The heavy mahogany door of the pub swung open, letting in a draft of muggy Boston night air that mixed with the ambient smell of stale beer, polished cedar, and frying grease. The establishment was a tucked away, low lit neighborhood joint near the edge of the South End, the kind of place that catered to a mix of tired hospital workers, local regulars, and the occasional out of town couple looking for a quiet corner booth. Soft jazz played from a set of vintage speakers mounted near the tin ceiling, barely cutting through the low hum of conversation and the clinking of heavy pint glasses behind the long bar. Sitting together in a leather booth tucked back in a dimly lit alcove were the identical twin sisters Marie Jones and Kimberly Williams, presenting a study in total stylistic and emotional contradiction.

Marie sat hunched slightly forward over a half empty glass of pinot noir, her posture radiating a profound, bone deep exhaustion. Even in a state of quiet despair, her innate sense of refined, classy style was obvious. She wore a tailored black silk camisole beneath a light beige cashmere cardigan, paired with dark, perfectly fitted designer denim and a pair of sleek almond toed leather boots. A delicate silver chain rested against her collarbone, catching the faint amber glow of the small candle burning in a glass jar on the center of the table. Her hair was pulled back into a loose, elegant twist, though a few stray strands had fallen around her face. Her eyes were rimmed with a faint red, staring blankly down at the condensation pooling around the base of her wine glass as she compulsively turned a silver ring around her index finger. The sudden news of Percy Matthews being taken back into custody for a parole violation had completely drained the life out of her, leaving her heavy with the hopeless weight of an uncertain future. The fact that he was arrested in her presence, while they were on a date at a fancy restaurant, only made things worse for The Phoenix. The Phoenix had given Percy so many opportunities to change his ways, so many opportunities to prove himself. Yet he failed time and again. He managed to convince Marie to pay his bond so he could get out of jail before his court date. Yet he again betrayed her. He skipped bail. The fact that Percy had lied to her about violating his parole, had lied when he said he was no longer doing drugs, further rubbed salt in the wound. She is here at this bar this evening with Kimmy hoping to drown her sorrows and try to forget.

Across the small table sat Kimberly, looking utterly unbothered by her sister’s dark mood and entirely in her element. Kimberly had interpreted typical bar wear in her own predictably bizarre fashion. She wore a tight, faded vintage leather motorcycle jacket over a ripped graphic tee that featured a cartoonish, roaring tiger, paired with distressed black jeans that looked like they had been personally dragged across gravel. Her dark combat boots rested flat on the floorboards under the table, tapping out a frantic, silent beat. Unlike her sister, whose grief was quiet and still, Kimberly was practically vibrating with a chaotic, restless energy. Her face carried a wide, slightly unhinged grin that seemed completely immune to the sombre mood of the booth. Resting precisely on the bench seat right beside Kimberly, propped up against the leather padding like a silent, heavy patron, was Wasley the penguin. The oversized plushie sat perfectly upright, his immense core of lead fishing weights causing the leather cushion beneath him to sink several inches lower than Kimberly’s side. For a night out on the town, Kimberly had dressed the deadly stuffed animal in a tiny, black leather vest that matched her own jacket, complete with a tiny metal stud pinned to the lapel. Wasley’s shiny black bead eyes stared straight ahead toward the bar taps, his yellow felt beak pointing directly at a bowl of complimentary salted peanuts sitting between the sisters.

Kimberly reached into the peanut bowl, tossing a handful into her mouth with a loud crunch before leaning her elbows heavily onto the table. Her sharp eyes locked onto Marie, taking in her twin's slumped shoulders and solemn expression with a look that hovered right on the edge of wild amusement.

“You look upset, Marie.”

“Sorry.” Marie sighs. “I’m just not in the mood to celebrate. I mean, everything has gone wrong for me lately. I made my triumphant return to SCW at Taking Hold of the Flame.” She points a finger at Kim. “I even got one over on you.”

“Yeah, that still bothers me.”

“But ever since then I’ve had nothing.” She shakes her head. “Alistaire Allocco? Disqualified because Cruze decided getting his pound of flesh was more important than me finishing my match. I get a shot at the United States Championship, which also provides the opportunity to avenge that loss to Dexter Grant I suffered before I took a break, but Grant screwed me over. I get promised another opportunity at Rise To Greatness and people think I’m a sell out simply because the CEO Frank Delatosso was the one who offered that opportunity?” Marie’s voice is full of frustration. “What am I supposed to do, Kim? Say no thanks, I don’t want a title match and I just want to be left off the Rise To Greatness card altogether. And then there’s the idiot Glimmer Sisters who also think I’m on Frank’s payroll.”

“Are you?” Kim asks with a smirk on her face.

“NO!”

“Sorry!” Kim snickers. “I only asked to get rise out of you!”

“Well don’t do that.” Marie shakes her head. “I am not on anyone’s side. I am here to compete, nothing more.”

“I can maim them for you.”

“What?!”

“Percy. Dorkster. The Glimmers. Anyone who thinks you’re a sell-out. I can just maim them for you.”

“I don’t want you maiming anyone.” Marie insists.

“Fine.” She points a finger at Marie. “You maim them. Maiming people usually helps me feel better.”

“I’m not maiming anyone.” Marie insists. A smirk forms on her face slowly. “Although maiming people in that ladder match could help. And taking the United States Title in the process would be icing on the cake.”

“That’s the spirit!” Kim insists. “Good old fashioned bloodshed always lifts my spirits!”

“You DO know that when it comes to the ring, I always try to keep it competitive. Simply about competition and wanting to be the best I can be.” She sighs. “But…maybe I should be more like you…”

“What’s this?” Kim gasps. “Little Miss Perfect admits that Crazy Kim might be onto something?”

“I’m just saying…” Marie’s voice trails off “...I’m just saying that it couldn’t hurt to be a little more like you. A little more carefree. I mean, look at you. Nothing bothers you.”

“Hey, you’re wrong.” Kim insists. “The death of Optimus Prime in the original 1980s Transformers animated movie still hits me right in the feels. One shall stand, one shall fall.” Kim wipes a fake tear from her eyes. “Especially when you consider that unworthy fuck Hot Rod got to take his place when it was Hot Rod’s fault Prime died in the first place!”

“Huh?” Marie now looks thoroughly confused. Kim winks.

“Just think about it while I go order us some more drinks.”

Kimberly Williams practically jumps out of her seat and skips over towards the bar, leaving Marie alone. Well, not quite alone; she does have the company of Kim’s stuffed penguin pal Wasley. Marie sighs as she leans forward and studies the penguin closely.

“If I really want to be more like Kim I suppose I should start by talking to you, huh?” She laughs. “It’s sad. My boyfriend was arrested, skipped bail, and is now on the run from the law. I don’t even have you because you’re Kim’s stuffed toy, not mine.”

Marie let out a long, shuddering breath. She leaned back against the dark leather padding of the seat. The heavy weight of Percy’s arrest and subsequent run from the law was still sitting squarely on her chest, a suffocating mix of frustration, anger, and deep sadness that made the ambient noise of the bar feel miles away. Then, a shadow fell over the table.

A man in his late twenties, his button-down shirt unbuttoned one notch too far and his balance visibly compromised by a few too many draft beers, drifted over from the main bar rail. He held a half-empty tumbler of whiskey in one hand, his posture slouching into an easy, unearned confidence as he leaned his hip heavily against the wooden edge of the booth, encroaching on Marie’s space.

“Hey there,” he slurred slightly, a loose, lopsided smile spreading across his face as his eyes took in Marie’s tailored cardigan and elegant silhouette. “You look way too serious to be sitting in a corner all by yourself. Mind if I join you and brighten up your night a little?”

“No, I have company.”

“You mean the penguin?” He chuckles pointing at Wasley.

“No, as in an actual SOMEONE.” Marie insists. “Now go away.”

“Awww now don’t be like that…”

Just then, taking a page clearly out of her twin’s playbook, Marie lunges up and forward. She snatches the drunk by his throat and glares with hatred into his eyes.

“I said no…” Marie states pointedly “...now I suggest you leave unless you want me to peel the skin from your body.”

“Damn, you’re crazy!” The man pushes Marie away. He stumbles away from the table and away from The Phoenix as fast as he can. Jones gets comfortable again, leaning back in her chair. A smile forms on her face.

Crazy. Just like Kimmy. That felt empowering. It felt good. Maybe she should take more lessons from her identical twin? Being a little psychotic and unhinged ahead of a violent ladder match at Rise To Greatness could just be what the doctor ordered, especially if she hopes to become the SCW United States Champion.

But Jones does not get the opportunity to revel in her minor triumph long before she hears more footsteps approaching. Is this loser back again?

“I told you, I’m not interested.” Marie says, not even bothering to look and see who it is.

“You might be, but not for the reasons you think.” This voice is different, but definitely male. Jones turns and sees another man, slightly older than the last one who had just made a pass at her. He’s dressed nicer too; in nice denim jeans, a white polo, and a blazer. Still, dressed nice or not, Marie has no patience for him. She waves her hand dismissively at him.

“I’m not interested. Go away.”

“Oh I knew it was you the moment I saw you.” He remarks. “I don’t forget a face.”

“Do I know you?” Marie arches her brow out of curiosity.

“Don’t play coy with me, Ms. Jones.” He chuckles. “I am Marcus Archer. I was your agent for a very brief time when you insisted on doing that nude photoshoot almost a decade ago.”

The mention of the nude photoshoot instantly brings back Marie’s memories. Back when her identical twin sister Kimberly Williams was even more unhinged than before, back when Kim was so insane that she thought taking Marie’s place was the only way she could have happiness, Kim had done just that; she kidnapped Marie, took her place in her life, and tried to ruin her reputation by posing nude in a magazine under her name. It was an embarrassment for Jones and, despite getting the truth out, people to this day don’t believe her.

“You always were a unique, strange person, Ms. Jones, and the way you handled that drunk just proves how special you are.”

Marie’s initial reaction is to tell this guy the truth and convince him to get lost. But then another idea sparks into her head. A smirk forms upon her face.

“Yeah, that’s me, I am special, I am so special that I have fake names and pseudonyms galore.”

“So you’re telling me that Marie Jones isn’t your real name?”

“Nope.”

“So what shall I call you?”

“Kimberly. Kimberly Williams.”

“Well, Kimberly,” he chuckles “do you think I could interest you in another photoshoot sometime? You can keep your clothes on this time if you like?”

“Sure. But only under my real name.” She smirks. “I think it’s time the world met the real Kimberly Williams.”

“Wonderful.” He reaches into his coat pocket and produces a card. He hands it to Marie. “Call me.”

“I will.”

Marcus Archer walks away. Marie places his card in her pocket and smirks knowingly. She notices Kimberly walk back to the table and take her seat next to Wasley the penguin. Kimmy watches Marcus walk away with curiosity. Marie can’t help but wonder if Kim even remembers him. But Kim’s next question seems to answer that for her.

“Who was that?”

“Oh, it was no one important. Just some idiot trying to make a pass at me. I told him to get lost.”

“Good for you.” Kim says. She has two drinks in her hand, one of which she passes to Marie. “This is the strongest stuff they had. It’s time for you to start being like me, sis!”

“Way ahead of you.” Marie says as she takes a sip of the drink.

“Oh and sis?”

“Yeah?”

“The bartender gave me this.” She passes Marie a note. “The bartender says he didn’t recognize the guy who gave it to him, just that it was meant for you.”

“What is it?” Marie opens up the note and begins to read it out loud. “Marie…I hope you find this and I am sure you are tired of hearing this, but I am sorry. I am sorry for letting you down. I am sorry for causing so much trouble in your life. I need you, Marie. I need you more than anything. If you can find it in your heart to forgive me then please, join me, join me and…” Marie cannot bear to read any more of the note. She stops as her emotions overwhelm her. Kim drops her jovial facade for a moment and stares at her with genuine concern.

“What is it?”

“It’s Percy.” Marie sighs. “He wants me to run away with him.”

“That jerk.” Kim growls. “Are you sure you don’t want me to maim him?”

Marie balls up the note and shoves it into her pocket. Before Marie could smooth over the sudden flare of emotion or take another sip of her drink, a heavy, measured shadow crossed the booth’s wooden table, cutting through the warm amber glow of the candle. The newcomer didn't possess the staggering sway of a patron who had indulged too freely at the bar rail, nor did he carry the polished, predatory swagger of the talent agent who had just walked away. His presence was deliberate, grounded, and unmistakably institutional, radiating the kind of quiet, cold authority that instantly dialed down the ambient noise of a room.

He was a broad-shouldered man in his late forties, wearing a dark gray, rain-slicked trench coat over a rumpled charcoal suit and a muted tie. His dark hair was silvering at the temples, cut short and practical, and his face was etched with the worn, tired lines of someone who spent most of his life working late shifts under flickering precinct fluorescents. He stood at the edge of their table with his hands tucked loosely into his coat pockets, his sharp, tired eyes dropping first to the balled-up piece of paper bulging slightly in Marie’s pocket, then sweeping over Kimberly’s leather jacket, before finally settling on Marie with a look of stern, professional recognition.

Without saying a word, he slowly unbuttoned his coat and shifted it back just enough to reveal a polished silver detective’s badge pinned to his leather belt next to a holstered sidearm. He didn't rush to pull out a notepad or demand an immediate accounting of their evening. He simply stood there, an anchor of cold reality disrupting the sisters' chaotic night, waiting for the heavy silence to settle over the booth so he could state his business.

“Ms. Jones?”

“Who wants to know?” Marie asks.

“I’m Detective Vance.” He answers. “I’m currently looking for your boyfriend, Percy Matthews.”

“I don’t have a boyfriend.” Marie states angrily.

“That’s not what I heard.” Vance says. “I heard you were his latest main squeeze.”

“We WERE an item, past tense.” Marie corrects him. “That was until I learned he had been lying to me this entire time about his parole violations and drug use. Quite honestly, detective, I don’t really care what happens to him at this point. I have washed my hands of him. I am through with him.”

“Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way, Ms. Jones.” Detective Vance remarks. “I cannot take your word for it. Fugitives on the run typically run towards their loved ones for help and support. It is very possible that he has approached you looking for help.” He narrows his brow, studying her intensely. “Are you hiding him, Ms. Jones? Do you know where he is?”

“I have no idea where he is.” Marie insists. “If I did, I would tell you, because I want you to lock him up and throw away the key.”

“Again, I cannot just take your word for it.” Vance remarks. “You DO know the consequences of harboring a fugitive, correct?”

“I do.” She nods her head. “But trust me, I am not helping him. I am DONE helping that asshole.”

“Very well.” The detective hands Marie his card. “If you hear something, or if he DOES try to contact you, this is my card. Call me immediately.”

The detective turns and walks away. Marie and Kim watch him carefully as he slowly gets out of sight. Once he is gone Kim leans forward and whispers quietly to her twin sister.

“Well…that was interesting timing…”

“Yeah.”

“Do you know what you’re going to do?”

“Yes.” Marie smirks knowingly. “I know exactly what I’m going to do.”

Marie reached into her pocket, her fingers brushing past the fresh business card from Marcus Archer before wrapping around the crumpled ball of paper Percy had sent her. Slowly, methodically, she pulled the note out and smoothed it flat against the dark wood of the table, right next to the condensation rings left by her wine glass. Her eyes traced the desperate, scribbled handwriting one final time, the amber candlelight catching the slight tremor in her hands. Across the booth, Kimberly watched her sister with rare, unblinking stillness, her usual manic grin replaced by a sharp, quiet focus as she waited to see which path her twin would choose. Even Wasley seemed to stare with weighted anticipation from his leather-vested perch.

With a cold, decisive motion, Marie pulled Detective Vance’s business card from where it sat on the table. She didn't hesitate. She took the crumpled note, folded it neatly around the detective's card, and slipped both into the pocket of her tailored cardigan. The anger that had been simmering beneath her elegant facade all evening had finally crystallized into something absolute. Percy Matthews had taken her money, her trust, and her patience, relying on her grace as a shield while he ran from his own bad choices. But the days of playing the soft-hearted, forgiving partner were officially over. She picked up her glass of heavy spirits, tilting it toward Kimberly in a silent, solemn toast. A subtle, sharp smirk touched the corners of her lips, reflecting a flash of the unyielding, unpredictable fire that usually belonged exclusively to her twin.

Kimberly’s face instantly split into a wide, triumphant grin. She slammed her own glass against Marie’s with a clink that rang out over the pub's low background noise, completely satisfied with her sister's subtle descent into vengeance. The Phoenix wasn't just preparing for a violent ladder match at Rise To Greatness; she was burning down the remnants of her past and taking total control of her own narrative. As Marie took a long, slow sip of her drink, the quiet bar felt less like a place to drown her sorrows and more like the launching pad for a far more dangerous version of Marie Jones.

Albany, New York

The damp, heavy heat seemed to pool in the narrow, outdoor walkway of the crumbling, low slung motel tucked behind an overgrown stretch of state highway just outside of Albany. The neon sign at the front office flickered with a rhythmic, buzzing hum, casting a sickly yellow light over a cracked parking lot that smelled faintly of sour garbage and old motor oil. It was the exact kind of place that thrived on invisibility, a transient haven where the night clerk barely looked up from his black and white television and the paper registration cards were filled out under fake names with zero questions asked. Marie stood outside room one fourteen, her shadow stretched long and thin across the peeling yellow paint of the door. She was dressed down for the trip in a slate gray zip up hoodie over a black tank top, her fitted dark jeans tucked into sturdy leather boots that made no sound against the concrete. Her coppery red hair was gathered into a loose braid draped over one shoulder, but her face was a carved mask of cold, unyielding purpose. The days of searching, of chasing down quiet leads through old street contacts while trying to keep her Supreme Championship Wrestling obligations from unspooling, had stripped away whatever gentle patience she had left.

Without knocking, she inserted the cheap plastic keycard she had managed to acquire into the lock. The small light flashed green, and with a sharp, heavy turn of the handle, she pushed the door open and stepped inside. The room smelled instantly of stale tobacco smoke, damp carpet, and the sharp, chemical tang of cheap disinfectant trying to cover up decades of neglect. The only light came from the pale blue glow of an old tube television mounted in the corner, its volume muted, casting eerie, shifting patterns over the faded floral bedspread and the water stained ceiling tiles. Near the far wall, squeezed into the narrow space between the squeaking bedframe and the curtained window, was Percy. The change in him since he had fled her luxurious home in Boston was startling. He looked like a man who hadn't slept a full hour in a week. He was hunched over, his broad shoulders drawn up tight to his ears, dressed in a wrinkled black t-shirt and dirt smeared jeans. His hair was wild and unwashed, sticking out in dark tufts, and a heavy stubble shadowed his jaw, accentuating the hollows of his cheeks.

When the door swung open, he didn't just turn; he practically leaped out of his skin. He backed hard against the thin drywall, his hands coming up in a instinctual, guarded posture, his dark eyes wide, bloodshot, and frantic as they darted around the dim room as if he expected a tactical squad to burst through the bathroom door right behind her. A nervous, sweat sheen covered his forehead despite the weak chill of the wall mounted air conditioner, and his fingers twitched wildly against his thighs, constantly opening and closing in a manic rhythm. He was practically vibrating with pure, unadulterated paranoia, looking less like a man on the run and more like a cornered animal waiting for the net to drop.

“Marie?!” Percy seems shocked, stunned that she actually showed up despite the fact that he himself got that note to her. “Is it…is it really you?”

“It’s not Kimmy if that’s what you’re worried about.” Marie says playfully.

“Oh God, Marie, I didn’t think you would actually show up!” He exclaims approaching her cautiously. “I knew I was taking a huge risk in reaching out to you with that note but I…I just had to see you. I can’t live without you.”

“I know.” Marie nods her head. “I know.”

The paranoid fugitive looks around. He rushes past Marie and briefly looks outside the door from side to side before stepping back inside and shutting it. Marie doesn’t let his paranoia bother her. He is on the run from law enforcement. She understands. Percy looks at her nervously, his eyes twitching.

“Were you followed?”

“No, I wasn’t.”

“Are you sure?”

“I’m sure.” Marie insists, lovingly rubbing her hands across his chest. “It’s just us.”

“Oh thank God.” Percy sighs. He walks over to the bed and sits down on it. “I am so sorry, Marie. I am sorry for running off like I did. I am sorry for violating parole and then skipping out on the court date. I am so very sorry but…”

“But what?” Marie asks sternly.

“I was just afraid.” Percy admits. “I was afraid of going back to prison.”

The Phoenix sighs, listening to him whine. Listening to him cry. She calmly and quietly walks over to the bed and sits down next to him. She looks over at him, into his eyes, and what comes out of her mouth isn’t warmth, love, and understanding. It is simple, cold judgment.

“You hurt me.” She says. “You lied to me when you told me you had quit drinking. You fell right off the wagon and starting getting drunk again and partying, back to your old ways. Then you lied to me about the drugs…”

“No, I didn’t lie.” Percy insists. “I said I wasn’t using drugs and I wasn’t.”

“But you were DEALING the drugs. You were PUSHING them.” Marie snaps at him angrily. “Quit splitting hairs about drug use.” She sighs. “And when you got arrested for violating parole, you begged me to bail you out so I did. I paid your bond because you promised me you would face the court, trust the justice system, and do your time. But what did you do? You lied to me again. You skipped town and ran.”

“I know, I have been awful.” Percy admits shaking his head. “But I missed you terribly, Marie. I really have. And being on the run, away from you, it drove me crazy. It made me realize that I have to have you. I have to be with you. That’s why I took this risk, that’s why I risked everything to be with you. I missed you, Marie.”

“I…” her voice trails off “...I missed you too, Percy.” Their lips meet and they passionately kiss. For a brief moment they both forget about their troubles. The only think of themselves and this very moment of love.

“So tell me, how is that boy of yours?”

“Sean?” Marie smiles proudly. “He is still training at my cousins wrestling school overseas in London. He’s back right now briefly on a break.”

“Wow, he’s really doing it isn’t he? He is following in his mom’s footsteps.” Percy says. “He’s going to be a third generation wrestler someday.”

“Hopefully.”

“I wish I could have spent more time with the kid.” Percy says, sounding regretful.

“Sean adored you.” Marie admits.

“I loved him as if he were my own son.” Percy says quietly. “Marie…”

“Yes?”

“Is there any chance that you and Sean might trust me again?”

“Maybe.” Marie says quietly. “But only if you legitimately straighten your life out. If you legitimately turn your life around and start doing the right thing.”

“I know that’s what you want, and I swear I will try, but I can’t…” he shakes his head “...I can’t go back to prison. You have no idea what it’s like, Marie. I just can’t turn myself in. I can’t go back.”

“Yeah, I understand.” Marie nods her head. “You’re right, I have no idea what prison is like. It must be hell.”

“It is.” Percy sighs. “But look, let’s forget about that. We’re together again, just like were meant to be. So let’s go out, huh? I know of a small bar that i slow key and no one will ask questions and no one will notice them.” He chuckles. “It may not be up to your standards but it is the best someone on the run can do. You know?”

“Yes, I would like that.”

The heavy wooden door of room one fourteen swung open, letting in the thick, oppressive heat of the upstate New York night. Percy stepped out first into the dim glow of the flickering yellow neon sign, a fleeting, foolish sense of relief relaxing the hard line of his shoulders as he turned to hold the door for Marie. He offered her a faint, conspiratorial smile, genuinely believing that the dark storm between them had finally passed, that he had somehow managed to manipulate his way back into her good graces.

That fragile illusion lasted for less than three seconds.

Out from the deep shadows of the overgrown tree line and from behind the rusted dumpsters at the edge of the cracked parking lot, half a dozen armed officers from the local police department and state troopers swarmed the narrow walkway. Tactical flashlights cut through the murky yellow haze with blinding, piercing intensity, blinding Percy instantly as harsh, echoing commands roared out through the muggy air, demanding he drop to the pavement.

Percy didn't even have the chance to react or run. Before his brain could process the trap closing in around him, two heavy hands grabbed him by his black t-shirt, yanking him violently off the walkway and slamming him face first onto the hood of an unmarked cruiser. The cold metal dented under his weight as his arms were wrenched behind his back, the sharp, metallic double click of the handcuffs echoing clearly over the idling police engines.

Panicked and gasping for air against the hot hood of the car, Percy twisted his neck frantically, his bloodshot eyes searching through the harsh glare of the flashlights for Marie. He expected to see terror on her face, expected her to be screaming or caught in the crossfire of his mess.

Instead, Marie stood perfectly still on the concrete walkway, completely unbothered by the sudden, overwhelming chaos surrounding them. She didn't flinch at the shouting, nor did she make a single move to step in or defend him. Her slate gray hoodie was zipping smoothly up to her throat as she calmly adjusted the strap of her bag over her shoulder. Her vibrant copper braid fell neatly over her chest, and her sharp green eyes watched the arrest unfold with a terrifying, absolute detachment. There was no sadness in her expression, no lingering warmth from the kiss they had shared moments ago, and not a single shred of surprise. As the lead detective offered her a brief, silent nod of acknowledgment for delivering the fugitive on a silver platter.

“Marie!” Percy shouts. “You…you set me up!”

“Damn right I did!” She shouts angrily at him. “You lied to me so many times, Percy! You betrayed me! Now you know what it feels like!”

“But…”

“No!” She shouts angrily. “I’m done listening to your pathetic excuses! You claim you want to turn your life around for me? Now you get the chance…IN PRISON! Do your time, Percy. Prove you are sincere.”

The camera begins to roll. Perched atop a steel A-frame ladder, situated outdoors amidst a vibrant, sunlit garden, is “The Phoenix” Marie Jones with long, cascading red hair and green-hazel eyes. She wears a vibrant red sleeveless top with a plunging v-neckline, made of a crinkled fabric. She is also wearing a black mini-skirt and distinctive black and white herringbone patterned tights. Around her neck is the layered necklace with a prominent black pendant, and her wrist is adorned with stacked bracelets. Her pose on the ladder is casual; she is balanced on the top step, hands casually linked and resting in her lap, looking out with a direct, slightly contemplative expression. A light, warm breeze slightly lifts strands of her long red hair, and her features are bathed in natural sunlight. Her black open-toed shoes are resting on the step below.

“You know, it is ironic, because one thing I like to say…my catchphrase if you will…is that this Phoenix will rise. And I mean it. I am the mythical phoenix who keeps rising up from the ashes no matter how many times she keeps getting knocked down. So yeah, it is ironic that this Phoenix will get the opportunity to Rise…To Greatness…” Jones snickers “...except I am growing sick and tired of the constant ups and downs that goes with being the mythical Phoenix. But what can you do, right? It goes with the territory. The Phoenix constantly rises, falls, dies, and is reborn, and rises again. A constant never ending vicious cycle of violent death and rebirth. So maybe it’s a good thing that this year in Detroit, Michigan at Ford Field, this fire bird doesn’t have to rise through flight. I can RISE up from the ashes and RISE to greatness through the use of a ladder. I like that. And I like the fact that this is a ladder match. Why?” She smirks knowingly.

“Because it is different. I’m willing to admit that I have made mistakes, I am willing to admit that I need to look in the mirror, find out what I have done wrong, and try to do something different, because the past few years have not been kind to me. My previous runs in SCW have been up to the lofty standards of the Jones Wrestling Family. I know I can do better, I know I can be better, so maybe I do need to try something different for a change and you don’t get much more different or unique than this insane ladder match at Rise To Greatness.” She points up into the sky. “The United States Championship will be dangling high overhead and the only way to retrieve it is by a ladder. Everything is legal. Quite like my sister Kimmy’s Underground. Anything goes. So perhaps maybe, just this once, it’s time for The Phoenix to be just a little more violent, be a little more ruthless, and be a little more hardcore? I admit, it isn’t what I’m known for, but if you have watched my family then you know that violence runs deep in our bloodline. My mother wrote the book on ultra violence long before Kimmy became the Queen of the Death Match. So do you think The Phoenix can take it to the extreme in this ladder match all in the name of becoming champion?” She nods her head. “You damn right I can.” Jones pauses and then shakes her head.

“But there is one thing I do not like…Dexter Grant, you smug son of a bitch, I had you beaten. I had you dead to rights and like the coward you are, you screwed me and the great fans out of a true finish. You know I had your number, you knew I was going to beat your ass, so you screwed me over. By all rights it should be you and me one on one in this ladder match at Rise To Greatness. It should be me with the opportunity to beat your ass from pillar to post, bloody you, bludgeon you, maim you, and hell, maybe even cripple you with that ladder. It should be me beating you until you can no longer move, forcing you to lay there flat on your back and watch as I climb that ladder, retrieve the championship, and become the NEW SCW United States Champion. That is what it should be.” Marie laughs sarcastically.

“Oh but we can’t do anything that makes sense, can we? We have to open the door to anyone who wants to play! Chris Lawler hasn’t won squat in months. But so what? Let’s put him in there! The European Fiery Nation has been reduced to being the CEO’s hired guns and, like Lawler, haven’t won anything in a long time. But sure! Throw Oskar Theron in the mix!” She places her hand over her mouth. “Oops, I just spoke ill of Frank’s favorites. But I thought I was a sell-out? There goes that logic! And then there’s the two idiots trying desperately to spread that crappy tale; The Glimmer Sisters.” She snickers.

“I have tried to be nice and respectful ever since I returned because I’m not here looking to make enemies. I just want to compete. That’s all. Yet you went out of your way to pick a fight with me? So the nice and respectful bit is over. Let me be completely honest with you as to why you are in this match. You are in this match because of me.” Marie nods her head. “Apologies to all of my fans if I sound narcissistic or arrogant but it’s true. You are in this match because you picked a fight with me and so it just makes sense to throw you in the match, otherwise you two clowns will have to sit on the sidelines and do absolutely nothing. I mean, you certainly wouldn’t have a spot on the Rise To Greatness card based on anything you earned. You had a Trios Contract, girls, and you squandered it. You blew it. You put yourselves in a situation where you could compete against Light in the Darkness…they had to tag and abide by the rules but you could do whatever the hell you liked…and YOU STILL LOST!” She shakes her head in disgust. “This is a sympathy match for you two, plain and simple.”

“But me…and I want everyone to hear this…I EARNED this spot on the Rise To Greatness card. I EARNED this shot at the United States Championship. I earned it because I had Dexter Grant beaten until he cowardly ran away. And to anyone who thinks I’m a sell-out, who thinks Franky has bought me? Let me remind you that clown could have named me champion and if I was a sell-out I would have taken it and walked away but I didn’t. Even though Grant ran away like a coward and screwed me over, I STILL want to win the championship the right way. I do not want anyone handing me a god damn thing. If I was kissing ass or someone’s favorite or a sell-out, this match would be one on one and not me against everyone and their cousin. But I don’t need to prove myself to anyone because I know who I am and where my loyalties lie.”

“I am The Phoenix. I am Marie Jones. My loyalties lie with my fans, my family, and everyone who has stood by me even when the times were tough. And yes, things just keep getting tougher. You don’t get much tougher than a multi-person ladder match where literally anything could happen. Yet still I am ready to embrace the challenge, I am ready to climb the ladder and rise from the ashes yet again just like the mythical of phoenix. I am ready to RISE…to Greatness…and become the NEW SCW United States Champion.” A soft, determined chuckle escapes her lips as she leans slightly forward on the top rung of the ladder, her green-hazel eyes locking directly into the camera lens with absolute intensity.

“So to Dexter, Oskar, Lawler, and the Glimmer Sisters; enjoy the view from the bottom while it lasts. You can throw every obstacle, every piece of steel, and every dishonest trick you have at me in Detroit. It won’t change a damn thing. I have bled in this ring, I have fallen more times than I care to count, and every single time, I have clawed my way back to my feet. That is what a Jones does. That is what I do.” She gestures toward the skyline behind her, the bright sunlight catching the fiery strands of her hair as a confident smile plays across her face.

“Ford Field is going to witness history. I am taking every bit of frustration, every piece of violence hardcoded into my DNA, and I am turning it into momentum. When the dust settles and the bodies are scattered across that canvas, it won't be Frank's favor or a handout taking that belt home. It will be heart. It will be pure, unadulterated grit. I’m climbing to the very top, reaching out, and bringing that United States Championship down where it belongs.” Marie slowly shifts on the step, extending one hand toward the lens, her fingers curling into a tight, decisive fist.

“You wanted extreme? You’re about to get it. Watch me rise.” With a final, sharp nod, she leans back into her casual perch. The camera holds on her striking, unyielding gaze for a beat before fading to black.

Many people assumed that everything they saw from the Glimmer Sisters was an act.

After all, how many women do you know who are so proudly addicted to flaunting their sexy bodies and trying to whip everybody around them into a horny frenzy?

The truth is that while there was an act going on, it wasn't what you probably thought.

Contrary to popular belief, Gia & Gina actually did enjoy flaunting their figures and drawing the gaze of every male and female nearby, and they truly believed they were the hottest people in any given room. When they proudly tell the world they're proud to be slutty sinners showing off everything they're packing, they mean it.

The real act was in how much they kept up the illusion of arrogance to hide their problems.

After all, if no one sees anything wrong, they can't use it against you.

Not that it seemed to stop certain individuals out there from trying.

The twins wanted to say this road to Rise To Greatness had been even more underwhelming than last year, but they knew that wasn't a fair comparison to make. Last year they had just debuted around this time and won two easy tag matches, and being booked for the pre-show made it clear that there were no expectations of them quite yet.

By comparison, this year they were coming off not only a world title bid in easily the hottest match in SCW history, but also the end of their second tag title run. What had seemed like a minor speed bump in the grand scheme of things quickly spiraled into chaos even they couldn't control. Their plan to simply use their rematch and either force Amelia to wrestle twice or Luz to defend by herself seemed to evaporate when old lady Glory stuck her crusty cunt into business she didn't belong in, probably sucking off Franky D. to get a one-on-one dance with Luz so he had an out to deny them their rematch.

Then they had somehow ended up having what should've been another easy win over a pair of social outcasts acting too smart for their own good thrown out entirely, which no doubt fed into Frank's desire to keep them away from championship gold at all costs and meant Dexter Grant especially wasn't quite off their list just yet.

Then Amelia's unwarranted ego just had to be checked, not by the Glimmers, but by the fucking Frosts of all people who were now in possession of their titles. They at least made it clear to Deanna, who seemed to be taking Luz's place on standing alone now, that they were taking their gold back sooner rather than later, but the fact that they were being denied another chance to have some fun trying to crack open the Light in the Darkness like the sexually repressed eggs they were irked them.

Perhaps the only things that seemed to go right for them lately were another easy money win over the European Fiery Nation, getting under the skin of Marie Jones to make it clear who the superior twins were around here, and “earning” themselves a chance to become U.S. champions in the process.

They could care less if the title was supposed to be a singles title, or that there were five other people they'd have to deal with to claim it. A ladder match was right up their alley, and as far as they were concerned, if they wanted to share that belt after they pulled it down, nobody was going to stop them.

Gina: You ready to teach these idiots all about the Glimmer Rules regarding championships, sis?

Gia: All that Glimmers is gold and none of these dipshits are ready for how we're going to play this match.

Gia & Gina were all smiles as they strutted around the grounds where Cirque du Sins had set up shop in Detroit, conveniently close enough to Ford Field that Lucian had taken full advantage of anybody believing it was part of the Rise To Greatness festivities. Needless to say, the past several nights of shows had made absolute bank for the adult circus, proving that despite Antonio's efforts to rearrange the terms of Lucian's loan to him and trying to forcibly lay claim to the twins' SCW pay day on top of it, Lucian and his menagerie of horny freaks weren't just going to roll over and play dead for the latino lunatic.

Still, the reminder of everything that loomed over their heads now soured the sisters' mood, as stressing out over it was why they had been even more annoyingly arrogant than usual, especially when the cameras were rolling.

Antonio frustrated the hell out of them, and they were getting sick of him. Vincent wasn't too much better, proving that he was basically Antonio but mostly more emotionally stable. They weren't surprised the two of them had practically become obsessed with Glimmermania the moment they caught sight of them... Gia & Gina were easily the kind of whores who could make bank dancing at one of Antonio's clubs while he indulged in any of his more illicit business dealings or make the greatest porn film ever under Vincent's directing skills. Their mere existence may as well be heaven on earth to the two most vile assholes they'd ever had the displeasure of meeting, and the fact they'd been so resistant to abandoning their love of the raunchy circus to play ball under either of them clearly drove them more insane than they tried so hard to let on.

But then there was the matter that truly pissed them off... a certain someone who didn't deserve to suffer under either man's twisted abuse, but clearly thought so lowly of himself that he was even refusing the help they were trying to give him.

Gia: You haven't seen Angel around at all lately, have you?

Gina: Not since our chat with him on that Miami beach three weeks ago...

The Glimmers were struggling to figure out where things stood with the drag queen who was as much a part of their circus family as he was a sex slave for Antonio. He had stood up to protect them when Antonio had tried to murder them outright at the end of last year, even knowing the punishment he'd endure as a result. They thought he'd genuinely tried to be a part of Cirque du Sins to create a better life for himself while still indulging in the kinky fun he clearly loved as much as everyone else here. But he'd also come clean about coming back and being in the rotation because he was meant to be a spy Vincent planted to unearth secret information about the two of them... a task he'd ultimately failed as the twins caught on, but info Vincent and Antonio had ultimately gotten their hands on anyway through a ghost of the past they tried to leave behind.

Gina: Wherever he is, I hope he's alright.

Gia: I... part of me wishes the same, sis, but... I also can't just ignore the fact that he still willingly crawled back to that abusive asshole and tried to sell us out to him.

Gina: I'm not disagreeing Gia... but I also understand where he's coming from. Fuck only knows how much worse things have gotten for him since New Year's, and if he's simply trying to survive...

Gia hissed, hating that her sister was right and feeling bad for Angel despite the fact that he'd almost sold them out to the worst people on the planet if they hadn't been careful. It was a complicated mess and required a nuance neither one of them was used to working with, but damn if they weren't trying all the same.

Gia: I just hope that Antonio and Vincent haven't done anything too terrible to him, because if I see those motherfuckers again, I'm... the fuck is all this?

Gia found her bubbling anger trailing off as she and Gina stepped into the big top and saw the center ring alive with activity. Considering they'd been putting on shows constantly and raking in the dough all week, this shouldn't have been surprising, but what threw them off was that this practice didn't seem to be for any routines meant for their usual show. No, given the way everyone was lined up and making the most out of small spaces they had claimed beside one another, this almost looked specifically choreographed for a much smaller stage, all under Lucian's giddy grin.

Lucian: That's it mates! Keep that bloody fucking energy alive, yeah? Remember we'll be in tight quarters and dealing with lights and pyro different from how we fucking do things here, so master your bloody fucking spaces like the proud sinful sluts you are!

Gina: Hey Lucy! What the hell's all this about?

Gia: And why the hell weren't we invited to the party?

Lucian turned to face his star attractions, and instead of looking annoyed like he usually might, he instead couldn't help but laugh his obese ass off.

Lucian: Well, guess the bloody cat's out of the fucking bag now, mates! We were waitin' to spill the tea until we were closer to the night, buuuuuuut~ we figured you two might appreciate some backup when you dance those hot juicy asses of yours down to the ring for your match, yeah?

Gia & Gina exchanged surprised looks.

Gia: You mean... this is for us?

Gina: You all want in on our Rise To Glimmer entrance?

Lucian: Of bloody fucking course we do! Not only is it perfect advertising for our shows under the big top, but considering you've both been havin' a rough go of it lately, we figured you could use the extra horny energy to show those other bloody ijits how well and truly FUCKED they all are!

Before the twins could say anything about Lucian's logic, they could hear everybody else chiming in as well, all voicing their desire to support the Glimmers in the raunchy broadcast-questionable way that only the sinful troupe of Cirque du Sins could. It genuinely stunned them to be confronted with just how loved they truly were around here, and not just because they made circus orgies so hot they could take the blame for causing global warming.

Antonio: Aw... isn't that cute?

Five seconds... that's all it took for that voice to sound over the positive noise and immediately make the twins' blood run cold.

All eyes turned to the area where the Glimmers had walked in from, and like an omen of misfortune wrapped in fur and cigarette smoke, Antonio strutted his way in like he owned the place, and in his mind, he was probably certain it was only inevitable. Vincent was right by his side, adjusting his pinstriped suit and grinning like he was about to be thoroughly entertained.

Lucian: What... what are you doing here, mate? I thought I already paid you for the month?

Antonio: You did Lucian, despite all odds given our new payment plan is in place. But I'm not here for you today... oh no, I'm here for the spicy chicas who insist on trying to be a problem for me.

Gia: Whatever you're selling, we're not buying, dickbag.

Vincent: Typical of the two of you... you puff out those tempting tits of yours, speak like you're the baddest bitches who ever lived, and think we're just gonna walk away if you tell us off. Funny, because, last I checked? We have a certain couple out there on standby who might be interested in hearing what's become of their daughters. What do you think, Tony? My money's on them breaking down in tears once they learn their precious girls have become total sluts.

Antonio: I'm kind of banking on mami and papi wanting us to fly them out here personally to beat some asses, though I may be the only one who might find that worth jacking off over.

The Glimmers both snarled in disgust as these two creeps continued to dangle the problem they were chained to over their heads. Ever since they'd somehow figured out that their old psychotic classmate Stryker knew who they used to be, the threat of actually invading the twins' personal lives and upending everything had been the proverbial guillotines ready to behead them at a moment's notice, all to “motivate” them in the name of Antonio's newfound gambling addiction, as if these assholes hadn't stockpiled enough illicit funds through legally dubious means as it was.

As much as they were proud of the women they'd become, even if no one else really seemed to understand this level of freedom like they did, they knew things with their parents hadn't ended on good terms and if that door was allowed to be opened again... they loved their mom and dad, truly, but they couldn't stand being forced to pursue a path that had been decided for them, a path they wanted nothing to do with... a path that was never them like being borderline porn stars performing jaw-dropping, erection-raising feats of agility and acrobatics was.

Gina: What do you want?

Antonio: A little better, but I could do without the clenched teeth when you submit, babe.

Vincent: Did you really think we wouldn't swing by and check out your big show for ourselves? We're paying customers, after all... even if we could just skip all the red tape, off a few nobodies no one will ever truly care about, and run SCW our way.

Antonio: Though your little circus seems to have done pretty well for itself this week... maybe I should re-evaluate your loan repayment plan again, Lucian.

Lucian: Please mate... leave my circus out of this beef. We're struggling enough at it is!

Gina: We agree with the fat fuck.

Lucian: Oi!

Gia: Whatever shit you have with us is separate from Cirque du Sins, so stop trying to handcuff the two issues together. You got shit to say to us, then say it to our faces!

Without an ounce of fear, Gia began stepping towards Antonio, and Gina was only a step behind her. Lucian and their fellow circus performers looked worried about whatever was about to happen, and the twins couldn't blame them. On the other side, Vincent seemed intrigued by this turn of events, while Antonio, ever the hothead, looked annoyed... to the point where he stopped the Glimmers' advance by whipping out a familiar gaudy ass revolver and making it clear with a single click the safety was off.

Antonio: Now that we've established who's in control here, chicas, let me lay out my little dilemma. See, I noticed the both of you happen to be involve in a little... ladder match this Sunday night with one single title on the line. Believe me, I would love to hedge my bets and go big on the both of you, but my bookie happens to be a bit of a hardass and I can't help but love him for that. He's got a strict rule for wrestling bullshit of only betting on one winner per match.

Vincent: Looking at your field, I think it's a no-brainer a Glimmer's going to win. I mean... one of those European embarrassments? Another man who hasn't won jack and shit in months? A ginger who hasn't won anything since she came back and fell flat on her pretty little face? A Canadian biker cunt who would look so much better getting railed by some real hogs in my studio?

Antonio: Not to mention that fucking useless waste of space who's obsessed with destroying social media or whatever! But therein lies my problem... a Glimmer's going to win, but which Glimmer? Hm? I need your help to decide which of you pretty little sluts I'm going to back so Big Papi can go home an even wealthier man.

Gia: Yeah, see, there's a problem with your stupid plan...

Gina: We plan on being co-champions, fuck whatever SCW thinks.

Antonio: Ah, see, that really~ doesn't help me, nor does your attitude. Maybe I should say this another way... how about you tell me which one of you will actually walk into that match on Sunday night for your little show?

Antonio began moving the revolver back and forth between the twins, his finger slowly squeezing the trigger more and more as the Glimmers stood their ground, but despite the look in their eyes, they were scared shitless. They wanted to think Antonio wouldn't actually try to kill one of them just to decide who to actually bet on by literally eliminating the other Glimmer option, but considering he'd already shown consequences would be damned with him and Vincent didn't seem too keen on stopping him...

Angel: Leave them alone.

The next thing anybody knew, a hand was reaching between Antonio and Vincent and grabbing the revolver, forcibly pointing it towards the floor in case Antonio tried to respond by just firing it anyway. Both men looked surprised to see Angel interfering yet again, not a hint of his makeup or drag getup to be found as he used his normally skinny frame to slip between both men to stand between them and the Glimmers.

Vincent: Angel, babe, what do you think you're doing?

Antonio: You're not repeating the same mistake you made back around New Year's now, are you puta? Because you remember...

Angel: Yeah, I remember the hell you put me through, and it was worth it. I'll gladly endure that again if it gets the point across that this bullshit is stupid.

Antonio: Now Angel... don't forget who owns you-

To the surprise of everyone, Angel refused to let Antonio continue that sentence as he used the revolver to yank the loan shark in and knee him right in the dick! With gasps in Spanish, Antonio dropped to his knees as Angel threw the revolver aside, away from the lunatic. This, however, caused Vincent to reach out and grab him by the throat before violently pulling him in until they were nose-to-nose.

Vincent: That was a very stupid move Angel.

Angel: Maybe it was... but I'm tired of you two dickbags thinking you can always get your way. They have nothing to do with your fragile egos.

That comment earned Angel a nasty punch that drew blood, clearly breaking his nose.

Vincent: Care to rephrase, whore?

Gia: How about something like...

Gina: ...get fucked, asshole!

Before Vincent ever saw it coming, Gia & Gina both lunged past Angel and drilled him right in the eyes with stereo superkicks, sending the deranged porn director to the ground as he quickly rubbed his eyes, clearly not used to actually taking such hits as he complained about being unable to see. As the Glimmers all supported Angel while he caught his breath, they stared down at Antonio, who glanced over towards his revolver... only to see that Lucian had actually wandered over to retrieve it before aiming it right at his face with a murderous look that no one had ever seen from him before.

Lucian: I suggest you two get the bloody hell out of my goddamned circus while you have the chance.

To say that Antonio was in absolute disbelief was the understatement of the century, but as he caught his breath he found himself slowly pulling himself back to his feet, stumbling over to collect Vincent while clutching at his aching groin, all while Vincent continued to bitch and moan about the twins kicking him in the eyes. Before he assisted his partner in crime out, though, he turned to everyone with a look that reminded them all of a rabid animal frothing at the mouth.

Antonio: You all fucked up today...

As Antonio and Vincent shambled away, the tension in the big top slowly died as Angel collapsed against Gia, looking at both her and Gina with a stupid grin that touched their hearts in ways they hadn't truly felt in a long time.

Angel: Like I said... worth it.

There was obviously a whole conversation that still needed to be had, but that could wait. Right now, Angel needed to recover, Lucian and the rest of the circus had a special act to perfect, and the Glimmer Sisters had a ladder match to win together.

SCW could try to force only one of them to win all they wanted. In their eyes, if Antonio and Vincent couldn't stop them despite threatening their lives literally and metaphorically, then no one in SCW could truly stop them from Rising To Glimmer... I mean, Greatness.

One would think that if Rise To Greatness is going to have a ladder match for the United States title, then someone would really go out of their way to really give the people what they want: a taste of the true American spirit to show who really deserves to wear the belt representing the stars and stripes. Someone seems to have decided to do just that, and it's resulted in probably one of the craziest scenes we could've possibly stumbled upon. We hear motorcycles revving, we see sparklers dancing in front of our view, but our focus beyond all of that? It's on the good ol' American flag... kind of. It becomes clear very quickly that our view is actually consumed entirely by a pair of very ample asses, and American flag thongs do their part in making you want to pledge allegiance to the raw sexual spirit of the United States of America. In the midst of all of this, we here several voices of all different ranges singing their take on a very familiar tune.

Voices: Hail to the champs we have chosen for the nation! Hail to the asses, we salute them, one and all! Hail to the titties as we pledge allegiance, in proud fulfillment of a hot and sexy call! Yours is the spirit to make this sexy country sexier! This you will do, that's our rock hard belief! Hail to the bombshells we worship as our goddesses! Hail to the Glimmers, hail to the champs!

This “remixed” rendition of “Hail to The Chief” is followed by tons of cheering as we slowly pull away from the tantalizing sight, and perhaps it's no surprise that those perfect peaches are revealed to belong to the Glimmer Sisters. Gia & Gina both slowly turn to face us, swiveling their hips as they reveal their tops are literally just tiny white glittery stars barely covering their nipples tied up with red and blue string, and it's not hard to assume we're on the grounds of wherever Cirque du Sins has set up shop in Detroit... which seems to be fairly close to Ford Field as it and tons of SCW-related activities can be seen in the background within walking distance. Not to mention the twins are surrounded by their fellow circus freaks, who've all put on their best appearances when it comes to making you want to simply rip off your pants and go to town right now. Feel free to pause the video if you need to, this horny menagerie would happily understand. Jugglers are tossing lit sparklers between them around the Glimmers, and as if paying homage to the Motor City, it seems the circus has a new act in the form of motorcycle stunt riders leaping through flaming hoops while wearing probably the tightest suits that have ever been designed to intentionally show off everything as they make some rather suggestive motions during their stunts. While the fun continues on around them, however, the Glimmers do strut forward to take the implied spotlight.

Gia(?): So... who actually thought our hot asses were going to be left off the card for Rise To Glimmer?

Gina(?): Quite a few people it seems, which is truly sad. I mean, this whole event is named after us...

Gia(?): Not Rise To Gavin or Rise To Glory or Rise To- who the fuck cares because everyone knows who the real moneymakers are around here!

Gina(?): Let them all keep pretending sis. I hear it soothes a broken ego when you believe your own bullshit hoping it'll manifest into reality.

Gia(?): Really? Pretty sure there's far too many dipshits out there making those same claims about us.

Gina(?): Truly a shame... nobody around here actually understands our art, they just whine and bitch and moan about how we don't belong here or don't deserve this or shouldn't have that when, last I checked, we spent the first year of our SCW careers dominating everybody put in front of us.

Gia(?): And she does mean everybody. You can literally count on one hand the number of people who've beaten us, and then reality flashes you its titties to remind you that we've also beaten almost everyone on that list. Selena?

Gina(?): Humbled.

Gia(?): Amelia?

Gina(?): Humiliated, twice.

Gia(?): Xander?

Gina(?): Fucked off when we kicked his ass.

Gia(?): The only names we haven't gotten our wins back from are Deanna and Luz, but it's only a matter of time. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure that means the only ones who've ever actually beaten us are SCW's so-called absolute best... so what does that make us?

Gina(?): Pretty sure that makes us fucking goddesses, but we know you'll all agree to disagree while you're all trying so hard to resist giving in to temptation and giving us our prize and skipping this match altogether. Let's face it... it's inevitable.

Gia(?): I mean, who else in SCW embodies the true spirit of America than the Glimmer Sisters?

The Cirque du Sins troupe all cheer as both twins can't help but shake their tits and asses a little more, dancing around one another in a way that's not only meant to entice you and whatever parts you're working with below the belt, but also mix them up when combined with all the other circus chaos going on around them, just in case you might've been trying to piece together which twin in which.

Gina(?): Come on boys and girls, we all know that America's true heart and soul lies in the fact that it's the home of, hands down, the single sexiest people on the entire fucking planet, as well as the most talented. Sorry to anyone who finds that offensive, but considering I'm obviously referring to the two of us, it's not racist if every other American out there also can't compare and only wishes they could be us.

Gia(?): If this were a campaign and we were rallying to be elected as your next United States champions, we'd have your vote hands down. Unfortunately, it seems like democracy dying a slow, painful death at the hands of a sad old man who desperately wants to keep pretending he's in control is how we ended up instead having to solve this manner via climbing ladders to retrieve the gold.

Gina(?): Make of my sister's words as you will and direct any insults to the crusty old bastard who pops into your head, but a ladder match for that title between seven people doesn't change the fact that you're looking at your winners right here.

Gia(?): Before you all start getting your panties in a twist, think long and hard about what you're up against. Yeah, we're sure some of you have been in ladder matches before, good for you. But you've never been in a ladder match against the likes of us before.

Gina(?): If it hasn't become stupidly obvious yet, a match like this might as well be home for us. Unparalleled sex appeal aside, my sister and I have built our names on being acrobats that would put the clowns of Cirque du Soleil to shame. There is no risk we won't take, no heights we won't soar to...

Gia(?): And plenty of tricks you haven't even seen from us yet. Yeah, we can flip and spin and walk the ropes like a high wire, but outside the ring? We're usually doing stunt like that from much higher in the air, and even if you take away the safety net, we're not afraid because we know we're flexible and agile enough to hit the mark every single time. Give us that extra height via ladders, and you'll realize pretty quickly that you idiots practically gave us home field advantage.

Gina(?): I can hear Dexy crying and complaining from here. We can't help it, the guy just makes it so easy to fuck with him and make him start frothing at the mouth like a rabid raccoon. I mean, how long now has he been making excuses for his own stupidity to try and discredit the fact that we kicked his ass along with some other loser out in the parking lot back during Fatal Fortunes?

Gia(?): Probably as long as he's been butthurt about the fact that his nerdy nobody of a flunky has more game than him and we were just trying to help our friend Destiny really rock his world. But no, we apparently just don't get it and he's going to violent “disconnect” us or whatever because he just can't accept that we've been ten steps ahead of him every single time, and Rise To Glimmer will be no different.

Gina(?): If he has anything in common with Marie Jones, it's the fact that they're both delusional dumbasses who can't figure out that getting into people's heads is what we do best, and since we're already living rent free in both spaces, I think we can write the both of them off right now.

Gia(?): Marie, babe? Nice little ego trip you went on while proving us right, not about you actually sucking Franky's shriveled dick because you could be blowing CHBK instead and we wouldn't fucking care. But to think we're in this match because of you? Calm your tits bitch, because if anything? You were just a fun little side adventure to prove who the best twins are around here. If anybody's the reason we're in this match, it's the nutcase complaining about social media and thinking he's going to save the world some some imaginary plague because as we've established, we've been fucking with Dexy-Poo all year.

Gina(?): But sure, tell yourself you were going to beat him for the title and everything was going to be sunshine and rainbows. Maybe that would've opened up Dexnut for another dance with us with his little emo ex, but we probably would've come to get “acquainted” with you anyway. After all, the real reason we're here is the same shiny little hunk of gold you're PMSing over. But, we get it, just like we get why you completely failed to understand the point of what we did at Taking Holds of the Flame. It's no surprise you take this shit way too seriously, and that's exactly why when we have our kinky clown fun at Rise To Glimmer, it's going to end with us hanging from the rafters rubbing that title between us while you're wondering how the fuck you ended up broken and crippled at the hands of a couple of proud sluts who outshined you.

Gia(?): Just as Dexter will go right back to bitching from his own hospital bed because he learned the hard way that when you play stupid games...

Gina(?): The Glimmers deliver your stupid prizes in the form of hospital bills and broken pride.

The twins both slowly bend over, cheered on by their circus family as they wink and blow kisses to Dexter and Marie while knowing full well they've only added to the temptation with the sheer amount of cleavage on display now.

Gina(?): I suppose we should move on to Oskar now.

Gia(?): Do we though? Do we really?

Gina(?): I mean, he is another victim on the list, sis.

Gia(?): But what is there to even say about him? He's European, he's another fuckwit from the Fiery Nation, he's just going to repeat the same bullshit they've all spewed towards us every single time we've put them in their place about how we don't belong here, we're not real wrestlers, we're whores who should be ashamed, they're going to maim and kill and destroy us...

Gina(?): OK, yeah, when you put it like that, saying anything to Oskar at this point is like bullying a special needs kid: sad and just makes you feel bad, as it should. Besides, we handed his ass to him in a tag match already just a few weeks ago, so what more is there to even say to him?

Gia(?): I'd much rather talk about the other actual Franky D. dickrider in this match, and not just because Chris Lawler is a man who looks like he might actually know how to show a lady a good time.

Gina(?): It's just a shame that he threw away any hope of punching his Lust Ticket with us the moment we decided to let the CEO convince him that he was such a special snowflake who could achieve all his dreams if he traded being a real man for being a corporate shill. Seriously Chris, how's that been working out for you? Is getting your ass kicked just like it probably was back in the “good ol' days” of ancient SCW ringing in the nostalgic feels yet?

Gia(?): Face it Chris, the only reason you even find yourself with a chance at actually doing something is because you've proven you know how to kiss ass just as well as Oskar and his funny European circle jerk to a degree that Marie could only dream of doing. Compared to us, though? All three of you, regardless of whether or not you worship Franky like a god because we could care less, have done what ultimately amounts to jack and shit around here, and when you realize the two of us have literally spent the last year kicking ass and humbling the entire roster while looking hot as hell doing it?

Gina(?): Yeah, I'd say we deserve this way more than any of you do. But if you ask some people, the only person who deserves this any more than us is a cranky cowgirl who rode back into town demanding her bounty back, only to find two new sheriffs in charge around here who've already proven she doesn't stack up to us in any category.

Some of the stunt riders begin revving their motorcycles as Meghan Strader becomes the topic of conversation.

Gia(?): Settle down boys. We get it, Meghan loves to ride her hog and threaten everyone with a good time, but as my twin said, we've outwitted her before and she's out of her depth in our sinful world. Go ahead and declare vengeance for how we “robbed” you of a Trios contract last year, because I think we went and proved it had much more value in our hands anyway.

Gina(?): Maybe this is supposed to be your redeeming glory, Meghan. Maybe this is where you prove that CHBK had the right idea letting you think you deserved to get your title back, but we know the truth: your reign was on borrowed time as it was. When the two of us say that all that Glimmers is gold, that's us telling the world that every title in SCW is fated to end up wrapped around our sinfully sexy bodies eventually. It's inevitable...

Gia(?): Just like you riding off into the sunset once again to tell your family how much of a failure you are to a family name no one gives two shits about.

By now, you've probably noticed that both Glimmers have been making sure not to give away the game of who's who, but we've also reached the point now where they've run out of people to talk about. That is... aside from each other, since they're technically opponents as well in this ladder match with how it's set up. Slowly, that realization seems to dawn on them as they turn to face one another, their haughty smiles vanishing as a sudden tension begins to build, one that even brings all the joyful and raunchy activity around them to a halt. Everyone watches with worry as the twins get nose-to-nose, tit-to-tit, sizing each other up like they may not wait until the bell rings to try and gain any sort of advantage over one another...

Only for the both of them to pull away from each other, laughing their asses off and inciting everyone around them to laugh as well, all of them clearly in on the joke as bright circus joy shines through, even if it's in a way that we know still has your hand stuffed into your waistband.

Gia(?): Holy shit! I wonder how many idiots out there actually bought that tension?

Gina(?): Probably all of them because they clearly don't know who the fuck we are.

Gia(?): OK, for those slow on the uptake, we'll be nice and fill in the holes for you.

Gina(?): We know how to read the card, and we know we're listed to supposedly fight each other as well in this thing. After all, only one of us can actually win.

Gia(?): And to that, we say a loud and proud “FUCK YOU!” Sorry boys and girls, but if you actually believed a singles title meant for only one person to hold was going to tear us apart, then congrats on proving just how fucked all of you truly are beyond stepping onto our stage and playing our acrobatic game.

Gina(?): Yeah, maybe that's how it's “supposed” to work, but if we haven't made it clear over the past year, the two of us believe that rules, like clothes sometimes, are merely a suggestion. Don't believe us? Then tell me: what happens if the both of us just so happen to pull the U.S. title down together? Kind of hard to pick one or the other when we both win fair and square, isn't it?

Gia(?): But say you somehow do manage to force it so that only one of us pulls that belt down? Yeah, either Gia or Gina will be the champion then... but what's stopping us from having a little fun and making you wonder if it's the Glimmer who grabbed the gold you're actually facing or the Glimmer who's still happy to share the glory without “earning” it because we all know how much that pisses you all off.

Gina(?): The fact of the matter is... you can't. Franky, CHBK, the board, none of them can truly stop the Glimmer Express from rolling out of Detroit as your co-champions, just as none of you can stop the only two people who will happily work together to make a joke out of each and every one of you because this is our show, our night, our moment.

Gia(?): So we welcome you all to Rise To Glimmer...

Gina(?): ...and we hope you enjoy the show.

Gia(?): Because all that Glimmers is gold.

Gina(?): And you'll all embrace the Glimmerican dream when we flaunt the stars and stripes the way they were meant to be presented every single week going forward.

All the horny circus freaks around the twins start singing their rendition of “Hail to The Chief” again as Gia & Gina take a bow, bending low enough that they contort themselves in a way that makes sure we still get one last look at those proud wrecking balls they call their booties before showing off a bit of their acrobatic prowess that will pose a problem come Sunday night with as they backflip and handspring their way into the crowd, ready to have some fun to pass the time until they take to the sky and claim their prize come Rise To Glimmer... I mean, Greatness.

Detroit, Michigan. Wednesday 5th August.

There was a massive shock in last week's SCW Breakdown show that the former leader of The European Fiery Nation, Konrad Raab came to the show. Nobody in The European Fiery Nation knew about it, not even Kemal from the reaction he saw from the cameras and that's what mostly the talk has been about, or rather his other tag team partner from another company didn't want to hear about it, especially how he recently fought him on Monday, lets say there was some tension of how things went down and Oskar didn't agree with it. He didn't agree with Konrad's comments either and Konrad knew about it from discussing it after his visit at the show. They were at the motown museum and Kemal to much dread of Mike Collins, the guy that fought Konrad on All Star Wrestling Revolution show while looking around the motown legends of music.

Kemal Yilmaz: “I know you don't want to hear it Mike, but I can't believe Konrad showed up on SCW Breakdown show. He didn't tell us any of this.”

Oskar Theron: “Even I didn't know and we talk quite a bit in regards to ECE and AWR businesses.”

Mike Collins: “Yeah, OK guys whatever you say.”

Dakon Theron: “I don't appreciate you being sarcastic and the tone of voice you said it in Mike. Konrad is the reason Oskar got big after all.”

Mike Collins: “But he got bigger himself in The Prophecy.”

Kemal shook his head as of course, there was going to be tension, especially after the fact Mike Collins had fought Konrad in another company recently, which he won, but not in a way that was in anyway fair at all.

Kemal Yilmaz: “I think it's safe to say we don't talk about Konrad during this time you guys. We can talk about the shock at the show itself. But we all got to focus our goals here with me capturing the Underground title, Federico beating Flash, Ludvig and Dakon beat that Howell family team and Oskar will be United States Champion.

Mike Collins: “Why didn't you say you were going for the championship? Man, I feel like I've joined the wrong company of you guys getting favourited treatment over some of the other wrestlers.”

Oskar Theron: “Oh, Frank loves us, he made us all security guards for the entire brand because we are the only security guards that are wrestlers, but not afraid to get our hands dirty.”

Federico was also at the museum and because he only had a brief connection with Konrad in accepting to be apart of The European Fiery Nation, he was the only wrestler in European Fiery Nation that had zero ties to the Raab Brothers, it was more Dakon and Ludvig who had the connections with him. Of course Shane and Tom Collins were there as well.

Mike Collins: “That is wild stuff to stick to your violent roots in Supreme Championship Wrestling.”

Shane Collins: “I mean didn't his King Of The Cage explain that and look at the current champion now, he's sitting on a title reign and doing nothing with the title reign.”

Oskar Theron: “I mean what a freaking surprise from Dustin Downey, knowing that Malcolm loves to cater to the weak, loves to cater to people that are on his level and it's not even funny, but if you were to join Supreme Championship Wrestling, you would see very different results.”

Tom Collins: “I can totally see that with you and Kemal getting a title shot. Must be doing good things over there and it seems like from the videos we all watched, you guys have way more fun. Malcolm on the other hand prevents us from being successful.”

Oskar Theron: “As does literally everyone in that company. But you guys should come, it's great, although the only reason I don't want you guys to join is because unfortunately, you aren't European talent.”

Mike Collins: “For real man, I admire you guys wanting to make European wrestlers get an opportunity to wrestle. You guys are all over the place. Yeah we know and even some in training as well you guys are making it big. We're proud to have our European cousin doing the goods for us in AWR. I mean to be fair to Konrad, he has done well training our man.”

Kemal didn't really know what to say as he felt that Konrad was being trashed and he wasn't standing down from that because he knows that Konrad saved his life and it was why he could never ever betray him in any circumstances and Kemal did have an announcement to make to everyone.

Kemal Yilmaz: “Well if something were to happen to me, Oskar will be in charge of the team, he's pretty much doing quite a bit of work with the team already without me so he's second in charge, but I'm the leader and I don't tolorate at all on you talking crap about a guy that saved my life.”

Oskar Theron: “Well, there there were a few things I didn't agree with, especially Monica and Jason Scott coming out to help you win the match. I really thought you both should've settled it like men.”

Mike Collins: “But that wouldn't be me.”

Federico Gasperoni: “I mean I get it because I brag so much about my damn looks that I'm irresistible. Not the attractive to women bullshit, but the whole idea of me being a bodybuilder. I tell you, none of these wrestlers take wrestling seriously. We are all so different and I hate high flyers, except for Ludvig and Oskar that is.”

Oskar Theron: “Yes, a ladder match that suits my wrestling style. I love to cause damage on my opponents on high flying moves to shooting star press someone on the top rope or to spear them off the ladder. I will not let the phonies of my opponents catch me off guard because this match is suitable for me. Not for some of the other wrestlers in the match. I'm the star that everyone wishes to be, women and men whooo at me at every opportunity I get because they find me hot and sexy.

Dakon Theron: “See, different ways of the body approach, Federico brags about his body being good, Oskar brags about being attractive for men and women around him because he's single, although you need to seek other partners like Kemal has tried to do.”

Kemal Yilmaz: “Being on a dating site thanks to Zain who's currently training to be a wrestler, along with a few wrestlers from that part of the European continuant. Still, I had to promote because I know how much this wrestling and soon to be racing school.”

It was a shock to everyone to discover that the school was more than just a wrestling school now, it was also a racing school with a team branding that was promoting European NASCAR talent to get into NASCAR racing, the exact same way as how he got European wrestling talent into wrestling, but with a much bigger scale.

Mike Collins: “Yeah alright, enough talking about the goof. We got go get Oskar ready for the title match and we all have faith in him to capture the title.”

Oskar Theron: “Two of those wrestlers should not be in the match, I'm sorry, but what I'm wondering is how an earth Glimmer Girls going to get along when they are tag team partners.”

Kemal Yilmaz: “Maybe they'll be like us, hate each other and wanting to destroy each other to win the match.”

Oskar Theron: “Kemal you silly fool, they aren't going to be like us to shit on each other like no tomorrow, they will play it safe and then I got that anti social media cult Dexter Grant. I still can't figure him out like his whole shebang is about stopping people from using social media. I don't care to use it. I think Meghan Strader is laughable. All of last year, she kept saying that she will be SCW World Champion the end of last year and guess what? The title she had, she fucked it up.”

Shane, Tom, Mike and the other European Fiery Nation members laughed and because Federico hadn't been around and laughed so hard he says this.

Federico Gasperoni: “Who the fuck would make a big goal like that, only to trip on their own feet at that pathetic excuse?”

Kemal Yilmaz; “I think Meghan failing was the best because it proved that Oskar had been right about her, that she couldn't deliver and it was highly unrealistic expectation of her delivering the goods that she was unable to make an impact on.”

Everyone forgot one thing, looking around motown legends museum as they did go quiet for a bit even with Oskar laughing to himself about the Meghan Strader failing to match her goals and he knew he was certainly going to bring it up with her amongst other things with the other opponents he has to deal with.

Kemal Yilmaz: “Dexter Grant has this anti social media cult going on and nobody cares about it. I don't get his growth in the company at all. I don't get his purpose in wrestling when he's better off doing his anti social media ban cult outside of the white house to get his voice heard better.”

Oskar Theron: “And Glimmer Girls are nothing more than a porn industry sort of ladies that belong in porno movies. That's how they come across with their sexuality and they aren't going to last long and they'll end up losing because they don't care for the solos titles. I haven't even talked about Chris Lawler who's only famous for his stupid cutter and Marie Jones is a shadow of Angelica Jones.”

Kemal Yilmaz: “Wait, who?”

Oskar Theron: “Angelica Jones was a wrestler in SCW a few times and won so many titles. I got to admit, I have absolutely no clue other than being raised by a wrestling family, a silver spoon way to the top as a lot of these SCW wrestlers are silver spoon fed into this business by their parents and I don't know where Glimmer girls and Dexter Grant did their wrestling training. I'm going to defeat everyone around me and make them cripple too.”

They all laughed, even Oskar only did it because he wants to win and in his own environment he was more than comfortable being in and and Mike Collins was curious on the wrestlers that Oskar was going to face, more he didn't know them other than word of mouth on what Oskar was saying and he knew that the title name was morally wrong for him and he wasn't going to do what Konrad was doing with the title.

Oskar Theron: “When I win the United States title, it will be changed to European championship, sorry, but me being a United States Champion will be a lie as I don't come from America, nor do I like America, but I'm still irresistible to all men and ladies around the world, even if America is a shithole. We do like Gavin Taylor though.”

Kemal Yilmaz: “He is a great shining light to all of us as he promotes European talent like us, wish I said something to Konrad about that. Anyway, I'm going to use my high flying skills and get these boozos to win the match because I can and I will deliver to capture the European Championship as I refuse to be United States Champion when I'm no part of it.”

Everyone went their own way looking in the motown legends museum as Oskar got his SCW team together, knowing the connection between his two teams were getting better with ton of improvement as Oskar went back to the hotel room on his own.

-----------------

The European title is coming home youtube.com shoot. (On camera)

“You know it got me thinking about this match on how the hell Glimmer Sisters are going to get along because it's every person for themselves not a tag match. I think why are they even in this match when they are clearly not solos wrestlers and not fitting for this purpose, I don't care what any of you have to say about me but the fact is, these girls aren't going to be like anything what me and Kemal did for the Trios on wanting to tear each other's heads off and have a hatred match because we will not see it from you soft pussies that think closeness will win you the match, it simply just won't. You're sibling team is irrelevant in a ladder match where I love these kinds of matches because I simply get a chance to showcase my high flying skills to the world because I'm a risk taker, but also one who isn't afraid to show a lot of violence. You girls don't spark the violence power and you both will not get along in this match and if you both do, then get the hell out of the solos division.

Speaking of someone who shouldn't be in the wrestling business, Dexter Grant shouldn't be there too, how this fucking anti social media cult star even became champion when he doesn't give a shit about titles I never know but your stupid cult is getting old and you should be better off calling for a social media ban at the white house, but obviously, you're like the rest of the people that are anti something for this world, a giant pussy that has some what of a wrestling skill, but not a championship material kind that gets away of being lucky each time because you don't want to be the European Champion and yes I will referr the title to that for now because that's what the title is and calling it United States is a disrespect to me. The only place you should be is in politics as a president to make the anti social media ban to happen, but you're just a cult nobody wants to join.

Chris Lawler has somewhat of a wrestling skill set, but how does anyone know when Chris although he's working with Frank too, but you see, I'm not going to be Glimmer Sisters to give so much praise, it's every person for themselves and I will do anything to destroy his stupid Lawler cutter that's the only thing Chris Lawler is known for, I'm sorry, but that's the truth other than holding a TV title in the past, but nobody really remembers that. I'm the high flying nature and I'm The Hitman Lighting Bolt for a reason, I actually can catch people off with a bolt of lightning because I'm the lightning of the skies that can very well destroy the hell out of everyone in this match.

OK Phoenix Marie Jones, you're just a silver spoon fed wrestler, another one of these wrestlers that have been in the business because of your family. Being in the wrestling business because of a family lineage is the most overrated thing ever. Almost every sport, musicians, actors, actresses etc all have a family lineage and it's so overdone to the top. Like why is it none of you can actually step out of your comfort zones and actually do something that isn't in your family lineage. I also know you're wrestling for no apparent reason and you don't want the European title either and I don't care how disrespectful that sounds, but that's how I treat the belt.

I actually laughed when Meghan Strader said last year that she'll be the SCW Champion by the end of the year, and I'm like no, you won't and how right I was. That you weren't ever SCW Champion material because you're simply not good enough. Nobody brought into your scam of you only wanting to be SCW Champion because you thought you're better than the European championship. Sorry to say, but you aren't and you're a complete idiot. Are you going to say that crap again or are you playing it safe that you failed in your quest last year.

I mean we got plenty of European talent now and of course, that will be the name of the title when I go up the ladder to grab it as there's of course a story of being Frank's security guard, but one that will do everything to capture the title because none of you have what it takes to do so, especially Glimmer Sisters will not face each other to cause a war, Marie Jones too much is under the shadow of her sister, Angelica Jones. Oh yes, don't think I haven't forgotten about Angelica there who where ever the hell she is is gonna watch me fly all around you. Chris will do everything to say the last word with the lawler cutter which is the only thing I've known him to do. Meghan will fail to the pressure of being an SCW World Champion again because she simply can't do it and one who calls me a joke when she did a good job making herself a joke and Dexter will try to recruit crowd members to join his anti social media cult that he isn't remotely interested in the title.

But I am and all of those factors they have, I simply don't and there's no restrictions of me capturing the European championship because unlike my opponents in the match. I will not hold back, I will not be nice or anything, I will be a damn asshole and I will break the hell out of all of you by going on the ladder, crashing into your bodies and going out there to climb the ladder to be the new European Champion of the world because I can and I will.”
