The tensions are rising as the 2025 SCW Trios Tournament now is just a little less than twenty four hours away from commencing. “The Assassin” Clyde Sutter and his lovely bride to be “The Third Generation Goddess” got extremely lucky with their draw, as they ended up on the same Trios Team. The third wheel of their Trio will be a formidable one to say the least; former SCW World Tag Team Champion Alex Belmont. Is it luck that has put this trio in prime position to potentially run the gauntlet and win the entire tournament this year? Sutter and Braddock would say that it was Fate. Fate has decided that this year their team will win and they will bring home the Trios Contracts. It all begins tomorrow night on Breakdown from Sacramento, California when they face their quarter finals opponents Diamond Steele, Chris Lawler, and Dexter Grant. The first round opposition they drew is another sign in the minds of Sutter and Braddock that Fate is smiling upon them. Diamond Steele has had little to no luck in SCW since signing with the promotion and Dexter Grant doesn’t even want to be a part of the tournament to begin with. This leaves Chris Lawler with no one he can truly rely on.
The elevator doors opened with a muted chime, releasing the trio of Clyde Sutter, Melinda Braddock, and Fiona Logan into the quiet hallway of the top floor. The carpet beneath their feet was thick, patterned in muted gold and burgundy, muffling every step as they made their way toward the suite at the end of the corridor. Clyde Sutter led the way, his tall frame and broad shoulders cutting an imposing silhouette against the soft glow of the wall sconces. He moved with a quiet confidence, his long black hair tied loosely at the back of his neck. Behind him, Melinda Braddock followed with a graceful composure that came naturally to her, though her curious blue eyes darted about, taking in every detail of the upscale hotel surroundings. Dressed in fitted travel clothes and an ivory jacket, she looked effortlessly elegant, the sort of woman who could turn heads without trying. Fiona Logan trailed just a step behind them, hands tucked into the pockets of her black leather jacket. The Boston native had a presence all her own, sharp-edged, grounded, and far less interested in appearances. Her dark hair fell straight past her shoulders, a stark contrast to Melinda’s polished poise. The soft California evening light filtering through the hallway windows caught the faint glint of the small silver cross at her neck, an understated accessory that said more about her than words could.
When Clyde stopped before the suite, he retrieved the keycard; before the light on the lock turned green with a soft click. The door swung open to reveal a spacious suite, modern and refined, with tall windows overlooking the Sacramento skyline. The fading daylight stretched long across the floor, painting the cream colored walls in shades of amber and gold. Inside, the living area was tastefully arranged with sleek furniture and a glass coffee table that reflected the glow of the setting sun. A bouquet of fresh lilies rested in a vase near the minibar, their faint perfume drifting through the room. Luggage was set aside neatly as Clyde surveyed the space, his gaze steady and evaluating, while Melinda moved toward the window, already captivated by the view. Fiona lingered by the entrance for a moment, her expression softening slightly as she took in the quiet, polished calm of the suite.
“Now this is what I’m talking about!” Fiona exclaims as she approaches a plush, luxurious sofa and instantly plops down onto it. Melinda Braddock walks over and gazes down at Fiona, folding her arms over her chest, and smirks.
“I didn’t think the lap of luxury was your thing?”
“It’s not.” Fiona winks. “But a girl can treat herself every now and then, can’t she?”
“Of course.”
Braddock looks up from Fiona to find Clyde wandering around the suite. The intimidating, imposing harbinger of Fate appears to be looking for something as he scans the room, looking at each and every wall, stopping at the windows and looking out. His paranoia seems higher than usual. Braddock furrows her brow as she approaches him. She wraps her arms around him, causing him to turn around and face her.
“Yes, my love?”
“Are you ok?”
“Of course, I am.” He smiles warmly.
“You just seem a little distracted.” Melinda points out. “Does it have anything to do with the SCW Trios Tournament? I mean, I get it, this tournament is a big deal. The pressure to win it is real because the winners get those Trios Contracts.”
“Yes, I know.” Sutter nods his head. “With those contracts come so much power to control Supreme Championship Wrestling. But you should know by now that I am no longer bothered by pressure of such high stakes situations. My trust is in Fate. Whatever Fate has planned will be.”
“So you’re not concerned about losing?” Melinda asks. Sutter shakes his head.
“Of course not. Besides, is there any doubt that Fate is on our side?” Clyde smirks knowingly. “We were placed on the same team…” he kisses her on the lips softly and gently “...it was meant to be.”
“Bleg…” Fiona feigns gagging as she sits up “...other people are in the room, guys!”
“Oh calm down, Fiona.” Melinda chuckles. “Clyde and I will make history. The first couple to win Trios Contracts.”
“Would that be a first?”
“Pretty sure.” Melinda nods her head.
“Regardless, we will bring not just one but TWO Trios Contracts to our group.” The Assassin chimes in. “The power will be ours to wield and use as we see fit. Fate has decided this. So have no fears, my love, this Trios Tournament is of no concern.”
“That’s good, I suppose,” Melinda states “but something is bothering you.”
“Melinda…”
“Don’t lie to me.” Melinda says commandingly. “You can’t lie to me. I know you too well. Something is definitely bothering you and if it isn’t the Trios Tournament, then what is it?”
The Assassin sighs. He slowly walks past Melinda and then over towards the sofa. Fiona moves over, making room for Clyde. He sits down. Melinda Braddock sits down next to him and places a gentle hand on his knee.
“Callum Slater.”
“Oh, him…” Melinda’s voice trails off. Fiona furrows her brow out of confusion.
“Who is that dude?”
“He was getting lessons from my grandfather’s wrestling school the same year as Clyde.” Melinda says. “Clyde was going through difficult times. He could not control his anger, his temper, his rage; he ended up assaulting Slater, injuring him to the point that he could not finish the training.”
“Damn.” Fiona exclaims.
“Some strange things have been happening lately.” Melinda explains. “Stalking, break ins, all targeting Clyde. Clyde thinks that Callum may be behind it.”
“Except that he’s not.” Sutter chimes in. Melinda arches her brow out of surprise.
“What?!”
“I managed to track down Callum and I…interrogated him…” Sutter shakes his head “...and I learned that he was NOT permanently injured and, in fact, he is working to complete his wrestling training.”
“So he has no reason to seek revenge?” Melinda asks.
“Correct. Besides, he is holding down a respectable job and he no longer lives a life of crime. He has turned his entire life around, just like me.”
“That’s good for him.” Melinda sighs. “But what does that mean for you?”
“It means I am back at square one.” Sutter shrugs his shoulders. “I have no idea who is behind these targeted harassments.”
“Y’know, if I may say something?” Fiona speaks up, bringing the attention of Clyde and Melinda onto her. “If you ask me, I think you should look at the person you’d least suspect.”
“What do you mean?” Clyde asks curiously.
“Think about this, would you ever suspect family of doing anything bad to you?” She pauses to let the question simmer for a moment. “If it were me, if someone were doing something to me, my first suspects would be family. My biological parents abandoned me, maybe they decided to track me down after all these years? My foster father was an asshole who hurt me and abused me when I was in his care. Maybe he decided he wasn’t done hurting me?”
“I see your point.” Melinda says, nodding her head. “Perhaps my mother is behind this? She does still hate you, Clyde. She has a lot of connections, it would be easy for her to harass you.”
“Your mother would not be behind this.” Clyde remarks, shaking his head. “She knows that it would just further alienate her from you. Besides, I do think that she is legitimately trying to accept our relationship.”
“Sure.” Melinda rolls her eyes and looks on skeptically.
“Look, we’re getting off track.” Fiona states. “I’m not saying that its definitely family. It could be. It might not be. I’m just saying that the person targeting the big guy here is likely someone he least suspects.”
“Fair enough.” Melinda looks over at Clyde. “So does any of this help? Does it give you any possible suspects?”
“As a matter of fact…” Sutter narrows his eyes in an angry glare “...it does.”.

Greetings my lovelies! Three time, longest reigning, and current one half of the Midwest Championship Wrestling Tag Team Champions, and soon to be 2025 Trios Tournament winner, The Third Generation Goddess herself Melinda Braddock is here for your viewing pleasure!
Yes, it’s true, the 2025 Trios Tournament has arrived. The Trios Tournament is famous, some would say infamous, due to the long term chaos it causes. The chaos begins with the teams formed for the tournament; a bunch of unorganized losers who can’t get along desperately trying to survive, not really win, but just survive and not tear each other apart. Then after the tournament has ended, the chaos continues with the three winners using those contracts to create even more chaos by wielding the massive power to book any matches that their hearts desire.
I think we have our first hashtag of the day, am I right? And this, as well as all of my other hashtags, go out to that idiot who hates any and all forms of social media, one of my quarter finals opponents Dexter Grant.
#Chaos
#TriosChaos
#TriosTournament
Things are never quite as they appear, my lovelies. You look at these Trios Tournaments and it is easy to see all of this chaos and anarchy seemingly run rampant and rule the day. But if you peel back the layers and get to the real heart of the matter, you will see that chaos truly has nothing to do with it. You will see that Fate ultimately is in control. My man says it all the time but why listen to him? Just look at my mother…
…I mean, she does enjoy that spotlight, so please, look at her! She won the Trios Tournament two years in a row. Do you think that is chaos? No, my lovelies, that is Fate. Fate smiled upon my mother by giving her two Trios Contracts in a row. Of course, she squandered them both.
#Squandered
#Wasted
Rest assured that this will be different. Fate is smiling on a new Braddock and her name is Melinda Braddock, the Third Generation Goddess. I will repeat what my mother did and win my first ever Trios Tournament. Unlike my mother, my Trios Contract will not go to waste because I will listen to Fate.
If you don’t believe that Fate is on my team’s side, just look at the evidence. What is the likelihood that I would get my future husband, my man Clyde Sutter, drawn as one of my Trios Tournament partners? With Alex Belmont, a former tag team champion in his own right, as the third member of our team, we practically have the tag team chemistry part locked down. We are already a well-oiled machine. It wasn’t luck that this perfect team was put together, it wasn’t chaos either, it was Fate. Fate has given this team the easy road to victory…
…a road that begins against Diamond Steele. Chris Lawler. Dexter Grant.
#DexterGrant
There! Get him trending, my lovelies, just to piss him off. The funny thing about him is that he doesn’t even want to be a part of this tournament to begin with. It has something to do with how this feeds into his strange ass conspiracy theory nonsense. Somehow being in this tournament will connect him or whatever it is he hates. But the thing is, he doesn’t want to be a part of it and when you have a competitor who clearly doesn’t want anything to do with this tournament, then how can you count on them to be a team player?
Diamond Steele could certainly use the Trios Tournament Contract to jumpstart her career. But she can’t even buy a win against anyone on this roster. This isn’t a knock against her. It’s just facts. Fate has not been kind to her and I do not see that changing anytime soon. How can you count on someone who clearly has a massive string of bad luck?
Which brings me to the man who is an island unto himself. Chris Lawler.
#IslandUntoHimself
#SucksToBeLawler
#LawlerCutter
You would be a massive threat in this tournament under any other circumstances, Chris. Trust me, I know. You took Selena Frost to her limit. You own victories over my man Clyde. But let’s be realistic here; one partner is on a massive losing streak, the other doesn’t want to play ball. You are on a team where you literally can only trust yourself.
Me, Clyde, and Belmont are a unit. We are all on the same page. That doesn’t bode well for you, Chris. Quite frankly, it doesn’t bode well for anyone else in this tournament. We are the only team in this entire tournament built upon trust. We are the only team that was built by Fate itself. So don’t be surprised when we mow through Steele, Lawler, and Grant.
Don’t be surprised when we take down our semi-final competition next week.
And don’t be surprised when Clyde Sutter, Alex Belmont, and “The Third Generation Goddess” Melinda Braddock are announced as the winners of the 2025 Trios Tournament at Under Attack, because Fate has written the script for this year’s Trios Tournament and, as my man always says, the Fate…the Fate of each and every other team in this tournament…is sealed.
