Hello. After losing at Rise to Greatness, I have passed on to the afterlife. At just 29 years old, I lived a decent enough life, but I now only exist in your memories and through these forums. I'll give you all a moment to take in this somber news.

Now that that's over and everyone is here, I'd like to give you all a chance to share some fond memories of myself back when I was still alive and thriving and perhaps share some words towards my short life. Let this thread serve as a celebration of my life.

Chad scrolled through the list of videos on his phone. Each one had a title and a picture beside it to highlight extreme acts of violence on South American children. Mutilations, beheadings in particular, were the most popular. One was showing a naked dead woman with an entirely different set of warnings but he had already went through the one temporary phase where that had actually been able to get him hard. It had come and gone, along with his interest. This included the videos he saw now. Sighing in disappointment, he considered other searches. Tortures, live executions, the internet had plenty of it but when he was honest with himself, he knew he needed more.

In the background he could hear Bianca blabbering on. Sometimes he wondered if beheading her would bring the joy of beheadings back into his life. He hated himself however knowing that deep down, he was a coward. The best he could hope for was getting someone else to do it and record it so he'd have a solid alibi when it became apparent she was gone.

He had done a fine job distancing her from all of her friends, her family, the three of them that potentially gave a damn about her. He had done everything he could have ever imagined he wanted to in shaping her into the perfect puppet, and now, whatever thrill that provided was now gone as well. He couldn't stand to lay a hand on her, it brought her far too much pleasure. He tried chemically burning her several times and while it pained her, while she absolutely despised it, while mentally she was in anguish at the thought of having permanent blemishes, it still brought her pleasure to make him happy and that was absolutely revolting.

It did to some extent make him believe that were God something real, he would have been able to understand this divine being better in why he would abandon his creation. Someone once said God is a woman. Chad told her he'd rape God too then. It was momentarily uplifting but the sad reality is upsetting the world just wasn't enough to get him off anymore.

He was old, he was growing weaker by the day. He believed whatever good days excited were long gone now and the only road left to travel was one of his own personal hell. The thought of taking out one of his many guns and shooting himself right between the eyes actually did bring some semblance of peace at one time. Although he was convinced now that whenever the time came for him to die, he'd at least want to take out as many people with him as he could.

That day wasn't today.

And so he suffered.

Walking out of the study, a room he geared up mainly for keeping files on random people he would take an interest in following and harassing, he could see Bianca in the living room eating and holding their child. Why he ever let her keep it, he couldn't say now. At the time he was under the illusion that he could create another direct copy of himself, to improve upon greatness. Common sense dictated that Bianca was that child's mother, he'd be better off drowning it.

He had forgotten what the child's name was.

“Cid Turner?! Wait! The Masta of Speed!”


Chad blinked before turning his attention to the television hanging on the wall that Bianca was watching. She had muttered on something about Rise to Greatness. Chad's wrestling days were done. He would never be what he was, he would never achieve his full potential. It was reality. He was too old and had let himself go too far physically. The same with all of those buffoons who tried to this day from that era.

"You have got to be shitting me," he muttered. And yet, on that screen was an individual Chad had known from an entirely other life back when he was an entirely different person. Someone who had no right to be there. The first thing that stood out was Cid looked like a bum. The second thing was he was making his return against the overhyped, overrated, garbage that is Dark Fantasy. From the ashes of a dead time, Cid was apparently returning in some sort of Rocky Six parody.

He was teamed with some other long-haired, bug-eyed f***** best Chad could tell. He may have been on the roster with him before but he was old now too and was no one of interest to him.

It didn't really matter. Chad stood there, seemingly mesmerized by what he was seeing. Bianca had noticed his interest and tried starting a conversation but he ignored her. Figuring he wanted to watch it with her she turned up the volume. He watched as Dark Fantasy stepped out. He ignored them entirely, lost in thought.

Asher Hayes. That was the other guy. Whatever.

As the theme for Cid began to play, Chad felt something in the pit of his stomach he honestly couldn't describe. The fans stood up and cheered, for a while. Cid was seemingly no where to be seen. The commentators said something but Chad had no interest in articulating or paying them any mind.

Finally, Cid stepped out and the crowd was reignited, roaring their praise. Chad felt something else and quickly wiped at his face. Stepping over to the television, he ripped it from the wall before turning and slamming it repeatedly into the floor. As it cracked, he took his foot and began stomping it down flat in half. Bianca gasped a little and stood up on the couch with the baby in hand. Ignoring them Chad continued stomping on the remains of that television. In his mind he was stomping at the image of what was put before him, he wanted it all to die. After several minutes he stopped, finding himself slightly out of breath. He looked over to Bianca.

If she had approached him, he was prepared to smack the shit out of her. Unfortunately she didn't. Grumbling under his breath he turned and began walking off. He had guns to clean.

Rise to Greatness XVII will go live tomorrow evening. I will also post a card for August 26, 2020, which will also note the first location of the new season. I will have an events calendar up soon (hopefully to J in a few days to post).

If someone wishes feedback, I will be happy to give it. I just likely won't respond until the weekend. This is largely because I have to catch up on some of my own work. For those who do not know, I teach university classes and well, things are a bit insane in terms of the new programs and options we have. So unfortunately, it's prevented me from finishing either lecture writing, or writing RTG, as quickly as I had hoped.

Been contemplating it a while, have been saying I’ll wait til the PPV is posted to weigh up my options for the remainder of the year. Not 100% with things right now, but I would like to not be booked at all until the first show in October.

This was a pet project a month and a half ago. I thought we needed a good place for remembering the greats so here we go. I plan on adding other accolades than title history when I get the lists from Oleksabob, such as tournament wins, End of Year awards, etc. So while it's not complete, I feel like there is enough to share this page.
