The final Breakdown before Under Attack has just concluded. The Woman Scorned, the five time former SCW Underground Champion Kimberly Williams, has been campaigning in the weeks since Apocalypse for a shot at the Underground Championship. Now the Queen of Chaos member has her opportunity to regain her coveted title and make in history in the process. She just has to survive a Chamber Match against the likes of David Striker, Colleen McDonald, Billy Heaven Jr, Veronica Strader, and the champion Brilliant Sun Princess YUSA. Kimberly has been involved in some brutally violent, insane matches during her career, but what might surprise many is the fact that this is Kimberly’s first chamber match. Thus Kimberly will be making her own personal history in competing in what will be her first ever chamber match, she just hopes she can make more history by winning the whole thing and becoming the first ever six time SCW Underground Champion. Making history isn’t enough for Kim. The roar of the crowds, the thrill of competition, it isn’t enough for The Woman Scorned. She needs the Underground Division. She needs the Underground Championship. Kimberly realizes now just how badly she needs that title. The Woman Scorned does not believe she is anything without that championship. Thus Under Attack has become much more for Williams. It has become a must win scenario. She needs to win this chamber match because she truly does not know where she will go from there if she fails.

Kimberly is trying to mask these intense thoughts and the gravity of the situation underneath the veil of her Crazy Kim persona. It’s the best she can do. Never show weakness or vulnerability. The muffled roars of the crowd seep through the walls backstage at the Canadian Tire Centre, resonating like distant thunder. The self-proclaimed Queen of the Death Match stands in the shadows of the sprawling arena corridors, her head tilted in awe. Dressed in a relaxed outfit; a pair of faded jeans and a loose graphic tee that reads “Queens of Chaos”, she contrasts sharply with the vibrant, fashionable presence of her mother, Angelica Jones, who walks next to her. Angelica, her hair an intense shade of red matching her daughter’s but styled with sleek sophistication, is clad in a tailored blazer and stylish high-waisted trousers. Her jewelry glints under the backstage lights, and her polished look exudes an effortless elegance that makes her stand out among the bustling crew. With her keen gaze scanning the organized chaos around them, Angelica seems as if she belongs, her confidence radiating with each knowing glance she shares with the passing staff.

“Well, you got what you want…” Angelica sighs “...congratulations are in order, I suppose?”

“Damn right they are!” Kim exclaims. “I mean, sure, I would’ve preferred to carve YUSA up like a fish on my own, but I’ll take what I can get. I promised not to cause any problems and I won’t.” Kim makes the sign of the cross over her chest, feigning a sense of innocence. “Cross my heart, no problems here! I am just happy to have my opportunity at the title and I intend to make the most of it.”

“Yes, you say that now, but I’m not entirely sure you know what you are getting into here.” Angelica says in a scolding tone that, appropriately enough, resembles the way a mother might lecture a daughter.

“Uh, I’m getting myself into an Underground Title Match.”

“Yes, but this isn’t just for the Underground Title.” Angelica points out. “This is a chamber match. You have never been in a chamber match. So you have no idea what you are getting yourself into but me? I know what you are getting into. I have been in many chamber matches in my career. They…” she pauses for a moment as she thinks about her next words for a moment “...they change a person.”

“Oh, really?” Kim sounds excited. “Can I change into a unicorn?”

“Kim!” Angelica exclaims. “I’m being serious!”

“And so am I!” Kim says. “I am going to be fine, mom. I am the Queen of the Death Match and I take that moniker very seriously. Do you think I won’t be ready for whatever the hell a chamber match might throw at me?”

“I get it, I really do.” Angelica nods her head. “Death Matches, hardcore matches, the Underground, that is your forte. That is your strength. But the chamber is just…” she sighs and shakes her head “...it’s just different. You wouldn’t know what I mean unless you’ve been in one.”

“Well lucky me I get to be in my first one very soon!” Kim jumps up and down and claps happily. “I’ll make history for myself, entering and competing in my first chamber match, and I will make history by becoming the first ever six time Underground Champion!”

While Kim is happily and joyfully jumping up and down gleefully, something falls out of her pockets; Angelica happens to take note and a lightbulb seems to go off over her head as she recognizes the item. It happens to be a set of rosary beads. Angelica knows her children better than anyone else does and she knows that carrying a set of rosary beads is definitely out of the ordinary for Kimberly Williams. Angelica bends down and picks up the beads. She studies them carefully.

“Kim…” her voice trails “...where did you get these?”

“Oh. Nowhere special.”

“You’re lying.” Angelica states definitively. “These were my mother’s rosary beads. I recognized them almost as soon as they fell from your pocket. Where’d you get them?”

“Fine, if you must know…” Kim sighs as she snatches the rosary away from Angelica and puts them back in her pocket “...Marie gave them to me. Some kinda weird gift to make me feel closer or like I belong to the Jones family or some cheesy, mushy shit like that.”

“Mushy shit? Cheesy?” Angelica’s sweet, motherly tone takes on a harsher, angrier tone. Even Kimberly is somewhat surprised by this and takes a few steps back. “These belonged to my mother, YOUR grandmother. I gave them to Marie because I knew she would value them and I have no idea why she would give them to you since you obviously don’t care about their value…”

Angelica Jones turns and starts to storm away in anger. Kimberly realizes that she screwed up in a big way. The Woman Scorned wants to make things right and quickly rushes off to catch up with her mother. “Mom, wait!” She eventually catches up with Angelica who has stopped next to a few packing crates. Kim places a hand on Angelica’s shoulder. “Mom, what is it?”

“You wouldn’t understand.”

“You’re right, I don’t understand.” Kim says. “But I might if you gave me a chance.” Angelica slowly turns around to face Kim. She notices the redness in her eyes, clearly showing that Angelica has been crying. Kim feels even more guilty and sighs deeply. “Look, I know a lot about my dad’s family. I know next to nothing about YOUR family. Except for you and my sisters, your family are all strangers to me.” She takes the rosary from her pocket and holds it up to Angelica’s face. “Tell me about her.”

“Your grandmother?”

“Yeah.” Kim nods her head. “Tell me about my grandmother.”

Angelica looks at the rosary beads for a few tense moments and finally a smile forms on her face. “Funny thing is, your grandmother was born and raised Russian Orthodox. Her whole family was Russian Orthodox until they fled the Soviet Union and settled in the United States. That’s when their entire identity changed. They converted to Catholicism and changed their surname from Kurinsky to Ford.”

“So she was Russian?”

“Yes, and that might have been what got her killed. The Soviet Union weren’t keen on the KGB defecting to the United States, especially if they had dangerous secrets. But it isn’t like your grandfather was much safer. He worked with the CIA and made several foreign enemies himself. But whether she was the target or just someone who got caught in the crossfire, my mother…your grandmother…was murdered and I never really got over it.” She sighs and shrugs her shoulders. “I’m sorry I went off on you like that, Kim. But it’s still tough…it’s still…”

“No need to apologize.” Kim wraps an arm around her shoulders. “Look, I say stupid shit sometimes, its one of my more endearing qualities.”

“Sure.” Angelica chuckles. “Sure it is.”

“But uh, is there anything else you can tell me?”

“About what?”

“About my grandmother, about my grandfather, about any of them?” Kim asks curiously. “Look, I’ve done the research into my dad’s family. What I found I do not like. Despite all of the love and warmth you and my sisters have shown me, I still don’t really feel like a Jones, like I truly belong. I would like to know more about your family. If you don’t mind sharing.”

“I don’t mind.” Angelica shakes her head. “It would probably be good for us both. But I think it would be best if we take a field trip.”

“I love field trips!” Kim says giddily.

“Then get packed.” Angelica winks. “We’re going to the cemetery.”

It has been two days since Breakdown and two days since Kimberly Williams had that difficult discussion with her mother about the rosary beads that once belonged to Kelly Jones, Kimberly’s deceased grandmother. Kim knew that Kelly meant a great deal to Angelica. Kim even knew that Kelly’s death had shaped who Angelica would one day become. But she had no idea of the true impact Kelly and her death had upon Angelica Jones until two days ago when she broke down and went off on Kimberly for casually dismissing the importance and value of the rosary beads. Hearing Angelica get that emotional reminded The Woman Scorned of the advice given to her a few weeks ago by Larry Dempsey; he had suggested that it might be a good idea for Kimberly to find out more about her mother’s family in an attempt to indirectly learn more about herself. It was a few years ago when Kim did digging into her father’s past and learned some disturbing information that rocked her foundations to the core. She had been reluctant up until now to do that same level of intense research and digging into her mother’s past but maybe, just maybe, it is time to find out just where she came from?

And so Angelica Jones and her daughter, Kimberly Williams, stand together in the quiet, solemn expanse of their home church, the Catholic cemetery on a cloud covered day. The sky is a muted gray, and the air carries a chill, heavy with the scent of damp earth and fallen leaves. The cemetery, part of a large Catholic Church, is sprawling, with rows of intricate stone crosses, angelic statues, and wrought iron fencing marking the plots. Towering pine and oak trees provide a canopy over much of the grounds, their branches shifting in the gentle, whispering wind. Gravel paths meander through the headstones, and freshly fallen leaves create a soft carpet beneath Angelica’s and Kimberly’s feet. They stand before a family grave plot, marked by an elegant, weathered granite monument with the family name “Jones” engraved in fine, fancy lettering. The monument is a tiered stone structure, topped with a figure of the Virgin Mary, her hands folded in eternal prayer and her face a picture of serene sorrow. Each family member’s name, etched into the stone beneath the monument, is accompanied by the years of their birth and passing, some dates stretching back a century. The top is Nicole and Alexander Kurinsky. Beneath them, Kelly and Maria Kurinsky. Angelica and Kimberly look down at the graves, their hands lightly brushing each other’s, as if drawing strength in the silence.

Angelica wears a long, tailored black coat that falls just past her knees. The coat is buttoned up, its high collar giving her an elegant yet reserved appearance. Beneath, she wears a dark burgundy dress with a simple, tasteful cut, just visible at the hem. A fine black scarf is tied neatly around her neck, and she has on dark leather gloves. Beside her, Kimberly mirrors her mother’s refined attire. She wears a knee-length charcoal-gray coat with a belted waist, cinching her figure, and a simple, somber black dress underneath. Her red hair, slightly darker than Angelica’s, cascades loosely over her shoulders, catching the occasional beam of light that slips through the clouds, adding warmth to her otherwise muted appearance. Kimberly’s eyes, softer and filled with a blend of sorrow and reverence, remain fixed on the graves, her gloveless hands clasped in front of her, fingers interwoven tightly. A small silver cross hangs from a delicate chain around her neck, catching the faintest glint of light as she bows her head in a brief moment of prayer. Around them, the cemetery remains still, the only sounds coming from the distant toll of the church’s bells marking the hour, mingling with the rustling leaves and the faint calls of birds. The setting feels timeless, as if they are enveloped in a space suspended between past and present, where generations of memories converge.

“So here it is.” Angelica says. “Here’s where you find your answers.”

“Yeah but…” Kim looks on at the gravesite, hoping that something will spark some sort of idea but nothing comes, she just looks on with disappointment and shrugs her shoulders “...I’ve been here before, mom. I’ve been here with you, with Marie, with Jess. I don’t really know what I’m looking for that I haven’t already seen.”

“That’s probably because no one has told you the whole story and, as much as I love your sisters, I’m not even sure they know the whole story and if they do, I don’t know if they could do it justice.”

“Well I do love a good story!” Kim turns and smiles with a childlike grin. “Is it storytime, mommy?”

“Sure, why not?” Angelica sighs. She points at the two names at the very top. “Nicole and Alexander Kurinsky. Those were MY grandparents. He was a Soviet agent, KGB.”

“Great.” Kim rolls her eyes. “My dad is a serial killer and my great grandfather was KGB.”

“I’m not done.” Angelica winks knowingly with a warm smile. “See, my grandfather was one of the very few KGB who suffered from a nagging crisis of conscience and that’s what led to him to eventually defecting from the Soviet Union to the United States. He took his wife, their two daughters…my mother Kelly and my aunt Maria….and they settled here in Boston. They changed their surname to Ford.”

“Nice story, mom, but there’s a couple of problems. Like, for instance, did the US government just let them stay without issue?”

“Of course not.” Angelica shakes her head. “The Cold War was under way and the US government wanted any advantage it could get. So my grandfather was in contact with the CIA frequently. In fact, that’s how my mother ended up meeting the man who would become my father, Bart Jones.”

“Wait…” Kim furrows her brow “...my grandfather worked for the CIA?”

“Yes he did.”

“No conflict of interest there.” Kim snickers. “Seriously, our family is fucked up. But uh, there is one other problem.” She motions to the family gravesite. “Where’s Bart’s name? I thought he was dead.”

“Well that’s another story…” Angelica sighs “...your grandfather twice went missing. Russian agents, we’re not sure if they were ex-KGB looking to settle a score or someone looking to target my father for his CIA involvement, we just know they were Russian, and we know they killed my mother. After her death, my father went overseas to do his own unofficial unsolicited search for the killer. I didn’t see him again for five years when he returned to the United States in time to reconcile with me and my sister and even watch our blossoming wrestling careers. But then he went missing again.”

“What happened?” Kim asks. Angelica shrugs her shoulders.

“Your guess is as good as mine. The authorities have no idea and really gave up looking for him. The case has gone cold but if what I suspect is true…that he either went back on his search for my mother’s killer or if he made an enemy who tracked him down here…then he’s likely dead.” Angelica sighs and reaches up to wipe some tears from her eyes. “I do get sad because, the thing is, me and my dad…we didn’t end on a positive note. I still resented him for leaving my sister and I to go on some quest for revenge.”

“How sure are you?”

“How sure am I?”

“Yeah…” Kim asks quietly “...how sure are you that he’s really dead?”

“I haven’t seen a body if that’s what you’re asking.” Angelica says. “Officially he’s missing. But I just know that he had made many enemies…his wife was the daughter of an ex-KGB agent so that opens up a can of worms, then there was his work with the CIA which created a lot of enemies of its own. So there are a ton of people who might want him dead.”

“But no one knows what happened?” Kim asks, seemingly pressing the issue even further, beyond what is comfortable for Angelica herself as she places both her hands on Kim’s shoulders.

“Look, I have no idea what you have planned in that head of yours, but whatever it is, you need to accept the fact, as I have, that your grandfather is gone. Just like your grandmother is gone. Just like your father is gone. The authorities have not officially closed the case but they have told me that, for all intents and purposes, he is dead.”

“Don’t worry, mom, I may be crazy but I’m not that crazy.” Kim winks. “I just want to know as much as I can about him, that’s all. I’m not going off on some weird crusade. I just want to know about my past.”

“That’s all?” Angelica asks. Kim nods her head.

“Yeah, that’s all I want.”

“Well there may be one way I can help you.” Angelica produces a small photograph and hands it to Kimberly. Kim takes a look at it and it is a picture of a man, who appears to be in his late thirties or early forties. Kim looks up at Angelica and smiles knowingly.

“Is this…?” Her voice trails off. Angelica nods her head.

“Yes, that’s Bart. That’s my father. You have his eyes.”

“Maybe…”

“That was a younger photo of him. I don’t have any pictures of him from when he was older. But for whatever you have planned, hopefully that will help.”

“Yeah…” Kim says with a knowing smirk on her face “...I think it will.”

“Just promise you won’t get yourself into trouble.” Angelica says. “You have too much going for you right now. You have a great career as a wrestler, you have an Underground Title Match at Under Attack. Do not threaten it all by getting yourself into any needless trouble.”

“Now why would you think I would get into trouble?”

“Because you are my daughter and I know you.”

“That’s fair.” Kim nods her head. “But I promise that I will be good!”

“That’s all I needed to hear.”

In a little under a week Kimberly Williams will attempt to make history; for her part, history will be made as she will compete in her first ever chamber match. She also hopes to make history by becoming the first ever six time Underground Champion. The SCW Underground Championship, its history and the prestige Kimberly built into it, the hard work she put into it, all of it means so much to The Woman Scorned. She is not ready to walk away from her Underground Division, not just yet and not without a fight. And fight is exactly what will get inside the chamber against five equally ruthless competitors all looking to walk away with that same prize. But Kimberly feels as if she has one big advantage on her side; namely, chaos. The Woman Scorned has a history of winning big time chaotic matches. She won the Underground Title in her massive Trios Cash In and in a five way Underground Title Match a few years ago. She became number one contender to the SCW World Title in Ducky Kinnick’s Trios Cash In. Kim tends to be at her very best in chaotic environments and despite not having any real experience in a chamber match, Kimberly knows that chamber matches are, at their core, chaos. Kimberly is banking on her chaotic edge to give her an advantage at Under Attack and, hopefully, propel her to a record sixth Underground Title win.

Kimberly’s mother, Angelica Jones, of course has her concerns. Angelica has been in her fair share of chamber matches, she knows what they are like, and she is worried that her daughter is being a little dismissive of the danger. But despite them being mother and daughter, Kim has never felt truly connected to Angelica. In fact, Kimberly doesn’t truly feel connected to the Jones family at all despite everything they have done for her, despite everything they have done to accept her. And with that in mind, there is one stop Kimberly wants to make before making the trek to Detroit, Michigan for Under Attack. Kimberly feels as if she needs to talk to someone close to her, someone who, out of everyone else in her life, might be one of the few who might understand her.

The Woman Scorned is seated in the drab, cold visiting room of Bay State Correctional Center, fidgeting slightly as she waits for her uncle. Her uncle, Douglas Williams, was convicted of a string of murders decades ago. Many suspected that Kim’s father, the late Sean Williams, was also involved but Douglas took the rap for all of the murders and thus Sean potentially got away with murder. The room is a mix of industrial blandness and uncomfortable sterility: scuffed white linoleum floors, walls painted in a dull beige, and fluorescent lights casting a harsh, unforgiving glow that amplifies the faded grays and off-whites of the worn-down furniture. The air smells faintly of antiseptic mixed with the lingering scent of cafeteria food, a combination that adds to the sense of isolation.

Kimberly, true to her eccentric personality, stands out sharply against this muted backdrop. Kim’s striking red hair; a cascade of loose waves that catches the light, dyed a vibrant copper with hints of fiery orange. The ends are slightly unkempt, a mix of deliberate style and natural frizz, as if she couldn’t be bothered to fully tame it. She’s dressed in a bold, forest-green vintage coat, its oversized lapels and brass buttons giving it an almost theatrical flair. Beneath the coat, she wears a patterned blouse with wild paisley swirls of burnt orange, navy, and purple, paired with high-waisted, deep plum-colored trousers that brush the tops of her brown leather ankle boots. She has a few rings on her fingers; chunky silver bands and one with a large turquoise stone, and a pair of dangly, mismatched earrings that jangle slightly whenever she shifts. Her nails are painted a chipped dark red, a color that stands out against her fair skin. Her expression is a mixture of curiosity and defiance, as though she’s not quite intimidated by the sterile prison environment and might even be enjoying the slight discomfort it causes the guards, who glance at her curiously every so often. Kimberly drums her fingers on the plastic tabletop, eyeing the clock on the wall and crossing one leg over the other, exuding a sense of impatience and restlessness.

Finally, her uncle, Douglas Williams, is brought into the room. He’s a man in his late sixties with graying hair cut close to his head, deep-set eyes, and a weary expression. He’s wearing the standard prison-issued uniform: a light blue, short-sleeved shirt with a stiff collar, paired with loose, navy blue pants. His hands are cuffed, and his shoes are simple, slip-on sneakers that have clearly seen better days. Despite his reserved demeanor, his eyes light up slightly when he sees Kimberly, a hint of warmth breaking through his otherwise stony face. The two guards accompanying him are silent and stiff, their navy uniforms and belts equipped with various tools of the trade, contrasting with Douglas’s muted attire. As Douglas sits across from Kimberly, the two exchange a quiet but familiar nod. There’s a charged silence as they size each other up; her, with her brazen individuality, and him, subdued and constrained. The room’s quiet buzz of fluorescent lights, the occasional shuffle of guards, and the distant hum of the facility create an uncomfortable, stifling atmosphere that seems to emphasize the walls between them, both literal and emotional.

“Hi Uncle Dougy!” Kim exclaims, waving happily. Douglas, despite his own hardened emotional state, cannot help but chuckle a little at the appearance of his niece.

“Well isn’t this a surprise?”

“A surprise?” Kim scoffs. “Nah! I just love keeping up with the fam!”

“We haven’t had much time to bond that well, Kimberly, but even I know better than that.” Douglas points out. “It has been a year or two since you last visited and back then it was because you needed something.” Douglas grows a little more harsh in his tone. “So…what do you need from me?”

“Ok, you got me.” Kim sighs. “Honestly I was hoping maybe you could find me a spare prison cell?”

“What?!” Douglas asks, sounding astonished. Kim just nods her head.

“Seriously. I have this funny little thing called a chamber match coming up and my mom is super worked up over the fact that I have never been in a chamber match. So I was thinking of getting some experience by getting myself locked up in one of these bad boys!”

“I know full well about your chamber match.” Douglas says. “We do get television here and…” he forces a smile on his face “...I am very proud of the hell you’ve been raising.”

“Why thank you!”

“But you know as well as I do, Kim, that I can’t help. Besides, I think you have plenty of experience with being locked up.”

“This is true.” Kim nods her head. “But to be fair, I was locked up for being a lunatic…”

“And I’m locked up for murder.” He points at Kim. “You? You’re going to be ‘locked up’ in a chamber at Under Attack. Different concepts entirely, don’t ya think?”

“Yeah, I suppose you’re right.”

“I know I’m right.” Douglas smirks. “Now like I said, I appreciate the visits. A guy like me don’t get many visitors nowadays. But still, I get the feeling you just want something from me. So let’s not waste either of our time. What do ya need, Kimberly?”

“Can’t I just wanna spend time with my favoritist uncle of all time?” Kim says with a cheesy grin on her face. Douglas sighs and shakes his head.

“Yes, you could but you wouldn’t. If that’s what you cared about you would have visited me more often.”

“You’re breaking my heart Uncy!” Kim feigns sadness. Her uncle Douglas just shakes his head.

“I’m not buying it, Kim. You can pretend to care about family but let’s face it, you don’t care about family as much as you want people to think.”

Kimberly leans back in her chair and sighs. Some of Douglas’s words sting because, quite frankly, they are true. Kimberly wanted to connect more with her family. She wanted to make family a strong part of her life, just in the same way her maternal family has preached the importance of family. But she has found it increasingly difficult to embrace her paternal family. Her aunt Catherine Williams has completely rejected everyone in the family and her uncle Douglas Willliams is locked up in a prison. Yet Kim feels closer to them than the Jones family. It really is strange.

“Fine…I apologize for not visiting you enough.” Kim arches her brow. “Feel better?”

“Sure.” Douglas smirks.

“But I have grown a bit since our last visit, Uncle Douglas. I am not the same person I was back then. And you’re right, if family is going to play an important role in my life then I need to do more than just talk the talk. So you can expect more visits from me in the future.”

“That’s good.” Douglas nods his head. “But you never did answer the question?”

“42!”

“That’s not the answer…”

I thought the question was six times seven?”

“That’s not the question.”

“Seven times six?” Kim shakes her head. “No, that question makes no sense. Six times seven makes much more sense!”

“Kim!”

“What?”

“What are you doing here?”

“Oh, right…” Kim sighs then she furrows her brow in confusion “...I don’t know.”

“Oh my Kimberly, my niece,” Douglas shakes his head “have you really changed or is this all just an act? You seem like the same crazy, unhinged young lady I met years ago.”

“I’m definitely crazy, maybe unhinged, but I HAVE changed!” Kim insists.

“Is that so?” Douglas presses her. He leans forward. He touches his forehead. “Do you hear the voices?”

“Voices?”

“The voices in my head. The voices that your father heard. The ones that told us to commit those unspeakable acts. Do you hear those same voices and this crazed girl act, is that just a facade to hide the monster hidden underneath?” Douglas leans back and waits for a response. Kim stares him down. Her own face growing stoic.

“Those ‘voices’ have never been there in my head.” She says defiantly. “You may have had that problem, my father may have had that problem, but I never had that problem.”

“Are you sure?”

“I am sure.”

“Good. Then maybe you have changed.” Douglas smiles.

“Look, I can act a bit crazy, I can act a bit immature at times, so if you think I’m wasting your time, I apologize. But honestly, I do have a reason for stopping by. See, I know where I fit into the Williams family. And hell, I feel good about my chances to change the public image and reputation of the Williams family name. That’s why I kept my father’s name, YOUR name, instead of becoming a Jones.”

“I often wondered why you didn’t just become Kimberly Jones.” Douglas nods his head. “Your mother and sister have quite a list of accolades and achievements. Becoming Kimberly Jones would have made more sense.”

“Yeah, well, honoring dad wasn’t the only reason I kept the Williams name.” Kimberly states. “Honestly, I just don’t feel the same connection to the Jones family. I do not see where I fit in.”

“And you want my advice?” Douglas asks, looking somewhat surprised.

“Uh…maybe?”

“You never cease to surprise me, Kimberly.” Douglas shakes his head. “But, to be perfectly honest, I think you already know what to do.”

“Oh really?”

“Of course you do.” He nods his head insistently. “You are one of the best researchers I know. Your Aunt Catherine moved to Alaska, changed her name, and was living off the grid, and you managed to track her down. You also found me with relative ease. You did both all in the name of learning more about where you fit into the Williams family. What’s stopping you from doing the same thing with your mother’s family?”

“Well…” Kim’s voice trails off.

“Besides, it should be easier. Most of your mother’s family are very much alive and in the limelight. The answers should be easier to track down.”

“You sound like my mother.” Kim frowns.

“Is that what she suggested?”

“More or less.” Kim sighs. “She even gave me something to work with.” She reaches into her pocket and produces the picture of Bart Jones. She shows it to Douglas. “That is my grandfather, Bart Jones.”

“She must think your answers lie with him. Where is he today?”

“No one knows.” Kim shrugs her shoulders. “He went missing a long time ago. Authorities have all but given up hope and think he’s dead. So it isn’t going to be as easy as tracking him down and asking him questions.”

“No but it is a start.” Douglas smiles. “And as relentless as you are, all you need is a starting point. That’s all you need. You need an opportunity. Just like Under Attack. A chamber match against five other people may not be ideal but it is an opportunity and that is all you need.”

The cameras begin to roll outside in Detroit, Michigan. We find the lovely and fierce figure of the unhinged, eccentric Kimberly Williams. She wore a simple black T-shirt with the Queens of Chaos logo on the front, fitted just enough to show her slender frame and hint at her strength. The shirt’s soft, slightly worn cotton gave a casual vibe but emphasized the confidence she carried in every step. Her denim jeans, a dark indigo shade with subtle fading at the knees, hugged her legs with a relaxed fit. The jeans looked well-loved, with slight wear around the pockets and hems, suggesting they’d seen both adventure and the daily grind. She wore black boots, polished yet rugged, with a small heel that clicked softly with each step. The boots reached just above her ankles, laced tight, with scuffs around the toes hinting at rougher roads traveled.

“You know, Kimmymaniacs, they say that there is a first time for everything and you know what? This is the first time yours truly has been in a chamber match!” Kimberly shrugs her shoulders. “Who would have thought it, am I right? The Queen of the Death Match, with all of the insane, crazy, violent matches she’s been in, and yet she’s never once been in a chamber match. It’s enough to make one talk in third person. Or drive them crazy, one of the two. But I enjoy new experiences, especially new violent experiences. I love being introduced to new violent experiences. Am I right, Davey Boy Striker?” Kimberly winks at the camera. “So the fact that this chamber match is a new experience for me does not bother me one bit. You would probably have to be normal to let something that like that bother you and one thing I am not is normal. Hell, I am looking forward to experiencing this new version of violence and chaos. I am looking forward to seeing what kind of havoc I can wreak upon my fellow competitors inside of the chamber. This match at Under Attack excites me.”

“Still, while I may not be normal and while I am definitely Crazy Kim, one thing I am NOT is disconnected from reality.” Kim pauses for a moment and then shrugs her shoulders. “Ok, so maybe I am a little disconnected from reality, but I am not so disconnected that I am unable to see what I am up against. I had a chance at Rise To Greatness to regain the Underground Title but I couldn’t get the job done. I am getting another opportunity to regain the Underground Title here at Under Attack. What happens if I once again fail? Fact is, I may not get many more opportunities at the Underground Title if I fail this time. So let me make this perfectly and abundantly clear.”

“This time is a must win scenario for yours truly. I will not take a step back and watch as others fight over MY prize! I will not watch while others stand atop MY division! I absolutely refuse to sit idly by and be second best, third best, or fourth best in the division that I built up! The Underground Division is the division that Kimberly Williams built, god damn it! I might be tied with Rachel Foxx for most Underground Title wins right now but let’s make no mistake about it, I have done more for this division than her or anyone else and I will sacrifice my blood, my body, and hell, maybe even my fucking career to regain that championship and claim sole possession of that record.”

“But my point still stands, I have done a hell of a lot more for the Underground than anyone else in the company’s history. And no offense to anyone else in this match, I have done more for the Underground than any of them too. Davey Boy Striker, I love ya buddy, and you definitely carry the Underground banner with pride, but at the end of the day that Underground Title belongs to me. I beat ya twice, I’ll beat you a third time if I have to in order to reclaim it. And if you cannot keep your eyes on the prize, if you cannot keep focused on what is really important, then you really have just beaten yourself.”

“Which brings me to another person who might not be focused on the task at hand and, ironically enough, another person I have already beaten. Veronica Strader, you and my pal Davey Boy, I don’t know what it is with you two. I really don’t know what you two want more…to win the title or to destroy each other. Now I am not one to pass judgment on being obsessed. I have my own obsession but my obsession is with being the Underground Champion. So I won’t judge you for being obsessed with wanting Davey Boy’s head on a platter. But like I told Davey, that’s gonna bite you in the ass at Under Attack. But I will give credit where it is due; you are right about one thing…I am consistently inconsistent. You never know what you are going to get from the Queen of the Death Match. That’s why I am going to win back my title at Under Attack. Chaos rules inside the chamber and chaos is my middle fucking name.”

“Colleen…” Kimberly snickers “...y’know what? I am going to give you some credit too. Hell, you have definitely stepped out onto your own and done so in surprisingly great fashion. Your days of being simply Polly’s sidekick are almost forgotten. You have a bright future ahead of you Colleen. The fact that you managed to snare a spot inside this chamber, a title match no less, that speaks volumes for what you have accomplished on your own. You went from being merely a sidekick, to letting yourself get pinned by Hudson in my Trios Cash In, to now you have a chance to really make a name for yourself. I applaud that.” Kimberly claps and her applause appears to be sincere.

“But make no mistake about it, you are in over your head. I can’t say whether or not Davey Boy will take it easy on you inside that chamber. I’ve thrown down with him three times in the Underground. Part of me says if push comes to shove that he won’t take it easy on you. Then again, he might take it easy on you. But everyone else in this chamber match? No, we won’t. I definitely won’t take it easy on anyone who stands in my way of reclaiming what is rightfully mine. And in this match, Colleen, you are one of five people who are standing in my way of becoming Underground Champion. You are in the match of your career but you are in over your head. The question isn’t will you win…the question is will you survive?”

“The biggest letdown of this match is Billy Heaven.” Kimberly lets out a big yawn. “Sorry, Kimmymaniacs, even mentioning these Fall of Man buffoons makes me sleepy. And out of all of them, Billy here might be the stupidest of the bunch. You won a Trios Contract, Junior, do you know what that means? It means you have the power. You have the control. You can do whatever you want whenever you want and no one can do anything about it. Look at the chaos I created with my Trios Contract! Look at the chaos Ace Marshall created with his Trios Cash Ins! But you? You’re gonna let you dumbass dad and those other hick losers in that inbred group of boring asswipes tell you what to do with YOUR Trios Contract?”

“Yeah, Junior, you really are the stupidest one of the group but you know what else you are? You are a pushover. You are also not ready for the chamber and you are definitely not ready and definitely suited for the Underground. You are only in this match because daddy asked for it. I can make a case for how each and every other competitor EARNED their opportunity in this chamber but you? You didn’t earn this opportunity. This opportunity was handed to you and that fact will be made plainly obvious when you are destroyed and dismantled inside the chamber at Under Attack.”

“Last and certainly not least there’s the little princess herself YUSA…” Kim again claps but this time there is a hint of sarcasm in the applause “...congratulations on beating that run down hypocritical hick Leroy. Going from an inbred hick with zero respect for the Underground as the Underground Champion to having the Underground represented by a fake sun princess isn’t much of an improvement but it is definitely an improvement. But let me ask you this, Princess; have you even defended that title of yours since winning it?” Williams shakes her head. “Nope. Not even once. This chamber match against yours truly, Davey Boy, Cowgirl, Willy, and Colleen, this is your FIRST defense.” Kimberly smirks.

“Talk about being thrown right into the deep end! Its almost like you have tried to avoid the inevitable for so long. Perhaps you should have went after the Adrenaline Title instead? Sure, you would have had a tense situation with your fellow princess but hey, at least you would not have had to deal with the barbarity, the violence of the Underground. If you want to know about the kind of barbarity you can expect, just ask YUYO. She knows all too well what I am capable of. She tried me and I sent her packing. You aren’t the first princess I have dealt with. You’re just the one who happens to have the one thing I value more than anything in this business. You have my property. You have the Underground Championship and I am prepared to maim my friends in order to reclaim that championship.”

“Now that brings us to the chamber…Detroit…the Underground Championship is on the line. Some are new to the Underground, some are well acquainted with it. But me? I built this god damn Underground and I will not just sit back as a silent observer. I will continue to rule this Underground…or I will be nothing…I will be champion again…or I will be gone. That’s a damn promise.”
