September 21, 2024

It had been a long day, Breakdown had taken quite the toll over ANdrew, the finals showdown inside the ring had been quite the encounter and had given Andrew and his team the perfect chance to really see what they were up against. It would have been one thing to just watch the previous matches to gain that insight but standing across from them in the ring, watching all of them focus solely on one person was very telling for Andrew. He knew that none of them really knew what he was about, given his long absence but he played his part pretty well setting everything up. IT also gave Andrew a chance, again, to study the dynamic between his partners as well. He knew very well that Selena was sort of the one steering the ship and Polly was the one truly determined to prove herself and take her game to the next level. It was a position Andrew knew all too well from his experience and it just sort of allowed him to just sit back and watch everything unfold. He wasn't as much of a wild card as Billy was but given that he was the one they didn't know that well at all, the one who had been away from SCW for longer than 5 years, they really didn't know what his true ambitions or motives were, aside from what had gone down at Rise to Greatness and his involvement in the Chastaine/Lyman match that ultimately put SImon on the shelf indefinitely. Andrew had been willing to work with just about anyone, never concerning himself with how the others wanted to carry themselves during the match or even as a team. He was never concerned about being the leader or taking charge of the situation, that can date back all the way to tactical warfare and the control of SCW. He probably knew that he would have no actual power had they won but being selected to help fight that battle meant something to him and he played his part surprisingly well in that as well. He had nearly stolen that victory for them but they had ultimately come up just short.

Basically, Andrew knew that he would be playing a major part in this trios final and wanted to make sure that he and his partners would be on the same page no matter what the dynamic was or whatever tension would be involved as well. This was one of those tournaments where strange bedfellows could easily be created and that would always create an issue of whether or not the end goal ultimately mattered or would egos get in the way and blind them to the true goal in mind.

He was back in his locker room, finally having a chance to calm himself after the heated exchange between everyone. He knew that the trios final was going to be a big deal and there was a lot of pressure involved for a few people who were staring down the possibility that this would be their last chance of accomplishing something major. The contract was essentially a golden pass to get whatever they wanted, though he basically expected it to be all about the SCW World Championship, but it could seriously be a major move for something else as well. He didn't really know the motives of the others but could probably make a serious guess and wouldn't be too far off. He had not spoken much with Selena or Polly outside of the ring or even after the exchange in the middle of the ring. When he had gotten backstage, Selena was already well on her way and he just sort of went in a different direction. Not having much to say and wanting things to kind of die down a little, in case there was anything heated perhaps in play. Getting back to his locker room allowed everything to settle. That way, when he felt ready he could go and perhaps try to meet up with Selena and Polly and try to have a decent conversation about what to expect and get everything in order so they could win the contracts.

In all honesty though, he wasn't too worried, they had a few things going well for them and the dynamic especially in the semi finals worked out very well for them. The time of Selena’s glass shard that allowed Raynes to drop down for the win had been executed very well. There was a sense that they sort of knew how to play off each other and have the chemistry necessary in order to get the job done. Even if Andrew knew that the alignment wasn't all equal, there was a strong sense of doing whatever was necessary in order to win. These contracts were too important to just simply try and do things the right way. KNowing the desperation from across the ring, Andrew was in a position now where he could see those things coming and come to expect whatever they were going to throw at them to try and steal these contracts away.

Long story short, Andrew felt in the driver's seat and wasn't about to let up on the gas.

After he had gotten his stuff together, he was going to just pack up and leave but he wanted to go and see if there was anything he could discuss with Selena and Polly prior to leaving. He knew that this was likely the only time he would get to talk to them prior to Apocalypse and didn't want to leave anything to the last minute. Little did he know that it was probably the best decision he could have made, he got up from his bench and put the last of his stuff into his bag and left it there. He took a deep breath and slowly made his way out of the room, to be honey he didn't know quite where either Selena’s or Polly’s locker room was located so he decided he was going to take his time and sorta walk the halls until he could figure it out. Part of Andrew still wasn't too sure what he was going to say or how this was going to come across, would Selena actually care to hear anything of it? Given that she was carrying herself as the head of SCW, interjecting herself into anything she wanted with her pedigree and her place at the top of the mountain. Her involvement in the World Title segment spoke volumes to how she carries herself. Polly though, Polly was the one he knew that really needed this, her demeanor was a dead give away showing that fire he hadn't seen from most people. Most people back away from their prove themselves moments but Polly had firmly solidified herself in the desire to win that contract and take herself to the next level. All her eggs were in this basket and having Selena at her side would be a strong motivating factor in getting there. ANdrew could see that everything Selena touched made them better, even with Andrew too. There was a level of confidence there that really allowed them to excel together and grab a hold of the lead that they may never relinquish. Still though, Polly didn't want to let this get away from her and Andrew had to make sure that given everything he's watched over the course of this tournament, he had to be the one that was going to keep everything on the level. Even if he was the type that was going to do whatever it takes, he had to also make sure that things didn't get out of hand between anyone to ensure this victory.

He walked down a few more hallways, still no real indication of where their locker rooms would be until it sort of presented itself to him instead. He could hear the intensity of a conversation that was sounding a little too familiar to him, the sounds of women bickering in a sense that started to almost resonate with Andrew quickly. He almost knew right away who they were and essentially had found the locker room of the girls. He stopped for a minute, not quite reaching the doorway yet as he was still a few yards away but the sounds were almost indisputable, it sounded like they had been talking for a little while now and it was getting more intense. Andrew did not react too much to it, wanting to know for sure that it was Selena and Polly talking but it wasn't quite clear yet. As he kept walking closer it was becoming more obvious that it was the two of them going at it, likely rehashing their history and trying to clear anything before this Trios final ended up reaching the climax. It took a few more moments before he ended up reaching about a few feet from the doorway into the locker room but he decides that he's just going to stay outside for a moment and continue to let things play out. He didn't want to end up interrupting anything just in case he needed to get out and get everything. He ends up hearing the word “Anubis” coming out of the mouth of Selena and then all of a sudden, almost in an instant he hears the loud thudding of someone going up against the wall. Realizing that things were potentially reaching a boiling point, he kept debating on whether or not to get involved right away but he decided to let it play out. Perhaps this was a moment in time that would allow for a shift that would strengthen them before the finals but maybe could end up coming back to blow up in their faces.

Andrew still felt like the new guy around here, in a sense, having not been back that long, he knew that there were pieces to play already and probably needed to let this play out more so that way, there would be a stronger chemistry between them. Andrew certainly wasn't the resounding good guy he used to be, sometimes he knew that people needed tough love in order to have the message sent to them that they needed to hear. He could tell by the dialogue that Selena had Polly in a pressing situation that could have ended badly but given that this was important, probably was more making sure that she could deliver her message without any issues. Andrew had no idea who was all in the room at the time, he never bothered to look into the room and just stayed about a foot away from the door while everything played out. He could hear Selena reminding Polly of the power that she has here in SCW, referring to herself as the one in charge of this team, ANdrew heard that and sort of scoffed a little. It wasn't that he cared about being the leader, he was over that stuff but hearing Selena trying to simply take credit for everything, like she was the one spinning the wheel the whole time just felt sort of weird, why was she so concerned about being the one to take all the credit? Was she expecting a big thank you for everything working out? He shrugged it off and kept listening to the confrontation between the two. It seemed like there was major history there between them and this needed to happen to get everyone on the same page and pushing to the next level. He heard Selena run down everything that Polly had failed to do prior to the Trios Tournament and ANdrew could feel that hitting hard, always coming up short when it mattered. Glass ceilings were something that Andrew could relate to, IN the earlier stages of his career, having opportunities to capture world titles always seemed to elude him when he was just reaching the top of the mountain. Andrew always felt slightly held back, always getting close and then never being able to just find that last step to get him over the top. MOstly he felt that other people were preventing him from getting there and protecting what's theirs because they feared what ANdrew would do once that happened. NO better than when Andrew restored life and prestige into the Adrenaline Championship, from being dead and buried to one of the best runs in the company that helped propel the Adrenaline championship to main event status inside the elimination chamber, That eight month run helped show people what Andrew could do when he was given something to run with. So he knew that this would be a big thing for Polly if we were able to capture those contracts and have the chance to grab a hold of something and take it to the next level.

Then Andrew’s eyes started to sharpen, he could hear Selena continue to try and play her “leadership” into Polly. It was starting to get a little more out of hand, He could hear Polly starting to struggle a little more, Selena really trying to lay it on thick that she should be grateful for where they are now. That lowkey did not sit too well with Andrew because he knew that this needed to be more about teamwork and that dynamic then all of us just bowing down to Selena and kissing her ass for being here right now. ANdrew didnt care what road it took to get here, fake tags or anything else. Andrew would use any opening possible, be it at his own accord or someone else’s in order to win. He didn't care about morality anymore and hadn't for quite some time. Given the careers he's ended, bones shattered or anything else, he was willing to go the extra mile at any cost in order to win and certainly didn't care if it bothered anyone else. IT was something that Selena wasn't really aware of and he certainly didn't mind keeping it that way. Still though, Andrew knew that this needed to be on the level so that they could actually make it to Apocalypse in one piece, they weren't going to get very far if things got out of hand. Hearing Selena lay on the threats to Polly was about the last straw for Andrew, still not knowing what he was about to walk into, he refrains from just simply barging in and getting involved. He finally reaches the door and slowly turns into the doorway. This is where he sees Polly, pinned up against the wall by some amazonian looking woman, and Selena, getting right in close to Polly and laying it on thick. Andrew takes a second to assess the situation, they have no idea he is even there as Selena utters “And i’ll make sure you never leave the mid-card!” before Andrew finally makes his presence felt.

Andrew: Whoa Whoa Whoa!

His voice echoes like a calming wave trying to de-escalate the situation. Clearly seeing that things are about to get out of hand, he brings everything to a grinding halt with his words and presence. Polly looks over at Andrew with an almost sense of thankfulness for getting here and preventing anything else from happening but nothing is said. Andrew looks over at Selena before Andrew makes eye contact with the amazonian. They get the sense that he isn't going to be a problem, given that he is the third one in this little pairing and just as vital to their success. Selena finally addresses him thinking that he’s going to have a piece to spit as well. Andrew shrugs, not interested in trying to lay down threats or anything like that. His sole focus is on making sure everyone stays in their lane and works together to get this done. Selena got closer to Andrew and started trying to ply her command into him, wanting him to talk sense into Polly to make sure everyone was on the same page. Andrew looked at Selena, not overly interested in taking orders but also wasn't interested in trying to stir the pot either. If Selena wanted to act like the one in charge, he couldn't be bothered but wasn't going to really give her the satisfaction of “obeying” . He just shrugged, completely ignoring her comment about his fashion sense. It was late at night, he was in sweats because he couldn't be bothered to try and dress any other way. It was pretty much his demeanor at this point. HE always preferred to be casual and comfortable rather than trying to dress up for any occassion or even try to look somewhat decent, the no one to impress angle. Still, Selena didn't have much time to say anything else because Polly saw her opening and a chance to deliver her own message by delivering a cheap shot to Ra’s throat and watching her drop like a rock out of nowhere. While Selena looked impressed, Andrew sort of had this surprised look on his face, given what he walked into and how defeated Polly looked, this little sneak attack gave a little more insight into what could be expected. Andrew didn't say anything, watching Selena act like she had unlocked something inside of Polly with her actions. Andrew really could sense the history between them, even if he had only been around for a short time but it certainly offered insight into what could be expected going into the final. This wasn't going to be like the first two matches they had together. With the stakes being that much higher, everyone needed to find that inner beast inside them and it just started to seem that Polly was finding hers. Andrew’s beast was there, he had molded it quite well into building himself into the Toughest out in wrestling. Something that Xavier, Billy and Amelia would soon find out with everything on the line. Andrew watches Selena and Ra make their exit and Andrew tries to go over towards Polly but Polly wants no part of it, she basically brushes him off as she storms out, promising not to do anything to fuck this whole thing up but doesnt give Andrew a chance to say anything to her about it.

Andrew wasn't even sure what he would have said either, just watching everything unfold was a bit of a trip for him. Maybe the old him would have tried to actually intervene but he didn't have the patience or even concern for it. He figured they were better off getting \this shit sorted out themselves and then saving the energy for whatever would happen at Apocalypse. Finding himself alone in Selena’s locker room, he realizes that he no longer has any need to be here. He sort of just shakes his head, wondering what actually just happened but trying not to let it bother him too much. With everything that happened on the show and perhaps just a bit of pent up energy and hostilities that needed to be sorted out, he pretty much had to bank on it being dealt with so that way, they would all be on the same page come Apocalypse. He makes his way out of the locker room and just looks around seeing no one in sight. Given that it's probably more past midnight now, he made his way slowly back towards his locker room to grab his bag. He had a ton of thoughts running through his head, being seen as the wild card in this match for his team was certainly a choice but one that he could get behind. It would mean that none of them really knew what was coming or what was to be expected. Given his long absence and his growth over that time, they really had no idea that he was more than just a wild card. He enjoyed that though, it would mean that they wouldn't see him coming when he shatters glass or gets one of them caught in the rain. He would easily be willing to do whatever it takes to get this win, he has no line. This would allow him to maintain a stronger focus on keeping his team in check and making sure that things won't get out of hand and letting things slip away. Even if Selena wants to control the narrative, even if Polly wants to play within the lines. Andrew was the one that could play anywhere he wanted and it would be accepted because everyone in this match does not see him as much. It’s not the same like with Billy who completely showed his hand with his pathetic need for social media attention. Andrew was one who preferred keeping things closer to the chest so when he played his card it would hit that much harder.

As he gets back to his locker room, he can hear the buzzing of his phone in his bag. He walks over towards it. He opens up the bag and grabs his phone, he looks at it and sees that it’s Bree calling him. He takes a second and a deep breath before he finally answers it.

Andrew: Hey, what's up?

Bree: I was wondering if you would ever answer. I Was starting to think you were ducking me on purpose.

Andrew: Sorry, was dealing with some tumultuous trios teammate shit before everything goes down at Apocalypse. Are you good?

Bree: Yeah, I'm fine. I know it's late but I was hoping that you would be able to come and meet me this week beforehand. Haven't had a chance to talk to you much since you’ve been back and we need to catch up!

Andrew knew that Bree would likely be looking for answers in regards to Rise to Greatness, rather than get into anything now, it was insanely late and Andrew wanted to get back to the hotel so he could get some sleep.

Andrew: Sure, I'll text you in the morning and we can figure something out.

Bree: Finally, thank you. See you soon

Bree ends the call and Andrew just tosses his phone back into his bag. He knows he has questions to answer for and part of him wonders how she’ll end up approaching this. KNowing he has to talk to her about Amy will probably go a long way in how he plays this moving forward. However he didn't care for that now, that was tomorrow 's problem. All he cared about now was getting his ass out of the arena and back to the hotel so he could be done with this night altogether.

On-Camera: For Selena and Polly

The scene opens with Andrew just sitting there, looking focused. He didn’t have much of a chance to speak to Selena and Polly directly following the showdown with the two teams. Given how things went in the locker room at the end of the night, he needed to make sure that he got his message across. He takes a deep breath and just looks forward.

Seems like I wasn’t afforded the chance much to get a message across to the two of you following that intense exchange in the locker room. While I didn’t want to press it while I was in there with you guys, I wanted to make sure that I had the chance, with cooler heads being able to watch this, to ensure that we can get on the same page and make sure that we know what is at stake with this final. I understand that there is a lot at stake, and I know that this is going to mean a lot to be able to secure these contracts and make sure that they don’t get the chance to win them, themselves.

Make no mistake about it, I don’t mind being considered the wild card, the one that people don’t see coming but Selena, I don’t really care that people remember me as the +1 or anything else. I know the man that I am, and I know that I helped elevate the Adrenaline championship to the main event status that it is now. I don’t need the motivational speech, the need to try and remain relevant when I have been gone for so long. I shocked the world at Rise to Greatness and I had my mind set elsewhere when this opportunity fell into my lap. Make no mistake having the chance to team up with you has been a pleasure and whatever means necessary to get the job done will be done. I respect you Selena, I know that there are a lot of people in this company that wouldn’t be bothered to save you or do anything to help you. Your motives are your own and I don’t have a problem with it. Whether you hold the rematch over their heads and have the contract in your back pocket. I don’t have an issue with you, and I certainly don’t have a concern of getting involved in your business after this is all said and done. I have my own motivations and my own path that I will be able to walk after I secure this contract.

I don’t even concern myself with the idea that you want to be the one in charge, to lead this little trio’s team because I just don’t care. I know what part I have to play and I know what it takes in order to win this thing so you can rest assured that even though they see me as a wild card, you know up front that I won’t take any chances and I will pull the trigger on what needs to be done.

Andrew takes a deep breath and turns his attention over to Polly to get his message to her across.

Polly, it’s pretty simple, when push comes to shove, you need to be able to back up all the talk about not wanting to fuck this up. When you delivered that cheap shot. Both Selena and I saw that you have the potential to do what must be done but in the moment inside that ring, you need to be able to have that same instinct.

You claim that this means everything to you and that’s all well and good but that’s not going to matter if you have the chance to do something that you might not like and refuse to do it. Any hesitation against these guys and Selena and I will see that moment cost us the Trios contracts and I don’t know what will happen to you as a result of that.

You didn’t want me to say anything when you finally picked yourself back up, claiming that you knew what you had to do, and I want to believe that. I have been around long enough, and I have more blood on my hands than you can fathom. Billy Amelia and Xander might not see it coming but I won’t hesitate to pull the trigger and end their careers if I have to.

It’s simple Polly, put up or shut up.

We are NOT going to be losing this match because you can’t get the job done.

The Code Of The Sith
Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
