{The events of this CD take place AFTER the events in the Blake Mason vs Cassidy Carter rp from Bound By Blood: http://www.supremecw.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=428

Plus weeks after what you’ll read in the Kandis CD <which happens first. Blake’s CD happens second.>}

Drake sits on the wooden floor of his cabin deep in the woods. With his eyes closed, he is unaware of the door opening in the midst of his deep meditation. Walking in is none other then Loretta Inglewood, his wife. He is unable to pick up on her walking ever so slowly to him. Disturbing his meditation is an act she rarely if ever does. As she sits down across from him, she taps him on the leg, this alerts him to her presence. “Hello, Loretta.”

Unknowingly to him, Loretta smiles. She places the back of her hand on his cheek, this causes his eyes to open. The warmth of her smile brings levity to his seriousness. She breaks her silence by saying, “Hey.”

Loretta’s smile fades. Picking up on this, Drake immediately ask, “What’s wrong?”

Loretta sighs. “Everything.”

“They can’t stop us!” Drake insist.

“This isn’t about EMERGE. In time we will purify the vermin. I have a confession to make--” Loretta bows her head in shame. “I’ve... failed you.”

Drake cups Loretta’s chin. “Don’t be ridiculous. You saved me, Loretta. I am in your debt, now and forever.”

“According to your brother, it doesn’t work that way.”

“Blake? What does he have to do with--” Drake hesitates before asking what immediately comes to mind. “Did you sleep with him? I warned him you are off-”

Quickly cutting him off, Loretta insist. “No. Of course not. We both agree that would complicate everything.”

Drake raises his eyebrow. “So he desires you?”

“He won’t betray your trust, neither will I.  In a moment of weakness, I sought out his consuel. Not with the intention to share his bed. I asked him to talk to his lawyer about drawing up divorce papers.”

Drake tilts his head to the side, curious for Loretta to explain herself. The last thing he expected to hear was Loretta’s desire to seek a divorce. He wanted to ask why, Loretta, sensing he was going to ask her, decides to fill in the blanks.

“We have a problem, one I tried to warn you about for months. Your friend... all but confirmed my suspicions. I am tired of the games! I have never approved of your... friendship. Showing mercy to her in the Gauntlet match was the final straw. For you, I tolerated her existence. Her being your tag team partner last Emerge, I wanted to test how honest she would be. Surprisingly, she was. She flat out admitted she wants you.”

Not quite able to process the truth bomb dropped on him, all Drake can say is, “Wants... me?”

Loretta scowls; “I tried warning you, didn’t I?” she sighs.

Drake spends a moment to collect his thoughts. The one talent his brother has that he doesn’t is picking up on when a woman is into him. He can’t believe the entire time he has known Kandis he didn’t pick up on her infatuation. The best he can do is offer a nod. “Yes.”

“When you proposed; I hoped she would back off. Marriage is sacred. Oh no,
commitment doesn’t matter to a woman of her loose morals. This is the very reason why Outsiders can’t be trusted. She’ll never conform to our ways. Her viewpoint of life can’t be tolerated. No matter how many favors she does for you--”

Loretta points to Drake. “-- she will always be unkempt; impure, and an overall bad influence. But... your brother put it in perspective. You are a grown man, I can’t stop you from crossing that line. The reason I  went to your brother was to ask him to draw up papers. I didn’t want to chance that serpent conning you into biting the forbidden fruit. She doesn’t respect me. She doesn’t respect our union. Your brother did propose I... entice you. He suggested that we...” Loretta hesitates as if embarrassed to say the word. “--fornincate.”

“Stop!” Drake says forcibly. “Allow me a moment to process what I was told.”

Loretta stands up. Nodding she says, “Ok. I’ll be outside.”

Drake doesn’t peel his eyes off Loretta as she walks out the door. He closes his eyes. What he wanted to do was focus on the purity movement. Capital Shake Up could be the signature night of him and Loretta’s time in Emerge. Dante and the other Druids were ready to make waves. He never expected to deal with a scenario he has known his brother to get into a thousand times before. Did this make him a true Mason now, he silently wondered. About ten minutes pass, he opens his eyes. He pulls himself off the floor, walking out the cabin he joins Loretta outside. She doesn’t notice he’s there. He places one hand on her shoulder. She turns around.
“Are you mad at me?” Loretta ask with a hint of worry in her voice.

Drake puts Loretta’s worries to bed by shaking his head. “No; I’m not.”

Loretta breathes a sigh of relief. “Good.”

“Forgive me for doubting you?”

“It’s fine.” Loretta smiles to ease the tension. “You wanted to give The Outsider the benefit of the doubt. Wasn’t your fault she was not direct about her intentions. The ways of the succubus are many, that’s why you have me. I can see through the lies.”

Drake sighs. “Can’t deny she has been an ally to me.”

“Not OUR cause.” Loretta staunchly says. “Actions speak louder. This is the same woman who didn’t give a care to save Jason from being attacked by Serotonin. Did she prevent Mika from piledriving Peyton? Jason’s friend, one she shared a kinship with? The day you rebuke her advances she will try to suck the soul from another. I agree she has been supportive... of you. There is a limit. That’s my concern, always has been. She hasn’t lied about the person she is. Don’t let her kindness blind you to the evidence.”

Drake firmly commands. “Be honest.”

“I have been nothing but honest about that harlot, Kandis.”

“Is it your desire to fornicate with me as well?”

Drake’s directness throws Loretta off guard. Composing herself, she answers, “That’s not important.”

Drake firmly states. “It is to me.”

“We shouldn’t be--”

Resting his hand on her cheek, Drake is even more firm. “Answer me!”

Loretta hesitates before admitting... “Yes.” Loretta bites her lower lip. “Yes, I do. I confess. Can we move on to more important thi---”

Drake has heard enough. He places his finger on Loretta’s mouth to stop her from talking. “My brother was right about one thing.” He leans in to kiss her on the lips. “We’re human.”

Loretta’s eyes widen. A tear is steaming down her face. “You do, too?”

Drake nods. “I confess.”

Drake leans in again, before he can give her another kiss, Loretta stops him. “No. Not like this.”

“But Loretta--”

“I said, NO!.” Loretta grabs Drake’s hand. “It is not for a lack of desire. Kandis is still in the picture. She won’t stop her pursuit.”

“I don’t want her. I want you.”

“That’s sweet of you to say.” Loretta smiles. “Until I know for one thousand percent certain there is no chance you’ll cross that threshold; I can’t afford to hand you what I have never given any man. My heart.” She points to her heart. “That woman doesn’t care about our marriage or our union. Her very values spit in the face of our movement. I believe you want me. I doubt that deters, Kandis.”

“I’ll settle it.”

Loretta kisses him on the cheek. “Thank you.”

“If I had known she upset you this much..”

Loretta places her finger on his lips. With conviction she declares, “Capital Shake Up is our only focus. Understood?”

Appreciating the directness of Loretta, Drake nods. “Of course.”

He watches as Loretta walks back into the cabin. He follows her inside. He closes the door behind him.

<Promo Time>

“Gavin Taylor believes he can stop me...”

“Your RUSH Champion proved himself a coward weeks ago. He hid in the comfort of his own home like the snake that he is. He had his thugs wait until AFTER I had a long, grueling match against the Emerge Champion and her friend to soften me up in the event Capital Shake Up bestows me the honor of taking back what was rightfully stolen from my clutches. I know how your minds work. You’ll accuse me of the same. Need I remind you, I was up front about bringing one of my druids to ringside. I stayed true to my word. No sneak attacks. No waiting until Gavin was vulnerable. Mr. Taylor knew what he was getting into. Did I know what I was getting into? Was I aware Mr. Taylor was going to send his... I can’t bare the uttere the ridiculous name of his entourage. IF Gavin believes his... entourage was enough to deter me from completing the mission I set out to, they, like everyone else, is dead wrong.”

“Unlike the rest of you in EMERGE, I have a responsibility. I have loyal followers who count on me for their guidance. The Druids are indebted to me and Loretta’s cause; only I can give them what they desire most in this world. I plan to deliver. Week in and week out I roam the world. A flock of men  and women ask me daily, how can I bask in the afterglow of purity. They plead with me to save them from the vices of this world.”

“Vices such as vanity, the desperate need for attention.”

“Lust. An uncontrollable need to feed the flesh.”

“Gluttony. An overwhelming desire to take more than what you need, depriving others of valuable resources.”

“Wrath. Unspeakable, unjust rage that harms the very fabric of the soul.”

“My people wish to be freed of the vices they feed into. All I see, every Emerge, every Invasion, is more and more souls being corrupted. What is far worse then this is the main roster, the man who claims to run this company has allowed his navie kin to allow a devil and a self named Syren to institute their bias agenda. My brother was effected. How can I stand idly by? How can I not act? It is unlikely the vermin child of the owner will allow anyone related to my brother safe haven, so, I will do what I must here. Focus on the task at hand. That is to cleanse whoever fate has chosen.”

“Obviously, my Druids are safe from absolution. They are devoted one hundred percent. They serve my will, not their own. I don’t know if fate will choose me to challenge Jennifer Helms for the Spirit Championship. I’ll compete, as always. Jennifer Helms is not a target. If need be, she is under my protection. Why? Lets just say a favor was asked of me. We’ll leave it at that. Willow is not a woman who needs my protection. Any friend of Jennifer will be granted clemency. The rest will not be granted the same.”

Distractions are many. I have one responsibility at Capital Shake Up. Nothing will deter me from it. Never again. Ending the year strong is of the utmost importance. This is my mission. My mission shall be carried out. Whether I am forced to tag with an Outsider or the hands of fate opt to claim Peyton Rice, by the end of Capital Shake Up, the world will be talking. Purity will reign. In Jesus name I pray... a-men.”
