With Taking Hold of the Flame and the official kickoff to Rise To Greatness season fast approaching, one would think that the reigning SCW Underground Champion Kimberly Williams would be a bit more focused on the task at hand. This week her task is defeating Scott Reed, the former Beard who has returned to in ring action. On top of facing Reed, Kimberly will also have to look over her shoulder knowing that The Enigma will no doubt be lurking around, looking for an excuse to strike yet again. Breakdown in Los Angeles certainly could be make or break for The Woman Scorned but instead of focusing on her wrestling problems, she has chosen instead to focus on matters of a much more personal nature. After a visit with her half-sister, Jessica Lasiewicz, Kimberly has come to the realization that she needs to do something about her secret daughter and soon. She cannot continue to keep this a secret, because she knows it will damage her trust within her family and it will also do significant damage to the girl’s psyche, as if there weren’t enough significant damage done already. So instead of going to Los Angeles early for Breakdown, she has made a stop in Baltimore, Maryland first to visit with her daughter, the unstable young girl named Lilith.

Kimberly Williams sits on an old wooden bench nestled under the sprawling branches of a centuries-old oak tree in Patterson Park, in Baltimore, Maryland. The afternoon sun filtered through the leaves, casting dappled shadows on the ground and creating a mosaic of light and dark. Her long ginger locks of hair fell in loose waves around her shoulders, catching the occasional glint of sunlight and giving it a warm, almost ethereal glow. She wore torn denim jeans, flip flops, one of her new Wasley “Penguins of Chaos” t-shirts, and sunglasses resting on her head. Children's laughter echoed from a nearby playground, and the distant sound of a fountain splashing added a soothing rhythm to the background. Kimberly smiled softly, watching a group of children chase each other across the open field, their carefree joy infectious. The air was filled with the scent of blooming flowers and freshly cut grass, mingling with the occasional hint of roasted nuts from a vendor's cart down the path. Kim kept a close eye on her daughter, Lilith, who was skipping happily around the park taking in the atmosphere, the air, the smells, and the noise. More importantly, Kim wanted to make sure Lilith didn’t get into any trouble. She has been made aware of how Lilith has made attempts to kidnap people in the past. Lilith would have been in serious trouble had Kim’s friend Larry, the child’s guardian, had not intervened. Kim can see a lot of herself in this child, which is part of what scares her.

“Mom!”

The sound of her daughter’s voice screaming with joy seems to snap Kim out of her reverie. She looks up in time to see Lilith charging towards her. Kim smirks as she moves over to let her daughter sit down next to her on the bench. Lilith sits down and gives Kim a big hug.

“Whoa, hold on there, kiddo, we need to get a few things straight. First of all, what did I tell you about the whole “m” word?”

“Don’t call you mom or mother or even mommy.”

“Right…” Kim sighs “...well, I suppose every once in awhile is ok, but anytime you call me mom it makes me feel old and I am not old yet, damn it. I’m still in my thirties!”

“Ok!” Lilith nods her head enthusiastically, seemingly without a care in the world.

“Second, what got you so uptight that you felt it necessary to charge me like some upset bull?”

“Oh!” Lilith points to the nearby playground with the kids. “Can I have one?”

“One of what?” Kim pauses and then looks over at the playground. She realizes what Lilith means and quickly shakes her head. “No! No way, kiddo! What did Larry and I tell you about kidnapping?”

“Don’t do it without their permission!”

“Right, and even then it’s probably a bad idea!”

“I know. That’s why I asked.” Lilith says. “I’ve been doing everything you and Larry said!”

“So no kidnapping?”

“Nope!”

“And you haven’t stolen anything?”

“Nope!” Lilith shakes her head enthusiastically. She is beaming with pride that her mother seems happy with her, happy that she hasn’t tried to kidnap anyone or tried to steal anything lately. Kim pats her on the back.

“Good girl.”

“Thanks for spending the day with me mo…I mean Kim…” Lilith says cheerfully.

“Don’t mention it, kiddo. I’m just doing what I said I would; I promised I would spend more time with you and here I am. I always keep my promises, kiddo, so you can count on me that when I make a promise, I will keep it. Keeping promises are important, you understand?”

“Yup!” She nods her head. “But, uh, are you gonna leave soon?”

“Unfortunately, yes.” Kim nods her head. She sees a hint of disappointment wash over Lilith’s face. Kim cannot help but feel a brief hint of guilt. “I mean, I have a busy schedule, y’know? Places to go, people to see, people named Scott Reed to maim.”

“Who?”

“Don’t worry about him.” Kim shakes her head.

“Mom…uh, Kim…”

“Yes?”

“Why don’t we spend more time together. Y’know, like most mommy’s and their kids?”

This is a fair question and Kim wishes she had a fair answer for the girl. Unfortunately nothing about this is normal. How does Kim tell her that she never wanted to be a parent, how this was someone else’s dream, the dream of a sick sociopath named Emma, how Emma forced Kim to give birth? How does Kim tell this girl that she is only spending time with her and helping to raise her simply because she doesn’t want her to have the same upbringing she had under Emma? How does Kim tell her that she is partially trying to protect society from the potential monster Lilith could become if left unattended? Then again, there is still that guilt; the guilt Kim feels about this whole scenario. She feels guilty that this is how she feels about being a mother. It shouldn’t be like this and Kim knows it.

“It’s my fault.” Kim says.

“How is it your fault?”

“Don’t ask.” Kim remarks. “Just trust me, it’s my fault.” Kim shrugs her shoulders. “Most everything is my fault, I think. Maybe I’m just afraid of the unknown? I mean, I admit, I don’t know what might happen.” Kim hugs Lilith. “But I have to admit, I enjoyed spending time with you today.”

“Me too!”

The embrace is broken and Lilith runs off to enjoy time in the park. Kim watches her run off and play. Kim also detects a presence approaching. She smirks and turns her head ever so slightly to see her good friend, the child’s guardian Larry Dempsey approaching.

“Is this seat taken?” Larry asks, motioning to the bench. Kim shakes her head.

“It’s all yours, Lawrence of Arabia!” Kim exclaims with a look of mischief, knowing that Larry hates being called that. Larry just rolls his eyes before he sits down next to Kim.

“You are doing well.”

“Eh, what can I say? Making sure children don’t go around engaging in violence is my idea of a good time!”

“I’m being serious.” Larry states stoically. “Lilith truly loves you.”

“There are other people out there she can love more than me.” She points a finger at Larry. “Like you, for instance. You’ve raised her. I only recently got back into her life. This is your doing, not mine. Don’t give me credit for your hard work.”

“I do what I can. Unfortunately the older she gets, the less she listens to me. The older she gets the more she wants to know about her true origins. She has grown more and more curious about you. She wants you in her life.” Larry says. Kim shakes her head.

“I’m fairly certain she can do better than me.”

“I do not think so.” Larry pats Kim on the back. “As I said, you are doing a fine job, Kimberly.”

“Do you really think I should be raising a child? Shit, I am barely qualified to raise myself! But you want me to take responsibility for another human life?”

“You do not give yourself enough credit. Besides, you would not be alone. You have told me numerous times of the large and tight knit family you have.”

“Yeah, my family,” Kim rolls her eyes “that’s the other problem. I still haven’t figured out how I am going to tell them about this,” she motions to Lilith who is off playing in the distance “about her!”

“Your family will understand.” Larry says, gently patting Kim on the back. “I am certain of it.”

“I hope you’re right, Larry.” She sighs as she looks painfully at Lilith. “I really do hope that this turns out as peachy and perfect as you think it will. Because this is one problem I wish would just go away, I wish I could sweep it all under the rug and pretend it doesn’t exist.”

“You do not mean that.”

“I’m not sure.” Kim shrugs her shoulders. “Maybe I do mean it? I mean, I never asked to be a mother. Emma forced it upon me. Lilith was Emma’s mistake and now, yet again, years after that psychopath who ruined my life has died, I am still left to clean up her mess.” Kim says with pain in her voice. Larry wraps an arm around her shoulders to comfort her.

“Yes, Emma definitely did horrific things to you, she ruined your life, but this is your opportunity to take something awful she did and turn it into something beautiful.” Larry grins. “What better form of revenge than to take what Emma had meant for evil and turn it into good?”

“Wait, so you want me to do this out of spite for Emma?”

“Not exactly.” He sighs out of frustration “But if looking at it that way helps, then yes.” Kim grins from ear to ear.

“Y’know, I can be quite the spiteful bitch when I want to be!”

The camera begins to roll. The demented ginger and reigning Queen of the Death Match Kimberly Williams enters the scene from the right. The Woman Scorned is wearing a purple and green gothic style dress with a bodice that is colored with a deep royal purple satin, tightly fitted with a sweetheart neckline that is edged with delicate black lace. Intricate green embroidery in the shape of ivy leaves winds its way around the bodice, adding a touch of nature-inspired elegance. The puffed sleeves are short and adorned with black lace cuffs. A wide, emerald green satin sash cinches her waist, tied into an elaborate bow at the back, the long tails of which drape gracefully to the hem of her skirt. The skirt itself is a multi-layered marvel, with an outer layer of purple tulle decorated with black lace appliqués and green ribbons. Beneath it, layers of green and black petticoats provide volume, causing the skirt to bell out dramatically. Her legs are clad in black fishnet stockings that lead down to knee-high, lace-up Victorian boots in glossy black leather, adorned with small purple bows near the top. Kimberly Williams is a striking figure with her fiery red hair cascading in loose waves to her waist, its vibrant hue contrasting sharply with her alabaster skin. Her emerald green eyes are framed by long, dark lashes and a subtle touch of purple eyeliner that complements her outfit and adds an air of mystery. She wears a purple and green Gothic Lolita dress that is both elaborate and enchanting.

The puffed sleeves are short and adorned with black lace cuffs, enhancing the doll-like aesthetic typical of the Lolita style.

Around her neck, Kimberly wears a choker of black velvet with a small cameo pendant in the center, depicting a delicate green rose.

Kimberly’s accessories include a pair of black lace gloves that reach her elbows, their intricate pattern allowing glimpses of her pale skin. A small, purple top hat, perched at a jaunty angle on her head, is fastened with a black satin ribbon under her chin and decorated with green feathers and a tiny black veil that partially obscures her eyes, adding to her mysterious allure.

In her hand, she carries a black parasol with purple and green accents, its lace trim matching the lace on her dress. Every detail of her ensemble is meticulously chosen, creating an overall appearance that is both hauntingly beautiful and whimsically gothic. Kimberly Williams, with her vibrant hair and stunning attire, embodies the essence of Gothic Lolita fashion with a unique, personalized flair. Her SCW Underground Championship title belt is wrapped around her waist, her Zion Hardcore Championship title belt is draped over her right shoulder, and her HKW Bloodlust Championship title belt is draped over her left shoulder.

“As a kid I always loved playing make believe! I loved pretending to be something I wasn’t, even if just for a few joyous moments of play! Hell, to this day I love playing make believe! Sometimes I’ll even go out and pretend to be a responsible adult…” she winks at the camera “...everyone knows that is a bunch of bullshit, am I right? But you know who else likes to play make believe? The Enigma. Everyone looks at him and thinks he’s this big bad monster but really he is just a big kid hiding behind a mask playing make believe. He’s just a kiddo pretending to be a monster. I know because the signs are all there. A monster doesn’t need to use smoke and mirrors to appear and disappear and strike when the enemy isn’t looking, especially when that enemy is less than one hundred percent after the most violent Underground Title Match in SCW history.” Kim nods her head.

“Some monster you are, Enigma. Davey Boy Striker and I had beaten each other half to death and yet you still couldn’t fight us head on, you had to use your little magic tricks to attack us from behind. Yeah, you got us good, you put us on the shelf for a bit, but then I came back last week and I returned the favor. And I proved beyond the shadow of a doubt that you are no monster, that you are just as human as anyone else. I attacked you, I beat you down, and more importantly I stapled your ass!” She smirks devilishly. “When the time was right, you ran like a coward. You are not a monster, Enigma, even though you want everyone to believe you are. I should know because I am an expert in monsters. I, myself, am capable of being the most sick and sadistic monster to have ever set foot in this company. SCW should thank its lucky stars that it has yet to feast its eyes upon the monster that lives deep inside my black heart. I keep that monster chained up under lock in key in a prison of my soul never to be let out because I know exactly what it is capable of, but if you want to play games, Enigma, then I will gladly introduce you to my monster and I will make sure you do not walk away.” Suddenly her serious look turns into a more jovial, cheerful look, as if she suddenly flipped a switch.

“Scott Reed knows how to play make believe too, don’t ya buddy? You played make believe as Beard but now you’re back as simply Scott Reed.” She shrugs her shoulders. “Then again, are ya really playing make believe or are you just finally embracing who you really are, who you always have been? You have been on fire since returning, winning some impressive matches. Admittedly that one win against SMP wasn’t exactly how you wanted…disqualifications suck, don’t they? That’s one reason I love being in the Underground. No disqualifications, no count outs, anything goes, and more importantly no excuses. I’m sure you would like that too, wouldn’t you? No excuses. Unfortunately that was a disqualification win against SMP and that will be forever tainted. But I saw what you did at Taking the Leap and I know the talent that is there. I also know what you did as Beard. There is no doubt in my mind that you can go! And there is no doubt that tomorrow night in LA, you and I can steal the show!” She winks again.

“Because just like you play make believe as either Beard or Scott Reed, I can play make believe as either The Queen of the Death Match or one of the all time best mat technicians and submission specialists to have ever graced an SCW ring.” She nods her head. “This is not the Underground, this is straight up one on one, and most might think that would give you an edge. Why is that? Why is it that people think that just because I am a lunatic that I am ONLY good in hardcore matches? Before I resurrected the Underground Division and became the undisputed Queen of the Death Match, I was known for being a damn fine WRESTLER…and maybe it is time that I reminded the world just how good of a WRESTLER I can be?” Williams smirks knowingly.

“I am glad that this is a standard match. I am thrilled that this is not in my Underground, because it gives me the opportunity to remind the world just what I am capable of in any environment that SCW chooses to put me in.” She pats the Underground Title around her waist. “I have held this five times. But what happens when I decide to move on? Maybe I can move onto the Adrenaline division? If I do, I will win that title in no time flat. Or maybe I might enter Taking Hold of the Flame, win the whole damn thing, and main event Rise To Greatness where I will smack Frosty around a bit and take the SCW World Championship from her? Don’t forget last year I started the Flame and I went bell to bell, finishing third overall. Am I capable of OUTWRESTLING anyone on this roster? You damn right I am.” She points a finger at the camera.

“I will prove what I am capable of by defeating you tomorrow night. I will prove that I can OUTWRESTLE anyone when I OUTWRESTLE you tomorrow night in LA!” Kim smiles devilishly. “Because I do love playing make believe! I can be anyone my Kimmymaniacs want me to be! If they want me to be the Queen of the Death Match then that’s who I will be…and if they want me to tie you up like a damn pretzel and make you tap out, that’s what I will do, Scotty my boy!” Kim shakes her head. “What I hate doing is bursting bubbles, but Scotty, as impressive as you have been since returning to the ring, it is time that I burst your bubble. It is time that I end your momentum. Tomorrow night, in a great WRESTLING MATCH, this Queen of Chaos will reign supreme!”
