Who are Doom and Groove? That was the question asked by SCW officials when they reviewed their bid to enter the World’s Best tournament in Spring 2020. Lyza Reyes has been seen before, appearing briefly in the 2019 God of Wrestling tournament. But now she came with reinforcements, having recruited Devin Brando to team with her. Both had gained a reputation independently around the world as top stars, but they hadn’t yet conquered the World’s premier promotion, SCW.

At first, they were seen as a wild card, an odd couple that most wrote off. And at first, they struggled, their personality clashed, but they managed to work out the kinks. By the end of the tournament, they were the last team standing. No one could bridle the star power these two outsiders commanded in the ring. So it was just a matter of time SCW inked the team to contracts.

Finally, in December of that year, it was announced that Doom and Grove were coming to SCW programming. They successfully debuted against the team of Jay Gold and Kelsai Adamson-Mason, one a Hall of Fame wrestler and the other who has experienced success in the past. While the tag division was embroiled in the Tag League, Doom and Groove started to carve their way, knocking on the door to the promised land. Even though they failed in their latest challenge to the current reigning SCW World Champions, Suited and Booted, they proved that they’re a legitimate threat to the competition and it’s only a matter of time, they’d get a second chance… and they know how to make the most out of those. And as by the noise on Twitter, the competition knows it.

These two outsiders are seen as a threat to the status quo. It might be all Doom and Groove here on out.
