Willow Aspen knew she wasn't alone. As she pulled herself to her feet, she looked around her bedroom, confronted only by a shadow. She flinched...
Voice: "You have not done as well as promised."
Willow hangs her head slightly, but still looks at the shadow.
Willow: "There have been complications."
Voice: "Your father knew of complications, and still overcame."
Willow: "I will overcome too..."
Voice: "How? By being a pushover? A lackey? By laying down for the likes of the idiots and transients of SCW?"
Willow: "I'll get back up."
Voice: "You are running out of time."
She sits up with a sweat-drenched look of terror in her eyes. Her chest heaves.
Voice: "Right the ship, child... or your father will be paying you a visit very soon."
Willow: "How do you know my fa..."
Voice: "I have advised your father from the beginning. As such, I have been aware of your... mistaken existence... for just as long. He didn't speak of you because there was nothing to speak of. I hold out hope that you are able to prove him wrong. But after Glory... after Colleen... my confidence wanes. Do not make me have to return again."
Willow doesn't answer, hearing only footsteps as the shadow exits her bedchamber. Standing up, she moves to the door, locking the deadbolt before holding herself up on the door. The scene fades...
