“Supreme Championship Wrestling...”
A shot of Kelcey Wallace nailing Bree Lancaster with the Perfect Ending,
followed by a shot of Steve Griffin hitting the Decimator off the top rope on
CHBK at the first Rise to Greatness, before turning a shot of Jake Starr
pumping up the crowd on his way to the ring, before turning into a shot of
Ravyn Taylor sitting in the corner, waiting for the start of a match. We then
see a shot of Katie Steward holding the Women’s Championship before cutting to
a shot of Selena Frost hitting Vixen Cain with the Defying Gravity at Supreme
Saturday: Just Desserts.
“The leading force in sports and entertainment today....”
MAIN SHOW:
We open
up with a shot of the inside of a casino as we see individuals throwing dice,
playing blackjack, and drinking. We then cut to a shot of a security guard
watching the cameras in the security office. The scene cuts back to show shots
of people pulling levers on slot machines, before showing a few people looking
at one another as the flop on the poker table comes out. We cut back to the
security room to see the guard talking to someone as each of the screens start
to static before then freezing.
We cut
to shot individuals, dressed in black, running down one of the hallways, all
carrying bags. We then cut to the inside of the casino again to show patrons
enjoying themselves before showing even someone looking suspiciously similar to
Derek Adonis introducing another act before showing a shot of a burlesque show
showing individuals suspiciously like the Glimmer Sisters, but not them,
dancing.
We cut
back to show the individuals in black all starting to get ready before we see a
shot of a man step into the casino wearing a suit, followed a woman in a
flowing dress, and then showing additional individuals wearing suits or
dresses. We cut to then cut to the slot machines to see individuals who, from
behind, are wearing merchandise of Shaun Cruze, Syren, Kimberly Williams,
Deanna Frost, Asher Hayes, David Striker and others, before cutting to show a
shot of Polly Playtime winning her hand at blackjack. We then see Jenni
Anderson and Gavin Taylor celebrating as we see them win at the roulette wheel.
This is followed by a shot of Dawn Lohan leaning on the table, smiling, and
distracting a woman with red hair, before showing Chris Lawler winning the hand
at the poker table.
We then
cut to show a shot of the security room as we see Dean Black walking into the
room, before cutting to show the man looking like Derek Adonis being forced off
by Mr. Black as Religious Wright steps forward. We then see a shot of Amelia
Nevado stepping forward and forcing the Glimmer lookalikes off the stage. We
then cut to show Gavin, Polly, and Chris Lawler winning again, before we see
the European Fiery Nation walking through the floor of the casino and keeping
their eyes out. We then see Frank Delatosso walking through the main entrance
of the casino, taking a few steps forward, and then taking off his glasses and
smiling.
Delatosso:
“The House always wins…”
The
camera then pans out from the entrance of the casino and outside before panning
up to then spin around as we see the SCW Taking Hold of the Flame logo on the
side of the casino.
“Gone
Gone Gone” by Autumn Kings plays as the logo remains on the screen for a few
moments.
“Supreme
Championship Wrestling presents…Taking Hold of the Flame 2026!”
The
logo remains on the screen for several moments before we cut to the inside of
the Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, Nevada. The crowd roars as the cameras
start to pan across the arena before moving to the entrance set where pyro
shoots out from the stage and high into the air. Fire shoots out from in front
of the stage before we see more pyro shooting around the flame mocked up in the
entrance way and around the big screens. After several moments, the display
stops as the cameras return to panning around the stadium. The fans cheer.
Sharper:
“As we come to Sin City, could sin win tonight and throw everything into
disarray on a night where forty others compete to win the Flame and go to Rise
to Greatness to challenge for the SCW World Championship?!”
The
cameras continue to pan across the crowd before the bell sounds.
Phillips:
“The opening contest tonight at Taking Hold of the Flame is an underground
rules match scheduled for onefall with a thirty minute time limit and is for
the SCW Underground Championship!”
The SCW
Underground Championship logo comes across the screen.
Simon
Lyman vs. Asher Hayes
SCW
Underground Championship
The
crowd buzzes before “Hero” by Skillet plays. The crowd roars. A few moments
pass before we see Simon Lyman walk out from the back, wearing jeans and a
“Still Simply Sensational” t-shirt. He looks around as he pauses for a few
seconds, taking in the moment. He then looks up and looks around the arena. The
crowd cheers as Simon then heads to the ring.
Phillips:
“Introducing first, the challenger, from Columbus, Ohio, he is Simply
Sensational... Simon Lyman!”
Simon
walks down the entrance way. Simon walks over to the ring and over to the steel
steps. He grabs the ringpost and climbs up the steps and onto the apron. He
then steps into the ring. As he enters the ring, we cut to ringside where Adam
Sharper and Jonathan Knots sit.
Sharper:
“Welcome to ringside. Adam Sharper here with Jonathan Knots and we’re starting
off with the Underground Championship on the line. Simon Lyman looking to do
what some may think is impossible.”
Knots:
“It may be. His body is breaking down. He’s trying to not only win the title,
but he says he’s going to win the Taking Hold of the Flame?!”
Sharper:
“That is indeed his plan. He has to get through Asher Hayes first. Two veterans
going at it in what could be a violent affair.”
The
opening riff to "Song for the Dead" by Queens of the Stone Age kicks
in. At the 37 second mark, the name "Asher Hayes" blares through the
PA system, and Asher appears on the stage, wearing a long leather jacket, his
face full of focus. The SCW Underground Title belt is around his waist. He bows
down for a few moments before standing up straight, throwing both fists in the
air, before making his way towards the ring.
Phillips: “His opponent, hailing from Chicago, Illinois, he is the SCW
Underground Champion... Asher Hayes!”
“It's late enough to go driving
And see what's mine
Life's the study of dying
How to do it right"
He makes his way down the ramp as the reaction of the crowd rains down upon
him. He walks up the ring steps and climbs to the top turnbuckle, lifting both
fists into the air, slinging the jacket off his shoulders, simply looking at
the crowd before dropping down and running to the opposite side.
“You're a holy roller
If you bettin' to lose
If you're hanging around
I'm holding the noose"
He stands, once again, on the top rope. His expression remains focused as he
looks toward the ceiling, before dropping down, removing his jacket and handing
the title belt to referee Steve Holinsworth, who proceeds to hold it high.
"Ah, ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah, ah
Ah, ah, ah, ah
Come a little bit closer
And get untied
In a hearse rolling over
Just a track in the line
Fuck it..."
Asher then leans into the corner, waiting for the match to begin.
Sharper:
“Asher Hayes meanwhile is looking to keep proving himself here. That said, he
may have an edge. Simon Lyman had been battling food poisoning earlier this
weekend.”
Knots:
“Simon Lyman should stay away from the buffet.”
Sharper:
“These two could end up there. Falls count anywhere and I don’t care what Simon
suffered. He’s not going to go down easy. Same for Asher Hayes. Two grizzled
veterans and both capable of shocking.”
Hollinsworth
hands off the title and backs up. He checks on Simon. Simon nods as Asher just
nods pre-emptively. Hollinsworth calls for the bell. The bell sounds. Asher
Hayes steps out and Lyman then runs at him and nails him with a hard right. He
nails him again and then again. Hayes staggers back to the corner. Lyman nails
him with a hard right before grabbing him by the head and locking in a loose
headlock. He then nails Asher with a series of hard right hands to the face.
The crowd roars as Lyman hammers away before Asher manages to push him away.
Lyman staggers forward and looks around. He then turns and runs over to Asher
who suddenly uppercuts him. Lyman staggers back and Hayes runs at him and
clotheslines him down.
Sharper:
“Hard clothesline and this match kicking off, high octane.”
Knots:
“Lyman went right for Hayes. Hayes had an answer though.”
Lyman
gets up and Hayes grabs him and runs him into the nearby corner. Lyman turns
and Hayes kicks him in the ribs. He then kicks him over and over and over
again. Hollinsworth tries to get him to stop, but Hayes ignores him and stomps
Lyman over and over before he drops to a seated position. He then drags him out
and goes for the pin.
1!
2!
Lyman
kicks out. Both get up and Lyman winces and moves to the ropes and Hayes nails
him with a shot to the stomach. Lyman staggers over to the corner. Hayes nails
him again.
Knots:
“Looking to get Lyman to blow more than just this match.”
Sharper:
“Hayes knew Lyman had his food poisoning and it’s clear. Taking Hold of the
Flame looming large. You want this done. You want to get backstage and
refocus.”
Knots:
“And both are in it, right?”
Sharper:
“Right.”
Hayes
goes for a third, and Lyman blocks it. He then grabs Hayes’ arm and pulls it
over to the ropes and nails him with a shot to the kidneys. Hayes winces and
turns and Lyman nails him with a hard right. Hayes hits the mat. He gets back
up and Lyman kicks him in the ribs. He then whips him across the ring. Hayes
bounces off and Lyman hits a hip toss. Hayes hits the mat and gets up and Lyman
hits a dropkick. Hayes hits the mat and rolls over and then starts to get up.
Lyman then grabs him and goes to clothesline him, but Hayes spins through and
pulls Lyman down with a school boy.
1!
2!
Lyman
kicks out and Hayes falls to the ropes. He gets up and Lyman gets up and
tackles him through the ropes to the apron and both dump down onto the floor.
Sharper:
“And Hayes again with the attempt for a quick finish. Maybe making sure Lyman
is ready for this.”
Knots:
“If he’s not, or he’s not okay, why waste the energy?”
Sharper:
“But Lyman coming back. Hard tackle. Both dumping out to the floor in front of
us.”
Lyman
stirs as Hayes starts to get up and Lyman runs at Hayes, but Hayes sidesteps
and sends Lyman up and over the Spanish announce table and over to the other
end. The crowd ohs. Hayes turns and looks under the ring. Hayes pulls out a
steel chair and turns and goes over to Lyman, but Lyman climbs up over the
Spanish announce table and dives off with a flying clothesline, taking down the
Underground Champion. The crowd roars. Lyman looks around and crawls over to
the chair Asher had. He lifts it up as Hayes starts to get up and turns and
drives the end of it into the ribs of Asher. Asher turns to the Spanish
announce table and Lyman slams the chair into the back of Hayes’ back. Hayes
falls over. Lyman throws the chair into the ring. He then reaches under the
ring and looks around, grabbing a second chair and throwing it into the ring.
He then grabs Hayes and rolls him in. Lyman slides in after. Lyman gets up as
Hayes pulls himself up and Lyman hooks him up and hits a snap suplex.
Sharper:
“Lyman moving some furniture around. Two chairs in the ring.”
Knots:
“After dropping Hayes down. He’s got something in mind.”
Lyman
turns and grabs one of the chairs and opens it up. He then grabs Hayes as Hayes
stirs and nails him with a hard right. He whips him across the ring. Hayes
bounces off and Lyman hits a drop toe hold into the seat of the chair. The
crowd ohs. Hayes rolls over in pain. Lyman then gets up and moves to the second
chair. He unfolds it and places it next to the other chair, seat to seat. Lyman
turns and walks over to Hayes and grabs him and nails him with a hard right. He
then nails him again before then going to whip him forward, but Hayes ducks
under and pulls Lyman in and then hip tosses him into seats of the two chairs.
The crowd ohs as Lyman goes through them and to the mat. He winces in pain.
Hayes then goes for the pin.
1!
2!
Lyman
kicks out. Hayes rolls off and looks around and rolls to the floor. He then
looks under the ring and looks around before grabbing a cleaning bucket and mop
before looking inside and pushing it into the ring. We then see a screwdriver
and cheese grater fall out of it. Lyman stirs as Hayes slides in.
Sharper:
“Lyman setting up his own doom there, but he kicks out.”
Knots:
“He may wish he just stayed down.”
Lyman
gets up and Hayes takes the bucket, dumping everything out and just whips it at
Lyman’s head. It bounces off as Lyman hits the mat. The crowd ohs. Lyman turns
and starts to get up and Hayes grabs the mop and walks over and places it
around the throat of Lyman. He then hits a mop-assisted Russian leg sweep.
Lyman rolls over, wincing in pain as Hayes then rolls to his side and looks
around. He then goes for the pin.
1!
2!
Lyman
rolls his shoulder up. Hayes rolls off and looks around before grabbing the
mop. Hayes gets up and Lyman turns and kneels only for Hayes to crack the mop
over his head. The mop breaks as the crowd ohs.
Sharper:
“Oh!”
Knots:
“That’s mopping up the competition!”
Sharper:
“And Lyman just dropping to his hands and knees.”
Hayes
then steps up and grabs Lyman and takes the end of the mop still in his hands
and starts to grind the broken end into the forehead of Lyman. Lyman yells in
pain as Hayes grinds it in and then pushes him away. Hayes throws the mop
handle down as Lyman rolls over, blood starting to come from his forehead.
Lyman grabs at the ropes as Hayes then grabs the cheese grater. He then walks
over to Lyman and goes to grind it into Lyman’s face. Lyman blocks it though
and fights him off before kneeing Hayes in the ribs. Hayes staggers back and
Lyman drops the grater. He staggers as Hayes runs at him and Lyman hoists him
up and hits a spinebuster into the back of one of the open chairs. Hayes
grimaces in pain and rolls over, arching his back in pain as the crowd ohs.
Sharper:
“Oh! Oh!”
Knots:
“Didn’t know Lyman was moving onto his new job as a chiropractor?!”
Sharper:
“And Hayes has a history of back issues. But in the fight for gold…”
Knots:
“Yeah, this barbaric crap!”
Hayes
grabs at the ropes as Lyman looks around and then grabs the grater. He walks
over to Hayes and then places it against his forehead and starts to grind it
into Hayes’s forehead. Hayes yells in pain as Lyman keeps grinding it in for a
few seconds more. He then looks at Hayes and takes the grater and runs it along
the forehead. Hayes drops down, convulsing from the pain, holding his head
which is now bleeding too.
Sharper:
“Oh! Shredding his forehead like cabbage!”
Knots:
“Two people showing they should never be fighting for the World Title! This
isn’t wrestling!”
Hayes
starts to get up and Lyman places the grater on his head again and grinds it in
again and then runs it along. Hayes falls to the may, rolling over in pain.
Lyman then throws the grater down and looks around before going for the pin.
1!
2!
Hayes
kicks out. Lyman rolls away and looks around and grabs one of the chairs. He
folds it back up and walks over to the corner and starts to push it between the
top and middle turnbuckle. Lyman turns around and heads over to Hayes who
suddenly grabs the screwdriver and steps forward and nails Lyman in the
forehead with it. The crowd ohs as Lyman hits the mat. Hayes then dives to his
knees and starts to grind the screwdriver into the forehead of Lyman, opening
him up more as blood comes down his face and down to his chest. The crowd looks
on.
Sharper:
“Hayes using that screwdriver to pry open the wound on the forehead of Simon
Lyman!”
Knots:
“Maybe this will wake him up. He’s got borrowed time and he’s fighting in this?
For this?!”
Hayes
pulls away as Lyman just drops to the mat. Lyman rolls over as Hayes then grabs
him and pulls him up. He then hoists him up and wrenches his arm into a
hammerlock before hitting a hammerlock DDT into the still-open chair. Lyman
rolls to his back, blood covering the chair. Hayes goes for the pin.
1!
2!
Lyman
gets his shoulder up. Hayes looks around and then turns and grabs the cheese
grater. Lyman rolls over to his hands and knees. Hayes then starts to grind the
grater into his forehead. Lyman yells out as the crowd looks on. Hayes keeps
grinding the grater into Lyman’s forehead as Lyman crawls forward to the ropes.
Hayes keeps grinding him and then lifts up the grater and slams it down onto
the forehead of Lyman. Lyman falls to a knee. Hayes then looks around as
Hollinsworth tries to plead with him to stop. Hayes then goes to grind the
grater into Lyman’s head again. He starts and Lyman then hits a mule kick. The
crowd ohs.
Sharper:
“Hayes trying to maim Lyman, but Lyman…oh! He went between the legs!”
Knots:
“Why not!”
Hayes
grimaces and backs up. Lyman turns around, his face bloodied and he takes Hayes
and bends him over. He then glances behind him before hoisting Hayes up and
then cradling Hayes’s head. He then falls back and hits the powerbomb suplex
into the chair Lyman had set up. Hayes ends up on his feet from the impact and
just falls back to the mat. Lyman crawls over and hooks the leg.
1!
2!
Hayes
shoots his shoulder up in time.
Sharper:
“And only two! Lyman powered Hayes up and found the fountain of youth for a
moment. Driving him into the chair, but only two!”
Knots:
“Hayes was out on his feet too. And Hayes still found a way to kick out.”
Lyman
looks around and rolls to the floor. He then looks under the ring. The crowd
roars as he then pulls out a table. Lyman lifts it up, unfolds the legs and
sets it up next to the ring at an angle. He then turns and looks under the ring
and pulls out a second table and unfolds the legs. He places it next to the
first table. He then slides into the ring and Hayes starts to get up. Lyman
then boots him in the face. Hayes falls over. He rolls over and stirs as Lyman
drags him over to the ropes. He then pushes him through the ropes and down to
the floor. Lyman rolls out after him. Hayes starts to get up and swings but
Lyman drops down with a drop toe hold, sending Hayes into the ring apron. Hayes
staggers back and Lyman gets up and pushes him onto the tables. The crowd
roars. Lyman then rolls into the ring.
Sharper:
“Lyman…what are you thinking…”
Knots:
“He’s not!”
Sharper:
“Hayes in a bad way. Lyman has his hopes to go to the high risk district!”
Lyman
moves to the corner and climbs up to the top rope. The crowd roars as Lyman
gets up to the top. He looks at Hayes and then steps up, but Hayes rolls off
and jumps onto the apron and nails Lyman in the ribs with a shot. He punches
him in the stomach before then nailing him with a European uppercut. Lyman sits
back down on the top turnbuckle before Hayes climbs up to the middle rope. The
crowd roars again as Hayes then grabs Lyman and looks back before stepping up
and then pulling him off with a top rope superplex all the way to the floor
through the two tables. The crowd erupts.
Sharper:
“Hayes superplex! Onto Lyman! From the top! To the floor! Through the tables!”
Knots:
“Jesus Christ!”
The
crowd cheers as we see Hayes and Lyman both down in the table shrapnel.
Hollinsworth drops down and checks on Lyman and then checks on Hayes. The crowd
continues to cheer as a “Holy Shit!” chant breaks out.
REPLAYING:
The
Taking Hold of the Flame logo comes up on the screen as we see Hayes grabbing
Lyman and then hitting a superplex off the top rope through the two tables on
the floor. The THOTF logo comes up on the screen as we see the superplex from
another angle.
Sharper:
“Just amazing. From the top! Hayes took the opportunity. His bad back. Lyman’s
physical challenges and they’re trying to become Underground Champion!”
The
Taking Hold of the Flame logo comes back up on the screen.
We
return to a live shot.
Knots:
“And Hayes crawling out. Lyman got the worst of that.”
Sharper:
“The added torque. The added impact from the suplex.”
Hayes
crawls over to the steel steps as Lyman looks around and we see Lyman starting
to slowly roll over. He crawls out of the table. Both are bloodied as Lyman
looks up. Hayes uses the steel steps to pull himself up. Lyman then pulls
himself up and staggers forward. He then stops and turns around and Hayes runs
at him and jumps up and hits the Dust to Dust in the entrance way. Lyman drops
from the impact. Hayes turns and crawls over to him and hooks the leg.
1!
2!
3!
The
crowd roars as the bell sounds.
Phillips:
“Here is your winner, via pinfall, and STILL SCW Underground Champion…Asher
Hayes!”
Hollinsworth
walks around the ring as Phillips hands him the Underground Championship.
Hollinsworth turns back to the entrance way and then walks over to Hayes. Hayes
slowly gets up and looks around as Hollinsworth raises his arm and hands him
the Underground Championship.
Sharper:
“It wasn’t pretty. Both men bloodied. Both men bruised and battered, but Asher
Hayes retains here in Las Vegas!”
Knots:
“Hope you’re happy. You just put massive targets on both of you for the Flame!”
Sharper:
“They wanted this match. They got this match. They got this fight. Hayes
continues his reign and Lyman…you can’t be disappointed with that effort, minus
the end result. What a match.”
Hayes
walks over to Lyman and kneels down on one knee next to him. He says something
to Lyman before getting up. He then steps forward and raises the title over his
head. The crowd cheers as Hayes looks around, his music playing throughout the
arena. He then starts to walk to the back. Hollinsworth checks on Lyman as the
scene cuts away.
Backstage,
we see the tumbler filled with balls with the order of entry inside. We see
Delatosso rotating the tumbler and smiling as Gavin Taylor stands with him,
joined by Dean Black.
Delatosso:
“Time to allow for people to step up.”
Gavin:
“Can’t wait. Better get a good number. What’s better than one title shot? Two
title shots.”
Delatosso:
“Well we’ll get that settled in due time. Dean…have you heard?”
Black:
“Nothing yet, but…”
We then
hear a knock at the door. Dean turns and heads over to the door and opens it
and we see Lucas Knight walking into the room.
Delatosso:
“Mr. Knight…good to see you. The question is whether this will be the last time
or-“
Knight:
“We’ll do our jobs. Okay?”
Black:
“You speaking for yourself or…”
Knight:
“Dillusion and Tanaka are in.”
Delatosso:
“Good. Then you can make sure that tonight goes off without a hitch.”
Gavin:
“Welcome to the good team! Not the stupid team. The fraud team. The DUMB team.”
Knight
nods.
Delatosso:
“Dean…make sure that we control who draws, okay?”
Knight
looks at Black and Delatosso. Delatosso keeps tumbling the tubler.
Knight:
“Have you made sure this is ready to go? The latch tends to get stuck.”
Delatosso:
“I checked it myself.”
Delatosso
stops as Knight then goes to it and goes to open the latch, but it sticks.
Knight:
“This was something we noticed last year. Remember Dean.”
Black:
“We should just buy a new one. We’ve had this since SCW opened.”
Knight:
“Let me try…”
Knight
then fiddles with the latch before pulling on it, causing the door to open, but
the tumbler to fall off the table.
Knight:
“Damn it!”
Delatosso:
“Lucas! What are you doing?”
Knight:
“Seized…”
Knight
grabs some of the balls as Gavin grabs one and looks at it, shrugging. Dean
starts to do the same. We then notice Knight places three balls into his pocket
before then starting to put the others into the tumbler. Black puts the others
in. Delatosso then tells them to back off.
Delatosso:
“You’ve done enough. Dean…give the marching orders. Okay?”
Black:
“Yeah.”
Delatosso
then opens the latch and closes it, repeating the process. Gavin smiles before
holding up his ball.
Delatosso:
“I guess you drew first.”
Black
and Knight leave the office as the scene cuts away.
In
another part of the backstage area, we see Amelia Nevado walking down the
hallway, the SCW World Championship resting over her shoulder. The sight of her
immediately draws a mixed reaction from out in the arena, leaning more towards
boos. After a moment, she stops in front of a door, which we see is marked with
the nameplate of The Light In The Darkness. The idea that Amelia and her wife
are sharing a locker room tonight injects a few more cheers into the mixed
reaction as Amelia just looks at the door, almost as if she’s having second
thoughts. She finally sighs and opens the door, the camera following her inside
as she looks around, and we find no sign of La Pequeña Luz anywhere. This seems
to put Amelia at ease as she sets the title belt on the bench and grabs her bag
before unzipping it, and whatever she finds inside immediately puts a sour look
on her face.
Nevado: “You have got to be kidding me.”
Amelia digs around in her bag for a moment, trying to find something, but there
seems to be no sign of whatever it is. We see her start to pull out something
purple in color with a note attached to it, but she rips the note off and
shoves the item back into her bag before reading through whatever’s on it, her
look growing more irritated.
Luz: “Everything alright?”
Amelia turns her gaze to see Luz stepping into the locker room now, a small
slip of paper in her hand and a concerned look on her face.
Nevado: “Where were you?”
Luz flinches a bit at the harsh tone Amelia uses, and we see Amelia briefly
look guilty, but Luz seems to recover fairly quickly as she holds up the slip.
Luz: “I had to go draw my number for the battle royal. You said you had to meet
with Delatosso and would be right back, so I didn’t think it would be a
problem.”
Nevado: “Well, apparently it became a problem.”
Amelia shoves the note into Luz’s chest, and she takes it and reads it aloud.
Luz: “‘Couldn’t resist a sneak peak and felt you could do better. Feel free to
keep these, our treat. Love… the Glimmers.’ Did they seriously…?”
The mention of the Glimmers and what they might’ve done draws some cheers from
the fans in the arena. Amelia grabs her bag and holds it up so Luz can see
what’s inside while shielding it from our view, and Luz looks disturbed at the
sight. She quickly tosses the note aside and rushes to her own bag, opening it
up and digging through before she looks just as irritated as Amelia does,
tossing an identical note out of her bag as it lands on the floor next to the
one left for Amelia.
Luz: “Cuando suene esa campana, voy a…”
Nevado: “You’re entering the battle royal?”
Luz’s rant in her native tongue is cut off by Amelia’s question, her tone
sounding more confused than anything else. Luz rises to a stand as she and her
wife lock eyes, the tension in the room thicker than anyone would’ve ever
expected from these two.
Luz: “Why wouldn’t I?”
Nevado: “Are you seriously trying to take this from me? After how hard I worked
to get here? It’s already bad enough you could dethrone me because of the
Glimmers’ stupid rules-”
Luz: “I’m not trying to take anything from you.”
The fans can be heard giving another mixed reaction as Amelia just stares at
Luz, a little surprised by how dead serious her tone is.
Nevado: “But… you could win it in this stupid match. You’re in the battle royal
otherwise.”
Luz: “Sí, lo soy. And I’m not going to lie to my partner and say that I don’t
plan on winning the battle royal, because I want to meet you in the main event
of Rise to Greatness.”
The sound of a potential battle between The Light In The Darkness as the Rise
to Greatness main event draws a ton of interested cheers from the fans out in
the arena.
Nevado: “Haven’t you earned enough to-”
Luz: “Amelia, we both know we’re going to keep aspiring for greater and greater
heights. It’s how we’re both wired, because we both want SCW and the entire
world to remember what WE’VE accomplished when we finally hang up our boots,
not anything to do with who opened these doors for us.”
Amelia looks away from Luz, a slight tremble visible as she clenches her fist.
Her gaze snaps back to Luz, though, when her wife places a comforting hand on
her shoulder.
Luz: “Let me clarify: I’m not in the battle royal to earn a World Title shot.
I’m in it because if there’s one thing Delatosso and I actually agree on, it’s
that you deserve to be here, to be World Champion. You earned this… don’t let
anybody tell you otherwise. And if there’s one other thing you deserve, it’s to
have the best possible opponent to defend your title against at Rise to
Greatness. You know as well as I do that there’s only one person around here
who’s ever truly brought out the absolute best in you.”
Nevado: “You…”
Luz: “Exactly. I want to face you in the main event of Rise to Greatness, our
biggest match on the biggest stage we’ll ever have. Everyone else may just want
that title, but above all else, I want to truly showcase what we both know we
can do, what SCW hasn’t even seen of us yet. And you deserve a fair chance to
prove, with a concrete result, who’s currently better between us. Forget the
Glimmers and their dumb games… I swear to you Ames that YOU are leaving here
tonight as the World Champion, and I’m going to bust my butt to both make sure
of that, and to make sure you have the best possible opponent to meet you under
the brightest spotlight possible.”
Amelia looks stunned, as if Luz’s words are weighing a lot heavier on her mind
than anyone would have expected. Luz just gives her a reassuring smile before
pulling away and grabbing her bag, her smile fading as she remembers what’s
sitting inside.
Luz: “We should… probably start getting ready so we can get this stupid
Lingerie Showdown over with. After that… maybe you can wish me luck for the
battle royal?”
Luz flashes Amelia one last hopeful smile before she looks at the cameraman and
nods her head towards the door, signaling the two of them need their privacy.
She leaves the shot as we focus on Amelia for a moment, the gears working
overtime in her brain as she watches Luz before turning her gaze towards the
World Title belt resting beside her bag.
Nevado: “Good luck…”
Amelia takes a deep breath, trying to pull herself back together after that
conversation as we cut away to give her and Luz privacy, but the cheers of the
fans paint a hopeful picture of what they just saw.

first chords of "Immortal" by Ozzy Osbourne begins to play over the
PA system...
Phillips: “The following contest is scheduled for onefall with a twenty minute
time limit. First, from London, England, she is The British Bombshell, Glory
Braddock!”
Glory Braddock steps out onto the stage, wearing her ring gear consisting of
purple spandex pants, boots, and a purple top. She really does look like a
million bucks and grins from ear to ear, gazing out at the crowd for a moment
before making her way down the entrance ramp.
I come alive at the second of midnight
So I can fly when the world is asleep
You scream and howl as I'm taking the first bite
Blood on my tongue tastes of eternity
People will come and go
Some stories never told
They bury me down below
But I'll never die
'Cause I'm immortal
Yes, immortal
The British Bombshell steps up the steel steps and then onto the ring apron.
She poses momentarily on the apron, allowing people to take snapshots before
stepping through the ropes and into the ring. Once in the ring Glory
heads to the center of the ring and poses once more. Then the music dies down
slowly...
Sharper:
“Glory Braddock, again, betting on herself. She’s aiming for Apocalypse. But
tonight, she’s offered an open challenge to the roster.”
Knots:
“Going to have to be prepared for anything.”
Sharper:
“Anyone could challenge her and she’s going to prove herself. She’s a former
World Champion. She’s a Supreme Champion. A win against her gets people noticed
and she’s hoping whoever comes out will keep her sharp.”
Phillips:
“And her opponent…”
The
crowd buzzes as the cameras cut to the entrance way. A few moments pass. “Until
the Sun Explodes” by Sublime then starts to play as the crowd looks on. We then
see a muscular man walk from the back, wearing a sparkling open robe and
facepaint on his face. He steps out in his bleached-blonde crew cut and points
to the crowd. He then steps up and flexes in the middle of the entrance way as
sparks shoot out from behind him on the stage. He then points to the crowd,
smiling, as he heads to the ring.
Phillips:
“From Venice, California, he is Flash!”
Flash
walks down to the ring, high-fiving fans, as Glory looks at him and then walks
over to Jennifer Cassidy, the official. They share some words before Flash hops
onto the apron and then climbs up to the middle turnbuckle. He looks out and
throws his arms in the air. He then hops over the top rope, landing on his
feet. He then takes off his robe and places it onto the apron. He then starts
to stretch out, using the ropes, as the music fades out.
Sharper:
“And looks like SCW has a new signing – the arrival of the Man Named Flash.
He’s been making waves in the So-Cal scene. Not that far as we’re here in
Vegas.”
Knots:
“Talk about a big opportunity. The guy looks young, he looks in good shape. But
it matters when the bell rings.”
Sharper:
“And a bit of a throwback here.”
Knots:
“Havoc Warrior Exodus vibes.”
Sharper:
“Very different though. Much more of a controlled offense from what I’ve seen
in tapes.”
Glory
looks at Flash as the bell sounds. Flash steps up and extends his hand. Glory
looks at it and slaps at it before the two circle the ring. They then lock up
in the middle and the crowd looks on before Flash throws Glory back. Flash
flexes as the crowd looks on, some reacting to the young man. Glory slowly gets
up and nods before walking around the ring. Flash watches Glory and then the
two lock up in the middle of the ring again. Flash, again, shows his power
advantage, getting Glory back into the corner. Cassidy comes over calling for
the break.

Flash
makes the clean break and backs up. Glory walk out along the ropes and the two
watch one another before Flash steps up, but Glory drops down and goes for the
leg. She hits a single leg takedown and then grabs the leg.
Sharper:
“Flash clearly the stronger of the two. Glory going to the legs.”
Knots:
“I think she wanted to see what he would or could do.”
Glory
holds onto the leg and Flash rolls to his stomach. Glory then moves forward
into a side headlock. She pulls back as Flash starts to slowly get his feet
under him. Glory gets up to her feet, still holding on. Flash pulls Glory into
the ropes and fires her off. She bounces off and Flash goes to grab her, but
Glory slides under his arms. Flash steps forward and turns around only for
Glory to hit a dropkick. Flash hits the mat. He gets back up and Glory hits
another dropkick. Flash falls back into the corner. Glory then gets up and runs
at him and jumps up onto his knees. She falls back and hits a monkey flip.
Flash rolls over. Glory runs over and grabs the arm and locks in an arm bar.
Sharper:
“And this is what Glory does. She’s found an opportunity. Now to the arm. Now
making the young man, Flash, have to respond.”
Knots:
“And clearly Glory has the experience advantage. But this is a very different
style match than that with Kemal Yilmaz.”
Glory
holds on as Flash starts to get up. Flash then pushes her into the ropes. He
then pulls her out and fires her off. Glory stops at the ropes. Flash runs at
her and Glory pulls the top rope down. Flash goes up and over and lands on his
feet on the floor. He then looks around as Glory runs across the ring, bounces
off and dives through the ropes with a suicide dive. The crowd roars. Glory
rolls over as Flash hits the barricade and drops down to a seated position. (1)
He winces and rolls over. Glory grabs him and pulls him up. (2) She rolls him
into the ring. Flash rolls over and Glory climbs up onto the apron. Flash gets
up as Glory springboards to the top rope and hits a flying clothesline. She
goes for the pin.

Flash
kicks out. Glory grabs him and slowly pulls him up.
Sharper:
“And right now, all Braddock.”
Knots:
“Experience being the difference. That and no hesitation.”
Sharper:
“Flash is young. Understand the man is only twenty-five. Nerves could be
playing a role her too.”
Glory
holds on and forearms Flash in the jaw. She forearms him again and hits a chop.
The crowd woos. She then grabs the arm and wrenches it before hitting a
fireman’s carry takedown. She then moves into a reverse chinlock. Flash however
starts to turn to his knees. He starts to get up as Glory holds on and Flash
elbows her in the ribs once and then again before then hoisting her up and
hitting a back suplex. Glory rolls over and gets up and Flash gets up and runs
into the ropes. He hits a running clothesline before stopping and turning to
the next set of ropes. Glory gets back up and Flash hits another running
clothesline. Glory hits the mat and slowly gets up and Flash hits a jumping
dropkick to the jaw. Glory hits the mat. Flash goes for the pin.

Glory
kicks out. Flash rolls over and Glory gets up and Flash hits an inside cradle!

Glory
kicks out. Both get up and Flash scoops her up, but Glory lands behind him and
then managing to hit a release German suplex. Flash rolls over and to his back.
Sharper:
“Flash stunning Glory with that inside cradle, but Braddock kicking out.”
Knots:
“Some tricks up his sleeve. So far, when he’s on offense, he looks good, but
Braddock didn’t panic!”
Flash
starts to get up and Glory runs into the ropes, bounces off and hits a basement
dropkick to Flash’s face, causing a crack in his facepaint. He rolls to his
back. Glory then goes for the pin.
1!
2!
Flash
kicks out. He turns and Glory grabs the arm and goes for the crossface. She
pulls back as Flash yells out. He shakes his head no. Glory pulls back on the
arm as Flash bridges up and starts to move to the ropes, getting closer and
closer. Glory keeps the hold on as Flash slides over again and then reaches
out, grabbing the bottom rope.

Glory
lets go and stomps him in the shoulder and then the back. Glory then walks
around the ring. Flash starts to pull himself up and Glory runs over at him and
Flash hoists her up and hits a snake eyes on the top rope. Glory staggers back
and Flash runs out and clotheslines her down again. Glory rolls over and gets
up and Flash whips her into the ropes. She bounces off and Flash presses her
over his head. The crowd roars as Flash slams her down to the mat. Glory pops
up and moves to the corner. She winces as Flash moves to the opposite side of
the ring and then runs across and hits a jumping splash into Glory, sandwiching
her in the corner. The crowd ohs. Glory falls out from the corner. Flash hooks
the leg.
1!
2!
Glory
gets her shoulder up. She rolls over as Flash then exits to the apron. He
climbs up to the top rope.
Sharper:
“Flash showing resilience here as he now gets a two and now to the top rope.”
Knots:
“Glory’s lack of knowledge of him may be playing a role here.”
Glory
starts to get up and looks around as she turns to Flash who dives off with a
flying clothesline. He connects. He turns and hooks the leg.
1!
2!
Glory
gets her shoulder up. She rolls over and Flash gets up and grabs her and pulls
her up to her feet. Flash then scoops her up onto his shoulder. He points up to
the sky before then running across the ring. Glory slides back and shoves Flash
into the corner. Flash hits the turnbuckles and staggers back. Braddock then
runs past him and jumps to the middle rope and dives back with a twisting
Prankster’s Paradise!
Sharper:
“Flash was going for his finished the Flashfall. Glory countered! And now the
Prankster’s Paradise!”
Knots:
“Guess that’s just instinct then!”
Braddock
then exits to the apron. She climbs up to the top rope as the crowd roars. She
looks down at Flash before then hitting the London Plunge. The crowd roars. She
turns and hooks the leg.
1!
2!
Flash
gets his shoulder up. He rolls over as Glory looks down at him and nods before
then starting to get up. Flash crawls to the ropes and starts to pull himself
up. Glory looks at him and then grabs his arms and pulls him back from the
ropes before twisting him around into the Glorification. The crowd ohs. Glory
rolls him over and covers him with the lateral press.
Sharper:
“Glorification! Driving Flash into the mat.”
Knots:
“Just overwhelming him here at the end.”
1!
2!
3!
The
bell sounds. Glory gets up off of Flash and steps forward. She looks at Flash
before then stepping forward, having her arm raised by Jennifer Cassidy.
Phillips:
“Here is your winner, via pinfall, Glory Braddock!”
Sharper:
“And Glory Braddock survives the challenge of Flash and shows, even on
instinct, she can handle young talent.”
Knots:
“Flash had a good showing. No win. But good try. Just not good enough. And
unfortunately, that’s what matters!”
Glory
Braddock pulls away and goes to the corner. She then smirks as she stands up on
the middle turnbuckle. She poses briefly before hopping over the top rope and
onto the apron. She drops down to the floor. Flash starts to stir in the ring
before Taking Hold of the Flame fades to black.
We open
up with a shot of the inside of Ford Field. We see a shot of Polly Playtime
walking into the stadium. She takes a few steps forward and looks around. We
see shots of CHBK, Matt Hodges, Alistaire Allocco, and Selena Frost holding the
SCW World Championship. We then cut to show Gavin Taylor walking into the
stadium from another entrance, joined by his All-Star Secret Service. Shots of
Shawn Winters standing across from Xander Valentine are shown, followed by
shots of Karnivale and Dark Fantasy standing face to face at Rise to Greatness.
The doors open as we see the European Fiery Nation walking into the football
stadium. We then see Simon Lyman and Donovan Kayl embracing, before showing
Regan Street fighting Brittany Lohan, before cutting to show Owen Cruze and
Giovanni Aries standing across from one another. We then cut to show Chris
Lawler in the seats, looking around, before showing Amelia Nevado standing at
mid-field. We see a shot of Damian Angel hitting the Martyr Syndrome on CHBK
before showing Kelcey Wallace posing, and then shots of Jason Zero, Cid Turner,
Glory Braddock, Josh Hudson, and Bree Lancaster in the ring before showing
James Exeter staring down Hurse, before showing James Evans powerbombing Ace
Marshall off the top rope into the barricade.
“Time
to take hold of their own history…”
The
Rise to Greatness XXIII logo comes up on the screen, followed by the date
“August 9, 2026.” The scene fades out.
We
return to a live shot of the inside of Allegiant Stadium.
Sharper:
“Folks, we’re almost there. Rise to Greatness just around the corner and-“
We then
start to hear the sound of motorcycles. The crowd roars as we then see Meghan
Strader burst through the curtain on her motorcycle, joined by Mackenzie
Strader, Tearra Skye, and Vanessa Strader as they ride into the building. The
crowd roars as they drive down to the ringside area.
Sharper:
“And we are being interrupted by the Cowgirls from Hell!”
Knots:
“What the hell are they doing here?”
Sharper:
“Meghan Strader looks more annoyed than anything, and she’s looking to be in
the Taking Hold of the Flame.”
The
Cowgirls stop at the end of the entrance way before Meghan gets up off of her
motorcycle. She then climbs up into the ring. She storms across the ring and
demands a microphone as the other Cowgirls enters the ring. Meghan is handed a
microphone. She takes it and starts to walk around the ring.
Meghan:
“Well isn’t that cute!”
The
crowd roars a bit.
Meghan:
“Hate me so much that you never take me off the Rise to Greatness promo. That’s
fine…I was waiting for that day, but what I don’t appreciate is coming to this
building and finding out that I don’t have a spot in the Taking Hold of the
Flame!”
The
crowd boos.
Meghan:
“Yeah, ya heard me. Too bad, we have ways to deal with it. And I’m not going to
beat around the bush here. From what you did to make sure I wasn’t the US
champion, to now taking me out of the battle royal, you better be careful about
going to war with the Cowgirls from Hell, Frank!”
The
crowd roars.
Meghan:
“We came to SCW because we were told this is where the most competitive in the
world apply their craft. That seems to be changing underneath my feet!”
Meghan
shakes her head.
Meghan:
“Well, not on our watch. So you better watch your ass because we don’t care
about a New Order. We don’t care about whatever plans you have. We care about
kicking ass and making a legacy. And Frank, you get in our way-“
Meghan
stops as we see then the European Fiery Nation starting to jog down from the
back. The crowd boos seeing Ludvig Eriksson, Dakon Theron, Oskar Theron, Kemal
Yilmaz, and Frederico Gasperoni heading to the ring.
Meghan:
“Oh this is cute…You picked the wrong option then!”
Meghan
turns and motions to the Cowgirls as they then roll down to the floor and meet
the EFN on the floor. The crowd roars as Meghan goes after Kemal and Dakon and
Oskar go after Mackenzie and Tearra. Vanessa nails Eriksson with a shot before
Meghan kicks Federico, knocking him back. Kemal and Meghan trade blows on the
floor as Mackenzie and Tearra battle with the Therons. Vanessa grabs Eriksson
and runs him into the barricade. She then turns and runs over to Federico and
grabs him.
Knots:
“Come on EFN! Do your security work! Throw them out!”
Sharper:
“Meghan Strader…the Cowgirls fighting the EFN. And a brawl has broken out in
Las Vegas!”
The
crowd continues to cheer as the two teams fight at the end of the rampway.
Oskar grabs Tearra and tries to throw her into the barricade as Dakon and
Mackenzie battle. Meghan goes to run Kemal into the ring, but Kemal blocks it
and elbows her. Meghan nails him with a hard right as we then see officials,
agents and even police officers running down from the back. We see Frank
Delatosso standing at the end of the entrance and looking down as Dean Black
then runs out to help oversee matters. The officials, guards and officers run
down. Quickly a couple grab Meghan, pulling her back as Kemal gets a cheap shot
in. Meghan kicks at him back and is turned around and forces down to the
ground. This gets Vanessa’s attention who heads over and grabs one of the officers.
Tearra and MacKenzie head over too as we then see Dean Black step up. Meghan
meanwhile starts to be handcuffed.
Sharper:
“They’re arresting Meghan Strader! Frank Delatosso has sent out security and
the police detachment we have on site after Strader!”
Knots:
“Good!”
The
Cowgirls try to intervene, but the EFN then steps up and pulls them back.
Officials then get between the two groups as Meghan is pulled up. She then
looks around, laughing from the moment. The officials walk her down the rampway
as the crowd boos. A “CFH!” chant breaks out as Meghan looks around and nods.
Vanessa is a few strides behind as the other Cowgirls are filed down the
rampway too, while they keep their eyes on the EFN. Meghan is walked down the
rampway and right by Delatosso.
Meghan:
“You’re a dead man, Frank! You’re going to regret it!”
Delatosso;
“Get her out of here and Meghan, I won’t. I won’t be seeing you again. My SCW
doesn’t need you!”
Meghan
smirks as she’s pulled through the curtain. Delatosso follows as Black follows
too. A few moments pass before we cut to the other side of the tunnel where we
see Strader walked through, still handcuffed. The cameras follow her as
Delatosso takes a few more steps forward before then stopping. He then smugly
looks on as Meghan Strader is walked over to another door, this one leading to
another area. She continues to be walked and taken over to a police car. The
crowd boos as we see Meghan Strader smirk before the door is opened and she’s
put inside.
Meghan:
“God forgives….I DON’T FRANK!”
The
crowd roars as Meghan is pushed into the car and the door closed. We then hear
the police sirens go as the camera spins around to see Vanessa Strader stepping
forward. She stops as MacKenzie and Tearra are now getting back into it with
the EFN in the background.
The
cameras cut to another part of the backstage area as we see Syren watching on a
monitor.
Syren:
“Damn…Meghan, what are you thinking?”
Syren
turns as Lucas Knight walks over to the monitor too.
Knight:
“Well, so it is the case?”
Syren:
“What?”
Knight:
“Just…it’s fine…”
Knight
then hands one of the balls from the tumbler to Syren.
Syren:
“Hand delivering.”
Knight:
“Just trying to be efficient.”
Syren:
“Well…thanks.”
Knight:
“Good luck, Syren…and please…be careful. There are some very motivated people
backstage.”
Syren:
“It’s Taking Hold of the Flame. There always are.”
Knight
nods and walks off. Syren then looks at the ball as the scene cuts away.
The
scene opens up at ringside.
Knots:
“That’s interesting…”
Sharper:
“Folks, we’re trying to reset here and in a few moments, we are going to see
one of the most unique, controversial, you name it…matches in SCW history.”
Knots:
“Going to be a travesty.”
Sharper:
“Let’s be clear about what this is. The Glimmer Sisters are trying to get into
the head of Amelia Nevado, La Pequena Luz, Frank Delatosso, and anyone who is
hoping for a mat classic. They don’t care as long as it pays off and their
track record has been in this favour so far in SCW. And allow me to walk
through what you’re going to see.”
Sharper
pauses.
Knots:
“A travesty!”
Sharper:
“Well…we will first have a lingerie showdown. We have industry experts from
here in Las Vegas who are going to judge the four women and trust me, it’s
going to be a bit voyeuristic. The Glimmers apparently want that. We hear from
Amelia and Luz earlier. But there are important ramifications. Whichever team
is judged the winners, they can compete however they wish. There are no rules.
No DQs, no countouts, no tags. And their opponents, the losers, will be held to
the standard rules of tag wrestling in SCW. It’s a massive advantage and you
know the Glimmers are hoping to use it.”
Knots:
“The Glimmers could be holding the World Tag Team and World Championships!
Unless Luz can put aside her ego, and we can get through their objectification,
and Amelia Nevado can get what she has worked far too hard for…the World Title
and Rise to Greatness and its main event.”
Sharper:
“We are going to see this and no matter what, this is going to be one of the
most talked about matches in SCW History. Maybe most infamous.”
Sharper
then looks up.
Sharper:
“Looks like we are ready here. To Jason Phillips.”
The
bell sounds.
The
Glimmer Sisters vs. The Light in the Darkness
SCW
World Championship
SCW
World Tag Team Championship
Lingerie
Showdown
Phillips:
“Fans, we are about to witness the Lingerie Showdown for the SCW World and
World Tag Team Championships!”
The
crowd roars as we see the SCW World Tag Team Championship and then World
Championship logos come across the screen.
Phillips:
“First, allow me to introduce our judges for the lingerie contest to determine
who gains the advantage in the actual match. First…representing the Belaggio
Resort and Hotel here in Las Vegas, he is Mark Richter!”
We cut
to see a man in a suit seated at a table set up at ringside. The crowd gives
some polite applause.
Phillips:
“Next, she is a leading designed in sleepwear and swimwear with her designs
featuring in major retailers all over the world, she is Marie Lapierre!”
The
crowd again applauds as the woman waves at the crowd. The crowd then roars as
we hear calls of “KABLAM!” as the camera moves to Derek Adonis.
Phillips:
“And finally, he is the owner and manager of KABLAMia and noted businessman
from Las Vegas, he is Derek Adonis!”
The
crowd cheers as Adonis gets up and smiles before yelling “KABLAM!” The crowd
echoes this as Derek Adonis sits down.
Knots:
“How the hell is he here?”
Sharper:
“You wonder how much of his was scheduled and set in place before CHBK was
assaulted. Before Delatosso attempted his hostile takeover. The decision to
have this match was approved by SCW’s Board of Directors. Ultimately, they seem
to have bought the psychological aims the Glimmers hope to implement.”
All the
lights in the arena suddenly cut out, leaving the fans gasping and roaring in
surprise. After a moment, blue lighting overtakes the arena, almost making it
look like the entire place is underwater. On the stage, we can see what looks
like water raining down right in front of the entryway, a silhouette of a woman
visible behind it as she's flipping her hair and looks to be getting “dressed”
for battle. “Tongue Twister” then hits and after a few seconds, we see Gina
Glimmer (we assume) walk through the water, motioning as though she were
parting a curtain, sashaying in a way that draws all eyes to her hips as she
grins knowing full well what she's doing. Once she's fully visible she flaps
her arms at her sides almost like she's flying, and as she does we see a second
pair of arms flapping in the opposite motion appear from behind her, almost
making her look like one of those multi-armed Hindu gods. After a few flaps she
leans to one side as we see her twin Gia Glimmer (again, we assume) suddenly
appear from behind her and lean the opposite way, perfectly mirroring one
another. Instead of their usual attire, we can see the two of them wearing
nothing but short black silk robes, hiding whatever lingerie they've picked out
for the festivities tonight. The SCW world tag title belts also rest snugly
around their sinful waists. They join hands and look as though they're about to
break into a ballroom dance, but they just laugh at the irony before Gina uses
this to flip Gia over her back, and the moment she lands on her feet in time
with the bass dropping the lighting immediately changes to a vibrant display of
pinks and yellows. At this, the two begin to dance their way down to the ring,
again a perfect mirror of one another as their sensual motions hypnotize the
audience.
Phillips:
“First, on their way to the ring, from Cirque du Sins, they are the defending
SCW World Tag Team Champions, they are Gina and Gia, the Glimmer Sisters!”
The
mirror routine breaks at a few points when they stop dancing to briefly
interact with fans, with Gina flirting with an attractive-looking woman in the
front row while Gia teases potentially giving her side of the crowd a preview
of what's underneath her robe before she winks and tells them it'll be “worth
the wait.” Once they reach ringside they dance their way over to the hard cam
side of the ring before pulling themselves onto the apron facing away from each
other, where they press their butts together and slowly rise as they stick
their tongues out and suggestively lick each finger, drawing excited cheers
from all interested parties that clash with the boos they're otherwise getting
from those that either aren't interested in them or see through the act. Once
they're both fully upright, they mirror one another again as they lean back
against the ropes, pushing out their chests for the fans' enjoyment and teasing
one more early reveal of the lingerie they've chosen before instead hooking
their arms around the top rope and backflipping into the ring in sync. Once
they're back in the ring the lighting returns to the underwater hues as they
dance around the ring one more time, mirroring one another again, before
meeting in the middle of the ring as a spotlight shines down on them. They
sensually embrace, each lifting a leg up in a way that makes it seem like
they're trying to wrap it around the other's body as they flip their hair
before motioning for the camera to get a close-up of them as they grin and wink
to the fans at home. The lights then completely cut out again for a brief
moment before coming back on as normal, the Glimmer Sisters separating and
moving to their corner as they wait for the fun to begin with a hungry look in
their eyes.
Sharper:
“The Glimmer Sisters could not be happier.”
Knots:
“The World Tag Titles and World Titles are going to be on the line here!”
Sharper:
“The Glimmers know they have one thing that they can use…they don’t have
shame.”
All of
a sudden, the lights go out, prompting a surprised pop from the fans. “In the
Name of Love” by Arion feat. Cyan Kicks begins to play, the LED screens
flickering to life to show a large wisteria tree in front of a starry night sky
with a beautiful moon, the stars seeming like they’re slowly shifting and
dancing around as petals from the tree fall and gracefully glide through the
sky. As the lyrics begin, the fans are buzzing in confusion as no spotlights
have turned on like they normally would. As the song starts to approach the
first chorus, the lights slowly turn back on, at least to a dim, as we see
Amelia Nevado and La Pequeña Luz slowly walk out onto the stage together,
clearly looking uncomfortable about what they're about to endure. The both of
them are wearing their usual robes to hide whatever lingerie they've been
forced to wear for this, with Luz still wearing her mask as per lucha libre
tradition and Amelia having the SCW World Championship around her waist, though
interestingly enough, we can also see that Amelia has insisted on still having
her wrists taped. The couple exchange glances, as if trying to draw strength
from each other, before they slowly begin walking down to the ring, the fans
giving a mixed reaction that leans more towards cheers.
Phillips:
“Their opponents, they are, first, from Tulancingo, Hidalgo, Mexico, La Pequena
Luz, and from Oxford, England, she is the SCW World Champion, Amelia
Nevado…they are the Light in the Darkness!”
As they
make it to the bottom of the ramp, Amelia turns to glance at Luz, as if trying
to get a read on her wife, but Luz just nods and leans in to say something to
Amelia that the camera is unable to catch over the music. Luz plants a kiss on
Amelia's cheek before climbing up onto the apron. Amelia just looks surprised
at this, but she looks even more surprised when instead of entering the ring,
Luz sits on the middle rope, holding it open for her. Amelia and Luz have a
brief conversation over whether or not Luz is sure, which she seems to be,
before Amelia makes her way up the steps to walk across the apron towards Luz.
She slowly steps through the ropes, not wiping her feet like usual, but pauses
halfway through as she and Luz seem to have another conversation. Some of the
Las Vegas fans begin cheering and catcalling, causing both Amelia and Luz to
blush and look mortified at their unintentional posing in the ropes even
despite their robes, and Amelia quickly finishes stepping into the ring before
Luz steps in after her. Luz motions for Amelia that the moment is hers, which
leads to Amelia removing the World Title from around her waist and holding it
high to a mixed reaction that sounds like the boos are just barely outweighing
the cheers even as Luz applauds her wife. Amelia contemplates the reaction
before turning her gaze to Luz, initiating another conversation with her that
seems to have Luz stunned. After a moment, Luz moves to stand beside Amelia,
almost hesitating for a moment before she wraps her hand around Amelia's,
making it look like the both of them are proudly holding the World Title high,
not only earning an eruption of cheers from the fans, but also making it clear
that for tonight, the World Title is THEIRS to defend, not just Amelia's.
Sharper:
“The Light in the Darkness-“
Knots:
“Aptly named tonight!”
Sharper:
“Together they hold their title. Seemingly a united front right now. But high
stakes. And they haven’t fully been on the same page. Amelia Nevado aligning
with Frank Delatosso.”
Knots:
“Making a smart decision.”
Sharper:
“Meanwhile, we wonder about earlier. We saw Amelia Nevado checking her bags.
There was something with a note. She didn’t seem too happy. So you wonder what
is in mind for these two. Back to Jason Phillips.”
Phillips:
“Fans…allow me to explain how this will happen. First, the challengers…the
Glimmer Sisters will go first, before the Light in the Darkness will next go.
The judges can use whatever criteria they wish to judge the lingerie, fit,
allure, and more of their outfits. Afterwards, I will take their assessment and
announce the winner. And the winner will be able to compete in the match that
will immediate follow unburdened by traditional tag team wrestling rules, no
disqualification, no countout. Meanwhile, the team forced to compete by
traditional tag rules, should any rule be broken or interference take place,
they will not only lose the match, but also their title.”
The
crowd looks on, noise coming from them.
Phillips:
“Fans…Glimmers…you have the floor.”
The men
in the crowd cheer as “Tongue Twister” starts to play. The Glimmer Sisters step
forward and undo their World Tag Team Championship belts. This undoes their
robes before they throw their robes off revealing matching black “strappy
style” thong teddies that only have as much material as needed to cover key
parts, while still being somewhat functional for competition. The crowd roars
as they then go to opposite sides of the ring and lean through the ropes,
giving the judges a good view of their cleavage before turning around and
leaning forward, giving a good view of their asses before they lean over at one
another and then one of the Glimmers, we’ll see Gia, handstands into Gina, who
then lifts her onto her shoulders and they spin around before Gia puts Gina
down and then they go to the corners, headstanding on the top turnbuckles
before then pushing up with their arms into a handstand before flipping down to
sit on the top turnbuckle. They both backflip down, in stereo and end up in the
middle of the ring. The crowd roars. Adonis can be seen just watching intently
as the other two judges take their time, seemingly developing thoughtful
comments in their judging. The music fades out as the crowd roars. A faint
“Glimmers!” chant begins as Gia and Gina smirk and turn around to Luz and
Amelia. They back up and Gia offers the floor to the Light in the Darkness.
Sharper:
“Well…”
Knots:
“Easy there. You’ve never seen anything like that. You still think granny
panties are sexy. But uh…”
Sharper:
“And you can tell there’s been some consideration for the match. But to what
degree. We’ve seen both willing to play to the wardrobe malfunction.”
Phillips:
“And now…Light in the Darkness.”
La
Pequena Luz looks at Amelia and the two step up, briefly holding hands. They
then look out at the crowd as “In the Name of Love” by Arion feat. Cyan Kicks
plays. Amelia and Luz look at one another before Luz undoes her robe and takes
it off, revealing a tiny purple lace push-up bras decorated in glitter that
accentuate her bust and thin purple lace thong covered in glitter. Gia and Gina
nod, seemingly in approval. Amelia just looks at Gina and Gia, before then
reluctantly taking off the robe, revealing the same outfit, the only difference
between the two being Luz’s mask. The crowd looks on some cheering as Amelia
just glares at Gia and Gina. Gia and Gina play it up and point out Amelia and
Luz’s asses as Luz looks around. Amelia turns to Phillips.
Phillips:
“Okay…”
The
music cuts as the crowd looks on, some cheering, some booing. Amelia looks
around as Phillips turns to the judges.
Phillips:
“The Light in the Darkness everyone. Now to the judges…I’ll give you and
opportunity to determine your judgment.”
Adonis
can be seen deep in thought as the other two finish their notes. They look at
it, taking their jobs seriously, as we see Gia trying to get the fans to get
into it, leading to chants of “Glimmers” continues.
Sharper:
“Luz and Amelia clearly not thrilled by this. Less confident in this setting.”
Knots:
“And looks like the Glimmers got them those. Just to add to this.”
Phillips
walks over to the judges, reaching out and taking their judgment cards. He then
moves over to the corner where Aaron Demitra, the referee also for the match,
awaits, and they go over the cards together. Phillips looks up.
Phillips:
“Fans…as a result of a vote of two to one…and winner of the advantage where
they can operate without following any rules….The Glimmer Sisters!”
The
crowd roars and some boos come through. Luz just looks down as Amelia looks up.
Just then, Gia and Gina run up behind Amelia and run her to the ropes and throw
her over the top rope. Amelia lands on the floor and rolls through to the
barricade. Luz runs over and nails Gia, we think, with an overhead chop, before
then forearming Gina and then chopping Gia, before Gina kicks Luz in the ribs.
The bell sounds as Demitra steps up.
Sharper:
“And this match immediately starting. Gia and Gina have the advantage. They
both be in the ring. They can break every rule. Luz and Amelia have to follow
the rules to a T. Demitra sees anything, it’s over.”
Knots:
“And both titles are on the line!”
Gina
kicks Luz again and Gia steps up and kicks Luz too. The two Glimmers then just
step up and both start to hammer away on Luz, pushing her against the ropes.
Demitra calls for the break, but Luz just takes shot after shot after shot
before dropping down. Amelia pulls herself up and enters the ring. Demitra runs
over and stops her. Gia just turns and smirks as Gina starts to press her chest
into the face of Luz. Luz pushes away and moves to the corner. She gets up as
Amelia is forced back into the corner. Gia turns back and stomps Luz in the
head. She turns and leans her ass into the face of Luz. Luz pushes her away and
rolls to the apron.
Sharper:
“And quickly Gia and Gina just all over La Pequena Luz. Going to go after not
the champion, but her partner, both in life and in wrestling.”
Knots:
“She better hold on. She can’t screw this up. We can’t have the Glimmers as
Champion!”
Luz
starts to get up and Gia turns and grabs at her and pulls her up by her mask.
She then pulls her into the ring. Luz rolls over. She starts to get up and Gina
runs over and kicks her in the chest. Luz ends up on her knees and Gia hits a
dropkick. They dive onto her with a double pin.
1!
2!
Luz
kicks out as Amelia enters and grabs Gia, we assume, and nails her with a
forearm and then another before Gina kicks her in the ribs and turns and runs
her to the ropes, throwing her through to the floor. Gina turns around as Gia
grabs Luz and whips her into the corner. Gia runs after and Luz gets a boot up.
The crowd roars. Gia staggers back as Gina runs across and runs at Luz. Luz
lowers her head and gets Gina up and over the top rope. Gina however lands on
the apron. Luz then hits an overhead chop on Gia before nailing Gina with one.
She turns around and Gia jumps up, wrapping her legs around her and rolling her
down to the mat before moving into a mount and hammering away on her. She grabs
at the mask, trying to pull at it. Luz pushes her away before Gia gets up and
Gina enters and hits a hilo into the ring right to the ribs of Luz.
Sharper:
“And Luz again, a target, not just for her position in this team. But that
mask. The Glimmers have gone after it a few times here.”
Knots:
“And Gia just getting her down only to open her up for Gina!”
Sharper:
“And while the Glimmers can do this, Amelia forced to watch, having to play by
the rules.”
Gia
dives onto Luz for the pin.
1!
2!
Luz
kicks out as Gina stands guard. Luz rolls over and reaches out for the ropes.
Gia stomps her in the back and then again before Gia turns and leans over and
taunts Amelia. Amelia paces a bit, getting Demitra’s attention, demanding she
grab the tag rope. Amelia glares at Demitra as Gina turns to Luz and grabs her
and nails her with a hard right, before whipping her into the ropes. Luz
bounces off and Luz turns and grabs the head of Gina before running up the
ropes and twisting around, landing her feet on the shoulders of Gia in a
headscissors and taking both Glimmers over!
Sharper:
“Luz countering. Gets both down!”
Knots:
“Get the tag!”
Luz
turns and dives for the tag, but Gina grabs at the leg of Luz. Luz rolls to her
back and pushes Gina off. Luz nips up and looks out as she then looks down and
turns to Gia. Luz grabs her, but Gia grabs her panties and pulls on them,
sending Luz into the neutral corner. Gia then runs out and Luz boots her in the
face. Gia staggers out and Luz steps up and hits a hurricanrana!
1!
Luz
however steps up and looks around. Gia turns and spanks Luz. Luz turns to her
and kicks her in the ribs, but then is nailed by a flying headscissors by Gina.
The crowd ohs. Amelia paces a bit more.
Sharper:
“Luz broke up the cover. But Gia distracting and Gina then takes her down.”
Knots:
“She can do a bit of lucha-libre too I guess. Just out duel her Luz!”
Luz
gets up in the corner. Gina then jumps up and hits a monkey flip. Luz hits the
mat. Gia then hits the ropes and handsprings into a standing moonsault. She
hooks the leg.
1!
2!
Amelia
shoves her off. She turns and nails Gina with a shot and then elbows Gia as she
gets up. Amelia then hits a European uppercut and goes to send Gina over the
top rope. Gina lands on the apron and drops down, narrowly landing on the
table. Gina then turns and sits on the table and taps on it. Amelia looks at
her as Gina shakes her finger.
Sharper:
“And Amelia ending Gina out of the ring. She nearly went through the judges
table.”
Knots:
“Would that be a disqualification?”
Sharper:
“I don’t know. I assume referee’s discretion!”
Knots:
“Aaron! Don’t screw this up. Remember who pays you!”
Amelia
then backs up and Gia nails Amelia with a superkick in the back of the head.
Amelia falls through to the apron. Gina smiles and pulls her down. Gia then
waves at Amelia before bending over a bit and kissing her goodbye. But Luz then
grabs her from behind and hits a German suplex on Gia! Gia rolls over as Gina
slides in. She gets up and nails Luz in the back with a clubbing blow and then
another. She goes to whip Luz into the corner. Luz spins through and sends her
in. She then runs over and jumps up off the chest of Gina, backflipping back.
Gina runs forward and Luz ducks. She then hits a leg sweep. Gina hits the mat.
Luz then jumps up and hits a leg press moonsault. She goes for the pin.
1!
Luz
again looks up and stops, shaking her head. She then looks over to Amelia as
Amelia starts to get up. Luz watches her before noticing herself in the
entrance tron before turning around and walking into a Gia Glimmer superkick.
The crowd ohs.
Sharper:
“And Luz hoping to get a tag, but Amelia was on the wrong end-“
Knots:
“And then saw herself in the video screen on the entrance set and immediately
had a moment of shame. Focus on the title! The World Title!”
Gia
then goes for the pin.
1!
2!
Luz
gets her shoulder up. She rolls over and Gia then goes for the straps of the
bra Luz is wearing. Luz starts to resist and this just opens Gia up to go for
Luz’s mask. She starts to pull at the strings in the back as Luz grabs at the
mask. The crowd boos a bit as Gia keeps trying to get to Luz’s mask. Gina
starts to get up and Luz then manages to get to her knees and elbows Gia in the
ribs once and then again. She then turns as Gina hits a dropkick. Luz falls
through to the apron. Amelia climbs up onto the apron as Gia then gets up and
runs over to Luz. She grabs at the mask of Luz as Gina then goes for Luz’s top,
but Luz then nails Gina with a shot and then Gia with a shot before getting
free and hitting a jumping pump kick to the head of Gia. Gia staggers as Gina
then grabs at Luz. Luz shoves her back. She then springboards to the top rope
and jumps over Gina and somersaults to Amelia. She then tags in the World
Champion. The crowd is greeted by a mixed reaction as Amelia enters and
immediately clocks Gina with a European uppercut.
Sharper:
“And Luz gets Amelia into the match! The World Champion now in the match and
legally so!”
Knots:
“Come on! Get in some double-teams. Get this offense going!”
Gia
turns to Amelia and Amelia hits a European uppercut to her. Luz then runs over
and drops down in front of Gia as Amelia runs to the opposite corner. She then
runs across and hits the Thorn Vault, Amelia hitting a jumping splash onto Gia.
Amelia turns back as Gina then jumps up and places her chest into Amelia’s
face. She smirks as Luz gets up and jumps to the middle rope and dives back
with a leg lariat, taking Gina down in a variation of the hart attack. Luz is
then forced to exit the ring as Demitra reaches his five count. Luz quickly
exits the ring before Amelia is covering Gina. Demitra dives back for the pin
count.
1!
2!
Gina
kicks out. Amelia looks up and then grabs Gina and pulls her up. She then hits
another European uppercut. She looks around, seeing Luz back on the apron.
Sharper:
“And Amelia now realizing just that quick, she’s back alone. Both Glimmers in
the ring.”
Knots:
“Just strike anything that moves. Except the ref. Don’t do that.”
Amelia
drills Gina again and Gina spins around and Amelia pulls her away from the
ropes. She then turns and hits a bridging German suplex.
1!
2!
Gia
then breaks it up by kicking Amelia between the legs hard. The crowd ohs as
Amelia grimaces from the impact and Gia smirks Amelia turns and rolls over in
pain.
Sharper:
“All legal. May not be the same plumbing, but Gia did not hold back.”
Knots:
“That’s one way to break up a pin.”
Sharper:
“And all allowed with the rules that the Glimmers can play with.”
Amelia
holds herself in pain and moves to the ropes. Gia walks over to Gina and checks
on her. Gia pulls Gina up as Luz looks on concerned. Amelia starts to get up
and Gia and Gina run over and both kick Amelia in the ribs and nail her with a
couple of hard rights. This sends Amelia to the apron right by the judges
table. Gia and Gina turn to each other and smile as Amelia starts to get up on
the apron. Gia and Gina run across the ring, bouncing off in stereo before
sliding under the bottom rope on either side of Amelia. They then reach up and
grab Amelia Nevado, both grabbing one leg and then grabbing a handful of her
ass before pulling her off with a powerbomb off the apron through the judges
table. The crowd ohs.
Sharper:
“The Glimmers pull Amelia through the judges table! A double powerbomb!”
Knots:
“After they almost went through it…come on!”
Sharper:
“And Gia and Gina adding the indignity of getting a handful as they continue
their psychological games.”
Luz
drops down and yells at them as Demitra tells her to get back. Gia then steps
up and motions to herself as Luz looks them. Gina taps on her chin, trying to
goad Luz to potentially risk disqualification. Luz starts to back away as Gia
pulls Gina back and grabs Amelia, pulling her out of the table. The crowd looks
on as Gia and Gina drag her up and roll her into the ring. Amelia rolls over as
Gia and Gina then slide in after. Amelia rolls over and Gia then exits to the
apron. Gina heads over as Gia climbs up to the top rope. Gina joins her and Gia
then moves into a handstand supported by Gina. Gia shakes her ass a bit before
then Gina throws her back as they hit the Tightrope Act on Amelia. The crowd
ohs. Gina drops down and dives onto Amelia with Gia for the pin.
Sharper:
“The Tightrope Act. My God! The impact! They’re going to pin the World
Champion!”
Knots:
“Luz! Luz!”
1!
2!
Luz
enters and breaks it up. Luz turns and nails Gia with a shot and then Gina with
a shot before flipping up to her feet. She turns and hits a straight kick to
Gina’s jaw. Gina falls back. Demitra then tries to get her out. Luz grabs Gia,
but Gia pulls on Luz’s panties and sends Luz into the middle turnbuckle of the
Light in the Darkness corner. Gia then walks over and stands behind her while
Luz is bent over in the corner. Gia presses up against Luz’s ass and leans
over, kissing her in the back, smirking. Gia pushes Luz through the ropes to
the apron and Gia turns around only for Amelia to grab her and hit a northern
lights suplex into a bridge!
1!
2!
Gia
gets her shoulder up as the crowd ohs.
Sharper:
“Oh! Almost had her. Two count only. Amelia Nevado with the northern lights
while the other Glimmer was down.”
Knots:
“Gia, I think that was, got a bit too into messing with Luz. That’s Amelia’s
partner…as long as she does the right thing tonight.”
Amelia
rolls over and gets up and Gia rolls over and stirs. She turns and swings at
Amelia, but Amelia ducks and then grabs her and hits a snap back suplex. Amelia
turns and Gina gets up and Amelia hits a European uppercut. She then hits
another before spinning her around and going for the Blight Choke. Gina,
however, resists, trying to grab onto the ropes. She keeps fighting and falls
forward, grabbing the ropes.
1!
2!
3!
4!
Amelia
then lets go and then goes to grab Gina again, but Demitra gets her back. Gia
runs at Amelia and Amelia hits a hip toss but turning to Gina who hits a
superkick. Amelia falls back into the LITD corner. Luz is recovering and Gina
runs over and grabs Amelia’s hand and uses it to tag Luz in. Luz looks up
before Gina then has Amelia spank Luz. Luz turns and nails Gina with a hard
right, knocking her back.
Sharper:
“And the Glimmers getting Luz back in! Again, they’re trying to play the two
off one another!”
Knots:
“And apparently get them a bit feisty!”
Sharper:
“And Luz just clocked Gina Glimmer, I think!”
Luz
slingshots in and Gia gets up and Luz hits a running kick. Gina turns and Luz
ducks clothesline before Luz runs forward, jumps to the middle rope and hits a
springboard moonsault taking both Glimmers down. Luz then nails Gia with a hard
right and then Gina with one before getting up and running to the ropes,
jumping to the middle rope and hitting a lionsault onto both Glimmers! She then
covers both!
1!
2!
Both
kick out. Luz then rolls off and runs her hand across her mask, realizing how
close she was to winning. She then looks at Amelia before turning to Gia and
stomping her in the face. She then grabs her.
Knots:
“Luz! What are you doing?!”
Sharper:
“The instinct to win took over there and Luz realized it. She realized she
nearly pinned both! She was just focused on winning!”
Knots:
“She would’ve been World Champion!”
Luz
then throws Gia through the ropes to the floor. Luz then turns around and Gina
runs at her and jumps up and goes for a flying headscissors, but Luz throws her
off. Gina lands on her feet and Luz then hits a shotei open-palmed strike. Gina
falls to the ropes. Luz then grabs her and whips her across the ring and hits a
spinning heel kick. She turns and looks at Amelia. Amelia looks up and Luz
points at Amelia. Amelia looks around as the crowd roars. Luz drags Gina
forward, but Gina then grabs Luz between her legs. Gina then hoists her up and
hits a back suplex onto Luz. Luz rolls over as Gina turns and smirks before
licking her lips. Many male fans in the crowd roar. Amelia goes to step into
the ring, but stops herself.
Sharper:
“Oh come on…”
Knots:
“Why not! Not like they have any class!”
Sharper:
“And cutting off Luz again!”
Luz
rolls over as Gina then runs into the ropes, bouncing off and hits a cartwheel
into a double kick, knocking Luz back down. Gina then looks at Luz as Gia then
starts to climb up to the top rope from having gone to the floor. Amelia spins
around and runs along the apron, but Gia dives off and nails her with a double
axe handle smash. Amelia falls to the floor. Gia smiles as Luz starts to get up
and Gina looks at Gia. They both look at Luz and run forward, holding hands,
and hit a double flipping cutter onto Luz. The crowd ohs.
Sharper:
“And Gia now taking down Amelia. Then the double cutter!”
Knots:
“Oh no…Luz…you’re going to mess this up for her. I knew your ego couldn’t
handle it!”
Sharper:
“Would you stop? She’s more than held up her end! But Gia and Gina…they may be
looking to end this.”
Gia and
Gina then get up and move to opposite corners. Luz is half out of it and Gia
and Gina then start to shake their asses getting a roar from the crowd. They
then run across and go for the Asspocalypse on Luz, but Amelia slides in and
tackles Luz out of the way. Gia and Gina collide into each other at full speed
and drop to the mat. Luz looks up at Amelia as Amelia looks at her. She then
kisses Luz on the forehead. The crowd roars. Amelia gets up and pulls Luz up.
Amelia drops down and rolls to the apron. She then gets up as Luz sees Gia and
Gina both getting up. Luz then flips forward and tags in Amelia. The crowd
erupts as Amelia climbs to the top rope and Luz grabs her and press slams her
off and into Gia and Gina as they get up.
Sharper:
“And Amelia saved Luz! And the Light in the Darkness! Luz tags in Amelia!”
Knots:
“Down go both Glimmers!”
Amelia
rolls through. Gia and Gina both get up and Luz then steps up and hits an
overhead chop to Gia. Gia turns and Amelia hits a European uppercut. Gia spins
through and Luz hits a jumping enziguri kick. Gia drops to the mat. Luz gets up
and Gina goes for a superkick on Luz, but Amelia catches the leg, saving Luz
again. Amelia then pushes the leg and spins her around and Luz and Amelia both
run at her and hit a lunging double European uppercuts and Gina goes up and
over the top rope to the floor. The crowd erupts. Demitra tells Luz to get out,
but Gia runs at Luz and nails her with a hard right and then another and
another. Amelia then flips her forward and runs across the ring. Luz runs up
behind Gia as Amelia hits the European uppercut. Luz jumps up and they hit the
Wisteria Waltz. Luz rolls off and then looks at Amelia. Amelia dives onto Gia
for the pin.
Sharper:
“Wisteria Waltz! Almost as if Light in the Darkness never had any issues!”
Knots:
“Amelia! Take the fall!”
Sharper:
“Luz looking to her for her to take the fall.”
1!
2!
3!
Gina
looks up from ringside as the bell sounds. The crowd roars. Amelia rolls off
and looks around as Luz stands off to the side. Demitra gets up and is handed
both sets of titles. Amelia then turns to Luz. The two lock eyes.
Phillips:
“Here are your winners, via pinfall, and NEW SCW World Tag Team Champions…the
Light in the Darkness…and STILL SCW World Champion, Amelia Nevado!”
Amelia
gets up as Aaron Demitra hands her the SCW World Championship. Amelia looks at
the title and smiles before going to hand her the SCW World Tag Team
Championship, but Amelia turns away, looking at the title. Luz steps up and
takes the Tag Titles. Luz then steps over to Amelia as Gina pulls Gia out of
the ring. They look into the ring.
Sharper:
“Amelia and Luz winning the Tag Titles. Retaining the World Title.”
Knots:
“Take that Gia! Gina! It didn’t work!’
Sharper:
“But you know they’ll come back. They’ll have a new plan. They never stay down
for long. Just ask Selena Frost and Xander Valentine.”
Luz
goes to hand one of the titles to Amelia as Amelia looks at it for several long
moments and pushes it back to her. She then throws her the World Championship
over her shoulder. Luz looks at Amelia as she drops down and rolls to the
floor. Luz holds both titles as Amelia, holding the World Championship, walks
around the ring. Gia and Gina watch this with great intent.
Sharper:
“Amelia Nevado walking out only with the World Championship. After they just
worked so well together…”
Knots:
“Luz holding the two titles, but right now, Amelia Nevado is focused on the
World Title. That’s her goal!”
Luz
watches as Amelia heads to the back, proudly holding her World Championship as
the scene fades to black.
A
trailer for the movie Solarless, starring Konrad Raab plays.
Taking
Hold of the Flame returns with a shot of the outside of the Allegiant Stadium
in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Sharper:
“Welcome back to Taking Hold of the Flame. And congratulations to Konrad Raab,
starring in the new Solarless movie. We are here in Las Vegas. Taking Hold of
the Flame.”
Knots:
“And thankfully, we don’t have the Glimmers as World Champion!”
Sharper:
“Amelia Nevado retaining and…”
We then
cut backstage as we see Deanna Frost talking to Frank Delatosso backstage.
Delatosso:
“Deanna…don’t worry…I won’t be needing to take you up on your offer. There’s no
reason to put Amelia int hat position when she did what I knew she could do.”
Deanna:
“I don’t mind at all-“
Delatosso:
“So where’s Selena?”
Deanna
sighs.
Delatosso:
“She better be here. But then again, would hate for her to fall on her face
again? Then again, the rush when someone tosses her over the top rope.”
Deanna:
“She’ll be here….she’ll…be here.”
Delatosso:
“Well then…”
Delatosso
then reaches into his blazer pocket and hands Deanna two balls from the drawing
tumbler.
Delatosso:
“Here you go then. One for you…one for her. And if she doesn’t show up…you can
deal with the consequences of people who will be pissed off they were passed
over.”
Deanna
looks at the entries balls she’s been given as Delatosso turns and walks off.
Sharper:
“Wait? What was that about?”
Knots:
“Mr. Delatosso always has a plan, Sharper! Turns out, he didn’t need it. Amelia
Nevado again showed exactly what she can do!”
We
return to a live shot inside the Allegiant Stadium. “Gone Gone Gone” by Autumn
Kings plays in the background.
Sharper:
“In any case, next, the forty person Taking Hold of the Flame battle royal. We
know Amelia Nevado is your World Champion. Who will face her at Rise to
Greatness XXIII?”
Knots:
“And for once, no surprises. Win and your win. Forty people…take your best
shot!”
Sharper:
“Let’s go up to Jason Phillips.”
Taking
Hold of the Flame cuts to the ring where Jason Phillips stands.
Phillips:
“Fans…it is now time for the twenty-third Forty Person Taking Hold of the Flame
Battle Royal!”
The
crowd cheers loudly.
Phillips:
“The rules are as follows. Two individuals will start in the ring. Every ninety
seconds, a new individual will enter the battle royal until all forty have
entered. Individuals are eliminated if they are thrown over the top rope and
both feet touch the floor. The winner, who is the last person standing, will go
on to Rise to Greatness XXIII to challenge for the SCW World Championship!”
The
crowd cheers again as Phillips stands in the ring.
Phillips:
“Now to find out who drew numbers one and two!”
2026
Taking Hold of the Flame Battle Royal
The
opening chords of AFI's "I Hope You Suffer" starts to play as the
video wall blazes to life with the violent and epic SCW history of David
Striker, all of his epic highlights thus far in the company from his wars with
Kimberly Williams to his fall from the top of the scaffold at RTG and then his
insane return on Breakdown is shown as the man himself slowly walks out onto
the entrance way.
Phillips: “Entering first, currently residing in South Town, Florida, he is The
Dark Horse... David Striker!”
I got two letters from you
Last words of the runaway
Your love was written so true
And now I can't speak your name
I faced destruction and you
Just killed me and walked away
I gave my heart to the cruel
Now it will not beat again
As the song enters its first chorus David Striker heads down to the ring. David
Striker continues to head to the ring, stoically focusing on the task ahead of
him. Once he gets there, he wipes his feet off on the ring apron and slips into
the ring.
No one will ever know you
Deny the last one who cares
Intoxicate with the new
Pretend I'm no longer there
I opened my heart to you
You lied just to reach inside
Now with the faith you removed
Our hope for forgiveness dies
David thumps his chest twice before raising it to the sky before quickly
throwing his ring coat off. He then walks around the ring, awaiting his
opponent.
Knots:
“Well David…I think this is karma. You and your idiot friends are more worried
about me than just focusing on the ring.”
Sharper:
“Sometimes you get the luck, but David Striker is an interesting result to
start us off. The young man is as explosive as they come and you know he’s
looking to make an impact tonight!”
Knots:
“Well if he wants to go the distance, he better focus. He can do it, but he has
to focus!”
The
lights go out, except for a single spotlight at the top of the stage. The
opening chords to “Patient Number 9” by Ozzy Osbourne begins to play. A
haunting voice is heard…
"Is there a way out of here?"
"Hey, how long you been here?"
"I wanna go home"
"Hey, hahaha"
"Hahaha"
"Excuse me, could you tell how to get out of here?"
"Hahaha"
"I want to go home"
"Hahaha"
"Mommy, mommy"
The song begins to rage full bore now. Suddenly the lights come back on and
Kimberly Williams is standing at the top of the stage to a loud, mostly
positive, reaction from the fans. David Striker smiles. A sinister smirk is on
her face as she ponders what she is about to do tonight.
Phillips:
“And entering at number two, from Boston, Massachusetts, she is the Wild Card,
Kimberly Williams!”
She
winks at the fans before pointing towards the ring and making a beeline towards
it. She slides into the ring underneath the bottom rope. Kimberly
then poses in the center of the ring to another loud reaction from the
fans. The music slowly dies down and Kimberly goes to a corner to await
the start of the match.
Sharper:
“And this could be interesting. Williams and Striker have a long history and a
lot of respect.”
Knots:
“Yeah, but David…you want to get past her. Kim wants to challenge for the World
Title. She shouldn’t be in there, but if she focuses, moves on from the
Underground nonsense, maybe she does it.”
The
bell sounds as Kim and David look at one another and smirk before circling the
ring. They then step forward and go for a lock-up, but David goes low and hits
a double leg takedown. The crowd roars as David lunges forward and then nails
Kim with a shot and then another before Kim pushes him off. Both get up and Kim
chops David. The crowd woos. She chops him again. More woos. She then grabs him
and goes to run him to the corner. David blocks it and elbows her in the ribs
once and then again before turning and nailing her with a hard right. Kim
staggers back and then steps forward only for David to hit a shotei. Kim is
rocked, falling back, but through the ropes to the floor.
Sharper:
“And Kim through the ropes. Not over. Not eliminated.”
Knots:
“Can we make an exception just for her?!”
Kim
rolls over as David walks around the ring, playing to the crowd, getting them
into it. Kim then crawls over to the ring. David heads over towards the ropes
and Kim suddenly pulls out a steel chair and throws it into the ring. The crowd
roars. David moves out of the way. Kim then grabs a second chair and throws it

The signature call of the one and only “magical clown girl” proceeds a catchy,
upbeat tune that accompanies an anime-inspired transformation sequence straight

rainbow hues twirling in glitter and magic before ultimately donning the
appearance of the heroine of justice and smiles, Glitter Joy. The bombastic,
upbeat tune of “Cotton Candy Moon” suddenly hits, accompanied by an anime-style
video of Glitter Joy both performing amazing feats of circus delight and clips
of some of her greatest wrestling matches reimagined as epic magical girl
battles, and the fans all erupt at the arrival of a wrestler like no other. A
burst of pyro erupts from the center of the stage, and through the smoke leaps

this sport may be too. I am not someone to be bought and I will not be swayed
by trinkets although I will happily take them for my own means!”
The
crowd boos as Grant and Wendell continue on their way.
Grant:
“I am your new United States Champion, but I don’t feel that was the plan. Or
at least the long term plan. Too bad that I am here not to fit into your plans.
I am here to get you all to disconnect. To disconnect from the constant
technological dribble. The overfocus on living for likes and clicks instead of
living in the moment. To have a full life instead of a fake life. And I will
happily take this moment to get the opportunity to expand my message…with the
richest prize on wrestling, the World Championship!”
The
crowd boos as Grant throws the microphone down and slides into the ring. He
then runs over only for Cruze to kick him in the ribs. Cruze runs him over and

“Fortunate
Son” by CCR again plays. Gavin again is motioning to the back. He looks back as
the crowd boos before again, we see no one coming out. We then suddenly cut
backstage to see Karl and Jack Barker down backstage, having been seemingly
attacked as Lucas Knight, Dillusion, and Dean Black stand by. The camera cuts
as we see Gina and Gia Glimmer, both still in their lingerie, but wearing
Glimmer Sisters t-shirts running off.
Sharper:
“Wait a minute…was that…”
Knots:
“Someone attacked the All-Star Secret Service! What the hell?!”
Sharper:
“And I think I know who and I think this is to send a message! Oh boy!”
Gavin
looks around before the crowd erupts as we see Gia and Gina Glimmer running out
from the back. They run down to the ring and slide in and immediately then run
at Luz and hit a double clothesline. They get up and turn and Gia catches
Belmont with a straight kick to the ribs as Gina does the same to Polly. The
crowd ohs and Selena then gets up as Gia and Gina turn and go after her
attacking her with hard right hands leading to a massive cheer from the crowd.

“And the Glimmers coming in and doing damage!”
Knots:
“Can’t they just be happy being the sideshow they are!”

“They had a plan tonight. It didn’t happen, but they weren’t going to leave
without sending a message to a few people they don’t care for! Delatosso,
Selena Frost…Dexter Grant…”
The
crowd boos as the Glimmers are forced out of the ring. Gina takes off her
t-shirt and throws it into the crowd. The crowd roars as Gia does the same. The
officials and agents start to move them around the ring as the crowd cheers.
The camera follows them as Gavin watches, but then we see Anansi Rivers walking
over to Polly Playtime. She then hoists her up and looks at her. Polly looks at
her before Rivers hits a quick leg sweep. Playtime hits the mat. Rivers looks

then holds his arm up and runs down to the ring. He runs past the agents and

stops and looks up.
FRED:
“Where…where’s the pod? Where’s the-“
Just
then, David Belmont grabs FRED and runs him forward and eliminates him. Belmont
shakes his head.
Sharper:
“And FRED coming in…I think he thought this was the Chamber…but….”

her. The crowd woos. Polly winces before Scott grabs Rivers and pulls her back.

Bree, the freshest, Selena going after and quickly taking that away.”
Selena

but finally taken out!”
Knots:

her, but Luz runs over and stomps at her hands. Selena loses grip and
frantically tries to reach out before dropping to the floor herself. The crowd
erupts in cheers!
Sharper:
“Selena Frost eliminated! She was eliminated!”
Knots:
“Did she help Deanna and did that cost her?”
Sharper:
“I don’t know, but Selena Frost eliminated Hayes, but Cruze didn’t hesitate and
neither did Luz. They saw Selena in a vulnerable position.”
Knots:
“Cruze went for the ribs after. Luz the hands. Selena again falls short!”
Selena
looks up at the ring in shock. Cruze and Luz back away as Deanna steps forward,
realizing what has happened. She now, for the first time, locks eyes with
Selena. Selena looks back at her, stunned again. Grant then looks around before
running over and nailing Deanna with a hard right. Cruze and Luz start to trade
blows as Selena just backs up and leans against the barricade, looking down,
trying to again to process this.
Sharper:
“Another shock for Selena! But we need to focus on the ring! Final four. One of
these four is going to Rise to Greatness! Someone is going to be a first time
winner of the Taking Hold of the Flame!”
Knots:

the World Title!”

“And Selena Frost is thrilled. You know what that means!”
Sharper:
“Well…I’m not going to go there. Deanna Frost outlasts…comes in at number
thirteen. Lucky thirteen and now will face Amelia Nevado for the World
Championship!”
Luz
rolls over on the floor and looks up as Selena smiles. Deanna slowly gets up
and looks at Selena who turns around, letting out a sigh of relief. Deanna then
turns away as she looks up at the Rise to Greatness sign. She just smiles a bit
as she remains seated, her arms on her knees, just taking in the moment. Pyro

black…
