OOC: Once again decided to do separate RPs for Luz and Amelia, both because of where their respective stories are at and for Luz's benefit since I also have her in the battle royal. This is Luz's effort, and not only do I recommend reading this one first in terms of chronological order as what happens in this CD sets up something in Amelia's CD that will be posted shortly, but I will also be posting this again in the battle royal thread to count for both matches.
----------------------------------
La Pequeña Luz felt like her entire world was shattering around her... and she had no idea what to do to save it.
For months now, Luz had watched her wife fall further and further into frustration, letting her setbacks eat away at her even though Luz knew, better than anybody, just how good Amelia truly was. They'd both been through rough patches but ultimately pulled themselves out of those ruts with one big win, and Amelia had done just that when she won the right to become number one contender to the World Title in her home country, even succeeding where Luz had failed when it came to Retribution, the pay-per-view that always seemed to haunt them.
She never knew just how far Amelia had seemed to fall... nor could she convince herself that any of it was real.
When Amelia had seemingly vanished after that Breakdown in Nashville two months ago, Luz had struggled to justify it. Worst case scenario, she figured Amelia was simply avoiding her out of fear and shame for whatever Luz thought about the reveal of her allegiance to Frank Delatosso and this 'new order' he was preaching now. It wasn't ideal, but Luz could at least understand and try to reassure Amelia that she didn't hold her frustrations against her.
Never, not even in Luz's absolute worst nightmares, did she ever think she would see the day Amelia Nevado would be among The Empire.
The only thought that made any sense in her mind was that Amelia had been abducted by them... but based on what little evidence she was working with, Amelia looked more like a willing member than someone who was under The Empire's banner by force.
Looking back on the past month or so, a lot of things finally began to click. While Amelia had been actively trying to avoid her backstage for the most part, how cold and distant she'd been couldn't have been the CEO's doing. Delatosso may have started fancying himself as the man who 'needed' to steer the ship in SCW, but not even he understood Amelia well enough to drag traces of her old self out. That was straight out of the playbook of The Empire's self-proclaimed lord.
Unfortunately for both of the manipulators that had gotten their hooks into her wife, La Pequeña Luz was never someone who backed down from a challenge, especially when someone she cared about was at the heart of the issue.
While this past Breakdown had made it clear to Luz that, despite what both she and Amelia had ended up claiming, there were some cracks in the foundation of The Light In The Darkness, as evidenced by the disjointed way they had ultimately beaten Hollywood, it also proved that Amelia wasn't beyond saving. Luz had seen it... the slight hesitations from Amelia whenever she was brought up, the contemplation over the fact that Luz was still willingly trying to support her and give her the moment she'd earned, the fact that Amelia had listened to her and let go of some of her frustration when Luz tagged herself into the match.
It was subtle, but Luz's haphazard idea of a plan was working, and she couldn't afford to give up now, regardless of what she'd seen.
In order to make the next crucial step a reality, however, she would have to overcome her most daunting challenge yet... and hope Amelia understood why she was doing this.
First, she needed to help Amelia retain her World Championship, and try to secure their record-tying fourth reign as World Tag Team Champions together in the process, by dealing with the Glimmer Sisters and their deranged challenge. The only thing Luz would honestly give Gia and Gina credit for is screwing up any plans Delatosso had to try and keep her and Amelia completely separated, because by forcing this scenario with Gina's Trios contract all just because their egos couldn't comprehend that she and Amelia had earned their status and reputation, it gave Luz the opportunity she'd been hoping for to finally try to communicate with her wife and repair that rift that had formed between them.
It wasn't perfect as she'd been unable to get a private moment to try and discuss everything, and she wondered if Delatosso was onto her or just trying to play nice with her to prove his claims of 'opportunities for all who've earned it' true, but it was an in she had to make the most of while she had it.
She just wished her next match teaming with Amelia didn't have to be in their underwear... for that, the Glimmers might actually find out what happens when Luz stops being the ball of sunshine and hope she's always prided herself on being.
Once that mess was behind her and Amelia had her place in the Rise to Greatness main event, the next half of the challenge needed to see Luz claim the spot in that match as Amelia's challenger. To do that, she was going to have to push through whatever the Glimmers do to her and successfully pull off a daunting task that she'd come nowhere close to doing before: winning the Taking Hold of the Flame battle royal.
At least she'd be able to wrestle that match while wearing proper attire.
Obviously, that was quite the challenge for anybody to pull off, considering she would have to overcome 39 other wrestlers all fighting for the same thing... but that was where she believed her edge lie. Everyone else in this match was fighting solely for a World Title shot and the honor of main eventing Rise to Greatness. While she'd be more than happy to lay claim to both herself, they were secondary to the primary reason she felt she had to win this match, and that was getting Amelia in the ring one-on-one.
“Wrestling helped work before,” she told herself. “It's what brought us together and helped us understand one another, and if I can make this happen, I know I can get through to her again and bring her back.”
She could sound more confident in the idea, but Luz knew she was working against a lot of unknowns here. There were the obvious ones, such as when she'd enter the battle royal or who would enter the match that hadn't been publicly confirmed yet, or even how she'd be feeling after fighting to complete phase one of this plan first. But then there was the unknown only she knew about that haunted the back of her mind: just how deep in Caleb's clutches was Amelia?
“No, don't think for a second he's completely changed her,” Luz shook her head to exile that thought from her brain. “You got through to her when she was completely under her parents' thumb for years... that psicópata has had her for nowhere near as long and I know she's still in there somewhere.”
Luz paced back and forth in front of the whiteboard she'd set up in her D.C. hotel room at some point, which she knew had drawn some concern since Luz was usually never a planner to this degree and had already admitted that this particular plan may as well have been held together by duct tape and fragments of hope. The only reason no one in her found family had done anything about it was because Luz had explained it was to help her brain focus on exactly what she needed to do to hopefully pull this off, and given that everyone was well aware by now she had ADHD, it was a sound and responsible argument on her part.
That still didn't stop them from checking in on her and making sure she hadn't started spiraling herself, and a knock at her door snapped her out of her thoughts. She could only sigh and chuckle to herself, feeling a little annoyed but grateful that everyone was trying to look out for her... as well as guilty over the thought that she hadn't tried hard enough to keep Amelia from slipping to this low point.
Of all the people she'd expected to see standing on the other side when she opened the door, Paul hadn't been one of them. Maybe it was still the shock of seeing him again after he'd abruptly left them to supposedly make sure his family (which he'd never mentioned having until that day) was alright, maybe it was still the weird feeling she couldn't quite identify whenever he was around, but it didn't change the fact that she just didn't think for a second he'd be willing to check up on her. Seeing him here now was a pleasant surprise... or at least, she hoped it was pleasant, considering he'd been the one to break the news about Amelia's place in The Empire now.
“Can I help you with something, Paul?” she asked.
“My apologies Luz,” he bowed his head a bit. “I just wanted to check up on you and see how you were doing. I... can't imagine the bad news I shared a few days ago has been sitting well with you.”
“It hasn't,” Luz honestly admitted, “but it also hasn't derailed my efforts. If anything, it's made me more determined than ever to try and figure out what's going on so I can help Amelia back from the edge.”
It had been strange enough that Paul hadn't apologized for sharing the news about Amelia to her, as human beings naturally felt inclined to do because no one wanted to be the bearer of bad news and see someone hurting because of it, but she also didn't miss the confused look he gave her over her response.
“That's quite...” he seemed to stumble a bit in figuring out what he wanted to say to that. “Some would probably call that stubborn.”
“Maybe,” Luz shrugged, “but I've never been one to give up on people. If I do, then they're truly lost, and I know the woman I love is still in there, no matter what Caleb thinks he's probably done to her.”
“...may I come in?” Paul asked, almost coming off like he wanted to change the subject all of a sudden.
Luz contemplated for a moment before she stepped aside and let him in, though she decided to leave the door open just in case. She hated not fully trusting Paul, but too much about the guy just didn't add up despite the kindness she'd showed him and she wasn't about to lose the ability to call for help if she needed it. For his part, Paul seemed to focus primarily on the whiteboard where the next phase of Luz's 'plan' had been scribbled into existence.
“This is... quite a daunting task you've burdened yourself with,” he admitted. “Are you sure you'll be able to-”
Paul had started turning to face Luz again as he spoke, but he cut himself off when his eyes landed on the bed. Luz, for her part, felt her face go crimson beneath her mask as she quickly dove towards the bed, grabbing the lingerie she'd had laid out and cramming it into her bag with an embarrassed laugh. The lingerie wasn't anything that screamed 'sexy' and probably wasn't going to win her and Amelia the contest portion of the mortifying nightmare that awaited her in Las Vegas, and she wished she didn't even need to devote any thought to that at all, but it still embarrassed her that she'd forgotten to pack it up before letting someone else into her room.
“Lo siento,” she shakily apologized. “I forgot I had that out...”
Paul just gave her a look that could only be labeled as pure disgust, but he let out a pained sigh and turned his gaze back to the whiteboard. “I wish I hadn't seen that, but I also wish you and Amelia didn't even need to compete in such revealing attire. It's unbecoming of a woman to show so much of herself to strangers, and SCW should have outright declined such an ill-fitting display.”
“Believe me, if I had any say in this matter, I wouldn't touch this match with a 5000 foot pole,” Luz tried to reassure him, her own disgust over the Lingerie Showdown leaking through. “Like it or not, though, Trios contracts are ironclad and the Board rarely says no to any idea, especially one as... ugh... unique as this.”
“It's truly sad the way this world is,” Paul lamented. “Women being forced to flaunt themselves against their will, women who willingly show themselves off and call it empowerment, those who hide their true intentions from the people who care about them and are led astray-”
“Hey!” Luz suddenly snapped, startling Paul a bit. “I don't know how Amelia ended up in The Empire's clutches, but there's only one person to blame for that and it's their narcissistic leader and his god complex.”
“Are you quite sure about that, Luz?” Paul questioned. “Hasn't she been lashing out at you all year, frustrated over her failures and your successes? Isn't she the crown jewel of this 'new order' formed by SCW's CEO? And, if I read the 'rules' of this match correctly... don't you risk sending her even deeper into this proverbial abyss if you score the win and take that World Title from her?”
Luz felt her hands trembling as Paul dug rather deep with these theories of his, her skin crawling because he wasn't exactly wrong. He may have been trying to blame Amelia for all of this, but it ignited the embers deep in Luz's mind of how much of this she felt was her own fault for not trying to do something sooner. The inferno that resulted, however, resulted in Luz suddenly standing up and getting in Paul's face as best as she could, given how much taller he was compared to her.
“That's enough!” she yelled, something that definitely caught Paul off-guard. “I know Amelia far better than you do... you're not wrong, but you're also not right either, and you're starting to really cross a line again, Paul. Yeah, that risk is real, but I do not plan on letting this match end any other way than Amelia being the one who leaves as World Champion. I'll have plenty more chances to reach the top of the mountain, but you and everyone in SCW don't understand that this isn't about me! And before you bring up the battle royal... yeah, I plan to win, and if I beat Amelia for the World Title at Rise to Greatness, then so be it. But I'm not doing this to outshine her... I'm doing this because wrestling her is my best chance to save her, and I will do whatever it takes to make that happen! The biggest stage, the brightest spotlight, the highest stakes... no excuses, nothing but the very best we know we can give each other. I have to make that a reality... even if I have to put up with wrestling in an uncomfortable situation to do it, even if I have to survive a test of endurance the likes of which I've never faced before. I would walk through Hell itself if I had to for the woman who means everything to me!”
Luz felt her fury starting to lose steam as she took deep, heavy breaths, turning away from Paul to let him really think about her words. Luz never snapped like that... not without good reason, and for as much as she wanted to give Paul the benefit of the doubt, he was pushing her to a place she really didn't want to be right now... but knew she might have to be in order to get the results she wanted at Taking Hold of the Flame, be one step closer to fixing everything.
“My apologies, Luz,” Paul said, though Luz wasn't so lost in her emotions that she missed the strange tone to his voice. “I was just concerned for you is all, and I just don't want you to get hurt. I can see how much this means to you, and I want to help however I can... even if that means helping you win this showdown thing. Perhaps it would help if you considered leaving your mask-”
Paul never got the chance to finish that sentence.
Any good luchador had a sixth sense when it came to their mask, as it was an integral part of the identity they built for themselves in the culture of lucha libre and Mexico as a whole. You always had to be prepared to defend yourself against anybody wanting to see beneath it... and that instinct had Luz seizing Paul's hand before it got anywhere near the laces before she threw a back elbow with her other arm, sending Paul stumbling back. Still, even though Paul absolutely deserved it for getting caught red-handed trying to mess with her mask, Luz still felt bad that she'd hit him in the first place.
She opened her mouth to apologize to him... only for her words to die in her throat as Paul pulled himself together. Except... it wasn't Paul's face that was staring back at her. The long brown hair, the bushy beard... they'd been knocked askew. There was a familiar scar across the bridge of his nose that hadn't been there before, no longer hidden beneath makeup. Everything suddenly made sense... the attempts to 'help' that sounded more like subtle gaslighting, the insistence on being involved in things that didn't concern him, the overall uncomfortable feeling whenever he was around...
“...Caleb White...” Luz managed to say, her blood running cold as she locked eyes with The Empire's leader... and the man who had been masquerading as a target of theirs for almost a year now.
“Well...” Caleb huffed, no longer using an over-exaggerated version of his British accent as he slowly pulled the fake hair off his head. “Bravo, Luz, you've uncovered the truth. You even know before Amelia figured it out. Although... she did get close. It must be painful, knowing your wife made such a reckless mistake that put everyone in danger and choosing to keep you in the dark anyway.”
Luz wanted to respond, tried to force herself to respond, but it felt like her body had been struck by lightning. She could feel all of her nerves on fire, her legs shaking, her hatred torn between the man who was trying to destroy her life for his own 'salvation' and herself for being stupid enough to let any of this happen.
'Had Amelia truly known? Is that why she...?'
Before Luz could begin to spiral, she saw Caleb casually moving towards the door. He was saying something, probably gloating in that self-righteous tone of his, but Luz didn't hear any of it... all she could focus on was the fact that he thought he was just going to walk away after he'd broken whatever hope she was still clinging to.
“Hey!” she yelled, cutting off whatever she was saying as she lunged for him. Caleb quickly stepped out of the room and booked it down the hall, moving surprisingly fast for a man his age. Luz pursued him like a wild animal, refusing to let him get away after everything he'd done as she chased him all the way down the stairs and into the front lobby, which immediately grabbed the attention of everyone there... including her loved ones.
They tried to ask her what was going on, tried to even stop her, but she couldn't hear them. She was hellbent on making sure Caleb didn't get away, and as soon as they saw The Empire leader trying to flee, they moved to help her without question.
Unfortunately, Caleb wasn't going to let his plans be ruined any further as he tossed something behind himself, which detonated in a thick black cloud of smoke that obscured him. While that slowed down the others, that didn't stop Luz from barreling through the smoke and lunging... only to grab nothing as she tumbled onto the sidewalk. She looked around frantically, but unfortunately, Caleb had managed to escape, and she could only pound the pavement and let out the most heart-wrenching scream anyone had ever heard from her.
“Luz?” she heard Avery asked as all but Darius and Evie carefully approached her, concern etched all over their faces as the other two NCA agents worked to clear the smoke and make sure anyone else in the lobby was alright.
“There was no Paul...” she finally choked out in a voice that tore at everyone's hearts. “He was Caleb all along... and I let him be one of us... I was just trying to... to...”
She couldn't keep going after that, and no one could blame her. This revelation rocked all of them, and even those who suspected Paul of being an Empire spy never once thought it was actually their leader himself getting his hands dirty... taking advantage of Luz's trust and caring nature.
She may have been devastated, but what Caleb didn't realize is that he didn't break La Pequeña Luz on this night... he only ignited an inferno that was more determined than ever to make things right.
Even if it meant letting the flame consume her to fix this mess... fix the mess that she felt responsible for.

OOC: And here's my first for Amelia.
----------------------------------
Somehow, despite all her recent success and the effort she'd been putting in, Amelia Nevado found herself more frustrated than ever before.
A lot of that had to do with SCW, partly because she still didn't feel like she was getting the recognition she deserved. The hard work she had been putting in to prove she truly did belong at the very top almost felt irrelevant because everyone seemed to care more about how she'd 'sold her soul' and completely ignored how her focus was solely on proving herself, just as she had without any help at Hubris. She had nothing to do with what Mr. Delatosso and the rest of the New Order, as they were apparently called now, had done to CHBK... part of her even resented it, despite the issues she'd had with how often it felt like he overlooked her in favor of Luz.
Even those who didn't have an issue with her over that still claimed they deserved the World Title more than her purely because of all their past wins over her... and yet, they were the ones who claimed she was obsessed with defeating them, to her own detriment, and refused to give her the chance to get those wins they wanted her to prove she was capable of because they'd all 'moved on' from her.
The hypocrisy around her made her sick... even her own hypocrisy that she was fully aware of and trying to ignore. But none felt more defined by this word and made Amelia furious quite like the Glimmer Sisters.
Her skin crawled at the fact that all her hard work to get to the top, regardless of how people felt about some of her choices, wasn't going to matter at Taking Hold of the Flame. Gina's Trios contract had essentially turned both the World Title and the World Tag Titles that, even now, still meant so much to her into a sickening display that had no place in today's wrestling industry. If Gina and Gia wanted to flaunt their tits and asses and earn hollow attention, that was their choice. But Amelia and Luz? They weren't getting a choice in the matter. Like it or not, they were going to be forced to present themselves in a similar manner all so the Glimmers could laugh and try to humiliate them before using every trick in the book to try and leave Las Vegas with a victory they did not deserve. All that talk of respecting consent as ambassadors of KABLAMia, and here they were not even allowing for consent from two women who clearly wanted no part in this and respected themselves and this business far too much to willingly put up with displays like this. Amelia was better than this... Luz was better than this!
Luz... her wife... the woman she had literally walked into the lion's den for, hoping to resolve their greatest problem before she found out.
Amelia felt guilty about the way she snapped at Luz before storming off after she'd clocked one of the twins. Yeah, none of it was like her, but she knew Luz was barely restraining herself as well for the sake of the image she'd crafted as a luchadora to do like Amelia had done... an image that the Glimmers were also spitting in the face of despite letting Luz keep her mask for the Lingerie Showdown out of 'respect' for her culture. She also felt guilty because she knew Luz had been trying throughout that entire show to get her alone to talk, and she didn't have to be a genius to know what the topic was. That had been part of the reason she stormed out of the Capital One Arena immediately after the two of them had defeated Hollywood... despite it not being their most cohesive outing as a team, which weighed just as heavily on her mind.
While Amelia's blood boiled in response to everything the Glimmer Sisters had been trying to drag them into, there was one person who still angered her even more than they could... and it was the man who was supposed to be her 'lord' now.
Ever since she had been tipped off that Luz now knew that she was part of The Empire, Amelia had been hellbent on getting answers out of Caleb White. Yeah, maybe it wasn't the wisest decision as she knew she was putting herself at great risk showing such defiance while surrounded by the cult that had made her and Luz's lives hell for the past few years, but technically, Caleb had broken their deal and Amelia felt she was owed an explanation. She had dreaded how Luz would react to the discovery, and the fact that Luz had not only remained professional on Breakdown but was even giving her the space to have her moment had her feeling both touched and confused, but it was how she'd found out that infuriated Amelia above all else.
She'd struck a deal with an actual devil, one far beyond any monster Frank Delatosso could portray himself as, and her terms were clear: if Caleb pulled his spy that had infiltrated their found family and took advantage of Luz's kind heart, then she would finally give in.
So why was said spy now back among her loved ones and selling her out, knowing full well how it would likely affect Luz?
Unfortunately, the only person who could give her the answers she deserved had conveniently been missing for the past several days. The only answer she could get out of the elites was that Caleb had 'business he needed to tend to' but refused to elaborate further, despite her supposedly being an elite just like them and therefore privy to the same information they got. None of the other Empire members who were hanging around as security knew anything either, only that Caleb had left the hotel while she'd been out saying her piece for the match with Hollywood, the only new detail being that Caleb had insisted he do whatever he was up to alone.
She didn't care if Caleb actually was up to something else now... the timing was too perfect, and he was absolutely avoiding having to divulge anything to her.
'Did you expect anything less from the man selling the lie that he's going to cleanse humanity of all its sins?'
Amelia hissed to herself as she heard that mocking tone from a voice that sounded so much like hers it made her want to throw up. She'd been pacing around her hotel room in Washington, D.C. the day after Breakdown, racking her brain over everything that had been plaguing her and trying to figure out how to proceed before she blew a gasket, and the irritatingly perfect timing of Other Amelia deciding to chime in absolutely did not help her mental state.
“At least we can agree on that,” Amelia huffed as she glared at her reflection, her perception once again warped enough by her growing frustrations that she could see Other Amelia smirking at her in the nearby mirror, taunting her without needing to say anything to see if she'd rack up a bill of damages for her new 'friends' to have to pay off.
'Surely you knew he wasn't going to keep his word,' Other Amelia teased. 'You were already planning on trying to back stab a backstabber... mother would be so proud of you.'
“And mom also fell for all his lies and generous offers despite being such a manipulative bitch herself,” Amelia fired back, which seemed to catch her inner critic off guard a little bit. She didn't even comment on the rare instance of Amelia actually swearing, but Amelia knew the peace and quiet in her head wasn't going to last.
'Why are you even so angry about this?' Other Amelia tried to change the topic a bit. 'Even if you actually believed Caleb would keep his word, Luz was going to find out sooner or later anyway. You've already hurt her by hiding things from her and this wasn't going to fix that. Why do you ever care so much about her-'
“Because she deserves better!” Amelia snapped, silencing her inner critic once again.
Amelia knew that shouting as loud as she did was bound to attract attention, though whether or not anybody in The Empire was going to ignore Caleb's orders and check on her was up for debate, especially since the last person who made that decision turned out to be a lingering fragment of the splinter cell and was probably dead in a ditch somewhere, as horrified as she was at that mental image.
“Luz has given me everything,” Amelia tried to justify to herself. “She helped me find my way out from under my parents and their stupid obsession with an unrivaled family legacy, she showed me that I could live my own life... she even tried to help me see that I could stand on my own two feet and reach the heights I'm at now, even when I hated her for finding a way to succeed when I kept falling short. Luz is the kindest person I've ever met... she deserves a chance to live a happy life without any of this Empire garbage haunting her... even if that means she never forgives me for betraying her like this, I can at least give her a brighter future.”
Amelia found herself taking deep breaths, her body trembling as she ripped out her own heart and laid her soul bare in that hotel room, with only her biggest critic to bear witness to it. She wasn't going to deny how much it hurt to think of a future for herself without Luz in it, but ever since she learned that Luz now knew, she could only fear the worst and do her best to give Luz what she deserved, even if that meant completely losing herself in the process.
The tense silence after that raw admission was broken by a cruel laugh, in her own voice no less. Amelia had to fight to pull her gaze back to the mirror, where Other Amelia had almost completely lost any sense of 'proper young lady' she'd tried to portray as the belief of what she should've been all along, laughing her head off like she'd completely lost her mind. Which... given the circumstances, that assessment probably wasn't too far off in regards to Amelia as a whole, to be honest.
'You're willing to sacrifice everything for her?' her inner critic cackled. 'You talk about how she deserves better when she's knocking on the door to get that by TAKING it from YOU! As much as I hate this Lingerie Showdown garbage you're stuck having to do, I paid attention to the fine print, princess. Those whores listed, clear as day, that whoever scores the fall wins the World Title... meaning Luz could put an end to everything you worked so hard for all just by trying to help you. And even if you're smart enough to make sure that you score that fall... surely you've noticed that her name's in the battle royal, right? What happens if she wins and goes on to meet you at Rise to Greatness? Do you think she'll care about you then, when the top prize everyone says she deserves is right there for the taking?'
Amelia bit her bottom lip, not even realizing that she'd bitten down so hard she ended up drawing blood. She clenched her shaking fists, trying with all of her might to keep from smashing the mirror and giving her inner critic the satisfaction of a win... but she probably already knew it. She wasn't wrong about anything she'd told her, because Amelia had caught that little detail when all the rules had been laid out. Maybe she'd tried to ignore it by trusting in Luz not to want to do that to her or become World Champion that way, but the fact that Luz had also thrown her name into the battle royal and a Rise to Greatness main event between them was a very real possibility...
Before she knew it, Amelia was opening her door and rushing out into the hallway, desperate for some fresh air and to be away from her smug inner voice. She knew that was physically impossible, unfortunately, but she needed to do anything to try and kick these thoughts from her brain, refusing to see Luz as someone who would care more for success and gold than the woman she loved... even though she had tried to convince herself that was the case not too long ago, and even though she was arguably guilty of actually making that mistake.
“When did I let myself become as jaded and lost as Selena?” she couldn't help but say to herself as she quickly moved down the hallway, feeling guilty now as the memory of just how broken Selena looked after she had choked her out to get here flashed through her mind. She had absolutely deserved the reality check for some of the things she had said and done, but... Amelia didn't even know if she had the right to ask Deanna or try to track down Selena herself, or even see if Luz knew anything.
Before she knew it, Amelia found herself stopping, and before she could question why her feet weren't responding to her brain anymore, she realized that she was standing in front of the room that Caleb was supposed to be staying in. If nothing else, it was just the distraction her brain desperately needed as she reminded herself of everything Caleb owed her an explanation for, and she raised her hand to knock and demand to know-
“Our lord still hasn't returned yet.”
Amelia's attention snapped away from the door towards the smug voice that had stopped her, the familiar grin of Adrian Verner making her skin crawl as he leaned against the wall nearby like he owned this hotel. She wouldn't be surprised if he thought he did, given that no longer having to be her parents' lawyer only seemed to make him feel even more entitled and arrogant.
“You know where he is,” Amelia said, more of a statement than a question.
“I might,” Adrian teased, “but I've been forbidden from telling you. Lord Caleb is in the middle of a very delicate operation and-”
He cut himself off and held up his hands defensively as Amelia started to approach him, almost as if acting on her frustrations and forgetting that she was supposed to be playing nice with these lunatics who had all bought into Caleb's holy hoax.
“Whoa now, hang on a second!” he begged. “Everything The Empire does is for good reason, and this is no different. I can promise you our lord will be back soon. In the meantime... I can help you. You want a way out of that disgusting match of yours at your next pay-per-view, right? I don't care how ironclad SCW claims those Trios contracts are, every contract has a loophole and no one's better at finding loopholes than yours truly!”
That stopped Amelia in her tracks, though she still looked about ready to lunge at Adrian and choke him out any second. As much as she always found the man to be a scumbag and felt sick at seeing some of the things he'd gotten her parents out of, the lawyer wasn't lying. His ability to find even the smallest loophole to exploit was matched only by his annoying flair for the dramatic, and if anybody could actually find a way to get this Lingerie Showdown canceled, it was Adrian Verner.
The only drawback would be that she wouldn't be able to team with Luz for maybe one more time... and for all she knew, Adrian could get her out of the match but leave Luz all alone to be humiliated by those harlots.
Before she could even give the conundrum any more thought, she heard the sound of someone stumbling up the stairs. That drew both hers and Adrian's attention, and after a moment, the very man Amelia had sold her soul to try and get rid of happened to emerge into the hallway, looking exhausted. She swore she heard some quip from Paul about being far too old, but she didn't give him a chance to get his bearings before she lunged at him, trying to ensnare him in something, anything, to both make him pay and make him talk.
“Gah! What are you- unhand me!” he shouted, his accent faltering a bit and giving way to a voice that sounded way too familiar, but it barely registered in Amelia's brain right now.
“Why did Caleb send you back in!?” she yelled at him. “Why are you doing all this? What is Caleb-”
Before Amelia could get any of the answers she was owed, she felt Adrian pull her off of Paul. While the lawyer was clearly not built to restrain a wrestler, especially one of her caliber, he had the element of surprise and the advantage of Amelia not thinking straight to give Paul some space to pull himself back to his feet.
It was only when she pulled herself from Adrian's grasp that she realized she was now holding a wig and a fake bushy beard in her hands... and the man towering over her now had a familiar head of sandy blonde hair and the kind of amused smile that made her blood run cold.
“Hello to you, too, Amelia,” Caleb said, brushing off the suit that had become synonymous with his spy and acting like she hadn't just tackled the man she was supposed to be serving now.
“Caleb!?” Amelia responded in disbelief, tossing the fake hair at his feet and watching him casually pick it up like it wasn't the key to the bombshell that just annihilated everything she thought she knew about this situation. “You... you were...?”
“Honestly, I'm surprised none of you picked up on it sooner,” Caleb grinned. “It was my brother's name, after all... a fitting tribute, if you ask me. But you did come oh so close to figuring it out, Amelia... you just couldn't quite find the final piece of the puzzle.”
“Why...?” Amelia asked as she stepped closer to Caleb. Adrian moved to try and restrain her again, but Caleb held up a hand that stopped him. “Why would you do this!?”
“I'll do anything to save humanity from the evils it brought upon itself,” was his response, in that same tone that would make almost anyone believe in how genuine he painted himself as. “That includes Luz... I can only truly achieve the forgiveness and salvation I deserve if I save the both of you.”
“We had a deal!” Amelia snapped at him. “You being Paul all along doesn't change that! You agreed to leave Luz alone because you'd have me!”
“And what exactly are you doing to do about it?” Caleb asked her before he quickly seized her left wrist and held it up to make sure she could see it. She could almost feel the phantom sting of the branding iron as she was forced to look at the Empire's symbol scarred into her flesh. “You are mine, Amelia... nothing can change that. Luz may now know that 'Paul' deceived her all along, but she also knows that you've done the same. You can try to run away from your destiny, go crawling back to her to beg for forgiveness... but you are marked in devotion to me, and this brand does not lie. You are one of us... whether you like it or not.”
Caleb finally let Amelia pull her arm away as she tried to hide her wrist, but the feel of the symbol permanently burned into her flesh proved Caleb's words true. She had risked everything on this gambit, and even if Caleb wasn't aware that she was hoping to take him down from within, he had guaranteed that she would lose everything in doing so, regardless of the outcome.
Amelia could only glare at Caleb as he gave her a smug, sincere nod of acknowledgment before he opened the door to his room and stepped inside, motioning for Adrian to follow him as they left her in the hallway. All she could do was pick herself back up and try to mentally recite her mantra that she had come this far and had to make this work, that she had to figure out how to put an end to this once and for all.
Even if she was having a hard time believing that she could anymore... or that she would have anything to go back to once this was all finally settled.

To say that Gia & Gina were having fun with their time in wrestling was an understatement.
Granted, the Glimmer Sisters tended to make a good time out of just about anything. It had practically become their M.O. by this point in their lives.
If there was ever a time when the twins weren't having fun? Well, that's when you knew something was seriously wrong.
If you asked them, that was just one of the reasons why they had pulled the stunt they did with Gina's trios contract. Frank Delatosso had gone from being a potentially decent guy to being just another stick in the mud thinking he had more power than he did, and don't even get the twins started on the likes of Amelia Nevado & La Pequena Luz. It didn't matter if they were both the squeaky clean goody two shoes girlies everyone criticized them for being or if one of them had finally gotten a bit of attitude and people hated her for it, the one thing that hadn't changed was the fact that they both took everything was too seriously.
Just like almost everyone else in SCW, which is why the twins were more than happy to look down on them all without a hint of remorse.
The problem was the fact that even with Amelia suddenly trying to pretend she was such a bad bitch and the precious couple clearly having some trouble in paradise, everyone was still calling the Light in the Darkness the undisputed best tag team in SCW today, which was an insult considering the best tag team that ever existed period was right in front of everyone's eyes all along and pulling it off without even trying so hard.
If you ask the Glimmers, they will tell you that is a fact. Not even the so called “GOATs” in Dark Fantasy could ever hope to compare, and the fact that Gina had beaten the only half of that team that ever mattered in the trios tournament was proof of that.
In fact, the twins could cite a long list of the so-called best in SCW that they had beaten in one form or another, all while having only really lost once (Gia's fatal fortunes loss didn't count as far as they were concerned and Deanna Frost had been running scared ever since because she knew she needed help to win that night). Who cared if Amelia & Luz had been tag team champions more times or longer? Who cared if they'd held tons of singles titles, and who cared if Amelia was the world champion (for now)?
The Glimmer Sisters had taken over SCW and no one could stop them.
Maybe that sounded like a serious case of overconfidence, but it kept the twins happy to have SCW as a place where they could still have fun. After all, they had once again owned David Striker, proven how insecure Colleen MacDonald was, still lived rent free in the head of Dexter Grant, but most important of all was being able to screw with Amelia & Luz while strutting around in lacy lingerie that really tested the line of what was and wasn't broadcast-legal.
If poor Sharper and Knots thought they got a front-row seat to the sexiest show SCW has ever seen when the twins planted their perfect peaches right in their faces on that commentary desk, then they would be having heart attacks at what the Glimmers had planned for Taking Hold of the Flame. After all, Amelia & Luz were going to be humbled on their terms, and Gia & Gina were going to make sure all of them looked hot as hell while doing it.
Gia: Seriously, of all the women in SCW who could come anywhere close to giving us a run for our money, it had to be a pair of goody two shoes who are so pure and modest and probably afraid of their own bodies I'd put money on them not even fucking each other until they got married first.
Gina: At least without resorting to plastic surgery to pretend they've got the goods. The next closest would probably be Slutty Syren, but we both know those tits are stuffed with silicone.
Gia: No wonder she had no problem teasing people before she got all “serious” like everybody else. It's easy to be confident when your boobs are big enough to be weapons, but only real women with the real gift of curves can have real confidence in themselves.
Gina: Makes me sad the likes of Amelia & Luz never grew up in places to really appreciate what they have... good thing they have us to help them embrace the joys of big boobs and ample asses.
The twins couldn't help but laugh as they bumped hips while moving around their trailer. It was probably no surprise that Cirque du Sins had wasted no time in setting itself up in Sin City, and it couldn't be argued that they were pulling in the kind of cash flow that was usually reserved for their biggest events like the 4th of July Carnalval. It also made up for the fact that they had tried to do a show in D.C. before the Glimmers got to embrace lace and lewdness to tempt and have fun with the Light in the Darkness, but they had been denied by authorities because politics are a bitch and the old men who think they're all-powerful because they're hoarding wealth were better off dead, especially when they couldn't even get it up anymore to make being rich a brag that actually worked.
If anything, distracting themselves with the sexy fun they were going to have on the horizon to prove the era of SCW being a place where people took the wrestling business way too seriously helped a lot to ignore something else that had been weighing on their minds lately.
Their sinful circus family could tell that something had been off for weeks now, but Gia & Gina refused to open up to anybody, not even during their favorite activities whenever anybody was in the mood. They just kept smiling and insisting that everything was alright, and Lucian had been more than happy to leave it at that so long as they were still killing it in their performances (which they were). The best anybody could figure was that it was something private and that's why the twins were safeguarding it like their lives depended on it, and no one really had the right to pry if that were the case.
As for whether or not they were having fun? Outside of SCW since it worked wonders as a distraction, no one could really seem to know for sure if performing their hot asses off or screwing their fellow freaks was actually providing that rush of excitement and joy while their minds were clearly preoccupied with something. To some degree, it had people walking on eggshells around the Glimmers, but despite something feeling off, the twins were trying to act like everything was still alright and going about their days like normal.
No one knew if that was supposed to put them at ease or not.
They were currently preoccupying themselves with “preparation” for their Lingerie Showdown. By preparation, I mean strutting around their trailer butt naked (as they so often did so nothing unusual there) while watching matches for the Light in the Darkness. Normally, you'd expect them to be studying their opponents, considering this is probably the biggest match they've had yet and against the team that so many people still claim is superior to them, but this is the Glimmer Sisters... they know they've already got this match won, so they're studying relates to something else entirely.
Gia: Seriously, I don't know why Luz insists on calling herself “little.” Yeah, she's shorter than us, but those tits? That ass? That's as far away from “little” as you get, and it barely weighs her down! If she had a couple more inches there or maybe one more cup size, you'd swear she was a long lost Latina Glimmer!
Gina: And Amelia? She really should thank us for getting her out of that stupid singlet because that girl is just as stacked up top. And did you see the size of her ass while she was squatting on Chris's back for that camel clutch? She's giving us a run for our money trying to crush people with all that cake!
Gia: I think that Billy kid who unfortunately spawned from the loins of James's old manager was onto something with all that talk of Amelia's ass. Makes me a little envious he got a feel for it last year... might have to introduce my hand to those cheeks on Sunday to see for myself.
Gina: Her and Luz both. We really did make the right choice strutting our asses out there and enjoying the show. They both gave us quite an eyeful while standing on the apron... they're going to thank us once we show them how fun it is to be free and flaunt your goods for the world.
Gia: Gia & Gina Glimmer, certified sexy time therapists and marriage counselors!
Gina: I wouldn't go that far, unless this really patches things up between them. Then maybe we should bill them.
Gia: Even if they somehow get their shit together, by then it'll be too late. They can comfort one another in the back and thank us later, we can cancel that stupid ass battle royal and spend the rest of the show throwing a Vegas-style party in the ring because let's face it: no one in that thing would even have a hope in hell of taking the world title from us, and if they think otherwise, they're just delusional fucks who need to lighten up and get a clue!
Gia laughs that grating, haughty laugh of hers, kind of punctuating her point as she lightly slaps the TV screen when it brings up what would probably be the closest angle they've seen yet to make it seem like she just spanked Amelia's ass. She opens the door to their trailer and literally cartwheels out onto the makeshift circus grounds of where Cirque du Sins has set up shop in an otherwise empty lot allotted to them by the city of Las Vegas. Gina just chuckles and grins at her twin's enthusiasm as she does a similar light slap to the TV, except replace Amelia's ass with Luz's as the image in question before she saunters out and closes the door behind her.
Should the twins get in trouble for public indecency considering they're within city limits and baring it all without a care in the world? Probably, but Cirque du Sins has always been pretty good about effectively skirting the law at least within the limits of whatever area they set up shop in because it's “all part of the business.” The fact that Las Vegas is known as Sin City for good reason and it's the perfect site to play host to the greatest match in SCW history probably helps, because who in their right mind is going to deny the Glimmers their freedom to flaunt it all before they they do have to wear something, with that something being potentially their hottest lingerie yet?
Gia: By the way Gina, that one little line you slipped into that contract before you turned it in? Fucking priceless!
Gina: Which one? Pretty sure every rule and stipulation I put in that thing is causing so many heart attacks on the corporate level that poor Franky will finally realize he needs to get laid like yesterday.
Gia: I'm talking about the one about whoever scores the fall wins the world title! Can you imagine if those two sluts-to-be actually win-
Gina: Which they won't, but keep going.
Gia: -and Luz scores the fall? I think I might actually die and go to heaven at Amelia's precious world title reign she's so stressed and worked up over ending by her partner's hands!
Gina: Please sis... we all know we're both too hot for heaven and all those Bible humpers would lose their faith in god or Jesus or whatever if we made our way up there.
Gia: OK, in this hypothetical scenario where the impossible happens, how long do you think it'll take before Amelia bitch chokes her wife out and calls for a divorce right in the middle of the ring?
Gina: Not that it's going to happen because we've stacked the deck so much in our favor there's no way in hell the house of sin and lust is losing, not in this city baby, but if she does do that? We kick her ass out of there and show big mami Luz that there's plenty of other smokin' hot fish in the sea.
Gia: My only question is... what happens if we win?
Gina stops and raises an eyebrow at her twin.
Gina: What do you mean?
Gia: I mean... by the wording you used just to further fuck with those two very fuckable fuckwits, only one of us can be world champion.
Gina: Come on Gia, do you really think I didn't think about that? Let's be honest-
Gia: Don't you mean “lesbi-honest”?
Gina: That goes without saying sis.
Gina just laughs and licks her lips in a manner that would have anybody, especially another woman given the context, ripping their pants off and begging for that tongue to be put to very good use ASAP.
Gina: Look, we both know that even if Amelia & Luz are just as sexy and stacked as we are, there's no fucking way we're losing the first part of this game. Letting Luz keep her dumb little tradition because she's afraid people will probably be all over her and push Amelia aside if they see whatever good looks she's hiding under that mask, the fact that they're both so “pure” and “innocent” that they've been trying to find a way out of this for weeks, taking the fans out of the equation so there's no risk of those purist smarks out there actually coming out of their basements for a change and trying to screw us over... we're going into the actual match with every edge we could ever imagine, hands down.
Gina puts her hands on her twin's shoulders, grinning at her in the way a cat grins at a bird before it goes to gulp it down.
Gina: There's nothing stopping us from taking one of them out and then pinning the other together, making a real show of it while the other person can only watch.
Gina's hands begin slowly trailing down Gia's body, caressing her twin's breasts.
Gina: And even if we can't... you think SCW can tell us apart? They can say only Gia or only Gina is champion all they want... they'll never know who's in the ring defending it.
Gina's hands begin trailing even lower as Gia grins and feels herself getting into the steamy scene.
Gina: The world title is ours Gia... and there won't be a single fucking thing anyone can do about it. SCW is about to change for the better, and we'll be the head bitches in charge forcing everyone else to accept that if they want to set themselves up to fail against us...
Gia: ...then they'll have to play by our rules. Fuck sis, you're turning me on right now with all this talk of how we're fucking goddesses with all of SCW in the palms of our hands. Or maybe even our-
Angel: Gotta admit, I don't think I've seen you two sluts this openly slutty all over each other before. I'd probably be harder than a guy who swallowed a literal boatload of Viagra if tits and cunts actually interested me.
Gia & Gina's heated moment immediately ices over at the familiar smug voice inserting itself into their questionable dirty talk. Whether or not the twins were actually going to lose themselves to the ultimate forbidden act or if it was all a tease like they love weaving into their acts as a means of really destroying as many pairs of underwear as humanly possible is irrelevant now. They don't part from the intimate embrace they're in while still being completely naked in broad daylight, but they do slowly turn their heads to lock eyes with Angel. Judging by the grin he's giving them and how confident and relaxed he looks, it's safe to say he's actually feeling more like himself than he has since coming back to the circus, but that knowledge doesn't change the way the Glimmers are glaring at him.
Angel: What? Are you bitches going to get all pissy with me now because I killed the moment? I don't care if you actually fuck each other or not because we all know everyone out there is lying to themselves about not being aroused by the thought. Pretty sure we could look through anybody's browser history and dig up that kind of porn buried nice and deep-
Gina: You can shut up and go away now.
Gia: Seriously, leave us alone Anthony.
Angel: Hmm... tempting thought, but I think I'll pass... Sara and Sandra.
Angel's grin grows even more smug, but it doesn't last long before the Glimmers finally pull apart from each other and grab him by the bra covering the drag queen's fake tits, pulling him close as his grin fades at the sight of the twins actually looking like they want to murder him right then and there.
Gia: You do not say those names out loud!
Gina: Seriously, forget you ever heard Vincent say that shit right now!
Angel: Oh, and I'm supposed to accept when you both call me Anthony? Turnabout's fair play, cunts.
The Glimmers shove Angel to the ground as they loom over him, seething with rage. As they see him look up at them, a bit of fear actually creeping into his eyes now, they finally snap out of it and start to back away.
Gina: Fuck...
Gia: No... no, we're not...
Angel breathes a sigh of relief as he pulls himself back up, looking a little remorseful now.
Angel: Look... that was probably pretty fucked up of me to do, I admit that. But you know how I feel now whenever you guys call me by a name I willingly left behind a long time ago. Far as I'm concerned, Anthony's dead, and I can only assume Sara and Sandra are as well if those names actually mean something to the two of you the way I think they do. I'm sorry, and I'll drop it if you do the same.
Glimmers: ...that's fair.
Angel can't help but scoff in a bit of amusement at the twins looking at each other before replying in unison.
Angel: For real though? If you want to talk about it, I'm all ears. You know I'm not great at all this “feelings” bullshit, but I'm also running from my past and would probably be the best guy to understand-
Gia: We'll think about it.
Gina: Especially since we need to figure out where you even stand with us anymore.
The Glimmers both turned and sauntered their sexy asses towards the trailer that cooked for everyone, looking to try and fuel up before they got back to their devious and delightful scheming. Angel watched them go, feeling hurt by the harsh remark but he sighed in understanding. He had a feeling Gia & Gina had caught on to something he'd been trying to hide, as much as he really didn't want to be doing it at all, and if they had... they had every right to not be trustful of him anymore.
And maybe, in his mind, that was for the best.

OOC: Number two for Luz, going to post in both this and the battle royal thread to count for both matches.
----------------------------------
The very first thing we see is a close-up shot of what looks like a craps table you'd find in a casino, which feels fitting with Taking Hold of the Flame going down in Las Vegas. We don't see much else at first, as any glimpses we get beyond the table show nothing but darkness. After a moment, we see a single hand sliding a poker chip forward, though this chip has a very familiar logo upon it: a crescent moon inside of a sun, the logo we've come to associate with one particular tag team in SCW. As the hand pulls out of the shot, we see a pair of purple and gold dice thrown onto the table, rolling around for a moment before they both land on sixes. The single poker chip suddenly has a massive stack pushed in to join it, every chip bearing the iconic symbol of The Light In The Darkness.
It's at this point that we pan up and off the table, rotating around to find the hand we saw belongs to none other than La Pequeña Luz. She stands at this table under a spotlight that cuts through the darkness, as there appears to be nothing beyond the warm, inviting light. Contrary to what some people may have been hoping for, given what she's going to be walking into on Sunday night, Luz is dressed in a pair of black jean shorts and an old Light In The Darkness t-shirt along with her familiar mask, and she seems to be perfectly comfortable in this attire no matter what two certain women might believe. Despite the impressive dice roll, Luz's signature smile is absent, the only jarring thing about this whole scene.
“Wrestling has always been a dream of mine... that's easy to say when mi papá was a luchador who fought to become one of the greatest to ever wear the mask. But even if wrestling wasn't in my blood, it's still something I wanted to pursue from a young age. I loved the athleticism, I loved the devotion to turning something as simple as a mask into an entire identity that could redefine who you are, as long as you were willing to put in the work to make it happen. Yes, I am a caring soul and maybe you think that doesn't belong in this world, but when push comes to shove, I will fight with all my heart for this sport and the people who matter to me, that helped me define who La Pequeña Luz truly is.
That's why Sunday night is going to be one of the hardest nights of my entire career... and I didn't even get a choice in the matter.
When people go out and gamble, that's a conscious decision they're making. If they aren't able to control themselves and find out they have a problem, an addiction, to the danger of losing everything by trusting in Lady Luck... first off, please get help, I beg of you. But ultimately, that discovery, that downward spiral when luck is no longer in your favor, can all be traced back to that one choice you made. No one can take that choice away from you, and you're free to own every thrill and every consequence that comes with it. That's a choice I made when I decided to enter my name into the Taking Hold of the Flame battle royal, betting on myself to go all the way even knowing what may await me at the end of that road.
One thing I did not get to choose was whether or not I also wanted to compete in front of a Las Vegas crowd in nothing but my underwear.”
Luz's eyes turn away from us, and while it might be hard to see because of her mask, there is definitely an embarrassed blush burning on her face at the mere thought of having to go through with such a thing. The fact that she doesn't even want to be in this position is obvious, but like it or not, this was the hand she was dealt. She eventually sighs and turns back to us, trying to regain her composure.
“I hope the Glimmer Sisters are happy with themselves. I've seen them waltzing around backstage and strutting down to the ring in barely anything, always pushing boundaries all because they want attention. They want a big pay day without doing the actual work to deserve it. They want to call themselves champions while spitting in the face of everything that the rest of us have done to prove we belong here. The highs, the lows, the mental struggles when we've found ourselves faced with setbacks until we finally broke free and rose above... they know none of that. They just walked into SCW on their very first day like they owned the place and have taken advantage of everybody they've faced by shoving their sex appeal down everyone's throats and exploiting how uncomfortable that makes everyone to act like they deserve to be acknowledged as the best. If that doesn't work, then they lie and cheat and resort to whatever they have to in order to escape and act like they deserve any of their wins.
Now, if you two are actually comfortable in your own skin and want to flaunt what you've got, I'm not going to tell you not to. I have built my own career on the premise of being able to embrace who you truly want to be through the art of wrestling, and telling you two not to do something that clearly makes you happy and comfortable would make me a hypocrite. But trying to force not only me, but someone I love with all my heart and soul, to join you in these antics? That's where the line is crossed, and if I were Derek Adonis, I'd be reevaluating how much the two of you fit his KABLAMia brand because neither Amelia nor myself consented to any of this.
Let me make something clear to the two of you: whether or not I can be considered attractive never has and never will matter. As much as you two seem all too happy to try and mess with it, I have a woman in my life who loves me for more than just my looks. Those fans all pay their hard-earned money not to see what I look like, but what I can do in that ring to make it all worth the investment. I don't need to strip down or flaunt anything to be loved and respected... and at the end of the day, that's what this is all about, isn't it?
For as much as the two of you have tried to dominate the tag team division, you can't stand the talk of how The Light In The Darkness is still considered arguably the greatest modern-day tag team in SCW. You can't comprehend just why everyone, from the fans to the locker room, have put Amelia and I on such a pedestal, and you're so desperate to try and replace us up there that you're trying to drag us down to your level. You're going to force us to strip down to nothing but bras and panties and parade ourselves around in front of thousands of people all just to laugh and say we're no different than you after all. You claim to respect my culture because you're letting me keep my mask on for this, but I'm not stupid, Glimmers... given the first half of this Lingerie Showdown is a contest being judged, you're banking on either me removing my mask and disgracing the culture I came from just to try and better our chances of winning an advantage, or that by clinging to one of the most important things that makes me who I am in a sport that means everything to me, it may as well make it a cakewalk to win the judges' favor just so you can claim you beat us at something.
You know what, though? You can have the advantage... Amelia and I don't need the numbers in our favor to beat you two. Take every advantage you need, because you're going to learn the hard way that The Light In The Darkness earned the right to be considered one of the best tag teams in SCW history. We fought with everything we had to overcome arguably the greatest tag team of all time around here, we busted our butts to carry the tag team division on our backs and rebuild it into what it was before the two of you thought you could just take it over and claim dominance off the back of stolen valor.
The fact that we care, that this means everything to us, that we're willing to push ourselves further beyond to prove we deserve everything we've fought tooth and nail to earn... it bothers you, doesn't it? Gia and Gina Glimmer can laugh and shake their booties and claim they're the best, but you can't fool the people who've believed in us since the very beginning, and you certainly can't fool us. That's why you used Gina's Trios contract to create a scenario that, on paper, can only benefit you and humiliate us. That's why you wanted to take away my ability to decide, on my terms, when I decided to pursue the World Tag Title opportunity I earned back during Fatal Fortunes. That's why you thought it was brilliant to strike when Amelia and I are clearly not entirely on the same page, why you chose to put the World Title she earned up for grabs, and why you thought you were so clever with that little detail I didn't miss about how whoever scores the fall becomes World Champion.
You think you can tear us apart to claim an easy win and brag like you accomplished anything... but for as much as you're banking on us to underestimate the two of you, you've gone and made that very mistake yourselves.”
Luz places her hands on the edges of the craps table and leans forward, a fury in her eyes the likes of which we've never seen before. The fire burning within her... it's far more intense than we've ever known, a raging inferno that didn't even burn this hot when she and Amelia were being targeted week after week by the likes of the Fall of Man. This is a very different La Pequeña Luz, but it can't be denied that the raw passion we feel in the air right now is unmistakably the luchadora we've all grown to love and respect.
“Gia, Gina, you can think you've come up with the most clever plan anyone's ever devised, but in doing so, you've only set yourselves up to fall harder than you ever have since you arrived here. If you actually knew anything about us, you'd know that Amelia and I never take anybody lightly and treat every opponent, no matter how they present themselves, as though they're our toughest challenge to date. Even if we weren't entirely cohesive, we didn't take Hollywood lightly on Breakdown, and we're not going to treat the two of you any different come Taking Hold of the Flame. You've put in all this effort to rip us out of our comfort zone, force us to meet you on your level, manufacture a way to try and pit us against each other... but The Light In The Darkness has always risen to any challenge thrown at us, and this one will be no different. As much as I hate everything about this, it's not going to stop me from teaching the two of you a lesson you're long overdue for: if you want to overcome The Light In The Darkness, then you better be ready to work harder than you ever have before and prove you've actually earned it.
And before you think I'm getting ahead of myself and trying to drive a wedge between us, let me address that little line you're hoping will keep Amelia and I from truly being on the same page come Sunday night: Amelia can trust me to have her back, because I have no interest in walking out of this pay-per-view as World Champion. Say what you will about the decisions she made to get there, when it comes to that ring, Amelia has done what you two never have and that's earned the right to call herself World Champion, on nothing more than her own blood, sweat and tears. It'll be my honor to help her walk out of Allegiant Stadium with that title still around her waist, where it belongs... I'll be happy enough being able to call myself World Tag Team Champion alongside her again and treating those titles that mean the world to us with far more respect than the two of you have while dancing around wearing them like bras.
Amelia deserves to be able to go on to main event Rise to Greatness as World Champion... and I plan on meeting her there.”
Luz's gaze slowly shifts down to the craps table for a moment before she reaches down and picks up one of the poker chips, her eyes fixated on the logo that has been a proud calling card for her and Amelia for so many years. Her expression shifts a bit... the passion is still there, but there's a deep contemplation we can see going on in her head right now.
“Despite the fact that the Glimmer Sisters have tried to manufacture a scenario where I can take the World Title from my own wife and partner depending on where the chips fall come Sunday night, my name is still among the forty participants entering the battle royal to try and earn a shot at that very title in the main event of Rise to Greatness. Maybe some of you think I'm simply creating a backup plan for myself, maybe some like Jonathan Knots think it's a stunt to get in Amelia's head and try to steal her spotlight. If you believe either of those, then you clearly don't know me as well as you might think you do.
If you did, then perhaps you would know why I've been going about this the way I have... and why I'm not afraid to say, right here and now, that I need to be the one who wins this battle royal.
Everyone is in this match for reasons that are very understandable: you want a shot at the World Championship, you want to prove you're one of the best in SCW, you want to make a statement if you're new or coming in from somewhere else, you want to go on to claim that coveted main event spot at Rise to Greatness. I can understand all of that, and I'd be lying if I said I didn't want any of that for myself. But there's a difference between me and each and every one of you who are going to bet on yourselves come Sunday night... and that's the woman who I'm going to make sure walks into the biggest show of the year as the defending World Champion.
This... this isn't about trying to outshine Amelia or to forcibly share the spotlight with her, like some might believe, especially those who have followed Frank Delatosso's whims like Amelia's found herself doing. This isn't even about trying to become World Champion, because we've already established I could pull that off at Taking Hold of the Flame without needing the battle royal if I really wanted to. No... I need to win the battle royal, I need to main event Rise to Greatness, I need to meet Amelia there because I am the only one on this entire roster who can actually be the light that guides her back from the darkness!”
Luz slams the poker chip back down onto the impressive stack on the table before her, which causes the stack to fall and the chips to scatter everywhere. This doesn't seem to deter her, though, as she takes a few deep breaths before looking right at us with that same intensity that was directed at the Glimmers not that long ago.
“Don't misunderstand me. I'm not saying that I'm the only one in this match who can actually go on to beat her, because I know that thought is going to drive each and every one of you who are only thinking about this in terms of the top title in this company and the biggest moment you could maybe ever have in your career. I'm saying that out of everyone in this match, out of everyone in SCW, I'm the only one who has the best possible odds of saving Amelia from the path she's chosen. I appreciate the efforts of some of you to try and talk her down from that ledge, I really do... but this is my mess to clean up, and mine alone. This all started because I wasn't a little more mindful of how Amelia was feeling when she was struggling with setbacks while I was fighting to prove myself as United States Champion. It's easy to say this could've been resolved simply by talking things out... but if there's one thing Amelia and I both know, it's that love isn't always easy, and sometimes you need to take a different approach and be ready to fight with everything you have to save the people that are most important to you.
Whenever I've said that Amelia deserves to be World Champion and has earned that right, I've meant it every single time. When it comes to the two of us, I could never lie. But Amelia let her frustrations consume her and I didn't fight hard enough to save her... hence why she's letting herself be guided by a man who is no different than her parents when it comes to telling her everything she wants to hear and molding her into something that isn't her. Sorry Mr. Delatosso, but everything I'm going to do at Taking Hold of the Flame, from helping Amelia retain her World Title in the most uncomfortable circumstances we've ever dealt with to overcoming even your own handpicked army in the battle royal? I'm not doing it for you or your New Order... I'm doing it for her.
I saved Amelia from this same scenario once before... early in our careers, in my home country, long before we were ever even friends, we put on one of the greatest wrestling matches of all time against each other. On that night, not only did I shatter Amelia's then-undefeated streak across her career... I also shattered the walls she'd been made to put up that were making her miserable and keeping her from being who she truly wants to be, who she truly deserves to be. And I plan to do it again... the brightest spotlight, the biggest stage, the highest stakes, the greatest challenge either one of us could ever face in our entire careers.
This is about so much more than the World Championship or main eventing Rise to Greatness... this is about fighting for what means the most to you and being willing to do whatever it takes to pierce the darkness and fix everything that was broken. This is the burden I bear entering Allegiant Stadium on Sunday night, and that is why there is only one right way that Taking Hold of the Flame can end.”
Luz reaches down and slowly grabs the dice off the table, taking a moment to shake them in her hand as she looks at us with an intensity that burns hotter than the proverbial flame she seeks to take hold of.
“Me llamo La Pequeña Luz. I am the daughter of the late, great El Espíritu Angélico, but I have made my own name and earned my right to be here. And at Taking Hold of the Flame, I am going to rise above the shallow games of the Glimmer Sisters.
I am going to become a record-tying four time World Tag Team Champion alongside Amelia.
I am going to help my wife retain the World Title she's more than earned.
And I am going to win the Taking Hold of the Flame battle royal and meet her in the main event of Rise to Greatness.
I'm going to do all these things because love is not for cowards, and to save the woman I love from the abyss threatening to claim her, I am willing to walk through Hell itself if that's what it takes to bring her back.
And on Sunday night? That will be more valuable than any reason anybody else has to try and stop me from making things right.”
With that, Luz tilts her hand and lets the dice fall, clattering down the pile of chips before finally stopping their roll. She gives us one last fierce look before she directs our gaze down to the table, the dice resting atop a pile of chips devoted to The Light In The Darkness, the result being another pair of sixes. It's this sight, with Luz clearly betting on herself and willing to gamble it all, that we fade out on.

OOC: And number two for Amelia
----------------------------------
The very first thing that greets our eyes is a beautiful shot of the Las Vegas skyline at night, the entire Strip brilliantly illuminated by a rainbow of lights and a vibrant sense of life that make Vegas a strong contender to New York City for the title of “the city that never sleeps.” A view like could only be possible from one location, and that's The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, arguably one of the fanciest hotels in the entire city. Despite the reputation that this city tends to get, this particular hotel is mindful of the comfort of its guests, hence why it goes out of its way to make sure nobody is clad in attire that could either paint them in a negative light or ruin that comfort for everyone around them who didn't consent to seeing them in such a state of undress.
Perhaps the combination of class and consent is exactly why Amelia Nevado has chosen to stay here.
We see her step out onto the balcony to take in the breathtaking view, dressed in upscale business casual attire that feels more than fitting for The Cosmopolitan, but more importantly, is something she feels comfortable in... two things she knows she won't be able to say come Taking Hold of the Flame. We can see the SCW World Title proudly draped over her shoulder as she goes to lean on the railing to her balcony, drinking in the view of a city that is proud to be what it is, regardless of what people think about that reputation. Despite this, she doesn't seem to be enjoying the view... if anything, it looks like she has a lot on her mind, and while that might be expected given what awaits her come Sunday night, it's still hard to see her trying to come to terms with everything going on around her. Eventually, she lets a sigh escape her lips as she glances over at us out of the corner of her eye.
“Being a champion is hard... that goes without saying. When you hold championship gold, you become a target for everybody else wanting to prove themselves. You stand at the top of the mountain and everyone else will do whatever it takes to send you all the way back down to the bottom so they can have their turn. I'm no stranger to this concept... say what you will about the length of my Television and Underground Title reigns, but I have proudly stood atop the tag team division for a collective total of over a year, fighting my heart out to prove that I was good enough to not only belong there, but inspire others to fight their way up to me. For the past few years, SCW's tag team division as everyone knew it was arguably the most competitive it had been in a very long time... thanks to the efforts of The Light In The Darkness to show the world why tag team wrestling is just as incredible as accomplishing anything solo.
I expected no less when I finally became World Champion. This is the highest peak in all of SCW, so I knew I was going to have to endure Hell itself if necessary in order to stay on this throne. I expected names who firmly believe they deserve this more than I do based on our history to step up and want to try and prove their superiority one more time, and I would happily welcome that challenge to continue proving myself as the best in this company today. I expected to be going one-on-one with Gavin Taylor, honoring his own rematch, and proving that while I may not have beaten him directly back at Hubris, I have what it takes to remain at the top over him as the World Champion SCW deserves. I was even fully prepared for whatever surprises the Taking Hold of the Flame battle royal might introduce this year, ready to follow up whatever challenge I needed to overcome here in Las Vegas with a fight the likes of which I've only dreamed of before in the main event of Rise to Greatness... the ultimate proof that I've finally earned the right to be considered one of SCW's absolute best.
What I could never have expected... was to see all my efforts treated as nothing more than a punchline by a pair of women proudly calling themselves clowns who want nothing more than to play games and act like they achieved anything on minimal effort.”
Amelia's discomfort is very apparent now as she turns around and leans back on the railing of the balcony, the frustration we thought would have finally faded once she reached the top seeping in and making itself known once more. She takes a deep breath before hugging the World Title across her chest, trying to ground herself.
“I've never hidden how hard it was for me to get to this point, regardless of whether or not you agree with some of the decisions I've made as of late. I was never shy about sharing the heavy expectations I had weighing on me as the prodigy of the Blythe family, the pain and abuse I had to endure until my parents believed I was finally 'good enough' to carry that burden. Even then, they continued to punish me, gaslight me, make me believe that my very best just wasn't good enough because I shouldn't have just been the very best... I should have been nothing less than the one and only wrestling god worthy of that title.
I'm going to be honest... there were points where I began to hate wrestling, where I wanted to just quit altogether, not because I couldn't succeed, but because it was at the very heart of all of my problems. But now? As I stand here before you all, at the very top of the SCW mountain, I can honestly say that I'm glad I never gave up back then, that I found my passion for this business and everything I endured growing up was worth it. I found a purpose in wrestling, I made a name that was all my own, and even when I hit low points like earlier this year when nothing was going my way and I felt like my frustrations were eating me alive... I never stopped fighting. I kept trying to push myself, because I never wanted to go back to that point in my life where none of this mattered and everything I sought to earn was never supposed to belong to me, but someone else.
But I guess all of my struggles, physical and mental, that I've had to endure over the years are just one big joke to the two of you, huh Glimmer Sisters?
From the moment you both walked into this company, I knew I wasn't going to like you. You acted like all of this was easy, you thought you could simply call yourselves the best and it would happen, you've let your egos become so inflated that you believe yourselves to be unbeatable. I was there, once upon a time... I thought the same, because that was the mindset I was supposed to have. I had to be unbeatable, I had to be the best, but unlike the two of you, I still worked my butt off between those ropes to earn everything I have to my name the hard way. One other thing I learned the hard way is that nothing lasts forever, and just as I'll admit to letting my own overconfidence cause my entire wrestling world to come crumbling down around me a long time ago... you two are long overdue to understand exactly what that feels like.
Up to this point, the two of you have done nothing but play games and act like you're better than everyone else. Say what you will about the likes of Glory Braddock, but as much as she's infuriated me over her gloating that I could never defeat her one-on-one, she at least earned those wins the hard way. The two times I crossed paths with Gina? The first time in Trios required the two of you to confuse the referee and take advantage of a few people who shouldn't have been out at ringside to steal a win by disqualification. The second time in Fatal Fortunes, you took advantage of a setup I wasn't comfortable with, and even then, you couldn't beat me cleanly. Take away the wardrobe malfunction, which wouldn't have surprised me if it was blatant on your part, and who knows what would've happened. You can act like that makes you better than me all you want, but no one's buying it. That's why, even despite those 'wins,' everyone has still proudly called The Light In The Darkness the best tag team in SCW today over the likes of you and your sister.
That's why you pulled this little stunt of yours... that's why you cashed in your Trios contract on this Lingerie Showdown, forcing not only me, but La Pequeña Luz as well, to stand in front of a live Las Vegas crowd and a broadcast audience watching from around the world in nothing but our underwear. You want, so badly, for people to say the Glimmer Sisters are superior to The Light In The Darkness, but deep down, the two of you know that you could never beat us... not cleanly, anyway. So you had to resort to trying to embarrass and humiliate us, making us have to parade ourselves around like prized cattle to try and convince those who refuse to cheer for you that we're no different than you after all. You went and created a whole match built solely around stacking the deck so heavily in your favor that you can't possibly lose, all just so you could point to the night of June 14th as if it were proof that the Glimmers are, in fact, better than the team that redefined what tag team wrestling is all about and put it back on the map here in SCW.”
Amelia suddenly finds her gaze lowering to the World Title clutched tightly against her body, the look in her eyes growing more conflicted again. The uncertainty in her head seems to grow worse as her gaze travels from the title belt towards her left wrist, which we only now realize is taped up as if she were ready to compete when it makes no sense... or at least, the reason why only makes sense to her.
“You even made sure to hedge your bets with one specific little line in the terms of this Lingerie Showdown... while the winning team gains the World Tag Team Titles, whoever scores the winning fall will become World Champion. In your hopes to truly ensure that you can win this match you've devised as easily as possible, you've attempted to forge a sense of distrust between myself and my partner, because while I could win this match, I could also still lose this title to the woman who's supposed to have my back in this mess.
Unfortunately, in your efforts to make a complete joke out of two sets of titles that many, myself included, have gone as far as willingly sacrificing their careers to obtain, the two of you have made a fatal mistake...
You've underestimated The Light In The Darkness.”
Amelia's gaze rises to meet us once again, but this time, the uncertainty is gone. In her eyes, we see focus and determination, the aspects that have been a cornerstone of Amelia rebuilding herself into the World Champion she is today. But we also see something else, something we haven't seen in way too long... a fondness in her gaze, a sense of admiration that feels like it's been buried over the past several months. Whatever frustration was clouding her thoughts seems to have given way to memories that inspire hope... a hope that feels like it's been sorely missing from Amelia for far too long, and a hope that has defined a tag team that has long since earned their stripes in this business.
“Do you know what makes Luz and I so special? It's not just the love and trust we've shown for one another, it's the chemistry we possess in that ring. The synergy between us... it goes far beyond simply being tag team partners, or even partners in love and life. The very first time Luz and I crossed paths in this business, we turned a multi-person match we were both part of into a spectacle where the two of us stole the show and made sure no one could interrupt us as we fought. Every match we've had against one another since, regardless of whether we were bitter rivals, best friends, or even idiots in love, we battled with the kind of intensity and chemistry that defies all logic. That synergy is why we've earned the right to be considered one of the best tag teams to ever grace the squared circle.
Are we fully on the same page right now? No, and our match with Hollywood on Breakdown proved that. But I believe in what we have together, what's always existed between us before we even properly knew each other, and while the two of you may be twins... Luz and I? We're soulmates, and our recent issues don't change the destiny that proves we were meant to be together. If things get dire, if you think you can actually back us into a corner, I promise you... we will introduce you to what's always made us special and we will make you regret ever thinking this was a good idea.
But that's where I'm sure your ultimate trump card comes in, doesn't it? Your ace in the hole... your Twin Magic, as you love to refer to it. The same tactic that stole a semi-final match in the Trios Tournament from my team, the secret weapon that has stolen countless victories for the two of you and why the Glimmer Sisters have fully bought into their own hype. You believe that if this does start to go sideways, if every advantage you put in your favor fails you once you finally realize that taking us lightly is a grave mistake, especially when we know better than to treat you as anything other than the greatest threat we've ever had to face thus far, then all you have to do is make one little switch and we'll fall for it hook, line and sinker. Even if you don't need to hide it from the referee in the likely event you win the contest half of this match, as long as you hide it from us, then victory is yours and the gloating can begin, right?
Gia, Gina, I hate to break it to you... but Luz and I have done our homework and we know how to see through your little magic trick.
I'll let you in on a little secret, because I know you both are too full of yourselves to think I'm giving you a fair warning until it's too late. I doubt you know or care, but anyone who's familiar with the Blythe name knows that I'm not the only child Aleister and Ophelia brought into this world. Before me came Edward and Emily Blythe, twin siblings who dominated the British tag team scene. Believe it or not, they're not so different from the two of you, minus the need to ditch their clothes just to get attention. While I struggled to unchain myself from the burden of the family legacy I never asked to be born into, my siblings rebelled in their own ways... they cheated, they deceived, they relied on every trick in the book to win so they didn't have to use the wrestling skill they actually possessed as a middle finger to our parents. Their greatest trick? They called it the Twin Illusion, where they took advantage of any distraction possible to trade places, using their identical appearances to confuse everybody and steal victory in broad daylight.
Sound familiar?
While I was broken and reforged by my parents into their perfect diamond, I watched as Ed and Em used the same tactic you've relied so heavily on time and time again to build a legacy that spat in the face of everything the Blythe name stood for. Unfortunately for them, I learned every possible way to tell who was who even when they put in so much effort to try and disguise it. I picked up on the subtle situations where I could only fall into that trap if I didn't take a moment to stop and think. When Luz and I had our very first match as a team, I taught her all the signs and secrets I'd picked up, and when my siblings tried to pull that stunt on us... we saw straight through it, and it became their undoing.
Just like it's going to become yours on Sunday night.”
Amelia relaxes a little bit, looking more confident and certain than she has in the past few minutes. She slides the World Title belt off her shoulder and holds it proudly before her, as if daring the Glimmers to try and take it from her if they think they can.
“You two think this is all fun and games, that you can treat this business like a joke and you'll coast to the top because just as you don't take any of this seriously, no one has even taken you seriously as a result. That stops at Taking Hold of the Flame. You may be forcing Luz and I to have to wrestle you in nothing but lingerie, you may have created a scenario where you think you can't possibly lose... but The Light In The Darkness has pulled off the impossible before, and all you've done is inspired us to do it again. Luz and I have both been forged by adversity and risen above it to become stronger, we've fought our hearts out to overcome every single challenge thrown our way, and I can promise the Glimmer Sisters this: Taking Hold of the Flame 2026 will forever be remembered as the night Gia and Gina flew too close to the sun and learned the hard way what happens when you fall from grace harder than you've ever known. Wrestling is everything to both Luz and myself, and I swear on my life that I will fight harder than I ever have before to walk out of Allegiant Stadium not only as a World Champion that SCW can be proud of, but as a four-time World Tag Team Champion alongside a woman who has supported me even in my darkest moments.
If something happens Luz scores the fall and I lose this title to her... we'll cross that bridge if we come to it.
But one thing mi amor and I can absolutely agree on is that we will use every tool in our wrestling arsenal to make sure the Glimmer Sisters realize that when you're so lost in your own hype that you're willing to bet it all and try to rig the game in your favor anyways, you can still lose everything. All it takes is one chance, one spark of hope... and finding that opening to make the impossible a reality is exactly why The Light In The Darkness has earned our reputation, no tricks necessary.”
As Amelia slowly moves the World Title belt to rest over her shoulder again, her eyes lower to her taped wrist one last time, which seems to extinguish some of her fire. This moment doesn't last long, though, as she takes a deep breath before flashing us, or perhaps one specific person out there, a tender smile, letting some of the Amelia Nevado we've come to know and love shine through once again. Maybe she isn't as far gone as people thought she was, or maybe it's just a stabilizer to help ensure she and Luz can pull this off together. Only time will tell, but one thing is sure: Amelia trusts Luz to have her back despite everything, and she will return the favor for the woman who, even now, still means everything to her.

Somehow, it only seems fitting that we find ourselves in what looks like a strip club, a staple of Las Vegas culture. I mean, who's paid a visit to Sin City and hasn't felt the urge to indulge in a little adult entertainment? It's hard to tell exactly what strip club this is, but one thing we can confirm is that it appears emptier than you'd expect. There's music playing which implies a DJ somewhere, but other than that we see no patrons making it rain and no other strippers working their magic. In fact, there are only two women we can find working the poles, and we know exactly who they are. Gia & Gina Glimmer are proudly showing off some of their flexibility as one twin is twirling around her pole while bent all the way back while the other is dangling only by her legs wrapped tightly around her pole. Their sinful smiles make it clear they're having a great time, but for anyone who was hoping for a sneak peek at what they might expect come Sunday, you're going to find yourselves a bit disappointed. The bottoms are the same thongs with clever placement of lace to keep their crotches covered (but show off plenty of ass) we saw on Breakdown, and their tops? Well for that, they've opted to treat their tag title belts like a pair of bras, which makes for a very effective look as they dance and grind and flaunt themselves like only they can.
Gia(?): Enjoying the show?
Gina(?): We hope so, because this is only a preview of what awaits you all here in Sin City on a steamy Sunday night.
Gia(?): The only unfortunate thing is that this isn't what you're going to see us wearing when it comes time for the Lingerie Showdown. Sorry guys and girls... apparently these titles cannot be substitutes for bras because we have to actually hand them off or whatever.
Gina(?): But don't worry... Gia and I promise that by the time we're done in that ring, you're all going to be satisfied and forget that anything else is even on the card.
Gia: No sorry underground fight between two old men who need some help getting it up at the sight of women like us.
Gina: And certainly not a giant orgy of wrestlers who think for one second they're actually going to stop us in the main event of Rise To Glimmer.
With some idea as to who's who (assuming, as always, we trust the twins' word), the Glimmers both somersault off their poles and slowly lower themselves to their hands and knees as they crawl along the stage to get up close and personal with us, the title belts doing a very poor job of hiding their cleavage as we even see flickers of pixellation, as if whoever in production tasked with editing this wants to be on the safe side in case we get even the tiniest hint of nipples, but isn't sure if it's even necessary.
Gia: We know what you're thinking. How can Gina and I be so damn confident that we already know we're main eventing SCW's biggest show of the year and renaming it after us while we're at it?
Gina: It's simple, bitches. No one in SCW can stop us, that's a fact.
Gia: The two of us have been here for a year now, and in that time, we've only ever lost once... a mistake we corrected immediately. From top to bottom, we have beaten and humiliated everyone this company has to offer, and we've done it all while barely putting in any effort.
Gina: It's not that we're just that damn good, as some might say. Truth be told, it's because all of you take this business way too fucking seriously, and you just make it so easy for us to get under your skin and into your heads. You bitch and moan about how we're a disgrace, that we're nothing but a couple of glorified hookers, you threaten to end us... and all you do is play right into our hands and beat yourselves before the bell even rings, and whatever's left? We get to play around with until we get bored, score the pin and saunter these tight hot asses right back to our circus to keep the party going.
Gia: As far as we're concerned? We're the best, we've proven it in so little time and effort. But instead of giving us our flowers and kissing our perfect asses like you're supposed to, so many people keep claiming that there's still someone out there better than us. Someone we haven't beaten yet to prove anything. A light in the darkness, if you will.
The twins exchange glances before they burst out laughing, holding onto one another for support before they both roll over onto their backs, which doesn't change the amount of cleavage on display or the risk of seeing nipples.
Gia: Give us a fucking break, please!
Gina: If any of you out there think the Light in the Darkness is actually a match for us, then you clearly haven't been paying attention. Yeah, maybe we haven't gotten to play with 'little' Luz just yet, but Amelia? I've had lots of fun beating her not once, but twice already. My team kept hers from winning the trios tournament for a second year in a row, and then I got to have KABLAMia sponsor a little taste of just how fun she could really be.
Gia: Does it make you mad that my sis has owned you time and time again Amelia? Are you as frustrated as you are whenever you get your ass handed to you by that other British cunt who's so pathetic she thinks an open challenge is actually going to get her any attention over the likes of us? I could feel it in that cheap shot you landed on Breakdown while my twin and I were just trying to give you a little encouragement.
Gina: Well, we're frustrated too. Frustrated that despite proving myself superior to you twice, people still think you and your wife have any right to call yourself the greatest tag team around here. So what if we haven't actually faced you two together yet, we know it's a foregone conclusion. You're going to make the same mistakes everyone else has, we're going to beat you, and then we get to call ourselves the only world champions of any kind in SCW, period. For those of you too slow to keep up, that means we'll truly be the best, end of discussion.
Gia: Since we felt that would be way too boring, especially for a city built on the seduction of thrills and fun, we came up with the perfect way to spice things up courtesy of my sister's trios contract, and by the time this is all over, the two of you will be thanking us.
Gina: If you're not thanking us already for the view. After all, it's pretty obvious by your marriage that the both of you are into other women, and you don't get any more woman than the two of us.
Gia: Though... you two aren't that far off yourselves, hence why we said you'd be thanking us.
Gia & Gina both roll back over onto their stomachs, once again reversing the vertical direction we're seeing their cleavage from as they make sure we can also see their thong-clad asses clearly now. They rest their jaws on their palms as they kick their long legs in the air, almost like a couple of girls having a sleepover about to share in some juicy gossip.
Gina: Now, you're probably wondering why I decided to use my trios contract to bring the four of us together in this ingenious little idea of ours called the Lingerie Showdown, and it's a lot simpler than trying to make the two of you uncomfortable, because you really shouldn't be. See, Gia and I and been watching you two for a while now. Part of it was because we were trying to see why so many people believe you two are a superior team to us, especially since we haven't seen you ladies doing a lot of teaming together since we hit the scene and when you have... eh, we haven't seen anything too special.
Gia: Except for one thing, of course, and we clocked you both on it the moment we decided to interrupt your little scene backstage months ago. Out of all the women on this roster who could actually give the two of us a run for our money when it comes to having banging all natural bodies that would make guys and girls alike cream their jeans, it turns out the goody two shoes couple who probably get all shy and blushy whenever you see each other naked even after marriage are hiding some serious melons and cake in plain sight. Who knew?
Gina: Seriously ladies, you can't stand there and tell us that you don't have tits almost as big as ours or asses just as thicc and juicy as these.
Gina reaches back and slaps her ass, then reaches over and slaps Gia's ass to punctuate her point.
Gina: You can deny it all you want, but we've caught the stares you've gotten just walking through the back even if you two haven't noticed or have tried to ignore it. Pretty sure the sweet, innocent boy of William Heaven helped draw a lot of attention to your giant peach, Amelia, and he's not wrong. Heart-shaped perfection that could be used as a submission weapon in its own right? And you choose to try and hide it in a singlet? An ass like that needs to breathe, babe.
Gia: And don't even get me started on your ass, Luz. Part of your name's a total lie because there's nothing fucking little about you. If you started throwing flying booty bombs off the top rope, you'd have the entire locker room lining up and begging to take it while fans beg to pay for a chance to get a face full of dat ass. Those Latina genes hard at work to draw all eyes to your light, am I right? My sis and I mean it when we say you two might be the only other ladies in SCW who could borrow our dreaded Asspocalypse stunt and have enough junk in the trunk to really crush some skulls and win with it.
Gina: And that's to say nothing of those tits. Damn girls, let your girls come out to play! There's no shame in hiding them! We're women, we have boobs, and boobs deserved to be shown off because we have them and guys don't. That's just a fact of life, and we mean it when we say you two might be a couple of inches, maybe a full cup size at most, away from being a perfect match for the biggest busts SCW has ever seen. You see the fans drool over us any time we just to happen to have a little wardrobe malfunction that lets out girls come out to play in all their beautiful glory... embrace it, rock out with your titties out, feel the joy of being real women with real tits and asses that are fucking huge, not some plastic barbie doll like Syren who had to go under the knife just to get anywhere close to what we're all rocking.
Gia: That's why Gina came up with this idea and I was all on board with it, which is probably more than can be said for the two of you lately, but we can help with that too. That's all we're doing ladies, trying to help you out. You've been these boring goody two shoes taking this shit way too seriously for so long, and in the process, you've forgotten how to actually appreciate some of the gifts the great goddess above gave you. Have some fun, meet us in the ring in front of the entire world in the sexiest lingerie you own, let Las Vegas prove that it's OK to flaunt those goddess-tier bodies and not feel any shame. We want Luz to try and smother us back with those not-so-little titties, we want Amelia to try and pack her giant boobs into a bra that's on the verge of bursting mid-match. We'll even be nice enough to let you borrow the Asspocalypse against one of us to see just how easy and fun this all really is once you stop stressing.
Gina: Don't get us wrong though. Even if you do open your eyes to the joys of what it means to be real bombshell babes, not some plastic bimbo like Syren or flat ugly nobody like Glory Braddock, you're still going to lose on Sunday. We may be trying to help you embrace true womanhood so you can stop stressing and getting frustrated over failures you would've never had if you just stopped caring so much about trying to succeed and let others just hand it to you on a silver fucking platter, but we've been embracing this for most of our lives and we'll be damned if we let our future proteges beat us at our own game when they're still coming out of their shells. Let us prove to you that the only way to truly become unstoppable and make all those losers who think they're superior to you start bowing down and kissing those almost-perfect peaches in worship is to just stop giving a shit and having fun.
Gia & Gina both proceed to pull themselves up to their knees, leaning forward and thrusting their huge tits and their tag title “bras” right in our faces as their give us their most sinful, seductive smirks.
Gia: The reality is that all that Glimmers is gold, and after Taking Hold of the Flame, we'll be dripping in the biggest and brightest gold we can get.
Gina: And we'll finally prove what we've been saying since day one, that Gia and I are the best, bar none, fucking period.
Gia: No one in this entire sport compares to us... but we'll be more than happy to help you shed those restrictive clothes and chains to become a whole new Light in the Darkness. Both inside the ring... and outside if you'd like a little “hands-on” marriage counseling as well.
Gina: By the time that bell rings, you two will be thanking us... and Rise to Glimmer will be set in stone. Your main event won't be us defending against some loser winning a battle royal, because we'll have the power and we'll just cancel that shit because no one wants to see anybody in that thing.
Gia: The main event will instead be the only world champions in SCW putting on the kind of sinful live show that will forever change the way broadcast works to accommodate us and make SCW more money than it's ever known in its entire existence.
Gina: Amelia, Luz, we're offering the two of you a front row seat to it, if you'd like. All you have to do... is let go.
A wink from Gina followed by that haughty laugh from Gia that probably has so many people pissed off now leaves us wanting more, and the Glimmers aren't going to let us leave empty-handed for our troubles. They both back handspring their way back onto their poles, wrapping their thick thighs around them and hanging there seductively as they reach back and undo their titles, pulling them away to fully expose their boobs and incite proper pixellation as they let the tag titles dangle from their teeth, as if daring Amelia & Luz to come and take them. This is where the feed abruptly cuts.
