Melinda Braddock made her SCW debut, as an in ring performer, at Rise To Greatness, standing alongside her boyfriend Clyde Sutter and defeating Kelsai Adamson and Chance Owens. Now The Third Generation Goddess has taken things to the next level. She has brought her adopted sister, “The Boston Badass” Fiona Logan, into SCW and debuted her as her tag team partner in the duo known as The Vision, defeating Chase Upshaw and Religious Wright. But that contest was merely an exhibition, an example of what they are capable of. Those who have followed their careers know what they can do. They are four time tag team champions, having held MWE World Tag Team gold and three times and current MWCW Tag Team Championships. Melinda knows just how strong and capable of a warrior Fiona Logan is, soon the SCW fans and roster will know it too. If Fiona has just one weakness, just one, it is her hot headed temper. Fiona is emotional, especially when it comes to anger. She is quick to want to fight and ask questions later. It reminds Melinda of her boyfriend, Clyde Sutter, and how he once was before he got help with his own anger issues.

She understands why Fiona is the way she is; no one can truly understand unless you have either lived through what Fiona has had to live through during her difficult upbringing or if you are willing to sit down and listen to what she has to say. Melinda has been willing to listen. She has also been the guiding, steady hand to keep Fiona under control. Under Melinda’s guidance Fiona, as well as The Vision, will succeed in SCW and anywhere else they go. Under Melindda’s guidance, The Vision will succeed in their step up match on Breakdown against Diamond and Ruby Steele. Melinda is certain of her and Fiona’s ability to succeed in this next challenge. Everything is going according to her plan. Including this current plan to hang around their mother, Glory Braddock, in her private box at the Rogers Centre to watch SCW Apocalypse. It is true that Melinda has had tensions with her mother as of late but she is no idiot. Glory Braddock has been in SCW far longer than Melinda and Fiona. Glory Braddock has sway and influence. It is good to stay on her good side when necessary.

The private box overlooking the vast expanse of the Rogers Centre felt almost like a world apart from the roaring sea of fans below. The sound of the crowd rose and fell in waves—cheers, laughter, chants echoing through the concrete structure—but inside, the noise was softened by the glass wall separating the luxury suite from the arena. Plush leather seats lined the front row, facing the field where the pre-show festivities unfolded in brilliant color. The scent of popcorn and stadium food lingered faintly even here, mingling with the clean chill of conditioned air. Glory Braddock sat near the glass, one arm resting on the railing, the other cradling a bottle of water that she hadn’t yet opened. Dressed simply in fitted jeans, a gray V-neck T-shirt, and clean white sneakers. Her blonde hair was tied back in a low ponytail, and a trace of confidence lingered in her blue eyes as she watched the conclusion to the SCW Apocalypse main event; Cid Turner retained the SCW World Championship against Amelia Novado.

To her right sat Melinda Braddock, her oldest daughter. Melinda’s long golden hair shimmered under the suite’s soft lights, and her outfit was carefully chosen; a pale pink dress paired with a cream blazer and heels that elevated her posture as much as her presence. She looked every bit the modern professional, as if she had just stepped out of a magazine shoot rather than a sports event. She carried herself with composure, occasionally glancing down at her phone or out at the crowd with polite interest. There was a grace to her movements, a quiet assurance that suggested she had inherited her mother’s self-discipline; though perhaps refined in a different way. Across from them, slouched back in her chair with one leg propped up on the low glass table, was Fiona Logan. The contrast between her and Melinda was almost cinematic. Fiona’s dark brown hair was cropped in a tousled, shoulder-length cut, her black leather jacket worn and creased from use, a faded shirt visible beneath. Tight dark jeans tucked into heavy boots completed the look. There was a restless energy about her, a tension that seemed to hum beneath her calm expression.

“You really are sitting pretty in the hierarchy of this place, Glory.” Fiona remarks with a note of sarcasm. “You get to sit up here in this nice luxury box and get paid to sit on your ass and watch everyone else bust themselves up.”

“Be easy on her, Fiona. I mean, we do find ourselves in a similar situation, having to sit on the sidelines and watch the show instead of participating in it ourselves.” Melinda looks over at their mother and smirks. “Besides, she is the number one contender to the SCW World Championship. It comes with this kind of perk, doesn’t it mother?”

“Or is it the money?” Fiona asks with a grin of her own. Glory rolls her eyes.

“You know I’m beginning to question if having you here was a good idea.”

“In the box with you or in SCW?” Fiona asks with a chuckle. Glory sighs.

“Tonight with me in the box.” Glory shakes her head. “I have no doubts that you being here in SCW was the right career move. You two have done everything you can on the European scene and the independent circuits. You needed to make that jump to bigger and better things.”

“MWE wasn’t big enough?” Melinda arches a brow.

“It’s big but that’s just one place. And its mainly Chicago centered. You need the spotlight on you from all over the world. A place like SCW can get you the kind of notice and recognition that you need. Plus SCW will provide you with the kind of challenge you need.”

“Are you suggesting we don’t get good competition?” Melinda asks. Glory shakes her head.

“I’m not saying that. I’m just saying that I have been in so many promotions during my career and from my experience SCW has some of the toughest competition. If you and Fiona really want to be the best tag team in the world someday, then you need to test yourselves against what SCW brings to the table.”

“We will be the best tag team.” Melinda states coldly. “But this isn’t just about being the best. We have greater goals in mind.”

“Right, I forgot, shaping professional into your Vision, or whatever the bloody hell that means.”

“You clearly cannot comprehend the vision.” Melinda remarks. Upon hearing this from her daughter, Glory stands up and sighs out of frustration.

“Look, I’m going to get some fresh air.”

“Leaving the arena?” Melinda asks with a smirk.

“I think you know what I mean, Mel.” Glory answers back sharply. “Don’t cause any trouble.”

Glory Braddock turns and makes her way for the exit. She steps out of the door, exiting the box and shutting the door behind her. Once Glory is gone, Fiona turns to face Melinda and furrows her brow out of curiosity.

“Mels, I get that she can be annoying at times, but did you have to be so cruel to her?”

“She needs to be kept in line.”

“Wow…” Fiona whistles “...it aint often you hear a child say that about her parent.”

“Perhaps it needs to be said more often?” Melinda quips. “Besides, I said it and I meant it; I have already surpassed what my grandfather has accomplished. I will surpass what my mother has accomplished. I will be the greatest Braddock of them all, mark my words.”

“Hey, you’re preaching to the choir, Mels.” Fiona states. “Still, your mother really is your biggest supporter. I think even she wants to see you surpass her someday. And hell, she’s trying to make sure you have every opportunity to accomplish that. I mean look at us! We’re here in SCW! Ya think we’d be here if not for her?”

“She has had her moments.” Melinda nods her head. “Admiteddly they have been fewer and farther between lately.”

“Give her some credit, Mels.” Fiona insists. “She’s trying. In fact, I think she’s been doing better lately.”

“Seriously?” Melinda looks on at Fiona skeptically. “I used to adore my mother. I wanted to be a wrestler because of her, because I wanted to follow in her footsteps. I idolized her because of her tenacity and stubbornness and refusal to give in. But then she changed. She traded in her jeans and tees for upscale everything, the finest most expensive jewelry. Money corrupted her. It turned her into a monster.”

“Finest of everything? Expensive jewelry?” Fiona snickers and motions at Melinda. “Hello Pot, meet Kettle.”

“I get your point. But imagine that, my mother’s corruption also ends up corrupting me?”

“So you admit you’re corrupt?” Fiona laughs. “I like it.”

“I admit that my mother has failed me.” Melinda shakes her head. “I will not tolerate failure any longer. Sure, she may be ‘doing better’ in your words, she may look like the mother I once knew, but I do not believe it. Not yet. She has a long way to go.”

“Remind me again, Mels, what is your beef with your mother?” Fiona shrugs her shoulders. “I mean, she has been nice enough to me since taking me in. Hell, I am eternally grateful for what she did for me. Because I…” Fiona’s voice trails off, she is having difficulty finishing her sentence as her own emotions run high. Melinda sighs.

“My mother was once a saint. She was once that hero she considers herself to be. Occasionally glimpses of that saint, that hero, will come to the surface. You were blessed to be on the receiving end of charity from when her saintliness bubbled up to the surface. You were in a terrible, horrific situation and yes, my mother saved you. But those heroic acts do not happen that often anymore. And as far as her wrestling legacy goes?” Melinda shakes her head and a look of utter disgust crosses her face. “She has not been living up to the Braddock legacy. She has become a shell of her former self. It is up to me to bring back the once famous Braddock wrestling legacy.” Melinda reaches out and places a hand on Fiona’s shoulder. “And I will make sure you are taken care of, Fiona.”

“Thanks, Mels…” Fiona says quietly, with a hint of uncertainty in her voice.

“Your parents were no-shows. Your foster was a bastard. My mother may seem like a saint to you for saving you but do not put her on a pedestal because she will let you down.” Melinda grins from ear to ear. “I won’t let you down. Together, you and I will reshape the landscape of professional wrestling into OUR vision.”

Fiona remains quiet. She isn’t quite sure what to say. Part of her admits that Melinda is right. Glory Braddock can be overbearing at times. Then again, what parent isn’t overbearing from time to time with their children? But she senses that there is more here than what Melinda is letting on. Melinda refuses to see that her mother can and has done good in her life. Fiona herself is a prime example of the good that she has done. Glory Braddock rescued Fiona from a terrible scenario, she gave her a second chance at life, and now Fiona Logan stands here in SCW with Melinda Braddock, as The Vision, a proven and formidable tag team in their own right with tag team championships already to their name from other promotions, now ready to test themselves in the difficult waters of Supreme Championship Wrestling. Is Glory Braddock really as bad as Melinda makes her out to be? Fiona doesn’t think so.

“Don’t concern yourself with our mother.” Melinda’s voice breaks Fiona’s focus. “CHBK is stepping up the competition next week. Last time, our debut, we took on those fools Religious Wright and Chase Upshaw.”

“Yeah, kicking their asses was fun.” Fiona snickers.

“Diamond and Ruby Steele will be equally as enjoyable to victimize and humble.” Melinda grins knowingly. “This is about making an example out of them. Supposedly this is a step-up fight. This is supposed to be a step-up in competition. Let’s make them look as foolish as Wright and Upshaw.”

“I can do that.” Fiona winks. “Cracking skulls is what I do best.”

“Then let’s do it.” Melinda extends her hand. Fiona doesn’t hesitate. She accepts the handshake. They are definitely a contrast in styles and personalities. They disagree on things from time to time. But they are compliments to one another. They make the other whole. The Vision is a perfect match and The Vision is on the same page and that is going to be trouble for Diamond and Ruby Steele.

Vlog #63
==========

We open with an upbeat instrumental track, energetic but polished, the kind of music that sets a confident, modern tone. The camera pans across a sleek, contemporary loft apartment in Birmingham, England, sunlight pouring in through tall windows framed by sheer white curtains that ripple slightly in the breeze. The space is stylish but lived in, exposed brick, polished wood floors, a few championship belts displayed on floating shelves, and a framed photo on a side table. A pair of wrestling boots sit carelessly by the couch, next to a glossy designer handbag that looks far too expensive for gym gear. As the camera settles, Melinda Braddock steps into frame. The blonde radiates poise and control, dressed in a cream blazer over a soft rose top, slim white jeans, and subtle gold jewelry. Her hair is styled in perfect, camera-ready waves, and her confident smile is the kind that seems to light up the whole screen. She adjusts the camera angle with practiced ease before giving a quick, flawless wave to her audience; the picture of elegance and professionalism.

Then, before Melinda can even begin her intro, Fiona Logan appears in the background, dragging a black gym bag across the floor with one hand and clutching a half-empty energy drink with the other. In stark contrast, Fiona’s dark hair is tied back in a messy ponytail, a leather jacket hangs over a ripped t-shirt, and her jeans are scuffed at the knees. A chain wallet dangles from her belt loop, and her expression screams arrogance and confidence. She flops onto the couch, boots up on the coffee table, drawing a sharp look from Melinda, and smirks at the camera. Behind them, the afternoon light catches on the gold of their MWCW tag team titles, gleaming from the shelf. The vibe between the two young women is immediate, Melinda’s refinement clashing perfectly with Fiona’s raw edge.

“Greetings my SCW lovelies, ‘The Third Generation Goddess’ Melinda Braddock of The Vision here with my sister, my best friend, my tag team partner…”

“Your ride or die.” Fiona chimes in with a playful wink.

“... ‘The Boston Badass’ Fiona Logan.”

“At your service.” Fiona smirks and nods her head.

“I told the world that this Vision for professional wrestling was here to stay and that it would not be stopped. What started as an idea has become a true blue movement that has caught fire. What started as a small spark on the independent circuit has grown into a flame that is burning professional wrestling at its core on the global stage in a purifying fire and when those purifying flames are finished doing its work, only The Vision will remain.” Braddock motions to the camera. “Now those purifying flames have come to the shores of Supreme Championship Wrestling.”

“Should we hashtag that, Mels?” Fiona asks. Melinda nods her head.

“Why not? #PurfyingFires!”

“Those purifying fires came to SCW and burned Religious Wright and Chase Upshaw to the ground. Mels and I were slightly offended when SCW threw those two clowns at us for our official debut. We stomped that religious nut and the school teacher reject with an anger problem. Now I love to kick some ass, I enjoy cracking skulls wide open, but I didn’t come here to have crap handed to me. I didn’t come here to have anyone just bend the knee, so to speak.”

“Speak for yourself.” Melinda remarks.

“I came here to fight.” Fiona states defiantly. “I hope that these next two bitches, the Steele girls, can provide some kind of competition for The Vision. I mean, come on, quit boring us, SCW. Quit boring me to death. I want a fight and I hope that Diamond and Ruby can provide one. Otherwise they’re gonna suffer the same fate as Wright and Upshaw.”

“Ah but you fail to realize, Fiona, they WILL suffer the same fate as Wright and Upshaw.” Melinda smirks knowingly. “Because as I have said over and over, again and again, Fate has written the script for SCW and for The Vision. Fate is smiling upon The Vision and that is why are destined to burn SCW down in the purifying flame and reshape it in our gorgeous Vision. It is why Diamond and Ruby are doomed.” Braddock shakes her head. “It is why their Fate is sealed, they just don’t know it yet.”

“Hell, why stop there Mels? The entire SCW should be put on notice right here and now.” Fiona states defiantly. “We beat Upshaw and Wright. Just one victory. We are on our way to clobbering those Steele losers and that’ll be win number two. Two wins in and already The Vision is on the precipice of gaining unheard of power within this company.” Fiona pats Melinda on the back. “Tell ‘em about it, Mels.”

“We keep telling you, we tell all of you, that Fate is in charge. We get mocked and ridiculed for this strong belief in Fate. Yet look at what happened when the Trios Tournament teams were announced?” Braddock chuckles softly. “Myself and my man, Clyde Sutter, happen to be on the same team. Is it luck of the draw or is it Fate? I think you know the answer to that question. Trios has arrived and Fate has seen fit to give me the trump card that practically guarantees me victory.”

“Hashtag it, Mels? #TriosTournament?”

“#TriosTournament.” Melinda agrees with a nod of her head.

“So think about that for a second, losers. The Vision sitting pretty, after less than a handful of matches, with a Trios Contract in its possession. Two of them, if you wanna count the big man’s.” Fiona smirks knowingly.

“Upshaw and Wright were put to rest. Trios fell into our favor. Now Diamond and Ruby Steele have been offered up to us as a sacrifice. This isn’t luck, ladies and gentlemen, it is Fate. Fate is on our side because Fate believes in our Vision, Fate believes in The Vision, and Fate will be the one who lights the purifying fire that cleanses SCW, that rids this company of its weaknesses and when all is said and done, The Vision will be left standing tall.”

“Diamond and Ruby, sorry about your damn luck.” Fiona says with a nasty grin.
