Breakdown opens with Asher Hayes coming to the ring, running down Simon Lyman for threatening his family and for Kandis, as usual, always coming up short. They both could have asked for an invitation…he would’ve told them off, but nonetheless, they could’ve asked and understood their fates. But now he wants some consequences. Simon Lyman comes out at this point, joined by his new management team. They do the speaking for him, explaining that Lyman is very sorry for his outburst and that he is ready to face his punishment. Asher can have Simon in any match for the World Title he wants. CHBK comes out and says that won’t be happening. As a result of Simon’s actions, he is out of World Title contention. He will not receive another shot unless he earns it and he should focus on his TV Title shot. As for Asher, he will have his hands full with Xander. And Xander has his own title hopes.

Derek Adonis defeats Crystal Zdunich via pinfall. Crystal is about to defeat Derek Adonis when a black mist billows out from the stage and around the ring, getting Crystal’s attention. As she looks around, Adonis, unaware, and seemingly unaffected, takes advantage.

Holly Adams (through a minion with an Ipad on their head) approaches Asher Hayes. Suggests that is great that finally he took her teachings to heart and that finally he’s not a failure. Hayes snaps back. Holly then offers her services to help Xander. But only if he recognizes her role in his winning the World Title. Hayes tells her off.

Ravyn Taylor defeats Alex Desoubrais Jr. (who does not have the Brand out with her). Ravyn, after the match, locks in the Broken Heart, CHBK’s finisher, and forces Desoubrais Jr. to tap. After the match, Desoubrais Jr. limps to the back. Lexy Chapel watches from ringside. Syren does too as Ravyn smiles.

Kandis comes out, running down Asher, saying his time is number, but it looks like fate has his dance card full, mentioning Fatal Fortunes and the End of the Year Title shot. Until then, Konrad Raab can be her focus and when he survives Polly, she’ll be waiting.

Twisted & Sadistic defeat Statera in a back and forth match. To finish the match, Lohan unleashed repeated Ultimate Solution’s on Datura before pinning her.

The One Kirsten Scott comes to the ring and announces her cash-in for the Trios Tournament. Taking place on the final Breakdown of 2023, three titles will be on the line with her challenging Deanna Frost for the United States Championship. If she’s not good enough to be in the chamber, she’ll prove otherwise. If Deanna loses, then The One will save the US Title from whomever has it. The other two “matches” will be announced on the next Breakdown.

A Fatal Fortunes advertisement plays revealing the return of Selena Frost.

Religious Wright celebrates backstage.

Kimberly Williams approaches Datura, but finds her talking to James Evans. Kim then steps up and goes over to attack James, only for Datura to stop her. The House of James shows up before anything further can be done.

Konrad Raab and Polly have a bloody brawl, using no weapons, leading to Polly winning, only for Sarah Wolf to come out after the match and shove Polly off the top rope, causing her to plummet to the mats. Raab ignores this, heading to the back.

Backstage, Kandis is shown fighting Dakon Theron before Raab tells Theron to stop. Kandis then smirks and tells him to come at him, before security breaks it up.

La Pequena Luz defeats Simon Lyman to retain the SCW Television Championship.

Adam Brock returns and calls out Sal Darius. Darius does not come out. Instead Ace Sky does, deciding he’d like to face a veteran. Brock tells him to see if fate is on his side next week.

Asher Hayes defeats Xander Valentine by disqualification when both are getting up and Cidnay runs into the match, striking Asher Hayes with the SCW World Championship before then turning and striking Xander Valentine for good measure and then dropping the title and running.
