was the one, your souvenir
This is a fight, the one that you've been asking for
You did incite the call for us to go to war

Jagged green lights play across the screen and the stage as a voice that can only belong to the one and only Chris Jericho belts out the words to “Wolves At Bay.” Spotlights move around near the entranceway and one of them catches someone's right arm in its beam.

Pushing and pushing
Giving me no choice
Humiliate, intimidate
Until I hit the breaking point

The spotlights are still moving around on the stage as the lights on the screen start forming a pattern. One of the moving spotlights dances across someone's left leg.

Back to the wall
Keeping the wolves at bay
Fight my way out
'Cause it's the only way

The lights on the screen settle into a final configuration spelling out the name “Chance Owens” before morphing into “Kelsai Adamson” before then interchanging between them. We then see Chance Owens walk out from the back and looking down at the ring. Next to him is Kelsai Adamson as the two stand on the stage, admiring the view. The cameras focus on him for a few moments before the nameplate comes up.

Phillips: “Next, both hailing from Denver, Colorado, they are the team of Kelsai Adamson and Roadblock Chance Owens!”

Owens and Adamson step forward as they then head to the ring, both focused. The cameras follow them down the rampway as they make their way down. Both ignore fans who reach out, trying to touch them. They continue on their way to the ring before Owens runs to the ring and slides in and rolls over and gets up. Adamson climbs to the apron and then climbs up to the middle turnbuckle and looks around the arena. She then hops down to the floor. The two then walk across the ring before talking to one another.

Sharper: “This all started when the Playgirls wanted to face the former Tag Champs. Instead Chance Owens and Kelsai Adamson found a way to add themselves to this.”

Knots: “They want to see face the champs. They want to beat former champions, former number one contenders. They have that with the Playgirls and the Farmstead Friends.”

The crowd roars as jaunty and generic royalty free music begins to play throughout the Rogers Center, leading to a roar from the crowd. On the big screen, a unicorn gallops across a beautiful, flowery field, leaving petals exploding into the air underneath its hooves. It gets closer to the camera as it prepares to fly off, but not before evacuating its bowels, which take the form of letters in a bubble font, reading:

Lexy Chapel Presents

HAPPY FARMSTEAD FRIENDS

From behind the curtain, Dancing Bear steps out from the stage, refusing to dance, as he stands in his suit. He just glances back before walking forward.. Following close behind is Hairless Penguin, clad in his mask and a full suit, plus a moderately priced steel string guitar held over his shoulder. The two make their way to the center of the stage before Lexy Chapel makes her way out behind them, squeezing in between them to take her place on center stage. She physically and literally presents them with her arms at her sides. Hairless Penguin poses stoically while Dancing Bear sighs. After a moment of fantastical posing, they begin to make their way down the ramp.

Phillips: “And finally, accompanied by Lexy Chapel, from the Happy Farmstead, Lexy Chapel presents Hairless Penguin and Dancing Bear, the Happy Farmstead Friends!”

Lexy barks at Dancing Bear to keep dancing, but he ignores her with Hairless Penguin playing guitar along to the royalty free music. Hairless Penguin makes his way up the steps and into the ring, holding his guitar into the air. Behind him, Dancing Bear struggles to get into the ring because he's in an oversized suit, but he eventually gets there. Lexy takes her place on the outside of the ring, searching for the nearest child to remind them to tell their parents to buy some Happy Farmstead Friends merchandise. Hairless Penguin takes off his blazer and hands off the guitar off to the timekeeper before taking his place in the corner.

Sharper: “Well that was interesting.”

Knots: “Since Taking Hold of the Flame, Dancing Bear has lost a bit of a jump in his step.”

Sharper: “He thinks he was flayed. Syren used his suit. Bear seemingly seeing it as part of him. But nonetheless, he and Penguin have always been a good unit. But you wonder if Penguin is disappointed. He was hoping to competing for singles titles.”

The Hairless Penguin turns to Dancing Bear. Colleen paces in the ring as Chance Owens steps in for his team. The official, Steve Hollinsworth, tells Hairless Penguin to exit. He does. Kelsai and Aisling stand on the apron. The bell sounds. Colleen then runs at Chance Owens who spins her into the Owens/Adamson corner. Owens goes for a hard right. Colleen blocks it and nails him with one. The crowd ohs as Colleen then forearms him in the jaw once and then again before then grabbing him by the head and pulling him down to the mat with a headlock takedown.

Owens rolls his shoulder off the canvas and starts to get up. Colleen holds on and Owen gets to his feet. He then pulls her back into the ropes and fires her off. Colleen bounces and Owen steps up and shoulders her down.

Knots: “Living up to his nickname. Roadblock.”

Sharper: “Hard shoulder takes down Colleen as Colleen went right for Owens. Undoubtedly, something up with Polly Playtime and that woman with her last night.”

Knots: “Looking to win fast to get out of here to find Polly.”

Owens runs into the ropes. Colleen rolls toward him. Owens hops over and runs over and nails Aisling with a shot .She falls off the apron. Chance glares at her for good measure and turns around as Colleen takes him down with a Lou Thesz press. The crowd roars. She hammers away on him. Chance covers up and Colleen gets up and runs into the ropes. She bounces off and Penguin tags himself in. Colleen ignores it and hits a running splash. She stays on him, but Hairless Penguin runs over and grabs Colleen, lifting her up and throwing her through the ropes to the floor. Penguin then jumps to the middle rope and hits a springboard Trust Fall onto Owens. The crowd ohs and Penguin goes for the pin.

Owens kicks out. Both men get up.

Sharper: “Penguin showing his own aggressiveness. Off the ropes. Trust Fall only gets two.”

Knots: “And he wants this moment. Last year, I mean, they were almost maimed. Set on fire.”

Sharper: “Should be a quieter night there on that front at least!”

Owens turns and Penguin clubs him in the back once and then again before shoving him into the Farmstead corner. Penguin tags in Bear. Bear looks at him and sighs, slowly entering the ring, nearly getting stuck. Penguin then holds Owens as Bear steps to the middle of the ring, clumsily and half-heartedly moonwalking before running at Owens. Penguin moves out of the way and Bear hits a splash. Owens falls out of the corner. Bear then walks over and just places his foot on the chest of Owens.

Owens kicks out. Bear then looks down at him and yells at him.

Bear: “STAY DOWN. YOU’VE NOT BEEN FLAYED! HAVE YOU!”

Owens just nails him with a hard right. Bear staggers back and into the corner. Penguin tags back in. Owens gets up and Penguin slingshots in and runs at Owens who then grabs him and hip tosses him into the Owens/Adamson corner. The crowd ohs. Penguin rolls back and ends up on his back. Owens then tags in Adamson. Adamson climbs up to the top rope and Owens grabs her in a military press before throwing her down chest first into Penguin. She stays down for the pin.

Penguin kicks out. Adamson gets up and grabs Penguin. She then snapmares him down and hits a dropkick to the back. Penguin rolls over in pain. Adamson turns and runs into the ropes. Colleen, now back up, clubs her in the back. Adamson stumbles forward and turns and runs, nailing Colleen with a shot.

Sharper: “Colleen got some revenge for Chance knocking Aisling off.”

Knots: “And Kelsai now standing up for herself!”

Adamson backs up and Penguin grabs her and hits a back suplex into a bridge.

Adamson rolls out of it. Penguin gets up and turns and Aisling reaches out and tags herself in. Kelsai gets up only for Aisling to enter and run past Penguin before hitting a running dropkick. Kelsai falls back and hits the corner. She falls to a knee. Aisling then walks over and grabs her and pulls her out and hits a snap suplex. Aisling moves next to her and hits a standing moonsault. She goes for the pin.

2!

Kelsai kicks out. Penguin rolls to the floor, jawing with Chance now as he walks around. Lexy now takes over and yells at Chance. Aisling drags Kelsai up and then kicks her in the ribs and whips her into the ropes. Aisling bends over for a back drop, but Kelsai leapfrogs over and hits the ropes. She then hits a handstand into a headscissors before going for a hurricanrana, but Aisling cartwheels through. Adamson gets up and Aisling runs at her and she spins around her, running her into the ropes and going for an Okana roll.

Aisling kicks out and Kelsai falls into the ropes. Bear then just kicks at her head. Kelsai rolls over, stunned before then looks up as Aisling hits a flipping senton landing on her chest. She stays down.

Kelsai counters with a sunset flip.

Colleen kicks her in the back. Kelsai rolls back as Aisling rolls back too. Kelsai then runs at Aisling, but Aisling ducks a clothesline. Both run into the ropes. Chance and Colleen both tag themselves in. Adamson and Aisling then run at one another and both drill each other with a double crossbody. The crowd ohs as both roll out of the way and Chance runs at Colleen and goes for a clothesline, but Colleen ducks and Chance stops and turn Colleen bounces off the other side and jumps up and hits a running hip attack. She goes for the pin.

Both members of the Farmstead Friends enter and dive onto Colleen. The crowd ohs. Both then get up and Bear pulls Colleen up by the hair. Hairless Penguin glances back and then slides as he grabs her and starts to hold her in a waistlock. Colleen fights off, but Penguin runs into the ropes in front of her and jumps up with a flying clothesline as Bear hits an awkward looking side German suplex, causing Colleen to land on her side. Bear then gets up and drops down, rolling to the floor. Penguin rolls to the floor and checks on his partner as Lexy says something to him and he turns and snaps at her. The crowd roars.

Sharper: “The Farmstead Friends making the impact there.”

Knots: “Nothing was pretty about it.”

Sharper: “Colleen thrown back by Bear and Bear now getting into it with Lexy Chapel. That relationship has been on the rocks since Syren took his suit at Taking Hold of the Flame!”

Knots: “He was saying earlier he had been flayed!”

Sharper: “Good lord…”

Penguin tries to get Bear to stop as Bear now snaps at her, even having to be held back by Penguin. Chapel just looks on stunned as we see Aisling and Kelsai, both now back up, and they run at the ropes, but Aisling elbows Kelsai in the jaw. Kelsai falls to a knee. Aisling steps through to the apron and she goes to jump up, but Kelsai nails her with a shot. Aisling holds on, narrowly falling off. Kelsai exits to the apron. She forearms Aisling. Aisling forearms back and then Kelsai grabs her and pushes her against the top rope, but Kelsai goes for a springboard only for Aisling to grab her in a bearhug and they both fly off the apron and into the Farmstead Friends. Chapel backs up, avoiding the impact. The crowd roars.

Sharper: “Kelsai Adamson and Aisling both had the same idea. Both wanted to do it, and in the process, both did it, together, not how they wanted.”

Knots: “And the Farmstead Friends were the target! Have your therapy session elsewhere!”

In the ring, Colleen runs at Owens who catches her and hits the Checkstop. Colleen falls back into the neutral corner. Owens runs at her and spears her hard in the corner. The crowd ohs as Colleen stumbles out and Chance Owens scoops her up and hits a Brake Check and throws her down to the mat. Owens turns and looks around the ring. Aisling and Kelsai stir on the floor. They get up as Owens turns and sees Aisling kick Kelsai in the knee and then turns and runs her face first into the apron. Kelsai staggers back and Aisling grabs her and throws her in again. Owens then runs at the ropes and hits a baseball slide, knocking Aisling down. Kelsai looks up and smiles as Owens nods.

Sharper: “Chance Owens helping Kelsai Adamson.”

Knots: “How heartwarming. They like each other. Wonderful. Doing what you should do in a tag match!”

Owens gets up and turns as Colleen then lifts him up and hits a flapjack. Colleen gets up and runs into the ropes, bouncing off and hitting a running leg drop to the back of Owens’s head. She rolls him over for the pin. Adamson sends Aisling into the steel steps. She goes down. Adamson then climbs to the apron only for Penguin and Bear to grab her and powerbomb her off the apron to the mats. The crowd ohs. Colleen with the pin.

Owens kicks out. Owens rolls over. Colleen gets up and grabs him and Owens hits a jawjacker. Colleen staggers back to the ropes. Bear tags himself in as Penguin then pulls Colleen down to the mats. She lands on her feet as Penguin then jumps up and hits a frankensteiner on the floor. Bear rolls in, struggling.

Sharper: “Colleen sent to the floor as Bear tags in. Chance Owens may not know.”

Knots: “And just like that the switch flipping. Farmstead Bros before Hos!”

Bear then runs at Owens who ducks a clothesline. Bear hits the ropes and Owens goes low, hooking him by the legs and taking him over. He then hoists up the legs and turns, locking Bear into the Dead End! He leans back. Bear yells in pain as Penguin turns and looks up. He sees Bear in trouble and rolls into the ring as Chapel just rolls her eyes. Bear then starts to tap out as Penguin falls to his hands and knees. The bell sounds. The crowd roars. Chance Owens then throws Bear down.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via submission, Chance Owens and Kelsai Adamson!”

Penguin looks up and Chance Owens walks forward. Penguin turns and goes over to check on Bear. Adamson rolls into the ring, wincing in pain. Colleen is helped up by Aisling and the two look into the ring. Aisling turns to the ring before Colleen motions to her and they start to head to the back.

Sharper: “Chance Owens and Kelsai Adamson who forced their way into this match, making it a triple threat, have won!”

Knots: “And Owens probably got what he wanted too…he wanted to beat the former tag champs. A slap in the face to the Playgirls and the win over the Farmstead!”

Penguin checks on Bear who holds his back. Lexy Chapel stands at ringside, hands on her hips, looking into the ring. The crowd looks on as Owens has his arm raised. He turns and heads over to Adamson, helping her up as she winces a bit. She then looks at Penguin and Bear before Owens raises her arm. The crowd looks on as Adamson winces some more.

Winters: “Congratulations to Kelsai Adamson and Chance Owens.”

Black: “They took a chance, got in it, and got the win. And Lexy Chapel won’t be happy, but she has other focuses.”

A still for Syren vs. Xander Valentine comes up on the screen.

Winters: “Putting it mildly. Syren successfully defended the SCW Adrenaline Championship last night on the Pre-Show. But tonight, she faces Xander Valentine and with a huge stakes.”

Black: “Syren wins or she has to win ten matches in a row to get back into World Title contention. Xander wins or he retires.”

Winters: “And at the heart of this is who is Syren these days and also, who is Xander Valentine?”

The Rise to Greatness XX logo comes up on the screen.

The scene opens up with the Apocalypse 2022 logo coming up on the screen as we see Syren facing Xander Valentine for the SCW World Championship. Xander pulls Syren up and suddenly Syren nails him in the stomach again, but this time, she then backs up and hits an enziguri kick. She rolls over and gets up as Xander is dazed. Syren gets some distance and runs at Xander, jumping up for a Total Makeover, but Xander steps into it, grabbing her and catching her on one shoulder before maneuvering her into the rack position only to drop her with the Valhalla Has Fallen!

Sharper: “Syren tries for Total Makeover, but oh my! The strength! The strength!”

Lyman: “Just muscling her up. He caught her!”

Knots: “Manhandling her and into the- OH God!”

Sharper: “Valhalla has Fallen!”

Xander rolls her over and falls onto her.

1!

2!

3!

Xander rolls off as the crowd roars. The bell sounds. Several fans come to their feet cheering.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via pinfall, and STILL SCW World Champion, Xander Valentine!”

Sharper: “What a match! What a match!”

Lyman: “And Syren will have to wait…her moment, not here.”

We then cut forward to see Syren down in the ring before seeing Mr. D placing the title around Xander Valentine’s waist.

Sharper: “And Mr. D entering the ring…and not placing the title around Syren’s waist, but around Xander Valentine’s.”

Knots: “Oh…she’s not going to be happy about this.”

We then see a shot of Syren in the ring disappointed before the Retribution 2023 logo comes up on the screen. We see Syren facing Xander Valentine again. Syren jumps up and hits a neckbreaker on Xander. Syren rolls over and moves to the apron. She then springboards to the top rope, twisting as she does, and then dives off, going for the Beauty Spot, but Xander catches her and just throws her down to the mat. Syren hits hard and rolls over. She starts to get up and Xander just steps forward and grabs her by the head and neck and pulls her back, locking in the Fade to Black!

Sharper: “Syren countered! Beauty Spot countered! Fade to Black!”

We see Xander kneeing her over and over as Syren struggles before going limp. We hear the bell sound. Xander then looks down at Syren and turns and just throws her across the ring. Syren hits the mat and rolls to the apron before dropping down to the floor. Some fans boo.

Phillips: “Here is your winner, via submission, Xander Valentine!”

Knots: “Just tossing Syren to the floor after!”

Sharper: “Just more pure disrespect. Syren passing out, unable to find a quick answer from one of the most devastating submissions in wrestling. And Xander tosses her to the floor.”

Artemis enters the ring, glancing at Syren, but otherwise ignoring her. Xander turns as Cassidy raises his arm. The crowd cheers as his music plays. Xander then pulls away before Artemis grabs his arm and raises his arm. The camera cuts to Syren down on the floor, now with Jennifer Cassidy checking on her. Xander stands in the ring having his arm raised. Xander then walks around the ring and looks at Syren before scoffing a bit and then turning as Artemis tells something to Xander.

We see shots of Syren trying to approach Xander, before showing her with Ravyn Taylor backstage, with Syren getting increasingly angry, before cutting to showing Lexy Chapel standing with Syren before raising Syren’s arm. She looks at Lexy as Lexy starts getting the chants going.

Sharper: “Syren turning to Lexy Chapel these days. Moving away form Ravyn Taylor, from Infamous.”

We then cut forward to see Ravyn Taylor talking with Alexander Crowe as Syren walks past them. Syren then turns and speeds up to walk past them.

Ravyn: “Zoe!”

Syren stops and turns. Crowe turns to Ravyn.

Crowe: “You don’t need to prod her.”

Ravyn: “Of course I do. When my wife comes out in a bear suit, from a kid who is too stupid to understand that he’s got deep mental problems, and isn’t standing here with pure shame. That’s worth prodding over.”

We see a shot of Xander Valentine eliminating Syren in the Taking Hold of the Flame before cutting to show Syren in the Dancing Bear suit back in the ring before showing the Bear hitting the Total Makeover on Xander and later then showing Ravyn Taylor exposing Syren as under the bear suit.

Syren: “We had few options.”

Ravyn: “So you say.”

Syren: “Keep lording things over you. I’m the proud Adrenaline Champion. I’ll be defending my title in a few weeks-“

Ravyn: “And it’s not the World Title.”

Syren: “Who says it needs to be? You know what…maybe I need this. Maybe I needed the clean slate. To hold and compete for a title I didn’t think about because I was so focused on one thing. And I’ll get a shot at the World Title again, but maybe, maybe I needed this to remind myself what I can do. Not what I used to do. What I needed an army to do. Why I can do. Okay?”

Ravyn just smirks.

Syren: “So enjoy your title reign. Enjoy mocking me. Because…”

Syren pauses, almost as if something has clicked.

Syren: “Because you know what…I’m seeing things as clearly as I have in a long time.”

Syren turns and storms off. Ravyn watches her leave.

We then cut to see the LexyCorp logo before showing Lexy Chapel standing with Syren, backstage with Jessica Winters.

Wintters: “Welcome backstage. Jessica Winters here and I’m with Lexy Chapel and Syren. A lot on your mind Syren as you focus on Xander Valentine and the –“

Chapel: “Jessica, Jessica…don’t need to keep bringing up something that won’t happen. We know Xander won’t respond! So let’s focus on things that will.”

Syren just watches Chapel.

Winters: “You agree Syren?”

Chapel: “Of course she does. And that’s why the focus is on the Adrenaline Championship. See, I can tell you right now, she’s SOOOOO confident of winning that at Rise to Greatness XX, you know what she’s going to do instead of getting a win by forfeit by Xander not showing up – that’s right…defending the Adrenaline Championship. And she’s already put it out there. I did too. I’m looking for the best challenge and as a result, I’ve put out an open challenge!”

We see static before showing Syren at the announce table, coming up with Adam Sharper and Jonathan Knots.

Sharper: “Syren? What are-“

Syren: “No…just listen. I know Xander’s not here. But I bet he’s watching. And I know what he’s thinking. He’s got nothing. His entire life was focused on the World Title and stopping Allocco.”

We see shots of Xander Valentine chokeslamming Adam Allocco, beating him for the World Title, and then showing Adam Allocco being pinned by Selena Frost at Taking Hold of the Flame.

Syren: “And both are done. So Xander, what else do you have left? Well, I still want my match against him. I still want him. And I’ll happily take him on at Rise to Greatness. So Xander…you’re watching…tell me what you want…and I’ll give it. I want you. I want to close that chapter. I need that…and you need a new purpose.!”

We then cut to see Syren in the ring, as Ace Marshall, Ravyn Taylor, Bree Lancaster, Datura, and The One fight at ringside. Xander Valentine storms to the ring, as we see Lexy Chapel trying to stop Syren. The scene keeps staticking

Knots: “And Lexy wants Syren to leave!”

Sharper: “She’s not leaving!”

Xander then steps up and looks down at Syren.

Xander: “You want to fail again?”

Syren just looks at Xander.

Lexy: “No! No she doesn’t!”

Xander: “Fine…”

Syren looks at Xander, a smile coming over her face. Lexy shakes her head. Xander just looks at her before stepping back and turning.

Sharper: “Did you hear that? He accepted to face her!”

Knots: “For the Adrenaline Title? Generally? She offered any stipulation he wanted!”

Sharper: “He just said yes!”

We then see shots of Lexy Chapel, holding up the SCW Adrenaline Championship, in fast motion, before showing Xander Valentine standing over Syren in the ring.

Xander: “You’re going to agree right now. You said it last week. I want to know if you are the coward I think you are! You’ll face me! By the terms you said, any stipulation I want!”

Syren looks back at Lexy.

Syren: “But the Adrenaline-“

Xander: “Do what you want there. You’re not going to back out of this. You’re right I don’t have anything else. But you will face me on MY terms.”

Xander looks at Syren. Syren just looks around.

Lexy: “Ignore him! Ignore-“

Syren just nods.

Chapel: “No! Just no-“

Chapel enters the ring and grabs a microphone.

Chapel: “I have to agree-“

She walks up and Xander immediately headbutts her down. The crowd ohs as Lexy is down, seemingly unconscious. Without any hesitation, Syren kicks him in the ribs and hits the Total Makeover. Xander rolls over to the ropes. Syren then looks at him before diving over to Lexy and checking on her.

Valentine: “Syren!”

The crowd roars.

Valentine: “This was a match you wanted. And now thanks to Lexy Chapel, that was thrown into doubt. And after I agreed to give you it…”

We see Xander in the ring before Syren heads to the ring, starting to go to it.

Valentine: “I beat you at Retribution and you think Lexy Chapel is not only the answer, but worth protecting…maybe I am right about you? So maybe Rise to Greatness needs to be a mercy killing. You’ve agreed to give me any stipulation I want. And I’ve given it a lot of thought…”

Valentine looks at Syren.

Valentine: “First off, this is it. No rematches.”

Syren nods, saying “okay.”

Valentine: “Now beyond Rise to Greatness…We’re going to find out if Syren is even worth my time. Because you’re right. I may not have other avenues because I’ve been so focused. But I’m going to make sure your obstinacy will have a price! And it may be that you never hold the World Title again! You’re happy with the Adrenaline Championship…great…let’s test that.”

Xander pauses, looking right at Syren.

Valentine: “Because either you walk through me a winner…or I’m going to make you must prove you deserve to be back at the top. I’ll make it easy. Because there was a time I was asked to have to win twenty-five matches in a row or I’d never touch the World Title again. I won’t be that cruel. But either you beat me…or you need to win ten matches in a row to even be considered for a World Championship shot. Just like I had held over me at one point. Not even the twenty-five wins I was forced to do at one point. When I stood up to Infamous in the past…You want it so bad…you can either beat me for instant credibility again or you can force yourself to look in the damn mirror for good. And Lexy can’t help there…”

Syren just nods. Xander scoffs.

Valentine: “But sadly, you’ll need to deal with that…because Syren, I’m so confident you’ll fall short that if you win, I’ll walk away from SCW for good.”

“Through the Noise” by Nita Strauss and Lzzy Hale plays as we see shots of Syren holding the SCW World Championship, several of them with Infamous around her. We then cut to shots of Syren with Ravyn Taylor backstage, some more friendly, others more tense.

Scream, make your destiny
'Cause I can hear you through the noise, through the noise

This is followed by shots of Syren with Lexy Chapel, some of her looking at her incredulously, others showing Lexy promoting her, and others of Syren caring for Lexy after she was attacked by Xander Valentine, shots of Xander headbutting her down follow before we cut to see Alexander Crowe running out to stop Syren as she storms to the ring, interspersed with cuts of Xander in the ring.

So scream, make your destiny
'Cause I can't hear you through the noise, through the noise
Through the noise, through the noise
This crowd won't recognize your crown (won't recognize your crown)
Doesn't mean you're out
When you hit a rut, keep it up (keep it up)
If you wanna cut, if you wanna cut through the noise (through the noise)
Through the noise (through the noise)
Cut through the noise (through the noise)
Through the noise

We cut to shots of Xander with the World Title being placed around his waist by Mr. D, followed by shots of Xander dropping Syren with the Valhalla has Fallen, throwing her down with the Fade to Black, before cutting to shots of Syren proudly holding the SCW Adrenaline Championship and standing with Lexy Chapel.

Xander then steps back as Syren looks at him. She looks down, absorbed what was said.

Sharper: “Did he just vow to win or he’ll retire?”

Knots: “Xander Valentine has beaten Syren twice. Pinned her, or made her submit. And Xander doesn’t like this situation.”

Sharper: “Syren refusing to move on. Xander, now with Adam Allocco sidelined…he’s making sure after Rise to Greatness, he’s done with everything. A fresh slate.”

Knots: “Is that what he wants? Why would he ever put that up?”

Xander turns and exits to the apron. He drops down to the floor. Xander Valentine calmly as Artemis joins him. Syren gulps a bit as she looks down. They head to the back as the scene cuts away.

Syren: “I agreed to the match for a simple reason. I said I wanted this. And I’m not going to go back on my word. When he knocked Lexy down, it made it all the more important. But Lexy is right about one thing – people change. And I’m the proud Adrenaline Champion. This is my life right now. He won’t give me respect. That’s fine. I’ll just do the one thing Lexy has reminded me of…there is no one I’ve been in the ring with that I haven’t beaten and I don’t intend to make her a liar now.”

Chapel: “Be TOTALLY Jealous Xander!”

As we end with a shot of Syren proudly standing as Adrenaline Champion. The Rise to Greatness XX logo comes up on the screen.

We return with a wide shot of the live crowd in the Rogers Centre.

Winters: “Syren and Xander Valentine to face in a match with, we’ve said, huge personal stakes. And you can see the fans filling up the Rogers Center. We are almost here. Heartbeats away from the start of Rise to Greatness XX officially.”

Black: “But there’s one more match we should talk about. And it has huge personal stakes too.”

A still for Kandis vs. Selena Frost comes up on the screen.

Winters: “World Title on the line. Selena Frost defends against Kandis. Kandis has waited for this match for fifteen months. She was scheduled to challenge Selena Frost last spring for the Title. It didn’t happen because of injury. For Selena Frost, she sees the shifts in SCW as condemning SCW’s future. She’s trying to fight for integrity. And she will do what she can to avoid Kandis becoming champion.”

Black: “Both with the weight of their own goals on their minds and shoulders tonight.”

Winters: “And before we leave, we’ll get their final words. First, to Gavin Sattler who is with the Taking Hold of the Flame winner, and number one contender, the challenger, Kandis!”

The scene cuts backstage where we see Kandis sitting down on a storage crate next to Gavin Sattler.

Sattler: “Thank you Jessica. Kandis-“

Kandis: “Could’ve even send the second string…I mean I do still owe her a nice few smacks across the mouth just for being who she is.”

Kandis stands up.

Sattler: “Well-“

Kandis: “Just stand there and hold the microphone. Because I’ve said plenty. Fifteen months in the making. How this should’ve happened a hell of a lot earlier. You know what, I don’t give a damn what Selena Frost thinks or wants. She’s had her time. Time for me to take what should’ve been mine months ago. That should’ve been mine a YEAR ago. Sometimes people just want to see someone like themselves grind. Well I’ve grinded, I’ve done what I need to, I’ve been passed over, I’ve been screwed over, and yeah, I’ve been screwed. And all of it leads to this moment where I’m going to be ON TOP.”

Kandis looks at the camera.

Kandis: “No more sidelines. Nothing stopping me except a blonde bitch who needs to be knocked down MANY pegs and I’m going to enjoy every minute of kicking her ass. We all saw it. Breakdown. I had her pinned. Period. And it’s going to happen tonight. And that World Title is going be around this.”

Kandis turns around and showcases her body some.

Kandis: “And she’s going to have to get used to it…as will everyone else!”

Kandis shoves Gavin back.

Kandis: “Selena…your turn. Say what you want. It’s the last time people will BELIEVE IT!”

Kandis smirks.

The camera changes to show Selena Frost standing with Jaina Lancaster, looking bemused, as she has the SCW World Championship over her shoulder.

Lancaster: “Selena, I’ll leave it to you.”

Selena scoffs a bit.

Selena: “Let her run her mouth.”

Selena pauses.

Selena: “Kandis…you are someone who if they become the World Champion, the world is a worse off place for it. The fact that some people cheer you when you have no redeemable qualities…So life hit you hard. It’s hit many of us hard. You had an injury and had to work back here. OH GOD No! And the rumours that you performed sexual favours to get your Taking Hold of the Flame spot. Why we have not the most respected official in wrestling history presiding over this important main event, but instead a career con-artist and manipulator in CHBK?! That’s on you…and it’s not going to help you. I can’t let you win tonight. I undid my role in last year’s tragedy. I beat Adam Allocco to stand here as World Champion. And I have to aim straight and shoot this challenge in the heart!”

Selena stops and looks at the camera.

Selena: “Just like at this event years ago, I stood with my newly enshrined Hall of Fame sister to win the World Tag Titles and give her HER moment. Well, tonight, I’m getting MY moment. On the biggest event in wrestling, I will beat you, and right this going forward. I will stand as World Champion. And I will end this farce that you are OWED the world title. No, Kandis. You will fight, and I’m sure fight hard, but there is no short-cut you can take to win tonight. You will just fall at my feet…and you will DESERVE that.”

Selena pauses again and looks at the camera.

Selena: “So everyone at home…buy the event, and get ready, because Selena Frost will still be World Champion at the end of tonight…BELIEVE IT!”

Selena looks in the camera as the scene fades to black…
