It has been twenty-four hours since Glory Braddock’s unexpected and unsettling visit with Sophie O’Brian. It was unsettling due in large part to the fact that it took place at her father’s gravesite. Sophie had tracked her there, intending to put her in that uncomfortable situation. It was further evidence to Glory Braddock of how deranged Sophie had become. Still, despite their conversation, despite the confrontation, The British Bombshell is still no closer to figuring what really is bothering Sophie. She still has no idea what her true motivation is. Glory knows what Sophie has told her; according to Sophie, she believes that she alone is the true master of Glenn Braddock’s wrestling legacy and that she merely wants to teach Glory, Glenn’s daughter, all about it. This has been a point of contention all of their wrestling lives. Glenn Braddock taught all of his students that the tools and resources and skills known by a wrestler are weapons, which in turn make the wrestler a weapon, and that they should use that knowledge wisely. Glory Braddock took it to mean do only what is needed to win but no go further, do not intentionally hurt people. Sophie, on the other hand, has always believed that this lesson meant to do anything and everything within your power to get what you want. These two childhood best friends have always had this point of disagreement but never has Sophie taken it this far. Never has she taken to criminal acts in order to try and prove a point to The British Bombshell. It just makes no sense, not to Glory. She knows Sophie and she suspects that there may be something else there, some other underlying hidden motivation, some agenda that Sophie is not saying. Now this begs the question, does Glory Braddock indulge in Sophie’s game in hopes that it will make her go away and maybe learning what truly is bothering her?
Sophie O’Brian is dangerous and a sociopath. This isn’t the same person she grew up with, this isn’t her former best friend. Glory Braddock cannot make this decision lightly. This is what brings her to familiar territory; namely her father’s wrestling school in London, England. She is seated on a black folding chair around a long brown smooth table. The British Bombshell is wearing a simple, faded royal purple t-shirt, faded jeans, and white sneakers. Her long blonde hair hangs down in waves to past the shoulders. The gym area has a gray concrete floor and the walls are made of exposed red brick, and large windows allow natural light to enter, casting soft shadows. In the background, various gym equipment such as mats and a regulation professional wrestling ring are visible. The last time she was here was when she was training for Dogfight in Dusseldorf. The last time she was here, Sophie managed to sneak in unexpectedly. Since Sophie will be the topic of discussion, Glory has taken extra precautions to ensure Sophie will not be around to eavesdrop. The clicking of heels across the concrete floor alert The British Bombshell. She turns in time to see her sister, Julia Braddock, approaching. She wears a pink minidress that hugs her slim figure, while the hem of the dress ends mid-thigh, revealing her long, shapely legs. Julia completes her outfit with a pair of nude, stiletto heels.
“Expecting someone else?” Julia asks with a smirk.
“No, thankfully.”
“Sophie really has you nervous, huh?” Glory’s younger sister says as she takes a seat next to her at the table. Glory sighs and nods her head.
“Yes, yes she has…she has been acting very strange…”
“Isn’t that normal for her?” Julia snickers.
“Stranger than usual.” Glory points out. “That’s why I wanted you and Mark to stop by. Speaking of…where is Mark?”
“He was just behind me.”
As if on cue the sibling pair hears the door opening again. They turn to see the imposing figure of Mark O’Brian, Sophie’s older brother, entering the gym area. Mark is wearing a tight, fitting white stained shirt, torn loose fitting jeans, black combat boots, and a black leather jacket. His long curly brown hair cascades down to shoulder length. Glory smiles warmly and waves.
“Hi, Mark!”
“Glory! Jules! How’s it going?”
“We’re fine…all things considered.” Glory rises up out of her chair and approaches Mark, greeting him with hug. “I wish we were meeting under a better set of circumstances, mate.”
“You and me both.”
Glory turns and approaches the table, returning to her chair. Mark O’Brian approaches the table and sits down across from Glory and her sister Julia. These three have always been close growing up. Mark and his younger sister Sophie have always been an important part of their lives. Glory Braddock couldn’t think of any two individuals better to talk about this situation she finds herself in than these two.
“You weren’t followed?”
“No.” Julia answers, shaking her head.
“Besides, I know for a fact that Sophie is out at some bar right now.”
“Did she tell you that?”
“Yeah.”
“And that bastion of honesty would never lie.” Julia snickers.
“Fair point.” Mark says. “But I’m fairly certain we’re alone here.”
“Good because we need to talk about your sister, Mark.” Glory answers sternly. “She has gotten out of hand. She has gone too far.”
“I can’t argue that.” He shakes his head. “Sophie has been acting really weird lately.”
“And didn’t I already say that ‘acting weird’ is normal for her?” Julia counters.
“Hush!” Glory exclaims, pointing to Julia. Then she turns her attention back to Mark. “This is serious. Do you remember the stalker incident recently?”
“Yeah.” Mark growls. “The little creep who terrorized your family.”
“Well it turns out Sophie put him up to it.” Glory answers bluntly.
“Wait a sec…” his eyes grow wide as he tries to comprehend what he was just told about his sister “...Sophie was the one stalking you this entire time?!”
“In an indirect, roundabout way, yes.” Glory nods her head.
“And she was a trainer here…” Mark’s eyes seem to be filled with a mix of anger and disbelief “...she still is a trainer here, a coach!”
“Not anymore.” Glory points out. “As of now she is gone. Furthermore II got a restraining order to keep her away from the Glenn Braddock Wrestling School. If she goes anywhere near this place she will be arrested on the spot.”
“Not like that’s going to stop her.” Julia remarks. “I think we all know that.”
“Firing her wasn’t about stopping her as much as it is about protecting the students. While I do believe that I am her target and she wouldn’t hurt them, I cannot take that risk, at least not while I’m running this place.”
“Good.” Mark nods his head. “Keep her outta here. She was a bad influence on the kids anyway.”
“But what is her deal this time, Gloria?” Julia asks curiously. “Sophie always has some kind of plan, some agenda. What is it this time? What does she want from you?”
“That’s the problem…” she shrugs her shoulders “...I have no idea. I mean, she told me that she wants to teach me about dad…”
“Dad?” Julia furrows her brow. “He was OUR damn father! What the hell could that psycho teach you about him that you don’t already know?!” She looks over at Mark. “No offense about the psycho part.”
“None taken.”
“Sophie have always had that disagreement about our approach to wrestling. She thinks the Braddock method is going for the jugular, win by any means necessary, whereas I disagree.”
“Eh, I think I kinda agree with her on that.” Julia says.
“You would.”
“But the POINT is that why would she go to those kind of lengths just to prove a stupid point like that?”
“I agree, it makes no sense.” Glory says. “That’s why I think that there’s something else. She wants something else from me. I just wish I knew what it was.”
“If I may…” Mark chimes in “...I know my sister, better than either of you. She’s always been nuts but lately she has gone off the deep end. She has went deep into her insanity. And after hearing this?” He sighs “Honestly, she needs professional help. She needs to see a therapist.”
“There’s no way anyone, even me, could convince her to get help.”
“You could have her committed.” Julia says with a hint of venom in her voice. “You did it to me once.”
“I know.” Glory says painfully. “I regret that, Julia, and I’m sorry. I will not subject anyone to that again. If Sophie wants help, I want her to agree to get help.”
“Just saying you could.” Julia shrugs shoulders. “That’s Sophie’s motto, right? By any means necessary. Take her down by any means necessary.”
“I am not going to stoop to her level just to stop her.” Glory insists. “I am going to do this my way, the Braddock way.”
“Wait…” Julia arches her brow out of confusion “...you’re seriously thinking of taking her up on that crazy offer of hers, aren’t you?”
“I am.” She nods her head. “It’s the only way to get close enough to her, to maybe get her to open up, and find out what is bothering her, find out what this is really all about. It’s the only way I can maybe help her.”
“That’s a dangerous game, Glory.” Mark states. “You know how dangerous she is.”
“I know.” She nods her head. “But I have to try. She is my friend.”
“Look, I know I’ve been a little snarky today…” Julia begins.
“A little?”
“Ok, a LOT snarky.” Julia rolls her eyes. “But look, I am with you, Glory, Sophie used to be close. She has already been a close friend of the family. I hate to see what’s happened to her…” she sighs “...but you have to admit OUR friend may be gone.”
“I refuse to believe that.” Glory says.
The British Bombshell says this with confidence and yet deep down in her heart and soul she has doubts. She has questions whether or not she really can save Sophie O’Brian. They have been friends for so long, since they were children, but things have changed. Sophie has stooped to new lows and is acting criminally in order to get what she wants. She is falling deeper and deeper into insanity.

We open in front of a plain, off white wall, which acts as a clean, uncluttered backdrop for the scene. There are two long, off-white curtains that hang from the ceiling to the floor, framing the image with a soft, flowing texture. These curtains subtly diffuse the light, creating a gentle, even illumination. The fabric appears lightweight and its neutral hue complements the overall muted color palette of the setting. In front of the wall and curtains is a cushioned bench. The cushions are plush, providing a sense of comfort and casual luxury. Then the clicking of heels across a hardwood floor can be heard. Eventually Glory Braddock appears into the scene from the right. The British Bombshell is wearing an elegant and form-fitting black off-the-shoulder dress that accentuates her slender figure. The dress features a ruched design that adds texture and depth to the fabric, hugging her body closely and emphasizing her curves. The off-the-shoulder neckline exposes her collarbones, giving the outfit a sophisticated yet sultry appeal. The hemline of the dress is quite short, ending mid-thigh, showcasing her long legs. She pairs the dress with sheer black stockings, adding a subtle layer of refinement and allure to her ensemble. Her legs are further elongated by black high-heeled sandals, which feature thin straps wrapping around her ankles, contributing to a sleek and polished look. The heels themselves appear to be stilettos, adding to the overall elegance of the outfit. Her blonde hair is styled in loose, tousled waves that cascade over her shoulders.
“Life is all about learning and growth. I have always believed that we are always capable of learning something new, that we are always capable of growing and evolving into better people. The moment we stop learning, growing, and evolving is the day we die. So while many may think that I am a closed minded traditionalist in the same manner as my father, refusing to accept or even listen to new ideas or new was of approaching this business, the truth is that I am always keeping an open mind. My eyes and ears are always open to new ideas, to new lessons, and even new talent. Just look at SCW’s long and storied past, look at those who used to dominate this company. Those who are still here and still dominate are the ones who are willing to learn. Those who refuse to learn and refuse to accept change are the ones who are no longer here.” The British Bombshell pats herself on the chest.
“What about me? Well I am willing to learn, to change, and to adapt. That’s why I have survived and thrived in SCW. That’s why I was able to fulfill my goal of becoming a Supreme Champion when many told me that I couldn’t hang in this kind of elite environment. And I am still learning to this very day. What did I learn in the lead up to and the weeks that followed Dogfight in Dusseldorf? What did I learn about Dexter Grant? I already knew that he was a snake oil salesman and tin foil hat wearing goof. But now I learned that he is also a damn coward. He was afraid to fight Ace Marshall, so he attacked him from behind and put him on the shelf. Dexter was also afraid to fight The Best in the World in a fair fight so he cheated to win. Now he is continuing to show his fear and cowardice by refusing to give me my Adrenaline Title rematch unless it is a match of his choosing, a Disconnect Match, and the rules of which he conveniently will not disclose until the very last minute.” Braddock rolls her eyes.
“Gee, how original. Oh and threatening to destroy, to ruin the history and prestige of the Adrenaline Championship? You sound like a Saturday Morning Cartoon Super Villain! You sound like Snidely Whiplash! You won’t get a chance to do any of it, though, because you won’t hold that championship long enough to ruin it. You may be a coward and want to hold out on the match rules as long as you can, but make no mistake about it, I will beat your ass at Retribution and reclaim what is mine and this time I swear to God I will rip your damn arm out of its socket. I learned that you are a coward, Dexter, that’s what I learned about you. But you have a chance to prove me wrong. You had time to prepare for Dusseldorf. You knew the rules of the match. Spill the beans on your dumbass Disconnect Match on Breakdown. Give me the same amount of prep time as you had. Unless, of course, you just want to prove to the entire world that I am right, that you are a coward.” She smirks knowingly.
“Oh but Dexter isn’t the only person I learned a thing or two about. Colleen Macdonald, you started out as just one of Polly Playtime’s lackeys. You were a stooge, someone no one really gave a damn about. You know what you were? You were the cannon fodder. In a game of Chess, you would have been the pawn. Your job was to make sure Polly’s career advanced. But I have learned that you have changed. You have stepped away from your former role as just another stooge, as just a Playgirl, to being your own woman. Now look at you. You are a champion. My how times have changed since you first arrived in SCW. You haven’t rested on your laurels, either. You have been defending that championship and you beat Brittany Lohan of all people to retain that championship. Trust me, Britt and I go way back. Before we were best friends and tag team partners, we were the bitterest of enemies. She and I went to war many times in the past. I know how difficult it is to defeat her in a match that she specializes in. So I will give you your flowers and I am sincere about that.” Braddock claps her hands.
“So I know that this Colleen that I am about to face on Breakdown is not the same Colleen I have encountered in the past. This is not the same stooge who, alongside Aisling and Polly, gave me migraine headaches for reasons which I still don’t understand. I was minding my own business when you lot decided to annoy the piss out of me. What was it? Did you put every SCW wrestler’s name in a hat and pull one out at random and it happened to be mine? There’s no other reason I can think of because I sure as hell had no beef with any of you. I was just doing my job, a job that I do really well…I wrestle and I win. But what really got on my nerves, what really got under my skin, was Kim’s Trios Cash In. I suppose I could blame Kimberly. She made the match, after all. But I had scored two falls in her little chaos filled extravaganza. I was well on my way to leaving with a championship but your pals, Aisling and Polly, decided instead of trying to win gold, your goal should have been to try and murder me by suffocation.” She nods he head.
“I know what you’re gonna say…you weren’t a part of that, that was Aisling and Polly. Still, you were one of them. And you weren’t exactly being a saint yourself. Instead of trying to do what WRESTLERS do, which is to WRESTLE and WIN, you were laying down for Josh Hudson. Trying to help him get as many falls as possible. And had it not been for you refusing to do your job, Owen Cruze might have retained the World Title that night. I hope Josh gave you a nice big reward for that.” Braddock winks.
“Now I get it, you are NOT the same person you were back then. You are not the person who annoyed the piss out of me, who made a mockery of the business, who was always a pawn in someone else’s game. You have grown into your own person and for that I can honestly say I am impressed and you earned my respect…although you’ll likely say you don’t care about my respect, whatever…but I am not exactly in the best of moods right now. And I have a match coming up, quite the unexpected of challenges because I don’t even know what the hell the rules are. Yet I have the unusual benefit of facing someone who arguably should be the very picture of unexpected challenges and unpredictability…that is, if you really ARE truly deserving of that Underground Championship you hold. Kimberly doesn’t think you deserve it. But you are the champion of the most unpredictable division in SCW. So go out there and prove it against me. Show me how unpredictable you can be so I can learn a thing or two about unpredictability ahead of my own challenge against Dexter Grant.” The British Bombshell snickers.
“In the process I will use this opportunity on Breakdown to exorcise some of those demons from the past. That anger and frustration that I have always held against you and your pals for the grief you gave me for literally no damn reason whatsoever, I will get the chance to finally let it go, by unloading all of it onto you. Polly and Aisling won’t be there to help you. It’s just you and me. So you get to take the full force of my wrath. Because I never truly did get pay you lot back for the headaches, for your annoying antics, for getting involved in my business, for costing me championships. Two of you aren’t available but you, Colleen, you ARE and you have been elected as the sacrificial lamb for me to take out my frustrations. And for you? This is your chance to prove to people like Kimberly and others that you are not someone to be taken lightly, that you are a very different person than the stooge for Polly or Hudson’s little bitch. You can prove to them what I already know, that you are your own person. But the problem for you is that I DO know that already, I have learned that lesson, and I am prepared for anything and everything you can throw at me. So good luck, Colleen…you will need it.”
