David Striker vs. Crystal Zdunich
#2
{The camera starts up and we find ourselves in the backwoods of Cameron North Carolina, were we find none other than David Striker walking through the trees, dressed warmly for the nearly twenty degree weather in Cameron at the moment as he simply strides through the trees and bush like a man not in very much of a hurry before he notices the camera and stops for a moment, motioning at the trees surrounding him}

David: Sometimes when you are preparing for a war in that ring, you need to take a moment and just stop, to catch your breath, and clear your head because sometimes when you are cutting a promo...especially when you're about to go to war, so to speak, with someone of the caliber of Crystal Zdunich.

I would be a complete and total wasted idoit if I didn't take the so called Burning Rose seriously or just as seriously as my older brother takes all of his matches because I know that you're not someone to be taken light, Crystal. I mean fourteen years of experience, multiple title reigns, and an incredible array of moves that would put people like Lana Corvin and Dona Rotten to shame...but you see, I'm not an idoit and where you might think that you've got a leg up on me from a mental standpoint because I recognize all of your time in the ring and all of your past accomplishments does not mean that you are quote living in my head and all that rot at all because, and trust me when I say this, you do not want to even take a look inside of this *head* in any shape or long run because what you might find such sights might revile and entice you in the span of things, Crystal.

But enough of my mind...let us instead talk about our match on this week's edition of Breakdown shall we?

You see at Breakdown, Crystal, I have one very simple plan...a very simple and easy way of doing things and I will do them in a way that will no doubt surprise you to no end because while you're expecting someone to come at you and brag about his or her massive and explosive offense that you cannot ever prepare for...I'm actually the one thing that you should always be afraid of, Crystal...because you see, I'm a thinker. I'm the guy whose one of the smartest members of any given roster because I'm the guy who actually sits back and does his homework, I study each and every single member of a promotion's roster and I start to understand how they work by picking away at their weaknesses.

Not the ones that are so painfully obvious that anyone can see them.

No, I'm talking about the weaknesses that you're not even aware of yet...but I'll make you keenly aware of them and I've been working hard to not only prepare for the physical war to come but also the mental one as well because I fully intend to enjoy myself during our match, and before you say anything...no, I'm not seeing this as some kind of game or anything like that, Crystal. But can you not say that you don't enjoy what you're doing for a living?

{David then leans up against one of the trees next to him and slides his hands into his pockets with a broad grin on his face}

David: I mean think about it for a second. Forget the fact that I'm a second generation wrestler and that I was raised in this industry, but instead let's focus on the fact that I'm doing something for a living that I've enjoyed since childhood. You see Crystal, my father was a career heel and he did that because he enjoyed being the bad guy...he enjoyed outsmarting the so called heroes at each and every turn and he freely admitted that when he was good, he was good...but when he was bad, he was great!

So in turn, he passed to me a love for this sport and in turn I love what I do for a living. Yes, the constant aches, long hours on the road, and hardly getting spend time in my own home in lovely Cameron... but that's just fine because I can legitly say that each and every time that bell rings, be it here in Supreme Championship Wrestling or over in New Frontier Wrestling or Pro Wrestling Nova, it doesn't matter where but I'm doing something that I enjoy doing to no end and there is not a damned thing that you can do to make me think otherwise. It helped to cultivate what my brother and I can do in that very ring, Crystal, because it showed us an entire host of wrestlers from all walks that helped us to discover who we truly are.

{David’s smile becomes more wolfish at this point}

David: But in the end, Crystal, you take all of those different elements and you mix them together in one big fucking bowl and what you got going into our match on Breakdown is something that you’re honestly not ready for, despite all of your years of experience and no matter how much time that you spend preparing or even in your own erroneously founded beliefs that you are ready for anything that this sport can throw at you at this point because in the end, I can promise you that you’re not ready for our match and that’s not any form of ego speaking on my behalf and nor am I writing a check that my ass cannot cash.

No, because my checks come from the bank of my undeniable talent just like your’s, No, I'm about to write you a reality check. Or would you prefer the cold, hard cash of truth?

Just because you’ve seen it all and done it all does not mean that there will be nothing that can yank the rug out from under you and trap you in the tank full of the painful reality breed of man-eating sharks, Crystal. And for as much as your ego won’t allow you to see it, when things finally do go down… no doubt you’ll piss and you’ll moan about how this match was going to be your epic start to twenty twenty four but in the end but instead you’ll simply witness the evolution of perfection as you find yourself just one stop short of total victory at the hands of the last bastard anyone will expect to be the future of this company.

That’s right, boys and girls, I’m calling my shot and I’m going to claim that by the end of this year everyone is going to also witness the rise of the Demon Barber of Supreme Championship Wrestling in David…F’N…Striker!!

See you Thursday, Crystal. And don’t forget to bring your bestest and finest violence…or you can just stay home kiddo.

{David then pushes himself off of the tree and begins to whistle “The Twisted Nerve” as he walks into the trees, the screen slowly fading to black}
