Breakdown Card – February 29, 2024 – Rogers Arena, Vancouver BC

Deanna Frost vs. Marie Jones

Just over a week before she defends her US championship in a Last Woman Standing match, Deanna Frost takes on Marie Jones. Marie will be looking to keep redeeming herself, but one wonders if there’s a bit of a spark here given Deanna and Kimberly Williams’s history. Nonetheless, Marie Jones also wrestles a style similar to Polly and so it could be a good test for Deanna, but also a notable threat as Marie Jones is a former US Champion herself.

Amy Chastaine vs. Polly

Amy Chastaine apparently wanted a match beyond her match against Kirsten Scott at Retribution. The result is that she will face Polly Pingotti just before the biggest match in Polly’s career. This makes her incredibly dangerous for Amy, but nonetheless, Amy will need to get back to her top level to be prepared for the fight The One will give her at Retribution.

“The One” Kirsten Scott vs. Gavin Taylor

Kirsten Scott could quickly shut up any naysayers by beating the man who helped her beat Xander Valentine. Gavin Taylor is on a winning streak and undoubtedly, he has no plans to stop it. Scott meanwhile has a chip on her shoulder getting bigger and bigger. Something has to give.

Kandis vs. Ace Sky

Kandis demanded a match for this night and wanted someone similar to Selena Frost to send another message to Selena Frost. Enter the veteran Ace Sky. While not a perfect analogue for the World Champion, Ace Sky is going to look to humiliate the number one contender a week before her World Title match. Given Sky’s willingness to use aerial attacks, and Kandis wrestling a very different style, this could be a unique match. But after Selena’s World Title defense against Religious Wright, what may we see here?

Syren vs. Amelia Blythe

Syren’s win streak continues but she will have a couple of massive challenges when she faces one half of the former World Tag Team Champions, Amelia Blythe. Blythe has shown glimpses of singles glory and a win over Syren would open that door even more. But every win is precious given Lexy Chapel’s aims for Syren and the World Title.

Dark Fantasy vs. Chance Owens & Kelsai Adamson

Enter then this match – the match that was supposed to happen on February 8, but did not thanks to the actions of Twisted & Sadistic. Instead, Owens and Adamson had a hard fought title challenge against the champions. But now they face that match they originally had scheduled and with higher stakes. Add Owens and Adamson’s own tag title hopes…this could be more than just a trap match.

SCW Television Championship
SMP vs. The Enigma

The Enigma is quickly developing a reputation for mind games and terrorizing his competitors. Enter SMP who after another hard fought loss, stepped up to challenge The Enigma. Will he live to regret it though?

Will Selena Frost and Kandis have another run-in, just over a week before they clash at Retribution?

Will Twisted & Sadistic try anything against Dark Fantasy? Will they call Ravyn’s bluff? What will Light in the Darkness do?

Kimberly Williams was heard glowing about David Striker after Breakdown. Could she have something to say to him on Breakdown? Or will David Striker be focusing on whatever his issue is with the trio formerly known as the Playgirls?

Who survived the melee that ended Breakdown last week?

What else will happen on the Retribution go-home edition of Breakdown?

Updated with correct dates since I can't read a calendar (or I just want February over. One of the two).
