Giovanna Steward | "Cyberpunk"
Backstage, Gigi finishes getting changed in her locker room. Her bag is packed and the locker empty. Gigi throws on her leather jacket. She grabs her bag and leaves. Gigi heads out of the arena for the night. Keeping her eyes to the ground, not making eye contact with anyone. She just wants to make it out of there after her heartbreaking loss.
Gigi steps outside of the arena. She pulls out her phone to look through her contacts for a number to call. Before she can find Sasha D. pulls up to the curb in a really nice Mercedes and stops in front of Gigi.
“Hey G.” Sasha calls out rolling down the passenger window. “Need a ride?”
Gigi puts her phone away and hops into the passenger seat. Sasha drives off.
“You can just drop me off near the hotel. I just want to dive into a pillow and sleep tonight.” Gigi looks at the floor of the Mercedes. Her eyes then move around and check out all the features inside. Gigi has a look of amazement. “Wow, this is a really nice ride.”
“Yeah, it’s the new model. It will come out next year.” Sasha says with a smile. “You know, you shouldn’t be too hard on yourself about the Television TItle loss. It was a really good attempt.”
Gigi nods her head knowing Sasha is right. She’ll be better next time. “Yeah, I know. I shouldn’t be disappointed, but I just… I just need to get some sleep.”
Gigi leans her head back and rests in the head rest. She closes her eyes and takes a breath calming herself down. Gigi goes back to checking out the car some more and pops open the glove box. There she finds some cyber glasses and takes them out to check them out.
“Oh cool, cyber glasses.” Gigi slides them on her face. The frames light up with a purple glow. A mainframe appears on the lens.
“Yeah they’re pretty nice.” Sasha nods her head.
The glasses scan Gigi’s eyes and a new user profile pops up on the lens. She slides them back off her face. The lights on the cyber glasses go off.
“Did they scan my eyeballs?” Gigi voices a concern. Wondering what kind of big brother thing she just got herself into.
“They do that, yeah. Why are they stuck in the glove box?” Sasha explains.
Gigi puts them back on and the glass lights up again with their purple glow. She taps the side of the frames to navigate the mainframe to scroll through the internet. Gigi nods in approval.
“It’s actually not that bad.”
Gigi browses the internet on the glasses for a few minutes. They finally make it to the hotel. Gigi steps out of the car. She hands the glasses back to Sasha.
“Go ahead and you can keep them. You looked like you were having fun.” Sasha smiles at Gigi waving her away.
“Thanks Sasha. I’ll give them back at the next show.” Gigi closes the door for Sasha to drive away.
Gigi walks into her hotel room and puts her bags down by the door. She goes over to the bed and falls down on it. Still wearing the cyber glasses and looking at the ceiling. The mainframe looks imprinted there. An email notification pops that catches Gigi’s eye. She taps the frames to open it. The soft purple of the glasses changes to searing red. The email opens and reads it.It’s an official SCW email that was sent out. Notifying Gigi about the next couple of weeks for Breakdown’s theme. The return of Fatal Fortunes.
Gigi removes the glasses from her face. The red lightning turns off darkening the room without its glow.
“Fatal Fortunes. No doubt Katie would use this as an opportunity to get herself a tag title shot. Her fortune would mean my fatal.” Gigi shakes her head, sliding the glasses back on her face, but raising it up on her forehead. “Why am I worried? Maybe Katie will get paired with someone else and it’ll free me up to face someone else.”
Gigi smirks, seeing the fortune side of things for herself. Maybe things are starting to go her way. First the TV title shot and now potentially getting Katie involved with someone else and she gets to be on her own.
Gigi slides the glasses back down on her face and they light up with its red glow illuminating the hotel room. She tries to visit SCW’s website so she can look over potential partners for Katie. She unfortunately doesn’t get that far. Ads pop up on the mainframe.
“I guess you can’t escape capitalism in the future. These really are cyberpunk.” Gigi shakes her head.
Gigi closes the Ads and works her way through back to the plain mainframe. She gets to the last ad, but freezes up. It catches her eye. This ad is different from the others. It's for a mega conglomerate church. The colorful pink usage of the ad and flashy texts. It doesn't surprise her. She knew this was an ad for Katie to get people to come and see her.
"What even is this?" Gigi says to herself. She clicks the ad to follow it down the rabbit hole.
Several hours passed by and the night sky transitioned to the morning dawn. Gigi wakes up on the bed. She must have dozed off while exploring the internet on the cyber glasses. She looks at the glasses on the bed and puts them back on. Nothing happens. No light.
“They must be out of juice. Well that was fun while it lasted.” Gigi goes back to her phone and checks the time and sees it’s way passed when she would’ve been up. “Shoot!”
Gigi rushes herself to clean up and gather her things as she heads out of the hotel room and checks herself out. She gets an uber to take her to the airport and head home.

“Fatal Fortunes. How bad is this going to be for me? I have so many goals that I want to see though. So many dreams I want to become reality. I’m prepared to fight for them with whatever destiny has in mind for me. I know what Katie’s heart and mind are set on and if she gets her way, which is totally a thing and I’m not looking past it. Katie always gets her way and I’m expecting we’ll be in some kind of a tag team match at Fatal Fortunes. I can handle this. I know Katie better than anyone and she trusts me more than anyone. No matter what team we were to draw in Fatal Fortunes we’ll be at our best.”
“So whether it’s a shot at the tag titles, a number one contenders match or just any tag team that’s fortune is thrown our way. We’ll be ready. Katie needs this. I want this. I know I’m kind of set in my way of wanting to break free and be on my own, but the tag team titles are something special for me. I have Katie and I have my Maddy and I love them both. The dream of winning the title with either would be something special to have. I know I’m mad at Katie lately and she’s been really pushy lately. It still doesn’t change a thing. If we get something together in this fortune. I’ll be by her side 100%.”
“Now Fatal Fortune does have a chance for chaos. Anything can and probably will happen. Maybe Katie and I won’t even be partners. The best way to make chaos is literally throwing anyone in my place and being Katie’s tag team partner. Maybe, even Katie and I might even face off in Fatal Fortunes.”
“...”
“Yeah I don’t know about that. I just got to focus on myself and what I want. That is not to make this fortune turn fatal for me. I just need to make a statement. Whatever happens. In all the chaos that Fatal Fortune brings to SCW. Whatever matches happen. No matter what. I need to make my statement. If I’m winning with Katie or winning on my own. Whatever happens. Gigi Steward is going to be walking out of Breakdown being a fortunate one.”

OOC: Seeing my dumbass forgot I had a friend over, I decided to write the blog and post the RP now so I can focus all on my other RP I have to do with Konrad also elsewhere when my friend is gone.
![[Image: 1lgk2bG.jpg]](https://i.imgur.com/1lgk2bG.jpg)
Barberville, Florida. Saturday 2nd December. (Offline)
Since eight in the morning, while I was in Pensacola, Florida, I've been up because every driver competing at the Snowball Derby was told to meet the organiser of the Snowball Derby at nine in the morning. Nine in the morning, right on the dot, the Snowball Derby organiser said the races for today have been cancelled due to the weather. The Snowball Derby takes place tomorrow, and the Snowflake Derby is on Monday.
The others were disappointed, but it was great news because I could go to Barberville, Florida, to race there instead, as predicted yesterday. I got my truck driver to bring my UMP Modified car, giving me extra time to work on the car before the Gateway Dirt National Invitational UMP Modifieds race that dirt and even some NASCAR racing fans selected me to do. It was a huge honour that I will commit to.
But I also brought my teammate for the Snowball Derby, Derek Kraus and my good friend, who got me tickets to watch him race in the Snowball Derby last year, to Barberville with me. We left Pensacola straight after the meeting about everything being cancelled today and went to the nearest airport to fly to Orlando and get a taxi to Volusia's dirt track.
Derek Kraus was a guy who's into professional wrestling as well as American Football; he ended up bringing Erik Jones along for the ride as they were close friends, but I forgot he was my teammate briefly for the time I was driving Jimmie Johnson's car back in Phoenix for the Cup Series race via invitation to prepare the car for next year on top of me learning to drive a Chevrolet car too.
We walked around the dirt track, and William was shocked as he had never been to Barberville dirt track before. He saw all the names, and there were many drivers I didn't know this time around, although I signed up at the last minute. I had to do a last-chance qualifier race to race in the feature race today. The first thing Derek talked about with me was professional wrestling, being a fan and doing some races with Kaulig Racing as we walked around the dirt track garages.
Derek Kraus: "How's the good old wrestling going?"
William Byron: "Yeah, I've never heard you talk about wrestling since we've been together."
Konrad Raab: "Well, I got to be honest, I'm not entirely happy about this lottery wrestling bullshit they got next week. Thank god for Daytona Beach IMSA testing with Jenson Button, Jordan Taylor and Colton Herta on Tuesday and Wednesday."
Derek Kraus: "What, for real, you're doing the IMSA Rolex Twenty-Four-hour race in January next year?"
Konrad Raab: "Yes, only just honestly. The team I was going to race with pulled out at the last minute, so there was a rapid change for me to be a part of the WTR (Wayne Taylor Racing) Andretti team. Got very experienced teammates that will help me improve my road course racing which I completely suck at."
The one thing I was disappointed with on my NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship winning run was that I didn't have a single Road Course win to my name. But Erik Jones, my teammate he was for one race, had something to say.
Erik Jones: "I've been watching some of your Xfinity Series races this year; I have to with Derek Kraus racing in that, and you've not done too badly on road courses. Winning the Xfinity Series Championship is a big deal. I came forth in the Xfinity Series Championship back in two thousand and sixteen. It's not an easy championship to win."
Derek Kraus: "Even I was shocked I could get a stage win at the Homestead-Miami race despite the decision being a complete accident."
Konrad Raab: "Ah, I never knew you've been part of the Xfinity Series, Erik. Interesting."
William Byron: "Bet you didn't know I won the Xfinity Series Championship as a rookie a year after Erik Jones competed in the championship. They are right; it is massive for you and takes many balls to defend the championship."
Konrad Raab: "Because I know I got to win a Road Course race in NASCAR Xfinity Series before I can move up. Kaulig Racing always said the Cup Series full-time spot would be available when I'm ready. They are such a great team."
I felt so much more welcome in Kaulig Racing and meeting Josh Williams for the first time as he was part of the Xfinity Series team with the number eleven car and me being in the number ten. I could be in the number fourteen car if Kaulig Racing find a driver to race the number ten car. I showed them my UMP Modifieds car as we walked across the field for William, Erik and Derek to look around.
Konrad Raab: "Here's my UMP Modifieds car. I got everything changed to a Chevrolet engine and everything. This baby has made me win a few races, including a few weeks ago. Beautiful machine, don't you think?"
William Byron: "I've seen Kyle Larson drive one of these lately. He experiments with everything, even doing an Indycar race next year."
Konrad Raab: “Oh, I know. He's such a suitable icon for the sport."
Erik Jones: "From getting to know you more from the Phoenix Cup Series drive, you are as well. With wrestling and racing, you do a lot to grow both sports domestically and internationally."
Derek Kraus: "You seen what he's done to Kandis lately?"
Derek had to bring Kandis up, but I knew what he was getting at. I knew my feelings for what she did to one of my teammates on the show last week.
William Byron: "I find it funny, though. Like she's so pissed about you attacking her during her match, yet she went to attack your teammate because of your actions."
Konrad Raab: "I wasn't mad at all. I laughed so hard after it happened that it only made her a bigger coward. She could've easily come to attack me during the match against Polly, and I wouldn't even care. I'm still laughing about it now."
Erik Jones: "That was weird how she got all bitchy about you attacking her during her match, and yet, she couldn't come to attack you directly. Had to attack that Dakon guy. He's your tag partner, right?"
Derek Kraus: "Yes, and that Ludvig dude as well. I have to ask, though, what is the purpose of that team?"
I don't blame Derek for asking, considering I hadn't been around Dakon and Ludvig much and I didn't need to because I wanted them to find rivalries of their own as a team and I join in if I had to, which was the whole purpose of the Polly match to begin with. I'm okay with who they choose as a target. But Derek, William and Erik had to know the situation with them and the wrestler I got planned coming up.
Konrad Raab: "European Fiery Nation are a team where we're trying to build a stable strictly only of European countries for wrestlers to be encouraged to become professional wrestlers. There might be a lot of European drivers and riders, but when it comes to wrestling, unless you are from the United Kingdom or Ireland, there are no European wrestlers from outside of those two countries."
William Byron: "Yeah, I've noticed that most wrestlers are from English-speaking countries."
Konrad Raab: "I'm so fed up with the lack of European Wrestlers in Professional Wrestling that I've opened up a wrestling school in Germany exclusively for European Wrestlers outside of the United Kingdom and Ireland. To get other European wrestlers a chance to become professional wrestlers. But that's what they are helping me with, and I'm already bringing in Turkish European talent pretty soon, and I've got a French wrestler lady on the wings I'm in discussions with."
Derek Kraus: "Turkish, did you get him when you went to Turkey during the help you provided them from the Earthquakes?"
Konrad Raab: "Exactly, more he came to me to ask me to help him. Not many wrestlers would do that."
We talked for as many hours as possible since I had nothing to lose regarding this race as I was more or less volunteering to do it at the last minute because it beats being in the motorhome over in Pensacola doing nothing but watching the rainfall. Why stay there when I could easily focus on setting up my UMP Modifieds car for the Gateway Dirt Nationals Invitational Race in three weeks?
Erik Jones: "Bro, that's so kind of you to offer some Turkish kid a job to be a professional wrestler. That has me wondering, is that your plan to get out of wrestling and race against some of us in the NASCAR Cup Series full-time?"
Konrad Raab: "That's exactly right. He needs a lot of money so I will train him during Christmas. Some of my children from my second marriage, Jasmine and I, are going to Germany to celebrate Christmas. Dirt Racing Nationals are perfect timing, considering Jasmine must go to Japan next week to qualify for the Olympics."
Speaking of Jasmine, there she comes as she holds my hand, and we kiss in front of my friends; she obviously overheard my conversation with the guys about her.
Jasmine Williams: "I'm a professional skateboarder, so I have my own thing going on as well. Our relationship is pretty slow because of how busy we are. Konrad would love to see me do my skateboarding stuff, but he has racing to do. However, he promised to watch me skateboard in the Olympics."
Konrad Raab: "I have every faith you'll successfully qualify for the Olympics as you're so good at what you do. She's really famous."
William Byron: "Compared to the other bitch."
Konrad Raab: “Much bigger. I've seen what Jasmine can do in the streets and skateparks, and she's excellent."
Derek Kraus: "I thought I've briefly seen X-Games this year. Really nailed your run, huh?"
Jasmine Williams: "Oh yes, and I got a gold medal. Now, I'm also seeking to be a vert skateboarder. The street is about a few ramps, but you hop over them and have grind rails to slide the skateboard on. Vert is just all about ramps."
Suddenly, one of the local UMP Modifieds drivers came to me, and he rushed straight towards me; luckily, I was in my dirt racing leathers anyway, just a little far from my UMP Modifieds
car.
UMP Modifieds driver: "Sorry to interrupt the conversation, but you need to get your ass in your UMP Modifieds and do some hot laps as your group is up next."
Konrad Raab: "Shit, thanks for telling me. Gotta go, boys. This won't take long, and I'll tell you more about my plans to destroy Kandis."
I ran straight to my car and quickly put my lid over my head and strap in before I got into my car and put my belts on before putting the window net on my UMP Modifieds car and went to line up with the rest and did a rapid couple of laps. Then I got out and saw how much Jasmine was getting along with my friends while watching me. I caught up to them.
William Byron: "Man, those cars are noisy as hell."
Konrad Raab: "Yes. As I was saying, I got plans to burn the prostitute for good this time and to tackle whoever they throw me in with, although Dakon and Ludvig said they'll let me win without a fight if we do end up facing each other. Right now, I'm not interested in championships until after I've dealt with Kandis. She needs a beating more than anyone, although I got my eye on The Enigma, a new wrestler in SCW, catching my attention of opponents I want to face in the ring."
Jasmine Williams: "Konrad, what about you spend time with me and let the lads get to know other dirt drivers?"
Konrad Raab: "That sounds like a great idea. Excuse me; my lady friend and I will spend private time together. You guys get sorted until I compete in the upcoming heat races."
They understood and walked away as Jasmine asked for it, showing how much she liked being with me. We hadn't yet attempted to say the famous three words, but I was getting closer to it. We walked back to my garage, and I turned the button to close the doors and lock them.
I also turned the lights off, and we had private time together until I was called for the second heat race. Then, I qualified for the feature race and finished 3rd in the UMP Modifieds race. After the race, we headed back to Pensacola, Florida, for tomorrow's Snowball Derby Super Late Models tarmac race.

Fatal Lottery Bullshit blog (Online)
“Honestly, I feel for my team to be put in this bullshit situation of potentially doing solos matches. You see, you may have heard their videos, but they want nothing to do with facing all of you in solos matches. They were signed to compete as a team, not to be solos wrestlers. Facing them and Alistaire Allocco would be a disaster because I don't ever want to face them, but that's what I hate and I don't know why CHBK wants this bullshit Fatal Lottery shit to happen.
Other than those three opponents, I'm all game of facing anyone else in this because you know me, I will tear and burn the living shit out of anyone. Even Kim is in the middle because while I do not face people who I don't consider an enemy like my team and Alistaire, it would be one boring match, but I can't deny that I enjoy a bit of Underground matches because I love that shit and I can't deny it.
But we also have to address the other elephant in the room, hey prostitute Kandis? You made me laugh, literally. I'm not mad about you attacking Dakon at all, nice try you stupid prostitute, but it failed. What the attack on Dakon has made you be is a coward. I knew you couldn't fucking have my head because in reality, you say you don't fear me.
You do and if you weren't afraid of me, you would've come to the ring while I was wrestling Polly and take my head off instead of attacking someone who hadn't touched or done anything to you because I told him and Ludvig right from the start I handle my own problems. At least all the attacks I've done to you have been by my own fucking hand, Dakon and Ludvig had nothing to do with anything I've done. I've planned every single shit myself.
You better fucking hope I don't have you in the ring because you're waiting to enter into your own personal hell of your prostitute days and showing how fucking ugly you are over. Whoever I face in this bullshit lottery wrestling draw, nothing changes, I still will get Kandis's fucking head, making her bleed and burn her body she loves so much to pieces. Also the thought of the idea of you and I teaming together makes me fucking sick. I will attack your ass before the tag match even gets going. Not gonna be stabbed in the back from your plastic ass again.
Everything else is all go and there is one talent that I got my eye on I've not spoken about and he's captured my fucking interest. The Enigma. I would love to face that guy because to be honest, he's the kind of wrestler who really is making a name for himself and he really stands out. He's threatening and dangerous, just the kind of guy I want to face. Since the day you walked in here, this is rare I give you credit for this, but I do. I wonder what you can do when you'll get thrown in Underground matches when you go up against the King and Queen of Chaos Wrestling aka me and Kim?
Continue doing your work because the more you wrestle and more I hear you talk Enigma, more I'm interested in facing you. I will still despite the respect I show beat the living shit out of you, make you all blooded and possibly burned, but maybe I won't go that far with you since you've done nothing to piss me off, but gathering my attention, you have.
Also I don't give a flying fuck about the loss against Polly. She got angry and mad and that's what I expected out of her. I got blooded and so did she. Big deal, losses like wins mean jackshit. All I care about is fucking people up, Kandis specifically. I will show this entire place what the king of chaos is all about because no other guy has been proving me wrong with how much I can out violence them or even Kim for that matter.
Bring on deathmatches and bring on fucking inferno matches. Heck, bring on me, Ludvig and Dakon capturing the tag titles because as much as I don't care for winning titles, as I said, the team do and it's because they know if they become tag champions, they can promote European Wrestling and wrestlers in a way I fucking dreamt about for years and not just have European Wrestlers based in the United Kingdom and Ireland, yet nobody even realises this, not even the useless fucking commentators. They are violent because it's what drew them into wrestling you fucking idiots. Not sticking to the rules pinfall and submissions bullshit. There is no other sport in the world you can use weapons to beat down your opponent. No other sport in the world where they don't stop matches or fights when someone bleeds.
My guys are doing their job and they are seeking out rivalries of their own with my contribution added to it. They don't need to win matches part from capturing the tag titles to accomplish their goal. They've already achieved one of their goals of being wrestlers from other parts of Europe. But I will brutalise, beat and bloody the living hell out of any and everyone not named Dakon, Ludvig and Alistaire and succeed in it, whether I'll win or lose.
Also Kandis, next time you want to come for me and you know I'm having a match, attack me in the fucking ring, don't use Dakon and Ludvig as sending me a message because it won't work and I'll laugh if you do, considering you're such a tough girl, but you're not, you've become weaker and weaker because of me. I'm the devil and the devil is one you fear and you're too pussy faced to admit that what I've been doing scares the hell out of you, knowing your body is at risk of being burned and nobody will ever see the day of light of you exposing your stupid bikini, nudes and your prostitute behaviour again you fucking hooker.
While all of you I treat the same and I'm not going to back down from any of you pathetic pieces of work. I'm going to destroy you all and the only thing you'll be happy with is a win and I always make my opponents look like they've lost matches because that's how I am and I don't give a shit about being champion because you don't need titles to be the top wrestler, just an extra prop to show off. I don't need that shit, I know I'm the top wrestler and don't need some piece of tin belt to say otherwise. If you need titles to show your the top wrestler, you shouldn't be wrestlers. Simple as that.”

{NEHMIAH: Chapter 7}
... And it happened. My parents and I, face to face, for the first time since I brought their entire world crashing down on them. My father, the man who helped bring me into this world, being completely disingenuous to me, and I could see through it. These were the people who were supposed to love me unconditionally, and one of them was there trying to simply get me back on their side, for their own personal gain.
My question is, why now?
Why, when I had been called out by Emma and Hailey, where they could see through my safeguards, see my vulnerabilities, and know that I have qualms about the fact I don't have the perfect relationship with my family, like others do? That is the question that I ponder and I wonder if time and if everything truly falls into the trope of "everything happens for a reason?"
Does it?
Did I encounter them for a reason?
I don't know... And not knowing is something that doesn't sit well because that has only been my position when I was told to go to my room, not come out, and my parents would engage in activities I still hate to think about. I feel like not knowing is putting me back in my room, and putting me back in a position where there is something happening in my blind spot and it's my job to just act like nothing is wrong. And all I ask is one simple question...
Why?
Why would the people who brought me into this world put me in a position where they realized the damage they did in making me "look the other way," and then just immediately think they could impose their will again? Why would they want that for their daughter? Why would they want to hurt me for their own satisfaction?
This is the turmoil that boils inside me. This is what I live with. This is how I feel day-in and day-out. Hailey and Emma were able to push through my barriers and now the floodgates of emotion are spilling into my blood and making me ill just feeling everything that I feel. I am "The One," and my job isn't to "feel" anything, but here I am, worried about people who don't give a damn about me. They look upon me as a pawn in a game and it's pushing me to the brink of wanting to do the one thing, the one thing...
THE... ONE... THING...
... That I never thought I would ever do, once I took the role of "The One," and that's... Run...
In the duplex being lived in by the group of Emma, Ethan, Hailey, and Kirsten, everyone but Kirsten sits inside in various rooms, watching television, napping, or just enjoying the quiet. Kirsten, however, is atop the balcony, once again outside, overlooking the "wildlife" that their current home backs up to. She listens to the cows mooing, the frogs in the creek ribbiting, trying to clear her mind of the event that had happened days prior.
Since the encounter at the grocery store, where she, effectively, confronted her parents, not being prepared or ready, she has had her mind racing. She has felt a sense of anger, a sense of pain, a sense of every negative emotion imaginable, and done everything she could to hide it from the rest. Her self-expulsion from the group, on the balcony, though, has told them all that something is wrong and not sitting well with her. It's this uncomfortable situation that leads Emma, the leading empath to the group, to approach the surrogate to Kirsten, in Hailey, and see what the next steps should be, even though she is in her room, alone, reading a book.
Emma Taylor: Hailey...?
Hailey looks up, toward her doorway, to see Emma.
Hailey Brooks: What's up? Everything ok?
Emma Taylor: I... I don't know... Something is wrong with Kirsten, and I feel it. I feel it deep inside my heart, and I don't know what to do. I don't want another situation where she yells. It hurts me more than she recognizes...
Hailey Brooks: I can promise you, she feels bad anytime she yells at you... Me, she knows I'll get over and she'll get over... You... You're different. And that's not something I'm mad about. We all handle confrontation differently. She and I handle it more aggressively than you and her. Trust me when I say, she still feels bad about how she confronted you...
Emma looks down, feeling a sense of relief, knowing her "one person" wasn't harboring anger toward her. She looks back up at Hailey and continues.
Emma Taylor: ... That... Helps... But the fact is, I still feel this about her NOW. I feel something isn't "OK" with her, right now, and she's in a bad place...
Hailey realizes Emma doesn't know what happened.
Hailey Brooks: Let me say this... She came face to face with her parents, and I don't think she was ready for it. It wasn't pretty to say the least. She's been quiet with me, too, since then. She's been a bit distant. I've let her be...
Emma quickly jumps in.
Emma Taylor: But that's not how she is with me, and I can't let her be... I can't let her suffer... Especially when I feel it, too...
Hailey Brooks: I get that, and I wish I knew how we could snap her out of it, but I don't know what the magic words are. There is no "alakazam" for this situation. Life doesn't have fixes like a simple computer program with a bug, that you can just insert a comma in, and everything work. Life sucks. Sometimes, we suffer...
Emma shakes her head.
Emma Taylor: NO! No we don't! I'm not saying everything can be fixed, but she can quit being so distant. She can quit pushing us away. And it's time we do something, and try and get through to her... Together...
Hailey Brooks: Emma... I get it... You want her to be more emotional and trust us. I was in her shoes. It doesn't happen overnight...
Emma Taylor: But it HAPPENS! And WE can be the ones who begin that change...
Hailey takes a sigh and puts her book down.
Hailey Brooks: ... And I'm guessing you want us to go talk to her and get it out of her?
Emma Taylor: ... I mean, don't you think so?
Hailey Brooks: I'd personally hate you for it, but she wouldn't hate you for any reason, so I guess it's worth a shot...
Hailey gets up from her bed and follows Emma toward the balcony of their duplex. Emma reaches the door far quicker than Hailey, who is much less "gung ho" than her counterpart. From the outside, Kirsten sees the blinds move, on the door to their balcony, and realizes shes is about to have company, and takes a deep breath. From the inside, once Hailey and Emma are together, they emerge and take positions at both corners of the balcony, flanking Kirsten on both sides.
Initially, Kirsten's first reaction is fight and then flight, but she realizes who the two are, and realizes Hailey is the one closest to the door, making an escape a little more turbulent than she would like. She resigns herself back into her chair and just begins to look at each of them with a very stoic look on her face, trying to hide the emotion hiding behind it.
Hailey Brooks: So... You ok...?
Kirsten can't roll her eyes fast enough, knowing everyone knows where her emotions stand.
Kirsten Scott: Why no... No I am not! I just fucking go to the store to get us groceries and have my parents staring me down on aisle 12. Next thing I know my father is placating me, trying to make me be all happy-go-lucky, and my mother stands there like she's seen a ghost and just plays off of him. And here I am, you two knowing that I don't like the fact that our relationship died on behalf of me, and then I'm being asked, "hey bruv, you doing alright," like magically that wouldn't fuck with my mind?
So... No! I'm not OK!
I'm pretty fucking far from OK!
Emma takes a deep breath and Hailey leans back as if being blasted by the words of her friend.
Hailey Brooks: So, what you're saying is... You OK there, Marcellus?
Kirsten, not realizing what she said, lets out a snicker and droops her head down, then takes a breath and lets the seriousness of the situation take hold again.
Kirsten Scott: Shut up...
The fact is, if you want me to be blunt, is I didn't get m holy reunion, like you did. I didn't get me and my family making up and hugging and planning the meal we all got to sit around and eat. What did I get? I got my parents staring me down in a fucking grocery store. I got my father trying to play me like his little ape that he had run his whole life. I got to have my mom stand there and do NOTHING while he tried to manipulate me.
I got to have the ultimate embarrassment, where all of us, are the ultimate embarrassment to the public, because of who we are, and what we did. We aren't some heroes to many... We are the fucking villains and I felt that in that store while my own fucking father was trying to manipulate me. He wasn't trying to love his daughter, no, he was trying to get himself in a blessing where he felt fucking SAFE!
Kirsten sits up from her chair.
Kirsten Scott: ... Nobody realizes what it is I'm going through. Nobody understands what it is I'm facing every minute I sit down to think. You all think it is some simple "forgive or forget" situation... Don't you?
Hailey smirks.
Hailey Brooks: I guess I ask you this... Do you want me to tell you how STUPID you are, or not?
Kirsten Scott: Fuck you...
Hailey smirks again.
Hailey Brooks: I'll take that as a yes...
You are the dumbass, right now... You think, after all this time, me and my family has been this picket fence type of relationship as we have grown back together. You Have sat there and made it part of your mindset that we had no problems. But the fact is we we have so much further to go than you'd even imagine. Because our lives aren't all rainbows and unicorns, Kirsten. We still have shit to figure out. We have things I don't trust them on and vise versa.
But unfortunately you don't see that...
Emma wastes no time jumping into the discussion, and tries to redirect it away from the one V one situation being created.
Emma Taylor: What are you feeling, on the inside?
Kirsten's head slumps. She takes a breath because she knows Emma sees through her and lying would show her weakness in admitting how she feels in front of Hailey.
Kirsten Scott: I feel anger... I feel pain...
Hailey's eyes widen, seeing her friend actually admit emotions in front of her.
Kirsten Scott: ... I feel like I'm alone in this world because I don't have what everyone else has. I feel like I was a pawn in a game that was being played by those who are supposed to love me, and yet, only one is now seeing it. Y'all didn't see the looks in their eyes, like I did. My dad, he hasn't changed. He was trying to play me for a fool again. He wanted me to use me again, to protect himself, and probably get everything back he had lost.
But my mom...
Kirsten sighs.
Kirsten Scott: ... My mom, for the first time that I could remember, looked at me caring and happy to see me. My mom saw her daughter for the first time, and she was silenced by the man who just wanted to find ways to get his rocks off and have fun again. And then there was me... I couldn't trust, can't trust, either of them. My mom, she may have seen me, but she doesn't have the backbone to stand up to my dad. She doesn't have the strength inside. So I can't even trust what I see with my own eyes...
Emma Taylor: You should trust YOUR instincts and perceptions. Don't let someone else force you to believe what you don't believe yourself.
Hailey Brooks: And honestly, why can't you just reach out to your mom only? Just reach out and say, "let's talk..."
Kirsten shakes her head.
Kirsten Scott: Because, like I said, I couldn't trust her not to be coerced into telling my father everything, and him then trying to use it against me. Like I said, she has no backbone in this. I don't even know if she "liked" their arrangements with others, or just went along because she was "supposed" to.
I just feel he would ultimately manipulate her into telling him whatever he wanted to hear, including anything "deep" I told her...
It's at this moment her phone chimes an alert with a text message, and the preview of it simply says "Mom."
Kirsten Scott: Irony at its finest I bet...
She turns the phone to show Emma and Hailey who it is from, then turns her phone back toward her. She unlocks it to read the message, and it simply says, "We need to talk, just you and I, alone. I promise, alone. I'm sorry for everything.". Kirsten freezes, and Emma and Hailey both are curious. Kirsten just stares into the distance and hands her phone over to her friends to read, both of whom are shocked at the contents of the message. They hand Kirsten her phone back as she looks straight ahead and one single tear slowly begins to drip down her face, and her mind races with emotions, confusion, and concern about what this means, and ultimately, if it is legitimate. She tosses her phone on the outdoor table and just droops her head. Hailey slowly walks inside to get Kirsten something to drink, as Emma walks over, and crouches down in front of the woman she sees as a heroine, and simply hugs her, having sensed the pain she is facing inside. Kirsten leans her head into Emma's shoulder, knowing this is the one individual she can show pure vulnerability to, and allows another teardrop to fall.

The Witches of Alden
”Return”
Frost “Forever Home”
Manhattan, New York
December 2nd, 2023
12:34pm
How could being home feel so… off?
It was the question that had quietly rampaged through Deanna’s mind from the moment she had stepped back into the house this morning. It had been weeks since she had stomped out the front door – shortly before her Elimination Chamber match at Under Attack – leaving her Forever home, family… and wife – Not permanently! Her quickly mind told her. This whole thing had been meant to simply be a wake-up call to her pigheaded, stubborn partner! A few days’ absence, tops! She had been expecting phone calls or text messages after Under Attack, Selena wanting to talk to her and get things back on track… an effort to fix the situation that had spiralled out of control since Selena had walked out of SCW… something!
But still, here she was, nearly a month later, and the only message she had received – aside from the blasted “Good luck” text prior to her chamber match – had been sent to her a few days ago, and no less comforting.
“Need to head to my parents this weekend. Can you watch the kids?”
A message as distant and detached as had been the few interactions she had had with the ‘Snow Queen’ – the nickname seeming more appropriate to Deanna these days. Least she still has a nickname. The redhead sighed.
This ‘spat’, for lack of a better word, had been hard to explain to the kids. At first, Deanna had simply called them and explained that work was keeping her busy. It wasn’t a complete lie, at first, with Under Attack looming over her the first week, and Fatal Fortunes on the horizon. However, when she found herself sneaking to the kids’ school to spend lunch with them every day, the trio had become more and more suspicious.
Deanna hadn’t had a choice. It was the only time she could really see them without worrying about running into her wife. Selena never left the Black Arrow neighbourhood except to run errands, but Deanna couldn’t really rely on that, and there was no way she had allowed herself to risk going home. So, as many school days as she could make, the young wrestler had simply walked up and into the ‘play area’ to meet the kids and have lunch with them. Of course, she had to let them go when the bell rang or when David wanted to play with his school buddies – indifferent as he seemed about the whole affair. Amiliah just loved seeing her mom at lunch so she didn’t seem to mind, but Elsianna?
Her eldest had been the person Deanna had had to change her ‘excuses’ for. ‘Work’ was no longer believable after so many weeks, only accounting for a few days here and there with Breakdown and other engagements Deanna had to do as the SCW United States Champion. And with the number of times she had met with her mother in the last near four weeks, the young girl was certainly figuring things out.
So, Deanna had had to be honest with her oldest child. That her and Selena were going through a ‘rough patch’ and ‘working things out’ as they both transitioned to their new roles – Deanna as primary income supplier and Selena as ‘housewife’. It had been enough at the time when Elsa had asked it, but the redhead could see the growing uncertainty in her daughter’s eyes with each passing day…
As for her, Deanna hadn’t stepped foot inside the house since then. She had spent Thanksgiving, she chuckled sadly at the memory, ‘enjoying’ turkey slices she had nabbed from a grab-and-go at the grocery store, eating the plastic container’s contents (complete with already pre-mashed potatoes and a spoonful of stuffing) while sitting on her bed in her hotel room, watching some French-dubbed version of “It’s a Wonderful Life”, which, right now, certainly wasn’t!
But now, she was back home… and feeling more like a stranger than one of the owners/mother-figures of the house should. In truth, she had felt more ‘at home’ in the hotel room with the poor turkey and stuffing – ‘life on the road’ style that she had grown used to working with SCW.
With a sigh, the young woman glanced outside the nearest window to see her children playing in the backyard, all three of them bundled up to protect them from the cold. Though the snow had come and gone in Manhattan a few times over the last few weeks, there was still a clear ‘winter cold’ that swept through the city continuously, with gray clouds looming overhead that kept the sunshine from truly peeking through.
Symbolic… Deanna mused as she finished her kids’ lunch – tuna sandwiches with cheese and a handful of grapes and strawberries on the side. Why Selena had bought strawberries when they were out of season, Deanna wasn’t sure, but it was her wife’s money, she supposed. Finishing by adding a few juice-boxes to the mix, the mother brought the plate down the stairs and to the back exit of the house where the backyard was.
“Lunch time, guys!” she called out, immediately getting the attention of her three children. David and Amiliah ceased their running around of, Deanna assumed, their game of tag, shifting directions to rush up to the canopied deck that linked to the basement.
“Awww…tuna?” David whined, pouting out his lower lip for emphasis.
“YAY!” Amiliah remarked, immediately diving into her sandwich as Elsianna, quietly walking her distance, joined them at the outside patio table.
“No complaining, David.” Deanna warned gently, taking a seat in her own chair as she watched her children eat. Truthfully, she wasn’t the best cook and these ‘easy lunches’ was the best thing she could make, part of her not wanting to spend too much time away from her children and the other – immature as it sounded – not wanting to leave much of a ‘presence’ here after she left, as it could be counter-productive to the point she was trying to drive home to her wife!
“Where’s mommy?” Amiliah asked, her mouthful of bread, mayonnaise, cheese and tuna.
“Ami.” Deanna firmly, and without thinking, pressed. “What did we say about speaking with your mouth full?”
Guilt replacing her features, the child gulped down her mouthful before staring down at her hands. “Don’t do it. It’s rude.”
“That’s right.” Deanna nodded. “Now, is your mouth empty?”
“Yes, mother.” The youngest Frost nodded.
“Okay. What was it you asked?”
“Where’s mommy?”
The question was innocent enough, and one Deanna wasn’t too afraid to answer. “She’s visiting your grandparents.” Came the innocent reply.
“Oh… I wanna see grandma and grandpa!” Amiliah beamed.
“I’m sure you will.” The older redhead smiled, though she wasn’t sure what her wife was talking to her in-laws for. Maybe there had been some developments with the Alden witch group, and while Deanna continued to study, attend class, and do well – refusing to seem ‘weak’ in front of her wife in any capacity, she was not as social as she used to be with the Aldens. Not that they really noticed, more concerned with the Frosts’ progress – which had been shifting to Selena ever since the woman had quit SCW. More time, clearly. Deanna reasoned. Still, she had fallen into a sort of ‘routine’ of avoiding Selena for the few hours that their classes were. She’s come in, sit in the front, while her wife sat in the back, with Deanna refusing look behind her or even acknowledge her wife. Soon as class ended, she had grabbed her books and left without looking, usually walking past several houses to where she had parked her car to leave. Selena never tried to stop her or catch up with her or talk to her.
In short, they were avoiding each other, and until the platinum-blonde smartened up and started acting like herself again, Deanna was hellbent on keeping her demands real! If she could be stubborn… so can I!
“Mom…” again, Amiliah – the little redhead – was seeking her mother’s attention, which Deanna granted with a shake of her head.
“Sorry, baby.” She sighed. “I was day-dreaming, I suppose. What did you say?”
“She was wondering if we could see Grandma and Grandpa VanHohenheim for Christmas.” Elsianna quietly spoke, the light-haired daughter having watched her mother rather intensely as she quietly nibbled on her sandwich.
“Oh… yes, I think so.” Deanna answered, but quickly adding, “But I might be working those days as well…” and then adding again as she saw her youngest’s face drop. “But I promise I will find a way to spend some holiday time with you all. I promise!”
That seemed to please the younger Ami, but not the older Elsianna, who kept her eyes (so much like her Snow Queen mother’s) locked on Deanna. It actually had only recently sunk into Deanna’s mind as she gazed around her surroundings – the absence of Christmas decorations.
Usually, the Frost family, upon completing Thanksgiving (some years even sooner), would embark on decorating the house with Christmas, with as much splendor and glamour as they did for Halloween! Even the stone gargoyles ‘protecting the yard’ – Deanna stole a glance at them over Elsianna’s shoulder – would be decorated with festive lights in their ‘claws’ and ‘maws’. There would be figures in the yards, lights on the roof, a tree in the family room and gods… it was like the Spirit of Christmas had vomited all over the house some years.
There was nothing of the kind anywhere in the house.
“Kids…” Deanna tried to approach the subject delicately. “Have you guys started working on decorating the house?”
Slowly, all three children shook their heads.
“Mother doesn’t want to.” David shrugged, having finished his sandwich (begrudgingly) and working on his fruits and juice-box. “Every time Ami whines about it, she says she’s tired or busy.”
“I don’t whine about it!” Ami remarked – sounding a little like a whine to Deanna.
“You do too.” David shot back, the boy eyeing his sister. “’It’s not Christmas without a tree!’” he fake-whined, seeming to do an exaggerated impression of his younger sibling.
“I don’t sound like that!” the whine was becoming more of a cry from Amiliah, and Deanna could almost hear a slight sniffle come from the little redhead.
“David, stop.” She warned sternly. “You use to love Christmas that much too. I remember a year you cried when we were two days late in putting up the tree.”
“No, I didn’t!” David rebuked defiantly.
“Oh yes, you did!” Deanna laughed. “You believed that if we were any later, ‘Santa-‘” It was her turn to do an impression. “’Santa won’t visit me!’”
“And then I won’t get my Switch!” This imitation came from Elsianna, also adding her own spin on her little brother’s whine, causing a giggle to come from Amiliah, the child immediately perked up from her mother/sister’s act.
“Stop picking on me.” David grumbled.
“Then don’t pick on your sister.” Deanna instructed. “There is nothing wrong with being excited for Christmas.”
With a huff, David crossed his arms over his chest, his plate empty, same with his juice-box. “Not fair…” he grumbled under his breath. “Girls always stick together.”
With a roll of her eyes, Deanna ignored that last remark, even excusing the boy and Amiliah as they finished their lunches to resume their playing. Alone with Elsianna, Deanna watched her eldest eyeing her plate quietly for several minutes before looking up to stare at her mother, as if gathering unseen courage.
“Are you and mother getting a divorce?”
Emerald eyes grew wide at the question, and Deanna’s jaw dropped a little. “Where do you hear that?” she asked. “Are people talking about school?”
“No where.” Elsianna answered honestly with a shrug of her shoulders. “And no one is talking. I’m just wondering… and worried.”
“Worried?” Deanna tilted her head. “Elsa, you’re 12 years old.”
“I’ll be 13 soon.”
“Exactly!” Deanna shook her head. “You shouldn’t even be worried about this sort of thing.”
“Mom, I know what ‘divorce’ means.” A slight huff escaped the normally shy girl, her gloved hands tightening into fists. “A few of my classmates have divorced parents.”
“I…Okay…” Wow… Deanna’s mind raced. How the hell am I supposed to deal with this? Compared to this, hell, I’d settle with not knowing where and against whom I’m going to wrestle against with Fatal Fortunes! That seems much less daunting than this! “What…” her words came out slowly. “What makes you think your mother and I are getting a divorce?”
“You haven’t been home except today. You’ve only called me and David to talk to us or Ami, and every time I ask mother about you, she doesn’t really give me any answers either.”
“Sweetheart…” Deanna tried. She sure as hell did not want to be like Selena and seemingly give her daughter nothing. “I tried to explain it to you earlier. Mother and I are just going through a few issues right now. We’re working through some stuff with me being a full-time wrestler and her qu…her leaving SCW and all that.”
“But I heard her…” Elsianna’s voice trailed off, her eyes suddenly darting away for a moment to suddenly focus on her nearly empty plate of food. Even so, her words were not lost to Deanna, who felt her heart skip a beat (in a bad way).
“You heard Se- I mean, you heard your mother?” when no response was given, the 12-year-old choosing instead to fret the lacings of her black gloves, Deanna leaned forward, her small hand gently taking both of her child’s hands. “I need you to tell me, Elsianna.” She stressed her daughter’s full first name. “Have you heard your mother talking about divorce?”
The blonde girl took a shaky breath before slowly nodding her head. “I…I think so… but I’m not sure.” Quickly, her eyes flew up, almost surprised that she admitted this to Deanna, her words suddenly faster. “I mean… I think I did, but maybe the context was wrong. It was a few nights ago. I couldn’t sleep and Ami was upset and crying, so I went to find mother. I went down the stairs and I could hear her talking on the phone. I…” she stopped, her hands wiggling a little nervously in Deanna’s one. “I went to the family room and saw her talking to someone for a split second. And before she turned and saw me, I heard her say “Maybe divorce isn’t out of the question.”
The two, mother and daughter, sat in silence for a few seconds, one thinking and the other processing what they had just learned. “That’s… that’s why I asked.” Elsianna added, her voice laced with guilt.
Deanna, meanwhile, could not stop the spike of panic that erupted in her heart, but she refused to let it cripple her, letting the hit happen before slowly calming herself back down.
“Elsianna.” She stated, her voice a little shaky. “Your mother and I are not getting a divorce. I don’t know what you heard, but she and I have been through far worse than this. We just need some time to get back on the same page.”
“Is that why mom’s going back to SCW? So you guys can get back on the same page?”
Again, Deanna was stunned into silence by the child. “Back to… Okay, how much of your mother are you spying on?!”
“No, that…” Elsa shook her head at her mother’s shock, surprised by it, it seemed. “It’s been on the news and Twitter – X.” she remarked. “Didn’t you see the video?”
“Clearly not because your mother isn’t going back to SCW, Elsianna.” Deanna tried.
“But I saw it…” the younger woman looked around the room before releasing a huff. “Mom, may I be excused to get my phone, please?”
“Why do you- yes, okay.” Deanna settled on answering, letting her daughter leave the table and rush upstairs. Because of her own confusion, the redhead chose to ignore the sound of her daughter running up the stairs (which she was not supposed to do), instead choosing to clear her mind until her daughter returned, the short girl flicking through her phone with her finger.
“Right…. Here!” Elsianna remarked before turning the phone over to Deanna, who gingerly took it. Before her eyes, Deanna watched the YouTube video slowly play, complete with SCW graphic, Fatal Fortunes graphic/announcement and-
She almost dropped the phone as she saw her wife before her, the sight of ‘The Face of SCW’ and ‘Snow Queen’ Selena Frost standing there. Clips played one after the other of the platinum-blonde, some with her holding a title, others with her defeating superstars like Adam Allocco and Cid Turner. There was nothing new there – all old footage, Deanna recognized – but what the hell did that matter? Especially when the words “Witness the Return of Selena Frost!” flashed across the screen!
“H…how…” was all Deanna could verbally muster, after several minutes but her mind was racing. How had CHBK done it? Or management or whoever?! How had they made this possible? It couldn’t be real- immediately, her eyes flew to the source and her heart nearly stopped as she spied the channel was SCW’s official one! It WAS from SCW! Meaning... It was legit!
Selena… was coming back?
Again, her mind brought the question-train back around. What had SCW done? What had they offered? Her wife had seemed so certain that a return was out of the question, yet there it was! Proof positive that it was happening! If tickets weren’t sold out for both Fatal Fortune nights already, this would certainly make that happen, as well as bring ratings way up! Sure, Deanna still needed to defend the SCW United States Title, and she was still nervous as hell about not knowing the how or who of it but this development dwarfed the nerves she felt regarding that!
“How did he manage this?” Deanna asked, pressing the ‘replay’ button to start the video again, as if it would change the second time she saw it. Again, she saw her wife’s face – the old Selena Frost she had begged her partner to return to being – full of bravery and spirit.
“Maybe it wasn’t him.” Elsianna answered, trying her best to help her mother. Despite only nodding her head in response, Deanna heard the suggestion fully, causing her mental-direction to shift.
What if it had been Selena that had orchestrated this? But why would she? After promising that she would never return? What would have made her change her mind? Was it money? Were they in some kind of financial trouble? Was it ego? Didn’t seem that way before… Wait!/i] her mind halted her barrage of theories, focusing on the one she had been ignoring.
Her. Herself. Deanna.
The redhead tilted her head as she eyed the phone-screen. Had her plan actually worked? Had her fight with Selena sparked something within the older woman, prompting her into calling SCW and negotiate coming back?!
She didn’t know… and it was almost silly with how ‘stupid’ she felt.
She didn’t know which night she was to defend her title.
She didn’t know who she was defending the title against.
She didn’t know what match she would have to defend the title under.
She didn’t know what game Kristen ‘The One’ was playing with that Trios cash-in announcement.
And now, she didn’t know what the hell was going with her wife ‘returning’ and all this!
[i]I really don’t know anything… she laughed quietly to herself, rather ashamed, in that moment, of her own ignorance of so many things. She didn’t know much, but there was one thing she did know…
She had to see Selena. Right now!
“I…” she looked up to see her daughter waiting patiently for her, blue eyes watching her quietly. “I have to do something.” She handed the phone back to its owner. “Watch your sister and brother.” She gently ordered to Elsa, who gave a nod before leaving the table to join her siblings. Pulling out her own phone, Deanna made a quick call to get Gerda over to watch the kids, the redhead waiting only until the older woman was inside the house before rushing to get into her Jeep Liberty. Immediately, she was on the road, speeding down the interstate to get to New Jersey.
“What the hell is going on here?!” she said aloud, knowing the cars that sped around her couldn’t hear. She was confused, she was irritated… and more than anything else, she was growing more and more hopeful the closer she drew to Maplewood…
And given how vulnerable ‘hope’ had made her lately… she didn’t like it one bit!
