{EZRA: Chapter Four}
Supreme Championship Wrestling, as an organization, has been a place of many different facades. I hoped to be the face of one of its new ones, as I've said from the get-go, and initially, I did turn some heads. I, initially got people looking my way. But recently I feel into that lull, where many fall, where personal, professional, and creative, life, all seem to come to an intersection together, causing congestion, and nobody knows whose job it is to "lead" the traffic going forward.
I mean, hell... I had hype... I had it all... But recently I've just been a microchosm of what I professed myself to be, and it forced me to become the ultimate "traffic cop" in my own life. I mean, let's be real, every time I turned around, someone was beefing with me about SOMETHING, and trust was a factor. Nobody trusted anyone. Nobody believed in the "bigger picture," that, along with Jake Starr, I initially saw. And it became a redundant philosophy for everyone. We all fought. We fought over the same issues. We couldn't agree to put the past behind us, and for once, trust ME. And more importantly... I couldn't put the past behind them, and trust them either...
Then along came The Enigma... A completely metaphorical being, whose whole idea was to be different. And it reminded me, differences, they don't cause the idea of a rift. Differences, they are what bring better ideas along. And I began to explore that on my own with allowing Pro into my world, allowing Hailey to vent her frustrations about being allowed to simply have a relationship, and also allowing Jake Starr to have this belief and desire that he wanted to make something bigger than himself. I had to quit thinking about the simplicity of a situation, and instead, broaden my horizons, and realize that things I didn't understand, didn't comprehend, and didn't necessarily "like" weren't "bad." Instead those moments created OPPORTUNITIES for me. They created the chance for me to build on what I said I wanted, and not be so brazen, and honestly stupid, about how I went about it.
That's when I began to understand what the dismantling of The Enigma meant to ME, MY GOALS, AND MY FUTURE... Because "killing" an "idea" that SCW was becoming fearful of meant I needed to address the reality of what goes on with me OUTSIDE of the ring as well...
And right now... That's Ducky...
Her Alter I respect, wholeheartedly. I give them the freedom to be themselves. But the emergence of Ducky on that farm has done something I didn't expect, because I did expect the same from the rest of those around me. They are concerned. They were not prepared for the "energy" Ducky brings, and to be honest, nor was I, but having done my research, it wasn't surprising.
For Jake, however, it was concerning.
For me, it was part of the alter...
Jake was constantly one to pat Ducky on the head, and mock her, never seeing what went on behind closed doors. I, however, knew Pro, someone who had a mentality of distrust and protection, which is the world I grew up in. This moment, it represents something, to me. It represents an understand and a moment where Jake Starr, the wrestler, who fought "Ducky" in all forms of her unpredictability, gets to realize that there is more to the person as a whole. For me, it gives me a chance to realize the same unpredictability, when Ducky, herself, comes forward, and needs to be ACCEPTED by my family in a way that Pro may not. And I have to be that medium. I have to accept that human being and her Alter for who they are on all counts, to ensure they realize I'm not using them, or insulting them. And it's time others begin to realize that this situation is, not just a reality, but OK, and one they have to fight beside, if OUR future and goals are going to succeed...
Hailey Brooks: ... The fact is simple... This is a major change from what we all, kind of, came to an agreement to...
Jake Starr: ... Eh I'm sure she's... Fine?
Hailey Brooks: Fine? That bullshit response tells me you have no clue...
Kirsten Scott: Ok can I be someone that you two actually listen to for once?
Kirsten Scott: ... This isn't something we can understand on the surface. For fuck's sake, nonw of us know ourselves that well. This is an Alter. This is a mindset that has several personalities that serve PURPOSES! This is a serious thing in the world of mental health and deserves fucking respect. Do I understand it? No. Why? Because I'm not there... None of us are... Do I worry it could somehow bite us in the ass, of course, but that's where RESPECT steps up...
Hailey Brooks: But not believing it could bite us, shouldn't we be worried? Shouldn't we protect ourselves?
Kirsten Scott: Against what? A duck triggered Ducky, and she was happy. It wasn't some horrific event. We don't UNDERSTAND, and just because none of us do, why fear it? I didn't understand Jake appearing... I didn't understand you making me train with you at The Compound... So why pretend that we understand everything someone is experiecing, unless it hurts us?
She adopted a fucking duck!
Why are we worried?
Jake Starr: Because she's unpredictable?
Kirsten Scott: Isn't that what we want?
Jake Starr: Ok you win there...
Kirsten Scott: The fact is, we have nitpicked this bullshit for too long. Pro, Ducky, whatever you want to refer to her as, is a person who we trust. And I'm tired of the drama, OK?! I trust Pro. Ducky is a wildcard, yes, but we do not, nor WILL NOT, ever try and control it. Hell, Hailey you took how long to just trust in Pro even before Ducky came alone, and you did, and now, you're magically questioning it? Stop...
Jake Starr: Ducky is just a tad diffrent breed, if I do say so my self...
Kirsten Scott: Then why don't we let everything run its course? Alters aren't our specialty. But we HAVE to respect them.
Hailey Brooks: So how do we swap Pro for Ducky?
Kirsten Scott: ... Not how an Alter works, Hailey. Alters work on a level of protection and responsibility. WE have to respect that. Pro will show up when she knows she is needed and warranted. Ducky showed up because of when she was and that Alter needed, for lack of a better term, time away from the seriousness of life. We have to allow it. We aren't raising a duck. We aren't responsible for a duck. Ducky is.
Jake Starr: So, you're telling me Ducky and Pro are not just two batshit, crazy, aspects of the same person?
Kirsten Scott: They're not... Period... And I respect it. And it's time we do so as a whole. An Alter isn't one person thinking they are multiple. It, yes, may be one mind, but they all have their roles and protections of the group to ensure safety. And I'm not going to be someone who insults it.
Jake Starr: Sooooo... She's not just batshit crazy?
Kirsten Scott: No... She's not... Nicole isn't not "crazy," by any standards, and we have to respect it as a whole. Like I said, an alter protects itself. Everyone has a "role." Just like we do. We each have a job in this "group," but in Nicole's mentality, she does it herself. So if we can use that mentality amongst us as a whole, we have to respect it for her alone... More importantly, we can't question why we don't understand it. We can't ask her to explain herself. We have to allow her to be her in whatever form it is, and trust in it for the future...
Hailey Brooks: Well that's asking a lot, isn't it? I mean, let's be real, Kirsten, we don't know much about the rest of that Alter...
Kirsten Scott: But is it out job to, or to respect it?
Hailey Brooks: But what about the damn duck?
Kirsten Scott: Firstky, it's not our job to understand the alter. And as for the duck, I don't get it either. But for Ducky it means something. It means something special. So we have to let it just run its course. We can't fight back against something we don't understand. It'd be like everyone wondering why we trust Jake Starr...
Jake Starr: Hey now...
Kirsten Scott: Are we wrong?
Hailey Brooks: She shifted her mindset from being rational to, what I would say is, not so much, because of a DUCK!
Kirsten Scott: And I get your mentality... But Ducky and Pro don't look at a duck in the same light. Just like you and I didn't look at Jake Starr in the same light, and you thought he was a cancer!
Hailey Brooks: Fair point...
Jake Starr: Hey wait a minute...
Kirsten Scott: Just shut up right now...
Jake Starr: No! She grasped this duck, immediately named it "Fluffy Butt Quacker," and jumped into our vehicle, petting it, with a grin on her face.
Hailey Brooks: I won't lie, I expected her to begin to, "love it, stroke it, pet it, and name it George."
Kirsten Scott: Give up on the damn duck. Both of you just fucking STOP! I'm not stupid, and neither should you two be. This is where we have to accept there are things in life we do NOT understand. This is the time where have accept the fact that I don't necessarily "see" the "future" you both see, but I have to trust in you, am I right? The Alter that she has, that isn't our responsibility. It isn't our reliability. Instead it is something we can urility, not in a sense of being predatory, but instead understand and utilize like they would utilize each of us. In a sense, we are are our own alter, but instead of as one person, we are as such as a group, and we want to bring them in as part of it.
Sure, they have their respective identities. Sure, some are less predictable. But aren't we all? Wouldn't I just fuck the world for a giggle on my own accord? Wouldn't you, Jake, want to manipulate the group to get some revenge against someone who fucked you over? Hailey woulsn't you want to just bitch-slap someone who you didn't like because they talked shit?
WE are a fucking alter ourselves. Unlike Nicole, we are just multiple individuals, instead of one. And we have to fucking respect that... And while I am, personally, no expert, I respect it...
Pro: ANYONE... ANYONE... Care to tell me why I now have a fucking duck?
Kirsten Scott: Nope... Nope...
Kirsten Scott: You know... Funny story...
Supreme Championship Wrestling, as an organization, has been a place of many different facades. Outside the homestead of Hailey and Kirsten, Hailey, Kirsten and Jake all are located around Jake's vehicle, talking. The issue at hand is obvious, and it's that of the events at the farm. For everyone, the shift from Pro to Ducky is something Hailey and Kirsten are not quite sure if is something to be completely concerned about, whereas Jake's past with Ducky, does have him more concerned. There is some concern with Hailey, but she doesn't want to jump to conclusions, having committed to the group as a whole, and the "bigger picture." Jake, however, is completely torn, knowing his history, and knowing what has been happening in front of him, since he had his final moment in SCW.
Hailey Brooks: ... The fact is simple... This is a major change from what we all, kind of, came to an agreement to...
Jake Starr: ... Eh I'm sure she's... Fine?
Hailey Brooks: Fine? That bullshit response tells me you have no clue...
Kirsten jumps in.
Kirsten Scott: Ok can I be someone that you two actually listen to for once?
Hailey gives a thumbs up, and Jake nods.
Kirsten Scott: ... This isn't something we can understand on the surface. For fuck's sake, nonw of us know ourselves that well. This is an Alter. Kirsten smirks.

Jake freezes,
Jake Starr: Ok you win there...
Kirsten continues.

Jake cocks an eyebrow, whereas Hailey nods.
Hailey Brooks: Fair point...
Jake Starr: Hey wait a minute...
Kirsten shits him down.
Kirsten Scott: Just shut up right now...
Jake resists.
Kirsten rolls her eyes.
Kirsten Scott: Give up on the damn duck. Both of you just fucking STOP! I'm not stupid, and neither should you two be. This is where we have to accept there are things in life we do NOT understand. From the shadows a figure begins to appear. All three can hear it and turn in the direction. They immediately see Nicole, as Pro, annoyed, as she approaches them with the duck in hand.
Pro: ANYONE... ANYONE... Care to tell me why I now have a fucking duck?
Jake goes to respond, but is cut off by Kirsten.
Kirsten Scott: Nope... Nope...
Kirsten looks at Pro, and can only reply in one simple way.
Kirsten Scott: You know... Funny story...
The scene ends with Kirsten asking Hailey to take the duck to the side of their apartment complex for food, while Kirsten asks Pro to take a walk with her, so she can explain what happened at the farm after their talk. Pro is not happy with the situation and Kirsten explains it's simply part of the trust process, not insulting or belittling what happened, or the acquisition of the new pet.
