LEǤION lifts the opponent straddling his shoulder. He then reaches up to grab the opponent's head and bends them forward as he drops to a seated position while driving the opponent's neck and back into the mat.
This move is always named after the location of the match. For example, if the match is taking place in Los Angeles, it will be called The Doom That Came to L.A.
Finisher: BLOOD EAGLE
Finisher Descriptions (If Needed): Inverted Sharpshooter with Double Chickenwing
With the opponent on on their back, LEǤION grabs their legs and steps through their legs like a traditional sharpshooter and bends the their left leg until the ankle is behind their right leg. However, instead of stepping over the opponent to flip them, LEǤION flips the opponent over from left-to-right, keeping the opponent in front of them.
He then leans over the opponent and grabs their arms, applying a double chicken wing to the opponent. The applying wrestler then squats back, putting immense pressure on their shoulders and spine. Non-heavyweight wrestlers are completely lifted off the mat. This move can be followed by any attack that sees the opponent lying supine, but most often it follows his signature attacks Impaler or From Hel.

Signature Move Descriptions (If Needed): LEǤION charges toward an opponent or dives at them from an elevated surface. His shoulder thrusts into their midsection and snaps them backward, forcing them violently back first onto the mat.

Signature Move Descriptions (If Needed): The opponent is lying prone in the center of the ring. LEǤION climbs or leaps to the top turnbuckle and faces the opponent in a crouched position. He slowly stands, allowing the audience time to focus on what's about to happen. Then, in a blink of an eye, he suddenly launches himself up and forward with his arms spread like eagle wings. He rotates backward as he travels to mid ring and lands on the opponent's chest.
Signature Move: BLOOD MIST
Signature Move Descriptions (If Needed): Blood Mist is an illegal maneuver which sees LEǤION spit a red, viscous mist into the eyes of an opponent. It covers their face and fills their eyes, causing blindness for a brief amount of time. To avoid a disqualification he must perform the attack outside the view of the referee or during matches in which there are no DQs.

The slow beat of rattling chains and the singer’s droning voice underscore a blood red fog which has begun to spew out of the entrance, illuminated by stage lights. HE COME IN EARLY MORNING… DEVIL IS FINE! HE GO BY MANY NAMES… DEVIL IS KIND! WE GONNA GO HOME TO THE FLAMES… DEVIL IS FINE!
Slowly and methodically, the outline of… something begins to move within the billowing crimson gloom as the verse repeats itself with a droning undertone. The mist is falling slowly to the ground, revealing a crouched man with his head down low. The music stops, and a white spotlight shines down on the figure, who slowly uncoils and stands tall with his arms outstretched like the crucified savior of so many in attendance.
EXPLOSIONS rattle the arena as Zeal & Ardor’s Tuskegee shreds the hundreds of speakers mounted around the arena. A metal growl screams BAD BLOOD as the man known as LEǤION begins walking toward the ramp. From the neck down, his body is covered in scrawling messages in countless different hands, all reading WE ARE MANY. Thousands of eyes watch his every movement. Some cheer like a ravenous mob, while others boo out of utter contempt and disgust, but every single one of them are on their feet.
When he nears ringside, he takes off running and slides stomach first under the ropes and crawls like a primordial being to the center of the ring. He cranes his neck around, eyes the sea of faces, before once again standing like a cobra, arms outstretched and head craned back as the final notes of his music fade out.
As his music comes to an end, he removes the talon crown from his head and the raven-feathered cape before handing them to the referee, who gives them to a producer at ring side.
Biography: The following is an excerpt from the upcoming book A Downward Spiral: the Story of Niels Gram and Jackie Moreau by former New Orleans detective turned true crime author Alex Dupin:
Nathan Grey is an American professional wrestler of Danish and French heritage. He is the biological son of professional wrestler and mixed martial artist Niels Gram, better known by the ring name Spiral, and Jacqueline Moreau-Gram, who was a professional wrestling valet under the name Jackie Frost. Niels and Jackie had only just begun dating when she discovered she was pregnant. She left Niels without telling him and disappeared, going to live with her uncle Hugo Smith, a professional wrestler known as Creative Control, and his wife Evey. After the baby was born she decided to return to Niels but not with their son. She sent the baby to live with Hugo and Evey’s daughter, Maura, and her husband Douglas Grey, on the condition that they never reveal to the child the identity of his birth parents. The couple adopted the baby and named him Nathan.
Nathan was a very intelligent child, learning to play the piano at age 4 and entering school academically ahead of the other children. He also showed interest in athletics, starting with karate at age six and later joining the elementary school wrestling team.
His biological mother Jackie died in December 2005, a few months after separating from her then husband Niels, who found her body in her New Orleans apartment. The coroner ruled it suicide by gunshot, but police believed it was Niels who pulled the trigger and manipulated the crime scene to give the appearance that she shot herself. He was prosecuted vigorously but the jury couldn’t come to a decision and the judge ruled it a mistrial. However, based on the psychological exam performed by state doctors prior to the trial, the judge ordered Niels to be confined to a state hospital until he was no longer a danger to himself or others.
Niels was later released in June 2009. Nathan’s adopted grandfather Hugo became distraught and sought Niels out with the intent to kill him. He was killed by police in Niels’ New Orleans mansion on July 1. Though his adopted parents kept their word by not telling Nathan why Hugo was trying to kill Niels Gram, they couldn’t hide the death of his grandfather or the circumstances of his death. They told Nathan that Hugo was close to Jackie from their days working in professional wrestling and he blamed Niels for her death. Nathan grew to hate Niels, blaming him for his grandfather’s death. However learning of Hugo’s past as a professional wrestler, which he had never been told of, made him interested in the sport. His parents forbid it but at fifteen he began training in secret to become a professional wrestler.
Nathan made his in-ring debut in 2013, the day after his eighteenth birthday. He worked for an independent promotion called Asylum Underground using his legal name. He worked for AU and other small promotions for the next seven years. He became more confident in his abilities and gained popularity among dirt sheet readers and on social media, but found it difficult to break into the national and international scene.
On November 2nd, 2020, Nathan had just put his gear away in the locker room after a show in New Jersey when another wrestler saw on twitter that Niels Gram had died. The former fighter’s official twitter account had just posted an obituary, stating that he passed after a short battle with brain cancer. At the end it revealed he had a son also named Nathan Grey. Nathan shrugged it off as a coincidence and gathered his belongings to head out.
It was raining when he got to the parking lot. He hurried past the cars to find his Honda Civic parked at the far end. As he got close, he saw a black Cadillac idling next to it and a man in a suit waiting under an umbrella. He introduced himself as Avi Mendel, a lawyer based out of Louisiana, and that he was sent to deliver some legal documents on behalf of his client, Niels Gram. Nathan laughed it off as a gag but after some convincing accepted a business card before driving off in his car.
He spent the drive back to Phoenix going over everything in his head, considering all the coincidences in his life which involved the man known to the wrestling world as Spiral. He stopped at his parents’ house in Maricopa County and confronted them. After arguing, they eventually admitted Niels Gram was his biological father and his mother was Jackie. Nathan stormed out and headed to his apartment. When he arrived he called Mendel and agreed to meet. The lawyer was already in Phoenix, having anticipated the call. The two met at a restaurant called Cocina Madrigal. Mendel explained he was handling the estate of Niels Gram, which consisted of sizable assets in both the U.S. and Denmark, including houses, vehicles, stocks and investments, as well as money.
Nathan asked the lawyer about his birth mother, and if it was true that Niels killed her. Mendel denied it, of course, pointing to a grudge going back several decades between Niels and the Louisiana Attorney General as reason for the charges and pointed out that the coroner ruled it a suicide. It was unfortunate, the lawyer continued, that Nathan’s adopted grandfather Hugo believed the lies about his client, leading to the event in which his life was ended by the same detective who had tried to put Niels away.
That detective, of course, was me, when I worked homicide for the New Orleans police department. I knew Niels killed Jackie and worked damn hard to put him away. I also was the one who shot and killed Hugo Smith after he refused to drop his weapon that was aimed at Niels, who was bleeding out on the floor from a shoulder wound. I think about that night quite often. I don’t regret firing my weapon, as I was performing my sworn duty, even if it meant saving the life of someone who didn’t deserve to live. But often the last thought I have before falling asleep is how much pain and misery would have been prevented if I had been just a minute later coming into Niels’ house. I do not doubt the world would have been a much better place without him in it. I can only take solace knowing that now he truly is gone forever, no longer able to hurt anyone ever again.
