ENTRANCE:

The house lights begin to shut off section by section as if a rolling power failure has struck the building. The sound of each section almost seems amplified through the speakers until the last bank of lights above the stage shut off and the room goes into silence. The big screen flickers slightly before a flashing icon from an old retro computer appears as words start to appear across the screen as if being typed.

The screens go blank once more but as they do, a voice with a thick Austrian accent blasts out through the speaker system.

"HASTA LA VISTA... BABY!"

As the voice fades, the pounding bass line of "You Could Be Mine" by Guns N Roses begins to reverberate through the speakers and as the first chord hits on the guitar, explosions erupt from either side of the stage and the curtains part, Arnold Braunschweiger stepping out onto the stage, a cigar held tightly between his teeth. Arnold removes his mirrored sunglasses and smiles at the crowd, that cigar still clamped between his teeth as he turns towards the ramp and begins making his way down to the ring.

Phillips: "From Vienna in Austria but fighting out of Las Vegas, Nevada; he weighed in this evening at three hundred and six pounds and stands at an impressive six feet seven inches. He is the "Austrian Death Machine" ARNOLD BRAUNSCHWEIGER!"

Arnold stops at the bottom of the ramp and steps over to the fans at the barrier, sliding his sunglasses onto the face of one of the younger fans on the front row before stepping over to the apron and reaching up to grab the top rope to pull himself up. Stepping over to the ropes, Arnold walks right over to the referee and offers him his hand and as the referee shakes it he pats the referee on the shoulder, almost causing his knees to buckle underneath him. Still holding the referees hand, Arnold pauses to give the fans a photo opportunity like the former trained Hollywood star he is, before finally letting go of the officials hand and walking over to his corner to await the start of the match.

BIOGRAPHY:

Arnold was born in a small town just outside of Vienna in Austria, his mother a farm hand and his father a member of the local fire brigade. Arnold's father much preferred his older son and so Arnold was ignored for the most part, but he had a close relationship with his mother right up until her death in the mid eighties. Throughout his school years, Arnold never moved above being a middle of the road student, but he made up for his lack of brains with charm and wit and was widely respected by all of his teachers.

Arnold moved to America in his early twenties to continue a career in elite fitness, his strength and physical prowess unparalleled by anyone. His fitness career was cut short however when Arnold was offered a part in a small movie, and from there his career truly began. Before he turned thirty, Arnold became a major player in Hollywood, starting in dozens of big budget blockbusters, becoming a major star in the movie world... but recently, Arnold has become disenchanted with the world of 'hollywood showbusiness' and rather than making the move into politics like his advisors suggested, he chose to pursue a slightly strange career venture. Unlike a lot of professional wrestlers who choose to move into the motion picture business once their wrestling career is over, Arnold made the move in reverse and moved away from a 15+ year career in Hollywood to become a professional wrestler, and while many will judge Arnold to be over the hill or past his prime, Arnold has a new enthusiasm to prove people wrong!
