==========
July 7th, 2024 Orlando, Florida Off Camera ========== After the special 4th of July edition of Breakdown, things have become clearer for Glory Braddock and Brittany Lohan. After Team Desire upset Light in the Darkness for the tag team championship, it appeared as if once again settling the dispute between the two rivals would be delayed. It even appeared as if Amelia and Luz were ready to give up. Now things have changed again and a match has apparently become official. Team Desire will defend the championship against both Twisted & Sadistic and Light in the Darkness. Usually Glory Braddock hates triple threats. In fact, it was a triple threat that she and Lohan lost the titles in without being pinned. That always bothered her. This time will be different because it is elimination style. If they indeed fail, at least this time they’ll have to be beaten legitimately and The British Bombshell is just fine with that. The road towards Rise To Greatness doesn’t get any easier. In one of the final stops before the big dance, Braddock and Lohan will be tested against the upstart Shining Maidens. Matches like this easily can become trap matches and Glory knows this, as does Brittany. They’ve been riding a wave of momentum since their victories at Taking The Leap and then Taking Hold of the Flame. But the Shining Maidens have been riding a wave of momentum too, largely off of their leader YUYO’s recent wins. This is not the time or place to overlook an opponent. Twisted & Sadistic have to be committed to victory. Commitment is the one thing that Glory Braddock had always prided herself on having; if nothing else, she was committed. Whenever she set her mind to a cause, whenever she set a goal, she would focus on that cause, on that goal, and would never waver. The British Bombshell had always prided herself on that fact. Yet these past few weeks, especially since the lead up to Taking Hold of the Flame, Braddock has found her own commitment called into question. The commitment being questioned was her commitment to her marriage. This came about when Braddock reunited her husband, Kurt Logan, and Kurt’s sister Katherine with their mother, Jean Logan. Everything went off without a hitch until Braddock was alone with Jean. It was then that Jean called into question Braddock’s commitment to her marriage. Ordinarily she would just ignore such an accusation. Glory and Kurt have been married for a long time now. But their marriage has been far from happy. She cannot ignore the fact that she did cheat on him once. Yes, they managed to endure it. They salvaged their marriage. But the knowledge that the affair happened is still there. It brings doubt into Glory’s mind about her own commitment. Jean also pointed out that Glory did not take Kurt’s last name. It may be a minor thing but combined with the affair, it brings doubt into Glory’s mind. Her marriage isn’t the only thing that Glory questions. She is the owner of a successful company. Is she truly committed to that business when Glory doesn’t even run it anymore, she has handed the task of running the business to other people? Even her own wrestling career. She thought if nothing else she was truly committed to tag team wrestling but some have called into question her commitment either to the tag team division itself or to her own wrestling career. Some claim Glory isn’t in this to help the tag team division but to just enhance her already impressive resume. Others, like Xander Valentine, have questioned her commitment in the opposite sense, arguing that Glory is settling for tag team success as opposed to a singles career. All of these voices, all of these doubts whispering into her ear, they make Glory doubt herself, question her commitments. Is Jean Logan right about The British Bombshell? Is she not as committed as she would like to think? This is what brings her to this opulent home in Orlando, Florida, specifically in a spacious, modernistic style living room adorned with sleek and expensive furniture that has subtle touches of contemporary art adorning the walls. The room’s large windows let in enough natural light to illuminate the off-white walls to highlight the elegant decoration of the room. Seated on one of the plush, comfortable sofa is none other than Glory Braddock. The British Bombshell’s long blonde hair cascades down her shoulders, her eyes are bright and expressive, reflecting a keen intelligence and a warm, inviting personality. She is dressed in a very feminine, casual outfit that perfectly complements her style. A soft pink blouse with delicate lace trim accentuates her figure, while a matching pink skirt flows gently to her knees, adding a touch of whimsy to her ensemble. Her outfit is completed with a pair of elegant, nude-colored flats, adding a hint of practicality to her otherwise dainty appearance. Her makeup is minimal yet effective, highlighting her natural beauty with a touch of blush and a hint of gloss on her lips. Seated across from Glory is a woman with whom she is indelibly tied, a woman who craves control and, appropriately enough, Glory doesn’t mind letting her have the control in their unique relationship. This is Aphrodite Noel. Her brunette hair is sleek and straight, falling just past her shoulders with a natural shine. Aphrodite is dressed in a feminine yet modern attire that includes tailored pants, emphasizing her polished style. She wears a pair of high-waisted, charcoal gray trousers that elongate her silhouette, paired with a fitted, white blouse that has intricate embroidery along the neckline and cuffs. The blouse is tucked in neatly, accentuating her waist and giving her a refined look. She completes her outfit with a pair of black, pointed-toe heels that add a touch of elegance to her appearance. Her makeup is understated yet chic, with a focus on bold, defined eyebrows and a classic red lip. This relationship between Glory and Aphrodite is another one that has been called into question; not by Jean or anyone else, but by Glory herself. The more Braddock thought about her many commitments, or lack thereof, the more she thought about Aphrodite. This is a woman who Glory had devoted herself to. She began as a teacher, a mentor, but the relationship grew to a point where Aphrodite filled a void missing in Glory’s life; she became a mother figure for The British Bombshell. In fact, Glory began to acknowledge her as mother and Aphrodite acknowledged Glory as her daughter. Despite this closeness, it is still a relationship that Glory keeps very private, very quiet. It is almost as if she ashamed of it. Is she not as committed to her as she would like to be? “Was the trip here pleasant, Gloria?” “Huh?” Glory was lost in thought. Aphrodite’s question caught her off guard. Aphrodite smiles warmly and repeats herself. “Your trip. Was it pleasant?” “Oh…yes, it was fine, Mother.” “Are you sure?” Noel asks curiously. “You certainly do not sound as if everything is fine. I know you have spent an awful lot of time on the road with SCW and when you’re not on the road you’ve been in London. In fact, it seems as if you haven’t been back here to Florida in quite a long time. Is everything quite alright, daughter?” “Oh of course it is.” Glory forces a smile on her face. “It’s just that I have had a graduating class recently at my father’s wrestling school. You know how important it is to me that I try to attend the final lessons of each graduating class.” “I know.” Aphrodite nods her head. “The time and effort you put into making that school succeed even beyond the life of your late father is truly inspirational.” “I don’t know…” Glory shrugs “...I mean, I only show up for the final lessons. The rest of the time I leave the school to be run by my trainers, and by my sister. Is it really commitment when others are doing the work for you? It’s the same with my business; Glorious Golden Enterprise.” She points a finger at Aphrodite. “I put you in charge of it, Mother. You and Frances keep the company operational for me and I do…well…” she sighs and shakes her head “...I do next to nothing. I’m not committed. I’m just taking advantage of you.” “Oh don’t be ridiculous.” Aphrodite scoffs. “You and your sister gave me something I have always wanted; a family. You did that when you two willingly became my daughters. You did that for me, why wouldn’t I want to help you in return? Besides…” she winks “...that’s what a Mother does for her children.” “I suppose…” Glory’s voice trails off. Aphrodite tilts her head to one side and studies Glory carefully. She can tell that her adopted daughter is bothered by something. She’s just not sure what. “Something is bothering you.” Aphrodite states stoically. “I can tell. What’s wrong?” “Nothing.” Glory shakes her head. “It’s nothing, Mother. Nothing you should concern yourself with.” “Nonsense.” Aphrodite rises up to her feet. She motions for Glory to do the same. “Follow me. We are going to get some wine and you are going to tell me everything.” “But…” “I insist.” Aphrodite’s voice is more commanding this time. Glory feels obligated to do as she is told. She rises up to her feet. “Yes, Mother.” Leaving the elegant living room, Glory Braddock follows Aphrodite into a spacious, modern kitchen and dining room combo area. The kitchen is a masterpiece of contemporary design, with sleek, high-gloss white cabinetry that reflects the natural light streaming in from large windows. The countertops are made of pristine, polished marble, with subtle gray veining that adds a touch of sophistication. A large, central island stands as the focal point of the kitchen, topped with the same luxurious marble and equipped with a state-of-the-art induction cooktop and a built-in wine cooler. The island also features a breakfast bar with stylish, high-backed stools, upholstered in a soft gray fabric that complements the overall color scheme. Braddock hops up onto one of the stools in time to find Aphrodite pouring her a glass of wine. Aphrodite pours herself a glass of wine and sits down on a stool next to Glory. “Tell me, what’s bothering you? Is it Light in the Darkness?” She sighs and shakes her head. “I swear those two whiny brats are nothing but trouble!” “No…” Glory chuckles and shakes her head “...Amelia and Luz are NOT trouble and it has nothing to do with them.” “Brittany then!” Noel sneers. “I knew she was a bad influence on you, Gloria. Let me deal with her and…” “Britt and I are fine.” Glory insists. “We are definitely on the same page. Hell, despite all of the chaos from Taking the Leap to Taking Hold of the Flame and then Team Desire winning the tag titles throwing another wrench into our plans, the one consistent thing has been Twisted & Sadistic. We have been on the same page and are ready for whatever Rise To Greatness may bring us.” “CHBK!” Noel snaps. “How dare he book you in a tag match this close to Rise To Greatness?!” “Calm down.” Glory chuckles. “He did it to Luz and Amelia too. Besides, we need to stay ready and a match against the Shining Maidens is a great way to stay in shape.” “Then what is the problem?” Aphrodite asks curiously as she sips her wine. “It isn’t easy to explain. I mean…do you think I have a problem with commitment?” “Commitment?” Aphrodite laughs at the notion of Glory having commitment issues. “You, of all people, you have no problems with commitment. In fact, sometimes I believe you are TOO committed. Honestly, if I had been you, daughter, I would have ditched your so-called ‘partners’ at Taking Hold of the Flame and focused entirely on the battle royal itself. Your performance that night was incredible. You lasted over fifty minutes. Had you not been already winded from that silly tag team match earlier, you could have won the flame and become number one contender to the SCW World Championship.” She points a finger at Glory. “But you…you were committed to the tag team division, you were committed to playing your part. And at least you are being rewarded for that with a shot at the tag team championship. Believe me, Gloria, commitment is NOT your problem.” “Some people think it is a problem.” “Who?” Aphrodite asks incredulously. “Who thinks my daughter lacks commitment?” “Jean Logan.” Glory states. “My mother-in-law.” “Didn’t you reunite her with her children?” “I did. I thought I was doing everyone a favor.” Glory sighs. “But when Jean and I were alone, she questioned my commitment, specifically my commitment to her son, my husband Kurt.” “That’s nonsense!” “Is it?” Glory asks. “I did cheat on him, Mother. But that was just the beginning. Her questioning of my faithfulness to Kurt led me questioning my commitment in general. Like I mentioned earlier, I own my own company but I am not committed enough to it to run it. I own a wrestling school but I am not committed enough to it to run it. And then there’s Twisted & Sadistic…” her voice trails off. “I thought you said everything between you and Brittany were fine?” “They are but now that I’m questioning myself, now that I doubt my commitment, I am being hear the critics more and more; am I really in this fight for the right reasons? Am I committed to the tag team division of SCW like Amelia and Luz or am I just in this to add another title to my record?” “My daughter…” Aphrodite smirks “...you had already achieved the tag team titles and Supreme Championship status. You could have went right back into the singles ranks and been an instant contender for singles gold again. But you remained with Brittany, you wanted to remain in the tag team ranks. If that doesn’t equate to commitment then I do not know what does.” “Yes, but…” her voice trails off. “What is it?” “...what about you…and Britt?” Glory asks. “I’m not sure I follow.” Aphrodite states, seeming to be rather confused. “This tag team started as a friendship, mutual respect, between myself and Britt. When we went after the tag team titles of SCW, you decided to intervene, you decided to get involved. You wanted to call the shots.” “I only wanted to help.” Aphrodite says. “I knew how much the Supreme Championship meant to you.” “Yes, and I let you become a part of this, because I knew you only wanted what was best for me. But you and Britt have vastly different visions for Twisted & Sadistic. Hell, you have different ideas of who I need to be if Twisted & Sadistic are to regain the tag team titles. I have been trying to keep you two apart as much as possible but I know one day you two are going to butt heads again. When that day comes who will be I committed to? My best friend, my longest running tag team partner in my career?” She sighs. “Or to my Mother?” “Ah, I see.” Aphrodite finishes her wine and then steps down off of the stool. She walks over to Glory and pats her comfortingly on the back. “There’s no need to worry about that now, Gloria. That may not even happen.” “It will happen.” Glory nods her head. “I’m sure it will.” “It may not happen. I know I would never force you to choose. Just remember…” she leans down to whisper into her ear “...I love you, my daughter.” “I love you too, Mother.” Glory whispers back quietly. ========== On Camera ========== Competition. That’s what this sport is all about. It’s about two wrestlers, or two teams, stepping into the center of the ring to see who is the very best this business has to offer and for the longest time, there has been quite the debate circulating over who is currently the best tag team in Supreme Championship Wrestling. Most would have argued it would be Light in the Darkness. They’ve been the reigning champions for quite awhile now. But don’t forget the one team that owns a few victories over them, the one team that they have yet to beat; that’d be me and Brittany Lohan. Twisted & Sadistic. Ideally we would have hoped to settle that debate once and for all after we earned a rematch for our tag team titles by winning the contender’s match at Taking the Leap. Unfortunately delays got in the way and then the ultimate monkey wrench was thrown into the equation. Team Desire, the Stewards, managed to wrestle the titles away from Amelia and Luz. Congrats, Katie and Gigi. I’m being sincere. Light in the Darkness are a damn tough team to beat. And Katie, becoming Supreme Champion on top of it all, that also deserves some major props. But this certainly changes Rise To Greatness. Now it will once again be three teams battling for the titles. Another nightmare scenario like that one from Retribution? No, definitely not, because this time it will be elimination rules. This time the element of competition is truly in play. It isn’t one fall to a finish. So all three teams have an even and fair shot. So if you were expecting complaints from me, then you’re going to be disappointed. Quite frankly, Gigi and Katie belong here just as much as me, Britt, Amelia, and Luz belong here. One of these three teams will prove to be the best tag teams in SCW today by beating the other two and walking away with the gold. That is what competition is all about. If you were expecting me to complain about competing against The Shining Maidens so soon before Rise To Greatness then once again you will be disappointed. Like I said, this is all about competition and it is all about proving that Supreme Championship Wrestling has the best tag team division in the world today. Me and Britt, Twisted & Sadistic, we are committed to the tag team division. We are committed to doing whatever we can to elevate the tag team division. This may have began as my quest to achieve the Supreme Championship but it has grown to being much more than that. Britt and I have had a unique relationship that started out as bitter rivals and grew to a close friendship. We have held tag team gold everywhere we have been and that includes right here in SCW. Now we’re matched up against a Crimson Demonic Princess and a Radiant Angelica Princess. Damn, that’s a lot of monarchy in SCW. Your tag team, like ours, is built upon friendship. I can respect that. Almost all of the teams I have been a part of began as a friendship…except for Britt, we started as rivals, but that’s beside the point. But make no mistake about it, Maidens, we are not overlooking you. We are not looking past you. And we damn sure are not going into this just curious about who the hell you are. We know who you are. You have been killing it in SCW since your return. You have been beating top names. Anyone who would look past you should be considered an idiot. I’m just being blunt but it’s the truth. Britt and I are not foolish enough to overlook you. Now I won’t speak for Britt, but to even THINK that someone like me would look at you two as just “cannon fodder” as your mouthpiece eloquently put it, well that’s equally as foolish. I am a second generation wrestler. I am a Supreme Champion in SCW. I was raised by one of the greatest wrestlers I ever knew, my father Glenn Braddock, and he taught me to always do my homework and to treat each and every opponent as a deadly threat. That’s how I am approaching this match. I am approaching you as if you are a deadly threat to myself and Britt. Face it, you are a threat. You are a threat to the momentum we have built up since Taking the Leap. You are a threat to everything we have tried to create on our path towards Rise To Greatness. You are a team dangerous enough to play spoiler against anyone. We’re not going to let you play spoiler against us. You’re not going to get a version of Twisted & Sadistic looking for a warm up. You’re getting the championship level version of Twisted & Sadistic. So bring your explosions, your justice, and everything else you can muster to the table. You will need it because Twisted & Sadistic will bring our A-Game. We will bring Hell on Earth to you as we continue our march to Rise To Greatness. Welcome to the tag team division, Maidens. ![]() SCW World Champion 1x SCW United States Champion 1x
