*Heavy metal rock music plays for about thirty seconds, till eventually it fades*
Tyler: Hello, and welcome to Episode 3 of Shootin the Breeze, as usual sat with me is my good bud Connor
Connor: Hey
Tyler: Now, I know what you are saying, Episode 3…
Connor: You guys lazy
Tyler: Exactly, but we haven’t been lazy at all. In fact, if you have a Twitter account…
Connor: And let’s be honest, who hasn’t?
Tyler: You’ll know what we have been up to. We asked you, the wrestling fans to give us names of the wrestlers that you believe have shaped our industry, and you guys delivered with 44 of the biggest names on the planet
Connor: Of course, there were some exceptions…
Tyler: That’s right, so outright refused to be used in this competition, and being good guys we respected their right, but we were still left with a pretty impressive list. Then using some randomizer on the internet, we put together a tournament… and this was the draw.
Connor: Psycho versus Thirteen, Jason King versus Spirit, William Hush versus Kelcey Wallace
Tyler: Daemon Frost versus Steve Powers, Dylan Howell versus Trinity Street, Ladder versus Wyvern
Connor: AWOL versus Lethal Weapon, Orlando Cruze versus Yvonne Knight, Alexis Quinne versus Simon Lyman
Tyler: Shadow Cat versus Nathan Creed , ASP versus Travis Vessey, and Chris Staggs versus Thomas Watson
Connor: Lukas Montgomery versus Aaron Rupp, Harmony Fisher versus Jessica Heart, Johnny Kingdom versus CHBK
Tyler: Shawn Mason versus Blitzkrieg, Gable Winchester versus Mitch Sanders, Taylor Chase versus Memphis Cade
Connor: And finally, Donovan Kayl versus Amy Chastaine, Hurse versus Brody McCoy, Odin Knyght versus Beard and last of all Angelica Jones versus Trevor Galinas
Tyler: Some unbelievable dream matches in there. With that draw announced, we then asked you, the wrestling fans to decide who you believe would have won that match. This forming a fantasy tournament to try and find out just who was the greatest wrestler of all time.
Connor: Unquestionably... except for the ones who didn't enter
Tyler: I have the results in front of me, and boy, I can’t wait to give them to you. But first, we just need to explain the format of this tournament. Obviously with their being 44 wrestlers, 22 matches, we needed to balance the brackets, therefore based on the votes received…
Connor: This is the science people
Tyler: The 22 ‘losers’ we put into a Battle Roya
l
Connor: It could happen
Tyler: And the ten ‘highest’ wrestlers voted for… they are given a second chance, and make up the rest of the bracket… it will make sense when you see it
Connor: We hope
Tyler: You voted in your thousands… and come of the competitors even got involved, and this is what happened. I will read the match… and Connor will revealed the percentage of vote and the winner… cool?
Connor: Beans cool
Tyler: OK then… I’m so excited
Connor: Can tell… get on with it
Tyler: Psycho versus Thirteen
Connor: Thirteen with an emphatic victory… probably a submission, with 91% of the votes
Tyler: Jason King versus Spirit
Connor: Jason King goes through with a pinfall, and 82% of the vote
Tyler: William Hush versus Kelcey Wallace
Connor: The Perfect 10 perfectly advances with 78%
Tyler: Daemon Frost versus Steve Powers
Connor: Steve Powers squeaks through with 55%
Tyler: Dylan Howell versus Trinity Street
Connor: Two absolute legends… but its Trinity who goes through with 69%... snigger, I said 69
Tyler: Ladder versus Wyvern
Connor: Thankfully for this competition, Wyvern goes through… just with 51%
Tyler: AWOL versus Lethal Weapon
Connor: Two ULW originals… remember that place? But it’s Weapon that goes through with 76% of the vote
Tyler: Orlando Cruze versus Yvonne Knight
Connor: The Icon advances with 70%
Tyler: Not doing the pinfall thing anymore
Connor: Nope… got boring fast that one
Tyler: Next up, Alexis Quinne versus Simon Lyman
Connor: Perhaps the most loved wrestler in the list still has his fans… and goes through with 70% of the vote
Tyler: Shadow Cat versus Nathan Creed
Connor: Orlando’s old tag team goes out as Shadow cat claims 57% of the vote
Tyler: ASP versus Travis Vassey
Connor: Perhaps a surprise to some… Vassey is through with 62%
Tyler: Chris Staggs versus Thomas Watson
Connor: And maybe another surprise… Staggs advances to round two with 56%
Tyler: Lucas Montgomery versus Aaron Rupp
Connor: Ruppy makes it at the expense of Montgomery… 62% of the vote
Tyler: Harmony Fisher versus Jessica Heart
Connor: A surprise maybe here… Jessica Heart through with 51.8
Tyler: Johnny Kingdom versus CHBK
Connor: ULW original versus SCW original… and its SCW that wins out, CHBK through with 79%
Tyler: Shawn Mason versus Blitzkrieg
Connor: The Monster advances… with 81% of the vote
Tyler: Gable Winchester versus Mitch Sanders
Connor: Gable goes through with 76%
Tyler: Taylor Chase versus Memphis Cade
Connor: First Lady is through… with 76% of the vote
Tyler: Donovan Kayl versus Amy Chastaine
Connor: Another very close match this one… consider it a victory via count out to Amy Chastaine with 51% of the vote
Tyler: Hurse versus Brody McCoy
Connor: Hurse is through with 89%
Tyler: Odin Knyght versus Beard
Connor: Another popular wrestler goes through… it’s Beard with 63%
Tyler: And finally, Angelica Jones versus Trevor Galinas
Connor: Angelica is the final person to make it through… 91% of the vote
There is a momentary silence… till finally Tyler speaks
Tyler: Some huge matches, and some big eliminations as well. But what do the brackets look like after that
Connor: Let’s tell them
Tyler: So… it’s going to be Thirteen versus Angelica Jones, and Jason King versus Beard
Connor: We are going to see a huge confrontation as Kelcey Wallace is pitted against Hurse, and also Steve Powers will go one on one with Amy Chastaine.
Tyler: Another massive match will mean Trinity Street faces Taylor Chase, and Wyvern will go up against Gable Winchester
Connor: Also in round two, it will be Lethal Weapon versus Blitzkrieg… what I would have paid to see that. AND Orlando Cruze will face CHBK
Tyler: Wow…and we have Simon Lyman versus Jessica Heart, Shadow Cat versus Aaron Rupp and Travis Vassey versus Chris Staggs
Connor: Get voting on your favorites again, remember every vote counts
Tyler: But of course, we also have the ten people that advanced in our Battle Royal… so, added to the brackets will be
Connor: William Hush… who will face Donovan Kayl
Tyler: Getting a second opportunity, Dylan Howell will go up against Memphis Cade
Connor: Yvonne Knight will face Shawn Mason
Tyler: And Alexis Quinne will go against the Johnny Kingdom
Connor: And finally Thomas Watson reenters the fray against ASP
Tyler: Sixteen matches to decide who will go through to the final sixteen, the winner of Thirteen / Angelica Jones facing the winner of the ASP / Watson match and so on.
Music plays, until they come back
Tyler: So looking back over round one… anything jumps out at you?
Connor: Thomas Watson going out, Kayl as well… glad they got a second chance.
Tyler: And coming up in round two?
Connor: Where do I start? Virtually every match would be an absolute blockbuster if it every actually came to life. But Weapon and Blitzkrieg. Street and Chase. Cruze and CHBK… I could literally go on and on.
Tyler: Well, the vote is now live guys… no more second chances for your favorites so get those votes in and make sure they advance. We will be back soon with the results of the second round of competition so make sure to check that all out as we make our way on the road to the Fantasy Wrestling Championship. That’s it from us for now… see you later guys
Connor: And Toodles from the Con-Man
Tyler: I thought you’d forgotten about that
Connor: Never…
Music plays them out to a fade

Taking Hold of the Flame is coming together. The plan right now is to aim for tomorrow night with a Friday posting still being a possibility. I have to complete the battle royal, which, as you can expect takes some time, but also requires me to get into a bit of a groove. It's roughly half done at the moment.
Otherwise, this is the time of the year I try to be at my best with crafting the weekly shows and builds to Rise to Greatness. For those who have experienced it, I hope you know how special this time is. For those who have not, you're in for, I hope, some fun. That said, the biggest change, aside from me trying my hardest to develop the best build and card I can for Rise to Greatness, I also tend to book a bit more selectively in that I book largely with everything driven by the big picture for Rise to Greatness and less to get everyone on the card. That doesn't mean you can't be booked. I'm happy to accommodate those who want to be booked weekly or more. In those cases, I will just have more dark matches so you can keep your stories going or fine tune any issues as you gear up for the event.
Of course, I'm always available to answer questions. I hope you enjoy this time and welcome to Rise to Greatness season.

Hey all,
Bored at work, and happened to see Wasley's article on the CD board, which comes on the back of one Jon asked me to write that I wrote and I believe he posted. Apparently Wasley said that 4CW was mentioned the other day as well, the old eFed run by Jacky Knight which turned into a news and rumours site for SCW.
It's odd, because I (very briefly) mentioned to Jon about doing a podcast to talk about the SCW results like it were a real show, but the problems were that I hate my own voice and Jon can't be assed, so it immediately ended there. However, after talking with Wasley today, would people be interested in an actual news/rumours site again?
I don't think I could put as much into it as I tried to do with 4CW, so it would likely be updates every few days once I had something decent to update, but if people were willing to contribute stories (they wouldn't need to be limited to just SCW) or rumours about their characters it's something that *might* be fun to do again, along with weekly reviews of the shows (maybe).
Let me know your thoughts and I'll consider it, partly because pwoutsider.com is both fitting and hilarious.
(Wrote this earlier but then work got less boring and I forgot to post it)

ANTE(BLOWING)UP?
By Mark Ronson on 2020-05-31 15:15:00
In a huge development this afternoon, PW Outsider can exclusively reveal a shocking turn of events that recently transpired at AnteUp Academy of Wrestling in Santa Barbara, California only days ago!
According to sources - who wished to remain anonymous for obvious reason - AnteUp is said to be the setting of an explosive argument and subsequent fight between current Supreme Championship Wrestling roster members and founding owners of AnteUp Academy of Wrestling, New Jersey’s David Helms and Raleigh native Thomas Valentine!
According to sources, the argument broke out around midday, with raised voices heard coming from the office of said school, which quickly turned into more than just squabbling, with witnesses claiming a brawl between the two ensued and had to be broken up by former wrestlers, Brittany Lohan and Matthew Stone, in front of an entire class of new students.
“It was insane,” one source said. “We were standing by one of the rings, listening to Coach Matty explain the days first drill, and suddenly all hell breaks loose from above!”
Asked what that meant, the same source went on to explain. “At first it was faint, noise coming from the office used by the management. Then suddenly there’s banging and yelling and we heard things breaking up there. And then it grew louder as the argument spilled out onto the open upper floor!”
Another source came forward not long after, who added the following. “It was brutal, they were really going for one another. Coach Matty and Coach Brittany rushed upstairs to split it up, but they didn’t tell us to leave so we sort of stood there, listening. That’s when it happened.”
When what happened, you are no doubt wondering. And that was our question, the answer to which was a shock even to us at PW Outsider: “Helms told Valentine that he was done. His words were perhaps a little more colorful, but that’s the short form anyway. He told Valentine he was through with their partnership and he was selling up. Either Valentine bought him out or he’d find someone who would.”
“Yeah, that’s about right” the previous source confirmed when we contacted them again following the report from our second source. “Dave lost his shit and told Tommy he was out of there, and maybe he’d see if Blake [Mason, SCW] was interested in buying him out. It wasn’t just the school though, he brought up a tonne of other stuff that they owned too. It sounded like he was basically ending their friendship AND business relationship completely. Tommy was NOT happy, either; he told Dave he'd do just that and find the money no matter what. I think the dreams over, dude.”
We reached out to AnteUp for comment but are yet to hear back. Of course, with SCW set to host Taking Hold of the Flame tonight at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ, perhaps we will have to wait a day or two for any sort of official response. If we get any more information on this breaking news, we will update this article as it comes in!
Update:
Since publishing this article, vigilant readers have inundated us with messages and emails speculating on the issue, with several pointing to a recent livestream on Youtube yesterday by David Helms. In the video, which we recieved screenshots from, Helms can be seen sporting what is clearly a partially healed split lip. Keen to know more, PWOutsider reached out to the two individuals who contacted us to ask and while one didn't answer, the other one did and had the following to say: "Yeah, it's true, it looked like Valentine may have socked him one. His lip was split and his chin was a mess, blood running down it. He had to walk right past all of us to leave the building, and he actually stopped to apologize to us for the interruption. It was kind of weird."
With these new developments, we can only draw one conclusion: that the fight indeed DID take place as suggested and clearly things turned physical as the signs are there on Helms' face for all to see. This is obviously an end of an era for a working relationship spanning more than a decade. The question now is whether Thomas Valentine will indeed find the money to buy out his partner or whether David Helms will find an alternative buyer? More on this as it breaks...

Chris Cannon In Crisis?
There’s plenty of speculation today surrounding SCW wrestler Chris Cannon after a mysterious tweet from him in the early hours. Cannon, who hasn’t stated publicly what the tweet was about, posted an image simply of a hanging noose. Many fans and wrestlers immediately expressed concern on Twitter, however as yet nobody has made any official comment about what exactly it means.
Obviously if there’s any update to this story we’ll inform you immediately.
