She looked at the potential of her friend JaMarcus Avery and Ian McKinnon’s friend TD Batterson, saw those two would make killing at a Hoss team in pro wrestling. Due to the current climate she didn’t feel she should be the one out in front advocating for them. Enter Donovan Cunningham. A former GM and a successful manager in his own right. Him and Christy (along with Ian) have formed a “Conglomerate” of sorts. Who says blacks and whites can’t come together. An all black tag team, managed by a black man, in partnership with a white woman and a white man. Unity at its finest.

Entrance Description:


"King Nothing" by Metallica echos from the louder speaker. The lights go out. When the lights come back on Donovan Cunningham appears on the stage. Not too long after JaMarcus Avery and TD Batterson walk out to join him. All three of them raise one fist into the air. Then they march down to the ring with purpose. They reach the ring. Donovan gets on the apron. JaMarcus slides underneath the bottom rope. While all this is going on TD walks up the ring step. Donovan holds the rope open for TD to enter the ring. They join JaMarcus in the center of the ring. Once again all three raise their fist in the air. Donnie gives TD and JaMarcus a small pep talk. He exits the ring to the outside as TD and JaMarcus wait for the match to start.

Short Biography:
JaMarcus is a multi year veteran of the sport having stints in IWC and GCW. TD became a professional wrestler late last year. The lone interaction they shared was at GCW Resurrection when TD put JaMarcus through the announce table. One would think this would lead to an all out war between the two. Their contracts expired. Their respective tag team partners (Christy Hightower and Ian McKinnon) initially wanted to being The Odyssey and Prestige to EMERGE to find success. Christy had the keen business sense to understand a TD and JaMarcus could make a killing. Bringing Donovan Cunningham onboard, a “Conglomerate” of Christy, Ian and Donovan was formed. Under Donovan’s stewardship, the Emerge tag team division and professional wrestling is in store for some Affirmative Action.

Pyro explodes for each turnbuckle, Hamill climbing afterwards, and making a machine gun motion out over the ground. He then jumps down and joins Sarge, as the music fades

Fun loving, care-free elder half of the team known as ‘Moustache Ride’. The two guys are serious about the business but never take themselves seriously; they enjoy having fun, enjoy the ladies, the attention the business brings and wouldn'’t mind more money. But never call him a joke or he may cut you...

All-round. A big lad who can still throw himself around well.

"Can't Talk - Must Tache":
Standing behind the opponent, Tommy applies a full nelson hold on them before lifting them into the air and falling down to a seated position, driving the opponent down tailbone-first onto the canvas before pinning them for the one two three. Also known as a full nelson bomb.

"Grim Up North":
Tommy whips the opponent into the ropes and as they come back, he flings the opponent vertically up into the air. While they’'re in the air, he catches them and brings them down hard onto their back with a powerbomb. Also known as a popup powerbomb.

Signature Moves and description:
"Yorkshire Uppercut"
Tommy whips the opponent into the ropes and waits for them to come back. As they bounce back and run back towards him he uses their momentum to throw them into the air and as they fall back down he hits a huge European uppercut. Can also be done as a counter to a springboard/dive from the top. Also known as a popup European uppercut.

"Turnbuckle Turnout":
Used whenever an opponent is charging towards Tommy while he’'s in the corner; Tommy will step forward and use the opponent’s momentum to lift them up and over with a scooped powerslam straight into the turnbuckles.

Strengths:
1: His beard gives him the power of a thousand men. Hopefully nobody tries to Samson that shit, because it may just remove his power by cutting it off!
2: Has years of experience. Jokes and fun loving nature aside, he is a ring general and knows his way around the squared circle. 

Weaknesses:
1: His flamboyant showboating can cost him. He tries to show off to the ladies despite the evidence to suggest he has no right to do so and that can be a distraction.
2: While his ring game is well rounded, he doesn't excel at anything. He doesn't have any attributes that put him head and shoulders above his contemporaries in any one style.

Entrance:
The arenas main lights dim and colourful lights begin to flash around the stage as the screen lights up with the Moustache Ride logo and "Saint Elmo's Fire (Man In Motion)" by John Parr begins to black out of the speakers. The curtains part and out struts Tommy Wasley in his ring gear, a white silk scarf around his neck and a knee length double breasted grey coat. Grooving alone to the music, he struts to the top of the ramp before striking a pose which involves twirling his moustache to a pop from the fans. Letting go he starts to make his way down the ramp, dad-dancing along to the music as he goes.

Kidman: "Making his way to the ring, styling and profiling all the way from Doncaster England by way of the Moustache Kingdom. He weighed in earlier tonight at two hundred fifty nine pounds of husky sexiness and would like me to inform the ladies that he IS indeed single and very much D.T.F. Ladies and gentlemen, give it up... FOR TOMMY WASLEY!"

Reaching the bottom of the ramp, Tommy struts around the outside before rolling into the ring where he removes his jacket and hands it off to the referee. He then sexily slides the silk scarf from his neck and pats his body down with it a little before throwing it to a random woman in the crowd. He then turns and walks to the corner where he climbs the ropes and once again rocks the same moustache-twirling pose before dropping down and settling back in the corner to wait for the start of the match.

Character Bio:
Tough as old boots northern wrestler from the market town of Doncaster in England. Unlike half the people in the business of professional wrestling, Tommy does not come from a wrestling family. He does come from a family however; some of them are actually not dickheads. He moved to London at eighteen because he figured it was where the money was. Upon moving there however, he discovered that while he was right with that assumption, it was also true that the people who had the money didn’t want anyone else to have it, so he spent a couple of years living in less than ideal circumstances. He stumbled across wrestling almost by accident; he believed he was attending a job interview for a job as a gym instructor but he accidentally attended the wrong address and ended up in a wrestling school instead and decided to stick around because the gym was warmer than his house. His house was a dump; the central heating was broken and his thieving bastard of a landlord wouldn’t lift a finger to fix even a picture hook let alone fit a new heating system. The rest is history…, or at least he hopes it is, because there were some periods he definitely doesn’t want to remember. Oh! And he’s got a friend who’s a southern softy with an inferior beard, but Tommy’s more than makes up for that fact so it’s all gravy.

Bonus Tommy Facts!:
#01: - Tommy can consume an entire keg of lager in under 10 minutes. Under 5 if he's had a good curry beforehand.

#02: - Tommy considers the scoville scale a suggestion rather than a warning; the higher the number, the better the noms.

#03: - Tommy purchases a special beard oil made by Tibetan monks who live on top of a large mountain. It gives him the sexual potency of a Tyrannosaurus, just ask your girlfriend.

#04: - Tommy's beard isn't just a beard, it's a face cushion for the ladies. Always put their needs first, lads!

#05: - Tommy has always been a fair believer in the idiom 'the body is a temple'. Because of this, he ensures his 14 pack is well-shielded by a protective layer of fat at all times.

#07: - Tommy would like to build a snowman - and it still waiting on Selena Frost to return his calls about his offer - but unfortunately, he is from England, and in England they only ever get a good slush and nothing more. Bugger.

#08: - Tommy believes the greatest movie of all time is Terminator 2 and he will fight anyone who disagrees with him, especially if he's already consumed the previously mentioned keg of lager. However, he has also been known to fight himself after consuming said keg of lager, so that perhaps isn't saying much.

The fans give a huge pop as Ivy Knight walks out from the back to join Esme on the stage and she points at the ring, getting a nod from Esme before the young brummie sets off down the ramp, slapping hands with fans before sliding into the ring. She rushes the corner and climbs up to pose on the middle turnbuckle before jumping down and pulling on the ropes as she waits for the start of the match. On the outside, Ivy settles in next to the apron, speaking words of encouragement to Esme as the youngster leans back in the corner to wait.

Wrestler Entrance [without Ivy]:
The lights dim and flickering baby blue and baby pink lights begin to flash on the entranceway as “Attention” by We Are The In Crowd hits the speakers. The screen lights up to show Esme Cook jumping and punching the and smoke cannons shoot up on either side of the stage as Esme herself walks out from the back.

Second generation wrestler from a wrestling family in the U.K. Younger sister of Tommy Cook, but nothing like her older brother. Esme is super kind, super friendly and super excited about everything. It’s super, if you didn’t pick that up.

1. OverCooked - Omega’s ‘One Winged Angel’. For opponents that she can lift.

2. On Face Value - Sitout facebuster, aka the X-Factor. For opponents she can’t lift

Signature Moves and description:
1. Head Over Heels - Esme whips the opponent towards the ropes then runs after them, sliding towards the ropes as they hit them. As they turn to go back across she grabs their ankles and trips them up, causing them to fall forward. 2. A Good Knee’s Up - Esme takes the opponent down with a snapmare then runs past them at the ropes. Bouncing off she runs back at the seated opponent and hits a shining wizard.

Then there is an explosion of liquid hitting the screen and washes away to reveal video of HUNG & Delilah strutting towards the screen along a beach. We then see various shots of them having fun, doing various activities. Surfing, jet skiing. Volleyball etc… The sun shines brightly, Hung is dressed in a multi-colour print shirt while Delilah is wearing a t-shirt tied at the waist and hot pants.
 
Announcer: “Ladies and Gentlemen, hailing from California… They weigh in tonight at a combined weight of Three hundred and five lbs. They bring with them the Rum and the Tumble… They are the PINA COLADAS!!”
 
Two spotlights shine down onto the stage now, one pink and one yellow, standing in a beam each is HUNG who is staring at his camera lens talking and Delilah who waves to the crowd.  The arena lights come up next fully as the fans cheer for the two young talents. The pair walk towards each other and high five before heading down towards the ring, HUNG making sure to take Selfies with the fans and Delilah along the way since he can’t help himself. The pair quickly slide into the ring together and make their way to different corners. HUNG pointing the camera outwards to get a better view of the crowd while Delilah grins and waves. The two then jump down and head to their corner, HUNG laying the camera down and the pair begin to discuss their strategy for the up and coming match…

Bar - Ca - Di Party: HUNG whips his opponent into the ropes, when they come back for the return. He then lifts them into the air and falls back as Delilah catches them with a cutter.

The Pineapple Express: HUNG & Delilah after they tag the other will quickly hit stereo Superkicks over and over again.
 
Cherry Popper: HUNG after sitting opponent in Corner, will lock them in with a Muscle Buster and as he steps away Delilah climbs the corner and leaps off hitting a double stomp as HUNG drops the opponent down.
 
Rum Runner: With the opponent kneeling on the canvas. After the tag, Both Delilah & HUNG will hit opposite ropes and connect with stiff kicks to the chest and back of their opponents. Usually after that they will pretend to toast a drink together.

My therapist looked at me, wildly blinking. "And why is that?"

I shrugged. "Life is just....boring. A lot of the time things just get so over dramatic and I've even gotten bored with rolling my eyes at that crap."

"So you think living your life as an action movie would be better?"

"Well, I'm not going to go out and hope for explosions and all that."

"Then, what are you talking about?"

"When I was a kid, and I got bored...I would write stories. Boredom was always a thing. Like after awhile I got tired of going outside, because I felt I had done just about all that I could. But with my imagination, I could do anything. The possibilities were endless."

"So, you're going to start writing stories? To cure your boredom?"

I shrugged again. "I think so. I mean, the meds have helped a little bit. I'm just inspired to do something creatively."

He made his note before looking up at me and smiling. "Well, I say go for it, Asher. Dream big, and write it out. Just don't let me see you in the news trying to be Spiderman or anything like that. Deal?"

I smirked. "Deal."

TAG TEAM DIVISION 'EMERGING'

It has been announced via press conference in the last few moments that at EMERGE #42, EMERGE will once again try to form a Tag team division of its own

Those that follow the company will knew that it has been attempted already on two different occasions, but it seems that new General Manager Dani Copeland-Stlyes is more confident of success this time

In the press conference she stated '"The thing is with tag team wrestling, it is a specialist division. EMERGE in the past has tried to focus on developing tag teams, instead of signing the very best out there. In the last twenty four, and ongoing, I am going to change that, with a new era of tag team wrestling commencing at EMERGE #42"

After the press conference, where Mrs Styles went on to name the ten tag teams already signed... with the promise of more to come, we spoke to a source within EMERGE, that confirmed that there will be a randomly drawn Gauntlet match, at both EMERGE #42 and #43. And that the theory is, the winner of each Gauntlet will face off at Heavy is the Crown for the Tag Team Titles.

Now, this writer doesn't know if that is set in stone, or how many will be in each Gauntlet, it seems that depends on further interest, however, it does seem like Dani is setting about righting the tag division AND making a success of it. A division that probably hasn't been a success since Season One.

Personally, I hope it goes well, as it's probably what EMERGE is missing right now. Also, I do wonder if Madeline Masters and Desiree Devna might get the opportunity to compete... or even be awarded the Tag Team titles, after what happened to them with the DUO's championships.
